So I've been generating over a hundred new leads every single day, posting simple organic YouTube videos online and following this simple system. And I'm going to break the entire thing down in this video. And you can apply this whether you're just starting or you haven't posted a video yet, or maybe you're putting your marketing plan together for 2025. We're going to be covering the four steps to boost leads and sales with YouTube going into 2025. And we're going to be covering how social media and YouTube have changed and the new way to succeed. The biggest mistake that 99% of people are making on YouTube right now. Three steps for growing your business with YouTube and also how to increase the speed of your lead generation and sales. If we're just meeting, my name is Sean Cannell, wrote a book with my friend Benji called YouTube Secrets. I think it's the number one bestselling YouTube strategy book in the world. Something like 135,000 copies or something sold. But I'm most proud of our students collectively and we track this. They have generated 23.5 billion views. Following the strategies and frameworks we te and this is our YouTube business growth framework. We're going to go through the three steps and then talk about number four, which is really an accelerator for the entire thing. But first, we Kind of have to address the challenges that we're facing right now on YouTube and in social media. And one of the things that I just did was surveyed our community to see, hey, are your views on YouTube up or down or the same, or have you just not been posting? And 25% of people are experiencing their views going down right now. And so if you're feeling that you're not alone now, there's others that are prospering. And also if you're not posting videos, of course you're not gonna be getting views. But I understand, especially when you're busy, you're trying to figure out how to make good videos, the systems and the routines. And we'll subscribe for more on that because that's our mission, is to help you with YouTube. But really what we're seeing is we are seeing organic reach decline. That is true across platforms. Many platforms are prioritizing paid content. But to be clear, you can apply the strategies that we're going to be going through for organic videos, Meaning you don't have to pay for ads or anything for this to work. Number two, economic challenges. There's definitely inflation, global economic uncertainties, and different, you know, contractions happening in markets, content overload. How do you stand out right now with the increased volume of perhaps your competitors and other things that are happening on YouTube, plus just distractions. People have a lot of different things to watch. But the good news is we're going to be talking about making strategic videos that can help you overcome all of these challenges. Engagement shifts a lot of the way users engage, meaning do they still pick up the phone, do they want to talk to you? And direct messages, are they opening emails? Things like that. And then technology shifts. I mean, AI and automation are reshaping social media marketing and so getting on board with AI. In fact, I'm gonna be sharing with you a cool AI prompt you can use to accelerate this whole process in just a minute. But we recently had Gary Vaynerchuk speak at our Grow With Video Summit. And one of the things that he said that stood out to me was this particular word. He really said, the current landscape of social media requires more rigor. And I had to look it up. I was like, what does rigor mean? Well, rigor means in the context of social media, strict, thorough, and a disciplined approach. It implies a high level of attention to detail, careful planning, and consistent effort. Like, in other words, achieving success on social media today requires more than just posting content, but it demands a strategic and a meticulous approach. And so really, that's the importance of putting a game plan together for 2025. What can our strategic, more meticulous approach be to the videos we're creating, what we're doing in those videos? Which leads us to the biggest mistake that 99% of people make on YouTube. Really talking about business owners here and those that want leads and sales and have an offer is the mistake people make is chasing views is they feel like as organic reach goes down, oh, no. Like, my business has gotta go down. But that's a fallacy. Because the truth is, clients are a lot more important than clicks. Quality is a lot more important than crowds. The quality of the views that you're getting customers is more important than clout. Unless, of course, your goal is just to have clout and be famous. Faithful fans are more important than leading fame. So the mindset shift is that we're not just chasing, okay, how many subscribers and views can I get on YouTube? We're actually chasing, how can I use YouTube to. To boost my business? In particular, get leads and generate more sales? So let's break down the YouTube business framework. Step number one, get the right views. I've learned this viral is overrated. Ultimately, you don't want to chase viral. You want to aim for valuable content that resonates with your target audience. So here's what you need to know. And I have a cool AI trick for getting the right views on your videos. And you need to know two things. Number one, who is your ideal client? And number two, what are their problems and desires? See, the problem with virality is sometimes you could get a lot of views, but it doesn't lead to customers for your business. Because if a bunch of people are watching you be funny, or you posted a picture of your video of your dog or cat and it goes viral, okay, what good is that? In fact, I just posted a video recently. I got 5.2 million views on Instagram. It actually only led to like a thousand followers. And it didn't lead to any business. It was because it was kind of a funny thing that happened on stage at one of our events. So I can tell you as a fact, I just got 5 million views on a post. And viral is overrated. What's better is to make the right videos that get the right views. And so if you can define your ideal client and what their desires and problems are, then head over to AI and let me give you a couple prompts that you could try. So here's an example that I did. What are five YouTube video ideas that would attract coaches that want to generate leads online. So check this out. ChatGPT said how to attract high ticket coaching clients with YouTube a step by step guide. The perfect YouTube funnel for coaches to turn views into leads. The five must have tools for coaches to generate leads using YouTube. Do you see the power of this? And by the way, these are not going to be viral videos, but now we're making videos that are actually going to attract your core audience, more important, your ideal customer. So here's another example I could do. What are five video ideas for business owners who want to build their personal brand? So what you need to know is that ideal audience as well as the desire that they want to achieve or the pain that they want to avoid or get away from. Here's a couple ideas from AI and I want let me know. Try this out and tell me in the comments what it comes up with for you. So how to build your personal brand from scratch as a business owner. Five ways to leverage your personal brand to grow your business. Now one other one for you. Because these were desires. Business owners want to build their personal brand. Coaches, course creators. They want to get more leads and more customers. But how about five? Give me five YouTube video ideas for entrepreneurs who want to create content but feel overwhelmed and busy. That's more of the pain point side of things. So let's see what ideas it comes up with. Here are five YouTube video ideas for entrepreneurs who want to create content but feel overwhelmed. How busy entrepreneurs can create quality YouTube content in just one hour a week. It's a great video idea. I'm gonna don't be surprised if that comes out in a few weeks. Here on Think Media, the five best tools for entrepreneurs to streamline content creation. Content creation hacks for entrepreneurs. How to stay consistent without burnout. So I want to encourage you insert your ideal client and either their desires or their problems and pain points and start making better videos so that you don't just get views, but you get the right views. Which brings us to step number two. Get leads from your videos. When you make these videos, you're not just trying to get views. What you want to make sure you're doing in the videos is giving people a chance to go to the next level with you, to go deeper with you. So make it easy for viewers to connect with you by providing clear calls to action and invite your viewers to take the next step. Maybe that's visit your website, maybe that's scheduling a call. Maybe that's giving you their contact information in exchange for Premium content. And one of the things these are called is a lead magnet or a freebie or a freemium. And you could screenshot this or rewind the video because there's so many different things you could give away, which would be free premium content that people will give you their email or their phone number in order to. So you could follow up with them, but also so that the relationship goes deeper. And you're not just getting views now, you're actually generating leads. Which brings us to step number three, which is generate sales. And the goal here is to optimize your sales process to convert leads into loyal customers. And this one breaks my heart because a lot of times sometimes what's broken for business owners is actually not their social media strategy, although I know that we all want more views and more subscribers and more followers. But one of the things you may need to fix is your sales process. How effective is your follow up? How effective is your lead capture process? And then how are you following up afterward in terms of messaging and touch points and email or text and all of those other things, Right? So ultimately you want to optimize this process of getting views, the right views that then attracts the right leads into your business and that ultimately leads into an optimized sales process. Or maybe you need to build a solid sales process in the first place. And we're gonna talk about the fourth step, which is an accelerator for all of this in just a second second. But if you do want to go deeper into some of this stuff, I'm actually hosting an event in person with not just myself, but our Think Media coaches in Las Vegas. It's coming up in October and it's going to be power packed. We're going to be talking about actually the no funnel strategy. So how you can skip step two and three basically and start generating more sales in your business. We're going to be talking about ultimately some of the best AI tools for creating content in a much easier way and all of the necessary elements for that first part of not just getting the right views, but how do you make videos, gear, creating content, you know, getting confident on camera. So anyways, it's not for everybody, but if you're interested, you could go to getleadswithvideo.com and learn a little bit more about this in person event or the next one. This is limited seats available and this is for established business owners that you have an offer that's converting or you're a course creator or coach and you know you need leads right now and you want to really dial in your marketing strategy for 2025, this event will be something that you absolutely love. And you can check out a link in the description or go to getleadswithvideo.com but let's talk about number four. And number four is the accelerator for all of this. Because if you use these three steps, you're gonna get great results. But it might be a little bit slow if you want to accelerate it. Here's the accelerator. It's trust. Trust. Now, why is trust so important? Well, a couple of things. Consumer skepticism. Right now with online scams and data breaches and misinformation, people are just more cautious than ever before. So the more trust you have is going to counteract the skepticism of people that are finding your content on YouTube or finding you online. Trust overcomes that. Also brand loyalty and reputation. Trust fosters long term customer relationships. And especially in economic recession and things like that. There needs to be a higher degree of trust for also conversion. Influencing conversion is another thing that trust will accelerate. And then social proof and reviews. When you can actually get people results in advance in your YouTube videos and give them really valuable content, and when people can also see the results you get for others, that's going to accelerate trust. So your reputation builds, you're going to get even more views. Your reputation builds as you build trust. And I'm going to give you a formula for this in just a second. More leads and then ultimately more sales. And so here's the formula. Ultimately, trust is built by consistency plus value multiplied by time. And so what's cool about our YouTube business framework is you can implement it and start getting views and leads and sales right away. But sometimes it takes a while for the flywheel of momentum to pick up because it needs consistency. You consistently posting videos, but you also consistently showing up so that you become more recognizable in the marketplace. When people, they might not take action the first time they see a video from you, or even the fifth or tenth time, but your consistency plus the value that you keep bringing in every successive video multiplied by time. It's like we get to date for a while, we get to hang out for a while. Now I'm ready to get engaged, man. Eventually I'm ready to pop the question, let's get married, let's do business together. Because there has been consistency plus value multiplied over time, ultimately leading to trust. And right now, with the environment of how the world is right now, trust is more important than ever. So as we go into 2025, right now is the best time to start making the right videos so you can get the right views. It's the best time to be creating high value lead magnets. The best time to fix and improve your sales process. But then ultimately it's the best time to be building a trust based community so that you can recession proof your business with this YouTube strategy. And by the way, if you like this video, Smash like and YouTube thinks you'll like this other video that's on screen. So let me know if you enjoy that one. Leave a comment on that one for some more value. My name is Sean Cannell, your guide to building a profitable YouTube channel and I can't wait to connect with you in the future video.

In Episode 390 of The Think Media Podcast, host Sean Cannell delves into innovative strategies for generating free leads from YouTube in 2025. Cannell emphasizes the evolving landscape of social media, the critical shift from chasing viral views to targeting quality leads, and the pivotal role of trust in accelerating business growth.
Sean opens the discussion by addressing the current challenges faced by content creators on YouTube and other social platforms:
Declining Organic Reach:
Timestamp [01:15] – "We are seeing organic reach decline. That is true across platforms. Many platforms are prioritizing paid content."
Cannell highlights that despite the decrease in organic reach, it's still possible to succeed without heavy investments in advertising.
Economic Challenges:
Timestamp [01:30] – "There's definitely inflation, global economic uncertainties, and different contractions happening in markets."
These factors contribute to a competitive environment where standing out requires strategic content creation.
Content Overload and Competition:
With an increase in content volume, differentiating one's videos becomes crucial. Cannell advises focusing on strategic videos that address specific audience needs to overcome the saturation.
Engagement Shifts:
Timestamp [02:00] – "Engagement shifts a lot the way users engage, meaning do they still pick up the phone, do they want to talk to you?"
Understanding how audience engagement evolves is essential for tailoring content that resonates and encourages interaction.
Technological Advancements – AI and Automation:
Timestamp [02:15] – "AI and automation are reshaping social media marketing."
Incorporating AI tools can streamline content creation and enhance targeting strategies.
Cannell references insights from Gary Vaynerchuk, emphasizing that success on social media now requires "more rigor," defined as a "strict, thorough, and disciplined approach" (Timestamp [02:30]). This underscores the necessity of meticulous planning and consistent effort in content strategy.
One of the pivotal points Cannell makes is the common mistake many business owners make on YouTube:
Chasing Views Instead of Targeted Leads:
Timestamp [03:00] – "The biggest mistake that 99% of people make on YouTube is chasing views."
Rather than focusing on the number of views, the emphasis should be on attracting the right audience that can convert into leads and customers.
Quality Over Virality:
Timestamp [03:15] – "Quality is a lot more important than crowds. The quality of the views that you're getting customers is more important than clout."
Cannell illustrates this with a personal anecdote about a viral Instagram post that garnered millions of views but yielded minimal business engagement.
Mindset Shift:
Transitioning from a view-centric approach to a lead-centric strategy is essential. The goal should be to leverage YouTube to "boost [your] business," focusing on lead generation and sales rather than mere visibility.
Cannell introduces a four-step framework designed to optimize YouTube for business growth:
Define Your Ideal Client:
Understanding who your target audience is, including their problems and desires, is foundational. This ensures that your content resonates with those most likely to convert.
Utilize AI for Content Ideation:
Timestamp [04:00] – "I have a cool AI trick for getting the right views on your videos."
By leveraging AI tools like ChatGPT, creators can generate video ideas tailored to their ideal clients. For example:
For coaches wanting to generate leads:
For business owners building personal brands:
For entrepreneurs overwhelmed by content creation:
Timestamp [05:30] – "If you can define your ideal client and what their desires and problems are, then head over to AI and let me give you a couple prompts that you could try."
These targeted video ideas ensure that the content attracts viewers who are more likely to be interested in your offerings, thereby generating quality leads.
Clear Calls to Action (CTAs):
Encourage viewers to take the next step, whether it's visiting your website, scheduling a call, or providing contact information in exchange for premium content.
Lead Magnets:
Offering valuable freebies or premium content incentivizes viewers to share their contact details, facilitating deeper engagement and lead generation.
Timestamp [06:30] – "You could screenshot this or rewind the video because there's so many different things you could give away, which would be free premium content that people will give you their email or their phone number."
Optimize the Sales Process:
It's not just about capturing leads but effectively converting them into loyal customers. This involves refining the follow-up process, lead capture mechanisms, and overall sales strategies.
Timestamp [07:15] – "How effective is your follow up? How effective is your lead capture process?"
Cannell emphasizes that a robust sales process is crucial for turning the leads generated from YouTube into tangible sales, advocating for a seamless integration between content and sales strategies.
Importance of Trust:
Trust acts as an accelerator in the framework, enhancing consumer confidence and fostering long-term relationships.
Timestamp [08:00] – "Trust overcomes consumer skepticism, especially with the current landscape of online scams and data breaches."
Components of Trust:
Timestamp [08:45] – "Trust is built by consistency plus value multiplied by time."
Formula for Trust:
Cannell presents a straightforward formula:
Trust = (Consistency + Value) × Time
This formula illustrates that sustained effort in providing valuable content over time solidifies trust, ultimately leading to increased leads and sales.
While primarily focused on the framework, Cannell briefly mentions an upcoming in-person event in Las Vegas tailored for established business owners, coaches, and course creators aiming to refine their YouTube strategies. The event promises deep dives into:
No Funnel Strategy:
Techniques to bypass traditional funnel steps and directly generate more sales.
Advanced AI Tools:

Building Confidence on Camera:
Practical tips for enhancing on-camera presence to better connect with audiences.
Timestamp [09:30] – "We're going to be talking about the no funnel strategy... how you can skip step two and three basically and start generating more sales in your business."
While this section borders on promotional content, it ties into the overall theme of strategically enhancing YouTube efforts to drive business growth.
Sean wraps up the episode by reinforcing the importance of a strategic, trust-based approach to YouTube marketing:
Actionable Steps:
By implementing the four-step framework—targeting the right views, generating leads, optimizing sales, and building trust—businesses can effectively harness YouTube's potential for growth.
Emphasis on Today’s Environment:
Timestamp [10:15] – "It's the best time to be building a trust-based community so that you can recession-proof your business with this YouTube strategy."

He encourages listeners to engage with the content, share their experiences, and implement the strategies discussed to see tangible improvements in their YouTube-driven business endeavors.
