Let's have a show. You're listening to the Tony Kennett cast on 93WibcyTV here on the Daily Signal. Good evening and welcome to the Tony Kennett cast here on the Daily Signal, nationally syndicated, first on 93 WIBC. Hope you had a good weekend. That's enough. Further ado. Let's get into the news. The Strait of Hormuz is getting spicy yet again. Now, Iran on Sunday, May the third. You may recall that the IRGC had a couple of issues. First and foremost of these is that they cannot get all of their foreign ministers to say the same thing. The White House said, look, you want to get back into some talks, then you need to provide some kind of plan. Well, the Iranians originally had a 10 point plan that turned into a 14 point plan and then a 7 point plan and then everyone started pointing at each other. So there was a head of parliament statement from Golubov. Then there was some out of nowhere, completely antithetical, completely opposite antonym, the dictionary definition by the assistant head or the vice head of the Iranian parliament that said America needed to fork over a ton of cash to the Iranians, whereas Golubov had been kind of brushed off to the side by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps. They still don't quite know who's in charge of. And it's not being made any better by the different regional groups of the IRGC that are acting like ragtag boy scout troops doing whatever it is they so fancy. And this brings us to the Strait of Hormuz because while the United States naval blockade is in place, the secondary line keeping all Chinese and Russian and whatever boats the Chinese and the Russians are painting flags over to sail through there and provide resources to the Iranian regime, while at the same time helping the Iranian regime export oil out. There's a couple of things going on first really wild scenes over the weekend. Essentially everyone in their beat up, really crappy 1997 blue Ford Ranger was trying to make it from Iran to the border with Pakistan and truck out oil by the bed of their rusty old pickups. Now, look, as a, as a fine fan of logistics myself, you don't have to be a guy with 300 hours in the game factorio to understand that trucking oil out by the bed of your pickup truck is not going to be a high amount of throughput. Essentially this is the idea of passing a bucket of water from person to person, like an old timey cartoon where Mickey, Donald and Goofy are trying to put out the fire in the building. All right, not really going to do a whole lot there. So moving on, that brings us to Iran striking the United Arab Emirates. So on the evening of Sunday, May 3rd, that being yesterday, the first reported attack, a series of Iranian drones were seen failing in takeoff off of the Iranian coast. There were a couple of flickers and some kind of grinding motor noises. This is in fact what happens when your drone fleet has some, some parts from Temu. About 25 minutes later, an unidentified bulk carrier and cargo ship was assaulted by multiple small craft. Essentially the Iranian version of rednecks on pontoons. Only American pontoons often run better. A couple of bass boats tried harassing the bulk carrier and cargo ship about 11 nautical miles west of Syria, Iran. That's on the Gulf of Oman side near the eastern approach to the strait. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations issued an alert. All of the crew were reported safe because they're small bass boats and didn't really go very well for them. So later on in the day, right before the turn into Monday, a second vessel was attacked, this time a tanker. Now, in some accounts it was an empty ad NOC linked Baraka or similar freighter, but it was struck by unknown projectiles while about 78 nautical miles north of the Fujairah facility, the oil processing facility near the United Arab Emirates. So this is where we get into the UAE stuff. The crew is safe, no immediate major injuries or claims of responsibility. There was again an alert sent out by the English mto. That brings us to early this morning, our time. So President Trump announced the launch of what's called Project Freedom, in which the United States Navy and a couple of affiliate organizations would begin guiding or escorting stranded neutral ships that have been stuck there for a month of Sundays. Safely out of the Persian Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz. The stated goal was humanitarian. You have a lot of crews who can't exactly order doordash to the area. So how did Iran respond? By hurling a couple of rockets because they say that this is a ceasefire violation. Now, as a reminder, one of the terms of the ceasefire is that Iran allow boats through the Strait of Hormuz. And then they said, no, actually, no boats are allowed. Then they said, actually, you owe us a toll that you can pay in crypto, you know, because. Okay. And then the Iranians decided they really didn't like this because what's really the clock that the United States is racing against right now is oil prices. Oil prices are high. The Iranian regime is hoping that even though their economy is dead. Dead. Thus told the Bells. As long as they kind of keep enough harassment on the Strait of War moves going long enough, maybe Congress will grab President Trump's hands and say, stop it. You got to let the Iranian regime live. And to do so, to try to really ratchet up the tension already after the United Arab Emirates, the UAE announced they were going to leave opec, the Iranians launched a series of their suicide drones and hit the VTTI oil facility in Fujairah. Now this is where things get a little more interesting because of suspected Chinese involvement along with some not local Iranian hackers. So there's really no Internet or access to a wider broadband network that's not currently under attack inside the continental landmass of Iran, as it were. So the Handala Tac team hack team, which claims to be some forward contracted group of Iran, attempted to hack the air defense systems at UAE's Fajira Report, which then set a couple of things on fire. I believe we do have a clip. It was kind of hard to isolate because there was some AI footage that's just getting more and more prevalent. But if we play it again here you can see one of the export zones there for Fujairah was seen on fire. Now the United Arab Emirates is, according to the official statements, planning some kind of counter attack against the Iranians. So right now the IRGC affiliated Tasnim news agency essentially told the UAE to mind its business and don't do nothing. And the UAE is apparently readying another flight of their Mirage jets. This would be the second strike of the UAE in this war. There has been a notice to airmen issued that's a no dam meaning it would be unwise to fly right now in the Middle East. These would be over. Most of the UAE as well as parts of Bahrain and Qatar have also issued these no damn warnings. Hey, don't fly through. Expected potential either rocket fire from Iran or from a possible counter response. We'll keep you guys up to date on that. If something there changes, that brings us to the United States side in this. So according to Nick Shifrin, he's paraphrasing some of the statements from CENTCOM Commander Admiral Bradley Cooper, Iran did attempt this afternoon to fire cruise missiles at US Navy ships and commercial ships the US Was escorting through. These also included a series of drone flights and small Iranian boats attacked commercial ships today as well. That's Admiral Cooper citing earlier news. The United States did move forward by sinking all six of the Iranian small boats and says, quote, Cooper describes that to launch operation, excuse me, Project Freedom. US Ships used our own military technology to create an effective pathway free of mines before sailing destroyers through to set an example and then create a defensive umbrella to protect ships. So I have to kind of keep an eye on what's going on. President Trump did speak to Trey Yingst over at Fox News threatening that Iran will be blown off the face of the earth if the Iranian Republic attacks the US Ships guiding vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. That brings us to the president's tweet this afternoon. You say, wow, it's really just a lot of salad so far. Not really exciting, delicious news, just a lot of kind of clerical stuff. Well, yeah, we gotta bring you all of the up to date news before you start hearing all of these AI and fear mongering accounts later this evening announced that all hell has broken through yet again. So the President of the United States posted early this afternoon Iran is taking some shots at unrelated nations with respect to ship movement, quote, Project Freedom, including a South Korean cargo ship. Perhaps it's time for South Korea to come and join the mission. We've shot down seven small boats, or as they like to call them, fast boats. It's all they have left other than the South Korean ship. There has been at this moment no damage going through the strait. He then says that tomorrow morning you'll have Secretary of War Pete Hegseth Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Kane with the news conference tomorrow morning. So again, we'll keep you up to date on some of those details. Radio crew will send you guys over to the commercial and dive into some of this news about shots near the White House this afternoon. It's the Tony Kinnit cast here on the Daily Signal. All right. What a lot of foreign news to get to. Let's get over to some breaking news on the local side or at least developing news this afternoon. There Were shots fired outside of the, I can't really say outside of the White House, but close to the White House complex. This is near the intersection of 15th street and Independence Avenue. Hudson Crozier of the Daily Caller News foundation was on site immediately. You had Secret Service, Capitol Police and the National Guard swarming in as quickly as they could. And immediately the concerns were that there had been perhaps another attempted assassination of the President of the United States. Now Hudson Crozier, right on scene, started reporting all of these different types of vehicles rolling in. There were no further shots. There was a small evacuation of some press nearby, but the situation was calmed down fairly quickly. And that brings us over to the press conference or the press briefing, I should say. Secret Service did confirm that one bystander was hit by the suspect. The there were plainclothes Secret Service officers following the suspect around before the shots rang out. Here was the Secret Service official giving his recount of the situation this afternoon. Approximately 3:30 this afternoon are plainclothes officers and agents that consistently patrol the outer perimeter of the White House complex identified a suspicious individual that appeared to have a firearm. They called in support from our marked uniformed Secret Service Police to make contact with that individual. Upon making contact, that individual fled briefly on foot, withdrew a firearm and fired in the direction of our agents and officers. They returned fire and engaged. That individual was hit. He's since been transported to the hospital. I have no comments on his condition. I can tell you that at least one, we believe only one bystander was hit by the suspect. That individual, it's a juvenile, did not sustain any life threatening injuries, but he's also receiving treatment at the hospital. So what we know so far is somebody who was, was not just carrying around a gun in Washington D.C. near the White House. But as soon as they were approached about the print of a firearm and appeared to be moving towards the perimeter of the White House complex, just headed in that direction. Then shots started going out and a bystander was hit. So never a good sign by the way, if you're concealed carrying, if, when police say hey, I mean again, concealed carrying is very limited in Washington D.C. to begin with. Uh, but it's very unlikely they went up and, and immediately, you know, said excuse me sir, can we see your license and registration? I, I mean I doubt that they just went up and just started shooting at the guy. I'm, it's just unlikely that there was any need for this dude to just start pulling out the gun and start firing. We'll have to see as some of the information becomes more readily available. Either way, this is certainly another situation regarding a live fire incident near either the President of the United States himself or where he is suspected to be. And there are two groups who are increasingly exhausting to Americans when they see this kind of news. First of all, there's a crew who thinks that everything that happens around them is just fake and none of it's real. And in that case, if you're one of those individuals, your refrigerator just told me in a dream that you need to send me $1,000 today. And if you don't, then the cloud spirits are going to get you. I don't know. Then the other group that's really exhausting the rest of the country here, this would be the individuals who say, well, this is clearly Donald Trump's fault. Anyone who tries to take a shot at the President or carries a firearm with intent to cause some amount of harm, again, he immediately started trading fire with, with officers outside of the White House complex or close to it, 15th Avenue and Independence. Yeah. Saying that that immediately makes it the President of the United States fault. What, because he said Hakeem Jeffries is a disgrace for saying the Supreme Court is corrupt and illicit and awful and evil? I don't think so. We're going to move on to some other news. We have a lot to cover tonight, including a federal judge in D.C. don't go anywhere. It's the Tony Kennett cast here on the Daily Signal. This is the Tony Kenneth cast on 93 WYBC. Welcome back to the Tony Kenneth Cast. The situation regarding Cole Thomas Allen, the attempted assassin of the President of the United States. Again, just very obviously and clearly, he appeared before federal court again, in which the judge presiding over this particular case, District Judge Farquhai. That's Zia Faruqui. I don't know if I'm pronouncing his name right. I don't care. Anyway, Judge Farquhad, the, quote, first Muslim judge to be appointed to the federal court in Washington, D.C. who has devoted much of his career to diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, end quote. Uh, he decided that the attempted assassin of the President of the United States needed to be apologized to for his treatment. Uh, the Fox News statement on this, Magistrate Judge Zia Farquay, said he was fascinated and disturbed by Allen's treatment in jail. What is this disturbing treatment that this judge over on the screen right here, this goober. If you're watching the live stream, if you're listening on podcast or radio, picture. I don't know. I guess picture. Hakeem Jeffries with a beard and glasses. You got it. This guy who made it very, very clear he needed to apologize for the oh so terrible treatment of Cole Thomas Allen, the again, latest attempted assassin of the President of the United States. Why? Because he was in a five point restraint, meaning that they tied down his leg, his other leg, his arm, his other arm and his head. Oh, that's terrible. Oh, that's so horrible. Evil, awful treatment. Why was he pointing five point restraints? Because he was placed on suicide watch when he was first imprisoned because this individual who didn't think he was going to make it out alive after shooting the President of the United States and according to his own manifesto that he shared via his own personal accounts, multiple levels of personal counts with family and friends right before he did so, said he was going to start with the President and I quote, work my way down, end quote. This guy didn't think he was going to make it out. So maybe he commits suicide and doesn't have to go through any of the. Whatever was placed on suicide watch. Which means they restrained him so that he couldn't, survey says kill himself. Yep. That would be why. Well, the judge is very mad. He said, quote, to me it's very extremely disturbing that he was put in five point restraints. A person with no criminal history, foreign. It's troubling. I've never heard of one 1-6-oddant who was put in five point restraints or in a safe cell. If the only way to keep him safe is the most punitive thing, that's a problem. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Your criminal history does not merit what kind of punishment you should receive in most instances. I hate this. It's really silly. Well, I mean, you've never really done anything wrong. You just, you know, I mean, you just attempted to assassinate the President of the United States of America. Insane, insane thing to say. Well, I mean, his restraints are so punitive. As our producer Daniel points out, based on some of his previous record, this guy is known for being extremely lenient on individuals. Before which again, this brings to my mind how there is a Republican Congress, a Republican House of Representatives who could bring a judge like this in front of them and then just impeach him. Just impeach him. He doesn't need to go through a super magical, super duper trial. Just bring him forward. Say, did you say this thing? I don't think you're an impartial judge. Impeach the man, send him over to the Senate for removal and you may be out there saying well, Mr. Kennett, you need 2/3 vote for removal in the Senate. Great. Put him in the Senate and then have every single Democrat in the Senate go on the record, choosing right here and now on this, the Lord's day, May the fourth, 2026. Get. I mean, put everyone on the record. You think Fetterman wouldn't vote to can the guy? I say put it to the record. Mitch McConnell, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Tom Tilly. Put him on the record.
B
Why?
A
Why just leave him there? So that he what? So that he can afford fancy bow ties on the taxpayer dime? How about no? At a minimum, I should be apologizing to him. We are obligated to make sure he's taken care of. Mr. Allen, I'm sorry that things have not been the way they're supposed to. That is the gayest nonsense I have ever heard. And I have been forced to sit through an episode of Queer Eye that is insanely stupid. Oh, I'm so sorry that you've been treated this way. Again, he was on suicide watch. I mean, what is this dude from Canada? I'm sorry we didn't let you hang yourself. Goodness gracious. I just the left, and they're judicial, ladies and gentlemen, and the right, who will do absolutely nothing about them. Meanwhile, another story you didn't heard. You didn't hear. Excuse me, Jonathan Render Necht, the man who ignited the Palisades fire, you know, that killed 12 people and burned down 7,000 homes in California. It turns out new evidence shows that he has a very creepy fascination with both restorative justice. In other words, the idea that after a crime like this, you should be talked to and apologized to and just like, hey there, I know you didn't mean to do what you did there. You need to just like be better maybe that kind of restorative justice crap. Turns out he's a big, huge fan of Luigi Mangione, the dude who shot United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Not because Luigi had United Healthcare coverage. He just hated that there was a CEO out there of a healthcare company went and shot him. Huge idol to again, the guy who set the Palisades fire that killed 12 and burned down 7,000 homes. So again, the left wing action network is doing exactly what they openly promised to do. And the response, I mean, again, Todd Blanche may send the duj out to get some arrests. You may actually have some individuals brought before judges. But if the judge turns around and starts apologizing to the individual who was brought before them because the. The jail prevented him from committing Suicide and put him in restraints. Oh, no, he's not able to get up. These January 6th defendants. I'm sorry. Show me where. Show me where the January 6th rioters. Again, a selection of the most gun owning people on the face of this earth, those being Republicans. Where was them shooting up dc? Where was the attempted by gun assassination of the President or the Vice president? Oh, they set up a fake guillotine, A nonfunctional one. Okay, that's gross. Yes, I agree. That's disgusting. But where was the. Where was the Rudy Tooty point and shooty stuff, huh? Remember when they burned down D.C. oh, they didn't burn down D.C. it was again, the violent left who burned down Minneapolis and Kenosha. The number of times we have to go through this and then what are the Republicans doing? Well, they are continuing on the ground level to uncover incredible amounts of fraud. And I mean just unholy amounts. So it was. It should have been enough. When we saw the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports over a decade ago about Governor Tim Walz and the massive amount of fraud he was ignoring from the Somali community in his state, as well as the Medicare, the Medicaid fraud, the Feeding our Futures fraud, the snap benefits fraud, the health care funding fraud, and so on. It should have been enough then. But then when Minnesota state legislative whistleblowers tried to report this, Tim Walls went after the legislative auditor in the Minnesota state government. And then when Nick Shirley shows up and records outside of some of these fraudulent businesses, then that should have been a bigger sign to actually get some things moving and rolling here. Then additional fraud uncovered regarding the hospice care systems in California. Now there are reports of, for example, in my home state of Indiana, hundreds of shell companies for legitimate trucking businesses inside one residential neighborhood. Well, there are a couple of organizations I'm pleased to see are continuing to expose this fraud, even if again, at the congressional level. While you were being told Elon Musk is a super big stinky bad man for wanting access to the very records that are showing really blatant fraud. And not just places like Minnesota and California, but all across these United States, there's additional information and record keeping going on about this particular epidemic in the United States. Radio Crew will catch you guys on the other side of the commercial, but we're gonna keep going. Here on the live stream side of things, it's the Tony Kinnit cast here on the Daily Signal. So the Daily Wire's Luke Rosiak, a man who never sleeps. This isn't it. By the way. There are A lot of investigative journalists out here in the broad wide world and there are a lot of people who in the investigative side are just more interested in the clicks. Luke Rosiak has done more work on the investigatory side and spending months at a time out of the public eye by digging into some really gross cases of waste, fraud and abuse than almost anybody that I've seen. The same amount of praise that I hold for that young lady from Lindell TV and her congressional on the spot interviews I hold for Luke Rosiak over at the Daily Wire. So according to this latest report, in the state of Ohio, massive shell companies allowed individuals from the second largest Somali community in the United States because you know, what a surprise quote, just before the Department of Government Efficiency closed its doors, it made a quiet move that may end up as its most lasting impact on the federal deficit. DOGE published a massive trove of data in February that for the first time lets the public see what companies are billing Medicaid for. Because that's the secret. Your doctor can bill Medicaid for whatever. You just need him to sign off on it. And so do you too want access to untold millions of dollars? Well, in the case of the Columbus Somali community says quote from Luke Rosiak, I set my sights on Ohio, which like Minnesota has been granted waivers to expand Medicaid well beyond its orig original purpose. Under the guise of health care, Ohio pays people to go to Medicaid beneficiaries homes to perform homemaking and chores like cooking and cleaning. The people performing these personal services and tasks don't even have to be healthcare workers and in many cases are relatives of the Medicaid recipient. In 2024 alone, Ohio spent a billion dollars on home health care and for only the last year the data is available. So according to Luke, here's what we believe happened. There's no way to know whether or not someone claiming they provided home health care services actually did anything. And there are all of these shell companies set up with random names in these massive windowless warehouses and office complexes that are never visited from day to day today that are supposedly just some random guy saying, oh yeah, I, I, I, I completed the healthcare, I complete healthcare. Look at me, I, I am the hospice care man now. And that's what would be going on for, I would assume, years at a time. But for right now, just because we only have the last year of data available over the last year, up to and including the entire year, it's, it's so wild. Quote, driving down Cleveland Avenue in less than 40 seconds you come across endless home health companies, Capital Home Health, Continental Home Health, Dynamic Home Health Care Ohio Senior Home Health Care. Entire buildings throughout the city are filled entirely with what appear to be identical businesses. And I will say for the record as well, there are places like this in the state of Indiana as well, except they are India based trucking companies or sorry that maybe that's uncouth to say they are trucking companies that appear to be registered to individuals who are from India. Whereas in this case in Columbus, Ohio it's individuals with, you know, all of the usual Muhammad Ahmed, Muhammad Abdullah Salamakha, all that kind of a stuff registered to individuals who came from over from, came over from Primarily Islamic countries. 94 of these different companies signed up to bill Medicaid. Each of them have a tiny office often marked with a sheet of paper proclaiming some generic company. One of these buildings alone billed taxpayers $66 million in a span of just a few years. And in, in the next couple of days. And we're going to bring on Luke Rosiak if we can just to go into some of these particular instances. He's going through these all week so I'm not going to to dive into what will bring him on to cover yet again more fraud. We got to bring the Raider crew back from commercial. Don't go anywhere. It's the Tony Kinnett cast here on the Daily Signal. It's the Tony Kenneth Castle on 93 WYBC. So there's a major, major amount of fraud over in Ohio and Columbus currently being exposed yet again. The Somali migrant community hard at work. And meanwhile the same is happening over in the state of Maine. So according to a report from the Maine Wire, this has now been updated since January 19th when this original report was released by Seamus Odhot. As you may recall, a Medicare funded home agency, excuse me, a Medicare funded home care agency based in Portland, Maine was ordered to Pay back nearly $400,000 in over billed main care payments in late 2024 after it failed to provide a variety of required documents. Despite multiple deadline extensions in the subsequent year. 5 stars Home Health care president Mostafa Al Ahmedi failed to provide documents that would substantiate hundreds of thousands of dollars in main care benefits paid for home based care. You think oh just a couple hundred thousand dollars. That's still a lot. But it's not as bad as some of these others. All told, quote, Allah maybe received more than a million dollars in taxpayer funded payments before the main department of Health and Human Services shut off the money spigot. You know the thing that the Trump administration tried to shut off the spigot for in Minnesota and then federal judges ordered. The Trump administration had to turn that funding tap back on. It truly is incredible. And by the way, if you scroll down, some of the updates show that all of the attempts to get a hold of Alex Mehdi, even calling the phone number listed on the agency state licensing page is disconnected. It's not accepting calls. And here's the worst part, although I should say this is the most obvious part. We can't find anyone who is supposedly receiving care. We can't find them. There are doctors just signing off on these just by the book, just full post it notebooks full of iou. No problem. Take it. No problem. Bill the Medicare and Medicaid federal organizations. We can't even find the individuals getting care. It is a complete and total fraud that you were told and I was told wasn't happening. In fact, all of these Democrat governors, from Gavin Newsom to Tim Walls said they're on top of it. The buck stops with them. Well, they can't even keep the fraud out of their own party. So according to a report that was forwarded out from the Detroit News that eventually was pushed out by the Michigan Republicans. The bombshell report from the Detroit News shows, quote, hundreds of ineligible voters took part in the Michigan Democrat Party's endorsement convention. Losing candidates are starting to take legal action. This would be civil legal action against the DNC claiming that the election was stolen from them after an investigation revealed hundreds of ineligible voters inside. So like inside the Democrat Party took part in this recent endorsement convention. So they had a local little party convention and worrying that they weren't going to be popular enough among their own voters in the Democrat Party in Michigan, several individuals enlisted the help of those essentially falsifying a ton of different ballots. Santana's campaign. All through this Detroit convention location data for all of these voting and devices, over 200 of these votes were just cast completely remotely. So essentially someone messaged a group to like a large group chat and said, man, we need to get through the most progressive pro Islamist candidate that we can. And then reached out to kind of a falsifying like larger group chat and then you had a bunch of people sending in votes who weren't even at the convention. Now according to a friend of mine, David Shane, kind of summarizing this, this does appear to be literally true. And though there were people improperly, you can't really say legally like improperly because it's a private convention. There may be civil damages here that can be sued for, but it's not illegal to rig your own. Like, if I was in high school and I rigged, you know, voted to be most popular and handsome, no matter how true it is, if I didn't get it and I rigged that election, then, I mean, that's not illegal. That's just a case of somebody kind of rigging their own little private nonsense. Uh, but, you know, in broader fraud, the situation regarding the Southern Poverty Law center is getting much, much, much worse. And this would be, according to Tyler o', Neill, my colleague over at the Daily Signal, is a fascinating, fascinating report on how shortly after the indictment into the Southern Poverty Law center, in which you will remember, is under a series of indictments from the Department of Justice because they used shell companies to fund paid informants of the leaders of many of the white nationalist organizations that would then go out and based on the individual paid by the splc, plan events like the Unite the Right White Supremacist rally in Charlottesville. So right now there are two major crimes that the splc, as you may remember, the Southern Poverty Law center is being hit with. Number one, is paying for a lot of these extremist organizations and things. Number two is they are lying to their donors and also lying in tax documents as well. You can't do that. I can't set up a fake company and like, like, you know, I can't just set up a random photography company and then use that fake photography company to pay for someone else to inform me. That's not allowed. And when state or federal law enforcement do this, there are heavy regulations and oversight that are supposed to go into this so that you're not paying off the mob. But in this case, this is where things get a little fun. After all of these shell companies came out, and again, a lot of people who donated to the SPLC say, wait a minute, I just funded what? Well, Representative Jamie Raskin, Democrat of Maryland, and Mary Gay Scanlon of Pennsylvania publicly cited this. This random whistleblower report. Amazing, incredible. From inside the. From. From inside the Department of Justice, who is, is claiming. And now this is just being taken as gospel because you know how this stuff works when it's a whistleblower from inside the Minnesota state government. We all pretend that it doesn't exist and that it's not real. Uh, and, you know, but when there's a random whistleblower without any name or any of the corroborating evidence inside the doj, we're all supposed to stop and. And be wildly impressed. Uh, according to this whistleblower, they claim that the Department of Justice has rushed the case despite, quote, serious concerns about its strength. Um, so, first of all, that's not why the Department of Justice prosecutes things. The Department of Justice is not just supposed to sit there and say, well, I mean, we only prosecute cases that we know with 100% super duper certainty we can nail them to the board on. No, no, no, no. So there are individuals still, still inside the Department of Justice, as my colleague would refer to them, the deep state, who have been there for years and years and years, who are trying to derail Department of Justice investigations. Why? Quote from, from Tyler's piece here specifically essentially mocking that the FBI. If, if the, if we are using this standard of evidence, then should the FBI itself be indicted as a co conspirator because the FBI used informants? No, no, no, no. Not how that works at all. So the acting US Attorney General did tell my friend at the Daily Signal, quote, as I have not yet received any letters four days after the media received it, I will simply state the evidence in the case supports every single word in the indictment, and I look forward to litigating the case in court. Meaning this. The whistleblower inside the DOJ didn't even say, hey, hey, boss. Hey, boss. I got all these, these problems with this here investigation. He didn't even do that. Some random whistleblower who wrote, you know, totally real, by the way, just said, here are all of these issues that I have. It was rushed and didn't actually send them to the individuals prosecuting the Southern Poverty Law center just forwarded them to a bunch of random news agencies. It, it, it really is wild to watch. Now the SPLC is claiming they totally handed over a lot of information from field sources to law enforcement, but this is really scanty. And it also turns out that a lot of the stuff they supposedly paid for never made it to again being in front of law enforcement. And there's never any record that we have of the Federal Bureau of Investigation or the Department of Justice overall giving the Southern Poverty Law center the clearance to lie to their donors and violate the IRS statutes for being nonprofit organizations to take donations in general. Again, the Southern Poverty Law center has an action fund as a little branch of their nonprofit that allows them to endorse candidates. So they understand the legal implications of not following nonprofit financial law. They just chose to completely ignore it in this case. And now they're saying, well, actually, there was that time in 98 that I texted this guy, I thought that was like a cop of some kind. And I don't ever know what happened to it. Great defense. Great. Best of luck to you. Best of luck to you with this one. But as I've said before, when you are going to commit certain kinds of fraud, I highly recommend not committing the crime. The kind that there are really easy paper trails to follow. And this really clearly looks like one of those, you know, don't worry. I'm sure it'll be some random federal judge to the rescue. Radio crew will send you guys over to the commercial. Try not to commit any financial fraud while we're gone. We're going to continue on the live stream. Don't go anywhere. It's the Tony Kinnit cast here on the Daily Signal. All right, let's talk about some of the other exciting local stuff. So on the, I should say local, the national news here, you would think the Democrats are using some of the Iran situation, some of the gas prices situations here so far, some of the meat prices situations to try to get a little bit of momentum with the American people. But there's a bit of a problem. Problem number one is that Americans quite clearly understand that when Democrats are in office, gas prices skyrocket because of policies they keep here at home. So they're not really succeeding there. They're also claiming that Republicans are making food prices really expensive, but they're not actually pinpointing what policies the Trump administration is bringing to the table that's effectively killing the country on food prices and policy and what they would do different. They just keep coming out and saying, oh, we're going to provide health care. Oh, we're, we're going to provide child care. Well, they're starting to miss their opportunity and they're missing their opportunity to kind of gain a little bit of momentum here for two reasons. Reason number one is that the Department of Agriculture under Brooke Rollins is doing everything that they can, at least from what I've seen so far in the federal documents, to alleviate some of the grocery store issues regarding the availability of beef, which again, cows are not born. And then next week in the packaging at the supermarket from fully grown cows, that's not a thing. Here you go.
B
And we're not here today to talk about, for example, China owning U.S. farmland. But in 1983, China owned 2,000 acres. Today, they own almost 300,000 acres. 20 years ago, there were 40 fertilizer companies providing, providing nitrogen fertilizer. Today, there are three seeds. The same. It is. It is a national security issue. And at the same time, we're losing thousands of these producers every year.
A
So two things can be true at once here. And I want to make this clear right now. The Republican Senate is really just kind of hoping that everything will end up fine while they do nothing. Now, again, Senator John Senate Majority Leader John Thune has told a ton of the caucus, hey, please don't ever talk about killing the filibuster. Please, oh, please, oh, please. And to be fair to Thune, there's no way that that Mitch McConnell, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski and Thom Tillis are going to vote in favor of canning the filibuster, which is a shame. But, gee, it sure would have been nice to talk about this kind of stuff while we were gearing up for primary season. But alas, in the meantime, what does that leave the Trump administration to do? More and more things are being declared national emergencies. So we've seen this with energy. That's already again, energy production has already been declared a national emergency. There's some conversations about labor strikes with some refineries possibly being busted by federal troops as a potential alleviation method because it's a national security concern for all. Every single US Refinery not to be online right now. We're seeing the same thing over in the agricultural side. So it's not infeasible to suggest that here. By the end of the year, you could see the United States at the federal government level telling certain seed companies, hey, you know how what you really want to do is force farmers not to save any seed and be creative in some things, we're going to overrule that. And you probably could see some deals brought forward at the end of the Iranian conflict here regarding not just the production of oil, but the production of fertilizer. We're running the radio crew back in then. We got some more news to cover on the end of this this evening. Don't go anywhere. It's the Tony Kenned cast. Foreign you're listening to the tony kennett cast on 93 wibc. Welcome back to the Tony Kenneth cast. Let's talk a little bit about some of the political momentum right now because it does matter as we get a little bit closer here to the upcoming midterm election, where the momentum sits because everything in this political game, everything is about who has the ball and who's driving down the court, who's driving up the field. That's it. It's all about momentum. And by the way, this is something that Americans understand, at least at the common flyover country level, the type that's never consulted, people always assume that the average American is dumb and doesn't pay attention. The American people absolutely understand momentum. And right now what you are seeing is Republicans who are. There's really not a whole lot of momentum there because Congress is doing a whole lot of nothing. But on the Democrat side of the aisle, you see several individuals spiking the football into the ground and just hoping that everything is going to be okay. The first of these would be the current Lieutenant governor of Minnesota, Peggy Flanagan. Yes, this is the lady who's like my Ojibwe name is talks too much because you know, hahaha, my Indian name dances with cringe. That kind of, that kind of gal. That, that would be Peggy Flanagan. Well, here she is in her latest campaign rally going after the Lake and Riley act because that's how you're going to get Americans on your side as a Democrat when you're running for the Senate, you just get out there and say, you know what? Illegal immigrants are all wonderful. They never slaughter women and children. Well, you know, when they're Ms. 13 gang members or trend members, et cetera. Here's Peggy Flanagan going for the mold. The very first vote in the second
B
Trump administration that he brought forward was
A
for the Lakin Riley Act. It was one of his biggest priorities. It stripped due process away from immigrants. It did not allowed for the indefinite
B
detention of adults and children.
A
It did not and was the green
B
light to give ICE unprecedented power to
A
totally terrorize our communities. It was not. And I want to be clear that
B
there is a straight line from the
A
Lake and Riley act vote to what we saw in the streets of our communities. Yeah, that ain't going to work. That ain't going to work. First of all, Americans don't draw lines like that as much as individuals from, you know, Hassan Piker to Tucker Carlson think that everyone draws the red line yarns with the aluminum foil hat on, totally linking and then the moon's made out of cheese. And that's why the Lincoln Riley, that kind of crap. No, that ain't that. Americans don't think like that. What Americans do notice though is if you want to rescind, you want to repeal the bill that allows illegal immigrants who have been convicted of violent crime to be turned over to the federal police because it's so shocker. And this is going to be amazing to you guys. I know, I know, I know this really hard to believe. Those who commit violent acts are far more likely to commit them a second time. I know, I know. I, I too, am amazed. It just so turns out that sometimes you have people who are garbage people and garbage people do garbage things repeatedly. I know. Amazing. So that's, that's Flanagan's line. She then doubled down after she was mocked all over the country for this because really, just bad decision here. That brings us over to the, I guess second or third place for the Democrats over on the California side for the gubernatorial. So in, in the California, in the California gubernatorial. Right now, at the head of the list is Xavier Becerra. And Becerra is an interesting dude because he just says, we're going to do every. He's like the optimism of Obama, but with the annoying garbage of Gavin Newsom. So essentially, Xavier Becerra is like Gavin Newsom. We're going to do that three times as hard. That's his strategy. And then you have Tom Steyer, who has no idea how anyone outside of his little gated community lives and just says, we need to tax rich. I'm the rich. Make me governor. That's Tom Steyer. And then third, you have Katie Porter, who is, aside from being a genuinely abusive person to her husband, to her staff, just a horrible lady. She has decided the move right here, right now is to act like Frodo Baggins on, on, on camera, but like with the personality of Gollum. And I'm realizing now that because she uses rather naughty words to communicate this, I'm gonna keep this until after the broadcast radio hour is finished regarding ice, because I told you that again, Democrats are trying to spike political momentum into the ground. Democrat, Connecticut Governor Lamont just signed a bill from allowing ice, Immigration Customs Enforcement to wear face coverings in the state at all. Here was, you know, taking a big victory lap. Oh, you know, it's aimed at protecting civil rights from ICE. That's how Channel 33 puts it. So federal courts have already struck that down in California. There is no law that Democrats have put forward yet that has been upheld or used language that would be different than what's already been smacked down. Meaning this. They really want to force ICE to oust themselves at a time when there was again, a 700% increase in attacks on law enforcement. That's going to get smacked down real quick in a hustle hurry. The precedent already exists and the language in the Connecticut bill is, I know this is going to shock you because you know how much I've been comparing Connecticut to California recently? Almost the exact same, but from the California. But wow, they're the exact same. So incredible. Not going to be useful at all. Meanwhile, my favorite thing here is that while you have Senate candidates like Peggy Flanagan in Michigan, you have that crazy fool from the Dearborn area running for the Senate who's just like openly praising Hamas and Hassan Piker and a ton of other stuff. The Democrats are bringing their most radical to the table. Bernie Sanders has come out and said, how dare you? We have to run the craziest people out there. Because even sure the Republicans, they learned the lesson that people thought was crazy. We have to run the crazy because Bernie Sanders said we have to run it. Go. People are looking for an alternative. People are looking for the shoot in the street and the bombing people. Where is my pudding? People want a vision as to where we go as a nation. Status quo politics is not good enough. So here you go, here's Bernie. He's trying to amp up, ramp up the populist sentiment on the left side of the aisle. There's one small problem there. The majority of voters in a general election are not the populist bases from either party. They're not the majority of voters on the right, including the lean right. Independents are not the populist base of the right. The majority of voters still somehow on the left side of the aisle, including left voting independents are not the hyper extreme progressive base, although that base is growing. And so if you're going to make the argument that you need to get into the election and that all of a sudden all of the normal, independent, ish, moderate people in the middle of the country are going to suddenly come out and vote for radical, then they're, you know, endorsing Peggy Flanagan. And what is the vision? The vision is that we will, we will give you everything for free. We'll give you the health care and we will give you the medical care and we will give you everything for free. And we will ban AI and robots because they scare me. And I do not. I did not like a robot with Will Smith. It was not very good. And then when you ask, well, wait a minute, the only guy in the country right now who is trying this crap is Zoran Mamdani in New York. And he has to come before the crowd at the podium every month and a half to announce, I have an announcement, we're out of money. And then everyone, you know, but it's okay because even though we're out of money, I still want more money. And like, that's his thing that doesn't make an appeal. There's no momentum generated There. And also, to be clear, really, to be fair, Americans are kind of tired of being told the next election is going to save everything. We're a very instant gratification society. But we've been told the next election is going to be amazing and you're going to have rainbows flooding out of every orifice. The government's not going to solve every problem that you have, nor should it. Radio Crew, we're going to send you out for the evening. We're going to continue here on the live stream. We've got a lot more to cover, including some clips I couldn't play on the broadcast show. It's the Tony Kinnit cast here on the Daily Signal. So what does Peggy Flanagan of California have to bring to the table? How is she going to get more socialist than, than Becerra? Well, she's going to do a few things. Number one, again, looking like Frodo Baggins is a good start. If you're running for sheriff in the shire, now running for governor of California against Xavier Becerra, probably not going to work. But either way, here you go. Second thing she's going to do, she's going to do that. That one congressional lady who said, I never cuss, but we have to f Trump, and everyone died on the inside. Well, here you go. Katie Porter, Frodo Baggins. Katie, before we go, any other issues, blind spots that you think maybe not be getting enough attention that you think is important for our audience to know?
B
Yeah, I mean, I would just mention two things. One, I've wanted to tell you this for a long time, but I came on Midas Touch a long time ago. I think when I first got ready to launch the campaign. And I've actually made a lot of references to the Midas Touch during this campaign. And what I always say to people
A
is, okay, first of all, simping for the network that you're on while you're doing the interview is really gay. It's really lame. Don't do it. Don't do it. And I have no problem with someone at the front of the back end going, hey, I love watching the show. That's cool. But, like, if every minute you're on the show, they're like, well, I mean, you know, you know how much we, you know, that with all of this. And we also love this, and we also love you. Oh, please, love me, love me. It does, in fact, come across as desperate. Maybe destroying the ring had a bigger impact on him than we all thought.
B
I get this question about Donald Trump, a Lot like what, what about Donald Trump? And I always say, you guys heard of the Midas touch? Like, what does that mean? And somebody will say, yeah, like you touch things and it turns to gold. And I always say, yeah, well, Donald Trump, he's got the shit touch. Everything he touches turns to shit. It's like the opposite of a Midas touch.
A
And people always laugh about, hahahaha. Get it. It's like the opposite. Get it? It's so fun. People ask me, okay, in politics, to be clear. And I can say this now, finally, as someone who occasionally gets a couple of questions, politically, I never get questions that. So why do you think of Donald Trump? No one, no one ever asked anyone that because everyone in the United States knows exactly who he is, period. At all times. I'll see. I get it. Get it. I swore I'm such a cool, hip, happening mom. My brat. Yes. I mean, fantastic. So California is doing really well with their candidates. This brings us over to Hakeem Jeffries, because a good old, Good old Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida, he signed into law today the latest redistricting measure. I will say as a Hoosier, I'm very jealous that my Senate majority leader, he goes on CNN and acts really stubborn and obstinate when he's asked if he would redistrict. Even though, again, Andre Carson's district in Indianapolis is a racially gerrymandered district. Anyhow, that's that in Florida, the House like, proposes a bill, the Senate passes it and it's on the governor's desk and he signs it. Amazing. I mean, I, I too hope that someday that we actually have a legislature that does things instead of a bold vision being, you know, tolling. I 70, you know, incredible. I know. I know a man can dream while I'm wishing for things. I love a pony. That brings us to the redistricting fight. So we've got a little bit here ready to go. Because again, you remember the Supreme Court last week struck down the racial gerrymandering thing. This made a lot of people very upset. So right up front at the very top, you've got J.B. kritzker, the governor of Golden Corral. He's here. He's ready to tell you that the Supreme Court is super duper racist and stuff. The Supreme Court's decision to gut the Voting Rights act is an abomination, frankly. It's an attack on a crown jewel of our constitutional republic, racial gerrymandering. That the crown jewel of our republic is drawing as soon as we import enough people here of an ethnicity, we draw a circle around them. That, again, looks about as logical as hair that's been dragged through the mud. Again, I remind you, Illinois's congressional map is a disaster. If you show Illinois's congressional map to children, they'll scream. That's the crown jewel of the country is saying, hey, there's enough of you here. Then everyone else in your district, screw you. Because since you're all the same color and you all smell the same, then you. You all are gonna vote the same. I mean, you know, some might say, wow, that's an incredibly racist thing to suggest. That is what Pritzker is alleging here. Every eligible voter, no matter who you are, counts in this country. That's true. Nothing has changed. Every eligible voter does count in this country. That's true. It is. Still, again, if you are a citizen of the United States, you may cast a ballot. Now, again, in your district, there may not be enough ballots to overcome the other party. But the Constitution wasn't written for the argument you're about to make. Representation matters whether you're in the majority or you're in the minority. Here in the land of Lincoln, we're fighting back, upholding our values and safeguarding democracy. Yes, we're fighting back. We're gonna safeguard democracy. And you. You know that this falls apart as well as I do, because now we have some very fine individuals out there that are losing their marbles. And when I say losing their marbles, they're throwing a conniption fit over the Supreme Court decision because Tennessee may be getting ready to do some redistricting. Marsha Blackburn has pushed this really heavily. Governor Bill Lee. Uh, he's called for a special session now to redraw Tennessee's U.S. house map. And this has upset people why? Because, again, you might suggest, well, Memphis, it has a lot of black people, so therefore, Memphis must have a black representative, right? Well, that's kind of what it appears Emmanuel Felton over here is trying to say. He says Memphis is the second blackest city in the country. I mean, I. I guess that, again, Byrne, Indiana, is a rather Swiss city. Do they get a. Do they get a Swiss represent? Anyway, it's the second blackest city in the country. Um, it's. And it's about to be gerrymandered within an inch of its life. So a white Republican can represent it in Congress. This was exactly the thing Congress was trying to address with the Voting Rights Act. Um, now, you may be out there suggesting. Well, if he says that A white person is going to replace, you know, whatever. Then there must be a black Democrat who's currently in office because it's the second blackest city ever. I mean, wow. Only there's a problem. The current representative is this. Is this white dude. It's a little Emmanuel. Emmanuel Cohen here. So the. The. The. The. The white dude is. Is the representative. Well, okay, well, who's he running against? I bet he's running against, like, Colonel Sanders, like, the widest guy ever. Uh, no, he's running against a black woman as a Republican. So Democrats are doing fine. It's. It's all going very, very well at the moment. Real, real special. Uh, now, I've mentioned Mamdani earlier. New York City's Mamdani has, you know, called ICE Cruel and inhumane after a mob assaulted federal agents arresting an illegal immigrant in Brooklyn. This is really not going to go well over the long term. Mamdani's approval rating is already sinking like a stone. You can only go, hi, I'm. I'm Donnie. I'm. I'm here to look at your house and your apartment and, oh, hey, their window seal isn't window sealing. Like, you can only do that so much before people go, hey, that's really great, but what are you doing? And by the way, this has happened to the right as well. You've had Republicans who have gone over and done, like, big rallies. Trump learned this during the previous midterm elections, for example. He would go and he would do a big rally, and it wouldn't necessarily change his performance or the candidate, the Republican candidate's performance in that area. Why? Because when you're in the middle of governing, people don't really want big rallies and shows here. They want you to do the stuff. They want results. And it is one of the reasons why Americans are rather concerned over, again, a particular lack of results. But, hey, no worries. Hakeem Jeffries, he's out here ready to go. He says the two things. Number one, the Supreme Court, super corrupt and evil. So we have to rig the court forever. Okay? And then number two, it's time to redistrict New York again, which just, ahem, quote, today, House Democrat leader Hakeem Jeffries and Committee on House Administration ranking member Joe Morell released a statement announcing a redistricting initiative, the New York Democracy Project. House Republicans have failed and the American people know it, said House Democrat leader Hakeem Jeffries. Like Will Shatner and Barack Obama mixed together. So, again, gerrymandering is bad until it's Good until it's bad until it's good again. We'll see where again some of this stuff goes. It will be funny to watch though, as with regard to Illinois and New York and California for example, as well, who think they can just do like these super total ultimate gerrymandering things. Guys, you can only draw the lines in such a specific way as long as there are definitive populations spread along a certain density. Like as much fun as it would be to draw some insane child's loop to loop mobile game puzzle of connecting one pipe to the other. Yeah, it doesn't quite work like that regarding what the federal government does require. And a lot of state constitutions require of redistricting. So best of luck to them. Very exciting and stuff for sure. And finally, that brings us to kind of one last thing here before we toddle off. And that involves a really disturbing video from two gay dudes that's been getting a lot of national attention on the cultural side. So again, on the cultural side, we've talked about kind of the political aims, the economic proposals. Now we have the cultural aims. So right now there is a trend in the country that has not yet ended of individuals who are on the LGBTQ plus whatever side that are adopting children and then putting those kids on camera, which, for the record, I really don't like it when parents, you know, put their kids all over the camera anyway. I really can't stand that. But yeah, I, I really don't see this going the way that a lot of people are, are hoping for. So we're gonna pivot over to a really excellent conversation with Katie Faust from them before us. A lot of good stuff tonight. Don't go anywhere. Lots more to get to. It's the Tony Kenneth cast here on the Daily Signal, The Tony Kennett cast on 93 WIBC. Another week, another batch of ridiculously silly viral videos. Because God forbid that we actually don't make a mockery out of the adoption system and the surrogacy system, just the entire systems by going to the worst points of them. Katie Faust, founder and president of THEM before, a good friend of the show. Great to have you, Katie.
B
It's so good to be with you, Tony.
A
Well, let's dive right in. I know that it's, it's unfortunate that we have to see consistent examples of people thinking that parenting is some type of amusement attraction. You can just kind of buy into if you're feeling into it. Give us a little bit of detail here.
B
Well, I think the video that really caught everybody's attention was this, you know, seen tens of millions of times image of a man kind of bouncing a baby on his chest. And he was saying, do you want dada or do you want Pop? And the baby says, mama. It's like a five month old baby. And he goes, no, no, no, you can't have mama. There is no mama. You can have Dada. And the baby starts crying, hey, hey.
A
Who do you want, Dada or pop? No, Mama. Do you want Dada or pop? Who do you want, Dada or pop?
B
Nope.
A
Do you want dad?
B
Dad?
A
You want Pop? No way, Jose. I think. Oh, you. There is no mama.
B
I'm so sorry.
A
You have dad, dad and you have Pop. Two choices. No mama. No, No mama. Dad, dad or Pop.
B
And I'll tell you at them before us, my nonprofit, we have been talking about the harm of mother and father loss since we started our non profit in 2018. But that video did something that no amount of statistics, no studies and no fact sheets have ever been able to do and was to show that the imposition of maternal or paternal loss harms children even at the youngest ages. And then that children who are put into these modern families, even they are expected to affirm, validate and support the adult identity. And I feel like it was the video that sort of broke the spell and allowed a lot of people to say, I don't like this and I'm not going to support it.
A
There's something that is, I think, that came out of the Doubtfire era where we just decided that marriage was something that needed to be kind of deconstructed and that children could really just have whomever, you know, you could have, you know, dad and then Big Bird and then it was fine. That was all that you needed. And it is quite insidious again, as a former science teacher and recognizing the biological necessities for humankind to have a mother and a father. And when that's not met, and even worse when it's, when it's bastardized and when it's castigated, when it's poured into this, I mean, just this disturbing mold, what does everyone jump to? They always jump to, well, would you rather the kid was homeless with no legs or arms? And then they also have eight diseases. He's like, wait, why is, why is that the alternative here?
B
Yeah, that's exactly right. Very often to make their case, they have to appeal to other forms of family brokenness and child loss to say, see, it's not that bad.
A
Would you rather they're beaten every day? Like all their entire lives. Like, wait, wait, who, What. What homes are you looking at here?
B
Well, that's exactly right. But it does show an actual consistency in the world view in that they know that it's something broken. They have to compare this functional system, this family structure where the child is missing their mother or father to something else that's broken. Well, there's all kinds of kids from divorced homes. Or you're saying single mothers can't be. Well, you know, there's kids in the foster care. Yes, you are right. You are right to compare this situation with those other forms of child loss, because this is just a different manifestation of children being denied something that they are made for. What you really need to do is compare it to the ideal. What is the ideal? Unfortunately, it's that bigoted natural family. That natural family where the child doesn't have to lose their mother or father to be in that home. Now, of course, 11 years ago, the Supreme Court said to our entire nation, they mandated a form of family where the child must lose their mother or father to be in it. So you can look at that video and you can say, oh, these selfish men. So you can say, oh, I don't like the practice of surrogacy, but you did not get that baby standing on the dad's chest crying, without Obergefell. You cannot have that without gay marriage. Gay marriage was the ruling in this country that said this is not just permissible, it's something we're going to promote.
A
One of the things that I look at for kind of the revitalization of culture over the next couple of decades doesn't come entirely from kind of government decisions, because government decisions are important. They're permissive. They're promotional, of course, as you just talked about. But it's this cultural and this individual revival. And I'm seeing a lot of people get upset, justifiably so, at these really disgusting videos. And it's not. It's not even something where, you know, if you'll see a video of a car accident or of tornado wreckage, you'll see people want to go back and watch it again because it's kind of almost sickly fascinating. This is not one of those instances. I saw that video and I put the phone down. Didn't want to see anymore. Didn't want to see anything else for the day. There's a different kind of sick to the stomach kind of attitude that comes out of something like this. And I think it's. It's really interesting what you said, that we are seeing more and more people who kind of swore off of politics that are seeing this and going, that's enough. I'm not, I'm not going to do this anymore. No thanks. I, I'm out. And, and so those people that are watching this for the first time and they are sick to their stomach because of a child crying for the mother who is not there and who is being kept from that child on purpose. What are the next steps? And I'm, I'm not trying to ask that as a panacea, like, oh, hey, what are the next steps? And then you provide an eight week program. What do you see just off the top of your head here that people need to start doing to move the ball in the other direction?
B
Well, the good news is, Tony, I got a program for you. There's three things that have to happen. If you get justifiably enraged about a child who's been commercially denied their mother and then made to cry because they somehow have not been infused with enough political correctness to validate their father's distorted form of family. There's three things we need to do. Number one, we need to force the law to tell the truth about marriage and family. We need to force the law to state plainly children come from a man and woman. They need that man and woman. They get their identity from that man and woman. They're most likely to be safe and loved when they're raised by that man and woman. And they developmentally are advantaged when they're raised by a man and a woman. The law needs to tell the truth. Obergefell required that the law lie and say love makes a family and any two will do. That's when it comes to the kids. That's not true. Number two, we need to change public opinion. We need to actually start to talk to our countrymen. We need to present a compelling case about why if the adults are happy, the kids will be happy. Simply doesn't wash when it comes to the actual outcomes of kids. We've been studying family structure for decades and we know what it takes to allow children to thrive. And it is, whenever possible, the marriage of their biological mother and father in a permanent low conflict relationship. We need to make the case. And then third, the church has got to find its spine. The church is mandated with protecting the fatherless. But what's happening in the realm, culturally, legally and technologically in the world of marriage and family is we are manufacturing fatherless and motherless kids. That is the domain of the church. That is where God's people have to start speaking up.
A
So for the church to find its spine here, obviously that comes in a form of combating hedonism because this any two will do as long as the parents are happy. There is a. And I'm going to get hate from the comments. I don't care from, from a common generational flaw. So I mean everybody but as much a crud as the boomers get Generation X bought and sold this idea of never growing up, they got out of. They got in the 80s and 90s, won the cold War and it was just eternal party. And it is a common theme that a lot of us in the millennial generation have parents who decided they just didn't want to grow up. They were just going to party. Just it was all about my pleasure and what I want to do and where I want to go and what I, I want to experience. And. And if you don't like that, too bad. And kids were cut, split, shipped, sent, divided, moved. And I've seen this too many times to sit here and suggest that this idea that the American dream is simply finding your quickest route to your next bite, drink, orgasm, movie, whatever, it's ruined this country. It has. That endless pursuit of pleasure has screwed over the lives of hundreds of millions of children. And it's only going to get worse if we don't directly address that. And I think you're, you're right. By the, by the means of the
B
church, the name of my organization is Them Before Us. Because someone's got to have to make a choice. Is it the kids that are going to sacrifice for us, the adults, so we can have that next orgasm, that next hit, that next bite, that next validate sex court case that validates, you know, whatever it is that we want for the immediate moment, or is it going to be us before them, you know, who is going to do the hard thing? Is the. Are the adults going to do hard things for kids? That's a society characterized by justice.
A
Right.
B
For so long, we've said it's going to be the kids that sacrifice for adults. And that's why we're seeing such rampant injustice across the nation.
A
I think that again, right on point. This is one of the reasons why we recommend you go to Them Before Us. Them before us Dot com. Katie, I can't tell you how happy I am to actually finally get you on the show and talk about these things. We'll have to bring you back when we have a little bit more time and kind of shred through some of this stuff. Together.
B
Great. Thanks for having me, Tony.
A
All right, before we get out of that, and I will get to some of this, you know, some of the extra, extranalities, I do want to make it clear that there is a ton that you can do, a ton that you can do for those who are in really awful situations like that. Those who foster children, those who participate in our adoption system are some of the best people in this country. Those that voluntarily get into that to try to give kids a better life of a mother and a father are some of the greatest people among us and organizations that support those efforts. Because, again, hey, it's National Foster Care Month being May. That brings us over to some of the organizations that I like the best, including our show's sponsor, the Alliance Defending Freedom. They're doing a ton to support foster and adoptive families in the United States. Over 300,000 kids are in foster care in the US right now, and states desperately need parents to step up and meet that need. But of course, of course, of course. In some states, government officials are turning away Christian foster parents, all because of their biblical beliefs on sex and gender. The Alliance Defending Freedom is standing with these parents against this kind of discrimination, and they've helped overturn some of these ridiculous and unethical state policies. Some states still discriminate against Christian foster parents. The ADF is standing with a family in Washington, for example, whose foster care renewal was restricted because of their faith. Right now, your gift helps parents stand up for their rights in cases like these all over the country. Text Tony T o N Y to 83848 or visit joinadf.com Tony to give in support of Christian foster parents today. Love the adf. We're thrilled that they sponsor the show. Now, right before we are done with things here, a little bit of a proviso, a little asterisk, if you will. Because I always get a lot of grief over this. No matter who it is, when and where and why. When I make a generational observation, and in which case I say there is a trend among the baby boomers or among the Generation X or Generation iy, the Millennials, or Generation Z, that does not mean everyone in this generation is painted with this broad brush. No. I'm sure you will recall that the Millennials were criticized for being a bunch of tide pod eating, entitled brats. I would certainly hope that you don't think that I'm one of those. So when I say Generation X, the culture of like never growing up, just get out of school and just kind of like the 80s musical never ends. Yeah, that's really, really prevalent in that generation. That doesn't mean that those of you watching the show. In fact, if you're watching the show, it's extremely likely that's not you because those kind of things come with every generation. So anywho, to clarify that, which I do occasionally, that's one of those. It's one of those things that I do if I ever issue like kind of broad pattern psychology analyses. No, that's not saying necessarily you. And in fact, I certainly do love our Generation X crowd. In fact, I love them so much that I'm going to play exclusively 70s, 80s and early 90s bumper tracks for the rest of this week. When we get into segments, of course, that's all of my entire bumper music library. But anyway, I'll do a little bit of mail time here just at the end, just for you, because there have been some stellar questions over in our Discord server. There's a link to that in the description, the mailtime channel, some really excellent ones. We're going to get into them first from Del deweese. Oh wait, how could I be so foolish? Hold on. Mail time. Mail time from Del Doisse. What do you think will come out of the Arab nations coming together to fight Iran? So the Gulf states, in this case fighting Iran, the uae, Saudi Arabia after Iran hit the UAE and others today? Well, once it begins, it will be kind of a floodgate bursting situation. I can't say for sure what's going to happen because I don't think that the rest of these countries know themselves. The Kurds have been an awkward question in the Middle east for a very long time and have been screwed over for a very long time. So there is a. You really don't want to just tip over something that's going to result in Balkanization because Balkanization and ethnic groups splitting things up, hence the Balkans, that causes chaos in regions or in the entire region, not just in Iran. So they're probably considering that the most likely outcome, though. What do I think is going to come out of it? I think the Abraham Accords are essentially already here. I mean, the UAE has just left OPEC or has just announced they are leaving opec. So on the other side of this, if we actually see independent economic, regional infrastructure developed and Israel and Lebanon and Jordan brought into that fold and we actually see kind of a rebuilding of commerce that we haven't really seen since kind of the last days of the Ottoman Empire. Yeah, I mean, we could see something really cool. The question is when, what and where. Because at some point you do have to go in and kind of snip the scissors. That's the real thing. You actually have to send some kind of group like the Kurds in to actually rectify things. That would be the answer there. So one person said it means no US boots on the ground. You know, the other powers will send in troops. I mean again, at this point people think there is a huge standing army of the IRGC that is ready and hiding behind every nook and cranny and hill. Nope, no guys. Iraq, Afghanistan and Iran are very, very different countries and require very, very different things. So that answers to Nut Smasher again. Beautiful username over on mailtime asks, well, hey, why don't we just push a, you know, Blue 82, a slightly explosive nuclear style device out of the back of a C130 over the top of Iran's Tolbooth Island? Essentially, why don't we just drop a lot of heavy explosive ordinance on the top of the Strait of Hormuz Island? Well, number one, because they are using civilian hostages, they are keeping people in that general area to dissuade a daisy cutter style approach. And there's a little bit more to it when you have defensive dug in positions than just hitting those particular strike points. There are ways around it and things to do. But just dropping a large piece of ordinance while exciting the, the they really, they recognize what they're doing by keeping civilian hostages. I mean again, they, they made all of the hay in the world about a, a girls school they kept open right next to an IRGC missile base. Because that's the point. Civilian casualties is a feature for them, not a bug from Steve. Do I think the culture of entitlement to government money is a part of the reason fraud is being normalized in certain segments of culture? Yes, but you probably won't like my answer as to, as to why. And I see the two very, very kind super chats that have come in tonight. I'll be glad to answer those here in just a second. The entitlement for American money as soon as the government became a middleman, meaning you pay lots of taxes to totally get your money back in these other services. Wink. I earned that Social Security. It's, it's there waiting for me. It's not. But anyway, that kind of a thing, that's what's driven a lot of it. When the government became the redistributor of your own monies, you become entitled to it. I mean, that is true almost Anywhere, at any time the government gets involved in a service. It's been said in the education policy community that if the government started teaching school children to tie their shoes tomorrow in five years, we would be wondering how kids would tie their shoes if they didn't go to school and learn it there. So it's that kind of a thing. Yes. I think that there's a lot of immigrant cultures that are. That are exploiting American kindness and generosity. That was the point that Carol Markowitz made that I thought was. Was really apropos. But all overall instant gratification and just kind of surplus managed by the government. People don't care about the government, and so things never really get solved. I mean, people also have really no concept of these monies at a large scale, and that's a big part of it. And they don't feel the impact because things are kind of dispersed over kind of a large swath of things. That brings me to two very, very kind, large super chats, which, again, you guys don't need to give huge super chats for the show, for sure. From Kevin Stankowitz, who has given several kind super chats before a $20 super chat. He said, President Trump needs to use the Defense Production act to require California oil refineries to stay open and prevent Gavin Newsom from shutting them down, cutting off the Southwest and the Pacific Fleet's fuel supply. So the answer to that question is, yes, he probably does. But this is, in fact, a slippery slope. I'm sorry, The Defense Production act, the idea that the president of the United States can just declare a national emergency again, in this case, I agree with you think he's right. I don't like it anyway. Even though I want him to do it, I don't like it anytime the president of a republic starts declaring things national emergencies because people stop caring about the legislature and the legislature gets into gridlock and the legislature never passes anything, and people are like, we need to pass stuff. And so the executive says, don't worry, I'll do it. Executive order time. Every republic that has tried that has failed. I will repeat that. Every single republic in history where the executive started declaring national emergencies and issuing a ton of executive orders. Trump is nowhere near the first of these, by the way. Everyone has fallen, every one of them. The only way forward for this country is Congress caring. That's it. That's the only way forward. Now, that said, given the current infrastructure, should Trump actually do kind of the Reagan with the TSA and actually kind of federalize certain production points Given that he has signed certain executive actions declaring a national security issue. Yes, I think he should. And there's a refinery of some sort in Indiana as well that had some labor strike issues. And that's what I was alluding to earlier in the show when I said that I do think that's necessary. But again, you know, there's no consequences. And as a user put it, battle gnome. Congress doesn't care. Correct. Congress doesn't care. And you know, this, this can make you kind of a doomer, you know, oh, no, we're all going to die. It's all over. Then I guess we're in trouble. No, that's not true. The answer is it's just going to get worse before it gets better. That's the answer. The answer is it's going to get worse until Americans suddenly figure out, and I'm sorry, I hate to bash, but the upper age of millennials, the upper bracket of millennials, Generation X and a lot of boomers who have now boomers have taken on some of the political responsibility of their parents generation, the silent generation. And now boomers are some of the most politically active in the country, where a lot of them, again, probably most, not of you are where they weren't politically active 20 years ago. Now they're very politically active because they see the cliffs, Generation X as a whole again. Again, since you're watching the show, probably not you. They're still chilling and relax again, suburban American, screw it. I don't need to care. Culture is super prevalent and millennials too. Friend of mine in college, when I known him my whole life, I would go into his room to like, talk about something big that was going on and he would say, I don't care about politics. Leave me alone. A lot of millennial culture carry that as well. Well, now you actually have a new couple of generations that are carrying a little bit more than previous ones that will result in congressmen and women being elected who are better. Brandon Gill is a perfect example of this. Who cares? And you're seeing people start to hold some congressman's feet to the fire a little bit more than usual. That will at some point break and you'll start to see majorities and things move. We're just not there yet. It will get worse before it gets better. I wish I could tell you that it wasn't. It's going to get worse before it gets better. That's the truth. So we live in a gerontocracy. No, we live in an apathetic technocracy to Be clear, we gave away all of our political power to those who would take care of it for us so that we could go have sex and watch sports. That would be why in the 80s and the 90s, that's what we did as a country. We took the terrible sexual revolution from the 60s and the 70s. We said, oh, well, we won the Cold War anyway, we don't have to care. Let Congress take care of it. And then it just slowly just desisted into sludge. And then Bill Clinton got lazy with the Muslims in the Middle east, which then evoked 9, 11. And then America fought a war and then got lazy. And then Congress got lazy and the war turned sour and ruined it all. And then the economy got ruined because, again, no one was paying attention or holding oversight, and everyone just got lazy. And laziness allows for corruption. Exhibit Freaking A. All of the corruption right now in Ohio and Minnesota. Why wasn't Governor DeWine's gubernatorial office taking a closer look at state finances and federal finances in his state after the Nick Shirley stuff in Minnesota was going on? What do you think he's. He's immune to knowing what was going on regarding Somali migrant fraud? No. Now, does this mean he's complicit? No, it means he was lazy. Laziness is genuinely the cause of, like, 90% of this country's problems. You say? How do you know that? Because as soon as Americans stop being lazy ever, they get stuff done at a scale that no one can compete with on the global stage. So that said, last but not least, Marcus Holliday, a very kind $50 super chat. I don't have to do this. Said quote, great show tonight, Tony. Thank you. Said question. I'm kind of at the point where I really don't care if we lose the midterms, given how Trump is governed with the executive authority that he has for most of the term. Am I wrong for feeling that way? No, you're not wrong for feeling that way. That feeling comes naturally. I'm sorry, I didn't read this question before I said it. Hey, nice to be here. Where I was kind of leading the conversation. No, Americans don't care. Which is again, why I will say the reason that the congressional ballot right now is within a couple of points of each other, which it is not supposed to be. Let me repeat that. It is not supposed to be for a midterm year. It's not supposed to be that close right now is because people don't care. Congress has done nothing. The big beautiful bill. So amazing. You're never gonna have to pass another bill. It's gonna be incredible. Okay, great. That's all the Congress has passed in the Lake and Riley Act. That's it. Yay. I mean, that's it. I mean, where are the measures and the policies that are improving things, that are taking things apart, that are garbage? They're not there. The Republican majority has been really slim. And it's only gotten slimmer because people like Marjorie Taylor Greene wanted to play goofball stupid politics. And on the Senate side, you have a bunch of Republican senators who are worthless because they don't want to rock the boat. There you go. That's it. Now, should you care if we lose the midterms on the right side of the aisle? Oh, yes, absolutely you should care. This is, this is an issue, though, that you have that feeling right now. It's not the problem. We all get that point. Absolutely. But there's a common sentiment. There's a guy on a radio, or used to be on a radio station that we broadcast out of, Hear me say first out of 93, WIBC. There's a guy there that would, back when he was on the station, he would constantly make the case that, I don't even care if Republicans lose. Republicans need to lose, then they would suddenly start caring. That's not what makes people start caring. Losing elections does not make people start caring. Nope. I will remind you there was supposed to be a super amazing red wave radical in the Biden midterm and it wasn't. That's not what make people start caring and start getting serious. No, there was more populist outrage afterward. But did it suddenly, you know, make everything better? No. No, it didn't. Republicans gave up Michigan and then Michigan has been blue ever since. Ever, ever, ever since Republicans gave up California. Maybe a Democrat needs to run things here. So we have a Republican that's better than Arnold Schwarzenegger. And then you got it. And guess what? It never went red again. Ever. So be careful what it is that you wish for. You're justified in feeling that way. Absolutely. But does that mean, oh, hey, well, then just, you know, screw it all. And again, people from the comments, pass the SAVE Act. The SAVE act ain't passing. The Senate would have to break the filibuster. The Senate's not going to break the filibuster because Mitch McConnell and Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski and Thom Tillis, we have a 53 vote majority. So if you have four Republicans who vote no, that means it's 49 to 51 filibuster's not getting them broken. Senate Majority Leader Thune is not pushing the four other Republican moderate senators to do their job. That's why it's not so. Just like this is also the issue. There's no national pressure on individuals. We just shout slogans, slogan, catchphrase. So not to black pill you, you know, on some things, but again, every once in a while, I'm not going to sugarcoat things for you guys. So that's the answer to the question. I really appreciate you guys joining us tonight. I really hope that you are back with us on our beautiful coverage tomorrow evening, 7pm Eastern. It's the Tony Knit cast, nationally syndicated on the Daily Signal and first on 93 WIBC. Y' all take care. Some follow the noise.
