Kennett Tony Kennett Tony Kennett Tony Kennett Tony Kennett Tony Kennett Host of the Tony Kennett Cast let's get down to business. You're listening to the Tony Kennett cast on 93 WIBC on CYTV here on the Daily Signal. Welcome welcome to the Tony Kennett cast here on the Daily Signal. Nationally syndicated first on 93 WIBC. We have quite a lot of news and of course you know me, not much for the further ado. So right now the Senate has just barely, and I mean barely, by the skin of a few senators baggy, baggy chins have passed the Save America act to the floor. So this particular version of the Save America act, in its beautiful sort of omnibus, but pretty clean all things considered for a bill titled the Save America act has now been slotted scheduled. It is headed to the final vote. Now Senate Republicans, if they abide by the rules of the filibuster, they need 60 votes to get that bill through and then to the president's desk. This is like the 15th iteration that Mike Johnson has got the House to cobble together and send over to the Senate. Now let's get right to the importance of the filibuster because this is what you're gonna be hearing all about from now until the end of the week at least. So the 60 vote rule, been around since the Civil War era, essentially means you need 60 votes in order to gain cloture, not closure. That's for you and your ex cloture. And this means that the United States wouldn't just be governed by the 51 vote majority, but you started a couple of years ago getting a couple of senators and representatives, Democrat leaders, let's call them, who started to say the exact opposite. For example, Nancy Pelosi in 2024 makes a big difference.
B
That would take 2/3 in the Senate.
A
You think the Democrats can get 2
B
thirds in the Senate?
A
No, it doesn't get 2 thirds. No it doesn't. I mean, 60 votes is the Senate now, but if we win 50 plus one in the Senate, 50 plus the Vice President, we can overturn the 60 vote rule. The filibuster. The filibuster, and pass it with a 51 vote margin. Now, why does this matter? Hacks for all? Why haven't the Democrats overturned it before? Well, the answer comes down to Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin. You say, who are those? Those are two former senators. Now, those among you who happen to own a magnifying glass, a hearing aid perhaps, who keep their eye a little bit close to what's going on around them will note that I said the word former. Kyrsten Sinema is no longer in the Senate. She said goodbye to the Senate and is back to those sandy shores of Arizona. Joe Manchin flipped off the Democrats and said, see it? So what does that mean for the Democrats in the Senate right now? Well, they're going to nuke the filibuster as soon as they get back into power. Now, Republicans don't have to eternally nuke the filibuster. They can do the walking, talking, slightly moving filibuster, meaning that you can force Cory Booker of New Jersey to take an Imodium, drink a huge gallon and a half of water, and then hopefully, if he doesn't have to pee, stand up there for 24, 48, 36, 96 hours and talk his little heart out in order to keep the Save America act from passing over on the Senate side and heading to the desk of the President. Now, I'm going to level with you, that ain't happening. That, that's not going to happen. Because just to get the bill to the floor of the Senate, they already lost Lisa Murkowski, who, to be fair, you know, she, she struggles. But on the flip side of things, you have senators like John Barrasso, who was not always the biggest pusher of the Save America act and, you know, nuking some filibustrial rules. He's actually gone to the Senate floor today and, you know, he's at least talking the talk and walked the walk and voting it forward to the floor.
B
10 million illegal immigrants flooded into our
A
country while Joe Biden was president and the Democrats were in charge in the United States Senate and House. And now the Democrats want those same
B
illegal immigrants to have an impact on
A
the elections in the United States. That is a pretty heavy claim to make. It's gotta be in order to stop me from taking the sip of my coffee as I was prepping for it to make it very quite clear, hey, illegal immigrants are being given driver's licenses in states from Wisconsin to California. And boy, is the evidence stacked up that even in red states, when they do investigations on voter fraud, we are finding voter fraud. And so why shouldn't people prove their citizenship? Why should voters, once they register to vote, be left on the voter rolls for years? I searched this afternoon just for you on my handy dandy cell phone which contains a 765 number. That's an Indiana area code. I'm still getting notifications that I am registered to vote in Wisconsin. I have begged, I have pleaded, I have tried to get my name removed from the voter rolls in Jefferson County, Wisconsin. It's not happening. Systems lag. People make old voter rolled copy overs. The name and the rule of the game. In California, we just showed footage yesterday of people trying to Pay homeless people $5 to sign petitions to register for ballots. That is all kinds of illegal.
B
I believe only citizens of the United States should be allowed to vote in American elections. And I believe you should have to present a photo identification card in order to vote.
A
Now, this has Democrats, of course, as you know, as you have heard for weeks and weeks and weeks, this has made them very upset. And I mean, it's got them so upset they really don't even know the common line against the Save America Act. It has changed now multiple times. But you know, if you perhaps wanted a quick refresher, Chuck Schumer just bagged them all up into one. The Senate Minority Leader, who enjoys a lower approval rating than aids, Chuck Schumer has stepped forward and go sign. The Democrats will not allow the SAVE act to pass through the Senate no matter how long it takes. That's because the SAVE act purges millions of Americans from voter rolls, kills online mail and voter Registration, rejects common IDs to register to vote, forces Americans to register in person. Now that's true, and I'm sorry, what's so bad about that? Forces Americans to register to vote in person. Oh, no. The horror. I'm sorry, how, how many constituents out there are the grandparents from Willy Wonka, the Chocolate Charlie and The chocolate factory? Bedridden 36 hours of the day. I mean, what, are they resting six feet below ground in Chicago? Well, you know, and then of course, my favorite, the last one penalizes married women who have changed their last names. Now, it doesn't actually do any of that, but of course, Chuck Schumer's big, huge push, what he's trying to make the case is that It's Jim Crow 2.0, which is incredible because we've had like 13 Jim Crow 2.0s at this point. Ted Cruz couldn't help but get a final quip in about Democrats and Jim Crow today before again, the bill made its way to the floor. The American people do not support voter ID, Mr. President. Our Democrat colleagues are fond of bellowing into the TV cameras that photo ID to vote is Jim Crow. They tell us with mock earnestness. Now, I will admit our Democrat colleagues should be experts in Jim Crow because it was Democrat politicians who passed the Jim Crow laws. Now, again, good zinger, nice mic drop moment. Okay, we're getting out the big guns. We're standing at the podium in the middle of the room full of like next to nobody. Yay. This is exciting. So how did the votes actually shake out? So in a in a matter of pretty interesting surprise, Susan Collins of Maine, who's having not perhaps the easiest time up there in the Northeast, she voted a yes and so did whoever was voting on behalf of Mitch McConnell of Kentucky. Yertle the Turtle cast a yay. Now, again, a little of this might be a smidge performative and we're going to talk about that with Rob Bluey here in a bit. There is one thing I wanted to mention because we do aff bit of pointing out the extra absurd. So before we get to the most absurd, I want to point out just the basic absurd that is. Though we do praise John Fetterman for being quite a moderate and a normal person. He is still on the left side of the aisle. He is still a Democrat in the Senate and did vote no on the Save America act today. Blunt, Rochester, Cantwell, Cortez, Masto, Fetterman, Gillibrand, Kelly. So in the reading of the votes, got a quick no there. I know, not the most exciting video source, but it's a source all the same. So that brings us to the most insane, the most ridiculous, ridonkulous case. Now, this was usually a case related, or should I say reserved, for Maisie Hirono. Maisie Hirono. They usually reserve the dumbest of the dumb things to say in Congress. But Schumer wasn't going to let her get away without a fight today and instead got out there and announced that it would be easier to get all rootin tootin AR15 shootin than it would be to register to vote. Here's Chuck Schumer telling us all about how apparently registering to vote would be easier, or, excuse me, more difficult than grabbing an ar.

I Want to thank all of our guests for coming. I know them all and they're great, great advocates and great spokespeople for doing what's right in America. I want to thank Alex Padilla. He's the ranking member of our rules committee and he has been such a
A
strong leader on this issue.
B
He feels it like Joe and I do, passionately.
A
And like all the people. Ah yes. That has all the hallmarks of a Chuck Schumer little speech to begin. First he gets up there and he sounds like you just took an Ambien and are trying to stay awake while watching how it's made. That's a difficult task in and of itself. Number two, he says a really weird word for no reason. The way that man pronounces passionately makes me want to take a shower while he's kissing up to another dude. Kind of weird radio crew. We have to send you off to the commercial. Sorry. We're going to continue on the livestream more of Chuck's passionate speech. It's the Tony Kinnit cast here on the Daily Signal without further a passionate
B
do that this is really one of the most pernicious pieces of legislation, the
A
pernicious pumpernickel pesticide of pescatarian that ever packed a punch that I've ever seen.
B
And they try to disguise it because they know how bad it is.
A
They put the fake comic glasses and a mustache and the big nose on it.
B
So let me say a few words. Thank you very much.
A
Please don't grab your suspenders while you talk to me like this. It makes me very uncomfortable.
B
You know, Americans are watching in horror as Donald Trump bumbles this country into war. He's tanking our economy, driving up costs for families. But what are Republicans prioritizing? Maga Republicans in the Senate this week. They are conspiring with Donald Trump to undermine democracy and disenfranchise millions of Americans by putting pushing the SAVE Act.
A
So I'm not going to play the entire five minute speech. He goes on to talk about how, oh the, the, it would be so easy. You could just go out and buy an AR15 easier than it would be to register to vote. But instead I want to give an answer to one of the live chat comments. So a guy named Philip in the comments said, can anyone illustrate how the SAVE act improves voting or does something that we don't already have, like proving citizenship, which you have to do anyway. No, you don't. You do not already have to do that. In states like Wisconsin, you can already obtain a driver's license if you are an illegal immigrant, which would therefore allow you to then go and register to vote. We have seen this in Washington State, for example, in Minnesota, you can vouch if you have your photo ID for seven other people who do not have their id. States and jurisdictions do not have the same standard for voter id. A lot of states that just so happen to be predominantly blue states, for example, they don't require photo id. So if you show up and say that you're somebody else and you have the id, well, who's to say otherwise they don't have an FBI ink blotter and description right there in front of you. This is the most popular bill that has made it to the Senate. In the modern era, the only more popular bill that could be passed through Congress would be condemning the Cracker Barrel rebrand. There is no bill at all that could possibly garner the super majority, not only in the approval of Republicans, not only of independents, but also of Democrats. And instead, again, Chuck Schumer has decided to make this the task du jour. Now this isn't the most energetic or exciting outrage, of course, you have to look in the House of Representatives for that. Representative Jamie Raskin of Maryland just about lost his marble. I saw his hairline recede at least an inch and a half during this interview. They've got no program for the country other than disenfranchisement, voter suppression, the SAVE act, which I think violates the 19th Amendment. When you tell American women you bring your driver's license and you bring your
B
birth certificate and if they don't match,
A
which they won't for 69 million American women, then you need to bring a passport. So she said, me, I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. After you get married and change your name, you're supposed to change your driver's license anyway. Amazing. You know, they don't let you do that. They don't go next. Now you have a different name on all five different IDs, right? That's not a thing. This is a made up thing. But the weird white knighting for married women again, all of a sudden. It's funny how they automatically know what a woman is. Wow. Oh, amazing. It doesn't violate the 19th Amendment of the Constitution. Absolutely ridiculous. But the number one sponsor of ramen noodles, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, also showed up with a very powerful argument. Senator John Thune says he will bring the SAVE act to a vote in the Senate. Republicans say that it's, this is just about voters having to show ID and proof of citizenship in order to vote. What's wrong with that? Look how she's shaking her head as though that isn't what this is about. As it clearly states in the bill, this is about one thing, ensuring that it is much harder for people who are unlikely to go to the polls and vote for Republicans and that making it much harder for them to cast their ballot putting ops. Oh my. She just said the thing. Making it harder for people to vote for Democrats. What an odd thing to say. We got to bring the radio crew back. We got more news to cover. Don't go anywhere. It's the Tony Kennett cast. Good evening, everybody. This is the Tony Kennett cast on 93 WIBC. Welcome back to the Tony Kenneth cast. There's a lot of news. We'll get back to some of the vote, the Save America act stuff here in a minute. More news to cover before we get into the ancillary clips and commentary in Iran, Israel has now broadcast a large message to the Iranian people in Persian, in Farsi, in a couple of languages that there is no way on God's green earth. I'm going to try to pronounce the name of that. Iranians can begin going outside, in essence, because the IDF is flying craft over in an attempt to protect certain western regions in Iran from IRGC attacks of against those in public. Here is is this from today with Israel's defense minister, our chief of staff, the head of the Mossad, the chief of air force, our senior commanders. In the past 24 hours, we knocked out two of the terrorist chieftains, the top terrorist chieftains of this tyranny. Don't get ahead of me, Netanyahu. We're going to get there. Our aircraft are hitting the terror operatives on the ground, in the crossroads, in the squares. This is meant to enable the brave people of Iran to celebrate the festival of fire.
C
So celebrate and happy Nowruz.
A
I mean, again, for all of the supposed anti Islamic sentiment that Israel is supposed to be purporting, attempting to protect the people, to get out and celebrate religious holidays either for Islam or for Zoroastrianism or traditional, I should say Kurdish or Persian holidays, you know, interesting to say not in the least. Now, he mentioned two more leaders that have been killed. One of them is important to the inside of the country. One of them is important to the outside of the country. So on the inside of the country, Basij Force commander Ghola Mareza Soleimani has received a free ticket to meet with Jesus face to face. He is responsible for a lot of the internal coordination on the protest slaughters that mowed down between 35 and 40,000 people in a couple of weeks. The bigger of the two individuals, however, though, that was killed this morning. Security chief Ali Larajani. Now, he said all kinds of things on social media about how the United States is doomed and Iran is totally fine. And then, you know, the United States is going to relent and Israel is going to be squashed and Turkey is going to learn its lesson, which is kind of a weird group to attack. This is essentially was supposed to be the latest leader of Iran. So after Al Khamenei got oofed, after the first president got oofed, after the second president found his very fine way to, you know, then we got to Muqsaba Khomeini, which released a statement through a newscaster. They brought a cardboard portrait, a rectangular one. No, I know we've seen all the AI, you know, the fathead, you know, cutouts that you, you'd bring. They trotted that out before this, this assembly of Iranians. And they chanted and cheered Makhtaba Khomeini, only he lost at least one leg, maybe two, and then was in a coma and then also turns out is gay. So he's in having some real rough times. The real guy behind the scenes since Khomeini's death would be security chief Ali Larjani, who is also now dead. So in case you're wondering, we're going through the line of secession here. Before we get to the janitor in chief, the parliament speaker is now the guy they have. Talking tough makes a big difference. It's not making a big difference. It's not. It's not going to make a big difference at all. In fact, the Iranian regime is beginning to collapse inward on itself. Now he is, he is getting out there with the real tough talking statements. He's getting out there all tough text. Here's how it's going to be in Iran. I appreciate, I appreciate this. I'll translate. Who says the Strait of Hormuz will never return to what it once was? Its security has been disrupted. In the future, it will be part of a new security framework that is not dictated at all by the Americans. This has all the weight of a Jim Cramer prediction on cnbc. No, absolutely not. Now, at this moment, the most likely outcome, we're going to talk about the NATO countries and other countries and how all of this is coming together. This is going to end with the United States taking Car Island We've already talked about this on a previous show. I'm not going to belabor that point. And then the United States will be deciding how much oil goes to China. While the President of the United States at the moment is currently engaging in a serious amount of diplomatic pressure regarding not necessarily the NATO countries, at least not in this way. But with Japan, who still wants to buy oil from the Iranians, that's not really going to go very well. It's not. And for a long term procedure here, the United States is going to finish the particular actions in Iran. Not again because of some large scale nation building exercise, but because the United States is simply not going to let the regime use one coral island to control 20% of the world's petroleum. Not going to be a thing. Now the President of the United States talked about this today regarding Operation Epic Fury and kind of the path forward here he was talking about this.
C
We had to take that operation and we did. And it was very successful. And it continues, frankly, as somebody said very they could leave today and it would take 10 years to rebuild the damage that's been done. But I think we have to make it a little bit more permanent because no other president has to go through this. And we shouldn't have any other president having to go through this kind of a thing. And if they didn't want to do it, if for some reason they didn't want to do it, would have the same problem. We don't ever want to have that problem again. Not with lunatics. You can't have lunatics controlling nuclear weaponry.
A
Now this is something that leaves a lot of people with a bit of heartburn. And I'm going to level with you. If you're going to do something, do it right. Do it right. Don't do this nation building well with everyone yearns for the heart of freedom. Don't do that crap. Don't declare mission accomplished when it's not. Don't go in there and set up a bunch of diplomats and say, oh, these are the moderate. Don't do that. Nope. Teddy Rooseveltian imperialism said this after we liberated Cuba from Spain, then things got a lot better because the United States said we're not screwing around. After the United States took the Philippines from Spain, we said we're not screwing around. The United States, when it administrates a territory correctly or when it administrates the flow of resources through a territory correctly. For example, Venezuela. Remind me how the Venezuelan oil situation is going, right? Oh, it's actually going remarkably well. So in this situation. Again, we're going to get into probably a more clear outline from the secretary of the treasury here in just a second. But regarding the progress of the situation so far, I got a level with you here. I'm more inclined to, though, as the administration's been very clear on going into this, a bump in the price in Brent crude oil is in fact a temporary thing. Expectation of timeline on this because with every passing day, with every passing week now during the third week, markets going up, fertilizers, gas, everything, and the world is really worried about shortages and also the inflationary effect here and abroad.
B
Can we just be clear here? It's two weeks.
A
It's two weeks. And you know, I know the media likes to move things along. We see these headlines and that's part
B
of the Iranian strategy.
A
And it's very unfortunate that because of
B
a dislike for President Trump, not you, but a lot of mainstream media are trying to speed this up, trying to
A
make it into some crisis that it's not. And on the other side of this,
B
if you look at longer dated crude, you look at future inflation expectations, they're both very well anchored and this will
A
end and I don't know how many weeks it will be, but on the
B
other side of this, the world will
A
be safer and we will be better supplied. So the backwardation of the market, you think is correct. $80 oil in a couple months, I think probably much lower. I would agree with that. And again, because I, my, my guess, my estimation is probably 60. Again, that includes releasing a lot of United States oil to do the stuff that it needs to do. That means actually moving forward on a lot of deregulation and yes, finishing the job. So China and Iran don't get to squeeze things whenever they want. Now we're going to send the radio crew off to commercial and then in the meantime, we're going to talk about the situation on the ground and the supposed huge resignation today. It's the Tony knitted cast here on the Daily Signal. Now, what is going on inside Iran? It's a lot easier to say now than it was a week ago because the building that housed both a lot of Iran's Internet infrastructure as well as a lot of Iran's jamming capabilities. Essentially, they had a lot of the equipment and the remotes that they used to activate certain jamming equipment housed in the same building. So now they still have some jamming equipment out there to try to block the Internet connection and for example, jam connection to Starlink satellite Internet devices. But the remotes were blown up in the same building. Talk about all your eggs in one halal basket. Now, that said, there are a couple of on the ground notes that we do need to bring to your attention. A clip posted by our friends over at Tusitv points out that protests are still continuing and these protests that are still continuing are doing so amidst quite a serious amount of counter gunfire from an increasingly desperate regime. Enchanting the fire, the lighting of fire, fireworks, that kind of a thing. Now, this is contrasted with a regime that is truly beginning to panic. And when I say truly beginning to panic, ammunition is running out from the regime. Additionally, there is no direction from Tehran itself on what to do internally. They already, two weeks ago now they went to a regional defense strategy, meaning you're on your own, which is causing now some of the regime's security officials to just blindly fire at its civilians just everywhere. Doing this is going to result in again likely the Kurds declaring a large chunk of western Iran to be independent. You might see a similar kind of ethnic breakaway in the east, although again, that's right up close against Afghanistan. They got a lot going on and they're taking a lot of the resources at the moment. You really should expect to see some type of operation in the near future that essentially involves a little gun running. Now, nobody runs guns to the Middle east or to Mexico quite like Obama. So I'm sure that, you know, it would be good to see a little fast and all furious going on. I'm sorry, I digress. It's not funny what is currently going on. But you should expect to see certain operations that involve the arming of the general population in Iran rather soon. And that's not going to create as much a vacuum as it's likely to create a balkanization because the populations of Iran and for example, Afghanistan are two very different and distinct things. But we'll, we'll have to get to some of that here in just a bit because we got to get to Joe Kent. Joe Kent was a national counter terrorism official, formerly the director of the National Counterterrorism center, who released a very big letter, very big announcement and resignation, saying that after a lot of reflection, he's decided to resign from his position. And that in resigning from this position he says, I can't in good conscience support the going on war with Iran because Iran posed no imminent threat. And then also it's clear that we started the war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. So he just comes right out and says it. Now we're going to have to cut away to bring the radio crew back from commercial here in a couple of seconds. But I do want to point out before we get there, this is a complete 180 on stuff he said when he ran not only for Congress a couple of times and lost every single time, but also the facts on the ground, as much as a lot of people might like to claim otherwise. So we're going to get into that here in a couple of seconds. Don't go anywhere. It's the Tony Kennett cast. We got to bring that radio crew back from the commercial break. Don't go anywhere. It's the Tony Kennett cast on 93 WYPC. Welcome back to the Tony Kennett Castle here on the Daily Signal. Just to give you a couple of quick updates here on the home front. This, this individual, this Joe Kent, who is a, a, a combat veteran and also a, a, a gold star widower and, and, and by all means very thankful for his military service, thankful for the work that he did. He has now completely flipped, however, on a lot of the things that he originally had claimed and is now essentially trying to go on what is essentially a podcasting tour. So immediately after he released this, this letter, it was announced, oh, he has a big, huge interview coming up with Tucker Carlson and he's speaking at this kind of pseudo Catholic rally in Washington, D.C. that again, a lot of Catholics have disavowed as essentially being a very cheap way to twist around some elements in order to essentially just complain about Israel all day. And the worst part about this particular letter of this one particular instance is that he just openly lies about all different kinds of things that are very easily proven wrong. He goes down conspiracy valley not to actually uncover anything particular again. Already Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has come out and disavowed this. The President of the United States, speaker of the House Mike Johnson, many of his former colleagues have pointed out that he's got a lot of things that are, that are rather issue is here when he was running for Congress and losing every single time, losing what have been called by Washington state Republicans as very winnable elections, he had no problem saying things that were objectively true. But all of a sudden he's decided to come out and say that actually this is all Netanyahu. Netanyahu has secretly convinced the president of the United States to do all of these things. There's just one slight issue with that. First of all, not only does he do this with no evidence and say, for example, that Iran poses No threat to the United States, which just again, is not true in any way, shape, or form whatsoever. But he also tries to claim that the United States was dragged into Iraq and Afghanistan by Israel, that it is Israel after 911 who did all this. You hear this quite a bit. That is A, not true, B, provably false. By the fact that, guys, this isn't something that happened in 1823. We have the exact same articles, audio recordings, videos from the Israeli parliament where they voted to lobby against the United States invading Iran after 9 11. As all of the articles make very, very clear, back in 2002, all the way up through 2007, quote, Israeli officials warned the George W. Bush administration that an invasion of Iraq would be destabilizing to the region and urged the United States instead to target Iran, not to target Iraq. So if he would have said that, hey, Israel's always wanted us to go after Iran, well, Manny maybe would have had a little bit of a point there. But instead he decides to suggest that it is Israel that somehow dragged us into Iraq and Afghanistan. And because of that, that is why his. His wife is dead. That's really, really gross. That's really, really gross. That's. You don't need to do stuff like that. You don't. You don't have to act like that. You don't have to turn into a child because you're tired of doing administration work, and instead you want to do the podcasting influencer tour. The President of the United States, when asked about this today, very clearly made the case that, look, you thought he was a nice guy or whatever, but, you know, he wants to kind of be a Looney Tune. Well, there you go. Sorry. I had the Tusi clip loaded from the Iranian footage. Speaker Mike Johnson also talked about this. Say, we'll run Speaker Johnson's footage first before we get to the President. I'm on the Gang of Eight. I got all the briefings. We all understood there was clearly an imminent threat, that Iran was very close to the enrichment of nuclear capability, and they were building missiles at a pace that no one in the region could keep up with. They were far outpacing our allies and friends and us in our defense capability because we had personnel, installations, members of the armed services and civilians in the region. Iran was building up ballistic missiles at such a rapid pace, and we knew that their plan was to fire them upon Americans. The commander in chief and his administration had a very difficult decision to make. I don't know where Joe Kent is getting his information, but he wasn't in those briefings, clearly, because the Secretary of State, the Secretary of War and everyone, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Kaine, they had exquisite intelligence and we understood that this was a serious moment for us, had the guys. This is really the key. This is the key when Vance and a lot of Vance's office, who is very, very hesitant on a lot of intervention in the Middle east, confirms and agrees, makes it very clear. Yes, the evidence is there. This is the threat that Iran posed. These are all of the briefings that came down to the big eight to everyone else. Clearly, specifically, here are the details. And then you turn around and just kind of start screaming your head off over things that are shadows and shapes on the wall. Yeah, that's not really going to fly. Here's the President of the United States, though, addressing this today.

Well, I read his statement. I always thought he was a nice guy, but I always thought he was weak on security, very weak on security. I didn't know him well, but I thought he seemed like a pretty nice guy. But when I read a statement, I realized that it's a good thing that he's out because he said that Iran was not a threat. Iran was a threat. Every country realized what a threat Iran was. The question is whether or not they wanted to do something about it. And many people, many of the greatest military scholars are saying for years that president should have taken out Iran because they wanted a nuclear weapon.
A
Again, there was no. It's not as though we didn't all see this coming from three and a half blocks away and moving steadily closer. So interesting stuff. I guess we'll, we'll see how this is, is going right now. Again, what I'm seeing is, is just another attempt. Kind of like the Carrie Jean Butler being removed from the religious commission because she got in there and started screaming a bunch of nonsense. A lot of people who just want attention, unfortunately for them, the age of the influencer is really starting to wear thin on Americans. Going out talking about yourself endlessly ad nauseam about how brave and wonderful and super duper and moral and virtuous you are, that doesn't, that's not really paying the bills. It's not really doing anything useful or effective. So on the flip side of the aisle, because a lot of the moderate Democrats no longer exist, the left is instead trying as hard as they can to push one thing and one thing only, that you shouldn't build houses because housing is really expensive. And if you build more houses, that won't fix anything. Now you may say Tony, that sounds absolutely ridiculous. I'm truly not joking with you. One of the biggest left wing moves right now, again, a lot of people said, what's going on here at home? What's going on here in the United States? Housing affordability is a pretty big issue. Energy affordability, it's a pretty big issue. So Secretary of Energy Chris Wright says, all right, we're going to expand energy production and we're going to, through for example, guys like Lee Zeldin at the epa, we're going to deregulate. And then also in the housing situation, the Secretary of the Interior, Home and Urban Development also making it very clear that expanding housing construction, expanding, or I should say expanding the deregulation that allows multiple regions of the country to easily or more easily, excuse me, easier procure resources as well as not overtaxing the labor into building those particular homes. On the left side of the aisle, the hyper progressive youth who are in the middle of stabbing all of the old corporate Democrats in the back. Monkey see monkey, do you have this new influence campaign? So Katie Kate Willett, who is supposed to be a comedian, I've never heard her say anything particular funny, but you know, I'm sure if you're a comedian relying on pre taped laugh tracks, then you know, things probably aren't going too well anyway. But she's come out said a major new study has confirmed what many of us know from reading all previous research. Socialists in New York City should care about this because Mayor Mamdani has fulfilled his administration with developer hawks in hopes of delivering the affordability agenda. It won't. So now even Mamdani is not progressive enough for them. So here's the study breaking new major housing study. Quote, no amount of housing we build is going to make prices drop. End quote. I'm not joking. I want to make this clear. In this study, which is not peer reviewed, in the abstract of the study, the authors make it clear that they had to purposefully ignore and remove huge chunks of data on housing, on material pricing, on migration trends, on economic development, on taxation, on scale to age, like when individuals start buying their house and basic supply and demand economics in order to write this study. So they wrote a study on housing and then they took all of the stuff that you would need to study for a housing study and threw it out of the study and said if you build more houses, that's not gonna make anything less expensive. Now that's some advanced stupid right there. I'm just, just gonna level with you here. Now, on the flip side, the Trump administration is signing a series of executive orders to accomplish what I was just talking about. Radio crew, we're gonna send you guys over to commercial. Don't write any stupid, fake, goofy studies while I'm gone. It's the Tony Knitcast here on the Daily Signal. All right. The President of the United States today on some executive orders regarding housing in the United States and development, kind of lowering those costs.
C
Today I'm signing two historic executive orders continuing my administration's efforts to help more of our citizens achieve the dream of home ownership. It's called the American Dream. Thanks to our purchase of $200 billion in mortgage bonds, mortgage rates recently reached the lowest level in five years. This dramatically reduces monthly payments for new home buyers. The annual cost of the typical new mortgage is down almost $5,000 since I took office. I'm very proud of that. I also signed an executive order to stop Wall street and large institutional investment firms from buying up all the single family homes in the scheme to turn them into rentals and make lots of money in doing it. We want America to be a nation of owners, not renters. Today I'm taking action to help reduce rates even more and make it much easier to build new homes in America. The first executive order is about bringing more community banks back into the mortgage business. Two decades ago, over 5,000 community banks were offering mortgages. Today, that number has been slashed by more than 50%, largely because of burdensome, unnecessary regulations that radical liberals impose on community lenders for the benefit of their donors on Wall street, and frankly, for the benefit of themselves. The result was less competition and higher mortgage rates for hardworking Americans like you.
A
So the President of the United States is essentially, essentially trying to put in executive order two particular policies. One which acts as more of a deregulator that allows individuals to build more housing. But one is to try to stem a lot of the corporate involvement in the eternal rent housing, what many would call kind of the eternal rent housing epidemic. So we'll have to see how that impacts the economy into Q2. That's the real question. This isn't going to be something that you see an immediate impact on. Now again, that you know that that doesn't necessarily mean right here and now that there aren't any plans, you know, afoot for reducing certain prices or moving the economy in certain directions. It does mean things do in fact kind of take a couple of minutes to kick in. A lot of people have pointed out that as as Brent crude closed at, I believe 103 today, or at least ended the day last time I checked at about 4103 that this means that everything is all over. Guys. It's, it's been just a couple of weeks here. And, and regardless of a lot of those Democrats in Congress suggesting that this is now like the eternal economic collapse in crisis again, the, the influencer age and the instant gratification age, they can only wear on for so long before people just don't take it into account anymore. Now this brings us back to two particular things. Number one, Congress taking to task the judicial system of the country, of course, a couple of local officials and crime. And then my personal favorite here, the conversation around USAID and federal funding. Now, to make this entirely clear, we're going to cut away to Rob Bluey here in a couple of seconds and dive into the rest of the Save America act stuff. Some new information there. And after this, it's, it's going to be something else. Don't go anywhere. It's the Tony Kennett cast here on the Daily Signal. This is the Tony Kennett cast on 93 Wibcadabra. All right, welcome back to the Tony Kennett cast. Before we cut over to Rob Bluey with some Save America act stuff, we're going to talk a little bit about the rest of the domestic issues currently going on in the country because the Senate voting on the Save America act is what is currently holding up all of the rest of the stuff. So what are the Democrats? First of all, let's just go ahead and hit the left side before we get into what the right side wants to focus on. The left is still fuming over USAID at the State Department because USAID was the president's personal piggy bank through the State Department. Democrats are still furious that Republicans cut funding to usaid. Now, one of these things that, you know, one of the reasons that USAID was shelved and Marco Rubio said, no, no, thank you, was the United States spending a heap of money not allocated directly and specifically by the power of the purse in the article one authority of Congress to strange projects like spreading atheism in Nepal, developing a Sesame street for Iraq or sending transgender comic books or funding transgender comic book projects in South America. However, the Democrats are now out here to make their 2026 pitch. The only, again, the only things that we have seen so far as things that they want to do what they want to do. There are no bills that I'm seeing in the House with Democrats right now that are, here's what we want to create what we want. What we want to bring forward. Representative Madeline Dean, however, says, we got to bring US aid funding back. Why? Because I don't understand the whole trans comics thing. How about $32,000 for a transgender comic book in Peru? We've heard that one from the president from this majority party. Wrong. USAID did not fund this, and it was not specifically transgender. Instead, the great. Okay, so then I'm expecting it's something else, right? So, no, it was actually the Department of Agriculture and they were funding a sale of hot dogs at Wrigley. When someone says that's not what it was, you expect something totally different. So she says, it's not USAID and it wasn't transgender comic books. Here you go. State department grant provided $32,000 under the guise of public diplomacy to Peru's Education Department to cover expenses to produce a tailor made comic book featuring an LGBTQ hero. Oh, so instead it was a grant from the State Department to Columbia to produce an LGBTQ plus comic book. So, first of all, you absolute moron, USAID answers to the State Department. And number two, and this is just a little fun fact here, the LGBTQ comic hero that they paid Colombian education Department officials to write a comic book about is trans. So you have literally just argued that we need to refund USAID because they weren't funding trans comics in Colombia. They were actually funding trans comic books in Columbia. What? Incredible. Again, this is what they are focusing all of their attention on. I was on a debate today with an individual over on kind of the left side of the aisle, as I always do on Tuesdays. And today's conversation was about the kind of things that were going to drive people to the midterms right now. We talked about this yesterday on the show. The gen. The generic congressional ballot, the distance Democrats that had been going up several points. They have now dropped four points in just a couple of weeks and are now barely edging out Republicans in the generic congressional ballot for a midterm at this point, this time of year. That's wild. Why? Because no one's excited to come out and do anything. No one's excited to actually bring any particular policy forward. Now, Republicans at the state level and at the local level are doing a couple of different things here. And a couple of different things means something to the voters in that particular area. So we see Republicans pushing forward legislation to ban those with the inability to speak English from driving on the roads, especially with commercial driver's licenses. We've seen the Trump administration Institute rules to have 200,000 illegal or foreign commercial Drivers get their licenses revoked. We've seen a lot of Republican policies in the last couple of days that have been focused on cementing and codifying into law things regarding not allowing boys to play in girls sports, things like keeping certain tax levels low, codifying the regulatory removal so that Tony can actually purchase a Toyota Hilux. I don't have to go out and find one from my local terrorist in Chabad.
C
I don't.
A
I don't have to do anything. I don't have to, you know, go out to, you know, any of the random places all throughout the whatever. No, I don't have to do any of that nonsense. I don't. I don't. I don't. I don't have to go out there and do any of the silly, goofy nonsense. If we actually get some of the particular policies through. Democrats are providing what? Well, Mamdani did get in front of the people today and for St. Patrick's Day, pandered to Irish people and went off on a tirade about genocide or something. I say this as over the past few years, as we've witnessed a genocide unfold before our eyes, there has been deafening silence from so many for those who have long cared about universal human rights and the extension of them to Palestinians. Silence, however, is nothing new. This man is not about to take St Patrick's Day, a day just for the Irish, and go, yeah, I know it's St. Patrick's Day, but actually, have you stopped to consider Palestine? Ah, yes. Mm. Yeah, that's. That's it. That's what voters are looking for. For Palestinians are so often left to weep alone. Yet former President Robinson has never been silent. Not when she was president, not when she was High Commissioner for Human Rights, and not in the decades since. As she once said, commemoration is a moral act. Her solidarity is many things. Unwavering, sincere, and chief among them, Irish. Irish solidarity is no coincidence. Who can better understand those who weep than those who have been made to weep for so long? Oh, piss off. The story of the Irish, both in Ireland and in New York City, is at one time a story of oppression, of subjugation, and of discrimination as we know it was on. I will remind you that this is the guy who said that wider neighborhoods needed to pay more money in taxes. Now, the last time that I looked at Ireland, I wasn't exactly looking across the seas of those who would be considered rather pigment heavy. So the pandering is excellent stuff. Now, this is at the same time that Mamdani yesterday, when asked a question about Irish Self determination, had no idea what he was talking about. Said, I don't know anything about the Irish or Ireland or anything. Again, today he gave a big speech about, oh, I know the Irish. And what the Irish care about more than anything is Gaza and Palestine and hating Israel. Oh, okay, here he was yesterday the exact opposite. Because the man actually knows nothing at all about the cultures he's pandering to. Haitians are on Ireland. You've talked about the importance of self determination in international law. Do you support a united Ireland? I gotta be honest, I haven't thought enough on that question. I have to say though, that I am incredibly appreciative of the privilege to lead a city. Oh, it's Kamala Harris. The significance of leading a city in time. Great. Congratulations to New York and to the Democrats pushing this stuff forward. James Talarico is doing a lot of the same nonsense again as clips continue to surface of again, this, this man just being one of the dumbest individuals of all time, being extremely progressive. It's, it's not looking good. Even the centrist, the few centrist Democrats there are anymore, are no longer trying to suggest that James Talarico is a centrist guy. Radio crew will catch you guys later. We're going to continue on YouTube.com DailySignal it's the Tony Knittcast. Sorry, end of the broadcast hour. I kind of have to let them sail into the. To the sunset. As I was saying, James Talarico, who is supposed to be Texas next, Beto o' Rourke supreme. He has also had a couple of clips that have resurfaced. Again, not just saying that, you know, Jesus is an illegal immigrant who everyone wanted to tran. Just this stupid nonsense. Not only has he said those stupid things, he has also argued that we need to be vegetarians because climate change. We have, I think, heard more and more issues of animal welfare. I think not just because you said animal welfare, not anal welfare. I just, I just want to make that clear. It's kind of hard to keep that distinction, you know, with the mask on and you know, the party he's in.
B
It's the right thing to do and
A
the moral thing to do, but also it's as all of you know, necessary to fight climate change. It is now existential that we try to reduce our meat consumption and that we try to respect animals in all aspects of society. And so I, I am proud to say that our campaign has officially become a non meat campaign. So we have, we are. Ah yes, that'll win Texas. This is from 2022 in his state rep campaign. Ah, yes. If there's one thing that Texas despises, it's meat. Okay, best of luck to you. He's very upset about this, by the way. He's really, really grumpy that people are now bringing out these particular clips. It really frustrates him. There's a, a, a, an argument that he made today that people are going around and finding my old social media clips. Yeah, because like Abigail Spanberger in Virginia, you're running around with a skin mask on pretending to be some moderate, good old young Christian bull who just happens to be on the left. No, you're not good at hiding it. The cool thing about the one cool thing about the influencer era is that it did bring a lot of politicians out to expose the kind of crap they are willing to do to simp to suck up for various votes. And you know, now that stuff is coming home to roost. Now regarding people like Talarico or J.B. pritzker or Gavin Newsom or Zoran Mamdani, they all have one thing in common and this is using the judicial system and using their fellow Democrat supported district attorneys and prosecutors and again, as we just said, those in the judge and magistrate positions to release as many violent criminals as they possibly can from prison. New York City, replete with cases of individuals who have been released from prison that are committing additional crimes, additional stabbings, additional assaults on individuals we see in Illinois, we see in California. However, again, this is the part that actually does give people just a little bit of hope. Now whereas in Las Vegas, a judge had ordered, and this would be earlier today, a judge had ordered that a 35 time arrested repeat offender must be released from jail. The Las Vegas Sheriff has now said, no, I'm not going to do that at all. So according to the Daily Mail, a fierce legal clash has erupted in Las Vegas after the county sheriff refused to obey a judge's order to release a Repeat offender with 35 arrests over public safety fears. Las Vegas Metro Sheriff Kevin McMahill has defied instructions from Las Vegas Justice Court Judge Eric Goodman to return Joshua Sanchez Lopez, age 36, to the street. Now Judge Goodman had ordered Sanchez Lopez released from jail into police department's electronic monitoring program. Essentially give him an ankle bracelet. I'm sure he won't stab or kill or hurt or abuse or do any of that illegal stuff. Now he's wearing a bracelet. And the Las Vegas Sheriff has said, how about no? How about no? Now this confrontation is heading for the Nevada Supreme Court because this Republican sheriff has refused to budge. Many of you have asked me in the comments over the last couple of weeks, hey, Tony, how is the judicial action and behavior? How is this going to end? It will end like this. This is how it's going to end. You are, I should say, really how it's going to begin because you're going to start out with these judges who order some of these criminals release. You're going to see local sheriffs just say no. And then you might see the state supreme court jump in and say, you need to obey that judge and the sheriff should just say no. You come release him. Then you think the state police are going to come in and do it. I think this is really where you're going to see a lot of the judicial system in this country fall apart. Now, that's not necessarily a wholly good thing because it as soon as an institution loses credibility, it starts to crumble from the bottom, not from the top. Meaning you don't see federal judges get the middle finger first. What you will see are these local county judges. Things will get a lot more wild in the next couple of weeks. Now, on that particular note, an Obama judge ruled that Muslims in Texas cannot be expected to follow the same rules and deadlines that non Muslims are required to follow. Judge Alfred Bennett in Texas has now just decided that Islamic individuals get an additional two weeks to apply for, for example, school choice vouchers. So you and I, we have a certain deadline, what things we have to reach. But if a judge just rules, nope. These different groups can ignore certain guidelines and statutes to do whatever they want. Pretty soon you will see these particular things getting ignored by state, local and then soon federal officials. That's where these things are going. And I'm going to level with you. The public sentiment is not going to be in favor of the Las Vegas county judge. Americans are not going to be in favor with the judge that says let the criminal go because feelings not going to be a thing. Not going to be a thing that occurs. We're going to swing over to Rob Bluey. We're going to talk a little bit more about some new information regarding the Save America act and what no one is really talking about what actually comes next. I'm not joking. Few have actually talked about what we might see if Republicans succeed or fail. Where are they going to pivot to? Don't go anywhere more. Up next, it's the Tony Kennedcast here on the Daily Signal.
C
Bingo.
A
It's the Tony Kinnit cast with special guest Rob Bluey. You heard the music. And either you're having a horrible sensation that your children are about to watch Bluey for the 54th time, or, you know, it's time instead for Rob Bluey, president of the Daily signal in Washington, D.C. so that I don't have to be to give us a couple of updates from Capitol Hill, where it's no recess until Brooklyn or Save America act gets passed. Rob, tell us what's up.
B
Yeah, Tony, that's right. Well, after weeks of pressure from conservative grassroots and the fact that you have a situation in which President Trump has thrown all of his weight, it seems, behind the Save America act, he said literally that he will not sign any other legislation until this gets to his desk. The, the, the GOP establishment, which tends not to necessarily respond favorably to the grassroots, has decided now that they are going to bring up the Save America act and have a debate on it. The big question for viewers to be paying attention to is just how serious they are about this and if they will actually allow this talking filibuster and force Democrats to get on the floor and, and state their opposition to a measure that has the support of over 70% of Americans for things like voter ID and proof of citizenship to register.
A
Let me ask you something that's kind of on the backside of this. Maybe we can get to it first so they, they bring it up, the Save America act, and it fails because we have the people that we do in, in the Senate that we do. Where do you go from there? Because at that point, you've had all of these promises that nothing is gonna move until we get this through. And if the votes aren't there, do you think Thune is maybe gonna be bullied into the walking, talking filibuster, or are we going to see some kind of a pivot? And if so, what's kind of on the back, you know, maybe on deck here for Republicans to bring up to say, well, maybe we couldn't get the Save America act done. But, oh, hey, look at this other consolation prize.
B
Yeah, I think that there could be a scenario like the one you just outlined. But here's a, here's some things to remember. Number one, Republicans always campaign on the fact that they say Democrats, if they get control of the Senate, will change the rules almost instantly because they will want to do things like pack the Supreme Court with more justices. They'll want to give a statehood to the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico and all of these other litany of things that you hear about from, from the most radical elements of the Democrat Party. And so Republicans, and particularly those who are in the establishment and I put John Thune into that, that camp sure have always pushed back on the notion that you want, you would don't want to go down that path. So I really think, and I just want to be level set with, with your audience here. I don't think that you're going to find a situation where those Republicans, there's an appetite for changing the rules. There probably could be an appetite, as you saw in the case of John Cornyn, for facing the political pressure. And obviously he's facing a life or death election in Texas that brought him along to, to more closely align with President Trump's position now as, as there as it stands when it comes to maybe a backup plan. Speaker Mike Johnson just had the House Republicans in Florida Talking about reconciliation 2.0. Is there another opportunity to put forward a reconciliation bill? Now, there are some questions though, and we've talked about this on your show. It's, there's no guarantee the parliamentarian allows the Save America act to be part of the reconciliation.
A
One of these days you or I is going to have to interview the Senate parliamentarian. This, how many times they're being, their, their name is being dropped into these conversations is just getting ridiculous.
B
Yeah, no, that's true. And so I don't know ultimately if the president, I don't think it's particularly helpful to Speaker Johnson, for instance, who's saying he wants to use the time in the US House to pass a reconciliation bill, which in the Senate doesn't need the 60 votes, it just needs a simple majority for the president to come out and say I'm not going to do anything until Save America gets to my desk. Because that really puts the lawmakers in a box. And ultimately I do think that they probably get Save America done, whether it's not the exact piece of legislation that you see before the Senate today. I think that if you pressure Democrats on this repeatedly, there will be enough who potentially cave. I mean, you saw this with Alyssa Slotkin last week, right? There was a terror attack in her state. And all of a sudden she started to change her tune about Department of Homeland Security funding. And so I think if you, if Republicans go on offense here, they stand a better shot of getting it done.
A
Well, you have read my mind talking about the Cornyn flip. And this is really where I want to pivot my attention to President Trump has said no endorsements, no endorsements for senators who don't vote for the Save America Act. So do we see a couple of senators maybe a little bit more nervous in the upcoming election? How much of a punch does that, or. Yeah, how much of a punch does that particular threat pack in this case?
B
Yeah, well, if you look at some of the senators, like, for instance, Thom Tillis comes to mind. I mean, he's retiring. So essentially Thom Tillis probably figures he has very little to lose and therefore would not necessarily come along to President Trump's point of view. In the case of John Cornyn, not only does he want President Trump's endorsement for this runoff election in Texas against Ken Paxton, but he also recognizes, I think, that he ultimately needs to shore up that support among the conservative base. That is who Ken Paxton is generally more popular with. Now, the problem that John Corden faces is that he, he doesn't necessarily have the enthusiasm. And so there are parts of the MAGA base that have now come out strongly encouraging President Trump to, to, to walk back that promise that he would make an endorsement. And so, yes, I think politics can come into play here a little bit. But then you have other factors. What does Susan Collins do in Maine? She's right now letting two Democrats duke it out in that state in their primary. Well, she's hoping to maybe shore up some support with independence. Does she feel that maybe a vote for the Save America act could jeopardize that? I don't ultimately think so, because poll after poll, and you can go down the list. You were talking on, on last night's show about Scott Rasmussen's polling.
A
Right.
B
You know, this is a good example of, of how popular it is in his polls, all the way down to the Harvard Harris poll, which is hardly, can hardly be described as notable.
A
Republican poll. The Harvard Harris Poll, yes, right, absolutely.
B
Democrats are a majority of Democrats support the provisions.
A
So you've got Shelley Moore, capito, in West Virginia. She's Republican up for election this year. You got Bill Cassidy. You've got those two individuals who, at least off the top of my head, at least, are not necessarily squish when it comes to the Save America act, but they are squished when it comes to changing the rules, when it comes to messing around with the, the filibuster here. Do you think that, you know, Capitol and Cassidy get a little nervous around the president? Do we have anyone in those primaries? Is there anything to, you know, a Louisiana or West Virginia primary with Republicans here?
B
I think potentially, I mean, it could, it could be one of those issues. I think that the challenge, you know, bring up Scott Rasmussen again Because he's done polling on this.
A
Right.
B
Even, even those people who are politically obsessed news consumers don't necessarily understand cloture and filibuster and all of the arcane rules of the Senate. I don't understand it. I spent half of my Life in Washington, D.C. and so the problem, it comes down to the fact that they're arguing on minutiae. And really what the American people want is they look at things like voter ID for federal elections. Right. Prohibiting illegal aliens from voting and really compromising the election integrity. They look at things like what Senator Eric Schmidt is going to be offering when it comes to protecting women's girl sports and making sure that young people don't have transgender surgeries. Those, those are all issues that I think Donald Trump looks at and the American people broadly look at as popular initiatives. And they wonder why Congress has not done anything about this. I mean, what is going on? You've had, you had Republicans in control now for going on 18 months, and they haven't acted on, on these issues. And they're saying, what is wrong with these representatives? And yes, it could be an election issue. Let's face it, the clock is ticking toward the midterms.
A
You can only bring people out to the polls for excuses so many times before they start demanding results. You see this with Democrats as well, with Hakeem Jeffries not wanting to put him as their leader of the House because the man continues to haltingly, stutteringly repeat some results. Sorry, I can't do his, his voice. I can't even do the cadence. But he's not delivering anything for their party. They think that he's not being hard or progressive enough.
B
That's right. I think that after Nancy Pelosi stepped down, they were willing to give him a shot. And he's largely failed and disappointed. He may have a pocket of support with those who are close in his inner circle or. But where the enthusiasm seems to be on. The Democrat Party is among those progressive elements, those Zora Mandani like individuals who don't necessarily want to go the route of Hakeem Jeffries. And so it's going to be quite interesting to see if they ultimately decide that he is the best person to lead the Democrats in the House or if they would want to maybe pivot and go in a different direction.
A
It's about to be the most unenthusiastic midterm election in American history. Rob Bouilley, president of the Daily Signal, thanks for, for giving us a couple minutes.
B
Thanks, Tony.
A
All right, very quickly, Here, before we are to the end of our particular broadcast time, I think that it's probably appropriate for just a little bit of mail time. Mail time. Tony Kenned cast. Yeah, a little mail time. All right, now again, nothing super duper special. You have a question you want to throw at us here in the bonus Tonus section of the show. You can do that a couple of ways. You can throw it in the live stream chat, that's perfectly fine. You can of course send us something in the Discord. There's a link to that in the description. But before we get to the mail time, I'm going to ask a favor. I don't normally do this with you guys, but hey, today I figured it's worth it in the top of the description on the YouTube show. And if it's not there, you can refresh it. It'll be there. There is a link to the Apple podcast thing for the show. If you like the show, if you like it, consider leaving a five star review. That really, really, really helps us out in the podcast rankings and whatnot. If you don't like it, don't leave a review. In fact, if you really don't like the show, go write an angry Facebook post and then I'll search it later and, you know, I don't know, I'll share it. The funniest angry Facebook post about me will win one free trip to the wood chipper. So that said, questions to the Discord, again, link to that's also in the description. That is going to be first. And then after that I got a couple of questions from some of the comments that hopefully you'll enjoy. And if not, well, what are you going to do? So from Brother Beat, he said, I joined just to ask a question. Welcome. Why is Senate Majority Leader Thune, who you'll notice I didn't play any clips of today, unwilling to allow recess appointments. And why has there been so little pressure on him or even condemnation? So actually this is something that Bradley Devlin, he's the political editor for the Daily Signal. Bradley, he and I are on different ends of the Republican Party quite often, especially when it comes to foreign policy stuff. And that's not, you know, a bad thing. He's got a different perspective on things than I do. And this is something, however, that he and I completely, 100%, absolutely unified, agreed on, and we have covered quite a bit that Senate Majority Leader John Thune should have, at prior recess points, allowed the President of the United States to make a bunch of recess appointments instead of holding up the Senate on a bunch of things. There are some condemnations that do in fact go on. But also at the same time, there are some bills that do need to be passed and, and simply just kind of threatening pressure endlessly ad nauseam isn't something that always works. So there, there was, there was a comment that was left not too long ago here on, on the show that about every couple of shows would repost the same message, hey, why don't we get a trucker convoy and go to Washington and, and, and say this, that or the other about this and force them to know that we care. The short answer is that doesn't really effectively move. Politicians calling their office does in fact often move. Politicians showing up on a bunch of semi trucks, while a cool thing, I enjoy it, you know, showing up in like a big, huge motorcycle rally, huge motorcycle marathon, you know, cross country kind of thing. I think it's awesome. Don't think it's going to make the key difference, though. So the type of pressure campaign matters here. And I think the President of the United States is more concerned about the Save America act, as you heard in our conversation with Rob, for instance, rather than focusing intently on trying just to get recess appointments throughout the. And that actually goes into the next question here. This is from Kelly kg, and she says, what is it actually going to take to get Democrats to open the Department of Homeland Security? The answer to that particular question all comes down to Senator Mark Wayne Mullen of Oklahoma. If he gets into the Senate, because he's coming up, they're getting ready to have his, his big, huge nomination committee. And if he gets in front of the Senate, in front of a lot of his colleagues, and they start acting, well, you know, the way that Maisie Hirona was going to act because she's a child. And they start doing a lot of the dancing and the screaming and the screeching. If Mark Wayne Mullen takes off the this is what I use for every big, dramatic C SPAN committee hearing. If he takes off the earrings and engages in a fight and tries to make it into a big WWE, you know, SmackDown Superstar, whatever, then then probably not going to end the DHS shutdown anytime soon. However, if he gets in there and does what I like to call the disappointed parent routine, which is when you allow the idiot to act like an idiot in front of you and you look really disinterested and annoyed and tired and your wit and your humor is dry and you essentially do the Tom Holman point, which is, here's what I'm going to do. Here's the plan. Here's what I'm not going to do. I'm not participating in that nonsense. You do that to the American people, that will start creating a lot of back pressure on everybody from for example, Cortez Masto of Nevada all the way up to, of course we already know that Elisa Slotkin has already flaked alongside John Fetterman, who never wanted to shut down the government over this or the Department of Homeland Security in this in the first place. You're going to see some transportation centric hubs also probably start to flake on this a little bit. Wouldn't be surprised if you maybe saw Cory Booker start to shift on this just a little bit. He has probably too many presidential aspirations to do so outright though. So that set an aside. Next question. There was one question on Taiwan I wanted to answer. Oh, from Wendy A. Tai. Any word on what China is doing since they surrounded Taiwan? Okay, China has not surrounded Taiwan. They have not. There were 26 Chinese fighters that breached Taiwanese airspace, I believe yesterday evening into this morning. And that is what we like to call a day ending in Y. Now normally there are like five to 10 Chinese aircraft that breach the Taiwanese airspace. Now China is essentially trying right now to tempt the United States into thinking they're going to go ahead and rush Taiwan right now. No, they're not. No, they're not. And the reason that they're not, although things are absolutely catastrophic internally in China for Zoom, he has er Xi. He has very little public support inside of China right now. The only communist country whose leader is doing really well right now is Kim Jong Un who won the parliamentary election 99%. Yeah.
B
Way to go.
A
It's exciting. So anyway, Asian JB Pritzker, he's doing well over in North Korea, but as far as Xi is concerned, he has a couple of unresponsive, best, let's say sore spots in a few different places in China. And he doesn't really have the support of the military or of the people of China to engage in a major action right now when again the country doesn't have tons of oil to spare. I, I, I really doubt he's gonna roll through with it. Now there are a couple of Chinese warships that's a little overstated that are that are currently in the region. But they just finished a military exercise that they do one of about every three weeks. Weeks. So no, they're not completely super duper ultra surrounded. Be very, very careful right now about a lot of individuals out there who choose to do the most flamboyantly boisterous social media posts to get your attention. AI is becoming a lot easier to mass produce really quickly and you can just say things. And if you just ask Grok or OpenAI or Copilot or Claude or Gemini or whoever isn't giving me money for an AI sponsorship, you ask them that, they may not tell you the right thing. They may just say, oh, sure, that happened. I saw it on A post from Greg 478-1148115 yeah, he joined the social media platform two weeks ago in his accounts from India or Pakistan or China. But I mean, sure, he's probably trustworthy. Yeah, yeah, don't, don't, don't fall for that little bit of patience. A little bit of patience goes a very, very long way. We've had a couple of people join the YouTube or, excuse me, the YouTube channel membership, which is very, very kind. You guys don't have to do that. That gives you like access to some emojis and things, but you don't have to do any of that. A couple of super chats that also recently were sent. Darth Bobcat's in a $2 super chat, he said between Iraq and a hard place as Iran always is. Very much appreciate that. Last question here from Kitty over on the Discord. I believe if the Save America act passes and a person uses the passport option, do you need the book or is a passport card acceptable? Not only is this a really good question, it's a question that I have directly asked those in the State Department because the State Department handles a lot of the passport. Goodness. And the answer to your question is the passport card just as good as the passport in this situation? The passport card is just as good as the passport in this situation. So if the Save America act passes, you know, a ray from heaven shines down and smites the Senate and all of a sudden they vote for the Save America act and it passes, then yeah, the passport card will be fine. That's pretty much it. The biggest thing to come out of the Save America act, believe it or not, is not the idea. It's purging the voter roll, purging the voter rolls of the, the old decrepit and not even there anymore people. And for example, and by the way, if it passes, what's the actual next thing that's going to happen? About 47 and a half lawsuits in 3 seconds gonna have James Boasberg and have Paula Zinnis. You're going to have every Bill Clinton and Barack Obama and Joe Biden judge about half the George Bush's judges that are going to go actually and it's going to end up taking a couple of months to, to go to the Supreme Court. Because you're what? Come on. You don't think there's going to be 857,000 lawsuits in total in this? Come on, come on. You know it's going to be there. That's why we talked about the lawsuit stuff, to get that on your mind. See like a, like a method to the madness. That's exciting. I love this crew. I really do. Some of your comments crack me up. Last question. I think we'll, we'll, we'll file away. When will we get MAGA judges? I think will be the last one that I, that I see here. Well, to get judges you gotta have vacancies now at the state and local level. You can elect them. A lot of judges running for office right now who aren't telling you anything about their party. Nobody's gonna care. There are judges that are running for office. Nobody's gonna ask a single question on. They're just going to skate right on through to the election. That's problem. That's problem. Your senators also should probably know or your, you know, for example, the, the senators on the judicial committee committee especially should probably know. Hey, I want you to grill judges instead of just rubber stamping them through. Kind of a useful thing there. That said, it's been a great show, been a good time, appreciate each and every one of you. We'll be back tomorrow, 7pm Eastern here on the Daily Signal. This is the Tony Kennett cast, nationally syndicated, first on 93 WIBC. Y' all take care.
