Welcome to the Bostics, starring Lauren Bostic and Michael Bostic. Together they are the Bostics.
Lauren Bostic
Rachel Katzman is back. She is my friend and the founder of P Volve. In this conversation, it feels like we are having drinks and you guys are invited. In this episode, it feels like a conversation between two friends because that's what it is. I think you're going to love all of Rachel's tips. I was taking notes and we have a very exciting announcement that I think you guys are gonna like. P volve is a clinically proven fitness method that I'm obsessed with strength, mobility and stability. I have been doing this workout for like six years. I'm so passionate about it. And it's so cool to have Rachel on for her third time. She came on six years ago and she is back and we are getting all the juice. Rachel Katzman, welcome to the show. We have Rachel, third time on the show, solo episode with me. We're talking beauty, health, diet, fitness, all the things. I have been hanging out with Rachel a lot lately.
Rachel Katzman
I love it. I know. I feel like I need to move here because I'm going to miss you.
Lauren Bostic
Maybe.
Rachel Katzman
Yeah.
Lauren Bostic
We met in la. We had drinks. Well, you had tea. What's that tea you drink?
Rachel Katzman
I love the Dr. Stolberg rest and Digest tea.
Lauren Bostic
Rachel drinks this tea. You guys like. You have never seen. It's so good. You carry it in your purse?
Rachel Katzman
I do a little travel pouches. Why not?
Lauren Bostic
I mean, what is with this tea? You're obsessed with it. Tell us about it.
Rachel Katzman
I like anything that is going to soothe inflammation, calm my digestion. And like, I love a margarita. I love a spritz. But you know what? On the day to day when I'm working and I'm super busy, I just. I can't. I need to sleep and I need to prioritize just my health. And why not be prepared and have your favorite tea in your bag.
Lauren Bostic
Jill told me that you're so disciplined that you brought salmon in your purse.
Rachel Katzman
Okay, that's a lie.
Lauren Bostic
That's a lie.
Rachel Katzman
She just loves that story so much so I just let her have it. Okay, but like, I would, so it kind of tracks.
Lauren Bostic
So you didn't bring wild salmon in your purse?
Rachel Katzman
No, but I feel like maybe I should.
Lauren Bostic
If you pulled out wild salmon at the Polo Lounge, I would not have been surprised.
Rachel Katzman
Because you know what? I like what I like and I think so. Today's my birthday and I'm so excited to be here with you on my birthday.
Lauren Bostic
Happy birthday.
Rachel Katzman
Thank you and, you know, over these past past 34 years, I think it has been an evolution and just I never started out really in tune with my body and myself, but that's something I'm really proud of and I continue to work on every day. And I think it's so important that people know what works for you. Like what works for me isn't going to work for you and, and so on. It's like knowing what works for you in that season is so important. So you know what if wild salmon's working for me and I need to pull it out of my bag to eat it at a restaurant, so be it. Like that's what makes me feel good and fuel me to get ready for that next day.
Lauren Bostic
Also, who cares, right?
Rachel Katzman
I don't care.
Lauren Bostic
I literally don't care. Like iPads at the gym, I just don't care. I don't know if that's just my age. I don't care.
Rachel Katzman
I think so. I think just like you're busy, you have too much shit going on. Like you're a mom, I have a business. Like I don't give a fuck. Like I'm gonna do what I'm gonna do to make me happy.
Lauren Bostic
It's so interesting to me when you say that you haven't always had it all together because I feel like you're so disciplined and meticulous.
Rachel Katzman
Oh my God. No, no, no, no. Not when I was like in my early 20s. No.
Lauren Bostic
What was it like? Hot Mess Express.
Rachel Katzman
Hot Mess Express. Yeah. It's funny, I was writing in my journal this morning and I'm never good at being like, oh, good job. Pat on the back. I'm always like, that was awful. You need to do more. Go, go, go, go. And I just was like from where I was at 20 to now, it's such like a full. Just 360 and I was like, didn't have a clear path and wild and crazy and going out and partying and all the things and now, you know, really having my purpose and my. Why These are the things that fulfill me and make me happy.
Lauren Bostic
What's the biggest difference between 20 year old Rachel and Rachel now?
Rachel Katzman
Probably my discipline and self motivation and just, you know, I think I always had. My parents would always get really frustrated with me in school because I would never apply myself. And they were like, but you're so smart.
Lauren Bostic
But it's such news though, you know,
Rachel Katzman
but like I just never could funnel it to the right place, right? And I think now with my business, because I am Just so fired up and passionate about it, like it's putting all of that good energy to use.
Lauren Bostic
I really respect you as a founder. I think you've done such an incredible job of evolving and, and also I look at the brand of P Volve and I told you this is almost like you've mixed fitness with. And I don't know if this is on purpose, but like with editorial fashion, it feels very chic. At the same time, I think you've managed to blend those two so beautifully.
Rachel Katzman
Thank you.
Lauren Bostic
Is that something that was a strategy or something? No, no, no, no. It's just happened like that.
Rachel Katzman
I think as I've evolved, you know, like I started this, I was 23 years old, I had no idea what the fuck I was doing. I didn't go to college. It just like. So as I've evolved, as our member base has evolved, I think it's just constantly been an evolution and been up leveling. You know, at the end of the day, like P Volve is for everybody, but we really super serve a 45 plus female and there's a sophistication, there's a taste level and even my taste level, I think it's just, it's been so exciting to kind of watch it unfold into what it is today.
Lauren Bostic
I don't think people talk enough about how important taste is. I think it's one of the most important things, maybe just to me, selfishly as a founder, to have the taste. Because without the taste, it's hard to get the creative vision you want.
Rachel Katzman
Well, one thing I learned from you, which I love that you say is a point of view, because I think like, yes, taste like you have it innately, but it's okay to evolve your point of view, you know, And I think sometimes people are a little bit afraid of that. And my point of view from when I was 25 to when I was 30 to where I am now, is completely different to always listening to what your members want and what they're asking for. That needs to evolve, it needs to change. I think the taste level of always making sure that you're delivering on your promise, they're going to get the results that you're telling them to. You know, those things need to always be there. But like, yeah, if you change kind of up level as you grow, like you need to, to survive in today's
Lauren Bostic
world, you have to be able to change your mind.
Rachel Katzman
And that's okay. It's okay.
Lauren Bostic
It's one of the highest forms of intelligence to have flexibility of the mind, it's so, to me, it's. It's hot for someone to be able to be flexible and change their mind and pivot. You've done a really good job of that.
Rachel Katzman
Thank you.
Lauren Bostic
Is that something that you are innately talented at or is it something that you work at?
Rachel Katzman
Um,
Lauren Bostic
I just.
Rachel Katzman
I feel like I'm very open minded, you know, like, at the end of the day, as you know, I'm very shy. I'm not like, oh, my God, this is the Me show. Take a picture that I'm very, like, I just be in the corner in my sweats and my Uggs with, you know, my mask and no makeup. And, like, it's to me about the work. So I think it's like, I don't really care whose idea it is. You know, we're all here for the same goal. And if it's like, whatever way is going to lead us to that end, I'm cool with.
Lauren Bostic
You're really good at not being in your ego. That's what I've noticed working with you.
Rachel Katzman
Thank you.
Lauren Bostic
It's a very.
Rachel Katzman
I think it's the Midwestern in me.
Lauren Bostic
Yeah. What is that?
Rachel Katzman
I don't know.
Lauren Bostic
It's just natural.
Rachel Katzman
I just. This method, this workout, these products just changed my life so much. And, like, I hear from our members day to day of how this changes them. And so I think it's like, it isn't about me. Nobody really gives a shit about me. Like, we're here for something so much bigger that, like, who has time for that, you know?
Lauren Bostic
Well, I think one of the things that both of us try to do and correct me if I'm wrong, but the customer is the hero to me. I am happy to be the guide.
Rachel Katzman
Yeah.
Lauren Bostic
I don't want to have an agenda with it. I just think, like, just guiding and showing, like, here's what I do. Take what you like, leave what you don't. But the customer at the end of the day has to be the hero for sure. We've all seen brands where, like, the founder is, like, everywhere. Like, it looks like projectile of the founder. And there's something that makes it almost feel like self important. Yeah. You know what I mean?
Rachel Katzman
Yeah.
Lauren Bostic
You do a good job of bringing other people up. I feel like.
Rachel Katzman
Thank you.
Lauren Bostic
I bought Uggs because of you. Uggs are the best I got.
Rachel Katzman
They're back and they're hot and they're
Lauren Bostic
the best because of you. You were wearing ones with flames on them.
Rachel Katzman
Yeah.
Lauren Bostic
You told me to size up. I sized up I got them in the mail. I did my skincare in the car. I put on my iPads.
Rachel Katzman
And how good do they feel?
Lauren Bostic
I touched them.
Rachel Katzman
Yeah.
Lauren Bostic
No, no, no. I touch them after the skincare. Oh, do not touch Uggs. After you put skincare on. No, do not touch them. The oil in the skincare, there's fingerprints all over them, so I had to go back and get new ones. I'll still wear these ones, but sometimes,
Rachel Katzman
like, a little rough and, like, a little vintagey vibes. We like it. You're coming to the Hamptons? That's cool.
Lauren Bostic
Okay.
Rachel Katzman
Okay.
Lauren Bostic
I. I got the. I went back and got the olive ones. Ooh, Love and the gray.
Rachel Katzman
Love.
Lauren Bostic
I wasn't bold enough for the flames. Not yet.
Rachel Katzman
Maybe not yet. Yeah. Baby steps.
Lauren Bostic
What are other things that are very particular and niche that you love besides your tea and your Uggs? We like your taste.
Rachel Katzman
I mean, I would say, God, skin care, hair care, but, like, I just keep everything so simple. I think what I've also learned as I've gotten older is less is more. Like, my skin truly does the best when I use, like, four products, you know, Prior.
Lauren Bostic
What's the four products?
Rachel Katzman
Well, I don't know. I saw your girl last night, so I'm waiting for her to send me my whole new routine, but I just love, like, a simple, gentle cleanser. I do the Tower 28 SOS spray, a hyaluronic, something moisturizing for my barrier, and, like, a nice, thick cream. I'm crazy. I check all my ingredients to make sure there's nothing, like pore clogging, but I just like to keep it basic,
Lauren Bostic
you know, put it through ChatGPT. Yeah. That's what I do.
Rachel Katzman
Yeah.
Lauren Bostic
I'm like, what's toxic?
Rachel Katzman
Yep.
Lauren Bostic
Everything again.
Rachel Katzman
Yeah.
Lauren Bostic
Me again, asking you what's toxic here? And then I'll challenge it. I'll be like, are you sure that's not toxic? I don't think so. I think that's toxic. And it'll be like, you're right. I love how it agrees with me.
Rachel Katzman
I think what's so amazing about, like, the world that we live in today is that there is so much information. There is just, like, podcasts and books and everything coming out. But then it's a little overwhelming.
Lauren Bostic
Yeah.
Rachel Katzman
You know, about any kind of. Whether it's nutrition. Nutrition or health or longevity or skin care, that. And it's really taking that, listening and adapting that of, like, what works for me. I think it's really comes down to everybody is so personal and Also, like, what works for you in a season may no longer work for you in a different season. Like, I think of even when, like, what I'm craving and what I'm eating. And like in the summertime, it's completely different to when it's cold when I'm in New York, it's very different to when I'm in LA in the winter. It's just tuning in. Like your body will give you those signals and it's really learning how to, like, my body's craving this, you know, to eat, or my skin's really wanting this, or just learning what works for you and what doesn't and being okay with that as well.
Lauren Bostic
You know what's not overwhelming? Everyone's new fitness routine.
Rachel Katzman
No longer.
Lauren Bostic
No longer overwhelming.
Rachel Katzman
No.
Lauren Bostic
Should we tell them?
Rachel Katzman
I think we should.
Lauren Bostic
I feel like you should tell them and then we'll get to the story of it all.
Rachel Katzman
So finally, we've known each other for seven years and I'm so excited. I just feel like it made so much sense for us to do a collaboration so exciting. And we are launching our new Strength Evolved bundle in the gorgeous French blue, which I want to circle back on because I have a funny story about the color.
Lauren Bostic
Okay.
Rachel Katzman
But you are going to get this beautiful box and it's gonna come with a very curated four week plan. And I think it really stemmed from, like, there's a lot of workout trauma and a lot of this overwhelm. You know, I listen to a million podcasts and it's all about strength training, resistance training, weight training. Don't bulk up cardio VO2 max, but don't spike your cortisol. But then you need to rest, but you need to be consistent. And it's, where do I start? What do I do? And it's kind of like, let's take the guesswork out of it. This is a one stop shop where you are going to reach all of your goals and you're going to get the strength that you want. But really what makes it so special and different is you're going to get the stability and the mobility that P Volve has to offer.
Lauren Bostic
I have been a fan of this brand for seven years and to be able to do P Volve times Lauren Bostick and do a kit and do it with all of my favorite pieces from your line, but also put my own spin on it with you. Like, this is the heaviest you guys have ever done in weights, right?
Rachel Katzman
Yep.
Lauren Bostic
I'm so passionate about weightlifting. Everyone who's listening knows that. And I have had dms over the last couple years about how to start and where to start. And I'm obviously not a fitness teacher. We have Danny for that. Danny at PVolve shout out. But I'm a practitioner, and I've had access to all different kinds of things. And I don't know how to teach fitness, but I know what works and weights work. And when you guys were open to adding heavier weights and doing a custom package for the audience, I was freaking out. So this has been in the making for a long time. Yeah. Tell us kind of the story behind that.
Rachel Katzman
I mean, we've been talking about this. We should do something. What's it gonna be? It just, like, never felt right. And then this whole concept came to life. And I remember, like, I had my team mock something up of, like, ooh, let's just get excited. And I obviously did it in the pink. Cause I didn't. And I sent it to you, and you were like, oh, no, we're done with the pink. We're evolving. We're. We're going to French blue. And I was like, okay. And then they showed me the picture of all of the equipment in blue, and I was like, I don't know. I don't know. Oi, oi, oi. And then I got the first sample of the P ball in that French blue, and I was like, this fucking girl knows, man. She always knows. And it was perfection. And I just think, like, the equipment and that color is so fresh and it pops and everything, but just the importance of. I think there's a lot of stigma around weight training still. And really having, like, this guided program and everything, you need just to get started and build that habit and build that muscle and build that routine of, like, you're sculpting, you're weightlifting, but really having that extra component of all of the amazing other benefits that P Valve has to offer, like stability and mobility. And it's really funny because I feel like last year you were calling 2026 to be the year of the nervous system.
Lauren Bostic
Yeah.
Rachel Katzman
And it's true. Like, it is. That's what's happening right now. And I'm calling right now, like, the next trend in fitness is going to be stability and mobility.
Lauren Bostic
I think you're right. I think you're so spot on, which is why I'm so proud of this kit. Not only did you and I get to work together to make something so custom for the audience with the colors and the different weights, but it also represents stability, mobility, and strength, which is so Important. So not only is it like gorgeous and great, I feel so good about the customer getting this gorgeous box to their door and opening it and really having every single thing they need. Like it's, it's an investment in your health. It's something that if you have friends over for a date night, say you have like a dinner party, you can leave this out because it's so gorgeous. In fact, you're gonna want it out.
Rachel Katzman
You're gonna want it out.
Lauren Bostic
You're like literally not gonna put it away in, in your cupboard. You're gonna want this out because it's really beautiful. But also it's infusing the market with weightlifting and strength and getting the mobility and stability. So it's like, to me, this, this kit represents longevity for women.
Rachel Katzman
And I would, I really think it's like the future of fitness.
Michael Bostic
Totally.
Rachel Katzman
You know, I think when you think of longevity, people are so used to I need to sleep seven to nine hours, I need to, you know, eat organic and whatever and like. But movement, that is such a critical component of how you are going to age, you know, And I think like stability, it isn't sexy. But what's less sexy is falling over.
Lauren Bostic
Right?
Rachel Katzman
You know, and it's like when I look at even like my grandparents, like during COVID they sat home and guess what, in their late 80s, their life is just like deteriorating. And then I look at my sister in law's grandparents who are the same age who are out and about and they're active and it's like two completely different people. And it's really like you're gonna, you wanna look amazing now, but it's really more important about how you feel and how your body functions. And even like with mobility, if you think about it, the more mobile you are, the better results you're gonna get. Because if I can't, you know, open your hips up and kind of get you in that position, I'm not gonna be able to target really high up in your ass. You're not gonna be able to have like that perfect shape. But then it's really important to have open hips and strong glutes. So they all kind of the aesthetic results really play into kind of the way that your body functions. But again, overwhelming. It's very confusing. So it's like with this, in this program, don't think, just show up, get on the mat, get your equipment out, push play. And you're getting all of those amazing benefits in every single workout that you're going to do.
Lauren Bostic

He was skeptical at first, but after having tons of experts on the show, he has opened up. So he has a whole routine right now which is really cute and sweet and he does look younger and he does look glowy. You can see this on the show.
Michael Bostic
That's right, Lauren. It's called the regimen by caldera lab.
Lauren Bostic
This is designed specifically for men's thicker skin. It's for simple products and it takes a couple minutes morning and night. Most importantly to me, it's clean and non toxic ingredients which we love. And I know that he tried Caldera lab risk free for 60 days.
Michael Bostic
So into it is after a few weeks people started commenting. Like Lauren said, my skin looks healthier. And I started talking to so many people on this show about healthy, radiant skin and really being aware of it myself. So again, I think a lot of men just aren't taught about these things. We're not presented products that speak to us. We don't know where to begin, we don't know how they work. And caldera definitely solves that for us and for the skeptics out there. In clinical trials, 97% of people agreed their skin looked more youthful in just four weeks. That's legit. And I feel the exact same way. So I love caldera. It's clean, simple and most importantly, it works.
Lauren Bostic
Go to calderalab.com skinny and use code skinny for 20% off your first order. If you're looking for a gift he'll actually use every single day. This is it. Go to caldera lab.com skinny and use code skinny for 20% off your first order. I think you're really onto something when you talk about the aesthetic of an older person. When you think about the aesthetic of an older person, when you can tell someone's old, they could be really skinny, but there's like a crotchety like, like movement pattern.
Rachel Katzman
Yeah.
Lauren Bostic
And I think as all of us begin to age, the way to combat that is through stability and mobility. And so, yes, so many people are weightlifting, but you wanna make sure you're getting the other component. And I think that's what P Volve does so well, is mixing those three together. And now you can do it in the most beautiful way. I'm so French blue. French blue. Because pink is the skinny confidential. Lauren Bostic. I feel like I'm doing my own thing. The skinny confidential I love more than life, but like. And that's my baby. But my own brand to me needed to be something different. And I don't do a lot of Lauren Bostic ambassador collaborations like this. So I was very meticulous about if I was gonna put my name on a workout. It has to be the best of the best. It has to be something that I actually do. It has to be something That I enjoy. But also, and this is a really important one and I would love for you to speak on this. I travel a lot for work. I am booked and busy.
Rachel Katzman
Yes, you are.
Lauren Bostic
And I will not fuck around when it comes to my workout. It's a non negotiable. And I have been doing this workout with Danny, the VP of training. And we literally go out on the grass with a mat and put on bossa nova and put our feet in the grass and ground while we do this workout. And when I tell you I walk outside my hotel room and do it for 45 minutes and it gets the job done. And then I walk back in my hotel room. It's seamless.
Rachel Katzman
Yeah.
Lauren Bostic
And I think that there's so many moms listening that are so busy that only have time for 30 minutes or 45 minutes. And we got you covered.
Rachel Katzman
Yep.
Lauren Bostic
That's important to me. It's like it's saving them time. And you know how I am about my time. I love that about this workout.
Rachel Katzman
I think first and foremost, I hope it's P volve. I think it can be P volve. You have to like what you're doing.
Lauren Bostic
Absolutely.
Rachel Katzman
That is number one.
Lauren Bostic
Like movement, it's gotta be pretty.
Rachel Katzman
It is. And it's like movement is too important. So you have to actually, it has to feel good. It should not hurt you. You shouldn't feel depleted, you should feel energized, you should feel taller, longer and all the things. Right? Okay, so we're past that. But yes, these are portable pieces. Like, I'm traveling right now. I was doing the P band while I was getting my makeup done. I'm like wearing T shirts, gotta show my arms. I want my posture to be right. But like, it doesn't need to be that 50 minute class. And that's great if that's what time allows for. But like, it's all about consistency and like, I'm in it for the long game. I'm not about a quick fix. Like, yes, I want results quickly and whatever. But like, I'm playing the long game here. I want my body to be set up for success, not only today, tomorrow, but for the Future. And the 5, 10, 15, 20 minutes every day or five days a week, whatever you have, it all adds up.
Lauren Bostic
You look so hot. How do you use the P volve Times Lauren Bostick kit? Meaning how many days a week, how long? Which weights are you choosing? What's your favorite piece in it? Give us like the Rachel way.
Rachel Katzman
Okay. The Rachel way. So I'm probably Doing something at least five days a week. Okay, six, maybe seven, but usually five. And depending on how my body's feeling, I'm doing like three sculpting workouts, two weight training, and it could be something like 30 minutes. One day, 50 minutes in the studio, another day, 20 minutes at home because of my schedule. But I like to mix it up. Full body, upper body, lower body, full body. And I'm definitely going up my weights. I was somebody who is very, very, very scared of weights.
Lauren Bostic
Heavy weight, let it rip.
Rachel Katzman
I was petrified. I was honest.
Lauren Bostic
Tell us all.
Rachel Katzman
I didn't. I didn't even want to use a two pound weight. You know, I was like, no weights for me. And now here I am, I've got my twelves, my 15, and like, I'm. It's just like, it's this feeling and it's like. I think people don't realize how hard it is to actually, like, put on muscle and like the amount of food that you would need to be consuming. Like, the reason bodybuilders look like that is because that's our job. Like, that is their job to, you know, eat and work out. But, like, that isn't what we're doing. So it's the amount of benefits having muscle on your body is going to give to you. It's going to speed up your metabolism. You know, as we age, you start to lose muscle mass as you get into your 30s and it accelerates into your 40s and your 50s. And as women, we go through menopause and all of our hormones, like, muscles, your protection, you know, and so having those weights, like, you just feel like hot and strong and like badass and like. But my favorite product is probably still the People.
Lauren Bostic
The People and like.
Rachel Katzman
And now in this blue, I have like a whole new love for it.
Lauren Bostic
Let me show it. If you guys are watching YouTube, you should.
Rachel Katzman
It's just like, there's nothing like it. I love it.
Lauren Bostic
It's. Are we like in France in summer or what?
Rachel Katzman
Yes, it is.
Lauren Bostic
It's so pretty.
Rachel Katzman
We're in San Tropez. We have a spritz with the people.
Lauren Bostic
It's literally. I think this is the most gorgeous workout. It is situation I've ever seen. What's cuter?
Rachel Katzman
No, nothing.
Lauren Bostic
It's so beautiful.
Rachel Katzman
Yeah.
Lauren Bostic
And I feel like one thing I like about my p volve equipment, since I've been doing this workout for so long, it holds up. You know, I think that's important sometimes, like, you'll. You'll buy like a workout band and it like stretch it like this. Your stuff is like really well made.
Rachel Katzman
Well, I mean, at the beginning when we had no money, I invested everything into the products. Like, I'm like the fancy website and all the cute branding and all the evolution of that can come later. But like, if the product doesn't work, nobody's coming back.
Lauren Bostic
What is Jennifer Aniston up to? Tell us about Jen.
Rachel Katzman
It's been insane. It's been so crazy and wild and just having, you know, her be like the biggest fan and streamer and partner, it's just been incredible and like her voice and how much she loves it and I think you can really see even her evolution with the company and, you know, all of our marketing that we've done and just how much she is a P Volve girly and all of her friends doing it and her stories like mine and it's like all of our members of like, I don't want my body to feel broken down. Why isn't there something for me that's not only going to make me look and feel strong, but have my body function at the place that I want it to.
Lauren Bostic
I heard a little rumor that she does P Volve only four days a week.
Rachel Katzman
I think that rumor's true, huh? Yeah.
Lauren Bostic
And she does an hour.
Rachel Katzman
I think you can ask Dani maybe some specifics, but that's.
Lauren Bostic
Yes, we got Dani. We gotta get Dani on here. Dani is her trainer and we gotta ask her the specifics about what she does because she looks incredible, amazing.
Rachel Katzman
She does. And like the one thing she always says is, I wish I had this in my 20s. Like, I wish I didn't destroy my body when I was younger to look a certain way because that's what I thought I had to do. And now with P? Volve, it's like I look better than I did back then. I feel better, I'm stronger, I'm leaner, I'm just have more energy and like, I think it shows. And you can tell it's kind of like exuding that P Volve's exuding out of her, you know?
Lauren Bostic
Yeah. She is radiating like at a really high frequency. You can tell? Yeah, like she just feels like she's in the pocket.
Rachel Katzman
Yeah, she is.
Lauren Bostic
Yeah, I can tell. And that's big. Thanks to P Volvett. What are some little Rachel way tips when it comes to? I know you mentioned earlier, you only use four skincare products. Tell us like nail color, places that you're shopping, all the things, trends that you're liking, what you don't like give us like all your little tidbits.
Rachel Katzman
Okay. Nail color. Usually I have no polish on my nails. I think that helps grow the nails. I did put polish on for you because I was coming on here. But I like, I love a wind down routine. I am all about kind of getting myself ready for bed because I think your sleep sets you up for your next day.
Lauren Bostic
So what's the wind down routine?
Rachel Katzman
I want to preface this by saying I don't have kids so like I can take 45 minutes to like do my kids.
Lauren Bostic
You gotta let it rip. Someone set a gavel act to judge.
Rachel Katzman
Anyway, okay, we're going upstairs. We have our jammies on, but we usually are in our jammies all day because I hate getting dressed. So I'm upstairs, I have the PEMF mat down. I wash my face. I'm on the mat with my legs up on the bed. I have the saluma red light on. I'm usually listening to. Honestly, sometimes I listen to your podcast or I'm doing like a Hertz moment sometimes. I also have like the pulsetto thing here for like the nervous system if I'm really stressed. So we have like all different machines going at once and then I go back in the bathroom and I do all the serums and whatever. Get ready for bed. I need to watch like a Bravo show for 30 minutes just to like totally check out and go somewhere else before I close my eyes. And then it's noise machine, eye mask and your mouth tape.
Lauren Bostic
And then when you wake up, what time is it?
Rachel Katzman
Between like 6 and 6:15. And I'm usually rolling over to get on a call because I work on Easter during standard time, so that's usually not so fun while I'm out in la. But like I get up, I get at it, I work for three hours and then I go and take a class at the studio or I work out at home.
Lauren Bostic
Do the trainers get nervous when you come into the studio to take class?
Rachel Katzman
It's so funny because I was talking about that today because I visited an Austin, our Austin location that I love so much and like unbelievable class. And the trainer's like, do you have any notes? I'm like, honestly, no notes. And like I usually always have notes. Except for Dani.
Lauren Bostic
You're pretty easy going.
Rachel Katzman
I am. I know.
Lauren Bostic
I don't get the notes thing from you.
Rachel Katzman
I don't know, I'm. Some people maybe get nervous but also just like, I just want to move, man. I just want to have a good time and move my body and like,
Lauren Bostic
it's not that serious, you know, it's not that serious.
Rachel Katzman
No.
Lauren Bostic
What do what. When you open all these different studios, how do you conceptualize where you're going, what you're doing, who's working in these studios? Because that's like a whole other world than the online world.
Rachel Katzman
It's a lot of work. It is. You know, I think the thing I say with P Volve is like, it's three separate businesses in one business. It's the streaming digital component, it's a physical products, and then there's the studio and franchise business all wrapped into one. It's insane that, like these amazing women either are fans of P? Volve and they quit their job because they want to bring P? Volve to their community. Like, it's actually wild. I kind of get chills and, like goosebumps about it. But I think that's what makes it so special is because having the option, like, there's always going to be people who want to work out at home, but you never can replicate that in person. Community aspect. And community is so important when you think about longevity. So. So having that option to go be able to work out in person and kind of getting it wherever you want to be able to get your P Volve in.
Michael Bostic
Let's take a quick break to talk about why Kion Aminos is one of my favorite companies, one of my favorite brands. It's something that I cannot live without now. I take it when I travel, I take it in the office, I have it at home, I take it every time I work out. And here's why. Your body needs all nine essential amino acids and Kion Aminos provide that. We've had Angelo, the founder of Kion, on the show multiple times talking about the importance of getting these essential aminos in your body on a regular basis. Many of us are very aware of protein and how important it is, but aminos are just as important, if not more important. So if you're looking to have lean muscle, a more efficient metabolism, meridian hair, skin and nail health, and easy daily protein support with faster recovery, Kion Aminos is the way to go. The way that I like to take it is every single time I go for a workout, I personally take two scoops. The recommended dosage is one, but you can take up to three to four per day. So I take two in the morning when I'm working out, and then throughout the day I'll maybe add another scoop to get a little bit more in. This is such a great way to make sure that you're getting all nine essential amino acids and there's no caffeine or stimulant fuel. Basically, it just enhances the water. It tastes great. I love the mango flavor, but they have this berry flavor, a lemon lime flavor and a watermelon. And again, they're all good. It's an easy daily habit. It tastes great. It makes easily into water or whatever beverage of your choice. So if you're looking to enhance your routine, if you want to build more lean muscle, if you want to light your metabolism on fire, kion aminos is the way to go. All you have to do to try it is go to getkeown.com skinny for 20% off. That's getkeon, which is spelled K-I-O-N.com skinny skinny for 20 off. Let's take a break to talk about Armor Colossum. Unfortunately, we live in an environment our biology was never designed for. EMFs, artificial light, seed oils, microplastics, endocrine disruptors, all these modern stressors that are disrupting our body and our signaling and our health on a daily basis. Many of these things which are becoming much more topical and much more frequently talked about. We've been talking about these issues on this show for a long time, which is why we have trusted and loved partnering with Armor Colossian for so long. That's because Armor Colossian works at the cellular level to bolster your health from within. Colossium is nature's first whole food with over 400 bioactive nutrients that fortify gut health, strengthen your immune system, fuel performance and more, paving the way for your best health and vitality. And what Lauren and I also love is efficiency. This product packs a punch whether you're looking to strengthen your immune health, like I mentioned, fortify gut health, ignite a healthy metabolism, have healthier hair or skin health, or fuel performance and recovery. Armor Colostrum is going to help you do that. As mentioned earlier, Colostrum is one of the first things we get when we're born into this world and has so many benefits that we can continue to experience if we take a supplement like armor. So check it out. They come in these jugs that you can have at home or the little travel packets that you can take on the go or bring to the office or work or wherever you want to go. And of course, we've worked out a special offer for our audience. Receive 30% off your first subscription order. All you have to do is go to armor.com/skinny or enter skinny to get 30% off your first subscription order. That's a R M R A.com/skinny.

And this kit has heavy weights in it and it also has everything you need for stability and mobility. So in this kit, you're really getting everything you could ever want when it comes to fitness. You're also getting access to my P Volve trainer, Dani Coleman. She also happens to be Jennifer Aniston's trainer. She's coached me along this P Volve journey. P Volve has been something that I keep going back to. For the last seven years, I've had three babies and it's helped me stay in shape and tighten and tone up. I love the founder, Rachel. I think she's an absolute genius. So when she came to me and wanted to create this custom kit for you guys, I was like, let's do it. It's limited edition. It's gorgeous. It Comes in the most beautiful box ever. And the best part is the everything is built with intention. So P Volve's core strength pillars are strength, mobility and stability. And this kit hits all of them. This is product that you want out in your living room, in your office. It's esthetically pleasing, it's gorgeous. But most importantly, it works if you want to shrink your body composition and change your life. Start lifting heavy and implement stability and mobility. Lauren Bostick for P Volvett has all of the things. Like I said, this is a limited edition kit. It's called Strength Evolved and once it's gone, it's gone. If you're looking for low impact but intense workouts, check out P Volve. Head to p volve.com skinny and use code skinny for 15% off sitewide or on class packs at a P Volve studio near you. And definitely grab this kit, you guys, because like I said, once it's gone, it's gone. Lauren Bostic for P Volvet. Jessica, Sandy and I were working out with Cecily in person and that was so much fun.
Rachel Katzman
I joined one of those. It was so fun.
Lauren Bostic
You joined?
Rachel Katzman
Yeah.
Lauren Bostic
We should have got a cocktail afterwards next time. But I also don't sleep on, like I said, just turning, getting it in when you can just like, literally, you could lay the mat down and just have it out. That's a trick that I do. I just have it all set up.
Rachel Katzman
I have my clothes. Like, my clothes for working out, laid out the night before. Doesn't matter.
Lauren Bostic
Oh, my gosh. You're one of those. You're like, michael.
Rachel Katzman
I can't. I've always said me and Michael are so similar.
Lauren Bostic
Really?
Rachel Katzman
We really are. It's really weird. I know. It's kind of weird.
Lauren Bostic
Yeah, it is. Michael lays his clothes out.
Rachel Katzman
I'm like, well, no, I'll be in like the same sweatsuit for like three, four days. No, I'm like, the workout. No, I don't think he would. But like the workout clothes. I just like it with the socks because I'm always in a rush. So just to grab it and go,
Lauren Bostic
I don't know why I can't do that. Why can I not plan ahead? I tell myself I'm going to do it every single day. That's why I just leave the P Volve equipment out. Yeah. And you know what you can do, too. What I did is I got a set for my office too.
Rachel Katzman
Perfect.
Lauren Bostic
So you just lay it out and you just have it there so you don't have to Worry about it. You can just figure out a way to get it in.
Rachel Katzman
I think it's knowing what's going to set you up individually for success. So, like, if that's what's going to set you up for success, that's what you do. If you need to lay your clothes out the night before to get you there, do it. It's like the little tiny habits of just starting to do it so that they become integrated into your life. Like, who gives a. Do what you have to do to get you to that point, you know, so you can start kind of incorporating all of these different aspects into your life.
Lauren Bostic
I think that is such a good tip. If anyone is listening and they feel overwhelmed, what I would say is exactly sort of what Rachel just said, which is like, how would a high performer act? And you could. You could ask ChatGPT, like, how would
Rachel Katzman
a high performer everything.
Lauren Bostic
And it'll tell you, like, wake up at this time, you know, drink water before coffee, have electrolytes. Like, you just start to embody what a high performer does, and then you become a high performer.
Rachel Katzman
Like, I lay out everything on my kitchen counter. I have the hot. Like, the tea kettle. I have the electrolytes. I have the mug. I have every. So when I come downstairs, I push it on. It's just like, I don't want to reach into the cupboards for things. Like, I just want to either. I want it all laying there, you
Lauren Bostic
know, I don't want to reach either. I want to have it all in front of me. I totally agree with you. My problem is I think I have adhd. I've realized, and it's. I, like, get distracted. There's a big distraction for me. I need to lay my clothes out.
Rachel Katzman
You just start, and if it doesn't feel good, don't do it again. But you know what? Maybe it might feel great. And you're going to keep doing it.
Lauren Bostic
I mean, to be like, this is. I'm trying to.
Rachel Katzman
Isabelle's gonna send it to you. We'll have it laid out.
Lauren Bostic
Yes, yes, yes. And we do have to shout out Chris Dillon in this episode.
Rachel Katzman
We do.
Lauren Bostic
Because he does your hair. What do you ask for in your hair? If you're watching.
Rachel Katzman
I asked for the Chris.
Lauren Bostic
What is the Chris?
Rachel Katzman
This.
Lauren Bostic
What is this? Go watch YouTube, you guys.
Rachel Katzman
This is like, I haven't washed my hair in three days, and I maybe just had some fun in the bedroom for a couple hours, and, oh, I just showed up.
Lauren Bostic
It's very, like, soft, effortless, and then you're Wearing the new blue P Volve shirt.
Rachel Katzman
Yes.
Lauren Bostic
Is this launching with the collection?
Rachel Katzman
Yeah, it's coming out the end of the month.
Lauren Bostic
It's so cute. You guys have to go watch.
Rachel Katzman
We're trying to up level all of our merch. We're trying to evolve all areas of the business.
Lauren Bostic
It really is beautiful. I can't wait to wear it. So I guess my last question would be like, why do you think that this partnership is so synergistic and what do you think differentiates it from everything else on the market?
Rachel Katzman
I think I've always just respected you as a thought leader in this space and like it just, you know, watching you evolve your brand and your business into what it is today. And same with mine. I think we all like, we represent the same things. You know, we want to be able to provide people and give access to people like the best of the best. And like, I firmly believe that no matter your age, your fitness level, everybody can benefit from P Volve. And really we all need the strength, the mobility, the stability and all those kind of aspects that are going to set you up for your movement, longevity.
Lauren Bostic
I would not put my name on anything that wasn't a 10 out of 10. And I can tell you guys that this is not only a workout that I do. I love it, I talk about it. I've been doing it for six years. I'm so passionate about it. I tell all my friends about it. And if you're looking to hit all the buckets, and this is also for someone who's a beginner weightlifter. So say you're like, I'm overwhelmed. I don't know where to start. You can get this kit and you can start there. But it's also for someone who maybe is like me and has been weightlifting for a while and is more like intermediate, advanced, because I promise you, you've
Rachel Katzman
never weightlifted our way. That is so different.
Lauren Bostic
It's unique.
Rachel Katzman
You know, you're going to be lifting the heavy weights with the P ball on and be doing all the stepping and the balancing and then, you know, lifting and doing the rows. Like it's so different and unique. And I think no matter where you're starting and kind of having that four week plan because it takes 21 days to build a new habit. So having that plan of like, it's also not overwhelming. It kind of, it starts with three days and then three days and four days and four days. Cause I always say like when you're starting something new, start small. Like even if that Four week plan. Might take you two months or eight weeks. Like, that's okay. Start two days a week and feel good and confident about that. And then the next week, you might want to go up to three. Like, do what is right for you to set you up for success in the long game. Because that's.
Lauren Bostic
Dylan changed his whole body. I mean, he did, and he's always looked amazing, but he does P Volve. How many times a week?
Rachel Katzman
Five.
Lauren Bostic
Five. You guys, when I tell you his whole body is. It's the most beautiful muscle I've ever seen. It's, like, toned and gorgeous. And I do want to say Sandy Brockman, who is one of the best trainers.
Rachel Katzman
We love Sandy.
Lauren Bostic
She's amazing. She trains me here. She's been training me for a while. She told me, lauren, on your days off, go to P Volvet. And not only on my days off. She said you could do P? Volve as a workout. And she is one of your biggest fans. And Sandy does not mess around.
Rachel Katzman
No.
Lauren Bostic
She's all about opening the hips to pop the butt. She's all about the mobility. She's all about.
Rachel Katzman
She's all about the foot.
Lauren Bostic
She's all about all this. So when you have someone, to me that is such an expert also signing off, I just think it's such an incredible workout. This is an investment in your health. Every last detail is curated just for you. We really thought of the customer with this, like, even, like, the packaging, the opening, the experience, even. This is so weird. But even how the box feels. It feels like when you open an Apple iPhone and it's like a slow reveal.
Rachel Katzman
I, like, feel like I kind of took this project, like, away from, like, the whole team. And then, like, once I showed, like, the broader P? Volve team, they're like, how could. Wait. This box, this is what we're doing. Whoa. Like. And I'm like, yes. We are up leveling. We're doing this with Lauren. This has to be a fucking plus.
Lauren Bostic
It's a fucking plus.
Rachel Katzman
Yeah.
Lauren Bostic
I am screaming this from the rooftops. Truly, Like, I'm so excited. This is the collaboration of a century. I'm just telling you guys. P Volve times, Lauren Bostic. You guys gave everyone on the podcast a code. It is limited.
Rachel Katzman
Yep.
Lauren Bostic
Once it's gone, it's gone. Yeah.
Rachel Katzman
Once it's gone.
Lauren Bostic
Once it's gone, it's gone. Although we may be in the Hamptons in August drinking spritz with Chris and bring it back. But I would buy it now because it's kind of One of those things. It's a limited colorway. We made a certain amount. It's just so good. What's the promo that you guys gave everyone?
Rachel Katzman
So we are giving all of your listeners 15% off and it is available to use on people.com if you want to buy the bundle for at home, if you even want to sign up for a studio class. And I'm just so excited for everybody to experience this. So, like, comment tag, let us know. Let us know your results. Let us know how you're doing on the program. And I'm just like, I'm out of my mind over it.
Lauren Bostic
I cannot wait for you guys to get this kit. Definitely tag us. We will repost all the tags and I think you're going to love this because people is to going quite literally the opposite of everything we've been sold about fitness. And it's going to change your life. This is the kit to ask for on your birthday. It's the kit to buy now. It's a good gift too.
Rachel Katzman
It is a great gift.
Lauren Bostic
Yeah. Rachel, I adore you as a friend, as a founder. I'm so happy to know you and I'm so excited to see where this brand goes. It's going to the moon. Thank you for coming on. Where can everyone say hi to you? Ask questions? We gotta get you to post more.
Rachel Katzman
I'm posting more.
Lauren Bostic
Okay.
Rachel Katzman
This is the year. I'm trying.
Lauren Bostic
Once a week is not enough.
Rachel Katzman
Okay, we'll talk off. You can find me at rcatsman, but follow P Volve because that's probably more exciting at P Volve, But I'm trying. I'm shy. I'm trying.
Lauren Bostic
I don't think you're that shy.
Rachel Katzman
Cause I'm comfortable with you, but, like, I'm shy.
Lauren Bostic
Have you ever listened to the audiobook Excuses Be Gone by Wayne Dyer?
Rachel Katzman
No, but I just heard you talking about Wayne Dyer and I want to
Lauren Bostic
start listening to him listen to excuses be gone. Okay. And he talks about when you say you're shy, okay, you're not shy, right? Like, to me, you're like, not shy. That's not how I would describe you.
Rachel Katzman
Okay.
Lauren Bostic
It's interesting that that's what you say to yourself. Not that being shy is back. It's more like camera.
Rachel Katzman
Like I'm not as comfortable with like the. So I gotta find my thing. You just gotta, like, you just gotta fucking do it.
Lauren Bostic
You just gotta do it.
Rachel Katzman
I just gotta do it. I'm sitting here trying to wait, no excuses. Just start. And I. You know what? Take my own advice. Okay, I'm gonna start also.
Lauren Bostic
Where can we get the shirt?
Rachel Katzman
Pvolve.com. okay.
Lauren Bostic
Thank you for coming on, Rachel. We adore you.
Rachel Katzman
Thank you.
