This week, we're taking a look at Almost Famous, the semi-autobiographical story from Cameron Crowe of an up and coming 1970's rock band struggling with the harsh realities of fame... or are we??? April, for us, is April Fool's Month where we say we're looking at one film but, we actually look at something completely different! Listen in and find out what we're really talking about.

In the March of Madness continues here on the podcast as, this week, our very own master of the the macabre and mischief, Marc, brings us another claustrophobic film for us to take a look at. This time, he brings us the Alfred Hitchcock classic, ROPE starring James Stewart. The film tells the story of two brilliant young room mates, Brandon Shaw and Phillip Morgan, who strangle to death their former classmate David in their Manhattan penthouse apartment. They commit the crime as an intellectual exercise: they want to prove their superiority by committing the "perfect murder"...and see if they can get away with it by hiding David's body in a large trunk and then proceed to throw a dinner party where some of the invited guests happen to be David's father and his fiancee. Also present is their former professor, played by James Stewart, who begins to suspect that something is terribly wrong and that Brandon and Phillip are somehow involved. Tune in and find out what we thought.

In the March of Madness month continues with another Marc pick of movies that take place in one confined space. This week, we're taking a look at Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs, the 1992 American independent heist film starring Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Chris Penn, Steve Buscemi, Michael Madsen as diamond thieves whose heist of a jewelry store goes terribly wrong. Joining us on the podcast this week, is friend of the show and one of Tarantino's biggest fans...Mike Freeman! Listen in and find out what we all thought.

March is here and that means it's "In the March of Madness" month here at Three Geeky Dads. This month, our own Marc is picking for us 4 movies that all take place in one confined space and, to kick it all off, he's chosen for this week, John Carpenter's 1976 action-thriller, Assault On Precinct 13! It features Austin Stoker as a police officer who defends a defunct precinct against a relentless criminal gang, and Darwin Joston as a death row-bound convict who assists him in defending the police station against the ensuing siege. Tune in and find out what we all thought!!!

They Dreaded Kegs = Three Geeky Dads Just like Setec Astronomy = Too Many Secrets Well, it's no secret that we are going to be taking a look at the 1992 espionage caper film, SNEAKERS starring Robert Redfolrd, Dan Aykroyd, Sidney Poitier, Mary McDonnell, Ben Kingsley, River Phoenix and David Strathairn. In the film, Redford and his team of security techs are tasked by a shadowy government agency to retrieve a mysterious "black box" but, but soon realize the job has nefarious and far-reaching consequences. Tune in and find out what we all thought!

We weren't able to record this past week (because...reasons) but, luckily, we had a new ESCAPE POD episode in our pack pockets (almost) ready to release! In this episode, Geeky Dads Marc and Brien join up with Chris and Tristan Ham from the Get Your Shine Box Podcast to talk all things geeky that we liked and disliked in 2025 and we talk all about the geeky things we're looking forward to in the coming year! We're calling ourselves The TRIBBLE ALLIANCE...we would be honored if you would join us!

February, for us, is FANTASY FEBRUARY and to kick if off this year, Geek Dad Brien (who is curating this month's films we're talking about) wanted wanted us to take a look at one if the fantasy movies that resonated with him...the 1981 Disney/Paramount c0-production of DRAGONSLAYER. This Film stars Peter MacNicol who plays a sorceror's apprentice who sets off to kill a dragon which has been devouring virgin girls from a nearby kingdom. This film features pioneering stop-motion effects with a very competent cast and classic fantasy backdrop to produce a very under-rated movie. Tune in and find out what we all thought of it (and GO PATS!!!)

The Three Geeky Dads wrap up the Halloween season with a look at a really crappy monster movie...from 2004, it's Stephen Sommers' Van Helsing! And, unlike Frankenstein's Monster, this is a movie so poorly put together, that even Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale couldn't save it!!!
