it's Courtney from la. How was your fourth of July, Mary?

You know, I don't like when fourth of July is on a weekend. I think it is a weekday holiday.

Courtney
It's rude because I want to celebrate the fourth of July and then I want a day after to recover and then a day after to do whatever I want. And this just doesn't work out when it falls on a Saturday.

Mary
I did not like that. But I did get to the Nevada fourth of July parade. It was Charlie's first one and I can't say he really took to it. I don't think he really understood the, the lore of the Nevada fourth of July Parade. At one point a band went by us on a truck and I was taking a video. I was like, oh, what do you think? And he started crying because it was too loud.

He was like, if I have to hear Star Spangled Banner one more time.

Mary
But we, we did that and then we went to my parents and we barbecued and enjoyed and then we watched the Golden Gate Bridge. It was a really big deal. They shut down the bridge the third time they have ever done this. They had fireworks going off of it. You could barely see it because of the fog. So that tough other years they probably just would have canceled it. But it was such a big deal and they shut down the bridge.

They still had to do it, but

it was really, really fogged in.

ARL strikes again.

He sure did. He sure did. And then, yeah, Sunday we just stayed at my parents and used the pool longer and it was relaxing. How was Yours.

Mine was great. I didn't have much of a plan. Obviously, I'm in my World cup era right now. So I went over to Venice to go watch the France game at, like, the official France, like, watch party, which was so fun, but wildly, I was like, I do. I can't believe I have to go over to the beach because traffic is always so bad on the 4th of July. My friend and I, we head over there. No traffic. I'm like, where are all the people?

They were already there.

No, they weren't. It wasn't even. No, it wasn't crowded around there. So we went to this place called Penmar, which is this golf course, and they shut down part of it so that we could have a watch party. I made Rice Krispie treats, which I feel like are an essential Fourth of July treat. And then you weren't allowed to bring outdoor food in, so I had to sneak it in. So I was calling my group, if you want it, you just gotta go in the bag. But don't let them see you eat it. Thank God France won. So it was like a big celebration. So I just pulled out that plate at that point and I said, I don't care.

The game's over. Feeding everybody a Rice Krispie treat. And let me tell you, I added a little extra to these ones. I added some cinnamon, I added some vanilla, and I added some sea salt. Obviously, my Fourth of July sprinkles, but huge hit. Huge hit.

Almost like a taste of cinnamon. Toast crunch, if you will. Like a. A vibe of that. Sure.

And then went over to my friend's house after and had, like, a relatively chill night, which was great. I went to the Hollywood bowl early in the week, and so I got my fireworks show from that. And then I've just been watching World cup game. There's nothing more fun than the Cup.

Well, today, big game usa and the past game, there was a red card on the striker. And so I didn't realize. I thought, you're not allowed to play the rest of that game, but it's the next game, too. And people were like, that's bullshit. Messi did the same thing, and he's back in today.

Flo is back in, but there's controversy around it. The whole thing is crazy because FIFA doesn't have an appeals process. There's this Rule 27 they've now reversed. It's not even that they reversed it, they've just suspended it. So they've suspended it for a year. So basically, like, it's still going to happen. He's going to have that. But there's this controversy because now Belgium, they want to appeal up. Their appeal was denied. But then it also sets a precedent because now France is like, hey, one of our guys got a yellow card and we want to appeal that. And it's just opened a can of worms on this. People are saying, oh, Gan shouldn't play today because the right thing would be to sit him anyways. It's like, yeah, but if he has the opportunity to. And now is the wind going to be tainted if USA comes out on top? And just a lot of drama surrounding it. I personally think, like, yesterday for the England game, this one guy got a red card. And I understand the technicality of these things and, like, why these rules are put in place and what a red card can mean. But a lot of times too is the play is being played on the ball and it's not necessarily intentional to go after the player, but because of the rules, technically it does qualify as a red card. Now Baligan's red card, if. If anybody cares and still listening, part of the reason why it got suspended and because it went against the rules is because they used var incorrectly to watch the replay, to call it as a red. So that's like, part of the whole thing on it. But it just sets a precedent now because I think people are kind of like, what? Like, why is it fair here and not fair here? Me, like I said, I feel like red cards are really intense. And for instance, when we got that red card, we played down with 10 men and still managed to win. That same thing happened with England yesterday. They were down to 10 and they still managed to win. So it's tough because you're also like, I understand why on both parts. I think FIFA, you know, they're also a little corrupt, too. And I think there needs to be some, maybe some changes made in place in the next couple of years before we have this again. But I will just tell you, I am, like, living for this. I also was like, I can't go out another day to watch games.

Oh, so are you watching it in the house today?

Courtney
Well, see, unclear. Unclear. In my head, I would love to. But then I'm like, how sad will I feel if we win and everyone's celebrating and I'm not there? I'm having massive World cup fomo. But it's a big game, too, because the hosts of this, of Canada, us, Mexico, people have been joking, calling it the cum alliance. Canada lost. Mexico's now lost. We're the only host country that's left this. So there's also the pressure of that.

I am hopeful.

Are you gonna go watch it?

We will definitely watch it at the house. Undecided if we want to leave the house for it. We'll figure it out.

I think it's just been so fun. And Norway, they won yesterday. And Helen's my guy.

You know, I love a blonde man. It's been a really fun tournamen Norway, especially because they're kind of this underdog. It's been 28 years since they've even made it. They've never made it to this round. Oh, it's been 28 years since they've been in the World cup. And so it's just a big deal. And I love an underdog story like Capo Verde. They almost beat Argentina last week. It has just been so fun to watch these. And even when you don't have, like, a team that you want to win, you end up kind of rooting for a team as a neutral. I hope US wins today, obviously.

But I'm also. I'm rooting for Norway. I'm rooting for France. I just am having the best time watching these games. I think also, like, when you go out is like, we're all united watching these games, whether you're on the other team or not, like, rooting for them. And I just. I love the World Cup.

Yeah. And it's also on a nice time zone for us.

Imagine being England because it was delayed an hour and they had to wait till 2am for that game start.

Brutal, right? My. My friend Liter was like, I'm giving my London team the day off tomorrow. Because, you know that game didn't end until, like, 4:30, right?

That's crazy. Right? After this, I can put the Spain Portugal game on. Will it be Ronaldo's last game? Who knows? He's one of the oldest players in this tournament. He's playing against Spain. And Laminal, who's, like, one of the youngest.

I know, but I know. I just love it, you guys. I cry every day watching the games. Just, like, happiness. And I'm. I'm looking like, I think I need a jersey for every country

Call me cultured. Anyways, can we talk about the announcement that came from Farah over the weekend?

I was shocked. Farrah is pregnant, expecting. And the first thing that came to my mind was so excited for her. But then I was like, who's the father? I. I feel like that was the burning question behind it. And then I started reading all the comments, and she also released another video with her and her mom telling her sisters about it on a FaceTime call.

Oh, I didn't say that one.

Mary
Originally, I had thought she possibly had done a sperm donor, but the morally corrupt Faye Resnick wrote a comment, like, so excited for you too. So that makes me think that she is dating. Did she get back with her ex fiance? I don't know.

Which comment did she put that on? Which video? The one with Kyle and Farrah. Could it be her saying, I'm excited for you too, AKA Kyle and Farah.

And then someone in the comments, because people are asking, and Farrah wrote, like, more to come soon, so she is going to address it. I feel bad that that's where my mind goes. But, you know, I'm. I'm a Gossip Girl. I'm curious.

I saw this conspiracy theory that was like, they think she's gonna have a collab with a sperm bank or something. And that's the more to come soon.

Either way, however she did it, good for her. Sounds like she's very excited. Sounds she's, like, pretty far along. Five, six months?

Yeah, I think about halfway.

And then when do you think that call with the sisters was?

I think the call with the sisters tripped me up too, because if she had used a sperm donor, they would probably have been informed of the process.

Why not, though? Maybe not, because maybe she just wanted to make sure it was all going through and didn't want to have kind of the stress of like, where are you at? How's it going? Which is obviously them just being excited, but also the pressure of it.

Queens of Bravo posted, talking about what the new cast would be or the current cast and said, it's Kyle, it's Carl, it's Jesse, it's Mia, kj, Lindsay, and Sierra will pop in and out. I also saw that Bailey was going out with Levi.

It's fine. But I do think that we need a house tour because the nostalgia factor, as we talk about, we already new house. We're in a new era. We're in the final season for some of these guys. We just need to know what the energy is like. Maybe we could have Lindsay knowing she's back. Could Lindsay come sage the house and take us on a house tour?

July 12th is the finale of Love Island. And I'm sorry I haven't been watching it, you guys, but if. Can somebody tell me if. If they're still doing it after sun July 11th or was this past weekend the last after sun?

If they're around in the Hamptons, throw them in there. Let them just pop in as a cameo. They don't have to be part of the storyline. They don't have to Austin make out with two of them or whatever it is with this love triangle. But I do want to see Kyle and Sally on camera together. I do want to see what their vibe is like. I feel like they are actually good compatibility with each other, more so than Ava that I would like to see them together.
