Girls, this is Mary from the bay
E
and it's Courtney from la. And we are very excited about today's guest. She's the detective that Bravo has been missing. So hide your mistresses and your sisters and your exes and maybe their brothers, please welcome to two judgy girls from the Real Housewives of Rhode Island, Jo Ellen Tiberi. Thank you for joining us today.
B
Oh, my God, I'm so happy. I love you guys. I'm so excited. Actually, my sister is excited, too. She's like, oh, you're going on two judgy girls. I'm like, I know.
D
Jen is definitely a friend of the pod. We love that. And, Jo Ellen, we can't tell you how many people have compared you and Courtney like the doppelganger Ness. And we saw that Casey Wilson thing on TikTok. Absolutely hysterical. Do you think you guys could be a trio with Courtney?
B
So, you know what's so funny? When I met Casey Wilson, I was like, oh, my God, we look like. And then people just kept on tagging Courtney over and over, and I'm like, the three of us are like, you know, like triplets, all twins. So, yes, I do think that we all look alike.
E
It's very flattering, I will say. I actually think your doppelganger is more like Danielle Fishel from Dancing with the Stars. Do you get her often?
B
I get her. I've gotten her my whole life. And, like, what, like, an honor? She's stunning. She's gorgeous. Like Topanga. That's what I. I grew up on Boy Meets World, so, hey, I do see it. I see it a bit.
E
Do you get anybody else?
B
I've been getting. I've been hearing Cassie.
E
Oh. From Love Island.
B
Teresa. I've been. You know, I always get that. And when I was doing one of my confessionals, my makeup artist was really good friends with Teresa, and so she FaceTimed in. And, like, in the middle of my confessional, I was like, hi. And then I got to meet her with Ultimate Girls Trip. So it was very, very cool. She was. She was awesome. So flattering. Thank you.
D
I love it. I love all the comparisons in the Bravo world, but let's ask first. How did you get approached to do Real Housewives of Rhode Island?
B
It's so funny. I was naked getting a spray tan, and my spray tan girl was like, hey, I heard they're doing this reality thing in Rhode island, and it's for, like, Italian women. And I'm like, well, I don't really cook or clean. And then it just kind of snowballed, and it ended up turning into the Housewives, which is just. I never in my wildest dreams would have ever expected it to be the Housewives. I don't know if that was, like, what they had planned initially, but that's what it turned into. And so this is just a wild ride. It's so fun.
D
Had you watched other Housewives franchise before joining?
B
Didn't. No, I watched float. I know, I know. Now I do. So then, you know, once it really was a thing. That's when I was like, well, which one do I start with? And like, there's so many seasons and there's 10 other franchises. I ended up starting with Salt Lake. So that was very fun.
E
Yeah, that's a good one to start with.
D
But wasn't really, like, an original Bravo person that followed any of the shows, anything like that.
B
No. Liz actually said to me before we even started filming, she's like, you know, John, it's like getting a new job. You need to, like, Google this company. You need to watch these episodes. But I just. Once I started, I was like, all right, I don't want to see this. Like, I. This is too much. It was too much during filming. So after filming is when I started watching the show.
E
You went in blind for the season then?
B
I just started like two months ago on my solo. Oh, my God.
E
Like, you don't even know the formula. Now you might.
B
Now I'm getting it. I'm like, oh, man. Like, which one am I compared to the. You know, like, I'm like, comparing myself. I'm like, I see a little bit of this one and this one. So it's been fun.
E
You're our Megan King Edmonds replacement, is what I would say, because she was on Orange county, she was a detective of figuring it out was like, hey, if there. This seems a little fishy. I need to dig in a little bit. And I feel like that you're now the new Megan King, which is a compliment because we all loved when she was the detective. So we're happy to have you.
B
I love that I've got a little bit of her, a little bit of Tamara. I've got a little bit of everyone
E
in me within the Bravo sphere, then. Are you familiar with what's going on with Summer House? By chance, have you dived into that part?
B
I have not watched it. However, obviously I. I can read. I can. I go on the Internet. So I've been. I've been definitely seeing things. That's going to be probably the next series that I will start. But again, like, I Said there's so many seasons in it, and so to jump in, you need to, like, be really invested. Like, during COVID like, I would sit down and watch, like, 10 hours of TV a day. Like, I can't do that now with. With three kids and, you know, with everything. So. But that's going to be my next one. And, you know, I'm. But I. I have. I have read a little bit about it.
E
Speaking of your kids and your family, what did they think when you were like, by the way, Mom's gonna film a show?
B
So, you know, my oldest, Gian, he's 11 now, he was like, cool, sure. And then when the cameras came in, he would be, like, trying not to look at them. My daughter would be waving at the cameramen. And my son's like, why am I not on it enough? Like, where's all my episodes? I'm like, you'll get time. You'll get. You know. So he's excited. My. My younger two don't understand, but my, My. I mean, some of his friends and teachers will ask him, like, hey, your mom's on the housewife. That's so cool. And he's like, he doesn't want to tell people. He wants people like, like him on his own. Like, don't use my mom for me.
E
And what did Gary think? Gary's one of the new favorite house husbands across the board. I think people are very interested in Gary.
B
I know, I know. It's so funny. He. When it first got started, he was, you know, my biggest supporter. But I was like, six months pregnant, seven months pregnant. I had a tough pregnancy, so I was in and out of the hospital. I had preeclampsia. And he. He was just a big supporter, big cheerleader. And now we just kind of laugh. Like, I'll send him what people are writing, or, you know, he can open up his DMs. And a lot of people are like, you're so hot. You have like, 86C. Everyone thinks I'm hot. Dwellin. Why don't you say that to me all the time?
E
Well, are you familiar with our March Madness competition?
B
No. Tell me it.
E
Okay, what is it? Every March, we have what we call March Madness, which is where the men of Bravo, we have them compete to be the hottest Bravo Leb. And we already know he's going to be seated high for next year.
B
Oh, my God. I love that. He's gonna love this.
E
It goes with the March Madness bracket, but this is more fun, we think.
B
No, I like this one better. I'M not. I'm not huge into basketball. You know, I'm a football girl. Like, I'm like a Patriots for life, so.
E
Me too. Me too. My family's from North Attleborough, so.
B
Oh, so close.
E
Yeah. And Mary's got Boston roots, too, with her husband, so we're. We're east coast girlies by. By proxy.
B
I love that. I love that. See, we're representing New England. And you know what? Boston's been so amazing to us. Let me just say that. Like, I was in Boston last night. They had St. Patrick's Day parade. They invited us to the Red. The Red Sox. Yang. No, not. Was it Red Sox, Yankees, that game. No, it wasn't. I don't know who they were playing actually, that game, but it was the Red.
E
It's fine.
B
It was the Red Sox. We went to the Celtics, so it was. Boston's been very, very warm and welcoming to us. I love that. I know they're really good. Some of the Rhode Islanders. Not as. Not as much Rhode Islander. You know, we have to represent the state very well. I've talked to so many people, and it's bringing tourism, it's bringing. The state is beautiful. The restaurants are amazing. So I'm just excited to see what it will bring for Rhode Island. Definitely.
D
Well, feels like everyone knows each other in Rhode Island. It feels very small. You go way back with the cast. Were you all involved with the process of joining? Were you recommending each other? How did that all transpire for the cast?
B
Actually, you know, most of them.
D
I knew you went to heights. You went to high school with Alicia.
B
I did. Oh, she's. I was. She's. She's so funny. Like, she doesn't even mean to. I was just taking clips of her in the car, like, driving home. Um, so I've known Alicia probably the longest out of everyone. And Kelsey I've known for about 20 years. Liz, I've known for a couple of years. Um, some of the other ones I didn't know, but I quickly got to know them. It's just a really good group of girls. I will say that. Definitely. I'm trying not to be shady. Most of the girls are great.
E
No, I opened up the shade. What do you mean by most? I have to think that it might be Rosie. You're referring to that.
B
No, honestly, I'm fine with Rosie. Rosie's. I don't. I don't. You know, it's okay to have disagreements, I think, and. And to come back and. And be stronger. I think I went into it, not knowing Rosie as well. And, and then we, we really got to know each other. We got to talk about our families. Her husband's awesome. So, no, Rosie wouldn't be the one that I would say I have the biggest problem with.
D
So you're talking about Rula.
B
Rula. You know, there's, there's definitely some issues there. Yeah.
D
Well, when, so when did you first meet Rula?
B
That's really great question, because Alicia and I were in the car today and I counted on, on two hands under 10 times. Have I met Rula ever in my life? Okay, so Rula and I didn't, you know, we weren't together a lot over the summer, I will say that. But I met Rula probably last, maybe like April. Okay, so a few months before we picked up filming, was she always like
D
a full time housewife or was she like a friend of. Because obviously she's missing from a lot of filming because she's sick.
B
You know, I don't know exactly what her role is. I only, you know, knew mine. And so Rula's in it. She's in it when she shows up. But, you know, I think like I said, everyone plays a part in this whole story whether I care for them or not.
D
So basically, like, you guys start filming and you already know about this mistress. Everybody knows about this mistress.
B
Right? Right. The whole state does. Yeah. I mean, when you're walking down the street holding her hand and you going out to dinners, you know, Gary and I ran into the mistress and, and Brian a couple times. I don't want to call her that. Like, I can't say her name, but, like, I'm just gonna go with the girlfriend and I'm gonna get a little flack for that. And I, I, I get it. But I know who she is and she's a person, so I don't wanna refer to her as that. So you guys call her what you
E
want, but Brian's girlfriend will just say,
B
then, yep, there you go. Yeah.
E
Wait, so you've run into Brian and his girlfriend multiple times and she's saying that this has been over for a while and you're like constantly running into them.
B
Yeah, they would go to our country club. So Gary golfs a lot, so he would take her to the country club. I've seen them out at Hemingway's restaurant in Rhode island in Providence. It's a known thing, so that was definitely difficult. And so when I first met Rula, it was on the phone and she asked me if she could see the pictures she's like, this was last summer, this is a year ago. And I'm like, no, no, it's not. So I told her this before we were even picked up as a show. So she's known for quite some time. I know on the show she says that she doesn't think it's currently happening and to constantly call me a liar and say I'm meddling and I'm doing all these things. I'm telling you the truth. And then you know, obviously the calling of the jobs, that didn't help the case.
D
Right.
E
So why do you even think she came onto the show and then, in her words, was wide eyed and bushy tailed? Why do you even think she was doing this? Is she trying to just pretend it's not happening? Or do you think maybe she went on to get away from him, they're still together?
B
You know, that's a really great question that most of the cast doesn't know the answer to, nor do I. I, I don't know. Because ignorance is bliss. And, and you know what if she said to me like, thank you, thank you so much, like, I've got it from here, or if she even wanted to explain, like, don't ask, don't tell, like whatever the relationship is, I don't understand. I don't know why she would think to go on this show other than Brian was just lying to her, saying, hey, this is over. But when you're still getting proof and more and more, you have to know that this is gonna come out. You signed up to do a reality TV show. This is a real part of her life. And it's unfortunate what he did because I think of him as a piece of shit. He's, he's manipulative, he's not a good person. I don't care for him. I think Rula is a nice person, but sometimes when you're going through something so heavy, you don't know where to place your anger and, or what to believe, I guess.
E
Yeah. And he's definitely not at the gym, right?
B
Maybe he just started going to the gym. Maybe he stopped saying in the mystery. Like she posted a video the other day and she's like, look at my husband's muscles. I'm like, yeah, he's just started going. He was doing some working out in the mornings. I don't know if that's the kind that she was thinking, but he was working out his dick.
E
He probably knows his girlfriend's coffee order, but he seemingly doesn't know his wife's tea Order.
B
Which is exactly. Exactly. That's a lot to go through in the public eye. And, you know, she has kids, so I definitely understand whatever decision she decides to make. Stay with him, leave him. I support her. Whatever she wants to do, I. I support. But he's just dragging her through the mud, making her look like a fool. And. And I'm done. I'm like, I've washed my hands clean of it. I don't care anymore. What you choose is your own business.
D
Do you think the mistress wants to be involved in the show?
E
Girlfriend, Girl.
D
Sorry, sorry. Excuse me.
B
No, I don't. You know, I don't know, because sometimes, you know, she's tagging, bravo. And I'm like, what are you doing? Don't do that. And I've said that to her. I'm like. Like, you know, we're not close friends, but we're acquaintances. We're friendly enough. I'll randomly see her out. We don't, you know, hang out one on one ever. But I think that she was just told a complete lie. You know, shown divorce papers, given a ring. He met her entire family. There's a. There's a lot to it.
D
Given a ring.
E
She really is the girlfriend.
B
They're in love. This is two and a half years. That's not like a Saturday night. Like, I got drunk and hooked up with somebody. This is. They were in love.
E
And so this is still going on to. What? You know.
B
No, you know what? I don't know exactly what's happening in their lives. I just. I don't care anymore. It's her problem. I'm. I'm done. You figure it out. Hire a private detective. I. I did that for you for free. You're welcome.
E
I was gonna say you were really nice to do all of that work.
B
I'm gonna invoice her. I'm gonna invoice her for my services.
E
Let's take a break, and we'll be right back.
D
I love making big pasta salads, sandwiches, and cozy baked pasta dishes. But a lot of those are carb heavy and they don't fit my macros. But that's why I use hero bread and especially hero noodles. They taste delicious. The texture is soft, fluffy, satisfying. It's crazy how they've done it because it tastes like a traditional bread or pasta, but it's a healthy swap. So they make sliced breads, buns, tortillas, bagels, and noodles so you can make the meals you love. I use the noodles for the pasta salads and family dinners and the tortillas are a quick for a great veggie wrap at lunch, these simple swaps help me hit my fiber goals without overthinking it. You'd Never guess it's 0 to 5 net carbs, 0 sugars and tons of fiber. And the taste and texture is on point. HeroBred is offering 10% off your order. Go to Hero Co and use code Judgy at checkout. That's judgy at H E R O.

E
Could you tell us a little bit more? Because you mentioned it and we've seen on the show that Brian called your company. Were you let go? Are you still at that job? What happened with that? And I have to say too is it was very attractive the way that Gary was defending your honor. I was like, now that is a husband roll up. That's what you need.
B
Yeah. So he called the job and I ended up being laid off. So that stinks.
E
You were far too nice then.
B
It didn't happen right away. Okay? It didn't happen right away. So trust me, if it happened right away, I would have been vicious.
D
What was the timeline from the call to getting laid off? And were other people laid off with you as well?
B
There were other people laid off as well. So, you know, I don't think that it necessarily was 100% of what he did, so I can't blame him on that. I think what he did was extremely petty and immature and just. He wanted to punish me and try to keep his hands clean, I guess. And so that was his way of doing it and kind of keeping his nose above water. I don't know if that's a phrase. I feel like Alicia right now. Like, you know, I don't know. He's. That's not a. You know what I'm. Keep his nose clean. Keep his nose clean.
E
Yeah.
A
Yeah.
E
Except then he was like, let me go on a reality show where. Where nothing might get exposed. I always think it's funny when people have skeletons in their closet, and then they're like, the cameras won't change anything.
B
Everything's gonna come out about everyone. And, like, I don't pretend to be this, you know, angelic human being. I. I have my own skeletons. And. And, like, you know, you have to know. But things from the past are gonna come out, but if it's happening in the present, it's of course gonna come out. You know, everyone knows everyone in the state. It's so small. Our Rhode island is like your la. That's our whole entire state, though.
D
And I think you've been very. And I want to talk more about you opening up about the boarding schools. It sounded like. Was it like a Paris Hilton kind of situation? Can you elaborate on that?
E
If you want to talk about it.
B
No. Yeah, that's. That's okay. Um, so my sister actually was sent to one that was very similar to Paris Hilton. It was a wilderness camp. And I don't want to use the word camp, because it wasn't, like a summer camp. This was, like, during the school year, you got pulled out of school, taken out by, like, somebody coming to the house, and she would have to dig a hole and, like, go to the bathroom. She did not take a shower for three months. She was outside in the wilderness. If they found, like, a lake or she was in Utah. So mine was not that. That was. I. I don't think I could make it. I don't think I could have survived. Mine were really bad. And so I had three different places, and it was just. It wasn't something that I would ever recommend for a parent. And I've gotten so many DMs of people being like, I got sent away, too. Me too. Like, my mom made this. I don't know what happened to our parents that, like, kids of the 90s, early 2000, what were they thinking? Maybe it was because the Internet was new AOL dial up. Like, you're calling Your insurance saying, hey, I want a behavioral program. And so I think, like, the first place that I went to that was a drug rehab. That was the issue that they thought that that was a behavioral place. And then I'm. I'm sitting there in, like, AA meeting saying, like, the serenity prayer. I'm like, I haven't drank ever. I've never done drugs at this point. I was in seventh grade, so, like, what are you, 12? Yeah. I hadn't done anything then. It was just a lot, and it was a long time, and I feel like I've gotten past it. But I do think talking about it has helped me heal a little bit. I'm not gonna lie. It's just normalizing something that shouldn't be normal.
D
What is your relationship like with your mother these days?
B
That's a good question. Right now, we're not speaking, so we're not on speaking terms. So she saw that episode the other day, and she kind of went down a little bit of a rabbit hole, saying, what goes around comes around, and I'm gonna come back twice as hard like you should be saying, I am so sorry I hurt you. You're not even addressing the elephant in the room of, you caused me pain and trauma. You're now thinking, what is the world thinking about you? You should be thinking, how is my daughter? Who cares about the world? How's my daughter? How's my child? So we're definitely not on the same page on that. And she doesn't want to take accountability.
D
Is Jen kind of like the in between for you right now?
B
Yeah. So, like, Mother's Day was this past Sunday, and. Yeah. And the episode aired on that, so that was. Oh, God. I was like, wow, how did that end? How did that actually happen? I see what you did. No, I mean, it just so happened that we air on Sundays, and it was. It was a Sunday episode. And I said that to Andy when I went to watch what Happens live. I'm like, this is Mother's Day. I didn't get invited to Mother's Day brunch. And my mom's like, well, my boyfriend doesn't like you. I'm like, I don't care. I'm your daughter. So I didn't get invited to that. And I was really bothered by that. Thank God I have my own family. I'm a mom. And so I was with my family. I was with Gary. And then Jen took my mom out for ice cream, and no one invited me again. I'm like, what is wrong with you people? Like, this is twice you just did. And that's hurtful. And so my mom just doesn't see it in that sense. And she ended up stopping by my house on Sunday. I wasn't home. I actually went out with Liz and. And she just. It was. It was a very unfortunate turn of events, I guess.
E
Do you think that there's space, though, maybe after this season or off camera for there to be. Or are you waiting for her to maybe make the first move?
B
Um, I think I'm gonna take a little bit of a break right now. I think I need to work on me. My mental health. I've been talking to somebody, and it's. It's just. I need to work on me. And. And my most important thing right now in my life is my ch. My kids. My children are the most important thing. So I don't. I'm just taking a little bit of a step back right now.
E
Yeah, you brought up. When you're talking about the schools, it is actually really interesting to think about technology and the fact that that probably wouldn't happen now because you could Google it. Here's what it is. And then to think that and be like, I was just doing the best of what I thought was the best for you, but you also being like, it wasn't that, though. It's. It's just a really interesting dynamic to think of, like, where we were 20 years ago. I guess that's 30 years ago, which is crazy. But, like, to.
B
Right. You know, still, at the end of the day, whether Internet being around or not around, other than my child probably trying to stab me, I would never have that thought cross my mind, like, hey, somebody else should. Should handle my. My children. I could never fathom that. So my mom's answer is like, you know, you weren't an easy kid. And I'm like, it. I was a straight A student. I. You know, I was well liked. I. I had friends. I. It just. I had big boobs. I've had three breast reductions. So, like, I really did have big boobs. And I think it was Alicia that said, like, Joe Melon. So I'm like, oh, no, we're letting that nickname out. Oh, my gosh.
E
Well, I wanted to talk about another family dynamic, because a running joke so far this season has been the relationship between Jen, your sister, and Gary. We need somewhat of a timeline here. We love this because we think you guys are obviously very in on the joke, but it is also very funny, and it's kind of Elisa Barlow in a way. I don't know if you know about her, but her sister also dated her husband, so.
B
Okay. They never dated. They never kissed. They were never boyfriend, girlfriend. He touched her boobs one time in seventh or eighth grade. That was it. That was it. Jen thought he was hot. I didn't steal my sister's boyfriend. They never were together. And so it's like a running joke in my family. Like, Jen's like, oh, I should have had him. You know, if he ever wanted, then you would have him, but he never wanted you. It's funny in our family, and I realize that people are not in our family. And they're like, please, girl. Like, watch out. She's coming for him. And I'm like, I promise you, she is not. She is such a great person. She's my best friend. There's nothing happening. I. I can promise you that. I. I appreciate everyone looking out for me. They're. They're really good fans. But I promise, there's nothing happening. It's our weird.
D
That's silly. It's a joke.
B
It's a sexual joke. But no, they've never hooked up. There's nothing between them. She doesn't help the situation going on. Like, watch what happens live. And doubling down on the sperm thing, I'm like, jen, she. I was nervous. I'm like, so you said that, like, that's where you get your head went to.
E
I think it's funny. Would you ever want her to join the show? Be the housewife or a friend of. In any capacity?
B
I would love that. I mean, Jen's one of my best friends, but, like, you know, sisters fight. You want some drama, get my sister and me together. Like, I'm like, leave. Leave me alone. You know? So I would. She would be amazing. My goal right now is to find her a husband and for her to watch my kids more.
E
I know. Did anything happen with that boat captain?
B
You know what? It didn't. And, like, my sister was on one of, like, the dating profiles. I think it was like, either, like, Hinge or Tinder one. I don't know which one. And she even sent him, like, a little, like, DM heart or something, and he didn't answer.
E
We need to circle back on that.
B
I know that captain was hot. He was handsome. I was like, jen, I found the perfect guy for you. I was showing her pic, like, that's what I do. Anyone that's around me, they're like, I'm single. I'm like, are you okay? Well, I have a sister, so I love the girl. I Pimp her out a little bit.
D
Yes, as you should. Speaking a little bit more about the boat. So Kelsey dropped a little bomb this week, talking about how you had slept with her and ex and then also the brother. But then you said in the confessional a little tidbit as well, like she would know the answer. Can you elaborate on this?
B
I mean, you know what, I love Kelsey. I adore her. So I knew her, her now ex for about 18, 20 years as well. And so I met him before I met my ex boyfriend, his brother. And so he and I had hooked up a couple times and.
D
No, no, no, no. Okay, so wait, wait, wait. So but you seriously dated, like, he was your boyfriend?
B
Kelsey?
D
No, Kelsey's ex's boy. A brother?
B
Yes.
D
How long did you date him for?
B
For like two years. A couple years. Okay. Yeah.
E
In a castle as well.
B
I didn't live in the castle. I wish I did. Like, oh my God, where was that castle?
E
I was around, like, life might be a little bit different if I did.
B
I mean, yeah, no Gary, no kids, just living in a huge castle. But, you know, we've made our life. No, yeah, they're a really, really great family. I really love that family. They've done a lot for me. They were always around when my dad was sick, so they are really good people. I'll say that. Really, really nice people.
D
Well, wait, so then.
B
Okay, I know, and I'm like trying to like scoot around it because, like, you'll find out more. You'll find out. No, it's like I said, I did date the brother for a couple of years when I was in college and his brother was before him.
E
The town is small, the state is small. They're slim picking.
B
Wasn't on a boat. I mean, maybe something happened on a boat, but not the situation that she's talking about. That was on land. You want to come at me, get your story straight, make sure. You know, usually when somebody tells a story about me, they have like 10%, right? I'm like, oh, no, it's way juicier than that.
D
But wait, has Kelsey also hooked up with the brother? No, no, that's not what you were saying in that confession.
B
Okay, not that I know of. No, I don't think so.
D
No, no, no, that's what I got from that. Okay, so yeah, no, I misread that.
B
Yeah, some people, I saw that on the Internet. Like, what did Kelsey do? I'm like, no, that's just me that did that.
D
Only one of us in the group.
B
Okay, thanks.
D
For clarifying.
B
Yep.
D
Okay, let's talk a little bit about Liz. Would you consider her the matriarch of the group?
B
Yeah. I mean, Liz is. Is just, you know, she is. She's definitely the matriarch. She's. She's. She's kind, she's caring. She's. You know, Rula had met her once or twice. Liz. And so that's why it was interesting when. When Rula was like, liz, I've known you forever. We've been friends. You met twice. That's. That's an interesting dynamic. But, you know, Liz. Liz tried to go to her, like, a little bit, maybe I don't know how many times, and try to tell Rula what was happening. And Rula wasn't listening to her. She wasn't listening to me. She wasn't listening to anybody. And, you know, that's unfortunate.
D
You guys were warning her, this is gonna come to life.
B
Yeah.
E
Yeah, it is, Ma. It's a classic line already. And you guys have had seven episodes this past week, though, I felt like we were seeing a little bit of drama between Liz and Alicia. Did you see that happening, or was that just a bad day for Liz? We were wondering what was going on with that.
B
They've known each other. I mean, Liz knew Alicia when she was born, so they've known each other for a long time. I did see a little bit of, you know, sometimes when I. There's a little bit happening. And it's a tough situation because when Alicia was talking about the homelessness, Alicia's not great with her words, and maybe she didn't mean the word homeless. Maybe she meant displaced. Maybe she meant something different. And Liz does, you know, kind of back off a bit on that and is just like, so, you know, some things aren't always shown, but Liz, I feel a little bit of tension happening between them.
D
Was Liz supposed to go off the castle with you guys originally or no?
B
So that's a really good question, because Liz wanted to, and we could only. It was. It was actually just for Alicia and me. And so I do see why she felt very awkward with these, you know, 20 year old butlers. I would have been like, this is not what I want to do. Go down a water slide. So I definitely understand why she was like, I'm all set. I'm gonna go sit in my room. You know, I probably would've been the same way.
D
And then Ashley, I. She comes to help her, and I thought that was, like a sweet moment. But. Had you ever watched the. The Bachelor?
B
No.
E
No.
B
No, I don't do a lot of reality tv now. I'm. Now I'm into it. But no, but I did see clips, you know, now my algorithm is just showing me every housewife, every fight, every Ashley eye thing, and her coming back to be like, no, I'm not done. After she didn't get the rose, and, like, I was like, get it, girl. That's awesome. But she did that, so I didn't see it live, but I've seen some clips.
D
Have you ever been to Audrey's?
B
Yeah. Yep, I have. They have great coffee. They have great express martinis. After weddings, we'll go there if we're having a wedding down. Down south. I. I like the establishment. They do a really good job there.
D
When's the last time you saw Ashley? I feels like she's not as, like, integrated into the group.
B
Ashley has two kids, you know, like, you have three. I know. I. I'm in the weeds, guys. I don't go out that much, I'll tell you that.
D
Get it.
B
My life looks cooler than it is. It's not, um, you know, with having kids. She's busy. She's. She's flying back and forth to East coast, west coast, she's flying south. I think she was just in, like. I don't know if it was North Carolina, some. One of those Carolinas. I think she was down there, so I don't see her as much. I saw Ashley at the premiere party in the beginning of April. She and I actually were just texting. I told her, hey, I'm. I got, like, front row tickets to Hampton. Do you want to go? Ashley loves boy bands, so she's like, yes, can my sister come? And I'm like, yep, my sister's gonna go. So, you know, I'll still text Ashley on the side. We just don't to see each other as much.
E
Wow. Hampton is still on tour. That's good to know.
B
I know. That's really showing my age. I'm like, huh, okay. Yeah, I'll go to that.
E
Wow. Is Taylor still a heartthrob?
B
He was a hot one. He was. He was. I remember that. I think he still is. I think he's like, the coolest brother of them. But I'm gonna find out in a couple of months when I go see them.
E
Update us once you go.
B
I know. Yeah. So Ashley's gonna go to that. I told. I told Rosie about it because, you know, Rosie's into boy bands, but I think she's a little younger, and she doesn't know who they are. But I said, well, Jessica Simpson might be coming to town. If she comes, then she's.
D
She's coming by me. I really want to go.
B
No, I. She came. She came, like, last year, and I was so sad I didn't get to go. But, like, I'm somebody that, like, you know, I was brought up. I'm like the Spice Girls, like, insane. That's, like my wedding song.
D
Stop.
E
What? This? I promise you.
B
Yes. Yeah, You know, it's like that older millennial. But no, Ashley. I just didn't get a chance to, you know, see her as much. I really did have fun. And everyone teases her for the crying. I think, you know, I get it. Like, I get anxiety. So I understand what she meant at the castle when she was like, I'm scared of what's gonna happen in the future. I tease her about the crying, though. I cry, though. So, like, who am I? She can get on me, too. Honestly, she is such a good sport when it comes to the show. She's like, all right. Like, I don't dress the best. Maybe I'm not the best housewife. Like, she just falls on that sword and is just very, very funny, and, you know, she's a good person.
E
Let's take a break, and we'll be right back.

You mentioned Rosie. You guys start off this show, you go to that winery. Everyone starts just bringing up rumors that are about them and then confirming yes or no where I'm like, okay, we're telling secrets. You know, you guys have been very open and honest. Except that when it came to Rosie, we were talking about a few scandals Kelsey has brought up a couple of times. A few things about Rosie. Do you think that there is any truth to these affair rumors?
B
Honestly, I don't know. I don't. I don't watch college basketball. See, this is another college basketball thing. Like, I don't, I don't. I know who the coach is. I really. I've heard rumors. I've heard rumors. That does not mean that they're true. I don't find this man to be attractive. And I think Rosie is a pretty girl. So I really, I don't know. I have a hard time believing that one about the coach. I don't know about the boss. Like, again, like, it's such a small state. People are gonna talk shit about each other and what they hear. Sometimes there's truth to it, sometimes there's not. I don't, I don't know. We'll see. I'm sure that. I'm sure that they're gonna. It will keep.
D
It, it, it will keep coming out if it's true.
B
Yeah. No, Rosie and I, like I said, we didn't start off on a good foot. We went into filming and I was, I wasn't a fan of her, but we've swept that under the rug a little bit. So that's the good part. You, we, you know, you have this conflict and then you have like this resolution. Some conflicts just haven't been resol.
D
That's what the reunion's for.
B
Oh, it is. And I'm ready. I wonder though, with these leaks and things like that for these reunions, how that's going to change, you know? So I guess I'm going to have to like, print things out like the old fashioned way instead of being like, here's the proof, here's the timeline.
E
You mentioned you got to be a part of the ultimate girls 20th anniversary trip. I think it was in the Berkshires. That party, what was that like? Who was nice who was mean? Anyone of them give you any advice for taking on the Real Housewife role?
B
I mean, I asked a lot of them, you know, a lot of questions, and I was like, do you hang out with your cast? You know, when. Because that's just something that, I don't know. I don't have. Like, Dolores has been amazing, but, like, I kind of just wanted to hear what everyone else in, like, the housewife world did with their castmates, because some of this is hard where you're, like, fighting, and you really, genuinely care about these people, so it's breaking your heart to fight. Ashley Darby was really, really great. Heather Gay was really great. To me. Heather, to pro, was really, really nice. I've met so many of them and. And they were really awesome. Some of the Miami girls, Portia gave me her number. I'm like, thank you. Like, they were really, really welcoming. Dorinda was really, really great.
D
How are you dealing with, like, the fame has. What has changed for you?
B
Honest, I don't. I don't think anything's changed. I mean, other than, you know, my DMs are very full, and I try to read these things because a lot of these stories, especially recently, have been people telling me about their parents and relating and just opening up and sharing their stories. And that's. I don't know, it gives me a little bit of peace, like, hearing somebody else went through this, I guess. So that's just been the wildest part. People take things, though, on the Internet, and so I'm not there yet. I'm trying. Andy gave me great advice. Don't read the Internet. I'm like, I know, I know. You know, what do you do when you're scrolling and especially when somebody's tagging you to something, I'm like, so I've been doing a better job, I will say that, of not reading it as much. But, you know, some people are just like. Like I said the story with Jen and Gary, like, it's not real.
D
You're making socks, rolling with it. Completely.
E
Completely.
D
I feel like you are definitely a fan favorite. It's been so fun to get to know you. What can you tease for the rest of the season? And we know you guys are getting a season two. Can you guys give us a little teaser about what's to come?
B
So you guys have heard about the video, so, you know, I'm gonna stand ten toes down and. And be like, I'm not doing this anymore. I got you what you asked for. You asked me for this. Let's Point that out, that some people are like, Joel, and you're. You're like a dog with a bone. She's asking me for proof. I'm not just saying, you know, we haven't seen that.
E
That's what we were wondering. Did Rula ask for this? Because they don't really show that in the polo clip. But you're saying she did.
B
When Rula and I had a sit down. If you think back to when Rula and I had a sit down, just one on one, she came to meet me. She said that she wants. She wants proof. And she's like, I want to be bright eyed, bushy tailed. I, you know, I don't want to be a fool. And she's saying, you know, yeah, get me the proof. And so that's what I was doing. And I was, you know, and part of it is being somewhat of a girl's girl. Part of it is like, you're calling me a liar. You're calling my job. I'm not. I'll take the job thing out of it. You're calling me a liar. I'm not lying. I'm telling you the truth. You just don't wanna hear the truth because it's embarrassing. So just own it and be like, thank you, I've got it from here. That's where she kind of went wrong. Instead of just saying that, like, I'll handle it, you know, whatever. You don't need to explain the relationship, but you just need to own what is happening currently. And so that's something that I think we continue to go through throughout the rest of the season a little bit. And there's a couple more conflicts that happened. But, you know, we left the season, most of us being really on good. And even when I see Rula right now, I give her a hug. I'm cordial with her. How are you? I just got her a purse the other day.
E
What kind of purse did you get her?
B
Oh, I got it. So it was from Kent Stenson. It was this Rory bag. It has like, the Rhode island license plate, and it says Real Housewives for Rhode Island. So it's like a license plate bag. Wait.
E
I also love too, though, that there's already, like, you're seeing Rhode island housewife merch now.
B
I love that.
E
That's amazing.
B
I'm like, you don't understand. Like, Rhode Islanders are. We're kind of odd. We love Rhode Island. Any Rhode Islander is, like, obsessed with the state. And so, like, I have, like, something in my living room right now, like, it's like home sweet home. Like Rhode Island, Cranston. Like, I don't know. Like, you're so proud of where you're from when you're from Rhode Island. Like, that's all. I can explain it. And I know it's. It's odd, but, like, we.
D
No, no.
E
You went to college in Rhode island, too, right?
B
Did. Yep. I went to uri.
E
And what sorority were you in?
B
I was in a Kaio, so Alpha Chi omega.
E
Yeah, we're DGs, so we were like. But we. I feel like we have, like, similar vibes, so I'm like, I feel like she could have been in ours if you went to our college.
B
Right? Exactly. Different campuses, different houses. But, yeah, no, it was. College was fun. College is my fun times.
D
We are. We had a great time in college.
E
That's where Courtney and I met.
B
If you didn't live in your college years, then, like, you're going to be slutty in your 40s. You know, like, you have to just, you know, you have to have a good time. That's what college is for. And, you know, my mom locked me up a bit in my early years, so I needed to. I needed to let my, like, wings go free.
D
Totally. You lived it up. I love that so much. Well, Joellen, thank you so much for being here today. We love watching you and Rhode island, and we're so excited for season two and the rest of this season. So thank you so much.
B
Thank you, Mary. Thank you, Courtney. You guys are the best.

Thank you. Thank you.
