Let's get down to business. You're listening to the Tony Kennett cast on 93 WYPC on CYTV here on the Daily Signal. Good evening and welcome to the Tony Kenned cast here on the Daily signal, nationally syndicated, first on 93 WIBC. I'm Tony Kennett trying very hard to stick to the radio and TV clock this evening. Given that I talked into the intro music of the show. Not a very good sign. So with that said, let's dig into the breaking news out of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has ruled today that the Trump administration may hold onto the $4 billion in foreign aid funding as a rescission package while Congress considers a proposal to cut it. This pauses a lower court order that required the money to be spent by September 30th. So the entire argument from the, well, the numerous court cases and left wing NGOs was that because Congress had applied this foreign aid money to be spent by the president that he had to spend it in all of these various areas, you know, allotted by Congress. And Trump brought up some interesting problems. Hey, we believe this money might be going to terrorist organizations or organizations that are contributing to the harm of Americans. Additionally, there is a pocket rescission that the White House passed through Congress. So the Congress has passed this little pocket rescission through and the Democrats came in and said, well, you, you can't do that. That's, that's, no, no, no, you must give all of that money to foreign country. Where is Iraqi Sesame Street? Ahmed Bird is not on screen in Baghdad. It's a travesty. And the Trump team said, no, not giving him any money. Sorry. And The Supreme Court ruled 623. That would be along ideological lines that, yeah, the rescission package is fine. This is important for two reasons. Number one, because part of the affirmative decision on behalf of the Supreme Court for the Trump to rule in favor of the Trump administration are Justice Amy Coney Barrett and Chief Justice John Roberts, who were considered moderates on the not the friendliest to Trump in some ways side heading into the Supreme Court session back in summer. What's gone on? Well, one of the primary things is the left losing their ever loving marbles and poke, poke, poke, poke, poking Supreme Court justices until essentially half of the lawsuits that are now coming before them, they're going. Yeah, I think the left is insane. Next. So there is the matter of the dissent from Justices Sotomayor Kagan and then written in bright Crayola Katanji Brown Jackson saying that the case raises novel issues. I'm not sure what novel issues these are. Perhaps the Count of Monte Cristo, maybe A Tale of Two Cities. Could be Twilight, Don Quixote and the Imaginary Windmills. Ah, very, very, very good. Or, you know, of course, Diary of a Wimpy Kid or Captain Underpants. Again, Catania Brown Jackson. Reading levels gotta, you know. So they say the novel issues about the relationship between the president and Congress, that shouldn't be decided in cursory emergency docket rulings. So what do you need to know about this? Well, this $4 billion in aid is cut to foreign countries unless Congress decides to vote that Trump's rescission request is no good. So Congress has to pass a bill to deny the rescission request. Now, there are a few libertarians are in a really rough place because they're used to saying they really can't stand Trump and that Republicans are very, very bad along with the left. And in this case, Trump is cutting foreign spending because Congress did in fact pass this partial rescission. Then the moderate Republicans and a lot of the left are very, very, very upset because they say, wait a minute, I thought Congress had the power of the purse. Well, they do. But then Congress abdicated that responsibility by signing a big slob of money and saying, this is foreign aid and this is environmental protection, these are education dollars. And then they slumped that money off to the relevant executive branch agency. And wouldn't you know it, the executive branch agencies then decided where that money went and why. And now that Trump is in charge of those executive agencies, well, you know, sucks to suck. This brings us over to the bevy of stuff going on in the White House today. A lot of breaking information. It's been an insane week. And I believe our White House correspondent is standing by. So we head over now to Elizabeth Mitchell, our White House correspondent. Have you had weeks that have not been as busy as this one in the Oval Office?
Elizabeth Mitchell
Hey, Tony, this was a Big week at the White House for sure. I'm really excited to talk about it.
Tony Kennett
So dig right in. What in the world has been going on? I mean, you've got ICE executive orders with Antifa, you have the Turkish Oval Office press conference. You know, there's so much to dig into. What's one of the biggest things for you?
Elizabeth Mitchell
A highlight was definitely yesterday I got to go to the Oval Office when The president signed three executive orders, all of extreme significance. He signed the TikTok deal. He signed an order designating left wing domestic terrorist organizations so he can go after those. And he signed an order restoring the death penalty in D.C. so it was a really big day. And like you said, he met with the presidents of Turkey and Pakistan on the side.
Tony Kennett
Producer Nick, go ahead and roll the clip of Elizabeth asking the question to the president about the TikTok deal.
Producer Nick
Thank you.
Elizabeth Mitchell
Is there any operational relationship with Chinese entities or staff to execute the deal?
Producer Nick
With who?
Tony Kennett
With.
Elizabeth Mitchell
With the Chinese?
Producer Nick
I don't think so. Not that I know we're going to be. This is be American operated all the way. And great respect for President Xi and I very much appreciate that he approved the deal because to get it done properly we really needed the support of China and the approval of China.
Tony Kennett
I know there's a lot of controversy on kind of the right in general surrounding this deal. Were you satisfied with the answer from the President? What are you looking for in the next couple of weeks regarding the developments on that story?
Elizabeth Mitchell
The President and the Vice President made clear in the Oval Office their priority has been on saving TikTok while making it secure for the millions of American young people who love it. The President even said that Charlie Kirk got him using the app and that it helped him win the election. So it has a close place in his heart. And Vice President Vance has worked very hard on this deal to make this happen. I think there obviously is a lot of controversy amongst the conservative movement that on one hand, TikTok is not good for kids. It's extremely addictive. A lot of bad content that radicalizes kids, inappropriate content, various things is on this app. But on the other hand, a lot of people enjoy this app. A lot of small businesses use it to promote their content and it's something that has been helpful to Republicans in recent elections, though it can go the other way as well. So ultimately that side of pro TikTok won out and they were able to settle this deal after extending the deadline for a ban from Congress four times. This was a long awaited deal and he, he said that Americans will have complete control of executing the deal. He told me that. And he said that this app will really be American operated. The Chinese will not be controlling the algorithm. They will not be pushing Chinese propaganda on our young people. So that's very encouraging.
Tony Kennett
So, obviously, there's a lot of tension in Washington, D.C. right now. Some of it is, of course, very domestic and international. Russia testing US Forces over in Alaska, flying things really close to the border. Of course, then you're also seeing the domestic incidents regarding ICE and terror attacks against law enforcement around the country. And then you have the Senate that is throwing all of their weight into, at least on the Democrats side, a government shutdown. I mean, it seems priorities are a little weird here. How is the White House reacting to all of this shutdown nonsense?
Elizabeth Mitchell
So the talking point here is that the Democrats will be to blame if the government shuts down because of how dedicated they are to illegal immigrants getting health care. They usually support a clean, continued resolution to fund the federal government, but of course, because the Republicans support it now they are not. So we'll see what happens there. But I think that even if the government does shut down, Republicans can use this to their advantage. One, because Democrats are clearly to blame because they are refusing to support something they usually do support because they're so dedicated to this migrant health care issue. And secondly, because if the government shuts down, the Trump administration will. The Office of Management and Budget under the White House will have the opportunity to choose who is essential, what agencies stay open, who gets to continue working. And so they're going to be able to really ramp up DOGE to the next level, cutting employees from Department of Education, cutting programs to Department of Education, cutting a lot of these unnecessary bureaucrats. This is kind of a great opportunity. So Democrats have a lot at stake here.
Tony Kennett
So kind of on that last note there, I understand there's a lot of, you know, concern with the Democrat side of the aisle begging, pleading on their hands and knees, which is really weird to see for a meeting with President Trump about avoiding the shutdown. Are you hearing from any senior administration officials conversation about ICE enforcement in various cities across the United States? Even if it's nothing official, do things appear to be a little more tense given, again the consistent rhetoric increase throughout September?
Elizabeth Mitchell
Things are definitely intense. California passed a law saying that ICE agents can't wear masks, which is a big issue because people hate these ICE agents. They're posting them online, they're threatening to kill them. They believe it's justified to kill ICE agents, which is so horrifying. But Gavin Newsom tried to make it so ICE agents can't wear masks. Trump administration said they're not going to comply with that. It's not constitutional. But throughout the country, I think ICE agents are living in fear and we are all concerned about their safety because of this attack that we saw in Dallas. It's just part of this larger uptick in left wing political violence that we've seen across the country, that people believe, especially young people, that it's okay to physically harm or even kill your enemies. This is a huge problem. The Trump administration takes this extremely seriously. You know that Tom Homan is going to be after anyone who harms an ICE agent, and he's not someone you want to be on the wrong side of.
Tony Kennett
I think that that's, that's, that's pretty on point there. Elizabeth Mitchell, our White House correspondent over at the Daily Signal. Thanks for joining us.
Elizabeth Mitchell
Thanks, Tony.
Tony Kennett
All right, now we gotta send the radio crew over to commercial. See you in a second. It's the Tony Kennett cast. All right, in the meantime, Hakeem Jeffries, House Minority Leader, he's really, really angry that Donald Trump wouldn't meet with him and help him build a bear. And so in the meantime, Hakeem decided to complain that Trump spends time with his granddaughter. I understand the concern, given that Biden pretended his grandkids didn't even exist. So here's Hakeem getting upset about Trump and golfing and his grandchildren. Four days away from a government shutdown.
Producer Nick
And Republicans are on vacation. House Republicans on vacation cancel votes on the eve of a government shutdown.
Tony Kennett
I'd love to remind you that there are no Democrat votes in the House needed to pass this bill. And there are still expected to be House Democrats that are defecting to vote in favor of this continuing resolution. Just a straight, clean down the middle continuing resolution. So why Hakeem is yelling is really hilarious because as the House Minority leader, you're not really supposed to yell at the Senate. I guess it's just not common. But Hakeem's out here yelling anyway. I'm not sure who would want to meet with Hakeem about what other than hopefully a speech class or something. His William Shatner impression is exhausting.
Producer Nick
And Donald Trump, is that a golf event? He doesn't have the time to meet with Democratic leaders.
Tony Kennett
He's the Democratic leader. He's talking about to fund the government and address the Republican health care crisis. But the Republican health care crisis, yes. Donald Trump right now, as we speak, is At a golf event. He said golf event now four times. It's outrageous.
Producer Nick
And why.
Tony Kennett
It'S outrageous. Ooh. I don't know how many times I've seen a grown man get like the pea shivers in the middle of a speech. I think Biden used to have that problem, but I think that was more physiological than anything else. Hakeem, in this case, just best of luck to you. He's not meeting with people named Hakeem and Jeffries, he won't respond to my text messages. And I stood outside with Hank Johnson all last night near Trump's house playing guitar and singing, and he didn't throw me one of the Bachelor roses. It's terrible. I love it. It's incredible to watch. And what else is incredible to watch is Democrats who have been trying to argue that a government shutdown means that a bunch of services would be impacted and then wouldn't be impacted. Now, basically, there are posts all over social media, like the House Veterans Affairs Democrats account, for example, that a couple of months ago were saying these features and services would be impacted by the shutdown. Now they've totally flipped and said, okay, well, these wouldn't be impacted by the shutdown. So they don't even have a decent line of understanding on what a government shutdown would actually do. Again, given that it's the Democrats who are supposed to come to the table on this who want more spending put into a bill that was already cut in a prior past piece of legislation, I don't really think it's going to go the way that they want it to. And this does bring us to Comey, because before we get to ice last night, Comey's indictment, two counts, one on lying to Congress in 2020, and then another count on obstruction of justice pertaining to a congressional investigation. And I've seen a lot of takes on this. So I've seen it take that. This is like one of the dumbest indictments of all time. And it's really terrible and it's awful. But also, it's never going to work. It's never going to happen. And I am here to inform you that this is exactly how one should do some kind of investigation and indictment on an individual that is very contentious. When you go the Sean Diddy Combs route and you throw the book at someone trying to make yourself look like some kind of a good trial lawyer. I charge him with rico, I charge him with prostitution, and I also charge him with treason against Narnia. It turns out that stuff doesn't usually stick. And the grand jury ended up indicting Comey because the charges were two very clear and simple charges that will end up producing a lot in discovery. We got to bring the radio crew back. Then we're going to talk about ICE and head to Julio. It's the Tony Kennett cast here on the Daily Signal. This is the Tony Kennett cast on 93 WIBC. It's Friday. Welcome back to the Tony Kennet and we're glad to have you here. The Comey stuff will finish up in a little bit here because more important at the moment, there are a series of ICE raids and actions around the country that are meeting different levels of resistance. And again, to be clear, after the series of terror attacks that have occurred against ice, Border patrol and other federal law enforcement, it is clear that there are serious threats at any place in which there is a presence of antifa or those who have previously tried to block traffic and impede officers. So in Chicago, the route that they took was putting up a fence. Putting up a fence because again, after an individual ran up to an ICE facility in Texas and shot blindly through the window, killing detainees, trying to kill ICE officers in Illinois, now they've put up a fence in Chicago at the ICE facility there. And the anger that came from local residents who really want to get in there and stop traffic and assault officers is palpable. It's really funny. So just before we even get started with our coverage to Julio here in a moment, here's one of the Chicago residents losing his marbles. It's disturbing. It's disturbing. It's another attempt at infringing people's right to express themselves publicly. Today, new fencing surrounds the Broadview processing Center. A little further down the street, barriers.
Producer Nick
Were placed to block traffic. Broadview police officers also remain in the area.
Tony Kennett
This comes days after clashes between protesters and federal agents. Now, what's really funny is that the fence doesn't block the entire road, but there is kind of a roadblock system set up in place. And I've looked at kind of the Google map view of the area, uh, because what comes next is really funny. The local fire department has now, likely at the request of the mayor's office, said that they need the fence taken down because it blocks a road. Uh, yeah, no, I'm sorry. If there is a situation in which there is a confirmable, direct, obvious threat to federal law enforcement upholding federal law, that is in fact, a case where local government is superseded. That is, and by the way that's outlined in the Constitution, it is upheld through court precedent. In fact, the most brilliant case of the federal government getting to overturn local legislation when it comes to the safety of federal officers, that's Fort Sumter. So to move on before we send the radio crew over to a very, very brief commercial break, because we have to kind of coordinate getting Julio on the air at the right time. Here there is an individual who was the superintendent in Des Moines, Des Moines, Iowa, who has been arrested by immigration customs Enforcement. This story is incredible. It is incredible. U.S. immigration Customs Enforcement, this is late Breaking today, arrested Ian Andre Roberts, age 48, the superintendent of Iowa's largest public school district in Des Moines during a targeted operation. Roberts, a Guianese nationalist from Guyana who overstayed a 1999 student visa. 1999, 26 years he's been in this country overstaying a student visa. Never immigrated, never went through the legal process. He's just been here. In May of 2024, he faced a deportation order and then he fled agents in a district vehicle belonging to the school district and then was apprehended with a loaded handgun, a knife, and $3,000 in cash. Sorry, Canadians, you'll have to convert that one to Indian rupees yourself. The Des Moines public school district has appointed an interim leader and has continued operations while reviewing the hiring process. This is again, this is just wild radio crew. We have to send you to commercials so we can get Julio on the line. We'll bring you back in a second. It's the Tony Kinnit cast. We're going to continue here on the live stream. Okay, so you need to see some of the clips. Here they are. Well, here's the clip from them. Them searching the former superintendent and illegal immigrants car. The Des Moines public schools safety officer were also at this. There's the gun in.
Producer Nick
The state patrol says they were pulling.
Tony Kennett
Evidence out of a car that you.
Producer Nick
Just saw in the video there.
Tony Kennett
We, we saw them pull a firearm out. Now, you might perhaps be wondering, wait a minute. When I had to get my job, I had to go through a background check. A lot of us have background checks and not just for hansy highfalutin academic jobs. Background checks are in a ton of industries now. For one thing, because of things like E verify, you need to be a citizen of the United States to legally work here or you need a valid work visa, green card, something like that. An actual legal document saying you are supposed to be here. Now here's where things get a little interesting and why I think that, you know, pretty soon you're Going to be looking at a tweet from Assistant Attorney General Harmony Dhillon with a pair of eyeball emojis because I'm going to take a wild guess that this district, according to the school board members, when they hired him, they knew a lot more than they were letting on. And that's a problem because that's a felony. This board delivered on all fronts. And as such, I am thrilled today.
Producer Nick
To introduce to Des Moines Public schools the Des Moines community and the state of Iowa.
Tony Kennett
Des Moines 14th Superintendent, Dr. Ian Roberts.
Producer Nick
On behalf of my board colleagues, thank you all. I am pleased to welcome Dr. Ian.
Tony Kennett
Roberts to Des Moines and Des moines public schools. Dr. Roberts.
Producer Nick
Thank you. Madam President.
Tony Kennett
I stand here this evening before you with immense gratification and immense felonies and certainly a sense of pride and humility. I am not a sense of citizenship.
Producer Nick
Incredibly grateful for the vote of confidence.
Tony Kennett
That the board has shown. Well, maybe next time you might vote for a citizen, you know, to be the superintendent of your school district. Public schools. Ladies and gentlemen, essentially what we do know so far, the Iowa Board of Education knew about Ian Andre Roberts, academic background, but they failed to conduct a proper background check before hiring him. Roberts was not just in the country legally, he was an active fugitive with a deportation order. And by the way, here you go. He had a prior weapons related arrest. Hmm. Interesting. Yet he was placed in charge, of course, the largest public school district in Iowa. Not to mention, by the way, he previously held positions in public school systems across multiple states. Incredible stuff. Really incredible stuff. Now, this brings us over to Chicago. Right now, there are a series of arrests, but there is one clip that I do want to play for you before we bring Julio on. Listen to what they are chanting. Shoot. Ice mouth. Rhetoric, anyone? Rhetoric, anybody? Hmm. By the way, that is not a first amendment right. That's not protesting. When you incite calls for murder, it becomes a riot. When you break the law, it becomes a riot. That is a riot. Say, well, there's not a lot of people there. No, no, no, no, no. That's not the definition. When a group of individuals begins violating the law, especially through things, again, you are not allowed to say, hey, shoot them. Especially not to law enforcement, stupid man. I can't. Producer. I can't fathom why they'd want to put up a fence. We got to bring the radio crew in. Don't go anywhere. It's the Tony Kinnid cast here on the Daily Signal. We gotta get Julio on the line. Martha listens to her favorite band all the time. In the car, gym, even sleeping. So when they finally went on tour, Martha bundled her flight and hotel on Expedia to see them live. She saved so much, she got her seat close enough to actually see and hear them, sort of. You were made to scream from the front row.
Producer Nick
We were made to quietly save you.
Tony Kennett
More Expedia made to Travel savings vary and subject to availability. Flight inclusive packages are atoll protected. It's the Tony Kenneth cast on 93 WYBC. All right, I believe that we have Julio all ready to go. Julio, you're out there over in Chicago on the ground near the ice facility. How you doing, man?
Producer Nick
I'm still kicking.
Tony Kennett
Good, good. What can you tell us so far? Have there, have there been any arrests today? I know that there have been some, you know, a lot of shoving, a lot of pepper spray. You've. You've inhaled a lot of tear gas, I believe.
Producer Nick
Yeah. So earlier today, the, you know, the anti ice crowd came back outside the facility here in Broadview, which is about 25ish minutes from downtown Chicago.
Tony Kennett
Right.
Producer Nick
And they, they did what they've always do, which is trying to interfere with the operations that are still ongoing with Operation Midway Blitz. And they weren't too successful, I would say, overall, because vehicles were still able to get through them, agents did have to deploy a lot of pepper balls, a lot of tear gas. I got hit with a pepper ball myself. That's fine. It comes to the territory, but it just shows that this, this resistance in sanctuary cities is still very much ongoing. And you know, Tony, I mean, you and I know that it makes it easier for protesters to come out to cause mayhem when the weather is nice. And being a Chicago land native, it is pretty, it is pretty shocking to see Chicago have still in the upper 80s this late in September.
Tony Kennett
Absolutely. I remember when we were at the DNC last year and things were starting to get rowdy. It was interesting to see the rhetoric slowly shift from just, you know, kind of blase political phrases, vague chants at the time about the presidential candidates, to calls directly for violence, for violating the law. I know that right now there are certain, you know, parts of the street that are blocked off. You were the one who recorded the footage earlier of the individuals saying to shoot ice at that moment, when that again became an actual crime, you know, calling for violence. Did you see officers approach and arrest the guy? I know that. Again, as a Marine tactical awareness kind of thing, keeping your head on a swivel, did they just kind of note who he was and write it down? What happened to that guy, I am.
Producer Nick
Unaware of him being arrested. I do know DHS is aware of the man's comments. There were at least two other people who were arrested and DHS said that they recovered a firearm off of one of them. And so that's obviously very disturbing because we just saw a leftist attack a ICE facility down near Dallas with, you know, by shooting at them and not hitting them, but hitting the detainees. So I mean, it's not shocking to see that. But you know, at a time when supposedly we're supposed to come together and unify in the aftermath of what happened with Charlie Kirk, the street leftists are very much still like, no, we are going to maintain our heated rhetoric and we're going to not only do that, but we're also going to cause chaos in the streets and trying to actually go against the federal government because they're deporting illegal aliens. And that's kind of where we're at right now in terms of, you know, street, street action.
Tony Kennett
Right. So one of the, one of the key questions that always comes up in Summer of Love style riots and kind of evening situations, it's 6:33 now there in Chicago. So it's going to be getting darker a little bit sooner now. Usually you start to see larger numbers of people show up. I think about again when we were Union park last year, the number tripled basically from the hours of six Central to seven. So what do you, are you seeing more people show up or have things kind of diminished or what are you hearing kind of on the ground without compromising yourself?
Producer Nick
So over by the security fence that the federal government installed to keep agitators away from the building, there are, I would say about 25 to 35 people protesters, I guess you could say that are back out the other side of the street where we saw the action earlier. That part is actually surprisingly empty. And that's just because, you know, if people want to interfere and try to prevent vehicles from passing through, they would be on that side, but they're not. They're on the other side by the fence. But, you know, the night is still young and the weekend is just getting started. So as we know, these situations are very fluid and that could change, you know, hour by hour. But so right now things are kind of fine. There are some actually American flag waving counter protesters, let's go. To show their support for ice. Although, I mean it's, you know, they're, they're vastly outnumbered. They're not. There's only about three, I would say.
Tony Kennett
Which is strange because I was told that Chicago's MAGA country. Don't you know.
Producer Nick
That that that would be news to me. That would be news to me. But, but then again, I'm not getting a Subway sandwich in sub, sub freezing temperatures at 2 o' clock in the morning.
Tony Kennett
So just from that point forward, the last thing I really want to ask you here, I know that there have been some calls at the kind of the city level. The fire department has wanted that fence taken down. Usually by about this time. We've heard from Brandon Johnson. Usually he has stuck his entire foot into his mouth and wiggled it around a bit. JB Pritzker is usually about done at Golden Corral at this time of evening, give or take. So what do you think? Are we actually hearing anything from prominent Democrat officials in and around Chicago, Illinois? This is developing and getting more tense there. So what are the authorities saying?
Producer Nick
I have yet to see anything from either of their offices. Granted, you know, with Johnson it is technically outside his jurisdiction. But you are right.
Tony Kennett
Right. Because of Broadview.
Producer Nick
But he's not shy to comment on matters related to this. But I mean, again, I wouldn't be surprised if they have to be pressured into saying something if they say anything at all because their rhetoric is what's helping to fuel what we're seeing out in the streets. I mean, this isn't just happening just in a vacuum. This isn't just happening by accident. I mean, people, this has been building up all year and it's going to continue. I mean, the Trump administration is very clear they're going to continue this type of, you know, enhanced operations, you know, faster pace, you know, more of these, you know, arresting of illegal aliens just because there's so many in the country. So this is, I've been telling people for a long time we are in it for the long haul on this just because it's a huge issue. It's been an issue for decades. It obviously got worse with, under the Biden Harris administration, with the border crisis that they purposefully created. So, you know, I'm not surprised that we're barely a year into the administration and this is the issue that's getting people all riled up. Not just simply hold a sign in Kumbaya, but to actually, you know, assault agents, assault their vehicles and, you know, unfortunately like we saw last week, shooting at them.
Tony Kennett
Right, right. Julio Rosas from the Blaze, thank you for giving us some of your on the ground coverage right there at the protests and the riots in front of the ICE facility over at the Blaze. You can Find them on X at Julio underscore Rosas 11, thanks for joining us, dude. Stay safe.
Producer Nick
Thanks. I'm never going to get a vacation for a long time.
Tony Kennett
No, no. That makes two of us. All right, now moving over to some of the rhetoric conversation that Julio brought up. I do want to bring to your attention that the current left wing line about rhetoric has to do with, I kid you not, Dylan Mulvaney. Dylan Mulvaney. Now Dylan Mulvaney, you remember, is that dude in a dress who wore weird like driving gloves and hopped up with a bunch of like weird cans of Bud Light and made his voice sound a little bit higher and proclaimed that he was the new like face of Bud Light and their new trans Bud Light campaign kind of a thing. And that upset a lot of people because Dylan Mulvaney is as the kids call gross. And you know, a lot of people weren't in, you know, tune with the, the nascar, the NFL, beer per se being thrown behind the trans movement. And so a lot of people, they boycotted Bud Light. Now I have gone back and I actually today producer Nick I looked at a lot of the various bits of footage from the Bud Light boycott. There was not a single person who called for violence against Bud Light, against Anheuser Busch. There was not a single incident of any kind of violence that occurred. There was one report that someone had I guess gone into some kind of a liquor store and knocked a case of Bud Light off of like a stack. That was it. And then there was this one guy with an MP5 which you may know is is my favorite submachine gun in history, the Heckler and Koch MP5. And he bought a case of Bud Light and then he shot the case of Bud light with the MP5. The horror. Well, to the left they are now arguing that this is violent rhetoric. Just like calling the right fascist Nazis that need to be shot and killed. Again, like you just lest I have to remind you just from today that exact situation in question here, I'm just going to remind everyone at home there was none of that. And if, by the way, if you think that's kind of like an equivocacy here as one, well, we're not gonna, you know, call intelligent individual over on X put it, this is how MAGA responded after Bud Light had the audacity to feature a trans influencer in their ads. So spare us your BS about violent rhetoric from the left. JD Vance tagging JD Vance as a left winger or even as a right winger on X and trying to call him out on something with a lowbrow argument. It's a dangerous game because there's even money, the vice president, who is in fact online even money that he'll respond. And boy did he. So he, quote, tweeted the particular accusation about the MP5 and the bud Light shooting. He said, I call upon all of our supporters to stop the violence against innocent beer cans and I call upon all left wing radicals to stop inciting violence against innocent people. In case you actually needed that lined up now, Rob Bluey, our Daily Signal president, was on CNN and was asked about this particularly. And I thought that the answer was, well, pretty apropos.
Producer Nick
This is an ongoing conversation on the right about the constellation or atmosphere on the left that they think contributes to this. Am I misreading that? I think when you see the writing on the bullets and the Charlie Kirk assassination in the attack on the ICE facility this week, there are legitimate questions that are being raised. Or why are these shooters putting these messages, these cryptic messages sometimes and what do they mean?
Tony Kennett
Exactly.
Producer Nick
So not only do you have the president making this move from the White House, but you also have Congressman Chip Roy in the US Congress who wants to form a select committee to do an investigation. So I'm all for investigating and trying to get to the bottom of this. To your point of what does he want that investigation to do? The congressional one, Chip Rohing, wants to form a select committee to look into what he calls anti American activities that are happening on our own soil.
Tony Kennett
Does that not bring back happy memories of the past?
Producer Nick
You brought up George Soros earlier. And I think the reason that Trump is looking at Soros is he has funded a lot of prosecutorial races in this country for individuals who have what the right would say, gone easy on criminals.
Tony Kennett
Well, wouldn't you just know, first of all, I love the anti American activities. And then immediately hands rushed to pearls, they could not rush to the pearls quickly enough. Anti American activities? Yeah, I mean, riding anti ice on the bullets used to shoot up an ICE facility. Hey, fascist catch. Again, the consistent. May I remind you of the Tesla dealership fire bombings earlier this year, the setting the women and children on fire in Aurora, Colorado, or perhaps the shooting of people in Washington D.C. or in New York City or the numerous other incidents of left wing terrorism in Texas alone? Yeah, I would say those are anti American activities. Yes, absolutely. Because, and I said this earlier today, but I want to make this clear before we have to send the radio crew over to commercial. As long as the apps on the app stores, both for Apple and Google that allow individuals to track and dox ICE agents are continued to be kept up as long as individuals who are directly inciting violence, which is Julio Rosas just said he wasn't aware that that individual had been arrested yet are allowed to call for violence, direct inciting violence. There will be additional terror attacks. There will be. It's not a matter of if. It is a matter of when. And you nor I nor anyone can guarantee that even for the goals of the left that they will succeed in hitting their targets. They may not succeed in hitting law enforcement as we found out in Texas already. Bad enough they're now they're hitting detainees, children, parents in the Minneapolis Ascension or excuse me, Annunciation Church shooting. It is violent rhetoric and it needs to stop. This is not an equal ideas. All ideas are equal in wonderful situation. And absolutely Congress should form a select committee. And absolutely, by the way, if they can throw a hundred people in jail 15 days after the January 6th riot, man, they could very likely at least get a couple dozen in openly calling for the deaths of law enforcement officers. And half of the country radio crew will send you to the commercial. We're going to look at some of the examples of what I just mentioned over here on the live stream. It's the Tony Kennett cast here on the Daily Signature Signal. Now over in, well, the realm of really stupid, awful, terrible rhetoric and really awful, terrible people, you now have Democrats that are openly running for Congress that are essentially running on the platform of making fun of people like Charlie Kirk who was shot on a college campus in front of people for the great crime of practicing free amendment First Amendment speech in the United States. And we'll get to that in a second. But there is one that I wanted to talk. So Rob Bluey in that CNN clip mentioned the George Soros backed individuals light on crime. Well, here's an example from today. George Soros backed Florida State Attorney Monique Worrell told a press conference today that a man masturbating in front of children at a park will not be charged. They're letting him off the hook. The father of the child who was exposed to the adult man who was masturbating in public in front of the children that well, since the child didn't see anything and they were unaware of what had happened then Florida couldn't charge felony exhibition because no other adult saw the defendant's penis. They couldn't charge misdemeanor exposure either. So let me get this straight. If you break the law but you don't get caught, it's fine. Excuse me. When conservatives over on the right make the case that a lot of these Soros backed individuals. I do actually have the clip ready to go here. A lot of these Soros backed individuals let people off the hook. There's just story after story after story after story that happens to prove them right. Here you go.
Producer Nick
All things that are wrong are not illegal.
Tony Kennett
And I'm not standing before you today telling you that what happened in that park was wrong. But I am standing before you today.
Producer Nick
Telling you that I trust the word.
Tony Kennett
Of the attorney who was assigned to this case when he said although those actions were wrong, he could not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that they were illegal. So I, I want to get that just straight on the record here. She said that while there are actions that are wrong, they are not. There are some actions that are wrong but not illegal. And then she says, I'm also not here to tell you that it was wrong. I'm sorry. If you are a person who has any moral question whatsoever as to the moral clarity behind whether or not it is right or wrong to masturbate in front of a child, you shouldn't be in any government position at all, period. And I certainly hope that Florida has some kind of a measure to impeach her immediately. I trust the attorney who says that, well, it maybe wasn't quite illegal. You're telling me a jury wouldn't convict on that? Really? Really. All right, we'll be back in a second. Don't go anywhere. Got a lot more to cover. It's the Tony Kenned cast here on the Daily Signal. It's the Tony kenned cast on 93 wipclosing time. There's a couple of other incredible stories from today that you need to be aware of. I did promise that we would come back to James Comey, me. And look, there are a couple of things. I am no super duper legal expert. I don't have a law degree. I have yet to pass the bar. But there are a couple of things that is a broadcaster and as an individual who has been around a lawsuit or two, there are a couple of things that the average American adult knows. When you are involved with a lawsuit, if you are sued, you are arrested, you are indicted. Step number one, shut your mouth. Don't talk, don't speak. Former FBI director James Comey indicted on two counts by a grand jury. Not by Pam Bondi, not by Donald Trump. A grand jury agreed these are in fact indict worthy offenses. And he is indicted on both of those felony counts. So what does James Comey rush sprint to do? Well, the same thing that the Instagram ho always does. He rushes to get on camera. So when he's not arranging seashells on the beach, which is a joke that has been beat to death today, he's also making little videos right after he's indicted where he says things that could really screw him over in the trial.
Producer Nick
My family and I have known for.
Tony Kennett
Years that there are costs to standing.
Producer Nick
Up to Donald Trump, but we couldn't imagine ourselves living any other way. We will not live on our knees. And you shouldn't either. Somebody that I love dearly recently said that fear is the tool of a tyrant. And she's right.
Tony Kennett
That is the gayest thing I have heard in my entire life. Someone that I love recently said licking doorknobs on other planets is illegal. And you know what? She's right. And that crackhead outside the Speedway gas station then said that the Jews are poisoning Powerade. I didn't know what to do with that. But I'm still making this video.
Producer Nick
But I'm not afraid. And I hope you're not either.
Tony Kennett
I hope instead you are engaged.
Producer Nick
You are paying attention.
Tony Kennett
I'm actually married, but thanks for asking.
Producer Nick
And you will vote like your beloved country depends upon it, which it does. My heart is broken for the Department of Justice, but I have great confidence in the federal judicial system, and I'm innocent. So let's have a trial and keep the faith.
Tony Kennett
Okay? So I will remind you that one of the things that the left is currently arguing for is that this case should be thrown out. That it should. That it's not even relevant five years ago. Who cares if he's on video lying to Congress? Who cares if he's on video saying something completely different elsewhere? Who care if all of these memos bear James Comey signature? Who cares if there was an actual, specific person at the DoJ whose job was to leak crap to the New York Times? Who cares about all that? It's five years ago. The judge should just. You throw out the case. Just throw it out. Well, James Comey finished his video by saying, let's have a trial. If you are involved in a lawsuit, if you are being sued, if you are doing the suing, if you are indicted, if you are charged, if you are arrested, if you are brought in for questioning on spurious situations, do not speak without your attorney present. Don't open your mouth. And dear sweet Lord in heaven, do not record a video of yourself. And the intelligence of James Comey is right up there with the great Jasmine Crockett of Dallas. Well, speaking of blistering intelligence here, by the way, I did mention that there are Democrats out there that are ranting about how this was five years ago and forget it. Like Ken Delaney and from the MSNBC legal analyst crew, he says, quote, the filing of felony charges based on a five year old statement to Congress against a man whom Trump has identified as one of his chief political enemies underscores the extent to which Trump has shattered the post Watergate norm. Guys comparing things to Watergate ain't gonna work. Half of the voting electorate at this point has no idea what Watergate is. And of the half that do know what Watergate is, a huge portion of the country now believes that Nixon was screwed over out of the presidency and Watergate was a sham in large part. So whoever you're reaching to here, it's like Biden getting up and going, boy, when I'd go down and get two nickels for a quarter, I'd eat a wallet before every game and be like, who are you talking, old man? This is the same kind of thing. But I will point out that it's rather interesting to hear Democrats say that was five years ago. Why are you still so obsessed with this? Because every single conversation from the left side of the aisle in the last five years has been entirely built upon the January 6 protests and riots of which now, according to a report by John Solomon at Just the News, there were 275 FBI agents among. Now, I've seen a lot of fact checkers come out and try to say, well, those weren't undercover agents or plain clothes agents. They were just among law enforcement. Well, see, the problem is kids. We actually have photos of the law enforcement that were present that day too. And There are not 275 guys in FBI jackets there on the ground there. So no. Receipts always do, in fact, come due. Individuals do, in fact, eventually gain the reputation that they deserve. But Pete Buttigieg, he's very torn up about this. Pete Buttigieg, known for two, or excuse me, three very important things. Number one, being a really awful mayor of South Bend, Indiana. Number two, being rejected as Kamala Harris, vice presidential pick because he was, according to her, too gay. And number three, well, Pete Buttigieg was given $8 billion and built like seven charging stations for electric vehicles. So Pete Buttigieg, he's all fired up about this. Hey, it's Pete.
Producer Nick
I'm on the road again. I want to take a minute to be very clear about what is happening with this Comey indictment? The President has taken federal law enforcement, whose real job is to protect our families and communities from criminals, predators and terrorists, and instead he's redirected them to do his bidding.
Tony Kennett
His bidding? Oh, do tell.
Producer Nick
Pete, in an act of personal revenge.
Tony Kennett
In an act of personal revenge, did Trump like, go on TV in 2021 and say the former president needs to be investigated immediately? And then Trump, like, sent FBI agents to raid Comey's wife's underwear drawer? Is that what happened?
Producer Nick
Having a president picking out people as targets for prosecution isn't law and order abuse? Every day this continues, America becomes a more dangerous place for everyone.
Tony Kennett
Every day this continues, more dangerous place for everyone.
Producer Nick
So everyone needs to speak up from left, right and center and put political pressure on the president's enablers, the ones who know better, especially in Congress.
Tony Kennett
Oh, I see. He's running for President. I love that. Whenever you're from left, right and center, you need to speak up. To who? To Congress. Oh, okay. Yes, hello, Representative Shreve of the sixth congressional in Indiana. Yes. I want you to know that Pete Buttigieg doesn't like that James Comey was around. Oh, you don't care what people to judge thinks. All right, see you, man. And then. Well, okay. You got it, Pete. Happy to help you and your awkward chest feeding life partner. Incredible stuff. It's such a wonderful time to be in politics. I know it looks like some of us are annoyed. It is hilarious to watch the Democrats right now, now less than 14, what, 13 months away from the midterms and they can't figure out hide nor hair nor tail of any kind of policy prescription. We have Elizabeth Warren hyperventilating over a health care crisis because illegals aren't going to be getting health care anymore or aren't at this point in time. And then you have the rest of them yelling about ice. Stellar stuff. Radio crew, we're going to send you off to your weekend. Our broadcast time on Spectrum is over, but we're going to continue over on the live stream for a little bonus. Tonus. So with that said, this is the Tony Kinnit cast and you should hop over to the live stream. Have a good weekend. Well, alrighty. Now that the radio crew has been sent off to that wide beyond, I can share a couple of things with you that I have been looking forward to sharing with you all stinking week. Because we're talking about rhetoric. There is a representative candidate from Michigan. She's running for Congress. Her name is Shelby Campbell. And she is one of the individuals who has decided not just to say, guys, there's totally not anyone that's laughing about, you know, Charlie Kirk's assassination or condoning that kind of a thing. She is a Democrat running for Congress. So on Spectrum air, there's kind of a question as to whether you got to give equal time. That's why some of these I save for the live stream. She decided to record a video saying, actually, yeah, she thinks Charlie Kirk's political assassination is hilar. This is her voting pitch. Here you go. But the Mason east. Man, I got the wrong clip again. We're having a day, ladies and gentlemen.
Elizabeth Mitchell
Hey, Maga, how bad does it hurt? The Jimmy Kimmel's back, but you guys.
Producer Nick
Can'T get your person back.
Tony Kennett
How does it feel that Jimmy Kimmel's back, but you can't get your guy back? Well, that's a really disgusting thing to say. Whether or not I can play the correct clips in order, you know, I have a lot of flaws, but I have certainly never laughed. For example, after Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a woman whose court decisions, I thought set liberties and freedoms in this country back quite a bit and increased the reach of the authoritarian state, I did not like her as a Supreme Court justice. But when she died, I don't recall Republicans getting out there and making videos, doubling over, laughing and saying, hey, we still have our Supreme Court justices. I didn't see any of that. And she was called out. There was like quite an outrage over this. So she did what the least intelligent people running for office do. She doubles down.
Elizabeth Mitchell
Hi, Michiganders, Specifically Detroiters.
Tony Kennett
Do you guys care? I'm so sorry, Producer Nick, can I just get one thing in here real quick? Can we stop putting ers or alinos after all of the different cities in the country that we have to talk about? I have never called people from Indianapolis. Okay, Indianapolis or Indianapolistas. All right, Muncie Gustas. I've never done any of that crap. What's up, St. Louis Stanovanians? Like, nope. Stop it. There is no Detroit community except when they play that one Eminem video or like an old car manufacturing video once a year. Most of Detroit, they don't speak to each other, by the way. Do you know who told me that? People in Detroit, mostly Detroiters. And the reason I'm making fun of how she calls out to Michiganders and Detroiters. Michiganders, I don't have as much a problem with. By the end of the video, she's not calling her supporters Michiganders or Detroiters.
Elizabeth Mitchell
That Charlie Kirk has passed away. Yeah, I didn't think so. Because my district is primarily black people people.
Tony Kennett
And Charlie Kirk said awful things about black people. So, no, I think my district will.
Elizabeth Mitchell
Like me because I advocate for them as a white person.
Tony Kennett
So then she flips off the camera. Okay, cool tips at home here. You know what really isn't endearing? Going, hi, I'm Tony Kennett. I'm running for Congress. And I know that all of the Japanese people in my district will like me because I put a picture of Kyoto on my wall. And we all know what one thing Japanese people like Kyoto. Here it is. Vote for me. People in community groups. First of all, even if all black people from Detroit were part of like a unilateral, specific community, which they're absolutely not, and not even in the traditional inner city, black American community sense like you might find in Atlanta or Chicago or St. Louis or Memphis in this particular instance. Just saying, just saying. You know what? People are gonna like me because I'm a white girl who laughs at people because I think they made fun of black people even though Charlie didn't. They never play any footage. She's gonna go forward with this. Now, this is in Cherie Tanadar's district. You may remember him from every comedy or sitcom in which there's a car salesman, his cheesy grin and totally super duper fake wig. That's who he's running against in the primary is Chuckles over here. I'm honestly considering running up to Detroit and running as a Democrat in the primary just so that neither of them are elected, you know, given that we had. Well, Representative John James, who's close by there, I believe right now he's getting ready for some pretty cool gubernatorial stuff. God bless you. If either one of these individuals makes it up the chain into Congress because. Yikes. All right, last but not least. Oh, well, almost last but not least, there is a video of some left wing influencers who are now upgrading their next stage of the protest, which is they're sitting for the national anthem at baseball games and football games and then they're recording themselves doing that. And I. So the reason that I find this interesting, other than the fact that these are two very trash individuals. June 13, 2025, Politico. Democrats reclaim the American flag. Lincoln Project 2025. We're taking back the flag. Flag. July 23, 2025, from the Hill. Democrats don't retreat from the flag. March with it. Los Angeles Times. This being back in 2024, to be fair, are Kamala Harris Democrats taking Back Flag Waving Forbes Liberal activists in the US need to reclaim the American flag. Bill Maher 4 months ago New rule Retake the flag, guys. You can get out there and write all of the little political articles that you want and you can pretend that the atmosphere in the Democrats see they're actually deeply patriotic because the, the antifa crew, they compared themselves once to D Day. See, they, they were also fighting fascisms, anti fascist. It was very, very clever. But the abhorrence from the majority now of the left wing youth in this country for the United States, for everything it stands for, including the flag, so much so they are recording themselves just sitting and ignoring the national anthem. And by the way, not as a racial protest as well. That chick pans the camera over and I believe the great white whale is sitting next to her. So after security reach for their harpoon, we don't really know what happened afterward, but just as, again, just as a hot tip for all of you kids out there and maybe getting involved in some political writing and stuff. Personally, I wouldn't, you know, record myself sitting for the American flag because that doesn't rally leftists. It just upsets independence and moderates. Again, one of the important things that Democrats will have to learn if they are going to survive the midterms at all. Right now, by the way, according to the polling averages, the direct polling averages on every single average, Democrats are only up on Republicans in the general congressional ballot. It a point a year before midterms. That is nuclear territory for the opposition party. The opposition party in the first year of an administration should be up 5, 10, 15 congressional points in the generic ballot. And in some of these districts right now you have the New York Republican and Democrat and their gubernatorial race, they're now neck and neck. Winsome Sears and Abigail Spanberger, the CIA LGBTQ2IA advocate Lady, they're getting a lot closer in the polls in Virginia. All over the country, a lot of these Democrat campaigns are floundering. And today I had the opportunity to sit across a guy named Malley who was the, I believe the North Carolina program director for Kamala Harris, one of Kamala Harris campaign's leadership in North Carolina. And I was asked about the New Jersey. I did say New Jersey, not New York earlier, right? Did I say New York or Jersey? New Jersey, hot dog. Okay. In the New Jersey gubernatorial race, I was asked, hey, what do you think about this race? Does the Republican have a shot? What do you think about the Naval Academy cheating scandal? What do you think about these things? And I answered the question and then Kelly, the host, threw the question over to my co panelists, the Democratic strategist, who then proceeded to all but read the only line I'm hearing from Democrats right now when they're asked a question they don't want to answer. Well, I don't know about this race but there are people in the country are mad at Donald Trump and the big bad, stinky no good BO bill and it is unpopular and Americans don't like it and that will drag down Republican races. Drink your Ovaltine. It was so awkward to listen to the same pre typed, pre written talking points delivered. The Democrats have nothing. They got nothing. When you have Elizabeth Warren shaking her phone in the car aggressively like a Yorkie in traction, just, I mean it's not really displaying confidence evidence. There's no set policy standard going forward. There's no identity movement moving forward. Right now you have the progressive wing going to war with the corporatist wing. AOC might be getting ready to primary Chuck Schumer, she might just skip that and go straight for the presidential primary neck in a couple of years here. It's wild to see so close again. We are now in the point where a lot of people are announcing their retirements, their sayonaras, their, their, their heading out to pasture, some of them that have been in Congress since the Civil War and the Democrats have nothing in place to replace them. Name one Democrat House candidate that has announced they're running for election, that it like is running to take a seat. Who? Can you name one of them? Anything about them personally? Anyone that you might think would join the squad? The only one that I can think of, or two of them perhaps. Right now there's a former journalist that got planted on her butt in Chicago by an ICE agent and the other one is on camera laughing about Charlie Kirk getting shot because she thinks black people think that's funny or whatever. Yikes, yikes. It doesn't really showcase a high level of confidence. You know, I'm, I'm just kind of hoping that over the next couple of months what we see from Republicans is again considerably specific policy. The Trump administration. The GDP is being revised month to month higher than previously expected. And at this point there does not appear to be any effects of the tariffs on inflation for whatever reasons those may be. That's excellent. That is excellent. That in fact produces the prescriptions, the bedrock for a recovering economy which if it starts to really pick up steam by the time we get to the midterms and there are no major huge policy Changes which for Trump on the economy is really not likely at this point. Well, then I'm not really seeing the big hammer the Democrats are going to swing at Trump. And my evidence for this, all the Democrat strategists that I have watched and, you know, because I do my research when I, before I do interviews, have said that, well, Donald Trump sent out mean tweets to Pam Bondi, like, once about a week and a half ago, and Americans really don't like that. That's terrible. Terrible. How could Trump just go out and indict Comey like that? Guys, a grand jury indicted Comey. And unless you're going to make the claim that Biden, who openly called for Merrick Garland, his attorney general, to go after Trump, and then Merrick Garland and Jack Smith ended up in coordination going after Trump, and then on the other hand, you're saying, well, a grand jury is what, like all of the members of the grand jury are secretly working together with the Department of Justice as employees to. To indict him. I don't think that's going to play. I mean, even C Span, C Splan. C Span, of all places, on the Washington Journal, I believe their, their Washington show, they had a moment over the last week in which a Democrat called in. And I say Democrat called in because on C Span, you have to actually state, like, what party you're representing when you call in here and started to say, well, Comey did everything by the book. And it's actually the host on C Span who says, no, Comey's not pure as the driven snow. David in Maryland, Democratic caller.
Producer Nick
Hi, David. Hello. How are you? Thank you for having me on. I think that, you know Comey, you know, his record speaks for itself. He was a very honorable man who served this country. He did everything by the book. I think he was the prime example of someone you want to direct the FBI. Now, currently we have Cash Patel, who I think is an complete idiot. He's sick. He's a sick man in that position and unqualified. And for Trump to go after Comey at this point is very obvious. The trill that led up to this and his feelings about Comey, and the only mistake Comey ever made was getting involved with Trump.
Tony Kennett
Well, David, how do you respond to this?
Elizabeth Mitchell
This is the Associated press.
Tony Kennett
Back in 2019, according to Inspector general watchdog, Comey violated FBI policies and handling of memos. And this is what the inspector general found. Oh, dude, we need a camera that goes over my shoulder that reads my political screen or my computer screen. Maybe that would be a really bad idea though. He's nodding yes. Okay, maybe we won't do that. Yeah. When you get fact checked, you know, hey, this, this watchdog. To the Associated Press, notable far right wing press publication, the Associated Press notes that Comey did not do things by the book. The difference in this entire situation is that there were a sent, there were essentially a class of individuals who might commit certain crimes that are again, legally like on the book crimes. But, well, you know, when you're in a high position of authority, perhaps something can be misconstrued or you might take a classified document home with you. It's not really super enforced. In every position on this planet, there are things where we go. Yeah, well, like for example, when you are on the interstate and you pass someone on the left and you break the speed limit to pass them on the left in many states, even though it be on the interstate, that's violating the law. But if you are passing to keep the flow of traffic moving, law enforcement might look at you and go, eh, eh, you know, necessary or couldn't be helped. You've ever accidentally run a stop sign or a stoplight? There's a New Castle sheriff in Indiana who I will forever be indebted to for watching me run a red light. And then after watching my face be mortified, realizing I ran a red light in front of a cop, he just went. Because it was like two in the morning and there wasn't a lot of traffic. But, but in this case, regarding the federal level stuff, there was kind of an understanding that you don't do a lot of those shenanigans. And then the Obama administration openly spied on the Trump campaign and accused him of direct collaboration with Vladimir Putin in order to win the 2016 election. When the intelligence community actually assessed in all reality that Russia sat on information that would have destroyed Hillary Clinton.
Producer Nick
Clinton.
Tony Kennett
That she was a rampant emotional. I know, shocker. Hillary Clinton, a rampant emotional, who was taking tranquilizers, popping them like quaaludes in the 80s. Didn't say anything. Sorry. My production team is, is essentially saying, you told Comey to, to plead the fifth and shut up, but yet you admit to breaking the law live on air. Well, you know, I'm sure that this tape will be brought up before my hearing if I'm ever appointed to any cap cabinet positions. But in, in short summary, though, when the Biden administration, the Obama administration chose to directly prosecute and indict again in Trump's first term, essentially a lot of it was like, let bygones be bygones. Sure, they did a lot of gross stuff, but we're just kind of gonna let it go because we're gonna move forward. Biden then steps into office, and then Merrick Garland, super butthurt over not being able to be the Supreme Court justice he wanted to be now, as the temporary sort of Attorney general, then use that to go after Trump and his allies. And you had people like Steve Bannon being thrown into prison for contempt of Congress, which people haven't been thrown into prison for, for like a century. You had federal laws being broken into 32 separate parts and tried at the state level, which had never been done before. You had Jean Carroll, you had the statutory limit on her situation, her lawsuit against Trump completely thrown out. A brand new statute of limitations limitations written just for that case to argue that, well, yeah, sure, the statute of limitations has been dropped, but this lady who says that she only wants to hurt Trump and that she'll do anything to hurt him, well, when he says, I think Gene's lying, see, that's actually abuse. And that makes him liable for saying bad things about a rape that he's outside of statute of limitations to be tried on. And that her stories changed like six times on. So when Trump got back in office and said, hmm, look at all of these cases of mortgage fraud. Look at all of these cases of lying before Congress on videotape under oath, directly confirmable. We have a lot of Democrats and moderate Republicans going, oh, no, don't, don't get out there and indict them over small stuff. We're supposed to be above that, guys. We were supposed to be above that in 2012. We're supposed to be above that back in 2006. And I'm afraid to tell you, this ain't the odds. It ain't the teens. The rules have changed. And the only way we are going to back down off of this in a mutually assured, destructive standpoint is for some of the people who participated in the political prosecutions to face the punishment for the minor crimes that they have directly, inadvertently committed. I'm sorry, you can't really fake or accident your way into a, a case of mortgage fraud. If you have three properties, you're signed, you're going to, or, excuse me, you own two properties and you're grabbing a third and you're, you're going to sign a couple of mortgage documents about it, and you just so happen to list the state with the lowest particular mortgage rates and laws as your primary residence. That's not an oh, that's violating the law. And if you are Letitia James or Adam Schiff and you are going to say, I demand every single law out there, everywhere, all of the laws apply to everyone, honey. That goes both ways. It goes both ways. And for those saying Trump isn't that let's, you know, need bygones be bygones. Well, given that now we have shootings every two days that are based on the shooting from two days ago. You know, I just kind of don't feel like doing the whole bygones be bygones thing anymore. If we're going to do this, let's do it, do it right and then be done with it. It that's just this Hoosiers hot take here at the end of the show. So really appreciate those hopping by this week. Really appreciate. Y' all, remember, if you have if you submitted a form to participate in the Megyn Kelly Live show giveaway, we have picked, well, randomly picked the winners. And you need to check your email if you send something in because about half of the winners have not checked their email. And we have to get the ticket numbers over over to the Megyn Kelly people. We don't want to keep them waiting. So in order to actually get your tickets, a pair of tickets, by the way, for you and your lover or, you know, if you're Ilhan Omar, your brother, you know, pick those up. We want to get them to you. So answer the email, answer the call. We'll see you on Monday. Great to have you here as always. It's the Tony Kennett cast here on the Daily Signal, nationally syndicated and first on 93 WIBC. Tony Kennett’s cast delivers an unvarnished, deeply skeptical view of both political extremes, focusing on the week’s top stories in law, politics, and protest.
The Supreme Court’s foreign aid decision, Chicago’s chaotic ICE protests, and the indictment of James Comey highlight a country deeply divided not just ideologically, but on what constitutes law, decency, and justice.
Kennett’s irreverent tone and incisive humor make the seriousness of the news more accessible—if sometimes bracing. His skepticism toward “establishment” narratives and relentless critique of political hypocrisy are threaded throughout, with robust exchanges from expert guests and on-the-ground correspondents.
