When this podcast started, I didn't know where it was going to go. I couldn't have predicted that it would launch in the top 15 business podcasts in the world or go on to reach millions of entrepreneurs. I just knew I had things to.
Say, ideas to unpack, lessons to share, stories to tell.
I thought I was here to teach strategy to help you grow your business, to make marketing feel approachable, fun even. But looking back, this podcast didn't just document my business journey. It mirrored my life. It caught every version of me along the way. The nervous excitement of those early days, my Delusional confidence to build a community and make my vision come to life. Over the last eight years, I've interviewed hundreds of industry leaders with their own powerful stories and meaningful messages. They not only impacted each of you, but they grew into friendships, the kind of people who have your back, no matter the reason or the season. I've considered quitting a thousand times before, but I never did because I knew there was more work to be done, more people to help. And I genuinely love doing this job. Being the host of this show has always been one of the most meaningful parts of my life. Somewhere between the how to's and the headlines, I realized something. This podcast was never really about just business. Sure, we helped you grow an email list and make more sales on social, but in between the tactics and the strategies, there was a lot of truth. I shared vulnerable stories. I let you into pieces of my life that under probably more normal circumstances, I would keep quiet. It became a place we could talk about friendship and marriage, infertility and loss, grief and joy. And I am so grateful you've given me this space and this platform to express a little more of myself with the hope of you feeling a little less alone. It's strange to build something that feels like the culmination of your life's work and your innermost feelings. It's become a piece, or perhaps more a reflection of me. It's helped me process things and at times been my own awkward form of therapy. And over the last few episodes, I've shared how my definition of enough has changed, how my values have shifted, and how lately I've had to admit that I don't know exactly what's next. And maybe that's the point.
