Welcome back to two Judgy Girls. This is Mary from the Bay and
B
it's Courtney from la. And you guys, we are feeling silly today.
A
We sure are. We just had to start this over. But if you do want to hear our unhinged takes, go over to the Patreon, because that is a wild, wild ride. And if you listen to us every day, that is an extra bonus. And it's unhinged and it's what's on our mind.
B
And it's on video.
A
It is.
B
Which I think adds a little bit more to the unhinged to see our reactions in real time.
A
Agreed? Agreed.
B
Yeah. People are always asking, where can we see the video? And right now we don't have this on video, but we have our Patreon on video. But you can also listen to it on audio, too. It's for your ears and your eyes. Anyways, this week we talk about Mary's fake nail journey. We talk about community and World Cup. It's patreon.com two judgy girls. And speaking of community, it's because I have to talk about the fact that the World cup starts back up today.
A
It sure does. She's got on her jersey. You're ready for the next game. How many games are over the weekend?
B
There are four. There's eight teams left.
A
The weekend starts on Friday.
B
The weekend starts whenever you want it to start. Okay. And when you're working every day, it's always a weekend. That's how I feel. I'm wearing my France jersey today. I'm rooting for France. I will say Saturday's tough because it's Norway and England. I'm also such a Holland girl now in the fuck ass bun. And Norway is like this underdog. And so I'm really thinking I'm going Norway for that. But I will be happy with the outcome on that. You've got Argentina.
A
We've got.
B
I mean, Belgium beat us. So it's like, do you root for Belgium? Do you root for Spain? It's just there's, like so much going on and when you don't have a dog in the fight, in a way, I'm wearing my France jersey because it's my friend's jersey they let me borrow for the tournament, and every time I wear it, they win.
A
Oh.
B
You know, so I'm obviously the good luck charm.
A
Of course. Of course.
B
But when you don't have a team anymore, it's like, thanks, USA for losing. Because now I'm unburdened, I'm unshackled. I get to just enjoy the stress of watching these games with not needing a winner outcome.
A
Got it. Now what is your drink of choice when you go out to watch these games?
B
Depends where I go. So if I'm at an English pub, I'm going snake bite. Half beer, half cider. Love snake bite. If I'm going to like a random bar, sometimes it's just a seltzer, sometimes it's just a Coke zero.
A
Oh, wow. Okay.
B
Well, it just depends on the time of the game and like, obviously I've been also going out every single day to watch these games. I act as if the World cup is back on. It was all for one day. Yesterday was the only day that there wasn't a game.
A
Okay. Do you ever have a Guinness?
B
No.
A
Oh my God. No.
B
I'm not splitting the G. Oh, it's
A
such a fun game.
B
What is your drink of choice when you've been going out?
A
Oh yeah, I'll get a Guinness or anything light on draft I like as well.
B
Yeah, Trying to like slow down the drinking because this has really upped my drinking. But I also wanted to talk because today it's airing right now for us but Kyle and Lindsay are on the View and it's just there's little shows that could. We were there from season one, episode one and not to like call longevity on it just in the sense of I feel like there were so many seasons before it really got Bravo mainstream and now that it's Emmy nominated, it's really going to be mainstream. And before we just go on, I do also want to just mention too that Ariana Maddox nominated for an Emmy, best host on a reality show. And Tom Sandoval, he wishes.
A
He sure does. I freaking love Ariana. But I'm so excited for this View moment because you. My mom watches the View every day. She records it so she can fast forward. But I love Whoopi. I, I hope Whoopi asks Kyle some questions and kind of puts him a little bit in the hot seat.
B
Do you think your mom will call you and be like, mary, have you seen this show? They're talking about it on Bravo. Have you seen it? It's called like the Summer House, the House of Summer. Do you know what I'm talking about?
A
I hope she does call me about it because when Lou was on it was either the Today show or gma. She did call me after. I was like, this woman, she has a cabaret all over the world. I'm like, she does, Mom. I've seen them about seven times.
B
Do they introduce them as stars of in the City or stars of Summer House.
A
Probably both.
B
There's just something exciting about the success of, like, our little engines that could. Like when these shows that we always think are so big but in reality are probably not, and then they go on these nationally syndicated broadcast shows like, they. They're doing it. They're doing it.
A
And you know what? I got a little nervous last night because I started thinking, I'm like, okay, this really is the last summer for Kyle, Carl and Lindsay. And if the city doesn't get picked up for a second season. Yeah, I know. This is potentially the last time they will be on our TVs, and that is not okay with me. I know, but it came across my head.
B
You have to stop going dark. You've had too many dark thoughts. We need to push in The City Season 2. Sorry. It is good, you guys. You need to be watching it. Just because we need it.
A
Get into Kenny, guys.
B
Also, though, if this show didn't get a season two, Bravo would find a place for them. There's just no way that Kyle Cook and Lindsay Hubbard, who were made literally to be on reality tv, like, they are the prototype that there's not a space for them.
A
Wait, wait, I have an idea. What if it's a mixed love hotel and it's Kyle, Carl, Lindsay and Sierra, the four of them? And then it would be kind of interesting too, because Kyle and Carl could assess the men they pick for Lindsay
B
and Sierra to go on dates. Lindsay and Sierra pick the girls for Kyle and Carl. This. I. I love this. I love this as a one season, but we're going to make sure they have a show that has multiple seasons. But this. Mary, cute, brills. I love this. But then at the end, Carl and Lindsay fall back in love.
A
Yeah.
B
Toxic. Toxic. I love it.
A
And also lose the host. The only problem with Lou being the host. She tried to steal the Met. Oh, my God.
B
I thought you said lose the host. I was like, who was it again? Joel? Kim? Booster? No, Lou is the host. Luann can't. That would be too much competition. She would literally walk away with all the men. Every man would be ending up with Lou. She's like, here's a key. Be cool. Don't be all uncool.
A
The ages would kind of be a level playing field. You could do like 35 to 45 or something like that. It wouldn't be crazy. Where I felt like, Love Hotel. The problem was it was like 40 to 60.
B
Well, because you had Ashley and it's like, Ashley's not even the one who wants the young men.
A
It's Lou. Right.
B
I also feel like we need to find a spot for Wale from last season.
A
Yeah.
B
Like, can we throw him on a show somewhere, please?
A
Right. Where does he live again?
B
East coast somewhere. He showed up in a Potomac episode, so I'm wondering if he's out there. But also I'm thinking too is like, okay, here's a thing, guys. We got. We got Brain Thursday.
A
Some ideas brewing.
B
We have a show like Love Hotel. We have these shows like Queen's Court or King's Court where you have all of these contestants and then it's like some of them make a splash, but they're not going to go anywhere. Then we need to do a Survivor like show, some sort of competition show where these men and women, we still can see them. Because after that, it's like, I want to follow up with some of them and I don't know what they're doing because they're not on Bravo anymore. I think you could throw some bigger, quote unquote, bigger Bravo names in these type of shows. But where is the competition show?
A
Where's the competition show? But maybe that's why they're creating these micro series. So Madison has this new salon confessionals, and you can watch it on Peacock. It's supposed to feel like a little bit like TikTok. You're watching like a fast, quick mini drama show. So maybe they'll lead into those kind of things and you can follow up with these people.
B
Bravo, Peacock. Do it. I just want to. Where are they now? You might recognize them from one episode of Love Hotel. Where is he now? I need it. I need it. They can submit their own tapes.
A
I like it.
B
Yeah, just. You guys could have those for free.
A
The Love Hotel idea is very good.
B
Honestly, I really like that one.
A
And also all the people that come to the Love Hotel, they have to live in New York, maybe New Jersey. It has to be something realistic that. That they live in the vicinity of their real life. And since all of them live in New York, makes sense. Also, there's 8 million people there. I mean, we can find everyone that lives in New York. Don't they do that on Love is Blind?
B
Yes. It's all based in certain cities or states, depending on how many people they were able to recruit from one city. It's like Love is Blind Ohio.
A
Right?
B
The whole state.
A
I get it.
B
Okay, so as we go into next gen and watch what happens live. Last night it was Georgia. Then it was Lacy and Jesse. And in my mind, the fanfic is, is that Lacy was never actually invited to be the guest, but she worked it into her contract like she's worked into her contract. I'll be at the reunion. She said, if Jesse's on watch what happens live, I'm there too. Now, I'm sure she was invited, but just let me have my little fantasy.
A
I. I kind of agree with you. I feel like it was a big get to get her on the show. There was a lot of convincing. I mean, she didn't do it for one season.
B
Yeah.
A
Not one whole housewife. And she tried out for housewives 17 times, but it was a big get to get her. I like Lacy. I just. I'm really confused by her. And when she figured out that Georgia had notes written on her hand, I was like, that's so Georgia.
B
That is so Georgia. And it's not a bit. That's literally who she is. At one point, she goes, so I wanted to write notes about your show, which I thought, you know, that was really nice. She tried to do research so she would know, because she's also only doing limited research. She probably did five minutes before she was on stage. She was, you know, in the dressing room. But it was like, the Valley is a spin off of vpr, you guys. If you didn't know, VPR stands for Vanderpump rules. It's like, babe, you're on season two of your show. That's. We are on season 13 now. They're gonna be filming for that. Okay, we know. We know. I would love to put Georgia in a corner and ask her about things.
A
Oh, she is, right.
B
Yeah. She is so funny to me. The whole cast is so funny to me of Next Gen. They are all the star of the show, in their mind. This is their show. They. The world revolves around them. The show revolves around them, and yet that's not TR at all. I'm enjoying it so much. I told you in the premiere, I feel too old now. I'm watching these silly little kids.
A
So this week, I was like, oh, I feel old watching now.
B
I. I'm old still. But I just was, like, laughing about how silly everything is, you know, boys night, girls night. Just that we're going back to the beer pong place that we've gone to on Summer House, that we've gone to on in the City, and now we're going to it on Next Gen. I'm like, I bet Roni probably filmed there this past season too.
A
You're probably right.
B
Should we take a break and come back?
A
Yes.
B
Okay.
A
Courtney, this episode was called the man in the Lead Mask.
B
Like led.
A
I was wondering. This makes more sense, the LED mask, because Brooks and Charlie both wear it in this episode. I have never seen one quite like that helmet because Brooks, when he was 16, was told his hair was receding from a modeling agency. So he is trying to get that back. He'll be going to Turkey in no time.
B
Turkish hairlines.
A
Wait, has Seth done that? Does Seth have fake hair?
B
I don't think so. And also, I feel like Brooks has a really good head of hair.
A
I agree with you.
B
But then I'm like, push it back, Katie. Tell him his hair looks sexy pushed back. Let's see how receding it is. I think he has a great head of hair. How long has he been wearing that helmet for?
A
Because they're so young. Is Brooks 26?
B
Ma Max.
A
Yeah.
B
So 10 years he's been wearing that helmet. Was the technology even there? I have a red light mask, and I'm very bad about wearing it, but I do feel like it does work.
A
Oh, okay.
B
But I'm like, wait, Brooks and Charlie? Are you guys having, like, a lovers quarrel right now? There's something about the two of them. No, I'm kidding. There's something about the two of them. Charlie is, for better or for worse, so authentically himself on this show.
A
He is.
B
I am Charlie. This is it. And I feel like we are getting a catered version of Brooks on this show. And Charlie doesn't like that. And he's like, what's going on with this? But then Charlie also doesn't like that Brooks. Brooks doesn't like him right now, and so it's upsetting him, and so he can't always express it to Brooks. He has to do it through text.
A
When Charlie's like, oh, God, Brooks used to be so fun. He used to, like, get blacked out, barf in his underwear at the club. It was the best. And then he's like, hey, do you want to have a smoke? And Brooks is like, I don't really do that anymore. And I'm like, smoke what? What are they smoking? Do you think it's a cigarettes? Of course.
B
Yeah. Charlie was smoking a Sig last week when he was talking to Ariana outside. Okay, cigs are back, guys.
A
I, I, I was just about to say cigs are back.
B
We're not promoting. We're making an observation.
A
We have to be healthier than vapes, right?
B
Healthy in any regard to these things is a fine Line.
A
Well, because the vapes. I just feel like you just hit it and hit it and hit it and hit a cigarette. You go outside, you have the sig, and you're done, and you have to go outside again if you want to do it. So can't do it that often.
B
So what you're trying to say is that it's healthier because you're exercising. You're walking in and you're walking out, and you're walking in and you're walking. I think they're both unhealthy.
A
I agree. They're fun. Everything. Everything is unhealthy. That's fun.
B
Okay, Fun is unhealthy.
A
Healthy.
B
What's healthy?
A
Fun.
B
Working out.
A
That's not fun. No.
B
Unless you're working out to walk, to have your sig. Guys, this is all just joking around, okay? We're joking. We said we're being silly.
A
So if I go on a walk, my walk has to lead me to something. I'm not just, like, going on a leisurely walk. Michael, do you exercise? No, no, no, no. It's like, michael, do you want to go on a walk with Charlie? That means, do you want to go to have a snack and a glass of wine or. That's exactly what that means. But I don't say that. I say, do you want to go on a walk on the walk, I'm like, I guess we could, like, go to, like, cantina and get a marg. I guess we could, like, I don't know, walk down and get a burger or something.
B
You have a destination in mind? Always with a walk?
A
A thousand percent. Yeah. Okay.
B
You love a walk and talk, though.
A
Oh, yeah. My, like, ideal day is going on a walk with my girlfriend. We're gonna walk to lunch. We're gonna have a drinky. We're gonna split a salad, some fries, have a glass of wine, and then we're gonna walk back. And I don't know if there's, like, a candy store or, like, ice cream on the way, too. That's nice.
B
A little sweet treat, by the way. Let's follow up with your dream scenario. Did it happen?
A
Michael wouldn't let me use the car because we are trying to finish this backyard project, and he wanted to save the spaces outside for the people helping us with the backyard because they're removing a ton of dirt, and so I had to use Instacart.
B
It's not the same. I'm sorry.
A
I'm sorry about that. I wanted to, like, frivolously spend money
B
back to the show. Okay. I gotta say, and I think most of this cast, they are all stars, okay? But Ariana is a true star. She is such a natural. She's self deprecating, she's funny, she's gorgeous. She seems to have a handle on life. And I'm gonna say something controversial, okay. Because in real time, we know. And Georgia confirmed this on watch what happens live too, that Hudson and Ariana are back together. And I think Hudson is going to be holding her back. I saw chemistry with Liam and not that that's like her forever, but I just feel like there's something more out there for her. And Hudson could be in like five years down the line, but I feel like she really could thrive being more independent and like, just seeing what else is out there. I feel like she's holding herself back a little bit in regards to the love area.
A
But I do think this season she took a chance on herself and she moved out and she walked away from this situation. And maybe he did improve because of that. That is my hope for her. Because I. I agree with you. I think she is a go getter. And when she said my mom always says young, dumb and full of come, I was like, could you imagine if your mom said that?
B
Okay, well, when she started saying it in my head, I finished that sentence the same way.
A
Remember when she wrote who does Brielle have to blow to get us to the John Legend concert at Chrissy Teigen?
B
She's like, nobody. I'll just give you tickets for free. But, you know, I guess work the system.
A
I will say I'm. I'm proud of her for moving out because she obviously was like, Hudson, you're not doing anything that I've asked. So she's having her fun, flirty season. I loved this little double date that they went on. I thought it was super cute. Liam is a doll. I love that he has so many hobbies. Him riding that motorcycle and talking to the people in the suburban. He's like, and my back fall is the firefighting thing because I didn't go to college. He has all these movies or trying to be in movies and get them into festivals. He feels ambitious and he also feels spontaneous and he feels like someone you want to be around.
B
Right. And that's someone who's rich because all the things that he does are like volunteer stuff or things that he has to put money towards. Riding horses is very expensive.
A
This is true.
B
Producing these movies, expensive. Being a firefighter, it's volunteering.
A
Right? Right.
B
And look, I think it's great. I love a hobby. Liam has just like a really infectious energy. I agree. He's a 3am friend. He wants to be that friend. He told us that last week. And there's just something about the new energy of him coming into this group too. That. That's why I'm like, I want Ariana to have more just like fun. Not that she can't have that with Hudson, but I just think that a lot of things with Hudson was her leading. And I think it'd be nice for her to have someone else lead or her lead just for herself and push herself. She seems a little bit more. More fun right now.
A
Agreed. She. She lost some weight, you know, and I'm not talking about.
B
Yeah, well, he's posting my Lambo, my watches. Cuz he's doing the classic girl thing. I'm always like, no, you got to go mysterious. You gotta go mysterious. But like, someone will break up and maybe it's not a girl thing. I just see it more with my girlfriends. Or I did when we were younger. You break up and you want them to know you're having the best fucking time without them.
A
You're putting up those Instagram stories. You're like, I am out and about. I'm tagging the place. If you want to find me, I
B
am thirst trapping it up. I've never looked better. I'm having the best time ever. And then as soon as you're posting, you're just checking the story. Did he look at it? Did he look at it? Did he look at it? Did he look at it? Do you guys think he saw it? Do you think he saw it?
A
Can you guys post one now of another one of me?
B
Wait, post me and then I'll repost it. But then, like, he'll probably look at yours because maybe he doesn't want to look at mine.
A
You know, you have a good girlfriend if they'll do that for you.
B
100 and I'm like, yeah, let's take 40 photos. But I'm also of the ilk too. If I'm like, no, no. The best move is to move mysteriously. What is she doing? What are they doing? What's happening? You need them to know that you are living your life and you're not actually sharing it with him because you don't want him to know what you're doing, even though you want him to know every single detail, obviously. Silly.
A
Well, and then, okay, when you break up, do you want your friend to continue to be friends with them on social media for research? Purposes or would you like to cut everyone off?
B
I don't really care if they do or not, but I'm not asking for updates. In my youth. Yeah, do the recon for me, right? In my 30s and on, I still
A
do a recon for a friend. Still.
B
How many years?
A
Oh God.
B
Is she currently in a, in a relationship?
A
She is. She is.
B
I know exactly who it is.
A
I will politely ask, hey, I got an update. Do you want to know? And if she says yes, I send it to her. She's never said no, so come on. I do the Lord's work. I also do drive bys for her.
B
Mary's being a good friend but she also wants to frickin know too. She is just as nosy detective over here. She's a truth. Tell her. She wants to know the truth. And I think Mar also lives with like you should know the truth.
A
I'm just curious.
B
Yeah, you're a curious George. Yeah, you're a curious Georgina. You just want to make sure that like, hey, if you want to know the update, here it is. You are happy in your life.
A
But let me think, make you think
B
about this guy again.
A
No, it's just because we're both curious.
B
Yeah, nosy. No, rebrand of nosy is now curious.
A
I love it. Yeah, I love it.
B
Rebrand now. Here's the problem. We'll relate this back to the show guys, I promise. If you're an influencer like these people where your job is to be on camera, is to post, is to share your life. It's really hard to be mysterious. So if you have to, you better be living the most fun life because you are posting because that is your livelihood. And I worry for Amira.
A
I felt bad for her because I do think she does. She has to show her entire life and she's constantly thinking in content and it's consuming her. And then at this point she's bought this house for her mom and her brothers live there. She has her own apartment.
B
So she was happy to do.
A
Yeah, she was happy to do that. But at this point she's like, oh my gosh, it feels like a lot now. Like it's weighing on me. I have a lot of responsibilities and I want to provide these things but I need a break. She needs a break.
B
It's really hard too. She's burning the candle at both ends because I think Amira's very smart too. She knows that this could end at any point. So she has to get out there, take advantage of it while she can. I mean we know she's paying $16,000 in rent just for herself. She is living her best life, as she should, but does come at a price. And so she's just like, I have to think in content, I'm always doing something. If I'm doing this, should I be filming this?
A
I think it would be really hard
B
to be just a full time content creator because you do have to be on the time. If you're an influencer, a creator, your job is to create an influence.
A
It also looks really glamorous, but I actually don't think it is at all. I think it's really tiring. There's a lot of backend work that you don't see, and that's why not a lot of people are that successful at it. And she has learned to be successful at it. I also think she's smart because she's created a storyline this season. They have more storylines this season and obviously hers is about working too much, which I appreciate.
B
Okay, well, let's take a break and we'll talk more about the show, you guys, I promise.
A
Okay, let's talk about Gia and Christian. So first of all, did Gia buy this place for herself or she renting?
B
I believe she's renting, but I'm so proud of her.
A
I thought, like, she bought it. Oh, I don't know why I thought she bought it. I was so curious why he didn't live with her. Because they have been dating, of course, and you know, they have been dating for six years. And then she clearly offered for him to move in there, but he said no because he lives right next to his work, which is five minutes away. So he didn't want to. When she had to call him and ask what his job was, I think she didn't want to say what the job was.
B
Oh, no. I think she, like, literally doesn't know. When they put the the title and it said, like, junk removal, demolition. I thought this was, like, smart, though, because there's moving at such a fast pace. When you're like that age, everything feels so like, oh, we have to be together, we have to get married. And it's like, you guys are so young.
A
They felt so young in this conversation. Them having, like, dirty martinis and talking about who Brooke Shields is. And she explains Brooke Shields as Hannah Montana's mom. I had to Google if that was right because I didn't even know that Brooke Shield Shields played Hannah Montana's mom, because that's not how I know Bro Shields. And then I felt really old right
B
she's like, I mean, she's done so much more, but I feel like that's how you would recognize her. And I was like, oh, my God. There's something about too. Because me at 26 compared to, like, these kids at 26, you're not finding me drinking a dirty martini. I'm taking pop off shots at the pregame because I'm too poor to go to the bar. I have, like, max 12 drinks that I'm able to afford at this point. At 26, I'm drinking, like, smearing off. I'm shooting it with, like, diet Coke. We are pre gaming before the bar because we're just going to the bar already drunk. We're not having a fancy dinner with a teeny. I wish I was more classy like that, but let's be real.
A
I never was. Definitely not. I was on a kickball team on Wednesdays when I was 26. So I'd go out every Wednesday and smell like vodka the next day at work. Yeah.
B
And like, you know, the kids these days, they don't understand. We would be out until the bar closed.
A
It was bad. It was bad.
B
Mary, something about this scene that made me giggle because you and I literally had this conversation last week. Not on the pod, just separately. Was that Gio's like, yeah. So Charlie told me to say hi to you, Christian, because when Mary was here, I was talking to my mom. I was like, oh, yeah, I'm gonna go pick her up right now. She's like, oh, my God. Tell her I said hi. And you find that so funny?
A
Well, I thought it was really funny because you told me that. And I was like, actually, Michael told me to tell you hi. And it's a polite thing and all, but I would say maybe 10% of the time, I would actually tell the person, oh, yeah. I just want to let you know, Michael said hi to you, too. It's, like, such a strange thing to actually say to the person, right?
B
No, it's, like, sweet. Like, let him know. It's basically saying, like, oh, my God. You girls have fun together. I hope you have a great trip. When Gia said that, that Charlie said Christian hi, I started giggling because it made me just think of how we had that conversation literally last week.
A
It's just a funny thing to. But okay. So Christian's like, yeah, you know, I like Charlie. I just think he's a little misunderstood. And then Gia's like, well, what's been going on is Charlie and Hudson have been hanging out. But you remember from last Year, Charlie wanted to fuck Ariana, and I think he's kind of putting more of the moves on it. And then Christian's like, that guy's a snake. He will stab you in the back. I don't really want to be involved. And it's also interesting how much they're integrating Christian this season.
B
I was just gonna say this, Mary, because this made me think, is Gia trying to get him into the season? He's hosting the guys night. Does she want him in this season so he'll quit his, like, junk removal demolition job, move in with her and be a cast member on this show and make money from this?
A
Maybe. Obviously, Gia knows Bravo very well because of her mom. If the first season, they weren't going to pay him, and then she got it. So second season he would appear if he's paid. I feel like she's smart enough to know to do that because you shouldn't give these people up for free.
B
I just feel like Gia, she's waking up in the morning, think about so many things. How can she get Christian on this show? Because why is he the one hosting guys night?
A
I know that was very, very strange. And also, I just felt bad for Brooks because he didn't want to be a part of guys night. It felt like. And it was really because of Charlie.
B
Well, Brooks had to be part of guys because he actually had to host the pregame for guys night because Christian lives in Jersey. He's got sourdough cran fresh Meredith Marks, caviar for the pregame. I'm like, 26 again. I'm chugging pop off from a water bottle. I'm bringing it in my purse and pouring it into my drink in the bathroom of the bar. He's got caviar.
A
They are Nepo babies. I wish the show was called Nepo Babies.
B
Oh, that would be fun. I like the Nepo babies of the Housewives. And then I like the quote unquote, regular people. I feel like you could have two shows here.
A
I almost wanted to be, like, the New Yorkers. And then the Nepo babies really like Rowan. So she's a native New Yorker. Obviously her mom is Brooke Shields. I love Brooke Shields. This episode, she's like, oh, my God, she's so gorgeous. I just felt like they had, like, a cute little thing going on. And her whole thing is that she wants to be, like, an entertainment journalist. I appreciate that she, like, went to college. I feel like she's hustling when. When Riley's like, you guys take the subway. Everyone takes the subway. I've seen Andy Cohen on the subway. It's just the fastest form of transportation
B
most of the time for the claustrophobia in me. If I can avoid it, I will.
A
Oh, okay.
B
But I'm not a native New Yorker, and, like, my biggest fear is getting stuck on a train, especially when there's too many people on it. And, you know, maybe if I was a native New Yorker, I wouldn't have this fear because I would have grown up taking the train. And then I just thought, Riley is so rich from candy that she can afford to take the Ubers, right?
A
Well, it's such a suburban thing. Like, for me, because I do live in a city, I always check the train because I'm like, what's going to be faster? If it's faster to take the train, I'll take the train. If it's faster to take an Uber, I'll take the Uber. So mine's always because I'm running late, but depending on where you're going, the train can be faster because you have the tunnels and you're going underground and you're going to miss traffic.
B
There's something so funny and silly about seeing legendary actress Brooke Shields on one of our silly reality shows.
A
I hope Rowan and her go on watch what happens, live together. That'd be cute.
B
That would be fun. This is with Liam, too, a little bit, where Rowan, she's just graduated from college. She's moved back home, and she's like. And I'm writing a screenplay. And this brings me back to Vanderpump Rules season one, where they were all working at SIR because they wanted to be famous. Actors, musicians, whatever it was. And then they ended up being these celebrities because they were on a reality show. And so it's like this interesting dichotomy of, like, what's real? Of, like, oh, Liam wants to be an actor, but he doesn't have an agent. He can't get this in. So now he's joined a reality show so that he gets his face out there if he doesn't become an actor. Is being a reality reality TV star enough for him to have the name of what he's looking for?
A
I think taking the show was a great step in the right direction because it's something to put on his resume. And Bravo, we know it's cool to watch Bravo right now. So it's getting him probably in the right rooms with the right people, or
B
is he not even worried about that? And it's like, I'm just gonna ride this wave. Like, I'm looking pretty cool three episodes in.
A
He sure is.
B
Now, could he go on a casting call for a Culkin lookalike? Macaulay, Kieran. Rory. There's multiple Culkins. Now, Lena, like this episode specifically, I was like, he is giving me such Kieran Culkin succession vibes.
A
Oh, okay.
B
Not the character of Roman Roy, just Kieran Culkin.
A
Right? Yes. I can see this. I can see this.
B
And I prefer him without the mustache.
A
Agreed. Agreed.
B
Yeah, but he had good chemistry with Ariana. He's, like, down to do anything. He's gonna go to the pre game. It sounds like he's really also trying to push his friend Kendall to be on the show because Kendall does the double date with Shai. Kendall goes to girls night, which means that that's going to be the guys meeting up with the girls at the end of it. Regardless of whatever happens at boys night,
A
this episode be to be continued was so silly to me because the boys are gonna join the girls, like, and I feel like Charlie's gonna end up at it as well.
B
Now, I did notice that the girls were at Common Ground NYC. And we know that Kyle DJs at Common Ground East.
A
Right? We're going to Cirque Lodge.
B
I wonder if he's ever had a gig at this Common Ground.
A
I bet he has. I sure do. I sure do.
B
Wait, before we get into the nights, can we talk about the Yuck creative meeting?
A
I think she is on to something. But it's a hand sanitizer that's with you there.
B
It's like, if you don't want to wash your hands, you should use hand sanitizer.
A
You're right.
B
You've been saying, get the Purell deal, babe.
A
She's like, we are trying to make cleaning fun. We're trying to capture our generation's version of a cleaning product. So it's going to be called Yuck. It's going to be a lemon scent. Perhaps we could have a musky scent. Let's have pumpkin spice latte. Did she say a Mexican scent? What was that?
B
I think it's very cute how you say pumpkin.
A
Oh, pumpkin. I say a lot of words.
B
Oh, it just was. Pumpkin was really cute.
A
Thank you. Thank you.
B
I liked it.
A
I'm fine. I'm fine.
B
Then when she was talking about the steps, step one, who are we as a brand? What are we as a brand? You got to ideate step two is find the funding for it. Like how? And then three is sell that shit.
A
I just think that she's going in the wrong direction. I think it is a saturated space. I feel like it's super hard to get into, and she should just do a brand deal with these paces.
B
I agree. Clorox.
A
We'd love to do something again.
B
I wanted to ask you what you thought, because George is still pissed that Dumb and Dumber are trying to do Club, and she's getting an IP lawyer to see if there's anything she can do about that idea being hers, which I think she's not wrong in that. We have film from last season, but I don't know what the paperwork and the signing and I can't imagine they got anything notarized. That just doesn't seem like something that Dumb Dumber in Georgia would do.
A
Right.
B
But I wonder, when Amir says, well, why don't you just go into business with them, then? Did you like that idea, or do you think that that was a bad idea?
A
I think that's a really bad idea. And I think these boys are stealing her concepts. I think she did all the renderings with Omar, and he's moving forward with the project when half of it is her idea. And Watch what Happens Live. It looks like they've kind of given up on the project.
B
The boys can't get funding from Hudson. None of you were getting funding for Club Club.
A
True, true. But she did say on Watch what Happens Live that they are moving forward, but she was, I think, gonna come after them if they were, and she should.
B
But of course, they weren't going to do anything. Nothing was coming from this concept. They also have Charlie's job as crypto guy, basically, that he works in crypto, and I'm like, just put crypto kidnapper at this point. What does he do? What do these people do?
A
I love how he's acknowledging it, though. Everyone's pretty weary of me. I've been in the news, and he acknowledges it, but, like, that's kind of of where it ends. And you can tell this group just feels uncomfortable to be around him. Brooks felt so uncomfortable because Christian texted Gia, and Gia goes and whispers and has no idea. The cameras picked it up, saying, just so you know, Christian got a text, and it says, tell Brooks to keep my name out of his mouth. Which that wasn't the text. It wasn't just, Brooks tell everybody to keep my name out of their mouth.
B
Either way, Brooks is putting a facade on, and I feel like it makes him boring on this show because he has a line he wants to present. I feel like he's worried about his image. And how it might affect the family that poses. And so he's really conscious about the cameras. He's just a guy who does sourdough. Okay. And he's living a life and he wants to have this line. And then you have Charlie, who is like, like, what is happening here? Why don't you want to hang out with me? And I wish Brooks would just say, you know what? The crypto thing's weird. I don't like it. I don't understand what's going on with it. I don't want to know more about it. But that makes me not want to hang and. Or film with you. And instead is just sitting there like, I have to be here.
A
He's Marshall lynching it.
B
To be fair, he is saying, I'm just here so I don't get fined.
A
Right? Right. No. I felt feel bad for him because he's just like, not a confrontational person person, Which I can relate to that. I don't want to have any beef. I will feel uncomfortable the whole time, but I'm not gonna confront someone. So I think that's definitely how he is. But it doesn't make for amazing tv, right?
B
Exactly. I want to talk about Riley and her boyfriend because I think they're so cute together. And you can tell she feels really comfortable with him because she is just yapping.
A
I know.
B
Yap, yap. And he's a little cutie. They went to Korea, and that's a big sign when you can be with someone for two weeks and not go crazy. And they're so cute.
A
They were very cute. We really haven't seen a lot of Riley, and that end of the episode was tough for her. She clearly had drank too much. And that was kind of a theme last season. And I feel like it's coming up again again. So I was kind of surprised to see it, to be honest. But her and Ava have this really weird conversation at the end. And Riley's like, why do you treat me differently than Ariana and Gia? When we get into fights and then they're kind of going at it, but then Riley's, like, bossing her around and says, then give me a shot. And Ava's like, you don't need another shot. It just got weird really quick.
B
Ava says, like, you can thank me for the shot. You expect me to say please? I think what happens is, I think think Riley is a little bit socially awkward, especially, like, with this group. I think she's a little trepidatious just because she's unpredictable. So then she has like, maybe a drink. She like pre games a little bit. Maybe I'm gonna have a drink to calm my nerves. And she maybe, like, has another one. And then she's somebody that will let you know, based on her face what she thinks about you. And she can't hide it. And there's something about Georgia that just bothers her. Georgia's. Her eating chicken salad.
A
She gets the ick. Literally.
B
Yeah, yeah. Like, when George is trying to be supportive of Ariana, like, why is Hudson doing this? What are you a blog? Are you a blog? Why do you know he's not commenting?
A
And I don't even think that's strange. No, I. Comments that come up for you is because you have the mutual friend. So that's going to be your top comment. And you guys all live on social media. This is your life. Of course you would know.
B
I don't.
A
I don't even think that's weird. When I, like, meet people at these creator things, I'm like, oh, I just saw you went here because I'm online. That's not strange at all.
B
Also, you're her detective and you're a curious girl. I'm curious. But it feels like we're missing part of the Ava Riley conversation. And I think that they have a different friendship than Ava has with Gia and Ariana. Obviously, there's something about Gia and Ariana that Ava doesn't like, and I think it's kind of this nepo housewife thing, even though Riley is there too. But Riley lived in New York and she went to college there, and I feel like that gives her a leg up with the people who are from New York because she was there for a while, and I think that they just connected. And so there's some part of this conversation missing because Ava's like, we are good. We can have honest conversations with each other, whereas she doesn't have that level of friendship with the other girls. Yet Gia says when she's talking to Christian, like, I'm worried about Ava being there because they don't get along. They've already had beef this season, though. Riley wasn't at that event, so she maybe doesn't know. She's only getting hearsay.
A
I'm curious how much of this season she'll be in.
B
Oh, you don't think she'll be in much more? I don't.
A
I don't know.
B
So we asked this last week because it was kind of mentioned with Ariana's dui. Is she now on probation? It took three years to become to start the probation.
A
It feels like that. That's why she can't drink.
B
Okay, then this boys night, when Brooks was like, I thought we were going to have like other guys here.
A
I was like, you didn't think this
B
was just a filming event?
A
I know.
B
Who did you think was coming? And it's like, it's Brooks, Christian, Liam and Charlie. Because Shai has a dinner so he'll show up later. And then it's like Brooks, Christian and Liam come together. Then Charlie shows up and they're playing beer pong when Shai shows up and they start trying to find a cab or an Uber. He literally has a beer bottle in the streets.
A
Oh, I've done that.
B
How did he get out of the bar with that?
A
I actually. Yeah, I got an Uber fine for that. You want to expand on that? Not really.
B
The first two episodes extended. This one regular sized episode. To be continued. To be continued. Not a black screen though. A shot of New York City at night.
A
God, I'd love to be young in New York City. Oh God.
B
I mean, I was young in la and let me tell you, I think it'd be worse in New York.
A
It definitely would because the bars close at 2am in California. New York. Do they even have closing times?
B
It's like four, but also like. Cause I can walk to more bars like here. You don't walk the mile in New York. I'd walk 10.
A
Right, right.
B
Mostly because I'm avoiding the subway.
A
So if they stop at 4, then do they open again at 6:00am because the bars open here at 6:00am yeah, that could be.
B
Anyways, this is still a silly little episode. It sure is.
A
Well, Courtney, have fun watching all the World cup games.
B
We'll be back with Orange county later and then enjoy your weekend.
A
Sounds good. Bye.
B
Bye, everyone.
Release Date: July 9, 2026
Hosts: Courtney (LA), Mary (Bay)
Theme: A lively and candid breakdown of reality TV—specifically "Real Housewives: Next Gen" (NYC S2 E3)—as Courtney and Mary engage in pop culture gossip, Bravo fandom, and witty banter. The episode combines recaps, fan theories, and unfiltered opinions on the show’s characters, relationships, and production choices.
This episode centers on the latest installment of "Real Housewives: Next Gen" (NYC Season 2, Episode 3), where Courtney and Mary dissect everything from World Cup enthusiasm to the evolving dramas and dynamics among the show’s cast—the “Nepo Baby” cohort and beyond. The hosts maintain their signature humorous, self-aware, and judgmental tone, weaving in personal anecdotes and pop culture references.
Consistently irreverent, self-aware, and packed with inside jokes (“Crypto kidnapper,” “Nepo babies,” “Caviar for the pregame”). The hosts are equally judgmental and affectionate toward the cast, never shying from stating their biased opinions or speculating wildly—as much about Bravo’s business model as about cast relationships.
Courtney and Mary dissected Next Gen NYC S2E3 through the lens of Bravo fandom, generational differences, and their own lifestyles. The recap is part critique, part gossip session—a fun, tangential, and comprehensive look into the mechanics, friendships, and entertainment value of the latest crop of “Bravo-lebrities.” Both hosts continue to pine for more seasons and brainstorm new show ideas, leaning heavily into the world of pop culture with playful judgment.
For listeners new and old, this episode offers both a thorough rundown of current “Next Gen” drama and the cultural commentary that makes Two Judgey Girls a must-listen for Bravo’s most discerning fans.
