That night at her apartment, the two took tequila shots, played games, and were watching a movie when there was an interruption. Lauren’s brother, Lakeem Jetter, knocked at the door looking to collect his clothes. Lauren then stepped away to give him a basket containing what he was looking for. she stepped outside to give her brother, Lakeem Jetter, a basket of his clothes. According to the incident report, Before returning to the living room area, Lauren went to the bathroom for about 10 minutes. When she returned to the couch, she fell asleep during the movie that they were watching. Matthew then claims that he picked Lauren up and carried her to her bed. He then laid down beside her and fell asleep as well. At around 3 am, Matthew says that he woke up to use the bathroom and saw that Lauren was still asleep and snoring. Matthew wouldn’t wake up for another 3 hours. When he did, he discovered something tragic.
