Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) joins us for a look at paying federal workers and the insane brawl happening in the Senate over striking narcoterrorists off the coast of Venezuela. Meanwhile, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Dallas) exposed hiding stock holdings in several ventures not reported in her Congressional records.

Tony Kennett
Let's get down to business. You're listening to the Tony Kennett cast on 93 WIBC on CYTV here on the Daily Signal. Good evening and welcome to the Tony Kenned cast here on the Daily Signal, nationally syndicated first on 90 WIBC. As always, there's far more news than we can cover in the hour of broadcast available slot for the show. So without further ado, Texas Representative Jasmine Crockett, Democrat of Dallas, has, according to the Washington Free Beacon, some of the excellent investigative reporting from Andrew Kerr. He, in a series of documents has revealed that the, let's say the private holdings of Jasmine Crockett are a little bit more stacked than previously believed. According to his report, she owned a secret stock portfolio containing stakes in major pharmaceutical, fossil fuel marijuana, technology and automobile firms. Here is the kicker that she did not report in her congressional financial disclosures. Now in the article here is what kind of more framed out explanation is she owned stocks in at least 25 companies that she did not disclose to the public during her first congressional run in 2022, even though she quietly admitted to the holdings the previous year as a Texas state legislator. Crockett also didn't reveal the stock holdings once she got to Washington in 2023. Now, this should be interesting to you for a number of reasons because again, this Democrats have traditionally been very, very much against big pharmaceuticals. Bernie, Bernie Sanders is always talking about the donations from Pfizer and everyone else, the Democrats. How could they hold stock and Pfizers of the horrible and then of course, big oil. Because what says young progressive environmentalism like holding a couple of stocks in Chevron? Am I right? Am I right? No. Well, we'll leave that oil well untapped for a second here because this is where things get really funny. She has several shares in a particular series of marijuana industries. So her portfolio includes ownership in Amazon, Johnson and Johnson, AstraZeneca, General Motors, Uber, DuPont, you know, the one that AOC mispronounced that she thought set the Cincinnati river on fire in the late 60s. Exxon Mobil. Ah, I guessed Chevron. I should have guessed ExxonMobil. That's my fault. American Airlines AT&T, Aurora, cannabis, Ford and corporate cannabis. And this is straight out of the movie Step Brothers. Stocks worldwide. Now here's the fun thing. This stock portfolio she reports in her last Texas financial disclosure, she owes debts of $110,000, which she did not divulge in her first congressional financial disclosure. Because right now, the House of Representatives only requires members of the House to publicly disclose their stockholdings if they exceed $1,000. Here's the problem. Crockett reported that she owned fewer than 100 shares in each of the 25 stocks. But she's omitted from any congressional disclosure since then. 100 shares in 25 different companies. Unless each of those shares is like $0.30 and a puff of the old Mary Jane, I'm kind of doubting that's under $1,000. I suppose we'll find out. Remember, Crockett was, I believe, investigated by the FCC earlier. Excuse me, the fec, the Federal Election Commission earlier this year. After receiving a bunch of donations from one person that weren't reported correctly. But that's not why this is funny. The reason that this is kind of funny is Jasmine Crockett has previously been one of the representatives, for example, in the House Oversight Committee, who lost her marbles screaming at, for example, Marjorie Taylor Greene over things like alleged insider trading.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
Let's look at fraud. We could investigate whether the White House and the members of this subcommittee engaged in insider trading and market manipulation. Maybe it's a coincidence that the chairwoman brought hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of stock the day before Trump announced a 90 day pause on tariffs. But I guess we'll never know.
Tony Kennett
Now, I'm just gonna level with you guys. You don't get to pull the I guess we'll never know line about stock transparency. If you have a bunch of undisclosed shares in Amazon, AstraZeneca, Exxon Mobil, and Weed. Three Kings of Orient are Marijuana R Us. Whatever. I don't think you get to pull that one. So this is going to be an interesting bit of disclosure. And maybe that's all under a thousand dollars. Maybe she thinks that because each of the shares are under a thousand dollars, then that will be fine. But you know, with Jasmine Crockett, who knows, maybe she'll pull the Zoran Mamdani routine here. Zoran Mamdani has been caught telling a big old stinky lie. So you'll recall, after the mayoral debate, Zoron got up in front of New York City and said something deeply inspiring to all Americans. Dear Muslims of New York City. No, really, I want to use this.
Zoran Mamdani
Moment to speak to the Muslims of New York City.
Tony Kennett
He then proceeded to talk about why everyone was bad for being mean to him in his campaign. Because, see, he's a Muslim. And after all, we all know that New York City is the Most Islamophobic horrible place for Muslims in the entire world. And Muslims have never done anything at all to New York City. They've just built mosques and daycares and friendly sunshine, happy, good, you know, warm friendliness. And he told a very heartwarming story. He said on, on 9 11. Well, I'm sorry, I don't, I don't want to, I don't want to step on the good Democrat candidate for mayor's toes. Here he is telling us about one of the dearest 11% of the city population in New York City.
Zoran Mamdani
I want to speak to the memory of my aunt who stopped taking the subway after September 11th because she did not feel safe in her hijab.
Tony Kennett
His aunt stopped taking the subway after 9 11. Why? Because it's so Islamophobic in New York City. Oh, and people were giving her dirty looks. His aunt on the subway. Only people did a little looking. They did a little investigating and found out first of all, this aunt in particular, yeah, she wasn't even in the United States at the time. It was like Tanzania or something that she was in. And also at the time, and I believe quite a bit after, she didn't even wear a hijab. So he's a big freaking liar and he was called out on this because, you know, this is his big linchpin. Oh, see, we need to stand up and elect a Muslim mayor because on November 12th or excuse me, September 12th, all of these Muslims in New York City. Oh man, can you imagine all the hate crime. Oh, there weren't really a whole lot of hate crimes in New York City. Can you imagine the dirty looks they got on the subway? The real victims of 9 11, not the people who were killed or the families of those who were killed or those who would later on die of long term exposure diseases. And of course those who would be honored later, their families going through the grieving process, the first responders, those who died in the survival and the reconstruction efforts. Oh, forget them. Well, the real victim, Zoran Mamdami wants you to know is his mysterious imaginary aunt who may have gotten a dirty look from someone on September 12, 2001. So after it was called out that he was a big stinky liar that, well, now he's gonna update and change the story around a little bit here. Maybe a little wink, wink, nudge, correction. So recently in a recent address.
Senator Ron Johnson
Harassment.
Tony Kennett
She was facing post 9 11. Is that a blood relative?
Zoran Mamdani
Yes, that's. I was speaking about my aunt. I was speaking about Zafui, my father's cousin who sadly passed away.
Tony Kennett
Wait a minute. My father's cousin. Hang on a second here. That's not an ant.
Zoran Mamdani
Two years ago. And for the takeaway from my more than 10 minute address about Islamophobia in this race and in this city to be the question of my aunt tells you everything about Andrew Cuomo and his inability to reckon with a crisis of his own.
Producer Nick
Oh.
Tony Kennett
Oh, I see. I love this line. The media always does this. This is. This is Republicans notice or moderate Democrats notice or independents notice. If, let's take Joe Biden. He gets up in front of the country, goes, republicans are out there killing the black people. Black people. And then Republicans come out and they say, do you have a source for that or is there any data for these crimes you're alleging Republicans have committed? And then he has to walk it back because there's nothing. And so then it's. Well, it's not about the specific things I claimed were happening. It's actually about the broader story as a whole. And it's not that, you know, there are actually definitive actions of black people or Muslim people or LGBTQ2IA 876-5309 people not actually getting discriminated against in a specific systemic way. No, actually, it's that they feel people are being racist. And that's all the evidence you need. It's like the Simpsons reporter. Your tears say more than real evidence ever could. Radio crew, we're gonna send you to the commercial break while one of Zoron's favorite supporters, you know, just throws out some anti Semitic slurs. It's the Tony Kenned cast. We'll continue on the livestream. Now to save us from a lovely fine, I would like to introduce you to an individual who's all, you know, razzed up and excited. The Zoran Mandani crew, who are just about openness and love and friendship. And here he is, you know, screaming at a Jewish mom in the city. You'll notice on his T shirt. For those who are watching and not just listening, he's got hot girls for Zoron on. All right, here you go. You turned on a nasty ass is raising.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
You're talking. He's attacking us. Could you please have somebody.
Tony Kennett
That's a lie.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
You're monsters.
Karine Jean-Pierre
Because I'm a Jew.
Tony Kennett
Ah, New York City, a land of love, acceptance, and friendship. I'm sorry, I know that she didn't perhaps talk about it in her address, but Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, she doesn't want you to think about, you know, the screaming and the yelling and the crime and, you know, the anti Semitism and the stabbings on the subway. No, she wants you to know that New York is a totally wonderful, super duper amazing place where, you know, just built by immigrants and friendship.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
This city was built by the Irish escaping famine, Italians fleeing fascism, Jews escaping holocaust, Black Americans fleeing slavery and Jim Crow. Latinos seeking a better life.
Tony Kennett
I like how it went from Latinos. She can go like Latinos seeking on better vida. You know, she didn't do that. She said Latinos seeking a better life.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
Native people standing for themselves. Asian Americans coming together in Queens, in Brooklyn.
Tony Kennett
By the way, I do love how she. Once she finally gets through. Irish Americans escaping famine. Okay, Because Democrats only think that Irish people came to this country to escape the potato famine. That was it. That's the only reason that Irish people have ever come to the country. That's it. Oh, that's the only reason. And then Italian Americans escaping fascism. There were no Italians in New York before Mussolini stepped up, which, yikes, sweetheart, I don't think about. I don't know about that. Then. Native Americans standing for what's theirs. Ah, yes. Remember, you know, right next to Chinatown in New York City, there's little Cherokee and we all stand for ourselves there. Very wonderful place. Elizabeth Warren is there often, I'm told, and then she gets to Asian Americans, and I'm curious as to what she's going to say, you know, like about Asian Americans. Then it's just Asians standing together. Because she doesn't actually have anything that's useful here. She's trying so hard to gear up to run for president. She wants to so bad.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
In the Bronx, in Manhattan. It's Staten island in this country. In a vision to build the freest, toughest and greatest city on earth.
Tony Kennett
Hey, it's not the freest city on earth, I'm afraid, Producer Nick.
Producer Nick
I wonder if she was actually referencing with the Asians. My favorite instance of Asians standing up for what was theirs. The rooftop Koreans.
Tony Kennett
Hmm. Unfortunately, Los Angeles, not New York City. But I'm, you know, aoc just being able to list people who live in the city and list all five boroughs like a big girl. Good for her.
Producer Nick
Well, because it didn't happen in nyc. You know, you had Stop Asian Hate, where we had one protected class attack them.
Tony Kennett
Yes. Unfortunately, the Stop Asian Hate campaign was. Was quickly removed from the media as soon as it was discovered it wasn't white people in this country hurting Asians. Uh, but again, well, you know, also Italians and Irish are supposed to be white whenever it's really convenient. It's a very weird system. And you might think that she's insane. But rest assured, good viewer, good listener, AOC Wants you to know she's not insane. She's the most sane ever. She's the sanest.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
But we must remember in a time such as this, we are not the crazy ones. New York City. We are not the outlandish ones. New York City. They want us to think we are crazy. We are sane.
Tony Kennett
Yes. Yes. I can't wait. By the way, that is, as I've said before, that is the Democratic nominee, that is. Now we're going to swing over to pick up the radio crew from commercial break and then chat a little bit about my two other favorite people right now who have made the mistake of speaking in front of the microphone. Gavin Newsom and Brandon Johnson. Don't go anywhere. It's the Tony Kennett cast here on the Daily signal, nationally syndicated, first on 93 WIBC. The Tony Kenneth cast on 93 WIBC. Welcome back to the Tony Kennett cast. We'll leave AOC and the new Yorkers having their own little special time for a second. Gavin Newsom of California. Of course, he's essentially announced that he also is going to run for the presidency in 2028. But see, the problem with Gavin Newsom is, you know, he's a white dude, allegedly a straight dude, a wealthy dude. Well, he can't have that because then it's all of the things that Democrats value. He's none of them. He's not LGBTQ plus enough. He's not, you know, black or brown or some other approved color enough. He's unfortunately doesn't have the right, you know, I guess you could throw on a skirt and, you know, but I guess Sarah McBride's already kind of got him beat there. So what does Gavin Newsom have? What does he have? I'll tell you what Gavin Newsom has. Gavin Newsom's got fake backstories ready to go. Gavin Newsom, he's. He ate Wonder Bread because he was poor, just like you and me, guys. Here you go. Gavin Newsome.
Gavin Newsom
But also, you know, it was also about paying the bills, man.
Tony Kennett
Word.
Gavin Newsom
It was just like hustling. And. And so I was out there kind of raising myself.
Tony Kennett
I was out there repping the streets, you know, can 218. What's up, man? He. He was right next to Warren G and regulate the whole time, turning on the tv.
Gavin Newsom
Started, you know, just getting obsessed, you know, sitting there with the you know, the Wonder Bread and five stacks of.
Tony Kennett
Like, the white stack. Ah, Wonder Bread and the five stack. Five stacks of what. What. What is this? He's got, like, about a foot and a half here. What is. What is five stacks? That's a foot and a half here.
Producer Nick
He. He specified later that it was peanut butter and jelly.
Tony Kennett
Peanut butter and jelly. A five stack. This is a man who's never had a peanut butter and jelly. You and I, as every team.
Producer Nick
It's a lot of peanut butter.
Tony Kennett
It is a lot of peanut butter, and It's a lot. Five stacks. A lot of PB&J. A five stack of PB&J is like that big. Maybe. Maybe if you. If you don't squish anything down. No, I'm afraid not. And also, what is this Wonder Bread being for poor people? Wonder Bread is delicious. There will be no slamming of Wonder Bread in this house. But anyway, sorry. He's. He's repping his street cred. Mm. Come on.
Senator Ron Johnson
Macaroni and cheese.
Tony Kennett
Macaroni. Kraft Macaroni and cheese. He's just like me. He's just like me. Oh, wait, His. His dad was a, you know, millionaire lawyer for the rich Getty Oil family. Again, nothing wrong with that. The reason that. By the way, if you're wondering why Americans treat Donald Trump as a rich man and Donald Trump Jr. Different as rich people than they treat those like Gavin Newsom, Trump never once goes, I'm actually dirt poor. I grew up. I had nothing. I was eating mud pies, the best mud pies, when I heard Donald Trump Jr. Come to speak in Shelbyville, Indiana, this kind of rural Trump campaign rally. Um, Trump Jr. Got up in front of the crowd and said, grocery prices suck right now. And, you know, if I. If a. If a very rich person notices how bad the grocery prices are, they must be really, really bad. And everyone laughed because he's not trying to hide the ball, but Gavin Newsom, he's like, I was eating Wonder Bread and Kraft Mac and Cheese stacked eight stories tall. And. Yeah, no, I. I'm afraid not. Their chief. Now, he's also in hot water for another reason, and that would be because he wants the Department of Justice to not observe any of the elections in California. No, sir. Don't. No looking around here.
Gavin Newsom
So today, the Trump administration announced they're sending election monitors to five specific counties here in the state of California. They have no business doing that.
Tony Kennett
Why?
Gavin Newsom
They have no basis to do that.
Tony Kennett
No basis to watch an election, man. I mean, you know, it's not Like California after the 2024 election was still counting votes greater than the initial projection of those who voted, like 9, 10, 11 weeks after the election.
Gavin Newsom
In fact, we have a state wide election for a statewide constitution.
Tony Kennett
This is a statewide constitution. What other kinds of constitutions that just the state would vote on are there? And again, if it's on redistricting and congressional issues, then it's a federal issue. I'm, I'm. Go on, Gavin, tell us from your deep wander bread hanging out in the.
Gavin Newsom
Hood past about voter intimidation. This is about voter suppression, period, full stop. And it's a pattern, isn't it? It's consistent with what they've done with the federalization of the National Guard and the intimidation and the chill that, that's created.
Tony Kennett
The chill. So again, I'm, I'm, I'm just gonna let you in on a little bit of a secret here. First of all, to try to get people scared of your own state's National Guard. Again, the Trump administration used the California National Guard immediately. In California, Gavin Newsom, of all people, going after the California National Guard is really rough because those National Guardsmen are in fact California citizens. So like, trying to get people scared of California National Guardsmen is weird. Number two, again, they're trying this weird rumor mill conspiracy theory that Trump is going to order the National Guard to rig the midterms. I've heard some wild bonkers theories out there. That's, that's a special one. Bless your little heart. That's a special one. This brings us on to the other news of the day, which is Brandon Johnson in Chicago. The mayor reporter was asking him about a, I believe, an illegal alien from Nicaragua who brutally raped and murdered a woman in Chicago. And Brandon Johnson was having none of it. And instead's like, well, I think we need to move on from this. I, I don't, I don't, I don't know. I have any, I don't have any comment on this.
Reporter William
Well, the real Chicagoans that I talk to that I communicate with, mostly black and brown, actually tell me that you don't seem to know the difference between illegal aliens and real Chicago citizens. They feel that you are siding with the illegal aliens over them in their communities. And sadly.
Tony Kennett
William, let's get to the question.
Reporter William
Yeah, let's get to the question. The real question is simply this. I don't know how to make it any more direct. An illegal alien from Nicaragua grabbed a woman on the north side last night.
Tony Kennett
Question.
Reporter William
Bashed her head into the sidewalk, knocked her unconscious and raped Her. If that had been your wife, Stacey.
Governor J.B. Pritzker
Okay.
Producer Nick
All right.
Tony Kennett
We're not gonna answer it.
Producer Nick
Thank you.
Reporter William
Thanks.
Tony Kennett
All right.
Reporter William
Would you want ICE to deport her?
Tony Kennett
All right, let's. Let's move on. Oh, let's move on. Yeah. Would you again, if there was given this crime, if that was someone who was close to you, would you want ICE to deport that illegal alien who committed that crime? He accused the reporter of threatening him and threatened to throw him out of the building. Oh, let's move on. Oh, hang on a second here again. The. The desperation of the Democrats to pick the 30 side approval of every issue, the 20 versus the 80 of every issue. Every single issue. Social issues, economic issues, international and foreign affairs issues. They have no idea what it is that they are doing. Case in point, the Nigerian Christian genocide right now in Nigeria. Since 2009, there have been 185,000 Christians which have been brutally massacred in Nigeria. Brutally, brutally massacred. Now, there have been a lot of individuals in Congress in the previous administration who have discussed this severe issue with the way the Nigerian government, the factions inside Nigeria have conducted the persecution against Christians. And then what do you hear? You hear someone like a Jasmine Crockett, you hear someone like an AOC get up there and go, oh, Christians, they're not persecuted at all. That's just a nine issue. While they spent the entirety of the Israeli Hamas Gaza war trying to desperately claim that while the population of Palestinians, of Gazans, whatever you want to call them in Gaza was increasing, that it was Israel and the Jews and the Christians who were perpetrating this deeply horrible genocide. But then all of a sudden, when it comes to discussing the August 2025 report, in the first 220 days of 2025, 7,000 Christians are estimated to have been killed. And not just, by the way, not just Christians, but moderate Muslims. 60,000 have been killed since 2009. By who? Oh, yeah, you know, Islamic jihadists. The same people that Zoran Mamdami says, you know, those are the real victims. Those people, the globalized, the intifada people. They mean well, you know, I mean, in fact, if you don't go visit every mosque in New York City, you're a terrible bigot and a horrible person. And you probably. Well, I won't say you probably smell that. That would. That would be a different kind of racism, apparently. Radio crew, we got to send you over to commercial. We're going to continue on the live stream. It's the Tony Kennett cast here on the Daily Signal. Now in other international news that is less important than the extreme pervasiveness of again, specific, detailed persecution against Christians in Africa. The Trump administration is currently balancing a large international trade war rebalancing of power in the South American sphere, in the Indo Pacific sphere, and then on the eastern edges of the Middle Eastern sphere. Right now the Chinese government under Beijing is trying everything it can to maintain dominance over a rare earths minerals card that they have used way too soon. Way too soon. So as you'll recall, the Trump administration was not particularly pleased with China threatening to cut the United States off from rare earth metals that are useful in everything from technology to military application. And so the United States under the Trump administration said fine, maybe we'll slap a couple of tariffs on. And everyone got really nervous. And at the same time, the Trump administration looked around the world at things China was importing and what's, what's China importing right now? And what the Trump administration noticed that China seems to be importing a lot of soybeans from places like Argentina. And so the United States swung in and intervened on behalf of the Javier Milei administration and did a large scale currency swap and then essentially started brokering a large scale import of soybeans from the Argentine economy which has resulted by the way, that coupled with the major electoral victory for Argentina's parliament under Javier Milei has resulted in a 10% strengthening of the Argentine peso. Now up to essentially 1,355 Argentine pesos equals 1 US dollar. This really hurts, really hurts Beijing because the Trump administration has brokered a soybean import deal and has also kept left wing politics at bay in Argentina, which means that the United States has greater dominance and influence in South America, China has nothing to, they have Brazil, kind of, kind of. And even that's getting a little tenuous in Venezuela right now. We're seeing some of the same stuff. We're going to get to the Venezuela stuff in a second though. We haven't quite finished with the Argentina situation. So right now, Argentina's parliamentary elections, Argentina gained 37 from, excuse me, from 37 parliament deputies for the right wing populace to 101 and then in the Senate from 6 seats to 20 seats, everyone was terrified that while there were a few growing pains with the Argentine economy, while Javier Milei is setting a lot of things straight, so to speak, that the Argentine people would kind of turn around and they would elect the left wing government who was complaining. We've seen the same thing in the US Economy, by the way, the argument that because There are a few growing pains right now with the Trump economy that Americans are very, very against Trump and the Democrats are going to surge ahead. Right now, according to the congressional ballot, the Republicans hold a far more sizable lead than any opposition party should have against it in a midterm year. Meaning this the party in power should not be as close to the Democrats in the general congressional ballot. Americans do, in fact, seem willing to weather a little bit of the storm. And this storm comes down pretty harshly when you look at the Malaysia and Japan deals that the Trump administration is in the middle of striking. So October 24, three days ago, Malaysia signed a mineral pact with the United States. October 25th, Trump signed a processing deal with Thailand. October 26th, a framework was announced that caused China finally to blink. We gotta bring the radio crew back from commercial. We'll be seeing you in just a second. Don't go anywhere. It's the Tony Kennett cast. It's the Tony Kenneth cast on 93 WY. Welcome back to the Tony Kennett cast. Here on the Daily Signal. The president of the United States in Malaysia, he was able to broker the Kuala Lumpur peace accords. Some excellent stuff on that particular lever. Again, another major, I think it was Cambodia and Thailand, the two military actors in this, that he has brokered a major piece and an economic agreement with. You never see that, by the way, where a party comes in and says, not only, not only are you gonna stop fighting, but also you're going to work together friendliness and spending and trading lots of money. And the Trump administration, yet again brokering a major peace deal. Now you say, well, what does this have to do with China? If the United States will not receive market access to China's rare earth minerals, the United States will simply go to them from other places. Now, there are some pundits on the right whom I really respect who believe that the only place the United States can go to for rare earth minerals mining and processing is Canada. Wrong. Wrong. The United States should not put economic outposts just because someone is here close to us. Now, do I believe that we should trade with Canada? Absolutely. Do I believe we should bolster the Canadian rare earth minerals market? In many ways, yes. That's why I support the Alberta independence movement. But as far as the Trump administration is concerned, to go right up to Beijing's door and to establish mineral and processing packs in Thailand, in Cambodia, in Malaysia, and actively working economically in the region, Beijing is in hot water because now the United States has the same economic interest that it currently has in Taiwan. In the rest of Southeast Asia, it's a major success. There's no other way to read that. Now there are some who are saying this is the birth of the American empire and it's the end of globalism. I disagree. The rebirth of the American empire will come when the United States takes its rightful place as the owner of Greenland. But I digress. We have to talk about some Venezuela shenanigans because we're going to sit down here in just a couple of minutes with Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin. There is some straight up patty cake slap fighting going on in the U.S. senate right now. And it's over two things. Number one, it's over the government shutdown, which is turning out really bad for Democrats. Number two, the situation in Venezuela is making Democrats look like big honk honk clowns. We're talking a real no squeeze rainbow wig situation here now in the US Senate right now. We've already played a clip of Cory Booker walking around in circles and yelling that the United States. Oh, how could they? We don't know these are narco boats. We, we have no idea. The same Democrats who told me that the US Intelligence communities and never lie, they never miss, they've always got an eye on everything. Suddenly. Oh, it's, it's. Though Trump is looking at an atlas and going, I think right there, there's probably drugs. Marco, Pete, hit him. I mean, no, that's not actually what's going on. Uh, but aside from those things, the Trump administration is now getting a little bit closer. It's demonstrating some B1 Lancer bombers off the coast of northern Venezuela and reminding the people of Venezuela, don't mess with us. Don't mess with us. If you really want to pick a fight with the United States, by the way, there are libertarians as well who are whining and pearl clutching and saying, oh, we're gonna get in a big forever war land war in Venezuela. You, you, you poor sweet summer child. That's not how the United States operates in south and Central America. That's, that's not how we do things. What's the matter? Lives flashing before. Pick it up.
Governor J.B. Pritzker
Pick it up.
Tony Kennett
That's how the United States deals with these fools in south and Central America who believe that they can totally handle the United States. We don't have to do anything like that. We don't have to do anything like that. Now, of course, we'll talk with Senator Johnson here in a minute about how the intelligence reports coming into the Senate, I believe. I haven't heard any news on this, I believe Senator Johnson breaks some news about Marco Rubio, Secretary of State, the National Security Adviser, the Mayor of New York, the head of the Avengers, the Pontifex supreme of Italy delivered some intel and information to the Senate. In the meantime, shutdown news is really rough for the Democrats. Now, I've never really observed something so pathetic that wasn't Thor after Thanos wins, like with the really fat beer belly sitting up in Scandinavia playing, you know, video games all day. This is the Democrat version of that. When msnbc, you know, Nicole Wallace, Joy Reid, stabbing myself in the ears with scissors, you know, the MSNBC shows, when they have to admit that the entire American public thinks the Democrats are responsible for this absolute disaster. Oof. Would be putting it lightly.
Korean Jean-Pierre
Yeah, I mean, this is a very dramatic call from that union of federal employees representing hundreds of thousands, with a statement today, among other things, that it's time for our leaders to start focusing on how to solve problems for the American people rather than on who is going to get the blame for a shutdown that Americans dislike. Because when the folks who serve this country are standing in line for food banks after missing a second paycheck because of the shutdown, they are looking for. They aren't looking for partisan spin. They're looking for wages that they earned.
Tony Kennett
And that's why this is funny. They're not looking for essentially someone to blame. They're not doing that. I just want someone to listen. Don't try to solve my problem. Just, just hear me out. They're not doing that. Instead, people are saying, hey, where are my SNAP benefits? And then they look at the voting record. Someone Google it. There is a major Google trend, a spike right now in people searching for the voting breakdown and opening the government. And what they're finding is every Republican except for Rand Paul and then several Democrats are voting in favor of reopening the government. And again, as we'll talk about with Senator Ron Johnson, he's not a fan of some of the moderate kind of compromises that Republicans have floated. Yet it doesn't matter because Democrats will refuse to even address the shutdown. They're so desperate to cling to this. You can even see Ruben Gallego, Senator from. Was it Arizona? Something like that. Senator Ruben Gallego try so desperately to claim that he doesn't care what he said in the past. Mom, he likes the shutdown. If Republicans shut down the government next.
Senator Ron Johnson
Time Democrats are in charge to extract whatever it is.
Tony Kennett
Are you saying that's okay? Are you saying that's okay if they do that.
Senator Ron Johnson
I mean, the Republicans have done this quite a while.
Tony Kennett
Yes.
Senator Ron Johnson
What did you say about it when they did it? I don't know and I don't care.
Tony Kennett
Oh, what did you say about it the last time this situation was up and the Republicans had shut the government down? That was, in fact the case, as many admitted at the time, because they are the minority party who didn't like what was passed. So they said, no, you're not getting the 60 vote maximum. And they held the government hostage. And it killed Republicans in the midterms. That killed Republicans in that midterm. Now we can talk about all of the ifs and ends, buts and coconuts. However, if you as a senator are dumb enough to go on TV and make claims to. And then those claims are fact checked. Whomp. Freaking whomp. You ran. You said you were recorded. There you go. That's how this works. Like Jasmine Crockett in the first segment when you get up in front of Congress and you go, I tell you what, we need people to be investigated for stock market stuff. And then you have some shenanigans about the stock market when you run for attorney general in New York or you run for Fulton county district attorney in Georgia and say, we're going to get Trump no matter what, and we're going to find something to charge him with, I don't care. That's why I'm elected to get Trump. Because if you commit this one tiny infraction that I can turn into some big hullabaloo, then we're going to get you. Now the shoe is on the other foot and, oh, I'm sorry, Cinderella, the shoe is a little tight. Is it?
Producer Nick
Producer NICK well, you see these senators, the mainstream story is falling apart. It's not holding water. You have Trump actively trying to aid people by getting them their paychecks, and then the Democrats turn around and saying, I don't care, Trump's the one holding up the government. And then Trump, and you have other Republicans coming to them and going, here's an olive branch. Please get people their money.
Tony Kennett
I've got a great example for you of this, and this involves good old Golden Corral Governor J.B. pritzker. Radio crew are going to send you off to the commercial. When we come back, it'll be Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin on the Tony Kinnickast. Okay. I did want to show you this, so I believe I have it loaded down in the bonus Tonus section of clips. We'll try to find it. Here we go. Bonus Tonus. Section, it's Governor JB Pritzker doing the exact. Well, I never said this. And then getting slapped with it. Here you go.
Governor J.B. Pritzker
I haven't suggested that Donald Trump is Hitler. The dangers that we saw in Nazi Germany are the dangers that we need to react to, to now. Well, I think everybody understands that at this point. We've got an authoritarian in office. It doesn't take very long to tear apart a constitutional republic. Indeed, the Nazis did it in 53 days. That's not the country we live in. You know, you shouldn't have to walk around with papers the way that they did in, in the early days of Nazi Germany. I do not invoke the specter of Nazis slightly.
Tony Kennett
He just does it every time he's on camera.
Governor J.B. Pritzker
I'm watching with a foreboding dread what is happening in our country right now. A president who watches a plane go down in the Potomac and suggests without facts or findings that a diversity hire is responsible for the crash.
Tony Kennett
A diversity hire was in fact responsible for the crash.
Governor J.B. Pritzker
The authoritarian playbook is laid bare here.
Tony Kennett
How can you possibly compare what happened in Germany and what War II to what's going on here in the United States?
Governor J.B. Pritzker
We're talking about the death of a constitutional republic. That's what happened in Germany in 1933. 1934.
Tony Kennett
Okay, case in point. Made settled. Jury, we'll see you on the way out. I really don't understand why they tried this as desperately. Maybe because they got away with it for so long. Because for so long they could actually say, oh, that never happened. And then you wouldn't, you wouldn't have a CNN or an MSNBC or a CBS or an ABC or, or Washington Post or a New York Times or the New Republic or. And on and on and on ad nauseam. Amen. You wouldn't have them actually play the clips now. The social media sphere has become the key center, by the way. This is why we, on the show here, we try to broadcast on every platform that we can. That's why you hear us coming in and out of commercial with, with radio crews and things and TV crews. We do that because everyone's logging into media in various places. That means you really can't control a narrative. You just have to offer up what's out there and trending. And unfortunately for the Democrats, pressing the screen record button on anyone's smartphone instantly saves a clip. God knows we have how many plugins that we download clips from. Producer Nick.
Producer Nick
Well, that's what's happening here is to turn it a bit The Nazis, well known for vilifying a specific group of people to convince all society to come together and hate them because they have nothing of substance to offer society.
Tony Kennett
And again, the idea that, well, the Trump administration's doing that with brown people again. No, the Trump administration has made it clear if you see something, you're to refer it to ice, you're to refer it to police. And they've asked local cities to essentially turn over the records on their police departments so that they can take just the illegals who have committed the violent crimes so that when they come into an area and you are aiding, abetting, harboring, hanging out, as Gavin Newsom would say, smoking a J with the homies, then you know you're not going to get dragged off because that's what cops do. You're in a party of underage drinking. Everyone in that room, I don't care if they're older than Elmer Fudd, they're getting hauled off for questioning. That's how it works. But instead, they've played this game and you guessed it, they've lost. We got to bring the radio crew back from commercial. I'm like a minute over on time there. Sorry, Allison. It's the Tony Kenneth cast. Don't go anywhere, Senator Johnson. Up next, it's the Tony Kenneth cast on 93 WIPC. We head over to the great Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin joining us again here to talk a little bit about the 543rd time Democrats are passing on the opportunity to pass a bill just to pay government shut down workers in the meantime. I gotta tell you, I'm a little surprised at this one. I. You're not surprised? You never seem to be surprised. Tell us the situation on the ground there in D.C. sir.
Senator Ron Johnson
Well, Tony, hope you're doing well, but you're embellishing. It's only been a dozen times that they've voted down the House cr. But, yeah, last Thursday I went to the floor to, you know, ask them to just vote culture on a bill that would pay the people that we're forcing to work. And Chris Van Hollen came the floor and did a unanimous consent request on what he called the True Shutdown Fairness Act. Mine was called the Shutdown Fairness Act. And really the only difference is he would just do it temporarily. He would include furloughed workers, which I said, really, from my standpoint, they're going to get paid anyway because we have the 2019 government fair treatment Act. So, I mean, I would go ahead and include. I can't speak for the entire Conference, but I would include the furloughed workers. And that's really the only difference. I mean, he misrepresented the fact that said my bill gave the President great authority to fire people. It doesn't just, you know, follows the anti Deficiency Act. So again, there's very, very narrow differences. We tried to work it out over the weekend. Not really getting, I'm not getting a yes from them, but you know that they've won the negotiation. I threw in furloughed workers. I hope Leader Thune decides to bring that back up for another vote. He switches vote to no so he can bring it up for reconsideration. If we don't do that. You know, the other, the real fix here would be the Eliminate shutdown Act, which just establishes rolling 14 day continuing appropriations until you fund that particular department. You know, even some of our appropriators voted no because the explanation was what undercuts the appropriation process. But let me describe that process that it's undercutting. I've been here 15 years, should have passed 180 appropriation bills before the end of the fiscal year to fund the next year. We've passed 6. So 96.7% failure rate. And my Elaine shutdowns or my Eliminate shutdowns Act is supposed to undermine that process.
Tony Kennett
By the way.
Senator Ron Johnson
Nothing could be further from the truth. It just would allow the appropriators to, you know, private fiscal year, if they can find agreement, go past that and rather than spend a month fighting over shutdown, we could have been passing individual appropriation bills. Okay, get him to the floor. You know, let's, let's, let's do it the right way. Get him to the floor. Vote for cloture file amendments. If you don't like the bill, don't vote for the very end.
Tony Kennett
Okay, all right, that's fair. And it's, it sounds like that might actually fix things. But then how would you get Cory Booker walking around in circles and sticking his chin out and his eyes all bugging out and yelling and I guess I should say, you know, or at least I think you would know these senators a lot better than I am. When you have the Cory Bookers on one side, you know, the John Fetterman's on the other, the, you know, Cortez Masto, you've got Ossoff and Warnock voting in favor of some measures, it seems like some Democrats on the moderate side are starting to slip away and fracture. Is there anyone else you think that might be a little close to breaking away and voting with the Republicans to end the shutdown.
Senator Ron Johnson
We've got a number of senators that are, that are retiring. Gene Shaheen, Gary Peters. They'd be what you term more the reasonable Democrats. But until they all vote together, it is a concern leadership's express this. I mean, if we keep doing these things and we give two or three of them a chance to vote for something so. Well, I voted to pay people, but they continue to keep the government shut down. I mean, you're kind of giving them a free vote and don't necessarily, politically don't necessarily want to do that as well. So that's why I would just keep bringing up the Shutdown Fairness Act. Now, again, we've walked the extra mile. All I was going to do is the accepted employees, the ones we deem essential that we're forced to work. Pam. Okay, if you insist on furlough, I'll add that to our bill because we're paid anyway. We vote for it now, again, I hope that Leader Thune brings back the House CR first vote. If that goes down, brings back the Shutdown Fairness act and explains everybody. This isn't what you voted on last week. This will then be. You will have a substitute amendment which includes furloughed workers. Now, what's your beef? Now what's your excuse for. For. Not again. They're saying we're punishing these federal workers because of our dysfunction. No, you're punishing because you're dysfunction. I'm willing to end the punishment, okay? I want to. I want to end the dysfunction again. I want to eliminate shutdowns for all time. I'm getting up 15 years. I'm getting sick and tired of this. So it's so. It's so easy to do just. It's so easy to do.
Tony Kennett
To be fair, though. I admire the optimism, you know, the idea that they said, well, actually, we want you to go a little bit extra here. We want you to go a little bit further and extend the payment to those who are furloughed. And I know you're saying, well, that's unnecessary, but. All right, here you go. We saw Mike Lawler in the House do this with Hakeem. Hakeem's been running around chanting when he's not mad about sombrero pictures, that all he wants is Obamacare subsidies. And so Mike Lawler trots up and says, hey, check this out. I got it laminated at the FedEx Kinkos this morning. It gives those subsidies to you and Hakeem short circuits like a teapot that's been boiling water for too long. He just starts fuming and yelling, who's your boss? Because he's not even expecting that the Republicans would just say, all right, fine, here you go. Will you reopen the government? I've never seen worse acting. I mean, did you ever think that theater majors would make it this far into Congress? It's not even when even MSNBC has to go in front of their audience and admit that Americans are really not believing the Democrats latest shtick on this. At what point do you just hold acting classes in the House and the Senate?
Senator Ron Johnson
Well, that's got to be very painful for MSNBC to admit that, because that is why Democrats can be so disingenuous and so outrageous. Because they know the mainstream media, the lamestream media, got their back. It's basically the communication arms of the Democratic Party. So they can say anything outrageous. They never get called on. And the few times where they actually are, they literally are shocked. Don't you know who we are? You're not supporting to point out our hypocrisy, but by the way, I would completely disagree with Representative Lawless there in terms of Lawler, in terms of extending these enhanced subsidies. All the Democrats are doing with the subsidies in general, but particularly enhanced subsidies, they're just masking the utter failure of Obamacare. I've got my staff looking at this. It's very difficult because every state's different. You got literally probably thousands of policies, okay? Or at least hundreds. So it's hard to get national averages that really make any sense. We go state by state. Inflation's gone up 39% since 2013, since December. Some of these policies in some states are over 200%. They're five or six times higher than the rate of inflation. That is what Democrats are asking now. Why aren't people screaming about it? It's because a very large majority of people on the Obamacare exchanges get subsidized for most of their coverage. An example, you know, these enhanced subsidies go away. You know, I'll take a look at one. A family of four, 30 year old parents at the poverty line. Their policy costs $18,000 a year and right now it's a zero premium policy. They get it for free. If the enhanced subsidy goes away, they'll get a subsidy of 17,500. They had to pay $10 a week for the health care. That's it. Okay? Now they're the poverty line. I mean, it's hard for them to afford anything. But the subsidies aren't going away. Obamacare in all its gory destructiveness remains in place. The subsidies that they put in place, they remain. It's just that the temporary Covid ones meant to mask the increase in premiums for people above 400% of the poverty line. You know, families making more than $120,000 and above are getting subsidies as well. That's what they wanted. That's the, you know, that's what they want to keep going. They want to keep extending.
Tony Kennett
No. And that's one of the things I thought was the most interesting in Lawler coming out and giving the Democrats technically what it was that they wanted. And Hakeem still turned it down. But I digress, because since you obviously have spent a lot of time on the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, of course, you were the chair from 2015-21, I believe. And right now, because you're getting ready to hold a town hall, am I correct? You're getting ready to do some, some kind of town hall.
Senator Ron Johnson
Right.
Tony Kennett
So one of the things that, that I have seen a lot of, again, Cory Booker ranting in circles, yelling about is the Venezuela situation and that the Trump administration dares to strike narco terrorist boats in the southern Caribbean. Now the gravely destroyer is down in Trinidad. Do you think this is the end and a full scale land war is at hand and that, you know, this is clearly the, in all of human history or whatever, at least. I'm, I'm sorry, Cory Booker's speech got a little boring for me.
Senator Ron Johnson
Well, I certainly hope this is the end of Maduro regime. It's, it's, it's a illegitimate regime. They obviously falsified the election. The Venezuelan people have been living, been forced to live in poverty. They impoverished that nation. It's, it's, it is a narco terrorist state. And you know, one thing I learned when I was chairman of Homeland Security went down to Southern Command and you saw our interdiction efforts. At most, we interdict about 10% of the drugs coming in this country from places like Venezuela. I come from manufacturing. In manufacturing, 10% would be considered a scrap rate. It's costly business knocking out these narco boats, which, by the way, we had Secretary of State Marco Rubio come in to Senate lunch and told us we have exquisite intelligence on these things. We know exactly these are drug boats. Is that one of the reasons, you know, that if we were knocking out some luxury liners or something, or innocent people being killed, you'd have that plaster out of the noose. Nobody's coming forward and being outraged by these people who are being blown out of the water. And by the way, boat smuggling has dramatically decreased. You can't protect your nation. This is by and large an active war against the United States by anarcho terrorist state. You can't deal with an illegitimate regime. Hopefully you can put pressure on them and have the Venezuelan people topple it. They try to do it by elections. I mean, they had the people make copies of the election results. Maduro obviously lost, but again, he's a dictator.
Tony Kennett
Just out of curiosity here, do you think that Secretary of State Marco Rubio could add to his list of jobs next president of Venezuela? After all, he's doing so many.
Senator Ron Johnson
I see a lot of Internet memes, whether it's Pope or, you know.
Tony Kennett
Yeah.
Senator Ron Johnson
Every new opening, he's obviously a key candidate.
Tony Kennett
Senator Ron Johnson in Wisconsin. I don't mean to keep you. I know the Democrats have to go vote against your latest measure, so we won't want to keep you away from that. Thanks again.
Senator Ron Johnson
Have a great day.
Tony Kennett
All right. Just a few things on the bonus tonus side of the show this evening that are extra special to me because I. I remember telling you that Korean Jean Pierre, she's historic, but she's just like you and me. She. She puts on her pants one leg at a time. You know, when she wakes up in the morning. That's not true. I'm very sorry. Actually, when Korean Jean Pierre wakes up, she wakes up to do two things, which is be black and be queer. At least that's what I think she's trying to say. This is a really weird thing, but I just have missed this so much. From the former press secretary of Karine, do you have any regrets at all for anything that you said while you.
Korean Jean-Pierre
Were speaking on behalf of this administration?
Tony Kennett
Look, it's a simple yes or no.
Karine Jean-Pierre
You don't even know because you're asking for a yes or no question. I want to put some context to it, too.
Tony Kennett
I woke up every day.
Karine Jean-Pierre
I woke up every day very proud to be the White House press Secretary. I woke up every day as a. As a black woman who is queer, who had never. No one had ever seen someone like me at that podium, standing behind that lectern. It was an honor and a privilege to have that job. And I did it to the best of my.
Tony Kennett
I woke up every day. I woke up. I woke up. Two things very important to me. Number one, I was black. Number two, I was queer. And let me tell you, you ain't seen anything as black or as queer as me. At that press podium before. That's a weird thing to say. That's a weird thing to tell people.
Producer Nick
Producer Nick Horton hears a who scene. We are queer. We are queer.
Tony Kennett
I'm. I'm. I'm impressed. I'm. I'm impressed. I. Someday I hope that I can be as historic as maybe like Gavin Newsom, as black and as queer as Karine Jean Pierre. Boy, if I eat enough Wonder Bread. Maybe so.
Producer Nick
And the Kraft Mac and Cheese.
Tony Kennett
And the Kraft Mac and Cheese stacked five high, you know, five stack of it or something. So that brings us over to some silliness from the. I don't want to say the Republican side of the aisle, but there is a chapter. Excuse me, there's a former chapter of the College Republicans up in Massachusetts. Yes. So brave. So stunning and brave. A friend of the show, Nick Solheim over from the American Moment Organization. We've had him on the show several times. I believe that was the episode where you rotoscoped me in a winter coat. Yes, yes, excellent. Nick Solheim, he went up to speak to the College Republican chapter up at Boston College, and he spoke about several things. One of the things that he spoke about is that you need to be prepared for the violence that is in fact coming in this country, because there are those on the left who want to kill you. Very, very true. We all have seen in the last two months that expressed in some of the most egregious ways possible, not only resulting in the deaths of our friends, like Charlie Kirk, but also resulting in the deaths of those that they claim to love, like the detainees at the ICE facility. When the again, the member of the antifa terror group tried to assassinate members of ICE at the facility in Texas. So Nick Solheim got up there and said, hey, you know, you need to be prepared. You know, you need to essentially be prepared to get out there and defend yourself. And, you know, this is. You basically don't walk around with your head in the sand. And the College Republican chapter at Boston College. After Nick left, he. It was reported that the College Republican chapter had disavowed Nick Soleim for coming and speaking. Here was their statement, quote. On Monday, October 20th, Boston College Republicans hosted American Moment CEO Nick Solheim. We were later informed by the Office of student involvement that Mr. Solheim had not been approved to speak on campus. It was not our intention to host any unauthorized events at Boston College. Producer Nick I need you to find out how much federal money Boston College takes every year.
Senator Ron Johnson
Oh, pull it up, Jamie.
Tony Kennett
Thank you. All right, so they Say this lapse in understanding was a procedural oversight and result of a sincere miscommunication while organizing our event. So if you can't hear it, so far, they're licking gravel for the university. We are currently working with the Office of Student Involvement. If you've ever been at college, that's the worst group on campus. The Office of Student Involvement is where a bunch of aggressive, angry white women who are too insufferable, too, to be part of any other club. Make life hell for people on the university campus and the Office of the Dean of Students to resolve this matter. Here's the best part, though. Furthermore, Mr. Solheim's views and rhetoric were unprecedented and unrepresentative of the views of our club members. And we do not endorse any of these views. No, sir. We don't agree with Mr. Solheim that this is not a time to engage in the marketplace of ideas. We uphold the notion of civil discourse and believe there's always a time for respectful discussion, even with those who do not agree with us. And then. Are you ready for this quote? We are pleased to welcome Democratic Congressman Jake Ochenhaus at our upcoming event. Signed, the Executive board of the Boston College Republicans. Oh, so stunning and so brave, by the way, I just want to let you know out there, as a public service announcement, if someone is expressing their desire to kill you or to be violent towards you, you are not required to hold a civil discourse conversation with them. Absolutely not. First of all, concealed carry. You need to carry and carry responsibly. God made all men. Sam Colt made them equal. You need to carry. Because if someone attacks you, which the left has already shown they're willing to do, the media is already willing to cover for. And after about 15 seconds, there will be all of the progressive left over on social media cheering your death, or perhaps your sexual assault before your death, as has been done multiple times in the last couple of weeks, not months and years, although it has, of course, populated those time lengths as well. And the idea, well, we need to have civil discourse. And actually, if someone says they want to kill me, then I need to listen and give them a hug. Because after all, the most Republican thing ever is being stepped on. You don't need to have a humiliation fetish to be a Republican. You don't. And it is a very good thing that Nick Soleim stood his ground. And by the way, not only did Nick stand his ground as well, but Jake Wipert the. I guess the head of the board for the College Republicans in Boston College refused to step down. And the CEO of the College Republicans for America, William Branson Donahue then directed the College Republicans board to completely dismiss the Boston College Republicans as a chapter affiliated with the organization at all. Now, by the way, the disavowment social media posts have now been deleted and Boston, or excuse me, the College Republicans of America have released an official statement saying, Boston College Republicans, you're in violation of your charter contract under CR of America's code of conduct. Basically said, here's the areas where you screwed up. You can apply for another charter following the removal of your sitting president. Piss off. Excuse me. Respectfully, Martin Bertau, the president of the College Republicans of America. Good on him. Good on him. Now I'm also seeing some pearl clutching because the Daily Signal Lorenzo Pareto covered this as well this particular happening and there was someone who got very, very, very upset. I guess his name is Jason Hart and, and he whined that the Daily Signal did not include a quote. In essence, at one point Nick Solheim said according to an article, no, we're not having a neat and tidy debate in the so called marketplace of ideals that is long past. Solheim said, quote, this is according to an article. I haven't seen a video to confirm this quote. But we don't assassinate, attack indiscriminately or violate our enemy and for a simple reason. As Tucker Carlson once said, that's not how white men fight. Now from, from what this sounds like, there was probably some laughter after that. That seems to be like a, a joking way to say that. By the way, as Carlson had before. I'm more than happy to call out things that Carlson says that I find distasteful or whatever. In this case though, there's no context around that, but apparently the pearl clutchers online are very mad and are claiming that. Well actually, actually see Nick Scholeim is actually a super duper white supremacist kind of a guy. No, no, no, no, no. Don't be dumb, don't be dumb, don't be dumb, don't say stupid things and enjoy your time getting your charter revoked over whining that an American who said yeah, you don't need to be shot is not endorsing the free marketplace of ideals. In other news, antifa over the weekend, I believe in Portland was this where they were carrying away their tent? Antifa in Portland carrying away their tent from a scene of protest riots. They didn't just take down the tent, they picked up the tent and carried it off. Prompting a rather interesting exchange from the crowd. What's in there? Why don't you guys want to show us what's in there? What's in there? Is there maybe weapons? What is it? Those tent poles are done. Yeah, that tent is totaled. They just don't want us to see what's in there. Camp cleared. Camp cleared. Hmm. Interesting stuff. I'm sure that really what's in that tent, Producer Nick, is the free marketplace of ideas. That's. That's all that's in there. Very, very important. Uh, last but not least, I, I, Zoran Mamdani. In his great campaign, he's brought out the one thing the Democrats really desperately need more than absolutely anything to his little freeze the rent movements for the Democrat Party. He's brought out the liberal white women, because right now there's a. There's a coalition. You have the LGBTQ +2IA8765309. Jenny, call my number. You have the, like, aggressive jihadist, pro Palestinian Hamas. Nicks, you have the illegal immigrant faction having a really good time. And then last but certainly not least, you have the white women. The white women are the most desperate of all to be affirmed and how wonderful and just they are. And they don't like being called radical because their ideas aren't radical. And so here you go to Zoran Frees, the rent rally. Some state representative of New York no one's ever heard of saying, you know, we're not radical. Abolishing law enforcement for border patrol and immigration, that's not radical.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
Is it radical to fight to abolish ice?
Tony Kennett
No, said the white women. No, it's not. Now, someone call the police. There's someone parked in my neighborhood, and I don't know who they are. Yes, the white. The left. The leftist white women are fine. They're very. They're doing great. So I'm very thrilled, as always, to see the left acting exactly as you'd expect. Producer Nick.
Senator Ron Johnson
Oh, pull it up, Jamie.
Producer Nick
What? Apologies. The button. Joseph Overton hangs his head in shame as he watches the window continually move.
Tony Kennett
It really is. It really is funny watching every little bit of this as they continue just to dive into complete insanity. They don't care. Because at the end of the day, if they just say it loud enough, then they can snap their fingers, and then everyone gets free handouts, you know, like in Venezuela, you know? Cause remember in 2011, they were really prosperous and you had this guy come through and said, I'll give you all of this free stuff, and it'll be, like, super amazing. And. And then you know, Venezuela just snapped their fingers and started paying for things. And again, 60 Minutes here, CBS. Here's what Venezuela looks like now.
Karine Jean-Pierre
Freedom isn't the only thing in short supply in Venezuela. Hunger, chronic blackouts and a scarcity of essential medicines plague the country.
Tony Kennett
Yeah, but the rent's frozen.
Karine Jean-Pierre
Today, more than 70% of residents live in poverty.
Tony Kennett
Yeah, but they're like equally poor. Spread the wealth around. There's no wealth. But I mean, you know, it's. Again, if you have a cheese pizza, then the pepperoni is always equally distributed. Plain cheese pizza. I'm telling you, we're really breaking into.
Producer Nick
This position of equity.
Tony Kennett
I might run for Congress if I ever get as AOC would say Latino and queer enough. I'm excited.
Karine Jean-Pierre
It is a stunning reversal of fortune for a nation that was once one of the wealthiest countries in the world. Venezuela's economy was crippled by disastrous socialist policies and mismanagement.
Tony Kennett
Wait a minute. That's CBS man. Barry Weiss is already doing work over there.

A Crisis exacerbated by 20 years of US sanctions imposed in direct response to the regime's anti democratic actions, human rights violations and corruption.
Tony Kennett
Now, the comments are under this video are very complaining. Oh, it's all that. The sanctions did this. The sanctions did this. I do enjoy how whenever there is a socialist regime, they are so quick to completely dismiss the human rights violations thing. There can be like explicit footage of people in the governing group saying, hey, look, sexually assaulting women. I'm happy about it. I'm proud of it. Here's a recording of me doing it. And, and they'll go, well, that's just, that's just what colonized, sanctioned people do. That's just, you know, I mean, of course the black people are killing themselves in the neighborhood. They're oppressed. That's why they're doing it in Chicago. Ah, the white women are here to tell us all about the world. Yay. So disgusting. Despicable. No, Venezuelan people are not committing human atrocities because that's what Venezuelan people naturally do. No, black people in Chicago aren't committing murder because that's just what oppressed peoples do. Crimes are your choice. Crimes are the factor of cultural encouragement. You coming out a certain color or being born in a certain country doesn't automatically make it okay for you to commit crimes or be excused from certain things that you do. This is something that has kind of been an opinion of the right for some time. But again, coalition of white women, they want their caste system. So, you know, have a really good time, I suppose Radio crew, Livestream crew, everywhere crew. Thanks for tuning in this evening. We'll be back tomorrow with a whole lot more news and nonsense. This is the Tony Kinnit cast here on the Daily Signal, nationally syndicated, first on 93 WIBC. Take care.

Host: Tony Kinnett (The Daily Signal)
This episode of The Tony Kinnett Cast delves into congressional financial transparency scandals (featuring Rep. The show is suffused with Kinnett’s hallmark sardonic tone, rapid-fire commentary, and satirical asides, with notable guest commentary from Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin. Producer Nick provides additional commentary throughout.

[05:30 – 08:52]
“The real victim, Zoran Mamdami wants you to know is his mysterious imaginary aunt who may have gotten a dirty look from someone on September 12, 2001.” (Tony Kinnett, 07:44)
[10:37 – 14:25]
“We are not the crazy ones, New York City. We are not the outlandish ones ... We are sane.” (AOC, 14:03)

[49:58 – 52:23]
“At most, we interdict about 10% of the drugs coming in this country from places like Venezuela.” (Senator Johnson, 51:09)

“We are not the crazy ones. New York City. We are sane.”
(AOC, 14:03)

“We’ve passed 6 out of 180. So, 96.7% failure rate.”
(Sen. Ron Johnson, 43:30)
“At most we interdict about 10% ... 10% would be considered a scrap rate.”
(Sen. Ron Johnson, 51:09)
This lively and densely packed episode blends investigative exposés, political theater, and mockery. Tony Kinnett’s commentary frames both congressional hypocrisy and progressive messaging as fundamentally performative and disconnected from substantive solutions, while Senator Ron Johnson provides an inside view of Senate gridlock. The show closes with culture war reflections, more irreverent jabs, and a preview of tomorrow’s news-packed episode.
