Tony Kennett, host of the Tony Kennett cast. Let's get down to business. You're listening to the Tony Kennett cast on 93 WIBC on CYTV, here on the Daily Signal. Good evening and welcome to the Tony Kennett cast here on the Daily Signal, nationally syndicated and first on 90 BC. Whether you're joining us from inside the United States or from abroad this evening, you should be aware of an alert from the virtual embassy in Iran. This would be where the message was posted. It also went out as a State Department alert. First and foremost, if you are in Iran or any of the surrounding areas, quote, protests across Iran are escalating and may turn violent. It is early in the a.m. over there, resulting in arrests and injuries, increased security measures, road closures, public transportation disruptions and Internet blockages are ongoing. The country's Internet has been out for days, Days. It is so unusual for a country's Internet, entire Internet infrastructure to be down for over 110, 111 hours. At this point, the government of Iran has restricted access to mobile, landline and national Internet networks. Airlines continue to limit or cancel flights to and from Iran, with several suspending service until at least Friday, January 16th. US citizens should expect continued Internet outages, plan alternative means of communication and if safe to do so, consider departing Iran by land to Armenia or Turkey. And then right in the top sentence there in bold red highlight, leave Iran now. So in case you are tuning in via Starlink, and there are those that are able to tune in via Starlink onto the Internet, probably not tuning into the Tony Kenned cast, but in case you are, please leave immediately. Also, regarding the people of Iran, even though Khomeini has at this point ordered his Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps to kill what estimates are expected, between 800 and 1500 protesters, they are still out in the streets. I have never seen numbers like this before. The Arab Spring did not even have the radical Muslim factions in the street like this. So I do believe, as I said at the end of last week, that revolution is in fact coming to Iran. Now, over here at home, there are individuals that are deciding to take information like this and be incredibly stupid. And of course, I'm talking about the chair of the Democrat National Convention, the dnc, excuse me, the Democratic National Committee, Ken Martin. And you say who is Ken Martin? It sounds like a very bland name. Very bland guy. And he is so. Ken Martin is the former head of the Democrat Farmer Labor Union Party of Minnesota. And he, then from Minnesota, ascended to being all things beta. Males from the Democrat Party achieved a beat. A very basic white dude in a position that is likely told what to do. So Ken Martin, he's. He's got the beat on Iran. Guys, I tell you what, if you wanted some random dude from Minnesota to give you his take in Iran, here you go. Quote, if comparing the United States to Iran makes you angry, ask why. Killing protesters, crushing dissent, kidnapping and disappearing legal citizens, ignoring courts, threatening critics, terrorizing communities. That's authoritarian behavior anywhere. If you're rushing to defend it, maybe the problem isn't the comparison. Trump keeps pushing it, and then Americans aren't buying it in Minneapolis won't be silent. That is one of the dumbest things I believe I have ever seen in my entire life. Ken Martin, if you are honestly going to. If you really believe that Iran and the United States, oh, they're both like dictatorships. That's what the Democrats are pushing on all the way from Tim Kaine to Ilhan Omar to Chuck Schumer this morning. If you really believe that, you need to go touch some grass, eat a steak, take a deep breath. Killing protesters, no. Crushing dissent, no note. Notably, you'll see that Ken Martin is dissenting. If you post on public social media in Iran that you hate Khomeini, he will try to kill you. Kidnapping and disappearing legal citizens, that has not happened one single time. Not one citizen of the United States has been disappeared. Nope. Also, I do appreciate how whenever it comes to whining about the Trump administration, all of a sudden Democrats find what the word citizen means. Normally, they don't use that word. Ignoring courts hasn't happened. I cannot think of a single federal court that the Trump administration has just flat out ignored. That would be the lead story on every single website on earth. He hasn't. And I'm one of the people who wishes that he would ignore some of these courts. We're going to get to that here in a minute. Threatening critics, terrorizing communities. Oh, no. All right, so stupidity over from Jacob Fry. Or not Jacob Fry. Excuse me, Ken Martin. Oh, brother. This guy stuck. So let's get into the actual news out of Minnesota today. Of course, I'm talking about the most important thing that we could possibly fathom out of Minnesota. Tim Walls visiting the site where Renee Good took her wife's advice of drive, baby, drive. And then whether through, you know, vehicular, attempted vehicular manslaughter or attempted murder. Well, fafo, here's. Here's Tim Walls doing a little photo op today. Crime scene investigation where Renee Good was shot. This was moments ago, we believe. We saw Governor Wallace's wife with him as well, with her arm wrapped around a gentleman at one point. So Governor Tim Wallace and his wife making an official visit to the shooting location of Renee Goode here. Photo op stuff. Photo op stuff. And he also tweeted out a photo of him there, said, rest in peace. Ah, it seems like just yesterday Renee was violating federal law and abandoning her children. So onto the actual, actual news out of Minnesota today. Attorney General Keith Ellison has announced that he bravely leading the charge because he, not Amy Klobuchar, he wants to be governor, not that whole, you know, staff beating senator from Minnesota. He wants to be the next governor. So he has announced that Minnesota is suing the Department of Homeland Security. And I've read some of the court documents here. I have no idea what they are actually suggesting. What. What law that the federal government of the United States is violating by sending ICE into Minnesota. Here's Attorney General Keith Ellison against the.
D
United States Department of Homeland Security to end the unlawful, unprecedented surge of the federal law enforcement agents into Minnesota.
A
Okay, so he says unlawful and then unprecedented. I'm going to let you guys in on a little secret. Right right here in the beginning, whether or not something is precedented means absolutely nothing. I know. Shocker to me, too. A lot of different things are unprecedented in your personal life. When you got married for the first time, that was unprecedented. You'd never been married before. Unprecedented. Incredible. You know What? The year 2026. Unprecedented. We'd never been in 2026 before. That has nothing to do with anything. That's unprecedented. You ate at a Red Lobster for the first time, man. I mean, congratulations. So sorry. He says unlawful. In the lawsuit. It has never specified what laws Keith Ellison believes ICE is violating by upholding federal law regarding immigration and customs. Hence immigration Customs enforcement. Kind of cool. Yeah. In Minnesota.
D
Because this has to stop. It just has to stop. We allege that the obvious targeting of Minnesota.
A
Ah, here is going to be things. First of all, this has to stop. Powerful legal argument. What has to stop? Well, he's going to say the entire allegation revolves around. He's targeting Minnesota as though the president of the United States has chosen to single Minnesota out. He's going after Minnesotans. Well, why would he go after Minnesota? Are there maybe a couple of policies that your state has passed via executive order or its legislature maybe that provide a sanctuary to those violating federal law.
D
For our diversity, for our democracy and our differences of opinion with the federal government is a violation of the Constitution and of federal law.
A
Okay. No, no. Oh, weird. Our. Our. Our differences of opinion on enforcing federal law. They came in and they enforced it anyway. Gosh, those. You know, those stinking union troops that came down here and were like, hey, let us stay in Fort Sumter. And we were like, no, y' all get back to the North. Amazing. They. They didn't just go back to the north. Wow. Shock and horror and awe.
D
We alleged that the surge. Reckless impact on our schools, on our local law enforcement, is, to be fair.
A
You close your schools and then your people threw snowballs and rocks at your own police department. I mean, they expected another little George Floyd hullabaloo. Now, admittedly, it's a little colder outside, so those rocks and snowballs sting a little bit more than in the beautiful summer weather of Minneapolis.
D
But a violation of the 10th Amendment and the sovereign laws and powers of the Constitution grants to states we allege.
A
Okay. The 10th amendment of the United States simply establishes federalism. Says that any powers not explicitly given to the federal government in federal law, in the Constitution are therefore supposed to be to the states and the people. Meaning that Minnesota is saying, well, hey, we didn't give you permission to come in here, so you can't come in here. That's not what that means. The federal law is that you cannot enter the United States and then evade ICE, evade border control, evade the U.S. customs agencies. You can't avoid law enforcement while you're here, and then participate illegally in its economy, its society, et cetera. Radio crew are going to send you guys to the commercial and continue on the live stream without any commercial. It's the Tony Kinnit cast here on the Daily Signal. All right, well, we'll. We'll go ahead and end his. He just whines for a little while. But there is one thing I Do want to point your attention to. He does make a case against ICE itself that I don't really think holds water, but I'll let you be the judge.
D
And I wish I could stop there, but I can't because these poorly trained, aggressive and armed agents of the, of the federal state have terrorized Minnesota with widespread unlawful conduct.
A
Okay, he says that these armed. He's describing the law enforcement. They're armed. These law enforcement officers are armed. Well, first of all, in common sense, yes, police officers should be armed. That makes sense. You're showing up to arrest somebody who has violated the law. Makes sense. They may not just want to just go peacefully with you, especially if they know you're not armed. And then he's saying it's unlawful. You know, you're not allowed to resist arrest. That's not a thing that you're allowed to do. Like, if an officer says, hey, make no sudden movements, and you start doing the wacky waving, inflatable arm flailing, tube man movement, that's disobeying a direct order in the process of detainment by federal law enforcement.
D
They're acting, they're act, they're making unconstitutional arrests and using excessive force. DHS agents have barged into restaurants asking to access secure areas. And when asked to present a warrant, which is required by law, it is not for federal law, they respond, we don't need one.
A
Correct. If you're violating federal law, you do not need a super duper alley ooper rootin tootin fresh and fruity, you know, warrant from a local individual. You don't need one because you're upholding federal law. This isn't difficult. By the way, there's this really cool thing called precedent. Legal precedence different than something being unprecedented. Legal precedent means that there are certain cases that have gone in very specific ways before that outline what you can and cannot do based on essentially tradition. What we have seen done here before, the previous interpretations of the law, and we have seen this play out consistently. Now, I do, and I do want to point out that today we do have individuals that are still violating the law. And the media is losing their mind. You know, officials all over the country are losing their mind because despite videos showing people violating federal law, obstructing an arrest, assault, battery, et cetera, still the media is going to pretend that you can't watch video and see people clearly violating the law. Case in point, an individual standing in front of an ICE vehicle trying to prevent it to leave and then getting shown where his hindquarters can sit so you'll see an individual standing there in his boots, his jeans, his sweater, and just kind of chilling in front of an ice vehicle, preventing it from leaving. He's standing there in front of the vehicle, phone out, keeping the vehicle from leaving. Now what does that mean? That means that police officers, first of all could arrest you if they wanted to. That's obstructing. But in this case, the officer decides a temporary relocation may be more beneficial and more, let's say, cost effective. Boom. Now the crowd immediately starts losing it. You have all of the. The wizard going, oh, no, what the f. I've never seen anything like this before. Clearly you've never seen Philadelphia after an Eagles game. Uh, but in. Anyway, in this case, the media individuals over on the left have taken clips like these and said they're just pushing over, violently assaulting citizens, innocent children. How could they do this? And people in the comments, even those on the left are pointing out they're clearly like breaking the law right there, right in front of us. It's really, really obvious. Now, moving on from there, this brings us to the Illinois lawsuit. The Illinois lawsuit. So the Attorney General of Illinois, Kwame Raul, got in front of the state today right after the announcement from Minnesota about an hour and a half ago and made this announcement.
E
Tear gas, chemical weapons, rubber bullets, masked men carrying.
A
I do like this.
E
Semi automatic rifles and instruments of war.
A
Instruments of war. I like that. I like the style of just listing things. Men, guns.
F
Fire breathing, dragons.
A
I mean, come on, it's just, it's just right out there. Men, guns, meanness. Blue 42, Omaha. I mean, okay, we'll let them go here a little bit though.
E
Tear gas, chemical weapons, rubber bullets, masked men carrying semi automatic rifles and instruments of war.
A
It's like someone's just saying, hey, look, scary nouns. I find that enjoyable.
E
As they intimidate, harass and assault. These hallmarks of a war zone seen on movie screens have no place in an American city.
A
I like that he says this. I do. He says that these hallmarks of a real place of war. These hallmarks of war. I'm going to let you in on a little secret. When he then says that you see in the movies, that's because real war zones are not just men, guns, water, air. Long ago, the Fire nation attacked. Stop this nonsense. Why are you describing your own inexperience with what a war zone actually looks like? War zones are not the Hollywood depiction of war zones, you fool. But we got to bring the radio crew back from commercial. I want to get into his speech, just a little bit. It's worth it. It's the Tony Kinnit cast here on the Daily Signal. Don't go anywhere. You're listening to the Tony Kennett cast on 93 WIPC.
E
Tear gas, chemical weapons, rubber bullets, masked men carrying semi automatic rifles.
A
So the Attorney General of Illinois, he comes out and announces that he is tired of this, that there's weapons of war, Hollywood, the movies, how could they be doing this? So he's going to come out and announce that first of all, gun control, which is incredible, semiautomatic rifles have no place in the United States. And then he says he then flips it around to a daycare center. Illinois trying to sue the United States and the Department of Homeland Security, much.
E
Less at a daycare center. Courthouses in our neighborhoods or outside our children's schools.
A
Now I want to let you in on a little secret. There are in fact men with guns around courthouses and believe it or not, Illinois specifically, and one of the reasons is because this really cool thing called the mob in which if you didn't put guys with guns there, people might end up shooting the judge, the jury kind of happened during mob rule. Interesting stuff, cool facts that you might learn, you know, or maybe know if you're the Attorney General of Illinois.
E
When I took my oath to serve as the Illinois Attorney General, I swore to uphold and defend the United States and Illinois Constitutions. I could never have envisioned standing here today defending the rule of law and our state sovereignty against attacks by the United States government.
A
So I love it when people say these kinds of things. You're gonna hear Senator Mark Kelly say this. I never imagined when taking my oath to defend the United States Constitution against enemies foreign and domestic that I might have to defend it against enemies both foreign and domestic. This is what you. I mean theoretically this would be what you signed up for. But not reading the very oath that you took and then coming out and showing us that you didn't read us federal law either. That's kind of apropos.
E
But I will not hesitate or shy away from protecting our state, even from our own federal government. Because since September the state of Illinois has faced an incursion of.
A
Not what an incursion is.
E
Uniformed military trained personnel.
A
I thought training was good. Not bad.
E
Airing semi automatic firearms and military grade weaponry.
A
What does military grade weaponry mean? What does that mean? Military grade? What? What is that? Military grade stuff usually sucks. Ask guys that are fresh out of boot or AIT why it is that they normally go buy their own pair of boots of a different brand. I. Military gra. What does that mean? What are you talking about? What are they supposed to look like? A New York police officer from, like, 1992 with the really wide parade cap and, like, the metals on the front of their uniform? And it's a leather jacket. It's not home alone at the beginning, my dude.
E
These Border Patrol agents and ICE officers have acted as occupiers rather than officers of the law as they have rampaged through the Chicago area.
A
So he does the same thing that Attorney General Keith Ellison has. I have no more patience for this individual or him. Taking forever to get around to the point that he's just mad. They are mad that ice, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, are enforcing Immigration and Customs. And they're saying, well, they're doing a bunch of other stuff, too. And you say, well, like what? They said, well, they're arresting people. Yes. Okay. Um. If you show up to a site in which the United States treasury is doing some kind of a fraud investigation, let's say, and there are men there wearing jackets that say US treasury on the back of their jacket, and. And they, by the way, often do, in fact, carry sidearms. Because it turns out treasury agents, just like every other kind of agent in the federal government, does need protection from people who don't want to come away quietly. If you go up and you tackle Scott Besant, one of the treasury agents is going to acquaint you with the anatomy of Swiss cheese, and you will have deserved it. You say, well, where in the Constitution is it written the Treasury Department can carry guns? If you really, really need, you. You really need that to be explained. You really need to be explained why if you interfere with ice, you might be arrested by ice. You really. You really need that set down and explained to you, buddy. You shouldn't be voting in the first place. But this is their. This is their best plan, I guess. They're gonna. They're gonna sue the Trump administration. That's exciting. Now, these are the only two states so far which have sued the Trump administration. Uh, I'm expecting. I'm expecting that we might see something from somewhere like Oregon or Washington state, because Governor Kotech, you know, the one who looks like every other Rachel Maddow variation of. Of lady on the left. Um, she's said a lot of anti ICE stuff about how it's an invasion and all that. Also, the Portland police chief, when briefing the press about these two individuals that Immigration Customs Enforcement shot it. It brings him to tears to announce that, well, yeah, they were Venezuelan Trende, Aragua gang members. They're cartel members. And it brings this grown man to tears. I'm not sure if there's a way to measure the amount of estrogen in a room, but I can only assume that this man wakes up to the theme from Sex and the City. Here you go.
G
It's it.
A
No, he's not preparing to do jumping jacks. This is a man already crying into the mic. The. The police chief of Portland, Oregon.
G
It saddens me that we even have to qualify these remarks, because I understand, or at least have attempted to understand through your voices, your concern, your fear, your anger.
A
This man sounds like he's getting ready to announce they couldn't save Lassie down the well.
G
This information in no way is meant to disparage or to condone or support or agree with any of the actions that occurred yesterday. But it is important that we stay committed to the rule of law, that we stay committed to the facts, that we stay a trustworthy and legitimate police department for all of Portlanders.
A
Yeah. And then he goes on to say, yeah, these two dudes that were shot, Trend members, why. Why are you breaking down into tears to announce that? Don't we want the foreign cartel gang members, that human traffic and drug traffic and child traffic, wouldn't you want them to be arrested? And if they resist arresting, don't you want them to be captured by law enforcement? Thanks to the New York Post for providing that clip. Radio crew, we're gonna send you to the commercial. Continuing over on the live stream, it's the Tony Kinid cast here on the Daily now, believe it or not, the left, while simultaneously trying to go after this lawsuit angle, they are starting to figure out that they're not going to whitewash, as funny as that word is appropriate here, they're not going to whitewash the actual history and the work of Renee Goode. According to my colleague over at the Daily Signal, Tyler o', Neill, Renee Goode has quite the troubled past. She was part of not just activism groups. She was part of groups that have undertaken training to violate federal law, teaching ladies how to get in between an officer and the individual they are arresting, again on the pretense that they are violating federal law. So as for the. The idea that Renee Good was just like the sweet, kind, loving individual. No, I mean, she really has been, in fact, the agitator, the paid violator of the law that we had expected. Gee whiz. How about that? Now, to. To move on to this, though, the left kind of at Large is trying to make the statement that at least according to these lawsuits from Illinois and Minnesota, that Donald Trump and the Department of Homeland Security, Christine Omen, Secretary, are singling out blue states. They're singling out Minnesota, they're singling out California, they're singling out Illinois. One as one account put it, I think the fact that Trump and ICE are focusing their attentions on non compliant blue states like Minnesota shows they aren't actually serious about deportations. They want the violence instead. Why would that bring violence? Why would sending federal law enforcement in bring violence? Unless you're admitting that blue states and blue cities within blue states where there are sanctuary policies set in place are inherently more violent when you try to enforce the law. I used to hear this from teachers and, for example, Indianapolis Public Schools. Well, I can't say that he'll get violent. You can't say that you have a policy on no sexual harassment in your classroom. This student you've told me about is groping girls. You can't say anything because you might get violent. What's wrong with you? The idea is bad enough, but it gets worse. So they then say you could deport way more people without all the fuss in like Texas or Florida. Jacob Frey, the mayor of Minneapolis, made this exact case today. And it says something that I don't think he intended, but we'll, we'll let him, we'll let him say it, though. There are countless more people that are undocumented in Florida and Texas and Utah. Why are they in these much smaller cities in the middle of the Midwest? Ah, so this is the question Democrats are going to try to ask. Hey, I can't help but notice that the feds aren't doing big raids in Florida or, or in Texas or in Utah. Well, actually, from Governor DeSantis, on January 5th, in April 2025, Florida partnered with federal law enforcement in the largest joint immigration enforcement operation in ICE's history, Operation Tidal Wave. Today I was proud to announce a new milestone in our joint efforts to combat illegal immigration and to restore order in our communities. Florida law enforcement have arrested more than 10,400 illegal immigrants across our state. Florida leads again. See, here's the secret. When you work with the federal government, when you work with federal law enforcement, then you don't have all the riots and the craziness. It's coordinated and you end up getting major work done. So those on the left can get out there and say, well, we've never seen them in red states. That's true. Sort of. We do See them in red states, they're in and then they're out. They do their job and they leave. No chaos required. Thank you to the left for admitting that. We gotta bring the radio crew back from commercial. Don't go anywhere. Lots more news. It's the Tony Kenneth cast. This is the Tony Kennett cast on 93 WIBC. Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. Well, you would think that right now, in the middle of a series of investigations from possible immigration fraud regarding marrying her brother to enter the United States, all the way over to all of these photos of her with individuals from various fraud schemes, all kinds of fraud schemes, from the Minnesota Medicare and Medicaid Somali migrant fraud to. To the NGO and nonprofit fraud to, well, the daycare fraud. Like all kinds of campaign photos with these very strong, important leaders of the Somali migrant community. One might think right now would be a very good time were I. Ilhan's lawyer to Fury, Ilhan Omar, maybe to. Shut up, stay off of media. Don't get out there and just run your mouth over and over and over and over. But, you know, did Ilhan Omar listen to that advice?
G
No.
A
So she first of all out amongst the people in Minneapolis just inciting violence openly. Excellent idea. Great way to go, Ilhan. Here she goes.
H
We are going to show all of.
A
Them the door out. And we are going to make sure again the sign. Man, you must make a fortune in Minneapolis is like an ASL person. I'm just saying I have seen more ASL staff in Minneapolis and at press conferences with local and state and then of course congressional officials than anywhere else combined. I tell you what, St. Peter must live on the borders of Minnesota and just slice people's ears off as they go into the state to need this many ASL staff.
H
We are going to make sure that these people pay for what they have done to us.
A
We're going to make sure these people pay for what they have done to us. Uh, that doesn't sound like peaceful protest. What? That sounds very violent. That sounds remarkably violent. Now, of course, she excuses the kind of violence once she's actually out there in, you know, on the big media interviews. So. So here she is making up a totally different story about Renee Good and what she was doing before. Again, either attempting vehicular manslaughter or homicide via her vehicle. Here you go. They are claiming this is an act of terrorism.
H
Yeah. Renee Nicole Goode, as you hear her say, she's not mad. She's sitting in her car peacefully waving.
A
Cars to get by, which is again, why Is she doing that? Why is she waving cars to get by? What does that, what does that mean? Oh, she's parked in the middle of street preventing immigration officials from doing their job. She's obstructing justice. She has no authority to just wave. She's not the crossing guard. What, what is this? No. And she's not sitting in her car peacefully either. We have all kind. There's been more footage in the last 72 hours that has emerged different angles from this particular event than we see out of most events, entire investigations. And every single video that is released makes Renee Goode look worse. She was accosting officers, doing the very kind of stuff that according to her little groups that she was trained to do.
H
This agent, as you see, gets out of his car, automatically starts running towards her, trying to open her door. She feels scared. She tries to turn the wheel away. And then you see the other officer, who can clearly see the car is moving, move towards the front of the.
A
Car, which if that's not the timeline. That's not the timeline. According to the video we see where the, the, the wife who correctly blames herself for Renee Good's death, who said, drive, baby, drive, that when she was harassing the other ICE official and, and you know, griping at him, complaining, you know, getting all up in his face once he heard the other officer tell Renee to wait. Then he moves to the front of the vehicle to stop, to post himself in front of the vehicle and say, you're not going anywhere. Stop. You are surrounded. There's nowhere to go. You violated the law.
H
They are saying that he has 10 years on service and they're not saying it.
A
That's just the truth. He served in the National Guard. He served in combat. He came back to this country, served in border patrol and, and served in ice. He has a very, very accomplished 10 year record of service. That's not their saying. That's the fact of the matter.
H
It's trained. He should know that you shouldn't be trying to get in front of a moving car.
A
It was not moving when he was in front of the vehicle. And I'm sorry, this idea that, well, he should know not to put himself in front of a vehicle. Hang on a second here. Why, why does she have the right of way? Pedestrians have the right of way. You know what might be a better idea? Don't run over police officers. You know what might be a better idea? Don't obstruct traffic. Don't park your vehicle at a 30 degree angle in the middle of the street to block federal law enforcement. And then when federal law enforcement is finally tired of saying, move, move, move, and they say, all right, fine, then we are going to be under arrest. And they go over and try to pull her out of the car because she will be under arrest for violating federal law. Then her lesbian life partner of excellent advice then says, hey, break the law. Drive, baby, drive. And she drives. And then once she has FA'd, she then FOS.
H
So it is not acceptable for Kristi Noem and the president and the Vice President to make these kind of judgments without there being a full investigation.
A
Oh, isn't that the pot calling the kettle black? What on earth? Well, they should really wait a few, you know, a couple of seconds. After all, you know, I, I, I don't have a record of immediately condemning Derek Chauvin and the ICE agent in this instance and every other situation where before we had an investigation pull out, especially if there was a racial narrative. Presto. Ilhan Omar parachutes in, goes, I'm the captain now, and then announces to the world she has divined the truth of the matter. Incredible stuff. Incredible. Uh, unfortunately this does turn into a little bit of a fraud situation regarding the budget as well. Ilhan Omar is already under several kinds of federal investigation, but she is still going 110 miles an hour, throwing in earmarks to. I'm, I'm not joking. Isis, you were told. I was told that when it came to the fine individuals like Representative Ilhan Omar, that her Somalian ness. Well, it wasn't the kind of festering, fraudulent behavior that was like a lot of the rest of the Somali migrant community. No, she's pure as the driven snow. She would never be caught, say, trying to stuff in a bunch of funding into more bills while we're already in the midst of a major fraud scandal. Well, it seems that might be a little bit, a little too optimistic because Mike Howell here at the Oversight Project has got a little news for us. Mike, take it away.
C
Yeah, so look, the entire country was reeling over the Minneapolis like fraud scandal, right? And Congress gets back right after the New Year's. And what does the Republican led Congress do? Put towards a bill that includes giveaways to Democrats, what we call earmarks. None other than Alon Omar and Senator Klobuchar up there in Minnesota put in an earmark for a Somali led organization, nonprofit in Minneapolis. That's quote, unquote, does, you know, substance abuse type stuff. We checked it out. I don't think they do too much of that. And guess what? They got ties to isis. To isis, of all places. And so we raise the alarm, unfortunately, sometimes only you could do around this town is just go viral on social media. And it went viral enough that the Republicans were shamed enough. They took that one earmark out, left the rest in. But this just shows what we're up against. And guess what? They're back at it again. This week. They got another funding bill full of pork.
A
I hear this constantly, and it bothers me. People say, well, maybe what we need to do is get rid of, you know, the filibuster over here. Maybe what we really need to do is change how executive power works over here. I have an idea. Maybe send congressmen and women to Washington whose immediate reaction to anything at all is just, oh, quick, somebody get another earmark into the funding bill. I mean, it's ridiculous how many projects that are either like, minutes. We just got done talking about Tim Burchett and funding Al Qaeda directly. We just got done talking about the funding, of course, for Al Shabaab in Somalia. Now here we are with funding to isis. Of course it's connected to Klobuchar, who's likely to be the next gubernatorial candidate to replace Tim Walls. Ilhan Omar is involved.
B
How?
A
And. And you what you guys know that you haven't looked over the entire budget. No one has. That thing is. Is bigger than Rosie o' Donnell on a fight night.
C
That's right. I mean, and Republicans, you know, it's just like, they don't understand really what the people expect of them. They don't think they're going to catch them. So they put these things, you know, on the Internet, like, a couple hours before they're going into a. A committee hearing to move it, and no one reads it. I'm not even sure leadership read it. I could. I know that Republican leadership wasn't thrilled that we were, you know, the skunks of the Garden Party and said, hey, slow down here. Like, you can't get money to ISIS connected groups. But this is just business as usual. And it shows how out of step this Congress is. And the Republican Party, frankly, the money and incumbency and the power to protect these people that are so out of line with, like, voter intent is really a core issue in our constitutional Republican. We did massive turnover and systemic turnover.
A
So how is it, the oversight project, when you guys tear into these particular bills last minute here? You're looking through all of these programs. Can you give us a bit of insight as to how you do this? Because I'm used To, you know, the whole FOIA process taking forever. You've got turnaround that's got to be lickety split quick here before the House, you know, ships it over to the Senate. How gives a little bit insight as to how you find these things.
C
Yeah, so we got a great team, a lot of former federal law enforcement officials that, that did white collar fraud and crime and also killed a terrorist or two in their, their day. And so they understand some of these networks and they're equipped with a lot of tools to, you know, peel back.
A
Have seen these names before, maybe.
C
Yes, yes. And then you have a team of lawyers right next to them that understand how Congress works, the laws governing these things. And you just work faster and harder to try to be Congress trying to shove it down everyone's throat. And we work harder than Congress, so we beat them there.
A
So we have sent messages over to Ilhan Omar's office and to Klobuchar's office. I sure hope that one of Klobuchar staffers doesn't get hit over this. But when you're giving these kinds of, you know, information outlets, you're trying to get this info out. What was the response from Ilhan Omar and Klobuchar on cutting this particular nonprofit charity, Substance Abuse ISIS Foundation?
C
Yeah, I haven't heard them say anything actually, which worries me that they secured some like back, you know, room deal to get it in there another way or something. It's still got to go through the Senate. And so we'll see what the Senate does. Maybe they try putting it back in. But Omar and Klobuchar, you know, they're just responding on the global issues. You and I are just evil racists, as is Donald Trump. And so they're not talking about their one corrupt endeavor. They're just trying to protect this ethnic enclave that they have depended on them for voting issues entirely.
A
So this is why I ask that question. So, Tim Walls, Keith Ellison. As soon as the Trump administration froze funding into Minnesota on the massive, extremely fraudulent programs, the message that the governor and the attorney General came out and brought to the American people was, this is evil. Because, yeah, even if there's some fraud, that money is still probably not really going to Minnesotans who really need it. If Ilhan Omar and Klobuchar believe in this particular program, this nonprofit, you know, ISIS backed substance abuse program, then wouldn't they be out there saying, oh, that ISIS stuff, maybe that's small, or that was one staffer who has a troubled past or, you know, some people did something Whatever Ilhan usually says before kissing her brother. Why now that this is out, isn't it like really sketchy to not come out? And maybe there's like, what, shame perhaps, or at least the political concern of blowback that they're trying to just whistle past the graveyard of a bigger scandal here?
C
No, because modern Democrats practice politics differently than I think most Americans expect politics to be practiced. They understand.
A
Explain that for me.
C
Yeah, you know, most Democrats and, you know, elected or otherwise made up their minds in about a quarter second about all of this because they practice the front enemy distinction. And Somalians can never do anything wrong, either can any illegal aliens. And so it doesn't even matter what the argument is. They're taking aside of the illegal aliens every single time. And they also see fraud as a governing strategy. It's their regime strategy. You get money and resources through any means, legal or illegal, to your voter constituencies. And their voter constituencies right now are mainly illegal aliens, newly, you know, naturalized citizens who never should have been here in the first place. Sexual degenerates and perverts, wine moms, the mentally ill, and then all other sorts of people that, you know, could fit in what I'll call a Brooklyn 4am bus stop, kind of looking like a voter coalition. And so those people can do nothing wrong. They're not looking to excuse it, they're looking to celebrate it. I mean, if you could get Somalians millions of dollars out of the government's coffers, you're going to be pretty damn popular in Minneapolis. And that's why, you know, Klobuchar is there and a long homar is there. It's really that simple.
A
Really good points as always. Mike Howell, director of the Oversight Project, will of course link this latest, I mean, bombshell down in the description. I don't know how you guys keep finding this stuff. And it's even more concerning that it has to be y' all that find it, not, you know, the people we send to Congress. Thanks for stopping by.
C
Thanks for having me on, buddy.
A
All right, let's talk for just a couple of minutes here about some of the ways that the federal government is moving forward to fix this stuff from happening in the future. Because believe it or not, there is some really good news. One of these things is that Treasury Secretary Scott Besant is now pushing forward official executive level policy. This will need to be codified by Congress. So good luck, Chuck. But Treasury Secretary Scott Besant from his, his perch in the administration is ensuring new policy that says if you are on any kind of federal assistance, whether you're on welfare, whether you're on the Medicare, Medicaid help, if you're on some kind of public assistance from the United States, you are not going to be allowed to send money out of the country somewhere else. So if you are one of these people who come to the United States and when coming into the United States, you then get a bunch of welfare and help, you're on some type of super special migrant money delivery system, and then you decide that you're going to send money back to. Let's see, let's pick a random country out of the blue here. Let's say Somalia. All right? You will not be able to just throw that out of the country anymore. It will theoretically be flagged because you do have to basically state why you're sending money out of the country anyway. And it will give the United States federal government a little, and I do mean just a little more of a heads up in the amount of money that is leaving. Now, according to a couple of sources, I'm not quite ready to, you know, double down on this yet. There might be money sitting in bags at the airport in Minnesota. We'll get to that. Don't go anywhere. It's the Tony Kenned cast here on the Daily Signal, The Tony Kennett cast on 93 WIBC. Welcome back to the Tony Kennett cast. A little quick thing here that I guess I wasn't quite aware of until rather recently. If you're listening over on the radio side, the podcast, podcast side of things, I really would encourage you to head over to YouTube.com daily signal or our equivalent over on Rumble and watch the show there. There's a lot of really great visual elements that we do enjoy showing you. And I'm just gonna say that's the best part. Now, if you're in traffic like on i465. Yeah. Don't watch the show then. It'll keep for just a minute or so. What won't keep for just a minute or so? Do you like that segue? There are, according to Real America's voice, bags of money that have been discovered supposedly en route to Somalia yet again at the airport in Minneapolis. Now, this has been a thing for quite a while in which even as we've shown clips of here on the show, former TSA agents have verified that there were big briefcases, suitcases full of money. And I'm not talking about the Iranian currency or the Zimbabwean currency that is not worth the toilet paper that it would be used to wipe for I'm talking about US Greenbacks sending their way out of the country to Somalia or other countries of interest. So it appears that right in the middle of this insanely huge series of fraud scandals and investigations that people might still be doing their darndest to get money out of the country and into the, I don't know, pockets of. What would you call them, their benefactors? Well, I mean as said paraphrasing, but the word clan used specifically their clans back home, as they would say in Somalia. Now moving on very briefly, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, he is in the middle of this major Middle Eastern conflagration, taking a bit of time to roast those who continue to endeavor to get in the way of Immigration Customs Enforcement officials in Minneapolis and other cities. Here's the President of the United States. Vice President yesterday suggested that Renee Good, who was killed by this ICE officer, was part of a broad left wing network. What has your team told you about this broad left wing network? Who is in charge of it? Who's part of it? What, what's it called?
B
Well, I haven't seen the vice President's statement, but he's generally very accurate. I hate to say, look, I watched that yesterday and there are a lot of, a lot of different forms to it, but there was a woman screaming, shame, shame, shame, shame. She was a agitator, probably a paid agitator, but in my opinion she was an agitator, a very high level agitator, so professional, she wouldn't say, stop screaming. I said this isn't a normal situation, this is a professional troublemaker because you heard it and I had it. Now I will say this, the news sort of turned her down, turned her off because you're trying to watch. She was so loud and so crazy and just not normal. When somebody sees something like that, they don't.
A
And by the way, in case you're saying, well, Trump's just talking, he's just rambling on, no, there are protesters. The daily wires reporters have confirmed this. Again, just individuals admitting to them. I believe Fox as well. We have a clip ready. Laura Ingraham, Seeing people just admit, yeah, I'm being paid to be here. I'm being paid to agitate, I'm being paid to encourage people to obstruct justice. Shame, shame. Do you have a job? Do you have a job? Shame, shame. I'm getting paid right now. Excellent. I, I love that I, I'm due, I gotta say the, the radical honesty of some of these individuals as to why they are there. What they are doing what they plan to do. For example, when they announced that they have driven in four hours just to protest outside of a Mexican restaurant. I mean, come on, Paul, you came in from Madison, Wisconsin. That's a long drive. Help explain. I have. That is a really long drive from Madison up to Minneapolis, and that's a boring country to drive through. Sorry to my friends out in Hillsborough, Wisconsin. Why would you do that? Guy who's trying not to be the hipster version of the brawny paper towel man to me, why you're here outside of this business right now. So I'm out here right now because this business put out a call for people to stand on this corner to watch the business for them. They've been really worried about reopening. They were shut down for the past five days. Why? Why? Why would. Why would you be worried about being, you know, that you would need to stand. You know, you're a Mexican restaurant. Mexican restaurants very popular in the Midwest. If you live in the United States. If you live in the Midwest and you do not have a favorite local Mexican restaurant, your heart's not right with the Lord, my friend. If you don't know the difference between your favorite Mexican restaurants, way that they prepare their salsa, and their arroz con pollo, then the next place. Oh, man, you're not a true Midwesterner. So what is the fear here? Are you employing illegals? Because that's a violation of federal law after ICE was here and. And they just aren't comfortable just doing this on their own. And this is a Mexican restaurant and grocery store. And Paul, I see that you have a lot of equipment on you. You have a camera, obviously you have another GoPro back here. You've got. This acts as a whistle. You were telling me. Excellent. You brought two cameras and a rape whistle. There you go, Paul. Yeah, he's ready. Radio crew, we gotta send you off for the evening. We're gonna continue on the live stream. No rape whistle required. It's the Tony Kennett cast. Okay, so again, I remind you that while there are people in Iran and in Venezuela who are putting their lives at risk protesting against the regimes under which they suffer and making incredible headway despite the large number of people who are killed here in the United States, dumpy dudes from Madison, Wisconsin, are driving four hours to stand vigil outside a random Mexican restaurant and grocery with his. He's fully loaded for equipment. Ah, yes. Full kit. I'll never forget Fort Benning. They're like, full, full kit. Sarnt said full Kit requires three things. First, your camera, second, your other camera. And third, no soldier should be caught without his rape whistle. And then we all said, yes, Sergeant, clearly. I mean, come on. Come on. Is that it? So you have weird beta dudes who are running around the country protesting with rape whistles, and then you have menopausal liberal ladies. I have gotten a couple of emails, so I will address this really quickly because you know, why you say, why do you keep saying menopausal? Well, there's really not a great term for these angry, unsatisfied, liberal white women. They've been called awfuls. Angry white. I don't forget what the F stands for. Liberal ladies. Whatever the reason I say menopausal is, I have noticed over watching way too much protester footage and things that the right and left leaning ladies go through the issues of life in completely different ways. It appears that people who accept responsibility and have a job and are close to their families and invest in their families and their local churches, when life brings on the next stage, they take it with gusto. They buckle down and they deal with it. Ladies on the left, they hit one small rock in the road and it's complete derailment. Before long, they're either the governor of Oregon yelling on Ms. Now or yelling at one of these protests. I, I just, I, I'm sorry, I have to see if we can find it. That one clip of the lady we showed on Friday who was angrily yelling over and over and over and over that the officers should shoot her. I'm, I'm sorry, I'm, I'm just flabbergasted that we appear to be here right now in this, this particular place. I'm, I can't understand it. Well, we'll, we'll pull up that, that particular, that particular clip here in just a bit maybe, because I want to go back very briefly here at the end, kind of for bonus tone, a section of the show. I want to talk about Senator Mark Kelly from Arizona. Senator Mark Kelly from Arizona is an interesting dude. Uh, he got out, made a video with a couple of other veterans and federal, former federal agent type individuals and said, hey, I know that right now you guys are doing stuff regarding narco terrorist drug boats. Um, but if you ever, you know, think an order is illegal, you don't have to obey that. If you, the seamen out there in the Navy, you the first year E1 in the army, you don't think that some order is legal. Well, let me tell you, you just don't obey it. Because you're clearly a legal expert. And then the Department of War investigated him and censured him. And now Senator Mark Kelly is fighting back, sort of. So he does what every Democrat Congress person does to, you know, seem hip and young. The very first thing you gotta do is get out the phone, hold it vertical, vertically, and make your blogger announcement. He's suing. Here you go.
G
Hey, folks. So today I filed a federal lawsuit against Pete Hegseth and the administration. And here's why. Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth sent a chilling message to every retired member of the military. If you speak out, say something that the President or the Secretary of Defense does not like, you will be censured, threatened with a reduction in retirement grade, or even prosecuted. They're abusing their authority to silence the voices that they find inconvenient, even when the speech is protected by the First Amendment. That warning is not just alarming, it's unconstitutional. And that's why I'm fighting back. So thank you for standing with me through all of this and I'll keep you posted.
A
Okay. That's real special. So he makes the case that he is being taken advantage of. His First Amendment rights have been thwarted. Okay. According to the Uniform Code of Military justice, you give up a select number of your First Amendment rights to act in chorus, to act according to the whims and wills of your commanding officer. And even after you take off the uniform, if you ever use your status as a uniformed member to encourage others to engage in insurrection or impede the process of normal orders being carried out, that's illegal. You can't do that. That violates several policies and procedures in both civil law and in the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So he's very, very upset. So then he did what all other Democrat individuals who are mad do. He gets out on the floor of the Senate on C span 2, couldn't make C span 1, and he yells a little bit more. Again, exciting stuff for Senator Mark Kelly. Good times.
G
A 100 year old World War II veteran could be hauled in and censured or court martialed because he says something that Pete Hegseth disagrees with.
A
Now, you and I know that's not gonna happen. The first and foremost reason that's not gonna happen is if you think there is one World War II veteran. One. Find me one World War II veteran that is against blowing up narco terrorist boats in the Southern Caribbean. Find me one World War II veteran who believes this. Especially a World War II veteran who saw combat. There is not one out there. That is one and going. Well, maybe these four modified outboard motorboats without any fishing rods are fishermen. Gee, they're really explosive, like precursor chemicals, but incredible stuff. So also. No. No one's hauling a random guy before Congress. You are both a United States Senator. And parade your military status around as an 06, a retired Navy captain, and use it as weight and authority when you talk to troops. In essence, you are encouraging a change in the way a soldier, an airman, a sailor, a marine, a coast guardsman, or for the space force, a guardian views their commanding officer's orders. And you can't do that court marshaled.
G
Because he says something that Pete Hegseth disagrees with. That's wrong. It's not the way things work in the United States of America. And I will not stand for it.
A
Okay, that's really great. That's not how things work in the United States of America. Well, see, the Uniform Code of Military justice is for the United States of America. Fun fact. I know. Deeply shocking to me. When I heard it, I couldn't believe it either. So really cool facts. We'll see what that does. He's filed a civil lawsuit, which means that's gonna go nowhere. But still, exciting stuff. Super neat. Way to go, Mark Kelly. Whatever helps you launch a really pathetic presidential campaign here in a couple of years. Now, I did promise when I said the. I was talking about the ladies of the menopausal left that are losing it. I did have that clip saved. Here, you go. Ahead. Shoot me. Shoot me. Shoot me. You want to shoot me? You want to shoot me? Shoot me. Go f. Shoot. Show me. Show me, Pepper. Shame me. Hurt me. Shame at you. I'm your grandmother. You are not my grandmother. My grandmother is a wonderful woman who does not act like that in public. No, you're not my grandmother. I, I can only imagine that whoever it is out there that is watching their grandmother screaming in vocal fry, shoot me again. Shaking back and forth like one of the monsters from Monsters Incorporated trying to scare a child. I mean, again, I, I, I, I don't think I would recommend such behavior. But alas. All right, onto some other judicial and federal news, because it never stops. A federal judge on Monday changed her mind. Sorry, I'm just gonna leave that one. Excuse me. A federal judge on Monday changed her mind and decided there should be a hearing to determine whether Luigi Mangione's backpack was lawfully seized and searched during his arrest in Altoona, Pennsylvania. So you may recall Luigi Mangione, the guy who allegedly shot the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, an insurance company to which he doesn't get insurance. A very mentally unstable individual who. I mean, running from the police using fake IDs and identity. The footage that's been procured, for example, from the McDonald's that he was arrested in, really sketchy stuff. The judge is now accepting a hearing that the police who found this individual unlawfully seized and searched his backpack. I'm starting to believe that Katanji Brown Jackson's appointment to the Supreme Court of the United States was actually not that unprecedented because apparently they hand out federal judgeships to anyone on the street that has a pulse and sometimes maybe not even that required. I'm sorry, wait, what. What federal statutes are there out there that suggest that if you get an individual and there is reasonable suspicion that in his backpack, on his person, at the scene of the crime, or in a trash can between there and the place he's caught is off limits somehow? What. What Cracker Jack box did you get your law degree from? And people wonder why there is so much clamoring in the United States for the President to start ignoring federal judges. I know the Supreme Court ruled in a lot of federal judges in their national universal super duper injunctions last year in June, but I got. I gotta tell you, they didn't go far enough. They did not go far enough at all. Um, now this brings us over to Jerome Powell. So the President of the United States is the Department of Justice, I should say. And the President of the United States, of course, have expressed. Expressed quite a bit of displeasure. Chairman of the Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell. And the idea is that they are investigating whether or not and to what extent Jerome Powell lied to Congress when discussing renovations that went way, way, way, way, way over budget for a renovation of the Federal Reserve building. So I'm going to do something that a lot of commentators on the left and the right have not done today, and that is on this particular instance, I am going to reserve my judgment. You say, Tony, why are you going to reserve your judgment? I haven't seen the indictment yet. I want to see the exact language in the indictment here before I get out there and I say, oh, this is clearly the most political thing ever. Or, well, I mean, you know, Jerome did or didn't lie to Congress. I want to see the exact statements. I want to see some surrounding documents because I've heard some pretty compelling cases that Trump is just really pissed with Jerome Powell and is going after him because Trump doesn't like the Fed. I don't like the Fed either. I think the Federal Reserve sucks. I don't like it. I don't think it should be a thing. On the other hand, I also am aware that the President of the United States absolutely is taking a look at individuals who have been harshly critical and have been acting politically in supposedly non political positions, which Jerome Powell absolutely has been doing, and then saying, hmm, let's see if there's any crimes that you've committed. Sure would be a shame. You think you're so great. You think there's someone like you never been before who can get away with it all. I'm here to tell you that in this country, you gotta play by the rules. I, I mean, I, I wanna see the indictment. I hope that's not too disappointing to y'.
C
All.
A
It's just for me. I'm. I'm gonna wait. Just a hop, skip and a jumping moment. Now a couple of great mail time questions. So from David Maiskura, good friend of the show, Tony, Why is Ilhan Omar, the Somali, still in office? Why has Congress not just locked her out? Well, we are finally now at the position after between 10 and 20 billion dollars in Somali fraud, that people are finally willing to say, wow, this Somali culture kind of sucks. Gee, it's kind of awful.
C
Hmm.
A
And in that process, people have once again started taking arguments against still Hanumar seriously. In, in today's day and age, where there are a lot of things people say that are absolutely wackadoodle crazy. For example, like the guy who shot up the synagogue in Mississippi because he called a synagogue of Satan. And that kind of stupidity. It just so happens that when you're in the business like this, where you hear a lot of people saying a lot of things every day, it can be easier to suggest that something that sounds too crazy to be true doesn't deserve your attention. The issue with Ilhan Omar is that a lot of this stuff is rather documented. And so therefore it requires two things. Number one, it actually requires a Congress to have the cojones to censure her, to expel her from Congress. George Santos got that treatment, deservedly so. So should Ohan Omar. I don't know why we have the, the awkward and weird goofy deflections. I'll remind you that there was a particular Republican representative who may or may not have gotten married in the Al Qaeda mosque. Yes, that Al Qaeda mosque that you know, in exchange for dropping investigations on him from an ethics committee. We wouldn't touch Ilhan Omar. How about no. How about just getting rid of her now. She is now getting the investigatory scoop. Nancy Mace is heading this up. James Comer is finally ready to just say screw it to everyone else and take some knuckles. But I really am with a lot of you on this one. I've heard the investigation thing. I'm, I'm ready to go ahead and finally see some things take place. And I don't mean finally as though I'm coming around to this. I mean, here we are. Yet another instance where I'm told, oh, she's really stepped into this time. She's still brazenly adding ISIS funding NGO measures to the continuing resolutions and House leadership isn't going, hey, maybe we should look at everything Ilhan Omar puts in. Good lord. Google Documents has better owner and and documentation on who puts things into documents than Congress apparently does on these major measures. So sorry, the answer to your question is it's their own fault. Cindy Brooks asks can they be sued for not cooperating to enforce federal laws? Ah, the states. Isn't that treason? No, that's not necessarily treason. Would it be insurrection or sedition would maybe be the contangent there. Isn't it also a violation of their oath of office to the Constitution to protect the border and American citizens? Okay, so individuals who are in state government, the state oath to office is different. It is different depending on what state or commonwealth you're in. I do not. I know Texas does. I can't say for certain on a couple of states I'm thinking through. I really do think that believe it or not, Idaho might be one of them that has it in their state constitution. I'll have to look into that for you. Most states don't have a protect the border, but yeah, you do take an office to protect the Constitution. So the issue is this thing called prosecutorial discretion. Prosecutorial discretion just means that you as an executive branch agency in charge with enforcing the law, you decide how and what to how much to enforce it. Um, that covers a multitude of sins and it is to this date one of my biggest grievances with how a republic is inherently set up. There's really no way to avoid prosecutorial discretion. I would suppose that you could put Congress and the Supreme Court over interpreting whether an individual and executives prosecutorial discretion has been done correctly. I don't know what that would look like. You get into very weedy territory number two, Just so that you have the complete set. The other thing that I find kind of abhorrent is how the executive has the authority to just declare national emergencies and do whatever they want. That's every republic from here to the end of time, though. So as to your question, though, can they be sued for not cooperating to enforce federal laws? Yes. And the reason they can be sued is have they impeded or obstructed federal officers from carrying out federal law that you absolutely can be sued over? And it's really not even a suit. It would. You would just be arrested if a state official is found compliant in obstructing the process of a federal investigation or a federal law enforcement execution. Yeah. Well, then absolutely they can be arrested. That would be a case of insurrection, for example, Tim Walls threatening the National Guard. That cooled down real quick because that is a very blatant kind of insurrection and sedition. So this is another aside here. Treason is when you directly help another country against the United States. And this isn't like a. Well, they're kind of helping sort of the interests of. No, this would be you directly helping a foreign government. Specifically. That is treason. Sedition is when you act against your own country in a conspiratorial manner to impede the federal government in the interest of destabilizing it. That would be sedition. Insurrection is just openly breaking and violating federal law and preventing the federal government from carrying things out or attacking the United States federal officials. That. That kind of fits under insurrection. Again, there are some different interpretations that are not in a precedent set up, but between the Cold War and several espionage arrests all the way into the 20 to the 2000s and 20 tens and the post Civil War Reconstruction era, there are several parallel interpretations on law surrounding insurrection and sedition. And so it's a little difficult to give you just a straight up, you know, dead on right in the eyes answer on that one. So that's kind of the best I can do at this particular time. Last particular question for the day. Will they have any. This is from Rizzell, Tony. Will they have any chance, Illinois or Minnesota to win ensuing ice? I'm still not aware what it is that ICE is being sued for. They are suing them for the most blase. I. I need to see the actual lawsuit charges that are being filed. Like what are they saying? Are they saying that the federal government broke state law or broke federal law? What's the charge here? I. I need to see it. I mean, are they. The idea that they went into the case they would have to make is that ICE is like driving through random towns and violating the jurisdiction of a state and arresting someone for a state statute violation. But from the purview of the federal government in, in the manner of a law the federal government doesn't have the ability to enforce. So I'm trying to think of something that, that is not legal or illegal federally. Okay, example. So the federal government goes through Ohio and they arrest someone for getting an abortion. That's in contrast to state law. The federal government has no authority to do so. Now, if they go through Indiana, where abortion is illegal and the federal government arrests a doctor for performing an abortion, Indiana could theoretically also sue the federal government as well, because that person did not violate a federal statute, but a state statute. So in, in can they win? I think that you might. The joke was made online to me today. I don't think it was much of a joke on a tweet that I wrote about this, that they already have the federal judge in mind ready to essentially issue some kind of an injunction to get ICE out of there. And I think that's possible. But it is very likely an appeals court will backhand this like a noisy kid in a Walmart. I mean, I think that the appeals courts of the United States regarding both the region that Illinois and Minnesota, and I don't see them letting this fly. So I don't think so. The Supreme Court definitely wouldn't let this fly. They're federal law enforcement. They are carrying out federal law. And the only counter argument the Democrats have to that is, well, legal immigration. It's really more of a civil statute matter. No. Nope. Not how the Supreme Court of the United States has upheld it before, nor again, or it would have already been done at the beginning of the administration. This is now what would be called a convenient excuse for a lot of judges to claim they are now seeing this from a different angle. Is it going to, is it actually going to happen? No. There was a Democrat opposite me today on News Nation during the day. I'm the national correspondent for the the Daily Signal who was other than saying over and over and over that he was a former prosecutor, that he also tried to communicate that federal law enforcement did not have the authority to enforce the law. That's not how that works. That ain't how that works. Congress already gave ICE the full funding to hire agents to go throughout the country and to carry out federal law enforcement. You don't like that? Change the law? That's a legislative issue. Tom Holman, by the way, has been very clear on this. No, really, I mean, I, I actually have clips from Tom Holman, the border czar today, making this particular case. So regarding law enforcement, you say, well, how do we, you know, actually get this a lot smoother, a lot cleaner. Local and state law enforcement should work just like with every other agency. Should work with federal law enforcement. Federal agencies here was Tom Holman making that case a couple of months ago? Officers, do you think local law enforcement has the resources to both cooperate with ICE and also conduct public safety for Americans that are committing crimes?
F
Yes.
A
Why?
F
Because they want public safety threat to other community too. And they're willing to work with feds to get make that happen. Every time I, I go in New York City, I don't think I've ever seen an NYPD officer and they come shake my hand and thank me. What we're doing. They want to help these officers. They don't get paid a lot of money, but they want to protect their community and they know someone's here illegally and they can help not only remove them from community, remove them from the country, make the community safer. They're all in. And I don't think it takes a lot of the reverend arrest the same guy five times, arrest him once, giving us. You don't arrest him anymore. I think it's going to relieve a lot of officers time on the streets. And plus, we're talking about again, I'm not asking immigration officers, I'm talking about let us in your jail to arrest a bad guy in the jail. That way the PD's not dealing with him anymore when he goes out and recommits. So I think, I think basma. I've never, let's put it this way, I've never met a law enforcement officer that came to me and says he does not support the removal of criminal aliens. Makes our community safer. And that's what they're all about. That's why they wear that badge. That's why they took that off.
A
Do you again, when you are a state government who has a policy through the attorney general, through some type of a prosecutor at the local or the state level. I say local level. For example, Ryan Mears in Indianapolis who just lets criminals back out onto the streets because he winds racism or something. I don't know, he's retarded or in, you know, concurrent, you have an individual at the state level who also just lets people out of prison, as has been the policy in Minnesota. We've run the story here on the show in Illinois. JB Pritzker letting illegals back out onto the street. Gee, I'm starting to realize why it's the Illinois and Minnesota attorney generals going after the feds here. When you Let them back out onto the streets. Then the feds have to do what they have to go in there. Final analogy. And I, I'll be done here, but it is a fairly decent analogy, if I do say so myself. When you are driving down the road with your children in the back or this is already past a point of life for you, remember back, if you don't have any kids, remember when you were a kid and you have kids in the back of the vehicle that are being obnoxious, noisy and are fighting, they are breaking a rule you have set in your house. No fighting. And they're fighting anyway. What has every single parent said? Don't make me come back there. Now, does the parents say that because they want to come back there? Do they want to have to pull over to the side of the road and introduce someone to a come to Jesus moment? No. What they want is the children to comply. Stop fighting or things will be worse. Follow the rule of law or you really won't like what follows. This is what's going on with the federal government. Hey, Florida, you have illegal immigrants who are in the state violating federal law. And so Florida says, hey, we'll help you with that. No problem. Painless, easy, presto. No problem. You have a state like Minnesota and the feds say, hey, can you give us your data on SNAP benefits? Nope. You're going to use that to deport people? Okay. Will you give us your data on Medicare and Medicaid? Nope. You're going to use that to deport people? Okay, will you give us your information on the IRS and Social Security information? Because we suspect there to be serious tax fraud and stolen identities? Nope. You're gonna use that to deport people? Okay. Will you give the federal government the violent criminals who are illegal aliens who are already in your jails and prisons? Nope. We've already let them back out into the community. Okay, well, then we're getting in there. We're coming back there because the people of Minnesota, the citizens of the state of Minnesota have a right to safety, encouraged by the US Constitution. So to answer the early question about can they be sued? No, it's the federal government has the right to come in and set things straight. Because eventually a state's lawlessness progresses until the point where you do start reaching the point of insurrection and treason. Or sedition, I should say not. Not treason, insurrection and sedition. So that's kind of the answer. I hope that analogy worked. That kind of came to me kind of there at the end of the show. So that said. I hope that you guys have a wonderful evening. We will be back tomorrow at the Same great time, 7pm Eastern, with more on the developing situations or sooner. If the Iranian revolution begins in full and Khomeini is being led out to a guillotine style device, I will go live immediately. Absolutely. So this is the Tony Kennett cast here on the Daily Signal, nationally syndicated and first on 93 WIBC. Y' all take care.

The delivery is fast-paced and colloquial, with occasional asides and pop culture references to lampoon political opponents.
This wide-ranging episode of The Tony Kennett Cast dissects the legal and political hostilities between blue states and the federal government over immigration enforcement. Tony rebuts state-level claims of federal overreach, exposes the mechanics of Democratic fraud and media obfuscation, and fields questions on constitutional law and state authority. The episode closes with a reminder that the core divide is not over legality, but over willingness to cooperate with federal law—and who ultimately gets to enforce it.
