When you have a village man, generations change and lives are transformed. The best we can, we try to facilitate those opportunities for them to create those experiences at various levels while talking about your emotions, but also talking about that inner child.
My favorite part of group therapy, which I think you're talking about, Frances, is that connection. Connection is so important, you know, Those who are struggling with eating disorders, other struggles and challenges as well, often face isolation and feeling very alone. And so that group therapy atmosphere can actually bring those folks together and have a sense of belonging.

This season I'm joined by an inspiring lineup of mental health professionals, experts and survivors. Together we'll explore the benefits of peer therapy, the emotional terrain of a cancer diagnosis, the comforting presence of end of life doulas, the resilience of those who have navigated ptsd, and so much more.

And one of the questions I often get is, why don't survivors disclose? Or why don't survivors seek services? And I also learned if you don't like the question, change the question. Right? The question is more about what is it about us that doesn't allow survivors to seek services, that doesn't allow survivors to disclose?
From a biological perspective, as you're saying, the fight, flight and freeze response is a very powerful response. And so on paper, it makes sense to want to avoid that. But what happens in PTSD is people avoid it so much that they kind of get trapped there. And you find that people's worlds get smaller and smaller, right, because the avoidance gets more and more generalized. And that's where those beliefs come in. So I think about trauma as this lightning bolt that comes down and impacts.
The way you view the world.
