this episode is sponsored by Bondwell Bistro Bulls. Life is busy right now. As a podcaster who works from home and a mom to Charlie, my days are non stop recording episodes, prepping for the show, answering emails and chasing after a baby. So when lunchtime rolls around I need something easy and convenient that I can grab quickly and still enjoy. Honestly, most days I have like less than 25 minutes for the entire lunch process, deciding what to eat, making it, and actually sitting down before jumping back into work. Every day of the week looks different. Some days I'm recording podcasts and other days I'm working while watching Charlie and on the weekends I'm just craving something different. But what's consistent is having a lunch that gives me a moment to reset and fuel for the rest of the day. That's why I've been loving Bondwell Bistro Bowls. They are delicious. They're ready made salads that are such an easy meal solution. They come with a fork which is perfect when I'm eating at my desk between recordings. They are protein packed, they're made with fresh ingredients and they are full of craveable dressings and toppings. Plus there's a wide variety of delicious plant rich bowls. So lunch never gets boring. Bondwell Bistro Bowls are ready for your lunch break wherever you are, no matter what your day brings. Find bondable bistro bowls at your local retailer or learn more at Bistro Bowls Us. Eat well, be well, bond well.

Welcome back to two Judgy Girls. This is Mary from the bay and
Courtnee
it's Courtnee from la. And ahoy. We are diving headfirst into Hulu's Love Overboard, where a group of sexy singles boards a luxury yacht looking for love. But not everyone gets full access to the glam life as Topsiders and Downsiders compete for love with the winners getting a 100k trip around the world. Talk about a bingeable show that knows how to do cliffhangers. We were hooked from episode one and now, now we are joined by a few of the stars from the show. Please welcome Bella Lowe and Lexi. Hi, ladies.
Mary
We're so happy to be here with you guys and to get a little judgy.
Courtnee
You feel me?
Podcast Host/Interviewer
I feel you.
Mary
Judgment.
Courtnee
It's fine.
Podcast Host/Interviewer
I mean, at least we're honest about it, right? Okay, let's kick it off. Bella, you were very upset. To be a downside or to start. What was the worst part of it for you?
Bella Lowe
I think it's like the concept of cleaning on vacation. Like, I'm so sorry, is that like foreign to anybody? Like, I never want to clean on vacation. I clean, like, every single time. I, you know, live my everyday life where I'm at work. I have a job where I clean up after people. So being in that moment, I'm like, yeah, I don't want to clean on vacation. But
Podcast Host/Interviewer
you thought you were signing up for something different, like a luxury vacation on a yacht. Come to find out you're working on the yacht.
Bella Lowe
Yeah, definitely bamboozled me a little bit,
Acast Host
as y' all can see.
Bella Lowe
But we just, you know, you'll see more.
Mary
Okay.
Courtnee
Low, you and David were kind of the mom and dad of the group right away and probably the most in sync of everyone. Then he went on a date with Val and everything kind of changed. Rudely, he made you stand on that plank for 45 minutes.
Mary
Was that not the rudest thing? Like, my hair sweated out, My legs are hurting. This is ridiculous. Like, they put you in a life jacket. No, I was incensed by that. Like, actually incensed that they made me wear a life jacket. Yeah.
Courtnee
Can you take us through your thoughts there of, like, was happening? Like, your connection was so quick, so fast. Talk us through all of that.
Mary
Yeah. So, I mean, there were a lot of emotions involved. One thing I'll tell you guys, and I don't know if viewers will see the switch or not, but when I'm up there, honestly, it probably only took about five minutes before I was like, I don't really care what this man's going to say. Like, I'm fucking out of here. Like, regardless. And I think that, like, you said, we're connected. So I don't know if it was, like, telepathy or what, but I think he knew that, like, I already screwed up so bad, even if he didn't like me. Like, how would that night look? I think it would be 10 times more atrocious than I saw and heard that it was because I heard it was a shit show there. But, yeah, I was shocked. I was feeling sad. I was feeling confused. Like, I'm looking up and everyone's like, what's going on? Because something you guys might not know, but when you're up there on the top decks, you can't hear what's being said. So they're all, like, going like this. And you heard. Heard the. You heard my peanut gallery going crazy up there. So shout out to Michael guys for that.
Courtnee
Yeah. Have you guys talked since?
Mary
So what I'll say about that is right after the show, you know, it's kind of complicated, and I can elaborate in another time, but sometimes when you come off of something like that, like, I really just wanted some semblance of just, like, reality and just ask him, bro, what the Was that? Like, can you guys imagine all that happening? You get Plank. And I've never had, like, a cohesive conversation about, like, hey, like, what actually, like, was that? So I was more inclined to maybe be open to that type of conversation. But I think maybe, like, July, I, like, deleted his number. And then he's hit me up more recently, probably just to smooth things over to make himself feel better. But we did make great tv, so, I mean, that's pretty much all I got positive to say about that.
Courtnee
Good for you.
Mary
It was all for the best.
Lexi
I remember calling you guys mom and
Podcast Host/Interviewer
dad on the boat, too.
Mary
No, Everyone called us mom and dad. Like, literally. Yeah, it was crazy.
Courtnee
It was crazy.
Podcast Host/Interviewer
See, you were coupled up with Reese at first, and then James let it be known that he wanted to be with you. How did that make you feel? I felt the connection between you right away. And where do you guys stand now?
Lexi
Yeah. So, I mean, he let it be known right away. And I think that's the biggest choice of why I chose him was, who doesn't want a man? That's reassuring. Who doesn't want somebody that's like, hey, I want to be with you. It's you. Only he would let. He sat me down. I was like, it's either you or nobody. So I had that reassurance. I didn't get that necessarily from Reese on day one. And obviously, shows like this are moving really fast. You don't expect, oh, my God, somebody's gonna be eliminated day one. But you have to kind of think, like, what can I do more? What can I say more in order to, like, you know, really express how you're feeling? So, yeah, no. Me and James, right off the bat, I'm a lover girl at heart. That shows. Throughout the entire show, we were happy. And ultimately, like, he just called me right before this. Like, we talk, we're good. I wouldn't have wanted to do the experience with anyone else. We hold special place in each other's hearts, but we are not together. We are not actively dating. But can you be friends with your ex? I believe so.
Mary
He makes it so easy. James is, like, the sweetest you guys. And, like, watching him, even you and, like, Lexi, like, it was the best, like, watching you guys literally feel it through the screen the same way I felt it in real life.
Lexi
So thank you. We just kind of, like, fell for each other and wanted to, like, help everyone figure out their ways. So it was a really fun experience with him.
Courtnee
I mean, you ran off that plank for him.
Lexi
Can we please talk about, like. I can't. Like, I told everyone.
Mary
Okay, so then why did I have to wear a life jacket? Because I've had.
Lexi
No. I told him. I was like. I'm like, in my head. I told James. I was like, if it's like, whatever it is, I'm not going. I'm gonna stop them and be like, I'm doing my. My big one, wherever you wanna call it. I'm just not going. I'm gonna be like, you can't make me do something that I don't wanna do. So I was like, no. And then, I don't know. Love Blinds you love just like, I can. I can swim. I can fly. I could do anything. So I was like, my man, my man. And I just ran off that shit. I don't know. And then I hit the water. I was like, what did I just do? What did I do? Like, my bracelets broke off. Everything, like, is insane. I lost everything. I wore that. It was in that fall hurts. So I was like, in the name of love.
Bella Lowe
Yeah.
Nikayla Matthews Akome
How many feet is it?
Mary
40.
Lexi
It feels like you're, like, jumping off the Eiffel Tower. Like, it's insane.
Mary
When I tell you guys I got an impromptu saltwater enema that I did not consent to. That was the most shocking, like, part of getting planked. I was like, that was not the sensation I was thinking was going to occur. I was very, very cleaned out after that.
Courtnee
Oh, my gosh. Bella, what did you guys think as a cast? You see this plank, they're like, hey, by the way, this is how you get eliminated. Like, what was going through your mind when you were seeing that? And can you explain a little bit more for people who might not have seen the show yet, what the plank actually is?
Bella Lowe
So what it looks like on tv, it really is, like, that big. Like, I can't explain it. When it first came out, I remember being like, I'm not doing that. I don't know. I don't know who thinks I'm going to. I'm not doing that. Like, immediately, I said, it's not what I signed up for again. So I was just like, yeah, absolutely not. But it is so scary. There were people on that plank that I honestly couldn't. That when they were on it, I'm like. But, like, it felt like they were gonna die. Like, it literally felt like that. It was so, like, high stakes. It felt like. And then it just. Everybody all collectively watching them and waiting for this decision to be made. On top of it, I. I literally can't even put it into words.
Courtnee
Like, it.
Bella Lowe
Besides everything I just said, like, it is insane.
Courtnee
The water shoes were like, this is serious. Like, when I was watching everyone on that plank in their water shoes, I said, oh, God, we mean business.
Mary
Life jacket. It was all just.
Lexi
Did you see the divers ready to save lives down there? I'm like, what is going on? No, no, no. It was a funeral. I made people wear black one night because I was like, people are.
Mary
I remember that.
Podcast Host/Interviewer
I remember that.
Lexi
I was like, this is a funeral.
Mary
It was a funeral. And the sound. You guys are, like, hydraulic. But that is what.
Acast Host
Oh, my God.
Mary
I was up there so long, though. The weirdest thing, you guys, I, like, didn't give a shit about falling to the water. Like, you're like. I. Nerves had escaped me. My nerves got tired, too. They're like, we're out of here. We're begging at this point, babe. Let's. Let's get this over with.
Lexi
Everyone was pissed.
Mary
Yeah.
Bella Lowe
Low.
Podcast Host/Interviewer
The premise of the show, what did you think you signed up for versus what actually happened? You guys all enter the boat thinking you're all living in luxury, and come to find out there's a lot of stipulates. Can you kind of take people through that?
Mary
Yeah, for sure. I will say, and, girls, I don't know if you remember this, but when Gabby made the announcement that, like, some of you will be downstairs cleaning and working and the rest of you are coupled up will be upstairs, like, I literally just busted out laughing. I'm like, Gabby's so silly. She's always jokes. Like, I definitely was, like, confused. I was like, what? Excuse me, but mind you, your girl. I never went downside. Look, I don't know what it was, like, sweaty, nasty down there. I don't know if there was a bo. I don't know if there's food particles. I don't know. But I guess what I really thought, genuinely, was that was the premise, but minus the downside part of it. That was like, a huge curveball. I'm so glad that they didn't tell us till we got there. And all of our reactions are just, like, completely genuine because we were, like, just shocked. Shocked.
Podcast Host/Interviewer
Let's see. You chose to go downside when you were living the good life all for James.
Mary
My God.
Courtnee
This is what I'm telling you.
Lexi
You do dumb shit for love. Like, you're just kind of like, oh, like, thing that I would never do if I was, like, thinking straight. So that was a huge decision. And then we got screwed because we didn't win a challenge. Both of us were, I don't know, like, not in athletic. I don't know what happened. We just could not win. But luckily for love, so we didn't give a shit.
Courtnee
To be fair, though, it's okay that you didn't win because, I mean, low. We saw David. He needed the oxygen mask because he was trying real hard. And I was like, this woman is comforting this man, and he's gonna do that to her.
Lexi
Yeah, that was crazy.
Mary
I kind of forgot about that part. Like, I wrote sorry so hard.
Lexi
Also, even, like, everyone back.
Podcast Host/Interviewer
Yes.
Mary
Because he was embarrassed. I know. This man, he was, like, mortified that that was happening. And I just, like, I felt very protective over him. I just hope that Leia doesn't read. Like, I'm just, like, off rip. This is my man. Like, the first episode, I'm like, we're married. Sorry, Bella. Love you so much. He also, like, required that of me. He was very insecure, and he would ask me, you know, can you kiss me more in front of the other guys? Or, like, we would get in, like, the tiniest, minuscule argument. I think I called him annoying one time. And that night, he was like, do you think I'm annoying? Are you gonna, like, leave me, Like.
Podcast Host/Interviewer
And then this motherfucker left me.
Mary
Like, it's just beyond bizarre, you guys.
Courtnee
Beyond the audacity.
Mary
The audacity.
Courtnee
That's one thing men have.
Mary
One thing men have is audacity and insecurity. Oh, and to project on the big two. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. And, yeah, he bamboozled me. He fooled me. But, I mean, all of us. He fooled everyone. Like, everyone was like, what's actually happening? That's why the reactions on. When I was on the plank, everyone was like, this is pointless. Like, this is a suicide mission. I think Val even thought it was a suicide mission, so she had to pull out the reinforcement drive. We should have turned it around and
Lexi
put him on the plane.
Mary
Right.
Courtnee
Luckily, it did end well.
Mary
In that case, thank you, Jesus.
Courtnee
But would you say he was the biggest villain of the show, or do you think, like. Because Andrew was also leaning into the villain role for me.
Mary
Andrew. We really got to know him personally. As far as David, Andrew never pretended
Lexi
like he was somebody else and always acted like he felt. He was like, this is me, and this is what you're going to get.
Bella Lowe
He's super authentic. Yeah.
Mary
And on the contrary, David is just very inauthentic. I think he kind of just mirrors whoever he's with. Like, I agree. That's why, like, I love myself so much. I was like, oh, I like this man. I think it's because he was, like, mirroring me. I mean, he's a therapist, I think. So LinkedIn said some other things. I don't know. I think he's probably good at his job because Able to kind of, like, mirror even Bella Yalls conversation. Like, how he talked to you. He let you down, like, very easy. And just, like, I thought it was, like, sweet.
Bella Lowe
Didn't you? You? No, literally, I felt like I was talking to, like, yes.
Mary
I think that's actually. He can maybe use this to his advantage. Just being able to, like, mirror people in certain situations.
Courtnee
I love a good roast session.
Mary
And it's not. It's literally just a little saute. I mean, come on. He knows he deserves it, so it's fine. He'll be all right.
Podcast Host/Interviewer
How was Gabby as a host? Her commentary, her narrating was absolutely hysterical.
Lexi
Anything that comes out of her mouth, you know is gonna be good. Like, you are just ready to hear her make you laugh. And I think one of the biggest things is I wanted to be so excited to see her. I loved her. She was amazing. But every time she'd come out, it was bad news. It was always something that we did not want to hear. So as excited I was, I was like, oh, no. Like, I. I love you, but also, like, say something good. So she kind of made it like a running joke, which I love her for, is every time she came out, she was just kind of like, I know you don't wanna hear this, but, like, here I am. And so it made it funnier. It made it lighthearted. Even during the really, really, really tough
Bella Lowe
times, I felt like seeing her from a host perspective, of course, was there, you know, of just being like, oh, yeah, we are the contestants and you are the host. But I also felt a lot more, like, personal with her. She literally one time stopped production to give me a hug because you guys saw what I was going through, and she did, too. Okay. And so I just had so much respect from her from that point forward. I mean, I always did, like, I adore her, but, like, from that point forward, it felt a lot more personal. It wasn't just that, like, host, contestant relationship. I was like, you my girl, for real. I love you.
Podcast Host/Interviewer
Well, thank you so much, ladies. It was fun to chat with you.
Mary
Thank you so much.
Courtnee
We're gonna take a break, and we'll be right back.
Podcast Host/Interviewer
I'm always looking to be healthier, but the easiest way possible, possible and fit in my protein and fiber. And that's why I've been loving herobread. Every single day. I eat one of their bagels, put avocado on it, and it tastes so good. It is soft, it is fluffy, it is moist. It's not, like, dry and dense like other health breads. I also love their pastas. So much protein packed in. I gave it to Michael. He doesn't even know the difference. I'll make that, like, a turkey spaghetti pasta with it. And you would never guess all their stuff. It's zero to five grams, net carbs. There's zero sugar. It's super high in fiber and protein. I really feel like it sustains my energy and I'm still eating the food I love. It's just been such an easy swap in my life. Herobred fits in so seamlessly. They've got sliced bread, tortillas, bagels, buns. Everything you need to keep your favorite meals just with better macros. No compromises, just flavor. Herobred is offering 10% off your order, so go to Hero Co and use code Judgy at checkout. We are now joined by two of the men from Love Overboard, standouts from the start. It's Tim and James. Hi, guys.
Acast Host
Hi. How are you guys doing?
Courtnee
We're great, thank you. Okay, let's just get right into it. James, now, you did start the show off proudly shouting, I'm horny. Do you regret that intro?
Acast Host
No, only because you got to think the context of that scene. A lot of people were saying things before the cameras were on, so I was like, oh, we're all going to agree to be horny together because, like, we're in this together. But then when the cameras came on, everybody got shy, and I was like, wow, okay, that's what we're doing this season. I was like, okay. I felt that because that's what everyone was feeling. Like, this is crazy. Running a yacht in Malta, like, with hot singles, the girls.
Tim
I don't know, man. Speak for yourself.
Courtnee
You also made it known right away, like, lexi is my girl. You won that first Downsiders challenge to go on a date, and basically the rest was history. But what stood out to you about her?
Acast Host
Honestly, it was crazy because, like, it was like one of those movie scenes when I walked onto the boat, like, there's all these hot girls, but, like, it was like, slow mo. Like, all the girls moving out of the way. And, like, it was just her standing there, like, that's what it felt like. And I was like, whoa, this is, like, a weird feeling. Maybe that's the person supposed to, like, go to. So, like, obviously, I started a convo with her, but walking onto the boat, obviously everyone's gorgeous, but something about her was just like, slow mo. Just like magic mo. And I was like, oh, who's that?
Courtnee
Damn.
Acast Host
Like, that's for me. Like, they put this right here for me. And that's why I felt like in
Courtnee
that moment, by the end of the show, you guys professed your love for each other. Where do you stand today? And just know we did just speak with her.
Acast Host
I mean, I would say, obviously, we are on good terms. Like, I wish her nothing but the best. I think, obviously, transitioning back to normal life from living together for 247 to, like, she live in Miami and I live in LA. It's a little harder. And, like, communication is kind of harder when you're different time zones, different things, and life's going on. So it was, like, better at that moment to be like, okay, let's just part ways and, and see what happens after. But it was just harder to be like, we're in a relationship when we're barely talking. We have our own lives and it was overwhelming for us decompress back into normal life.
Podcast Host/Interviewer
Kim, right away you were thrown into a match ceremony and you and Enya ended up together. But then you set your sights on Gia. What was going through your head at the beginning of that ceremony?
Tim
What was going through my head at the beginning of the ceremony is I, I mean I was, I was looking at Anna when I, when I first walked on the boat. Like, she kind of caught my eye initially. I had a quick. I think the first girl I actually hugged was Gia, but I was the first guy to the back of the boat. So I was just like overstimulated. So I wasn't. It was hard to just kind of fully pay attention. And then when I got through kind of the crowd of girls, I ended up near Anna. So her and I actually got to have a conversation. And then ideally we got matched up for the toaster toss and obviously Anna's beautiful, super sweet girl felt like I had to go in for that. That make out scene, that was just, that felt necessary. But at the same time too, like it was the first day. So I was like, we're all here to explore everybody on the boat and like explore connections and just see who's most compatible. So obviously there was a conn off the bat with, with Anna, but I was, I was definitely very open after that.
Podcast Host/Interviewer
Talk us a little bit through your strategy of the game versus pursuing a potential love interest. You know, you're originally a topsider with Ena but you saw something in Gia which could have put your position at risk.
Tim
Yeah, I think it was more so just like I was just going to go for it, you know, like obviously she had, she had a connection with Beau and I had my eyes on her and I was like, I'm just going to put myself out there. That's the whole point of this show. And kind of whatever happens, happens. That's just kind of. I'm a big believer in like fate and destiny. So like, if it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out. At least I put myself out there and let her know how I felt. And thankfully, you know, it did work out. But as far as strategy, like, obviously I would prefer to be top side as much as possible. Like, I like the high life.
Mary
Yes.
Tim
I don't like it like being on the downside.
Courtnee
James doesn't. He stayed down there too Long.
Tim
But yeah, I also felt like if I. If I built, like a strong enough connection or there was a strong mutual connection, like, everything else is just going to work itself out. So that was just kind of my mindset. There wasn't honestly, a whole ton of strategy in my head. It was really just like, you know, hopefully find a person that you can actually see yourself building future with.
Courtnee
You guys were both in the final three pairings with David and Val. How did you feel about that? David Lowe, Val love triangle. And then his ultimate decision to stay with Valley.
Tim
I. I didn't like it. I was very close with David for the majority of it up until that point, and I lost a lot of respect for him after that. But as, like, time progressed, as I gave it some time, like when. As soon as it happened, and then, like, David and Val walked up to the top side after they were like a new couple. I remember just, like completely icing David and kind of death flaring him. Didn't say a word to him. And then after, like, a couple days, I cooled off and I was like, you know what? I'll have a conversation with him, try and understand his perspective on everything, because it's just like, give him the benefit of the doubt. We're all in this crazy environment together. I definitely didn't like how he. How he did low. That was. That was not cool. Asking. Asking her to be his girlfriend and then. And then doing what he did on his date. Yeah, I didn't have a lot of respect for that.
Courtnee
James, what about you?

I'm gonna start with. I'm a man of. You make your own decisions in life. That's your life you live. We're not here to make friends on this, on this yacht. Like, this is not a friendship show. Like, I get it. But there comes to a certain point where the thin line of you have to own your actions and own the bad things you're doing. And it came to a point where it's like, okay, I support your decisions, but now you're doing stuff where it's like you're justifying certain bad decisions. Okay, I can't support this now. It's like you're. You're digging yourself a hole and then trying to be like, oh, well, I did it because of this, and being really mysterious about why you're making certain decisions. Okay, I can't start, like, support this. And especially with how he did the girls, especially on the plank, obviously from the show. We're out there longer than what it's shown. This is very Long. Like, this is not a normal long. Like, we were out there for, like, damn near almost an hour, where it's like, okay, there's no way you're sitting up there really thinking about life and all this stuff in this moment right now. So that was the thin line of, you need to own up with what you're doing. And, like, you're doing both these women that are. Are amazing people. So wrong because you're like, oh, I need to really think about, like, no, be a man. Own up. Decide if that's not who you want, then send her home. Why would you leave these girls up here? To really embarrass them. It was, like, really embarrassing when it comes to how he was doing it. And, like, after that, I was like, bro, I was here for you. But now you're. We come to a point where it's, like, the one person that supported you. You're going against everything because I can't support you going forward after this.
Courtnee
You were on the final plank with him. I mean, both of you were. But were you surprised when that plank dropped for you and they stayed?
Acast Host
I was 100,000% surprised because the fact of the matter was, like, me losing to someone that did that the whole season was just like, wow. Especially everyone was like, oh, this is. James and Lexi are a perfect couple. But the fact that we had no boats and I go before him was like, yeah. That was like, okay, this is some crazy.
Courtnee
Both of you guys and your pairings. I thought you were definitely the final two. You falling?
Mary
I was like, wait, what?
Acast Host
That's who I was. I was in the water, like, trying to swim, and, like, what the. Why am I in this water right now?
Courtnee
And Lexi was right after you, too, right?
Acast Host
Yeah, because we're like. Especially on our boat. Our interview after, I was just speechless because I'm like, there's no way that I lost to somebody that was going through the show doing some crazy crap and, like, all that. There's no way I lost him. It's not real life.
Tim
That got. That got me and Gia nervous, too, because we watched that happen. We were like, holy shit. Like, if. If James and Lexi can go over right now, like, so can we. So, yeah, we were confident that it was going to be James and Lexi and me and Gia.
Podcast Host/Interviewer
I was, too. It was pretty shocking.
Tim
Yeah.
Podcast Host/Interviewer
Speaking of the plank, who would you say had, like, the funniest speech or the most shocking when they were on the plank to try to save themselves?
Tim
I think the craziest interaction that happened was when Anna and Sophia were up there with Andrew because all the planks that happened before that, we always assumed that, like, the two people on the plank were speaking to the person that was making the decision. We didn't realize anything's fair game up there. Like, you can talk to the other person on the other plank. So when Anna started going in on Sophia and calling her manipulative and just crazy, all of us were looking at each other like, oh, my God, like. Like, you can do this. Like, so it just brought, like, a whole different dynamic to the plank. So that was definitely the craziest for me.
Courtnee
Who are you guys closest to on the cast now, besides each other? Like, who else?
Acast Host
I would say I think the core four people that are really close is me, Lexi, Tim, and Gia. And everyone else is more, like, cordial. Like, we keep it because, like, we're still a cast and, like, important to each other, but, like, from a distance because. And cry, too, because we came together, we started the show together, and we had a different bond than other people. So it's a little different when it comes to outside. We still talk and have a group chat and, like, keep up with each other.
Podcast Host/Interviewer
Tim, let's talk a little bit about Gia. Where do you guys stand today? You won. Let's hear about the travels. It was so cute to see the pictures at the end. I want to hear about the trip around the world.
Tim
So funny enough, that was just a cute, funny, like, gag thing that we did at the end of the show, like, just with production. So we. So we still haven't taken the trip yet, but we're. We're planning on doing it, so we're super excited about it.
Podcast Host/Interviewer
Okay, so are you guys together? Tell us, what's the relationship status? I mean, you're taking a trip around the world. Is it just as friends?
Tim
A lot has happened. Obviously, a lot happened on the boat. A lot has happened since we're both living in la, but you're just gonna have to follow along and. And find out.
Courtnee
What a tease. What was the most fun experience for you guys? On the boat or off? I guess because there were a few dates that you got to go on, too.
Acast Host
Oh, dang. That's the crazy one. There's so much that happened. For me, personally, I would say the highlight was the day off the boat and getting, like, your own hotel room, like, the view. Especially, like, a special moment with your girls. It was just everything off camera, too. So it was just, like, enjoying each other's company rather than being like, oh, we're on Camera again. We have to like, be good. It was more like we're in a hotel room in Malta.
Tim
Like, it really felt like vacay to my memory. I forget a lot of the stuff that's happened because it's not. But there was one night where we're like, we were all off camera and it was, I think it was like the final five couples or something like that. And it was late at night and they were, they were pretty strict with obviously the alcohol and stuff, but there was like a couple bottles of wine that were left out, so. And we got a tv. So we were watching a bunch of reality tv. All of us were just sipping wine and like playing music. And that was. That was just like, really fun. It was just like a great, like camaraderie bonding moment with everybody. That was really fun.
Courtnee
Really quickly.
Podcast Host/Interviewer
So how often are we talking to Gia? Like, are we texting? Do we talk on the phone? When's the last time you saw Gia?
Tim
Very, very recently.
Acast Host
Okay.
Tim
Very, very recently.
Courtnee
We're keeping it vague. Okay. Okay. We have to watch Mary. We have to watch and see what happens. Is there anything that you guys would do differently? Any regrets or just something that you would have changed or was it like the perfect trip for you guys?
Acast Host
I would say it was like the perfect trip for me. I think for me sometimes I like go on the other side of like not being too worried about other people because I was like that person on the show to be like, people came to like their problems. So it's like if I was less that and taking everyone else's problems and focusing more on my relationship and my personal things happening, I feel like I would have done that different. Other than that, everything was amazing. Like the day, filming all day, every day. Like, it was so amazing with the cast that I had that everyone was so amazing to be with all every day.
Tim
Yeah, I. I wouldn't. I wouldn't change a thing. I'm like a big believer in just like everything happens how it should and like, I wouldn't ye. I wouldn't change. Think it. It was just a once in a lifetime experience. I met some amazing people, like lifelong friends. So, yeah, it was. It was pretty perfect. Like, not many people can say they spent a month in Malta on a yacht with other good looking people and, you know, having. Eating good food, drinking good wine. Like it was. It was amazing.
Courtnee
Yeah, casual.
Acast Host
Yeah, casual.
Tim
Nothing too crazy.

Two Judgey Girls — TJG BONUS: Judging with the Stars of Hulu's "Love Overboard"! Episode Date: March 31, 2026
In this lively bonus episode, Courtney (LA) and Mary (the Bay) “judge” with stars from Hulu’s hit reality show “Love Overboard.” The hosts dissect the show’s biggest twists, betrayals, and romances with cast members Bella Lowe, Lexi, Tim, and James. The group spills behind-the-scenes gossip, emotional truths, and plenty of shade—all with the trademark wit and candor that “Two Judgey Girls” fans love.
[03:34]
[04:14] — Bella Lowe
Bella laments starting as a Downsider:
"The concept of cleaning on vacation. Like, I'm so sorry, is that, like, foreign to anybody? ... I have a job where I clean up after people. So being in that moment, I'm like, yeah, I don't want to clean on vacation." — Bella ([04:24])
Felt “bamboozled”: the yacht wasn’t as advertised, with unexpected chores and uncomfortable surprises.
[05:07–10:15]
“Honestly, it probably only took about five minutes before I was like, I don't really care what this man's going to say. Like, I'm fucking out of here, like, regardless.” ([05:41])
“Love just like, I can. I can swim. I can fly. I could do anything. So I was like, my man, my man. And I just ran off that shit... My bracelets broke off. Everything, like, is insane. I lost everything.” ([08:49])
[07:21 – 15:41]
Lexi and James’ immediate spark:
“He sat me down. I was like, it's either you or nobody. So I had that reassurance.” — Lexi ([07:35])
“We hold special place in each others’ hearts... But can you be friends with your ex? I believe so.” ([07:35])
Mary reflects on her experience with David, whom she calls out for insecurity and inauthenticity:
“One thing men have is audacity and insecurity. Oh, and to project on—the big two.” ([14:10])
Discussion of who played the biggest “villain;” while Andrew was labeled a villain, the cast agrees he was authentic, with David being called out for mirroring and emotional dishonesty.
[15:50 – 17:07]
“Anything that comes out of her mouth, you know is gonna be good... But every time she'd come out, it was bad news.” ([15:56]) “She literally one time stopped production to give me a hug... It wasn’t just that, like, host, contestant relationship. I was like, you my girl, for real.” — Bella ([16:31])
[20:47]
"No, only because ... I was like, oh, we're all going to agree to be horny together... But then when the cameras came on, everybody got shy..." — James ([21:07])
“I’m a big believer in fate and destiny. So if it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out, at least I put myself out there…” ([24:18])
“I lost a lot of respect for him after that.” — Tim ([25:26]) “You need to own up with what you’re doing. And, like, you’re doing both these women ... so wrong...” — James ([26:17])
[30:25 - 32:56]
Mary’s take on the plank:
“When I tell you guys I got an impromptu saltwater enema that I did not consent to. That was the most shocking... I was very, very cleaned out after that.” ([09:44])
Lexi's leap:
“Love just like, I can. I can swim. I can fly. I could do anything. So I was like, my man, my man. And I just ran off that shit." ([08:49])
Bella on reality TV’s surprises:
“It really is, like, that big. When it first came out, I remember being like, I'm not doing that. Like, immediately, I said, it's not what I signed up for again.” ([10:15])
Tim on David’s actions:
“I didn’t like how he did Lowe. That was not cool. Asking her to be his girlfriend and then doing what he did on his date.” ([25:13])
James on calling out bad behavior:
"You need to own up with what you’re doing. ... You’re justifying certain bad decisions. Okay, I can’t support this now.” ([26:17])
This episode delivers everything fans want: real talk about reality TV manipulation, surprising twists, tender connections (and breakups), and all the fun and chaos of life on a love-and-drama-filled yacht.
