I've watched every World cup game. Right now we are recording the Argentina Austria game is going on and I'm like, it's getting in the way of my life. I watched the game on Friday. Friday I went to a bar with my friend. It was super fun. I went and met out with friends on Saturday to watch games. I'm watching them all day long. Well, when I'm not doing things. Yes. Did you watch? You did dress Charlie up. Mary sent me this photo of Charlie in his USA shirt. Did you watch the game though, on Friday?

Yes, I did because I went to my sisters and then I got pulled

over because for being too hot.

I obviously got out of it. But I was really annoyed because I wanted to get to their house to eat in and out and watch the game.

Okay, great. Let's just break into some news. Let's get through it, let's talk about it. Here's a first question I have for you now that Summer House, the aftermath is over and obviously we have in the city and it's still going to address. But are you wanting updates on west and Amanda? Are you wanting to know what they're doing? Where do you lie on that spectrum?

[Mary]

Yes. So I did see Dumois post them at the airport together and saying that he was going to officiate a wedding. And that's all I heard and it was kind of lackluster for me. However, I do want to know what they do every weekend. I do, I, I, I like, I was like, whatever. But then I'm, then I never really figured out did he do that? Was there any more photos?

[Courtney]

I don't see any photos from the wedding, which I think is okay, we don't need to be seeing that. But people are like, who would want west to officiate a wedding? And I'm like, you guys, three months ago, many people, right. I think the fact that if you had a semi famous friend and we'll say famous within the reality space and they were close to you and they were open to it, I think you would think it was really cool to have that person officiate your wedding. Am I crazy?

[Mary]

He was a very well liked person. As far as we know, March, he was going to take the contest. So yes, I, I feel like they probably asked him a long time ago. And then what were you going to say? Oh, you kind of have a pretty big scandal. We don't want you to officiate our wedding anymore. You can't take that back.

[Courtney]

I mean, at one point for your wedding I was like, how do we get Tom Sandoval and the most extras as your wedding band?

[Mary]

Thank God we didn't.

[Courtney]

Could you imagine though if somehow we did figure out a way and then the scandal happened and then we'd have to like, it would be Lore, obviously, but we'd have to discuss this like constantly.

[Mary]

I'm happy with my decision with my other band.

[Courtney]

Yeah. There's this video though of Amanda and West in the airport. She's putting some Like a piece of gum in his mouth or something. Because he's like holding bags. It's like, ah, she put something in his mouth. And I'm like, this is where we've come to.

[Mary]

I'm also kind of shocked there hasn't been one photo of him officiating.

[Courtney]

There could be. I just haven't gone searching for it. It feels also like if you're like, not a public figure and then you're like having the. I don't know. It's such like a weird line, morality. Because on so many things I have no morals, and then some things I have morals and then I'm picking and choosing. And that's why I'm a hypocrite.

[Mary]

Needs to admit to it.

[Courtney]

It's acceptance is the first step.

[Mary]

I don't even think it's a hypocrite. It's like a flip flopper.

[Courtney]

Sure. We're sandals. Yes, we're sandals. Okay. But speaking of summer house, so cam lion is happening right now. So Kyle and Lindsay are there. Originally, NBC was sending Lindsay and Mia, and it looks like maybe Mia had to drop out. So now Kyle's there. My next question for you. Do you feel like there is going to be oversaturation of the two of them at one point where we're going to want to pull back from Lindsay and Kyle, or do you think there's just enough still happening right now?

[Mary]

I love watching Kyle. I love his stories. I'm very invested. I honestly, I had this thought this morning because I saw him, he's like doing a run this morning and it's 90 degrees there. And then Lindsay posted a video with Kyle and saying, oh, I wonder how many people he's gonna make out with here. And to me, that was just enough. But then it just made me think. I'm like, is he gonna win March Madness? I really feel like he could because people want to see him do great things. I.

[Courtney]

Which is crazy. He should have had the worst season possible. And this man is coming out on top.

[Mary]

I will say he definitely looks hotter and hotter and hotter. He's too pretty for me personally. He really is a modern day Ken, if you will.

[Courtney]

Yeah, yeah.

But like, that's not my aesthetic. My. That's not my. That's not my look for men. I'm Ben Affleck. John Hamm.

So very looking. Ken dolls as well, with brown hair. Like, you just don't like blonde men. Just admit it. Okay. Yeah. So you like a little more rugged than you like pretty boy. You want a callus on a hand.

Yes. So I don't mind Lindsay and Kyle posting away. What about you?

[Courtney]

Well, I just worry because I enjoy it. I've been having fun with them. I love when they both pop into threads and they give a little bit more detail of what's going on or the thought process behind. But I also see how quick the audience turns on people, and I'm like, one wrong move and it's going to be chaos. I think it's fun. I think, keep going. I think ride the wave while you can. Lindsay should have been phased out of Summer House, and obviously she has in the City, but she's front and center again. I really do think this scandal has helped so many of them. I hadn't finished the full podcast of Lindsay and Carl, but Carl kind of pitched himself for season two of in the City, and it feels like Lindsay's on board with that now. So I'm like, there is just such a future for all of them still.

[Mary]

And she was on Gavin with Gibb, and it feels like she definitely alluded to, okay, this is gonna be the last summer and we will be passing the baton. But it feels like Carl, Kyle, and Lindsay will definitely be in the summer house in two weeks.

[Courtney]

They thought they passed the baton last year. And so thanks for hooking up with your exes. Whatever. Your ex's ex, whatever it was. It's also crazy that a year ago at Cannes Lion, Kyle was there with Amanda.

I know. I thought about that too.

I remember it was like Bowen and Matt for lost culturistas Heather Gay. And then Kyle and Amanda, which is also crazy because it's the same time every year. This week, last year, knowing where their relationship was and the fact that they're going on this trip together and trying to, like, save it. It's just, wow. Hindsight is 20 20.

Okay, so Dara officially confirmed that her and KJ are broken up. So what do you think that does for both of their futures within the summer house?

[Mary]

I feel like only KJ will go to the summer house. What about you?

[Courtney]

I think that too. And then I wonder, though, does that leave the door open for Levi if Dara doesn't return? Or should Dara return? Where are they? Are they amicable with their breakup? Are they sad? Is there space for them to get back together? Should they put a will they? Won't they couple in the house since there will be no other couples? We're going to a single summer. Ooh.

I agree. It's Like a return to season one. No couples in the house. Lindsay and Everett.

I feel like Sierra and Mia will get the primary. I love this for them.

Oh, my God. Kyle having to be in a regular room. What if they gave him a room with two beds?

Okay. Also, Danielle had her baby over the weekend. Sounds like the baby was 10 weeks early, but that mom and baby are doing okay.

Yes. The baby's name is Aiden. That is very scary. Ten weeks early is very early. So I can just only hope that the baby gets strong. Baby Aiden. And wishing good things for Danielle and Owen. I was thinking about this. I don't even think she had a shower.

I think she was in Montauk over the weekend.

[Mary]

We just talked about this on the podcast last week when we were talking about, like, these maternity clauses or, like, bereavement clauses saying she was due around Labor Day.

Yes. And it just feels like this came very, very fast, obviously. And I just. I hope that baby Aiden gets really strong and they'll be able to take him home soon. Yeah.

So cute. I love the name Aiden.

I do, too. It always reminds me of Sex and the City.

I know. And then it's like you have the Sex and the City connection with Yvonne and Nick and his woodworking furniture. It's, you know, always comes full circle. Okay, so we had talked about on Friday, the valley seating chart, and I feel like we were pretty close because it was announced while we were recording, so we didn't get to fully see it, but I thought we were pretty good minus the stadium seating. Sorry about that.

I think you're right. Yeah, I think you're right. Also, over the weekend, the Southern charm cast, are they in Hawaii? Are they not? I'm really confused on what the timeline is of this cast trip.

So they were in Hawaii, and noticeably absent was Charlie and Justin. They were in Cabo, but Taylor was in Hawaii with Shep, and I believe they stayed at a giant house there. And then I think after Madison stayed at a hotel with Bret and the baby.

[Courtney]

I also don't think Vanita was on the trip, and I'm wondering if she's on the cast. Has she been spotted filming yet? I'm unsure, but in la, Stassi posts this photo and it's Stassi, Schwartz, Bow, Austin and Craig. Now, Craig did pop up on my riot as visiting Los Angeles, and then my friend that I was with over the weekend, she opened her rya and he popped up there too. And I said, the man is visiting.

It's so funny because I think Austin put up that he was at Sunset Tower, which just tells me they want to get laid there when they're in town. They like people to know where they are at so they can meet girls.

[Courtney]

Well, the Sunset Tower is great, though. Great martini.

[Mary]

But they purposely tag where they're at so people will find them. And it's not after. It's while they're there.

[Courtney]

It's a tactic.

Well, so then. So then somebody on Threads posted this picture and asked, and I wanted to ask you, is this a nightmare or a dream? Blunt rotation, this group of people.

[Mary]

Oh, total blast. I'd love to be a part of that. I think it would be so much fun night out. I think Beau and Stassi, they barely go out. Their friends are in town. They were watching the games with them. Shorts tagged along and then, yeah, just like sound. Sounds like a blast to me.

[Courtney]

What about you? I said, well, this is a nightmare, but I do want to be haunted. You have partied with Austin and San Francisco, so you know what to expect. I don't think much has changed there.

[Mary]

No, I think they're the same.

[Courtney]

Yeah.

Total blast. Did you get your roller rabbit goodies? I'm literally obsessed. They sent me pajamas, and then I got a matching set with Charlie, and I can even get them for my mom.

Yes, and all of their graphics are gorgeous. It's like luxury. Really fun prints. We have heart ones. What did you get?

I got the same of the heart ones and my mom has already stolen them.

Yeah, no, she saw that package and said, I'm just going to open this for. For you, which is illegal, mother, but that's okay. And then said that she wanted everything, so got another customer. All right, let's get into the part one reunion of real Housewives of Rhode Island. Overall thoughts, Mary?

I kind of have, like, a lot going on in my head about this. I was thinking about the season overall, and I feel like Liz was always supposed to be the queen bee and the matriarch, and she was the one we were supposed to trust. And that changed for me throughout the season. And I really loved Alicia. Obviously, I loved Joellen. I was also very much on Kelsey's side at the beginning. And then as I was watching this reunion, I feel like I, like, flip flopped on people. Like, I am completely team Rosie now. And then I started thinking about Jo Ellen, and it just feels like she always has to be right no matter what. And I'm kind of concerned about her for my second season. And the way that Liz kept on calling her the devil, I was like, is Liz onto something? I don't know. I'm kind of mixed up in my head right now. Where are you?

[Courtney]

Well, welcome to some of the sides that I was a rosy girl from the beginning. I've been saying Jo Ellen has this uncanny ability to have to be right, which is going to be her downfall. It's funny because it's like, between Liz and Joellen, they're almost competing for the queen bee spot. But the queen bee is Alicia.

[Mary]

After this first season, which I don't think anyone predicted that going in.

[Courtney]

And Jo Ellen, Kelsey and Liz have this alliance, but it's going to crumble because Jo Ellen and Liz cannot get to the same spot that they need to be at because Joellen has a stronger alliance with Alicia. Alicia and Liz. Liz do not have anything anymore, even though Alicia feels like she has to have some loyalty because of, like, the familial relationship with Liz. It is so complicated.

[Mary]

That's why it makes it so good because they are interconnected. They've known each other for so long. When they were calling them, like, the Cranston groupies, like, well, they're all from Cranston, so they're gonna stick together.

[Courtney]

Then we also have to address the elephant in the room because when the reunion pictures came out, you were like, doesn't rule A look different. And everyone was getting very mad at us. How could you not notice her nose job? But as Joellen said, she was only on three episodes. Okay, we weren't paying that much attention, but believe me, we saw it. We saw it.

[Mary]

It is everyone's nose. It is the same nose. You get that nose on the East Coast.

[Courtney]

Yeah, it's an east coast nose. Was Dolores's doctor also, Liz, we've seen the photos of you before. You look exactly like Dolores after she does.

[Mary]

When you go back before Dolores was actually a housewife, she looks completely different.

[Courtney]

Well, they all nip, tuck, add, lift, space, lift again, low up as the seasons go on. Because there is the pressure of doing all of this. I hope that Rosie and Kelsey don't change anything already because they're both so stunningly gorgeous. Kelsey is lucky she's so pretty. She thought that she was coming in and she was gonna do some reads. And it's just like Rosie is just so much wittier and quicker on her toes. It's not a competition there.

[Mary]

Well, and Kelsey, do you really think she thinks you're a slam pig? No, it was the heat of the moment. You are Sally the slam pig. Okay. I learned it from Alicia's friend. Yeah,

[Courtney]

Sally the slam pig. I think, too. There's a darkness of Rhode Island. I don't know why Liz gives me such Jen Shaw vibes. I don't know what this darkness is that comes from her, but I feel it. Do you not feel, like, sinister A little bit. There's something going on with Liz, and I don't know if it's paranoia. I don't know if it's the cigarette withdrawal that's making her go a little cuckoo. She's smoking that vape at the break.

[Mary]

I don't know.

[Courtney]

Maybe she's not eating her gummies. Something is going on with Liz and whatever's happening with Dino, allegedly, it. There's a darkness.

[Mary]

But I can't imagine Dolores aligning with her so much.

[Courtney]

Is Dolores aligning with her, though?

[Mary]

Well, Dolores introduced her. I mean, I guess that's not that big of a deal.

[Courtney]

Did she introduce her or did Frank introduce her? Because I believe Frank is actually the connection. And then I wonder if Dolores, when she wasn't getting picked up because New Jersey wasn't being picked up, if she said, oh, I know this girl, Rhode island, and she kind of pitched the show, I could be a friend up. And then they said, babe, we don't need you, because these women are nuts.

[Mary]

They're so nuts. I don't know. I just feel like Liz is gonna ride this out and she's gonna be like, you all see the truth, and we are all going to end up on Liz's side in the end. But I understand what you're saying with the paranoia, but I think she's on to something.

[Courtney]

Joellen does have a shadiness to her. There is definitely, like, a truth that she's not giving, and she knows things that she doesn't want to talk about, but that also there's something going on with her where she feels the need to be involved in everybody else's life more so than her own. That I think there is truth to some things that Liz is saying. I think that there are truths to some things that Joellen is saying. And I think that they're going to start going after each other and we're going to see everything.

[Mary]

Well, Joellen's very, very confident. She's not gonna back down.

[Courtney]

But she did back down, though, because Kelsey brings up the rosy rumor about having an affair with the basketball coach and he got pulled over. He was having a dui. Rosie is on the police report now. Joe Wellen, who is the detective and the gossip monger and knows everything about everything, can have proof. All of a sudden, doesn't have proof. She just heard it from her cop friend. So did you hear from your cop friend or is there actual proof? Because if there is proof, then show it. Because you have no problem showing proof of video of Brian. You have no problem showing proof left, right, and center of everything else. But this one rumor that Kelsey brings up that you then had to back her up because you have an alliance you seemingly couldn't provide that.

[Mary]

That is true. Okay, I. Yes.

[Courtney]

And I kind of was annoyed, too, when Andy was like, wow, was road trippin that big of a deal to be on Reddit three and a half years ago? Like, she was on the news in Rhode Island.

[Mary]

I feel like Andy was in a bad mood during this reunion. I can tell his energy is off. Feels like he's definitely there for a job in the moment. Did you get that vibe?

[Courtney]

I understand what you're saying because I also think this is a season one. He is also just meeting these women not at this, but this season. I think he cannot stand Rula. I don't know that he really likes Liz either, but understands that she's kind of part of the group. I really think that he loves Alicia, which I think also pisses off a lot of the cast. And he likes them because they provided a good season, but I don't know that he likes them as people.

[Mary]

It was so interesting. When they go to break and then Rule is like, andy, I have Brian's surgery records of that date from the video. And Andy doesn't even look at her, Is down on his phone the whole time. It's like, okay, well, we're on a break, so bring that up when we get come back from lunch. I was just like, the dismissiveness there was super interesting.

[Courtney]

Brian being like, I'm gonna do a HIPAA violation and show you all the surgeries I had and who it was. You guys are crazy. Rula also, she was just so annoying in this because she hates Joellen so much that she keeps commenting either under her breath or shouting something out, and it's like, shut up. Up, Shut up.

[Mary]

But don't you think Joellen was trying to provoke her the whole time?

[Courtney]

Yes and no. I think there were parts, but I think Rula was also like, joellen is talking to Rosie or talking to Ashley.

[Mary]

I.

[Courtney]

And Rula has to say something and bring it back to her because of how Joellen has, like, slighted her. Whatever's happening between the two of you is too much like, Joanne is too invested in your marriage. She's too invested. It's. She has to be right. That's the path she's chosen. But Rule, just shut up. Your husband cheated. There's video proof. He has admitted he told Gary he folded in 30 seconds. To Gary.

[Mary]

I know.

[Courtney]

He also called her job. Whether she was laid off because of that or not, he got involved too. Drop it. Because your husband's a.

[Mary]

Rula was definitely trying to save her job as well. She knew to come activated. The way that she stands up and Andy has to get up. I was like, this feels so New Jersey when Theresa pushes Andy down.

[Courtney]

Totally. Totally. The crazy thing is, why are you trying to save your job? Why do you and Brian want to be on this show? You don't look good.

[Mary]

I don't understand it.

[Courtney]

It's crazy.

[Mary]

I'm really curious how he's going to explain selling the business to her. I've heard that she's a nurse and maybe does Botox. So maybe he was offering his office for her to use the space for Botox.

[Courtney]

I have no idea the details on that. I'm not well versed in it. We're getting the preview, and Jared's like, you have to tell Rula everything. Which I'm like, jared, why do you know? How does everyone seemingly know, but Rula Rula is living the life she wants, guys. She knows. If you guys think that Ruler doesn't know all these details, she does. There's some kink that she has and it's humiliation.

[Mary]

Yeah. Why does she stay with him? I think she knows everything.

[Courtney]

Mary, when you produce children, I wouldn't understand that. Liz wouldn't understand that. But when you produce children, it's different.

[Mary]

I mean, she tried to walk that back, but didn't do a very good job at all.

[Courtney]

But it's also funny because Liz also needs Rula, so she can only get so mad at her. She's like, you're yelling. And then Andy's like, so I've seen yelling. This isn't yelling. Like, I guess. Yeah. Andy was kind of like, maybe you guys are trying to do a little too much.

[Mary]

He just feels frustrated this whole reunion and kind of just like wants to move through things quickly. Like he feels like he wants to get out of there.

[Courtney]

Well, I also feel like this was at a time too. This was filmed. There were so many reunions being filmed. Similarly, also Summer House, I think was like similar timing. It felt that thought there was like a month where Andy was like, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. So I wonder if he's just exhausted because I have to assume too is completely different than Watch what happens live is these reunions are tough. They are draining for everyone involved.

[Mary]

Very long days.

[Courtney]

Yes. So I wonder if he's also just. He's just tired. He's only a human.

[Mary]

I, I agree with you, but I think his energy can change so much about like the guests on his show, the feelings during the reunion. Like he has a lot of power.

[Courtney]

I also think he really likes Ashley. I too. I don't think he wanted to like Ashley in the beginning, but I do think he does. And if we want to talk about Kelsey and Rosie. So Kelsey and Rosie, they will just not get along. And it's because Kelsey is intimidated by Rosie.

[Mary]

I agree with that. Yeah, well, she's jealous of her. She's married. She has a 5,000 square foot house. Rich seems like a doll. And I also think she's had a successful career. So I do think she is jealous. What do you.

[Courtney]

Yeah, I mean, I've been saying this the whole season. You were just on Kelsey's side for a lot of it. You couldn't get on board with Rosie. But hey, it doesn't matter. You got there well. So then they talk about this hair stuff. Oh, my God. Kelsey, obviously business is not thriving, but you gotta Move on from this. When Andy goes, Ashley, I as the influencer, can you just tell us, like, who's in the right? And actually, I such a staunch Rosie defender too. She's like, okay, well, Rosie paid her. There was no agreed upon exchange for photos. Whatever. Rosie's like, I recommended people to you. It's weird that you're taking notes on who I've tagged in my post because I didn't tag you. That's strange.

[Mary]

It does feel like an obsession.

[Courtney]

Yes. And she's like, well, Rosie's a silent killer. I'm like, no, she's really not, though. She's been pretty out loud with everything that she's felt and she, like, instigates me. Like, she does. You came to her house. You started it with the siren. Now, Rosie did need to laugh at the sash because Miss Slam Pig is fucking hilarious.

[Mary]

It is. It was over the top. It was campy. She was trying to have a moment. And I feel like if she had leaned into it and laughed, it was just wouldn't have been that big of a deal.

[Courtney]

And I think it would have also taken, like the wind out of Kelsey's sails to be able to, like, do anything else right where she was like, oh, great, so you, you agree. You are a slam pig. But it turned into something so much more when Andy was like, well, who thought that was funny? And it's like, Liz, Kelsey and Joelle. And like, of course you guys would. Of course you guys would because you're all an alliance. But Rosie has a point too. She's like, okay, you want to discredit me so bad. You've accused me of two affairs. You've said I've gotten fired. You think I suck dick for career, which is actually what you have done because your only co worker is his girlfriend in Florida. I giggled so hard.

[Mary]

We needed to spend more time on that. I'm like, is she alluding to threesomes?

[Courtney]

No, she's just saying that she was a sugar baby and so was the girlfriend in Miami. So they're co workers because they're getting paid to suck dick.

[Mary]

Kelsey's like, what? You don't suck dick? And Rosie's like, not really.

[Courtney]

Well, let me know when you need a divorce lawyer. Like you've never even been divorce. Kelsey. What? That's not even a read. Fine. You guys do whatever you want to do in your relationship and intimacies. Okay, where's the police report, Jo Ellen? Where is it?

[Mary]

Yeah, this. This feels like this was all fake. This didn't really happen. And she never had this affair with the basketball coach.

[Courtney]

I will say in the beginning of the season or when this was first brought up, I was like, I don't know. I don't know. But now Rosie was so hard on defending herself. There was like an inkling of truth to there and there's some police report out there. I don't know that she would be going this hard because once you're named in the police report, it's pretty hard to come back from that saying you've never met him.

[Mary]

Okay, I don't think she has.

[Courtney]

I know. And then when Joel's like, well, I don't even understand because he's like, not cute. I'm like, do you understand how power affairs work, though? You think that people were doing whatever they were with the president or the CEO because he's hot, right?

[Mary]

We all saw Bill Clinton, everybody. Okay.

And Liz is like, so why don't you expand on that? She's like bullying her. And you can tell Rula is like, yeah, like she's not quite sure what to say. And Liz is like, no, you saw me on Block Island. I was with someone I hadn't seen in 30 years. I was having a lot of fun, dancing the night away. She claims she was separated. And then she says that the next morning at 6am that Rula and Brian called Jerry.

When she was like, he was throwing me up and down. I'm like, okay, so they were separated. Obviously. I think that there is something to this story with Liz because she goes, well, that was what I wanted to happen anyways. I wanted Jerry to feel jealous that if we're separated that I can move on. That's what I felt like she was trying to say. And I do think that Liz is rewriting the narrative, but none of us know what that narrative is anyway, so like, go for it. We don't know the history of that, but it does sound like it wasn't all perfect. In paradise with Jerry and Liz. Rula, I don't know that you were involved with this. Do I think that Brian the snitch would call?

[Mary]

Yeah, I do.

Cuz snitches get stitches. And that man is taking his own supply. He is calling Joellen's work. I have no doubt that he would call Jerry to let him know that he saw something.

I also don't even think there's anything wrong with this. If you thought these people were together and then you see that and you want to call your friend, saying, hey, I saw her last night with this guy, I don't think that's crazy.

Doesn't this feel like this is also from a long time ago? What was the timeline on this?

Four years ago, I thought.

Yeah. So they. They clearly knew each other four years ago.

Wait, so you're saying. You're saying if I saw you out and some man was throwing you up in the air and catching you, and I felt like it looked weird, and I called Michael to tell him as opposed to saying something to you, you think that there's nothing wrong with that?

I think if you see something and you want to say something, you can. That is your choice to make. I'm not saying I would necessarily do that, but if you want to, if it's out in the public, then you can do whatever you want.

I guess it just would be crazy, because I think what I would probably do is make sure that Liz saw me see that.

And then her say, well, it's nothing, or whatever. I hope none of us are ever in that situation where we find ourselves in this predicament and have to figure out what to do.

No, I'm saying, if you want to, you can. It's your choice. Okay. Me personally, I have seen stuff, and I don't say anything.

And that's what Rula says, too. I don't want to be involved in it. Okay. You said Jerry has done his things, and you went off on your merry way, and you did your thing. Liz wants to bury this. She wants to say, hey, it was nothing. Jerry got the message. He doesn't even know what day it is. So why are we gonna call Jerry? Like, there's. There's way more to this. But Andy, he's like, hold on. It does sound like this isn't an isolated incident. Liz is, like, so mad right here because she does not want to be held accountable for anything because she doesn't think she's done anything wrong.

Well, and then he asks about Dino again, and then kind of brings in the whole Kelsey of that, which. That situation's weird because she just didn't want to be a part of that. So that feels weird to bring that up.

[Courtney]

Well, and the ongoing. I think Liz jumped on that really fast because it sounds like the ongoing might actually be more towards the ongoing stuff with the law and Dino. But Liz spun it to be an ongoing potential of affair, and so she's leaning into that. Sorry, I said that. It was harmful and embarrassing. It was just a perfect storm. She just wanted to be at the Seawall with Jerry and Dino. But then, yeah. When Kelsey's like, I was competing for Miss Rhode island, like, oh, God, this is a whole thing. Because I didn't like the. The sugar daddy Miami guy. That was the rumor, too, was that he helped get the crown. But then she's sleeping with Dino, and I'm like, oh, my God. Everyone is involved. I know.

[Mary]

It's so interconnected.

[Courtney]

Yeah. The way that they asked, too, is like, is anyone scared of Liz? And Alicia's like, well, it depends on the day. This is why I am scared of Liz, because she goes into this soft voice and she goes, oh, you're scared of me. I know.

The way that she takes your words and says it back to you, so silent and with this venom. I'm like, yes. So that is scary.

No, Liz is scary. They are all scared of Liz.

She just has a bold personality. Like, and it's. Honestly, it does scare me because I don't know what you're capable of.

There's darkness, and then she starts talking about kabala.

And it just brought me back to a time when all the celebs were wearing their red bracelets.

She's like. She's like telling that shower story. She's like, I just turned on the shower and jumped out the window. And then my mom sent me away because I was off with my boyfriend. I'm like, that water bill must have been so expensive.

And he's like, you didn't think she'd notice you were taking an hour shower? And she's like, I think I got away with it for a little bit. But then she's like, oh, you want to talk about underage stuff, Rula? That's where you want to go, Underage? And I'm like, hold on. Wait. So. So is it a storyline? Trying to, like, follow the ping pong of this? I'm like, what? What is going on?

[Mary]

There was kind of a lot of different storylines, and it wasn't even. It wasn't even, like, reviewing this season. Like, a reunion does it. They came to play. They came to fight in action.

[Courtney]

Yes.

[Mary]

It felt like a different reunion.

[Courtney]

Yeah. They just came so hot out the gate. She's getting activated over here. She's yelling at Rule like, shut up. Shut the fuck up. Why is even here? But it felt just, like, very jarring because there's so much vitriol behind it.

[Mary]

Right. And it was hard to be on Joellen's side with Rula because Rula has asked her not to talk about this anymore. She doesn't want to see the video. She's chosen to stay with Brian for whatever reason. So it kind of made me feel icky. But then at the same time, you're like, wait, Rule. So you're coming here and telling us these videos are fake in their AI. That's insane, too. Don't even bring up the videos. Just say, I've chosen to be with Brian, so we're not going over the evidence and the facts.

[Courtney]

He's shooting the messenger. Exactly.

[Mary]

Exactly. Just say, Brian and I have talked about everything. We are on the same page in our marriage now and what has happened in the past. We need to leave in the past. And then nobody could say anything. But instead, she's trying to rewrite history, and it's activating Joelle. And she's like, no, Brian is the AI Queen. They were literally in December. They were seeing each other till January. And I'm sure she has the receipts on that, but. So it's like, stop, ruler. Like, it's just making you look dumb.

[Courtney]

Well, and Rula shouting out every so often or trying to, like, undercut. Here's the thing. You're going After Joelle and who is a dog with a bone here? Okay, she is going to be right. So every time you say something, she's got a retort for you. The problem with Rule of 2 is all of her insults are slut shaming. So whether it's to Joellen, it's to Liz and the infidelity, it's always talking about people stepping outside of their marriage, and it's like, baby, the call is coming from inside the house. I know, I know. So shut up. When she wants to bring up to Joelle and Joelle and his swingers, and then, like, Joelle and retort reports back, you're like, you're married to Brian. Basically, she's like, we're not gonna talk about Brian. We're not talking about him. It's like, so you can talk about my marriage and call me a swinger. And the rumor is that my neighbors heard it. And so we started putting upside down pineapples in each other's yards and then made signs. I was like, what does the sign say? The swinger lives here.

[Mary]

Like, come for a pineapple.

[Courtney]

Yeah, and stay for the sex. Make sure you give us your keys. What are the signs saying? But really, you can't throw those accusations out about Joelle and stepping outside of her mar marriage and then not expect them to show the actual, literal proof of Brian stepping outside of yours.

[Mary]

We finally saw Rula activated. For the most part, she has kept pretty calm, cool, and collected. And I would say she completely lost it here. She couldn't hold back. She's like, you. You sleep with doctors. You're actually after my husband. I don't know what is bigger, your mouth or what's between your leg.

[Courtney]

Legs. Is she talking about a dick or is she calling her loose?

[Mary]

I think loose.

[Courtney]

Oh, so she has a wide set vagina. I'm not following. Or does she have the biggest dick in the room?

[Mary]

I don't know what the insult is.

[Courtney]

And if you think I have the biggest dick in the room, that, to me, seems like a compliment.

[Mary]

But don't you. Joellen was totally instigating her here. She's just like, who are you? What? A new cast member? She loved pointing out, like, you were in 3s episode. Glad. Glad you're finally speaking. I think she was trying to activate Rula just like she tried to activate Liz.

[Courtney]

Yes. No, I think there's some poking for sure. I think, though, is like, they're making fun of Rula's nose job and maybe a facelift, but it's only A lip lift, whatever. But I'm like, but you guys all have had work done, too. So it's just like the pot calling the kettle black. Which is why we love these shows. Because at this point, too, for a lot of it, I'm like, I'm not really on anyone's side here.

[Mary]

This, like, flipped everything upside down for me, to be honest, because I really like Joe. Ellen, did you notice when she was fighting with Rule at the end? Your husband's a. Like, her accent really came out in that line.

[Courtney]

Yeah. Can we go into the Liz and Joellen fight, too? Because we have to talk about the setup, which is Liz's paranoia. Because also saw parts of where Liz was coming from, because they're talking about how Liz has sent all these voice notes to Joellen, but she didn't listen to them because by the time that she got into her text chain, there were like, 50 plus. She's like, remember, I was at a concert, and Liz wanted to make sure that people knew she was at a Morgan Wallen concert.

[Mary]

I noticed that. Yeah.

[Courtney]

Which made me laugh because I was like, oh, okay. And there it is. But she was like, I didn't listen to those voice notes. Yeah, right. Joellen, you've listened to every single one of those voice notes. Don't BS because you are someone who wants. Wants the proof. You want the goss. I do not believe for a second you didn't listen to those. And that's where you start to lose me on credibility.

[Mary]

Right. I mean, Liz is like, you are the world's number one detective, and you're telling me you did not listen to those. I don't believe you. And then Joel's like, well, I was drunk, remember? And then I was really hungover because Liz's whole thing is that she thinks Alicia and Joellen set her up for that car ride, and they had this big plan. It kind of is starting to get a little bit confusing, to be honest, because. Because obviously we know production is going to have them talk about this homeless situation. Exactly. A lot of this is kind of set up, so I'm sure maybe Joellen and Alicia had a conversation about what they wanted to talk about in the car ride. I'm not denying that, but I don't know if I'd call it a setup.

[Courtney]

Liz, Alicia, and Jo Ellen are going to drive together to the Boston event.

[Mary]

Yeah.

[Courtney]

And we're going to talk about what's been going on with the group, including homeless, not toothless. All Liz had to do, though, was come in and say, Sorry, Liz didn't have to perpetuate that Alicia wasn't homeless. Liz, you decided to go down that route. So whether you feel set up or not, you could have just not said anything. And that's where you're getting yourself in trouble. You think you're being protective of Alicia, except Alicia's family is all backing up what Alicia has said. So instead of just saying, hey, I shouldn't have said that. I was wrong, you were right. I'm sorry. But Liz can't apologize because she does this where she says the however or she says the but. So then you, like, flop to the other side because you're like, yeah, she can apologize. Then we bring up the conversation with Rosie and that Joellen and Rosie met up, and Rosie said Jo Ellen told her that they have a whole group chat where they talk, but they've deleted it. So then she's, like, trying to defect to the other side. So then you're like, joellen, that's shady. I'm flopping back over.

[Mary]

Say it. Forget it. Write it, Regret it. Guys, you need to be having phone calls if you're gonna talk shit, do it in person. You cannot do it over text message. Come on.

[Courtney]

And that's why Wes Wilson is having six hour phone calls with Mija.

[Mary]

Exactly. Exactly. But the way that Liz was talking about Joellen, she's like, you just, like, don't do your bizarre stuff on camera. You have an evil heart. Most people think feel fear being exposed, but I fear character manipulation, audience reaction. There was something here that I was like, I feel like she's on to something with Jo Ellen, and I feel like we're gonna see cracks in Joellen next season. Even though I've loved her this entire season, but I think the fame is going to go to her head. She did get laid off from her job. A lot of the things that we had her on on our podcast, she was talking about at the reunion, like, she got laid off. Just like a bunch of people at her company got laid off. It wasn't because of Brian. And that's what I believe could have

[Courtney]

been part of the reason why, when we're gonna have to lay off 20 people, it's easier to put her in that category of 20 because there's drama here.

[Mary]

Sure, sure.

[Courtney]

I don't think it was the direct reason. And she says that too. I don't think that's the direct reason. But I think what it is, though, you know, when you have that friend that you talk shit with all the time, so, you know exactly how they are. You know that they can be shady because they're shady with you, but as soon as you start to get an inkling that they're being shady against you, you're like, oh, my God, if they can do this with me, they can do this with someone else. And that's what Liz was trying to expose there.

[Mary]

Right. And Joellen's just trying to expose that she borrowed a ski suit that smelled like smoke.

[Courtney]

Like, Andy's like, okay, so you're fighting over a smoky ski suit. Let's move on. And then Liz was like, and I gave it to you, and you didn't use it, and I didn't give it to my daughters. Like, isn't that your own choice?

[Mary]

There was a lot going on that I feel like we should have done three parts.

[Courtney]

Yes. Because this was extended too. Did you also feel the Kyle Richards of it all with Liz and Joelle, and it was like, Kyle and Dorit. I'm not your best friend. The level of friendship and closeness there when Liz was like, we're not that close. You just spent Mother's Day together. Yeah. It was just a Sunday. What?

[Mary]

So my prediction is that Liz and Alicia will be okay and be able to be friends together, but I feel like Liz and Joellen, there's going to be a big riff, and they're not going to be able to move forward. And that will be all this summer. Filming.

[Courtney]

It's like Shannon and Tamara and then Alicia's Vicki.

[Mary]

Yes. Yes.

[Courtney]

Yeah. Threesomes are hard. Unless you're Joellen. And it's hard in a different way. What? Pineapple, anyone? Oh, my God. I. I think having two parts was good, but I also am with you that the extended makes it a lot because just so much happened and trying to keep up with it. Watching it a couple of times. I don't even remember that happening the first time we talked about Audrey, and Audrey's is a bigger problem because guess what? People are going there. Which is exactly what she wanted. Don't let her fool you.

I also think we were talking about a lot of stuff that has happened since filming and a lot of things that we didn't see at all. So I think that's what makes it confusing.

Yeah. Trying to keep up. But still, honestly, a great reunion.

[Mary]

No, this was an amazing, amazing reunion. Cinematic at the end with Jo Ellen and Rula.

Did you also notice, too, that she posted Jo Ellen is wearing Giovanni?

No, I didn't really. I'm very excited for the men. Brian to be in the hot seat. I feel like Billie is going to give her like the deed to the house house at this reunion. He's gonna give her something big. He has some big paperwork.

I feel like, oh, oh, I hope that I love them together. I need to know about what that weird Instagram story stuff was. I need them to survive. I also gotta say, Brian, we don't have to match that. Well, the a tie would have worked. The full suit is a lot. But then it's also like dumb and dumber style too, so maybe it fits. And the hair dye job. Men gotta stop using shoe polish hair color.
