A
Welcome back to two Judgy Girls. This is Mary from the Bay, and
B
it's Courtney from la. And we are now on the back half of the season of Real Housewives of Rhode Island.
A
Say it ain't so.
B
It's like every episode that airs means we have one less. And I do understand that that is how math works. However, when you start a season and you have more episodes left than you have that have aired, it feels like we have gifts coming. And now I just am worried every time I count down, it's going by
A
too fast for me. I'm obsessed with all of them. And the best part of this episode to me was Rula in bed. Do you think they were like, I'm sorry, if you are not going to film and you are sick, we have to come to your house? They forced her to do this.
B
Yeah. Something's going on because she's so sick. She's so sick she has to go by ambulance to the hospital, and she has a full face of makeup on. I was like, well, that is a housewife. Okay. She said, if you bring the cameras in, I will be looking good. And if my husband's going to embarrass the hell out of me every episode, I'm going to be looking good. But I was with the women. I. I think something's going on. She's always sick.
A
Her pretending and the, like, comedic timing of the music. Her pretending that she is sick. And I understand your husband is having an affair on camera, so you're trying to fix this situation. She should have almost gone the DARA route. Like, just jump off the ship. Okay. Like, stop filming. It's okay. You could have kept this a little bit more of a secret. Also, there was something about her calling. It just. She was taken by rescue. I was like, you mean you got an ambulance? Also, I would feel bad if she's genuinely just having, like, stress and panic attacks because her husband's cheating on her, and she's realizing everyone's going to find out about it. So that could really be what's going on. And that's not coming up on the EKGs.
B
I. I think that's probably going. Going closer, actually. Our friend just told us a story about how someone she works with, literally, from stress, had made himself go blind.
A
Oh, I could see that.
B
Like, temporary blindness. I would think that there is obviously some sort of stress and panic and things that she's putting on herself. But the editors did want us to laugh at the situation of her being in bed with a full face of Makeup and the way that they were editing her talking head where it was like she was just telling us for hours every single ailment. We're not supposed to think she's sick is what I'm gathering from this. Right.
A
And I mean, Brian didn't even know what kind of tea mommy likes and the kids didn't e. Well, that's because
B
he's at the gym every morning and Joellen says, well, no, he's getting coffee with the mistress. So he only knows the mistress's coffee order, but not his wife's tea order.
A
Ouch.
B
And I bet it's just an Earl Gray.
A
She seems like a Lipton person to me. A black tea.
B
Okay.
A
A little half and half and a little sugar.
B
Let's go back because we are back at the house. It's the next morning. Rosie was sick all night. She's been throwing up all night from the stress of Kelsey Courtney.
A
It's clearly the oic.
B
Oh, I didn't even think about that.
A
It's the OIC in the drinks, I'm guessing, and a little side of stress.
B
Oh, no. I was feeling really bad for Rosie because I just think she's so stressed out.
A
It's a combo of all the things.
B
Oh, my God. I didn't. That didn't even cross my mind once. I felt bad because I think Rosie really just wants to fit in with the group and they're not letting her. Although I feel like we did get some progress this week. Kelsey and Rosie have a conversation because they're telling Kelsey, you need to say something. But Ashley, I Trying to listen to that conversation while the two of them were talking was making me giggle.
A
It makes me giggle so much. I'd be curious too, how much Rosie and Ashley I are hanging out right now because I've heard that Ashley I really just films the show and isn't connected. And I think what makes this show so amazing is everyone's connections. Hearing later on, Alicia and Jo Ellen talk when they go off the property. And Alicia kind of remembering back to high school and she's like. And people just didn't really talk about it. It was just like she was gone for a bit and we didn't know much more about it. And you just left it at that.
B
When they flashback to a photo of Jen with Alicia, Joellen's sister, I was like, wow, these three really go far back. Alicia, Jo Ellen, Liz, Kelsey by proxy from her now ex boyfriend. Like, there really are like deep lines here. And let's just talk about Alicia and Joellen I felt so terrible for Joelle. And she's, like, recounting this. My sister went first. My mom sent my sister away.
A
That was kind of crazy to find out about that. And also, her sister and her husband bartended on Watch what Happens Live. It's cute.
B
I think it's funny that they're, like, playing into the whole thing, because I think they're obviously so secure in their relationship that now this is just funny. But I also think that they are, like, trauma bonded in a way, too. Joanne tells us she was sent away three different times. What was the full reasoning for this? She's like, I was a straight A student. I basically got sent away for having boobs.
A
So sounds like the first time was in seventh grade, and she went to, like, a drug rehab, and they sent her home after a week because she's never done drugs. Then she got sent one more time, and then freshman year of high school, and her mom was calling it a boarding school, which it sounds like it was like one of those Paris Hilton places. And then they eventually wanted full custody of her. And then her mom was like, no, you're all better, and let her come home.
B
But that was a year later.
A
So intense, crazy, traumatizing. I just felt awful for her.
B
One, she said she was suicidal, and I. I felt so sad. Alicia, just being like you said earlier, right? We knew something had happened, but we didn't know what it was. Nobody really talked about it. And Alicia shares her side of her story, too. Because of my dad leaving. This is why I leave men first. I don't know who would even walk me down the aisle. The trauma they all have is like. It's so sad just listening to them tell these stories.
A
But Alicia's story was interesting because we've been also kind of presented that Billy doesn't want to get married, or he will get married, but not give her half of his assets type of thing. And now she's saying, do I even want to marry Billy? So I'm. I'm kind of confused which is which.
B
It sounds like she had her child with Billy. They're connected this way, and it's scary for her to give up everything to marry Billy. It sounds like she obviously is maybe taken care of better right now in the situation that they're at, that if she wanted to, could leave at any point.
A
True. Okay, I see.
B
That's how. I mean, after hearing this is what I took from it, I just. I really wanted to hug Joellen, and I want to hug Alicia. And learning about the fact of how connected they were from being so young there. 38 and 41 on this show. They go back 20 years, 20 plus years. Like, Alicia was like, yeah, your mom. I knew your mom. Your mom was always so jovial and like, hello, and hi. And then you hear about this, and
A
it's like, why I can't imagine Jo Ellen and her mom's relationship is any better right now. I'm guessing the show is going to make it worse. I had this thought this week. What if Alicia is secretly the smartest housewife and she went on this show to get a major cracker deal? Like, and she's just branding. She's branding herself. She doesn't even. Courtney. She doesn't even really like crackers, but she decided, I really want a cracker deal. So I'm just going to talk about crackers all the time. That's what these housewives do. They like something, they get a brand deal. This is my new theory. Alicia's really the smartest of the bunch and getting that cracker deal.
B
She said, there is no Nabisco ambassador. And I think that brand is missing out. And I feel like Bravo does a lot of crossovers with brands that she's like, I could be the Bravo Nabisco spokesperson.
A
I could be the face of Wen Triscuits, Saltines, Ritz.
B
The possibilities are endless. Like, the amount of times that she says cracker every episode, it's like, we need a ding counter. Like, in the. In the top left of me. Totally.
A
And now yogurt, guys. Best yogurt she ever had in her whole life. She's. She's going for yoplay now.
B
I mean, I gotta tell you, I was watching them eat that breakfast, and I was like, I don't think that spoon fits that well in that jar. It was bothering me how large of a spoon it was. And I was like, it's so round. And I know that that's a small, stupid detail, but I kept thinking how annoyed I would be because it feel like it was a fit perfectly type of spoon, which just, you know, bothers me.
A
I. I can understand that is a problem when the spoon doesn't fit into the jar.
B
Okay. But I wanted to talk about the cracks that are happening with Liz and Alicia. And I had a conspiracy.
A
Liz is like, alicia, stop talking about Beyonce and Sasha Fierce.
B
Zip it. Liz is figuring out that Alicia might be starting to be the star.
A
Star. Okay?
B
And Liz does not like that. And it ruins her mood for the entire day. Oh.
A
And that's why she was like, I cannot watch these 30 year old women go down that water slide one more time. And now we're bringing out the butlers and having them take off their shirts. And you want me to flirt with them? No, thanks.
B
Like Boris, hello.
A
And then Liz wasn't even invited to leave the castle.
B
That's what I think pissed her off was that she was like, okay, so Alicia and Joe Ellen are leaving. Interesting. Why am I being stuck when I. This is my show. What do you think?
A
I'm. I'm into this theory. I can jump on with you.
B
Well, and I just thought the way that she was getting mad at Alicia at that breakfast where it's.
A
It.
B
It felt like it came out of nowhere.
A
Yeah. She was like, Alicia, let me finish.
B
Then Ashley I starts crying, I guess break it up. I don't know the amount of crying she did. Now I think her crying at the end of the episode was warranted when she thought that her son would have to go to the ER and that to me was warranted. But the crying over Rosie, that was a little much.
A
She has a lot of feelings, but this is a very spooky house. So maybe she was feeling some ghosts. Ghosts.
B
They're like ghosts. Now that I'm trying to say, it's kind of hard.
A
Ghost. Ghosts.
B
Well, now you're not even saying your
A
T. I. I think a lot of. A lot of people in California, they drop the T's on things. Ghosts.
B
Well, what are you saying? The second word is plural.
A
Ghost.
B
Yeah, ghosts.
A
Am I not saying it right?
B
You're dropping the tea and no.
A
Ghosts.
B
That's singular. Now pluralize it.
A
No, I did. Ghosts. Ghosts.
B
Okay, I think you're close.
A
Ghost. Ghost. Ghost. One ghost. There's a ghost. I saw ghosts at the house. I saw some ghosts. Am I saying it right? No, I.
B
Honestly, now that I'm saying it out loud, it's hard.
A
It is a much harder than you'd.
B
Ghost.
A
I think you say it in a sentence.
B
I saw a ghost. I saw multiple ghosts.
A
Yeah, you did it. You did it. Well, you get a.
B
It was an sts, but it. I will be honest. That was tough. That was tough for like the tongue to tooth ratio. Okay, one more time for you. Use it in a sentence.
A
Casper is a ghost. Casper is a ghost. Casper and his friends are. Ghosts. Are ghosts. Wow. I can't do it.
B
I hope everyone listening is trying to do this right now.
A
Felt there are. There are many spirits and.
B
Ghosts. Yeah, let's just use the word spirits because that pluralized. That sounds right. Spirits.
A
You know What? No. Alicia's the smartest woman that on there. The crackers. And now we have personally found out. Saying ghosts, plural is challenging.
B
It's difficult. Let's take a break.
A
I was gonna say it was quite strange, though, that the driver that picked them up had lived there previously, and he was telling them all about when he lived there. He could feel the spirits. He could hear giggling at night, people in the hallways. I mean, I believe this shit so much.
B
Now, have we confirmed that Alicia did bring the dolls?
A
Courtney, that has not been confirmed.
B
Because I keep thinking, too, when that bug was in her room and she used the doll to kick the bug out of the room, I thought, would Alicia do that with her own dolls?
A
That I think this proves the dolls live at this castle.
B
Okay. Maybe the dolls are haunted. Ooh.
A
Ooh.
B
Maybe the dolls are spirits of former housemates.
A
Oh, wow. That seems.
B
Go to sleep. Go to sleep. They're all former housewives in the ghosts of the dolls.
A
I'm cold. I'm cold.
B
Get me out of this house. Okay, so the event today was a water slide. After one time on the water slide, I'm done.
A
Of course, of course. But I would have to do it well, once. Yes. Wait, Courtney. When I went on the water slides at Baja Mar in the Kitty park, and we were flying down those, you get air. There was a close call with Charlie and me on that water slide.
B
Yeah. Mary also went on this one, too. That drops you, like, 10ft.
A
Oh, yeah. I love that shit.
B
Yeah, water slides are intense. But I also did notice with the water slide, at one point, it was either Boris and somebody or Kelsey and Rosie. They get out and the water slides has a note, and it says, keep water filled to this line. You know what wasn't filled that with water to the line. Dangerous. Okay. I. I was nervous for them. It also really looked like there wasn't any water. I'm Ashley. I thank God I got lasered.
A
Right, Right.
B
Because your. Your bathing suit bottom is going every which way but staying down. Totally, totally don't. How many times can you go up and down that water slide? I keep thinking productions, like, can you do it one more time? We didn't get the shot. And, like, And Rosie is just like, at one point is just like, guys, I've got one more water slide left. It's also a little chilly out.
A
Yeah. This was kind of a strange activity. I wasn't really into this moment. Also, they could have all gone out, like, shopping. They could have gone to a breakfast. Well, I guess they ate breakfast. There. They could have gone to lunch. There are as many.
B
They went on the boat.
A
Yeah, that's true. That's true.
B
But Ashley leaves the waterside. She's like, I'm gonna go talk to Liz. Because Liz is out there and she's sulking because she wasn't invited to leave with Joellen and Alicia. And she's bored. She's 56. These girls could be my kids. And Ashley, I checks on her. She's like, yeah. No, they say she's, like, kind of scary, but I think I like her.
A
Lamby Liz, they were cute together. I liked this moment. And I like that Ashley checked in on Liz because I think Liz is the one always kind of, you know, protecting everyone. Of course. So she needed this moment, but I
B
needed Liz to, like, not be getting as upset as she was. But I guess if that were me, and I'm realizing in real time time, I'm not invited to one of the main outings, that would piss me off.
A
Big moment for Jo Ellen to tell more of her story for Alicia. And it was interesting that only two of them went.
B
Yeah. Why do you think just the two of them? Do you think it was because of the connection I was trying to pick? Like, why? Because Alicia's technically hosting this trip. Right. With Liz as, like, second in command.
A
I think Alicia has been portrayed as like, you know, someone we laugh at. Yes. But maybe to show a different side of Alicia as well. Like, she can be a really supportive friend and, you know, she's going to be a good listener and help you during your tough times.
B
Yeah. I mean, it made sense to me. Why. But I was just wondering, why wouldn't it be, like, the three of them? But then also maybe because of the conflict between Alicia and Liz earlier in the day could have been. Maybe it was a real time drop. Maybe it was the three of them because she was dressed like Alicia, Joellen. They were all in their little athletic tennis dresses. Oh, she was in that White house.
A
Yeah. Yeah.
B
No, no, she dropped last second. Conspiracy theory based on just an outfit.
A
Well, I was thinking Liz was like, I'm not going and being in my bikini and going down a water slide. And that was just kind of it. But now you've kind of convinced me that she was asked not to come.
B
That's why she's pissed. Let's run with that.
A
Okay. Let's go to the boat. Literally, Ashley, I has the biggest hoops I've ever seen in my life. They're actually insane. But I felt awful for her in this Moment she's on the way to the boat.
B
Her.
A
Her mom's being very reassuring. You know, I think he's fine. He's doing okay now. And Ash is like, okay, I'm gonna go do this boat thing, and then I'll probably go home tonight. And then as soon as she gets on the boat, her dad's like, we're taking him to the ER and also, I feel like coming from your dad, that's a doctor. I have no idea what kind of doctor he is, but any doctor saying we're going to take him to the ER I'd be losing my shit. The guilt would be coming over you so fast. Um, and of course, Jared's out of town too.
B
She just feels like she doesn't have him to be there as well. Even though her parents obviously are great to be doing that. And I'm sure, too, that you just feel helpless, but they're like, we would rather be cautious. Right, and do this than not. I felt so sad for her, though, because I was like, this is actually one of the times she's crying, and I think it's warranted.
A
I. I'd agree.
B
This is why I love this cast too, because we're dropping nuggets about the past. And Kelsey says to Jo Ellen, hey, I think you had sex with my ex on a boat. But then we also come to find out that Joe Ellen, she's okay with hooking up with two brothers, just like G. Gary's okay with hooking up with two sisters. It's not that big of a deal if you're in the same bloodline.
A
But then also, it sounds like Kelsey has hooked up with her ex's brother as well.
B
Okay, that's what I was. Because you're saved from that, like, quote unquote throwaway line from Joe Ellen.
A
I feel like Kelsey was setting up Joellen a bit. Supposing that she slept with her boyfriend previously, which is also on land, not a boat.
B
So Joellen does admit to it.
A
Then there's also a threesome thing that was with another woman, and Joellen was very loud. And Joellen on Watch what Happens Live too, she admits to it. And then Joellen also slept with the brother. Then in her confessional, they ask, who's better in bed? And then she says, kelsey knows that answer.
B
The town is small.
A
Doesn't it make it seem like Kelsey also hooked up with the brother?
B
Yes. No, I'm agreeing with you. Like, I'm like, wait, what is happening here? There's no animosity about it.
A
Like, I guess Rhode island is the smallest state, so slim pickings out there.
B
The small state of Rhode Island. Everyone clearly seems to know everyone here biblically, and we could leave it at that.
A
What about Alicia calling Rosie Lindsay?
B
I'm also so confused because they keep acting as if Rosie is new to Rhode island, but she's not. And then, wait, Also, people told us too, that Rich was a morning personality on a radio show.
A
Yeah, that's what I heard.
B
So, like, Rosie and Rich, they are the. The on air personalities here, which makes sense why they've connected with each other. I just love Rich so much.
A
You are jonesing for him for March Madness.
B
I mean, and I thought that boat captain was cute. And I like that Joel said, I'm gonna take a picture and send it to Jen.
A
He was cute.
B
He was very cute. Was there any follow up on that?
A
I don't know about that.
B
I know. Let's go back to the castle. Cause this is when shit starts to hit the fan. Detective Joe Allen on the case.
A
You guys, I felt like I was watching an episode of the Traitors because all the lanterns and the fire was going dun dun. It was so dramatic. Jo Ellen is standing outside on that balcony, and Liz approaches and is like, is everything okay? And Jo Ellen's like, I got the proof. And then she's showing her her came, but she doesn't want the cam. The camera crew to actually see the video. And Liz is just like, holy shit. The drama of this scene with that fire was priceless. And Jonathan's just like, you know, I'm
B
not here to hurt Rula.
A
That's not my intentions. But I'm going to hurt Rula because I have the solid proof. And then they all go in and have that charcuterie board. They're in their jammies. Someone's wearing an eye mask. And it's like the sleep eye mask.
B
No, I know.
A
It just is very silly. And Liz is like, unleash the hounds.
B
Was. What's the what? What does that mean? What are the hounds?
A
What hand?
B
What hounds? And Liz, you can see, is like, shut up, Alicia. Go eat a cracker. Like, you are not the star. This is my show. And then they like, flashback. Joellen's like, I told her, if you want the proof, I'll get you the proof. Rula never says, please find the proof. Rule being rescued. I know.
A
Rola basically said, please stop bringing this up. I'm still with my husband, but, like, I don't want to be naive, but can you stop digging? Because I don't want to know anything else. And Joellen kept digging. She kept digging, and she got the proof. Yeah.
B
I feel like Rula also knows this is going on and is like, I didn't think that this would even be coming up on camera. And now that you guys have made this a storyline, like, stop it.
A
Well, that's why I have to pretend to be sick.
B
They're, like, passing around this video. At one point, they do show someone watching on the phone, but they blur it. Because I was like, what the f is on this video? I'm like, I hope it doesn't like, constitute as, like, revenge porn. Like, I just kept thinking about that because of all these things that have, you know, been circling us. And then they start describing the video were set in the scene. This is two days before Polo and Brian and this blonde woman. It's through a window. It looks like he's consoling her. His hand is on her ass. Then they start kissing. Then there's a long hug. Who hugs that long? But then they're all questioning it, like, is this a setup? Who did this video? Rosie's like, this is, like, not good. But why does Jo Ellen have all of this info? And Joellen tells us in a confessional, well, I have a friend who's friends with her. And I said, is there proof? Send me proof. But I think the mistress set this up.
A
There's something very strange. She does feel like a bunny boiler.
B
I was going to ask if you've heard about, like, the Mike Vrabel, Diana Rias situation. Mike Vrabel is the coach of the Patriots, and he potentially might have had an affair with that. You know this story. We've talked about this.
A
Yes.
B
Six years ago, though. There's, like, footage of them, and then there's footage of them from, like, five years ago. And I keep thinking, who is this footage coming from?
A
Right, Right.
B
Who is taking this foot? Is it, like, the husband? Is it. Is it her husband? Is it his wife? Is it Diana who's, like, building a case because she wants to be with Michael? Just start thinking all these different conspiracy theories, obviously, that it's like, who's taking the video?
A
That's a very good question. And Rula was also on another podcast and admits to the mistress owning part of a business that they have, Brian's
B
business, and then acting as if that's not weird, like, he gave her minority ownership in one of his businesses, and that's actually what the breach of contract was about. And the person's just like, oh, okay, well, thanks for clarifying. I'm like, hold, hold on. Right? My next question would be, why does she have ownership?
A
There's something insane going on there. And they are going to have a lot to come clean about at the reunion. But at the end of the day, still together in real time.
B
This is what my issue is too, is like, Joellen wants to be so right. What does she hope to gain from this?
A
I guess she's just like, obsessed with the situation because she's like, no, really, he's still doing it. I know he's doing it. And I'm gonna just prove this to you because nobody tells me I'm wrong. And it's just like her own making, you know, she wants to be right. And I think it started from a genuine place, like, your husband's cheating on you. But clearly Rula doesn't care and she wants to move forward with him. So she doesn't even want the information,
B
even though she wants to be wide eyed and bushy tailed. That she said. But she wants to know, but, like, not on camera. I also think, like, Jo Ellen's like, don't make me a liar. I know this is true. And you're trying to gaslight me by saying, it's not like Brian is doing that. But then Joellen's like, so, Alicia, because you're closest to her, I want you to tell her. If I have Alicia, I'm like, I. I don't want to tell her. And she's gonna have to tell her with Brian next week at dinner with Billy too.
A
I don't think it's gonna come out then.
B
No, the outcome would be from that. Let's be real.
A
I think Alicia might go to that dinner and not say a thing. Maybe they've spoken ahead of time or something. But them all being like, not it, not it, not it.
B
Like Liz the matriarch being like, we have to let her know. I'm like, in theory, we do. I do understand that. Because you want to be protective of Rula, I don't think it needs to happen on the show. Except for us as viewers.
A
Liz already anticipating her denying the footage AI.
B
It's AI.
A
And then they show that flashback of Liz and Rula when they went to lunch. And those is like, it's still going on. Like, come on. But doesn't really press it super hard. Which was kind of interesting too. I don't know how Rula's gonna get out of this one.
B
It's tough.
A
I think actually, Joe Ellen's gonna end up being the one showing her the video.
B
I would agree with that, because I don't even think it's. I mean, it's none of their place to show it. But a ruler asks. Asks that Jo Ellen should be the one to show her since she was the one who went digging for it. Yeah.
A
Yeah.
B
And I. Yeah, I do need to know. Next week looks insane. It's like, you've got that. So you're like, okay, is Alicia gonna tell her? We'll see. Then you have the slam pig fight next week.
A
Yes. Between Kelsey and Rosie.
B
How do we even get there? I thought we made so much progress today.
A
I mean, that was fake progress.
B
Okay. Dang it. I want them to get along.
A
They're never gonna get along.
B
I know, but it's like the trio of the. The, like, younger girls, even though Joellen and Ashley are basically the same age, but I feel like Ashley, I. Rosie, Kelsey could be a really fun trio.
A
Yeah. Not. Not until Kelsey gets a house and
B
a job with all the things that Rosie has.
A
Exactly.
B
I love this show.
A
Love this show. So fun. And we'll be back later.
B
Bye.
A
Bye.
