Democrats held a State of the Union counter program featuring frogs, giraffes and kitty cats. The "defiance" speech looked more like a furry convention than an actual political event where serious issues are discussed. Meanwhile in the House chamber, Democrats were lulled into President Trump's trap when he asked them bluntly to stand if they agreed "the first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens" Democrats remained seated.
