B
Gentlemen, start your.
C
All right, all right, all right. Welcome back, boys. Another episode. Guys being dudes, we are here Friday on the brink of an honestly in potentially insane sports weekend, right? We've got. We're definitely talking about the NBA Finals. One of the most insane games I have literally ever seen. NHL, Stanley Cups are in a hell of a series. World cup just kicked off. We got a big UFC fight this weekend. Like, there's a ton happening. And yeah, yeah, we are bringing it here Friday live, as we always do. Gentlemen. Wingo, Bobby. I don't know what the hell happening with Bobby right now, but there he is. How you boys doing?
B
Dude, listen real quick, just so y'
C
all know what happened?
B
I pulled my mic out because I always remember pooch saying, shout out to my boy, pooch. Can you. God damn it. Can you slide back and pull your mic to your face? And. And I did it. I freaking. I ripped my. I ri. My mic out of the. Right.
C
Hey, perfect timing. Kick off the show. Yeah. Oh, my God.
D
Well, how you doing, man? I'm fired up. I'm fired up. It's Friday, you know, been a busy week. Great week for sports. Honestly, when I look at, you know, NHL, I'm thinking the nights are just going to go crazy and right off into the sunset. Nope, Carolina's in it.
B
Let's go.
D
You know, the Knicks. What are we doing here? Spurs win. I'm thinking they're gonna win the other night. Nope. They come back by 29 and it's just. It's. It's nuts. And then I'm talking to people going to New York. You know, you got the World cup at MetLife and, you know, possible game in MSG as well. Like, we're not gonna have a city of New York in probably a month. It's going to be burned to the ground. World cup all around America. I can. Like, the signs for the watch parties are already just out on every single street. So I'M pumped up. I'm fired up. You know, football's getting closer. Everything's just starting to fall into place.
C
That. That's a great little quick transition before I toss it back to Bobby. Speaking of watch parties, we are hosting a watch party for today's USA Paraguay soccer game, World cup game at the studio. All right, 9:00pm is. Is the game time, but we're gonna have Wild fork on the grill beforehand, so come by tonight if you're in the Miami area. Stay down. Kilo Studios. We are hosting the first USA World cup match tonight.
D
Why the hell is this the first time I'm hearing about this?
B
Wingo, it's all over socials, dude. You work for the network.
C
Hey, well, Wingo, if you're free, dude, you gotta swing by.
D
I got a tea time at 11:40am tomorrow.
B
That's plenty time, sir. What the hell is that? That was a terrible excuse. I actually got something going on in three days from now.
C
Yeah. Wait, Bobby.
B
Bobby.
C
We go. Keep it rolling. I'll be right back in one second. Somebody's at my door.
D
Probably Amazon.
B
This is turning into a dive bar episode real quick.
D
This is just great. Yo, well, we can start off just with the Knick stuff. Let's talk about the game the other night, right? I. I turned it off at halftime. Up by 29. I'm thinking they're gonna, you know, that's it. And I get the messages from my boys, screenshots of Hard Rock and this and that. It's like 50 to win a thousand, a thousand to win 10,000. And I'm like, these guys actually threw the Knicks to come back and win, and they won.
B
And.
D
And I. I am just beyond, like, I have no words because it's just. It's insane of what they've done.
B
Yeah, I think, dude, honestly. And I don't want to take away from the Knicks. They absolutely are playing. They've been playing great basketball for three months now. They've lost one game in three months, but, like, maybe not quite that long. But you get my point. I don't want to take away from the Knicks, but more disappointed in the Spurs. Man, the spurs have just down their leg this series. Yeah, you got Wimby throws the ball off his teammates back in the closing seconds. Could have took that game. And then they're up. First of all, they're up 29. That's its own thing. But then even at the end of the game, dear Fox just has to dribble out the clock or get fouled. And he goes and tries to force a layup, gets blocked. I mean, did the spurs have just the age is finally showing up for the spurs and they're crumbling under pressure.
D
Yeah, I, let's not, let's not talk about Wy getting hit with a egg in the head. I don't know if everybody's seen that that video got or. First of all, why did you have an egg in the crowd of people outside the stadium? Like, where he had to have brought that with him the entire night, first of all. Second of all, props to Wemby though, because this, you know, this is where they talk about protecting athletes and making sure you know, everything they're safe. And you know, you could tell obviously he's pissed at losing the game. Two, he just got knocked in the dome in his bald head with an egg. So it's all slimy. And you know, he grabs one of his security guys, he's like, get off me. But like, he knew better. Like, that's a professional mindset.
B
Right.
D
He could have easily turned around and been like, oh, and then he would have been an even bigger meme.
B
Yeah. With six more eggs. Like, you already lost this battle.
C
Yeah. Get in the hotel.
B
It only gets worse from here, buddy.
D
I just, I wish I could find that guy to ask him like, did he just have that egg with him the entire watch party? Because like, where did you get it? Like, did you go to a store as the game ended and get it? Or was that your plan all along? Did you stumble across just a perfectly sat egg to chuck at Wimy?
C
I want to, I want to find that guy to, to have him back up Malik Willis because that was some dead.
B
He hit him on the, on the walk too.
C
He's like walking forward. He had to aim, like, aim ahead of. Dude, insane. But to go back to the game real quick, I'm. Bobby, I'm with you. I, I again, I don't want to take anything from the Knicks. One of the most insane comebacks and we'll definitely talk about it. But the, the spurs team is absolutely showing their age. I mean, blowing a 30 point lead in a must win game. Like at that point, you know, they're up 30 that you can see the like Wingo mentioned like all the gambling sites, right. They were shifting already the series price to spurs being the favor to win the series. Like this is my, this is by halftime. And then these guys go on and they score 30 points in the second half. 30 points. They scored 42 in the first quarter and they scored 30 points in the Second half, it was one of the most all time collapses. I mean, it is literally the. Almost the biggest collapse of all time. But then I also want to quickly shout out the Knicks because, man, what. That fourth quarter, those, like, final seven to eight minutes logged in, they could not miss. They were on fire. OJ And Anobi, absolutely insane. Jalen Brunson, it. It was a whole team effort. And. And they. Dude, I. I don't even know how they didn't just, like, if I was the coach, I might have been resting guys at this point. Like. Like, they're down 30 points. Like, all right, let's. Let's just pack it up, get ready for game five. Like, this team showed no quit. It was extremely impressive. And I actually still cannot believe it two days later.
B
Did y' all see the.
D
Taylor Swift was sitting courtside? We. We should have known something was up.
C
Rigged.
D
Now. Taylor Swift, like, what. What were we thinking?
B
Did y' all see the meme? They put the. The Atlanta Falcons logo in the spurs colors.
C
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It. I mean, dude, that. But it's crazy. Like, this is the word. And that's actually. Maybe that's even. That's a great debate. What collapse was worse? Like, which comeback was better? Was it this one or that? That. That the. The 28 to 3. Like, it's in the same realm, and it is so out there that you could even. I couldn't even fathom. Like, at one point I was, like, kind of having the game on in the background because I know this game's over. Let me just kind of do. Yeah. Finishing up something for work, and I'm like, oh, wait a second. Like, it's kind of. All right. 15 points.
D
All right.
C
And then boom. Lower 10, 8, 5. Like, are these guys gonna do this?
B
Like, what the hell's happening?
C
It was crazy. It was crazy.
D
Now the biggest question is, what can the spurs do next? Like, what do they do now? Like, your momentum is shot, your confidence is shot. What, do they still have another game at home? But, like, honestly, the. The fan base is probably like, you know, screw these guys. Like, this is just, you know, what could you possibly do to now, you know, have a chance in this series? And in my opinion, it's nothing. You know, you might as well rebuild the Statue of Liberty as Jalen Brunson at this point.
B
Oh, my God, dude. I think that was the. The back breaker for sure. And like David was saying, like, the odds were shifting everything. Like, we're coming out of this game. The spurs were built to as in these boys first half, it was going to be two. Two. I think it's, it's headed back to San Antonio, right?
D
Two.
B
Two headed back to San Antonio. Like, yeah, they were going to be in control. Like, they were going to like, fully change the momentum of this series. Instead, you got to be defeated. I mean, they broke their own backs. Like, I think it's over. And honestly, like, I'll say this just in case they do some miraculously, some miraculous way comeback. That would be the greatest redemption story in sports history. But I, I think they broke their own backs and I think it's over. The age is just showing up one too many times in this series for them. And they really crushed herself. That's the worst part about it is like they, they had every chance and they, they had full control of their own destiny there for a minute, and it's gone.
D
If they do that. Wendy better come to the press conference after winning with a, with a 12 pack of eggs and just start chucking them in.
B
Yeah, this is Paul Blart with the New York Times. Crap.
C
Yeah, I'm, I'm with you, by the way. Like, I, I just don't see how there's a way back for the Spurs. Like, I, I don't know how you can even wake up the next morning ready to go. Like, like, there's no way that you're thinking probably by halftime that you've got it wrap. You blow this insane lead. The, the. Just the. Everything that happened after the game, the obviously with the egg and, and just the, the way Madison Square Garden was like, they, there's no way. I mean, obviously they were feeling good, defeated. You can see in their press conference after the game, obviously. But, like, I don't know how these guys wake up for this next game and not feel like, man, like, all right, like a little down, maybe, maybe that's. There's the competitive switch. They're like, you know, maybe they're, they're more pissed in Game 5. They're going to come out hot. I just, I don't know. Like, I, I feel like they've, they've literally, they've shot on their leg too many times that I think there's just no overcoming this. Like, I think it's inevitable. I think, unfortunately, the Knicks, I mean, unless the Knicks would have to be on a generational collapse to even top the spurs collapse to let this one slip. But I just don't know how you overcome this. Like, this is, this is a game that, like, I think it just, it Just defeats you. Like, there's no way.
D
The NBA couldn't let that happen because with the Knicks winning, New York is already going to burn down to the ground. Like, I, I think I saw a video of like a Burger Fi getting just like torn down to pieces. Like, yeah, somebody was back there with the fryer throwing it. If they were to blow this lead, like, I, I don't think it would not be good for New York.
C
Well, we can talk about that because the New York, I mean, first off, the New York fans, we know how crazy are, but they've really ramped it up to a new level. Like this is this stretch of, of these three games. Like, obviously, you know all the fun stuff of after the game, they're like, ah, what was it like? Like my mayor is Muslim. Like my, my neighbor, whatever the hell. These guys are going crazy saying whatever they want on mics. But then like, once they lost it crossed into a whole different territory. People are getting jumped, stores are getting their glasses broken in. Like it's, it's like, it's insane. These people are insane. Like, like, I, I don't know. I, I, I'm with you. Like, if they were to blow this series, that city, we may never see it again. Like it is, it literally may just disappear. Like it'll just be removed from the map because that island's going to drown.
B
All right, well that's, Dude, I thought it was cool to see all the barricades they had. Like, basically around Madison Square Garden is an like a complete barricade. Like, you can't get in to the like immediate proximity of Madden Square Garden unless you're like, supposed to be there. Like you have to have a ticket or media credential to even get in around the building. So they're a little smart by that. But yeah, you can't stop people from acting up, all right. Especially in that city. There's so many different options. There's so many buildings. So
C
Madison Square Garden will be protected, but that city is gone like that. Actually it's the only thing left is going to be Madison Square Garden.
B
Oh my God. And then one cool thing though, that has just been consistent this whole time is, dude, Timothy is acting up.
D
What do you think? On courtside tickets all the way throughout.
C
Well, I'll tell you what, Wingo, I think, I don't know if you saw this, but I think it was yesterday he released an ad that now he's sponsored by Kalshi Kashi, whatever you pronounce it. I'll tell you What? I bet you cow she's probably spotting me paying for these seats now.
B
Dude, if I had to guess, if the Knicks aren't taking care of him at this point, that's.
C
I'm sure they are.
B
Yeah, dude, this guy is the dude. He's. Dude, he is the mojo. And he's like that nun lady when that one college made that run. You gotta have him there. If you don't and you lose that city will riot.
C
Yeah, so, like, but you. You would think, you would think that, Bobby, because, like, I. That's what I was thinking too. I'm like, assuming the Knicks probably just hooked him up because, like, whatever, but like, Spike Lee has been their most famous fan for years and years and years. And he was on the. The broadcast, the NBA Live show with like Shaq and all those guys and he was talking about that. I mean, he's. He's still buying all his tickets and he could have sold his. He's like, he's like, I could have sold my game three ticket and. And made up and made up all my like maybe the last 10 years worth of. Of season tickets. But. So, like, maybe that's just him joking around, but the fact that he has that option means that he's actually paying for it. So I wonder if like a D. SH or a Ben Stiller are paying for it. But it also wouldn't shock me if the Knicks are just like, dude, this guy. It's Timothy Shaolin. What are we gonna say? No?
B
Like, yeah, send him in there. So with. With Spike Lee being. I'm just talking here, but with Spike Lee being a season ticket holder, I think you get first rights to your seats for the playoffs, but you do gotta lock them in still. So him being a season ticket holder actually probably holds him back. Yeah, because he has to secure his spot because he owns those seats where like another. I'm not saying he is getting paid for or not, Timmy, but another person, if you want it to be a kind of like, keep him around or bring somebody in, you can take care of that. You can, you know, comp it.
C
Yeah. Well, I'll tell you what, he's definitely paying for the spurs tickets because he is traveling. Like he was there at game one and game two, both him and Ben Stiller. So there's no way San Antonio's letting him off the hook. But, you know, maybe the Knicks are.
D
It was cool to see the video of Ben when he was at MSG in 99. And then, you know, the other night just to see like 27 years. Like, I can't even imagine. I'm not even 27 years old. Like, but to imagine, like being somewhere and then being back 27 years later and having the same opportunities, just. It's just amazing.
C
Wingo just making me and Bobby feel old as hell, dude. The hell. But no, I. I agree. That's in. That's insane. And then it's also like. Like it's funny to see because Timmy, like, the fun. The fun thing about Timothy Chalamet is that he. I mean, you could tell he's obviously a diehard fan. Obviously Ben Stiller too, like you mentioned, like, he's been here for so long. Spike Lee's been here for so long, like, it's crazy. But Timmy, dude, Timmy's been getting after it, dude. After the games, he's like going top, like, top list of the fan. He's going crazy. Then he's like posting a story the next day.
B
Like.
C
Like a black screen, like fun time has had. Like, he's like hammered in and hungover every day. But he's liv. Listen, that's. That's the best part of being a fan, dude. Riding with your teams during the insane runs. And. And listen, I'm. I mean, I'm. I'm rooting for the spurs comeback, but, you know, it's impressive what the Knicks have done.
D
Hopefully we'll feel that way about the Dolphins one day.
C
Yeah, dude, I'll tell you what. I'm gonna make Timmy look like nothing if the Finns win a Super Bowl. I'll tell you that much myself. My celebration, I. It'll be the last episode of the show because I might spend the rest of my life in prison, dude. It's gonna be an insane.
B
I mean, I'll be.
D
I'll be loose.
C
Dude, that's just gonna be crazy.
B
It isn't awesome though. Like, he. He jumped in the crowd of people, like randomly after the game, like ripping off his clothes.
C
Yeah, crazy, crazy, crazy. So listen, gents, before we move on from the NBA, one final thing. Do you think the Knicks get it done in five or do you think the spurs have enough to at least force the game six going back to Madison Square Garden?
D
I think we got to go to game six. They can't win it in San Antonio. Come on. They gotta. They gotta give them one. So that drag it on a little bit and you know, economically it looks good having it back. When it's at SMG or msg, it's like, you gotta do it. So I think it goes to game six yeah, it has to.
B
Well, I will say this. If you're trying to save your city, it might be good news if they win it out of state, if anything's gonna help a little bit, which it won't because they're still going to come out the streets. But yeah, maybe that's good news. I'm interested to see what spurs team shows up after this because I really feel like they're deflated at this point. So I, I wouldn't be surprised if they just roll over, but I could be wrong. We shall see.
C
Yeah. Yeah. I'm kind of with you, Bobby. I, I'm obviously, I'm very curious to see what team comes out, but I have, I have, I just have this feeling like they're just going to roll over. Like I feel like there's no fight left. But this. Listen, they're, they're obviously they're the youngest team in the league. They're. They're a young core. Like maybe they, they prove us all wrong and they're just like, nah, like one game isn't going to define us and come out hot. Game five. Because realistically like, you know, obviously you win this game, I mean you gotta for at any point the next two, two of the three are going to be at home. So if you can just force a game seven. Oh boy, the Knicks are gonna be. Then you flip the momentum. You know what I mean? Like the Knicks are going to be the ones with all the pressure because right now, I mean obviously San Antonio has all the pressure. They got to win one game at least. But that would be crazy. That would be crazy.
D
And I will say this, this was my prediction, was the spurs. The spurs beaten old SGA and then the Knicks winning it all.
C
That. That is true. That.
B
That is true. We go did have ultra rare Wingo dub. Yeah.
C
Wait, Wingo, are you gonna become like, are you gonna. I know you're an ant guy now but like is OG or Brunson anyone making any leeway or are you still sticking with Anthony?
B
I like it.
D
I don't know. Jalen Brunson is cool but he, I don't know.
B
He.
D
He doesn't show his personality as much. He does sometimes, but he's very dialed in. He does thing which is respectful.
C
He's low key.
D
Yeah. Which is respect. But you know, ah, no, I'm more like Timothy would, if anything would be my, my player on the Knicks.
C
I'm with you. I'm with you. Yeah. I'm about to, I'm about to change the dude of the Week to.
B
You know what?
C
Screw it. Cosmo Tire. Cool Cat dude of the week was
D
going to be OG Anomi.
C
It's Timothy Chalamet. We're bringing it back. Timothy Shout My Cool Cat dude of the Week. We're not. I don't. He is. He's the Knicks team. He is. Like, Wingo said, six man of the year. Timmy is that guy. He's our guy. Cool cat. Due to the week, we're skipping to that segment real quick.
D
And Jalen Brunson might have to be the new Statue of Liberty in New York.
B
Hold on, hold on. Production's coming in. They're pissed. It's. They got OG Graphics ready.
D
I saw. I saw the.
C
All right, fine. Play them.
B
Dude. Pooch is in my ear right now. You know how much I sacrificed the.
D
There. There was a video that came out. I think it was on espn. And they were asking guys after the game, like, well, what's gonna happen if the Knicks, you know, win it all? What are they gonna do? And someone goes, the Statue of Liberty's gonna get pregnant,
C
Dude. I'm telling you, man, that. Oh, my God, that city. And then what's crazy. And we can kind of go into. I know it's not technically next on the. On the list, but it kind of is a transition in the sense of. There is so much happening in New York. Kind of like you alluded to earlier, Wingo, like, right when this series ends, there are some of the biggest World cup games happening in New York, including the final. New York might not be there by the time the final, so they might have to move it because, well, I guess it's in Jersey, so. You know what I mean? Like, MetLife is technically a Jersey. New York claimed. But. But, yeah, crazy, crazy times. But with that, let's move on. We're gonna. We're. We'll circle back to the NHL. But I do want to touch on the World cup because it did kickoff yesterday.
B
All right?
C
We had two games. First one was Mexico versus South Africa, which was just kind of a weird, crazy game. There are three red cards in that game. Nice little start to the World Cup. And then last night is Korea versus the Czech Republic, which is just fun. Like, when you, like, if you watch, like, soccer, you. You're just only a fan during the World cup, getting the chance to, like. I mean, I'm just, like, in bed watching Czech Republic versus Korea, and I'm kind of locked in. It's fun to see all the, you know, all these countries that. That it's like, I mean you obviously know, I'd hope but like it, you know, you didn't know that they had sports like this and they're on this, this level and they're on our national TV and then they're all enough because we're hosting it. So it's pretty cool. And then obviously tonight the USA kicks it off, so we'll touch on there. All right. USA versus Paraguay tonight. I think it's in Cal, I think it's in LA. I'm almost positive. 9:00pm Like I mentioned, watch Party of Safety Fuel Studios. Gentlemen, can the USA or will the USA get it done tonight?
D
I think they get it done right, But I'm gonna, I'm gonna backtrack a little bit, right, just to see these games at the World cup. Especially for Americans. I will say as well, like I got Stone in my group chats and we're sending the video of Mexico City when they were throwing the hats and they were seeing these stadiums just like fil never before, right. And I gotta throw some shade. One of the games coming up is gonna be in MetLife and I guarantee you some of these Jet fans and some of these players might go to that game and be like wow, this is what it looks like to have a packed out stadium and this type of energy like that. Those are the things that it's bringing to America. And obviously football games are elite and I'm a football guy through and through but you know, college football is better than NFL football crowd and atmosphere wise world in soccer trumps everything. And I'm really excited to see these atmospheres. And you know I've been seeing the American tick tocks about USA and hype videos and I know our team is the underdogs but I'll tell you what, I watch a couple of these tick tock videos of the usa, you know, walking out the tunnel and Free Bird playing. I'm freaking fired up.
C
Hell yeah. Hell yeah. Wingo. And that's it is a really good point because like soccer fans are potentially the most insane out of all of them. Like even if you just not even count the World cup, some of the things that they're doing it they're like setting stadiums on fire for like just like. And they're st. They're sitting in it like they're like ah. Like waving flares around. Like their, their energy is unmatched and, and bring obviously what the World cup brings out of people. Like you mentioned, like the energy that's going to be at these venues is going to Be something that a lot of people have not seen before. Like, this is going to be insane. And I love. I love seeing those. Those things. It's fun. And it's again, like, America's like, soccer isn't. Isn't a top sport for us, which is why it'd be hilarious if we win it, because then it's really like the last infinity stone we've got left. But
D
I would be in, like, listen, Speedo running down.
C
Yeah.
D
Running down A1A to the elbow room.
B
What crazy is. Think about this. How crazy that would be crazy. But imagine this. So we're just kind of talking about how New York City is going to get burned to the ground because the finals. The finals of the World cup is also at MetLife Stadium. Yes. Yes. Wingo. I didn't know that there might not be anything left in this area. Yeah, literally thought this out or didn't, but, like, this is not good. Evacuate the city.
C
Yeah, they thought it out. They're gonna. When. When New York City burns down after the Knicks final. The. The New Jersey's gonna join them after. After MetLife blows up after the finale.
D
Like, I really thought about flying to New York just to, like, be a part of the atmosphere, but now it's like, I don't even feel safe.
B
Like, I don't even want to go
D
anymore because, like, dude, someone's, like, talking to you and, like, you want to say something, but, like, there's like 10,000 people. It's like one wrong move here, and you are transed of freaking just nutty fans. And I just. And I want to be part of it.
C
Dude, Wingle, we're gonna. We're gonna send you to New York and just put you in a Heat Giannis jersey when that happens.
B
I was talking about going to the
D
Heat jersey, and then I saw the. There was like, a huge crowd of Knicks fans, the one spurs guy, and like 10 cops with barricades surrounding him. And I'm just like, this is nuts. I. I can't believe it.
C
It's crazy.
B
Imagine being that guy. Why did you just showed up, dude.
D
Take the jersey. Like, my mom knew when we played Tennessee in Knoxville, when she was walking back to the car, she took her Wingo jersey off.
B
She's not dumb. Like, she's not and all that. And that wasn't because they hated the Gators. They hated Wingo.
D
Little bit of both.
C
I love it. Oh, my God.
B
No, the thing is, like, yeah, we do know that it is the way that it is, but, like, you should. Your Team is in the finals, you should be able to go watch your favorite team, wear your jersey, wear your foam finger and not get your ass kicked and your jersey ripped off your back. Like, come on. But hey, this is sports. But that's.
D
That is.
B
That is the shitty part of the culture of sports is like, dude, let people enjoy their team. Yeah. They already lost. Let them go home.
C
Facts, facts, facts, facts. Somehow we went back to the NBA finals while talking about.
B
I love New York's gonna burn down. Dude, this town needs to hero.
C
Yes, exactly. But yeah, I'm really hoping. Listen, I. I think the USA is going to get it done tonight. I think they're. They're here to make a statement. Now, I don't know how far they're going to go, but they should at least get out. I mean, not at least. They better get out of this group. All right, it starts tonight with Paraguay. I'm gonna go. A little prediction here. I'm gonna say two, zero, usa. Nice little shutout. Nice little comfortable win. Get the momentum rolling, and we're gonna dominate the rest of the way.
B
Yeah, I think. I definitely think we're gonna get out of the gates hot. I'm not gonna consider us losing for a good little bit. You know, I definitely think we're gonna get out of this group. We're gonna run things in this group. Now, once we get past that. Yeah, we'll start actually analyzing and looking into these teams because. Let's go.
C
You got one.
D
Oh, I've had this baby.
B
I'm ready to rock.
C
Let's go, dude. Wingo, I better see you at the. I'm gonna send you the info for the watch party. I better see you tonight, Wingo.
D
Yeah, send it to me. I'm getting fired.
C
Love it. Love it. All right, cool, cool, cool.
D
Any.
C
Any last things before I move on to the NHL. Any last World cup thoughts? They. Most of the games obviously haven't started yet. I'm sure starting next week, we'll have a full week's worth of. Of crazy games, hopefully. And some more World cup coverage, especially because it's going to start in Miami. I think the first Miami game is next Thursday. I think I could be wrong, but I think it's next Thursday.
D
No shot.
C
Yeah. No. And. And again, you can't even. The last row of the Colombia Portugal game is going for like $4,000. It feels like the NBA Finals. It's crazy.
D
It's like, I've always wanted to experience that, like, I wanted soccer game, but it's like. Yeah, I can't justify going the same thing for the national championship. I can't justify going to the freaking Hard Rock Stadium sitting all the way at the top to watch it. Like, if it was any other stadium, I might, because I've never really been there before. Like, Allegiant Stadium in Vegas or like Sofi or like, something like that. Maybe I would think about it, but Hard Rock? Ah, come on.
B
And, dude, the tickets are so bad. I was talking to a guy the other day from Argentina, and he is literally driving to, I think Kansas City or Missouri or whatever. He's like, we're going there and we're not even going to the game. Like, it's just crazy. The price is like, what? Yeah, it's like, I don't know. But that shows you how bad it is, though. Like, maybe they're already planning on being there. Obviously, it's a great barbecue in that area, so that's not a bad place to be.
C
Maybe scouting or something.
B
We're not even going to be able to go to the game because the tickets are stupid.
D
I wonder what the prices compare to in other countries. Like, when the World cup has been in other places. Like, what those prices look like. I am curious.
C
I know I saw a comparison of the last one. I think they were showing it at some point during one of the games yesterday. And I mean, it was pretty staggering. I think the average ticket price, I, I, these numbers are definitely off, but I think it was in this range. It was like the average ticket price across the board is like 1200 or so dollars. And the LA. 4 years ago When I was in Qatar, it was like 300 bucks, like average. You know what I mean? So it is a massive jump. It's a massive jump.
D
Second mortgage to go to the game.
C
Yeah, exactly, exactly. So I'm hoping, I'm, I'm hope, I'm hoping something comes up. I hope, I'm hoping tomorrow I win the lottery and I can go to one of these games. But right now it's not looking, it's not looking like that, but it is.
D
When in doubt, watch out the elbow room.
C
Yeah. Well, we go. No matter what. We're linking up for one of these games. I'll tell you that.
B
What we're doing's doing anything he can to avoid the fact that you're having a watch party. Anywhere but with you, dude.
C
All right, we go. This one's gonna, I'm gonna give you that, the head start. All right, we got, we've got this. We got tonight's at the studio, Right? If you can make it, great. If you can't, listen. All good. I'll see at the Elbow Room. So next week, the next game on Friday, we're doing it at the Flanagans in Sunrise. All right. So it's closer to your territory. Wingo. You better not have an excuse.
D
What about the 25th?
C
That one. I know we're doing Fritz and France and the Gables for the Colombia Portugal game, but I don't know about the 25th yet.
D
All right,
C
all right, cool, cool. Let's. Let's jump in to the other finals that are happening at the same time. And by the way, an also unreal series. This is the Stanley Cup, Carolina versus Vegas.
B
Now, y' all want to respect it, okay. Like it counts. Oh, okay.
C
Oh, it always counted, Bobby. Unless Carolina wins. Okay? If Carolina wins this weekend, it's not even going to be on the starting five.
B
David had to go.
C
Well, I know that's because the show runs through me. It's all good. I get everything that says pause are on me. But, you know, sometimes. Sometimes you got to do what you got to do. But we fit it in there and we're fitting it in.
B
Today we had former NBA, one of the best college battle players of all time on the show, and David thinks it was about him. That's cute.
C
The best part was is that that Shadow Grave is fan because he's. That guy is the absolute man that he just. After we did, like, 45 minutes of NBA talk, and then he just. He. He just. Just stayed with us and, like, would just, like, like pitch in every now and then and then. I don't know. He's just hilarious and he is.
B
He's awesome, dude. Yeah, he really is just a good addition because he's one of the boys. Like, he. He always said, dudes being dudes, man. This is what it's about.
D
He's the best. Definitely.
C
Yeah. 100. But anyway, so Stanley Cup Carolina up three, two. All right. Heading into game six. Three of these. Three of the five games have gone into overtime. This series has been down, bro. Yeah, it's been crazy. Gents, can Vegas force a game seven against Carolina team? That. It. It's. It's. They're gelling a bit now. They're. They're starting. I mean, they're. They've won the. Obviously they won back to back. Are they going to close it out game six, or are we going to get the best two words in sports? A game seven?
D
Look, when they. When they came back four to zero in Game three. That's when the entire momentum shifted. Like when I tell you I was watching the game, 4 0. I turned it off, and then it was like, 4, 2. I kind of clicked it back on. I was like, oh. And then they scored the three goals in 36 seconds. Another one that tied up to go to OT and then won it. I was. I was going nuts. And then, you know, you go to Game 5, right? They kind of come back again. They had another opportunity to win it. The Knights ended up kind of coming away with it, or maybe that was game four. But, you know, it's been up and down. I really thought the. The Knights were going to kind of just ride off in the sunset same way I thought, you know, the Knicks were. But, you know, Carolina is finding a way to play together. They're starting to play together, starting to move the puck. They're starting to move it around the ice very, very well. Less turnovers. They look like they're playing complete. And honestly, it looks like they're not as worn down as Vegas. Like, they're rotating in very well. Their lines are coming in, their legs look fresh, and these guys look like they want it. I think Vegas was almost getting complacent, right? They thought they had it in the bag, and they were just. And now they just look dead tired. I mean, you look at it, how do you. How do you let somebody come back zero to four? Like, how do you even do that?
C
You know, you're.
D
You got to be letting something off the gas. And. And for them to do that, it's just the momentum is shifting the ball at this point where the puck, shall I say, is in Carolina.
B
Yeah, Carolina's looking good, man. I think that. Huh?
C
No, no, go.
B
Oh, my bad.
C
I was gonna say, as a resident Carolinian.
B
Yeah, for sure. I think. Look, I. The.
D
The.
B
The series has been absolutely drunk. It's almost been backwards the entire time. What?
C
He's from North Carolina.
B
Why is this dude always trying to turp when I'm talking? This is always chirping in, like. Like, I gotta deal with him, like, already on Tuesday nights. And they tries to come over here, it's like, dude. Anyways, back to the winning side. I try to tell you boys when this all started, how this is gonna go down, but, you know, and then I tried to even say that this series isn't over last week when it was going the other way and Wingo was like, oh, don't try to tell me that it counted the same the first game, even though you lost you felt like you won. Who FL like a winner now? Wingo,
D
it's even over.
B
It's not over, but history says. I seen a stat last night this made me think about this. I think it's like 65 to 75% of teams that go up 32 in the NHL win the series. It's like an insane number. But look, last night was the first time a team has took control early, kept control, and finished. So I feel like the Canes got it. Will it go to seven? Maybe. But I feel like the Canes have it. I feel like they're hitting their strides. They've dodged the bad juju. They overcame it, and now they're going to finish it and bring it on back to Carolina. Speechless.
C
Look, I was waiting.
B
I was waiting to.
C
Someone said anything. I. I've got. I've got. I've got nothing, too. I'm really just banking on Vegas forcing game seven. I listen, these are two obviously very good teams. The way that this series has gone, I fully expect a game 7 at this point because like Bobby said, this series is drunk. Like, the only way to make this series even better is a game seven. And obviously we. We witnessed what the, you know, the Panthers did in game seven two years ago. Game Sevens are obviously across sports, both basketball, baseball, and hockey. Two best words in sports. So all I can ask is that Vegas, please extend it to seven and then rip out Bobby's heart in game seven, because that's the ideal scenario. Awesome. Awesome. Well, with that, with that, we did the dude of the week, Tim the Chalamet, not og and then we're gonna go to our debate of the week, which we're getting a little. A little summer vibe. All right, we're right in the middle of summer. Summer ramping up. We are going to debate, is it better pool or beach day? All right, Kicking it off with Bobby hit us, dude.
B
I've been waiting for this one. Honestly, I didn't know I was waiting for it until I seen the run of show and I said, this is the one, dude. I can't stand the beach. I like being on the beach. And that's it. When you go to leave the beach and the beach comes with you and you'll find sand places that work. Like, how did the sand make it this far? It's like you'll find sand in your bathroom and you were out of state at the beach. It's like, what the hell is going on here? Like, sand. The beach is the worst. The pool, you go, you have fun. It's clean. When you're ready to leave, you just dry off and you roll the beach. It's just too much of a. It's a commitment. You got to go to the beach, you got to find a parking spot. You got to go out, you got to set it up. You're sweating like a dog. Your wife's got you out there. You chasing kids. She's getting tan. It's like, dude, no. The beach is trash. The beach is trash.
C
Wingo, go for it.
D
I'm with you. I'm with you 100%. Every time.
B
He agreed with me.
D
Every time you go to the beach, it is a mission, right? You want to pack snacks and food, and then it's hot, you got to set up, and then you lay down for five minutes, it's too hot. Can we go in the water? It's like. Is too much. And then, you know, you're trying to get the sand off and it's stuck to you. Just, you know, I got a little kiddie pool blown up outside, and I'm more than happy for a little bit and then just hop out. So I'm. I'm all for the pool over the beach.
C
Damn. This is going to be a clean sweep because I'm also a pool guy. I'm a pool over beach guy. Couple reasons. One, like, you guys mentioned, and like Anakin Skywalker always says, I hate sand. I. I can't stand it. And then also, like, I like fresh water over salt water, an under. Another underrated fact. I'd rather be in a freshwater pool than the saltwater ocean. So I am a pool over beach guy. I know Andre is not here, so I'm going to be Andre, because Andre is going to say the beach. Andre is a beach guy.
B
I was going to say Andre is probably a beach guy.
C
Yeah, Andre is a beach guy. But this is a clean, sweet boys, that we are all team pool. Because, like, I'm looking at. I'm looking at the pool right now, and I might have to jump in after this because it's just so much easier, too. Like, it's just the best. I'm a pool guy, dude.
B
And you mentioned something that I didn't even think about. And this might even be up towards the top for me. The fact that I don't have to worry about any given second, a damn shark could rip me in half. Dude, the pool is so much better. Dude, look. Yeah. Will you get by a shark? Probably not. But you definitely don't have to worry about your childhood fear coming true in A pool. It's just. Dude, it's so much better.
D
And Bobby, you don't even know right now. In South Florida, we have this massive. Just.
B
Oh, the seaweed.
D
Seaweed just all around the whole coast and it just smells and it's nasty. It's bringing, like, wildlife and little animals around. It's just. I don't have that problem in the pool. Maybe I just get the skimmer because a little, you know, something got in there. Just get it out and I'm good to go.
C
Yeah.
B
The other. The funny thing I seen a tourist actually, is that you could tell they were just like rednecks from the middle of Arkansas or something. And they were like, I feel like we got jipped. We come all the way down here to Miami, spend our hard earned money. I can't even get in the damn water. You can damn swim in it. It's a mess. Seaweed as far as you can see.
C
You know what's great? One, one last, like, kind of lo back to the World Cup. It has been great seeing all these different fans from, like, even like different countries having to come to America. Like, or even the players, like the guy Yamin, I don't know how to pronounce his name, from Spain out there shopping at Walmart like, like he's going from. From Spain, from Madrid, Spain, to shopping to Walmart in Kansas City. It's fun to see all these. All these, like, Europeans or people from other countries and even people from across the States traveling to, you know, other cities because of the World cup and, and being like, either one, loving it or two, like, what is this place? Like, what is.
B
What is America?
C
It's incredible. Incredible. But. All right, gents, that is today's show rundown for today. Any last words before we do a sign off, Bobby Wingo? Oh, actually, you know what, before we sign off, one last thing are you guys excited for? I'm not a huge UFC guy. Like, I'll watch UFC when there's big events and stuff. There is a massive UFC event this Sunday. Will you guys be tuning in? And are you guys even UFC guys?
D
Absolutely. Conor McGregor is. Is the all time, like, entertainer, right? To be able to watch him. Definitely. He's been out of the game for so long. Coming back, you know, it's at the White House, so it's like, you know, this is gonna be.
C
Is McGregor playing in this one? Is he fighting us?
B
Yeah.
C
Is he? I had no idea. Yeah.
D
Wow.
B
David brought up the topic, like, I don't know if y' all really know ufc. But like, yeah,
C
I said I'm not a UFC guy. First off.
B
I said that. Let me tell you what's going on in the world.
C
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
D
To watch Conor McGregor. I think the last time we fought was when his like, ankle snapped and like, it's the famous thing was like your lives was in me dms. He's just like an all time great guy to watch and entertainer even while he's fighting. And then after leading up to it with the press conferences and everything that he does, to be able to see that and then it being at the White House, I can only imagine, you know, what he's gonna do and you know, he's got a reputation, so he'll, he'll definitely uphold, you know, the expectations for, for his show and entertainment for that.
B
Yeah. Say what you want about Connor, he is the absolute showman entertainer. Like, you can hate the guy. You're gonna show up though. Maybe you're showing up to see him get his teeth kicked in, but you're gonna show up like he's, he's a pool for sure. He, he brings tickets and people to the crowd and it's. Yeah, it's always entertaining. You always watch Connor because you never know what the hell you're going to see.
D
He might get knocked out by Max Holloway and he's gonna go right to the mic and be like, I'm gonna go back to my Lamborghini yacht while all of you guys go back to, to work tomorrow.
C
He's a top three trash talker across all sports. Right? Like, he's just got to be like, he's, he's an all time press conference through fight performer. Like, he just is. And that's someone. Again, I'm not, I'm not. I don't follow the UFC that closely. I watch fights here and there's. I do know I've watched a lot of Conor McGregor fights and just honestly, his press conference clips are generational. So I will be at least trying to tune in this Sunday and it's at the White House, which is. It's crazy. It's gonna be a crazy, you know, show. So I'll be watching.
B
Hell yeah. Hell yeah.
C
All right, gents. Well, with that we will call it a Friday. A lot of sports to watch Game seven tomorrow, I think. Game six, I guess tomorrow also White House fight on Sunday, World cup throughout the entire weekend. All right, so thank you guys for tuning in. As always, subscribe to the YouTube channel. Wherever you're tuning in, whether it's Twitter or YouTube. Hit that subscribe button, it helps us a lot, helps us grow. And yeah, we're gonna keep them running. Awesome summer. Oh, what is. I can't. One minute. It's true, though. It's true.
B
That's incredible, dude.
C
I mean, New York is going to be on watch on Saturday, I'll tell you that much. We are going to be tuning into to New York live streams as much as we're going to be tuning into the Spurs Knicks game. So, gents, let's have a great weekend. See everybody next time.
B
Gentlemen, start.
D
It.
