August 9, 2026 - Season 17, Episode 6 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show that was recorded on Sunday night, Alex Kozora and I start by talking about the recent transactions that the Pittsburgh Steelers have made over the course of the last several days. Alex and I then recap the overall health of the Steelers going into and coming out of the team's Saturday night practice at Latrobe Memorial High School. We discuss how and why we will need to monitor the status of WR Michael Pittman Jr. on Monday afternoon. With the last camp practice being on Saturday night, Alex and I recap that session during this Monday morning show. We go through each and every position group and discuss several different players that stood out during the team's night practice at the high school. We spend a little bit of extra time on the quarterbacks in this show with the team's first preseason game of 2026 now closing in. After recapping the Saturday night training camp practice, Alex and I finally get around to recapping what the Steelers' three coordinators had to say when they talked to the media on Friday. Brian Angelichio, Patrick Graham, and Danny Crossman all had a few interesting things to say on Friday that were worth recapping during this episode. Several Steelers' interviews surfaced on Sirius XM NFL Radio during the team's Saturday night practice, so Alex and I throw in a few quotes from a few of those throughout this show as well. This 99-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the recap above and we end things by answering a few email questions we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. August 7, 2026 - Season 17, Episode 5 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, that was recorded on Thursday night, Alex Kozora and I start by talking about the Football Night In America debut of former Pittsburgh Steelers HC Mike Tomlin ahead of the annual Hall of Fame game. The Steelers Thursday training camp included the team sustaining a few injuries to players, so we go over what we know and don't know about the statuses of OT Max Iheanachor and CB Brandin Echols. We also go over the list of players that failed to practice on Thursday. Pittsburgh signed veteran DB Israel Mukuamu on Thursday, so Alex and I discuss his addition to the roster and the possibility of him possibly making the 53-man roster after the preseason ends. On the heels of the Steelers releasing their first depth chart on Wednesday, Alex and I note a few things that did catch our attention and even though we know better to read too much into it before the preseason gets under way. After reviewing a few notable things that Steelers HC Mike McCarthy said on Thursday morning, Alex and I have a fairly lengthy discussion about ILB Payton Wilson as he heads into his third NFL season. This 68-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the recap above and we end things by answering a few email questions we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. August 5, 2026 - Season 17, Episode 4 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I start by talking about the latest set of transactions that the Pittsburgh Steelers have made. We also go over the health of the 91-man roster after six training camp practices. Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers has been in the mainstream news cycle because of several polarizing comments that he made during his recent interview on The Pat McAfee Show. We discuss the firestorm that Rodgers seems to have now restarted and if there are any concerns about it impacting the team or locker room with training camp now nearly halfway over. Rodgers has reportedly recently said that he might play some during the preseason, so we address what he had to say on the topic as well as what HC Mike McCarthy said on the possibility of his starting quarterback playing snaps during the exhibition contests slate. Alex and I discuss our thoughts on Rodgers possibly playing during the preseason and how it might impact the snaps of the other three quarterbacks on the roster should that ultimately happen. The Atlanta Falcons have now lost a key starter on defense due to a training camp season-ending injury so we discuss the impact that could have in Week 1 when they face the Steelers. The development of Steelers rookie OT Max Iheanachor seems to be one of the biggest storylines coming out of training camp with six practices now in the books, so Alex and I discuss that narrative. Later in this show, Alex and I also go over the other most notable storylines to come out of camp at this point. Alex recently wrote about his thoughts on each member of the Steelers 2026 draft class after six camp practices, so he recaps that post during this show. Former Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger made quite a prediction about the Steelers' 2026 offense and points scored this year during his recent podcast episode, so Alex and I address that later in this show. Are the Steelers currently in the market for a veteran free safety-type that can play on special teams? Should they be? Alex and I address those two questions based on recent comments made by McCarthy on the position. Alex and I also review a few notable quotes from several Steelers' players the last few days to round out this episode. This 69-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the recap above and we end things by answering a few email questions we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices.
