Ronnie
When there's so much. That happens.
Ben
Well, hello and welcome to Watch what Crappens. I'm Ronnie. That's Ben Uni over there. Hi Ben.
Ronnie
Hi Ronnie. How's it going?
Guest or caller
Good.
Ben
How are you doing today? What's going on in your world, in your real life?
Ronnie
Well, I'm just, I'm just mourning the, the, the fate of yet another Salt Lake City couple going down in flames. Whitney and does it matter? Whitney and Justin are rumored to be living separately. Whoa. I'm only laughing because of course Whitney comes out like. Whitney leaks this news to page six. You know, after Angie, Angie's stuff hits the news like two days prior. It's like, wait a second, I have a storyline like that too. So it looks like it's Salt Lake City is going to be a doozy of a season, I'll tell you that much. Real uplifting.
Ben
A lot of breakups. It's going to Be a lot of depressing happening this time, but you know, those housewives marriages, it's very difficult to make them last.
Ronnie
It's very, very different. I think that marriage is hard in general, and then when it's on tv, it's even harder. So, you know, good luck. Good luck to all those who go down the housewives path with a partner and are hoping to stay intact. Because it's not easy. I mean, I think the only ones who have lasted at this point are Lisa and Ken and maybe Heather and Terry. I think everyone else has fallen by the wayside. Right?
Ben
Really? I don't know. I'm not counting them in my head, but jikes. I saw a video of Bronwyn in the hospital with Todd. Todd was getting something done. God knows what. I think his farter was getting, like, zipped up. And then Bronwyn was twerking for him in the hospital. So, I mean, I thought that was cute.
Ronnie
Not that young lady.
Ben
We do not do that in hospital. It's a public space, ma'. Am. She was like a twerking walrus or whatever. You know, her blow up outfit.
Ronnie
Yeah, well, that's nice of her. But anyway, the point is that marriages don't last on Bravo, and there could be no better example of that than here on in the City with Amanda and Kyle, who I think we all thought we're going to be a forever couple. I mean, there was no reason to.
Ben
Oh, yeah.
Ronnie
Otherwise.
Ben
Well, we've certainly been hoping. Just kidding. This podcast has been rooting for their demise since episode two of season one because, God, what an annoying couple. Jesus. Shut up, the both of you. I'll tell you one thing that does last in families. Coyote families, man. The coyote in my house. I thought it was one coyote stalking me and Bueller. It's been every day that this is out there. I got camera. Well, a camera out there in the little backyard area. That's fenced in and everything. And it is a family. I got the whole family on camera today and can I tell you, I'm such a sucker. This thing wants to murder my dog. It's already tried to kill it and now it's stalking me. And I'm freaking out because I can't find anybody to help me. I'm putting every deterrent. Wolf pee. I'm doing the whole thing, guys. Everything you're suggesting to me, I'm doing it, okay? But they're still fucking there. And I see these puppies on the camera and of course I'm like, oh, they are so Cute. And one of them's even like. Like, making little baby coyote noises as it runs around the yard. I think there's three babies and one mom. I'm guessing it's a mom. Not to be sexist, but I don't know. They're running around there, and now suddenly I think they're cute. Unfortunately, they're going to eat Bueller, so.
Ronnie
Okay.
Ben
Yeah. Don't really know what to do. But just to update everybody, right when you think it's not a coyote, it's a family of coyotes living somewhere on this hill. This here hill.
Ronnie
I was going to say I thought it was strange that there was just one single coyote, but I didn't want to. I don't want to be a fear monger, because I know you were already very upset about the coyote situation, but, yeah, that does make sense. Do you have. Are you going to share with the world the. The family photos? Because I think I need to use coyote puppies.
Ben
Oh, I tried sending you the video, and it didn't work. You know what? I'll. I'll send it to my computer and get it ready, but I don't want to make everybody, like, sit here and wait for me to do it. So I'll show it later in the recap.
Ronnie
Okay, you'll show it later. And by the way, if you want to see this. These coyote pictures while we're podcasting, then that's a great segue to remind people that we do actually offer a video component. You get it for the first seven days that it's up on Patreon, and then it goes over to YouTube. So, yeah, definitely. Check out crappies on demand on Patreon.com. watch what happens. And they also give our YouTube a subscribe. Okay, because we're gonna be putting some more stuff up there. It'll be fun. But today, it is all about in the City, their first reunion. It's a clubhouse reunion, which always has that kind of weird energy. It's kind of like. It's like, brisk and quiet, and, you know, it was. It was sort of fun. The whole gang was there. They were, you know, piled into that studio. They barely could all fit in there. I mean, poor Yvonne. She was so far off to the side. You could almost, like the set was, like, ending behind her. It was like you could almost start to see, like, exit signs and, like, ladders. Etc. Oh, the coyote photo is ready. Okay. It's a video.
Ben
Oh, I didn't mean to put it up this quickly. I was just preparing it. Okay. Yeah. Here's the video. Okay, I will scroll through it slowly so you. Well, it's 25 seconds, so it's no big deal. And you can't hear the video. You see it walking there?
Ronnie
Yeah. Walk by.
Ben
Okay, you saw. That's a coyote. Now look, here they all come.
Ronnie
I mean, honestly, they are cute, but
Ben
look, there's another one.
Ronnie
Oh, so it's right up on your stuff. It's like. It's. It's like walking on your. What is that?
Ben
Yeah, it's the walkway. It's the little ledge that goes down from the walkway. So I think. Are there two adults and three children? What did we just see here? You guys? I could never be a cop. And that's like staring at a video.
Ronnie
That's the area where you normally walk. Bueller. Like, that's. That's Bueller's little area in there.
Ben
So three. There's like two adults and three babies or three children. They're not really babies, but look at that. Three of these are all the babies. And then here comes the mom again.
Ronnie
The babies. Yeah, they are all up in there.
Ben
This is scary. Yeah, that's where Bueller goes out. I mean, I'm with him now. I'm standing out there with a knife, a plastic thing full of spoons to shake it that.
Ronnie
To shake it at what people say, Plastic and spoons.
Ben
Yeah. Do you have to make a lot of noise? So it's like, you know, and then I scream and I've got these little coyote detectors, things that are supposed to give sonic waves or what. I'm sure they're not going to work, but I'm putting those all over. I've got cameras, I'm armed. But these. Let me tell you who's not scared. The Face family. That's what I call them, Face family out here chilling. They are very cute. You know, I don't want them to die. I just want them to move.
Ronnie
Would you say that they're wily?
Ben
They're little fuck faces. Okay, that's enough of that. Nobody came to hear that shit. I'll just. They wanted to update everybody because, you know, I'm. I'm very worried about it.
Ronnie
I. I think we're. I don't know what we're going to have to do. I mean, it's. It's a shame. It's a shame that they're so cute and they're such a nuisance. It's terrible when that happens.
Ben
Let's just get Amanda and Kyle out there fighting. No one wants to be around that so this was a notable episode because it's the first episode recorded after Amanda and West went to Italy, which has been, yes, huge on the Internet. It's like everybody is following. Was following them all around Italy. And I mean, still, it's like Amanda's at a Walgreens. Amanda's little Walgreens. And everyone's like, amanda. They're on the. On the, you know, social media. Like, oh, her in a Walgreens. What does she think she's doing? Getting some cold medicine. I hope she dies in the sleep.
Ronnie
This was also a notable episode because a wayward glamour squad member seemed to have attacked some of the male cast members with lip gloss because, wow, these guys had lip gloss up the wazoo. I mean, everything was shining off of. It wasn't just, like, on their lips. It was like they had, like, lip gloss mustaches. I was like, could someone pull back on the lip gloss here? This is just too much. Kenny. I mean, Kenny just had like, the entire time, he had just, like this shine coming off of, like, like over his lip. I was like, guys, we can pull back a little bit on this lip gloss. It's too much. Yeah.
Ben
And then I. Did Kenny have a little rouge or something? He had, like, little rosy cheeks.
Ronnie
I'm not sure.
Ben
But Lindsay had this, like, put on, like, clip on ponytail thing. That was a rat's nest. Amanda was saying she did her own hair. And I think we all collectively said, we know. And I don't know what is a clubhouse thing where they're like, our budget is $2 and everyone needs to equally look unkempt.
Ronnie
I know Georgina looked really great, but they put her on a stool in the back, so she was just, like, up there above everyone else.
Ben
I liked it because it was like her stool of judgment because Georgina came in, like, ready. She was like, this is my first reunion, and I'm about to tell people to off. And she's kind of sitting above everybody with her legs crossed, just looking down at everybody arguing. I like that. I like that for her. She deserved it.
Ronnie
She deserved it. But, yeah, it opened up with Andy welcoming everyone, and he's like, I'm Andy Cohen, and I almost wore a whitish pink suit tonight. But after what happened to Danielle, I went right back to my dressing room and I changed very quickly. All right. Hi, everyone. Ivana, Nick. Congrats on expecting Nick. You buckle up because you're going to have a whole lot of nothing to say for the next two hours. Okay? Gavin, what's going on with you?
Ben
Gavin? Nick has the most amazing way of expressing himself with no expression at all. Like he's botoxed, I guess, to the hilt where his face doesn't move. But it's always got kind of a, what the fuck are you talking about? I'm judging you. But also, where am I face? It's like all the same thing. And that's the only expression he can give. I really like him and I like his little comments that he makes.
Ronnie
Well, because he's judging every chair in the room. He's like, I can't believe I'm sitting on this twelve dollar mail order chair when I could be sitting on a symphony of wood and construction known as a chair.
Ben
Well, yeah, because this set is very mid century modern. And he deals in mid century modern. But this isn't expense, you know, this is like mid century modern look that you buy on, I don't know, I don't know where. I don't want to offend anybody, but, you know, it's like a. Like your Wayfair, your Amazon, something like that. And Nick's like, how dare you? I have the original chairs that Don. What's his face from Mad Men sat in and judged people.
Ronnie
Don Lemon. Donald Don Draper. Don Draper. Lemon. He had a. He got into a time machine. One of them got into a time machine and then had a gay wedding with the other one. And they became Don and Don Lemon Draper.
Ben
And then Don Knott sat on it
Ronnie
later, whose birthday was yesterday, God bless him. Can I say my hot day? Because I never thought Don Knotts was as funny as everyone else thought. There, I said it. Wow.
Sponsor Announcer
Whoa.
Ben
Don Knott's slander on this show. Don Knotts was a brilliant, brilliant person. And I'm not going to hear it from you.
Ronnie
I like Don Knotts. He was very funny, you know. You know, Mr. Furley, great. But I just don't think he's like, as great as everyone else thinks.
Ben
Well, one of my first teams. I love Don Knotts so much. One of my first improv teams was around the time Angelina Jolie had her son Maddox. And so we said, let's name it Maddox. And I was like, but some also something like stupid. Well, you know, we were like, who's stupid? But we could also mix with Maddox. So guess what? It was called Maddox Furley. So every see I. Every time I see Maddox or Don Knots, I just think, wow, God, I miss you.
Ronnie
You're like improv team. I'm sorry to have shat on some of the legacy of that memory that wasn't Right. Of me. I'm basically just like a coyote stinking up your yard at this moment. But yeah, Gavin is there. He got a. He got a nice front row seat because some people got front row, some people got back row. And Andy's like, have you noticed a spike in business at your bar since the show started? And he's like, I have. People are showing up. Are. Are people, like, going out of their way to go to Gavin's bar now? I mean, I'm not judging it, but I feel like Gavin's bar did not get the same, like, mythology as like, going to sir or pump or like, pizza mama. You know, I feel like Gavin spar. We don't even. I don't even remember the name of it. You know, if anything, I would go,
Ben
yeah, I don't remember the name either. I think one of the most popular ones they went to was by a five guys. And the only sign I could really see was five guys. And I was like, why are they to five guys? But I think that was one of his bars, right?
Ronnie
Wait a second. Is he claiming five guys? Imagine if he's like, yeah, people are coming to my bar all the time. It's like, they're going to five guys downstairs your speakeasy.
Ben
But yeah, I don't think so. I don't. I don't know the names of it either. But I'm not a big pay attention of restaurant names on Bravo. Mozambique is as far as I go. Really?
Ronnie
Unless that's a hilarious name. Or stupid. If it's stupid like Audrey's. Like, unfortunately, I'll know that one. But I think his name, it was something like something Tavern. Maybe it was like, bro Tavern. You have to go up a staircase. It's above a five guys. And inside are gonna be like several straight douchebags. So why wouldn't you go?
Ben
And where they're slivering hot girls, they have like, camera feeds so that Kenny can sit at home and see who's hot and then go to the bar. Creepy Creepville. So of course Bravo fans are like, I'm going there.
Ronnie
Yes.
Ben
Let's make a trip to the creepiest liver bar. Just staring into the camera like, hi, Kenny. Am I cute enough? Am I cute enough for you to come drink at the bar? It's time for a commercial. It's time for a crappin's commercial.
Ronnie
Your space should feel like you. And if it doesn't, that's probably not a taste problem. It's a budget problem. And Wayfair really can fix that. What did your space look like before Wayfair? Ronnie, what were you most excited to change or refresh about your current space? Because I'll tell you one thing, this office that I record out of, it was just a generic office. Four walls and a little green carpet. And then I went to Wayfair and I got two comfy chairs, and I put them right behind this desk with some microphones, and boom, I now have a recording studio, and I'm so excited to use it.
Ben
Oh, yeah. I mean, I got my rug in my office from Wayfair. I got my curtains from Wayfair. I got a couple of chairs. I got all my outdoor furniture from Wayfair. I love that place because it's also great to order things and have it put together. You know, you can have. You have the option with Wayfair that they just come, they deliver it, they put it together in the room that you want, and boom, you're done. You're not messing around with the little, you know, tools and all of that stuff so much. I am, baby.

Ronnie
So then Andy is like, hey, Georgina, has Kyle hit you up for any butt bojox lately? She's like, that would be a HIPAA violation to answer. So I can't say, is it? I tried.
Ben
I didn't know HIPAA covered like, Botox. Well, I don't know. But if it probably does, I want to know if that's true or not because I want to be able to, like, treat my Botox lady like a priest. You know, go in there, just talk about all my.
Ronnie
Yeah, I think you should.
Ben
Which I kind of do anyway.
Ronnie
Or you could just go to a priest.
Ben
They always want 10% of your income. Like, you think Botox is expensive. Become religious.
Ronnie
I need to get a new therapist, and I am so not looking forward to finding a new therapist. I'm so not looking forward to going down. That. That's such a process.
Ben
Dating. So, yeah, it's dating.
Ronnie
I know. Therapist dating. My third. My. My lovely therapist passed away. And so now it's time to. Now. Now it's time to get back. To get back on the saddle.
Ben
Yeah. Well, yeah, it's like dating, and it's, I guess, like dating. Kind of like modern dating. You have to whip out all of your traumas right at the beginning. It's like your first date, but start with your traumas. What are we blaming our parents for? You know, what. You know, what resentments do we have towards our siblings? Let's just get it all out there. And, you know, you've only got 45 minutes. So it's like, okay, overweight child, gay. I knew it. Everyone didn't really know what it was. I mean, I was gay, but I didn't know what gay gay was. I just knew. I like show tunes and tap shoes. My mom was really mean to me. I don't even know it's her fault. I mean, it was her mom's fault, really. I think her dad was an alcoholic. They didn't really call it back then because everybody was an alcoholic. Am I right? Seriously. Still hurt by it. I'm 50. I know I should get over it, but it's like, you have to just, like, get in there, tap dance, and then see, you have five minutes for their response, and then you have that five minutes to decide whether or not you want to dump anymore trauma on this person. And if not, on to the next. Like, get that. Get that trauma. Back up, buddy.
Ronnie
And that's why I'm going to hire Dr. Ken, because at this point, I'm just going to only use Bravo therapists.
Ben
Trying to get Nene to come back to the video screen. Oh, it's Dr. Jeff.
Ronnie
That's Dr. Jeff. Dr. Ken is the one who treated Candace and her mother. And he's like, so have you thought about being a more traditional woman? So, yeah, we'll see. We'll see how that all works out. This has nothing to do.
Ben
Well, my answer is yes, but I didn't pay this bill, so let's just move on. So then we go to Amanda, and he's like, how are you, Amanda? Because this was still in the height of Amanda and West craziness. And it's like, I'm okay. Making faces like, wow, okay.
Ronnie
And how are you Approaching today differently. I know. You actually did your own hair. It's nice. Like, yes, I did my own hair, makeup, and styling so no one can get in trouble. And if you hate it, then, you know that's on me, as are most of my actions.
Ben
Oh, God, here we go. She's coming in with the great bravo, apologizer attitude today, which is just like every. Every action I take responsibility for. And then she tells a bunch of more lies while she does it.
Ronnie
She's. Well, at least she has a pulse this time around. At least she's actually responsive and has words that she can use. All right, Lindsay.
Guest or caller
Hi.
Ronnie
Is Gemma still the master of the side eye?
Danny Pellegrino
Yes.
Ben
Yes.
Ronnie
Okay. Where'd you get that? I don't know. It's, like, crazy how genetics work. I'm teaching her how to use threads at this very moment.
Ben
She's a little young for threads. Not facial threads, the actual app. Okay, so then we move on to Kyle Cook, and he's great. Everybody's great, guys. And Andy wants to know, how is your doing? Well, let's. Listen, Kyle, that was a joke question. You don't really need to go on and on answering about it. So we get a clip about Kyle's butthole, and then he talks about how much Metamucil really kind of ruined his life, and it literally broke his butt.
Ronnie
Yeah, I was hoping I'd make the. But, yeah. Yeah, it took a while. I'm finally recovered. It's all good. It's like Andy's, like, really? Okay. Oh, hey, Kenny and Whitney. How's it going? How's your spark these days? Did you remember to charge Whitney's batteries? And Kenny's like, it's Andy. Thank you. It's phenomenal. Our spark is so great. Like, we just. Our spark is wonderful. Isn't that right, Whitney? Our spark is very great and so wonderful. Isn't that right, Whitney? No, you're not supposed to say that last part, Whit.
Danny Pellegrino
Oh, sorry, Andy.
Ben
I am sick of everybody coming for our spark. I've had to defend us our spark for years, and I'm tired of it. This reunion is a very good competition. It's very exciting to watch Lindsay and Kenny compete over who can be the most overdramatic about stupid shit. They're both ridiculous, and I kind of loved it. Both of them, I think, bring a lot of life to this show. God bless that couple.
Ronnie
No, Kenny's a great villain. I mean, he's so insufferable, but he's. He's a. Like, we needed a villain. On this show. And so they got the right one with him.
Ben
Lindsay was pretty insufferable too, in this reunion. And by insufferable I mean I was rolling my eyes but also clapping and laughing because God damn it, why is she so funny? To me, someone in the comments was like, I just don't understand all the yassification of Lindsay. Look, I get Lindsay is obnoxious as hell. I mean, that's who she is. I just agree with her most of the time. And I think she's funny as so you know, certain things you just forgive and she just.
Ronnie
We like that she's fearless.
Danny Pellegrino
There's.
Ronnie
There are a lot of times I do not agree with Lindsay and there are a lot of times where I think she's. She can be very self serving but she is fearless in what she wants to go after and she speaks her mind and we've always loved that on these shows. And she does it in a way that's not like trying to have like a. She's not trying to be like a reality star necessarily. It's just like naturally a reality star. I'm trying to think of a good example of someone who just tries too hard to have a moment and you're like, stop it, you're doing too much versus someone who just has moments because that's just what comes out of them. You know, her damage is such that she just makes beautiful reality TV moments. So like, you know, if you go back and listen to all the Summer house recaps, you can hear like, definitely season one. I was incredibly anti Lindsay. I was like, oh God, all she does is like suck out all the air of the room. And she's very self centered and she just wants all the attention on her and da, da, da. And I've sort of given myself over to Lindsay and realizing that these are actually features, not flaws. And so that is where my gasification of Lindsay comes from.
Ben
Well, you know, if you ever look at food in a ziploc bag and you suck the air out of it with a straw, it keeps the food fresh. So you see, sucking the air out of the room maybe is has led to the longevity of this show. There you go, guys.
Ronnie
Yes, that's exactly.
Ben
That was science.
Ronnie
That was it.
Ben
That was science. You're welcome. Danielle and Owen, you guys are expecting. Well, first of all, congratulations to everybody on this cast for getting pregnant within five minutes of each other. Like, yeah, we did it because everybody got pregnant over Labor Day, which, what a funny time to get pregnant.
Ronnie
I know, right? They all Got excited at the same time, so. Well, they didn't get pregnant over Labor Day. They're all got pregnant, and, like, many of them are due on Labor Day because.
Ben
Oh, right. Even better.
Ronnie
Danielle's baby was due on Labor Day, but I think she had her baby already, in fact.
Ben
Right, but she had it early. Her baby has been in nicu, and she's been there posting, like, videos holding the sweet little baby.
Ronnie
Okay, do we know if the baby is okay?
Ben
The baby's okay.
Ronnie
Yes.
Ben
It's just born really early, so it's, you know, it has to stay.
Ronnie
Yes.
Ben
Incubated. I don't know. I don't want to talk too much about it because I don't know enough about it. But, yeah, babies come out early, and then they put them in, like, a little other egg, and then they.
Ronnie
Yeah.
Ben
You know.
Ronnie
Well, we just. We hope that baby is a. Okay. And so we would hope it's okay
Ben
even if it was ugly.
Ronnie
Would you imagine if he said we didn't know it was okay? I mean, what sort of monsters could you imagine? Yeah. And then Andrea and Lexi also. Their baby is due on September 2nd, and Andy's like, wow. I mean, this is.
Progressive Insurance Announcer
Whoa.
Ben
Wow.
Ronnie
Oh, my God. And. And I think there might be someone else who's even pregnant. Yvonne's like, yes, hi, it's me. If you look in the shadows, I am here. And I am. I am pregnant as well. I'm also on this show.
Ben
Oh, I.
Ronnie
Is that one of our grips?
Danny Pellegrino
Is that.
Ronnie
Who is that? Who's talking over there in the corner? Oh, it must be standards of practices. Brendan, who is that?
Danny Pellegrino
Me?
Ben
It is Lexi. And he's like, wow, Andrea. I guess the prosciutto method works. Lexi's like, our child is gonna see this one day. Andy, she. Your child is gonna stop watching. The second their dad comes on shirtless in his underwear, they're gonna be like, nana, I don't need to see my dad walking around in his underwear. Okay, show me something else. Do we have Nickelodeon? Anything else?
Ronnie
Well, let's get into it. As the entire world knows by now, after Colin, Amanda's marriage went south, Amanda found herself swerving west. Directional puns. There's been a ton of online speculation about where you two stand today. So let's start here. What's going on with Italy?
Ben
Right? Everybody's been passing around pictures of you spitting at West Mouth. That's pretty good. Come on, Amanda. She's like that. An olive. Okay, so you were spitting an olive into his mouth. Well, at least it has some sustenance. Okay.
Ronnie
Yeah, that's. I don't know if I want to watch you bird. Bird methoding and olive back and forth. Also, why are we sharing the olive? Why does he not have his own olive? Was it that you put the olive in your mouth and didn't like it and spat it? It does. The olive does not make it better. It just makes it more visual, makes it more round, makes it a more round issue. But it's still the same grossness.
Ben
Yeah, but the spitting on each other and spitting in each other's mouth, I mean, that's just a thing that people do now. And I, you know, it happened to me once. I've told that story after gay pride. I made out with some dude years ago, and he spit in my face and I smacked him. It's like, who does that? I'd never heard of that before, but I guess that's, that's a thing that people really got into just spitting at each other.
Ronnie
Yeah. Well, everyone, I got a lot of heat because I only asked west if he was on a beta blocker. So people want me to ask you, were you, you know, disengaged chemically? Just say on drugs? And so Amanda's like, no, I mean, I was on a beta blocker, but, like, that's not why I disengaged. I think after a while, I just like, I mean, you guys have seen it because, like, when I get into arguments with Kyle, my defense mechanism is just to, like, shut down and disassociate. So it wasn't because of medication. Yeah.
Ben
Okay, so. And now we're talking about, actually my response.
Ronnie
I, I, that is my exact response when I watch Amanda and Kyle.
Ben
But, yeah, I just disassociated right now. All you did was read her line, and I was like, spitting in mouth, I guess.
Ronnie
What they'll.
Ben
Five guys.
Ronnie
Amanda, Coyote family. God, I would love some five guys.
Ben
So, guys, I hope you're not sick of talking about Amanda and West, because we're going to do it for the next half hour. So how does everybody else feel about Amanda and West? Is everybody shocked? And they're like, they're so shocked. Everybody's shocked. And Danielle's disappointed. Okay. Danielle. Yeah.
Ronnie
Danielle, who has, like, documented this season as really never being friends with Amanda, despite all their attempts to be friends. They just never really were friends. Now she's disappointed. If I were, if I were Amanda, be like, I don't give a if you're disappointed. You're not my friend. I don't, yeah, how you feel about me?
Ben
Moral Mallory over there is very disappointed. Although Danielle did earn this because Amanda was super shitty to her the whole season, and she was doing the whole. She's with them. Someone who's still married. So Danielle deserves it. She deserves to get her disappointed in there. And so Danielle says she's disappointed because of how it, you know, it all unfolded. And I hate that you double down and then, like, you pursued this all the way to Italy. Like, I know you had to make a decision, but I just wish you had taken some time for yourself to be alone. You're with somebody who's, like, just left his wife. I don't think that advice works coming from you, you know, because you could have told him that too, you know? But again, she kind of earned this with Amanda. So go ahead. I mean, if you're fun.
Ronnie
Danielle's not wrong. Danielle's not wrong. Amanda needed to be sing, like, need to be alone and single for once in her life rather than jumping into something right away. So I actually 100 agree that, like, Amanda should not have gone down this path. But I also do think, like, if you're gonna go down this path, then you better do this pass because, like, you cause a lot of damage for it to just be, like, a little, like, a fling. And, like, no, we're not gonna see each other. Like, you guys better make it work. It's like my old boss used to say, like, I don't know if this is actually a truism, but in movies, if, like, a stuntman dies, like, you use that take in the movie because you don't want his death to be in vain. Now, I don't know if that's actually movies.
Ben
It's like a snuff film.
Ronnie
Yeah. That's why I think they actually don't do that. But it's kind of like. But he said it, so I always believed, like, well, they gotta use that take because he gave his life for it. But you're right. I don't think they're gonna show someone actually dying on screen. But the point is this, like, as long as you're gonna create this drama, you might like, you better. You better try to make it work because, like, that's. Otherwise, you're being just stupid.
Ben
I don't agree with you, no matter what. Honestly. I just. I just think if you. If you create a lot of drama and everybody has a fit and then you decide the next the guy, then dump him. I don't. The pressure. I think everybody is under too much pressure to Make a relationship work for whatever reason. And I don't. People are gonna. At this point, people are gonna hate Amanda either way.
Ronnie
You know, it's more like, I would rather know that you went into something not thoughtlessly, but you went in with true intention.
Ben
Right?
Ronnie
Like. Like, you know, if it turns out that they really. This is actually like a real deal relationship. I would prefer that more than, oh, we thought, like, we were. We. I thought he was cute. He's not. And he thought I was cute. And I don't know, we thought we'd try something. And I don't know, it's kind of like that makes it even more thoughtless and more awful because it's like you actually. You cause all this destruction for what you know, at least. It's like when I say you better, it's not like, well, you now you have. Now you're forced to make it work. It's more like, I would hope. I would hope that, like, there was something there that was worth it for you to. To cause this destruction, because otherwise it's really shitty.
Ben
I look at it as like ordering something on a menu and then you eat a few bites and you're full, and then you send it back and people are like, well, excuse me, you're paying for that. And that's a whole thing you just ordered. But I don't. That's it. That's all I wanted and now I'm sending it back.
Ronnie
But also, I'm not saying it's wasteful.
Ben
It's wasteful, but, you know, I paid for it and it. It's not. It's not any different. There's the same amount of food that has been portioned off whether I eat it or not. That's what I say.
Ronnie
Fallacy, not eating it. Yeah, the sun cost fallacy. That's what that is.
Ben
I met. If there's ever been, and I'm not.
Ronnie
If there's ever been something that epitomized the sunk cost fallacy, it's dating Wes Wilson.
Ben
Well, that's another reason. I don't think that she should be like, well, I caused all this destruction. I'm going to make it work no matter what, because West Wilson is going to fuck you over. Everybody knows it. Everybody has seen. Everybody sees the pattern except you. And she sees the pattern. She just thinks that she's going to be that one who's different, just like she did with Kyle. And, you know, there's not really anything you can do for people like that except stop, like, taking their calls because you know you're sick of hearing about it 15 years later, you know, so God bless them both. Go with God. The both of you. Well, I am going to call that preacher.
Ronnie
Well, okay.
Ben
I can't stop saying that. Ever since LC Came back on, I'm just walking around going, I know.
Ronnie
Well, that's very interesting. I know. When a new Orange county starts up, I'm just in Shannon Bedor mode. So anyway, Amanda does her typical line of like, I can't go back and change the fact that I wasn't honest and had hid things, blah, blah, blah. So Andy's like, has anyone hung out with Amanda West? Anyone here in this group? Like, no. Gavin, have they turned up at any of your bars? And he's like, they know better than that. What is this, like an old west town? You're not welcome here.
Ben
You don't show your face in this tavern. All the chairs back up. So Danielle's like, why? What would you do if they came? And Gavin's like, cut, cut, cut. Let's say he's, like, rejected at the door. And Amanda says, yeah, I mean, we're not really going out in general, so. Really? Because you're all over the. The social media going out all the time.
Ronnie
Are you two monogamous now? She's like, yes. Okay, well, we'll see. We'll see how that pans out.
Ben
Are you guys. Are you in love? She's like. And she gives us her yes, but I'm not going to tell you face. Like, she's waiting for everybody to calm down so she can get some kind of Us Weekly article where they announce that they're in love. And she's like, that's a weird question and answer. And Yvonne says, well, do you say, I love you? And she says, not really. Okay, so have you ever. No. Well, love ya counts. Danielle's like, love. Yeah, it doesn't have to be love. You love ya counts. She's like, what is she talking about? So, like, illy.
Ronnie
Illy then.
Ben
And everybody laughs. So I think that this means Amanda says, I love you, and west probably says really romantic things like, thank you.
Ronnie
I think what it is is that they don't. They're not at a point yet where they're saying I love you or feeling in love, but she doesn't want to deal with people saying, so you did all this for someone you don't even love? So she's trying to kind of hedge against that criticism. That's what I believe, but either way, well, I guess we'll find out.
Ben
That makes sense.
Ronnie
When you left, did you leave feeling that there was nothing left on set at the reunion or were you like disappointed with your performance? Like, were you fine with it?
Danny Pellegrino
How did you feel?
Ronnie
She was like, for sure I was disappointed in my performance and I definitely wanted to come in and be able to apologize and provide more clarity and come off as like, like sad and hurt. Like, not hurt, but like, I'm upset that I hurt people. And like, I think the energy. I went into defense mode and like, that's not to blame anyone but like, Sierra was being really mean to me. But I just don't want to blame anyone and I understand where everyone was coming from. But like, like, my natural mode is to get defensive unless I'm going on the offense with Kyle, but otherwise defensive. So, yeah, I don't love the way I handled myself at all.
Ben
Okay, so t tldr you wish you didn't get defensive? She's like, yeah, not at all. Yeah, no, no. Yeah, yeah, no. And Nick says he's like, I don't know west, but I do know about you and I've cared about you for a long time. And it seems like the things you were upset with Kyle about you just getting west, but maybe like 10 times worse. Is that what I'm getting from this? It's like, no, actually. Like, that's not what I've been experiencing, like, whatsoever. And on the flip side, I'm actually getting from him things I felt I was locking in my. My relationship with Kyle. Ben
Well, I mean, you do have someone staying at home all the time with you, mostly because people are throwing tomatoes at you in the street still. But hey, at the end of the day, at least you've got someone to sit on the couch.
Ronnie
Yeah, well, she says that she has someone who's just like supportive and of her feelings and cause like, oh, wow. So let me know when he does your taxes and negotiates a brand deal and makes your bed. Which is such a Kyle response. Like even I have to defend Amanda on this one that like there's a difference between like doing things for someone versus being emotionally supportive. Right. And I love that he. Yeah, but he's like so literal about it. It's like, well, I literally. You had to like change a light bulb and I literally stood under you on the ladder and held you up so that way you wouldn't fall. Like, if that's not support, I don't know what is. Like, well, I think she wants the support of like her husband being in bed with her at night, not like out at a club until 4 in the morning. I think that's what she's talking about. But that's okay.
Ben
Yeah, I think that's what she's talking about too. But I do also think that he's, that's his love language is doing responsible things. Yeah, like, well, you know, I made sure that your, your driver's license was renewed. So I think that's just his love language, you know.
Ronnie
Yeah.
Ben
And then the like going out and making out with other people and stuff, he doesn't really consider
Ronnie
part of that whole, you know.
Ben
And her love language is, you know, be home with me and watch Netflix and you know, don't do anything, you know, know we know hers. So these just, these two just trying to match basically. And she's like, well, I didn't say you don't support me, Kyle, but at the end of our relationship, there were things that were missing. Like, I mean, there were things that were lacking. And he's like, to this day, I'm still doing things to help you. So, I mean, it just hurts when you say things like that. Like, I understand I'm not perfect. Okay. There was stuff that was missing, but there was support. Yeah. Kyle's still missing the point.
Ronnie
Yeah, he is. And so Amanda's like, just the way he talks to me and. Yeah. Tells me it's just like, his actions, but, like, it's just, like, different. Okay, well, I hope you understand that everything everybody here is saying because they care about you. Don't forget that, Amanda. It's like, I know that. And, like, you have people, and you're like, I just don't want to turn your back. And I know it's like to have to sit here and do it all over again. Take the criticism. It's like, lose, lose. You're coming to another arena. And just like, no way that you're gonna. Nothing you're gonna say that's gonna make it right.
Guest or caller
Right?
Ronnie
And she's like, I know. Yeah. So I give you credit for taking it on the chin. And it's the first time that he said the right thing to anybody. That's not the first time that she. He said the right thing to somebody. So just remember that. Manda, she's like, yeah, Kyle,
Ben
Kenny, what
Ronnie
I said, by the way, I got a new haircut. I went back to my season one hair. I guess that's how you know I'm single again. Single guy.
Ben
And then Kenny's like, wow, Kyle, you've been so dignified throughout this whole thing. You know what? I just. Just want to say men just don't get enough credit in today's world. Am I right? Look at how strong Kyle has been through this whole thing. Really? Because in the season finale, Lindsay clearly said, Kyle's been cheat. Kyle's cheated multiple times, and we just don't say anything about it. So I guess we're just all still pretending, you know? Like, I get that, you know, what Amanda did is bad. I've been ragging on Amanda for months. But the fact that Kyle can come in here and is like, the poor, innocent Kyle that the guys are like, yeah, you're just so strong, Kyle.
Danny Pellegrino
Wow.
Ben
Kyle's been cheating forever on Amanda. Can we stop? The thing that was offensive about Amanda in this whole situation was. Is the Sierra aspect and over your friends. As far as west goes or anybody else goes in your marriage, you go for it. You've definitely earned that pass. I don't care if she. Somebody while they were still married. Kyle's done it a million times. So to me, it's just not about that. So it's so funny that everybody's like, oh, Kyle, you're just so brave.
Ronnie
Kyle, please. I know. Seriously, so. And I just think there's something about Kenny being like, you've been so dignified, because he's never going to say that about a woman. He's never gonna. He's never gonna see a woman in a situation and say, I just have to say, you've been so dignified, but like a bro. He'll be like, you, sir, are a national hero. But you know what? We need to have parades in the street for you, because you are a man who had to deal with a tough situation from a woman, and you're doing it with classic. So Amanda is.
Ben
He's amazed how she. He supports Amanda. And Georgina's like, yeah, it's a testament to your character. A real testament, though Andy's like, okay, well, what's your perspective, Amanda, about Kyle's conversation with west and, in general, his level of support? She's like, I mean, like, I'm eternally grateful for Kyle. I just think, like, it shows that we love each other the most and, like, we can still communicate and have. Have friendship. And that's why, like, when we first separated, I was always standing up for Kyle. I'm sorry, can we see one scene of that ever? I've never seen a scene of Amanda standing up for Kyle. This. Especially this year.
Ronnie
Yeah, definitely not every scene. It's been her saying she's completely not supported by Kyle, and it's been misery for years and years. And she's like, I didn't want people to attack him unless it was people I was living with, and I'm just
Ben
kind of talking into attacking him.
Ronnie
Yeah, exactly. So Andy's like, okay, well, so what's it like hanging out with single Kyle now? Everyone? Kenny. And Georgina's like, oh, when he's not making out with somebody, he's like, well, what I'll do Is single Kyle that different from married Kyle?
Ben
Thank you.
Ronnie
Exactly. Like, he is true to himself, as all men should be. And he got like, oh, yeah, I
Ben
don't have, like, this guilt trip every time I want to make out with somebody. Unless he's like, yeah, he's just more in public with his makeouts now. So, Amanda, do you care about him making out with someone new now? And she's like, no. Because, like, I mourned our relationship while I was still in it. So like, now he tells me about makeup. It's like, we laugh about that. You know, it's like, I saw you kissing Megan on your tippy toes. I was on my tippy toes. I had platform shoes. Come on.
Ronnie
Yeah, we laugh about it. And Georgina's like. And at our premiere party, he was telling Amanda, you know, like, Kyle was like, saying, you know, like, I'm proud of you. And she had tears in her eyes. And Kyle's like, yeah, I don't know how that came up. It's like, yeah, I mean, I was like, what? What's going on right now?
Ben
And also how he had sober sex. And he's like, whoa, what? Why are we talking about that he was having sober sex.
Ronnie
Let's dwell on this for the next five minutes of air time. So now we get into this big, long segment about Kyle and his sex life. And so Georgina is like, I mean, how do you know you're over somebody when you're proud of them, like, having sober sex. Am I right, guys?
Danny Pellegrino
Am I right?
Ronnie
Do people hear me on this tool? Or am I just alone in a vacuum?
Danny Pellegrino
Okay.
Ben
Oh, God. And then Kenny. Well, if you're fully processing this, you know, the way that you're showing up for her, the way that you guys are still. Still so friendly. God, Kyle, I mean, given the level of betrayal here by a woman, it's like, wow, you're. Are you really allowing yourself to fully feel the freedom that you deserved after being so completely, you know, screwed over by a biblical Jezebel? What? How do you feel about that?
Ronnie
And Amanda's like, hello, There was no betrayal. I didn't cheat on Kyle. I didn't have an affair. There was no crossover or overlap. Our marriage was done. And Kyle's like, well, look, okay, the only thing I'll say is that I can't compute is, like, our statement comes out on the 18th, and then two weekends happen, then to the super bowl, and everyone says the super bowl is where you guys were like an item. And she's like, like, but that didn't happen. Okay? Like, we were just texting. But I'm like, if you guys were texting, that means we're already like a thing. And then I was like, yeah, but
Ben
this is just a full blown lie. I mean, the fact that she's coming here and being like, no, we weren't even together right then. Like, Amanda, come on. You know you're lying. You know you're. You know, you're a damn liar. Don't make me drag chicken fry into this.
Ronnie
Yeah, yeah. Like, this was. It was something was happening. I think she's good. I think she's, like, betting on semantics. Like, we weren't official. We were just hanging out. And Amanda's like, well, you made out with someone before I was even texting west in any sort of way. And I'm like, yeah, but I think the issue is, like, the random makeouts after, like, the statement goes out. I think that's like, okay, but this wasn't random makeout. This was people that, you know that was in the circle. And, like, being an item is more than a makeout situation. I mean, I don't get this anymore, because everyone knows. It's like. It's like, talk about. About talking about priestly endeavors. We're preaching to the choir.
Ben
Yeah. It's just, you know, we've all been. The whole world has been talking about it for so long. At this point, I'm just. It's just the typical come on and apologize, but then still sit here and lie to everybody's faces like, I can't, so. But the hypocrisy stands with Kyle. Like, well, it really hurt me because there's a timeline. You said this. I'm like, you were making out with someone before I was even texting with West. Like, what are you talking about, Kai? He's like, oh, yeah, okay. Yeah, I mean, that's true. Like, the night before premiere party. Yeah, he was. And Lindsay's like, yeah, he was making out with Sally the night before the summer house premiere. So he's like, I'm so hurt. You were making out with somebody. Oh, yeah. You were, too. Yeah. Blank. You know?
Ronnie
Yeah, that did happen. So hypocrisy, darling. So then they start talking about how he had sex, sober sex, with Sally and how was it? And Gavin's like, did you do the lawnmower? And it's like, okay, well, since nothing happens outside of the Bravo sphere, we. We got Lala from the valley saying that she heard on good authority that you were great in bed. I was like, why are we. Why are we talking about this? This has nothing to do with in the city. And so Kyle is like, like, yeah, well, I woke up from a text from about TMZ and Page Six asking for a comment. I was like, whoa, this is the one time I would like to comment. Right? Right. Should we keep talking about this, guys? Come on. I'm great in bed. And then it's like, oh, it was Sally. Sally is the one. Because Amanda's like, well, how many people have you been sleeping with for the word to get out that you're great in bed. But it's like, no, it was just Sally who said, oh, it was only Sal. Well, she told Lala cuz Lala has a podcast. Oh, what, what you tell Lala that I'm great in bed? Yes, I'm great in bed. Was it the sober sex? It was the sober sex. Oh, I mean this like goes on for so long and I'm like, I, I literally hate when Bravo is like so excited with titillation and it's not me being a prude, but it's just like none of this is like interesting or important for what happened on the show. And like Bravo will always stop a reunion and dwell on like someone talked about sex as opposed to just like getting into like the petty that we like to talk about that he said, she said.
Ben
Well, it's also giving attention to thirsty ass Sally who clearly, yeah, like just went to have sex with Kyle so then she could go call TMZ about it and then go, you know, start a new podcast with Lala about their sex lives called like Unlocking Sex. Some. Some craziness. Like no one understands sex like Lala and Sally. So they're trying to do like a call me saddy type podcast and so now they're publicizing that on this show and it's just, just so Sally to be like you tmz. I found a m. Like of course. Like can I just somebody and this just not have it on? I mean I do but you know, of course Sally immediately calls TMZ and records her podcast.
Ronnie
Yeah, I just feel like, like none of this was. Is like germane to the actual show. I don't think any of this is really on anyone's minds. Like, oh, how is sober sex for Kyle? I think it's like, like I want to know. Like I want to get the bottom some petty crap. I mean I can't think of what's. What happened on the show that I'm like really want to get to the bottom of. I mean that's. I enjoyed in the City, but there's nothing where I'm like, I hope they ask this question. But I just feel like whenever there there something there's will always be a moment on any Bravo show where there'll be like a, a 22nd cutaway of someone saying like, oh yeah, you know, one time in college I had sex and my professor walked in and everyone laughs and you move on and then it becomes like a 10 minute segment on and it's just so out of proportion for like what that moment was for the entire show.
Ben
Congratulations, you've reached the end of part one of a two part recap for part two. Go look for the recap that says part two. See you over there, suckers.

This episode is sponsored by Michael's, your destination for all things birthday parties. We just had Lucky's first birthday and it was so great to be able to go into Michael's and get everything. Of course, I knew they had craft supplies there, but I didn't realize how expansive their party supplies were. And Michael's really is where you can go to get everything for a party, whether you're planning a kid's birthday or even an adult celebration. They've got over 4,500 party supplies, more than 60 different themes, and prices starting at just 99 cents. Plus, they've recently lowered prices on hundreds of items. We found adorable decorations, balloons, everything we needed to pull the party together without making a bunch of different shopping trips. Plus, I always have a good time going to Michael's. I love shopping there. I could just browse the aisles forever. But if you're short on time like I always seem to be, you can also get same day delivery or buy online and pick up at the store. They even offer free helium inflation on select balloon styles, which is such a lifesaver. And it was for our party, truly. So if you got a birthday coming up or just a celebration, remember Michaels everything. To celebrate anything, visit Michaels in store or shop online.

In the City S1E10 Part One: Mom Fights and Turning West
Airdate: July 22, 2026
Hosts: Ben Mandelker & Ronnie Karam
Ben and Ronnie dive into the first reunion of the new Bravo series "In the City" (S1E10), focusing on the fallout from Amanda and Kyle's breakup, Amanda’s heavily-publicized Italian escapade with West, and a slew of “mom fights” and cast pregnancy announcements. Throughout, the hosts offer their signature blend of campy affection and pointed mockery for their beloved Bravo universe, also detouring into tales of coyotes, Botox, and the peculiar ways reality TV relationships combust.
"Marriage is hard in general, and then when it’s on TV, it’s even harder."
"The Face family out here chilling. They are very cute. You know, I don’t want them to die. I just want them to move." (08:17)
“Kenny just had, like, this shine coming off of, like, over his lip...guys, we can pull back a little bit on this lip gloss.” (09:45)
“…He’s botoxed, I guess, to the hilt where his face doesn’t move… but it’s always got kind of a ‘what the fuck are you talking about? I’m judging you’ …”
Ronnie & Ben (09:07, 28:06-29:09):
"So you were spitting an olive into his mouth. Well, at least it has some sustenance.” (28:25)
Medication & Disassociation (29:09): Amanda clarifies her notorious “disengagement” wasn’t due to beta blockers but was her coping mechanism in arguments with Kyle.
Amanda’s Emotional State (21:01-22:00): She takes ownership (with a typically Bravo “apologizer” tone) for her drama:
“...if you hate it, then, you know that's on me, as are most of my actions.” (21:20)
Danielle’s Disappointment (30:31–31:34): Danielle shares being “disappointed” by Amanda’s choices, triggering the hosts’ reflections on whether Amanda should “make it work” with West to justify all the drama.
“I would hope that… there was something there that was worth it for you, to cause this destruction, because otherwise it's really shitty.” –Ronnie (33:09)
Dissecting Support & Love Languages (41:08-42:25): Kyle’s idea of support (practical acts) vs. Amanda’s want for emotional support is unpacked.
“I made sure that your driver’s license was renewed. So I think that's just his love language, you know?” - Ben (42:03)
Cheating and Hypocrisy (49:02-50:26):
“Kyle's been cheating forever on Amanda … the thing that was offensive about Amanda in this whole situation was… the Sierra aspect and over your friends. As far as West goes … you go for it. You've definitely earned that pass.” (44:42)
Bravo’s ‘Thirst’ for Sex Talk (51:16–54:25):
“Marriage is hard in general, and then when it’s on TV, it’s even harder.”
—Ronnie (02:49)

—Ronnie, on Lindsay (24:07)
“...if you hate it, then, you know that's on me, as are most of my actions.”

—Ronnie (33:09)
