Mary
Welcome back to two Judgy Girls. This is Mary from the Bay and
Courtney
it's Courtney from la. We gotta talk about our kids.
Mary
Our children.
Courtney
They're doing it again.
Mary
I was like weirdly crying this episode.
Courtney
I think if you weren't watching Jersey. Like we have all of the back history of Gia, Joe, Teresa, the whole thing. I don't know that it would have gone over as well. I'd love to know if anybody's watching Next Gen that has never seen Jersey and if you were compelled by Jia's story or if the nostalgia and watching her grow up thinking about so many things and just like the progression of her life on camera, if that really was what grabbed at the heartstrings.
Mary
I think for me it was like so sad to see Joe would want to be there helping her move in and he physically can't because he did commit a crime.
Courtney
So I do understand. But I had empathy at the core of it. It's a daughter who wants her dad.
Mary
Exactly Like, I felt bad for Gia. I just felt sad for her in this moment and I was just like,
Courtney
oh, my go God.
Mary
Her dad's never. Where is she going to get married?
Courtney
Think she could do a destination wedding?
Mary
No, she's going to have to. She's going to have to do Italy,
Courtney
the Bahamas, go to the Baja Mar Gia. It's great. You'll love it there. Joe then can take everyone out on a boat. He'll give him a tour. It. That sounds like the perfect place to get married. Though I do worry from the mid season trailer, there does seem to be some problems with Christian and Gia.
Mary
I love that he doesn't want to be on camera. He is not in it for the fame. I think he truly loves her. I think they've been together a really long time and he's like, I don't really like this part of it. I. I don't really want to be on camera and I think he's just a normal guy and I think that's attractive.
Courtney
Oh, are you attracted to Christian?
Mary
No. But I mean, for Gia.
Courtney
Yeah, I agree. I agree. It was like sad watching it because at the core of it, it's a girl who just wants her dad there. But I. When she did write the pardons to Trump and she was documenting that, there is this level of naivety and like innocence that comes from her and thinking that that could happen. And then you do see some of the pardons that have gone through and you think, why not him? Because whatever. But he did commit crimes. They both did go to jail. And you know, unfortunately he does have to pay the price for that. And I will say documenting on it, I do think she thought her influencer status would help her get this solved.
Mary
Courtney, I'm kind of convinced at the end of Trump's term he will pardon this. I'm not kidding you. Because he's so cuckoo bananas.
Courtney
Stranger things have happened.
Mary
So wouldn't be shocked. I mean, Teresa was on the Apprentice. You know, she's got a personal relationship with Donald.
Courtney
I think she's already tried to use that. And I think he said, you're fired. God, if he just stayed a reality star.
Mary
That's a different pod for a different day.
Courtney
It is. So this episode was titled Left on Red. And you know what? Why aren't they responding to Shai? You can be mad at Shai, but Brooks having the audacity to say it doesn't matter if I leave him on red for a week or I respond the next day, who cares? I'm sorry. Sir, your resort wear is stuck in a warehouse in Austin. You have time to respond to a text. Your sourdough, it's rising. Respond to the text.
Mary
Well, I think the no response is the response. Like, they don't want to represent Shy's brand.
Courtney
But why is Brooks mad at Shy? I don't understand what the anger is because it's basically tldr. Shy has a crush on Ariana, which we've been calling for weeks, and they're all cock blocking each other so that they can be with her. And then he misrepresented what Ava and Rowan had said. But that's like, such small potatoes to me in the overall situations of what we live within these shows. And I'm like, you guys can't respond. You could just say no.
Mary
Brooks would never say no. He avoids his problems, and he feels above Shy's line, and he isn't gonna, like, use his, like, without getting paid. And same with Ava.
Courtney
They're like, I'm not getting paid for that.
Mary
I'm not doing that.
Courtney
But then they should say that, hey, I love you as a friend. Unfortunately, I can't do this without it being a paid opportunity. And then that's them saying no, because Shy does say they have more followers, and it's like, Ava to her. She doesn't have enough because she's always searching for more. Now, I have to remember these are our children, and they're in their mid-20s, and so confrontation is tough. But to say, hey, I can't do this without it being paid. Fine.
Mary
If I was Ava and Brooks, I wouldn't want to do it either. Sorry.
Courtney
But that's what I'm saying is just say, hey, I have to run this through my manager. Tell your manager you got to decline it. You got to decline it. I. I agree. I just feel like it's. I feel like they're trying to use what he did with Ariana as an excuse of why they don't want to talk to him, as opposed to being like, so we don't actually like your line, and we don't want to be a part of it.
Mary
I'm also curious. Like, Gia's, like, I have the best intuition. Like, I don't f. With Shy. She gets a bad feeling from Shy. And where is that coming from?
Courtney
And does she have the best intuition?
Mary
I don't know about that. But. But why does she get a bad feeling from Shy?
Courtney
Well, I'm starting to wonder, too, if they. Because again, he's on the Truman Show. So then once he's realized he's on the Truman Show. He's becoming self aware of what's happening in his life. Maybe they feel like he's clout ch and so they don't like that. Like, oh, is he using us because we're housewife children or we have followings. And if that's the case, then maybe they really aren't friends.
Mary
I think they're all like, how the hell did this guy get on the show? It's absolutely ridiculous.
Courtney
Where'd they find this guy?
Mary
I think that's how they're all feeling.
Courtney
It sounds like he was friends with Charlie's old roommate Dylan from last season.
Mary
Yes.
Courtney
And that's the connection. But once Dylan wasn't on the show, they're like, and he gets to stay.
Mary
I feel.
Courtney
Do you know how hard it is to find a guy to stay on a Bravo show? We have to keep as many as we can.
Mary
I think shy is harmless and cute and funny and awkward. And he, like, provides comedic relief. And he always feels, like, very stressed out. Like, he's super worried. Like, why aren't they texting me back? And it's like, shy.
Courtney
They're not texting you back because they
Mary
don't want to do it. It's that simple.
Courtney
Well, every time they keep showing a text bubble, which. Can I just. You guys editors? Okay. I know this show is for the younger generations. Okay. But who's watching it?
Mary
Us.
Courtney
Okay. I already have subtitles turned on. I can't be reading all of the text bubbles. It's really hard to read it all, even the captions when you're making the words different sizes. For me, I'm having a hard time following. I can't be the text bubbles. You got to read them out loud for me.
Mary
I know, it's so funny. Someone DM'd us and was like, I have to literally press pause so I can read the text messages. I'm like, I feel you, girl. I feel you.
Courtney
Yeah, that's so true. I can't keep up. It's like nobody's responding to shot. He's like, hey, guys, still haven't heard from you about that photo shoot. Because he's like, I will not take no for an answer.
Mary
Okay, let's talk a little bit about how everyone goes over to Amira's apartment and it seems like it's the next day after the Rocky Horror party, which, you know, I still haven't seen.
Courtney
You didn't put it on your list for the last week to watch. So wait, someone also said, wait Mary, you've never heard of the time warp? Let's do the time warp again. What?
Mary
Nope.
Courtney
Why do I ask? Nope.
Mary
No idea what you're talking about.
Courtney
It's no Mamma Mia. We know.
Mary
Amira set up this wonderful day after hangover.
Courtney
Get.
Mary
Get your nails done. Have a little facial. Brooks was disappointed. He thought there was going to be Botox. No Botox was offered.
Courtney
Brooks, you don't need the Botox. You're 26. Your face is smooth as a little baby's. And could that be from Botox already? Maybe, but don't do it. I don't think that preventative needs to be done.
Mary
I don't think so at all.
Courtney
I don't even do Botox.
Mary
I don't even wash my face at night.
Courtney
That's not true, because you had to wipe West's kiss off your face. So we know you wash it at least once. Just not the eyes.
Mary
My makeup is always flawless. But it's kind of interesting here because I feel like Amira doesn't really want to talk about the situation that happened from the night before. Like, it feels like she's a little bit trying to avoid it with the group. What do you think?
Courtney
Well, I think that's fair. I think she's kind of like, why is this getting brought up? Because, George, she's doing this to weaponize Charlie, and I'm the fault of it all. And, like, I'm the one who's getting hurt. And Georgia sent Amira's text message again. I couldn't read it that fast. I don't know fully what it says, but Georgia says to Amira, tell me what you do want to talk about. Basically, what's off limits for on camera and what are you comfortable talking about? And it's like, you want to know that now after you've said something that you know was probably off limits. Georgia, you are the messenger, and you will be shot.
Mary
I love Georgia so much, though.
Courtney
She has layers.
Mary
She really does. I think she's a really fascinating person. She hasn't even been filming with the group. All her scenes have been alone a lot. Like, we saw the cousin, now we're seeing the brother. She's filming a lot with her boyfriend, who they broke up.
Courtney
Present her not eating food in his bed anymore together and getting breadcrumbs everywhere.
Mary
They are not.
Courtney
Did his AC break? It is hot. It's very hot in New York right now, I hear.
Mary
I get it. I get it. Sometimes you've dated people for certain things. You're young. You're naive look, do I have to
Courtney
prostitute myself for a cold room? Sometimes. Sometimes. Now, to be fair, she is filming with Rowan while this brunch is going on. So we're getting the recap there. But I think Amira's already been so annoyed by Georgia that when Georgia's trying to bring an olive branch of like, hey, Charlie said this and I don't condone it, but I do want you to know that she's like, see, I can't trust you. And so, Georgia, you're gonna be on the outs because Charlie was your friend. And weirdly, Charlie is accepted by this group. I don't even understand the mid season trail. I'm like, wait, Ariana's name and ever gonna hook up with Liam because it's gonna be Charlie. Instead, she switched her first class seat to sit and coach with Charlie.
Mary
I feel like Page Six picked that up this week because of the mid season trailer all about how Ariana and Charlie hooked up.
Courtney
It's a canon event, by the way. It is a canon event. Everyone has to hook up with a Charlie in their lives. You have to. Okay. And it's a rite of passage and you just. You have to let her do it.
Mary
I know that she knows deep down that she is going to be with Hudson in the end. So right now she's like, I will play. I will be free. I'm going to live my life. And I feel like, good for you, Ariana.
Sponsor Announcer
Sure.
Courtney
I mean, Charlie's not the route to go. But I do know we've all had a Charlie now. Not someone who has tortured and kidnapped crypto bros in my own life, but a Charlie figure in that. Of course, you know.
Mary
Of course, of course.
Courtney
Just wanted to clarify.
Mary
Yeah, yeah, let's take a break and talk about Ava and her boyfriend breaking up.

Okay, so when Eva got to Amira's house, she has her sunglasses on. She was wearing some. What are those things under your eyes?
Courtney
Eye patches?
Mary
Yes. People Was wearing some eye patches because she had been crying all night. Because she confronted Hook because he was cheating. But she won't actually say he cheated. She was just suspicious. She thought something was going on. There were some red flags. But she also doesn't know what to do because she's living with him. She's like, I have nowhere to go. I literally have to give my dad money. So my mom lives in California. I've got to find a place asap.
Courtney
Well, she's on the Georgia train. She's with Hook right now because she needs an apartment. When she's like, we're still living together, I'm like, because you can't go anywhere else.
Mary
I know there's nothing worse. I feel like this happens a lot of times in your 20s, especially. Like, I know people in San Francisco. They ended up moving in with a significant other because it was cheaper, you know? And then you get some stuck in these situations, and it's just awful. But I think, like, that's super common.
Courtney
I feel bad for her for sure, because it's like, what do you do? Also, New York is very difficult. To even rent a place, you have to get a broker. You have to pay a fee. The 40x that you have to show that you make in order to afford an apartment. That's a lot of money, depending on what she's looking for. And I feel like for Ava, she's probably looking at 10,000amonth. So she's got to have 400,000. She says five, but let's be real.
Mary
She's five.
Courtney
She can't even get that money from her dad. Nepo.
Mary
Dad.
Courtney
I felt really bad for her in this moment, too, because she was like, do I not say anything? Because I have to trust Gia. What is your intuition saying about this? You have the best intuition. What is your intuition saying about this? And just watching her breakdown, we know she's in a better place because she's in the Hamptons, and she sometimes makes out with Kyle Cook. So things are on the up and up for Ava. But in this moment right now, I feel sad for her.
Mary
She's like, Kyle. So, loverboy headquarters. Does anyone sleep there at night? Because I'm kind of looking for a place.
Courtney
Yeah, I know. Amanda moved out. Did she take her clothes?
Mary
Is that other room available, or is
Courtney
it still a storage facility? Because I wouldn't mind renting it. You want to play bass at 4am I'm here for it. I love bass at 4am
Mary
I was laughing, too, when they all just, like, go over to her and hug her, and it's like, crew hug. I'd be like, lay off me. Get away from me. I don't want anyone touching me.
Courtney
I thought it was sweet, though, because it was. Ava and Georgia started out this season together. Now it seems like Ava is like, I think I have to lean into the Nepo kids because I myself am a Nepo kid, Just not from the housewives world. So I need to make them my friend. And I think her and Ariana are going to find themselves closer together. They're going through the breakup together. Ariana is such a special girl, you guys. She is such a star. I want her to succeed. When she was talking about that she would not be a good partner for parents to meet because of all of these things. I have tattoos, I have filler, but most importantly, like, my family. She starts talking about why she's not a catch. I'm like, stop. You are a catch. You are the catch of the day, babe. They don't even put a price tag next to you on the menu because if you have to ask, you can't afford.
Mary
She couldn't have been more polite to those parents. I feel like she was really going out of her way to say hi. Thank you for having us. The way Brooks showed up to that dinner, he had, like, a collared shirt and a sweater on. I was like, what are you wearing right now? It's like very like, Thanksgiving.
Courtney
Well, I think we are kind of getting to Thanksgiving. We're in Halloween.
Mary
It just reminded me of something that you would wear to Thanksgiving.
Courtney
It was like cosplay for the Upper west side.
Mary
Exactly, exactly.
Courtney
No, I thought this scene was cute because you can tell that Liam's house was probably like the safe house growing up, you know, where all the kids end up. His parents are always doing, like, Sunday dinner. Everyone can come in whenever they want to. Kendall, Jackson, the wine and Kendall, Jackson, the people. They are there and they feel very comfortable there. Guys, Kendall wants Liam, though, clearly, completely complete.
Mary
What is the deal with her? Because they're like, she doesn't really talk. I don't know why they've added her in. I feel like she's really bringing nothing to the table.
Courtney
She's. Alexi, what is going on with you? Have interviews. So are you on the cast? But then in the 12 person photo, you're not on it because she probably maybe hired you because they were like, let's give Liam a friend. And then you started filming that. She really is boring. I want to know more about Jackson. Jackson seems fun Yeah, I don't really
Mary
know what's going on with those characters. They're like a Katie DeLuca.
Courtney
Sure, you introduce us to them, but then we're not getting anything.
Mary
Right? I will say I did laugh when Kendall told the story about the matches in the fart. Yeah, yeah.
Courtney
He burned his. And the flame went in. Oh, ouchies. Ouch. Now, that is the difference between a boy and a girl. Because I don't think girls that we are ever like, should we light a match and fart on it?
Mary
I've never done that.
Courtney
No, me neither.
Mary
It feels like that'd be kind of a funny seventh grade science experiment.
Courtney
Yeah, but I feel like that would be a guy doing that.
Mary
Exactly. Girls don't fart.
Courtney
Okay, let's talk about this dinner, though, because we do meet Liam's parents and Seema. Seema's a star.
Mary
Oh, you think?
Courtney
Well, I think she wants to be a star. She's like, we cook. His father takes all the recognition. Honestly, that pasta looked bomb.
Mary
This looks like a beautiful Sunday night dinner. I would love to go on a Sunday night?
Courtney
Yeah. When they're talking about Liam's brother, I'm like, wow, they really don't look anything alike because Liam looks like a Culkin.
Mary
Yeah, he does.
Courtney
And his brother doesn't.
Mary
He was also kind of cute. Do you not agree?
Courtney
I think she's kind of cute. Liam, he told his parents, don't grill Ariana. Play it cool. Play it cool. But everybody here knows that Liam likes her. Kendall's like, everyone knows. Everyone knows that Liam likes her. When he pulls her aside and they have this moment on the couch, I said, young love.
Mary
I love that he actually invited her out on a date and called it a date. Like, hey, I'd like to take you out on Thursday night. What do you want to do? You know, it's like, people need to be more direct, right?
Courtney
I'll tell you guys at the ripe old age of 40 now, when a guy tells me, hey, we should hang out sometime, I said, okay. What playground would you like to go to?
Mary
I mean, it is. It's so lame.
Courtney
Let me take you out.
Mary
Exactly. I'd love to take you to a drink. Let's get a coffee. Never take me to a coffee. But nobody wants to get a fucking coffee. Okay.
Courtney
Some people might want to get a coffee.
Mary
No. Okay.
Courtney
Ariana's like, okay. He's like, asking me on a date, and I've already met the parents. Now, is this wholesome or a red flag? And I'm like, no. The only one that's flying their red flag is Charlie Ariana.
Mary
I think it was very wholesome. I'm very excited about them. And I loved the story about how Liam walks in and he didn't realize there was a test in high school. And he's like, I. I can't take this test. And the teacher said, okay, you don't
Courtney
have to take the test.
Mary
And he got to take it two weeks later. This happened to me in high school. It wasn't a test, it was a paper.
Courtney
So what happened? Tell us the story.
Mary
Well, the paper was due and I had not finished the paper.
Courtney
Did you know it was due?
Mary
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Courtney
Okay. Okay.
Mary
And I just said, you know, Mr. Lippy, I think I could do a better job if I had some more time. And he said, go for it. And that became a problem because I just kept putting it off and putting it off and putting it off. I think I turned it in about a month late, but I didn't get docked.
Courtney
And what'd you get? I have no idea. Oh, well, you know, that's an inspiring story for self advocacy.
Mary
I. I agree with you.
Courtney
That was one of the funnier things that Brooks has said. Let's talk about Brooks's resort wear line that is not launching on May 1, but is now going to launch December 12.
Mary
I did go on the website. I sent it to you last night. You guys. The website looks AI when you first see. It's all sweatshirts, terry light sweatshirts in many different colors, but they look AI when you first look at them. And then if you go to, like the second photo, it's Brooks wearing the merch. And they're about 80 terry cloth sweatshirts.
Courtney
Now, pictures that they show on screen are his actual website. Website stuff. So he's like, you know, it's when you want to wear pants and a long sleeve to the beach. I don't now it is overpriced and it's very expensive. And I'm going to be honest, I do think it's missing the mark. Lol. The marks. Lol.
Mary
Because there's. There's no label and you don't even know it's a Brooks Marks piece.
Courtney
It's not that, though.
Mary
What. What is it then?
Courtney
I don't think people are buying sweatsuits as much as they were in the height of COVID I don't think that this is someone that people are going to want to be spending extra dollars on in Covid. When we were all in our sweats and I could have worn something all black. A gilded, all black sweatsuit that just had ticker tape of Brooks Marks on it. I would have loved it. I would have paid an arm and
Mary
a leg for it.
Courtney
I'm not paying for it now because I go out so side.
Mary
I also feel like it just should say Brooks Marks across it in some way because you can't tell that this is his resort wear line.
Courtney
Probably didn't stick to the terry light,
Mary
But I feel like you buy these people's merch so that people will talk to you about it or you want
Sponsor Announcer
to be known and seen wearing it.
Mary
And then you potentially could talk to a Bravo person out or something like that. You know, it's like, funny. But you guys, the sweatshirts are $92, and then the pants are 82, and then the shorts are 68.
Courtney
And how much is the bundle? Because the totes are $52. I know that for a fact because I thought $52 for a tote.
Mary
That's pricey.
Courtney
I believe it's like $350 for the bundle. It just seems excessive. I think you make a good point that it should say Brooks Marks on it because that is the conversation piece. And it's like, utilize your name as a Nepo baby.
Mary
Exactly.
Courtney
I think it would go further. I noticed that things are not sold out at all.
Mary
The only thing sold out is the hats that are 48 and they do say Brooks Marks across it.
Courtney
You're so right, though. That's smart. And why is that the only thing sold out? Because it says Brooks Marks on it and probably is the cheapest of the group.
Mary
You're so right. The deal. The deal.
Courtney
We wish the best, by the way, our child. We wish our child the best. We want him to be successful.
Mary
The deal was $382, but he slashed the prices to 348. And, Courtney, it does come with two sweatshirts. One is a zip, one, and one is just like a regular hoodie. And then you get the shorts, the pants, and the tote bag for 348.
Sponsor Announcer
Deal.
Mary
That's insane.
Courtney
That's a deal.
Mary
Oh, my God, you guys. You can get the full resort extended edit. So you get one, two, three, four colors. And it's fourteen hundred dollars.
Courtney
That's it. Wow. What a deal. Fourteen hundred dollars for four sweatshirts. Oh, no. All the outfits in color. All the outfits. Shorts, pants, and a hoodie and a zip up. And the totes and I did all colors for 1400. Sign me up.
Mary
Also, if they have a reunion, he should wear this to the reunion.
Courtney
They will be having a reunion because our when Ariana was on Watch what happens live, they mentioned something and Andy was like, oh, we'll have to address that at the reunion. We had a Seth appearance.
Mary
Sure.
Courtney
Yeah. Because Seth and Brooks are in the store, which is why he can't go see Gia's new apartment. And also he's not going to Jersey until it's friendsgiving. Seth is Shark tanking Brooks like right now. He's like, okay, you know, I did a hundred thousand dollars for 8% of Brooks Marks. I wanted. Now where can I purchase? When can I purchase? I want to get my investment back. Brooks is considering a pop up.
Mary
Where do you think Seth and Meredith are living currently as we're filming this?
Courtney
A little bit of both. Wait, by the way, I was talking to my sister because you texted me the resort where. And I was texting her at the same time and I said something to you about like, this is ugly. Which, sorry, that's rude and abrasive, but here we are. And then she was like, sorry. And I'm like, oh, sorry, wrong. This is about a housewife's kids line. She goes, oh, is it Reid Marks? And I said, no, it's Brooks Marks. She's like, oh, yeah, well, Reed and I went to high school together. And I thought to myself, Mary needs to know this because they were not renting in high school.
Mary
Yeah. Oh my God. What did she say about him?
Courtney
Nothing. She's like, we talked about this. I'm like, I feel like I'd remember.
Mary
I feel like you definitely remember that. Yeah.
Courtney
So she said it was nice, but like nothing, no details on it. But I thought actually, I need Mary to know that they were living in Park City for him to attend high school there.
Mary
Yeah. Yeah. Glad I know that now. That's very important to me.
Courtney
Now, it could have been a long term rent.
Mary
I mean, you have to have a certain address to get into schools.
Courtney
Yes, but they were also there to go to school for the school year.
Mary
Right, Right. No, they. Okay, they lived there then.
Courtney
Yeah. I just wanted you to know that I thought that was important because you don't like when people don't live in the place that they film at.
Mary
Yeah. I just am really curious. When they go to New York, do they get an Airbnb? Do they stay in a hotel? Like, what's the situation? How long are they there for? They really are mo around all the time. I predict that their storage unit is in Ohio.
Courtney
Isn't Airbnb illegal in Manhattan?
Mary
Oh, maybe.
Courtney
So. I see them coming in for like a long weekend.
Mary
Okay. It's just like wild that they really
Courtney
have no home base that we know of.
Mary
They don't.
Courtney
Either way. I was hoping that at some point Seth and Brooks would talk about Charlie and Seth would say, maybe I should have another sit down with him. And then Brooks says, no, dad, no. He said, fuck my dad Seth's spray tan.
Mary
Well, he needed to take a shower. He should have rinsed before the scene.
Courtney
You know, I can't help but love that Seth Marks. Let's take a break and come back about Riley.

Mary
I mean, are you missing her?
Courtney
I am. I'm missing her. I think it's. But I also feel like, is she acting a little bit like she might be better than the show? She's like, oh my God, Atlanta's so much better. It's cheaper. It's a better way for me to reset. And I'm still worried about the fact that Ariana and her aren't talking.
Mary
I know she feels very lost. I think feel bad for her because I feel like she doesn't feel accepted in the group.
Courtney
Yeah.
Mary
And then she drank too much and. And made a fool of herself and doesn't really know what to do and is blaming Ariana for not getting her
Courtney
out of this situation.
Mary
She should have owned it more. But I'm worried about her coming back in the group. I don't know how this season's gonna go for her. I think we're not gonna see her that much. I've been saying this and it's proven true. We're already halfway. I know.
Courtney
And I feel bad too, because the Nepo kids, though I keep calling them that, the Real Housewife kids, they all have an understanding to protect each other. I think Riley doesn't want to show vulnerability in this group because like you said, she doesn't feel comfortable. But I think with like Gia, Brooks and Ariana's, they all want the best for each other. So I wish with them that she could take a step back and maybe we'll see that I think, too right now is Candy and Todd are going through their divorce.
Sponsor Announcer
Right.
Mary
And so that's probably about that.
Courtney
And that's probably taking a toll on her, too. And maybe that's also why she drank too much, is that she's looking for different outlets, not knowing how to handle it. Divorce is very hard. But I like, I. I like Riley, and I want her to find her way within this group. And I think her and her boyfriend are adorable. I love her friendship with Ariana. There's something about the fact that they were friends when they were kids to find each other again so late in life. Well, late in their life, you know, but there's something sweet about that.
Mary
I. I agree. Okay, let's talk about Georgia and her brother thrift shopping when they were talking about their grandfather roasting chestnuts on an open fire in Central Park. So, so silly then. And we talk about the mom. I mean, that alien story is really in my head.
Courtney
As we said, Georgia has layers. So she's Irish twins with Chuck. Chuck is 1.5 years older than her. He lives in Bushwick, so she doesn't see him because she only goes over to that side of town if she's invoiced.
Mary
I feel like Irish twins is like 13 months and less, or I would say a year.
Courtney
Under, like 11 months to me is Irish twins, because that means you're the same age. At some point.
Mary
11 months would be hard, but 1.5
Courtney
years, that just means you're close in age. Sure, but the editors have so much fun with Georgia because whenever she tells a story, they provide visuals.
Mary
They do.
Courtney
But she has layers. She's like, they're thrifting, and she's like, I thrift because mom gave us money trauma. And she really told us that financial stability is like the end all, be all if you want a happy life. My dad bankrupted us. He left in the middle of the night. And my mom's always like, it could happen again. And so it's really put upon that financial stability is important. Not important enough for Georgia to have a 9 to 5, but important enough for her to follow her dreams and do what she needs to in order to provide for herself and be happy.
Mary
Do you think Georgia is a hustler in some aspects?
Courtney
I don't know if it's hustler as much as it's dreamer.
Mary
I think dreamer for sure. I think she has. Has big ideas and she has it all in her head, but they never come to life.
Courtney
Yeah, I feel like she has a hard time putting Pen to paper for what's inside.
Mary
Yes. Yes.
Courtney
And so she needs somebody who's able to take that info and put it into a business plan. I feel like when she comes to a meeting for yuck, they're like, so what's the business plan? She's like, okay, give me one second.
Mary
It's all up here.
Courtney
But I also like that Chuck kind of holds her accountable here. He's like, you know, you've got Omar, you've got Charlie. Do you see what the common denominator is in your relationships? It's you.
Mary
Yeah. No, he did a great job. I enjoyed him.
Courtney
Yeah. And again, like you said, she's got to find people to film with.
Mary
I know. It just feels like the cast doesn't really want to film with her. But then I was so shocked in this episode to see Charlie and Amira sit down, just the two of them, without Kevin. And Charlie completely owned this situation. Amira sat there, I think so. And listened, and then was like, okay, yeah, we've been friends for such a long time. I. I'm like, what? I feel like that was the Upside down. I can't believe she accepted his apology.
Courtney
Amira talks a big game in her confessionals.
Mary
Okay.
Courtney
She always says, I cut them off, they're done. And then when she's placed with the person, she's very forgiving, which is fine. Like, it's one way or the other, but she's always like, oh, I'm gonna let them know. And then she has a combo, and she's like, well, let me hear you out. She's very nice in her conversations about letting them speak and. And getting their side out. And then she kind of just does it, like, behind their back, where she's gonna decide what she wants to do with them. I don't feel like she's ever very confrontational to the person.
Mary
Agreed. But don't you think Charlie completely walked himself out of this and, like, flipped it on Georgia? Like, did he manipulate Amira, or was he genuinely sorry?
Courtney
Well, I think it's a little bit of both. I think Charlie was able to talk himself out of it. I also think he was very vulnerable in this. But when we saw the conversation with Amira and Kevin that when. And they talked about it and Kevin did not care. He's like, should I care about this? And where she felt safe and comfortable with him, that maybe it wasn't as big of a deal as she thought it was, because she was worried about how he was going to react. And he was like, I don't care that. I think that, like, calmed her fears about the conversation. So she went to meet up with Charlie. It was like, she didn't have to go into defense mode because her boyfriend didn't care about the whole thing at the end of the day.
Mary
Also kind of smart to let it go because it's not going to give a lot of air, time and light because you're going to move on if you just keep on harping on it. It keeps coming up and up and up. Also, when she was talking to Kevin in the bed, I was so distracted by the fake flowers. I was like, you go to Michael's and get some decor.
Courtney
Like, what the hell was that? She's just a girl. She loves her flowers.
Mary
Oh, so strange.
Courtney
And I love, loved that Kevin was like, look, if Charlie apologizes, we'll move on. It's. It's no big deal. And he was worried. I don't know if you've noticed any Charlie solo scene, which is more like B roll of him texting someone. He's always walking the streets by himself in New York at night. It's always him at nighttime walking the streets alone.
Mary
I. I have noticed that I missed the skateboard, but what was the mocktail?
Courtney
I noticed that, too. I think maybe he was like, I want to take this seriously. I want to have this conversation. I think he was really worried about losing his friendship with Amira. She might have also been the only person connecting him to this group, and he needs this job, and they've known each other seven, eight years. I do think he does value this friendship.
Mary
He also knows how to apologize. He's a professional apologizer. So he knows exactly what to say to, I think, manipulate the situation so he's not in the outs.
Courtney
He builds her up. He's like, you have been nothing but supportive to me, especially lately. You still stood by my side when it was hard to. It's far easier to be on the rose, Charlie train. And the fact that you haven't done that. I have so much respect for you. I was genuinely upset that you were upset by something I could have said. And I think it was evil of Georgia to bring it up, don't you?
Mary
I know. So what was she gonna say to that? Like, I. She's like, yeah, I agree with everything you're saying. And how can I even fight with someone saying all that? She really wasn't given the option.
Courtney
You hate Georgia, remember? You don't even like her. We've talked on her, remember? But then she just says, straight up, Charlie, did you say what you said? This is why I'm like, was he completely honest? He's like, even though he says God's honest truth, he's like, I don't remember saying it, but I am self aware enough to admit that it does sound like something I would say. But context is important. I wouldn't say it maliciously.
Mary
Right. It was. It was clearly about the context of the situation.
Courtney
What? Yeah, it's like, what's the context? Next.
Mary
I know.
Courtney
Amir is like, I don't even want to ask more details. And despite it not being bad, Amir was like, my feelings were hurt and he feels really bad about that. And then Amir is like, well, he is trying. And Charlie is so loyal to his friends. He's so loyal. He will help you kidnap and torture a crypto, bro. That's loyalty.
Mary
What do you think is going to happen? Because it feels like they're setting us up that she is never going to talk to Charlie again. I think she will.
Courtney
Because I feel like on the after show, it's still George's problem. I think they live a life of. That's so Charlie.
Mary
Yeah.
Courtney
They go back so far is like, what does Charlie know? Are there secrets that Charlie has? But this is what I'm talking about when she's in her confessionals where she's like, well, there's only so many times. People usually don't get this many chances with me. Usually they're cut, which did feel. And we see it in the trailer. But is that misdirection? Is it at Charlie or is it at Georgia?
Mary
I don't know. The trailer looks great. They go on a ski trip, obviously. Charlie and Arianis.
Courtney
It looks good.
Mary
Okay.
Courtney
I also liked seeing Rowan with her dad.
Mary
Wait, so I didn't realize who her dad was because he was so much skinnier than when they did. Oh, I know him.
Courtney
He obviously works with Will Ferrell a lot.
Mary
Right? I mean, stepbrothers, right?
Courtney
He said stepbrothers. The Other Guys. The Other Guys is one of the best, silliest movies that I feel like does not get enough credit. It's with Mark Wahlberg when they're cops.
Mary
Oh, I love Mark Wahlberg. So I haven't seen it. What? No.
Courtney
And he's married to Eva Mendez. Will Ferrell, but he's like this really big dork and Mark Wahlberg can't figure it out. It's so Mary. It is.
Progressive Insurance Announcer
Is.
Mary
It's really funny.
Courtney
Funny. The opening scene will make you giggle and it's like they're not even in it. You have to watch it. It's so silly.
Mary
Okay. Okay. Sounds like a good one.
Courtney
Clearly, she's a Nepo kid. Her dad has a leg up. He's gonna probably help her. But he's also giving her strong advice about her screenwriting. She gets to live at home. She has eight years to figure it out because he didn't figure out his career till 30. But only one year to live at home.
Mary
No. I love when the dad just looked directly in the camper. Like, is this boring?
Courtney
Is this boring? Yeah. I like Rowan so much. She is our Greek chorus. She's like the Jim Halpert of the cast, where I feel like she just
Mary
looks at the camera.
Courtney
Like, you guys catching this, too? Like, when she's like, I have talked to Charlie maybe twice, and 90% of our conversations are about this guy.
Mary
She feels like such the normie. Yes. I love her. She's adorable. I think she's a great addition to the cast. I hope she stays along the road. I don't think she'll cause a lot of drama, but like you said, she has comedic timing. And she's like. Like, I can't even believe I'm on this show. This is crazy. I'm boring. But I am fascinated by watching these people.
Courtney
How did she even get cast in this show? Because she vaguely knows them, but did, like, Brook Shields call and be like, hey, do you guys want my kid on the show? And they're like, brooke Shields daughter?
Mary
I mean, I have to think they must have, like, auditioned maybe Shannon's kid. I feel like they probably auditioned a lot of people, and it wasn't hard to find.
Courtney
Oh, I think she's been a great addition. The more compelling characters on this show to me are the non housewife.
Mary
I agree, people.
Courtney
And Ariana, obviously. I need Brooks to turn it up a little bit more. I need. I mean, obviously we got Gia's backstory, and we are, you know, we already know all of this. I know she's moving to Jersey, and I think that's great for her.
Mary
So did she buy or rent that place?
Courtney
No, I'm still thinking she rented it.
Mary
Okay. Also, the amount of stuff that she had was so crazy to me. She had an insane amount of things. She just had a room at her mom's house.
Courtney
Yeah. But a big room. See the size of that tv, that was huge. But her living in Jersey, I need her to be in New York.
Mary
Oh, I'm okay with her living in Jersey. It's.
Courtney
Oh, so someone else can live in a different area.
Mary
Honest about it. And she's a Jersey girl.
Courtney
Always moving. Mary.
Mary
You know it. You know it.
Courtney
We need to get moving too. Another episode of Our Kids.
Mary
Okay, see you soon. Bye.

Episode Title: "Left on Red"
Hosts: Courtney (LA) & Mary (Bay Area)
Release Date: July 30, 2026
In this episode, Courtney and Mary dive into Season 2, Episode 6 of Bravo’s "Real Housewives: Next Gen NYC," titled "Left on Red." The duo explores the emotional highs and lows of the cast—primarily focusing on Gia Guidice's family situation, shifting friendship dynamics, awkward breakups, Nepo baby business missteps, and those ever-present text bubbles. With the usual sharp wit, genuine empathy, and a touch of nostalgia, the Two Judgey Girls give their unfiltered take on the week’s drama—heartstrings, hangovers, and all.
Courtney and Mary’s analysis makes clear that Next Gen NYC is equal parts nostalgia-laden soap and coming-of-age comedy. Amid all the brand launches, breakups, influencer drama, and NYC housing woes, the heart of the show—and the recap—remains the messy, relatable journey of “our kids”: finding belonging, chasing dreams, and learning when (and how) to say “no.”
As Mary puts it:
“You buy these people’s merch so that people will talk to you about it or you want to be known and seen wearing it.” [30:29]
Stay tuned for more judgment—and for the kids to (hopefully) keep texting back.
