The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has overruled earlier bans attempting to stop the Trump administration from deploying the National Guard to Portland, Oregon.

Let's get down to business. You're listening to the Tony Kennett cast on 93 WIBC on CYTV, here on the Daily Signal. Good evening and welcome to the Tony Kennett cast here on the Daily Signal, nationally syndicated, first on 93 WIBC. We start off with a piece of news you haven't heard. And I mean it. You haven't heard this covered on any major outlet. I know Fox covered it right after it happened. A major mass shooting at the Atlanta International Airport was prevented today. Oh, you haven't heard anything out of. On the media? Oh, sorry. We only cover mass shootings that are successful. And when law enforcement fails and when community networks fail and when we find out people knew things later and after the fact that not doing that, we're gonna start off praising the Atlanta law enforcement, the Georgia bureau of the FBI. We're gonna take this right. Including the man's family who reportedly reported him. So a felon who should not have had a gun. He was violating gun laws by having an AR15 in his car. He was sitting outside the Atlanta airport, believe it or not, parking where you know when you, you pull up to the airport and there's always an officer who's complaining that you didn't drop off or pick up whoever it was in about 36 seconds. Yeah, that's the officer that ended up discovering this guy here. From the FOX News reporting, quote, police found the felon inside the airport and found the AR15 while searching his car, end quote. So he had left his car there outside the airport and then was strolling through the kind of lobby intro, ticketing area of Atlanta before you get to security. This is also a quote from the Fox article. The Felon did a FaceTime call telling his family his plans to shoot up the Atlanta airport. Someone reportedly notified the police, who then found the suspect's car outside the airport. It was blocking traffic. So first of all, all of the props in the world to this particular family. This is correct. All. I'd never turn in my family if they. No, no, no, no. Prevent tragedies like this. If you see something, say something. Thank God for the family who reported it. Thank God for the police who took it seriously. For the FBI who sent people right to the airport. And now this is being fully investigated because it should be so. This is a tragedy that has been prevented. Praise God. May his name be blessed. Now moving on to the other parts of news today, the National Guard is finally on their way to Portland. So we do have to, well, offer our finest condolences to Judge Karen Immergut, who had previously designated herself as the commander in chief of the armed forces, by which she said that actually, Donald Trump can't send the National Guard to federal places and federal property in Portland. That's very bad. Even though there's nothing at all in the Constitution or any legal precedent that suggests the President of the United States does not have the ability to send active federalized troops to federal property. So she filed this beautiful injunction, this block, and the Trump administration immediately said appeals court, excuse me, por favor. I don't believe that that's constitutional. Can you slap a stay on there like a sticker tag at a TJ Maxx? And boy, did the Ninth Circuit of Appeals deliver. Now, this upset no one more than, well, you guessed it, legacy media. They were really kerfuffled about this one. And when they were really kerfuffled about. Oh, I'm sorry, what was that? Oh, you wanted to know what Portland looks like on the ground? Oh, well, sure. I'm glad to play this for you here because since the no Kings protests, Portland's gotten even worse. Here's the footage from Nick Sordor. Looks lovely. Protesters, rioters running up, chucking the tear gas back at the police officers. This is just like when the, what's her name, the, the lady who looks like every old liberal lady. The governor of Oregon or the mayor of, of Portland or Seattle. I don't know, they all look the same.
Jim Paf
Was.
Producer Nick
This is right where they were filming, saying, hey, everything's wonderful and lovely here. Doesn't that look wonderful and lovely? Keep that in your head because here's that MSNBC correspondent Lisa Rubin. She's their legal correspondent, clearly shaken by the Circuit Court of Appeals. I can't believe they'd send the National Guard there.
Tony Kennett
It is a big deal. And I want to just correct one thing and then explain why. Functional it is the same. This is a stay of Judge Immigrate's opinion, and that's why it reached the 9th Circuit as soon as it did, because this is an emergency motion to, to essentially pause her order. But as a functional matter, you are absolutely correct. It has the function of overturning her order and thereby allowing the President to send the National Guard back onto the streets of Portland. And Katie, I want to read if I can, just from a little bit of the beginning of this 93 page opinion. It says after considering the record. And by the record, they mean all the factual evidence. At this preliminary stage, we conclude that it is likely that the President lawfully exercised his statutory authority under 10 USC section 124 06. That's the stat.
Producer Nick
Oh, no way. You mean the President of the United States, you know, followed the law like he. I thought he was a king. I thought he was a dictator and a fascist and a Nazi. This man even listens to Judge Karen, who screams at the top of her lungs. More Merlot? No, sorry. That's when she's out at restaurants with her family and friends. No, no, no. When Judge Karen got up in front of the country and said, no National Guard, no pomegranates. When. When she gets out there and screams, the Trump administration said, okay, fine. In the meantime, we'll sling a little appeal up, and if the appeals court gets cold feet, we'll sling it up to the Supreme Court and watch Clarence Thomas crack his knuckles menacingly. God bless him. So stay tuned. I'm excited for some of the footage that we're going to get from the National Guard showing up to Portland. Um, I am sure that when they do so we will have Nick sort or over on the ground. We'll bring him on again, of course. So this brings us to the amazing, amazing update of news from the day that the Senate has once again decided not to reopen the government. It's the same voting record right down the line. Senator Cortez Masto of Nevada, Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, and Senator Angus King of Maine, two Democrats. And an independent who always caucuses with the Democrats, says, no, no, no, we're not reopening the government. No way, no how. So at this point, Republicans have actually been creative. There is this argument from liberal pundits that has been shuffled all around the Internet, like when a kid catches the chickenpox, it gets everywhere. They have been trying to make the case that Republicans are obstinate and they're not working with Democrats and they're not coming to the table at this point. House Republicans, which is where the budget has to start, have now put forward six different measures to try to get Democrats on board. Six different measures. One of them, of course, we've talked about. Representative Mike Lawler, moderate from New York, who had basically put forward a separate bill that says, okay, we got to pass the clean cr. Here's some extensions on those Obamacare subsidies. They just cannot go to illegal immigrants. The state can't swap them out, essentially. So, Hakeem Jeffries, as you'll remember Yelled, who are you working for? In his face for about seven minutes in front of the cameras, and then marched off in a staggered fashion, somehow more stilted than his speech. And then Republicans put forward a series of other bills, including a new one that was just going to pay federal troops and essential workers like, you know, air traffic controllers. Actually, just. I know we're having this fight. We're having a little arm wrestling match. Hakeem, what do you say? Know, letting bygones be bygones just for a minute, so that we can send this temporary funding measure up to the Senate. It's got some bipartisan support in the House because there are a lot of swing district Democrats who are getting very, very nervous. And here was Hakeem Jeffries, you know, just not having any of it.
Tony Kennett
Thank you, Mr. Leader. This week, the Senate is expected to vote on legislation that will pay Federal employees and U.S. service members who've been working throughout the shutdown. Do you encourage your Democratic colleagues to support this when it comes on the floor?
Jim Paf
It's my understanding that that is not a comprehensive bill that actually is designed to reopen the government.
Producer Nick
Correct. It is literally a measure to pay the troops. While we argue about the shutdown. That would. That would be like something falling apart, and someone runs up with some duct tape and saying, hey, look, I know that you want to fix this, you know, piece of furniture, but the cabinet's about to fall off the wall. Would you like this brace? That just keeps it up there for now so all of Mama's fine China doesn't fall on the kitchen floor. And Hakeem goes, actually, that doesn't seem like a comprehensive approach to fixing the cabinet. And in the background, you see the cabinets falling down and all of the dishes tumbling across the kitchen floor. Incredible. Sorry. I want to play the rest of his extremely impressive professor answer here, while.
Jim Paf
At the same time addressing the issues that need to be confronted on behalf of the American people, which include lowering the cost of living and.
Producer Nick
Oh, I thought it was health care. Why now is it lowering the high cost of living? Boy, we've real shifted on that real quick, haven't we've? Pivoted like a lazy Susan on Thanksgiving. My goodness. Radio crew, we're gonna send you guys to the commercial so I don't get an FCC fine. We're gonna continue on the live stream. It's the Tony Kinnit cast here on the Daily Signal. I'll let him continue, and then I want to get your thoughts on this.
Jim Paf
Producer Nick decisively addressing the Republican healthcare Crisis. So it's not legislation that I support because it appears to be more like a political ploy to pick and choose, giving Donald Trump discretion which employees should be compensated and which employees should not be compensated. All employees should be compensated. And that will happen when we reopen the government.
Producer Nick
Oh, so I love that he just says he admits to shutting the government down. That will happen when we reopen the government. So we're back to the hot hostage taking. Excellent stuff. Excellent stuff. Um, by the way, in case you were curious, this is absolutely not helping the Democrats, you say? How do you know? Well, Harry Enten over at cnn, who, in fact, reads the numbers. He's got some data that's not looking too hot for the Democrats. Again, a year out from the midterms.
Jim Paf
About Donald Trump shutdown's net approval rating.
Producer Nick
We're talking 20 days into it in.
Jim Paf
2018, slash 2019, Donald Trump's net approval rating was. Was already falling. The shutdown was eating into its popular support. It was down three points already at this particular point and would fall considerably more. It was very much on the decline. You come over to this side of the screen. This shutdown hasn't eaten into Donald Trump support at all. His net approval rating is actually up.
Producer Nick
A point in terms of his popular support. So the bottom line is this.
Jim Paf
The first shutdown during Trump's first term, 2018, 2019, was hurting Donald Trump. This one is not hurting him at all. There's no.
Producer Nick
Oh, wait, why? How could that be? Why could that be? Because it's who's doing the shutdown. All right, so for all of the naysayers and conspiracy theorists out there who don't seem to understand how this one works, allow me to give you a very simple hand. The Republican Party has the majority in the Senate. They have the majority in the House, but they do not have enough of a majority to pass whatever they want by just fiat. They don't have 60 votes. And so they put forward a clean resolution from the House that had Republican and Democrat support on it, sent it over to the Senate, and then said, all right, let's just get this out of the way right here, right now. Then we'll argue about other stuff. And three Democrats, two and a half Democrats, because Angus King is an independent who always votes with the Democrats on, like, standard policy issues. They voted in favor of the clean resolution. So you have Republicans, except for Rand Paul, which just doesn't like spending. Ever. Understandable. Principled libertarian is going to. Principled libertarian, and then you've got the entire Republican caucus under Thune, and then three Democrats, two and a half Democrats. Now, they push that through to the point where they get 60 votes and the government reopens. The holdouts are who are blamed for the shutdown. And it's always holdouts over these principled things. Republicans tried to do this in the first Trump administration. They tried to pass through. There was this group of Republicans who said, no, I want less spending. And me too, bud. But, you know, read the room. And it looked bad because there were Republicans who were kicking and screaming. That's why the White House released all of this footage from the first Trump term where you had Democrats like Chuck Schumer going. It's bad when Republicans kick and scream and they don't just vote the bill through. Mm, excellent stuff. Producer Nick, what do you think of Fakim's sprightly rants, similar to some of Chuck Schumer's rants?
Correspondent Angelina
What they're not saying tells a lot more than what they are saying there. I think if you rephrase some of what Hakeem said, we don't want to pass these stopgap measures because it takes away our leverage. They want people to go without money because that drives down people's opinions of Donald Trump, because they see where the paychecks come from and the failure of them to get to the people that need them.
Producer Nick
Now, I got some good news. The savior of the Democrat Party is here, and it's not aoc. You know, talking about a nice glass of drinkable water from a, you know, drinkable air. Excuse me, don't want to misquote the representative from the burning rivers of rural Cleveland, but it is from the most beloved Democrat senator. Oh, no, no, not John Fetterman. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts. The boldest and bravest Native American ever to serve in Congress. Yes. Who answers yes votes with how? Not I. So we're going to bring the radio crew back from commercial and talk about her brave, bold, beautiful protest. It's the Tony Kennett cast. This is the Tony Kennett cast on 93 WYPC. Welcome back to the Tony Kennett Cast. Not funded by dark money organizations, by George Soros, the Tides foundation, you know, all of those other organizations we're going to get to in a second because after the no Kings protests proved how beautifully peaceful Portland was, you know, weird people in furry suits and those, like, inflatable animal costumes getting smacked by pepper balls and, you know, of course, all of the disgustingness, Elizabeth Warren stood head and shoulders above everyone else on her Native American soapbox. And she led the way, yelling about not having kings. All right, cool. But the next day, she's out here whining about the most important thing of all. And it really upsets me because she tries to get out here and claim to be some type of amazing. Well, you'll see. Elizabeth Warren.
Tony Kennett
Donald Trump fired nearly every employee in the special education office at the Department of Education. Not an exaggeration. You know, I started out as a special ed teacher. I cannot imagine how the parents of those kids are feeling.
Producer Nick
Elizabeth Warren was a special education teacher. She was an aide to a teacher for one year after college in 1970, with an emergency certificate before she would go to law school. She has consistently, by the way, I just want to make this rather clear here. She has always opted, when possible, not to serve on any kind of education committee. She has also made it a priority to say the wrong thing about education theory, pedagogy, curriculum, always. She's horrible. Now, Tony, what authority do you have to say this? Because, and I want to make this clear, I had a special education license when I was in the state of Indiana. I had one because of these people, because you would have goobers and I taught next to one when I was at Knightstown, who would come in and would clutch their pearls and preen and try to make it so the kid who didn't need a disability plan or an iep, an individualized education plan that just suffered from poor discipline and maybe some bad parenting, that that kid needed all of these extra privileges to disrupt everyone's classroom. Then I was able to pull out my special education license and say, you don't know what you're talking about. So, Elizabeth, Mitch, excuse me. Elizabeth Warren is extremely mad because the Trump administration has put on furlough. The special education office at the Department of Education right now.
Tony Kennett
Panic, scared, worried for their little one, and rightfully so. Make no mistake, these firings aren't happening because of the government shutdown. It was Donald Trump's plan all along. He said from the start, we're going.
Producer Nick
To get a Project 2025 reference, the Department of Education.
Tony Kennett
It was written right there in Project 2025.
Producer Nick
That was me. That was me. I was the guy who helped craft the language in Project 2025 right here in dismantling the Department of Education. And as I and others who wrote in the education section of literally just a menu of ideas made it very clear, the reason that the special Education department in the U.S. department of Education doesn't need to exist is because it doesn't Help kids with special needs. It was the special education department that advocated extremely strongly to get kids out of specialized environments. For them were kids with a certain kind of autism or a certain kind of Asperger's or a certain kind of life skills, advanced retardation or a certain kind of neurological overstimulation kind of autism. Many different kinds of learning disabilities. They were taken from specific environments with trained individuals for them, and they were shoved into classrooms where the kids don't have a chance. You say, how do you know that? Two of the students whom I loved dearly at Knightstown when I first started teaching, dearly to the point, by the way, the mother of one of them cut my hair when I was little. I knew these kids and their families and they didn't belong in my classroom. They didn't. They were often lost and confused. It would take extra time for me to explain things to them. If one of them would have an emotional episode, it would throw the entire class class out of whack. And the 28 other students that had to stop while the two students who were life skill special needs students had to be accommodated. Ruined the rest of the education environment. You say what? You don't care about special education children? I care about all children in my classroom when I was a teacher, getting what they deserved. And that means special education students being put in areas where people with their similar disabilities can work with someone who has, you guessed it, that type of training. Here's the best part. The special education office has no contact, no curriculum, no guidance for public schools around the country in sped. They're not. They're just money pushers and grant assignees. And these grant assignees are to NGOs and other nonprofits that have done bleep all for students struggling with special needs. Now, this brings us over to the rest of the anger over the weekend because we're going to get to the no kings nonsense in a minute. Right now, the left is furious over the beginning of the ballroom construction in the White House. So to remind everyone, just because, you know, it's good to keep up on certain things, the presidential administration, through Donald Trump announced that they were going to be building a ballroom attached to the White House so that the White House could host state dinners. This has long been an issue in the White House and by the way, for all of the internationalists and the globalists, if we're going to have world leaders over, then maybe actually being in a place where we can host those speaks well to the country and the preening and the whining and the screaming on social media was just endless. This is the East Wing of the White House today. For those who are listening on radio or podcast, it's just the White House on the East Wing has started to be torn away. There's like a backhoe that's out there doing a little scoopy scooping. Says if you ever, ever took a tour, you entered here. Trump is destroying our history to build himself a ballroom. Stop the madness. That Simpson's clip. Watch someone think of the children. This photo is free to use. Just credit me, Joe Flood. Okay, Joe Flood, you're an imbecile now. And I didn't just stop with noted photographer and brilliant genius Joe Flood, Jim Acosta. Key of the crying and weeping and gnashing of teeth in the White House press room. He says, so any president can just start destroying portions of the White House. Is that how this works? And then he quotes the Washington Post. White House begins demolishing the East Wing facade, literally just the front section of the building, to build Trump's ballroom. Now, a couple of fun facts here. Just, you know, just for a good hoot. The White House has essentially been changed by every presidential administration ever, not just being burnt down by the British. So to give you a few of these great historic. Since we're concerned about our history. Teddy Roosevelt built the West Wing. There was no West Wing before Teddy Roosevelt built it. Howard Taft made the executive office an oval. It wasn't always an oval. FDR added the entire east wing in 1942. And by the way, he included an indoor pool for himself. Truman gutted the entire White House. It is considered to this day one of the greatest architectural disasters of all time. Because, you know, that meme of the beautiful painting, maybe it's a fresco, a mural of Jesus Christ and Mary holding him after his crucifixion. And there was someone brought in to restore the painting. And it is just a horror show of what they did to the face of Mary and Jesus. So what Truman did to the White House, because it needed it, was getting kind of rickety. He essentially came in and ruined a bunch of things that had to be fixed later. Nixon added a bowling alley, because Nixon is quickly turning into the most underrated president of the 20th century. Obama added a basketball court. And now Trump is what? Oh, he's building a ballroom. That's it. Trump's building a ballroom that he's not even gonna get to enjoy. And, oh, here's the best part. He's funding it all either himself with his personal Money or through donors to the, to the ballroom. And now the media narrative behind it is, well, they're gonna be permanently memorialized for their contributions. Have you ever been in any building that's been donated to ever? My goodness. At my university, my tiny Christian university in Wisconsin, they did an alumni plaza and I, as a college student bought a brick and put on it. Tony Kennett nest is best because our, our fraternity was the Golden Eagles and that was like something we shouted at games. So like, come on, get out of here. I'm not gonna, I'm just not upset about this as much as everyone else seems to be. We gotta shift over to commercial. We'll be back in a second with the live portion of the radio show. It's the Tony Kennett cast. Boy, that was a really chunky, gunky way to say that. You're supposed to sign out at the end of radio sections. That's why I do that. I promise. Although there are a few of you who find that obnoxious. This is so that we give you more show during the show and we don't again force you to watch a four minute commercial break between the segments. Now, President Trump, when he was at a, he was, I believe, handing out some jerseys to a couple of baseball teams. Today, he spoke on the Trump Ballroom and well, here you go.
Jim Paf
Because I didn't want to crack a thousand. I didn't want people to get concerned because that's getting big. But we're going to have, we'll have the most beautiful ballroom in the country. It's going. And for those that are interested, we got to get back to baseball. But you see the gold drapes, That's a knockout panel. We knock it in, you go, that comes out and then you have essentially glass and. Exactly. In the decor of the White House. I didn't know I'd be standing here right now because right on the other side, side you have a lot of construction going on, which you might hear periodically.
Producer Nick
But I recognize the, the LSU there in the bottom. He was with two teams though. He was with lsu and, well, like lsu, Shreveport, I think. I don't, I don't, I don't want to quote, but yes, the Trump administration talking about the ballroom, a very good thing for the United States. It's totally fine for the image of the United states in Washington, D.C. to continue to grow and to build. And thank God Obama didn't glue whatever his architectural monstrosity is to it. Presidential library. We'll get to that in a little bit though, because, oh, the LSU Tigers and then LSU Shreveport. Thanks, producer Nick. So this brings us to the last administration because there's a lot of people complaining that Trump is old and he's full of himself. Well, Karine Jean Pierre of the way. Worse than Carolyn Levitt in every way. Press secretary Carolyn, Excuse me, Karine Jean Pierre, whose most historical historicalness achievements were A, dressing like spirit, Halloween, Al Capone and then B, being black and lesbian. According to her, those are like achievements for her. Impressive. She's now going on a media tour because even she has a book. And first up, she gets on with Tim Miller at the Bulwark. Not a right wing group at all. And has a little bit of an awkward moment when Tim asks her about the Biden talking to the press versus Trump. It's a very awkward moment, but it's worth it.
Tony Kennett
We did have legislative wins.
Jim Paf
Sure.
Producer Nick
And he didn't talk about them that well. So he couldn't talk about. Wait.
Tony Kennett
First of all, first of all, he did talk about them. Whether it broke through or not. He did. Tim. He did talk about.
Producer Nick
So of course, Tim is pointing out accurately here. Well, you know, he had legislative wind, sure. But he never spoke about them with the press because he was an incoherent corpse. Way less to the press than Donald Trump does. Way less. And he wasn't out there at all. He wasn't good off the cuff. So he says, you know, Trump talks to the press way more than Biden did off the cuff. And now Karine, because God forbid, she just says, yeah, you're right there and moves on. There's this kind of people who argue, who can never let the other side have a point. So no matter what they say, they're called a liar. Look at her response to this. He wasn't doing press conferences. Let's just be real. Like he didn't do main events.
Tony Kennett
That's not true, Tim. You're conflating all of it. That's what you're. No, you're first you're telling me he didn't talk well about it. Then you're telling me he didn't talk at all.
Producer Nick
He didn't do either. He didn't talk very often. And when he did, it wasn't very good. He sounded very old.
Tony Kennett
You weren't paying attention to what we were doing at the White House.
Producer Nick
But I paid attention that. I'm with you on the policies. I'm talking about his performance.
Tony Kennett
The president, the president spoke to the American people a couple times a week. He traveled and did domestic travel and talked directly to the American people.
Producer Nick
So what she's making the case is that Biden walking out, excuse me, shuffling out to Air Force One or Marine One, when a reporter would shout a question, when Biden would go, oh, I throw you into the cage. That's the same as Donald Trump going, you know, I just don't think that right now we're going to deal with Hamas killing civilians and also ABC News sucks and Rosie o' Donnell can stay in Ireland for all I care. And then he would take questions for 3, 4, 5 minutes, then go on to Air Force One and take questions for two hours. Then he would get back and he would host a press conference. He would answer any questions and still does answer any questions with world leaders. Trump, you can say one thing about Trump more than anything else. That man is aggressively transparent. Biden would go, shut up. And that's all you'd hear from him for a week and a half. We got to bring the radio crew from commercial. It's Tony Kennedcast. You're listening to the Tony Kennett cast on 93 WIBC. All right, so while the National Guard is on their way to Portland, Oregon, and I really can't wait, by the way, producer Nick, to find out if it's the Oregon National Guard, if it's the California National Guard, if the Indiana governor Braun and to the adjutant general, just, just a moment here. If the Indiana National Guard is set to deploy to Portland, I will absolutely shave the beard, get the haircut, go in, we'll do this. Please, I'll do whatever it takes. I would love, love to be with the Indiana National Guard in Portland. Okay. Just a, just a fun fact. Just cool idea for you and the boys. Now, that said, the no Kings protests right before we've already shown footage, they weren't exactly peaceful and lovable and joyful in Portland. Now, there were a lot of cities where there were a lot of people who showed up. And people noticed that there were essentially two different categories of people who showed up to the no Kings protests. So first of all, there were the really elderly, angry liberals. Now, there's nothing wrong with being up there in age, nothing wrong with being long in the tooth at all. Nothing wrong with going to protest in your old age at all. Have no issue with that whatsoever. I do find it funny, though, that all of the old liberals who show up to protests act like petulant children. There is something to be said for the quiet resoluteness of the older generations of the United States, the silent generation, the boomers, even Some of Generation X now getting up through the Middle Ages, there are those who hold a quiet respect and they command wisdom. And I must say that even on the left, occasionally when they step forward and they speak it, it can be pretty good. I, I'm no, no issue with that at all, especially if it's in protest. But if you get out there and you do a weird folk song singing thing, it's cringy. If you get out there and, and as some of these individuals did scream about Trump being a king and that you want rise up revolution stuff or whatever like I guess George Conway did, it's just. Yeah, it's like when some, it's like when a dude or a gal hits like 65, 70 and they start dressing young, you know what I'm saying? And it's just like, I don't know, man. I think you earn the right to wear the high waisted pants and the flannel. Heck, half the time that's what I'm wearing. So in contrast, I give you from Justine Brooke Murray from the Media Research center, who provides a lot of our clips to us. They have made a little compilation here of how much of a king they think Trump is. Although they can't explain why at some of these incredible no Kings rally protest things. Here you go.
Tony Kennett
This is not a Halloween parade. This is the hashtag no Kings protest in.
Producer Nick
I can't believe I almost forgot, because there was a second group. They're not just the elderly. There's like the young antifa crowd who showed up and said, yes, I'm antifa. And then they dressed up in weird outfits like furry suits and balloon things and they did really weird crap and they did dances and whatnot, which again is fine as long as I don't have to see Representative Hank Johnson doing that. Anyway, here's the no Kings protesters.
Tony Kennett
Our nation's capital. We try to ask people what makes President Trump a king and why they are protesting him. Some of them can't seem to elaborate on why this is called the no Kings protest. Is there any specific monarchist positions you believe makes President Trump a king?
Producer Nick
I love the ski mask with goggles and then bunny ears. That's really nice. You liking these?
Tony Kennett
Yes, everything he's doing because he has, he has combined all the branches of government and put them.
Jim Paf
They're kind of all with him.
Correspondent Angelina
Now.
Tony Kennett
Is there anything in particular you believe makes President Trump a king? No, and he shouldn't try to imitate one either. It's a no king's protest.
Producer Nick
Yes, it is. I think that's more of a metaphor. All the law. It's a metaphor. You know, it's a metaphor. It's an allegory. It's kind of like a cool, hip, joyful saying.
Jim Paf
Listeness.
Producer Nick
Breaking laws.
Tony Kennett
Which laws?
Producer Nick
I mean, name it, name one.
Tony Kennett
Any certain.
Producer Nick
He's opening my mail. Trump is outside.
Correspondent Angelina
He's impersonating a police officer.
Producer Nick
Right next to the stop sign.
Correspondent Angelina
He pretended to be a McDonald's worker.
Producer Nick
He was, he was loud outside my house at 10:05. And he's like, tony, I know you're sleeping. He had a speaker playing Edicts, like in part. He's taking tags off mattresses. Nick. He's.
Correspondent Angelina
It's like, do not remove the.
Tony Kennett
I'm drawing a complete blank.
Producer Nick
You're drawing a complete blank. Wow, that's wonderful. After all of those gender hormones, you'll be shooting them too. All right, now, Moving, moving right along here. Shooting blanks. It's an infertility. I'm sorry, maybe not the best Jason joke. You know, my mouth moves faster than my mind at some times. Moving, moving along before I get in more trouble. Then there's the crew again. I told you. The older, ish kind of folks who tried to act like the young radical progressives. Angelina, our correspondent in D.C. this clip got shared around quite a bit. Was trying to argue why Charlie Kirk, the father and free speech activist at the Utah school, being assassinated was a good thing. Like he deserved it. Had it coming. Here you go.
Tony Kennett
Recently with Charlie Kirk being assassinated. They're a piece of garbage. Of course we were mean. I am so tired of people saying, oh, but you know, it's a terrible thing. No, Hitler is dead. I'm glad Hitler's dead. Something, something that I've heard in interviewing Republicans is that they're concerned with the health care going to undocumented immigrants. What would you say about that? I don't know that it's true. Everybody deserves health care and we can certainly afford it in this country. So again, they're just, you know, they're pointing to things and saying it's our fault, we're too liberal.
Producer Nick
I mean, yeah, the left wing guy who shot Charlie Kirk, I'd say that is in fact his fault. Yeah. The antifa crowds that immediately came out and claimed responsibility for it and encouraged more of it and those that have committed similar crimes since then. Yeah, I'd say they have. And again, this is the weird, just openly disgusting nature of some of these particular protests. This brings us to perhaps one of the most disgusting examples in which a woman was seen on social media, essentially pantomiming Charlie Kirk getting shot in the neck as vehicles were driving by. It's really disgusting. This is in Chicago. Here you go. All right. Really disgusting. Really gross. She's holding the Mexican flag because nothing says you love America like holding a different country's flag, waving it, and supposedly no king. American protest producer Nick Mexico, a country.
Correspondent Angelina
That'S never had a king.
Producer Nick
Oh, well, you know, a couple emperors here and there, but whoops.
Correspondent Angelina
It's a metaphor.
Producer Nick
It's a metaphor. Yeah, like, you know, taking the tags off mattresses. Yeah. All right, so this lady, her name is Lucy Martinez, and it turns out that she's an elementary teacher at Nathan Hale Elementary School in Chicago's public school system. You know, it is a little disturbing how a lot of these people who are the most vocal and disgusting turn out to be college professors and elementary school teachers and child therapists and counselors. It's. I'm gonna say that's a. You know, kind of kidding on the square. Now, at this point, it should be pointed out the school has now wiped out all of her online presence, her there, her presence from, like, pictures on their X Twitter page, official website, everything. No official statement from the school has been issued. So I very much hope she enjoys the unemployment line. So that brings us over to the claims made by the left, because they were out celebrating how many people were there. And the right said, look, there's a little. There's something here that's a little bit suspicious. So you guys were, like, really, really organized for this. And I don't just mean really organized in the way that, like, the March for Life is organized. We have a lot of people. They get together, they shout, they walk down the street. You know, maybe someone gives an impromptu couple of speeches or there's a platform at one end organized. I mean, they had people doing, like, coordinated improv dance, which. Coordinated and improv don't really go together. They had people, like, lining up to form weird letter combinations and things. And people said, look, okay, maybe a lot of people were interested again. After all, half the country hates Trump. People came out, sure, I bet this was, like, funneled in with a lot of money. I'm talking a lot of money. And the left came out and mocked this and said, well, you think that we have to be paid for this? Here was Whoopi Goldberg whining about an AI video that Trump made, dumping poop on the no Kings protestors in New York and then saying, well, they think that billionaires Are finding this. That's just ridiculous. Here's Whoopi.
Jim Paf
Okay, so despite his claim that he doesn't want to be king, he also posted an AI video wearing a crown and dumping feces on protesters. A lot of Republicans claim that these are paid protesters.
Producer Nick
Again, listen to the. The older liberal ladies in the crowd after seeing the AI video going, oh my stars. Incredible radio crew. We got to send you to the commercial. We're going to continue on the live stream. It's the Tony Kenneth cast.
Jim Paf
Is there not real Americans exercising their rights to free speech and peaceful assembly? 7 million people. Nobody paid anybody.
Producer Nick
Nobody paid anybody. Remember that.
Jim Paf
I mean, the only people getting paid are the people who are in government right now because government shut down. They're the only ones who are getting money.
Producer Nick
And then even, well, Congress is. Whoopi, just shut, stop, stop talking. Well, wouldn't you know it, it appears, just so happens we do in fact have some of those particular documents showing exactly who donated money directly to these no Kings protests. The Arabella Strategy Group in DC, $79 million. Warren Buffett, $16 million. The Ford Foundation, $51 million. Rockefeller's foundations, $26 million. George Soros. Uh huh, $72 million. And the Tides Foundation, $45 million. In total, $294 million. $487,641. That's a lot of money. That is mucho dinero, as the Mexican flag waivers might say. And I must, I must agree, that's a lot of. That's a lot of money. And look, political actions, protests, rallies, things. Yeah, there's money involved. Of course, you gotta buy stage equipment, maybe you have to pay for permits. I get it, I hear you. But if you're gonna get out there and say this is some magical grassroots, everyone just woke up one day and decided they were all gonna, you know, hop on down to city hall and cheer on, you know, no Kings protest and things. They can't name why they're doing it, but they are there after tons of money has been spent on these organizations themselves. And what are the individual organizations sponsoring it that may not have a ton of money, but still made it clear they were going to sponsor it? Well, you had groups like the Denver Communists who are, you know, out there posting signs that said Charlie Kirk had it coming. Change my mind. Disgusting people, by the way. You can see they look like communists. You have the weird long haired skinny dude who looks malnourished, he's preparing for the bread lines. And then the guy behind him with the Mustache doing a salute halfway up the bridge of his eyebrow. So I just hope and pray that a good sergeant from Benning finds him. So that stuff aside, who else is involved in this? Well, if we look at the no Kings protest sponsor chart in New York City, we have a couple of cool groups. The Freedom Socialist Party, the Young Communist League of New York, the New York City Democrat Socialists of America, all of these various. The Communist Party of the usa. You can see down there in the bottom left if you're watching. I'm just amazed. Look at all of these various communist organizations. And then you have guys like David French, the columnists who come out and say, guys, it was really peaceful and amazing and just really proud of such a huge gap between scary GOP rhetoric and the completely peaceful rally. Yeah, calling for murder, justifying murder, laughing about said murder. And then, you know, Communist parties openly advocating for the overthrow of the United States government. It sounds more like the stuff that the right wing has been warning of is definitively true. Definitively true. You don't have to go on any mystical, you know, red yarn conspiracy hunts for this stuff either. Now we're going to swing over to the other major issue rocking the country right now. That's CDL licensure from California. Trust me, major crisis stuff. Don't go anywhere. It's the Tony Kenneth cast. The Tony Kenneth cast on 93 WIBC. You know that we love you guys because Jim Paf and I have gone through three different streaming methods to make this stupid thing happen today. Because we know you just hold. We know as well as you know, technology is built on bubble gum and duct tape. And so we have forged the way for it to happen. Jim Paf, president of the Conservative Caucus. Thanks for joining us finally and thank.
Jim Paf
You AWS for causing us to be creative.
Producer Nick
Yeah, really appreciate the cholera that your servers are currently going through. So. All right, I've got one big thing that I have taken notice of that I know you are going to have a hot take on right now. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy, not out on maternity leave just to, you know, frame him up against old Pete. He is currently withholding $40 million from Gavin Newsom's California. Because California doesn't check if their cdl, their semi truck drivers can speak English or read roadway signs or drive. It is these big 18 wheelers that we see in our roadways. But these are drivers who can drive your school bus as well. Take your kids to school.
Correspondent Angelina
Right.
Producer Nick
They don't speak the language. And again, when they can't understand signs we saw the, the infamous crash town in Florida where a truck driver was doing a U turn on a four lane highway.
Jim Paf
It's in.
Producer Nick
That's insanity. But these are the kind of risks that some of these drivers take when they don't understand the rules, they don't understand our culture. What do you think?
Jim Paf
Well, I mean, why not? Listen, if people are making a big deal about the money that the Trump administration is withholding from various places, there might be a couple of them that are kind of political. But honestly, what's really going on here is that you have had over and over special arrangements out of the Biden administration that have been throwing money at Democrat states, not to Republican states. And that is actually the real issue that's going on. So. So the Biden administration should have gotten on top of this under Pete Buttigieg.
Producer Nick
Okay. But they had other focuses. I mean, seven chargers he had to build like three and a half and you know, several years with $7 billion. Big things he was working on.
Jim Paf
Yeah, it's such an efficient use of government money. By the way, that that money they pulled away from New York state recent or New York City or New York State recently. I mean, that was just a big transportation infrastructure boond. That entire infrastructure bill was a boondoggle. And so Donald Trump is riding the ship here. Now when it comes to this California thing, how absurd can this be? Not only did we have that person who couldn't speak English and apparently couldn't read signs doing a U turn with a 18 wheel tractor trailer in the middle of an interstate, like it's dangerous enough to do it with your car, much less an 18 wheeler. 18. It killed somebody. I just saw a video. I think it was over the weekend. There was a guy with an 18 wheeler who could barely speak English driving the wrong on the wrong side of the interstate and another truck driver pulled aside him. There's a video of him talking to him. What are you doing here? And instructing him on how to fix it. And he ended up calling the police on this guy. That is now when you've got two videos of it, that's a pandemic of this problem. Because that's only scraping the surface. How much of this is happening yet Democrats are willing because of issues like DEI and immigration policy, they're willing to destroy the country for some, you know, boutique political take that they have. It's absolutely crazy in the Trump administration's right to push back on it.
Producer Nick
It's really wild when you consider that even the left can't get the whole workers rights thing down pat. I mean, that's supposed to be the thing that they get and they don't. You have Brandon Johnson getting up and front of Chicago old people and yelling about how Trump is taking money from the working class and giving it to billionaires, when right now all I am seeing is the Democrat Party taking money and safety away from the working class in their states and giving it to whoever wanders across the border with the right skin shade they're looking to hire. It's bewildering to see. The question that I have for you is, do you think that we'll ever see the heads of some of these trucking companies prosecuted by the federal government for providing licenses to those who fail verify?
Jim Paf
Well, we have some reason to be hopeful that some of that might happen. But honestly, even though the Trump administration is doing a pretty decent job getting DOJ back in order, notwithstanding all the lies that were on that sham 60 Minutes thing over the weekend where they brought out these radical leftist former DOJ people to try to say that the Trump administration is breaking all standards. Sanders, they're destroying the doj. Well, actually, I think they're fixing it. And so I do have some hope. But I will say this, they better be serious even about whether, even if it is a Republican aligned owner of a trucking company or Democrat aligned owner, because this is serious safety issue. You know, Tony, you're probably aware I'm one of the original Employees of the FedEx Hub in Indianapolis there.
Producer Nick
Yes.
Jim Paf
And the reason I bring that that up is because the requirements for me doing I did weight and balance on aircraft. I was the guy who did the weight and balance. But I also loaded trucks as well. We had a large trucking facility there as well, too. It's probably much bigger now. The requirements that you have to secure safety in our transportation systems are very, very purposeful. They are well established because we are one of the safest countries in the world when it comes to that, even with all these recent problems and those standards have been broken down by these boutique DEI things. And this is a serious, serious issue. And I got to tell you, I had to do a lot of training and certifications and I'm just, I'm just a college kid at the time and I appreciate how important the transportation system is. So, yeah, yeah, I think that this is absolutely something that I'm pleased that Sean Duffy is addressing even in the midst of this government shutdown, where he's got a lot of challenges with keeping air traffic controllers active. And there are Other people, other than air traffic controllers that help manage a lot of this stuff. So key issues, and I'm hopeful we get it fixed.
Producer Nick
That's precisely the right approach. And I'm going to make this clear. I think it's very important that we manage air travel effectively in this country. The airline problems in this country have been a long time coming. They're going to have to be dealt with. They're going to have to be met by a coalition of people willing to fix a massive problem. But let me be clear. My first and foremost concern as someone who has grown up in the Rust Belt, who continues to see transportation pour through our interstates and our state roads. It is our interstate system, it is our trucking system, it is our train systems. Because without those, American industry dies. Don't get me wrong, I really want to see air traffic control fully staffed. I don't want to see delays at Newark. I don't think Newark should exist, but that's because I hate Newark. But in all real actionable attitude, every single person who is listening to this, who is watching this, who votes in elections, who doesn't vote in elections, you get nervous when you are on the interstate and it is a busy time of day or night and you see that semi truck in front of you start to weave left and right and you don't know if it's because the guy's cracked out on something. You don't know if he's sleep deprived because he has to make a certain number of hours or else the illegal immigrant gets his job or if it's one of those illegal immigrants who is just waltzing through some broken system and now getting to essentially put Americans, tens of thousands of Americans at risk every day because he's got no bleeping idea what he's doing. It's one of the biggest issues in this country.
Jim Paf
And I worked for a member of Congress who was on the Transportation Committee, a solid conservative and who was actually for keeping, you know, cutting massive spending, got a lot of crap because of voting for the transportation bills. And I grant that, you know, there's a little bit of stuff that has typically been placed in there that doesn't need to be in there.
Producer Nick
Well, a bill with unnecessary crap say it ain't so, but.
Jim Paf
Yeah, really, but, but, but transportation is a key function of the federal government. This is, you know, this refers to article I always talk about Article 1, Section 8. We need to go back to Article 1, Section 8. Restrictions in Article 1, Section 8 is the provision for post roads. Why did they do that. What were those Post roads were things like the famous national highway that went all the way through Pennsylvania, goes right there through Indianapolis. It's US 40 is roughly on the old Post Road National Road there. They did that for communication, and eventually they were building canals and that sort of thing for economic benefit. And it made a huge positive benefit. This is a fundamental thing that the federal government can do on an interstate commerce basis and should do well. Pete Buttigieg nearly destroyed the systems that we that had served us well for decades and decades, nearly 200 years now. He nearly destroyed all that.
Producer Nick
Mr. Snot knows.
Jim Paf
Got to have the right people elected in the executive branch.
Producer Nick
Mr. Snot knows Ivy Leaguer who thinks he's so special because he can speak French and be gay, has no idea why the interstate system was set up, why it was useful, why I. Eisenhower mandated certain policies in its construction. Because Eisenhower built the interstate system along the ideals of the Post Road. And again, one of the oldest telegraph lines in the known Industrial Revolution era. One of the last remaining pieces that was, I believe, collected and then sent to the Smithsonian was right outside of Greenfield, Indiana, where we broadcast from. A little personal pride there, but that kind of fundamental understanding that, yes, we want minimal government in as many places as possible. There are times when we do need, need some things to be centralized. Not in a production sense, centralized in a national security and a safety sense. I don't want to see Americans who are put at physical risk because they are traveling on the most convenient method of travel in this country. I have no sympathy for people who think that we should just open the floodgates. If you're Indian, you want to come in this country, you speak English, you immigrate legally. You want to be a truck driver, awesome. Sweet. But you better be able to meet the standard. I don't care whether you're from a Western European country, an East Asian, South Asian company, whether you're from our country, whether you're from Central South America does not freaking matter. Speak the language, read the language, assimilate or get out.
Jim Paf
There's no doubt. And listen, what we need to keep in our minds is that we've got three more years to fix this problem. And I'm not certain that it's enough. And I don't see anyone like Donald Trump coming onto the scene in the future. I mean, I have positive feelings about, you know, what J.D. vance could do or Marco Rubio, even Ron Desantis. And there are a few of these people I think, you know, we have a better Bench.
Producer Nick
Understatement of the century.
Jim Paf
Yeah, but they need to be able to do as good a job of getting the right people in place and empowering them to take action action. And they have to be good leaders on that. Now I am hopeful 2028 will be a Republican year.
Producer Nick
The.
Jim Paf
The no king saying, I don't think, you know, there were a lot of people that demonstrated over the weekend, but I still don't believe that they have the heart of the American people. But I have to say this. Rep. The Republican Party has not changed Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan. Excuse me, he's finishing Ronald Reagan. Donald Trump. Trump has changed that, but the party itself has not fully changed. It's still run by the same old crabby people that can't get anything done, that are scared to death. The only reason that Mike Johnson and John Thune are hanging in on the government shutdown right now and the principles of it is because of Donald Trump. They wouldn't be doing that on their own. That's just the way it is and we have to change that. So we need to be aware of the work we have ahead of. This is why we do what we do at the Conservative caucus. Because if we're not going to go register the people that are going to elect the right folks to push this back, we're not going to win in the long run. We've got a reprieve and it's a good one for the next three years, but it's just not sufficient to get the job done. We better be ready of what the next steps are.
Producer Nick
Well said. Well put. Again, gym path, not a psychopath. Thank you for joining us. It's really great to sit down and chat about things that again, really actually fundamentally matter that impact people every day other than just some national anchor whining about a statistic. It's great to talk about this because again, that's what drives votes, but more importantly, that's what drives things getting better. Jim, thanks again.
Jim Paf
Thanks, Tony. Good to be with you.
Producer Nick
All right, just a little bit of bonus tonus here. I've got something a little bit special. So first of all, I know the video quality wasn't perhaps as smooth, clean and crystal clear as it usually is. That's because the Amazon Web services decided to take a large fall off a cliff today. And so every single service was down. Now, we didn't lose our minds. We simply did a little Inspector gadget and kind of got things fixed and rolling as best we could, even if the video quality was fuzzier than Producer Nick prefers. However, not everyone responded to the AWS outage today with the same cool, calm, collected nature of the Tony Kennett crew. Sky News in Australia was having a full blown tizzy. They were not having a good time.
Tony Kennett
I would hope to resolve this as quickly as possible, but you mentioned some of those sites there. For example Ring Doorbell.
Producer Nick
We have on our website some users.
Tony Kennett
Saying they can't see outside their house.
Producer Nick
Definitely scary. Can't see outside your house. Just can't see outside their house because the ring doorbell's not working. They can't see outside your house. Well, I've got a great new incredible piece of technology just for you. We need infomercial music for when I start going off like this. What you need is this incredible new device straight out of Mesopotamia called the Window. No Bill Gates required. The window allows you to see out of any exterior wall wall or an interior wall. If you've forgot where you were going to put your windows, now you can. By the way, we're using this in the industrial sector already in the food delivery economy. Some people are even pulling up to restaurants picking up their food through a drive through window windows. New from why do you need a electronic doorbell to look outside your house? Services. So you know, not everyone's reacting to web services being down in the same way and just just saying renting company server space is often cheaper but it is not always as reliable. That brings us to things that are always reliable. James o'. Keefe. James o' Keefe does a lot of investigations the o' Keefe Media Group. I've had the pleasure of talking to him a couple of times and listening to his investigatory style. He is known for two things. Number one, faking being gay and number two, after he fakes being gay, he then dresses up like Mrs. Doubtfire. You know, help is on the way dear. And then sits down with someone who doesn't know it's James Key o' Keefe and then gets them to admit a ton of stuff on camera. That's like really, really damning. I'm gonna level with you. I've watched this clip eight times. I have no idea yet what James o' Keefe is actually exposing. Could you look it up real quick? I should probably know what he's exposing. It's how he's dressed. If you are listening, I'm going to try to describe it. But here's James so etid 20% he looks like Mrs. Doubtfire. He's wearing a pink collared shirt, some large clear glasses and a wig. I'm 36% certain he stole from Michigan Representative Sri Tanadar. Here's James o'. Keeb just. I can't even listen to him that.
Jim Paf
They do all the work.
Producer Nick
No. And then here's this lady with her bonnet on and she's. She has to know. She has to know. Producer Nick.
Correspondent Angelina
So this interview is James O' Keefe exposing 100 billion federal contracting scam exposed 8 a firm admits to violating federal law using minority owned status as a front to obtain 100 plus million dollars from no bid government contracts while sourcing 80% of the work.
Producer Nick
That's insane, of course, but I want to go back to James o' Keefe here. Okay, Okay, I. Look at this thing. Look, there is no way, no way that a person with an IQ above freezing. I don't care if you're using Celsius, Fahrenheit or Kelvin at this point. No one, no one is falling for that. Unless this is actually, I figured out maybe now how James is doing his stuff. You see, scam calls, they come for two different people. They come for the unaware. And those are like the real like kind of creative scam and phishing calls. But have you ever gotten like the Nigerian prince emails and things? You think, how could anyone fall for that? See, they don't want to mess around with you. They want to mess around with someone who is either unaware or not tech savvy enough or yes, perhaps struggling with memory concerns or maybe fourth case, ignorant enough to fall for it. Maybe that's James O' Keefe's secret. Maybe he dresses up like Mrs. Doubtfire because then only the truly stupid would reveal everything that they know to him.
Correspondent Angelina
I honestly, I know this is not as fun as that point that you were making. I think it speaks to how political correctness has really just veered off a cliff.
Producer Nick
Because you cannot question. She clearly recognizes that this is some guy sitting there in a wig and glasses just like, oh, but what if he, what if he's trans? I can't, I can't say anything. Yeah, that's, that's.
Correspondent Angelina
So it's a question of, well, is this a man pretending to be a woman to investigate me or is this a man really bad at drag?
Producer Nick
This reminds me of the, it's the, the, the Norm MacDonald joke. You know, the one where he says, you know what bothers me? If New York City was bombed by Islamic terrorists. I know, it's a terrible norm accent. Give me a break. Says it would be all of the Islamophobia. And that's kind of the thing like, well, you're so terrified to, you know, consider maybe someone on a group, in some kind of group might have a bit of a problem. That, yeah. An issue there. All right. So moving on, because I do want to move on. Speaking of DEI considerations, Michelle Obama has now released an interview where she admits that her like, standardized test scores to get into Princeton were really, really, really bad and that the only reason that she got into Princeton is because of her color.
Tony Kennett
I wasn't good on sat, so all the scores said, you don't belong at Princeton. And there were people who saw me, saw the color of my skin and said, you're aiming too high. And that was my first insecurity of thinking, well, maybe I don't belong here.
Producer Nick
So how did you overcome. Correct. If you don't. And by the way, I'm not saying everyone has to be a test taker. Some people aren't good at, you know, taking tests. But like, even when Michelle was a wee child, even when Michelle was a wee lad in the Midwest, I happen to remember there, in fact, according to documentation, there were SAT courses and that she absolutely had access to in the wealth that she grew up in come.
Jim Paf
That belief that you don't belong.
Tony Kennett
I got there and I looked around and went, oh, my God, a lot of bright people. But there were a lot of people that were just and sort of realized that affirmative action isn't just the color.
Producer Nick
I like that she's like, I got around, realized a lot of people were bright and a lot of people weren't. Well, I mean, yeah, maybe if they're letting in people that do really poorly on their standardized.
Correspondent Angelina
I mean, if I saw James o' Keefe walk in for Miss America, I would probably also look at him and go, hey, man, you do not belong here.
Producer Nick
I love it. It's really, really funny. And by the way, this, now this is kind of. Are you kidding me? This coming from Americans. Now, even over on CBS Mornings, they had on Karine Jean Pierre, who did not just do one interview about her brand new. I'm assuming it's a book tour because she just hit the media. Just immediate, just like huge media tour. Either that or her publicist finally woke up from the Coke nap. So the Kari Jean Pierre on CBS Mornings is getting roasted by the hosts because she's trying to claim that Joe Biden was fine and she wasn't covering up for, you know, Joe's corpse. And they're like, how could you not see it? Are you really going to tell us that you didn't see Joe Biden, you know, bump into walls like a low battery. Roomba here was Karine Jean Pierre and.
Tony Kennett
CBS pick up on what Tony was saying because I too thought that. And you said, people said, why didn't members of his inner circle speak up about what many believe was the apparent decline of Joe Biden?
Producer Nick
Look how they even try to set it up. What many believe is the apparent decline of Joe Biden. Have you ever heard Joe Biden when he's young in the Senate? I mean he's wrong about a lot of things, but he's also pretty spicy and articulate. And by the way, may I say, even in a manner that I identify with is, you know, kind of, well, I'm very racist, but a manner that I identify with. Not the racism but the kind of quick witted sarcasm. Well, you set that up on me a little bit rough. Thank you. So thank you. He's not that way now. He wasn't that way during either presidency. I mean, the reason Obama would put his head in his hands when Biden would get out there and say things is because Joe Biden would articulately and in a very racist and uncouth manner say perhaps witty and awful things. So Robin Williams used to make fun of him for that. So anyway, after she sets it up.
Tony Kennett
That you're a member of the inner circle and you never saw the decline. And after that I wrote how you even write Kareem, that you were on the plane with him going to the debate.
Producer Nick
I'm sorry, that's really funny because we all have notes. I mean I've, I've got notes right here and these are. I could, I guess I could sling them this way. I have notes, bullet points. So you can see the four videos that I had planned to talk about for bonus tonus. And I don't know if I've ever written on an interview notes just how in all capital letters, 36 question marks, some exclamation points, maybe a couple of ones thrown in there. It's incredible.
Tony Kennett
And you didn't see anything? Well, when we were Air Force One going on the, going to the debate, you got to remember the, his campaign people were on the team, his family was on the team. I actually was one of those rare trips that I didn't really see him.
Producer Nick
I want to point out here because we always do. I was going to compliment the hair in the la, the Tim Miller, she just has like gone back to the normal kind of like down hairstyle that's a little bit better. Than like, I'd say the one time that she had kind of the middle part where you could see just like straight scalp. Oh, I like it. I don't. I think nice. But she's dressed like an aristocat. I mean, like Disney's Aristocats. What in the world? Who designed that outfit? Is Martha Stewart throw pillow collection something you can wear to an interview until after the debate?
Tony Kennett
Even though I was on the plane. So really, I take, I want everybody to know that I take this question.
Producer Nick
Incredibly seriously, which is why she's avoided it every time she's been asked this question.
Tony Kennett
I do. I was his White House press secretary, which means I had a role that saw him practically every day and traveled with him. And you saw nothing for more than 95%. We've always said we're not going to say, oh, he didn't age. He aged and he poked fun at it. We always owned up. And with age comes what happens when you get older, which is what I.
Producer Nick
This is a morning show, by the way. Morning shows are supposed to be nice and friendly. I mean, even when Regis was like livid on Regis and Kelly, I mean, it was. It's always very nice. Even if you don't like the person and you don't. You just like. Which is answer the question. Yo.
Tony Kennett
What I. But when we talk about the mental acuity, and again, I take this very, very seriously. I never saw anyone who wasn't there. I saw someone who was always engaged. I saw someone who understood policy pushed.
Producer Nick
When he was licking the walls. He looked really intelligent doing it. I mean, I've never seen someone chew on their forearm and describe foreign policy like old Joe on the policy.
Tony Kennett
And also understood history. And there were times, I'll tell you the story. There were times where he would call me into the Oval Office and I would be like, oh, no.
Jim Paf
Oh no.
Tony Kennett
Because I knew whatever he was going to ask me was going to be direct, was going to be about a story he read about how we're pushing back, how we're.
Producer Nick
I heard that.
Tony Kennett
Soda pushing a message forward.
Producer Nick
And you write about the people within the party pushing him out. Some would describe those people fighting for a replacement candidate is fighting. But you also describe this current look at the port. You realize you have nothing. And there is a point, by the way, as an interviewer, just say so. You just aren't going to answer the question. You're really going to try to tell us that that's where sarcasm and an actual biased reporting does come in. Because everyone's biased but then he tries to move on. Well, there's no way to move on from that. There's no way to pivot away. He's like, well, you wrote about the people. You wrote. You wrote that you, the people. She's on fire. Quick, someone get the extinguisher producer next.
Correspondent Angelina
I think she just admitted why she was such a poor press secretary. She hates direct questions.
Producer Nick
She. She really does. You. She didn't have her binder, to be fair.
Correspondent Angelina
And then also, does she think we forget that before the debate in the days preceding, they praised how much he prepared, that her and her colleagues were very vehement that he was so prepared for this debate that he was going to blow Trump out of the water?
Producer Nick
Yeah. I seem to remember this up, up to the debate, by the way, that he wasn't saying, well, Joe's a little tired. Can we reschedule? No. The idea was Trump's gonna chicken out. Trump isn't going to show up. And then he showed up and he, you know, he bent Joe over his knee and reminded him why you shouldn't talk out of turn. Now, I do want to get to a couple of questions here before we have to go on this, this beautiful evening of bonus tonus here. First of all, thanks to Ken Martin for the $2 super chat saying for the ballroom. We appreciate that we don't have a ballroom around here, but we might start one. I don't know why we would attach that to the studio, but we'll consider it. We don't ask you guys for money or tips or anything, but to those who give, it's very, very kind to you from member Julie Minard. She said, did anyone answer my question about not having enough troops or cops for all of the outbreaks and uncivilized behavior? That is the kindest way I think I've ever heard anyone describe a riot that CNN might take issue with, how respectfully that question is phrased. To answer your question, Julie, I don't believe that it's a shortage of police officers and law enforcement. I don't believe that's the problem. The issue that we have seen consistently, and I can say this here in Indiana, is that you have county or city prosecutors, those who will just choose not to bring up charges from the city on those who have been brought in. They'll downgrade charges, as we saw with in Washington, D.C. so that they won't charge someone with attempted homicide. They'll just say criminal mischief in general goof offishness. They'll downgrade things. So essentially the police will go out and arrest someone and then it's the prosecutor or the state attorney general like Kamala Harris or one of these other chief law enforcement officers who acts as the revolving door. The issue is not with the Chicago Police Department. It's with the leadership of the Chicago Police Department. Again, as someone who has been given the royal tour of the Federation of Police, the FOP in Chicago, in downtown, and I got to watch the officers grab the 1898 Mahogany Union busting truncheons that are polished to a sheen, excitedly marching down the street towards the DNC protesters. Well, again, senior leadership tends to be the sticking point for not all law enforcement agencies. There are some, you know, there are some stinkers, but there are a lot of law enforcement agencies where they do their job excellently. And again, if you hold the people in prison or hot take, deport them after a certain number of crimes of a certain flavor, you know, just gonna, just gonna be real with you guys. When the people from around the country watch this, it's hard not for them to question whether or not we have enough law enforcement or whether or not it's time to send in the National Guard. You don't see a lot of people, although you are seeing far more. We'll talk about this with an Ohio representative tomorrow. Likely this revolving door does eventually get on people's nerves. It's a state level issue they could solve or Trump will use the Insurrection act and solve it for him. With that said, we're going to swing over to the end of the show for the evening. You guys have a nice night. We'll see you tomorrow. It's the Tony Knitcast here on the Daily Signal, nationally syndicated and first on 93 WIBC. Take care.
