Chiclet
Foreign.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Welcome back to another episode of Trading Secrets. Today we are joined by that content creator couple who turned social media stars with videos of their exaggerated couple arguments. And let me tell you, those exaggerated couple arguments are just as real in life when the cameras aren't rolling. Chiclet. After meeting at a friend's party over 10 years ago, Chiclet and Melenie had instant chemistry. And it was their sense of humor that eventually brought them together not only as a couple, but an Internet comedy duo. Achieving a level of fame and recognition was not necessarily an objective for the budding comedians who stood out with their short videos. However, with over 7 million combined followers across their social media accounts, their love for each other and comedy turned into a story that people wanted to follow. We are going to discuss their story of love and comedy success and content creation and where they see their personal and professional lives progressing in the years to come. Chiclet and Meleni, thank you so much for being on Trading Secrets.
Chiclet
Yeah, let's go shout out to ChatGPT for writing that. ChatGPT. It was beautiful. They crushed it for me.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
ChatGPT with a mix of My man Stephen.
Chiclet
I thought you was about to make us bigger box the way, like, let's get ready to rumble. Let's get ready to rumble. You did that beautifully.
David Arin
Gotta bring the energy, you know what I mean?
Chiclet
Appreciate the intro. That was good.
David Arin
You guys bring the energy.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
All right, let's go back day one, man. We're taking a step back. So you guys were in the content game way before the content game, what it is today. So talk to me about before content became a career for you guys. What were you doing professionally?
Chiclet
And.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
And what did, like, you believe your life was going to look like professionally? We'll start with you, chicklet.
Chiclet
Oh, yeah. Great person to start with. So basically a group of friends around me were. They had a rap group, okay. And it was called hbk. And I was just the guy.
Millennia
He was just their cheerleader.
Chiclet
I was just. Yeah, he's just their boy.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
You're like the promo guy, the number one supporter.
Chiclet
I was just. Oh, just there. I was just the guy that didn't rape, you know, everybody else.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
You're the fanboy.
Chiclet
Yeah. So. And it's crazy, the other day I was thinking to millennia, I'm like, yo, there's one of my boys that always told me I should do videos. And I never give him credit for that.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah.
Chiclet
Like, I don't think I've ever mentioned I was thinking about it. I'm like, yo, he always said, yo, do videos. Do videos. But it wasn't till I was like, I'm going to do videos to help promote their music. So I even wrote like, I'm going to get a lot of followers.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
To help promote their music.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
What year was that?
Chiclet
2012, when I wrote that.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Okay, so when you wrote that, was that your job, helping them with videos?
Chiclet
No, it was nothing. It was just I wanted to. I wanted to put my own content out, but gain a following with my own content.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
And then push to help. Push. No, got it. That was the idea.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
That was your idea to be a.
Millennia
Part of the team.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Gotcha. Okay, so that was kind of the vision.
Chiclet
That was the vision.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
What were you doing for work then?
Chiclet
Right then, right there, I was delivering Ikea furniture.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Okay, and how much were you making doing that?
Chiclet
$50 a day, guaranteed.
Interviewer/Moderator
Okay.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
And so then in the content game, you have this idea in 2012, when did you actually start, like, pushing content in a way that you can make money off it?
Chiclet
2017. 17.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
So from 2012 to 2017, tell me a little bit about what else you did professionally to make money.
Chiclet
Okay. So what happened was me and Meleni get together during this time. She wasn't around in 2012, and we I start involving her into the content. More like kind of vlog. Before I would do it was 15 seconds when I first started. So I'll do kind of like almost like a 15 second bit. Yeah, I'll make up a story. Something like that. And then it switched over to us doing content. And I was like, okay, real life now let a little less stories. And then we worked for Parks and Recreation, both of us together.
Interviewer/Moderator
Okay.
Chiclet
She worked in a different area though, than I did. So it wasn't together, but same time. And during that run, people were coming up to me when I was working in the parks. Mind you, they have a lot of followers. I think I like 3K.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
What platform?
Chiclet
IG only.
Interviewer/Moderator
Okay.
Chiclet
And certain people, like, I literally, when I noticed it, and I'll never forget this date, I went into a restaurant and the guy was like, don't you make content? And I was like, yeah, say chick la, right? I'm like, yeah, mind you, I have two. I think it was 2,000 followers, not 3K. And I crossed the street, went to the deli to grab a soda from deli. He was like, yo, I know you. And I'm like, oh, what? This is cool. So that was kind of the spark right there was like, oh, wait, there's something here. Yeah, this Might be working.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
The job lets us go in August, I think September, because it was seasonal.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Millennia
It was like a summer job.
Chiclet
And I was looking for a job for like a month or two. A couple months.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
And it wasn't until I told Melaya, like, you know what? I want to do this content. Like, this is what I really want to do. I think November, we did a video that did the best out of all of them.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
And I was like, yo, we got to do this.
David Arin
I love it.
Chiclet
But I was like, damn, I need money. Because I wanted to pay for promo.
Interviewer/Moderator
Sure.
Chiclet
It wasn't until I said, yo, I need a job to do this till 3, 4 jobs hit me, like, the next day.
David Arin
I love it.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Let me ask you this, though. And then millennium, I'm coming to you. Before you started content, what do you think the most is that you made in an annual basis from work? There's a reason for this question.
Chiclet
I'll say weekly. The most I probably made was close to a thousand.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Now, okay, so like 52,000 a year.
Chiclet
No, no, no, that was just one.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Like, that was like one week, right?
Chiclet
One week. That was the most I made that. I've never made that again, though. It was like 50 to $75 a day.
Interviewer/Moderator
Okay.
Chiclet
And that was with IKEA. But before, when I got the next job, I worked as a dishwasher and I was making 300 a week.
David Arin
I love this story.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
I mean, it's. Let's. Let's say it's like 25 to then 40,000. The reason I asked that question, first of all, I love that, like, you go. You go from washing dishes to now Fast forward in 2025, part of, you know, streaming university, killing it. Just absolutely crushing. It's a beautiful story, but I think a lot of people back home, they.
David Arin
Struggle with, like, making the leap of.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Faith into a new career because it's hard to do. For you. When you did it, were you just like, okay, when I start content, I just gotta make more than a thousand a week? Or did you have that in mind at all? Were you money?
David Arin
Not even. You're just like, I don't care.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
I'm just gonna spend everything I got until I make it.
Chiclet
No, I thought I could do both.
Interviewer/Moderator
Okay. Okay.
Chiclet
I didn't see you. I actually thought I needed the job table to keep content creation.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Gotcha.
Interviewer/Moderator
Okay.
Chiclet
So when I went into work, it wasn't like I looked at it as, damn, I have to go to work. It was, like, kind of exciting because I needed that to do What I wanted to do.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
And it was. It was a dope venture for me. I'm like, okay. Because the reason I dishwashing was because it was close to the house.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yep.
Chiclet
And it was Monday through Friday, so I was like, oh, my God. Weekends, I'll be free. Yeah, I could go. So I didn't really care. I mean, I know there's people that need, you know, money for. I lived with my mom at the time, so I just needed to pay her rent, which was like, she charged me like, 400amonth.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
So I was like, I. You know, that's one week in a couple days, but as long as I get that off, I'm good. And then I started doing, like, story promos and stuff, too, to help. So we try to do that route, and I was trying to come up with ways for people, like, to put their songs in my playlist. You know, mind you, I had, like, 5K followers at the time and stuff like that. But I was trying to make it work.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
Like, I didn't want to just give up. Like, I really wanted to do this also. I was younger, you know, so there's a little difference for me and people.
David Arin
Sure.
Chiclet
But I. Dang, this is crazy. I talk in circles.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, right? Yeah.
Chiclet
Because one of the advice I tell people now is, like, when people be like, oh, I'm tired, You know, like, so they can't do content creation.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Sure.
Chiclet
Focus on themselves because they're tired. I'm like, ain't you tired when you go into work?
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, it's true.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Take a work approach to it.
Chiclet
You're tired when you show up for work.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
Just do it and be tired.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Just do it and be tired.
Chiclet
I was going off the other day. I was like, you was ever hungry and didn't eat?
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
Because you literally can't, like, you know, like, right now, I was hungry. We're shooting. Sure.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Just keep going.
Chiclet
Don't eat.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
I like it.
Interviewer/Moderator
Right.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Do it and do it.
Sponsor Voice
Tire.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
That's good.
Chiclet
Just do it. Tired.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
I like, that's a trading secret there.
David Arin
I've used this product for my businesses, and I use this product when I support other businesses. Support for today's episode comes from square.
Sponsor Voice
The system powering literally, like, half the places I go. If you've ever tapped to pay and.
David Arin
Thought, whoa, that was fast, it was probably square.
Sponsor Voice
Whether you're selling lattes, you're cutting hair, detailing cars, or running a studio, square will help you run your business without running yourself into the ground. It's Very simple. Square will help with payments, it helps with payroll.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
And whether you are a buyer or.
Sponsor Voice
You are a seller, it can change everything. I liked one review here where I saw Square helps keep everything under control even during lunch rush. That was with Blue Bottle Cafe. Ever heard of them? No contracts, no hidden fees, no complicated installs. Just tools that accept every major payment method, let you see sales and inventory in real time across every channel. And you access earnings immediately with Square Banking. So right now my listeners can get up to $200 off of Square Hardware. When you sign up at square.com go tradingsecrets. That's square sq u a r e.com go/tradingsecrets. Visit square to get started. Because the right tools make all the difference.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
All right, Milan, let's go to you. So before you went content full time, what was like your career path and what were the earnings of that career path?
Millennia
My career path was in dance. I was working at a company called Dance Wave and I was doing outreach.
Interviewer/Moderator
Okay.
Millennia
So I would bring dance into the public school system. That's cool. And so I was, man, I was making like what, fucking a buck fifty a week? A buck fifty a week I was making. It was a part time job and I was probably making like 12,000 a year. Like I wasn't making shit.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Millennia
And then I picked up working at an MRI office. Got fired from that. And I also did a little bit of telemarketing that I can disclose of. But, but so I had like a few random jobs like trying to make money.
Chiclet
I always struggle, struggle while we was in the content. My fault. While we was creating content.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Okay, gotcha.
Chiclet
All these jobs.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
When you think about, like where you are today and obviously you're having a ton of success and you think about back then, you know, was there ever a moment or a story that you're thinking like, oh, financially we're, we're in, we're in trouble now. Like when you look back at those days, do you, is there anything that you look back at from a money perspective and like, how did we make it?
Millennia
You know what the funny, not funny thing is, but when I didn't have money, I wasn't concerned about the fact that I didn't have money because I was so young.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah.
Millennia
Because I was like, this is only like temporarily that I'm going to be this broke.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah. Yeah.
Millennia
So I was never stressing.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Millennia
About. I also didn't pay rent though.
Interviewer/Moderator
Okay.
Millennia
I just had my credit card bills to pay.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Millennia
Probably stupid of me. To even think that way concerned, like.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Yeah, I love it. Well, go back to 2017. Now you're. You're working in the content creation space. You're like, let's do this. When. When do things really start to pop up? When do you start to notice, like, wait a second. Big. Like, this is real money. Like, this is way outpacing anything I've ever done professionally.
Chiclet
So what happened was making 300 a week.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yep.
Chiclet
Shooting. If you go back down my page, actually, you'll see me in an apron and a dishwashing hat on.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
Making videos there.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
So you'll see it.
Interviewer/Moderator
It's there.
Chiclet
So November, I go, yo, I want to do this.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
January. I'm like, all right, we're doing this. Let's go. I started submitting my videos to worldstar. People don't know to this day they have an email they could submit.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
So I used to submit every day.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Interesting.
Chiclet
And they'll pick it up. And I started gaining a following, like, 5, 10k a month. I was gaining followers by, like, January. I already got hit to work. I didn't remember. I said I took the job to pay for promo. I ended up. Didn't have to. Cause Worldstar picked up my video.
Interviewer/Moderator
Wow.
Chiclet
And it was picking it up so frequently that I was growing.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
So by July, I had 30,000 followers.
Interviewer/Moderator
Okay.
Chiclet
And this is back then, you know, and my uncle was like, yo, July. Cause it was like the end of July. He's like, you didn't really gain as much as you've been. And I was like, it took me faster to get to 30k than to 3000 followers.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
I'll be.
Interviewer/Moderator
I. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Chiclet
I want to say two days later, I went from 30k to 80,000.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Two days.
Chiclet
Yeah.
Interviewer/Moderator
How?
Chiclet
We.
Millennia
We dropped the.
Chiclet
We dropped two bangers back to back one.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
What were they?
Chiclet
And then I.
Interviewer/Moderator
Hold.
Chiclet
Excuse me. My fault. And then I went private. So that was the source, though, because.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Then you people had to follow you.
Chiclet
Then they had to go see what was going on on my page.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Interesting.
Chiclet
So when I saw a bunch of, like, blog posts. Oh, I'm going private. And that's what made the jump.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Because now people can't just view. They have to actually follow me. Would you recommend people do that today or.
Interviewer/Moderator
No?
Chiclet
No. Because I don't think following even matters as much.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah. Yeah.
Chiclet
It's more of, like, just how many impressions and.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
Views and engagement.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Okay.
Chiclet
You can tell them more videos than my phone.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
What were the two bangers that you.
Millennia
Dropped the banger was. He put. He had a Doucet cup, and he was putting Arizona iced tea in it.
Chiclet
That was in the bottle.
Millennia
In the bottle. And I was telling him, like, yo, you're a bum for doing that. Like, what are you doing?
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Millennia
And then the other one, we were in the club, wasn't it?
Chiclet
That one we did. We dropped two. We shot them both the same day. One of them was me wearing. This is where fanny pack came.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chiclet
So she was like, why you rocking the fanny pack? And I was like, pab rocker, rest in peace. He's rocking it. Meek Mill rocking it. Everybody's rocking it. And that hit. And then the next day, I went and dropped the. I was pouring Arizona iced tea into the Doucet bottle because it looks a similar color.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
And she's like, they're gonna be able to tell. And I was like, just put the video on black and white. They won't know what it is. That he had a front foot of Graham.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
That's the one that ripped. Unbelievable. Okay.
Millennia
Posted that one, right?
Chiclet
You go cardi B, 50 Cent. Oh, shade Room. Like, every vlog you can think of, like, even Mass Appeal, hit us up to do an interview because of that.
Interviewer/Moderator
Damn.
Millennia
Yeah.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
All right.
Millennia
Song in the background.
Chiclet
Yeah.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Okay, so once you start popping 2017, like, around. How much are you making off content?
Chiclet
Look, so there's this. This is. This is one weekend.
Interviewer/Moderator
Okay.
Chiclet
That video hits douche hits me up. Memphis bleak.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yep.
Chiclet
They have a douche podcast.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
My fault for the promos.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Oh, you're good. You fire away, man.
Chiclet
They hit me up. Yo, we got this podcast. Want you to come on. Boom. I go on during that weekend. Great Fire. Never done that. Like this. I get a hosting hit up. So hosting hits me up. Yeah, we got 350 for you in a bottle. Like, 350. I'll make this in a week.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chiclet
This in an hour. Two hours. Yeah. So I went. I said, all right, cool. I was excited. Like, yo, we just drank for free. We went to the club and didn't spend money. Like, I was so excited.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
It's 10 hours of dishwasher. 20 hours of dishwasher.
Chiclet
Seriously?
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, 40. Yeah.
Chiclet
A whole week. I used to make five. Yeah, 40. 40. So I made that. Go back to work. That Monday, somebody from Roc Nation reaches out again. Like, yo, we want you to come up for a different reason this time. And I'm like, okay. So my uncle, he's like, yo, you want me to go with you? Because I was Like, I don't know what they're talking about. He used to manage before rappers and stuff, before me. So I said, yeah, come up with me. The whole time they're up there talking, I have no idea what they're talking about. I'm here like, what?
Host (possibly Jay or David)
You don't even know what's going on.
Interviewer/Moderator
Dang.
Chiclet
God. I invited him with me.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chiclet
He goes, okay, they want you on title. They're asking nine episodes. Eight episodes, two minutes. Yeah, five grand. I'm gonna ask for 10. I'm like, oh, they give me five. They did it for free.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah.
Chiclet
That's how much I want to do it. He's like, nah, he asked for 10. They gave us seven. So we already got seven GS right there. More hostings are hitting us up. I went back to work the next day and I was quit. I never showed back.
Co-host or Guest Commentator
Wow, I love that.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Were you still working at this time?
Millennia
I was still working.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Okay, and at what point did you quit from content earnings?
Millennia
Probably like a year and a half after that.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Okay, what, did you have a story or thought that, like, did something happen like that to you where you're like, I'm done with work. This just happened.
Millennia
The reason why I ended up, like, stopping to work because I love the work. I love bringing dance to the public schools. That's how I started getting into dance. So it was like, I love doing it, but it just became like I couldn't give 100 to me and to the company.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Millennia
And so I was like, no, I need to choose me at the end of the day. So at that point I was like, yeah, I'm walk away from this company at this point. And that's really what it was like. I just, I couldn't. It was costing us, like, opportunities. And I'm like, all right, I need to be at work at this time. And we can't go to certain things because of it was conflicting.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Okay, so then you go full time is like 2000, like 19ish. 18ish. Right. And now you're. Now you guys are ripping. At what point do you start to make like life changing money? And what does that look like?
Chiclet
Well, I'm not gonna lie for us. No. I'm like, last week, not at all. Because honestly, life changing for us was that first week that I was just telling you about.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chiclet
Like, like it was life changing immediately.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
So it's like, then when I got.
Millennia
My Fashion Nova deal too, that was.
Chiclet
Getting consistent later, you know, we're. But we was doing the hostings, making five, ten G's just for an hour at a club. This is eight years ago.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
So it was like, oh, my God.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
So this was life changing for us. It was just like. I don't want to say I regret, but just when you live life fast like that we wasn't. I feel like I wasn't in the moment. Like, I didn't even appreciate that till recently, actually. Yeah, all of that stuff. Like, I appreciate it, of course, I think at the time, but I never thought back to it till recently. Like, wow, this was crazy. Like, what? I can't believe this. And I remember back then, though, I used to think, like, off of Instagram, off of content. Like, I used to think I was a loser for that.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Well, and that is crazy. And now it's like, people are looking up to you. Kids want to be you. And, like, think about how far that has come. Like, what an unbelievable moment when you're thinking about, like, the dishwasher days of 300 bucks a week and you look at where you are today. What's now your new dream? Like, do you have a goal of, like, I want to make this much a year or I want to earn this much on a certain deal? Like, where's the threshold today? Now, knowing, like, how far you've come?
Millennia
My dream. I need to hit a mill.
David Arin
Okay, yeah, mill.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
That's the goal.
David Arin
You're on that.
Millennia
And I want, like a. I want, like, Well, I want over mill, but because my real dream is to have a campaign with, like, a nationwide campaign with a company.
Chiclet
Do you mean you want a deal that's worth a million or you want to hit them? Yeah, that's what you mean, right? Yeah, like, hit a.
Millennia
It was kind of both.
Chiclet
You feel a million, baby. I don't know. If you ever look back, you hit a million a couple times.
Millennia
I'll be spending money.
Interviewer/Moderator
How about you?
Chiclet
So what's your.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
What's your. Like when you look about an annual amount you want to hit and. Or a big deal. What's it look like?
Chiclet
See, so mine, of course, money's a thing. It wasn't until recently that I was able to express that. I hate for those who get annoyed, the way I answer questions, you.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
That's a great clip right there. That's in the teaser for sure.
Chiclet
Because it's crazy because recently, like, millennia would tell me, like, yo, you always want more. You always want more. And I didn't know how to express that. It wasn't more money. It Was I like to create, and I need to create more.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Interesting.
Interviewer/Moderator
Gosh.
Chiclet
But I didn't know how to express that before.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah. I got.
Chiclet
It wasn't until recently I was, like, sitting on the couch. I'm like, I need to do something. She's like, yeah, we good? And I'm like, I like doing this.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chiclet
And if I keep suppressing it and it's not. I'm not saying it's her.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
It was me not knowing.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
Like, the other day, we ride on the bike, and I'm excited, but I call myself a homebody.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chiclet
Like, maybe home is just my safe place, and I'm supposed to be outside. Sure. Enjoying this. And it's just. It's crazy how, like, I can't. My mind. In my mind, I contradict it.
Interviewer/Moderator
Right.
Chiclet
So I'm like, just on the couch. Mind you, I love creating, but I'm not.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chiclet
Like, it's so weird, like, putting myself in a depression because I'm not doing. I love doing.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
So you're. You're then more focused because the question's about how much money to make, but you're just like, I dream to create more. Or do you have a number you want?
Chiclet
I do have a number I want to hit. Honestly, what I really want out of everything in this place is whatever number takes care of my family where they don't have to do stuff. But I also really want a house, too.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
So it's like, I really, really want a house.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
But to be honest with me, with money, I don't prioritize saving. Putting it like, I've never had my work money work for.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
And, you know, that's why I asked you, like, yo, please. Because we make enough that we should be all right. Yeah, we should have a house.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Gotcha.
Chiclet
But I don't. Like, I just. You know, I think my problem is I try to do different avenues.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
And when I go into, like, let's say if I do podcast, I want all these cameras right now.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chiclet
And then I'll quit.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chiclet
And I wasted 50 grand.
David Arin
And then you didn't even do.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
I got you.
Chiclet
So that's, like, my bad thing. But I would love for that number to be on a deal.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
On a deal or an annual basis?
Chiclet
Annual basis. I'm good with, like, 2 million a year.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
2 million a year. And how much on a deal is, like, your goal right now? Like, I want to get this on a deal. What's that goal?
Chiclet
I gotta do a mill.
Interviewer/Moderator
All right.
David Arin
Gotta do a mill.
Interviewer/Moderator
There you go.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
You heard it right here. All right, Melanie, let me ask you this. Of all the platforms you're on, which one do you earn the most money? And so you guys are on just like you're on Instagram, you're working on Snapchat, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and you're doing streaming now. So of all those, where do you earn the most?
Millennia
I would say Instagram.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Instagram.
Millennia
Cuz of brand deals.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Cuz of brand deals.
Chiclet
And how about yourself without brand deals? Facebook.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Okay, Facebook. Interesting.
David Arin
I got to be honest with you guys. I'm not making this up. This past weekend, someone thought I was 25. I swear. I swear, I swear. I think my trading secret is One Skin.

Host (possibly Jay or David)
For a limited time, you could try.
Sponsor Voice
One skin with a 15 off coupon using code trading secrets@oneskin.co. that's 15 off at oneskin co with code trading secrets.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
All right, now let me ask you this. You were just in both you2 were in the streamer University. For someone that's never heard of streamer University with kaisernet, just excus explain what it is chic like. Give me your explanation.
David Arin
What is it?
Chiclet
Streamer University was basically a big networking for streamers.
Interviewer/Moderator
Okay.
Chiclet
To help streamers gain an audience. You know what I'm saying?
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
So that, that's what it was. A lot of people were. I said the only backlash I seen was there was too many big creators. But to be honest, I feel like if there wasn't, then there's no networking happening.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Do you get paid to go into streaming university? Okay, and so let's go with you, Miladi. You're in the streaming university. What was your biggest learning lesson from that?
Millennia
The biggest learning lesson was how to work honestly.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
And what, what was that takeaway so.
Millennia
Watching, like watching different creators like really like push themselves in work and like making content.
Chiclet
They weren't sleeping, bro.
Millennia
They weren't sleeping. People were sleeping.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
So they're just, they're just literally working 24 seven people were.
Millennia
They'll sleep for like two hours. Like Talil, he was one of, he got valedictorian. He literally was streaming till like six in the morning. Will go to sleep for a little bit and wake up and be in class. Adding that breakfast by nine o' clock on time.
Chiclet
What do you.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
What is he streaming? So for anyone that doesn't know what streaming is, it's your 24, 7. You got the camera up and people are engaging. What is. What are you streaming that long? Is it just life?
Chiclet
So basically Twitch was known for gaming.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
I don't know who brought it to the table. Irl, which is in real life. It's basically like vlogging, but real time.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
24. 7 live.
Chiclet
That's it.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Now when you are on, when you're on Twitch and you're gaming, is that considered streaming?
Chiclet
Yeah, anything, anything live is streaming.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
And how you make money off Twitch, like when you're playing online game or you're streaming, how you making money off?
Chiclet
So one of the biggest is ad revenue. You could actually click. You want maximum ads, recommended ads, minimum ads to run for your people to see. And for them, if they don't want to see ads, they'll play for a subscription.
Interviewer/Moderator
Okay.
Chiclet
Subscription comes in tiers. You could pay for months. You could pay for this. And it was five to seven dollars right now.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Yeah, it is.
Chiclet
So you can make money off subs, which when people sub to you, they get emotes. Which is basically your own emojis.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
That they use in a chat and they don't get no ads at all.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
And so how much could. Like how much do you make off streaming?
Chiclet
Me right now? This month I'm doing about almost 3K.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
3K a month.
Interviewer/Moderator
Okay, gotcha.
Chiclet
This month. Last month we did 10k.
Interviewer/Moderator
Okay.
Chiclet
We took a break and that's. That hurt. That backfired.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Okay, what is the. So it's interesting to just hear about like how much monthly comes in from that and how that's going to continue to grow. I want to ask you this. What is the hardest part about working with your husband 24 7? Because that's like a tough.
Millennia
How much time we got.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Yeah, well, it's just. That's what it's a hard in this space, creators that there's a. There's couples staying at this house that work together, that's hard. Like, what are some of the biggest challenges?
Millennia
You have to understand the biggest challenge. I think it's the fact that we have different ways of working.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Interesting.
Millennia
He has a very, like, intentional, like, if I want. If I have this goal, what are we placing? Like, what are we doing?
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Millennia
Like, and really be mindful of it.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Millennia
Actively make those moves in order to reach your goal. I'm very like, go with the flow.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
You're like, checkbox. Like, let's do this, let's go. Let's get this done.
Millennia
Even the way he went about, like, streaming.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Millennia
He made connections. He had a goal about streaming. He made connections. He gifted people.
Chiclet
I didn't know Kai before streaming you.
Millennia
Yeah.
Interviewer/Moderator
Wow.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
And so now you guys, he really.
Millennia
Worked his way to make those goals actively. And so I'm very like, go with the flow and kind of thing. So sometimes we'll clash in that sense.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Millennia
And you know the fact that the other. The other thing that.
Chiclet
That sounds like the way it's supposed to go, though, right?
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
I come up with the goal. You go with the flow. I have the flow.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
That works.
Interviewer/Moderator
That.
Chiclet
I'll say the biggest thing is of working together is not knowing how to separate work from the relationship.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Millennia
That's what I was going to say.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
I would say, do you.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Do you script your, like, your arguments.
David Arin
That you guys do?
Host (possibly Jay or David)
That's got to be scripted, right? Or is it. Did it happen and you replay it.
Chiclet
When we first started? Wasn't an argument. I would say something to turn it into, like, to see how she would respond.
David Arin
Okay.
Chiclet
Okay. I don't know.
Millennia
A little bit of both. It's a little both. Like, sometimes we'll play off of each other. We'll be like, we need to record that. We need to redo.
Chiclet
But it wouldn't be an argument, though.
Millennia
Yeah.
Chiclet
Like, usually when we playing it off each other, we'll just be funny and then we'll turn it into like. Yeah, you got to be mad at that. Like that one. You got to be like, why would I do some. Like that? Even, like, sometimes she'll say some shit.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
And I'll take like, okay, that. I'll be that person.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Gotcha.
Chiclet
You know, to go with the.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
I like it. So you like you. You change the roles based on, like, what you got. Sometimes you're the good guy, sometimes bad cop. Good cop. Like, you gotta play into it.
Chiclet
We try not to do that as much anymore, though.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, I get that.
Chiclet
It's like, oh, what about like.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
So I think one thing that's really hard in managing work and then money and now money's flowing in is like. Is a couple. Like, how would you guys have hard, fast rules on how you manage money, how you manage expenses? Do you guys do your own, like, individual accounting strategies?
Chiclet
Spend your shit. Just make sure.
Millennia
Spend that money.
Chiclet
Just make sure you take that shit with you. We're really not good at it because.
Millennia
Because of that.
Chiclet
Mine is more. I'll take care of this part. So we saying, like, podcast. If I start a podcast, I'll take care of this part. And she'll come on.
Interviewer/Moderator
Ding.
Chiclet
But then Malaya will buy the table, the sofas, and, like, the decor.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
You know, then she'll take care of the. She'll like the.
Millennia
And I'll take care of the. How it looks.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Gotcha.
Chiclet
So we'll spend a lot on dumb shit and then be like, okay, what happened?
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Does money ever become, like, a point of tension in your relationship?
Chiclet
For me, never.
Interviewer/Moderator
Wow.
Millennia
I don't think for me either.
Chiclet
I think the. The. The initiative will be me, would be me wanting her to be more mindful that I am spending the money on the. Like, I'm doing that. I think.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chiclet
Not really a problem. But just like, yo, just before you forget that cost this. Like, I don't want you ever think I'm not doing nothing?
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
Like, Or I'm. Oh, where'd your money go? I'm like, look, it wasn't on. Just gotta buy a lot of clothes.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah.
Chiclet
So, like, it wasn't just that. Look, I got this camera over here. You know, like, it wasn't that, but money for me. And, you know, I think you learned it too well. You kind of did know that already. Was like, I feel like if you stress money, then your mind keeps you away from it.
Interviewer/Moderator
I like that.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
What's one thing? And we'll start with you, Melania. What is one thing you overspend on and you know you overspend on it, and you're like, I'm not going to stop.
Millennia
I was going to say Amazon, but eating out for sure. Eating out.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Like, where's your favorite restaurant? Where's your favorite. Go to?
Millennia
I got, like, five of them.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Let's hear them go. Give us the rundown.
Millennia
Don't boil. But they're not bad, though, because, like, but then this is the thing. $50 for a family meal.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah.
Millennia
Isn't bad. But then you doing that every night.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, it adds up.
Millennia
That's what Sometimes a week.
Chiclet
Yeah, but we also ordered the meal before that, too. That's 50. Just for that one meal.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
All right. All right. Then you got breakfast, lunch, and dinner. How about you? What's one over?
Millennia
He's definitely got, like, overall, Uber.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
I get crushed on UberEats. All right, how about you? What is one thing you overspend on? You know, you overspend on it. You won't change.
Chiclet
Oh, I won't change the clothes.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Okay, what's the most expensive piece of.
David Arin
Clothing you've ever bought?
Chiclet
But that's the thing, though. I like 2,000, 3,000. What was it with clothing material counts and all? Oh, yeah, also like 20,025, but in our wedding.
Millennia
The wedding. The wedding. You can't, Jack. That was last year.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
How much. How much was the wedding?
Chiclet
Oh, honey. A little under 100, which wasn't bad.
Interviewer/Moderator
Did.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Did you guys have sponsorships for the wedding?
Chiclet
Nope.
Millennia
Well, we had. Yeah, I had sponsorships.
Chiclet
Not sponsorships. Well, people.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Brand partnerships.
Millennia
No, well, like, I collaborated with trade.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
But over 100 grand on the wedding. That's an expensive.
Chiclet
A little under. A little under.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
How many people were there?
Millennia
120.
Interviewer/Moderator
Okay, gotcha.
Millennia
Yeah, 127.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Chiclet
My is. It's not that I spend. Mine is a quantity thing. Okay, so it's not like I bought one shirt that was 3,000 even.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
You just buy a bunch of.
Chiclet
I just buy a bunch. And I won't stop, though.
Millennia
Yes, I'll buy the same thing. Like, he'll have, like, the, you know.
Chiclet
Many of these shorts I have at least. I bought at least 15.
Millennia
We have a habit. Well, not a habit. We're out of sight, out of mind, people.
Interviewer/Moderator
Y.
Millennia
And so if he can't see these shorts, well, he also won't look for them. Yeah, he would order them. And then I'm like, you know, you have like, two other pairs of this?
Chiclet
I do that. She wears the same sweater.
Millennia
No, not too much.
Chiclet
Should be dirty stain. Look, I'm like, why don't you just buy 10 of them and it'll all be clean.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
There you go. Do you guys see the arguments happen in real time. I'm telling you. That's why it's such good content. We're going to play a game. Okay, so one of our sponsors is Yubico. This Yubico Pasky. It's the original passkey. Undefeated since day one. Modern authentication, easy to use. Now, here's the questions we're going to ask. Hey. This protects against cyber security, and it keeps you safe. So My question to you. We'll start with you, Chicklet. Have you ever fallen for a fishing scheme where they fish you?
Chiclet
Yeah.
David Arin
Okay, what was it?
Interviewer/Moderator
Tell us.
Chiclet
It was.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
You said. That's so defeated.
Chiclet
You're, like, saying, I was almost twice.
Interviewer/Moderator
Okay.
Chiclet
But one of them, I think I was getting got. But it was only for, like, $2 every time.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Two bucks.
Millennia
That's not $2 every time.
Chiclet
Yeah, but it was like. I don't. I don't know how they didn't get more. Maybe they did. Maybe.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
Maybe my money isn't getting. Maybe I'm just being hacked this whole time.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah. Yeah.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Tupac says, the funniest fishing scam I've ever seen.
Chiclet
So what they do is they. I order a lot of stuff.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
So they'll send over a usps, okay, saying you have the wrong address. You got to pay $2 to fix the address, and we're not delivering it. And you go on this website that looks exactly like the USPS website.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yep.
Chiclet
And I'll just put the $2 in to change the address. And then I realized one time I didn't order anything.
Interviewer/Moderator
Okay.
Chiclet
And I got.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Two bucks later. You got screwed, bro.
Chiclet
This is like, five, six times.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Oh, so they got 10 bucks, but.
Chiclet
I'm putting my credit card information, so I don't understand why it didn't.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Oh, so then they got the credit.
Chiclet
Card, but I don't understand why they wasn't spending them on. Maybe they weren't. They was just. Nice.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Sounds like the worst fish room.
Millennia
They were like, we're good with the $2.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
I can't tell if this is a bit. Or he's like.
Chiclet
He's just, like, the best scammers ever. That's why I appreciate them. Okay, so when they. Sometimes here and there, I'll just give them another $2 because, like, it's just.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Cause, all right.
David Arin
Millennium.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Have you ever been fished?
Millennia
I don't think I have been fished.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
All right, I like that.
Chiclet
Good for you.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
All right, let's keep. Yeah, let's keep this yubikey going here about cyber security. I want to ask you, what is something that keeps you secure in who you are? Like, when you're losing insecurity or you're feeling insecure. What is something that keeps you secure? We'll start with you, Chicklet.
Chiclet
Oh, you know what I'm about to say, right?
Interviewer/Moderator
What's that?
Millennia
Me.
Chiclet
My wife.
Interviewer/Moderator
Oh, that's so sweet.
Millennia
I sent it to you in my head. That better be your answer.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
How about you? What's Up.
Chiclet
I can tell you this. I can tell you right now. It's not me. I'll be like, what the. You doing all right? I do, though.
Millennia
You do?
Chiclet
Actually, just the other day. What are you talking about? I'd be like, yo, I don't get you, Melane Cruz.
Millennia
Like, oh, yeah. Yeah, you did.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Okay, let's do this. Let's. So we're on the relationship side. What is one thing.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
You do to make your wife feel.
Chiclet
Secure or try stop liking other women's pictures.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
And to hope like that.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Oh, you're getting the look right now.
Chiclet
To make her feel secure.
Millennia
Shut up and give a bro answer. Don't.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
It's like a 247 bit.
Millennia
Don't give that answer.
Chiclet
He's just around talking about, I'll keep it stacking. It may sound. I was like, I buy her flowers. I know that may seem like, yeah. How does that make your wife feel secure? It makes her feel. I think that I'm being mindful that, oh, you need flowers.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
Here. I love you.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
Because, you know, for her, that's what it means.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
I love that. Letty. What is one thing you do?
Millennia
What I do is I compliment his jewelry.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Oh, shit. We did a rap battle before this, by the way. And he was busting on my white teeth being fake. So I had to say that. I said, that was a nice ring, but you got fake bling. It's not fake. I was just. Had to take a dick.
Chiclet
No.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
So I definitely made him feel insecure.
Chiclet
Now we're going back. I said to him, his teeth are really white.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
That's true.
Chiclet
And then he responded, you said my teeth are fake. I'm like, what?
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Which they are, by the way. It was a red.
Chiclet
Yeah.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Dr. Omar, Tampa Bay best doctor doctor.

Chiclet
Oh, I told you we broke.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Yeah, bro. You guys making millions?
Chiclet
Yeah, we spend it. That's what we got to tell you.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
So that's how you feel secure with your. Your. Your money. You spend it.
Chiclet
No, she looks at me.
Millennia
No, I put.
Chiclet
I put.
Millennia
I started doing what I started doing. I put. Because I To figure out. I want my money to make my money.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Of course.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Millennia
But I don't know what to invest in right now. And so instead of just like keeping it in my bank account and like, spending it that way, I've moved it to a high yield savings account for at least until I can.
Chiclet
Five months. She made $6.
Millennia
No, I didn't.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Now she could pay your $600.
Millennia
I made 600.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Let's go.
Chiclet
We did the math.
Millennia
No, make 200.
Chiclet
No, you don't. We did the math, bro. I'm making a year.
Millennia
I'm gonna pull my up right now.
Chiclet
4% on a year?
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
It's not 4% a month.
Millennia
Yeah, 4% a year. So I make like two bands with what I currently have. So divide that by 12.
Chiclet
Hold on. I'm gonna make sure I'm wrong. I wanna be wrong on this pod.
Millennia
Yeah, you're gonna be wrong.
David Arin
I told you, this happens in real time.
Millennia
He need to learn. But that's what I've been doing.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Making money on your money. Being smart.
Millennia
Yeah, yeah. Trying to be smarter at like and only.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
She's right.
Millennia
In a certain amount.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Yeah, she's right. What is something you do to feel secure with your financials?
Chiclet
I spend it.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
It's been okay. Hey, maybe that's it. Maybe you feel secure. So you've earned it. So you're spending it. That's a good.
Chiclet
I feel secure. Rocking what I'm rocking what you're doing. What I spent it on.
David Arin
I love it.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
All right, here's where we got to wrap with a trading secret. We learned about where Your career starting in dishwashing and making 3, 400 bucks a week. Now making hundreds of thousands of dollars. Millions. Tent.
Interviewer/Moderator
Right.
Chiclet
Not millions.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Not millions.
Interviewer/Moderator
Okay.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Hundreds of thousands.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yes.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Soon to be millions.
Chiclet
Yes.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
All right, but we gotta get a trading secret. It could be a life. Advice, financial advice, personal advice. Chiclet. We'll start with you. It's your trading secret. You can't read it in a textbook or learn from a professor. They can only hear.
Chiclet
Oh, so you don't want me to read what it says right there?
Host (possibly Jay or David)
No, no, ignore that.
Chiclet
Okay. Trading secret. Chicklet.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Q. Prompter.
Chiclet
Don't say that. By the way, if he was paying attention, I gave off multiple. But what's my favorite one? Damn. I got a bunch of these written. Actually, I actually told my chat to say this the other day. And this may not be a secret or anything, but I feel like people need to hear it. We're not perfect, but we great.
Interviewer/Moderator
Right?
Chiclet
Because I feel like people. It's either black or white. It's 100 or zero. There's no in between.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
So I feel like people don't notice that. Like, hey, we're not perfect, but you're still great. I feel like perfect to people means great.
Interviewer/Moderator
I like that.
Chiclet
You know? So I was just like, yo, we not perfect, but we are great. And yo, bro, no cap. My chat started writing it to each other. I was like, yo, say it in the mirror. Like, I was having, like, a deep talk with them.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
And people started DMing me like, Yo, I listened to you. I. I had the best stream ever. And it was like 2am and the person went on, and the other person was like, yo, I couldn't believe that. I don't think that's a trading secret, but I think that's something to help feel confident for the moment. Like. Yeah, don't be too harsh on yourself. I'm very harsh on myself.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
But being consistent.
Interviewer/Moderator
I like it.
Chiclet
Top tier.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
Best trading secret ever.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Don't be perfect.
David Arin
Be great.
Chiclet
Be great.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Be consistent.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah, like that. That's good.
Millennia
That was really good.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
It goes deep.
Interviewer/Moderator
All right.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
We need some Kleenex here.
Millennia
Mine. I think the tradest secret that I want to give is to believe in yourself that even when you. Even when it doesn't look like. Even when your life doesn't look the way you think it looks.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Millennia
To believe in yourself that it will look the way you want it to look.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
That's good.
Millennia
So it's all, like. It's all about the journey.
Chiclet
No, because I Love that. Because. Because it was all about the journey. You said it. What I tell people recently too was like, you think you're not getting the rewards you asked for because it doesn't look like what you asked for.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah. Yeah.
Chiclet
You know what I'm saying?
Interviewer/Moderator
I like that.
Chiclet
Like, they could keep sending you the. It's right in front of you, but it doesn't look the way you thought it would. So you keep ignoring it.
Interviewer/Moderator
Right.
Chiclet
And pushing it away.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Interesting sometimes, but it's right there was. You're getting deep now.
Chiclet
No, I like that drinking. I'm sober two years. I'd be aware of now. So I'll just be like intuitive with myself. Like, wait, why I feel this way? Wait, what's happening? Yo, you great. Like, you know, she'll tell you I'm harsh as hell on myself.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
So like saying that when I'm talking to my chat. I'm taking my own advice.
Interviewer/Moderator
Advice. Yeah.
Chiclet
He's like, I'm just speaking, but I'm like, oh, what I'm saying this fire.
Interviewer/Moderator
Right. Yeah.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Wait, one last question. Since you went sober, have you seen financially, professionally, personally, your life grow immediately.
Interviewer/Moderator
Wow.
Chiclet
I proposed. I don't think I would have proposed if I was still drinking.
Interviewer/Moderator
Wow.
Chiclet
I don't think I would have noticed. I think there was a decline happening with our content and stuff because I didn't care. He's like, ah, we just do it whenever we feel like.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
And you didn't care what you think. There's the alcohol.
Chiclet
Yeah, I didn't, I didn't notice that. I wasn't caring.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
You know what I'm saying? Like, I just wasn't aware.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Sure.
Chiclet
So I just didn't know what I didn't know. Just blind spots everywhere.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
I always. When. When it. Because right now, obviously sobriety is like a very trending topic. You've seen so many people do it and talk about the life changes. Do you think, like, was it. Was it getting ridiculous? Like, were you over consuming or was it just social?
Chiclet
No, like, how much were you?
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Like, it was.
Chiclet
Well, two things. I'm always social.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
So that was one.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
True.
Chiclet
But it was. Oh, I was. I was. I was Odin. It was becoming. It was just becoming my. I'm in this mood drink. Like any mood I was in is like, ah, it's time drink. You could be happy. Oh, yeah. I want to feel happier.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
Yeah.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Sad, mad, upset becomes like your.
David Arin
Your right hand.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
It was, it was, it was. It became that. It wasn't becoming that. It became that. And it was to a point, my body was like, please.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
And I have to listen.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
Okay. This is what we need to change. And, yeah, I saw changes immediately. Like, yeah, three months. The third month was the hardest month for me because it felt like, oh, I quit for so long already.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
That if it gets bad again, I could just stop again.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
But I didn't. I didn't go back, though, thank God. But that's where it became, like. Felt like somebody was trying to trick me.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
You know, like somebody in my mind.
Interviewer/Moderator
I know. Yeah.
Chiclet
You could just do it again. Go ahead, bro.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Yeah, it's like the good.
Chiclet
Yeah. You quit and I didn't. And I won't.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
That's my shit.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Malay, when he. Did you urge him? Did you push him to stop drinking? Or were you just there to support that?
Millennia
I was there to support that, but I was an enabler. Low key in the beginning.
Chiclet
She was pushing me to slow down.
Millennia
I was trying to help him find a balance.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Gotcha.
Millennia
But it became clear to me after, like, he goes, he'll quit and he'll drink again and he'll, like, start with beer and then drink wine. But then that turned into a bottle and then. And so I'm always about balance in life. But it became clear to me that he couldn't do that. That it was literally all or nothing for him. So when he was like, I'm quitting. Like, that's it. Like, for real. I was supporting him in it. Like, people would be like, oh, let's take shots. Like, chica, you could take a shot. I'm like, no, he can't.
Interviewer/Moderator
Like, good for you.
Millennia
Yeah.
Chiclet
Like, no, I knew I couldn't, though. I didn't want to, bro. So much good that came out of this that even, like, I just don't see the point anymore.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
Like, even if, like, oh, you could drink for a weekend. I'm like, you're good for what? Like, to be drunk. Like, I don't even like the person I was when I was drunk.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
I don't like the way I felt the day after. I don't even like, like, who is that I felt. Now I feel like I was being fake.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Interesting.
Chiclet
Because it was somebody else when I was drinking.
Interviewer/Moderator
Wow.
Chiclet
Whether it was just being more confident, it still wasn't me. Wasn't somebody else's. You know what I'm saying? So it's like, I felt fake and I don't like me.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
A little detached from yourself.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah. Yeah.
Chiclet
So now it's like, no lie When I first quit, we went to this Transformers red carpet.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
But after, there was like an after party.
Interviewer/Moderator
I'm like.
Chiclet
Huge. Directors are there.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
And I was just like, I didn't know how to talk to anybody.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Because you weren't. You didn't have alcohol.
Chiclet
I wasn't drinking. And I was like, there's no way. I can't do that. Mind you. In high school, after high school, I was. I was outgoing. So I'm here nervous, and I'm like, no way.
David Arin
You were using.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
You're using alcohol as a coping method, yo.
Chiclet
But it was so fire to just be in real time and witness that I was being pussy.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Chiclet
It was like, damn, I can't believe this. But it was dope to realize it because, bro, I used to have anxiety and depression, and I don't have none of that. I mean, I feel like we use anxiety too loosely and stuff. Like, oh, I'm nervous anxiety. So it just makes you more scared. Cause now you have anxiety. Now I just be like, yo, just. I'm scared. So what? Go.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
That's another great trading secret. This episode, we got trading secrets left, right? We learned all about your career, how you guys work as a couple, where you're going next, your goals, your dreams, things you've been through. It's huge. Where can everyone find everything you have going on? Oh, we got some. As we wrap this podcast, we got two guests here in the back.
Interviewer/Moderator
Come on through.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Let's go tell everyone where they could find you.
Chiclet
You can find me Chicklet HF on Twitch. Chicklet HF on everything. We got a YouTube channel, Millennium Chicklet.
Millennia
You can find me at Millennie Cruz on Instagram and Millennihf on TikTok and Millennie Cruz on Twitch.
David Arin
I love it.
Chiclet
Thank you. That's what we call ourselves. Familiar.
Interviewer/Moderator
Hell, yeah.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Well, thank you for being on this episode of TR Secrets. You guys killed it.
Millennia
Thank you.
Interviewer/Moderator
Bye, guys.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Ding, ding, ding.
David Arin
We are closing in the bell to the millennia and Chiclet episode. Lot of action. So funny. One of the funny, I think. I don't know. I don't remember laughing like this on a podcast in a while, but I got the one, the only David Arin.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
The curious Canadian with me. David, what you think?
Co-host or Guest Commentator
Oh, man. Energy. That guy's bouncing off the walls. I mean, hard to. I felt like I wasn't in the room, but hard to have a conversation with that guy and not go through all the emotions of, like, laughter and happiness. And also, like, you know, he get. He get he kind of prides himself in getting deep in the weeds and stuff, which, as you know, we love to. So I thought the conversation was great. I. I thought the freestyle. I don't know if you're gonna air it or not, but the freestyle that you guys did before recording was hilarious. Didn't know you had that in that in you, Jay. A little freestyle skills off the top of the dome there. It's pretty good. But, yeah, it was great. Great, you know, great banter and great chemistry, I think, between you guys in the group. Had you met them before or was that first time?
David Arin
That was.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
First time.
David Arin
No, no, no, no. Sorry. I mean, that was like when you said the freestyle thing. Like, I haven't done freestyle in a while, but back in high school, you know, me, Tico and Rob used to always do in a couple of the other guys, we would have a little freestyle battles. It was good stuff. But no, we. We work with them on the rewired side. They're an awesome couple. Obviously, it was the first time I, like, sat down and did a podcast type format with them, but this was all recorded in the Hamptons, which majority of our episodes lately have been. You guys have heard a lot of them lately. They've been popping, they've been ripping. They were the first episode I did that day. And so it was a great way to start it off, which put me in a beautiful mood for the rest of the. The rest of the episodes.
Co-host or Guest Commentator
Yeah, no, you could tell the. The energy was high. It makes sense. It was in the house. We've talked about that house that. That delivered all these podcasts for through Gary Vee, which was great, I gotta say. You know, in it was. Is. It is Chiclet just. Is he just the alpha in that relationship? Millennia just seemed like, so sweet. So, you know, so quiet. So, like, yeah, I'm gonna let him take the questions. And Chiclet, like, he's just in it, that guy. You could tell he just loves to.
Interviewer/Moderator
To.
Co-host or Guest Commentator
To talk about them and it and everything. So was that energy in the room that way too?
David Arin
I will tell you, anyone that follows them that's listening to this will say, david, go follow them.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
Because it's.
David Arin
She buries them in content. Like, she just like, like, absolutely crushes him in content. It's so funny. So I would say. I would say it's a good.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
It's a good even battle between the two.
Co-host or Guest Commentator
Yeah, no, I. I have. I have seen their content since the pod, and I'm always honest on this. I. I didn't know who they were prior. And to go back and watch their, their content, you could tell exactly how they were saying, like, oh, those arguments, they're not all scripted, that's for sure. Like, I could see how their arguments naturally occur based off of their energy and infectiousness and just like how like they just attack things and, and I thought the, the episode was really good. I mean, you know, I think my main takeaway for you, Jay, that I that a question that I want to ask is you're. You said you work with them on the rewired side. You know, obviously they talked about, you know, the wealth that they're starting to create for themselves through their content, which is just amazing to hear. But I don't think in 250 plus episodes we've ever have someone with the perception of how they manage or lack thereof, money and their kind of mindset towards it. And I have a couple quotes here that I'll, I'll draw, but I just want to hear from you. Were you like, are you guys crazy or were you guys like, you know what? I've never really thought about that way. What was your takeaway sitting that chair? Share.
David Arin
My biggest takeaway is like, we gotta have a follow up meeting to talk about some of this finance stuff because, you know, it. They're so open and so honest, which I love. And everything I do with finance is all on the basis of do not weaponize, you're not blamed, do not shame, do not criticize someone if they're not, if they don't have financial acumen or financial literacy because we weren't taught this stuff. No one was taught this stuff in the school system, which is our problem in the United States. So I never want to meet that with any type of criticism, but more of like, thank you for being open and honest. Now, like, let's set up a meeting and talk a little bit about how, how you can put yourself in a better position to win. And I actually really, really appreciate their vulnerability because it's that vulnerability that's going to connect with so many other people that listen to this podcast are gonna be like, I don't know either. And finally, someone that I find funny and entertaining like is opening up that door and showcasing like that I really don't know much. And I also want to say this, David, 250 episodes, you said that. The thing is, is I can't tell you how many times I have guests come on the podcast and before we record, they say, I don't know anything about finances. I know anything about accounting. I don't know anything about any of this stuff. Can you please, like, not bring it up and make me look, like, foolish, you know? Yeah, like, that happens all the time. It happened this past week with. I was up. I was interviewing Rachel Recky, which is coming on.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
She's like, I don't know anything about finance.
David Arin
I was like, that's not what we need.
Sponsor Voice
We just need to know that you don't know anything.
David Arin
That's what's going to relate to people.
Co-host or Guest Commentator
And it's so funny you say relating. And I, I related to this. Like, I thought that his, like, you asked him the how do you feel secure in your finance? He's like, I spend it. And he didn't say it in a way of, like, it kind of resonated in the way he said it. Like, no, I, I have it. I get it. I spend it. The reminders of, of what I'm able to buy and the fact that I can keep buying it, I'm not compromising my financial situation in my short term is a reminder to me to keep working hard and I've earned all these things and, you know, I have something to show for it. Which keeps him mot. Keeps him wanting more, you know, millennia was hilarious. But saying spend that, you can't take it with you. And I did. And I, And I did love the quote where he said, if you stress about money, your mind keeps you away from it. I thought that was really a powerful thing that. I think when he said it, I was like, God, that sounds like me in, in a little ways. But yeah, I just thought that their approach to that was refreshing and, and hilarious. Maybe it's. It's in a topic about financial management that shouldn't come across as funny, but that's also their brand and they're crushing and they're doing well and they seem really happy and secure with it.
Host (possibly Jay or David)
I think what's really cool is I've.
David Arin
Talked about this in my book Talk Money to Me, that when we hear savers, we immediately think good. When we hear spenders, we immediately think bad. And that is not the case because there are things from spenders like obviously we know both of them are, that will allow them to live certain lifestyles that are going, like you said, like the. When you're stressed about money, you're not going to be attracted to money. When you live in a scarcity mindset, you're going to make moves that are less risky. Like you're not going to treat yourself to the finer things that you've earned. So there are still so many positive to spenders and I think we could see that in the episode and we could also see like where a little bit of saving will continue to help them for their long term plan. But I just like when I think about this episode, I love their hilarity, but I love their honesty, man. I love their honesty about like where they've come from, how resources were limited, but like what they've done to build a brand from literally nothing but two creative brains, right? Like they just like two creative people that have learned from others around them saying like, hey, we could do this and they've done it and they're killing it.
Co-host or Guest Commentator
And at the end of the day, we always love to take takeaways that we learned and then takeaways. I hope people learned. And you cannot have an episode where he literally said his main employment for majority time was making $50 a day dishwashing and she was making $150 a week part time in a dance studio. And now they're making millions of dollars. So how so I do love a couple of the things that they shed light on. One is I loved when he was talking and he said he made the comparison of like being tired and working and like people who want to get in the content game, they, they don't do it because they come home from their job and they're tired, so they don't want to do the content. He's like, dude, don't you ever go to work tired? And I love the quote that he said. I love the quote. And he goes, have you ever been hungry and didn't eat? It's like, yeah, we've all done that a million times of our lives. It's just like the same thing. It's like, yeah, do it tired. I love that like slogan, like, do it tired. It relates to so many different things. Financially, career wise, getting in shape, eating healthy, like, like, do it tired. I just, I, I loved that and something that I'm gonna talk to my team about now that we're in training camp, my hockey team, like that do it tired is like, yeah, good. Like do it tired.
David Arin
I love that he gave a quote that you'll be able to like inspire the kids with because you're right. Like it's, you know, Nike, just do it. Now we got Chiclet. Do it tired. And that's so think about, you know, it's so funny that you said that. I've been trying to say to myself lately that tired is a mindset. I'm really tired. I've been traveling a lot.
Interviewer/Moderator
Right. I am.
David Arin
But I'm so sick of saying I'm tired and busy and in my brain I'm like, I need to stop saying the two words busy and tired because, like, who cares? Just get it done. Do what you got to do do. And if you're tired, sleep. Like what? I don't know. Just like, I don't know. There's something about mindset to it. There's a mindset. Like, overcome the mindset. Like, you're here, you're now doing this. So like, figure out your tiredness and busyness later. You're here now be current and get it done.
Co-host or Guest Commentator
You either can, you either can get over that hump by two things. Coffee, which is amazing. Or two, be tired and be busy. But understand that if you're tired because you're busy and the thing that you're busy and is doing something that is like, like providing for you and it keeps growing and you're busy because you're crushing it. It's like, yeah, good. I'm glad that I'm tired because I'm tired doing something great, rather than tired being lazy and doom scrolling in my coach all day with nothing to show for it.
David Arin
Yeah. Or like his example, you're tired from working, you're not tired from partying anymore. You know what I mean?
Co-host or Guest Commentator
Exactly.
David Arin
You're tired for making of yourself a better future, better life, not from, you know, getting going out late and doing drugs or too much alcohol and being hungover. So like, like, that's a beautiful form of tired. Like, that's another. I don't know. We've never talked about this on the podcast. I guess you're right. There's different forms of tired. Yeah, you know, it's like productive tired or like I'm a piece of tired. And this is productive tired. And like, that's a, that's a, that's a great, like, it's like a. After a good workout, when you're tired or sore, that's the best tired, right?
Co-host or Guest Commentator
100. I'm, I'm more tired this weekend, Labor Day weekend. Recording this because we had 85 kids move into the program. 160 families. We did training camp. We had orientation. You know, we moved them in. We got it all set up. Like, I'm, I'm tired. I, I haven't seen my son in three days. But I'm like, also motivated because I'm like, this is a reminder of why I do this. I was tired throughout the Summer, being a dad and, and having to go into work and ordering gear and apparel. But, like, that's boring. Tired. Like, now I'm like, tired. And I'm happy about it because, like, you see the fruits of your labor kind of come to fruition. So I loved that. I also, I don't. Something we haven't really touched on in this podcast. And it goes to kind of productivity is man in his trading seeker, when he opened up about getting sober, how it helped his career, it helped everything. And flashback to the start of the episode when he said, you know, when he got 350 in a free bottle of Club Experience, he was like, I made it. The quote that I'll. That I'll just say this with, and this is kind of the last thing that I'll bring up in the episode was how he felt fake looking back on being drunk, because he knew that being drunk wasn't him, him. Like, he had to get drunk to be a different person. That in that moment he thought he had to be to fit into certain situations. And I've never heard someone say like that, yeah, no, like, I felt fake. Like, I felt fake being drunk. And now he's like, I don't want to be that person. And I like the person that I am. So I don't want to get drunk because I don't want to feel fake because I'm so, like, happy and confident and clear sighted in who I am. I just thought that, like, terminology of it was so interesting and, and deep and inspiring and like, I'm like, like, you know that that stuff kind of hits sometimes.
David Arin
So that made like, when he said that, that made me want to be like, all right, I'm gonna take a couple months off of drinking 100. And I think about, like, go ahead.
Co-host or Guest Commentator
Yeah, for me, it's not so much my current life, but did that hit from like, college and like early adulthood when it's like, like, yeah, you're, you're drinking, you're blacking out because of some insecurity, or you're not comfortable or you feel like, I can't dance unless I get drunk. I can't go to a concert unless I get drunk. Like, I can't, like all those types of, like, I can't talk to girls. And it's like those types of things are like, he said that I'm like, oh, I've been there before.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
David Arin
So it was relatable.
Interviewer/Moderator
Yeah.
Co-host or Guest Commentator
And to hear him just crushing it now and how much happier he is, it's like, yeah, if we're not having those conversations with ourselves and each other. Like, yeah, we're not pushing each other to be better. So, yeah. 100.
David Arin
The two biggest things that have ever landed with me on the whole idea of sobriety is that comment here by Chiclet and then I think the one by John Mayer where he's like, I was partying so much. I had to say to myself, when it's all done and over, am I okay with this lifestyle? Like, I'm having fun, I'm partying. I'm, like, doing my thing and I enjoy it. But I will only be 60% of my max capacity, which is okay. Like, a lot of people do that. And I thought about it. Or I'm going to say, I'm done with this, and I'm going to be able to look back at my life and career, be like, I was at 100%. Like, I didn't. You know, and so that's why he went sober. And it was interesting, but really cool episode. I feel like in this recap, we didn't talk enough about Millennia. She is building an amazing brand. She is becoming a powerhouse in her space. She is absolutely hilarious. I think a lot of her stuff connects to women's empowerment in a way, too, which is really cool. And, like, their dynamic is beautiful. Like, they love each other so much, but they check each other, too. They're both independent brand players, but they work so well together. They both are fierce and mighty and like what they say and how they say it, but they treat each other with, like, such love and compassion and, like, it's a really, really cool dynamic to watch all the 360 sides of it.
Chiclet
It.
Co-host or Guest Commentator
I. I wish I was in the room when they first met at that one party, because you just probably would have been like, electricity. And. And the last thing I'll say about the POD is, is if you listen the first five minutes, especially me who listened for the first five minutes, and you freestyling and these people and those laughters and giggles and high energy, and I'm like, what the. What the hell am I getting myself into? Probably to come away with some of the deepest, deepest takeaways about perspective and life and productivity and. And I thought it was just a really, really unique episode. One truly one of the most unique episodes we've done because it really hit so many different facets and the energy in the room was. Was. Was amazing. So I love it. Great.
David Arin
Good stuff. Well, if you don't follow him, go give them a follow. I gotta recap the Week a little bit. It was a fun week, David. To give away this awesome ring with ring concierge. And the knot in New York City was like the coolest thing. The sweetest person in the world won it. And the whole time she was just shaking. I can't believe. Was such a cool experience. It's been fun to go to the US Open. Cheer on Jess Pula and dez. Both are two of the four hosts of the players box, a new podcast that rewired actually is behind producing which is top three in sports the week of their launch, which is really cool and just a lot of fun times. I'm in the Hamptons right now. I'm doing a dinner with yes Chef. If you don't follow Jack's dining room, go check him out. That's going to be cool. It's been a really, really fun week. I will tell you. I'm ready for summer to be over. Man, I loved this summer. It was one hell of a summ. But speaking of tired, I am both productively and socially tired.

Chicklet and Maleni — From Washing Dishes to Raking in Millions Creating Comedy as a Couple
Release Date: September 1, 2025
Host: Jason Tartick (Audioboom Studios)
Guests: Chicklet & Maleni (Comedy & Social Media Creators)
Theme: The couple’s journey from hustling odd jobs to building a massive social following, breaking down the money realities, business choices, relationship dynamics, and personal growth fueling their brand’s success.
Jason Tartick welcomes internet comedy duo and real-life couple Chicklet and Maleni to share the raw, behind-the-scenes story of their rise from small paychecks and everyday gigs to millions of followers and lucrative content deals. The episode navigates the vulnerabilities and mindset shifts that fueled their accidental entrepreneurship and explores how money, ambition, and authenticity shape their careers, relationship, and future goals.
1. You can start small and make it big, but the real growth is in mindset and perseverance.
2. Investing in yourself can mean doing it tired, staying consistent, and pushing through self-doubt.
3. Money will come and go—enjoy it, but if your dream is to secure your family and buy a house, stay focused.
4. Balance is hard, especially as a couple in business. Know your roles, play to your strengths, and communicate.
5. Success is enjoying the journey, appreciating the wins, and not beating yourself up over imperfection.
“We’re not perfect, but we’re great. Be consistent.” (40:10, Chicklet)
“Trust the journey... even when it doesn’t look like you imagined.” (41:09, Maleni)
For anyone who’s ever thought there’s no way out of the grind, this episode proves that small steps, hustle, and owning your authentic self can take you places you never dared dream—and sometimes, being tired is just the cost of getting there.
