Tony Kennett. Tony Kennett, host of the Tony Kennett cast. Let's get down to business. You're listening to the Tony Kennett cast on 93 WIBC on CYTV here on the Daily Signal. Good evening again. Welcome to the Tony Kennett cast here on the Daily Signal, nationally syndicated, first out of 93. We are in a current rebroadcasting of the show and maybe, yeah, we could have stitched it together and pieced together some earlier clips from the first run of it. Nope, not doing it. Our restreaming software, so we have our livestream software for the show, then we have our equipment that sends it to the syndicated side. And then on the live stream crew where a lot of people very graciously tuned in and come in and watch. On the live stream side of things, we have a rebroadcasting software so that we can share it to YouTube, of course, but also to Rumble and to X. And we have been unfortunately let down by our particular rebroadcaster. This is the second time they have fallen apart like Joe Biden in a basic two minute speech in the last couple of weeks. And so after tonight, come hell, high water, prayers, shares, snuggles or curse words, we're going with somebody else that said further ado. Let's get into the news again. So Tom Holman gets in front of the country. He's the border czar in Minneapolis because we had Operation Metro surge, the establishment of the Department of Homeland Security under Secretary Kristi Noem sent in Greg Bevino and they made a big show of it. And there was a lot of cameras that came in and the ICE officers were assaulted on all sides by ladies blowing rape whistles. Individuals ramming their cars into ICE officers threatening their lives each and every day. Riots, fires, vandalism. You know the stuff Minneapolis exports. And after several weeks in which individuals were advised via training apps and doxing apps, encouraged by congresswoman like Ilhan Omar and Maxine Waters, by Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Fry, Minnesota Governor Tim Walls, Attorney General Keith Ellison to get in there and obstruct law enforcement under some convoluted, goofy, nonsensical, imaginary versus version of the First Amendment, lying about what the First Amendment actually says about protesting, we ended up with two dead, two individuals who were encouraged to get in there and obstruct federal law enforcement. And in a very heated and tense environment, the officers ended up firing shots that killed Alex Preddy and Renee Goode. RENEE Goode who was attempting vehicular manslaughter. Alex Preddy, who was again trying to obstruct federal law enforcement. One of the individuals in that case appears to have shouted, gun, Gun. It scared one of the officers, who then fired in perceived self defense, resulting in the death of Alex Preddy. The American people said, wow, I don't like this. On my tv, it looks like bad press. And then Christy Noem came out and said, nope, no investigations. We think everything is good and above board here. Admire the spirit. I agree. Standing with law enforcement was not the right move. Trump sent in Tom Holman operations then proceeded 7:30am Press conferences, got right down to it and then as of today, Tom Holman got out in front of the country in the early hours of the morning and announced metro surge concluding.
B
Tom Holman, I have proposed and President Trump has concurred that this surge operation conclude a significant drawdown has already been underway this week and will continue to the next week. We have a lot of work to do across this country to remove public safety risk who shouldn't even be in this country.
A
Correct? Correct. Now he's pulling out. Not without a few good things and a few bad things. So when I say good things in this case, I mean there are a couple of major accomplishments from the Trump administration. First and foremost, this would be that over 3,000 children that the Biden administration and then by extension the Governor Tim Walls administration in the state of Minnesota, these children that were lost and unlooked for. Now, the Trump administration has found over 3,000 of these illegal and migrant children.
B
In addition to taking public safety threats off the street, ICE here in this state have located 3,364 missing unaccompanied alien children, children that the last administration lost and weren't even looking for. That's because the leadership of President Trump, these children were located.
A
Excellent. That is a very, very good thing. Now, Tim Walls, on the other hand, he got out in front of the country and he decided that it was a better move to do a whole lot of gaslighting. So he got out there and he started using words like generational trauma. We faced. Oh, for the ICE agents out here, untrained and terrible. And he said some really, really, really dumb things that included questions about children. We'll get to him in a second, though. Tom Holman also cited an issue because they are not leaving in complete and total victory. Tom Holman makes an impassioned call to Congress, as he has, by the way, through several presidential administrations, because who defines how immigration law works you guess you don't need me to sing the Schoolhouse Rock song. That would be the con. The United States kind of an important branch, the legislative. Here's Tom Holman calling.
B
It shouldn't be a partisan issue that you arrest public safety threats in the safety and security of a jail. Releasing public safety threats back in the public is just stupid. And I've been. I've been arguing this for years, and I hope Congress takes action on sanctuary cities and sanctuary states. It makes sense if you think about it. Even the argument I hear. Well, victims and witnesses of crime that are in the country illegally want to feel safe to come to law enforcement and to report those crimes without fearing that this law enforcement agency is working with ice. That's just, that's just. That's a bunch of crap. Because victims and witnesses of crime don't want the bad guy released in the neighborhood either. It's ridiculous. We want access to the person that you chose. The local jurisdiction chose, locked in a jail cell. And we have that cooperation here. Now. It's the right thing to do and it makes this community safer. This community is safer because we arrested 4,000 illegal aliens and it's over 4,000 illegal aliens here, many of them public safety threat, not all of them. As I said, we're going to force immigration law, but this community is much safer because of President Trump's leadership and the men and women standing on this stage.
A
That is the way, by the way, that you conduct yourself as a leader in the administration, it is a good thing to say, hey, my boss made the right call. Here it is because of their leadership. You don't want to, you know, be a glory hound, take all the credit for yourself. So therefore saying, hey, put President Trump's leadership. Here's what he said, here's what he suggested. This was the plan. That's a good thing. Thumbs very, very much up in that particular instance. Now, unfortunately, he is one of a few in the leadership of the Department of Homeland Security that has that view, or the Department of Justice, for that matter. At the senior leadership level, there's a lot of running around and yelling and you need to apologize and getting in a fight with Massey or Jamie Raskin and a bunch of nonsense. What Americans are looking for right now is the calm airline pilot that we all picture. That's what we want in our leadership. The person who, when they're annoyed, doesn't sound like an angry, yelling, screaming person throwing things and acting like they just got their livestream, you know, kicked off the air. Instead, they want someone who sounds a lot like a disappointed parent and then who acts with the authority of a disappointed parent. Now he calls for sanctuary policy to end in this country that requires the Senate. Now the Senate says, according to a bunch of influencers, online videos of Lindsey Graham running all around the United States Senate, apparently they're working on banning sanctuary. Uh huh, yeah, sure, sure they are. They can't even get Senate leadership to bring up the Save America act on voter id. You think that Thune is gonna bring up canceling, ending sanctuary city policy? You think you're going to get reached the 60 vote threshold or that Thune is going to have Democrats actually do the talking. Filibuster for that? No, I don't see it. Impress me. Surprise me. Thune's a smart guy. Thune's not obstinate or arrogant, I don't think from watching him. But there is a measure here where you actually have to come to the conclusion that we are putting law enforcement at significant risk. Significant risk. When they go into sanctuary city areas where local law enforcement refuses to do any kind of cooperation with federal authorities. And then they'll cry generational trauma. Here in Minnesota, we, we have all these problems because ICE has ruined everything. So give me money. Because that's Tim Wall's entire approach here. Give me money. That's what he wants. He wants everyone to cash in again on Somali businesses. Now that might put up a little red flag for you, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Governor Tim Walz.
B
We are cautiously optimistic, as we've said, and that this surge of untrained, aggressive federal agents are going to leave Minnesota. And I guess they'll go wherever they're going to go.
A
What the f is this? Just so petty and childish. Well, they're here, they're gone. One of them winked at my wife, one of them called me the R word. And they're going to wherever they're gonna go. Great. Yes. Get to the point, Skippy. I appreciate that you look like a Sid the Sloth and a frog, but by all means, please get to the point.
B
Fact of the matter is they left us with deep damage. Generational trauma. They left with economic ruin.
A
Ah, yes, generational trauma. Gener. What does that mean? What does that mean? Generational trauma. You're going to hear that buzzword from Ilhan Omar as well. Generational trauma. For what? For what? What are you talking about again? This constant idea that Americans are so tired of, so exhausted of is politicians coming in and making these weird announcements that everything is either the best thing in the world. We've never seen it. Everything is so amazing. It's awesome. Quick, do some coke off the toilet seat. Or number two, it's the worst thing ever. And the Nazis are here in Gestapo and literally Hitler, and you're going to hell. So says Lamonica McIver from the House Committee on Homeland Security. You don't have to do that. Americans are really exhausted by this particular rhetoric because you've already promised us that we're already in 18 kinds of generational trauma, enough to keep every therapist from San Fran to Anaheim in gold coins for the next 500 years. We've already died so many times. Net neutrality. We've died from climate change at least 14 times. I've been promised the rivers in Indiana are going to poison me and all of my future progeny, which I shouldn't be having because having children means we're all going to die of running out of resources or white nationalism or whatever.
B
In some cases, they left us with many unanswered questions. Where are our children? Where and what is the process of the investigation into those that were responsible for the deaths of Renee and Alex? So while the federal government may move on to whatever next thing they want to do, the state of Minnesota and our administration is unwaveringly focused on the recovery of what they did. And there will be many steps in this process, many answers that we still need to get and will pursue. But as we started earlier this week, one. First things we can do, what we're focusing on today.
A
Here it comes. You. You and I both know where this is going, of course, because why would he get out there? He does. You know, again, the.
B
The.
A
The big bre. You know, amazing speech here. What's it all about? I'll give me your money.
B
Is what can we start doing on the economic recovery?
A
Ah, there it is.
B
The damage that has been done to our economy, specifically to small business owners.
A
Ah, small business owners. Okay, okay.
B
And even more specifically to immigrant small business owners, which for every other administration and for most of our history, is the epitome of the American dream.
A
All right, all right. That's. That's really wonderful and excellent and amazing. Oh, exciting. First of all, no, again, I don't remember this kind of rhetoric from Tim walls. During the 2020 Summer of Love riots, where was all of the economic loss from burning down the restaurant owned by the firemen? Huh? Where was that? Oh, I'm sorry. Was he too white to receive any kind of money for you, Tim? From you, Tim Walls? He's so upset and Again, this is hilarious to watch, because what he's saying is that not because there was a major disease or people were murdered, like the business owners attacked, that kind of a thing, their businesses weren't vandalized or destroyed. They weren't forbidden from going and working, he's claiming they lost all of this economic momentum because there were people who are illegal immigrants who are not supposed to be here, who are too afraid to go do their jobs. Now, a lot of these same businesses involved in the Medicare and the Medicaid and the charity fraud schemes and the wiring fraud schemes to the Al Shabaab terrorist network in Somalia. So he's out here saying, we gotta do something for this amazing group of this. These illegal immigrant business operators and owners. And not like they, you know, just through $18 billion in fraud in Minneapolis in Minnesota. I should say, broadly, not as though already one of the largest fraud investigations in our nation's history is playing out. Not as though he also hasn't just announced funding initiatives where, hey, you know what? You want to take off and. And just not work anymore because you're a parent? Cool. Money for you. Oh, hey, you. You think that you might be gay? Money. Money for you. And also tampons for your bathroom. Incredible.
B
Come to this country with nothing and build something to be proud of. Build something that creates jobs.
A
All right, that last part. We're going to get into his little $10 million scheme here. That's that last part. Build something out of nothing. I'm going to level with you here. We need to have this conversation. We've been meaning to have it for a while. Immigrants who came to this country in the early years of our nation of all various kinds and people, both those who were considered white and those who were not considered white, shout out to the Irish and the Italians. They. When they built something, they had to build something out of nothing. Banks wouldn't give them a loan. There were no grant programs from the federal government from any of that crap. Nothing. You had to build it with your sweat and your tears. And you better learn English and you better learn how to fit in, and you better become a part of this country.
B
I.
A
Otherwise you're gonna fail and you're gonna starve. And you know what amazing thing happened? There were amazing American institutions that were built up by immigrants who came to this country and built alongside the Americans who may have gotten here five years ago, 10 years ago, 50 or 100 years before. And they built and they labored and they created a great country. The idea that we need to give money to business owners in Minneapolis who spent their money poorly over the last 10 years wiring it to Al Shabaab and buying fancy cars and throwing it down every other nonsense while claiming to be feeding children or taking care of children or educating children or medicating children. Now I gotta give them more money. On top of that they need like $10 million in extra super duper loans. I can tell you're not convinced. I, I, I for one am also not convinced. So when I'm truly not convinced, it's time to pull out the big emotional, the emotional poll here. Give the emotional moments. And that means Tim Walls, he's got to appeal to your heart. You got to get out the Disney card here and tell you he believes more than anybody, he believes. For those of you that be Ilhan, that's the clip that I was looking for earlier. I'm telling you, Tim Walls, man, more than anybody else ever in the history of all, he really does, he, he believes super duper muchly here he is Minnesota people, man, you just gotta believe.
B
No matter where you come from, we believe in those words. Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to be breathed free. This is a place you can breathe free. And my message to you is the majority of Minnesotans and Americans stand on your side. They stand on the side that immigration is the core of who we are and that human decency. So as we go on this long road to recovery.
A
No, no, no, no more long roads of whatever. Just a fun fact here again, immigration is not the core of the country. It's not what you do when you are here is the core of the country committing fraud. Not core of the country. Nope. And by the way, in the same way, those who have been here forever, not a virtue either. Half of my family Irish, the other half Native American. Like the verified kind, not the Elizabeth Warren kind. We'll get to her in a minute. And just because one part of my family has been here pre existing the United States doesn't make them special. What they do, that makes you special. That makes you something that you are providing worth others time, attention and resources. The reason that I stopped by a Chicago style hot dog place when I go into Indianapolis is because the hot dogs are good. Not because they're getting subsidies, not because they're immigrants from Illinois. It's because the service, the product is delicious. That's why it matters. Immigration. The idea that just because instead of a sombrero, you may wear some other kind of hat, you may wear a turban Ooh. You know that those 90s ideas where, like, they had everyone holding hands around the world and everyone was wearing the ceremonial dress of all of these places. That's not what makes you special. It's what do you do with it? That's good. The reason that Mexican restaurants in the United States are. Are popular is because they are freaking delicious. The reason that Somali restaurants in the United States are not popular is because serving beans, dirt, bananas, and rice as is on the menu. I'm not making that up at these restaurants that he's bragging about the restaurant scene that we need to give $10 million to. No, not. No, not delicious. That's why it's not popular. And. And how do I know that? Because I've seen barbecue joints that have opened that are run off of. Of the dreams of dear old sweet gals. Duct tape, WD40, and if they're lucky, electricity that would make a health inspector weep, not tears of joy. And they're very popular, and they're beloved. And we get very mad when they close down the only barbecue restaurant in Greenfield, Indiana, Florida. Barbecue. Why? Why did you leave me? They were so delicious. What made it good? The product. It's not difficult, but here we go. Ilhan Omar. I tease it a little bit. She's also come out to announce generational trauma. For those of you who don't know me, I represent Somalia. You know, as she said on video before, represents the great nation of Somalia. It's who she pledges her allegiance to openly Somalia claims, or she claims somalia openly. Minnesota's 5th congressional district. Slight semantic game. Minneapolis is home. And, you know, the pain of what we are experiencing is going to be everlasting. And I try to tell my colleagues we are a community. Everlasting. What are you talking about? Is the everlasting gobstopper. Everlasting to everlasting. What do you mean, everlasting trauma? Again, it's the same we're all going to die rhetoric that Americans are so exhausted from, so exhausted from, and no one can blame them. Senator Amy Klobuchar over in the Senate, you know, faking tears, because of course, she is. So you tell me how these actions have made our state. So she's noticing that no one's really paying attention. She's in a mostly empty Senate chamber, by the way. So she's going to start constricting her voice to start crying. Now, when she does this, she sounds like Tim Walls, but a slightly higher voice, but only slightly more safe. It's the opposite. School attendance Down. Families living in fear, people staying home. Restaurants and businesses feeling the impact. Operation Metro surge costing our Minnesota economy an estimated $80 million per week. All for the shock and awe. Were such a small percentage of the people that they apprehended. Oh, so brave. Involved in violent crime. Oh, stunning, exciting, amazing. I mean, I love, I love the fake tears. It really, really, you know, tug at your heartstrings. Reminds me of Jussie Smollett beaten to death by a subway sandwich right before NASCAR started tying nooses and garage poles or whatever. Now, again, for those who say that this fraud is just non existent, that it doesn't matter, we need to give him more money. I will remind you that Todd Blount. Todd Blanche, excuse me, the deputy Attorney General who. I'm sorry, I'm. Now that we're in the second iteration of this show, I just don't have any problem saying this. Todd Blanche, who should be the Attorney General of the United States, just as Tom Holman should be the Director of Homeland Security. Todd Blanche called this particular amount of fraud in Minnesota as being the cause for all of this violence and nonsense back on January 26th. Here he was making this case clearly and correctly in one city.
B
We have this outrage and this powder.
A
Keg happening, and it's not right and.
B
It doesn't happen anywhere else.
A
And it's simply because of one reason, and that's leadership.
B
In that state, when there was all the focus on the billions and billions of dollars in fraud happening in Minneapolis.
A
Suddenly, suddenly, Minneapolis becomes a powder keg.
B
And the people that caused that to happen were the governor, the mayor, the Attorney General, Omar. They're the ones that incited rhetoric, encouraged.
A
These rioters to go with their cell.
B
Phones, not to peacefully protest.
A
Not to peacefully protest, but to go.
B
Out and do exactly what was happening on Saturday morning. And so there was a powder cake and it was absolutely lit by that leadership.
A
Correct. You may say, but that's not like, exciting. That's not super influencery. Yeah, that's okay. By the way, I don't need my politicians to be pundits. I'm the pundit, I'm the analyst. I'm the correspondent. I'll get out here and do the impressions and the, the lackluster jokes and sarcasm. And I'll be camera ready and I'll put a little, you know, bird slick hair gel and then we'll go out and we'll have a good time. If the live stream works, you do the lawmaking or the executive agency prosecuting. I don't Want to see performance from you. I want you to be a little bit boring. The issue with Mitt Romney was not that he was. Was boring. The issue with Mitt Romney was that he had, like, very few moral scruples and was way too moderate on way too many things. You don't have to get out there and do weird school dance kicks like Tim Walls and say it's the end of everything. We're all gonna die every 15 minutes. Absolutely not. Now, we're gonna talk about some of these federal judges, but since I have mentioned the influencers, we're going to cut over to a conversation about the Senate and. And I do not mean Senator Mark Kelly, although we'll get to him. So meanwhile, over in the Senate, they're all leaving for a lovely security conference in Europe. Not like there are things going on. Republicans, every Single1, voted 52 to Democrats 47 in favor of funding the Department of Homeland Security. Now, Democrats said no. Well, actually, as Elizabeth Warren says, hell no. I'll let her explain it to you as she as her hair just kind of wobs and bobs down towards the airport so she can catch her flight. Once again, I just voted no on a blank check for ICE and cbp. So again, although we'll cover this in a minute, she says she's voting no on a blank check for ICE and cbp. She says she suggests here openly that funding DHS would be a blank check to get. She's about to say billions of to Immigration Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol. Remember that? That is her entire claim that she's making here. Because today Republicans in Congress tried once again to shovel billions of dollars into ICE without any restraints whatsoever. She doubles down. You know what? Every Senate Republican voted for it. Now that should give you pause. Like I'm pausing this particular video. That should give you pause. If Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski rubber stamped this, then maybe it ain't so bad. You know, this is one of those things, like if Jared golden from Maine, the Democrat representative who's not running for reelection, but I really wish he was over in the House when he voted for something along with Republicans, it would give you pause and go, man, maybe it's not so bad. Again, if you're a moderate Democrat, all three or four that remain in the United States. But what are we yelling about here? They voted to rubber stamp all of ice's terror. Keep in mind what they tried to.
B
Pass doesn't even make ICE follow the.
A
Same rules that our local police have to follow. Good. ICE isn't Local police, Immigration Customs Enforcement is to enforce immigration law. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is to enforce a different part of federal law. So the U.S. marshal's office, so is the Central Intelligence Agency, so is the National Security Agency. There is no reason that we need federal officers and local law enforcement, which sort of completely different rules in precedent, in the Constitution, in legal matters, in state, in federal and local law to all follow the exact same rule. That makes no sense whatsoever. No, I'm sorry, my kids power wheels, little plastic vehicle doesn't need to go the same speed as a race car on the Indy 500. There's no reason for that. Now that'd be freaking sweet, but that's not necessary.
B
Shoot.
A
I didn't just vote no. I voted hell no. Enough is enough. She voted hell no. You go, girl. I said the word I'm so strong and amazing as I'm flying off to Europe. So while I would love to fact check Warren myself on this, Senator, excuse me, Democrat, Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania does this oh so much better because he's also tired of a lot of this stuff because there are some things from the Democrat side of the aisle that he wants to vote for. I mean, they're wrong things to vote for, but you know, he's a Democrat. He doesn't like this because as it turns out, ICE is already funded. This has nothing to do with funding ice. This is tsa.
B
I met with Secretary Noem and I've always treated her with respect. I met with her in my office and I refuse and I never will engage on the kinds of sexist kinds of terms like ICE Barbie from a lot of the left me will use those kind of things. And now I said, hey, I, I'm a Democrat. Then I say secure our border. Yeah. And deport all of the criminals. Yeah. You know, we all, I think we can agree, we can signed up on that. And then my friend Katie Britt came to me and said we want to bring the Lincoln Riley bill there. And I'm like, yeah, I was going to be the Democrat to bring that there. And now we. The co sponsor is the Democrat. So I believe that we should have those kinds of appropriate things.
A
Yeah, again, ICE is already fully funded and then some. The big beautiful bill, it shoveled all kinds of Ka Ching good old cash. I mean, fully funded. Changing the vote now does nothing. Does absolutely nothing. All it does is like cuts down on tsa. Ah, yes. That always makes Americans happy when there are two TSA workers for an entire security checkpoint. Oh boy. No reason they had some political capital. This. The Democrats, they've thrown it completely away. Now Senator Lankford also today in committee, asked Todd Lyons the question that has been thrown out consistently that we need to get ICE to stop arresting people without judicial warrants. They're arresting people with administrative warrants. And there's no due process. There's no due process at all. So Senator Lankford asks Todd Lyons, the vice, to explain how many individuals have already done all of the court stuff and now they have final orders of removal and then they just don't leave. Cuz we hear about these cases. How many illegal immigrants in the country right now have gotten all of the due process and more and have been told, all right, you lost, you're done, final order of removal, leave. And then said no. Cause if that's a big number. Oh, hi. As a committed demonstration, let me clip through here. What percentage of folks that actually have a detainer put on them nationwide or that are in removal processes have a final order of removal? Does anyone know that number? That percentage? No, sir, not the percentage I can give you the. What we're tracking right now is about 1.6 million final orders in the United States, but approximately 800,000 of those having criminal convictions. Correct. Of those of those folks, there's this debate against the final order of removal and whether they should be honored in detainers in states like Minnesota or what that actually looks like. As my colleague, Senator Johnson was saying. The Attorney General kept saying, well, if they're convicted, then I'm going to honor it. But then came back later and said, if there's a final order of removal.
B
It'S my understanding that the vast majority.
A
Of these folks that are being removed have a final order of removal on them already. Through a court. Yes, sir, through an immigration judge with the Department of Justice separate from Immigration Customs Enforcement. Huh. So wait a minute. All of these deportations, the final order of rule, They've already had all of the due process. No way. I'm. I for one, am almost a little tiny bit shocked. Gee williker whiz, it's almost like the left is so full of crap on this that there is not a waste company willing to pick up this festering porta potty. Now this brings us over to the SAVE act because again, we have senators that are. We're running around on the floor going, boy, we gotta stop these sanctuary cities. We gotta get out there and stop them right now. And they didn't do anything. And it all comes down to one particular reason. Why? The Republicans only have, on a good day, 5,253 votes. And if they only have 52, 53 votes, they'd have 53. But you know, Rand Paul cries about everything. If they have only 52, 53 votes, that doesn't meet the 60 vote threshold. And that kind of sucks. Why does that kind of suck? Well, because there's some things that Americans really want codified. Trump can sign as many executive orders as he likes, but unless Congress codifies it, the next president that gets in can flip them like a flapjack right in front of you. Terrible. So what are they gonna do? Well, you gotta actually get the Senate to address the filibuster. Now, there are some Republicans who just wanna get rid of the filibuster altogether. Nuclear option, everything. There's a classic Mitch McConnell line from before he went, you know, loopier than a box of Fruit Loops when he warned people about just tearing things down for kicks and giggles, say to my.
B
Friends on the other side of the aisle, you'll regret this.
A
And you may regret it a lot.
B
Sooner than you think.
A
But you don't have to get rid of the filibuster. You can instead reinvigorate the filibuster to the traditional way the filibuster has been used, otherwise known as the talking filibuster. Filibustering means this. You have enough votes to pass something, but you're going to debate and never allow the vote to come up. The filibuster allows somebody like Cory Booker, for instance, to take an Imodium down a bottle of water, get up in front of the Senate, and then for the next 22 and a half hours, rant and rave and yell and scream, in this case about voter ID and the Save act or perhaps cutting sanctuary city policy. And then when he's done and he's tired, that's it. And then they hold the vote. And then, simple majority, it passes, it honors the filibuster. It allows the Democrat in this case to explain why he really doesn't want this to happen for as long as his little lungs can carry him. And then that's it. Senate Majority Leader John Thune refuses to bring this up, or at least is obfuscating to beat the band. And there is mounting pressure for this to change. Now, we'll talk about some of the mounting pressure, first and foremost, regarding the Save America Act. As Mike Johnson has said, we're going to pass it as many times as we need to pass it. We Baptists are stubborn that way. He'll pass it as many times up to the Senate because the House wants it. It is incredibly popular among Republicans and independents and Democrats, red and yellow, black and white, precious in his sight, very in favor of voter id. No matter how many times the Democrats promise, pinky promise that it's going to strip all women of the right to vote and black people and poor people, which Democrats seem to think are the same thing. Kind of insulting, you know, despite all of that. Very, very popular the Save America Act. And so it goes to the Senate. And now what we have are a lot of weird obfuscations because all of media, those who aren't covering the Virginia Guthrie, Nancy Guthrie situation 24 7, pretending that's the only thing that's on the news. Sorry. The situation regarding the Save America act is getting a lot of journalistic pressure to it. And what you have are a bunch of senators telling reporters. I've never even heard of that. I don't even know what you're talking about. I'm just. I'm just. Look, I'm still looking at it here. Was. Was Susan Collins of Maine making this case today? Now that the Save America act has passed the House, can we count on you to support it in the Senate? I looking at it, the House made some significant changes. For example, you would not have to prove citizenship every time you vote. Isn't that. Isn't that okay? Like once you prove that you're a citizen once. Ain't that one and done. I mean, unless it's like one of the skinwalkers from West Virginia putting on my skin and going to vote for me. And honestly, then as long as he votes, you know, Republican and not in Chicago, I'm pretty okay with that. Uh, but what. What's the deal? Look, sounds like you've already looked at it. Now here, though, here's where we get to the obfuscation. And you'll notice this because she, Collins is about to say the exact same kind of line as, for example, Senator John Cornyn from Texas told Ben Shapiro today. It's the same line, which is, again, it's a dance, it's a jukebox trying to dance around the question. Because as this particular correspondent from Lindell tv, who, by the way, just as a note, I have no, I've never watched Lindell TV a day in my life. I don't particularly, you know, care about that entire thing. I'll say this, though. Their reporters have gotten more questions answered and asked at various administration officials and Congress people than I have seen from any news Agency on the right combined and in the last 10 years, incredibly impressive. But she's going to ask and Collins is going to respond with this very vague answer about how I'm kind of, sort of in favor of voter id. Kind of. You're going to hear the same thing from Cornyn in a second. That's a good change. The makes sense to have a requirement the first time when you register, but not every time. Now, again, that would be the House lowering the standard slightly and saying, okay, once you bring your proof of citizenship, your birth certificate the first time now you don't have to for the next 10 or 12 years. Okay. I mean we do the same kind of thing sort of with some driver's license, you know, re verification. All right. Not like you're going to become illegal between now and then, obviously. Still would hope one clamps down on some informal voting processes like absentee and mail in. I once supported voter id. Here it is. There's some issues somewhat what are federal and what are state. So I'm still the. This is a work in progress. Ah, there it is. It's a work in progress. I've long supported it because she's kind of like, like out of breath, doing the wide step. I don't know, maybe the reporter is really tall, got the wide stride going on there with poor Collins. I don't know. But. Well, I'm very impressed with Vote. Oh, oh, der I.D. yee. Great. I didn't ask. You're a Republican. I would hope you're in favor of voter id. You know, not to keep you from your sisterhood of the traveling pants book reading club that you seem to be sprinting off toward, but perhaps you tell us, do you support actually bringing this to the floor? You've already looked at it. I'm still looking at it. Also here are all of the changes from the House bill that have changed since the last time. Okay, Mad Libs. Well, you've already looked at it, so bring it to the front there, sparky. Come on, what are we waiting for? And the, the better example in this case, I think was on the Ben Shapiro show today. He had on Senator John Cornyn. And I want to make this really clear. Senator John Cornyn of Texas. We have invited Senator John Cornyn on the show a couple of times. So far, we have not heard back from his office. That's not a petty wine. I'm saying that for very specific reasons, according to FCC and IRS rules as the Daily Signal and also the Tony can it cast on Spectrum broadcast air when There is an election. We make sure to invite every major candidate in an election. So we had on Wesley Hunt, for example, and therefore we extended an invitation to John Cornyn and then also to Ken Paxton, who's running for that Senate seat, and then also Jasmine Crockett and the other Democrats in the primary process for that seat as well. The reason I preface that up front, what I am about to say about John Cornyn and his, his futzing around on the Save America act issue has nothing at all to do with his particular campaign for office. Although he does reference the 2026 midterms in his. Again, what I consider to be dancing around it, because Ben asks him, as you're about to hear, hey, are you going to go ahead and bring up this talking filibuster and what do you feel about Senate leadership here? And he sort of answers the question and then he, you know, kick out Footloose because he starts dancing. That includes the Save America act, which.
B
Is now passed the House.
A
A lot of talk in the Senate about whether or not the, the Senate Majority leader is going to force a talking filibuster on the Save Act. First of all, why don't you tell.
B
People what the Save act is?
A
Second, do you think that the Senate is going to force a talking filibuster as opposed to the sort of the usual arrangement where people can claim a filibuster without actually having to get up there and jabber for 25 hours?
B
Well, the Save America act is basically voter ID.
A
Okay.
B
Which is a very popular bipartisan issue.
A
Correct.
B
It seems like it should be a no brainer, but.
A
Cool. So that was the answer to the first question. The second question that Ben asked was talking filibuster. Is Thune gonna bring it up or not?
B
These days everything is contested by the resistance on the Democratic side. And so I would say there's, there's almost universal support in the Senate. I know the House has now passed the bill. The challenge, as you mentioned, is, and typically in the senate you need 60 votes in order to proceed. And I think regardless of the outcome, I still think we need to vote on this bill and put people on the record.
A
Okay, so he presents one of the classic outs. Anyway, I like Cornyn for a lot of reasons. I think that he has a very clever way of writing certain policy that a lot of individuals don't have kind of a knack for writing legislation is, is not a common thing in this day and age. I know because I've done education policy advice for a couple of state Legislatures, some of them. Gee whiz, it's like a Ketangi Brown Jackson opinion from scotus. It's rough. Cornyn's got some good stuff. However, this answer's crap. It sucks. Oh, well, either way, we need to have a vote and get people on the record. How about no? How about no? This like, oh, we're gonna have a vote on the record. And then, you know, Republicans can run on it by November. We can say, oh, look, here's Cory Booker. He voted no for the Save America Act. Guess what? Breaking news. You know what? Where's the Fox breaking news Sounder? Breaking news, boys and girls. Cory Booker is already gonna vote against the Save America Act. He was always gonna vote against the Save America Act. That's what he does. He's a Democrat. They're against it. You're not breaking any news. They're putting them on the. Oh, putting them on the record. Oh, wow. Yeah, that's really gonna nail him to the wall. Because if there's one thing Republicans have been really good about in campaigns and it's nailing their opponent to the wall on issues. I will remind you that the reason winsome Earl Sears lost, other than the fact that she's an incredibly uncharismatic and rather untalented candidate, is that her entire plan for becoming governor of Virginia was to stand there and point at Abigail Spanberger and go, I'm not like her. Abigail Spanberger thinks trans kids should be in the other sexes locker room. That's very true. Guess what? That doesn't resonate with voters. So this answer sucks. We'll let him continue, though. Let him. Maybe. Maybe he'll talk his way out of.
B
It and then this needs to become one of the components of our campaign in the 2026 midterms.
A
Oh, yeah, that works real well.
B
Filibuster is a. Is a innovation. It's something new. I know people are. Who are.
A
It's not an innovation. It's not something new. Literally, to filibuster me. To filibuster means to debate, to speak into the future. To filibuster something means you are stalling. If I had a break that I was aching toward, like I was trying to keep going for another three minutes, that would be filibustering. As I brought up things to say, it's not a new innovation. Quit dancing.
B
A certain age. Remember Jimmy Stewart and Mr. Smith goes to Washington, but that hasn't been the rule for a long time now.
A
Oh, you want a Jimmy Stewart reference there, do you, Mary? I'LL throw a lasso up, bring the filibuster down to you, and it requires.
B
60 votes in order to proceed. The idea, of course, is that there needs to be someplace in America where there is deliberation on important issues that affect 330 plus million Americans.
A
Oh, yeah, that's what we need. Oh, good. Oh, yes. Yes. That's what we needed. More people talking at each other and not changing their minds. Yeah, that was the squeaky wheel that needed the grease. Yep. Ah, success. Yeah. That again, that. Now that. That's just more people deliberating. Oh, thank God.
B
And that place is the Senate. And so there's not the votes right now, as I notice, the Majority Leader Thune has told President Trump there's not the votes now to change that. So that's. That's where we are.
A
Oh, there you go. There's your answer. Senate leadership has said no. And so there you go. That's. That's your answer. All of the influencers over the next couple of days, weeks, who are going to say, oh, is the Senate going to do it? There you go, there's your answer. Senate leadership already told Trump no. So unless Thune changes his mind, it's not going to happen, much less a banning of sanctuary city stuff. It is a difficult thing to be the Senate Majority Leader. It is a very difficult thing to be the speaker of the House. Again, I have a lot of respect for speaker of the House Mike Johnson, for Senate Majority Leader John Thune, there's a lot of stuff he has been able to accomplish. But right now, what I'm seeing in the Senate are a lot of bills that are sitting there for no reason. And I mean no reason, because you won't let Democrats dig their own grave. You've got Cory Booker out there with a shovel, with a grin as wide as a creepy doll from the 60s who's like, I'll dig my own grave. I'll do it. I'll tell everyone why this idea is really, really bad. And in front of the country, I'll call women stupid. You got it. And Thune won't hand them the shovel. And then, of course, not to mention all of the nominations that haven't been confirmed. But. But alas, I digress. So the reason that the Senate had to wrap up today, they're going off to Europe. Senator Eric Schmidt of Missouri made this particular case clear before the Senate before they all shuttled off to Europe for a defense summit. There's a bus leaving the Capitol grounds and headed for an airport. Democrats are on that bus who just.
B
Voted to defund the paycheck of the.
A
TSA agent making $40,000 a year to hop on a plane funded by your tax dollars to go to Munich to go. And badmouth American foreign policy. They'll be sipping wine with the global elites.
B
Telling them, don't listen to President Trump.
A
Don't we, that's not who we are. I got news for you.
B
The American people have weighed in, and.
A
They did in November of 2024. In this new direction of foreign policy.
B
Is the descending view.
A
Now we're gonna talk about some of the foreign policy stuff. Senator Eric Schmidt echoing a lot of the frustration in the country right now. I'm gonna, I'm gonna speed through the foreign policy stuff. Sorry, you'll have to forgive me on this one. We have a lot more news to cover in a redo of tonight's broadcast. I'm not missing any of it. So, first of all, on the Israel, Iran situation, we've still got mixed signals. President Trump is floating. There could be a deal in like the next month. Maybe Vance is saying something that's different. Marco Rubio is not really giving any insight into the State Department's opinion on the matter. Iran is continuing to come out and say they've won and everything is wonderful and amazing. They've been appointed to a new Board of Social Progressive Development from the UN because, you know, of course, and it all at this point as a second aircraft carrier is dispatched to the Middle East. I am waiting to see something happen because at this point a red line in the sand has been drawn. And if Iran gets to dance on the other side of the red line, it will be incredibly humiliating for this administration, which at this point has never happened on a major foreign policy negotiation or any kind of high stakes situation for the President first term or this term. So it would be a wild blunder that would kind of only come from the Eldritch Colby school of the Vice President's former crew. We'll have to see. I, I'm, I'm, I'm waiting on that one. But all I know is those who brag about how weak the United States is usually ending usually end up getting a colonoscopy by a jdam. So that aside, the Venezuelan Interim Presidente Del C. Rodriguez, she was good old Nicolas Maduro's second and stooge in the dictatorial powers of the Venezuelan socialist government. NBC sat down an interview with her and asked basically a loaded question as to whether they're cooperating with the United States. And in doing so said. Do you believe Nicolas Maduro is the legitimate, therefore elected President of Venezuela? Here was her response. Do you see Nicolas Maduro as the legitimate leader of Venezuela? So, yes, I can tell you that President Nicolas Maduro is the legitimate president. They are both President Maduro and Celicia Flores, the first lady, are both innocent. Oh, both innocent. Oh, wow. Amazing. Good luck. Good luck. You want the United States to do favors for you, to rescue you from the classic starving and extreme problems that come with all socialist governments playing this game ain't gonna work. There were presidents during the Cold War who were totally fine when a Soviet premier would say, those Americans are stupid lying bastards. We're going to walk all. We will. We will laugh as we bury you. Some presidents took it on the chin, some didn't. I don't, I don't see Trump with the ego that is the size of the state of New York taking that one on the chin. We'll have to see. Now, speaking of New York, Zoran Mamdani, the mayor of New York City is in hot water because when he got into office, he made all of these sweeping reforms. For example, forbidding the New York Police Department, forbidding the New York Police Department from going around to homeless people under bridges when the temperatures are sub zero and essentially shuttling them to shelters, to indoors, to hospitals, et cetera, to wait out the cold because you know, you get into cold affair, you die. It's not as though the homeless are making igloos. And Zoran Mumbani said that has to stop. Cops shouldn't be telling homeless people what to do. The, the homeless people have a right to camp out under the brid, you know, dirty needles and all that garbage. You know, the Philadelphia special, and wouldn't you know it, 19 people dead because Zoran Mamdani's little civics project where forbidding the cops because I guess the homeless person could say what day of the week it was in their name, therefore that meant they were fine and they weren't a threat to anybody. And so cops were forced by Mom Dani to let the homeless people freeze to death. Socialism. The youth on the left, ladies and gentlemen, the millennials and the Gen Z have the exact same flaw. Liberals age 45 and younger are willing to tear down anything around them without any regard for what it does. Maybe it's just a, you know, an add on divider. Maybe it's a load bearing wall. They won't know until they knock it down because what they know is that wall is racist and sexist and bigoted. And as Jasmine Crockett said, the last time she axed, it was probably a slave patrol, whatever that stupid logic is. They knock down the building and then they sit there dumbfounded as the building collapses in and kills the individuals inside. So Zoran Mamdani is now out saying, no, he actually didn't tell cops to do that. The New York Police Department is already like, yeah, you did. You said we couldn't. You sent social workers as though the therapist from the Santa Claus Neil is gonna run up, go, hey, it's getting a little cold out. You willing to go in? And then, you know, the drugged out homeless person goes, oh, well, I'm sorry, I'm just a social worker. I bet that means you're okay. See ya. And then they freeze to death. So just. Way to go. Maybe you could have learned basic history instead of your apron wrapping career. But, you know, so sorry. I know that those of you coming from the lap of luxury, whether you're Zoran Mamdani or Tucker Carlson, have no idea how the real world works. So you just come up with stupid theories and end up costing people their lives. So that aside, last little foreign policy update that I didn't get to the Department of State has confirmed that the left wing activist group Code Pink has indeed been taking money all this time, and also their direction directly from the Communist Party in Beijing. They're not even going to Bernie Sanders or Tim Walls. They're going directly to the source from Winnie the Pooh himself. Now, Marco Rubio has a record. No, no, no, no, no. I'm not talking like Lamonica McIver body slamming federal agents, that kind of record. No, I mean like a record, a scoreboard, if you will, of victory. Rubio, reading the data, has a history of calling things out. One of the reasons that President Trump has said Rubio is probably one of the best secretaries of State we've ever had in our nation's history. Here's Rubio in 2024 calling out, yeah, Code Pink's taking money from the commies. These protesters is the same group, this pink communist group, whatever, Code Pink. Nothing happens to these people. They habitually and consistently disrupt congressional proceedings. I thought that was a crime. According to prosecutors, nothing happens to them. They're arrested, arrested, they're put out on bail. They're fine. They're let go, and they're back out here the next day doing the exact same thing. One day, something really bad is going to happen. It's one day. Boy, those inches sure are arresting. Interesting indeed, by the way. Now we are here at I believe 9, 13 Eastern on our rebroadcast of the show. Throwing a like and a subscribe on the show and you know, telling us howdy where you're from in the live chat. That really helps us out, helps us keep on going. Although again, the craziness of the stream this evening, I certainly understand. We're really glad that you are joining us though. Seriously. It's nice to have you guys here even though it is a little later than we normally like to be out broadcasting. This brings us over to the federal judges. The federal judges are out here again. Now, understanding the Constitution usually requires that you read it. Understanding history, the stuff called precedent, usually requires that you read it and you study it. Now they've written a lot of these things down and have bound them in leather or paper. They're called books. Kind of neat. Mamdani doesn't read those. He just quotes social media posts from Eugene Debs. The warmth of collectivism. That warmth doesn't, you know, actually keep you warm through sub zero temperatures. Kind of a metaphor that he also doesn't understand. Also not understanding metaphors. Quite literally here as we're about to talk about with the federal judge known as James Boasberg of DC but also not reading history or precedent or the Constitution. James Boasberg has come out once again from his perch in assigning random cases to himself in the Washington D.C. district. He has now ordered the Trump administration to facilitate the return of all Venezuelan migrants who were deported to El Salvador's seacot prison last year. His argument states, apparently not interested in participating in this process. The government's responses essentially told the court to pound sand. So first of all, I enjoy the whole telling people to pound sand. That's not what the federal government said. They didn't say, we hear your order, we're just not listening. No, the federal government said, first of all, you have no constitutional authority to do so. Number two, according to the Alien Enemies act, if they're here and they're a gang member, yeah, they're getting shipped out. No, they're a foreign adversary. They're a foreign combatant on American soil. And number three, you know, for the bonus here for, for the Daily Double. The Daily Double, many of these individuals already had final orders of removal. They've already gotten their extra super duper due process. So they didn't tell you to go pound sand. In fact, who is James Boasberg telling to go pound sand? The Supreme Court of the United States, who has already ruled on this. And not just in general, in regard to him, Clarence Thomas has already shaken James Boasberg like a rag doll, more than an Aerosmith. So. The court offered the government the opportunity to propose steps that would facilitate hearings for the class members on their habeas corpus claims so they could, quote, challenge their designations under the Alien Enemies act and the validity of the President's proclamation. So, first of all, if you are a foreign alien enemy in the United States, you have no right to be here. If you're a foreign adversary in the United States, you are not entitled to the Miranda rights and the right to remain. All you judge in the little here, no immigration. When people turn illegals away at the border, is there like a little bag where the border patrol officer pulls out an immigration judge into court and says, all right, we have to let you in so you can have a court date? No, that's not a thing. That's not how the Constitution set it up. That's not how legal precedent started dealing with it until the 70s, when Jimmy Carter decided to make sucking a profession. So this constitutional garbage that James Boasberg is eating up like cinnamon toast crunch is in violation of a ruling by the Supreme Court of the United States. If you do not impeach these judges, then the judicial at the end of this administration will mean nothing at all. It will mean nothing at all. It will cease from existence. There will be nothing to it. I do very much recommend reading now. Speaking of really, really needing to take a sylvan reading class. U.S. district Judge Richard Leon, appointed by George W. Bush, nominated on September 10th of 2001. Just a little interesting trivia there. I noticed when I was doing my research on him, has now called the censure and the proposed demotion of Senator Mark Kelly by the Department of War a historic and unconstitutional attempt to muzzle dissent. So Hegseth responded, this will be immediately appealed. Sedition is sedition. And then in kind of a sarcastic tone, refers to him by his current naval rank of captain because he wants to demote him to commander. There is nothing in the Constitution that remotely gives any judge anywhere, anytime, precedent or legality over the United States military. None, zip, zilch, nada. The oversight for the United States military comes from Congress and Congress alone. If you do not like how the President and therefore the Secretary of War, are prosecuting the laws of the United States in regard to the military, you have two options. Number one, you can elect a different president who will appoint a different Secretary of War, or number two, you can elect different congressmen and women to then change the laws, or to act in oversight and deliver orders to the President of the United States on either the budget, the carrying out of orders, the policies and the devices of the military of the United States. Federal judges do not get to deny demotions. That's not a thing. Federal judges are not HR for the executive branch. And whatever menopausal liberal decided that federal judges just get unlimited authority and power and whatever else is nonsensical. It is ridiculous. And by the way, all of this, all of this is a symptom of this. I want it solved now. Brands of populism on the left and the right. This idea that you can ignore how the Constitution works, you can ignore how legal policy works because you want it solved right here, right now. It's not helping. And this is exactly what's come of it. It's a major, major issue. There are mechanisms in place to impeach federal judges. They're not being taken. And so federal judges are just doing whatever they want because they believe, as they're now openly writing in opinions, that their internal activism has given them the power, the scope, the ability to, and the moral authority to just do whatever they want. Essentially, they're Ron Swanson handing a card to the local sheriff that says, I can do what I want now. Not as cool as Ron Swanson did it, you know, just for the record, but again, all the same interesting stuff. That brings us over to one of my personal favorites to share with you this evening. RFK Jr. The Secretary of Health and Human Services went on Theo Vaughn's podcast in a relaxed environment and mentioned that, you know, he wasn't afraid of a certain kind of germ at a time he's telling a story because, you know, he, he used to do coke off of toilet seats.
B
And I said, I'm not scared of a germ. You know, I used to snort cocaine.
A
Off a toilet seats.
B
And yeah, I know this disease will kill me, right? I don't if I don't treat it.
A
Which means going for me, going to.
B
Meetings every day, it's, it's just bad for my life. So for me it was, it's, it was survival. And then you know, that the opportunity.
A
To help another alcoholic, that's the secret.
B
Sauce of the meetings.
A
And I gotta say, I've seen a lot of people losing their mind online. Losing, and I mean hand over fist losing it. Angry, screaming, crying and the like because they're like, my gosh, he's, he's bragging about snorting coke because he isn't afraid of germs that's not what he said. There's also a lot of criticism in the same vein for the mother of Vice President J.D. vance, who has also been clean and sober, I think. Is it 15 years now? It's either 10 years or 15 years. And him celebrating that, being proud of her right now. What Americans want are things that they can relate to, believe it or not. A compassion for those struggling with addictions, whether they be addictions regarding drug use, alcohol use, whether it be like, for example, those who have. Have been addicted to pornography, the manipulation and the abuse of the endocrine system to mess with how your brain processes wants and desires and cripples the rest of the body in order to obtain them. Compassion and a realism about those problems being dealt with that resonates with the American people. Kennedy is not there bragging about doing coke off a toilet seat. That's not what he's doing. He's pointing out how bad his addiction was. He didn't care about germs. He didn't care about any of that. He was willing to do whatever it took to get the hit. And that kind of realism, by the way, people are aggravated at, you know, the idea that, oh, there was this rumor that Hegseth used to drink or. Oh man, I don't can't believe that J.D. vance is so proud of his mother who has his addiction. Why can't our politicians be perfect whited sepulchers, everyone in their lives who is amazing? Because that's not how real life works. And average Americans in this country understand that. Again, the reason that all of the midterm come down to Pennsylvania is not because a lot of Pennsylvanians do a lot of voting, although our fantastic senior producer Lou would interject. So the reason that Pennsylvania is important specifically is because of the contrast of Dave McCormick and John Fetterman to people like Governor Josh Shapiro, who, although like Andy Beshear of Kentucky, he can put on a nice clean face and pretend to be a man of the people, as is just as snobbish and snotty about things that a lot of people in this country are dealing with or have family members who are dealing with regarding ADD or substance abuse. People like Dave McCormick and John Fetterman or Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Or J.D. vance, who are real about these issues, who are real about these struggles and aren't making up sunshiny stories about immigration being our core strength, but instead about the American indomitable spirit and the redemption of souls that resonates with people and also not getting out There and arguing and having a big screaming match with the House of the Half. With half of the House of Representatives. Yeah. That also helps. I'm not saying when I, when I suggested earlier in the show that I think that Blanche would probably make a better Attorney General than an Attorney General, Pam Bondi. I'm not saying that because she gets out there and, you know, every once in a while she has fun and she's informal. No, that's fine. But the way that RFK does kind of informality here. Personally, this is just talking as just a Hoosier who the Daily Signal has chosen to be their flagship show. As a guy, I find that incredibly powerful, and I resonate with that. It's not pandering. It's just casual conversation that does, in fact, endear you to individuals in these long form conversations. And you can then put on the, the suit and go be a serious political leader. Those are things that I very, very much appreciate about that particular con. And by the way, Doug Phelps over in the comments section makes an excellent point. The reason that Trump doesn't drink is because he watched his older brother die from alcohol poisoning. Yeah, absolutely. Again, that those who have heard that story before, it is an incredibly powerful thing. And I'm sorry, if I, if I had said something to the degree of where I said Trump and drinking rumors, I meant Hegseth. Drinking rumors that I didn't care for. If I said Trump instead of Hegseth. And that's why those comments are there. I apologize. That was a. I misspoke. Yeah. The story of President Trump not drinking and understanding the power of addictions and being very open and honest, saying, yeah, I kind of have an addictive personality. Have you seen me on my phone? I'm on my phone a lot. And the media goes, trump says he has an addictive alcoholics personality. Like, that's a dig. Recognizing your limits. Yeah, again, I'm, I'm very, very much appreciative. Doug, you didn't. All right, thank you very much for the quick pass back there. Again, thank you guys for tuning into our later show this evening on the rebroadcast. Now, unfortunately, not everyone is doing things quite like RFK Jr. I'm gonna rag on my generation, the Millennials just one more time here because there is a lady who goes by the name of Elizabeth Dempsey Beggs, and she is running for Virginia's first House seat, and her video for it is just a straight up Instagram influencer reel. Now, I perhaps too optimistically said a couple of days ago that hopefully the age of influencers was leaving. And well, here we have someone doing kind of the, how do I say this very tactly and in a way that won't offend anyone. The influencer kind of pseudo hoe kind of a way, as one influencer put in response, has her shorts pulled all the way up her ahem. And doing like the hey, look at my cleavage when I bend over workout video. But also I'm announcing that I'm running for Congress. Here you go. When I get sworn into Congress, I'll be the youngest mom to have ever served. So I'll be the youngest mom to have ever served. But again, she's doing like the workout kind of eye candy Instagram video. And I'm not telling you that to brag. It's because it's ridiculous. I mean, do you know the youngest dad to have ever served hopefully probably wore more clothes when he was talking about running for Congress. Yeah, exactly. Hi, I'm Elizabeth. I'm a former tank commander in the United States army and I'm a 29 year old mom raising four young kids. Okay, I'm just going to level with you. I don't care if it was this. That's really prudish. How could you? I'm sorry. It would probably be best for your children that later on in life people weren't able to point to them pictures of your camel toe displayed on your Congress running ad commander. Perhaps it would befit the unit if you wore something the influencer culture's garbage. Well, she has to get out there and be all things to all people. There's the same argument that suggested that, oh well, in order to witness to people, you got to get out in the bars and meet them where they're at. Not necessarily endorsing the lifestyle. I know I don't. And again I have. I love that she's mom, she's running for Congress. I think that's good. I agree with the vice president's opinion that there should be more parents and government that that understand the rationality and the importance of having your kids futures on the line. That's stellar. But getting out there and saying you're a mom does not exempt you from the fact that you're making an Instagram whore video. Put on some clothes. And by the way, there are a couple of famous sitcom episodes where an individual tries to impress people. For example, a guy by wearing like ridiculously tight shorts. There's like 415 bulge jokes and it's really, really weird and awkward and the end result is don't do that. Or the moral at the end of the story, don't do that. In fact, if you ever have the hankering to make a video like that to run for Congress, I have a cool acronym for you. It's Don't D O N T. It stands for don't. You're welcome. I know we're learning all kinds of things here on the Tony Kinnid cast today. And by the way, it's not just me saying this. A vast majority of even people on the left say, look, the Democrats are just getting way too liberal progressive here. Harry Anton, the results from that special election, that Democratic primary in the 11th district in New Jersey speak to a larger point within, in the Democratic Party, and that is that the far left is significantly more powerful than they once were. This sort of gives the game away here. Democrats who identify as very liberal or conservative. You know, there used to be a lot of conservative Democrats. Right back in 1999, 26% of Democrats self identified as conservative. Just 5% said that they were very liberal. It was a smidgen, a smidgen, a smidgen. Now that far left has gained considerably in power. Look at this. Now we're about talking, talking about a fifth of Democrats, 21% said what he is saying here, just to, you know, zoom out here for a second. He is making the case that Republicans are moderating and by the way, in, in a, in a couple of, a couple of ways here as well. But Democrats, where some used to say that they were moderating and, and kind of becoming more conservative centrist, because again, there's a lot of Bill Clinton Democrat Republicans. I know I argue with them quite often. You know, I'm glad that they're here. There's. It's good to argue about these things in party against. Why I actually don't mind the House of Representatives being diverse. If Mike Lawler from New York wants to go toe to toe with Tim Burett from Tennessee and argue what values of conservatism should be sweet. But on the Democrats, there are no conservative Democrats left. There are none. And those who are, you know, going right into the Soviet national anthem are all of them. They're very liberal. That conservative part of the Democratic Party, adios, amigos, goodbye. Just 8%. And when you combine the 21% who are very liberal with those who say that they're somewhat liberal, we're talking about three in five Democrats who identify as either somewhat liberal or very liberal with the very liberals. A much larger portion of the party, the far left, which used to just be a small smidgen within the Democratic Party, has gained considerable power, as you saw in New Jersey's 11th district. What about Democratic socialists? Like the likes of, you know, you've got Bernie Sanders and Bernie Sanders. What about him and his types of deodorant and his pudding running around with AOC around the country? Or Zora Mandani here in New York City, the homeless people are dying. Less mouths to feed in the bread line. Where does that line up? Okay, so on a separate question where you essentially CNN asked this last year, which was, okay, Democrats who think on themselves as Democratic socialists, among all Democrats, including those independents who lean towards the Democratic Party, look at this. We're talking about a third. A third of all Democrats who identify as Democratic socialists. Bernie Sanders and Zora Mandani are not alone. They are a considerable part of the Democratic base at this point. Tear it all down and don't worry about who the building falls on. 33% of all Democrats, 42% of Democrats under age 35. Yeah, you excited? You excited for it? But they'll run as moderates though, right? They'll run. I'm just a mom influencer. I'm Albigail Spanberger. I'm gonna be moderate and wonderful and friendly. You know, just. It's gonna be great. And then they turn out to be just as awful as their counterparts. The one, the two exceptions to this, number one, Jared golden, number two, John Fetterman, and even then, John Fetterman still votes more in line with Dem socialists than anything else because populist style economics is by its very nature socialist. Sorry, I hate to, hate to tell you that, but when the government, like regulates the credit card industry, when the government regulates the medical industry, when the government regulates. That's kind of the lean socialist, no matter who it is. So that's kind of problematic. Now, the social side of issues, that again, very, very bizarre stuff from the left, from the right side of the aisle, again, this kind of I want it solved now. But also being too timid to do anything is gonna bite the right in the butt. But I have good news, and the good news is this. The economy, which is. I had a pretty fun debate earlier today with Adam Mockler over on the left and then Brad Palumbo, who's a libert. And I enjoyed talking about a couple of things with them culturally. But we also got to talk at the end kind of about the Trump economy. And I made the case. Hey, yeah, that's right. There are a couple of things that are still rather expensive, but the economy is trending in the right direction. There are some really good things that are on the way and there are a lot of certain things that Americans were very upset about. The high prices of that have absolutely, absolutely gone down considerably. And then I was told, nuh, no, there are, there are no things that are going down considerably. Eggs, all dairy related products. Looking at meats other than ground beef, again, because of the current import of Argentinian beef and other things on the international market stage. Poultry, fish, non alcoholic beverages including coffee and tea. The oils, pasta and spaghetti, white bread, certain kinds of fats, pork, tomatoes. Those are on the decline now. Finally, they're on the decline Once you get through tax season and then things kind of reset. The tax season resets everyone's economic mindset, especially in midterm year at any speaking. That's the data. If things go Trump's way or if the Supreme Court rules against the tariff and then you have a wild economic snap forward on an investment side, Trump's in a reverse catch 22 here. At that point it becomes a messaging game. A messaging game. And in a messaging game, whoever is cocky, whoever's flamboyant, whoever says everything's wrong and we're all going to die, release the criminals, burn the Constitution. Whoever does that is going to get slacked in the midterms. Right now it's undecided. There are some really good actors on the right who are kind of being floated for some positions of leadership. Some of the loud and annoying people. Howard Lutnick, Peter Navarro. You haven't heard from Peter Navarro in a while. You notice that people who are better at it, they're getting a little more airtime. That's a good thing. That's an excellent thing. Now just here at the end of the show, I'd like to take a few of your questions, mail time related, if you are interested. I was going to play an interview that we did on Citizen Portal. Incredible new tool. We're going to upload that separately over on our YouTube channel. Specifically, uh, it's a phenomenal. From the phenomenal new tool organization piece from the guy who founded Ancestry.com, essentially opening up transparency to government and older documents that, for example, certain search algorithms don't like you looking up old news stories and articles when you try to find them, when you're talking to people about important things. This tool is going to rectify that and is already doing so. So we'll upload that here in a Little bit instead. If you have any mail time questions, we'll throw those in the chat for me over on YouTube. We won't even worry about some of the other stuff on the, you know, some of their stuff. Oh one thing. Can she be a commander in the Army? I, I. To answer your, your question about the particular Virginia congresswoman, you can still be the CEO, the commanding officer, the commander of a battalion, even though your rank is not like in the Navy. Oh, five is a command. Is commander the rank of commander in the Army? There's no officer rank for that. You know, second lieutenant, first lieutenant, captain, major, light colonel, full colonel and then the staff. So when you, when you look at those things, you still refer to the commanding officer as a commander. She apparently was the CEO of some kind of armor or tank something. I didn't get a lot of information on that. She wasn't featuring that in her video though. She wasn't talking about her veteran service except as kind of a punchline in. She was featuring again her, her lady bits. Oh yeah, how could I forget? Also, sorry, I didn't, I didn't list gas prices as also dropping precipitously, but they have quite, quite largely, muchly many muchly. They have absolutely. I just, I don't usually buy gas at the grocery store unless I'm cashing in those Kroger points. You know what I'm saying? All right, let's look at some of the questions here for us. Just a few. See we'll just catch a catch a few questions here. When will Tony go to Milwaukee? That's from Eric Wetak. To answer your question, hopefully not anytime soon. I have no desire to go to Milwaukee. There is still a hit placed out on me by Antifa, which I'm okay with going to Chicago, but I don't know, I'm not really interested in heading to Minneapolis. If I was going to go, I would hit up that fireman's restaurant which was burnt down and I think rebuilt and reopened during the George Floyd riots. I'd go and service that particular restaurant. I might also go and attend a service in City Church. Sounds like a really nice congregation full of some pretty excellent people. David, I, I can't, I can't talk about that. Comment on Stream My goodness. From Hit Turbine. What is going to be done about Boasberg? He gets away with defying SCOTUS until there is. When the Constitution was set up, an early precedent for judges was put in place. The idea was that only smart people would be considered to be judges in the first place. And if someone was a corrupt judge, what that what would be done would be so flagrant and super bad and so ultra partisan that like everyone would just would get rid of them. Well now the very essence of politics in this country has become so partisan. There's no foundation that a lot of Americans that are active citizens voting, believe in care about that. All of this partisanship has just become immediately heavy. There's not really a process that's set in place like you know, press here. If the judge is bad and it needs to go to SCOTUS for review immediately, there's really not something there. House has to start impeachment proceedings. So who's gonna do it? And then by the way, if House impeaches him, the Senate still has to convict and remove and they're not gonna because again Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins see doing things and it scares them to death. I mean it terrified like Rosie o' Donnell and, and vegetables. Terrifying. Ah, no, I don't, I don't think that's, I don't think there's anything that's gonna, gonna happen there. So that particular side, yeah, I, I, I think that's probably what's going to be, you know, kind of the issue there. One of the comments about like I thought I'd seen something maybe perhaps I did not. Any other questions that you've got? What are your thoughts on the defeat the bill to defund the kill switch requirement for new cars? I'm not entirely sure what I believe about the defeat of the bill to kill the kill switch requirement for new cars. Probably I'd think a lot of the same things. There could of course be individuals in the House who are trying to kill things. I'm guessing this died in the House. If it died in the House, then it's probably because someone snuck something in or it wasn't worded. Right. A lot of bills do in fact get killed because they're written like garbage. If it made it to the Senate, I'm not, don't have a lot of information on this particular bill yet. In this particular instance though. Yeah, I don't quite believe that. If it made it to the Senate they would have, they would have brought it forward anyway. They'd have to glue it to a bill and. Yeah, I doubt it. I thought Boasberg was being investigated already. Yes, but not for the same thing. You don't just like glue on charges. And even though Brandon Gill's filed impeachment proceedings, it still has to be brought forward in the House. And again, there's the reason the midterms matter so much. There are a lot of people right now that are like, well, I'm just going to vote for a Democrat because the Republicans don't do anything, which is literally the number one way to always ruin something. There are some Indiana Republicans who have become absolute morons carrying that banner. I'm going to vote for Evan. By who? Because he's not Diego Morales. And obviously that will be a lot better. That'll wake Republicans up. Yeah, sure, it's only how we lost Michigan and California to become permanent hell holes. But, you know, hey, what could go wrong? There is a big import. There could have been an opportunity to take the Senate this year. There could have been. Now, I'm sure if the economy really kicks into hyperdrive, you hear some people around June or July, maybe even me floating the idea that it's possible. I don't think so. Now at this point, If Republicans got 60 votes, well, then you would be able to maybe start doing some things. There's going to have to be some genuine goal setting. Right now politics is just kind of swing as it comes. And you talk about it during the news cycle and you just kind of throw it at the wall and see, see what sticks. There's no goal. And by the way, we saw this with Minneapolis. One of the reasons that the Minneapolis Metro surge operation did not go very well is because when Bavino and Gnome sent everyone in, there was no like, okay, here are our goals. Number one, we are going to do this, this, this and this. It was, yeah, there's some fraud. We're going to go take a look at it. Here comes the dhs. And then things got chaotic. Now things were going to get chaotic anyway. But if you could at the end, go have Tom Holman go, okay, here are the goals we had. You know, goal number one, we met goal number two, we did not meet goal number three, 68% completed. People like that define the terms. The problem in politics is once you define the terms, you're responsible for it. Once you say the show's gonna come out at 7pm Eastern, it better. Or you better have a good reason why it's not coming out at 7pm Eastern. And then you have someone stubborn like me who says, screw it, we're gonna stay up 9:42pm don't care and do the show again anyway. In politics, once you say, I'm gonna do it, you're gonna do it. Great example is the Epstein files. Great example. Bondi and then Patel and Bongino what did they say? There is. There is all of this stuff. We know it. We know you know it to be true. Like, we know it. Deep down in our biggity bones, we know it. And then when you get in there and go, oh, crap, we don't actually have all of that stuff here. To deliver it all, you've already promised. Number one rule in tech and in product sales, under promise, over deliver. Never the other way around. You over promise and you under deliver, you're screwed. Bondi gets out there, hands a bunch of binders to influencers that say nothing. You asked for it. No. No amount of yelling in Congress is gonna fix that. You did it to yourself. You promise. You promised. So don't do it with ice, too. Don't get out there and announce that you've got the moon. I got the moon for you, Mary. I got the moon just for you. You don't have to do that. But if you list goals, you gotta be responsible for them. That's, that's the rule. Because now you have a lot of people who. They don't matter what the rules are. They're, they're. They've decided. You've already promised it, so it doesn't matter what evidence comes out, you know, left, right here or there. They've already decided everyone's a pedophile. So it doesn't matter what evidence there is now. Too late. They're already convinced. Once the tinfoil is glued on, it's really hard to shave it off. So don't put tinfoil on people's heads for them. And in the case of goals, don't be too outlandish. But also don't do what the moderate Republicans do, which is never have any goals, ever do nothing, and then say everything's fine. Didn't work very well for Chernobyl. So that particular, that particular, you know. Do you have an opinion on defunding things instead of banning them?
B
No.
A
I think that Congress likes to talk about the idea of, we don't like this policy, so we're just going to take money from it so that no one can do it. Money usually gets. End up getting. Usually ends up getting stapled to it or pulled from somewhere else anyway. So I really don't appreciate that as kind of a mechanism. Congress and the laws that have come out again, they've really largely been abdicated over to the agencies who just write rules and regulations. Congress does very little anymore. That's why they make such a big deal of kicking and dancing and screaming in committees. So you'll be impressed with them, you know, you'll be really, really impressed and you'll talk, tell everybody. Oh, wow. This is incredible. This is amazing. You're doing such a wonderful job. Wow, look at all you doing the. Doing the. Not doing anything. What is, what are Massey and Ro Khanna actually doing in legislation right now? Nothing. They're just screaming about the Epstein files. But that they, they can then tell you they're doing, oh, we're doing something. You're not not making Americans lives any better at all. It's all theatrics and it's sold to you as though they're doing something. No. So that stuff aside, I would say that maybe it was not the show that we'd planned, but it was a good hoot. So thank you very much for tuning in tonight. We will make sure to get that one interview up. Wow. We didn't even talk about the two foreign nationals indicted in Chicago as part of the $10 million healthcare fraud scheme. We'll have to talk about that tomorrow. So thanks for tuning into the Tony Kinit cast here on the Daily Signal, nationally syndicated, first on 93 WIBC. Be on the lookout over on YouTube if you haven't subscribed yet, you should. We will be getting that I'd say pretty decent interview up on Citizen Portal here pretty soon. Take care. The episode is laced with Kinnett’s characteristic sarcasm and middle-America perspective.

Tony on Walz:
“All Tim Walz wants: money. That’s his entire approach… Somali businesses. That might put up a little red flag for you…” (09:52)

For listeners who missed the episode:
Expect a rapid-fire, unvarnished tour through immigration crises, welfare fraud, congressional gridlock, and the decline of substantive policy leadership, all cut with Kinnett’s signature derision of emotional manipulation and performative politics.
