Tony Kennett, host of the Tony Kennett cast. Let's get down to business. You're listening to the Tony Kennett cast on 93 WIBC on CYTV, here on the Daily Signal. Good evening and welcome to the Tony Kennett cast here on the Daily Signal, nationally syndicated, first on 93 WIBC. The situation following the murder of two students at Brown University, one of whom there are now reports that was shot multiple times by the shooter who has still not been captured, this being a. This victim who was shot multiple times in a targeted attack. The vice president of the Brown University Republican chapter. They're also one of the other victims who died. Who was murdered, the Uzbekistani immigrant. And then, of course, there are seven others who are injured and in the hospital at this time. The Providence, Rhode Island, Police Department and Brown University have brought forward what must be one of the most lackluster and pathetic responses from any law enforcement agency that I have ever seen in bringing forth information about this particular school shooter. I will remind you that as an Ivy League school that gets not only private but federal tax dollars through endowments and just about everything else, that that is a university that had oodles canoodles and toaster strudels of cash to fund on things like security cameras and making sure those security cameras are pointing at entrances and exits, say in case someone tries to break into a. Or break in through a door. That is a key card lock situation. That didn't stop. That didn't stop. Police Chief Lopez in a press conference from now saying that he doesn't know whether the camera footage is outside, inside, upside down. It's, it's humiliating. So the video that we showed you.
Rob Bluey
Came from inside the building.
Tony Kennett
And that's all we had at the moment. Now it's all we have at this moment. Inside the building, though. I'm sorry, it's from the outside of the building.
Governor Tim Walz
From the outside.
Tony Kennett
From the.
Christina Paxson
So do you have video footage both inside and outside?
Governor Tim Walz
I'm sorry.
Tony Kennett
So he doesn't know the difference between having someone in custody and detaining someone. Then it's, it's inside, outside, upside down. He doesn't know what's going on.
Producer Nick
Producer Nick Can I have the guy that's correcting the quote, police chief, give the actual press conference. Do you remember this? Incompetent man.
Tony Kennett
I don't mean this. I'm not trying to introduce levity because the evening needs it, but it should be noted that As a teacher, I'd have students who would give junior, high, middle school science presentations, and they would all just kind of in and out, come forward and make statements whenever they thought. And it was this big gaggle. But I mean, they're junior hires given a science presentation. You know, they're not expecting them to be.
Producer Nick
I saw that go all the way through till college.
Tony Kennett
So adults in a serious press conference. I mean, it. This is humiliating. The police chief has no idea what he's doing. At one point he started. Well, I mean, at one point the police chief just started babbling in Spanish. He received a question. Just started, you know, giving his full answer to the question.
Producer Nick
Yeah, that's another point that continually is brought up. Why do we have these American Sign Language interpreters? We have the technology to produce captioning live for television. We do not need that unless there's a deaf reporter that they're specifically speaking to. But I'm sure that reporter would be able to lip Reid.
Tony Kennett
Right. Well, let's go ahead and play his. Yes. So as was. As was talked about the sign language interpreter who for every, you know, press statement before is out there doing the YMCA and like the most flamboyant signing again with captioning software. Now, you don't need this at a press conference. You just don't. But then all of a sudden, he goes silent and stands there and again he goes on like this for a minute, doesn't say anything particularly important. And then we get to one of the most infuriating things is that again, people have been pointing out there are like 800 closed circuit TV cameras that are recording video and audio on this campus that have facial recognition technology. We could find out maybe what student let the shooter into the building. It was a locked engineering building. Key cards on campuses have been a thing for like 20, 30 years. My dude here was more of this nonsense.
Unidentified Commentator
It doesn't come as a surprise to me, at least that there are cameras in the newer part of the building and there is video footage. Okay, so there's the back part of the building, old part and front part, new part.
Tony Kennett
So here's the new thing. So we had cameras on the inside and the outside. Then we have. Well, we had cameras in the newer part of the building, but not in the older part of the building. That's not how that works. That's not a thing. They don't just install security cameras in newer parts of the building. It's not a Hollywood movie. Where around back is the old iron key, turn the lever and Answer the gate guard's riddles. That's not how this works.
Unidentified Commentator
The shooting occurs in the old part, towards the back, up towards Hope street, in that older part of the building. There are fewer, if any cameras in that location, I imagine, because it's an older building. So as students are fleeing the area of the shooting into the new part of the building, there are cameras in that brand new building that show that chaos.
Tony Kennett
But do they show any of the footage of that to the public? No. In fact, they've been incredibly selective about the footage that has been shown very far out there kind of information. By the way, I do want to point out Western Lensman, who provides a lot of the footage and the clips for the show, pointed out that it is insane that the Attorney General of Rhode island, that was who was speaking. Corona. He said it's insane that he's still speaking like this. Fewer, if any cameras, I imagine, because it's an older building. You have supposedly been working on this particular Investigation now for 4872 hours. Mayor Smiley has already yelled at the press and the public for not being considerate of their little napping and coffee schedule. Why are you still guessing about how many cameras are there? You should know how many cameras, the amount of footage that you have from them, the process of that footage, whether they have audio that's been corrupted or not, where you're getting that from, where it's stored, individuals that are still on campus, how many individuals have left. You should be trying to get in contact with those people that have now left campus. How have you not solved these things yet? If I, as a middle school robotics coach and science teacher, could figure out where the number of students that I had in an event was after we were put in a lockdown, sure as hell, Brown University with its buckets of cash, both foreign and local, should have been able to figure this one out. But of course not. Of course not. And so it rests again on the Internet super sleuths to find things out. Now, I want to put a little bit of a proviso right up front. They have not, at this point in time, confirmed the identity of the shooter. They have not listed a primary suspect. Now, I have information that there was a bulletin that went out to a particular U.S. marshal's office in New England, actually in Providence, that listed a person of interest, physical description, characteristics. Other than that, we do not have confirmation of this individual. However, some of the events that are happening simultaneously and are happening individually singled out. I believe that it is necessary to point out right now that though the Providence, Rhode Island Police Department has not come forward and said, this is our primary suspect guy, because they've already caught and released one individual. And we believe that. I believe the FBI under Cash Patel is running under a. We don't really say who we're looking for. That way he gets comfortable and we catch him. Kind of a routine. That particular situation aside, information has begun to come out about a very strange series of occurrences regarding the Brown University website. On the Brown University website, they had featured students that they were very. Are very super duper extra proud of. One of these is a student by the name of Mustafa Carbaugh. He is a student of the center for Middle Eastern Studies and his specialties are LGBTQ studies and pro Palestinian studies. Because of course, you can see him here wearing a black jacket, hands in the pockets, and the Amazon keffiyeh. This individual, over the last 24 hours, after a particular account on X named Zero Hour, who does a lot of work with PP USA, started noticing some very interesting things in his work. Also saw the Brown University website beginning to scrub all of the websites and pages that they had of this individual on Facebook and on X. Brown University had scrubbed any posts related to this particular student, Mustafa. There was a link up on Blue sky that, while still up, now leads to a 404 page or a page not found kind of a page. They've scrubbed their entire website about this particular student information now. Also, a Twitter account that was believed to belong to him has also been scrubbed and deleted. Now we have some archival information about the research from this particular individual. Some of the, may I say, rather concerning things and what appear to be some kind of manifesto. We're going to get to this. And Providence is, as we speak, trying to respond to this. And they're doing a terrible job of it. Radio crew, we have to send you over to the commercial. We're going to continue on the live stream. It's the Tony Kennett cast producer Nick, before we dig into this guy's history, you want to. You want to talk about this.
Producer Nick
Accompanying the LGBTQ interest in the description of his X account. I don't know if you can back up there to show it the interesting set of pronouns that he has attributed.
Tony Kennett
Yes, he has. They slash he pronouns. Now that brings us to his particular work. So he has focused on quite a lot in his time. Essentially, he claims to be this multi generational Palestinian advocate activist. In some of his research, he refers to the continent of North America as Turkish Turtle island, which is the term given to The United States by a lot of these terrorist organizations that call the United States the Occupy. Basically they call Turtle island the Native American name for the North American continent.
Producer Nick
It has become name that the group made up to justify the backing of their quite irrational and radical views.
Tony Kennett
Correct. While they claim that Turtle island is what the United States was called, there's no evidence for this in any Native American studies. And I know because I have the actual books on the Native American studies right here behind me. So in this particular instance, it has become a buzzword that they use that they made up to justify terrorist activity, that being the Turtle Island Liberation Front group. So he's also referred to the United States as Turtle Island. There's another piece of information that's also rather suspicious that while the FBI has positively identified that a 9 millimeter firearm was used in the shooting at Brown University last year, a Mustafa k left a five star review to a Breek arms 9 millimeter muzzle break. Over on the website Wing Tactical, an online firearms retailer. We have now confirmed, by the way, that this is not someone writing a new review. This was dated back at the time. But I'm sure there's a lot of people who have the name, you know, Mustafa. Does that make this guy the guy you know? Does that make this particular individual the shooter? No, that does not. Does that make him a person of interest? Absolutely, 100% it makes him a person of interest. And there were immediately quite a few questions because at this point the Providence, Rhode Island Police Department has released more vague, Bigfoot style blurry footage in the background. And when asked about it, by the way, why they only have blurry footage of the background, you. Here's the response from the Rhode Island Police Department.
Unidentified Commentator
There is no footage.
Brian O'Hara
I can.
Unidentified Commentator
I'll try to say it again. There is no footage that depicts this individual that would be useful in identifying him.
Tony Kennett
Did you catch that? So he didn't just say there's no footage that would be useful in identifying him. Shouldn't you release every scrap of footage that has this guy in it? Shouldn't you release every single scrap of footage? Because if we know anything from the Internet and noticing very minor details out of footage is something that kind of comes naturally to the online kind of independent journalism community. Producer Nick yeah, I was going to.
Producer Nick
Say leave the wholesale package. Let people find and do your job for you. And I think this could be solved quite a bit faster.
Tony Kennett
As I will always point out to the Internet historian, the Bike Lock of Berkeley situation. You can absolutely rely on the autists over at 4chan rest in peace to get some of that particular information found. Now, on the same level here, I do want to point out there are those who are showing a video of the, of his gait, his walking analysis. So there's, you can see on the right side of the screen here for those who are watching and not listening, the individual, this Mustafa character who is walking and yelling and protesting in his keffiyeh. And then the individual in the security footage who is walking. This would be the cell phone recording the computer screen video. And the argument they're making is that he walks pretty much the same. To stand down as Brown University officials.
Christina Paxson
Temporarily suspend the school's chapter of Students.
Tony Kennett
For Justice in Palestine, pointing out that he walks really. Similarly, there's also a, a, a post that's put up. Someone ran kind of a, a, a body size and gait analysis tool gate being like how he walks. And it's a 97.8% match. Confidence is high. I'm gonna put a little bit of a damper on this one. Particularly because the story of the January 6th Pipe Bomber, where originally someone else completely different was supposedly proven to be them based on a gate analysis ended up being incorrect. So it is rather important here to point out that yes, while people are doing these, he walks the same, he's the same height, you know, 17 Starbucks vent tall kind of situation. Careful on that side. What I will say right now though is that Brown is actively removing information on this guy. And the president's now responded. We're going to get to that. It's the Tony Kenneth cast. We got to bring the radio crew back from commercial.
Producer Nick
Bingo.
Tony Kennett
It's the Tony Kennett cast with special guest Rob Bluey. Hang on just a second because normally we would at this point in time cut over to Rob Bluey, who we will to in a minute. No, we have to finish this conversation about the Rhode island situation. Brown University. There are additional updates. Producer Nick, go ahead and pull up the information on the MIT professor who was also murdered. Given that it's an hour away, some of the suspicions swirling around, I want to bring those updates to everyone as well right now. Christina Paxson has just been asked at a press conference held right before we went on air. She's the president of the of Brown University who went before Congress and said, yeah, you know, we were sheltering the pro Palestine riots. But come on, that that particular university president, she has been asked as to why the university is now scrubbing any information related to this particular student or also a pro Palestine Palestinian Studies professor whose information they're sort of locking down again, regarding Mustafa, Completely wiped away. Here's Paxton's response. Leave some web pages for students or faculty been taken down. Is that a response to any external threats to anyone in the community?
Christina Paxson
We have been working very closely with law enforcement to provide them with all of the internal to Brown information that they need to do this investigation.
Tony Kennett
That's some obfuscating stuff. To start, we've provided all the police with everything right away. I didn't ask, ma'. Am, I asked you. People are pointing out one student's profile has been. You think no one in that police department's caught this by now? You think no one at the Brown University staff has talked to her about this? I'm just going to make this rather clear. If something very big happens in the world, one of the first things that I do as someone involved in that situation in the media ecosystem, I. I contact my boss, the very guy whose intro music just played. If you're in a situation in which you're part of an organization that is dealing with a serious controversy or a scandal or a tragedy, you let your president know relative things that a lot of people are talking about. Here's her answer, though, regarding this, their investigation.
Christina Paxson
They're the professionals, so we're providing information. We're not in the job of reviewing it for them. I know nothing about webpages being taken down as part of this.
Tony Kennett
I know nothing about webpages being taken down as a part of this.
Christina Paxson
First I've heard of it.
Tony Kennett
Oh, this is. And then this is the first I've heard of it. I don't like that answer. I'm going to be very honest with you guys. I just don't care for that. I don't know anything about any taking of web pages down as a part of this. We have looked through some tertiary, secondary and tertiary analytics software. It's very hard to keep track of another website's data that you don't own. Very, very difficult. Same with the podcasting sphere. But there are individuals who I have worked with previously to track certain analytics. To be frank with you, it's because I used to own a website that then I then no longer owned. Wanted to keep tabs on it, kept some of those research tools since then. And there have been no other students information. Who was scrubbed? Mustafa Mufasa, whatever this individual's name is, is not supposed to graduate until 2027. There were no social media posts that suggested he was transferring somewhere. Again, he was an honored featured Student. I mean, a pro Palestine LGBTQ +2IA activist. Wow, you can't buy that kind of awesome student record. So again, it, it is just a little suspicious at this point in time. Now, again, does this mean the guy did it? No, it doesn't. But does it mean this is a person of interest who absolutely should have information sought out about them? Yes. Now, I do have knowledge internally of a report sent a. Not a memo, a bulletin, I should say internally to a U.S. marshal's office in New England that outlines dark, wavy, curly hair and the general build of this Mustafa character as a person of interest. That's all I had. And I mean, they were very, very on background. Just told me a bulletin went in up to Providence, Rhode island, and assumedly also to Boston for the US Marshal's office. Now, there are other speculatory situations regarding another murder which took place. Producer Nick this was a professor at mit, I believe a nuclear scientist. Can you tell us a little bit about this?
Producer Nick
Yeah, he was a nuclear scientist. His research was actually very prominent within the fusion area of expertise. He was 47. Nuno Laurier, 47, was found inside his Brooklyn house by police responding to reports of a man shot from around 8:30pm.
Tony Kennett
It'S reported that he had a. An Israel, like a pro Israel kind of yard sign.
Producer Nick
There's a bit of obfuscation about the nature of his ethnicity. Some prominent reporters have suggested that he himself was Jewish, but the consensus seems to be that he did have openly on social media, pro Israeli comments. The thing that the Brooklyn Police Department most relevant to the story here was they came out and said that they do not believe that the two shootings are connected. That's currently a conspiracy theory. I shouldn't say conspiracy theory.
Tony Kennett
The rumor mill online is currently working overtime. So I presented the information in this particular situation right now for three reasons, because I've already said, this is really sick. You guys are trying to dox this individual. I, I want to make this clear right now. I do not believe that the Rhode Island Providence Police Department is doing everything it can to bring this individual who committed this crime to justice. I believe based on evidence that I have seen that there is sufficient evidence that this is a person of interest whom, by the way, if police do speak to this individual and no connection at all to the shooting. Good. I don't want people to have connections to things. Do I find it incredibly suspicious that right now Brown University is scrubbing information? Someone said, well, what if it's the student who just doesn't want to be blamed for this. Students don't scrub their own information from university web pages. That's not how that functions. And if there's someone from the university that's doing this, then it needs to be said. Why? If Paxton believe. Well, we're just getting rid of students who might be blamed for things from websites so they're not harassed. Okay, that would be a very good thing. And if there's a statement that comes out from Brown University, as I suspect pretty soon there will have to be, then we will absolutely update with that particular information. I do believe that it is important though that for persons of interest that realistically whether we're talking about Mustafa Kharbauch or the Palestine professor Bashara Dalmani, who served as the president of bisrat University between 21 and 23. Interesting stuff. Having that information and individuals keeping an eye out is a good thing. I think police should be aware of those kinds of things. That's not a negative.
Producer Nick
There's two points that make it defensible about why this needs to be discussed. The timing and the denial. The timing of the instances of the eraser of information about this individual and only one student.
Tony Kennett
There are no other students that we can tell based on the web analytics right now that show any other students information is being scrubbed which wouldn't necessarily.
Producer Nick
In itself be something of concern until you have the nature of the denial of representatives of Brown.
Tony Kennett
Let's talk about media. I didn't mean to cut you off, but just looking at the radio clock, Christina Paxton, then again president of Brown decided to give one of the most bizarre things I have ever heard. This was earlier today, excuse me, I shouldn't say then did earlier today she gave a bizarre statement about the questions and tips because the police just straight up yelled at the crowd. They were angry about the tips they were receiving on this particular case, which is wild. But here's Christina Paxson's comment earlier today that bothers me.
Christina Paxson
I want to begin by thanking the many law enforcement agencies who continue to work around the clock on this case. It's very impressive. I also want to thank the mayor and the governor for their continued support. The primary point that I wanted to address before we get to questions is that Brown is deeply committed to the safety and security and well being of our community. And I've been deeply saddened to see people questioning that. We understand that as time goes on there is maybe a natural instinct to assign responsibility for a tragic event like this.
Tony Kennett
There, you know, people try to ask about the motive of the shooting and People have concerns about the motive, about why an individual would do something like this. That's what she's describing.
Christina Paxson
Anxiety and fear is very natural, but the shooter is responsible. Horrific gun violence took the lives of these students and hospitalized others.
Tony Kennett
Don't ask, don't ask about the motive. It's gun violence. Gun violence is the problem. I'm sorry, I find that disgusting. I find that obfuscatory. I find that wrong. Motive matters in a shooting because if a particular ideology perpetuates that, then it needs to be something looked at in the future. Radio. Sorry, we're a minute over on the FCC clock side of things. They'll have to forgive me tonight. We're going to continue on the live stream. It's the Tony Kenned cast. Producer Nick please.
Producer Nick
Two things that are horribly disgusting here. The critique of outside sources aiding in an investigation being condemned as well as.
Tony Kennett
Brown University blocking people actively. Now, by the way, on social media who are part of this investigation, you.
Producer Nick
Have individuals such as Smiley saying, oh, we're tired. Your goal as a representative in addressing the media isn't to make excuses for why the investigation is continuing. It's explaining what efforts are currently happening to continue to further the investigation.
Tony Kennett
So I do want to talk about that because Smiley PR campaign, Smiley, the mayor of Providence did come out this afternoon and his focus is saying that, well, we're all going to heal. No, we're not here at the move on stage yet of this. The perpetrator is still out there, armed and dangerous.
Unidentified Speaker
It's starting to get very personal for our community, which is hard. And that's I think, where we are sort of.
Tony Kennett
It's starting to get really personal for our community and that's hard. Thank you.
Unidentified Speaker
Emotionally, in the process, you can see.
Tony Kennett
The sign language interpreter doing his full calisthenics.
Unidentified Speaker
But we're here from one another. That's the scary side. The upside is that this is a tight knit community that looks out for one another. The governor was there. All the officials who were up here with me tonight were with us at Lippett park last night. It was 10 degrees, it was loosely organized and yet hundreds of people came out because they wanted to be with one another. They were hugging their neighbors, they were crying and they were offering each other support.
Tony Kennett
So the Brown University has now issued a statement condemning the doxing of a student whose name has been widely circulated online. So they're suggesting in the aftermath of the shooting, we've seen harmful doxing activity. It's important to make clear that targeting individuals do Irrevocable harm, accusations, speculation and conspiracies we're seeing on social media. They condemn it. They say it's not unusual as a safety measure to take steps to protect an individual. Safety. There you go. So the Brown University is saying, well, actually we started scrubbing all of the students information praising his academic work instead of just saying, yeah, this isn't the guy. We're going to leave his stuff up because it's in the guy. Which they could have said. Instead, well, they start taking down everything relating to this particular student and they don't name the student in the statement. They say, as law enforcement officials clearly stated on Tuesday afternoon, if this individual's name had any relevance to the current investigation. They didn't say that. They didn't say that. The, the situation regarding this student had nothing. They said they would be actively looking for this individual and providing information publicly. No. When you have over 800 cameras on campus and only two cameras from 1854 catch blurry, distant photos and then instead of communicating what you are doing as you are doing it and answering questions, you start blocking people and cutting things out. Absolutely not. And to this point, no, I still believe that if there is any relevant information, then absolutely 120% individuals should report sightings of this individual to police if there is a question. And the police, the Providence, Rhode Island Police Department confirms he's not a person of interest or a suspect. If the Federal Bureau investigation indicates that by name, this person not involved. Thank you for the tips. You see something, you say something. You saw something conserving concerning. He's participated in LGBTQ plus and pro Palestine activism. He's called for globalizing the antifada on protests that we've seen on camera. Then I will say, okay, yeah, sure. But Brown obliquely, kind of vaguely referring in that way. No, no, not, not convinced yet. You actually have to act like adults. All right, we are going to swivel over and talk about some of the huge updates coming out of Washington. Don't go anywhere. It's the Tony Kinnit cast here on the Daily Signal. It's the Tony Kenneth cast on 93 WYPC. Marjorie Taylor Greene last minute deal before she resigns from Congress. Not something I had on my bingo card, but fortunately I have a boss who some would say is all knowing. Those people would be wrong, but he does know a heck of a lot. So Rob Bluey, president of the Daily Signal, you may not be all knowing, but tell us a little bit about this crazy trans bill last minute. I know There's a lot of stuff moving at the House, and I'm struggling to make sense of all of it.
Rob Bluey
Well, it's typically what you get at the end of the year, Tony. Lawmakers are eager to get home and spend Christmas with their families. And so they're trying to clear the decks and get through as many different things as they can this week, healthcare being the number one priority. But basically what Marjorie Taylor Greene was able to do is extract a promise from Speaker Johnson, somebody she's had a tense relationship with with over the past few months. And essentially, in order to secure her vote on other legislation, he said, we will take up your bill and we'll have a debate and consider this transgender legislation that you've put forward. Now, as you and I both know, when polling is done on this topic, usually it's an 8020 issue. What that means is that 80% of the population generally feels that they could be in support of some of the legislation, and things as basic as the definition of a man and a woman should not be controversial in our country. Sadly, in some quarters, it seems to be that that's the case. And so what Marjorie Taylor Greene's bill attempts to do is just provide some guidance to the federal government, which during the Biden years, really got out of whack with the rest of the population in terms of its funding, the resources it was devoting to the transgender community, and even some of the procedures that were being conducted on young people who might not be fully developed and be able to make these decision decisions.
Tony Kennett
So there are a couple of things that I have to bring at the end of the year, kind of a year in review here that I believe that Americans outside of Washington have wanted and have been delivered on. A few of these are, of course, President Trump's executive orders, and also flipping around of the Department of Health and Human Services to prevent a lot of these transgender procedures for minors. Of course, he's also worked rather hard to completely flip around how the US Is dealing with anarcho terror threat, the Department of Education, bureaucratic nightmare. There's a number of things that he doing, but some of these things are only going to be cemented into American law if Congress steps in and codifies them. And so Marjorie Taylor Greene getting this bill, looking at the bill now as it's been amended, really good stuff. Of course, the. The felony that it would be to perform these transgender procedures. Do we have any response from the Thomas Massie crew, very against the national defense bill that's currently now getting Marjorie Taylor's vote in favor. That's quite a split on last minute allies, maybe.
Rob Bluey
Oh, well, there's. With, with any legislation that is as big as the National Defense Authorization act or an omnibus or any kind of spending bill, you're probably going to find some lawmakers who have to swallow some things that they don't necessarily like. And then you have people like Thomas Massie who will actually vote against that legislation. So I think that at this point, Speaker Johnson has basically discounted Thomas Massie's vote on most things and recognizes that he's either gonna vote no be with the Democrats or he'll vote present and just not support the Republican position. And that's just the reality that he lives in Speaker Johnson, that is with the narrow margin he has in the House, but with so many things that they do need to get across the finish line. I wanna pick up on one point that you just made. There's frustration right now with Republicans in Congress, particularly as you look at the election results in November. You look at where we're heading in this midterm election year, the President's party typically does not do well. What is it that Republicans need to get done if they were to lose control of Congress? And you just specifically said it there, and that is to codify the President's executive orders. These are easy, these should be easy layups. Things that the President has done throughout the course of 2025 that the next president, if it happens to be a Democrat, could completely wipe off the books. And so the best way to guard against that is to use the majority that they have in the House and the Senate right now, get the President to sign these pieces of legislation and make sure that it's in law permanently.
Tony Kennett
So the last time that you were on with us, we were talking about a series of nomination and confirmations that we were hoping for. And then between the time you and I did the interview and the time the show aired, three judges were confirmed back to back to back. Now, hopefully, you know, God forbid there's a surprise between this and the show that renders the rest of this, you know, interview irrelevant. I'm sure that producer Nick will slap that on the screen as I'm saying this. What I'm looking for is when House comes back into session because it's midterm year, right? This will be game time, go time. With a lot of Congress now out for their own little campaign runs, especially in the House, what legislation? Because there will be a lot less time for gross amounts of legislation, what do you see as kind of the key priorities heading into January, the rumblings through the Washington, D.C. sewer.
Rob Bluey
Well, Tony, you'll remember that President Trump wanted to get one thing done in 2025, and that was the one big beautiful by doing so, that means they have a second opportunity to use the budget reconciliation process. Importantly, you only need a simple majority in the Senate for that. So they don't need to worry about those 60 votes where they would have to appeal to Democrats. And our colleague Elizabeth Mitchell at the Daily Signal today asked Vice President J.D. vance if he would be willing to use that reconciliation bill on healthcare.
Tony Kennett
Thank you, Mr. Vice President. This is Elizabeth Mitchell from the Daily Signal. The health care bill released Friday by the GOP doesn't include health savings accounts. Are you comfortable with that? And would you like to see the GOP use the special reconciliation process to address health care costs and other affordability concerns?
Vice President J.D. Vance
One of the things the president has said is we have the weirdest health insurance system in the world where we tax money from all these great Americans out here and then we give boatloads of money to the insurance companies. Why don't we give that money to the American people and let them buy insurance that works for them and their families? I mean, if you look at insurance company profits, they have been skyrocketing ever since Obamacare was passed. The insurance companies have done very well under Obamacare. You know who hasn't done well under the Obamacare system of given both boatloads of money to the American people? All of you. That's what's broken about this system. It's good for insurance companies and bad for Americans. We are trying to get to a health care policy that's good for Americans. We don't care. If the insurance companies do well, great. If they do poorly, that's their problem. We are here to fight for the American worker and make health insurance affordable for them. So we're going to keep on working at it. You mentioned one piece of legislation. I probably written a dozen different pieces of legislation that are floating out there. Again, it's going to come to the point where Republicans and Democrats have to figure out what can be passed together. Of course, the president is going to drive a lot of that process. We're still reviewing some of these legislative texts as they come up. We believe that we can solve this problem, but again, the nature of our system, we're going to work with Congress to make sure we get something that's good for the American people through the Congress. Thank you.
Rob Bluey
So Vice President Vance would not commit specifically to a piece of legislation. But I think that if you're asking what Republicans should do in 2026, they have to use that reconciliation process. Democrats have done it repeatedly over the years. It's frankly the only way that they're going to get a good piece of legislation out of this Congress. Otherwise, you're going to have to be sitting down with Democrats. And you know, that's not going to.
Tony Kennett
Lead to anything good, especially considering that the Democrats have all of the leverage that they're going to need for Republicans to do poorly by stalled legislation, God forbid, another shutdown, something along those lines. Because with the midterms ticking ever closer, that's going to, God forbid, keep someone off of the campaign trail and making speeches to appeal to voters.
Rob Bluey
Absolutely. And that is why they need to be disciplined in their messaging.
Tony Kennett
Right.
Rob Bluey
Today you had a situation where Susie Wiles was a little bit on the defensive for Vanity Ferrel article. I think anytime that the left is going to look for an opportunity to hit Republicans over the head, they need to be entirely focused on the economy, which continues to be the number one issue. Healthcare is a big driver of those costs. Who's to blame for all of that? It's the Democrats. It was Joe Biden's four years in office and the exorbitant federal spending. And you can go all the way back 15 years ago to Barack Obama and the crisis that he helped create with Obamacare.
Tony Kennett
I think that's very aptly put. And speaking of that Susie Wiles situation, let's pivot to some of coverage because I've heard enough nonsense today. And so, Rob, we'll let you go and see you back here real soon.
Rob Bluey
Thanks, Tony.
Tony Kennett
All right, radio crew, we're going to send you guys off to commercial land and we're going to tackle this Susie Wiles stuff as well as some other interesting updates on the Brown University situation on the show. It's the Tony kennedcast. All right, so really quick, I just wanted to point this out again. This is the second time that the person of well, as you recall, in the Brown University shooting, they did bring in a person of interest who they had said was detained and then in custody and then he was detained again. Based on the footage that we have that they have now released. How did they possibly think that the infantryman, a rather darker individual, skinny and fit, was this Claude Hopper, who is alleged to be the shooter in the security footage? Again, I will say once more, sometimes the see something, say something kind of police work is a lot more effective than this. Pretending that we have to do all of these mental gymnastics, silly, goofy nonsense. So moving from that into some of the other news, this situation regarding Susie Wiles, the chief of staff for the White House, this article that had come out from Vanity Fair accuses Susie Wiles of saying all of this various stuff. So there was an Instagram post as well that from the Vanity Fair team that showed a bunch of like really close up faces of various members of the Trump administration like Rubio Vance, Stephen Miller, of course, Susie Wiles. And essentially they try to claim that she's said all of these things over 11 different interviews in which she said that President Trump had alcoholic behavior and Elon Musk was a ketamine user and then Pam Bondi had whiffed on the Epstein stuff. That one's accurate. I don't blame her for saying that in or out of context, suggesting that Trump wanted people to just do a bunch of various nonsense and that J.D. vance was, you know, paying people off to post bad pictures about others, whatever kind of goofiness. Vanity Fair ran this particular article and people are claiming this is the worst thing ever to happen to the Trump administration. No. Now, does it look great? No. But the issue here is not what Susie Wiles said. No, it's not. When you actually go read the article, ton of out of context stuff, little half sentences, 1/3 sentence phrases, that's how the article has been portrayed. Susie Wiles immediately got out on X and said this article is ridiculous hit piece. The entire administration got behind her and said, Susie Wiles is great. We love Susie Wiles. Wiles called it a disingenuously framed hit piece, very out of context. And that's true. I have no doubt that Vanity Fair took a lot of stuff out of context. I do have one question. Why did you give Vanity Fair access to the White House 11 different times over the last year? They're Vanity Fair. They're an old fashioned magazine. Who gives a flying F what Vanity Fair thinks. They don't need. They don't need special access. If they want to go to the press pool like every other outlet and ask questions they can, why do they need to come do special super duper photo shoots? A lot of other outlets have cameras. Grab one of them. Shocker. Vanity Fair, who hates Republicans, is going to screw over your interviews. More at 11. That's not breaking news. Don't step on rakes. Unforced error. You don't need to give access to Maggie Haberman of the New York Times. You need to give access to Jake Tapper. Or to Alex Thompson at Axios. You don't need to give special access to whomever over at Vanity Fair. You don't owe them anything. Reagan Reese, a good friend of ours over at the Daily Caller, did an interview with the President of the United States for 90 minutes, asked him hard questions, casually chatted with him and it was a really good interview. Also, Reagan didn't stab the President's administration in the back and take a bunch of things out of context. Crazy how that happens. I don't blame the President of the United States for suing the BBC for 10 billion when they cut certain things trying to make Trump say different nonsense, but when Vanity Fair just throws quotes out like mad libs. Well, what you see, we back in a second. We have far more on the news to get to. It's the Tony Kenneth cast. This is the Tony Kennett cast on 93 WIBC. So much news, so little time to get there. Senator Chuck Grassley, who I have said will not die until every secret of the bureaucratic nightmare of our government has been brought to light. Chuck Grassley, who has been given immortality by the one ring, continually comes out before the public and delivers just sledgehammer after sledgehammer. So in the middle of what I must say is not a terribly quiet news cycle, Senator Chuck Grassley approaches the dais and releases a brand new hot off the press report showing that the FBI told the Biden administration and Department of Justice, we do not believe that we have established probable cause for a search warrant of Mar A Lago, the president's residence after he was president the first time. Now the Department of Justice has suggested they do have probable cause and that Trump is a threat and we need to go in threat red level alpha ultra, super duper, SWAT through the windows like it's Christmas vacation and just, you know, bust in and I don't know, arrest and I don't know, shoot somebody's dog probably. But the scandal here is that the Merrick Garland administration and the Department of Justice said the FBI had recommended it. You may remember the little chicken necked Merrick Garland getting up in front of the country going, well, I think there was probable cause to raid Melania's underwear drawer. And after we all took a shower from hearing him say that we kind of believed. Well, sure, certainly, you know, Chris Wray's FBI would have confirmed they were ready to do a little bit of raiding. I mean, when has the US Government ever not wanted to raid a private property? Only in this case, according to data released and reports released By Chuck Grassley. May he ever stab the bureaucracy in the back. The FBI said, we don't have any real cause or threat to consider. We could just ask Trump for the documents. We could just show up with, like, a coffee and some donuts, and he'd probably let us in. It'd be like, look, it's the guys in black. Good to have you come in. Hope you brought some McDonald's. And it would have been fine. But no. Biden's administration said, you go in there and you do a big raid about it. Which, by the way, may I just say rather quickly, does bring a little bit of annoyance to yours truly. If Biden's administration can do the raids and the per walks and the big show of it all. Sorry, I'm just thinking of the. The classic meme where Chris Farley is in his van down by the river, get up, and he's yelling, for the love of God, arrest somebody. I mean, just drop the FBI in on Leticia James. What in the world are we doing with all this silly futs and yuts around? Go ahead and do. Producer Nick.
Producer Nick
I do remember during this period of time that this raid was juxtaposed with Biden's cooperation with revealing his mishandling of.
Tony Kennett
Presidential materials and soda. And that was, I guess, the point.
Producer Nick
Being made there was, well, if Trump had just, you know, cooperated, there would be no reason for a raid.
Tony Kennett
But it turns out that clearly weird in hiding something, the FBI did think that Trump would have been cooperative like Joe Biden. And so. And in order to gain maybe some political favor points and juxtap, as you said, juxtapose the two. Biden looks like the friendly worker with the law, and it looks like the FBI had to dig around in Melania's underwear drawer because, you know, I mean, of course. So that's just excellent stuff from Senator Chuck Grassley's office. Again, please continue doing what you were doing. I just love watching people be wrong. It's one of my favorite things. Uh, so that said, onto the next piece of news, Minnesota Governor Tim Walsh, who has now decided that it is the opportune moment to just start passing his own orders on gun control. If the Minnesota state legislature won't pass gun control, by God, Tim Walls is just gonna, I guess, usurp and do it himself. Here was Tim Walls today.
Governor Tim Walz
But this is a run out the clock. This is the oldest strategy in the world. Oh, I don't know. I don't know if we can define what an assault weapon ban. Assault weapon Is. I don't know. Do you really think limiting them to less than 100 bullets is going to do anything? Yes. Yes, it is. Yes, it is going to save lives.
Tony Kennett
I love that he makes the point that he knows what an assault weapon is and doesn't define what an assault weapon is, but implies that it's a gun with a hundred bullets.
Producer Nick
He's carried a weapon of war, remember?
Tony Kennett
It sounds like Keanu Reeves asking Morpheus in the Matrix. What are you going to say? That I can stop bullets? Just this kind of nonsense. Has no idea what he's talking about. No idea what he's doing.
Governor Tim Walz
Just like the extreme risk protection orders, which I can pull quotes from many of these folks who said, this will do nothing. This will not protect lives. This will take away our freedoms. It's time to start reporting that that is all bullshit. It does do something. It does make a difference. And to stand here and have to look in the eyes of parents who lost their little ones. Shame on them and shame on us if we don't get this done.
Tony Kennett
So his executive order that he has signed, his assuming super duper ultra executive order status, it doesn't do a ton, but it expands education on extreme risk protection orders like red flag laws and safe gun storage. And then it also directs the Department of commerce to collect data from insurance companies on the costs of gun violence. And then he issued another executive order. Hang on. Creating a statewide safety council. Because, you know, creating councils to spend money on is something that Tim Wallace has been traditionally great with in the past, whether you're talking about the individuals that he have appointed that would later go on to murder Minnesota representatives, or of course, the Somalia fraud situation with the goal of preventing mass violence, targeted attacks, and domestic terrorism. Oh, guys, we just needed a committee. Fine, we're saved a committee. Oh, that's the squeaky wheel that needed the grease. Thank you, Governor Tampon.
Producer Nick
We've now moved on to gun control works and prevents gun violence to a surveillance state. An increased surveillance state will prevent gun violence.
Tony Kennett
You know, I mean, I guess if anybody's got any civil war era Gatling guns out, then they're in. They're in deep trouble. The committee of HOA moms and Somali fraudsters is out to get them. Excellent. All right, with this one minute that we do have left in the radio clock before we head over to the bonus Tonus section of the show, where, by the way, there's still far too much news to get through. The president's administration has now called on Governor Tim Walz. To resign. Most notably of these, like several secretaries, like Linda McMahon, even reached out and was like, I'll get you from the top rope, resign. That's why I'm assuming I'm paraphrasing what she said. Of course, she probably didn't say that.
Producer Nick
If Tim beats her in a wrestling match, he gets to stay.
Tony Kennett
Yeah, yeah. But I will say Secretary Brooke Rollins pointed out, you still have not given us the data on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. Dr. Oz pointed out, hey, we still have questions on how you've spent Medicare and Medicaid dollars and the Obamacare subsidies. Where's the data? And he's not giving it up. Amid, again, the 8 to 10 billion dollars in fraud perpetuated by the Somali community in and around Minneapolis and St. Paul, and most importantly, ignored and downright quashed, at least whistleblowing about it by Governor Wall's administration. That and of course, you know, his own state employees are calling on him to resign. It's an absolute disaster. Radio Crew, apropos, unfortunately, Radio Crew, our time is up on the FCC clock this evening. We are going to continue over on the live stream. Lots of news. Don't have time for a huge fancy outro. This is the Tony Knit cast here on the daily sales Signal. All right, ladies, gentlemen, that one guy in the comments named Kevin. Let us continue. The Minneapolis police chief has now come out and shown that it's not only the Rhode Island Providence Police Department Police Chief Lopez that can come out and say stupid things for no reason. He wants in on this action as well. And he's going to do so by reminding you that ICE would have arrested Mary, Joseph and Jesus or something.
Brian O'Hara
Good morning. Thank you, Mayor.
Tony Kennett
My name is Brian o', Hara, not Paul Blart. Quit calling him Paul Blart. Stop it. You leave that man in his various roles alone.
Producer Nick
Me and fifth grade show and tell.
Tony Kennett
I hear you. But anyway, we'll let him continue.
Brian O'Hara
Good morning. Thank you, Mayor. My name is Brian o' Hara and I am the Minneapolis police chief. First off, thank you, Pastor Sergio for inviting us back into this sacred space here. We know this has been a very, very difficult time.
Tony Kennett
I'm sorry. I'm going to be that guy. I'm sorry. I'm the Baptist, Protestant, independent, fundamental, Bible thumping neighborhood kind of a guy. I'm going to point out that if your church has like the full, like with the, you know, the screens and the, the drum set in the background, that kind of a modern ship revival, it is not some super duper special sacred space it's just not. I'm sorry. As the Protestants would say, the church is the body of the believers itself. Those on the more Catholic or Orthodoxy side of the aisle would say the church is that which he has instituted down through the ages and still the body of believers in the bride of Christ. I'm sorry, your, your PowerPoint presentation, country club is, is not the most sacred of spaces. All right. You're not speaking to the Church of the Resurrection here, champ. You're giving an address at the local non denominational second methodistical gubernatorial extra 1 1/2 group meeting of the minds church.
Producer Nick
Even within Catholic churches, the whole church is not considered a sacred space that shall not be tread upon. That is specifically a specific part of the church that people are not supposed to approach.
Tony Kennett
That's very true. We'll let him continue because he is going to get to the point.
Brian O'Hara
Maybe for our communities here in the city, the fear that people are experiencing is real. As our mayor has said, it's been sad to drive down Lake street and to see so many of our businesses either closed or.
Tony Kennett
Why would they be closed? If you own a business, if you're paying rent again, I will remind you that for illegal immigrants to pay a rental is illegal because you are here illegally. You're not allowed to participate in financial transactions in the United States if you're not supposed to be here. People forget that. Maybe crossing the border, stepping two foot over, maybe. Again, as we've said before, if you are in the United States, you're not a citizen. You don't have a visa to be here. You're just stopping at Newark on your flight from London to Rio and you step outside of Newark. Somehow magically a hole appears in the wall. You step outside, maybe you go through one of the magical secret older passages of one of Brown University's many non camera doors. You step outside, you're in the United States. You go, oh, whoops. You go up to a cop and say, hey, I'm not supposed to be here. I don't know how I got here. I'm so sorry. That's a civil infraction. But if you stay in the United States and you participate in the economic system and the civic system, you are violating the law and evading Immigration Customs Enforcement. So if there are buildings and businesses which are closed, again I ask why? Why are the businesses closed? I can tell you why they are. While there are some restaurants that are closed because they participated in the fraud scheme of collecting money not to feed children, but to fund the Al Shabaab terror network in Somalia.
Brian O'Hara
Empty. It's hard to see the impact that this is having on everyone in our community. It's especially personal to me, having been raised a Catholic, to be in a Christian church this morning as we are approaching Christmas. And I cannot help but think of what is happening in our city today and how that echoes with how outsiders have been treated for thousands of years, how Mary and Joseph themselves were considered outsiders and forced to stay in a barn.
Tony Kennett
Ok, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Stop saying the very dumbest things. Stop it. Stop saying the very dumbest things. Now, in the middle, in the, in the midtime there, I'm receiving some conflicting messages. By the way, producer Nick, if you could look into this for me here, that Brown University did release a statement and now hasn't released a statement. There's some conflicting stuff there. Could you find out if they did in fact release the statement over in your investigations? We're going to go back to the good Book and we're going to take just a very, very quick hustle. Look at this. So as a quick reminder to all of y', all, When Mary and Joseph were getting ready to have our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, when Mary was pregnant with him, as we'll go to Luke, chapter two. And it came to pass in those days that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world, that means the all of the lands in the Roman Empire should be taxed. This taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria. And all went to be taxed, everyone into his own city. His own city means all of the residents. In fact, the coin, a word there for all literally means residents. Legal residents of the Roman Empire went to their own cities in which their family name was registered to be taxed. And Joseph also went up from Galilee out of the city of Nazareth into Judea unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem because he was of the house and lineage of David to be taxed with Mary, his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was that while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought her fourth, her firstborn son, wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger because there was no room for them in the end. Okay, guys, if you show up to a Holiday Inn, I'm not talking about the cool being Crosby kind. I'm talking about the, like, corporate chain Holiday Inn. Show up to a convention town in the middle eight, whatever big event and you show up to the hotel and they say, dude, we don't have any room. All of the rooms are booked. You're not an outsider hunted down by the government, you fool. You thing. I call Tim Walls when driving by his house. You are just near a place that there's no room. I. I know that you guys may not necessarily believe this. Bethlehem did not have, like, a raging hotel business because it was a tourist town. Again. There was a major taxing and CEN decree that was brought down. So all of the people who might be in Bethlehem were there at the same freaking time. If you brought the entire population of Indiana into Indianapolis, the hotels couldn't handle it. Jeeves, I swear, I'm the stupid. And he says it so confidently. Oh, this is just like ice. They're outsiders in this area. They're illegal immigrants.
Brian O'Hara
That's what we're getting ready to commemorate as Christians around the world while all of this fear is happening right here in our town. So my goal and our goal as the Minneapolis police is to try and do what we can to reduce fear, to reduce anxiety.
Tony Kennett
So they're not working with federal law enforcement, because instead of taking those who are in Minneapolis police custody and Minnesota State penitentiary custody and saying, okay, hey, look, these guys are illegal immigrants. They've committed these violent crimes. We are turning them over to the federal government, which is something many states have done. Federal government shows up to that prison, takes those who are illegal immigrants and leaves. Instead, they're saying, we're not talking to anyone. And also, give me more Somalian beans. And then the feds come in and say, fine, we'll get them ourselves. And anyone that's in the room with them who we think might be participating in violating federal law, we will take with us. And if they find someone who is an illegal immigrant, you're not supposed to be here. You're also getting deported. That's how it works. Boys, girls, and squirrels. You don't need a fancy Palestinian LGBTQ + degree or to be the police chief of Minneapolis in order to come to such conclusions. I'm astounded. I'm just astounded every single day that we see this. All right, we're going to cut away briefly. We have a great interview with Stephen Kent. There's also a commercial for Animal Farms is finally being made into a movie. Great George Orwell classic. We're going to talk about that, so don't go anywhere. Lots of great stuff tonight on the Tony Kenned cast here on the Daily Signal. Nationally syndicated, first on 93 WIBC. The Tony Kenneth cast on 93 WIBC. Welcome back to the Tony Kennett cast, where we've got Steven Kent, our friend from Geeky Stoics, here for a little whatcha watchin'. And there are quite a few things to watch right now this holiday season, including, my dear Steven, the incredible new Animal Farm commercial. Cockatood. Hi, Lucky.
Rob Bluey
What's up?
Tony Kennett
We are going on vacation. I do hope it's somewhere good. What does that say? Laughter House. That sounds awesome. I love to laugh. It's a slaughterhouse. Look at all this deliciousness. They want this. Do you want to be food or do you want freedom? Let's fight for it. We're free. Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy. Four legs good, two legs bad. No animal shall wear clothes.
Producer Nick
Huh? What?
Tony Kennett
We're shell pigs and all animals are equal. Animals running a farm.
Rob Bluey
I had to see it for myself.
Tony Kennett
Thank you. Aww, so cute.
Activate Cute eyes.
I'd rather gouge them out.
Christina Paxson
I want that farm.
Tony Kennett
We should move into the farmhouse so the humans know we're in charge. You are about to become my new best friend. Pig and humans working together. I like the optics. Oh, we love the optics. What are optics? I think it's a kind of seafood. You're wearing clothes. Would you look at that? I am.
Christina Paxson
Everything's different.
Tony Kennett
But you're still friends. All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others. Others. This is our home.
Unidentified Commentator
Scre.
Tony Kennett
I parked the car. Let's have no one do that again. It's getting a little bit of criticism from some over on the right because they say, well, it looks like it's not real. Really. A tale of the dangers of communism like George Orwell's Animal Farm was trying. This is according to the people on the right was trying to portray. Now it looks like capitalism corrupts Napoleon the pig and ruins everything and sends them into fascist hell and whatever. What's your take on this? Very creative Hollywood. Seth Rogen is the pig style film. Yeah.
So this is. This is done by Andy Serkis. So he wrote this. This is, you know, the guy who voices Gollum and plays Gollum in Lord.
You don't have any friends, Nobody likes you. Not listening.
Yeah. He also did a wonderful Screwtape Letters adaptation for the BBC on YouTube. It's fantastic. And this is his take on Animal Farm. Now there has been, like you said, a right wing backlash against this trailer. And Tony, I'm not convinced that there's anything to be angry or upset about. I think conservatives have a tendency to want a sermon. When it comes to their pop culture and their entertainment, they want to hear the right words and they want to hear it in monologue fashion. Like, you know, we listen to talk radio like people are doing right now. But movies aren't like that. And neither was Animal Farm by George Orwell. There's quite a bit of reading into Animal Farm that you have to do to get that story right. And this movie is showing me in its trailer a revolution by the working underclass, you know, the pigs and the rest of the animals against an over class, which in this case is the farmers, the human beings. And in Animal Farm you are talking about the wealthy oligarchs and the capitalist class. But the thing about Animal Farm is that revolution is easy. Resentment of the overclass is easy, and so the animals go along with it like sheep. But then what comes next is hard actually putting together this egalitarian civilization that Marx promised them. It doesn't actually work. It's a fiction. I saw all of that in the trailer. So I've been a little bit unconvinced about the controversy here.
So the reason that I would, I'd throw up a little hesitation is as you remember, in the original, in Animal Farm, the book book, there was no outside majestic group of, of people coming in and essentially propping up Animal Farm as its own commercial entity. And that's clearly what occurs that immediately, as soon as the like the quote unquote revolution takes over, then it's, you know, the chickens taking the dollar bill from the girl's hand. And then there is this, Everything is fine under this new system they have thrown off of the oppression and they paint this, they say everything appears to be fine until corporate lady with the Tesla cyber trucks comes in and corrupts Napoleon. And then it's not really a tale of, you know, whenever you overthrow something French Revolution style, which is what Animal Farm is about, and then the tyranny that follows, whether it's fascist tyranny, communist tyranny, it's state run, state economic, state religious tyranny, that, that's a very evil thing to burn down the house in order to build a new one or to fix what's wrong in the house. And in this, it's like corporate people can corrupt socialists.
And so I, I think kind of gay is wrong. I think this is wrong. It's kind of gay. I think this is wrong though. So in Animal Farm there are numerous human farmers that attempt to go to Napoleon's sort of farm community. Over the course of the book there's, there's farmer Pilkington, there's Mr. Frederick, there's farmer Whymper, and you know, Farmer Frederick, he represents in the book the fascist power of German and sort of this outside threat to, of course, the Soviet Union and this grand analogy. But there's also Mr. Pilkington and Whymper and they represent Western powers who are willing to work with the communist utopia of Animal Farm as long because they're.
Afraid that it's going to spread to their farms. That's the idea of Pilkington.
Yeah, in a sense, they want to like keep them kind of boxed in, but they do business. And that's the thing about the United states of the 20th century. We did a lot of business with the Soviet Union and Stalin. In fact, we did a war with him. And there was a lot, there was a lot that we did that I don't think you can look at in a principled way and say that like capitalism and the capitalist forces of the west always did the virtuous thing. They did the thing that worked for them. Animal Farm is not a story about the virtues of capitalism. It's about the hypocrisy and impossibility of communism. So I think it's wrong to assume that there are going to be angelic capitalist characters in an adaptation. It's going to be about how Marxists sell you a false bill of goods and they're happy to live the capitalist lifestyle once they get power.
So here's the. In a, in a beautiful and wonderful world, I believe that would be what you're suggesting is what gets played. But this is Hollywood that we're working with. And you and I know how, you know, how uncouth it is over in the Hollywood side of things, how reprehensible it is to do something like this and then suggest that all of these young left wing animators who you and I both know are sitting at the tablet drawing up some of the vectors for these animations. I mean, come on now, you know it's going to have this again. The, the ultra villain they've already painted is the woman driving the Tesla Cyber truck. The evil billionaire who corrupts Napoleon because he, in the, again in the commercial, he's like reading all of their rights and yeah, there's a little us versus them, but I mean, you just said, and all animals are equal. And then what happens after all animals are equal. Then comes Elon Musk the billionaire and says, oh, you should drive a Ferrari. And it's the idea that he was pure until he was corrupted. No, I mean, again, we saw this in Animal Farm Napoleon from the beginning. The corrupt entity does come from the inside. The people who are currently trying to burn down the United States, like the Turtle Island Liberation Front that just got caught. None of them are like, well, we just need to return it all to the Native American Abe Kwikwe Turtle Island World, and we'll all be happy. No, they're willing to kill and murder and bomb all to the benefit of themselves. Like the BLM leaders in their mansions, for example. Yeah.
And you know, with. With Animal Farm, again, one of the things here that all these different animals represent different people from history and different ideas. And one of the originators of the revolution in Animal Farm is the pig Old Major, and he is Lenin and Karl Marx. So the ideological argument for overthrowing the humans and getting rid of humans at the farm and running it themselves, he.
Who has avoided the slaughterhouse time and time again.
And Old Major dies at the very beginning of the story. I mean, basically you're looking again right at the Russian Revolution and then the rise of Stalin. In Orwell's story, he is sort of making this soft case that there was nothing inherently wrong with Karl Marx. It was Stalinism that fused with that ideology into a totalitarian state that was evil, corrupt, wicked. And the same thing happens here with these pigs. They pick up the banner of Old Major after he dies, and his vision is never truly realized. And there's a lot of people communists will blame, of course, capitalists for doing this. And we blame communism at its heart for causing it to be a failure.
Right. They'll say the reason that Venezuelan socialism failed is because the United States issued its blockade. Not because socialism sucks.
We're smothering it in the crib. But that's why I'm just generally hesitant to kind of like clutch my pearls about this. Excited to see this movie and see if it sucks. It is by Angel Studios. I do trust those people, by and large. They're on Twitter today kind of blasting this controversy by posting their clips of Karl Marx cartoons from the Tuttle Twins and. And mocking Karl Marx on their Twitter account.

Yoohoo.

It's me, Karl Marx, and I just need to say do not watch Tuttle Twins. It's a cartoon that teaches kids terrible things like free markets and critical thinking and how communism murdered tens of millions of people. That's not true. He smartered a lot more than that. Anyway, think of the children. And do not download the angel app to watch the Touch of Twins for free. And do not subscribe to get access to all episodes with stupid guest stars like Mike Rowe and Dr. Ben Carson with dumb lessons like the danger of inflation, CBDCs and public school. And if you need more convincing, here is my TikTok dance. Here we go. It's time to stop. It's time to stop. Okay.
No more just to kind of remind people it's like, hey, it's Angel Studios. Give us like a little benefit of the doubt here.
I'll give them some benefit of the doubt, I will. But the benefit of the doubt for me kind of ends when it's like I've seen this before. And so I, I'm not in the the pearl clutching camp of oh, this is the worst thing ever is awful. But just I've seen this promise before. They're going to tell us the tale of why this was bad and then it's an entire American revolutionary documentary that's like George Washington's closeted homosexuality is what drove. Then you're like, what the hell is this? So, I mean, yeah, I guess the proof will be in that animal pudding.
Absolutely. I think, I think we can leave that one there. But I'm eager to see see where this one goes.
All right, Stephen Kennedy, a little whatcha watching? Geeky stoics. Excellent work he's got over there. And then, although not relevant to this, the, the excellent takes of his also over at the Consumer Choice center that you should check out there as well. Stephen, thanks as always.
Thanks, Tony.
All right, a little bit of bonus tonus here. So I do believe right now that the source of the statement from Brown University was sent to Leah Crowley, the digital reporter and content producer for WPRI 12. That's the CBS affiliate in Providence, Rhode Island. Nothing else on their website or their social media of this statement in which they vaguely refer to Move Stafa just again, really weird situation. So holding our breath on there still very strange stuff in this particular story. I will reiterate again, see something, say something. Something is fine. You should absolutely call in tips when you see something that is suspicious. 100. You should. Now moving along, there is one last thing that I wanted to mention before we get done with today because we're not really going to get to talk about it any other time. There have been three more narco terrorist boats that have been blown up and have gone sky high. Which by the way, but given the beautiful explosion patterns, those things were carrying a lot of spare fuel which if you're going fishing and you're bringing like 30 gasoline drums with you. I mean, that's a curious bait choice, one might say. But anywho, the important part of the story is that Democrat Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia, he got really, really upset about it because he despises the idea that there are narco terrorists who are getting exploded and. Well, Tim Kane, I'd like to share with you my concerns about the individuals who've been killed, but I can't. For the same reason, I'd like to share with you my concerns about the second strike that killed struggling survivors clinging to shipwreck on September 2nd. But I can't fully explain why this is so outrageous because most of what I know, I know from a classified setting. Unlike Senator Schumer, I've not seen the video yet. Hang on, hang on. Now, you can't claim to be both the insider and the outsider. I'm, I'm, I'm sorry, You, you, you, you, you can't do that one there, Chief. You can't claim, say, well, I haven't seen it or anything, but I have a lot of classified information that I can't tell you why it's bad. Well, then claim that yeah, they, they killed innocent people. If they didn't kill innocent people, then, then again, given the powers given to the President of the United States. What on earth are you yelling about? And again, for those who are out there saying that interdicting and stopping the boats and having, you know, Marines or the Coast Guard roll up and halt them, well, that is in fact how two US Marines were killed in the last year in the Red Sea. I don't know, firing a missile at who the intelligence community has a high confidence level of saying are running drugs bugs from the southern Caribbean, the northern coast of Venezuela is something that Americans continue to be very, very in favor of. There's an excellent clip from Senator Sheehy about this, but we'll have to get into that a little bit later because, alas, we have reached that time of the evening again. We will be back tomorrow. Fantastic to have you guys join us this evening. If you see something, say something. It's the Tony Kinnid cast here on the Daily Signal, nationally syndicated and first on 93 WIBC. Take care.

This episode dives into the fallout from a violent shooting at Brown University, sharply criticizing the university and law enforcement response, focusing especially on the suspicious online scrubbing of information related to a high-profile Palestinian and LGBTQ+ activist student. The show then pivots to national political updates, including new developments in transgender legislation, executive orders, critiques of law enforcement responses, new media controversies, and a review of the upcoming Animal Farm movie adaptation.
