Welcome to the trial of Diddy.
Kayla Brantley
Welcome back to the trial of Diddy. We are now five weeks into the trial and the prosecution's case continues to throw up some more revelations about Diddy, his behavior and his lifestyle. Today we're going to focus on the testimony of Jane. She's another one of the key witnesses in this case and one of four alleged victims.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
That's right, Kayla. We're going to hear how like Cassie Ventura, she says she was also forced to take part in freak offs with other men while Diddy watched.
Kayla Brantley
How the single mom feared she would lose the roof over her head if she refused Diddy because he paid her rent.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
And how Diddy kicked down all the doors at her home and punched her during a violent argument. Welcome to the trial of Diddy. Pandora's box.
Kayla Brantley
So just as we were recording our last episode on Thursday, Hermania, the court started hearing the testimony of another of the prosecution's key witnesses in this trial. This, of course, is a woman using the pseudonym Jane. She's one of four of his alleged victims and she's still on the stand being grilled under cross examination by the rapper's defense team as we speak. We're gonna bring you all of that on Friday. But before we tell you all about her direct testimony, we'll just need to update you guys quickly about a couple of things that happened before court got underway on Tuesday.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
So on Saturday, Diddy's defense applied for a mistrial, claiming the prosecution knowingly presented false testimony to the court. This testimony was given by Brianna Bungolen last week. To recap, she's the friend of Cassie's who has already testified about how Diddy allegedly dangled her from a 17 story balcony in Los Angeles back in September20. But Diddy's defense team presented Evidence that showed the rapper was actually in New York at the time of this alleged incident. The defense claimed that the prosecution knew this information and presented the testimony anyway. Now, this morning, that motion for a mistrial was denied by the judge. The judge also denied a request by the prosecution to bring back forensic psychologist Don Hughes, whose testimony we also heard in an earlier episode. And, and we also learned today that they want to have one of the jurors, juror number six, removed from the jury. Now, we don't know exactly why yet, but that's the latest coming out of court this morning.
Kayla Brantley
So that's today, but let's rewind a little bit and go back to Jane. She has been on the stand since Thursday afternoon. She told the court that she dated Diddy from 2021 until right before his arrest in September of 2024. She said she met him in 2020 when she was on a girls trip to Miami with a friend who was dating him at the time. She was, she said when the relationship began it was loving and it was passionate. They had fun nicknames for each other. He called her Bert, she called him Ernie. And I was in court watching as she became emotional and broke down. When she told the jury that things really changed in May of 2021 when Diddy asked her to take part in her first freak off with a male escort in a hotel. She said she thought it would be a one off but it opened a Pandora's box in the relationship and she was unable to close it from then on. She said that 90% of the she had was with other men while the rapper watched.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
And her testimony closely echoed Cassie's claims. Like Cassie, Jane told the jury about feeling, quote, disgusted at being forced to take part in drug fueled sex sessions in hotels, sometimes for days on end. She claimed she was often high during the freak offs and that Diddy had a network of employees who would get drugs for him. She said that once she was asked by one of the rapper's bodyguards to carry a bag of ecstasy pills on a flight from LA to Miami. When she asked Diddy's personal assistant, Christina Korem, if it was safe, Korem allegedly replied, it's fine, I do it all the time. Now this is significant because we know Diddy has been charged with racketeering and in order to prove that, prosecutors need to show he was running a criminal enterprise and conspiring to commit crime. Of course, as we have mentioned, Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all the charges. Jen claims she repeatedly told Diddy that she did not want to have sex with other men. And she only agreed to make him happy. She said he was full of broken promises. Jane said one time he told her they were going on a yacht in the Caribbean, but instead they flew to Miami for a freak off and then back to Los Angeles again. She said she was a single mom, he was paying her $10,000 a month rent and she felt obligated to take part. And this was a theme of a lot of her testimony on Monday when she returned to the witness stand after the weekend. The fact that she was tied to Diddy financially.
Jane
Yeah.
Kayla Brantley
And she said that In April of 2023, Diddy started paying the rent on her LA home. He also spent tens of thousands of dollars on furniture as well. She said that a few months later, she texted Diddy to tell him she was worried she would lose the roof over her head if she didn't do what he wanted. This is what she wrote. Her words have been voiced by an actor.
Jane
I don't want to feel obligated to perform these nights in fear of losing the roof over my head.
Kayla Brantley
Prosecutor Maureen Comey asked what she meant by that. Again, their exchange has been voiced by actors.
Maureen Comey
Jane, when you wrote that, what were you talking about?
Jane
I was talking about the feelings I started to develop regarding Shawn and this house and the little things he would say and just the little guilt, trippy things that he would say around me about the house and me feeling like I had to perform.
Maureen Comey
For how long had you felt like you had to perform?
Jane
Pretty much since I got the home.
Maureen Comey
And when did you get the home?
Jane
April of 2023.
Maureen Comey
And what made you feel like you had to perform after you got the home in April of 2023?
Jane
Because I felt like he had made such a big purchase and I felt that this was something I had to do in return to make him feel okay about that.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
Jane said she told Diddy that ever since she had opened the, quote, Pandora's box, one night of fun had become the entirety of their relationship. She said the freak offs made her feel, quote, disgusted with herself and that she was, quote, confusing your lust for me with, quote, real love. The text continued, I don't want me.
Jane
Play this role in your life anymore. It sucks, Leezy and makes me feel disgusted with myself. I feel it's the only reason you had me around and that you pay for the house.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
Jane then told the jury that she knew that while she was dating Diddy, he was also seeing other women. She said she never spoke to or met any of them. But in September of that year, she said she heard Diddy bragging on a podcast about having sex for, quote, 48 hours straight with one of these women. This girlfriend was also a guest on the show. After that, Jane said she texted Diddy to say she did not want to go to New York to see him. She said she told him, quote, it's clear you just want me there to use me for a hotel binge. You have plenty of hoes for that, she said. Diddy replied that it was just, quote, podcast talk and that he had not had sex with other women and that he was tired of her, quote, false accusations. But Jane said she let him know that it wasn't just podcast talk and that she knew he was telling the truth on the show.
Kayla Brantley
Yeah, and I just want to mention here that while Jane was giving all of this distortion, disturbing testimony, talking about freak offs and having sex with escorts, I was in the overflow room of the court when a child walked in. So the court is open to the public, so anyone can walk in. And in front of me, it looked like this family sat down and there was a young girl, maybe 10 to 12 years old, and they were right in front of me. So when they walked in, everyone was kind of looking around like, this is pretty odd. And then at some point, someone alerted the court officer, and then the family was removed. And then once that happened, you know, everyone went back to listening to this gut wrenching testimony by Jane. The jury also heard voice notes that Diddy left for Jane after she accused him of being with another woman, which she saw proof of on Instagram. In the recording, Diddy tells Jane that the woman is just a friend, but he also says, quote, I am single. I can do what I want. Here's the original audio from that voice note.
Diddy's Assistant
Yeah, that's my friend. I'm in Miami. I don't have a lot of friends out here, okay? She asked me if she could work out with me. I said, okay, you got to believe what you want. It's the last time you're gonna be cursing at me, disrespecting me over nothing like I have. I'm a human being. I'm not gonna lock myself up in a. In a room and have no friends. I don't have a bunch of guy friends. I already told you that. And she's just came over to work out like that. But I'm not going to be explaining. It don't matter if I just got finished the other day. I'm single. I could do whatever the I want to, but I Didn't. You're straight flipping out on me. And I told you that you had one more time to do this. Flipping out on me because somebody came to work out with me at my house. You're nuts. So be sad, go crazy. Do whatever you want to do, okay? I don't deserve you. I don't deserve being honest with somebody. And then every time they see somebody around, they like, I'm doing something, working out.
Kayla Brantley
The jury also heard another voice note left by Diddy where he's telling Jane, quote, get on your job, and saying that she doesn't know how to move on. Here's that original audio.
Diddy's Assistant
Hey, I really don't know what's going on with you, but I just wanted to just give you a heads up that I'm about to really disappear on you. You feel me? I'm not going to be playing these games with you at all. At all. So, I don't know. You think you silence. Treating me, treating me. And you think I'm gonna be. Nah, you'll have a rude awakening. You'll just have silence and ain't nobody threatening you. And I ain't trying to go back and forth with no woman. You know what I'm saying? I'm telling you, I ain't got no time for no games. Where my life is at right now. I don't have no time for no games. Baby girl, me and you could be mad. I could have a spat. We can have whatever. Then after that, you better get on your job. That's really. That. That's. That's. That's all it is, cuz you got me on my job. Nah, it ain't gonna. It ain't never gonna work like that over here. You know what I'm saying? I was trying not to leave this message, but you have left me no choice. So how do you. You, You.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
You.
Diddy's Assistant
You going the direction of, like, moving on like that, or you like, just like, have me just keep moving? Ain't no threat. I'm just being clear. I can't do with you every time you get upset. Girl, girl, girl, I done sent you flowers already. Ain't nobody talking about in the past. That's what I'm talking about. You don't know how to just move on. How could somebody, like, have a relationship with you, even as a friend, and you don't know how to move on? You go to a mother like it just goes crazy. Just stop. I'm saying let's move on. And my tone is like this.
Kayla Brantley
I'm just waking up she said she and Diddy got into an argument when she found out he was texting her to try and set up a freak off while with an ex girlfriend at the same time. Her words are voiced by an actor.
Jane
I was furious because I didn't appreciate that he was with her while he was saying, set up a party for me while he's with this other woman. And yeah, just didn't make me feel good.
Kayla Brantley
The jury was shown a series of texts they exchanged.
Jane
Let's stop mixing the two. It's not me.
Sean Diddy Combs
What girl? What time you free tomorrow? I need you too. Don't say no to me like I don't say no to you. Please.
Jane
You make it very clear you don't love me. You make it very clear what you want from me. Once you introduce these women to peak and that lifestyle, you'll be good.
Kayla Brantley
And just to explain here that P in the message is Paul the entertainer, an escort who regularly took part in the freak offs. Jane said the argument continued over text the following day and she told him that he was using her.
Jane
I'm not an animal. I am not a porn star. Our experiences are desensitizing sex for me. I don't want to be fucked and mistreated. I don't feel like performing loveless, cold sex.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
In response, she said Diddy told her she needed to chill and that her, quote, detective skills on Instagram where she was seeing him with these other women were making her crazy. Prosecutor Comey asked her whether she was jealous.
Jane
At this point in time, I'm not sure if I was even jealous. I think I was just really frustrated that I felt there was more pressure on me and more was asked of me out of everyone else. And it felt like there was just an imbalance that I just had to earn just basic things from my relationship like love and respect and romance that I felt like he was giving to everybody else and was clearly capable of it, but with me it just seemed impossible.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
She said she told Diddy that he took every other woman on trips and dates and he only wanted her for the, quote, dirty shit in hotels. She said nothing satisfied him and he pushed her to do more and more. And the sex sessions were, quote, beating the love out of their relationship. But she also said that when she tried to push back and told him she needed a break from the freak offs, he would quote, love bomb her and try to get her to come around.
Jane
He showers me with affection, adoration to a really persistent level. It's very overwhelming. And me having deep feelings for him, it Felt good and it was something that I wanted. So I came around it a lot whenever he wanted me or wanted. One of these nights, the love bombing and the persistency would start.
Kayla Brantley
She said that Diddy would send her texts asking if he could come around to, quote, my house, which he was referring to her home, which he paid rent for. She said that one time Diddy sent her seven identical messages saying, quote, are you going to let me in our house? Before she reluctantly agreed to see him.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
Jane said that around this time, Diddy persuaded her to take part in a, quote, sobriety party, which was one last freak off before he quit drugs for 30 days. She described it as her most awful experience so far. She said she tried to do it without taking any drugs, but she had to have sex with three men and midway through she threw up in the toilet. But Diddy told her she had to, quote, finish strong and keep going. So she obliged and had sex with the final escort. Jane said she felt absolutely terrible afterwards and suggested to Diddy that they take a break.
Jane
I remember voicing my frustrations and my pain and my agony about the most recent hotel night and how I wasn't okay and I wasn't feeling good. And he responds by saying, like, okay, cool, what do you need another three months in the house? Because I'm not going to be paying for somebody that I'm not even seeing.
Kayla Brantley
Jane said that she was absolutely livid.
Jane
I felt like, what does the house have to do with what I'm saying? And why, when I'm in this dark moment that you just completely flip it to the house and. And not listening to where my pain is lying.
Kayla Brantley
She said she told him he was threatening the livelihood of herself and her child and was using the roof over her head as leverage for the freak offs. The next text exchange between them begins with Jane.
Jane
You have me on constant pins and needles and now I'm sick because of you. Leave me alone.
Sean Diddy Combs
I will. Let's just leave each other alone. You're fucking crazy. For real.
Jane
Everyone warned me.
Sean Diddy Combs
Now you done went too far, baby girl. Wish me the best. I'm not angry. I'm more surprised. But the beauty is we both don't have to do anything we don't want to do. And I just want to go my separate way without drama. I don't want to let no one threaten me ever. So I want to remove myself. You should do the same. You took it too far, baby girl. God bless.
Kayla Brantley
Jane told the court that she took the last text as a threat because she thought he was referring to the fact he paid her rent. She said he was saying he was going to release his responsibility from the relationship, which he meant his responsibility to pay her rent. More of her texts were read to the jury. They have been voiced by actors.
Jane
Fuck you. You got me sick and now you threaten the house for the millionth time and you're mad at me about a grown ass man? We shook on two years of you giving me an allowance of 10,000amonth. I said I just want a new place. You said, deal. Stick to your word and that's it. I've been a great person to you and I don't deserve you threatening the roof over my head that you put me in over and over and over and over again.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
Jane told him she felt like she had PTSD from the sex nights and needed to see a therapist. She accused him of gaslighting her by making out she wanted to take part in the freak offs. When she did not, she said he begged her to call him and talk, but she just told him to leave her alone.
Jane
You placed and paid all of these harmful men on me and risked my health every single time for two and a half years. This was never love. I regret everything and all this dark toxic shit that entered my life.
Sean Diddy Combs
You hate me overnight. Yesterday you loved me and now you hate me. This is one of the craziest flips I've ever seen from a woman. I'm gonna leave you alone. For real. You sound crazy right now. Yes, please talk to God. I'm gonna pray for you and us. You're burning a bridge that you ain't going to be able to repair tomorrow. We need to talk now. This can have a better outcome.
Jane
For once today, I thought you were genuine and compassionate about this trauma I'm opening up to you about. But you used it to just to smoothly insert a thread over the roof over my head. I'm so beyond hurt. You didn't call me to apologize or understand me. You called me to threaten me and tell me you're taking it away. Nothing with you is ever genuine. I don't trust anything you're texting me or saying.
Sean Diddy Combs
I'm done. If you want to call me and talk like adults tonight. If not, I'm going to let it go and there ain't no coming back. And I don't want to do that. You have no idea. All these evil things.
Jane
Wow.
Sean Diddy Combs
10 hours ago you love me, now you hate me. Come on. Bottom line, I don't know you felt this way about me. I thought you loved Me. But it's clear that after one argument, you don't love me. I'm gonna check out for you for good. It's not a threat. It's me begging you for us to have a conversation and try to salvage anything at this point.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
After all that you said, Jane admitted that eventually she gave in and they did end up speaking on the phone and making up. But a couple of weeks later, she told the jury that she heard about Cassie's lawsuit against Diddy. We'll be right back with more after this.
Kayla Brantley
So just before the break, we got to the point in Jane's testimony where she was telling the jury about hearing about Cassie's November 2023 lawsuit for the first time. And she actually told the court that she fainted when she read it. She said that she was, quote, bewildered and in shock because she felt like she was reading her own story. At this point, she started crying. As she testified, words have been voiced by an actor.
Jane
I just. I just. I couldn't sleep. I was reading these pages, and it just felt like a nightmare. I just. I felt so bad that I'm. I just had a lot of sympathy for this. I just reacted like, I can't believe I'm reading my own story.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
Jane said that she began texting Diddy to vent about what she was reading and what he had made her do at the sobriety party. She said she couldn't talk to anyone else about it because it was her core, shameful, dark secret. She told him that she spent three days crying about it. She accused him of dismissing her pain and anxiety over the freak offs, even though he knew he had done the same exact thing to Cassie. More texts she sent him were read to the court.
Jane
I keep having nightmares about forced nights and all the times I couldn't say no. I feel like I'm reading my sexual trauma. The sick part is you knew this was coming and you gaslit me and made me feel crazy about the sex trauma I was developing. Knowing you've been here before and this is just the sick thing that you do, I feel manipulated. This was never love between us. It's also clear that this was sexual exploitation that you feigned as love for your sick fetishes.
Kayla Brantley
Jane said that Diddy asked her to call him, but unbeknownst to her, he taped their conversation. Recordings of several calls between them were then played to the jury. In the first recording, Diddy can be heard telling Jane he was, quote, sorry you feel this way. He said the freak offs were kinky. Shit. I thought we Both enjoyed. Jane said that Cassie's lawsuit was word for word, which she had also experienced, which she said is crazy to me and it just feels sick to my stomach. But Diddy can be heard insisting that they took part in the sex parties mutually together. He tells her, you know me, we.
Sean Diddy Combs
Did all that shit together.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
Jane then told the court that she could hear Diddy writing notes in the background while they were talking on the phone. She said that soon afterwards they split up, and until February 2024, she and Diddy were on a break. But in early December 2023, she said she sent Diddy a text begging him to stop the freak offs. Here is their exchange.
Jane
Please stop drugging and using women for your fetish nights. It creates demons inside of us and real trauma to women who are only doing it to please you. Let that pain on other women. Stop with you. Me. Leave women alone who don't want to do those nights with you. Hire prostitutes and stop emotionally harming women who love you.
Sean Diddy Combs
You trying to set me up? This is crazy. Fucking crazy. You're recording my phone calls.
Kayla Brantley
Jane said that she thought he was really paranoid and in a frenzy. At this time, prosecutor Comey asked her to explain what she meant.
Maureen Comey
Were you trying to set Shawn up for anything?
Jane
Absolutely not.
Maureen Comey
Were you trying to sue Shawn?
Jane
Absolutely not.
Maureen Comey
Did you have any plans to sue Shawn?
Jane
Absolutely not.
Maureen Comey
Have you ever filed a lawsuit against anyone?
Jane
Absolutely not.
Maureen Comey
Have you filed a lawsuit against Shawn?
Jane
No.
Maureen Comey
Have you ever had a lawyer send a demand letter for money to Sean?
Jane
No.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
Jane said that they continued to text throughout December, but she refused to take his calls or visit him. She told the court that he warped her reaction because every time she told him how she was feeling, he would give her a different version of the truth and move on the conversation. She said that Diddy FaceTimed her and agreed that she should charge him for her resentment. He said he needed her to get over it and that he did not want any loose ends. This is what Jane wrote to Diddy.
Jane
I feel sexually exploited, mentally damaged and emotionally drained by you. I want my wasted 3 years of time reimbursed and given back to me in the monetary amount of 100,000 per year and 15 months left of our two year agreement of rent, $450,000. To move on from the resentment of feeling exploited, manipulated, heartbroken, drugged, and all.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
The loss of potential income, Comey asked her to explain. Their words are voiced by actors.
Maureen Comey
What did you understand Sean was telling you to do when he said charge me?
Jane
I understood that he was wanting Me to come up with some sort of number to make peace with our situation.
Maureen Comey
Jane, at that time, did you know how much money, if any, Shawn had paid to Cassie?
Jane
At that time, there was headlines saying what it was, but no actual confirmation or anything.
Maureen Comey
So did you know?
Jane
No.
Maureen Comey
And again, had you threatened a lawsuit?
Jane
No.
Maureen Comey
Had you hired a lawyer?
Jane
No.
Maureen Comey
Had you sent a demand letter?
Jane
No.
Maureen Comey
So whose idea was it to talk money?
Jane
Sean.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
But Jane said that when she tried to bring up money, Diddy reacted angrily.
Sean Diddy Combs
Fuck you. Don't ever text me again.
Jane
You made me lose out on everything.
Sean Diddy Combs
You're a liar. Fuck you. I'm blocking you, opportunist. Fuck you. I'm calling the police. You trying to make up some shit?
Jane
I'm clear you're the only opportunist here. Three years of being used and you had three years of fun with my body. You broke me. Our situation has never ever been fair to me. You asked me what I needed to move on and now you're upset. You were a full time job and you can consumed my life. I got nothing out of this for three years but demons and heartbreak. You exploited my love and made me think this was love so I could give you these fetish nights.
Sean Diddy Combs
Leave me alone. I'm blocking this number and I'm calling the police.
Jane
You use me for your dick parties.
Sean Diddy Combs
God bless you.
Jane
And I was too stupid.
Sean Diddy Combs
Leave me alone, con artist.
Jane
I'm gonna kill myself. You all use me and break me.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
Comey asked Jane to explain those texts and she started tearing up. She said at the time she just wanted everything to quot go black. She said she told him she hated her life and wanted to die.
Maureen Comey
Jane, why did you write these texts?
Jane
Because I was just so overwhelmed with the evil. Just energy and it was just so evil. This time was very evil and dark.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
Jane said that at this stage, Diddy had also threatened to post her sex tapes online and show them to the father of her child.
Kayla Brantley
But Jane said that despite these messages, a couple of Months later, in February 2024, Diddy texted her to say he had a dream that they were on his private jet together. They started messaging back and forth again and eventually got back together. He invited her to his mansion in Miami for her birthday. He put candles up to the doorway and balloons and organized a five course dinner for her. She said it was really nice and like the proper birthday dinner she had always wanted. She said they took ecstasy and had sex. But then Diddy suggested they invite one of their regular escorts over and she had sex with the Escort in front of him. Again, she said she didn't know why she agreed, but said that by then she was so used to that being the outcome that she just accepted it.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
And here we got some background on Diddy's apology video. After the CNN video came out, Jane said she was at Diddy's house in May 2024 when CNN released the infamous video of him attacking Cassie at the Intercontinental Hot. She said it was an eerie day and that he later told her that was the only time he was physically violent towards Cassie. But not long afterwards, she claims he was violent to her as well.
Kayla Brantley
Yeah, she said she remembered that date specifically. She Sundays it was June 18th and she knew the exact date because it was a terrible day. She said they had planned to spend a nice evening together at her LA home and at first it started out well. They drank champagne and tequila on the patio. But when she started asking him about a family trip to Utah he had just taken, they started arguing.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
Jane told the jury that she was angry because she assumed Diddy had been in Utah with a much younger woman. She said she knew the woman was over 18, but because he was 25 years older than her, it quote, rubbed me the wrong way. And she accused him of being a pedophile. She said at one point during the argument, he bent over to tie his shoelaces and she pushed his head into the marble counter. She also started throwing candles and glasses around the room. Here's prosecutor Comey asking the questions. Their words have been voiced by actors.
Maureen Comey
Why were you angry?
Jane
It was a built up mix of everything that I was angry and hated him for it in the moment.
Maureen Comey
What were you saying to him as you were throwing these things?
Jane
I said, I hate you. I just kept saying that I hated him.
Maureen Comey
Did any of the glass hit Shawn as far as you could see?
Jane
I remember a lot of wax went on Shawn, but I don't remember striking him with the glass directly.
Maureen Comey
What did Shawn say in response as you were throwing things at him?
Jane
I can't recall, but I think he was probably cursing and calling me crazy.
Kayla Brantley
She said she went into the master bedroom and locked the door, but Diddy kicked it open. She said she went into the bathroom and locked the door, but he kicked that open. She said she went into her walk in closet and locked it and he kicked that open as well. Eventually she ended up in the hallway and tried to get out through the front door, but she said Diddy kicked her in the back of her thigh and she fell on the floor.
Jane
And then he picked me up in a chokehold and choked me. He put me in a chokehold on the ground, lifted me up, and I couldn't breathe, and I was on my tippy toes.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
She said she managed to get out of his grip, quickly, unstrapped her heels and ran out of the front door. Jane said she ran for six blocks, then hid behind a wall for two hours. She said she was barefoot and had no phone or money with her. But she said when she returned, Diddy was still there.
Jane
I remember I went to the guest bedroom and I locked that door, too.
Maureen Comey
What happened when you locked that door?
Jane
He kicked at him.
Maureen Comey

Jane said that Diddy dragged her back to the house by her hair and she snatched his phone and then called the girl he had been with on the Utah trip. She said the girl started shouting insults at her and Diddy pinned her down on the floor and made her listen to them on stage, speakerphone. It was at that point that she said Diddy hung up. She said she went into the shower and Diddy followed her and started slapping her hard on her face. Afterwards, she said he ordered her to ice her face and put makeup on the welts to her forehead to cover up her injuries and also to dress up in some sexy lingerie and heels. She said he told her she wasn't going to ruin his night and got a porn star they used regularly to come over. He also tried to get her to take drugs again, but she said she didn't want to. And this exchange between prosecutor Comey and Jane has been voiced by actors.
Maureen Comey
What did Sean say when you said, I don't want to?
Jane
He said, then, is this coercion? And I just looked at him.
Maureen Comey
What was Shawn's tone and facial expression when he said, is this coercion?
Jane
Just. He just looked at me. I just remember just him right in my face. Just. Just telling me, just really close to my face, like an inch away.
Maureen Comey
What was his tone of voice?
Jane
Forceful.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
Jane said she took the ecstasy pill and went into the bedroom and performed oral sex on the porn star while Diddy watched. She said she felt sick and disgusted with herself, but she admitted she didn't tell the escort anything about the earlier violence. She said Diddy's assistant and driver later brought her $12,000 to pay the escort and repair damage to the house. The jury was then shown selfie videos of Jane and Diddy hanging out a few days later in which bruising to her eye and the wells on her forehead could be seen. She insisted that she was not documenting her injuries, but had taken the videos because, quote, she thought he looked nice, and she usually took photos and videos of him.
Kayla Brantley
Yeah. Jane said that the relationship was on and off from then on, but she took part in another freak off in July and then a one at his house in Miami in August of 2024. She said she remained in contact with Diddy through texts, but she hasn't seen him since because, as we all know, he was arrested a few weeks later in September.
Hermania Rodriguez Poleo
Jane admitted she got a lawyer because of her involvement in the case late last year. And the Diddy still pays for the lawyer today, and he's also still paying her rent from behind bars. She said she had met with both prosecution and defense teams and that, in fact, the defense were the first to be told about that physical fight they had on. She repeated that she did not plan to file a lawsuit against him. And when asked how she felt about Diddy today, she said simply, I just pray for his continued healing, and I pray for peace for him. Kayla. Today she also admitted during cross examination that she still loves Diddy. And we're gonna bring you all the details from that cross examination on Friday.

In the gripping episode titled "Pandora's Box" of The Trial of Diddy, hosted by Kayla Brantley and Germania Rodriguez Poleo from the Daily Mail, listeners are taken deep into the heart of the highly publicized court case against Sean 'Diddy' Combs. Facing multiple federal charges in New York, including sex trafficking and allegedly running a criminal enterprise, the trial has captivated audiences worldwide. This episode, released on June 10, 2025, delves into the fifth week of the trial, focusing primarily on the harrowing testimony of a key witness pseudonymously named Jane.
Courtroom Developments
The episode opens with the hosts updating listeners on recent legal maneuvers within the trial. On Saturday prior to the episode's release, Diddy's defense team sought a mistrial, arguing that the prosecution had knowingly presented false testimony from Brianna Bungolen. The defense contended that Bungolen's account of Diddy's alleged actions conflicted with evidence placing him in New York at the time of the incident described. However, the judge denied this motion and also rejected the prosecution's request to reinstate forensic psychologist Don Hughes. Additionally, there is a development involving the potential removal of juror number six, though details remain sparse.
Jane’s Testimony: Unveiling the Darkness
A significant portion of the episode is dedicated to Jane's emotional and detailed testimony. She met him in 2020 during a girls' trip to Miami and initially described the relationship as "loving and passionate," sharing affectionate nicknames like Bert and Ernie.
