Looking for a way to make a difference with your morning coffee? Grab a bag of talitha coffee@bossproject.com Coffee Every purchase helps support survivors of human trafficking. Make every cup count@bossproject.com Coffee I'm not immune to the mind junk and all the things that come up that make you doubt where you're going, that really stretch you and push you and break you down. I have been there, just like you have and I slipped back into that position many times. It's not necessarily work that's just done once and then you get to forget about it. But these are the things that have truly set me up for long term success and being able to accept them and practice them has allowed me to grow in a way that I previously did not think was possible for myself. In today's episode. I want to do something that's just a little bit different. I want to share snippets of some of my absolute favorite trainings I've ever done on Mindset and I want to show you exactly where you can get the full training. So to give you a little bit of a heads up, everything I'm talking about today I go into way more detail inside the co op. We just dropped just dropped what we're calling the Mindset reboot and it includes all three of these trainings. Now some of you may have seen one version of these trainings before. One training I know for sure none of you have seen and it is totally brand new. The other two, you may have seen a version of it. It has been updated, it is rebooted, it is better than ever. So I'm super excited about that. But I do want to dive in to some of the specifics, some of the exact things that I'm going to be teaching inside those trainings and give you a little sneak preview so that you can get some actionable takeaways today. Because I know the reason you're listening is because you got some mind junk right now, and so let's work on some of that in real time. If you're already a member, I would probably just jump into your course portal and listen to these trainings on there in their totality. And if you're not yet a member, you can find out more@creative templateshop.com membership or if you're ready to hit the ground running and you're like, I know I want access to this, you can go to bossproject.com join the first shift that was absolutely required for me was shifting to what I call an experimental mindset, and this is just a preview of what that looks like. We tell ourselves stories all the time. Those stories we tell ourselves are shaped by our experiences and the people around us. We can acknowledge that they influence us and our decisions and still choose which stories serve us and which ones we need to let go of. We can create a filter for these stories. We can acknowledge and value them because they were formed by our actual experiences and very real relationships. As a total aside, I saw the most interesting but also totally relevant way to rethink how others think about us. Because ultimately what we think others think about us is actually just a story and we can just decide it's different because the original version was just in our head to begin with. You need to understand that the stories exist to protect you, but we have to choose to evaluate them and really retain only what's going to support our current path and our goals forward. It's a conscious process that's going to help shape those decisions and guide our mindset into the future. I used to very personally struggle with what it looked like to show up, and I saw things as wins and as failures, as things I succeeded at and things that I sucked at, things that were holding me back or ways I wasn't doing my best. And when I shifted my approach and really adopted this mentality to see everything as an experiment, everything changed. There is no success or failure, just opportunities to learn and grow. Every decision is going to help us get clearer on what works and what doesn't without the pressure of always getting it right. I personally like to think about it like A science. A science experiment where we make these hypothesis, we go out and we test things and then rather than seeing it as a success or failure, we observe the outcomes and make decisions about what a future experiment may look like based on our findings. Like that scientific foundation. When I started adopting that in the business world, everything changed for me. Not only was my mental health better because I wasn't constantly beating myself up about what I was or wasn't doing, but I was able to see a path forward that allowed me to continue to improve and continue to impact more people. But that's just a snippet of it. If you want that full training, you're going to have to get it inside the co op, inside my mindset. Reboot now. The second training is all about busting perfectionism. Because this was something that I truly, truly struggled with my entire life. I wanted to show up in a way that others saw me as having it all together. And I want to. Instead of setting perfectionism down, I want to help you see it as a potential superpower. Like, what if the things that we saw as flaws about ourselves were beneficial? Were things that made us who we are and actually benefited our future? Perfectionism specifically being one of them. Like, I know the people in the room are starters and perfectionists and overthinkers and do gooders and high achievers, all of the above. Nothing is wrong with being those things, but we have assigned meaning to it. And I do think there is a healthy and unhealthy way to look at it. Unhealthy perfectionism is going to make you feel weighed down by your goals. Fear is going to hold you back and perfectionism is going to keep you stuck. Healthy perfectionism is a lot of things. It is so many things, so many positive things. But one incredible one is all about taking that messy action. Being willing to move forward without knowing everything in advance, without having it all figured out, without having it be totally perfect. I do believe there is a world where you can actively make things happen and continue to focus on improving improvement as you go. Unhealthy perfectionism is that constant procrastination and it can come up in a variety of ways. You keep waiting for the perfect moment or the right time to do something, or you keep waiting for the right words or the perfect sales sequence. Like why? How would you even know you've arrived? Healthy perfectionism is celebrating those small victories where you're able to give yourself credit, where credit is due instead of waiting for that massive moment when everything all aligns because it never Happens, right? Unhealthy perfectionists set unrealistic goals and extremely high expectations. They tend to double down. They become obsessed with the goal and increasing effort and doing more and doing better. But they also avoid action. They may be obsessed with that goal, but they get paralyzed with fear and it's holding them back. Healthy perfectionists are focused on growth. They challenge themselves by setting high goals and standards. But they're not afraid of losing because there is no loss. There is just opportunity to learn. They have a willingness to keep moving forward and keep going even when things get hard. They have a willingness to try and evaluate what happens along the way. I think this quote sums up a lot. The point of those goals isn't just to check boxes that we blindly set. Years ago. I've done that, by the way. I started a business and I just put myself on a roadmap that was born out of Midwestern values and what I was told was right for my life. It took me so long to understand that I could be in control, that I had my own ability to choose and that I could define what I wanted. But that quote that I promised you is from Columbia University Professor Dorie Clark. Quote what counts is our ability to master the right kind of big goals, the ones that can change your life. You can only accomplish those kinds of goals when you're willing to question assumptions regularly and reevaluate as necessary. Like really sit with that question assumptions regularly and re evaluate as necessary. What if you aren't just constantly pursuing a checklist that you never revisit and instead understand that our decisions can change, our desires can move and we can adjust along the way that we. We can just pivot just a little bit. It doesn't mean getting completely off course. It means heading in a new direction. And that is okay and positive and helpful when used the right way. Perfectionism is your superpower and I want to help break that down in a way bigger way. Like this is just a small piece of what that looks like and how to rewire how you look at that, how you look at your flaws. And breaking down the full training inside the mindset reboot, which is exclusive to the co op right now. But this third shift was probably the most important shift for me. And it was this acceptance of what I call fundamental truths that honestly I had to learn the hard way. I had to go out and learn what I didn't know because you don't know what you don't know until you're in the middle of it. And I want to help you jump ahead. Because if you accept these from the beginning, you're going to get a lot further a lot faster than I did. Because we all have that mind junk. We all have the stories we tell ourselves, we all have doubts that can cloud our vision, self talk that's gonna slow us down. But the acceptance of these fundamental truths are going to allow sales to just flow to us. Which I realize sounds wild when you're not there yet, but trust me, on the other side of these, that feels abundantly true. I keep seeing it happen. You're caught in a loop, waiting for that perfect moment, overthinking every decision and comparing your progress to the curated realities of others online. I've been there too, and I made a shift that changed absolutely everything. It simplified my approach and allowed me to start trusting my intuition again. Truly, everything changed. My business doubled, then doubled again. I rocked $300,000 launches and rolled over $10,000 students in a single course and finally started showing up in a way that felt effortless and aligned. Now I'm sharing those exact tools and strategies in my new three part workshop series, Mindset Reboot. Right now you can grab it for just $11. Hurry. Indeed.com strategy hour terms and conditions apply. Need to hire you need Indeed. Now, there are seven fundamental truths that are required for for you to accept. I'm only going to cover a couple of them and the ones I do cover, I'm only going to touch the surface because they're a lot deeper than this. Now one of them is that visibility requires consistency. I know putting yourself out there and getting visible can be Scary and intimidating. It's not just something that you're going to do once. It's more of a marathon than a sprint. You have to to go after it and do it again and again. Being visible all on its own is a necessity. As a small business owner, it's required. People have to know you exist because if they don't, then how are they ever going to become your client or recommend you to a friend? You have to be putting yourself out there, but it's not something you just do the one time. You have to keep showing up. And the reason for that is because even after everything is quote unquote set up, sales are only ever going to happen if you have enough qualified leads. Now the amazing part is there are a lot of ways to get qualified leads. Some are active strategies and some are passive strategies. Some of those active ones include producing content so that you can attract those leads. Leads. Warm outreach where you ask for the leads. Paid ads where you buy leads, and cold outreach where you survey for leads. But there are passive ones too. Some passive strategies include search where leads find you, funnels where leads follow a process. Leads on Autopilot, which is my personal favorite, where leads are given to you. And bots where leads are automated. Now those active strategies require that you pursue them like you have to keep doing it again and again. And they do tend to work faster. The passive ones are more long term strategies. So you're going to have to do work up front before you get the reward for them. But they can pay off way, way, way down the line, which is awesome. But it's still a necessary step to make that happen. And the reason I say that is because we're talking about sales here. We're talking about qualified leads, we're talking about all the ways you can get leads. It only makes sense that if all of those things are true, the only way we grow our business is if we make room for the tasks and the activities necessary to hit that long term vision. I think so many of us focus on the end game, where we want to go, how much money we want to make, that we forget about all the work in between. And there's nothing wrong with that. Honestly, the journey is the fun part. To me that work is how I get to show up. There is ways to make that work exciting and fulfilling and allow you to make a greater impact. But you have to make room for what is necessary. I'll give you the tools, but it requires that you do the work. Fundamental truth. Your message won't resonate with Everyone. And that is okay. Now, I have a feeling that you understand this logically, but I'm not sure that you've actually accepted it as a fundamental truth that you've allowed yourself to fully adopt this. I'll be honest. When I started my business, I didn't care. Not that I didn't care about getting my clients results, but it mattered far less to me if they were an ideal client or the right client. I needed the money, so I took what sales I could get. And I want to be clear that sometimes making it work is part of the grind because we all got to pay our bills, we all got to take the steps necessary to hit those goals. It's tempting to cast that wide net, especially when you're starting out. But the truth is, trying to appeal to everyone often results in watered down messaging that doesn't really connect with anyone. Your brand's strength lies in its uniqueness. You being unapologetically clear about who you are and what you stand for will naturally attract clients who share those values and repel those who don't. Now let me give you a tangible example. It would be very easy for me as someone who educates small business owners and talks about business growth and talks about sustainable income to get this super high level focus on financial freedom and making more money. And it's not to say that I don't talk about those things, I absolutely do. But I also get way more clear on what that path looks like. When I talk about building sustainability, I talk about the lack of the passive income that everyone talks about. And if they really want true passive income, that they have to invest outside of their business, that their business is an asset that requires active participation. I am someone who's going to sit here and tell you that I prioritize my life over my business and I want to see my clients do the same. And if you want to build a different kind of business, then I'm not for you. And that is okay. My focus on family, my focus on supporting the people I love is what makes me me. And I could hide behind this message of abundance and financial wealth and security and never really get to the root of it all. I could have never talked about growing up with two parents on disability. I could have never shared my personal experiences with health challenges. I could have hidden the fact that I have been a caregiver multiple times in my life for people I love and that that is distracting from the business I built. I could take all of that out of my messaging and I think you can see how that would water down what I'm talking about. Because I think telling those stories provides a meaning, provides clarification, allows people to see the ways I value my work. And that while my work is important, it is ultimately a means to an end. And I'm hopeful that that's true for you too. But it doesn't have to be. And if it's not, then you're not for me. And that means I'm still doing my job. Because you getting clear on who you're not for is just as important on who you are for. One more fundamental truth. And then I'm going to wrap this up. Fear and growth often go hand in hand. I don't know about you, but every time I've stepped outside of my comfort zone, fear follows me. But that is where the real growth happens. The things that scare you are often the things that lead to the most significant progress. What if you reframe discomfort? Rather than viewing discomfort as something to avoid, consider it a powerful indicator that you're on the brink of growth. Discomfort isn't a sign of weakness. It's a signal that you're pushing beyond your current limits and entering a space where real transformation can occur. And you do have to embrace that. Growth isn't just a one time event. It's a continuous journey where we keep doing the work. The more that you lean into the discomfort, the more you'll find that those once intimidating challenges become familiar and even more comfortable over time. Each step forward helps build resilience, confidence, and your ability to tackle even greater challenges. Next time you feel fear or discomfort, I want you to pause and ask yourself, what's the worst that could happen? This part is shocking. And when I realized this, this truly changed everything for me. Because more often than not, the answer is nothing. If the worst happens. More often than not, nothing happens. There is very few things in business that actually set you back beyond the time spent. Now, I'm not here to say that there hasn't been times I have made financial mistakes in my business. I absolutely have. But even when that occurred, I wasn't necessarily worse off. I was in the same place, in the same situation. And so pushing through the discomfort is actually the only way forward. What's the best that could happen? Have you ever stopped to ask yourself this? Or are you always worrying about an unforeseen future? Often you're going to find that the potential rewards far outweigh the risks. I want you to use this motivation to take the leap, knowing that growth is waiting just on the other side A couple quick things to think about if we back up to fostering that experimental mindset. What is a small experiment that you could run in your business where you could see testing something a new type of content, or trying a different marketing approach as a tool to simply get feedback rather than a pass fail metric? If you find yourself struggling with the unhealthy version of perfectionism, I want to help you get to a healthy position. But some of that means pushing through that uncomfortableness. So I want you to pick out something you've been avoiding, something that's been sitting on your list for a while but you know isn't necessarily some massive task. And I want you to set a timer or turn on some music, whatever is going to be the most helpful for you. And for just 15 minutes I want you to commit to finishing whatever stage you're at with that project, writing that email, creating that social post, setting up the tech, whatever it is. More often than not, it's a five to 15 minute task that we've been putting off for days or weeks and it's holding us down. But if we can go through this process of letting go the need for every detail and knowing every single step before we've done it, we can create momentum. And I want to see you do that in your business. And it starts by just doing before you have all the information. And my last little piece of actionable advice 1. I absolutely want you to listen to my fundamental truths and how they've helped me in my business. And I believe you accepting them as your own truths is going to make a huge difference. That said, I imagine you have a couple of truths, quote unquote of your own, that if you were to write them down and revisit them when challenges arise, they will remind you of something you likely already know. But you need the reminder to keep going. Revisiting these principles when you have some sort of self doubt that creeps in will keep you grounded and will keep you moving forward. I truly believe mindset is only step one. We have to address our thoughts, but we're only going to see progress if we take action on that. If we move forward with that information and we pursue the things that we say we want. And I developed this mindset reboot these three trainings to dive so much deeper and provide you real exercises and guidance to make these shifts second nature in your life and in your business. This episode is a must-listen for creatives, consultants, coaches, agency owners, and service providers striving to cultivate a profitable and sustainable online presence.
Abagail begins by emphasizing the importance of adopting what she terms an "experimental mindset." Actionable Takeaway: Implement small experiments in your business, such as testing a new type of content or marketing approach, to gather feedback and iterate without the fear of imperfection.
Perfectionism, often seen as a hindrance, is redefined by Abagail as a potential superpower when harnessed correctly. She distinguishes between unhealthy and healthy perfectionism, illustrating how the latter can drive sustained growth and resilience.

Actionable Takeaway: Identify aspects of your business where perfectionism is holding you back and reframe them as opportunities to take messy action, allowing you to progress without the need for flawless execution.
The final shift focuses on embracing fundamental truths that underpin successful entrepreneurship. Abagail outlines seven such truths, emphasizing consistency, targeted messaging, and the interplay between fear and growth.
