Tony Kennett, host of the Tony Kennett Cast. Let's get down to business. You're listening to the Tony Kennett cast on 93 WIBC on CYTV here on the Daily Signal. Good evening and welcome to the 500th episode of the Tony Kennett Cast, nationally syndicated here from the Daily first from our home station at 93 WIBC in Indianapolis. Whether you're joining us from Live Streams Radio, the TV cable side, or on the podcast section this evening, very, very good to have you. Let's get right into some breaking news. The House of Representatives has passed the Save America Act. This would be the voter ID requirements no longer allowing certain localities in the country to let individuals who might have driver's licenses obtained by more shady means strolling up to the polls and saying, oh, yes, I am this other guy here was the House on that particular vote. The yays on this vote, the yeas are 218 and the nays are 213. There you go. Yeas to 18. The nays are 213. And we head over to the Senate. Now there is a little bit of dyspepsia because Senate Majority Leader John Thune has been perhaps a little hesitant to require Democrats to either use the talking filibuster in which if you don't have 60 votes, then the minority voting group gets to send someone forward and talk as long as their little lungs can carry them. But the Democrats have a different strategy here because getting Cory Booker out from New Jersey, giving him an Emodium and then telling him to stand out there and talk as long as he can didn't really work last time. I mean, they all said he was brave and amazing and wonderful, but it didn't move anyone's hearts or minds. So instead they're bringing out the big guns. That's right. They are now telling Democrat women that they are stupid. Yep. No, I'm serious. The new argument is that if voter ID law passes through the Save America act, women are too stupid to go get voter id. This is the case made by all kinds of Democrats, all different places. For example, Alabama Democrat Representative Terry Sewell, righteous monkey. She got out in front of the House, did the same kind of stuff that we've seen before. Time and time again.
This week, Trump's efforts to rig the elections have made their way to Congress, where Republicans are pushing this piece of legislation which will block more millions of voters from casting their ballots. Let us be clear, this is not a voter ID bill. It is a voter suppression bill, plain and simple. This bill is so extreme that even driver's license would be insufficient to register to vote. Instead, Americans will be required to present their birth certificate or their passport. The reality is that half of Americans do not have a passport.
Yeah, you can go get one. It's not that difficult. They're not expensive. And by the way, no, getting a passport is not a requirement of the Save America act or the SAVE act or any kind of advanced voter id. You would have to produce a birth certificate along with your real id. Real ID qualifies. You know the fancy little yellow star sticker that we have? Yeah. That would, again, drastically increase voter requirements. This is something that a lot of Democrats took to the floor of the House today, again, just to say that women are too dumb and if they get married, to then go and bring documentation showing if they change their name to register to vote. That's the case that Representative Norma Torres of California was making.
Here's who it will hurt. More than 140 million Americans don't have a passport, including Republicans, by the way, as many as 69 million women who follow the traditional practice of changing their name after marriage to do not have a birth certificate that matches their legal name.
Yeah. And then do you know what you do? You go to the cause. By the way, you guys don't know if you know this, but the Social Security Administration doesn't, like, automatically snap their fingers and magically change all of your relevant data after you get married. Incredible. Believe it or not, what you have to do. All right, hear me out. You have some to go before the Social Security Administration. You have to provide them evidence, information that you are now who you claim to be. I am this person. I've changed my name. And then they update the info. That's it. And there is not one documented case on the record anywhere in the United States in a federal election of a lady being turned away, who provided documentation. Hey, changed my name, got married. It's not like it's a new practice. But it's not just random members of the House. The House Minority Whip, Catherine Clark of Massachusetts tried the same rigmarole.
They're trying to say, this is a voter ID bill. That's not what's happening here.
It is. Let's just look at a typical mom, you guys. Oh, a typical mom. Here we go. Let's get out there. And call women stupid is a wild strategy. It's a wild strategy because you're calling women stupid in two ways. Here. First of all, you are telling women that they are too stupid to do the thing that all women do after they get married. Have to contact the Social Security administration about your name change. I know because I watched my wife do it. I was with her when we were talking about this and began talking about it, by the way, on our honeymoon. Additionally suggesting that women would be too stupid to know that they might have to bring some type of proof that their name has changed. Like bringing the birth certificate. If the guy's going to go, hey, wait a minute here, these two names are different. You go, yeah, I got married. What's he gonna, what's he gonna say? Nuh, he's not gonna start singing. Put a ring on it. It's ridiculous.
Must know some working mothers, the ones that I hear from across my district and across this country, they are struggling.
Ah, here's the next big, big. This is. Well, the real problem is is that not only are they really too stupid to, to go out and get an id, they're too stupid to manage their time. They're so busy they could never go get an id. I mean everyone knows that the Democrat idea of what a woman is when it comes to legislation is a lady that has 14 different children to a bunch of different dads. They're working 15 and a half part time jobs. They're driving a Model T Ford, which back right tire is actually an Olympics snow ski. And they have 14 diseases and probably only two limbs on any given day. And they're the most helpless creatures known to man unless they've crossed the border and then that's one level up food.
On the table for their kids, working.
Two jobs to try and make ends meet. There it is, right? It can never just be mom. It always has to be this. She's working 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 jobs. Again, even if you work two jobs, you can get ID. Believe it or not, a lot of places that you have to drive to to make those two jobs happen, you kind of need ID in order to drive your vehicle. So this is what they're, they're pushing out here. It's wild. It's very, very unpopular as an opinion. And the, the dudes are getting involved too. So you have Senator Alex Padilla who's really upset. No one's paying attention to him anymore since he tried to rush Kristi Noem and got tackled because he wasn't wearing any identification. And so he strutted out and did his big routine.
Rob Bluey
The real agenda here is to exploit immigrants in their desire to Rig the election this November and hold on to power.
Tony Kennett
Ah, so wait a minute, I'm a little confused. I was told a few minutes ago that Republican women were also going to be like super duper disenfranchised or whatever. And so this was really bad. Now you're just saying that it's a Republican tactic to oppress, to repress voters. Which means we're extending this back out to the black people can't get id, poor people can't get ID argument. It's just really, really weak and it's rather embarrassing.
Rob Bluey
That's what it's about for Republicans. We gotta stand up for it to it.
Tony Kennett
It sounds like you're not willing to negotiate on voter id. Senator, I do want to ask you one. Go ahead.
Rob Bluey
Voter ID is a solution in search of a problem. Because the truth.
Tony Kennett
Oh, it's a solution in search of a problem. Oh, that's why, I mean, you know, cases of rape are just so rare. Do we really even need any laws saying, you know, don't rape people? Cause I mean, it's really a solution in search of a problem. I mean, most people who get involved in some type of sexual assault in a lawless society are usually greeted upon by reprisal, vigilante justice. Do we even really need that? Stupid. It is a stupid thing to take the position of when you are. It's not just an 8020 issue, it's a 9010 issue issue. Now, believe it or not, Democrat Representative Delia Ramirez, who's a few bricks short of a ceiling fan. Sorry, mixed metaphors are kind of a thing I'm fond of. Democrat Representative Delia Ramirez, the newest, freshest face on the left. She's, she's not just going for the lady card. She's bringing it all down to the number one issue for Democrats, White supremacy. The kind that apparently hunts down Jussie Smollett in Chicago. Here you go.
Look, as I hear my colleagues on the other side of the aisle, what I hear is the same racist, misogynistic trash.
Ah, yes, you need an id. Oh, so racist. So misogynistic. Incredible radio crew. We gotta send you off to the commercial land. We're gonna continue on the live stream and learn about our apparent white supremacy. Misogyny. Goodness, I guess it's the Tony Kinnid cast here on the Daily Signal. Look, with the authority that she's standing, I am here doing the hands. Racism, misogyny, homophobia, photosynthesis. I'm using the words. It's exciting.
Different decade. Republicans are invoking Historical policies intended, let's be clear, to disenfranchise Americans, especially working people.
Oh, working people. Ah, yes, of course. I know so many people who work 18 hours a day and they are then carted in locked vehicles from their eight and a half jobs to their shelter. And then they are picked up by the truant officer in the morning and they are told, no, you can't go and get id. Stop it. Yes. Ah. Mm. I, I enjoy these little imaginary situations. Exciting stuff, you know, really, really cool. Good times, you know, again, thrilling to see. Now, from the other side of the aisle here, of course, Speaker Mike Johnson has made it clear the House is just going to keep passing any kind of voter ID law necessary because it's incredibly popular until the Senate decides to pick it up and do something with it. They don't have any logical answer. You've drawn the obvious conclusion. They want illegals to vote. That's why they opened the border wide for four years under Biden and Harris and allowed in all these dangerous people. It was a means to an end. The end is. Is maintaining their own power. Their policies are so unpopular, they are refuted and repudiated at the ballot boxes over and over. And so they feel like they've got to allow, they've got to cheat, frankly. That's it. They've got to allow illegals to participate in elections so that they can continue to win. Now, you used to see a lot of articles that came out and would say, oh, how dare. This is such divisive rhetoric from the right. You're not seeing that anymore because again, the left is proclaiming that this is going to be dressing up America's women in red robes and leading them around like slaved cattle and because women are too dumb to get voter id. Now, this did in fact boil down to the conversation regarding immigration, which for just a brief second, Democrats had a little bit of momentum on because of Minneapolis. For just a brief moment, they had some political capital and they have blown it on fighting the Voter ID Acts, the SAVE Act, Save America act, which has now passed the House. And this comes down to in particular the consistent data which is provided on illegal immigrant activity, crimes committed, and Democrat administration's interactions with Immigration Customs Enforcement, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice. This came to a head for a brief shining moment where we got some actual answers in the Department of Justice Committee Pam Bondi hearing today in which Representative Brad Knott of North Carolina got a sliver of a moment amidst all of the yelling and the cat fights which we'll talk about in a second. To ask Bondi about illegal immigrant activity in various cities that have sanctuary policies that make it easier to vote illegally, for instance. Hear a lot of talk from the other side about victims, about victims of violent crimes, sex crimes, murders, whatever it may be. But I want to be very clear. Illegal aliens who have been arrested for committing some of the most heinous crimes, they have been released by sanctuary cities, by sanctuary states, rather than being turned over to the federal government for deportation. Isn't that correct?
It is. And it's. It's sad for all Americans that any jurisdiction would do that. These are some of the most violent criminals I think we've all seen.
Now, again, this is something that Americans understand. It's not some super magical surprise that knocks people off of their feet. It's not something that's overtly complicated. If you are explaining, you're losing. That is a typical rule in politics that continues to be reaffirmed as true time and time again. And this is the part that's really rough. Every time Democrats come out and argue against voter id, they always do this in the exact same order. So first they'll say, oh, it's really bad for the poor people. And then that doesn't work because no one believes them. So then they play the race card. And for a few days, all of the tweets and posts and op EDS and little selfie videos which we'll get to say, oh, it's all super racist. It's gonna hurt all the black people. And then that's followed up with the sexism argument. And that comes down to Pam Bondi. We're gonna get to it. We gotta bring the radio crew back from commercial. Big show tonight. It's the Tony Kinnid cast. Don't go anywhere. You're listening to the Tony Kenneth cast on 93 WIBC. Yeah, 500 miles. Yeah. 500th episode. Okay. You may not be impressed, but that's really the only 500 thing that I could think of other than, I don't know, something from the Daytona 500. So welcome back to the Tony Kennett cast. We've got a lot to tackle this evening, mainly that committees are the biggest waste of time on planet Earth. So there was an idea that people were kept apart from these important congressional committees in the House and the Senate. They would bring people in, they do all these investigations and all of these deep, important questions, but there was no audio or video from it. So out came C span and C span 2 and C span 3. And, and C span 8, the Ocho, all of these little networks that came in and started televising congressional committees and they found something out. In the age of social media, I can take a little clip of me getting hot and bothered in a committee and I can look like I'm fighting for my constituents. I, I can look as though I'm actually working. And after 15, 20 years of this, because it was really a lot more rare 15 to 20 years ago, you have to go back into some, for example, confirmation hearings that were televised, sort of, they weren't even recorded. Some of the old C SPAN archives have even been deleted now because of social media. It's all performative theater and it's a waste of time. And it's such a waste of time that some of the old guard who know that it's worthless and you're not actually getting any answers for you or the American people. Like Representative Jerry Nadler, who may or may not have got off with Noah stepping down from the ark onto Mount Ararat. Representative Jerry Nadler had to be shaken awake in committee this morning with Pam.
Bondi, Protect the American people.
So she's talking. Chair Jim Jordan's listening. There are a few people nodding. Some are getting ready for their super exciting rebuttals and performances. And Romeo, Romeo, wherefore is my time, Romeo? You got Jamie Raskin, who looks like Cory Booker, giving a speech in the Senate for 25 hours. And then you've got Jerry Nadler right there in the middle, up there at the top, drooling on the lady next to him, and he is snoozing. Now, I don't know about you, I actually kind of keep an eye on the people next to me when I'm at some kind of an event. I don't know if this is just a Midwestern thing. I like, nudge people and talk to them during the hearing. Maybe that's, I don't know, maybe it's why I always got in trouble for talking during school. I would have, you know, jostled and be like, hey, chair, it's 11:30am Dude. But no staffer has to come out and wake up the elderly. I'm sleeping on camera. I didn't even know the phonograph was pointed at me. All right, that was, believe it or not, the most normal thing in this particular committee because then we got to the performances, and I mean performances left and right. You don't actually bring Pam Bonnie before you answer questions. You bring her before you to yell at you. So first we've got Thomas Massie, Republican from Kentucky. He's very mad about Epstein file release stuff because he spent all this time with Ro Khanna not voting on anything useful but just like really angry about stuff. Dragging performances out as long as he can. Here we go.
Did you ask me Merrick Garland that the last four years. Did you talk about Epstein?
I am reclaiming my time. I'm glad you're asking about Merrick Garland time when you don't. All righty. So Pam Bondi showed up unlike again a lot of individuals who show up before committee who just answer questions quietly. She's like, you know what? I'm going to match the energy. And so immediately we get into full on fisticuffs yelling rules of order are thrown out. Jim Jordan looks as though he's about to take shots of bleach. Here we go.
When I don't answer questions.
This goes over four administrations. You don't have to go back to Biden. Let's go back to Obama. Let's go back to George Bush. This cover up spans decades. That's a wild statement to make. That's a wild statement to make as though George W. And Condi Rice were sitting there while Dick Cheney was off shooting people on hunting trips. And we're going yeah, that Jeffrey Epstein guy down. And for let's move a bunch of things aside to cover up. There's not a lot of evidence for that. Not even in the the allegations through all of these anonymous tips that they brought in. Now again, this continues. There's some slapping back and forth respond and then the gentleman can move to within 40 minutes.
You asked me a question within 40 minutes Wexner's name was added back within.
40 minutes of me catching you red handed.
Red hand. There was one redaction where he's listed.
As a co conspirator and we ah yes, flirting among junior hires. A very curious thing to watch as children learn to engage with members of the opposite sex. Ted Lieu just busted a vessel. Democrat representative from California. He just straightened. Accusing people of committing crimes. You can't do that. I want to make this clear you can't do that. But here you go because I believe you just lied under oath. There is ample evidence in the Epstein.
Don'T you ever accuse me of a crime.
I believe you just lied. And then Bondi responds again, I am going to say I don't care if you think this is mean. I don't care if Representative who cares is going to call this misogynistic. Americans want the calm airline Pilot at the head of the plane to speak over the intercom. When you go speak before the House of Representatives, it is better for you to be a Marco Rubio or a Todd Lyons or a Secretary Brooke Rollins or a. Than to meet them on their energy. This is what they want. They want to show. Because then the media can say, oh, she was getting really emotional. She must be guilty. And this is all on videotape. You said there's no evidence of crime. I'm showing you. Here is a witness statement who called into the FBI's Threat Operation Center. He drove Donald Trump around in a limo. He overheard what Donald Trump said to Jeffrey on his cell phone. He was so angry. He was going to stop a limo and hurt Donald Trump. Okay, so Lou brings forward this piece of really strong, incredible evidence. We're gonna talk to Greg Price about why this is not really the wind that he thinks that it is. Although, man, he is certainly parading it around as one every time we hit a show milestone. We gotta go back to the guy who was on the very first episode.
Matt Davis
Good.
Tony Kennett
Longtime friend Greg Price, of course, you may know him from his excellent work. And the Trump war room, of course, rapid response manager. Excellent stuff over there. But now Parabellum Strategies, the man is overhauling everything for the midterm. Greg, how's it going?
Greg Price
Good, man. Good to be with you. Congratulations on 500 episodes. That's awesome.
Tony Kennett
We'll keep dragging you back here until they throw us off the air. We'll. We'll find out, but no thanks. Let's talk about these hearings. You drag Pam Bondi before big Department of Justice hearing in the House. Everybody's got to do their little podcast audition. What did you think of this?
Greg Price
Yeah, I mean, hearings have just like become the most theatrical and completely useless spectacles of all time. Like, it's just. And it's not even like a left versus right thing. It's these people on both sides are just looking for their viral moment or looking to go viral on the Internet. There's like nothing productive that ever comes out of it. And, you know, with, with the amount of attention that's been on the DOJ for various amount of issues ranging from the Epstein files to everything going on with indictments and ice. You knew that all of these really stupid theatrics were going to happen today.
Tony Kennett
I want to get your take on this one particular clip from Pramila Japal.
Today, Attorney General Bondi, you apologize to the survivors in your opening statement for what they went through at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein, will you turn to them now and apologize for what your Department of Justice has put them through with the UN Absolutely unacceptable release of the Epstein files and their information.
What do you think of that?
Greg Price
She's demanding that she apologizes because there was, like, some personal information about alleged victims of Epstein in the Epstein disclosures that were released by the doj. And it's like, okay, first they're accusing the DOJ of covering up the Epstein files and trying to protect pedophiles. Now she's demanding that she apologizes for releasing too much of the Epstein files. But, like, this was always the problem with this, with this law that Massie and Khanna have been pushing from the beginning, which is when you mass release government documents like this, it's. You release so much of it, millions of things come out. You have things ranging from FBI tips, from schizo freaks making weird accusations, sensationalist accusations.
Tony Kennett
The crackhead at the Speedway gas station has got some deep insights on things that they dreamed a couple weeks ago.
Greg Price
Like. Like anybody can call the FBI and say anything, and they have to write it down, but you have, like, things from that ranging from that to people's personal information, like what they're complaining about today. And so this was always the problem with this law from the beginning, that so much was going to be released that it just becomes impossible to tell what's real and what isn't anymore.
Tony Kennett
So you posted this, I think, back in December, that Ted Lieu, representative from California. He's sitting next to Pramilla while she's yelling about the soup that she ordered to Pam Bondi. He gets out there and displays this sensationalist FBI tip that came out a week before the 2020 election from an alleged limo driver who claimed he overheard President Trump talking about abusing young girls with Epstein back in 1995. He then cut a little something off of the tip below it that may question some of the credibility. Tell us about this.
Greg Price
Yeah, it was just, again, it's somebody calling. It's a random person calling the FBI and saying stuff. And he makes all of these crazy accusations about how, like, he overheard Trump in a limo talking about things he was doing with Epstein and that somebody, some other, like, victim, committed suicide or something. And then the tip goes on to end with accusing Hillary Clinton of doing the Oklahoma City bombing. And so Ted Lieu must have missed that part, I guess. But this is now the. This is now the very serious things that members of Congress are reading into the Congressional Record, apparently.
Tony Kennett
And this is what I want to dive into. Regarding social media, because you and I, we look at how people take certain tweets, certain posts right after an event is going on. You got to get out there at the social media. You got to get on a good face. You don't want to make any missteps, don't want to step on any landmines. I don't know who's running the Democrat account. You probably do with your wide reaching connections and your experience in this. They are taking like, Epstein hates Donald Trump. And they are flipping that around to go, hey, you know what's really bad? Epstein hated Donald Trump. And they pass it off like that's some kind of a dunk. I don't know. They've done that like four times now. Can you imagine how quickly you would have been canned if you tried to pass off something really good as, like, the worst thing in the world?
Greg Price
Yeah. They hate Donald Trump so much that they're now turning to Epstein as their judge of character.
Tony Kennett
Strange new respect.
Greg Price
It's like, oh, actually, you know, they've been trying so hard to connect Donald Trump to Epstein's crimes. They've now, they've, it's now been, they've now revealed that not only did Epstein hate Trump, but Trump was the only rich guy calling the police about Jeffrey Epstein. But yeah, I mean, like, just a hallmark of like, what you should, what people should know about when you, when you read a tweet from a, from a Democrat member of Congress or the Senate is they are not the ones writing it. It's some, it's some random person in their 20s who, and, and I'm just amazed at, like, it's hard to find good digital people in general, no matter what side of the aisle you're on. But I've, I've never, it's never ceases to amaze me just how stupid and untalented the people who do digital for them, for Democrat members of Congress are.
Tony Kennett
I mean, you got to pair them up next to some of these, you know, writers, or should I say former writers over from like, the washing post or of course, outlets over, like, Axio saying, despite Trump's clampdown on crime, crime has gone down in major cities. They don't read these things before they post them or if they do, I don't know if it's just disingenuous and stupid or if it's just so malicious it's embarrassing, like, comic villain.
Greg Price
Well, even when there's good news, they try to make it seem like bad news. But with things like, you know, one of the largest drops in murder rates in the history of our country. It's really hard to turn that into bad news. And then when they try, they end up with an egg on their face in the case of Axios, like that. But yes, it's not hard to put two and two together of why the murder rate is dropping in this country. We have a federal administration again that actually believes in law and order.
Tony Kennett
Again, crazy concepts, but it is good to see things continually being done. Greg Price, Parabellum Strategies, the mastermind behind not embarrassing yourself on social media. That's right. The man who defines that common sense himself. Always good to check in with you. Thanks for coming back for the 500th.
Greg Price
Thank you, Tony. Congrats again.
Tony Kennett
All right. Now let's talk a little bit more about the Bondi stuff. Ted Lieu has come out since he alleged again that there's all of this new incredible evidence that gets Trump again the same testimony where they're like, Hillary Clinton did the Oklahoma City bombing and Bigfoot tap dances. He's now come out to say, I knew what I was doing and I'm always right. Congressman, what's your reaction to Pam Bondi and her testimony so far in the hearing? Pam Bondi lied under oath. She said there was no evidence of wrongdoing in the Epstein files of Donald Trump. That's just a lie. There's multiple documents that show wrongdoing of Donald Trump. I show, by the way, it is worth pointing out that even other than media's touch, which is just some little left wing social media posting group, that there are a few left wing outlets, major ones, the New York Times, Washington Post, all the way over to for like, like tech outlets like wired through the mainstream like CNN, Ms. now that have said, yeah, there's no evidence that Trump has actually done anything here. Again, there are things that are very much worth taking a look at. Dying on this Hill is just weird. A witness had called in FBI's National Threat Operations center and reported evidence of a crime committed by Donald Trump. And no and then also accuse Hillary Clinton of doing the OKC bombing. Read my dude or don't maliciously crop stuff out. At least we got to bring the radio crew back. Don't go anywhere. A lot of stuff tonight, it's the Tony Kinnick cast here on the Daily Signal. Bingo. It's the Tony Kennett cast with special guest Rob Bluey, a very special 500th episode version of the Bluey theme song. And Rob Bluey here from our nation's beautiful capital in one Muddy, icy February to give us the latest out of the sewer. Rob, how's it going?
Rob Bluey
I'm doing well. Congratulations, Tony. 500 shows, it's quite a milestone. We're proud of you and glad to be working with you on a daily basis to bring this great material to our audience. So well done, sir.
Tony Kennett
Thank you very much. Speaking of well done, those jobs numbers, my goodness, what a slam. Tell us, tell us all about it.
Rob Bluey
Absolutely. So this is one of the things that you and I feel like been talking about for weeks, if not months. Right? Let's wait until, let's have some patience. Let them go. Right. We know that things did not look great in 2025. There was still a lot of recovery and cleanup to do from the disastrous four years of Joe Biden. But yeah, the jobs numbers come out. It shows that 130,000 non farm payroll jobs were added, beating expectations. The Heritage Foundation's economist E.J. antoni has pointed out on X, the thing about this particular jobs report, it shows that these are full time jobs. These are high quality jobs. Whereas in the past, previous presidents might tout a big number, but they were a lot of part time jobs, which meant that either Americans weren't working the full 40 hours a week or they were having to double up and maybe have two or three part time jobs just to make ends meet. So you want people in full time jobs. So great news overall for the economy.
Tony Kennett
This is the one thing that really gets me that I think our outside the Beltway listeners are going to appreciate. Although of course we do love our inside the Beltway listeners as well, like shout out to Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin. But the job growth numbers from the public sector compared to the private sector here, government versus non government. In January of 2025, right before Trump takes office, we saw just over 25,000 government jobs added, but about 75,000 total private sector jobs that were lost. Now we're looking at the new job numbers here for January of 2026 and it's almost 175,000 private sector jobs gained while almost 50,000 government jobs are gone. I'm sorry, am I supposed to feel bad? Maybe I'm smiling too much about it.
Rob Bluey
Well, I don't want to give you or your team too much work, but you should put some of those charts on the screen so the audience can see the dramatic decline under President Trump when it comes to jobs. And in fact, I think some of that can be obviously attributable to Doge and the EFF efforts to trim and make the Government more efficient. That's a good thing. But also this president, he understands that where you really turn the economy around is when you have the private sector growth. As you indicated, Tony, it's not creating these government jobs. And let's face it, the government, both at the federal level, state and local level, has become far too bloated. And we shouldn't become dependent on these jobs because a Democrat president like Joe Biden wanted to juice the numbers, and that's exactly what he was doing. The other thing that we need to remember about public sector jobs, jobs are, first, they're going to likely increase inflation because it means more government spending, which is the significant driver of inflation. And secondly, you have these employees who end up going into public sector unions, and it makes it very difficult to actually terminate them or fire them. So it's basically like a professor with tenure. You can never get rid of them.
Tony Kennett
Yeah, heads, heads you win. Tails I lose kind of a situation. So moving on from that, obviously want to focus on those particular numbers, big votes that are coming down the line. The latest iteration of the SAVE act, the Save America act, voter ID nationwide passed a major procedural vote by just a hair in the House of Representatives. The question that I have now is, as we get ready to see this hit a final House vote and then over to the Senate, is Thune now annoyed enough with the left and their claims that women and black people and poor people are all too stupid to get voter idiots? Is he annoyed enough now to allow the vocal filibuster, the talking filibuster, to happen? Watch Cory Booker yell for a while or what do you think?
Rob Bluey
I hope he does. The performance of the Democrats in the House today was so embarrassing to hear them try to argue against this 8020 issue, 80% of Americans and thinking over 70% of Democrats support voter ID and the provisions that are in the Save America Act. To hear these Democrats line up and try to make a case against this, I think just shows how out of step they are with the broader American people, particularly those who are probably going to decide the outcome of the 2026 midterm election. So I think that John Thune would be wise to give the microphone to Cory Booker, let him go out of soapbox and talk about why this is such a terrible bill, and the American people will just be shaking their heads and realizing that he's sounding like a fool, because it's just common sense to have an ID when you go to vote.
Tony Kennett
So I think two things are kind of interesting here. Built on what it is that you say, first of all, Americans realizing we're seeing more and more Americans that are paying attention over the long term. The last two to three years, this is something we've covered over at the Daily Signal. Americans paying attention to, for example, the prior claims made by Chuck Schumer that It's Jim Crow 2.0. It's like the 13th time he's made that claim in the last couple of years. But this idea of the more moderate Republicans getting annoyed after being poked, poked, poked repeatedly by the most outlandish things suggested because Trump's a boisterous guy, he gets out there, he says some things that are, well, they're, they're rather, they're out there, you know, they're, they're forceful. All right, he, he gets out there and says, you know what he says? He means these moderate Republicans who may not like that, like Chief Justice John Roberts, for example. He's more annoyed by the insanity from the far left where he finally says, you know what? Fine, I'm ruling with Trump. I think we could see Thune finally say, you know what? Fine, let's bring it up.
Rob Bluey
I think you're right. I don't know. I can't get in John Thune's mind and tell you exactly what he's thinking. I think basically he has the two options. He can bring this up under the status quo, the way they normally do things. He'll probably pick up maybe two or three, maybe more Democrats, but it'll fall short of the 60 that he needs. He'll get to go back to the conservative to base and say, hey, I gave you a vote. You asked for a vote. I gave you a vote. It failed. There's nothing more I can do or what you're talking about. Yes, he can invoke the two speech rule. He can make sure the Democrats hold the floor. And when they tire, Republicans need to have the stamina here now to carry this out through the end. When the Democrats get tired of talking about this or they realize what a political loser it is, Thune could actually prevail and this could find its way to President Trump's desk.
Tony Kennett
You know what? We'll send in the donuts and coffee to the Senate like they always do. You know, they can bring their Dunkin. We'll send over some jacks from Indiana will have us a good time. Rob Boulouy, president of the Daily Signal, thanks for giving us a bit of insight from the wonderful Sewer of Washington, D.C. thanks, Tony.
Rob Bluey
It's great to see you and congrats again on number 500.
Tony Kennett
All right. Let's talk just briefly about some of the other news that is hitting before we get to some of the rest of the committee hearing stuff and some of the cultural things. First of all, on this job numbers, the media reaction to this is one of stunned excitement perhaps would be that would be the right way to put it. I'm not sure that I've ever seen reactions like this over on cnbc on.
Rob Bluey
Farm payrolls for January coming in twice expectations at 130,000, 130K. That would be the juiciest going back to April of last year when it was 158.
Tony Kennett
Now, the way the man said juiciest, it sounds as though he bit into a Georgia peach in the summertime. Those are some good looking numbers and they're going to have to be because as we look ahead to tax season, that's when Americans are going to start forming their opinions about the midterm. The polling right now, as David Marcus over at Fox points out, good friend of the show, excellent columnist, the polling numbers at least, for example, Rasmussen points out voters at least 44% of Republicans think that Republicans are going to keep control of the House. Democrats, 40% likely to retain control of the House. The polls are everywhere. They're just everywhere. They're up, down, Republicans, Democrats. It's too early to tell, but there was one tried and true piece of information regarding midterms. The party that is the cockiest, that is the most arrogant, the we have this in the bag crowd heading into the midterms is going to get spanked like an awful child throwing a fit at Walmart. And they deserve to be because hubris is at essence, the greatest issue in American politics. The hubris of the individual, not for the country. Radio crew, we're going to send you over to the commercial break and talk about those on the live stream that are testing the national pride of the country. It's the Tony Kenneth cast here on the Daily Signal. This morning I had a wonderful privilege of waking up to a slightly different ringtone that I don't normally wake up to. And that was to provide notice to me of a notam N o T a M. So a notam, a notice to air mission is a specific kind of alert that is sent out from the Federal Aviation Administration and the Department of War notifying the broader part of the country. Media starting to pick up on it that the entire El Paso airspace, so the El Paso airport and the surrounding airspace was not just temporarily closed, it was dead bolt lockdown completely shut under NTL defense airspace for 10 days. That was the original alert. Now the alert only ended up lasting for a few hours. This from the notice sent out pursuant to 49 U.S. code 4103B and 3. The FAA classifies the airspace defined in this Nodam as NTL Defense airspace. Pilots who do not adhere to the following proclamation may be intercepted, detained and interviewed by law enforcement. Any of the following actions may also be taken against a pilot who doesn't comply. The FAA may take administrative action. That means sending your license to the forbidden zone, including imposing civil penalties. And there you go. Suspension or revocation of those precious airmen certificates. Or B, the United States government may pursue criminal charges. And then it lists the code. C. The United States government may use deadly force against the airborne craft if it is determined that the craft poses an imminent security threat and then outlines 911 style laws and security instructions. One by the way, which goes all the way back to right after Pearl Harbor. So very, very, very interesting stuff. Again, not something that has happened in our history in this way since 9 11. And El Paso was an interesting airport because it's six hours from one major city, eight hours from another major city. Not a lot of regional airports that can handle large traffic in the area. And it is right next to good old Fort Bliss, which I'm quite fond of. Now that is where not only a particularly great army air base is, I think we actually have the map of this particular region here. Make sure that I pull up the correct one. Yep. So you can see Fort Bliss is, or excuse me, not Fort Bliss, Fort Biggs Army Airfield right above El Paso International Airport. Kind of a weird thing. Kind of a weird thing. Fort Bliss, Biggs Army Airfield right above El Paso. There were all kinds of rumors that were flying around immediately. And this brings us to the key pieces of information. Now I'm gonna level with you as someone who has viewed the footage due to some special clearances that I'm probably not really comfortable talking about on air yet. I tried so hard to get you the footage of one of the cartel drones which were taken down. But regarding this particular region, civilian aircraft were grounded and then the Mexican, the north Mexican airspace was informed. Anything that happens to civilian or military craft in the next couple of hours, we're not responsible for. And they said that with that 10 day warning. Now we do have to bring the radio crew back from commercial. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to lead you on with a tease. We're going to cover what happened and the Good, the bad, the interesting. Don't go anywhere. It's the last commercial break we got to bring them back from. It's the Tony Kennett cast here on the Daily Signal. This is the Tony Kennett cast on 93 WIBC. Lots of news to cover. We'll talk about some of the updates on ICE Data in just a couple of minutes. Of course, Pam Bondi's hearing to get to a lot of other cultural stuff happening. The situation regarding the transgender shooter in Canada, but the situation regarding the United States via the phenomenal crew over at Fort Bliss, of course, Biggs Army Airfield, taking down two cartel drones that were operating in United States airspace. The Mexican cartels, the Sinaloa cartel specifically has pushed and pushed and pushed by sending reconnaissance drones that are as small as the tiny vertical takeoff drone craft that you have seen for sale on Amazon and in your local supermarkets, all the way up to RQ7s, RQ7 betas, and cheap Chinese knockoffs of what are essentially small army. I say small, really about the size laying flat of a refrigerator. Ish. Probably a bad comparison. RQ7 reconnaissance drones bought off Chinese copycat aftermarkets to fly, not to intercept American craft, not, for example, to strap an explosive device on, although certainly that could be a possibility. They have used those drones to assess the movements of U.S. border Patrol, immigration Customs Enforcement, National Guardsmen, and active army and Army Reserves on the border. Now, the Chinese have been practicing little bits and pieces of this for ages. There was a lot of suspicion in the State Department that the communist Chinese government is giving direct intelligence on drone operation and flight techniques and maneuvers to the cartels. At least some of the pattern tracking that we have analyzed, kind of like how the drones have moved, have shown to be concurrent, similar to how Chinese drone operations appear to be engaging in training exercises in the field. I think I'm allowed to say that on air, at least in this particular instance, the drones were taken down in two ways. So first of all, one of the electronic countermeasures was deployed and essentially fired a very nice laser to fry the drone. Now, I'm going to level with you. This ain't Star Wars. Although it is somewhat close to Reagan's Star wars initiative. There are two purposes to an energy weapon. The first purpose to an energy weapon is not to melt the craft. It is to interfere very heavily with the communication to the drone. So the weakest part of a drone is not actually the physical craft. The weakest part of any drone, including pre programmed, quote, unquote, suicide drones, are the communication. And reckoning systems inside the drone that have to communicate either with some type of reckoning information to say, hey, here's where I am, here's how to avoid countermeasures per se. Birds. Even some of the communication for some of the European military drone series has some interesting information regarding avoiding small craft and certain birds off the coast of Africa. And no, I'm not talking about the swallow. But in regard to electronic countermeasures with drones, knocking out its communication with home base is a very, very big deal. So one of the drones was taken down in that way. The second drone was taken down by a good old fashioned surface to air style explosive. That's what I asked for a recording of and was told no, I'm sorry, it exists. It's really, really cool. The United States does not suffer from the same fears that the Russian and the Ukrainians and the Chinese do our countermeasures for drones. This is something that I explicitly asked Secretary of the Navy Phelan in Fort Wayne a couple of weeks ago. The United States Air Force, Navy and Army, especially the crew down at Fort Bliss, also over at Lackland, is doing phenomenal work in drone countermeasures. What you know about, I can say this. What you know about is like 20, 30, 40 years old. this point. We've got some truly cool things in the United States and the Department of War are doing some excellent stuff. And the United States is in fact on the hop. You say, well, why do they issue a 10 day warning and then release the alert a couple of hours later? Well, the answer is because the last time that we shot at a particular suspected craft, it appeared to be a party balloon. So earlier this week, the electronic warfare energy weapon was used to shoot down what appeared to be a foreign drone. It turned out to be a party balloon. And this time the FAA didn't screw around. Basically said, hey, well if you misidentified a drone and ended up being a balloon, what happens if you end up frying a Piper Cub or perhaps a Cessna in the air? That's going to look really, really, really bad. So they issued an air blockage. Everyone land right now, nobody in the sky. If you're up in the air, then it's between you and the Lord and the operator at the switch, whatever 15 whiskey is holding the trigger at that point. So that said, interesting stuff. The United States ramping up operations against the cartel defensively. Nothing on troop movements. I know there's been a lot of rumors, for example, that have gone around. I believe one that showed I Want to see if I can get this clip here suggesting that there was this level of drones you can see on the top of the screen. Oh, look at these. All of these dots of drones that are flying. That's the cartel. No, guys, foreign operation drones like the cartel, they don't fly. Oh hey, I'm in the air. Lights. They don't. They don't fly. Those. That's higher elevation near El Paso. Boys, girls and squirrels and tower lights to keep planes from smacking into the side of your friendly local mountain at night. So that aside, we'll move to some of the other big news, that being the shooting. The Tumblr Ridge shooting in Canada has not only now been identified. 35 who were shot, 10 who were killed has now been confirmed by the police as a 17 year old trans claiming trans identifying individual, a male by the name of Jesse Van Root Salar. So before I get to that particular clip of the police in Canada finally getting around to confirming it, I want to say a quick thank you to the radio crew who has to go in a second. Thank you very much for sticking with us here at the Tony Kenneth cast for 500 episodes. We're honored to get to do this. Especially thankful to our audience in 93 WIBC in Indianapolis. Thank you guys very much for giving us our start. We're going to continue on the live stream for a good while. We got all kinds of news to cover. I'm not tired, at least not yet. So join us over there, YouTube.com daily signal or rumble.com thedailysignal or you know, Google Tony Kinnidcast wherever your favorite streaming service rests. A lot of exciting stuff coming up in the future. We're not going to dig into that now. In fact, I'll give you guys that fantastic radio sign off per FCC regs. It's the Tony Kinnitcast here on the Daily Signal, nationally syndicated and first on 93 WIBC. All right, now that all the nerds are away in their precious post show commercial break, we can look at what Canadian government the Mounties have finally got around to identifying. So here was that particular clip from today. Well, first off, thank you for your question. We're not hiding it. In fact, you're the first media to ask the question. We'll get to that claim made by the officer in a second. I will say this. We identify the suspect as they chose to be identified in public and in social media. I can say that Jesse was born as a biological male who approximately. The information that I have approximately 60 years ago, began to transition to female and identified as female both socially and publicly. Now, what the Mountie was getting at this particular officer. There were a lot of allegations that initially the Canadian police had hidden the identity of the Tumblr Ridge shooter. They said for privacy reasons. I'm in a level with you. I don't care how old the individual is. If you commit an explicitly violent, heinous crime, you have thrown away your right to privacy just like you have thrown away your right to freedom. Him, you've thrown that away. You have exchanged your rights away when you took the rights of someone else, especially permanently. That's why all of those soft handed arguments of, well, there's still value to their life. If it's a rapist, no, it's. No, no, there's no value there. Hang them. And the same with this particular individual here, this Jesse Van Root seller. All of these media outlets started running out and suggesting, oh, 10 dead. After a woman opens fire at a high school in Canada. That's from Detroit. The standard nine killed by female npr. A woman police believed to be the shooter was also killed. Modern diplomacy, the St. Albert Gazette, people Yahoo News bulletin. Several outlets have latched onto the idea, hey, here you go, female school shooter here. Now, as a, as a side note, I do want to point out there are not a lot of female school shooters. Very, very, very, very, very few of them. But the two most recent ones in a very long time have both been trans. So we do have some of the clip information. This is provided to us from our friend, independent reporter Nick. You can see the guy practicing some firearms. We'll play that again here. He was on a particular subreddit for transgenderism saying, you know, how do I stop comparing myself to fictional characters? You know, I'm a male to female. This whole post of the individual here, mentally unstable individuals, all right, transgender people who are by definition mentally unstable should not be affirmed to lean into the mental illness. You get situations that are just like this. And it is a fact, by the way, that there are media outlets, at least five here in front of me, which did reach out to the Royal Canadian Mountain Police, whatever, they got the, the RCMP and said, hey, why are you protecting the identity of the shooter? Why are you calling this individual a female? Why are you hiding the identity? You say you're protecting them from privacy readings. Why are you hiding that from us? And they were left unanswered. So the officer saying, oh, you're the first person to ask this question is a bold faced lie. And when you choose to withhold information for reasons that make no legal sense, there's no statute in Canada. Admittedly, the statutes in Canada are more fluid than, you know, water in the summer. But in this particular instance, there's no law that says they have to hide the identity of the shooter. Absolutely not. They chose to do so in this particular instance because of the transgender narrative that they are desperate, desperate to run away from. So I got a horrible situation. Terrible stuff. It is. It is truly a disgusting situation. The continual affirmation being the very first thing on everyone's mind saying that, oh, well, we don't want to say anything about transgender stuff. We don't want to talk about mental illness. Actually, what we need to say is, what was the shooter bullied into it? Or maybe you just addressed the mental illness. Canada doesn't want to do that. Canada says, absolutely not. You might offend some leftist middle aged woman. And that, of course, is the ultimate thing that you want to be afraid of. And again, that's, of course, what the Democrats here in this country are continually trying to press. Now for the bonus tone of section, I want to dive back a little bit into this hearing today with Pam Bondi. There was a particular photo that is going around, getting a lot of traction is a very damning, super incredible photo, one that will live on forever, I'm being told. And this photo is Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is sitting at the witness or the. The hearing desk. And then behind are the alleged Epstein survivors who stood up at the prompting of one of the committee members, and they raised their hands and they looked at her, and the committee members said, look at them. Look at it. Look at them. Won't you look them in the eyes again? Because they're making the case that she and she alone is responsible for all of these evils. And I find this really, really gross. No, not Pam Bondi here. I have my gripes with Pam Bondi. This ain't one of them. Part of the theater, because it's all theater of these particular committees is saying, look, there are Capitol police officers behind them. Won't you look at them? Won't you look at them? Because if you turn and look at them, then that's an admission of guilt. It's all theater. And by the way, as Greg Price points out earlier, any one of these women and the dude standing at any time can go file a police report detailing all of the crimes that were allegedly committed against them by Epstein's alleged clients. There is no statute of limitations on that. They can Also, at any point, just name the names of people who allegedly victimized them. They can't be sued for defamation. They can't. They can come right out and say it. And none of them do. Instead, they're parading around the Capitol as a political show against the attorney general, who, unlike the last one, is presiding over a Department of justice that is releasing millions of documents about Epstein. Now, do I like the way the documents have been rolled out? Nope. Absolutely not. As we talked about with Greg Price, Pramila Jayapal, getting out in front of the country and saying, how could you just release all of these files right after a couple of months ago, saying, you need to release all these files. Trying to have it both ways and doing a lot of performative nonsense did frustrate Bondi. I will say she did come back later and gripe at the rest of the committee. Do I think it showed a lot of excellence from her? I don't know. You have to decide for yourself. Here's Bondi complaining later at the committee.
Have you apologized to President Trump? Have you apologized to President Trump? All of you who participated in those impeachment hearings against Donald Trump, you all should be apologizing. You sit here and you attack the president and I am not going to have it. I'm not going to put up with it.
You know, I'm sorry. I don't care if you're on the left. I don't care if you're on the right. Pearls I do not care for. How dare you. Language. I don't. And by the way, I agree with her. Democrats like Ted Lieu, like many others, have gotten out ahead of their skis and said a lot of things that according to the documents and the files that we now have, show the president was not involved in nothing that we have yet. And those six names, totally one of them was going to be Trump, turned out to be a bunch of billionaires that I'm going to be honest with you, I've never heard of. Now, I don't have, like the trading cards for billionaires. I'll trade you your Xanatar Begoblius for an Elon Musk. I don't know all the names of the billionaires like Bonnie Santos and his wish list of love, but I didn't know any of them. I know Howard Lutnick is in trouble. Secretary of Commerce, because apparently he and his family stopped by the island for an hour to have lunch and there was some yelling from Chris Van Hollen. Okay, all right. Questions to be answered. Sure. But the performative have you apologized? That's not doing it. Who are you convincing? Who are you convincing? The conservatives that agree with you Already agree with you. I already agree with you. You don't need to do the how dare you. It's all performative camera stuff. I just don't think it's effective. I do. It is far better for you to look in there like a disinterested, bored adult who is annoyed for the 800th time with hearing the tattletailing gooberishness of children and treat them as they are acting as children rather than stooping to their level. Now, sometimes it is very deserved. For example, here's Attorney General Pam Bondi slamming Representative Jamie Raskin, who just ignores all rules of the committee like all of them do, and is throwing his toys around like a kid in a stroller being handed the ice cream that he didn't want. So here was Bondi's reaction to this. You can let her filibuster all day long, but not on our watch. Not on my watch. I'm Super Sheriff Jamie Rashkin. I'm rootin tootin ready for shootin'. Not on my watch. Not me, Captain Raskarika. No, sir. She's filibustering. It's a committee hearing, Homie. You asked her questions. She gets to answer however she wants. Not on our time. No way. I told you about that Attorney General before you started.
You don't tell me.
Oh, I did tell you. We're getting to the earring taking off stage at the committee. You don't tell me. I am gonna tell you. We're gonna bring Madea in there and just start smacking people's heads together like coconuts. You're paying for this, by the way. You're paying for every part of this. Because we saw what you did in the Senate.
Lawyer. Not even a lawyer.
Many will be in order. Poor Jim Jordan. Jim Jordan, my man, I hope you had a stiff drink this evening. When the. When the Independent Fundamental Baptist wishes you a stiff drink. You know, it's been a rough one for you, like. All right, everyone, settle down. Put down the meatloaf and the mashed potatoes. Calm down. You. You put down that small child. I mean, I. Goodness gracious. Jasmine Crockett. Of course, she has to go on a big rant. It doesn't really make any sense, but it's a lot of tut tutting. As is Jasmine Crockett's want. Brand new accent, exciting stuff again. Crockett unveils a new black scent about once a Week. Very good one, Valerie.
While in office, the fact of the matter is that you will be remembered as one of the worst attorney generals in history. An attorney general who has prioritized obstruction over justice, corruption over the law, fealty to the president over loyalty to the Constitution. And Mr. Chairman, I will yield.
I will yield after the chairman. The chairman has reached the point where he's like, please, please stop asking. Ridiculous. I do appreciate that she pronounced the word prioritized as though it's a new medicine commercial. Ask your doctor about prioritized. Excellent stuff. Here, of course, was Bondi's response to Crockett, who then, realizing that she had been out angry, ladied, then got up and stormed out. So we are now doing that old reality show with the Jenners where they would yell at each other performatively and then storm out of the room in their own house just to walk back in a few minutes later. Here you go.
Thank you, Congressman. Thank you, my friend. For many years. I find it interesting that she didn't even want to try Congresswoman Crockett to ask any questions.
Okay, point of rules of order. You're not supposed to go. You're not supposed to address people directly. No one cares anymore. The Roberts rules of order are a joke. They're doing the nod. Representative Jasmine Crock. Okay.
Because she certainly did not condemn her leader, Hakeem Jeffries for.
Jasmine's doing the. The back and forth head wobble where someone knows they're being talked about, but they're aware they're on camera. They want to show they're doing something. So she's doing, like, the I got water in my ears routine, which is exciting.
Taking money from Jeffrey Epstein after Epstein was convicted.
Somebody's Facebook notification chiming over the microphone.
And I will be brief to give you your time, Congressman. This is what she didn't want to talk about. Texas from Cuba, convicted homicide, arson, weapon, offense, convicted. So what we talking about, convict some of these perpetrators that rape these women.
That are sitting the committee chair, Sounds the Facebook notification. Your time has run out again. Very exciting.
Acknowledge they are here.
Time belongs. And she storms out from Kansas in her Mickey Mouse pants. Can I have a few seconds back to make up for the. And then. And then you have committee members going like Oliver Twist to Jim Jordan. Please, sir, can I have some more minutes? Like it's rollover Time for AT&T the end of the month. Incredible. Beautiful. So glad we're paying for this. Aren't you enjoying it? Because, guys, it is all about the performance now, if they're not going to do it in there, they're just going to do it elsewhere. Here's Adam Schiff doing the cell phone and influencer videos. Aren't you glad that, like, this has become the way that we do things? So Adam Schiff, who either looks like he's about to tell you a makeup tutorial, a funny story that he heard at work today, or doing one of these political influencer videos formed in portrait sitting in his car, he's going to tell you how it is. Here you go. This is, I think, about trying to indict members of Congress, he says, for speaking truth to power. Also, you know, committing offenses like violating the, you know, Uniform Code of Conduct, that kind of stuff. But anyway, last night we got the news that the Justice Department tried to indict six members of Congress, two senators, Alyssa Slotkin and Mark Kelly, and four House members for producing a video in which they said that you can refuse illegal orders. It is hard to overstate the significance of this abuse of power by the Justice Department. And he goes on for another minute like that, not saying anything and just this is abusive. It is bad. I don't like it. I don't care for it. I am mad. I am Adam Schiff. Every issue is now going to be like that. Here's Tim McBride, who goes by Sarah, the representative from Delaware, also doing a little influencery video this time about tariffs and not mad about tariffs on Americans. He's, he's mad that tariffs hurt Canadians. You know, Delaware, Canada, very popular destination. We all know by now that last year Donald Trump imposed widespread, reckless and lawless tariffs not only on our competitors, but on our allies and our partners, police. Oh, man. He, he imposed tariffs on our allies. Like Canada. Like Canada. Oh, no. Oh, man. If you're going to make the pitch against tariffs to the American people, start with Americans. End with Americans whining about Canadians in your, your magenta suit. Adam Zappa, Bobbin. These illegal tariffs imposed without congressional authority, violating the Constitution, imposed a nationwide sales tax on the American people with the everyday family paying sixteen hundred dollars more on average in costs a year. Okay, so that last little bit is not technically true, the sales tax thing. Yeah, that is true in a lot of ways, unless the company eats the price. Some of them are. Some of them aren't. Also. This one's a little bit late. The Supreme Court is currently deciding this particular authority of the president of the United States because the world has changed. It has changed. Congress can't negotiate tariff decisions anymore behind closed doors. Everything's leaked in public immediately. So if tariffs are going to be used as a method of negotiation with other countries. Congress has been undermined by technology of the day. It has. So the Supreme Court's reviewing it and coming out again. If you're gonna focus on certain things, don't do it in the influencer video. Get out there on the floor of Congress and have the debate, make the discussion. You can file a motion. You're a member of Congress. You don't have to do the videos that I would make walking through the hall. Hey guys, Tony Kennett here. Notice I'm not wearing magenta or dressed like a woman. You don't have to get out there and do the video. I'll do the video videos. I'm in the media. I'll do the broadcasting. You do the work that you told people you were going to run to Washington and do instead of, you know, the music videos and the performative whatever from, from both sides of the aisle, but a lot right now because they're not the party in power from the Democrats and it's just so silly. So hope you're ready for an entire midterm election season that is being run by, by 4 and 2, just the influencer crowd, but who are about five years late to the trend. Really weird, awkward, strange, for sure. But I mean, hey, I certainly don't want to get in the way of, you know, their excitement. I mean, I guess it could be, I don't know if I want to call this better or worse. It could be like it is in other parliaments where they just get into open fist fights. Here, here's Turkey today, I believe, just a wild brawl opening up in Turkey in their parliament. Yeah, fisticuffs. Give him the chair. Give him the chair. I love it. I love it. It's, it's good time. You, you thought we were in like a super serious. This is why when people get out there and start crying about democracy and rolling back in time, no one believes them. No one believes them. That matters, by the way, because if you're going to make claims, then they need to be accurate. They need to be appropriate based on the room around you. People don't respond to deep impassioned pleas when you're off twerking 80 year old woman with purple hair 15 minutes later, Rosa DeLauro. Nobody believes, no one believes you. When you're out there every minute like Shri Danadar or Representative Al Green impeaching Trump for his dastardly deeds undone every day you've. You've you've lost the plot. People are paying attention more than they used to. People get enough Facebook during the day. They're not buying it anymore. And that's a very, very good thing. It is time for a return of the adults. Now this should be and is being done without reverting to the let's not get too hasty crowd who would say, well, let's not break the filibuster or anything. Let us be patient and do nothing. That crowd's not welcome either. So you really are going to see an era, I believe, where some of the candidate expectations is going to revert to quality. Now I think that Tim Burchett of Tennessee, Brandon Gill of Texas have had excellent records so far and doing precisely that. So again, those particular things aside, I think that's some, some pretty good stuff. All right, a few matters of, of business here for the show. On the 500th episode before I, you know, get all weepy and, and extra thankful here, did want to offer a huge shout out. Very kind of. Zeden9493 a50 super chat. It says happy 50th. Very, very kind of you. Again, you really don't have to do that, but we are very appreciative. Michael Seeger, a $10 super chat said, if the speaker of the House is not a natural born US Citizen, what happens if, God forbid, the Democrats impeach our president and the Vice president back to back? There is actually an answer for that. So the laws regarding a president of the United States being a natural born citizen, I believe the way the grammar is set up is that is to run for office and then to hold office, the House of Representatives would have to elect a new president. There are provisional councils and authorities that are set up through precedent via Congress and the Supreme Court. This was done in the election of 1876. There's a really interesting video on this from History Matters that I'd recommend over on the YouTube side of things, outlining kind of special commissions and when they're used. But no. Could a foreign citizen who was elected to Congress serve as speaker of the House? No. Constitutionally not really possible. I don't know the last time that's been floated, but yeah, very, very unlikely. A very kind super chat as well. $10 super chat from I believe Agnes. It's one of the longest names I've ever seen and has a lot of vowels and consonants and very interesting positions. So I can't really read it. Agnes, but thank you very much for the $10 super chat. Critical Mass Systems gave a $20 super chat. Again, you guys don't have to do this. Very flattered though says congrats Tony and Daily Signal Celebrating your 500th milestone right along with you. I discovered you just last week and I'm now a proud new subscriber. Here's to another 500. And then from Glenn, my favorite emoji, which is the clinking glasses emoji. Really appreciate that. And then from Crystal Raven Jones, $10 super chat. Thank you for all you do, Tony. Here's a little something for me, my husband, my six dogs, nine cats and my crested gecko. No doubt the crested gecko is the coolest out of all the listed individuals. Keep up the great work. Happy 500 again, very, very kind of you. I will take a question from Nancy R. In here says question. I heard there are I heard there are senator holdouts on the Save America act such as Murkowski, Collins, Grassley, Cornyn. Is this true and will these rhinos hold it up? I very, very much doubt that Grassley is is going to hold up against it. I think Grassley will end up voting in favor of it. Cornyn likely to as well. If Cornyn doesn't. I have to be careful because we well, no, we've, we've issued an extension to Cornyn as for an interview on the show here because we interviewed his primary challenger, Representative Wesley Hunt, as well as Crockett and the Attorney General Paxton. I think running in that race as well. If Cornyn voted against the Save America act, according to the prior data that we have seen from Texas voters there, I think that's an appropriate way to say it. That would be a very nice gift in a primary that is hotly contested to Wesley Hunt. That would be a very nice gift to him in a campaign fashion. So I would expect that Cornyn, recognizing that will probably end up voting in favor of the SAVE Act, Murkowski and Collins. I think Murkowski ends up voting in favor of the Save America act by the end of it. Collins is not needed. I think Vance would break a tie in any case here I don't see Murkowski, Collins, Grassley and Cornyn all voting against it, though Grassley or Cornyn will flake and I believe with Fetterman also likely voting in favor of it, although we have to he's not usually one to tout just rote party rhetoric. He argues on a principles base for leftist positions, admittedly which suck. But he's, he's at least a little more principled and, and less talkie, pointy than for example, Hakeem Jeffries, the Obama will Shatner love child. So again, I just, I don't know, you can hear me kind of, you know, moving back and forth on it. A very kind congratulations and donation from LD77 over on Rumble. Very, very, very kind of you. So that as well. One other question, an interesting one I would say, Tony. If drones are jammed, don't they just return home? No, no they do not. So again, if a signal is lost in a drone situation, there are some models of drone which will then rely on external communications to attempt to return home. There are very few VTOL vertical takeoff models which will just say I'll just do everything in reverse and go back home to where I was with wind and a couple other things that doesn't work. So you need a certain amount of some kinds of signal to return home. Now if you're a forward motion drone like the RQ7, very little chance you're going to be able to just return home. Additionally, there are fun electronic countermeasures that will, let's say, fry the signal or at least interrupt the signal and then issue different orders based on the model of drone that it might be saying, hey, hey, hey, fly towards the ground really fast. They have that. It doesn't work all the time because you know, a lot of different drones are different, different kind of programming things and there's a lot of different kinds of shielding and things for instruction. But yeah, things don't often just kind of kind of fly home again. I am a little more careful on what I share about drone things at the request of those who allow me to continue retaining the kinds of clearances that I enjoy and get to you guys a little bit earlier on some kinds of news than a little bit. But otherwise. So that aside, one of the take. Oh, that's an Interesting comment from Norton7506. Hear me out. Let's trade Puerto Rico straight across for Greenland. There fixed it. As a Ted, as a Teddy Rooseveltian foreign policy guy, there is not a chance that I would ever trade any piece of American territory for another or ever advocate for it. Ever. I would not trade Alberta for Minnesota. Ever. I would take Alberta. I would not trade Greenland for Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico's ours. It should be run better and its territorial status and the freedoms that they have should likely be revoked. For example, after taking billions and billions and billions of dollars to build electrical infrastructure, that certain super bowl halftime show singers were singing about people falling off of telephone and electric poles and, and then suggesting that somehow the United States fault. No, I think there that should be investigated and it should just be taken under administrative custody again. But no, I'm not interested in giving up any of the American empire at all. Pax Americana. Manifest Destiny would be my take on that. So that said, here at the close of the bonus Tonus section of the show, I really do want to thank every single one of you for how kind you guys have been as an audience. Whether you've been here for a couple of days, this is your first show, whether you've been here for weeks, months. Since the beginning when we started just on WIBC in Indianapolis In November of 2023, it's been an incredible journey to do this kind of stuff. Love doing it. Never thought this would end up being my full time job at all. As a former teacher and administrator who hopped into this after a lovely education scandal, it's a really cool thing to get to do this kind of work and share what I hope to be more than anything, a passionately researched and aggressively transparent show. Meaning I load the clips into the show myself and try to activate them on camera by myself. A lot of my other producers do some excellent things, but if I'm the guy that has to be responsible for those clips, you won't hear me throwing random producers under the bus. Or regarding some of the information on the show itself, trying to be very honest and transparent with you guys about where we get information, what speculation, what's reporting, where our bias is. Hopefully that makes it more trustworthy. That's the attempt anyway, because you guys can go to a bunch of people who are going to lie to you and tell you, hey, we're totally not biased, they're lying, everyone's biased. Or they can tell you things as though they know them from on high. Certain competitors that I'm friendly with do that. Certain competitors that I truly and deeply despise do that kind of stuff. I try not to do that with y'. All. And then lastly, a weird little niche that we seem to have filled kind of the evening show here at 7pm Eastern we are alongside a lot of other evening news programs. And one of the reasons we do it this way is a lot of those other evening shows on network television, for example, whose numbers on some of these networks were actually starting to pass, which is all kinds of wild to me. We have the honor of writing the show basically past 4:00pm Eastern every day. So hopefully, as you often hear me saying, this broke about a half an hour ago. We're giving you the Information that we know as soon as it's going live. We rely on increasingly over on our discord, which there's a link to in the description on the YouTube and the rumble side of things. Anyway, you can join there. We have a little news and updates. Kind of a channel where if you have some things that you think we should look at, our producers take a look at it. We'll break it live if we have to. You hear me asking producers to clarify or verify things on air because we like being up to date. Sure. You could get a network show that has to run Guthrie coverage 24 hours a day because they didn't do any planning or research to cover anything else during their evening shows. While we bring you up to date information, we really try not to sit on one thing too long. Now. Sometimes something really does boil my blood enough and I have to sit on it for a little bit longer. And I'm sorry. I mean, you know, we sarcastic Hoosiers do often tend to ramble, especially in the latter millennial age. But hey, we really appreciate all of you who tune in. This 500 episode streak has been incredibly humbling. You realize how fragile you are as a broadcaster and your skills that you thought you could go out there and just talk non stop forever and you realize your limitations. You guys have been incredibly kind about it. So huge thank you from us. A huge thank you from me, not only to 93 WIBC, to our syndicated radio and TV partners across the country, but to my production team, to Allison over on the board at WIBC making sure that we are connected and our wires do get hooked up, to all of the other syndication partners on the radio side, at least to producer Daniel, to producer Lou, of course to producers Jen and Josiah haven't been with us for very long, but we really do appreciate having you on the team. And then of course to the Daily Signal, which I am proud to call my home. We're going to be back tomorrow with a little less pomp and circumstance because, you know, it'll be 5:01 old hat by then. This is the Tony Kennett cast here on the Daily Signal, nationally syndicated, first on 93 WIBC. We'll see you tomorrow at 7. Take care.
