B
I was, I did. I thought you were gonna say exciting.
A
Where are the harmonics?
B
You usually throw in an exciting episode.
A
Yeah, sometimes I mix it up. But like you really got in my head.
B
Sorry. Yeah, sorry.
A
That wasn't.
B
I got a wild hair up my ass and felt the need to participate.
A
I hope you all having a great day today, wherever you are and however you are listening to us. We have a fantastic episode lined up for you today. First and foremost, we got a couple exciting premieres. Dancing with the Stars kicked off last night as well as well I think many of us. But my favorite Real Housewives franchise, the Salt Lake City gals.
C
I feel like it must be everyone's.
A
It is exceptional television. It just from beginning to end, from their intros to everything, it's just I'm always just locked in and I can't say the same about the rest. But Nina Parker returned to the show to talk with us. All things bravo, the premiere of Salt Lake City. The hilarious fun Nina Parker joins us. Also Ben Higgins, your favorite bachelor of all time.
B
You know Leah, what's funny?
C
Just Nick.
A
You know him and Joey, you know, gotta love them. Anyways, he joins us. He's new into fatherhood. He is re releasing his book. Also with the announcement of Taylor, Frankie Paul. I'm sure he has some things to say.
B
Whose season was he on?
A
He was on Caitlyn's with me.
B
Oh.
C
He famously told Jojo and Jojo and oh my God, who did he end up with?
A
My God. Married Lauren Lauren.
B
Yes.
C
He told them both that he loved them.
A
He was the first one to profess the double love, but he definitely did it with more tact than Clayton.
C
I think he just got away with it because of his face.
A
Probably.
C
Yeah, I would have forgiven him too.
A
Anyways, they are all with us. Exciting news, guys. We are one week away from Nally and I going up to the lake since the first time since Christmas. We haven't been up there in between that time and this time we rebuilt the entire house. Grander, bigger, better, bolder, in the spirit of my grandfather's house that he built. But it is very exciting. I know many of you have followed along some of the posts that we've made throughout the year. Certainly now he's done a much better job of me of sharing some of the aesthetics. But it's very exciting.
B
Very exciting.
C
You guys will have to do like some sort of video of the whole place to show everyone, or at least me.
A
Oh, yeah, well, definitely.
B
We're definitely gonna try.
A
Yeah, we'll show you guys. I mean, we'll, we'll. We're not sure when we'll show the masses the house because, you know, we're not. We're not sure if we'll do something exciting, cool and fun and very fancy or we'll just show it on our social. To be determined. But I essentially came up with like the layout of the house, the architecture, if you will. In my head, certainly I wasn't not the designer of the layout. Someone who with a bit of a architectural background did that. But it was based off my vision. And then Natalie really was the main. In terms of aesthetic design or picking out like countertops and the cabinets and all the, like the idiot intro think the small stuff, whatever. I don't know. What do you. How do you.
D
What were you trying?
E
Intricacies.
D
Intricacies.
A
Yeah.
E
Intricacies.
A
Intricacies. Thank you. Yeah, thank you. Intricacies. Intricacies.
C
That's the next thing you'll have to learn in your speech class.
A
Speech class.
E
Yeah. Intricacies.
A
Thousandth.
D
How's my guest bedroom going?
B
Well, currently right now they're, you know, I think it's pretty ready. They need a clean, you know, they gotta do a big deep clean. Get all that dust out of there. And then we. When we're there, you know, Nick's dad called me yesterday and was like, so. Just so, you know, like, it's not gonna be move in ready, you know, like, I won't have your bed made. And I was like, I'm expecting us to, like, unpack some boxes and build some furniture.
A
Well, but what do you mean our bed won't be made?
B
We don't even have sheets there.
E
So what you're saying is Justin. Justin doesn't have a bed yet.
A
It all. It feels really surreal. Like, honestly, it's one of those. I mean, they. They did it in nine months, which.
C
Is, you know, fast.
B
That's really fast for a rebuild is crazy. That's crazy.
E
Yeah.
B
And the whole time we were always like, there, this is going to be pushed. This is going to be pushed. It's been pushed. It's been pushed. Only like a couple weeks, though.
C
But it always gets pushed. Like, they never.
B
But I was expecting it to. I was like, if we're there by Christmas, like, I'm shocked. And we'll be there before Nick's birthday, so. Which, by the way, guys, his birthday gift. I got it the other day. Did you guys.
C
What is it?
B
Tell us, genius. First of all, everyone around me in the store was like, this is so amazing. Wow.
D
So it's from a store?
E
Nick, close your ears.
B
It would have to be from a store.
C
Yeah. Nick, take your headphones off for a second.
E
Yeah, Take your headphones off. Go in the other room. I want to know what it is.
B
But then I'm telling everyone listening too. And there. Someone's going to DM them.
A
Yeah, someone's going to be an asshole. No, I don't think we should trust the masses.
B
You'll find out somewhere who hate us.
A
Who listen to the show.
B
Yeah, someone will, like, show up to our front door just to tell Nick what his gift is.
A
Yeah.
E
Yeah.
B
But it's really good.
E
And, like, I'm excited to.
A
What kind of reaction are you expecting?
B
Tears?
A
Tear? I have to cry?
B
Yeah, you're not gonna have to cry.
A
You're gonna wanna.
B
You're gonna cry just because it's, like, so good.
E
Yeah. You're an actor.
C
Aren't you good at crying on demand? Isn't that like one of your.
B
Like, I can.
A
It's possible. I'm not. It. It takes energy.
B
Didn't you do that your entire bachelor career?
A
No, I did it my. As the Bachelor? Yes. Almost the entire time fake cried.
D
I gave him a cup of water and a straw for a promo we shot. But I won't spoil which one it is.
B
Oh, my God.
C
But he didn't need it.
B
He could do it on his own.
C
Yeah, that was just a backup plan, but we didn't end up using it.
B
Did he cry?
C
When was it for what you remember.
A
I don't. I don't.
E
What was it?
D
I don't remember which one it was either.
A
Okay, guys, if you haven't listened to yesterday's Going Deeper episode with Jesse James Decker and her husband Eric Decker, you are definitely going to want to check it out. What a beautiful couple. So much fun to get to know them.
B
It's fun to just, like, pick their brain. Obviously, they have four kids from 11 to 19 months, and it was just so interesting to pick their brains on parenthood and which is how they met.
A
Very cute story. It was very, like, double date with Nally and I, you know, just, you know, just. Just think the world needs to hear more about, you know, families coming together. Whoever your family is, whether it's your chosen family or immediate family, it just like, you know, I think we're at a time where we need to surround ourselves, get off our phones, get into, like, our communities, connect with the people that we have in our lives. It was just a great conversation with Jesse and Eric, and I felt, you know, I just. If you want to feel good about the world, I promise you, you'll feel a little uplifted from listening to that episode. Also, Liza Trager joined us for reality recap on Tuesday, as well as Cole Wallacer. You know him as the glambot guy at every major red carpet. He certainly had some fun stories to share about all the cool celebrities he's been able to shoot over the years. He was at the Emmys, so if you want to check that out, be sure to do so as well.
C
I was going to say, do you know what else is super uplifting to watch right now?
A
Literally or figuratively? Dancing with the Stars.
E
Literally.
C
Stars.
A
Literally.
C
Literally and figuratively, they get lifted up.
A
That premiered last night. What? It's a fun cast. You got. You got Whitney and Jen from the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. You got Dylan Efron. It's a real. It's a real vile Files lineup, you know, real friend of show.
E
Heavy group.
B
We fos. Heavy for sure. Very fos.
C
You guys know what I've always wanted but have never gotten in my entire life?
B
An orgasm.
D
My God, that wasn't nice.
C
To be lifted into the air while dancing.
B
Oh, my God. Same.
C
Why don't I get that in my life?
B
Honestly, guys, Nick picked me up the other day, and I was. Not that I was just, like, nervous that he would drop me, but I definitely was, like, so in my head and so self conscious about just like, am I heavy that I don't ever Want to be lifted again? Yeah, you know, like, I don't need that sense of anxiety.
E
No, that's fair, that's fair, that's fair. I feel like to be you when you are lifted, you want the person lifting you to be like, you were not heavy at all. It was like lifting a feather.
C
Have you been lifted?
E
You know, no, but that's my dream state.
A
What is your obsession with. I don't. Why do you want to be lifted?
E
It.
A
You know, like, for the whole purpose of feeling light and feathery.
E
Yeah.
B
Yes, probably.
A
You know what? Like, why, why does. Why has society made you feel like that's necessary, Ladies?
E
Well, we can get into that, but I don't think we should.
B
Yeah, I feel like that's going to be getting a little dark. For sure.
E
Yeah.
F
No, no, no, no, no.
C
How long do you have?
A
You need to have. You need to have some, like, a strong base, you know, like, it's really.
E
We want our women built like farmers.
C
So are you saying I just haven't, like, met a strong enough base?
E
You're saying Danny's not a strong base?
A
I don't know. I don't know.
C
Are you saying you're not a strong enough base for Natalie?
A
Yeah, I carried her ass half a mile once.
B
Well, with lots of breaks in between.
C
I need to hear this story.
B
Lots of breaks. It was leaving Stagecoach and my knee hurt and he had to carry me on his back. But there were so many breaks.
E
Yeah. Which Patrick Swayze never took breaks in Dirty Dancing.
A
You know, I think it's good to have a strong base, you know?
B
Which one of us is the strong base, you or me?
A
Both of us.
C
He's taken it more on the, like, emotional.
E
You guys together are one strong base.
B
We're so mentally strong bases together.
C
Fuck the emotional strong base. I want a physical strong base who can lift me in the air and not look like it hurts.
E
Yeah, they can be toxic as long as they can lift.
A
I don't know. Listen, I mean, teach their own.
E
Anyway, Dancing with the Stars, there was.
C
A lot of really good lifts on this first episode and I love to see it. It's my favorite part. Clearly. I thought Whitney did a really good job.
B
She did not have a lift and I have to say she did very well. She did good. Like dancing wise. I think she's a very talented dancer. I think what I'm looking for as a judger, obviously I'm voting and I'm looking for lifts. I'm looking to be entertained. I'm looking for the wow Moment I'm looking for the spins and the sp. The tosses along the floor and like the. That's what I need to see. And although Whitney was like very like, it looked like high score because she was a great dancer. Like, arms, elbows were elevated, you know, she did. She won the highest score of the night. I just, I'm excited to see her.
E
In a more like, more complex choreo.
B
Yes. And I do have to say I think the women are much more talented with the choreo.
E
Mm.
B
Like, I think Whitney, the women pros for the pros. Yeah.
A
You're talking about Mark Ballas.
B
Well, I'm not talking shit about him. I just think like Whitney Carson may be like my favorite choreographer dancer. Her and Robert Irwin, I mean, crushed. I think he will be a finalist.
E
Whitney.
B
Finalist obsessed.
E
Yeah.
A
How did we feel about Dylan?
C
I mean, he's also just very pretty to look at.
E
Yeah. So much of dancing is just charm.
B
I think we need a rip off the shirt for Dylan.
A
I think, I think he wants to do too well. And I say that having done Dancing with the Stars and really wanted to do too well, I think he needs to loosen up a little bit.
B
He was very tight in the hips.
E
Yeah.
C
But it was his first night for sure.
B
Totally.
A
And again, this is not coming from a place of judgment. I think I forgot how to have fun because it's so nerve wracking. And like Dylan, like myself, I mean, like he's been on TV but he's not. Like he hasn't been performing his whole life. So many of these people on this show have some kind of dancing background or performance background. This is really a new experience for him. And he's obviously like, Dylan's been exceptional at many things in his life. So he's obviously approaching this experience, no doubt, like busting his ass, working very hard and, and like so much about Dancing with the Stars, it's not like going to a wedding and shaking your ass because there's all these like steps and movements and like posture. But like the real trick is like, that's why I think Jen from Mormon Wives, she's always having fun. Like, you know, the whole time she's smiling and bubbly and people. That is so important when it comes to like audience voting. They want to vote for the people who are really having a good time. I think that's why Joey did so well. He was a, a good dancer. But Joey always looked like he was having a good time and Dylan looked like a little bit how I looked, which is like A little bit of like, don't fuck up, you know, deer in headlights. Headlights. So I'm hoping Dylan can bring some of, some of that, like, I'm at a wedding energy to his next performance.
E
You know who's giving wedding energy in Dancing with the stars? Ms. Hilaria Baldwin. I was kind of. I kind of ate her up. I'm not going to lie.
A
We had Alec in the, in the audience.
E
Alec in the audience. You have Hilaria.
A
Let's get loud dancing to JLo. Mm.
B
On theme. For sure.
A
On theme.
E
Yeah, for sure. On theme.
A
Yeah.
B
I thought, I mean, I thought she did good again, like, wasn't obsessed with Choreo. No, I don't even think there was a lift there. And she's like the smallest human being.
A
Well, I can't. Everyone can't have a lift. Why they should, you know, it's like a 90 second chance.
C
All I want to see are the lifts.
E
Give the people what they want.
A
I don't know if every dance.
B
Do y' all remember the foxtrot?
A
Is there a lift in the Foxtrot?
B
I don't know. But do y' all remember last season when Danielle was with Dwight Howard?
C
Yeah.
B
And she jumped off the stairs into his arms? Are you kidding? I haven't stopped thinking about it.
A
I think you all have a sick obsession with being light and feathery.
B
Yeah, sick.
E
Yeah, we do. It's probably like mental illness, but let us know.
A
I think it is. Yeah. I don't understand.
B
Yeah. No one claimed to be healthy in the head.
E
No.
B
No one claimed.
E
No.
A
Natalie just wants to jump into my arms and as if nothing happened.
E
No.
A
I can't flinch. There can be no.
E
Yeah.
C
I see nothing wrong with that.
E
I see nothing wrong. Thank you, Leia.
B
Thank you.
A
It's a mental illness.
B
Well, you know what else we are binging right now? It is the Charlie Sheen documentary. We talked about it a little bit on Tuesday, but guys, it is insane. First of all, let me just start by saying I personally have never seen not one Charlie Sheen movie. I know him as Denise Richards ex husband. Right. So like I went into it as like, I don't really know who this guy is, but like, sure, let's watch. And was jaw on the floor shocked the entire two part series.
A
He's just, he's famously Martin Sheen's son who they get in the, in the doc that like had just incredible success from the moment he tried acting. I mean, he was just, he skyrocketed to one of the biggest movie stars.
B
I will say the world. It seemed pretty easy to become an actor in that day and age, you know, like.
A
Well, you.
B
Charlie's dad, Charlie's brother Charlie. You know, it's like, let's try all.
A
His friends, from, like, Nicholas Cage to Sean Penn, they just all, like, grew up together and they were friends. I don't know if George Clooney grew up with them, but, like, I think they were kind of acting together. But young George Clooney makes an appearance. But yeah, it is. Nepotism is awesome. You know, last time I checked, it really works out, you know, for some. And that's not. Not to discount nepotism because, again, there. There are a lot of Nepo babies who are untalented.
E
Yeah.
A
And no, it's not even talented. Like, you do have to work hard.
E
No, that's what I mean. Of like, there are untalented Nepo babies, and a lot of the untalented Nepo babies don't make it because even some.
A
Of the talented Nepo babies don't make it.
E
Exactly.
A
Yeah.
E
So.
B
But it is.
A
He led in a fascinating life. It's. It's really surreal.
B
He's now eight years sober, which just like his reasoning for finally getting sober, it's like you would think. But he's so honest the whole time. Right? Like, he's like, this is stuff that I said I would never, like, I would only ever say to a therapist, like, behind a hipaa, like, law, like, would not ever say publicly. And he says all of it. He.
A
The.
B
The interviewer was the director. Interviewer was great. Asked him everything, Scandal, everything that's ever gone on about him, and he's brutally honest.
A
Yeah, there's definitely some darkness to it. And obviously our queen Denise Richards makes an appearance, and she's very vulnerable and honest about some of the darkness in their mar. And that is in no way to condone Charlie's activity. This is. I just. I have empathy for the situation. They talk about how, like, he was addicted to painkillers during that time.
B
I think it. I think it really, like, sheds a light on just the disease that is addiction. Because the reasoning for why he got sober, it seemed like there would have been. And there were so many other, like, bigger things that happened to him that you would. Thought would have, like, snapped him out of it. But it was like this one small interaction he had with one of. With his daughter that, like, in eight years sober, it's just like. It's just a crazy. It's crazy.
A
Yeah, it's a. It's a. It's you know, again, it's dark, it's funny, it's fascinating. It's, you know, it's. It's not even like a celebration of Charlie in no way. I mean, it's a very. It's a confession of some of his, at times, very dark life. But it is honest and there are elements of healing towards it and vulnerability that you just. You. It's hard not to appreciate because even, like Denise has talked about, she. She was at the premiere, you know, everything they've been through, his. And his other ex wife makes an appearance. His ex wife, who also is a recovering addict. And it's, you know, there's. There's some really darkness in it. But again, they've. They've seemed to have overcome as a family.
B
And we talked about it in. Yes. And Tuesday's episode of rr, but the fact that he drove or he flew a 300 passenger plane absolutely hammered, and that's how they opened the dock is just. That tells you everything you need to know. So, yeah, it's very interesting.
A
I mean, he admits this, but he's never really. He's never had to face. I mean, talk about privilege. He's never had to face many of the consequences that everyone else has faced for some of the things that he has done. And. And it's a fascinating doc. Anyway. I. Yeah, it's a w. It's wild.
E
Have you guys seen. There's this documentary on HBO about Pee Wee Herman. It's called Pee Wee as himself.
A
I haven't watched it. No.
E
It's really good because it's him, like, arguing because he died, like, right before the documentary was finished. But, like, it's the. It's basically like the last, kind of like the first time he's ever, like, really honest to the public about his life, and he hates it. And he's, like, arguing with the guy making the documentary the entire time.
A
Yeah, this is not Charlie arguing. I mean, it's. He's very accountable. And it, like you. They have. They show a little BTS of him just, like, encouraging everyone who participated to like, just whatever. You know, there's nothing off limits. Say whatever you have to say. It's like group therapy. It was.
B
I mean, the amount of drugs that they said this man was doing, they were like. It was like, inhumane. Like, the amount that he would consume at one time was like.
A
Yeah.
B
I mean, superhuman. They were like, he's not real.
E
Was he in, like, the group with, like, River Phoenix and Johnny Depp and stuff like that?
A
I don't know if he was in.
B
There, I think he was more with.
A
Like, Viper, Sean Penn. He grew up with Sean Penn. Nicholas Cage was like a best friend of his and they were, they were party boys together.
E
Yeah, well, that makes sense because Nicolas Cage is like Francis Ford Coppola's like, nephew or something.
C
Also, the Summer I Turned Pretty finale.
B
Was last night and it was really good.
C
In case anybody was watching that, we.
B
Did have our episode with Christopher Briney, your beloved Conrad. So go check that out. You can find it somewhere.

The Skylight Calendar is here to help keep your family organized. This beautiful design digital display syncs with your existing calendars, making it effortless to track events, appointments and reminders in one easy to see place.
A
This is something that my parents wish they had when we were growing up and it's certainly been a lifesaver for Natalie and I. We have such a busy schedule. Most of we're doing things together, but often we have separate responsibilities and as our lives get busier and busier, we're so grateful to have Skylight Calendar in our life.
B
Skylight Calendar was designed to connect the digital and Non digital worlds while bringing families together. It is a WI fi connected digital display that showcases your family schedule with clarity, color and brilliance and either a 10 or 15 inch HD touchscreen. You'll be able to manage events, chores and grocery lists while assigning colors for each of your family members and eliminating excuses of not knowing what they needed to do. It's really fun because I've put Nick in shade green so he knows everything is green is what he has to do. Returning to the show, Nina Parker is back. Nina, how you doing?
F
I'm so happy to be back, guys.
A
We're so happy to have you. It's always you, missed you.
F
I mean I see you online all the time, so I feel like I see you.
B
But you see enough of us. Yes.
F
Yeah, yeah.
B
Understandably so.
A
Well, breaking news. Nina, while you were joining us in the studio, Cardi B. Has announced that she is pregnant. She has.
F
I mean we do, but you know, I love that she, you know, you always gotta wait for the announcement.
B
Did we know?
F
Oh, I did. I mean, yeah, she's been pregnant enough. I know. I mean.
E
Yeah, you can tell.
F
Yeah, it was.
B
Yeah, I could tell like at that.
F
Certain way when she's pregnant. I mean, she just. Yeah, I mean it was very obvious to me that she was pregnant.
A
Well, that just honestly makes me a little proud of her for how she handled that ridiculous court case. But also just more infuriated that she had to put herself through that emotional, you know, stress. Let's, you know, she handled like such a queen. But like, I don't feel like she should have had to deal with such a frivolous lawsuit during this very, very, very sensitive time when it comes to.
F
Being life, be life and right. Like regardless of what people don't care what you got going on, you still got to go to court. She got an album to drop. Like she's, it's, you know, it's, that's why? They say, I guess there's never a great time to get pregnant. It's just gonna happen, so you gotta deal with it. So I won't be complaining about being tired. Cause she was doing a lot while she was pregnant.
A
Yeah. Also, there is there, like, another breaking announcement that there's a Summer House spinoff. What is. What's going on here?
F
Oh, I.
C
There is.
E
Yeah.
C
Yes, there is a Summer House spinoff with Lindsay Hubbard, Kyle Cook, Amanda Batula, and more. They announced it today. The working title is in the City.
A
Why did we need a spinoff for that?
B
Because none of them were drinking and partying. I mean, I guess Kyle Cook still was, but.
A
But couldn't we just turn Summer House into a little bit.
F
That's what I was gonna say.
E
Yeah.
F
So this is just the. The Paul House, literally.
E
Yeah. They already did winter.
C
They, like, posted an Instagram and said city life activated. So it's basically going city that never sleeps. A group of New Yorkers navigates the biggest transition of their lives. Marriage, parenthood, reinvention, and the reality of growing up without growing apart.
B
So it sounds like the Valley, New York style is probably better people. Not as corrupt, a little bit more mentally stable people.
E
Yeah, the Valley with, like, good souls.
B
Yeah, we'll see.
A
Right? We'll see.
F
We'll see. Because, you know, people act different when it's the summer. That's true with the fall behavior's given us.
E
Yeah. See, as seasons change, does that mean.
B
Kyle and Amanda won't be going to Summer House?
A
No, I guess they're just on two different shows.
C
Well. Cause Lindsay is also supposed to be on Summer House.
E
Well, it would make more sense for them to kind of, like, restructure and have, you know, the old reliables do their own show and allow them to grow and then keep Summer House what it is, which is like young professionals getting fucked up in a house in the summer.
A
You know what they're gonna do? It's. You remember how Summer House was launched when it was basically a Vanderpump Rules episode? And it was like this.
B
This.
A
It was like this big crossover. That's how some. Yeah. The first episode of Summer. Yeah, we know this because we are recapping Vanderpump Rules on Vile Files. Plus, for anyone who wants to subscribe, subscribe now. But yeah, the. Some half of the cast went to the. The Hamptons and they were partying with, like, New Yorkers. It was the Summer House cast. And then, like, halfway through, it was like, it went from an episode of Vanderpump to an episode of Summer House.
B
Which they love doing that a la Beverly Hills.
A
A la Beverly Hills, the introduction to Vanderpump. So I feel like you're gonna have this new spin off, and all of a sudden it's gonna transition into, like, the summer house where, like, Kyle and Lindsay will, like, graciously hand off and, you know, and Jesse and West and they'll bring in, you know, because, like, I want. I don't want it. No offense. I want to see singles partying in the summer house. I do not want to see people, like, slowing down their lives, but I.
B
Do want to see them in a different environment. Like, I don't want to see them in the summer house, like, going to bed at 9pm While everyone's, like, hammered and drunk. But I do want to see them removed in New York, like, whatever they're.
A
Doing there, because they're not going to be on two different shows, are they?
C
Well, it's saying that casting was kept out of the official release, but a source told people that the anchors are going to be Lindsay, Kyle, and Amanda. And then they Also. An insider is saying that Andrea Denver and wife Lexi Sunden are also taking part in the series.
E
I don't know.
F
Sounds mature. It sounds a little mature.
E
Yeah.
F
You know, sounds like they might be doing some home remodeling, you know.
E
Huh.
F
You know, sounds a little more elevated maybe.
E
Yeah, they can, like.
A
I would love a home remodel.
F
I would.
E
Listen, they have an assistant send out their partiful invitations instead of just sending them out themselves.
F
Yeah.
B
Well, did you watch Real Housewives of Salt Lake City premiere last year?
F
I did. I did. You know, it gave a lot of everything.
B
It did.
A
Even their intro is the best. In the first.
F
The Blair Witch.
E
The Blair Witch intro.
F
I was like, you know, which is very, like, niche. I was like, oh, the Blair Witch. I love this. Oh, this is letting us know what we about to expect.
E
Yeah. Found footage. Housewives crossover was not to quote Whitney Rose on my bingo card, but I was, like, really happy to see it.
F
And there was a little haunting in the episode.
E
There was. Heather got spooky with it.
A
Yeah.
F
There was a little storytelling. I was here for it.
E
Yeah.
B
We have the longest rapid recap. I think we've had to date marry. What happened here?
E
There's a lot going on in the.
F
Show that needed to be talked about.
B
Okay, well, if you missed the premiere of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, here is your not so rapid rapid recap. So this season opens up with a Blair Witch style horror sequence. Need we say more? Yes, because immediately after, Angie shows up to Mary Cosby's house in an RV and they plot to shove all the women into a recreational vehicle and and take them straight to a sketchy camping site. All but Lisa, who is too busy hanging out with Blake Lively and Ben Affleck, AKA negotiating her contract to join them. All the girlies meet in the beauty lab parking lot. Brittany showed up in a bikini top under a fur coat. And it seems like the FBI was called on Whitney. Jk jk. It was more like male strippers as a joke. What wasn't a joke? Whitney's saying Britney sucks Jared's dick for money. We're so back. Because Lisa isn't there. The girls take this as an opportunity to on her all day long. But Brittany is apparently besties with Lisa and supports her. She also brings camcorders for everyone in the woods because that always ends well. Lisa Barlow's business issues are of course brought up. While everyone's camping, the girls go for the jugular. Angie compares Lisa to Jen Shaw. And everyone, including Angie, was like, whoa, okay. Too far. Sorry about that. Never mind. Also, Bronwyn admitted she totally lied about that necklace. And Heather is still living in terror of Lisa. Britney then announces her and Jared got engaged and then unengaged, but they're still sleeping together. Mary Cosby is convinced she could spiritually resurrect a fish. Honestly, if anyone could do it, she could. Also, Heather is once again producing, but this time a horror film. It's so scary. Mary Cosby has to raw dog a bagel. Then the drama picks up. Whitney bodies her fight with Britney by revealing that her business failed. Britney tried and failed to hug her after. Meredith also finally speaks after literally adding lighter fluid to a fire to remind Britney, I find you to be absolutely uninteresting. I have zero respect for you. Cold Meredith. Then all the girls go into the woods at night and it gets super Blair Witch and then they lose Meredith. What thoughts?
D
The Jen Shaw SWAT team of it all.
A
That was wild.
F
I mean, obviously it was.
D
There's no way, right?
F
But like, it was kind of like. I mean, is there ever a time to play about the police? I know, like, okay, girl in the.
E
Blue in the beauty lab parking lot. The original scene of the crime as well.
A
Bravo has a very hairy history with. With faking any type of police involvement.
F
Right? Yeah, I mean, you know, it was definitely a nice little repeat, but I was like, oh.
B
Also, we watched it twice. In watching Whitney act the second Time knowing that she is the one who. They're like, whitney, it's for you. She's like, oh, no, what's happening? You're watching me.
D
The second that Heather Gray stepped down, she was like, what's going on here?
A
Are we allowed to body shame strippers?
F
Oh, did you, did you think they were too thin?
B
Listen, I think if you're gonna take.
A
Your shirt off for a profession and ask us to throw you money, well.
F
Let'S consider the city. Yeah, that's because, you know, also.
A
What? Do you don't think what people in Salt Lake can work out and get the abs going?
F
No, I mean, it depends. You know, that might be what the. They, they like there. You know what I mean?
B
But also, how much money did they make to get on that tiny RV and like, like shimmy?
D
It was so awkward.
F
It seemed like most of the show was outside the rv. Like, what kind of strippers you just doing it in the parking lot.
B
There was not enough room for all. There should have been one, you know, There was not enough room for four.
E
I know. I love that. Salt Lake City is like the premier prestige Housewives show and it still is like the most low budget of all.
F
I was gonna say a couple of them camera angles look like they was definitely shot from Andrew.
D
Oh my God.
F
Yeah. I was like, what's happening on the rv?
E
I was like, you guys didn't have time to like get like at least.
F
Like 1080 on the RV because what was given on that RV when the dick sucking allegations, I was like, now I'm locked in.
A
It would have landed a lot better if Whitney would have had the, the stripper show up to the campsite as if like the police tracked him down.
B
Yeah.
A
You know.
F
Well, and it would have been scarier because of the ghost.
E
True.
A
And there would have been more room for them to shake their ass.
E
Right. Which is scary.
F
It is just the thing for you. Yes.
B
So true.
F
Thank you.
B
No, the that she is able to like, I love Britney and she did it all last. She gave it to us all last season. But what about me? You know, and it's so good every time.
F
So I am a. I, you know, I, I, I dip. I, I don't know if you guys know this, but I dip in and out of reality because I get so consumed. So sometimes I take seasons off. So I, I came back in bright eyed and bushy tailed and I was like, okay. They, this is why everybody loves Salt Lake so much. They do bring it though, you know, it's not, it's you don't have to wait and squeeze a storyline out. But Britney, I was like fascinated with.
B
I was.
F
She's in her own little It's Whitney's world time.
D
And the fact she can't say like a bad word.
F
Like, I'm like, girl, just say it.
B
She's like, you said that I s d.
F
I f ed his d. No.
A
But then when she walked over to give Whitney the hug and Whitney wasn't having it and she's like, well then I still want to apologize for the dick sucking comment.
F
And you know, this is the thing. She's not really wrong. Like she's not wrong. Like they were kind of having a back and forth on the RV and she was kind of owed an apology. She just, her timing is really.
B
No, Nina, no. Because this is what Britney did all last season. She forgets that she starts things. Like she forgets that she throws the first punch and then when someone retaliates she's like, why would you do that? Why would you say that? That's not nice. And it was like her itm being like, Whitney can say whatever she wants but the second that I. And I was like, you started it by coming for her business.
F
Did she though? Well, because I guess she was defending her friends.
A
I don't think Whitney, I don't think Britney has a mean bone in her body. I think, I really don't. I don't think she's ever malicious. I think she will attempt to defend herself or her friends and say what you want about Britney. And I'm not like the biggest Lisa Stan out there, but I definitely respect someone who is willing to stand up for their friend in a group of people talking shit when that friend is not there. Because a lot of people claim to be your friend and when people talk about you, you know, your quote unquote friends are like maybe at best kind of like not saying anything or even giggling along with the. That's being talked about you.
F
Yeah, I didn't think she started the fight. I felt like if you're, if I'm, if this is a friend of mine, which you know how good friends they are, who knows? But like if my friend is sitting there and sitting and someone's talking about my business and I'm, I'm her in that place, right? I'm defending her.
C
Her.
F
So if you're talking about my business and I say, well, what about yours? I don't feel like I started. I feel like you did by talking about my friend who's not here so, like, if you can talk about her business, why is it not relevant that I can bring up yours? So then now we're going back and forth. But, like, you're the one who was throwing shade first. It doesn't matter if it was directed at me or not. You started throwing the first shade, so she. She did. I feel like she started it.
A
Yeah. I mean, listen, if you run your mouth and talk your shit about people, like, you're gonna. Like, I'm not saying it's okay. And maybe the other person isn't being the bigger person, but, like, it's hard for you to act like the victim.
F
Right. Right.
B
I also do love seeing. And we saw it at the table when they're eating their sandwiches and salads. The, like, way that they're able to fight and hate each other, it looks like. And then they just, like, make up, like, the way that Angie was like, okay, well, we have this game, and Heather's like, give it to me. And, you know, it's like, y' all were just screaming at each other. But, like, I love that we are not, like you said, Nina, pulling and stretching these storylines to LA episodes and episodes.
F
Like, OC I wouldn't be able to do it. Like, there's no way you coming from our business. And then we gonna go make a snowman.
E
Yeah.
F
Like, you know, they're gonna go fly fishing right after. I don't. I. And I know it. Like, they're seasoned, so they know how to do it. I am not able to. I'm not mature enough.
E
Yeah.
F
For that. So it. It is work.
A
How does Angie.
E
Don't you dare.
A
I'm just.
D
That's my girl.
A
Shame on Angie for. For. For bringing her friends out into the middle of nowhere and forgetting all the food.
D
That was a bit. That had to be a bit.
A
That was.
F
So this episod were, like, in a junkyard or. Or something. Like, I was like, what in Utah is this?
A
Yeah. I supp. I'm sure craft services was there in the background.
F
Yeah.
A
Like, all they had were hot dogs.
B
Like, they definitely didn't spend the whole night there.
D
They definitely didn't.
F
Yeah.
E
No. And I guarantee you, like, in the next episode after this, like, whole thing with, like, where's Meredith? They're gonna. Meredith's gonna be like. She literally just walked back to base camp.
F
She was done.
D
They were definitely hyping it up. I think they were all part of the bit.
A
Yeah.
F
Yes.
A
I don't think it was a bit for Lisa to not show up for the first Episode.
E
No.
A
And you can tell when production's mad at their cast when they shade them a little bit. When they had that, you know, they shot to Mary Lisa's couch or whatever, and, like, on a business trip.
D
Where is she?
E
Question mark, Question mark, Question mark.
F
Ben Affleck or. No, wait, who does she say? Blake and Bedley.
B
Like, what are they doing together?
E
Yeah. Well, because, okay, so allegedly, she was working, like, premiere. She was doing, like, premieres and stuff. And it was the accountant who. In another simple favor.
F
So she was just doing the red carpet.
E
I don't know what she was doing.
F
She said it like, they went to bread. I know you was at premieres. That's not work.
E
You hold. You held a microphone.
F
Give me a break.
E
You held one of those tiny microphones, and that's why you couldn't be on.
F
Your show at, like, at least, like, a gala. I was like, oh, she must be at, like, a charity event with them. Well, then, if that's the case, I just hung out with Denzel and Spike Lee. Yeah, if that's the case, we just claiming carpets.
E
Exactly.
F
I'm.
E
I'm best for friends. That would be like saying everyone who came on this show is, like, one of my very close, personal friends.
C
Oh, yeah.
A
Oh, yeah.
C
They're a friend of mine.
E
Yeah.
B
No, it's literally Britney saying that her and Meredith are best friends. And Meredith is like, how many times have we talked on the phone?
F
Once.
B
And she's like, no, that was so.
A
Oh, that was vicious.
F
I would be mortified if I was Meredith.
D
I would have given her a little bit of a bone. I've been like, you know what? If you need that.
E
No, but the best thing about Meredith is that she was like, no, I don't like you. I have zero respect for you.
F
We're talking on the phone twice, babes. I've about talked. Talked. You know, I've talked to at&t. More.
D
Right.
F
You know, like, we talking on the phone to people.
A
Yeah, it was a little harsh, though.
F
It was harsh, but, like, also, if you're blatantly lying on how close we are to, like, make it. To present it, like, we're. You know, I'm hurting your feelings. I'm like, girl, wait a minute. We not that close.
E
For Meredith to say, I find you to be absolutely uninteresting. I have zero respect.
F
I was like, calling someone uninteresting. I would rather you call me an evil than you call uninteresting to me is. Is, like, the worst insult you could ever. That's you might as well talk about my mama.
E
Yeah.
F
Like, I'm uninterested.
A
Disagree with Meredith. I. I'm. I am locked in to any time Britney is singing in public and videotaping it and putting on her social. Like, I don't know if you can call that uninteresting.
B
Britney was gonna wear a bikini and a fur coat on an airplane. She didn't know if it was commercial or private.
F
Yeah, that's very interesting.
A
That's very interesting.
B
Interesting.
A
And again, not. No shade to. To. To Meredith, who very excited to see her DJ set coming up. But, like.
E
Yeah, yeah, Watch your mouth. Watch your mouth.
A
I'm just saying.
B
It is true. She did. That was the only words she spoke that entire episode.
F
That is true.
E
But the thing is, the way she did it, too. It was like she had been silent the entire day, and then she just starts. She puts lighter fluid in the fire.
D
She spoke at the.
A
The.
D
The lunch or whatever it was.
E
Oh. And she was like, I don't know what Lisa did.
F
Yeah, right, right.
E
She defended her girl very quickly, very quietly, and then was like.
F
That was pretty uninteresting, to be honest.
E
That was pretty uninteresting.
C
And then let Heather do the rest.
E
Yeah. She was like, I'm not getting into all this. And then she put. She literally fueled the fire and then went for the jugular with Britt.
B
How much did all of the smoke at that fire bother all of y'?
F
All?
B
Because I couldn't pay attention to anything else. They're all like, did it distract you? Yeah, they were all, like, moving out of coughing.
F
Can we talk about Mary, though? I love her so much. The fish situation, she couldn't believe that.
D
That had to be.
F
I actually think that sounds on brand.
E
It does. She's a woman of God, and God.
D
Doesn'T know fish biology.
E
Well, God has done many miracles.
D
Right?
E
No, sorry. That's Jesus. But she also is a woman of Jesus.
F
What does she keep calling that man?
A
In her defense, I honestly. It sounded like he was saying Gustavo. Gusty.
D
Was that an edit, though?
B
It looked like they played it twice.
A
Yeah, it was, like, might have been.
F
But she definitely thought his name was Gusty.
A
Well, yeah, because she goes, Gusty. Like, she confirmed that his name was, in fact, in her mind. Gusty.
E
Gusty.
F
Like, girl, who you know's name is Gusty. Like, would you please.
E
I mean, if someone takes you fly fishing and they're dressed like that and.
F
His name was Gusty, he was so amazed by her question. I just. I mean, I honestly Think that's another side quest they need to pursue her doing these activities. I would watch in a heartbeat.
E
It's like a Stanley Tucci travel show, but it's just Miriam.
F
Like Anthony Bourdain type show with Mary. Please. I'm locked in.
E
Bravo.
F
Send her everywhere. Bravo.
A
Question, Justin. Was. Was Lisa live tweeting last night?
D
I mean, she's always live tweeting.
A
Well, I know, but I'm curious on an episode that, one, she was a no show, and two, they were talking about, you know, certainly no Jen Shaw. That comparison was. Was wild considering what did.
B
And like, I think even Angie said it as, like, a joke trying to be funny. And I think, you know, and then even she was like, well, guys, no, that was too far. That was a joke.
A
I mean, it's not great if Lisa's racking up a bunch of, like, debt and. And. And borrowing money from people that she's not paying back. Like, not. Not cool if that's what's going on. But I am curious if Lisa was anything to say, if she had anything to say, because usually she will fight back on Twitter when people. When her peers in episodes are talking about her.
F
And it was. I mean, it was her episode even though she wasn't there. Yeah, that was her. That she was. She was in that thing.
E
She did post on her Instagram story last night. I make the best tequila, so you don't have to be thirsty.
F
Okay.
E
She's thirsty.
D
Oh, is that because Angie was drinking tequila on the bottle?
E
I will say Angie saying she's just like Jen. Like Jen Shaw is a very like me thing to say in an argument where you're just like, saying. And then you're like, oh, no.
B
Like, I would someone who shops list from cvs like, you're being a Jen Shaw. You know, like, it's just interchangeable.
E
Yeah.
D
I mean, Angie K. Was friends with Jen Shaw. That was her entrance to the show. So I think to her it's like.
E
A. Yeah, she's like, oh, like Jen Shaw.
F
Yeah.
E
And then everyone's like, no, not like.
F
They took it very literally.
E
And she was like, yes. Sorry.
F
Yeah, not the room. But I agree. Like, you know, you're getting all these lawsuits. It's not coming from anywhere. It may not be. It's. Is it illegal?
E
I don't know.
F
You're kind of touching the toe. You know, little legal. It's not yet.
E
Yeah. Sometimes to be a business owner is to do things that are illegal.
F
Yeah. And there. Who knows? It could be.
A
It's not Illegal to have a financial dispute and not pay someone back. And the person you don't pay back certainly has the right to, like, sue you and try to. You know, as long as there's no fraud involved.
E
Yeah.
F
Then it could just be a dispute, like, where she says, no, I don't owe you. So, yeah, you know, it's just. That's why it's there.
A
But, yeah, if you're knowingly defrauding people to give you money, then I think that's a different situation. Did you guys pick up on Heather, that look she gave after she said, like, Jen deserved to be in prison? As if, like, one of the producers dared her to say it or, like, said, you know, it was like, I don't think you're going to say it. And she kind of was like.
F
Of my home. I would never say this to somebody's face.
A
Yeah, it was very like, Jen is.
B
In prison where she belongs, longs for how long? How was it?
E
She might be getting out.
A
They're.
D
They're teasing that. I think Jen Shaw is going to come on in the future.
F
Oh, for sure.
D
And I selfishly want that to happen, but I know that that's like a whole chaos of itself.
F
Yeah. I mean, I. I think they'd be there on her release day.
B
Wait, did y' all see Heather's chest?
E
What?
B
I could not stop. It was literally. I. It looked airbrushed. It was, like, the smoothest chest. I've never seen a chest treatment. 0 sun damage. Not one freckle. Like, not one wrinkle. It didn't even look like skin. It looked insane.
E
She does own beauty lab and laser. Yeah.
B
Do you think. Do they have an offer for, like, skin renewal?
D
Probably.
E
I would hope so.
F
And that's a big thing in skincare right now is, like, the decolletage and, like, everybody.
A
All the other places people are moving.
F
To the neck and the chest.
E
Yeah. Yeah.
F
We figured out the face because it'll tell on you.
E
Yeah.
B
Looked so good.
F
Exactly.
E
I was too focused on Angie K's incredible confessional look. The giant bow.
B
Yeah.
E
That's all that had my focus in the confessional.
A
Have you guys ever lived the RV life?
D
I did.
F
I didn't live it. I've been, you know, I've. I've gone on vacations as a kid. It was fun.
D
It's fun. You meet a lot of people.
E
Yeah.
D
And see a lot of places. Places.
F
I had a friend whose family was really into rv, so I would go on vacations with them and we would go to this Place in Northern California called Tamales Bay. And we would go clamming.
C
Clamming?
F
Yeah. But then at the. In the end of the night, we. The. The kids had to sleep in tents outside. They put us out, and the parents stayed in the RV with the heat.
D
Oh, that's a scam.
F
Yeah. That's evil. Okay. But it was fun.
B
Wait, Nina, you were just in New York, right, right?
F
I was, yes.
B
Did you see Iris and TJ from Love island together?
F
I. I did not see them, but the girl who did my hair for an event did Alandria's hair the day before.
G
Cool.
F
She did Alandria's hair for the. Remember the canes I saw that had.
B
A brand fashion show, which.
D
With a lot of big people in it.
F
Yeah. And so she did her hair for that. So she was just. But the tea she gave me was that she was. Was like. I don't think she loved it. So.
E
I don't know if she was.
F
Talking about the hair or the show, but she was just like, yeah, I don't know if I'm gonna post. And I was like, no, post your pictures, girl. But she was very excited. But I did not see them in any love. Islanders in person.
A
How was Fashion Week this year?
F
How was it?
A
Yeah.
F
I mean, I've been going back and forth to New York for many years. This was probably, like, the most magical trip to New York I've ever taken. Oh, wow. And it was just so special. And the energy was great. I did my first. First New York Fashion Week show for my collection.
B
Congrats.
F
Which was all plus women. So it was really dope. We did it in Harlem. And. Yeah. It was just. Man, it was incredible. I'm very, like, overwhelmed still. I haven't. I've very. I haven't even posted much.
E
Yeah.
F
Because it's just been like, you know, some things are just so amazing. Like, you just need to hold it for a second.
A
Yeah.
F
Before the world gets to feel. Feel it. And I've just been, like, really just living in it for a second. But, yeah, it was really great.
B
Right, and were you stressed at all?
F
Oh, my God, girl.
B
Really?
F
I barely made it here. Like, I was. It was. It was incredibly stressful, you know, it was. I was like, man, if there were cameras following me right now, like, the shoe. There was, like, the shoe delay. We had a shoe shipment that didn't come till the morning of. That was three days late that UPS lost and sent to Philadelphia. And I was like, I'm gonna lose my mind.
E
Yeah.
F
And then Finally, I just had to surrender and just be like, whatever's gonna happen, these girls got to walk barefoot. That's just what's gonna happen, happen. And that'll just be chic. But it's all, you know, it's so funny because everything comes together last minute and then nobody, you know, cares about how stressed they were the minute before.
E
Yeah.
F
But it was really cool.
B
So exciting.
E
That's awesome.
F
Yeah, it was like, for, you know, it's like cliche, but it was very life changing for me, like, which I. It's. In this point in my career, a lot of stuff starts to feel the same, which is great. It feels good. But when there's like a new challenge or something that scares you, like, this actually scared me. And I was like, damn. It's been a long time since, like, because I've been hosting for a long time. I've been doing. I'm not really, like, scared of stuff anymore. So I like that this, like, challenged me in a different way.
A
Love that.
B
Do you feel like you're going to do it every year?
F
I was thinking about that because I was like, man, I think I could, like, do this on my own with the right, like, sponsors. So I'm thinking about doing one solely, like, that would feature only size inclusive brands because there's. There was maybe only one other. Maybe two other size inclusive shows. Shows through all of Fashion Week, and most of them are not invited to other shows. So while, you know, you may be having a show, like, nobody else really acknowledges you. Like, you won't get invited to anything else. So I was like, this could be a great opportunity to, like, invite people and have like a community type of thing and honor like the. Plus girls who slay in fashion.
E
Yeah.
D
And elevate it.
F
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So that's, that's, that's what I'm thinking about doing for next year.
E
That's awesome.
F
Yeah. Invite, Invite people. You know, once you get on, you got to put other people on.
E
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
F
I don't want to be here by myself.
E
Exactly.
D
I love that.
A
Who is the most fashionable housewife in Salt Lake City?
F
I'm Mary.
E
Yeah.
F
I mean, Ronwin is. Is Ronwood kind of kills it. I'm not gonna lie, bro. Was the little red glasses in the fit last night? I was like, okay. But Mary is like church fashion. Like, you know, I mean, fishing in a Chanel scarf, you know, who else is? Why you trying to resuscitate the. The salmon in the water? Like, that's pretty impressive.
A
You know, why Brawin is. Reminds me why I love her so much because. Because she's such a good apologizer in a. In a universe where no one ever apologizes. And she makes it seem like, you know, listen, whatever. Like, I kind of fibbed about a necklace. Who gives a shit? I shouldn't have done it. And she has this. She has, like, the perfect balance because, like, honestly, like, who really gives a shit whether she lied about the necklace? You know what I'm saying? But she. She acknowledges how serious other. The people who, like, take it serious. She will validate them. And, like, that's what's so smart about Brawan, is that, like, yeah, it cost her nothing to apologize because it's about something that really doesn't matter. You know what I'm saying? It's not a Jen Shaw situation. She didn't, like, hurt. There are no victims in this crime that she's apologizing for. And so many housewives will, like, die on the vine of, like, denial of a stupid. Right? And it will just go on forever. And then they'll get their hands. Haters will come up, and Brahman's like, yeah, you know, Yeah, I did that.
F
That's kind of what. Why I was like, is, you know, I know she's not. A lot of people don't like her, but I was kind of like, I respect somebody who can just own because what can you say? It's kind of like when, you know, in 8 mile, when Eminem was like, I'm gonna just talk about myself, so you can't say anything. It's like when somebody owns a lie or, like, just owns it, like, what can you really say? And then you can't really bring it up later because she didn't already apologize. Yeah, she kind of disarms you a little bit.
E
And that's kind of what Whitney did, too, with, like, her being like, yeah, my business failed, and it sucks. And now a bunch of people are out of a job because I failed.
D
And now, like, that's a season of storylines they don't have to deal with.
F
And then it flipped to people being like, oh, my gosh. We're. You know, instead of people criticizing her, now, you have to show empathy, even if you were critical before, because now she's telling you the depth of it all. It's very. You know, I'm like, most. More, y' all should start apologizing.
A
It's like the exact opposite of Lisa.
E
Exactly. It's gonna be really interesting to see, like, because it seems like they've started to figure out that that's the way to go.
F
Y.
E
Instead of, like, you know, trying to, like, keep this facade up, they're like, no, let's completely break it down and be honest and see what you do about it. But I know these women are crazy enough that they will do something about it.
F
Don't have the ego to be like, you know, I think because she's also newer to the cast, she, you know, she's afforded a little bit more of, like, wiggle room for that. So I think, like, it was. It was the best move. She. I agree. She is the best thing she could have done.
E
Yeah.
B
Good episode.
F
I gotta. I gotta start applying that to my. My personal life. Yeah.
A
You'Re not good at apologizing, Nina.
F
You know, okay, maybe I won't drag this. You know, maybe I won't drag this out. Maybe accountability is the way to go.
E
Maybe. To be honest, last night, I didn't.
F
Think I was going to learn. I love it. Thanks, bro.
A
I have a question for you, Nina, before we let you go. Nick Cannon recently claimed that becoming a father of 12 kids was a trauma response from his divorce from Mariah Carey. I feel like you would have something interesting to say about Nick Cannon's accusation. Apparently, his kids are a trauma response first and foremost. I'm not sure how his kids feel about that.
F
I am not a fan. I just think, like, every time he talks, I feel like narcissistic clouds float over me and I. And I. And I get in a daze. I just, you know, every time he speaks, I feel like someone gets hurt. It's like dangerous what he says.
A
How is he able to work so much? Like, I don't. I don't understand his success.
F
I think people still see him as like, little Nick Cannon, like, you know, like, this child actor, because he really did have these, like, especially in the black community. Like, he was a child actor that a lot of us loved, you know, and watched grow up and rooted for. So this behavior like this flip is just, like, so strange to me. But, like, you know, these kids are going to see these videos also. Like, these child's mothers, probably. I've met a couple of them. They're actually lovely women. Like, you know, everybody got caught up. But, like, he. I just felt like he was. He admitted he was doing this intentional. So all these broken homes and, like, now you got these 12 graduations to go to Chile and, you know, good luck.
A
But.
F
But it's just. I just think his words can be really, really messy and dangerous and, like, the Fallout is going to be continuous. He just is just.
B
He doesn't think it's like, of course you're going to blame Mariah Carey, you know, like, can't take a gun.
F
Mariah's probably like, how did I get in it? You know, like, I, I remember like when they got together and I remember like I was working and like we were reporting on it and I was like, this is such a strange. I think she was, you know, I, I don't know their relationship, but I feel like she was going through a phase days and like, you know, I, I just. You never hear her talk about it. And that's. To me what lets me know she was. Is something was off with that because she doesn't even acknowledge it.
E
Yeah. And Mariah knows exactly what to. And not to acknowledge and who.
A
And I think he's been milking it ever since. What he calls a trauma response. I would call his career playbook.
F
And, and he often has, like, said, you know, I. And it's true, true. He had his own success before Mariah. He was a millionaire when he met her. It's not like he was. I think sometimes people think because she was worth more. He was like a broke boy. But he wasn't. He was, you know, a. A healthy actor with businesses. He had his own career in money before he met her. But for some reason, it's like he needs this validation when. With this comparison. And that's why it's so important to be with somebody who is not jealous of you when you're in a relationship. Because he's still like in this weird competition with her. Her that he's only in. Nobody else is participating.
B
Before, after. During.
F
I think it was. I want to say it was during.
B
During.
F
During. But he was like a movie star. Yeah. You know, before Mariah, you know, movie.
A
He was.
F
Oh, yeah, yeah. So he had the, you know, the, the. All the, all the movies. Yeah, he did love They'll Cost a Thing with Christina Milian. And, you know, he was like a childhood.
E
It is just crazy. Always like a rap sound. Yeah, yeah.
B
You're just gonna call your children just like a response to something and not anything other than a blessing, you know, I don't know.
F
I couldn't even imagine, like, being like, carrying someone's child. And they say something like that after. I'm not quite sure. Like, you know, you're just saying. You just saying anything when you get on the mic. And that is why, you know, I believe there needs to be some IQ tests before we give out any more. More mic. You got to pass this test for you. Get a mic, babes, because this is just. Don't be.
A
I feel. I feel like Britney should be grandfathered into that rule, though. Yeah.
B
Britney gets one before just in case.
A
Not sure. Not sure how she would test out, but I just.
E
Either an IQ or, like, charisma test.
F
Yes.
E
Yeah, but the charisma has to. It has to be like. It can't be evil charisma because, like, Britney's charisma is an evil charisma.
F
It's not. It's not.
E
So it's okay.
A
Yeah. Britney just wants to be loved. That's it.
E
Yeah.
F
She definitely is seeking, like, friendship from this group, and I'm just like, she's not gonna get it. You. You gotta be okay with just out. If I were her, I would turn into the biggest villain on that show.
E
Yeah.
F
Because them women, they. This is the thing. It's not that they. It's. It's one thing to not like me. They don't respect her.
E
Yeah.
F
And I would rather you dislike me and respect me in a group setting. Setting. It's like, girl worry. You got family and friends. Like, don't try to make these girls your friend. I will be coming at them from all cylinders. I'm like, you. You can. You cannot like me. But you're gonna be embarrassed every time you come. Try to come for me.
E
Yeah.
F
If this is the route we're taking.
A
You know what I just thought of that would be amazing if you, Nina Parker, became friends with Britney and she brought you in as a friend up to the show and you would, like, have. You would be like, if you're gonna talk about British Brittany, you're talking about me, and you would just, like, go ham on these ladies. I feel like that would be.
F
You know, I. I'm really good friends with Chrishell, who's on selling Sunset, and she's always like, man, you need to be. You know, she's invited me to come on the show and I. I'm like, I'm not coming on because I'm not built for this. I will cuss people out. Like, she's like, that's why you need to come on. And I'm like, you know, it's. I'm. My temperament is not built for reality tv. I will be. It will be grand opening, grand closing for me, babe.
B
And then fired.
A
I don't know. I. I support it. Nina, it's always fun to have you on. Can you plug anything you want to share with my audience or plug before we send you on your way.
F
Yes. My show Friday Night Vibes is on every Friday on TBS with me and my co host Kev on stage. The Nina Parker Collection is at Macy's and yeah, you can find find me on all socials at the Nina Parker.
A
Love it. Come back soon. You know we, we absolutely love anytime.
F
You guys are family. Yeah.
A

B
Ben.
A
What's up, Benny boy?
G
Hey, everybody.
A
Hi. Can you hear us? Yeah. Sorry.
G
I was on a different zoom with my buddies from home.
A
Well, how you been, buddy? How's fatherhood?
G
I wish she was here. Leah got to meet her.
C
I did. She's so cute.
G
It's so great. Everything is amazing. Like, every day is awesome.
B
Oh, this is she now, seven months. Wow, that's crazy.
A
What is your favorite dad job that you have when it comes to, like, shared responsibilities with Jess?
G
Goodness gracious. I feel like I do very little, quite honestly. I'm around a lot. I'm like a good bench player, I'd say. My favorite thing is I get to feed Winnie when Jess gets ready for bed at night. And then Winnie falls asleep afterwards. And so her and I just kick it and watch football. Football or whatever's on. And it's like an hour of just her and I, and she's so happy to be with me and I love that.
A
Are you a diaper changer?
G
Yeah. Yeah, I am. When I, when I'm needed, I just. Jess is only back to work two days a week, so I, I'm home all the time working from here. And so, like, when Jess needs me, I will. But it's very rare that I, I get. I, like, I, I, I find neat, you know, that I'm like the one on spot to do it. And Jess loves being like. She loves it. She's like you, Natalie. She's like, like they just like as soon as she was born into this world, Jess's like, whole world was like, I love this baby. I want to do everything for as long as I can.
B
What is she doing right now? Like, has she, like, what, like, milestone has she hit?
G
She's not crawling, but she's scooting.
B
Cute.
G
Kind of like. I'd say she's a very average scooter. She's feeding herself like purees.
B
Wow.
G
Half gets in her mouth, half gets on the floor.
A
Love.
G
She's saying mama, which is a big win.
B
Momma was first.
C
That's huge.
G
Yeah. We thought Dada was going to be.
A
Now, does she know that she is saying mama, or is she just going, mama, Mama.
G
She reaches for.
B
Okay, that's really cute.
G
Yeah. I mean, I think so, right? I mean, I think, like, as a parent, you just.
A
Well, river was saying mama and Dada, like, mama, mama, you know? But she. Before she, like, knew what she was saying, which is why we say her first word is dog. Because over Thanksgiving, she, like, looked at the dogs and said, dog.
G
I was just joking with Jess about that.
A
Yeah.
B
So fun.
G
Yeah. I was like, how funny is it going to be if she looks in, like, wicked. Waylon is her first word. And, like, crushing to, like, Waylon. I think so. Because she reaches for Jess.
B
Yeah, she probably does, then.
A
Yeah.
G
But I mean, they're just so connected. Jess is still breastfeeding, but we're starting to wean off of that now.
B
Oh, Jess.
G
Because when. When he has teeth and it's been a wild ride. Like, there's just random screams from Jess at, like, moments being like.
B
No, like, just River's, like, getting, like, so close to saying sentences, full sentences, and it's the most wild thing. She had a little stuffed toy she had picked out the other day, and she. I said, oh, what's this? And she said, I bought this. I bought this. And I was like, oh, my God, that.
G
I cannot wait until, like, all these kids start saying the weirdest things. Like, my favorite show growing up was Kids say the Darndest Thing things.
B
Oh, yeah. Yeah.
G
And I cannot wait till they're, like, regurgitating whatever weird stuff I say in the day.
A
Do you guys swear?
G
Yeah, Jess doesn't. I mean, Jess is like a perfect angel of a human that doesn't drink. Swear. Works out.
A
But do you. Do you. You swear on the. Also, you like balls?
G
I mean, not like. I don't think I like. I think in moments. Yeah. I don't.
A
Like, when you're watching the game, are you, like, sucker?
B
Oh, my God.
G
Yeah.
A
I don't know. What's your go to?
G
Probably just like, all right, I'm out of cosgro.
E
Yeah, he's not. He's not. Cereal mom.
G
Yeah.
A
I mean, yeah.
G
I say I've taught myself, because of being, like, around people to say son of a biscuit a lot. Because my grandpa used to say it. That works. That still has the same. Like, it still gets whatever I need out Nick.
B
You know, Nick's has just got the sailor mouth of a sailor. And we are just, you know, so worried that rivers just. How do you know? Because it's like, I guess that has to start with us, you know, like, we have to stop cussing. So I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
A
Yeah, we will cross it.
G
Yeah, it's. I mean, it's gonna happen.
B
I just saw Becca Kufrin and Thomas. They posted their son saying. I think he either said or. But one of them. And they were like, what? What did you say? Like, they were like, oh, no. I think that's really. When you look in the mirror, it'll.
A
Definitely be my fault. That's for sure.
G
Yeah. Yeah, it's going to be my fault. Anything bad in Wynonna's life is going to be my fault. Not for any other reason other than, like, Jess just doesn't. She's just like. She really is just, like, very pure of everything. It's wild, it's confusing.
B
I mean, I thought y' all both were until you said fog and.
G
Yeah, we ruined it.
A
Any thoughts and feelings in our new Bachelorette? Taylor, Frankie, Paul, Ben?
G
You know, I have so many. I actually listened to a lot of what you guys because you're so connected and you're so in. In that world. I'm not like, I've never seen Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Jess educated me on. On it. It's gotta been two, three years ago, whenever the show got announced, she showed me, like, the tick tocks of them. And I. I remember feeling back in the day like this is gonna be entertaining, but that's all it is. And. And I think I have that just, like, in my spirit where I kind of diminish what the public thinks is cool or not and obviously took off. It's a. I mean, people love the show. Show. I think it. I just don't know where the Bachelorette goes from here. I think her season will be good. People will watch it. It saves the franchise for another season. I just. I don't know how they continue to keep the show going after she's the lead and.
A
Well, but though I think the hope is, is that, you know, like, people remember our era not to sound like the old guys as they did a good job of casting the right lead, you know, and there was a string of very popular seasons and they leaned into their star power and they, you know, and I think that was very important. They got away from that. Right. I don't know who was making the decisions or why they made the decisions on casting certain leads. And no disrespect to some of those leads, but they clearly lacked some of the star power in the poll that people like you and Caitlin and myself and Jojo like, you know, whether they were incredibly liked and popular like you or more controversial like me, there was certainly, like, sometimes they've been. They've been casting leads lately where people are like, wait, who. Who were. Like, when did they. They were on the season, you know, like when you. When they casted Clayton, like, no disrespect, but like, he was not a main character on that season, you know, and.
B
So, like, Like Nick. I think Nick's made a good point when we were talking about it of, like, when you. When you have a star lead, then you have. Have more of, like, star cast, you know, like, then everyone kind of shines. So then when they cast the next Bachelor, they're pulling from, like, who was a very watched and loved season that there's gonna be, you know, because I feel like it's when they pull these, like, yeah, like, when they had Hannah.
A
Brown, you got Tyler Cameron, you know, you got. You got Pete, Pilot Pete, you know, when you had Pilot Pete be the Bachelor, very popular Bachelor. Bachelor, you had Victoria Fuller, you know, you had Hannah and, you know. Yeah, you had Maddie Pruitt, like, you know, and they were all stars, you know, So I think the hope is it will jump start, you know, the franchise. But, like, yeah, I mean, they've. They f. You know, they had a. They had a chance with Joey and fuck that up. Yeah. So I think they need to do a better job of. Of. I don't know how they did it before, but they need to cast with their next lead in mind, being open to the possibility of they have to have, like, three or four potential leads because, you know, like, you know, like, a lot of the people they cast have no. Never have a chance to ever being a lead.
G
Yeah, I mean, I think you're right. I. I just don't trust the show enough anymore to think that they're going to make the right choice, even if it was handed to them in front of them.
A
That's a fair. That's a fair critique.
G
Like, if you look at the last. I mean, six. Six years, they've had some really good opportunities for leads, and they've chosen people who lack the ability to have a conversation, like, with another human. Not even that they're controversial or they're liked. They just can't even, like, talk to a girl in a way that's, like, normal and human. And it, like, brings out their story and their. It brings out their personalities. It's. It's like these leads have been walking robots saying the right thing at the right moment and never having any emotion in it than what the producer is telling them. And so that's great. I just. I think. I'm hesitant to believe that the show actually knows what the audience wants. I thought there was some master plan for the last five years that I wasn't seeing, that the show is choosing these people to lead up to this amazing Bachelor that would kick off the show again or this amazing bachelor would kick off the show again. And like you said, they had it with Joey. Joey was that guy, like, he was loved. He was liked. He was. He's goodlooking. He could talk to girls. He's like, has friends outside of the show, so he's like a normal human. And.
A
And they.
G
They just, like, ruined it again.
A
Yeah, no, I mean, you're. You're absolutely right. I mean, they've. It is a. They've been very reactive, the people in charge of this show, and I don't think they've really had much of a plot plan. But Taylor will be great that. That much. Maybe it'll be the. The last big hurrah. Like, they.
G
I mean, you know her.
A
Yeah, right?
G
I mean, you guys know her, so, like, who do you see her being like? Is there anybody similar that's been a lead in the past that you guys think she could be similar to?
A
I. I guess maybe Hannah Brown. Only in the sense that, like, Hannah was this perfect combination of, you know, she knew how to be dem. Demure and. And attractive and likable, and then she knew had to be fiery and spunky, and it never felt inauthentic. And I would. I would argue every Bachelorette since Hannah Brown has tried to inauthentically be Hannah Brown, and. And I think they've failed at doing so. I think Taylor will have her own way of doing that. But I think Taylor is very spunk, funky and fiery, and she's. I mean, some of her scenes and. And secret lives of standing up and confronting some of her peers are iconic, but she's also incredibly humble. Like, she has this natural star power, and she really knows how to be humble. And it doesn't f. It doesn't come across as, like, false humility.
B
Like, she doesn't care about the shiny things. Like, she just wants to, like, be at home with her kids, like, eating Taco Bell and wearing Crocs, which I think is just, like, so far from what Bachelor has ever casted that it's like.
A
And she's not afraid of being messy. You know, she's not trying to be perfect. I mean, that. That's. That's why. I mean, she's going to be Exceptional, because I think we already know that she is not. I'd be shocked. And there's always the possibility. I know Taylor's been a fan of. Fan of the Bachelor franchise for a long time. And even though I think she's bigger than the show, like the Bachelor franchise has a legacy that might. That, you know, could be intimidating, I don't suspect it's going to influence how Taylor moves. So to that end, we already know that she's not going to, like, become the Bachelorette and become so brand conscious and, like, and change who she is, because now she's under this pressure of being the Bachelorette. I would be very surprised if she. If she succumbed to that press pressure because she's already a really big star. She's already faced criticism and scrutiny and. Yeah, I, I, I think. I think all of that really is behind her for the most part. Yeah. And I feel like we're going to see a very authentic Taylor, Frankie, Paul.
G
It will be exciting to watch somebody who will not be nervous to be the lead of the show, you know, like to, to step into this. But I do think it could be a little bit different. Different in the sense that she isn't. She hasn't been a cast member, so she can be a fan of the show, but there is a world where, you know, you are going to be dating 30 people at once, and I'm sure they're going to have controversy and, like, how does she navigate that and handle it? Because one of the most helpful things to me was to remember myself in that position. I think that's. It's not. That's not going to help her. And here's the other side that I think is really important that won't help her. Her is the fact that this is a whole new production team. They don't know how the show goes. Like, they don't necessarily know how this operates when things get chaotic. This whole team is new. There's. They've never worked a season before other than the golden, which is a completely different.
A
Well, not even. Not. No, not. They've only worked Paradise. That's not. It's not the same team that's doing golden or dig Golden. So they haven't even done that. So to your point, they haven't done a traditional Bachelor Bachelorette format. The showrunner now is the one who recently did paradise paradise, and I thought it was, like, mildly entertaining. It was kind of.
B
You and Jess keep up with it.
A
Was fine at all.
B
Did y' all watch?
G
Yeah, I watch. Jess doesn't really watch. She watches the Secret Lives, but she doesn't watch, like, the Bachelor franchise too often. She likes the golden to, like, check in on. Yeah, but we watched Paradise.
F
I thought it.
G
I thought it was fine. I, I mean, I, I, you know, there was elements that I really enjoy. Enjoyed, but there was also. I think it took them four episodes to even get in a groove and figure it out. The first four episodes felt like almost throwaways to me. Then all of a sudden, the season changed completely.
A
And to your point, they could, you know, it wouldn't be the first time that the people making that show. You know, Taylor's not in control of her edit. Right. They sometimes overthink things. They sometimes water down their leads, you know, for the sake of, you know, whatever it is they're worried about. You know, Bachelor in Paradise used to be really funny and. And kind of. It didn't take itself so seriously. I, I hope they. I just hope they let Taylor Frankie Paul be Taylor Frankie Paul. And if. If we see a different version of her, I'm gonna blame the producers and the editors and not Taylor. Yeah. Because you do have to worry about the Warner brothers, you know, crossover over. Yeah. Anyway, Ben, you have. You have your book. You're re releasing it, you're adding to it. Explain to my audience what's new about your book Alone in Plain Sight. I know you've. You've had it out for a while, but now that you are a new dad, you've added to this, and you're. You're. You're re releasing it, is that. Is that accurate?
G
Yeah. You know, you came out with your book, and it was a success. I came out with my book, and it was a failure, and I don't like to. To sit in failures for too long. I think part of it was a failure because I think a lot of people from the Bachelor franchise come out with books, and I don't think it's always the best idea. And I didn't write this book to be another bachelor book, just like you didn't write your book to be another bachelor book. And unfortunately, if I were to make an excuse for a loan In Plain Sight, I wrote it for two years, and it came out on the February and the middle of COVID So a book about connecting humans together and sharing human stories, sharing my story, along with, like, six others who have been really influential in my life, came out in a time where nobody was connected. Nobody could meet up and talk about it. Nobody could go to the bookstores and buy it. I was Doing book readings through Zoom and it's been one of the projects that I put the most effort in. And because of when it was launched, how it was launched and the lack of response to to it, I've just sat for, you know, three years really and been really sad about it. And it sits on my desk and I'm still proud of it. And so the, a publisher came to me or the publisher that published it the first time and said, hey, this I think was just a really bad timing scenario. I don't think it got the breath it deserved. Would you be interested in re releasing it with some big updates in your life like a marriage and a child child and the continuation of a career in a coffee business that still exists and talk about these things that have happened since then and then let's try to re release it and that's really where this came from. I believe in this book mostly because it's a letter to myself and a letter to others and I want to give it a second chance. And so that's why we're re releasing it and I'm really excited to do it.
A
That's awesome. And when it comes out October 7th.
G
Yeah, yep, we'll come out October 7th. I'm hosting an event called Mom Con, which is where moms get together in Orlando, Florida and that's where we're gonna do like a pre release from. We're gonna sell first copies at that. Because honestly I can't think of a better demo for me to read.
A
Yeah, well, listen Ben, I, I think, you know, speaking of timing and things like that, I think the world now more than ever needs to be reminded of the importance of human and I think the feeling of feeling alone is pretty prevalent in our society today. And so anyone who reads Ben's book will certainly, I think, be able to relate to a lot of your experiences. And obviously you've always been a good role model and a good example of how to move through life and just a reminder of the happiness having your community and your people can bring to you, whether it's a husband or a wife and having children or your found family, as people like to say. I just think nowadays people need to be reminded to get off their phones, get into their communities, connect with people, connect with friends. So I think this is a great time for your book to get back out in the wild and excited for you to re release it.
G

Conversational, witty, frequently self-deprecating, with genuine moments of empathy—especially on addiction, parenthood, and friendship. The crew switches seamlessly between playful banter (“sick obsession with lifts”) and sharp cultural critique (nepotism, Housewives apologies). Notable for their candidness and self-awareness about the reality TV ecosystem.
Episode 1002 of The Viall Files is a swift, smart, and sparkling reality round-up: equal parts riotously funny and refreshingly honest. Don’t miss the deep-dive on RHOSLC’s wild premiere (and Meredith’s now-iconic takedown), the nuanced takes on celebrity memoirs and docs, or Ben Higgins’ thoughts on showbiz, self-acceptance, and being a very hands-on dad.
