Fantastic.
Lauryn Evarts
And he's a serial entrepreneur, a very smart cookie. And now Lauren Everts and Michael Bostic are bringing you along for the ride.
Michael Bostic
Get ready for some major realness.
Lauryn Evarts
Welcome to the Skinny Confidential. Him and her.
Michael Bostic
Off air. You were telling us that your husband is like, it's like having two mothers to your kids. And, and I relate to that with Michael. Tell, tell us about that.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, so he's very hands on, especially when they were babies. Like he would, he would do the shower, he would change the diapers. And a lot of the men though, they, they don't do that. Like I know some dads that have never changed their kids diaper before, but Gianni's so hands on, dresses them, does whatever if I'm sick, he'll take care of everything. Yeah, he's, he's a great dad.
Michael Bostic
And you guys have been married for 10 years.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
It'll be 10 years November 29th.
Lauryn Evarts
That's a big milestone.
Michael Bostic
It's a big milestone.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Oh no. 11. I'm lying.
Lauryn Evarts
Oh, you already had the 10.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
We already had 10.
Michael Bostic
Ring upgrade immediately.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Wait, so I go off my daughter's age because I had Giovanna three months before our wedding, so she's turning 11 next week. So it's 11 years we've been married.
Michael Bostic
The anniversary is a little bit distracting.
Lauryn Evarts
So you skipped the 10 year anniversary you missed. That's like a big, that's a big one.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, we just like went out and had martinis. We didn't do anything crazy. But we promised ourselves that we were gonna go to AC for the night in Lenox City. Okay. And like just go and gamble and like have a night. Never did it.
Michael Bostic
Because kids, when you go out, does everyone come up to you when you're, when you're in Jersey?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Not really. I mean my town, I just feel like. So I moved to where my husband lives so everyone knows Gianni and it's basically all of his friends and family. So when I go like to Trader Joe's cvs, I just feel normal because everyone knows I live there. I've lived there for 10 years now.
Michael Bostic
So what's the secret to staying married for almost 11 years?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I don't know.
Michael Bostic
Well, how do you guys keep it sexy?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Well, even though we don't go on dates as much as I would like us to, and like trips, we do have, have like our movie nights.
Michael Bostic
Okay.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
So like we get the kids to bed and we have a spare room we go in the spare room and we'll have wine, or he'll make martinis and, like, snack boards, like, charcuterie boards. And we'll just watch movies all night. That's nice. Yeah. So you don't actually have to go out. Which I would honestly like to go out once in a while just to dress up and. Because he needs to recognize, like, I'm still pretty.
Michael Bostic
Yeah.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Like, at home, I look homeless. Yeah.
Michael Bostic
But, you know, I always.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
No makeup, baggy clothes.
Michael Bostic
It's okay to do that trick. It's a party trick. Like, what I like to do is get as ugly as possible in the house.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah.
Michael Bostic
And then, like, I'll get really dressed up to the point where it's like, he doesn't even recognize me. And then you just remind him.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. He's like, damn, she's hot. I forgot.
Michael Bostic
I do that, too all the time. I love to, like. I love to, like, take it to the edge of ugliness and then, like, totally give you whiplash.
Lauryn Evarts
Well, sometimes I even, like. We'll take walks in the neighborhood sometimes, and I'll be like, hey, we need to maybe, like, get a little bit dressed. You know what I mean? Like, the neighbors are looking.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah.
Michael Bostic
Like, wearing a muumu with, like, socks with. It's.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Oh, same. Yeah, yeah. Socks and slippers or sandals. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Lauryn Evarts
But it's like. It's like, almost like, borderline. Like. Like, you're not dressed for public occasions, if that makes sense.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
No, you should see me at school. Pickup.
Michael Bostic
What do you look like at school?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Pickup. Socks, sandals, or slippers, oversized sweatshirt, leggings, hair up in a bun.
Lauryn Evarts
That's, like, normal, though. Yeah.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
No, I look.
Michael Bostic
Some moms get.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I look sad.
Michael Bostic
That's okay, though. It's like.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
And then some moms come like this, sweetie. I'm like, oh, my God. Like, how do you do that?
Michael Bostic
I have a girlfriend that told me that she has a shirt. She has a shirt in, like, five different colors. It's a really nice shirt. And she says she'll look absolutely horrible. And then she'll go and grab one of the shirts in different colors for different days of the week, put it on, put sunglasses on, carry a beautiful bag, and walk in. Like, she's all put together and goes home and then just rips it all off.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Oh, so maybe that's what this girl does.
Michael Bostic
Yeah.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
She's always dressed to the nine. Like, heels. Like, I admire her for doing that.
Michael Bostic
It's a lot of work.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I don't have the energy, nor do I care. I don't care.
Michael Bostic
Oh, it's a lot of work.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I wish I cared more, but I don't.
Michael Bostic
Yeah. So I'm tired. You want me to care? He's always. Michael is actually the mom at school. You're not a mom, but you are always put together. He's dialed in all the time.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Men are easier, though.
Lauryn Evarts
Yeah, it's easy. I don't have to do it.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
It's easy for you guys to be put together.
Lauryn Evarts
Yeah. You just throw it.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Us, we have to get our hair done. We have a lot of hair. Put some sort of makeup on. Nice outfit. It's a lot.
Michael Bostic
Before you became famous, did you know that you were gonna be famous when you were little?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I wanted to. I always said I wanted to be a reality star because I was so obsessed with, like, the challenge and Road Rules and all, like, the MTV shows. So I was like, I really wanna be on MTV one day and, like, be a reality star.
Michael Bostic
So how does the tryouts come for Jersey Shore?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Well. Well, I did a show previously called Is She Really Going out with Him?
Michael Bostic
Yeah.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
And it was just like, see if I liked reality. It was like one episode, one day of filming, like, nothing crazy. I was like, oh, I loved it. That's so cool. But then I was, like, sending my tapes in for Real World, like, doing, like, the whole, like, audition tape and sending it in. I sent, I think, three in. They never call me back. So I was like, okay, that's not the show for me, even though I really want it to be on Real World. So then I was on MySpace or Facebook, one of those, and I saw an audition for Guidos and Guidettes. And I'm like, oh. Because that was literally, like, my lifestyle. Like, I loved tanning. I had the poof. I loved house music. It was just like, all the things. So I was like, oh, my God, this is, like, literally the show I'm supposed to be on. So I went to the audition, and then that was.
Michael Bostic
That when you went.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
It was like. It was meant to be. It was weird.
Michael Bostic
Oh, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah. No, that was.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
This was my calling.
Lauryn Evarts
But when you walk in, I mean, just because you were so good, I think. Did they just meet you one time and you're like, we found her. Keep having to go back?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
No, they said I was on, like, the top 10 list. And there was, like, a ton of people that tried out, but you had to go through, like, a ton of interviews.
Lauryn Evarts
Okay.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
So the first interview I went to, it was, like, in a dungeon at a dive. Bar, like in the basement. So I'm like, is this like a porno? Like, what is this? I felt really weird about it. Cause it was literally in the basement in a dungeon. But I walked in, I had like fishnets on, leopard dress, fur coat, like, trying to be really Jersey. And I did like four shots in the car. Cause my friend drove me and I was like, let's do this. So I did my first interview drunk.
Michael Bostic
So did you know you had a strat, Like a strategy to get on? Cause you say you dress up. Like, it's like, extra, extra, extra. You're having your shots.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Well, yeah, I wanted to stand out. I wanted to stand out and be like the most. So I did like the most with my outfit. The most with, like, my makeup, my hair. I did four shots. So, like, I'd be more loud and fun.
Lauryn Evarts
Like, four shots in a short. Like just like in the car in a short period of time.
Michael Bostic
Yeah.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I put Southern Comfort in a water bottle and I just went, whoa. You know, back in the day, we used to drink. We just put alcohol in the water bottle.
Lauryn Evarts
Southern Comfort is a heavy.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I don't know how I drank that. I drank that all season one. It was Southern Comfort and Long Islands. That was my drink.
Michael Bostic
I drank that too. You drink it. I think you used to drink it with like.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I smell it. Now I can't even do brown liquor. I'll die.
Michael Bostic
Southern Comfort is so gnarly trash. And then I'd be like, what's the one with the higher percentage? Give me that one.
Lauryn Evarts
No, there was that moment where it was like. It was like Captain Morgan Rum, Southern Comfort.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
It was all. We used to drink the brown liquor.
Lauryn Evarts
Yeah.
Michael Bostic
Yeah. That is really, like, why did we do that?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I can't do that anymore. The last time I took a shot of brown liquor, I was throwing up all the next day.
Michael Bostic
It's like, also, I used to drink, like, hypnotic and like, Smirnoff Apple.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Do you ever have a gold Sagar with the gold flakes in it?
Lauryn Evarts
Oh, my God.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Or Loco?
Michael Bostic
No. What's the one that has like a ton.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Everclear? Woo. Oh, yeah. That was horrible.
Lauryn Evarts
I had a buddy, his big thing was peppermint schnapps. And you would drink with him all the time. And then like, he would go. And then you're like, oh, well, let's switch to this drink. And he somehow, like, had built an immunity to it or something.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Oh, my God.
Lauryn Evarts
I was throwing up for days with that stuff. That's like similar to Goldschlager. Like that stuff?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah.
Lauryn Evarts
Ugh.
Michael Bostic
So when do you find out that you get the show? Where are you? What's the vibe? Like, were you freaking out?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
So I think they called me, and they were like, we have to come to your house to film and then just pack. Like, you're going to go film for a month, and we're going to come pick you up, but we're going to be filming it. So I'm like, oh, like, am I on the show? And they were like, we don't know yet. So I guess they. They did what they did to me to, like, 20 other people, and they were only picking eight. So they basically came to my house, and I did the whole, like, bye, mom. I'm going down the shore. Packing, Drove down the shore, and then they put us in hotel rooms with no cell phone. We were just stuck in the room by ourselves, locked doors. Like, we couldn't leave for, I think, two days.
Michael Bostic
What'd you do?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I mean, I brought wine, so I was drinking wine in my room.
Michael Bostic
Could you read a book?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Oh, yeah. You could watch tv.
Michael Bostic
You could watch tv, but you were.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Like, stuck in the room, and you didn't know if you were gonna go until, you know, the producers came, and they were like, all right, pack your bags or you're headed to the house.
Michael Bostic
That sounds like a vacation. Now, being locked in a room with a little bit of wine and some tv, I would love that. I know.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Sounds fun. In a robe and bed.
Michael Bostic
Barefoot dreams wrapped around. Yeah.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
And then you order room service.
Michael Bostic
So when they come into the room after two days, do they tell you, like, you're picked and you're going straight to the Jersey shore house?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Oh, they were just like, get ready. Like, you're gonna. You're up next to head to the house.
Michael Bostic
And what's your impression of everyone when you get there?
Lauryn Evarts
Did you know anyone ahead of time?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
No. So I knew Dina. Me and Dina were, like, MySpace friends, and we had, like, similar friends in Jersey, so I knew of Dina, and she was actually supposed to be on season one, but then her grandmother died, and she backed out. So I don't know who replaced Dina, but Dena was supposed to be there, and there was another kid that was supposed to be on it, but he didn't make the cut. He lived near me. So when I walked in, I thought I was seeing my friend and. And Dina, and I didn't see them. And I'm like, what is this? Cause I already felt cozy knowing they were gonna be there.
Michael Bostic
Yeah.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
So then I see everyone and they're total strangers. And I walk in, and I was just ready to party. Cause I. Every summer, I would go there, and I would, like, stay at friends houses. And all we would do is drink, like, all day and all night. Like, that's what you do in Jersey Shore, like, in the summertime. So I walk in and nobody wants to take shots. No one wants to drink. I see Vinny. I was like, that's not a guido. Like, what is that?
Lauryn Evarts
Like, how do you define a guido?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
The guido. The Guido. Back in the day, it was more of a lifestyle. So everyone's saying, oh, you know, you're making fun of Italians. It was just a lifestyle. Like. Like your emo, your punk.
Michael Bostic
Got it.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
You're Guido guida. So it's, like, just how you present yourself. So, like, tan, obviously.
Michael Bostic
Okay.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Tan, spiky hair, muscles. And Vinnie was just none of that. So I'm like, what was he doing here? He doesn't fit in. And then nobody wanted to take shots, so I'm just like, what is this?
Michael Bostic
So then what sort of breaks the ice if no one wants to take shots and have fun? What's the icebreaker?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I just did it myself.
Michael Bostic
Okay. And then what is everyone else doing sitting there?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I mean, you saw the first episode, right? I got wasted, and everyone was just watching me. I embarrassed myself.
Michael Bostic
Yeah, but then everyone, like, fell in love with you. Like, I feel like after I got.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Punched in the face.
Michael Bostic
Yeah, people all fell in love with you.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
That's where I almost died.
Michael Bostic
There was something, like, really endearing to me, watching the show about you right away.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. I think I just. I wanted to have a good time. I was young. I just turned 21.
Michael Bostic
Yeah.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
And I just. My boyfriend just broke up with me at the time, so I was, like, miserable. And I just wanted to go out and have a good time. But my goal was to, like, go down the shore, and I wanted to, like, get married young. I wanted to have kids young. So my plan was to find my husband that summer. And it didn't happen. It happened, like, two summers after or a summer after.
Michael Bostic
So what? I mean, anyone who's watched knows what happened. But what did happen? You didn't find your husband. What did you do? You guys just partied?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, we just partied. Everyone was hooking up with each other. It was. It was incest, when we look back at it, because I. I see my roomies as, like, my brothers and sisters now. So when we watch old clips of us, like, kissing or, like, doing. Ugh, it's Disgusting.
Michael Bostic
Who did you think at the time was the hottest in the house?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I thought Ron was the cutest for sure. I was like, ron, you're cute.
Michael Bostic
Ron was the cutest.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Uh huh.
Michael Bostic
Ron was the cutest. Mike thought he was the cutest.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. And Paulie was like the definition of a guido.
Michael Bostic
Okay.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Ron was like the gorilla juice heads, which we called them. And then Mike was like in between a guido and juice head, but like a skinny juice head. And then Vinny, I don't know where he fell.
Michael Bostic
And what's. What's a guidat? Is that how you say it?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, a guidat.
Michael Bostic
Like describe it to someone who doesn't know what that is.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, it's just like the female version of a guido. You like to tan. You like house music, big hair, a lot of makeup, long nails.
Michael Bostic
Is it. Does it still exist now or was it just a moment in time?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Well, I still like big hair. I still love my big hair. And I do miss the poof. I'm thinking about bringing it back, but I don't know.
Lauryn Evarts
This is a plus. Journalism, getting into the guidance.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I still love animal print and leopard print. Like, that's still my jam. I still love house music. That's all I listen to. So I still love all the things. I just, I feel like I. I feel like my style is more like mommy now.
Michael Bostic
Yeah.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
But like, when I do go out, I like to wear leopard and stuff.
Michael Bostic
So what is it like having cameras in your face all the time at that point?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I feel like since I wanted it so bad and I knew that I wanted to be a reality star, like, I just expected it and I got used to it right away. Yeah. But it was a lot for the first week. It was weird because back in the day, like, they don't break the fourth wall, which means, like, you can't look at the camera, you can't talk to the producers. It's just like you in a bubble and you can't speak to anyone else outside of that bubble. And now we're all best friends and like we talk every single day. How we shoot is way different now. But back in the day, I would like ask a producer a question. She would just be like this to me, like, not talk to me.
Lauryn Evarts
Because they could not interact with you?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
No, they couldn't interact with the cast. So I'm like, what the hell is this?
Michael Bostic
And now your friends, would they just.
Lauryn Evarts
Be standing like, yeah.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
And I'm like, hello. Like, can I go to the bathroom? Like, I need help. And she would Just stare at me. And I'm like, no, you can't talk to the producers. I'm like, okay. It was kind of like, fend for yourself in front of the camera type deal.
Michael Bostic
Did you. When you look back, did you guys blow up overnight or was it like a slow build?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I think the promos for the show really started to, like, build the anticipation of the show because they were like, what?
Lauryn Evarts
It was crazy.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. They were like, who the hell are these people? Why are they orange? Why are they dressed like that? Why do they talk like that? It was just like we were a different breed of species that nobody knew about unless you were from the East Coast. So the whole world was like, who are these creatures? And then I think once I got punched in the face, that's when, like, everyone started tuning into the show.
Michael Bostic
I mean, the show. Because we were from California at the time. We're in San Diego. You're right. We. I had never been to the Jersey Shore, so. You are right. It was like, almost like a different culture.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. They were like, what. What is this?
Lauryn Evarts
Remind me why you got punched in the face. It's been a while.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Well, this guy at the bar, he was wasted, and we kept ordering shots and he kept stealing the shots. So the first time, I'm like, ugh, whatever. Second time, I'm like, all right, those were our shots. Third time, I ordered another round of shots. He took them again. I'm like, bro, these aren't your shots. Like, stop. And then he was starting to get nasty with me, and I called him ugly. And then he punched me.
Lauryn Evarts
Oh, man, I forgot it was a guy that did that.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Well, he got arrested. I don't know what happened with that, but he lost his job. He was a gym teacher, so he couldn't get a job after that. And then his dad did an article recently. Not recently. Probably like five years ago, saying that I'm the reason why his son had to enroll in the army because he couldn't get a job, so he had to join the army.
Michael Bostic
Well, that's a lesson that you shouldn't punch people, even if you're on or off tv.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I was like, it's not my fault. It's your son's fault.
Michael Bostic
But remember when that guy stuck his finger down my pants at the bar?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Ew.
Michael Bostic
Yeah. I was, like, bending over the bar seersucker, and this guy came up behind me. And my Michael, who was my boyfriend at the time, saw him, like. He, like, stuck his finger in my pants.
Lauryn Evarts
Creeps out there. He just. I Just walked in. I got a. No hello, no anything.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Just. That's sick.
Michael Bostic
Yeah, it's like, you don't act like that and you won't.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
What did you do?
Lauryn Evarts
I went nuts. And then he ran. And then.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Oh my God, that's sick.
Lauryn Evarts
And then. What a crazy again.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
What a craze.
Michael Bostic
Okay, so when you guys start to gain momentum and blow up overnight, what, what is that like? Because you can't like call your friends from high school. They're not going to understand. What was that like for you?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Well, yeah, it was crazy. So after, after a couple episodes aired, they were like, all right, we have to do press now. Mtv. So we're like, okay, cool. They were like, we're gonna fly. We were supposed to do it like locally, I think in the city. And then everything changed to la and we were like, oh my God, like, I've never been to California before. I hardly flew. Like, I went to Florida a couple times on vacation as a kid. But like, I wasn't like used to flying or doing anything. So we, we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. So flying to California. And then we did all the shows. Like we did E News, tmz. And then we were supposed to be there for only like two nights. We ended up staying for a week because then Jimmy, Jimmy Kimmel wanted us. Or Jimmy Fallon, one of those. What's his name? Oh my God, he retired.
Michael Bostic
David Letterman.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Well, yeah, he's in the city, right? Jay Leno. Jay Leno. Like we were doing all these crazy shows and they were like, hey guys. We were just like, what are we doing? So we ended up staying there for a week and obviously we went out to party because we were there and we wanted to go out and party. So we were like partying with Leonardo DiCaprio, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton. It was crazy.
Michael Bostic
And were they coming up to you and being like, we love your show?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, they were like, gtl, bro.
Lauryn Evarts

I have this hack that I do with my kids and it's called Cookie Granola and I tell them that we are going to have cookie granola. It is such a treat. They get so excited. And the cookie granola that I tell them about is by Purely Elizabeth. They have this one that is chocolate sea salt. It is so good. My kids love it. They also have an actual cookie granola too. And what I like about this specific granola is it's organic oats, it's nutritious ancient grains and it's superfood seeds. So while my kids think they're having cookies, they're actually having these delicious crunchy clusters that are gluten free, vegan, non GMO and they're baked with coconut oil and coconut sugar and unrefined sugar. It's a great hack my kids are obsessed with. They like steal the bag out of my hand. Everything by Purely Elizabeth is certified USDA organic and it's full of ancient grains and superfood seeds. Everything contains no artificial flavors. I personally am a big fan of their original ancient grain granola. I sprinkle it over my Greek yogurt and drizzle some raw honey on top. It's amazing. Especially after the gym. It's so good. So if you want to check out their cookie granola, visit purelyelizabeth.com and use code skinny at checkout for 20% off. Purely Elizabeth taste the obsession. One thing I take very, very seriously for my children is their diapers, because you're using so many diapers every single day. And I also take the wipes seriously. I want wipes that are clean. And I was introduced to Coterie and fell absolutely in love. All my children have used their diapers and their wipes. They still use their wipes. We have these wipes in my bags. We have them in my car. We have them in the drawers. We have them everywhere in the kitchen. All the things. They love them. And what I like this brand is they really have thought of everything. Baby skin is so delicate, especially their microbiome and their skin barrier. And so it's really important on having a minimalistic diaper wipe. Coterie developed everything with this gentle sort of like less is more philosophy when they were creating their product. You should also know that Coterie has launched First Wash. It's a tear free hair and body wash and it leaves everything super silky. They also have like a soft cream which moisturizes both the face and body, and a bun balm. It's gorgeous, really buttery balm that I love, not only for diaper changing, but you could also use it for dry patches. I like that the brand takes out a lot of the guesswork. Okay, so it's hyperallergenic, it's dermatologist tested. It's made without fragrance, which is so important. And there's no parabens. It's cruelty free, it's vegan, it's microbiome friendly, and Most importantly, it's PH Balanced. Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yes.
Michael Bostic
Lindsay Lohan saying GT and she had.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Her ankle bracelet on at the time.
Lauryn Evarts
Was it again Jim Tan Laundry, Right?
Michael Bostic
Yeah, she had her ankle bracelet on.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. I was like, how are you at the club? You have your ankle bracelet on.
Lauryn Evarts
Chim Tan Laundry.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
It was a very. It was a very iconic moment in time.
Lauryn Evarts
Nobody. That's what I'm saying. Like everybody knew about it at that time and it was in that weird. Like that doesn't happen with shows anymore.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
No, I know.
Lauryn Evarts
It's just like.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I know.
Lauryn Evarts
And I imagine it's strange because you guys film all that and then you don't do anything for a while and then it starts to air and you like almost have to like, you forgot like, you.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Like, we all. We all went back to our normal lives. Like, a lot of people had careers. Ron was in real estate. Jenny was, like, running this nightclub and clubs and Long Island. She was going to school to be a graphic designer. I was going to school to be a vet tech. Like, we all went back to our lives because we were like, that was fun. You know, we did it, but back to our lives. And then once it aired, everything changed. Like, I couldn't finish my school. Everyone got fired from their jobs because we were just traveling so much. Like, we were worried about our income because we. We didn't have, like, a plan. You know what I mean? It was very spontaneous because, like, they.
Lauryn Evarts
Didn'T pay a lot in those early. The first seasons. Right?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
The first season, they didn't pay us. We only got paid from Danny from our. The T shirt shop. He gave us $200 a week.
Michael Bostic
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. They didn't pay you for the show the first season?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
No.
Michael Bostic
So at what point do you guys all band together and know you have leverage, that you guys have a huge show that you should be getting paid for?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Oh, after they said season two, we're going to Miami, we knew we had to get paid.
Michael Bostic
So did you guys all meet together and say, like, we're.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, we band together. We. We all ended up getting, like, managers, agents, and did the whole thing.
Michael Bostic
Some casts don't do that.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Oh, I know.
Michael Bostic
They. Right.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
They fend for themselves, but we all band together.
Michael Bostic
I personally think that's smarter. Right. Because then you all, like. You all know your words.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yes. You either lose one and you replace one, or you lose the entire cast. And supposedly they said that Jersey Shore was supposed to be a cycling cast, so every season it's different people.
Michael Bostic
That wouldn't have worked.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
That's why they didn't do it.
Michael Bostic
No, no, no.
Lauryn Evarts
Yeah.
Michael Bostic
So. So when you guys all get managers and agents and you do the second season, is your life. Your life's completely different. No one's working at their own job. What is that like, in the house? What's the energy? Is it different?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, I feel like we. We knew what we were doing now. Like, it wasn't just fun and, like, oh, we're doing the show real quick. Like, what a fun experience. We knew this was gonna be our jobs now.
Michael Bostic
And is there, like, sort of like, a villain in the house at this point, or is everyone getting along?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Season two?
Michael Bostic
Yeah.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I feel like people were headbutting with Mike a little bit and Angelina and.
Michael Bostic
Are you guys. Is it actually real or is it put on for television?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
No, everything was real, unfortunately. Yeah. I wish I could say it wasn't. It's all a lot of embarrassing things that I wish.
Lauryn Evarts
How did you manage those quote unquote, embarrassing things in your personal life? When people said everything gets filmed, it comes out. Your family, friends, you know, you like, what?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah.
Lauryn Evarts
What are the conversations that take place then after, when they see all the footage?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Well, my. My friends knew exactly what I was going to do on the show because they babysat me all the time. So they were like, oh, I'm surprised you did that on tv. I'm like, I know, but, like, my mom and my dad, they were like, is this how you act like, I'm so sorry, but I was 21. Like, you can't tell me.
Michael Bostic
What are you talking about? Give us some embarrassing things that you feel like when you reflect back, you think are embarrassing.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Just, like, the hooking up aspect of it, because my parents saw that. And then now, like, if my kids decide to one day watch it, they're gonna see their mom, like, not kissing their dad. You know what I mean? Just like, it's like embarrassing things now.
Michael Bostic
I feel like it's such a moment. It's so nostalgic. It's iconic. I think they're gonna get it.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, well, my kids think I'm an actress right now, so that's what they.
Michael Bostic
Think you do for a living.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yes.
Lauryn Evarts
You should explain it that way. If they see it, be like, this is just acting.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
No. Yeah, yeah. Until they're like, 18, then maybe I'll, like, tell them the truth.
Michael Bostic
And so as you guys keep doing seasons, are you. Are you all, like, going to the producers and saying, we know our worth, like, pay us more. Like, you're lucky to have us basically. Like, do you know your worth at this point?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, yeah. We weren't cocky about it, though. We were just like, please, like, it would be nice. And we always got what we wanted. And the network was happy. We were happy.
Michael Bostic
At what point do you start going out in wherever you guys are as a group and all these people come up to you? Like, when does it get, like, so crazy?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, it was right after season one aired. We couldn't go. So after season one, the show blew up. We went to la. We did all the things, like, everyone knows about us now. So when we were filming season two in Miami and we would just, like, walk down Main street and, like, go. Go to dinners or, you know, go to the club. The first season when we did that no one knew who we were. So we were just, like, walking and it was whatever. Now we had paparazzi, like, 50 paparazzi's following us, people screaming, fans. So from season one to season two was day and night.
Michael Bostic
Did you like that?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. We thought we were so cool. We were like, hey, and, like, posing for paparazzi, and producers were yelling at us like, you're supposed to be just normal people, like, not celebrities. So we loved it.
Michael Bostic
I mean, it sounds fun.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, we. We were so cool.
Michael Bostic
At what point do you realize that you wanted to use. Not use the platform, but leverage the platform to start your own business and do your own thing? Like, when did you start to have the business mind?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I don't know. I feel like the whole season one to season six, it was just like, party mode.
Michael Bostic
Yeah.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Like, this is great. Let's take what we can get because it's going to be over soon. So I feel like. I feel like after I had Lorenzo, which was. That's when they ended the series, which was season six.
Michael Bostic
Was it because you had a baby?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. And I think they wanted to take a break. Like, they didn't want to over saturate the show too much, so they did the break. And then once I had Lorenzo, me and Jenny did our spin off Snooki and jwoww, which did very well also. I like that show, and that was just me from party girl to mom and, like, doing the whole transition. So I didn't really become business savvy and, like, build a career until after I had Lorenzo because I was like, all right, I need to make money for this baby and I need to be responsible, and it's not about partying anymore.
Michael Bostic
So what was your first thing that you launched to your fans?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I feel like I had the slippers. The slippers was, like, the first thing that I really did. My Snooki slippers that I always, like, shuffled around in the house with. That's content marketing to pig slippers. I love them. But then I had. I opened my online store. The Snooki shop.
Michael Bostic
Yeah.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
So that opened, I think, right before Lorenzo was born. So, yeah, I was just doing, like, little things that I always wanted to do.
Michael Bostic
Did your husband want you to continue to do the show, or did he want you to get off reality television when you guys got married?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
No, he still wanted me to, like, do my career and do all the things, but he didn't want to be involved as much.
Michael Bostic
He didn't want to be involved.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
He didn't love it. Yeah.
Michael Bostic
So Then what makes you decide to come back to reality television years later?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Like the reboot.
Michael Bostic
Yeah.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Jersey Shore family vacation.
Michael Bostic
Yeah.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I don't know. I feel like when it came back, everything was coming back. So, like, Friends was coming back. They were casting new cast for, like, back in the day shows. So everything. It was just, like, a very nostalgic time for things to come back. And we were just like. We did a group chat. We were like, if we were to come back, would you all be down? And everyone was like, yeah. So then we pitched it to mtv, and then they. They bought us again.
Michael Bostic
And every single person came back?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. Except Sam.
Michael Bostic
Why didn't she come back?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
She didn't want to. She wanted a break. And I feel like her and Ron were not good, so she didn't want to be around him. And I don't know. I just feel like she didn't want to be. She didn't want to be involved.
Michael Bostic
When you guys get the cast back together, did you guys have that same essence and magic that you had years before?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. And everybody was like, same scared. Because obviously we were older. I had two kids at the time, so they were like, oh, how's she gonna be? And I was even ragier because I was a mom. Right. Toddlers.
Michael Bostic
I got it.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
So I walked.
Lauryn Evarts
You came to party hard.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I can't party. I think I peed in the pool. It was a nightmare. And then I'm like, oh, my God. I shouldn't be acting like this. As a mom, I was a little more tamer, but I was still like a meatball.
Lauryn Evarts
No, but I imagine, like, that's so, like. It's like a. It's like a. It's like a switch in the brain where it's like, it's party time again.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Well, yeah.
Lauryn Evarts
Get in that environment with all those people.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. So it's like back in the day, like, we're 21 again and living in the house. Like, let's rage. And we all did. But then I'm just like, wait, I have two kids at home. I'm married. It's like I kind of, like, need to class it up a little bit, but still have fun.
Michael Bostic
Do you watch yourself back on television when you're on it?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Like, back in the day stuff or stuff now.
Michael Bostic
Do you watch would. Like, if you're on a reality show, do you go home and watch the show?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
No.
Michael Bostic
Never?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Not really. I feel like once it's done, it's done. Because then, like, my voice will annoy me, my hair bothers me, or Like, I. I'm like, oh, I should have put makeup on, but I didn't. Just, like, things bother me.
Michael Bostic
That's how I would be. I would be. I detached from it.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. But Mike. Mike is totally. Mike loves watching himself. He's just like, oh, love me. I'm just like, ugh, I can't watch it. Like, my voice bothers me now.
Michael Bostic
He. Mike was a breakout star too. Like you, I feel like, of the cast, like, he stood out.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah.
Michael Bostic
And he's been sober now. So what is it like for him? Going sober back into that.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. So I feel like it. That was a test for him because I don't remember how many years sober he was when we started the show in Miami. Back. Back years ago. But now I think he's coming up on 10 years sober.
Lauryn Evarts
Good for him.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, he's doing great. Sobriety wise, business wise. Like, he. He's killing it.
Michael Bostic
And he has kids, and he's got three kids. The wife. Is everyone married now on the cast?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
No. So Paulie and Nikki aren't married. Vinny's still single.
Michael Bostic
Okay.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Ronnie is dating. And Angelina isn't married.
Michael Bostic
Still single. Did you hear that, girls? Vinny's single.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Good luck with that.
Michael Bostic
Why? Good luck with that?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
He's a lot.
Michael Bostic
Why? It's just like, single.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I have a friend, he's like her little brother. Even though he's like a couple weeks older than me. But he's just. He's Vinnie. I can't explain it.
Michael Bostic
What's the trick to, like, getting him to commit?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I don't know. I think he's concentrating on his career right now. So he's doing, like, stand up and doing all the things. He lives in the city. He has a great place. Like, he's bachelor. Life is, like, really good on him right now. But obviously, eventually he definitely wants to, you know, find a wife and have kids. But I don't think it's gonna happen yet.
Michael Bostic
I have a friend like that. I'm totally. There's Taylor.
Lauryn Evarts
I had one of my friends the other day. He's like, almost 40 years old. He looked at me, he's like, you.
Michael Bostic
Know, that was Taylor.
Lauryn Evarts
It was. Yeah. I think it might be time for me to settle down. I'm like, yeah, man, no shit.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. That's Vinny. He'll be 38 this year. He turns 38 right before me.
Lauryn Evarts
So what's weird, because when. When you. We have three kids too. And so, like, this. This gap starts to happen with, like, the. The friends that have kids and the friends that don't, because we're, like, living in two different worlds.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I was just like, yeah, like, our kids are gonna be in college when Vin decides to have a child.
Lauryn Evarts
Like, I was explaining, how are they.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Going to be friends?
Lauryn Evarts
And, like, my. My buddy that doesn't have kids. I was like, you know how you just, like, wake up in the morning and, like, walk out your front door and do whatever you want? Like, it takes me, like, 45 minutes just to get out of the front door.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. Like, another 30 minutes to get them actually in the car. Yeah, like, just get in the car.
Michael Bostic
And a lot of bribery. Someone told me the other day, I'm sweating by the kids, and they said, you shouldn't do that. You shouldn't bribe with food. I'm like, oh, you can't do anything nowadays.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Oh, I bribe with everything. I'm like, I don't care.
Michael Bostic
Yeah, it's.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I don't go by any rules.
Michael Bostic
If your kids came to you when they were in college and said, I want to do a reality show, just, like, what would you say?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Please? No.
Michael Bostic
Would you really?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I really want them to do something different. Just because I know the industry, and it's not great all the time.
Michael Bostic
Why?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I don't know. Just a lot of shady stuff and just everyone knows you, and everyone has an opinion. I don't want people, like, attacking them. Like, they don't. They don't like filming right now. Like, my little one loves the camera. Like, touch it and be funny with it. But he's only six. He doesn't really get it. My son hates it. He's 13. He's like, I don't want to be on TV. Like, don't push me. So that's why my kids aren't on tv on the show a lot, because they just don't want to be, and I have to respect that for them.
Lauryn Evarts
How do you handle some of that? I don't want to say criticism, but some of the commentary from people that watch you or follow you, that's not nice commentary.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Oh, we. So thank God we all have tough skin. Like, so many people have said horrible things about us, and we're like, you're just jealous. So I don't give a shit, like, what people say about me. But, like, if you're talking about my kids, like, my husband or my friends, like, I. I get mama bear, and I get annoyed.
Michael Bostic
So will you fight back in the comments?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. I kill people with kindness. And then they feel so dumb that they're like, oh, you're actually a chill person. I'm like, I know if you actually met me, I'm. I'm a normal, like, fun person.
Michael Bostic
You're adorable.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
People judge me a lot.
Michael Bostic
I feel like with you though, it's like what you see is what you get. Like, you're real on television. And I think that's why it translated the show. It seems to me that, like, you guys really were showing up who you are and that's why everyone liked it so much.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. But I feel like the people that weren't fans of the show, they just see us as like, alcoholics or just people that like to party. And we're like, so much more than that.
Michael Bostic
Well, yeah, you guys also are pretty damn savvy to know how to make good reality. I mean, that's also why they're watching. Right?
Lauryn Evarts
That's why. That's why the show was so successful. It's like people want to see that. Like, if you guys were just sitting around only doing laundry and tanning, that would be pretty.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Well. Yeah.
Michael Bostic
Do you still tan?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I tan outside.
Michael Bostic
Okay.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I don't know when's the last time I went to a tanning bed.
Michael Bostic
No tanning bed anymore.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I mean, I would here and there.
Michael Bostic
What's. What are your beauty secrets?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I don't really have any.
Michael Bostic
Well, like your lashes, like, what's happening?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Fake lashes.
Michael Bostic
You don't have any beauty secrets with your hair?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
My hair? No. So I'm so. I'm Chilean, so my hair is so thick, like my daughter. So Gianni's full blown Italian and I'm Chilean, so. With his hair so thick and my hair so thick. My kid's hair is insane, like, so thick. So I have very thick hair. No extensions. I just got it done yesterday.
Michael Bostic
How do you get the perfect Snooki poof? Walk us through it.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Well, it's easier if you have thick hair, obviously.
Michael Bostic
Okay.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
If you don't have thick hair and it's very thin, you gotta tease the shit out of it.
Michael Bostic
Okay.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
But I literally can just pick it up and just push it up with a clip and be done in two seconds.
Michael Bostic
Is it. There's no hairspray?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Well, yeah, I'll do the hairspray to, like, hold, but I don't need the.
Michael Bostic
Hairspray because your hair is so thick. So it's pretty easy. It's not like a whole intricate thing.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Oh, it takes two seconds. That's why when my poof was like a thing back in the day and they were selling the bump it and all these things, I'M like, you're lying. I was like, that's not what I do.
Michael Bostic
Oh, they were using your likeness to.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Sell the bump it. And then I was like, where's my check with that?
Michael Bostic
You should have said it was a bump it and then invented some kind of bump it.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I know I should have really thought about it, but I wasn't thinking back then. I was just drinking.
Michael Bostic
What does your life look like now as an entrepreneur? Like, what is your day to day? What are you working on?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Well, I'm always busy with my stores. I have four stores. I'm always like doing physical stores. Yeah, yeah.
Lauryn Evarts
It's a lot of work.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Well, I had my online for a while and then once we had a break with like not filming, I was like, this is the perfect time to open a brick and mortar real quick. So I just did it. And then I have four more stores. So, yeah, that's like a full time job running all the four stores and like the employees and like the inventory and all that. It's a lot. And then I have my own wine. So I'm working on, like coming out with new wines. I have my two podcasts that I'm doing. I feel like I'm doing more. What else am I doing?
Michael Bostic
You're being a mom.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I'm doing more things. We're filming. We're still filming your next season? Yeah, next season starts in January and we already filmed like half. Half of it. Well, the trailer just released, so you see a lot of shit go down, but you see Sam telling us she's pregnant and then Sam having the baby, which he just had. And then her wedding's in December, so we start filming next week to like, start getting everything ready for that.
Lauryn Evarts
And you're gonna film the wedding.
Michael Bostic
What do you have to do to prepare to film a reality show? I know before I come on the podcast, if I'm doing like a week of shows, I have to like, energetically prepare because it takes a lot of your energy and your capacity. Is there stuff that you do to get in the. In the reality show mode?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I don't think personally, I think. I think just getting the house prepared because I'm not going to be home.
Michael Bostic
So you have to organize.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Prepping the meals, doing all the laundry, laying out the clothes for the kids for school, just so Gianni knows everything.
Michael Bostic
How long is the filming schedule?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Well, usually we go on trips, so it could be like three days that I'm away. And I only do three days because I tell production I can't be away. From my kids for more than three days. So you got me for three days, so. But this one, we're not going away. We're just doing local stuff. But it's Monday to Friday, and it's all day, so I'm not gonna be home.
Michael Bostic
Do you go into it with a strategy or a plan, or is it.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Just like, let's just see what happens, you know? Now it's. We've known each other for, like, 18 years now, I feel. So we just go in and we just enjoy. Enjoy each other's company, and whatever happens, happens.
Michael Bostic
And do you guys still fight like brother and sister?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yes, all the time.
Michael Bostic
Who do you fight with the most?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Well, I don't personally fight with anyone, but, I mean, we get annoyed with each other.
Michael Bostic
Who's the most annoying?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Vinny.
Michael Bostic
Vinny's annoying.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
He just says, like, his getting nailed on this episode. No, he knows it too. He knows it and he loves it. He loves being the villain. He just says, like, annoying things to everyone. And obviously, sometimes, like, the girls will bicker a little bit because we're girls, but we get over it.
Michael Bostic
Is your best friend really, in real life, J. Wow.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yes.
Michael Bostic
That's your real best friend. And are you guys.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I do have, like, five best friends.
Michael Bostic
But she's one of them.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
But she's one of them, huh?
Michael Bostic
And do you guys fight on the show, too?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
No. Well, we get annoyed with each other like sisters, but we don't fight.
Michael Bostic
So if Michael and I were going to go to the Jersey shore, walk us through what we should do, like, the whole itinerary.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Well, you definitely need a weekend. So you would stay at my shore house in Seaside. Okay. Because I have a Snooki shore house that I still have yet to rent out yet.
Michael Bostic
Wait, wait, wait.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Hopefully next summer.
Michael Bostic
A house that you designed that's, like, your brand.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah.
Lauryn Evarts
Why is it not rented out? You just have. You have not wanted to rent it out yet?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I haven't wanted to yet because I feel like it's not how I want it to be. And also, like, I have friends and family staying there all the time. So it's just, like, I bought it two years ago, and it's, like, all done with, like, Snooki and leopard and. And I just. I just had my. My nieces and nephews and family stay there. So definitely next year, because Gianni's yelling at me to do it because he's in real estate. So I think next year we'll put the Snooki house on Airbnb or something for Seaside Heights. You can stay at my house. Okay. And then obviously, you go see the Shore store. Go see Danny. Okay. And then he'll give you the tour of the whole house. Which smells like throw up in condoms. It's so gross. It still smells to this day. I don't know how we lived in that house.
Lauryn Evarts
You know what? When you describe that, I can. I can.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Like a dirty frat house. Oh, Michael.
Lauryn Evarts
I can like. I know exactly what you're saying right now.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. Yeah. It's like a party house.
Lauryn Evarts
It's like a party house. Yeah.
Michael Bostic
I have so much to say to what you just said. When he first started dating me, he took me to his frat room.
Lauryn Evarts
Like, no, I lived in a fraternity house.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, he did smell like socks.
Michael Bostic
He. It.
Lauryn Evarts
No, no, don't tell this story.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Actually.
Michael Bostic
No, no, no. I'm going to. He took me to his frat room, and he tried to hook up with me in the frat room.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Okay.
Michael Bostic
There's, like, condoms. Like, it's sick on the floor. No, I'm like. And I'm like, ew, no, I'm not hooking up with you in here. Like, Courtney.
Lauryn Evarts
No, no, listen. This is a long time ago, but there was. I lost one. Stuck between the wall and the bed.
Michael Bostic
Yeah. And you're trying to hook up with me.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
And I'm like, I don't think so.
Lauryn Evarts
But it wasn't. But it wasn't one. It wasn't one with her.
Michael Bostic
I think I was the first girl to say no to you in that room. I was like, no, thank you.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
That's when he knew he fell in.
Michael Bostic
Love with me after I said, you were like, I love you every second after I said no to that room, by the way, we never hooked up in that room.
Lauryn Evarts
There's like, ew, whatever. Whatever. I had to say.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, there you go.
Michael Bostic
It wasn't in that room, though. We did.
Lauryn Evarts
I was 20 years old. All right. This is like this.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
You know, you would have fit in with the boys great.
Lauryn Evarts
I would have spiked my hair right up.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
That's all they did was doing that.
Lauryn Evarts
Laundry and smashing those gym plates.
Michael Bostic
Okay, so. So we stay at your house. We go to the shore house. That smells like throw up in condom. Then what?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
And then, obviously, you want to go on the boardwalk. It's a little different now because Sandy hit.
Michael Bostic
Okay.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
But there's still EJ's. So EJ's bar we always went to because they served, like, whenever.
Michael Bostic
And it's still open.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
It's still open. That's cool. So that's the first place I went before I got arrested on the beach. Okay. That's when I started my bender. I started at EJ's. And then you want to go to Spicy's. So Spicy's is like a Mexican restaurant so you can get all the foods and margaritas.
Michael Bostic
Okay.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
And then obviously Karma's not there anymore. They knocked it down.
Michael Bostic
That's sad.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I know there's no clubs anymore. There's bars, but there's no clubs.
Lauryn Evarts
Do they what? They pulled them off. They just.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, they just knocked. They knocked Karma and Bamboo down, the two clubs that we always used to go to. And they're going to put like high rise, like condos, I think.
Lauryn Evarts

Lauryn Evarts
But they have like all sorts of vendors on the walk and there's people and there's families. Like these get like all walks of life. I said I went there when I was a kid for like, you know, it's like. And I remember it was good for kids, but there was also like a lot of adults doing adult activities.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, it's very family vibes.
Michael Bostic
So do you go with your kids now?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I bring them like, off season, because obviously I can't go. Yeah.
Michael Bostic
What do you do when you're with your kids and people come up to you?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Oh, they hate it. My daughter's like, leave her alone. I'm like, you can't be nasty.
Michael Bostic
So what do you do? Do you just get the selfie and keep it?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
No. Yeah, I'm just like, I'm with my kids. Like, quick picture. And they're like, can your kids come in? And I'm like, no.
Lauryn Evarts
I think it's strange when people. I think, no, no, I don't like this topic. I'm, I'm. I'm.
Michael Bostic
Here you go.
Lauryn Evarts
I'm all for all that, but I think when people are with their kids shouldn't go. People with their kids, because you're right. I don't think any kid likes it. And it's confusing to them. And they're like, who's this stranger?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
It's strangers.
Lauryn Evarts
And it's, you know, like, why are they. You know, it's just. It's inappropriate. Yeah, I think it's inappropriate.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
But, like, I think the fans get so excited because they, they, they see me as a mom with my kids on tv, so they don't even think, like, oh, I might be scaring her kid. I'm just like a fan of all of you in general. You know what I mean? So you just thinking them as kids.
Michael Bostic
You'Re just like, no pictures of the kids?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. No. Well, sometimes. So my daughter Giovanna, she is. She's an athlete. She does competitive cheerleading, all star cheerleading. So they obviously, everyone knows that she's, you know, my daughter, a cheer. So all the little cheerleaders look up to her and they, like, go up to her and ask for pictures. So it's kind of like she's starting to feel like the fame of it all. But it's, but it's. For her, it's not. Has nothing to do with me. It's her being a cheerleader and her, like, killing it. And she's like, mom, I don't know if I like that. I was like, you can always say no, just be nice about it. So she's starting to be a little cheerlebrity and, like, experiencing stuff herself.
Michael Bostic
Well, she has the perfect person to talk to about it.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, I feel like you.
Michael Bostic
All the advice. We looked at your Instagram before you came on the show. You have 18 million followers. Like, that is.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Do I.
Michael Bostic
That's a lot of followers.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Oh, I mean, like, half of them are bots. I don't think so it's gotta be.
Michael Bostic
I don't think so. You like? Your show was such a moment.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah.
Michael Bostic
18 million people following you is insane.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I love that.
Michael Bostic
I mean, thanks a lot. I have to ask some, like, routine questions. A lot of people like routines. Do you have any morning or nighttime routines that you don't?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Just in general?
Michael Bostic
Yeah.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Morning, not so much because I. I hate the morning. I'm not a morning person. So I'm always cranky. I hate the morning. I'm miserable.
Michael Bostic
So what does your husband do? Let's talk about this. I want to dissect this. What does your husband do when he knows you're cranky in the morning?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Oh, he still tries to talk to me. He's like, what's wrong? I'm like, you know, I'm not a morning person. Stop asking.
Michael Bostic
They do it.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
He does it on purpose. And he's like, oh, you're cranky today.
Michael Bostic
No, they want the reaction because then they want to say, what's wrong with you?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. So annoying.
Lauryn Evarts
Why can't you just wake up with a smile?
Michael Bostic
I do wake up with a smile. I have a smile. But I need to now.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I don't feel like talking.
Michael Bostic
Yeah, I don't feel like talking.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Like, quiet unsaid.
Lauryn Evarts
Yeah, But I mean, what if I woke up like that?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I would love that.
Lauryn Evarts
No, no, I mean, if I just.
Michael Bostic
Told me if I woke up cranky.
Lauryn Evarts
And was just like, I'm cranky.
Michael Bostic
If you didn't want to talk in the morning, I would be just fine until 11. If you didn't say one word.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
And 11's a good time.
Michael Bostic
I swear to God. Try it for a week. You won't talk to me until 11.
Lauryn Evarts
I need to talk. I need to chat. I can't do it.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Oh, God.
Michael Bostic
I opened my eyes today. He goes, what are we gonna do today? I'm like. I go, I literally. I had mouth tape on. I'm like, give him 20 minutes.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I can't.
Lauryn Evarts
God forbid. I want to talk to my wife, you know?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
No, you gotta give us a good, like, 30 minutes.
Michael Bostic
Go call a friend. I need more than 30.
Lauryn Evarts
I found out. I've tried.
Michael Bostic
I need like four hours.
Lauryn Evarts
She revealed the other day when we were doing this show, and I've been. I've known her since we were 20 years old. Well, I've note we've been together since I was 20 years old. And we know. And I just found this out, that she wakes up in the morning and is pretending to sleep for 30 minutes, laying there, but she's awake.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Oh, yeah.
Lauryn Evarts
And I didn't know this. This whole time, instead of opening your.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Eyes to signal, you're just relaxing with your eyes closed.
Michael Bostic
Yeah.
Lauryn Evarts
But it's annoying because I'm tiptoeing around in the dark and stumbling around and smashing anything. Trying to, like, reflect in her sleep.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, I've done that. Like, if I feel like I don't want to get up and bring the kids to school, I'll do that. And then Gianni does all of it.
Michael Bostic
See?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
And then I wake up and I'm like, oh, what time is it? But I've been up the whole time, and I'm just, like, relaxing.
Lauryn Evarts
It's so annoying. Like, she'll do these things where she'll be like, I'll be up in the morning for the kids to take them to school. And it's like.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
And then you're not.
Lauryn Evarts
Yeah, she's out cold.
Michael Bostic
I think I have a theory that I think women's hormones in the morning are different than men's. Like, I cannot. You guys have some burst of testosterone in the morning. I am. That. My body's not made for that.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. I'm really.
Michael Bostic
I'll do the pickup. You do the drop off.
Lauryn Evarts
You miss the pickup, too. A lot of times.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Stop. It happens.
Michael Bostic
Get out. It's good for you.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah.
Lauryn Evarts
I check in, I'm like, did somebody get the kids at school today if I'm not there? She's like, yeah, she will.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, they're good.
Michael Bostic
So your morning routine is to have your husband not speak to you.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah. And, like, the kids, like, relax. Like, stop saying mom 25 times. Like, I'm gonna get everything done. We're out the door, and I just need to go to Starbucks and I need to get my. My. My Matcha drink, and then go to Target and walk around for, like, 30 minutes, and then I'll be fine.
Lauryn Evarts
See every day.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, Target. Or I go to Walmart, Trader Joe's. I just want to go to a store and just walk.
Michael Bostic
I get that. I totally get what you're saying. I used to do this with home goods. You just.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I'm good. Yes.
Michael Bostic
You walk around, you look at some.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Smell some candles, feel blanket. Yeah.
Michael Bostic
You just look at some stuff. He just knows.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
And then you feel so much better. Then you're like, all right, let's go.
Michael Bostic
Why is that?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Because we're girls and we like things.
Michael Bostic
Would you just walk around a store?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I love it.
Michael Bostic
Yeah. Yeah, I do. I like.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
And I like touching things.
Michael Bostic
Yeah. I'd park far away, walk into home goods.
Lauryn Evarts
Do you know what's so strange about this? This sounds like my worst morning I could ever have. Like, if I woke up and that was the morning for me.
Michael Bostic
What's your ideal morning? I actually would like to know your ideal morning.
Lauryn Evarts
Not stumbling around in the store half awake.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
No, that's what wakes us up.
Michael Bostic
The way she wakes up is atrocious. The alarm goes off. The water gets splashed on the face. There was a meme about it. The water is so loud, it sounds like someone's in the ocean.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Is he clearing his throat?
Michael Bostic
Like, we did it this morning.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Morning. Oh, my. Gianni knows that too. So I guess that.
Lauryn Evarts
No, I think what happens is, like, I swear to God, this didn't happen until I became a dad. The noises get. I saw an eyebrow hair the other day on me that was longer than the hair on my head. I couldn't. I could not believe what it came.
Michael Bostic
What is that? Throat clearing? That's never happened until we got married.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Oh, yeah. You go, yeah. Yes. Oh, my God.
Michael Bostic
I'm like.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
It's literally. Gianni got this teeth cleaner, but it spits out water. Oh, and now that noise. And then I'm like, oh, my God.
Lauryn Evarts
He'S gagging himself in the bathroom.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I hate it.
Michael Bostic
And then he comes out like, are.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
You all right in there?
Michael Bostic
Wanna hook up?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I'm like, get away from it.
Michael Bostic
No.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Like, I don't like you right now.
Michael Bostic
Sound that you all make. Yeah, it's really. We gotta. We gotta rebrand that.
Lauryn Evarts
Well, I feel like you gotta, like, get, like, the. Like, you gotta get the body awake or something.
Michael Bostic
So gross. And then he. And then he gets the newspaper out.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
And it's like, oh, God, he's such a dad.
Lauryn Evarts
Yeah. It's really, like. I don't know what's happening.
Michael Bostic
Sometimes I think it's like an actual prank. Like, how even how you open the door is, like, so annoying. The closet door, even. I can hear you. Really feel. I could hear you putting on your shorts. How do you hear someone putting it on?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
See, this is marriage.
Michael Bostic
It's a lot. It's intense.
Lauryn Evarts
Well, I think it's just kind of like, you want to, like, announce that.
Michael Bostic
We got it, we got it, we got it. We hear it. It's around. I wish you would wake up just subtly and quietly. The bed already is vibrating you awake and just go downstairs.
Lauryn Evarts
Maybe I'll wake up one morning and just head over to Target and stumble around for a while.
Michael Bostic
Great, Great.
Lauryn Evarts
See what's going on in there.
Michael Bostic
The trick I really do think that that's true what they say? Like, the trick to marriage is separate closets and separate bathrooms. Yeah, separate.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, that would be great.
Michael Bostic
Oh, get. Get away. It's like, ugh, the whole thing.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
And it's nice to have alone time.
Michael Bostic
That'S not talked about enough.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, I agree. It's nice to have alone time. Even, like, couples that I talk to, like my neighbor, they're obsessed with each other. They go on dates like twice a week. Like, they just love each other. They sex each other, like, all the things. And then when he goes away for work, she's like, oh, thank God. She's like, I can sleep in. I could do what I want. She's like, I'm so excited. Yeah, it's a thing. It's like, we love you so much, but it's so nice to be alone sometimes.
Lauryn Evarts
No, I think that's good for. For everybody. I need to be alone too. I need to get. I need to go recharge.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah.
Michael Bostic
Okay.
Lauryn Evarts
Let's not act like. Like you don't chatter in at the wrong moments too.
Michael Bostic
I don't know about that. Maybe around like, 12 o', clock I'll have something to say, but it's. It's not until 12.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
No.
Lauryn Evarts
Do you know what her thing is? Is? Like, she machine gun fires text messages at me. Like I said.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
You're gonna say farts?
Lauryn Evarts
No, no, no. Like rapid. Like every thought that comes into her head comes through on a text.
Michael Bostic
It's a stream.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
That's normal.
Michael Bostic
Yeah. See?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah.
Lauryn Evarts
I don't know if normal is the.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Word, but girls do that.
Michael Bostic
Yeah, girls do that.
Lauryn Evarts
It's like every stream of consciousness, guys.
Michael Bostic
Have dirty condoms and throw up stuck to their college rooms.
Lauryn Evarts
I don't use condoms anymore.
Michael Bostic
Okay. Do you like to be called Snooki or Nicole? I have to ask you that before you leave. Like, personally?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Yeah, it's whatever. I think personally, like, if we were friends, like, I would want you to call me Nicole.
Michael Bostic
Okay.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Like, my. My best friends from school. Like, I. My best friends are from, like, preschool. I'm going to see them Sunday. I can't wait. So they're still my besties. When they say Snooki, I want to throw up.
Michael Bostic
You don't like that?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I'm like, oh, God, just. It's such a turn off, huh?
Lauryn Evarts
What's the origin of that nickname? I don't even know if I know this.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
So my only one friend called me Snooki. And our favorite show or our favorite movie was Save the Last Dance.
Michael Bostic
Okay.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
And The DJ was named Snook.
Michael Bostic
Okay.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
And he was like, snook, the coochie crook. And I was like, the first. The first one out of my friends. Like, kiss a guy. Yeah. She was like, you're. You're the. The coochie crook. You're snuck from Save the Last Dance. So when we applied for the show, they wanted everyone to have nicknames, and I'm like, I don't know people. My friends call me Nick or Nikki because I'm Nicole, but I was like. My one friend calls me Snooki, so let me put it on there. And then I was forever known.
Michael Bostic
Yeah, that brand.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
But my MySpace name was Snook. It was the thing, I guess.
Lauryn Evarts
Yeah. Well, it's. I think it's like. It's, like, kind of iconic at this point, right? Like, that's like.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
I don't mind it.
Michael Bostic
No, it's good.
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
But, like, personal stuff and, like. Yeah, I like. I do like.
Michael Bostic
Nicole, where can everyone find you? And, I mean, they already follow you. 18 million followers. Where can they find what you're selling? Tell us all the things. What did you bring me?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Oh, so I brought you some nostalgic merch for my store. Okay. So it's just like, funny graphic tees and just funny Jersey short things. But you can find me on Instagram and TikTok @Snooki. I'm just starting to, like, get used to TikTok. My daughter taught me how to do it.
Michael Bostic
What's the trick?
Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi
Oh, just, like, how to, like, edit it and do all the trends and stuff like that. She's really helping me. So, yeah, I'm on Snooki at social media.
Michael Bostic

Manifesting Fame: Nicole reveals she always wanted reality TV stardom, inspired by MTV classics.
Getting Cast: Her audition for Jersey Shore included dressing “extra,” pounding four shots of Southern Comfort in the car, and entering the casting “dungeon”—her strategy was to stand out and embrace the guido/guidette lifestyle.

Handling Criticism: She speaks candidly about “tough skin,” dismissing haters, but admits she gets “mama bear” when her family is targeted.
Beauty Routine: No real secrets; Nicole credits her thick Chilean-Italian hair for the iconic “poof” and jokes about the uselessness of bump-its.
Morning Routine: Hates mornings, needs quiet, Starbucks, and a peaceful trip to Target or Trader Joe’s to start her day.
Marriage Reality: Advocates for “alone time,” jokes about the need for separate bathrooms, and normalizes feeling annoyed at spouses in the morning.
On the Reality of Reality TV:
"No, everything was real, unfortunately. Yeah. I wish I could say it wasn’t. It’s all a lot of embarrassing things that I wish..." – Nicole (25:22)
On Parental Embarrassment:

On Fandom & Icon Status:
