Joshua Gershonowicz built and sold a marketing agency. He spent years inside pitches, retainers, staffing plans, and agency-client relationships — and saw firsthand how difficult it actually is for companies to choose the right agency.

That experience led him to launch ShortList.

ShortList independently runs the agency selection process for companies. They own the decision end to end — clarifying what's needed, managing the search, structuring evaluation, and helping leadership make a confident final choice — entirely client-side.

The work is human-led and AI-supported, leveraging technology to increase speed, structure, and signal throughout the process — delivering decision clarity faster and at a lower cost than traditional agency search models, without losing judgment or chemistry.

Josh works primarily with founder-led and mid-market companies, and also support larger, high-stakes or procurement-led searches.

Outside of ShortList, Josh invests in value-add and distressed real estate. It's a long-standing passion and an active focus — centered on creating value for investors, uncovering overlooked opportunities, and executing projects with real upside.
