I know this is really shocking, to be honest. I thought it had such a great first season. This is very disappointing.

I am upset by this. I don't understand the decision on it. I don't think it was also fair to put it with Beverly Hills to put it up against traitors, but I didn't hear any criticisms of it. I feel like people were like this show is Fresh. This show feels new. This is a different spin on Housewives, and it's upsetting.

[Mary]

I just know we can probably blame one person, and it has to be Margot. First of all, she didn't even live in London.

[Courtney]

Oh, my God, here we go.

She was a bully.

Oh, so you think her villainizing herself made the show worse? I felt every character and person. I know, they're real people, but every person was contributing to this show. I wanted to know more about each and every one of them, including Margot.

Remember my thought process on Micah from the beginning, and I thought she was Robert Irwin. And then we interviewed her and I fell in love.

[Courtney]

I knew you were wrong, and that's okay. And I think that's what makes the world go round, is that we need people to like and dislike all characters that we watch. That's what makes it fun to watch with everyone. That's what builds community. And ladies of London built community internationally.

I know this is really devastating. And when we interviewed Micah, I presumed there would definitely be a season two.

I do recall her kind of being like, make sure you say it, that you want it. So I had assumed that they had already signed on for season two. If you asked me to choose a show to cancel, it wouldn't have been an lol. I was laughing out loud with them.

And Martha, what a star.

I'm sorry. You're going to get rid of Martha. You're getting rid of Kimmy. Mark Francis, you're getting rid of. You're getting rid of Missy. You could get rid of Margo. I know you didn't want her, but that's fine.

I wanted to go. I don't even like zoos.

I know. And this show made me care about a zoo, and I hate zoos. This is just disappointing. And I think this is a bad move. And I know that they are bringing Real Housewives of London to Peacock. And so all I can assume is that they'll fire all of those Housewives and bring these women back on as real housewives instead. Do it because I'm pissed.

I'd be okay with that.

Yeah. Like, it just doesn't make sense to me. I don't think you should blame ratings. I know that's what we have to because, like, that's what makes money. But, like, don't pay them. They're all rich. Maybe pay Martha.

She does. But come on. This is, like, disappointing. Honestly, I'm more upset about this cancellation than Miami, and that's crazy.

Well, because they've already sold ad space against it or they have an hour they need to fill because that was part of their programming. That's quite a move for them to do. It's not surprising to me. I thought that something would happen. The guys were all at a Dodgers game last month, so it feels like they were like, well, we can't totally scrap this. I am surprised it's going to be on abc. I thought it might just be a Hulu only thing, but it just feels like we're just gonna watch Mess. We do love met.

So I think I will watch it via TikTok. You know, just watch clips. Sure. And not sit down to actually watch it. But I'll be in the zeitgeist.

It's tough, too. It's like you're gonna ask me to watch two hours of something I already know. But then I think, well, I'd watch two hours of Kyle and Amanda fight. I do every week. When I was in Summer House and in the city, I was watching it all. So I guess just like, do I have another two hours?

I also feel like it's this situation too where you're promoting her.

I was shocked to see that number four. That kind of blew me out of the water. Yeah.

But she's going over to OC So what's happening with the OG Secret Lives. And so I think this is a door open for Taylor to return.

A thought crossed my mind, too. I'm like, are they gonna put her on Dancing with the Stars? There's no way. There's no way. Right?

That's why they're airing it right now. To be in time for Dance with

the Stars, it came across my mind, but I can't imagine they would do that. Right.

We have been there since the beginning. This is 20 years of Housewives. The nostalgia factor. Seeing 82 of them, including one Nene leaks. There is something so exciting and celebratory about this. I cannot wait to watch it. I hope they give us 100 episodes.

We have a career because of Housewives. We have so much to be grateful for, truly.

And as we said the other day, I don't think there's that much infighting within the cast itself. There is one scene of Luann and Portia going at it a little bit, and then there's a scene of Luann yelling at Vicky, but mostly because she's like, what have these women done for you? Vicky, you are the OG of the OC you are the OG of the Rhodes.

She was building Vicki up. She was saying, don't let those minions put you down. You are superior.

What were your overall thoughts on from watching the premiere?

[Courtney]

You and I are gonna have two different vibes on this. Now, look, I enjoyed the premiere, but however, I did finally feel old watching a show. It was like, so silly. And we have in the City, we have Summer House, which I feel like are more around our age with the OG cast. And now you have Next Gen, which Summer House is like Sex in the City. And then Next gen is like girls. Oh, do you know what I mean? In the generation of. And so I'm sure this show is also to pull in a younger viewing audience, but for me, I was like, oh, my God, I finally feel old.

[Mary]

Okay, I'm sorry that happened to you.

[Courtney]

Thank you. Sorry. Yeah, I know, I know. And age is just a number. But not today for me.

[Mary]

So for me, I feel like we finally got our bearings. And I love that we're talking about last season. And I love that they think they're famous and they're not really. And it feels super meta. They all think they're a really big deal. And watching their social media and what they're putting out and everything is so thought out. I think that I kind of love watching. It's like you're watching the inside. Yeah, it's.

[Courtney]

Well, yeah, you make a good point. And it's just like things that are so important to you in your twenties are just so not important. Like the later that you go on in life. And now I almost am watching Ariana and Hudson in like a motherly way where I'm like, oh, God, Ariana, I know you guys are back together, but you made a really good decision. I'm proud of you. I think you actually do need some space from him. And I think, what am I doing? What am I doing?

[Mary]

I guess it's also kind of refreshing to not watch people getting divorces. Not have like these grown up problems if I know they're grown ups, but they don't feel like they are. It's like the Southern hospitality. Yeah.

[Courtney]

Yes. There's something about them being kids, which is cute. And I think that that's watching it through that lens is a really good way of doing it. It's like their big fight right now is because, as you said, Ava is worried about her reputation because she was called a liar on a podcast. Amira is upset because Georgia said that she Used Ozempic. And she's really. She. You know, she could be the biggest enemy. She could be a great friend, but the biggest enemy. And then the confrontation was like, okay, thank you. And thank God, you guys. I know he's terrible, but thank God Charlie's back.

[Mary]

It is truly shocking in the way that he's like, I can't talk about that. I don't want to end up in jail, so I will not be saying anything on camera. And stop asking me, because I won't say anything about it.

[Courtney]

Well, I think there's also still a lawsuit happening, and he's probably named in it. But, you guys, if you know me, you think I would kidnap someone? I was like, charlie, honestly, I don't know you, and I think you might. We get a lot of clips from in between the seasons. It's maybe that's why it also felt really. It was a lot of TikTok clips. Now. We saw a ton of familiar faces of our Bravo creator friends, and that was great to see, but it felt like it was so choppy of recapping through TikToks that TikTok was kind of another character of the show.

I'm liking that. They're also breaking the fourth wall.

[Courtney]

Sure. You're changing my perspective on this. And now I'm feeling younger. I also like the new addition of Liam. I thought he was going to be a little heartthrob for the girlies.

[Mary]

He feels like a doll. And talk about a person with hobbies. I mean, the man is on three hockey teams. He has a horse up state.

[Courtney]

He's a ski instructor. He's a volunteer firefighter, equestrian, motorcycle surfer. His hockey team's names are the Cougars. The D Hedge money. He grew up in Manhattan, but his horse lives upstate in New York. He's on a feet website. The man does things. He's an actor. Okay. He didn't get the heated rivalry part because he can't do a Russian accent.

[Mary]

Was that really true? Did he actually try out for it, do you think? Or was it a joke?

[Courtney]

I'm sure he got sides for it, but I don't know that he went far in the process. He might have just put himself on video and sent it in.

[Mary]

Okay, okay.

[Courtney]

He's also offering us a real life Gossip Girl. I like when he's like, what's his name? Chuck. Okay, I'm not gonna pretend like I don't know his name. It's Chuck Bass.

[Mary]

He was adorable. Okay. This is also very strange because we already know in real Time that Ariana and Hudson are back together.

[Courtney]

Well, and then I wonder too, is it put on for the show? That's also one of the storylines. Did Hudson and Ariana break up? Because you know what? Ava has never seen a joint statement. I said, baby, you just wait. Talk about the joint statement. You're gonna get two days apart. Okay.

[Mary]

I was also thinking about that. I feel like a lot of celebrities do a joint statement, but I guess she was saying, are they big enough to have to do a joint statement?

[Courtney]

Except that she also thinks she's big enough to be so concerned about her reputation. She wants a hundred thousand followers on Tik Tok, and at this point, she has 18.8. I checked today, she has 20,000 today. But she is bigger on Instagram. She has 124,000. But I think she wants to be big on TikTok tok. And what did you say about social media platforms?

[Mary]

You can only be big on one.

[Courtney]

And that's what we tell ourselves daily.

[Mary]

It's. It's true. It's true. Like, you're either gonna be great on TikTok or you're gonna be great on Instagram. You can't be both.

[Courtney]

Yeah, pick one. Are they big enough? I think they're big enough.

[Mary]

To me, I like that they put it out there. And I think it's hilarious that everyone's like, there is no way they're actually broken up. Absolutely not. They are trying to create a storyline. We just picked up cameras. And then they come to find out that she actually moved out and that Hudson is living there alone. They're like, okay, well, actually, I'm gonna backtrack a little bit. It does appear that they have broken up.

[Courtney]

I know. That was pretty funny because they're like, absolutely not. And then she's like, so I do have a deal with Roadway Mo. I know that Amanda used Piece of cake. But I'm going to use Roadway Moving. And so in order to get my moving for free, I do have to post a video.

[Mary]

Right. It seems like they broke up because Ariana's like, you have no ambition. You aren't into anything. You're not bettering your life. And I feel like for Ariana, she is really hustling, and she knows that this could go away. I've seen this with my mom, so, like. Like, I need to capitalize on this moment. And she's like, and you don't have any ambition and drive, so I'm kind of gonna go the other way.

[Courtney]

I was proud of her too, because I Mean, he has money, right? He's the Zaxby's heir. And Ariana, as you said, she's a hustler. She wants to go to New York, I think, learning a lot about how her parents stole from her last season and how he could break up with me any day. It's nice that he's supplying more of the rent or he pays for X, Y and Z. But I also want someone who has pass. And, like, money doesn't buy happiness. It will for me, though. Me personally, I will be happy.

[Mary]

It can help in a lot of ways, I would say it makes life a little less stressful, I think. But I guess it can't buy you love or class.

[Courtney]

I hear money can't buy your class. I believe she performs at Kyle Richards White party in. She does the reunion thing. Thank God. But I was just proud of our Ariana. I feel motherly for her. There's something about, like, even having Brielle there because it was Ariana's birthday. That was the same day as Amira's party. Even having Brielle there, I was kind of like, brielle, don't. This is her show.

[Mary]

See, I kind of enjoy the siblings because I think that's authentic. I think they are good buddies. And it was Ariana's real birthday, so her sister came to New York, work for it. I don't think Brielle was being thirsty in that moment. I also think we're gonna see Gia and her sisters film this season, and they're very close. I love that we see Brook's sister as well. I think that's fun. I think that's authentic.

[Courtney]

Okay, fine. I'm protective of Ariana for no reason. It was mostly because of that carpet. They, her and Brooks were so cute at Bravocon on the carpet. And I felt bad for them when they were like, where do we go? And maybe that's just why I feel protective over them, because I had to see, and that feels parasocial and creepy.

[Mary]

Courtney was taking Brooks and Ariana. They didn't have, as she calls them, handlers. And they didn't really know how to walk this carpet because it was a little bit of chaotic. So Courtney was like, okay, now you're gonna go over here. She really mothered them and made sure they got to the right next place.

[Courtney]

Is that where it's coming from? Subconsciously then? Did I just figure it out?

[Mary]

It must be.

[Courtney]

Why do I care so much?

[Mary]

You're just thoughtful.

[Courtney]

What did you think about, though? She's telling the group she does not talk to him. They flashback. There is a FaceTime where he's like, I gotta make sure people know you're my woman. You can keep the key. You can always come over to my apartment. Do you think this is, like, something that's maybe happened before and it's like, we're gonna break up, we're gonna get back together, or do you think he was pushing a little too hard and she needs to spread her wings and fly?

[Mary]

I think they've been on and off for a decade, and I think they always end up coming back to each other. And I feel like she was like, I'm gonna take off right now because you have no ambition. She was kind of scaring him knowing that she would come back. And it does feel like it's like a trial separation in some ways. Like, why would he be saying to her all these things like, can I get you a drink? Like, he's trying to win her back. So I feel like she left the door open for that.

[Courtney]

Yeah, well. And I also think he's like, sees Liam and he's like, wait, Liam, Charlie and I are all kind of different versions of each other and looks wise. Like, I feel like they're all these, like, dirty blonde, 20s, 30s, whatever, and they all kind of look alike to me. Like, oh, and he told me his hobbies. There's a lot of them, and I don't have a single hobby. Is he gonna be my replacement? Because it does sound like in the season she hooks up with both of them at one point. Which. Good for you, girl. Be in your time.

[Mary]

I am so curious about the Liam situation and the Charlie situation. And is she doing it to make Hudson jealous or is she just genuinely interested? The way that Charlie is coming for Hudson is creepy. He clearly wants to hang out with him. So Hudson will buy everything because, remember, Charlie's poor.

[Courtney]

I didn't think about that angle until Georgia said it. Oh, he's doing with Hudson what he did with Omar. And the fact that Omar and Charlie are going to steal Club Club. The idea from Georgia. How dare you? And you know who's going to be first at Club Club? Kenny and his dad.

[Mary]

They love a bowling. They love bowling.

[Courtney]

Bowling. So Georgia is on to something. You guys are going to steal Club Club from under Georgia's. No. Absolutely not. That.

[Mary]

I was shocked to hear about Georgia and her ed. I didn't think about that at all.

[Courtney]

Oh, there were some concerning photos, so it sounds like she went and got help. So I think maybe the show has helped her In a way, there's something about Georgia. I want her to win. I want her to win.

[Mary]

I'm a little bit worried because I think she was so quirky and zany and silly last season, and even in her new confessional, she looks different.

[Courtney]

She got some lip filler.

[Mary]

She put a little in her lips, and I'm like, no, Georgia, just be yourself. I'm worried.

[Courtney]

And, like, the fact that Ava and Georgia have decided to be friends because they're not part of the Nepo crew. I would call them the housewives.

[Mary]

Hey, that. I was wondering how that friendship transpired. That does make a little bit more sense. They're kind of the outsiders in a way. But it feels interesting that Ava is really leaning into this villain role.

[Courtney]

Does she think she's the villain?

[Mary]

I think so.

[Courtney]

No, I don't think she does.

[Mary]

Oh, really?

[Courtney]

I forgot that she was dating that guy named Hook. And the reason why she's not friends with Charlie right now, besides the crypto thing, which people seemingly. That could just be the main reason, guys. That could be the main reason. It doesn't really need to be what he did and what he's done. The crypto thing could be why none of you want to talk to Charlie. That is. Is fine. But I forgot she's dating this guy Hook, and I'm like, are they still together? Because I do feel like there was something going on with Kyle Cook.

[Mary]

Now you've made that up.

[Courtney]

I know.

[Mary]

I don't think there was anything going on with Kyle Cook and Ava. I really don't. I'd be shocked. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd be shocked. And I think you have tried to get some traction on this story.

[Courtney]

I've had a few agreements in the. In the dms. I've had a few agreements. She's been at a couple of his shows. She's behind the DJ booth. But then I'm like, oh, well, maybe she's still dating this guy. I don't know. I don't know.

[Mary]

No, I don't think she is. Where is she living?

[Courtney]

Well, she paid her half of the rent. She does want everyone to know it's her dad. That's poor, not her.

[Mary]

Well, then I'm like, so, did you give your dad half the rent? And then your dad was pocketing that money and not paying any of the rent? What's the story here?

[Courtney]

Oh, and didn't she also have roommates?

[Mary]

This isn't adding up.

Yeah, something's going on with it. When you search Ava Dash the first thing that pops up is eviction. And in my head I'm like, I feel like I would rather the first thing to pop up, that I'm a liar.

Right?

Like, I think if my name is being googled and it's either eviction or liar that I can choose from, I'm like, I'd like to be a liar because the lie is that I'm saying Gia's mom, Teresa Giudice, followed and unfollowed me. That's the lie. That's what you're worried about. Your reputation is if you've lied about someone following and unfollowing you.

That was truly wild. Also, I just wouldn't go against them out of anybody to go against, especially within. Bravo.

I love to see more of Amira. I feel like we only got like a glimpse of her last season and this season they're diving all in. And her holding this Ozempic comment against Georgia is truly insane because I think Georgia was on to something and I think she was really upset because she thought she was hitting on her boyfriend. And that really was the, the true part of the story. And then when she confronts her about it, it's like she's right.

Yeah. The whole thing. We're preparing oh, Zambic. Oh, Zambic Ozempic. And I'm like, okay, it's not that big of a deal. Move on. Also, I forgot about that even being something. It's like the Streisand effect. And then when George is like, well, I heard through the gay grapevine that was hysterical.

[Mary]

The way they set that up.

[Courtney]

It was so funny. She's like, it's domestic and international. She was told from somebody in a different country because this operates like the CIA. I'm not going to reveal my sources from the Gay grapevine, but I know that she's mad. And then when Amir was like, oh, like I didn't even know she would even like knew about that because it's such not a big deal. And then we get flashbacks to never before seen from last season. And I'm like, oh, it is a big deal. But she can't say that. Okay. It's all making sense now. That confrontation was so lackluster. Lackluster. This is an extended episode of a premiere. We spend the good first hour talking about how she is going to confront her. I don't know if it's going to happen at a birthday party because like Ava, I think she might have respect for birthday parties. It's technically a work event. Who are the sponsors?

But at the after party we can talk about this. It's a country night. I have to Say country. Like, I can't say C u n T. Okay. They are making me laugh, these kids.

That. Oh, that's a good question. But wait, I think all of them are comedic relief. Charlie at one point is wearing sunglasses. He's like, oh, my God, I can't see anything with these sunglasses. Like, it. It's night time. It's literally night time. They even paused to show us the moon. Like, they are all so funny because of what you're saying. And I think I have to watch it through that lens and then it'll change my whole perspective.

[Mary]

Aya's package was hysterical. He's like, I. I thought I was on Punked the entire last season. I was waiting for Ashton to come out. I can't believe you guys are actually filming me. I can't believe I'm part of this group. And because of that, I will put on this horse costume and give everyone a good giggle.

[Courtney]

But I'm confused why people have beef with him on this show. It felt like there was some drama that he had because his only connection was with Dylan. And then Dylan left New York. And as Charlie told us, then it's like Dylan left his dog and now we all have to take care of him.

[Mary]

I think they're like, how is this guy on the show? He's a nobody. I think they all think of themselves as influencers. Nepo babies. They hold themselves to a higher standard and they're like, and this guy's gonna

be a part of it?

How does he fit in?

[Courtney]

He has a real job. He was an agent assistant. How is he on the cast? What do you mean? He has a 9 to 7. He couldn't film with us because he was at literal work at a desk. None of us have desks. We have vanities.

That's a very valid point. Do you think that Charlie's dad will film this season?

[Courtney]

Oh, I hope so.

[Mary]

Do you think Charlie got a new roommate?

[Courtney]

Yeah. Where's Charlie living? Is he living at the box?

[Mary]

Oh, that kind of came up too, though, about. Did he stay at that crypto place for a couple months?

Oh, so he wasn't kidnapping people. He was just living there for a hot second.

[Mary]

I wouldn't be surprised. That kid is wheeling in dealing. I am sure there's been times where he doesn't have a apartment and he kind of couch surfs, stays at his dad's, kind of just goes all around.

[Courtney]

He's.

[Mary]

He's definitely a drifter.

[Courtney]

He's like, hudson, Ariana moved out. Does that mean you have an extra bedroom? He's like, no. So we lived in the same bedroom. He's like, well, you got a couch. I will crash on it. It'll be so fun. And Ariana, even though she's gonna be like a bad girl later in the season and hook up with him, she's like, hudson, stay away from him. He is bad news.

[Mary]

She does feel very protective over Hudson. I feel like he doesn't have the street smarts that Ariana maybe has.

[Courtney]

He did a lot for Ariana. He was like, okay, we can move to new. Okay, you have the opportunity to be on the show. He says at one point, am I even interesting enough to film alone? Because the boys were late to the pre party. I think he is a little bit lost. And Ariana led him a lot of ways. And she's kind of like, I would like you to be the leader. I would like for you to, like, push us. I would like to see you take initiative. Like, I don't want to be having a clothing line with you, but it's really just you giving me money to have this dream when she's like, like,

[Mary]

I mean, when Ava said I didn't really have fashion, I kind of understood it. And we aren't moving forward with the fashion line, so I don't want to

[Courtney]

tell her that she was right. Also, at the end too, the confessionals are funny when they put two of them together. So they have like, Ariana and Gia together and they're talking about Ava and they're like, wait, she's mad at us? I thought we were mad at her. What is she mad at us like? And then Ava's like, I don't even know what they're mad at me for. Like, what? Back and forth just made me laugh. It's like they really are so silly.

[Mary]

So silly. And noticeably absent. Riley is not in the entire episode.

[Courtney]

She was in Tokyo at a Club. Remember she FaceTime, Zamir and Ariana. At one point they said, I just

[Mary]

wish they would have, like, inner stitched her in some way in this chaotic tick tock universe.

[Courtney]

I think what the hard part of following this premiere too is it was like, cut, cut, cut, cut, cut. Because we're Filming over like one to two days before the party. The party's the main event. We're all waiting for it. And so it was like, scene, scene, scene, scene. Usually I feel like premieres don't really do anything. It's just us like catching up. But there was a lot to catch up on here.

[Mary]

I also feel like this is the way that Bravo is trying to bring in a younger audience. And I think people now, Gen Z watch so much on TikTok, so maybe they're trying to do fast, fast moving scenes to keep people stimulated for a younger audience.

[Courtney]

I'm like, wait, do I have an attention span then? Wow, I'm learning so much about myself watching these children on tv. The whole group chat. Charlie left, nobody acknowledged it and nobody's added him back. But then there's also Shy Brooks and Ava. And Ava doesn't even understand how that group chat started because she's mad at shy. She was rude to Ariana and Gia at a press event. So they're not talking to each other and they're not in a group chat. But then it was like also giving self absorbed. But Ava also thinks she. She's like, better than us. And then Ava is like, well, okay, well, Teresa was following me and now she's not following. So I'm mad at the girls for that. I'm not a liar. Just so silly.

[Mary]

The beauty of this show is there isn't big problems.

[Courtney]

Except that there is a problem because Charlie was part of a kidnapping crypto scandal. But we can't talk about that. We have to resort to the small problems, like is Brooks's sourdough bread going to be tasty?

[Mary]

I think so.

[Courtney]

Also, Liam came over to Brooks's pre party and the pre parties were funny because you've got Gia, who's crossing over Manhattan completely to get over to Brooklyn from Jersey. Hudson's got Shy and Charlie and at Brooks, Liam brings his friends Kendall and Jackson. And the Gen Z's not going to understand the wine brand of Kendall Jackson.

[Mary]

Yes, yes, yes.

[Courtney]

And so it just makes me also laugh too, because you know when you watch like a kids movie and there's an adult joke in there? Oh, that's like that to me. Felt like it was like an Easter egg for the adults. Like, here are my friends, Kendall and Jackson.

Who do you think is watching this show? Like what age demo?

[Courtney]

I would say younger, 30s. It's probably us though.

That feels like a really long time to be on probation.

Right, but now she doesn't have to be on probation. She can have drinks. But I also thought she was drinking last season.

I was confused by that.

Yeah, I'm like, dive deeper into that because Ariana's a star.

so likable about him. Even though he's bad, I can't help but want more of him on screen because he's such a Scott Disick to me. I don't like him, but I like him.

Well, he's fascinating. He's slimy. You won't put anything past him. What's gonna happen next? Also, him not having finances but living beyond his means is kind of interesting. And I think he literally, like, tricks people into buying things for him.

[Courtney]

He's a salesman. Watching him sit on a park bench with Amira because somebody has to talk to Charlie before the party, and him being like, yeah. Brooks and I, everything's fine. It's no big deal. Whatever will always be cool. And Amir is like. So actually, he's like, what? And he all of a sudden goes fully activated where he's like, no, we're not cool now. What? It's like, I love it.

Because what's happening here, it's too much. And then when he's mad at Seth. Why is he mad at Seth? My dad.

What do you mean? Also, is Riley gonna talk about the Todd and Candy divorce this season, or

Oh, that's a good point, too.

There's a lot of drama coming, and I'm changing my perspective.
