All right, all right, all right. Welcome back. Guys being dudes, here it is, us three. All right, you know, listen, like poochie decided to take a vacation in the middle of everything. But the boys, we don't stop. There's no quit in us. And we're excited to jump on today. A lot to talk about, obviously, Rory winning the Masters. You got the NBA playoffs in the middle of this. Honestly, one of the best play ins I think they've ever had. And then of course, NFL draft season or NFL draft is literally next week. So we are doing an NFL mock first round live here with you guys. So, gents, Wingo, Bobby, how are we feeling today, boys?

Fired up. We're about a week out from the draft. You know, I know we talked about it before, all these mock drafts that we're seeing. And guys, guys, normally at the end of it only get about five or six right, if that. I'm ready to see some crazy trades. Guys get moved around a lot and these guys that are unheard of get to hear their names called and pretty cool stories behind them.

I'm super hyped as a Dolphins fan. Unfortunately, we live through the off season because that's the only time we can really sell hope. So super hype, super hyped to see what solely has in store, you know, his first draft for us. So I'm super hyped, man. We got a lot to talk about today.

100, 100%. And of course we'll pro. We'll spend a lot of time talking about the draft. But before we do that, all right, we're gonna kick it off a little differently. Usually we'll save due to the week for last, but today we are starting off with the cool cats dude of the week. It can't be anybody else but Rory McElroy. All right, Rory decided to go back to back after not being able to win the Masters ever. He is now the only the fourth person in PGA history to go back to back at the Masters. And to me, to be honest, what was crazy is that he didn't even feel like he had his best stuff, but he kind of survived the course. The course was playing tough all weekend long, you know, even when it got to a point where like, oh, is Roar gonna choke this? He held through, he held strong. So Rory's to me, an easy dude of the week. Impressive what he was able to do and, and yeah, it's extremely hard to go back to back at the Masters and he did it. So Rory going Back to back. Wingo, what are your thoughts?

Yeah, I had to go back and re watch what happened in 2011, and I watched the whole series on Netflix because I really wanted to know the backstory of Roy Macaron. I mean, this guy, this guy's been playing golf since he came out of the womb. I mean, he was, he went on the, the. The show that. I don't know what it was called, but was hitting golf balls into his mom's laundry mat. And, and, you know, it's cool to see, you know, how much adversity he's gone through. Everyone used to always say he chokes in the big time moments, but, you know, after that first round, you know, Roy normally struggles, right? So it was amazing to see. It almost looked like the weight was just lifted off his shoulders going into day one, day two, and day three, as if, you know, he already had won the Masters. Now it's like, let's just go out here and play golf. And I talked about it before, you know, he, he had the amazing speech last year when he talked about, you know, you, you have this goal in mind that you want to reach and you think that when you get there, right, all your problems are going to be solved. You're going to have this big gratification. But really, at the end of the day, you know, you get there and you realize it's. It's not right. You got to go to work the next day. You still got to go golf and play TPC in Jacksonville and you got to go play in the players and you got to do all these things. So, you know, he won last year and he didn't have that on him. Right. He showed up to the Masters again this year with the weight lifted off your shoulder, ready to just go out there and play an amazing round of golf. And he did that and he proved to why now, you know, he's in this conversation of, of. Of being one of the top golfers, 100% coming for a run at Scotty at number one.

And it's nice to see him coming back around because there for a while, he had a hot streak back in the day where he was considered the best golfer, and he kind of fell off and got in a slump or whatever you want to call it. So for him to get back to the top, especially and stay there is cool to see also. I mean, I did get a little nervous for him on day three, though. Day three.

Oh, I thought he was choking, too.

He was on. He was on course to set a record for like, or he had set a record for the biggest lead going into day three. And then he really fell off on day three, and Scotty was coming. I said, here we go. I'm about to get on David's ass. No, but day four, he logged in, and it felt like everyone else fell in the moment, and he just kind of separated himself. And, you know, that was awesome to see. And he truly deserved to win. It wasn't even a question. He really just did. He. And it was awesome, too. At the end, he got to, like, take his time, let it soak in. He hit his approach shot, and he walks across the green. He's like, holy shit, I'm going to win the Masters. It wasn't like last year. It was just him and a crowd, and he got to take his moment in, and it was very awesome to see 100.

And I think there's something to that. You know, the fact that he went on such. I mean, first of, he had never won the Masters. There's always that thing on the back on the weight on his shoulders. You see, you know, he had that early run where he was winning a ton of majors, and then, boom, it disappeared. He goes on an absolute cold drought majors. He loses to Bryson last year and then. Or two years ago, and. And so it's like, dude, is this guy ever just going to win another major? And then, boom, he wins the Masters. He gets that weight off his shoulders, grants the line completed, and now he's here doing it back to back. It's really impressive. And Rory, somebody, like, like you said, Wingo, like, he's going to give Scotty a run for that number one spot. It's like, Scotty. Scotty's obviously been the number one golfer in the world now, and it's, like, crazy when you look at, like, the Tiger record, like, how much longer he has to do it to approach that. But, like, Rory's right on his heels. Like, Rory's right there if Rory plays like this. And. And again, too. Like, Rory withdrew from the API a couple. A few weeks ago, right? Like, it's like, oh, this guy's probably injured if he plays the way he's playing at the Masters. Like, Scotty. Like, Rory. Rory's coming, man. Rory's coming.

He withdrew because he was taking the PJ over to Augusta to get some practice. I wish we would have known that so we could have thrown some bets on him.

I wish I would have known that as. Yeah, yeah.

To give Tiger credit, though, like, not to, like, get on his name too. Much and smear his name. But if Tiger was locked in, hadn't dealt with the off the field or off the course stuff, we should say, and hadn't had the back injury, there really is no telling where Tiger would be by now. Like, he truly did miss a lot of the problem of his life in golf and the things he could have accomplished because of other reasons. So. But that's history. That's the way it fell. So that's the way it is. So it's interesting to see if these guys can close that door.

The thing for me, though is, like, even with that Bobby, right, Like, Tiger, for me, is still clearing away the goat of golf. Like, I think these guys would. Like, Rory is now being considered, like, the conversation of him being the top European ever. But, like, Rory, like, I think, what is it still halfway to Tiger in terms of major count. Like, don't even get me started on the wins on tour. So, like. But I'm with you. Like, imagine, like, it literally would have been just impossible. Like, but who knows? But Rory, listen to give him his. His flowers. Like, I. He's definitely in the conversation for best European golfer. And truly, like, he's put himself in the conversation for, you know, maybe not Tiger level, but, like, top five is probably in the picture. Like, you know, you think of the names of golf as Jack Nicholas, Tiger Woods, Arnold Palmer. Like, Rory is going to be in that discussion. 100.

Yeah. And to your. And to your point, Jordan left the NBA all together. Come back. You know, no one even debates that. So, like, yeah, when. When you're that dude, you're that dude. People don't. He could have went and worked at Burger King. He went and played baseball, but Michael Jordan could have done whatever he wanted when he came back. Okay, you're back. Thank you. Take back over. You're the guy. It does not matter. So I. I do agree with that. The run that woods had can never be replicated. And you, yeah, you can't take that away. We all know that.

Incredible. Yeah, but listen. Incredible Masters. And there's another. You know, they. They. This PGA schedule is interesting because they're going from Masters right into another elevated event right now. RBC heritage. Like, Rory. Rory. Rory's not even playing in it. He's like, no, like, I'm not even gonna even worry about that tournament anymore. But. But, yeah, impressive stuff. Impressive stuff to stick in the golf world, though. Another massive story that was happening this week and feels like, almost, like, unresolved. Like, it feels a bit strange before they left it. And it is this live golf shutdown, right? There was a bunch of rumors, like, going around Twitter, like, oh, something big is about to happen to live. Something big's happening. Something big. And it's like, what? And then everyone's like, oh, the Saudis pulled outside and like, whoa, what. What the hell is going on? Like, is this done? And then all of a sudden, like. Like, at. At night, they're just like, no, yeah, we're. No, we're proceeding as scheduled. We're all good over here. And just, like, no one said a word. It's the strangest thing to me. I kind of want to get your thoughts on that. Do you think Liv can survive this, or do you think this is, like, maybe the last season we ever see of it?

I. I think the live may survive this, but I don't think the live survives for very long. I mean, I look at it, I have some, you know, personal experiences going to the PGA tournaments and go to a live tournament. I'm be honest with you. I did not have the best time at the live tournament.

They had the flashing lights and it was in Miami?

Yeah.

The level of talent just wasn't the same. The crowds were not the same. You know, you have, obviously your crowds around John Rom and Bryson and Brooks, and. And it's like, that. That was about it, right? You know, I. I got to see a few other golfers, which was cool, but, you know, when you go to a PGA tournament, you know, you have the respectable ones where you're quiet and you're enjoying it, and then you got the waste management where. Where. Where people are just going nuts and insane. And, you know, I. I think that's like, when you got the NFL and then you got the. The UFL and things like that. And I. I just really think nothing can compare to the pga, and Liv is trying to do something special. I. I just can see you Know, when it comes down to conversations with Bryson and Rahman, them. Right. You know, you can't compare winning a live tournament to winning a PGA tournament. So when you're trying to be the best of the best.

Why not compete with them on, on every weekend, day to day basis?

And nothing like beating the best. Like you said, like you can win live tournaments or whatever, but like if you're not competing at the highest level, beating the highest talent, it doesn't feel the same. Even as a competitor. Yeah, the check cash is all the same. But you know, in your heart as a competitor, this is not the same. So I do agree with that.

Yeah. And too. And also to like piggyback on that one in terms of. I've been to both as well and like the live tournament, like I had, I had fun, but it just felt weird. Like in the sense of like, I mean, the music's blaring, it just doesn't feel like real. Like you're watching. Yeah, exactly. Like that's what it feels like.

And the anticipation, the anticipation of it being amazing and you watching it or getting there, you're just like, you know, I don't know about this.

Yeah, exactly. It's not like, you mean it's not that fool. So like it's, it's just something weird. Like of course it's still cool to see guys like Ron and Bryson. Like, it's still sick. But like when you go to a PGA event, it just, it, I don't know, it just feels way different. Feels more professional. It feels more like you're actually at a professional sporting event as opposed to like, it just feels like when you go to live, it's like, I don't know, it just feels like second tier. And it sucks because there's so many guys on that tour that I really do love. Like again, I love Rom. I love Bryson. Like, I love when they compete in these majors that every, you know, the best of the best are actually fully competing. But you know, they made their choice and it's going to be curious to see what PGA does because like, if Liv doesn't survive and I'm kind of with you, I don't. I think he'll maybe survive this. I think this season will continue. Continue. But I don't know how much I think maybe we might not see it again next year. Like, you know what I mean? Like, I wouldn't be shocked, but I'm curious to see how the PGA is going to handle it because they gave the out to some of those guys right? This year, and only Brooks and Patrick Reed took it. Everybody else stayed. Granted, that was some of the dealing with contracts and things like that. But I'm curious how they're gonna handle, because obviously, the PGA is going to want Rom and Bryson back, but it's the other guys that took, you know, took these massive paychecks that, like, the PGA might just be like, no. Like, you're just not going to be able to join. So I'm very curious how that's going to go. I've heard rumors that if LIV were to shut down, they'd give. They'd, like, pair up with the DP World Tour, and the players can go that route to, you know, qualify and play on that tour. So we'll see. It's very interesting, but, yeah, it's. Oh, look at Poochie. Look at Poochie. Oh, my God. Poochie. Live from vacation.

Rory just. I mean, Tiger. There goes my hero. No, just that, like, I mean, Liv had a good run. Most things, when they try to compete with, like, like, anything to try to take the place of the major sport, it never works. And honestly, all said and done, I mean, Live was the most successful, I would say, like, they've made it the longest. They had a real product. They had a crazy buzz out the gate. Like, no one cares about the ufl. No one tries to watch it. They've tried to make separate NBA leagues and bypass college and all this stuff. They've tried to do so many things, and, like, no one's ever came close to ever doing it. This is the best attempt. They just had, like, endless money, which is probably the biggest holdback for most of these things.

Yeah.

But this was the best shot at it. It just. It didn't work either. But they did have the best shot, and they did the best, for sure.

Yeah. There's actually a really good point because, like, there. I mean, it happens all the time, right? You have these. It's happened in the NFL, right? The. The. Like, the UFL and all the these leagues. But Live is, like, realistically, probably been the most successful out of all them. That's actually a great, like, point. It really has. But it is, you know, because they've been able to pull these guys, like, right. Bryson and Ron, like, these guys making stupid money. Like, it's crazy. I mean, listen, like. Like, there's. There's a part of me that's like, of course. Like, I wish they all would have just stayed on the PGA tour competing week to week, but, like, who am I to tell a guy not to take a $400 million contract? Like, go get your money, man.

Like, if the UFL had a team in south Florida and they pulled Patrick Mahomes and Jamar Gibbs, we're going to that game Saturday.

Yeah.

So it's like 100. That's exactly. That's how simple it is. Like, that's how quickly the UFL could work. But that ain't gonna happen. But if they had the top 10 players in the NFL move to an. An alternate league, we'd be like, we gotta go see this backyard with the best in the business. Like, we are there. And. But it just didn't happen. So that. Yeah, it did work out for Liv a little bit. Because of that.

Well, really, honestly, the biggest issue. And it's. It's a pro and a con, because live really went the. The international route, right? They. They. They took the tour to places that the tour has never gone, right? Australia, obviously, Saudi Arabia. Taken, like, they've taken it to different places that the tour is all US Based, right outside of, you know, the open championship. And then they'll play some DP World tour stuff in Europe and Asia. But they. They really took advantage of the international audience. The issue with live is that realistically, obviously the U. S. Audience is the biggest of them all, and that's the one that you have to crack. And yeah, they did it better than most, but it's still like they could just never be able to compete with the pga. They've got too much. Too much ownage of it. So. So, yeah, we'll see how that goes. But with that, let's dive into the NBA playoffs. All right, we are fully underway, I think. And I said it kind of up. Oh, oh, Wingo. You know what? Screw my intro, Wingo. You're introing. Talk to us about the king. Can he do it?

So if you guys don't know, tomorrow the king is playing some basketball. And look, I'll tell you this. I'm watching Stephen A. Smith. I'm watching all talk about, you know, a 41 year old can't do this. You know, is Luca gonna play? You know, maybe you. He can get it done for one game, but to win a series, I'm. I'm tired of hearing that stuff. I'm tired of hearing that stuff because I'M I'm honestly, I'm a Michael Jordan fan and I'm always been on Michael Jordan's side. But, you know, this guy is 41 years old. He's still throwing it down like some of these, you know, 22 year olds and you know, his knowledge of the game. And honestly, you know, I don't really love regular season basketball. I honestly, I truly don't. Because you see, you're seeing the flops, you're seeing guys games, you're seeing, you're seeing, you know, blowouts and, and all these things when playoff basketball starts win that I'm parking myself on that couch with the, with a peanut butter sandwich and a glass of milk. Because, listen, you know, to watch these guys actually play physical, you know, the refs letting him play a little bit, to see, you know, a guy like LeBron running court to court, playing defense, turning all the way up in the regular season. So, you know, I'm pumped for, for playoff basketball. You're going to see a level of play from these guys that you haven't seen all year. You know, exciting, exciting to see the Thunder, right? What can they do after last year with the momentum that they have? You know, I love to see Wemby playing defense. You know, how can the freak have, you know, impact? Because that's something that creates mismatches and all these different things. But yeah, you know, with tomorrow, I'm excited to see LeBron play. And then obviously, you know, you can never leave out Steph Curry. That guy done tremendous.

I said last week, I. I'm not the most confident in Lakers right now. Clearly things are not. Look, I'm a Lakers fan, but I'm just keeping it real. I mean, you can't count out LeBron. But also, hey, the odds are against us right now. We're down two guys. Luca, clearly the heavy hitter of us. For us right now, Art was arguably playing the best basketball in the NBA. Like, it's not just like losing a guy, you're losing Luca. Like, that's, that's nothing to like, just shrug off. And then Austin Reeves, of course, I don't know if those guys are going to be ready or when they're going to be ready, but, dude, like Wingo said, never count out LeBron. If LeBron's gonna put that crown on for three games, I think he can do that. That's all he's got to do, you know, so that's where I'm going to be interested to see, like, does LeBron have to win a series? Does LeBron have to go into a second series? Like, when does he get his reinforcements back? And then how smooth does that chemistry come back together? Do they keep that rolling? So, a lot to be asked for, but, I mean, I'm all for it, obviously. If the Lakers can do it, let's do it.

Are we kidding? This is why I don't watch regular season basketball. I don't watch soccer. Get up off the. If he would have won that game, he would not be limping to the press conference. If he'd be in going into Game 3 of the NBA Finals, I guarantee you he's out there and he's not, you know, whining and everything like that. So that, that's the thing that just pisses me off sometimes of these basketball players, you know, who was it this past season that broke his finger and he was out for. For 20 games? Like, you guys are getting paid 40, $50 million dollars to fly out, watch you play. And they get there, they get their hot dog and their Coca Cola, and then they realize you're sitting on the bench in sweats.

Bobby, I need you to get, like, one of, like, the producer, like, the blah, blah, blah. But, like, it just says soft. Wingle calling you soft because, holy cow, Scorch, Earth. Wingo. I love it because I agree with you, by the way. I agree with you wholeheartedly. Especially in the regular season. I mean, it's. It's actually a joke what the NBA does sometimes with. With the. With the time management and, like, the, you know, guys taking weeks off and, you know, they're fine. Right. That would never happen in the NHL. All right. That's why the NHL, obviously, playoff hockey is generational, which is also starting up now, too, but the regular season is just as good because they go just as hard. But sticking with basketball. And I kind of want to touch on because I'm glad you brought up that game because the playing games have been actually insane.

But I feel like this one's, like, even extra. Maybe it's because, I mean, the Heat have been in the playing game four years in a row, and so I feel like the game that we just watched was, like, next level. I mean, obviously, lamello ball clown, you know, And I know there's a whole thing. Lavar ball. There's a whole war on Twitter between the. The term clown. The guys being dud, like, will like to certify le approve the clown label for lamelo ball. Thank you very much. But honestly, that game was insane. And then. And yeah, like, that game, the warriors game, like it. Steph Curry is back, baby. Like, I don't know, man.

It has a nice. It was a nice entry point into the actual playoff start. And so for me, I mean, like. Like, we talked about, right? The Thunder and the spurs, but, like, the. The east is the one that I'm just more curious about because, like, it really is almost anybody's game. And I'm just curious to see if, like, teams like the Cavs can finally get over that hump and see how Boston looks with Tatum fully back. Like, I don't know. I think it's going to be a war. And. And I'm excited for it. And in terms of the Lakers, to touch on that real quick, if LeBron. I'll tell you this right now.

But look, but Bronnie hits a three and this stadium is like as if they just hit a buzzer beater. So I'm. The headers are gonna be there. So I'm, I'm fired up for this freaking.

I think if you take the injury concerns out the picture, Jordan Tyson, his wide receiver one for me, but he has a huge list of injuries. He's basically been hurt since high school. Unless your name's Vega, of course. And then I think I'll pick you at 11 because I know what you are. Vega does not lack an anchor. He's an absolute plug and play guard. That's going to start for 10 years for me. So Fano people is going to be torn about that pick if he is the pick at 11, but I could see the vision if you're going to play him at guard. Cool.
