Tony Kennett, Host of the Tony Kennett Cast let's get down to business. You're listening to the Tony Kennett cast on 93WYPCYTV here on the Daily Signal. Good evening and welcome to the Tony Kennett cast here on the Daily Signal nationally syndrome on 93 WIBC normally out of Indianapolis tonight from Washington, D.C. with a bit of breaking news from right here in the backyard. Adriana D. Coogler, one of the governors on the Board of Governors over at the Federal Reserve, has resigned. Adriana D. Coogler, a registered Democrat, has resigned from the Federal Reserve Governor's Board. President Biden appointed her in September 2023 to fill an unexpired term which is set to end January 31, 2026. So normally those Federal Reserve Board of Governor positions, those are a bit longer, I think like 14 years typically, whereas the Federal Reserve Chairman's term in this case Powell, is up in May of 2026 and those are four year terms. Both of these are of course, confirmed by the Senate. Now there are a lot of speculative comments right now across social media because it is fairly big news when an individual, especially on the Federal Reserve Board of Governors who was appointed by the previous administration, much less during a point of some pretty big consternation, you might say. Some friction between the Federal Reserve and the President of the United States has been the subject of much discussion over the last couple of weeks and months. A kind of resignation like this throws up a lot of flags. So I'm going to read the letter of resignation for you here and then we're going to get into a couple of things that those on social media who are busy telling you they've got the inside track are missing at the moment. So from the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, this from Adriana Kruegler Coogler, excuse me. Dear President Trump, I am writing to notify you that I am resigning from my position as a governor of the Federal reserve board effective August 8, 2025. It has been an honor of a lifetime to serve on the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. I am especially honored to have served during a critical time in achieving our dual mandate of bringing down prices and keeping a strong and resilient labor market. Federal Reserve does important work to help foster a healthy economy. Debatable. And it has been a privilege to work towards that goal on behalf of all Americans. Debatable. For nearly two years. I am proud to have tackled this role with integrity, a strong commitment to serving the public and with a data driven approach strongly based on my expertise in labor markets and inflation. Now, what is her expertise in labor markets and inflation? She's a professor of public policy and economics and at one time was a vice provost for faculty over at Georgetown, which is at least according to producer Daniel, who's been doing all of the research on planet Earth. When big situations like these arise, this is where she's headed back to. Now, I will point out just a couple of things here. First, I have to read the end of her letter because it does in fact apply to the rest of this. I will always be proud of the important work I've accomplished as a Federal Reserve governor. I want to thank my colleagues on the board, the president at the Federal Reserve, banks, the academy. I'm just kidding, not the academy. And the team of dedicated public servants. Debatable. Who work daily to ensure the health and stability of the U.S. economy and financial system. Again, debatable. I also want to thank Chair Powell for his unwavering commitment to the Federal Reserve and the American people. Okay, now given what we know about Chairman Jerome Powell, that's just not true. During the Biden administration, Powell artificially encouraged governors to artificially raise and lower interest rates as necessary. In Biden's case, to lower interest rates during election season to make Biden look better. That is an undeniable fact. There was no reason, according to the history of the Federal Reserve System, that the interest rates should have been dropped during the presidential election season other than the Federal Reserve often drops a certain interest rate for particular candidates in political election season. So what is this mean, you know, is this some kind of a Trump feud? Is this something very serious right now? We do not know. With an asterisk, there are those saying, ah, see this is Trump's got the Board of Governors running scared because now it is up to President Trump to nominate a new governor to serve in this previous position, which would then have to go through the Senate confirmation process. Which can we just asked Our political editor, Bradley Devlin, that can be pushed to the front because there's a long line of people to be nominated and confirmed. They've been nominated. Now it's time for them to be confirmed. They're on the executive calendar. So what happens? Trump will nominate someone to financial committee. The Senate Financial Committee will then pass them out, they'll put them on the executive calendar, and then someone in the Senate, whomever they may be, can make a motion and say, Mr. President, I say we move them to tomorrow, and then someone seconds the motion and then they all vote to proceed. That's that procedural vote, vote to proceed thing. Yeah. And then the Senate will confirm, you know, that particular member of the Board of Governors for the Federal Reserve. Here's the thing. It doesn't appear, from what we know now that could change that this is something related to President Trump. If it is, then it's been in the brew for a couple of weeks. Not related to, from what we can see, the vote, yes or the vote two days ago for the Federal Reserve maintaining interest rates at their current level. So how do you know this, Tony? Well, According to the 2pm press release, which is always released around 2pm on, in this case, July 30, every time the Federal Reserve Board of Governors vote to raise lower Wiggly worm, the interest rates always comes out at 2pm and it says voting for keeping the interest rates where they are were Jerome Powell, John Williams, not that one, Michael Barr, Susan Collins, Lisa Cook, Austan Goolsbee, Philip Jefferson, Alberto Museum, Jeffrey Schmid. Voting against the action again, first time since 1993 we had this kind of dissent were Michelle Bowman and Christopher Waller. Both of those Trump appointees, by the way, absent and not voting was Adriana D. Coogler. So she wasn't there, according to the article, for, quote, personal reasons, end quote. So there's not really a lot of evidence here that suggests that she is leaving because of this particular vote. Can it be related to some friction in the last couple of weeks? Yes. There have been rumors that there might be members of the Federal Reserve that have considered resigning. The Board of Governors for the Federal Reserve has a lot of different people on these particular boards. This includes 12 voting members of the FOMC, which is the Federal Open Market Committee. That's seven governors who get to vote on the raising or lowering of interest rate policy. So this committee, every year there's like a set committee, there's some alternate members. Aside from all of that, though, a individual resigning from the Federal Reserve Board of Governors is A pretty big piece of news. That is that as a pretty big piece of piece of news, because I guarantee you, whoever the Trump administration nominates to fulfill that position, yeah, that's, that's going to be a very bad day in the media for them because I'm sure they will be called the most stinky, corrupt, evil, horrible, terrible person of all time. And that brings us to the real thing that Americans see as the stinky, most terrible, horrible thing of all time. And according to polls, it's the Democrats. No, really, Democrats are in the basement. They have actually hit the, what's called the feasible bottom of polling. So the feasible bottom of polling is this. You will always have some Republicans, no matter what, who say, I like Republicans. You will always have some Democrats, no matter what, who say, I like Democrats. And you will always have some Libertarians, no matter what, who just hate everyone, Ron Swanson style. So the feasible bottom is how low can Trump truly sink in the ratings before there's really nowhere else to sink? Or how far can he climb in the ratings until there's nowhere else to go? Because Democrats, a fraction of them, will always hate Trump. Or the way that Americans view different political parties, their faith in particular parties. Democrats have bottomed out, actually bottomed out. Democrats are never really going to hit a 0% approval rating by Americans. There's just too many party faithfuls for that to happen. And also too many dead people in Chicago still voting. But there is a series of polls, or I should say there are a series of polls, which have shown over the last couple of months that Democrats are so far into the basement that it's starting to look unlikely. Again, early polling, we're not even to the main midterm season yet, but it's starting to look like the midterms might put a lot of Democrats purple seats in jeopardy, which is unheard of in the midterms. Here's Harry Enton on CNN going into these three bombshell polls for the Democrats.
Harry Enton
Democrats at this point are historically divided. It is a complete and utter mess. It is messier than a hoarder's basement. What are we talking about here? The national early poll leader, 25% plus. Normally, that's where Democrats are. Biden was at 25% plus in 2020. Hillary Clinton was in 08 and 16. Gore was in 0 and 04. At this particular point, there is no one, no one in the Democratic race for president who's polling at 25% plus. The water is quite warm. If you're a Democrat potentially thinking about running in 2028. Jump right in. Because at this point there is no front runner.
Adriana D. Coogler
Is that what do you think? Is that because how people view the Democratic Party right now? She has no idea how to answer that. So first of all, Harry Enton, like Scott Jennings over on CNN also when you know our Virginia Allen and Rob Louie go on CNN are the only lights in a very dark, dark, sad, confused network which, you know, pretty much removes any chance that I have of going on cnn. But somehow I'll press on. The CNN crew does not understand why Americans simply do not view any Democrats favorably moving forward. Harry Anton, though, like Nate Silver, again, not on the right, but with a pretty good grip on numbers and enough common sense to at least read the room. He's got it. Is that contributing to this?
Harry Enton
Yeah, I think that that is in large part of what's going on is one of the reasons why there is no front runner. Nobody wants to put anybody up at the top of their ballot list is because at this particular point, the Democratic brand is in the basement. It is total and complete garbage in the mind of the American public.
Adriana D. Coogler
Look at those polls. My goodness, my word.
Harry Enton
The Democratic Party's net favor rating record lows in all three. Wall Street Journal, 30 points underwater. CNN, 26 points underwater. Gallup, 26 points underwater. And that is being driven in large part by discontent within the Democratic base. The Democratic base wants something different, will ultimately end up seeing, seeing who they choose.
Adriana D. Coogler
Here's the secret. Seriously, here is the real thing no one's talking about regarding the midterms. It's like, well, you know, Democrats say they're really enthusiastic about getting out to vote. Here's the catch about elections. Incumbents, those who are in office and are running for reelection, have a stronger likelihood of getting the votes. They have an established system. People know them the devil you know better than the devil that you don't. Incumbents have a massive strength heading into the election season. The discontent right now in America comes from two places for the Democrats. Number one, it comes from independents who despise Democrat policies and number two, it comes from Republicans and independents and Democrats who despise the current people in power. So what does this mean? Well, folks, if you put a new Republican that isn't currently in the seat and say a purple district up against a new Democrat because of the primary process, someone more radical, that means it is far more likely you're going to see a Republican eke out of victory. All of these districts in midterms that are usually not in play if A Democrat incumbent runs. Now here you go. By the way, this is why you see all the politicos freaking out when Democrats go after people like Chuck Schumer and established Democrats. That's why the Democrats freaked out when David Hogg came in as the vice chair and said get rid of everybody. That's a problem. That's a major, major problem because incumbents have a much easier time winning elections. They've done it before. So let's talk about these two issues in specific because it really does matter. The Democrat brand is not just in the basement here, by the way. According to polls, voter registration changes are forget like a warning siren here at this point it's like the lighthouse that the ship is cruising towards at full speed, lights on, horns on, saying please don't crash into the coast. That's the warning right now to the Democrats. Now not all states and commonwealths have register bipartisan registration. They don't all have those. But in the states that do. In New Jersey, In New Jersey, August 2025 change from July 1651 Republicans registered to vote. 2,401 Democrats disappeared in registration. So the Democrats are down 2,400 vote or voters. In New Jersey, Republicans are up 1600. In Florida, Republicans are up 928. From July, Democrats are down 10,402. There is nothing at all purple about Florida, nothing. Kentucky, where Trump did really well. But again, you have Democrat governors and some Democrat officials in the state that get a little bit of oomph. Republicans gained 630 in July, Democrats lost 1,524. In New Mexico, Republicans gained 1273. Democrats gained 662. Here's the brutal number in Pennsylvania, Scott Pressler's territory here in 2008, Democrats had 1,000 or excuse me, Democrats had 1,236,000 more registered voters than Republicans did in 2012, 1.1 million more than Republicans in 2016, 916,000 more voters than Republicans did right now in 2025 where we currently are, Democrats only have a lead on Republicans of 58,530. Pennsylvania is cruising straight to a flip. And there's a couple of key reasons for this. We already talked about this. Number one, Democrats have horrible, horrible, horrible unpopular policies and people. And this boils down to a bunch of predictions that just didn't pan out. Democrats, Trump got into office. Remember the first term Democrats promised the world would end and then nothing ended. Now turning around through this particular Trump administration, what have you been promised by the Democrats that didn't end up, panning out. The economy was going to crash. We were all going to die. Didn't happen. Trump wasn't going to be able to cut any day deals. We were going to alienate all of our allies and NATO was going to dissolve and Russia was going to take over the world. That didn't happen. We're promised World War three was gonna occur. That didn't happen. We were promised the Iranian stuff was gonna go terribly. That didn't happen. We were promised that Trump wouldn't be able to secure the border, that he just wanted power and that you needed laws to pass it. That didn't happen. We were told that Doge was gonna end up being awful. That didn't happen. We were told the big beautiful bill wasn't gonna pass. That didn't happen. We were told that Speaker Johnson's majority wasn't gonna hold. The Republican Party was gonna fracture and split apart. That didn't happen. We were told that the Supreme Court was gonna fracture in different ways and that Trump was gonna get slapped by him. Didn't happen. And now we are in the exact same place. With the predictions made about tariffs, Kevin o', Leary, famous of the Shark Tank Sharks, essentially reached back and slapped all of the folks over at, you guessed it, CNN over the Democrats. Consistent incorrectness about Trump's marketing strategies and economic leverage strategies like tariffs.
Tom Homan
I disagree with all of that. This is so simple. Let me lay it out. You go to Europe, you take an American product to sell it in Italy, they whack a 13 to 50% that tax, consumer tax, and you go to the airport, you get your money back. Of which 1% people do. Same in Canada, same Mexico, England, Switzerland, all the same. All the Trump has done. Because we never had consumer taxes in the us you can't get that through Congress. He calls it a tariff reciprocal. And kind of the highlight deal right now is the EU 26 cats being herded, and Germany and France are a little, for lack of better words, pissed off. But what he did is he whacked them with a reciprocal 15% VAT tax in the US you ship something over here from Europe, you pay the same thing, they whack an American product. But it's not that complicated as a market because, listen, I don't give a rose rear end about, you know, politics. I care about policy, I have to invest. The market has absorbed this idea. And GM came out last week and said, okay, I get it, our margins are down on car part tariffs, but we think we'll eat a third, we'll Push a third out on price increases and we'll use AI to solve the other third.
Adriana D. Coogler
No one's, oh, gee. And she's going to try to, she's going to try to grab onto that and say, I see price increases from tariffs. Here's the deal about tariffs that everyone is missing. Everyone is pretending that there is only one place on planet Earth to get. Pick a random, a random fruit. Avocados. There's only one place on Earth to get avocados. Oh, no. If we don't get avocados from this one particular foreign place, then, oh man, Americans are just gonna, they're gonna spend all of this money a month. They're gonna be poor at the grocery store because they're not able to afford $30 avocados from Mexico. Well, here's what happens when Americans see those types of prices. They just don't eat avocados or they buy the avocados that are there from California or wherever else the United States is able to domestically grow or leverage because the free market moves things and Americans end up either eating something else or Americans don't spend the money on avocados. There are very, very, very, very, very few goods that are crucial to import to the United States in a way that would crash the US Economy if we were not getting certain car parts from Europe. And by the way, that's one of the points that Kevin made. You can make the. Oh, the price increases are up here. Okay, yeah, that's true. You know what? There can be price increases on this one particular item that is not a staple in the United States. And in the meantime, the companies that are outside of the United States are reshoring to America. Now, is it going to be fast enough to hear in like two months, boom, everything's being made here? No. And by the way, are tariffs a great long term economic policy still? The answer to that is objectively no. But as economic leverage, the markets have factored in what Trump is doing. And while again, the total and eternal judge is still out on whether or not tariffs in their final form here on August 7th, if there aren't any future bumps made, there's still some negotiation happening. If those particular tariffs are factored into the economy already and we see a slight bump of inflation and that's it, then it appears that all of the fear mongering was for nothing. Nothing at all. And the Democrats, to add insult to this injury, they're still digging. They are still digging. It is bizarre to see a party that is losing voter registrants that now you're seeing midterm districts that are in play for like the first time in decades when the Republican Party, by the way, has already learned the difference between running good and candidates. And the Trump administration is at least, if not doing everything superbly is at least proving the end of the world fear mongering on every single level. Incorrect. So what are the Democrats doing in response that you would think there would be soul searching. You would think that the moderate candidate might come up with. Are we seeing that? Absolutely not. What are we seeing instead? Well, the Democrats have decided not only to go against Immigration Customs Enforcement and one of Trump's most popular policies on immigration all the way, but now we actually see state governments for Democrats going after police officers who work with federal officials. Right now Colorado is going after even more police officers who dare to share legal information with federal law enforcement. Well, tonight we have the latest updates.
Robbie Patla
Regarding the Utah student who was detained by ICE in Mesa county last month. Reporter Robbie Patla joins us live in.
Adriana D. Coogler
Studio tonight with the latest details. Robbie? Yeah.
Hannah
Thank you, Hannah. So 19 year old Caroline Goncalves was pulled over by a Sheriff's deputy on June 5. Her information was shared with immigration officials in a group chat. Now, over the last few months, an internal investigation was conducted into the deputy who performed the traffic stop and other officers in said chat. The details of that investigation were released today.
Adriana D. Coogler
Now, by the way, boys, girls and squirrels, something should be a little bit off here to you. Something should be a little bit off here to you because this individual was detained. So let's see if you can figure this out. An individual that was reported to ice. Why? Because this was not a citizen of the United States. So what is someone here who's not a citizen who may or who if they're an illegal immigrant, why are they driving around? Driving where? I just, just to check this here producer Nick and Daniel, is it legal to give an illegal immigrant a driver's license in the state of Colorado? I know the rules for Wisconsin and several other different states and I know that Tim Walls in August of 2024 signed a law that gave certain kinds of driving permits to illegal immigrants. But as for Colorado, well, I'm not particularly sure we'll let the story progress here because something is very bad. Sniff test in the water.
Deputy Alexander Zwink
Your actions have discredited the Mexican sheriff's office by acting outside of our standard operating practices and culture.
Hannah
That was a recording from Deputy Alexander Zwink's disciplinary determination from July 25th. Deputy Zwink pulled over Caroline Goncalves after she drove too close to a semi on on June 5. During the stop, he collected her documentation and sent information to other law enforcement officials.
Tom Homan
I took a photo of her driver's license or what I thought was her driver's license, sent that out in a signal chat group.
Hannah
The group chat was formed on an app called Signal which allows people to send.
Adriana D. Coogler
All right, now they're going to get into all of this, this stuff about them, you know, talking about the group chat, the amazing investigatory work that took place. So according to the Colorado Road Community Safety act, Senate Bill 13 dash 2:51, yes, in fact, the state of Colorado can issue a driver's license and identification card to a non citizen resident of Colorado who cannot provide proof of lawful presence in the United States, which is a very serious voting concern by the way. But in the case of Colorado, there is no law on the federal docket that we can find at all. We've talked about this with other states that allows attorneys general of various states and commonwealths to forbid officers from sending certain information to federal agents. And now going after various officers in the state of Colorado for working with ice. I, I gotta tell you that that ain't gonna fly. Americans do not like it when police officers are targeted for keeping their communities safe. What else they're doing? Los Angeles is now trying very desperately to make masks illegal for Immigration Customs Enforcement agents who are constantly hit with doxxing and death threats, not to mention attempted murder. Trying to make it now illegal in Los Angeles for ICE agents to wear masks. The LA County Board of Supervisors approved a motion that could eventually prevent federal agents from wearing masks in parts of the county. Motion carries now goes to county attorneys to draft up a rule to be voted on if you're going to come into LA county and interact with our public. I love the Karen supreme here. If you're going to come into Los Angeles and talk to the Angelinos, then I'm going to talk to your manager. They have a right to know who you are. Wait a minute. Have a right to know who you are? I'm sorry, what about all of the protests and the riots in which people wore masks and keas, where was all of this during the COVID riots and not to mention the antifa riots that parts of California are plagued with. Oh, this only APPL applies to federal law enforcement with clear federal law enforcement identification on their person. Ah, I see. Supervisor Janice Han spearheaded the effort. One of her biggest concerns, public safety. We're having problems with imposters. So if everybody is Wearing a mask. We do have criminals who are out there who are, you know, could dress up as agents, CBS News has confirmed. And doing what? I've listened to the rest of it. And doing what? Like just showing up like I'm from ice. Come with me. Uh huh. Yeah. Okay. All right. Okie dokie. Now, Tom Holman did have a response to this that was particularly good. I want you guys to hear it.
Robbie Patla
We're honored to have a few minutes here with Borders, our Tom Homan. Tom, thank you so much for being here with us. I want to get your opinion on something that just came out of LA County. Its board of Supervisors just voted unanimously to draft a new ordinance prohibiting immigration officers and federal agents from wearing masks when doing their jobs except for carrying out any sort of medical procedures. What's your reaction to this?
Deputy Alexander Zwink
Good luck with that. Yeah, we're going to keep doing what we're doing. Did they propose any sort of rule on unmasking antifa or unmasking the protesters that turn violent in la? That attack attacked our ICE officers, assaulted ICE officers that, that ruined, that destroyed millions of dollars in federal property, that attacked, attacked LAPD and the LA county sheriffs. How about the, the man that threw a Molotov cocktail on the officers which is a deadly issue. Any rules on that? Of course not. Doesn't appear to be politics over public safety.
Robbie Patla
And to that point on anti.
Adriana D. Coogler
Now there is something that I do think is, is useful to note here about some of these cases. The individual in Colorado that everyone made a really big deal about, you know, because, oh, that horrible deputy that shared information with ice. The individual wasn't even deported. She was released because she's a dreamer. Additionally, the huge number of. Oh, and we got, we can't have anybody wearing masks because people are impersonating ICE officials and officers. I'm sorry, how does not wearing a mask protect against that? Tell me how, how does that, how. What do you like roll up and say, hey, I'm totally with ice? And they say I can see your nostrils. And, and as everyone knows, those nostril reading psychics out there can just tell if someone's a member of ICE by the shape of their nostril? That doesn't make any sense whatsoever. And there have been less than, at least as far as what I'm seeing, very, very few cases so far of people impersonating ICE officers and only a couple of cases of this happening anywhere near or reports of this happening anywhere near Los Angeles. So speaking of mountains out of molehills in this Case. The Democrats are also continuing to defend a group of individuals in the United States. The, the radical Muslim crew in their endless pursuit of doing anything at all, anything at all to enable those who don't like Jews for a living. There is a crew who, and I want to make sure we get this, this correct here in Washington State, two Iraqis were arrested for trying to honor kill their teen daughter. They were just found not guilty of attempted murder. Not guilty of attempted murder. So we do have the clip ready here it is. Just, you know, be advised, while this is blurred out and we do have some blurring, both that and also censoring some of the, the cursing in the audio here, it is still a pretty disturbing, pretty disturbing clip. Let's, let's roll here. I think that's cl. Get off. Get the, get the cops.
Kamala Harris
Call the cops.
Adriana D. Coogler
By the way, these are the people that Jasmine Crockett thinks will be de radicalized if they watch a rocky Sesame Street. That's not a joke. That is 100% what Jasmine Crockett from Dallas has said repeatedly on the matter. Radical Islamic allyship with the left has become a significant issue. And it's no surprise that in Washington State, the father was only convicted of assault and unlawful imprisonment and the mother was only found guilty of violating a court order. So as a reminder, what you saw in the footage or if you're listening to the podcast, what occurred. The father was strangling his, his daughter until she was unconscious while students tried to free her, while the mother, according to eyewitnesses, attempted to, quote, finish the job, end quote, after the dad was finally subdued. I'm sorry, strangulation? What is this? The choking game from the early aughts? No, absolutely not. That's attempted murder. And as long as these blue states continue to allow this kind of garbage to persist. Well, I mean, hey, I, I, I cannot believe that the Democrats think this is the thing to lean into at the present time. Not only are there instances of really bad policy again, we felt there's a lot of illegal immigrant violence that's also occurring. Those who have escaped from detainment are also attempting to kill ICE agents in Colorado. We're going to have to move on from that now, because the real question is, well, you know, if the policies and proposals are really unpopular, what, what, what's the other aspect of the Democrat Party? Why are they so in the basement here? Well, it's because of the leadership. The leadership of the Democrat Party is at a complete loss. What is Hakeem Jeffries doing right now, as the House Minority leader, he is whining that Texas is redistricting like every single state does. And I'm sorry, a little bit of a shocker here. In case you were just born yesterday, Republican governments often gerrymander districts by drawing congressional maps in a specific way to favor the party in power. And in blue states, the same thing happens. Open up a map of California, New York or Illinois sometimes, and you will see just as much gerrymandering. Who, as they're claiming, is in Texas. So here's Hakeem Jeffries. This is where all of the Democrats ire is focused on right now.
Harry Enton
Donald Trump has ordered Greg Abbott and compliant Texas Republicans to race back to Austin, have a special session in order to rig the congressional map and undermine the ability of Texans to have a free and fair midterm election.
Adriana D. Coogler
Nothing about, you know, again, the heavily gerrymandered, for example, Illinois. If you were to picture Illinois in your mind and lop off the bottom third of the state, one congressional district for that entire massive chunk of that state, like the bottom third, shave off just a little bit on the western edge of Illinois, gerrymandered. And now that Texas district is considering this, by the way, you have people like Alex Padilla and Representative Eric Swalwell who are saying, all right, well then, fine. Well then say goodbye to all of these Republican representatives in California, which is hilarious because in California, supposedly it's an independent board that comes up with the new redistricting. So that, you know, love it when Democrats just come right out and admit that they're more than happy to gerrymander as well. This is where the Democrat strategy is. This is Hakeem Jeffrey's big fight, his angst, his anger. Who else do they got? Well, from the mouth of the most wise and qualified person to run. Kamala Harris, as she went on the most watched, incredible Truth Speaking Truth to power show in existence, Stephen Colbert's Late show, which I was told was canceled for censorship, yet is going on for another nine months. She went on the show and he asked her a question, a softball pitch question that she could not answer. Who is the leader of the Democrat Party? Nothing.
Harry Enton
You're not running for office right now. You're stepping away from that life right now. Who's leading the Democratic Party?
Adriana D. Coogler
I'm just curious.
Kamala Harris
There are lots of leaders and there's.
Harry Enton
Generally a leader of the Democratic Party.
Adriana D. Coogler
And there's lots of leaders. Please stop asking me questions. You know, like, oh, that's the leader Democratic Party. Who comes to mind the way that she responds to this is actually kind of clever. But she then ruins it.
Kamala Harris
I think there are a lot of. I'm not going to go through names because then I'm going to leave somebody out and then going to hear about it. But let me just.
Adriana D. Coogler
That's pretty clever. Now she ruins it.
Kamala Harris
It is a mistake for us who want to figure out how to get out and through this and get out of it. To put it on the shoulders of any one person. It's really on all of our shoulders. It really is.
Adriana D. Coogler
Everyone claps for her, essentially because Kamala said, right now there's way too much for one person. You can't say that because Kamala Harris struggles from being an absolute idiot. So that's not an option. And so instead she's like, I think the shoulders, the head and shoulders, the dandruff shampoo. It can't just have one person's name in the ingredients. You have to wash all over with head and Shoulders.
Harry Enton
Well, Madam Vice President, thank you so.
Adriana D. Coogler
Much for being here. Steve. Oh, that was it. Yeah. Thank you so much for being here and talking about nothing whatsoever. Yes. We'll look at your book. Kamala Harris counts to 107 by probably Kamala Harris. Really exciting stuff. The rest of the Democrat party, well, what if they don't bring on Kamala? Who do they actually shoving out in front of the people? Either they are wildly radical. Gonna get to that. The Stacey Abrams, the Zora mom, DA me's, the nutcases. And if they're not wildly radical and they're just dead. Biden still kind of almost kicking in the midst of all of his aides, except for one who didn't plead the fifth and just said that, oh, everything's fine. How dare you question Biden's mental health? I give you a demonstration of Biden's mental health. Here he was walking up to the stage at the National Bar association gala in Chicago. The man looks as though he is trying to find a dream from the night before.
Tom Homan
Joe Biden. There he is.
Adriana D. Coogler
Ben, hold on with us for just a second here.
Tom Homan
Let's listen to the applause.
Adriana D. Coogler
Such good news coverage to celebrate with him. Let's listen to the applause. Then they cut to the audio. There's, like, no applause. And you guys just like his granddaughters. And Biden has no idea where. He's just, like, wandering around, looking around. It's really, again, it's so cruel to treat him like this. Yet they continue shoving him up in front of the American people. And then Biden starts Talking. Oh boy. My friends, we need to face the hard truth of this administration and has been to ease all the gains we've made, to ease all the games we've made in my administration. To erase history rather than make it erase history rather than shake it. Okay? To erase fairness, equality to race, justice itself. And that's erase fairness, equality, justice itself. All right. Not hyperbole. That's a fact. All right. The former President of the United States, they're going to race and use the gates of irgain and then they stole my left sock. It's really sad to watch this, but again, he does bring it upon himself consistently. By the way, remember all that stuff that Biden said he was accomplishing that Trump wouldn't be able to undo? Now he's undoing it. All of a sudden. The American people do in fact have a memory that is longer than your average carnival goldfish. Also learn to tie a bow tie. That was horrible. That was an awful looking knot. Look at that thing. Things where it looks. Looks like someone stapled two black post it notes to his chest. Anyway, moving on. If they don't have that, who do they have? They have Stacey Abrams. Every other Democrat in the party. Right now is just a different emotion of Stacy Abrams, Her Royal Majesty, the almost governor of Georgia, who they felt so bad for that they then put her in Star Trek and made her president of Earth so she could almost feel like she accomplished something. So again, the entire Democrat messaging got to come down to Stacey Abrams. If you would like to give yourself a reminder why there is no way out for them right now. Stacey Abrams.
Stacey Abrams
Meanwhile, the bill allocates more than $46.5 billion for the Republican border wall, 45 billion more to expand immigrant detention facilities without investing in due process.
Adriana D. Coogler
Yes, there is in fact investigation and due process. The due process is what the detention facilities are for. You stay there for two weeks while you have your hearing. That's what Democrats wanted. They were like, you can't just deport people who are here illegally. You gotta put em in front of at least three judges. And also you gotta wash their underwear. Do it. And so now we're doing that. And they're like, no, we met. You have to say, okay, come back to court in three weeks unless we catch you again.
Stacey Abrams
And another $30 billion to hire and trained ICE agents who have functionally become a secret federal police force with expanding domains.
Adriana D. Coogler
What in the world is expanding domains mean? I assume she means expanded jurisdictions. But domains is not the appropriate word here. Again. I know it's you know, going after Stacey Abrams on semantics is like, you know, going after Hillary Clinton for not suiciding other people.
Stacey Abrams
But that's over $120 billion in taxpayer money. And to put it into context, this.
Adriana D. Coogler
Is what other kind of money is there? What government, what money does the government have that's not taxpayer money? I mean you could say tariffs, I guess tariffs, but taxpayers do, at least you can make the case inadvertently pay for tariffs. So what other money are you talking about? 120 billion in taxpayer money and dollar in taxpayer money.
Stacey Abrams
And to put it into context, this is a budget larger than that of most militaries around the world with all of these dollars being redirected towards inhumane abductions and illegal deportations.
Adriana D. Coogler
So they are not illegal deportations. What is illegal is coming into this country illegally. There is nothing in the Constitution that says you have a right to stay here if you come illegally. Nothing at all. There is not like a, like a 15 step process on how to kiss somebody's rear end as you drive them to the border in a limousine. And I will remind you, by the way, the Trump administration is currently offering thousands of dollars if you self deport, we will give you money and a free ride out of here. That's forced abduction. You say, well, but they want to stay, Tony. Okay, well then get in the back of the immigration line. There's a line. There are people that immigrated here, by the way. This is again why they always say immigrants. Because Republicans are largely in favor of those who went through the work, the civics test, learning about our country, doing the big pledge in front of everyone. They're always very teary eyed and they hold the American flag close to their chest because it means something to them. Someone just came over the border and now starts taking SNAP and Medicare and Medicaid and a bunch of benefits and they don't pay the same taxes you and I pay, all that other stuff. Or alternatively they're working slave labor wages. Why is that? What you're presenting to the American people is like the beautiful choices here. This is why there is no coalition left for the Democrats other than the, the Los Angeles Karen. The, the angry oh, they're coming to get us progressive voter. And then the radical Islamist fool who believes that as long as you're persecuting Christians and Jews, it's totally fine. That's why Boston needs a new Muslim task force for its police department. Great. Now just before we, we head off for the evening, I do want to point out that right now the Trump administration is in. I'm not going to say hot water. What I am going to say is that the Democrats trying to put the Trump administration in hot water over the jobs numbers is, again, not remotely going to be effective. Native born versus foreign born workers in the United States. There are fewer foreign born workers in the United States this month. There are more native born workers in the United States this month. Now we can talk about the unemployment rates and we'll get to that a little bit more on Monday because of partly some of the fallout over Trump firing the Bureau of Labor statistics commissioner, Erica McEntarfer, which really on the paper looks like Mc ant farter, but that's not important. President Trump said, I was just informed that our country's jobs numbers are being produced by a Biden appointee, Dr. Erica Mc Ant Farter, the commissioner of Labor Statistics, who faked the job numbers before the election to try and boost Kamala's chances of victory. He says this is the same Bureau of Labor Statistics that overstated the jobs growth in March 2024 by approximately 818,000 and then right before the 2024 presidential election in August and September by 112,000. So what Trump has accused her of is putting up a bunch of crappy numbers because she didn't do her, she didn't do her job correctly. Her revisions were off and now she's coming forward and she's doing really shoddy work again. Trump's like, no, get out of here. You don't know how to do your jobs right. You can't even get the numbers close. You're just doing these wild guesses on whiteboards and saying these are the labor statistics. Well, that has a major impact on the US Economy. That changes the stock market. It turns out some government positions that report statistics really matter. I will remind the individual working at the national oceanic and Atmospheric Administration that not providing numbers to the American people for political reasons has very severe consequences. Now, the left is upset about this because they're claiming that because she reported Trump's unemployment rate at 4.2% and that, oh, there were some revisions that were down and oh man, that manufacturing is down a little bit here and oh, no, government jobs is down by 12,000. Oh, God forbid, you know, that Trump fires somebody. Oh, that, you know, the government jobs are down. They're making a big deal about it. Bernie Sanders, he's come to the American people and said, no, Mr. President, in America, you do not fire the head of Bureau of Labor Statistics releasing a jobs report that you don't like that's what authoritarians do. Like my buddy in Venezuela, he's a socialist. He definitely never does anything wrong. We need serious economists in these positions. The gall of an actual socialist who believes you can just print money and it's real. A socialist who believes you can just redistribute your way to market success. A man who honeymooned in the Soviet Union and believes there should be only one brand of laundry detergent or deodorant. That Bernie Sanders, who has never held a real job in his life, not even a failed rapper like Zoran Mandami. Zoran Mandami has a better career than Bernie Sanders. This man says what you need are serious economists in the positions like Bureau of Labor Statistics, not hacks who will only tell you what you want to hear. Again, coming from the man who was just on the floor of the Senate holding up a picture of a child with cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy and saying, that is a child who is suffering from starvation, cutting out the child's brother who is well fed. The man who says, not all, not only hacks, we're going to tell you what you want to hear. That man who is peddling the false New York Times story that they had to issue a correction for about starvation in Gaza. That man is trying to tell the rest of us about why or not federal government employees should be allowed to be fired if they do a crappy job. Again, I said this when Jim Banks said it's probably your fault to the individual who was fired from I can't remember what federal department, but their job was like construction justice in the jungle, probably State Department. Then when he said, yeah, it's probably your fault that you got fired. And the media said, oh, that's terrible. How could Senator Jim Banks of Indiana say that there are always people like this. They're always people at the State Department. I was called mean because they were carrying their boxes out of the State Department. Again, the same people who leak information regularly to Hamas, to Iran and put US Soldiers at risk, who undermine US Negotiations abroad constantly. There were so many times during the first Trump administration, during the Biden, the Obama administrations, in which State Department employees leaked American stuff to everybody. Everybody. You were told, oh, well, no, those government employee positions are very important when they are being shuffled out of the building carrying their by 5pm Friday boxes. The reason that I am over here singing na na na na na hey hey, hey goodbye in on Repeat is because these are the same people that have worked off of your tax dollars for year have screwed you over for years and expect you to trust them because they're the experts, even though they consistently get it wrong. Producer Daniel he's an economics man. He's getting his master of economic stuff. He's a very competent mathematician and data guy. If Daniel starts churning out crappy numbers that are based on unicorn wishes and urinal cakes, he's fired. Because the very first thing that I look for from producer Allison, producer Nick, producer Daniel or producer Lou and is competence. After that, everything else follows suit. If you're not competent, if you're not putting effort forward, you're screwing up labor statistics by hundreds of thousands of jobs a month. And my goodness gracious, why would you expect to stay at your job again as long as the Democrats continue to push, not meritocracy, but just giving government employees their jobs and crying about otherwise, violence against ICE officials and federal law enforcement, violence against white people in Cincinnati. We're going to get to more of that on Monday. And pushing forward candidates who are too stupid and too useless to call things like they are. And fear mongering continuing to get every single prediction wrong like clockwork. The Trump administration doesn't need to have the most amazing Republican policy of all time. It doesn't. Doesn't. Which means the Trump administration can continue with the bull in the China shop approach. And while they may not have the most amazing midterms in human history right now, they're going to have a much better midterms than is as traditionally supposed to flip. That said, we're going to wrap things up for the day. I think just one mail time question I think we have ready to go here from Delphix, she asks, Tony, got a question for you here. Do you have a favorite Democrat in American history? A favorite Democrat in American history? It depends on what you mean by Democrat per se. Thomas Jefferson, kinda, because he was a Democratic Republican, right? I believe. Yeah, I'm sure he was. Yeah. Thomas Jefferson probably my favorite one. But again, the Democrat Republicans didn't really split into the Democrats and Republicans. Republicans came along later. So yeah, Thomas Jefferson would probably be my favorite in modern history. I mean, I really like as a person a couple of writers and things I have respect for. I have a lot of respect for certain people. There's a city councilor in Indianapolis who I think is a really fair and decent guy. There is, there are a couple of Democrats that we've had on the show that I think are decent people. Adam Rand of Politico is a very thorough writer. He, he tries to be really honest even though I don't like a lot of his conclusions. Other Democrat John Fetterman probably a favorite. I think that his comms are really good. I think he votes like crap. There's one Democrat representative in Maine who flips a lot because he realized people from Maine really don't even like things that for example Susan Collins is doing. That's pretty cool. So yeah there are a couple of Democrats that I am I am more opt to listen to. But as far as favorite Thomas Jefferson if you're going by like the most ancient of ancient standards which again calling Thomas Jefferson like a tried and true actual Democrat. So that said, you guys have a wonderful weekend. We'll be back on Monday from Indiana where I am able to carry my firearms and not worry about the nasty swampy stench. There's a Hoosier stench that I much prefer. Guys have a great weekend. Take care. It's the Tony Kennett cast here on the Daily Signal, nationally syndicated and first on 93 WIBC.

Coogler's Resignation Letter Excerpt (02:45): "It has been an honor of a lifetime to serve on the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System... I am proud to have tackled this role with integrity."
Tony Kennett (04:10): "Chair Powell artificially encouraged governors to raise and lower interest rates as necessary... to make Biden look better. That is an undeniable fact."
Analysis: Kennett questions the validity of Coogler's praise for Chair Jerome Powell, suggesting that Powell's management of interest rates was politically motivated to favor President Biden. He points out that Coogler's resignation may be a strategic move ahead of a potential nomination process for her replacement, anticipating increased media scrutiny and political maneuvering.
Key Discussion Points:
Historical Low Ratings: Recent polls indicate that Democrats are experiencing some of their worst approval ratings in decades, with figures like the Wall Street Journal reporting them 30 points underwater.
Impact on Midterms: The declining popularity poses a significant threat to Democratic seats, especially in traditionally safe or "purple" districts, potentially leading to unexpected Republican victories.
Voter Registration Shifts: States like New Jersey and Florida have seen a substantial decrease in registered Democrats and an increase in registered Republicans, indicating a shifting political landscape.
Notable Quotes:
Harry Enton (10:25): "The Democratic Party's net favor rating record lows in all three... It is total and complete garbage in the mind of the American public."
Tony Kennett (12:06): "Here's the secret... Incumbents have a massive strength heading into the election season."
Analysis: Kennett and his co-hosts discuss the ramifications of declining Democratic support, emphasizing the advantages incumbents hold in elections. They argue that the current dissatisfaction stems from unpopular policies and ineffective leadership within the Democratic Party, attributing the decline to broken promises and failed predictions made by Democratic leaders.

Deputy Alexander Zwink (27:22): "Your actions have discredited the Mexican sheriff's office by acting outside of our standard operating practices and culture."
Analysis: The discussion highlights tensions between state and federal authorities regarding immigration enforcement. Kennett argues that Democratic states are overstepping by restricting ICE operations, which he claims leads to inefficiencies and undermines law enforcement efforts. The conversation also touches on legislative attempts to prevent ICE agents from wearing masks, which Kennett criticizes as ineffective and politically motivated.
Key Discussion Points:
Democratic Party Leadership: Kennett critiques Democratic leaders, including Stacey Abrams and Hakeem Jeffries, suggesting a lack of effective leadership and cohesion within the party.

Analysis: Kennett and his co-hosts express frustration with Democratic leadership, accusing figures like Hakeem Jeffries of focusing on partisan battles rather than substantive policy issues. They contend that Democratic strategies, such as opposing redistricting efforts, are futile in the face of declining voter support and shifting demographics.
Key Discussion Points:

He remains optimistic about the party's prospects despite current setbacks, attributing potential future successes to strategic campaigning and policy implementation.
