Telluride was the best. We one upped ourselves with my Sapphire Preferred card and with 5 times points on Chase Travel plus 3 times points on vacation homes with top brands, we got this incredible cabin. It was a mansion and with three times the points on dining, we ordered a Wagyu steak dinner and that pistachio gelato was too good. So where should we go next year? I've got ideas. Chase Sapphire preferred the card that's preferred for a reason. Cards issued by JP Morgan, Chase bank and a member FDIC subject to credit approval terms apply.

And it's Courtney from la. And we're both home. Finally.
Mary
We are home. How was the Hamptons?
Courtney
The Hamptons is great. I thought it was beautiful. It was quaint. We went to so many fun places. My one thing, though, that they don't really tell you, besides it being quote, unquote far, which I took the jitney there and back, and I thought it was great. Didn't wear my diapers. Didn't need to. There is a bathroom on board. I think Sonia just, you know, never wanted to.
Mary
Sometimes you just don't want to get out of your seat.
Courtney
It literally depends, like, the brand. Okay. So there is a lot of time in cars. Things are really spread out. So I think that was just, like, my only thing was because we were only there for, like, two and a half days. And so getting around, everything's just a little far. But overall, like, I see why people want to come out here. We had great weather. I mean, the humidity is still wild, but it's hot here, too, so I think just enjoying it. I had a great time. I took my frame photo of Lisa Barlow out with me. She had a good time at the wine stand. She needed a nap after, so she didn't make it out to Common Ground East. But that's okay. It was great. I was, like, joking, you guys. We were texting John Barlow and I was like, just want to let you know Lisa's having a great time in the Hamptons, if you could tell her.
Mary
So, so silly. Now, the. These Ubers, are they hard to get? Is it overpriced? The Ubers, just normal.
Courtney
Definitely overpriced, but relatively easy to get. I think a lot of people go out there for the weekend that want to drive because people want to drive.
Mary
Yeah.
Courtney
I will say our. One of our dinners was really fun. We went to this place called Sunset beach, which is on Shelter Island. And I don't know why I thought it was so cool. We took our Uber all the way, and then we had to take a ferry over. Oh, very cool. Yeah, Sunset Beach. And so the ferry's literally three minutes. But we were like, this is so fun, holding each other like Titanic, King of the world style. They're probably like, these girls.
Mary
You're like, I'm on a boat, bitch.
Courtney
Yeah. I was like, you know, joking. I was like, a little to the left to get to the dock, as if they probably were like, please just get. Get back in your car. Get back in your car. We just had, like, a good time. I haven't Seen some of those girlfriends in a while, too. Like, a lot of my friends moved to New York, so it was just a really fun weekend to see everyone. And my travel day wasn't as bad as my travel day to get to New York. We have a Lost podcast right now that really details in how it took me 28 hours to get to New York last week. But I'm just. I'm grateful. We had a great time at the party. I got to be with you in person.
Mary
Yeah, no, being back to reality is tough. I mean, it is a 58 here. I'm in a full sweatsuit right now. It's awful weather. I'm dying.
Courtney
What do they say? The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.
Mary
That is a quote.
Courtney
Yeah, that is a quote.
Mary
That is a quote.
Courtney
I do enjoy getting back to a routine, though.
Mary
Well, I mean, you've been gone for, like, a week.
Courtney
I know.
Mary
You're, like, ready to make your own food, get to the gym, walk the dog, all the things. Yes.
Courtney
Yeah, exactly. But. So it was, like, funny, though, because Summer House clearly wasn't out in the Hamptons, but the women of the golden life were, and they're filming, and I keep just wondering how it's gonna go with Marge on this cast.
Mary
I know. I think the Candace Bushnell is, like, a lush, so I think she'll be very interesting. But I'm really curious, just because Marge is a sober sister, and there's nothing wrong with that, but I just feel like these women, you know, they, like a porch pounder. They throw them back. Giselle said on Watch what Happens live, they had to do iconic moments. What was bigger? And it's like Lou falling in the bush, and she's like, that's just a Wednesday for Lou.
Courtney
Okay. I will say I loved watching the rehog it. I loved watching the Watch what Happens live. I loved being in the room with them last week that I've had, like, a perma smile just enjoying all of this and the celebration of. And when they were going over their iconic moments on the boat, I was like, these are not even the iconic moments I would choose for these ladies. There are so many more things, and maybe it's just, like, memorable ones, but I was actually surprised by the choices that they all picked for themselves. Minus, I'd say Teresa, obviously, the table flip. Lisa with the hot mic moment. But I'm like, there are so many moments that I feel like they're not recognizing. And I'm like, wow, this is just, like, I don't know, I just was like, so excited for them to be talking about this because there's this breaking of the fourth wall because we're in celebration of. And I just thought, God, we're so lucky to have 20 years of this.
Mary
I cannot believe it's been 20 years. It's really insane. And I like how on watch what happens live. Like, Vicky was in the first chair. I thought that was very sweet. And then next was Lou, Porsche, Teresa.
Courtney
That was the front row. And then the back row was Kyle.
Mary
Lisa.
Courtney
And then Lisa.
Chase Sapphire Cardholder
Yeah.
Mary
Yeah.
Courtney
Well, I also find it interesting too, when they do the intro on the show, it's actually surprising the order. And I'm wondering if that was when they were cast on their show.
Mary
Oh, I didn't. I didn't pick up on that.
Courtney
Yeah. Because I want to say maybe it was Portia before Kyle and I was like, wait, is that because Atlanta started before Beverly Hills and they just slotted Portia there. Or was there any rhyme or reason? Because obviously it was like Vicki. And then I want to say it was Lou. And then I want to say that it was Teresa, Portia, Kyle, Giselle, Lisa.
Mary
Okay, okay, I think you're onto something.
Courtney
And then when they did the cardboard cutout, so that was a different order.
Mary
Oh, okay. Yeah. And that was controversial. Who changed the most?
Courtney
Ugh. Gosh.
Mary
Gosh.
Courtney
Overall, I wanted to ask you, what did you think about the cast choices in this? Would you have liked to see someone from Miami added to the cast? Cast? If so, who? Do you think that there could have been any switch ups with someone from the cast to represent their franchise? What did you think?
Mary
Okay, I definitely think they should have included Miami and I think they should have had Alexia. Actually, Alexia and Teresa together would have been amazing.
Courtney
Same woman, different font.
Mary
Yes, yes. Everyone made sense. And I wonder if they tried to have Nene come for the two weeks and she said no and she had her stipulations of what she wanted to do. Obviously they chose to start with Nene. That was a big get for them. And that's like how they kicked off this rugged. So I'd be curious what the talks were about that, but. But for the most part, I think they did a really good job of picking the cast. What about you?
Courtney
So obviously Nene needed to be included in some way, but I do not think it would have made sense for her to be a central cast member on this. I think she should come back to the Franchi. Overall, I love seeing her. I had also heard rumblings that maybe Candy would have been that Lanta representative. Like, but she's been gone for a season. Nene's been gone for so long that I don't know that I wanted her return to be on this. As much as I'd love to see her come back on her own franchise, starting it off with her, I think was such a nod to the impact she's had on Housewives, and I loved seeing her, but I don't know if this was the right entry to be the main cast member. Like, I think we needed to give her her flowers of being iconic, but also, like, returning to. Does that make sense?
Mary
Yeah. But I would disagree. I feel like this is all about celebrating. This is the 20th season. Most of these women have already been on Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. This is really. I feel like, just to have, like, nostalgia. It's to celebrate. And I actually think that all of the women were really upset with Shannon and Tamara this episode, because the whole point is to celebrate Housewives, and they were trying to make a moment. And this episode got Tamara disinvited to Bluestone Manor. So if you like, in the background, too, production was like, no, no, no. This is not what this is about. We're not letting these women get in fights every single dinner. This is more to show a good time and flashback and reminisce. It's not about creating new drama. What do you think?
Courtney
Yeah. Well, and then I was wondering, too, because I'm like, okay, you guys. Vicki, for someone who wants to deny that she's not a Debbie Downer on her own show, Vicki is the biggest Debbie Downer I've ever met. And she has this, like, chip on her shoulder for being fired, but then getting to come back, and she's the OG of the OC and then there's the competition with Gina. I do wonder if things would have been different if, like, Tamara or Heather was cast on this show. Heather hasn't really been given the limelight of being a representative of OC And I feel like you said the other women have already been on an Ultimate Girls trip or Love hotel or gotten the spotlight, where I don't think necessarily Heather has. But I was like, would things have fared differently if Tamara was on the cast?
Mary
I think so.
Courtney
Big time. A good way or a bad way?
Mary
She would have stirred the pot a ton.
Courtney
Do you think so?
Mary
Yeah. Yeah, I do.
Courtney
I. I don't know that she would have, because I wonder if they said to these women, like, we are celebrating Housewives. They all seemingly went in with this mindset of this is a celebration of ultimate girlship. I do feel like all the women on the cast, honestly, though, with the exception of Vicki, feel very lucky to be the representative of their franchise.
Mary
Also, Vicki's in a strange situation here. So she had been fired.
Courtney
Then she got to do Real Housewives
Mary
Ultimate Girls trip at Bluestone Manor. Okay. Then she did the Morocco one, which we will never see. And then she got her orange, knows she's gonna come back and got thrown into this kind of a little bit last minute. And I feel like she's a little bit overwhelmed. But also, like we said last week, she is out of the game. Like, she doesn't know how to play Housewives anymore, and it has changed so much. And her whole thing is like, I don't want the drama, and she just wants to have fun. But like you say, she does get Debbie.
Courtney
She doesn't know how to have fun. And I think she thinks because she's the OG of the OC that she sits on a different level than the other women. And it's like, you don't, Vicki, because you've been gone and you don't have the overarching I am Real Housewives, like, we recognize Game recognizes game. People know, hey, you were part of the oc, the original cast. You are the OG of voc, but you need to recognize what all the franchise have done to contribute to the success of Real Housewives, where you want to be the alpha of the group and take ownership for everything that's happened. It's like, yes, we recognize how you started, but as Portia said, like, you opened the door. We kicked it down. Like, these franchises wouldn't exist without the success of the one prior to it. So recognizing what all the women on the cast have contributed to Real Housewives, plus all of the women who will be doing cameos and showing up. Vicki, you don't have a leg to stand on where you keep trying to be this alpha, as opposed to just celebrating the moment.
Mary
Right. And, like, Lou acknowledges it so well. She's like, Orange county put us on the map, but, yeah, New York put them on the map.
Courtney
Yeah, you had women of OC that was great, and it did start it. But then you had the women of New York, which were a totally different breed of women, and, like, watching them live this life, all of you guys have contributed. That's why it's successful. That's why we can put all of these women together, because you're all stars in your own own right.
Mary
And Atlanta, at one point, Was, like, the number one doing the best in the ratings for a very long time. So they've all contributed in one way or another.
Courtney
Exactly. Gibson. I commented on, like, one of our threads this morning, like, hoping she'll calm it down once they're, like, out of the oc And I was thinking about this, too, because in this episode, we go to the quiet woman. Vicki was not a part of that. Oh, the original Shannon Beador. This is not my effing plate. Vicki was not a part of that. So she's being taken to the quiet one for a moment. She's not even a part of. And you're right, she is coming back into filming. She has relationships with some of the women, but I think she's also trying to figure out where she lies within. And again, I still think she has this, like, massive chip on her shoulder and she feels like she has to, like, perform and show how she's the OG and it's like, just enjoy the ride.
Mary
I. I'd agree with that. I'd agree with that. Yeah.
Courtney
And I think all the other women are. And what I love about this, too, is I've always thought outside of her own franchise, Teresa filming, even when she did the first rehog it. And I know Melissa was there, but you could feel a weight lifted off her because the women weren't coming at her. She just gets to have fun. And the pairing of her and Baby G, I didn't know I needed it. I love them together. It just makes sense.
Mary
They're adorable together. I'm in love with it.
Courtney
She calls her Tea, and I love it because everyone always calls her Trey. And I'm like, Baby G's calling her T. It's like Baby G and T.
Mary
And I love gin and tonics.
Courtney
We had a Baby G and T. That's so cute, Mary. Oh, I love Lisa.
Mary
You gotta come out with a gin line.
Courtney
Yes. Oh, my God. Or maybe the T is tequila and the G is something else.
Mary
Okay. Okay.
Courtney
I don't know what. Ginger ale and tequila. Is that good?
Mary
I don't. Honestly, anything with ginger ale is refreshing.
Chase Sapphire Cardholder
Yeah.
Courtney
A seven and seven, right?
Mary
Yeah, no, that's.
Courtney
That's seven up.
Mary

This episode is supported by FX's the Shards, a seductive drama from executive producer Ryan Murphy. Set in 1980s Los Angeles, the series follows a group of glamorous, deeply entangled high school seniors drawn into a life of wealth, beauty, parties and excess. At its center is Brett, whose reality begins to unravel when the arrival of a new student coincides with a series of mysterious murders. FX's the Shards now streaming on Hulu. This episode was called Back Where It All Began, obviously, because we're in Orange County. The girls are so excited. They're celebrating the sisterhood. Giselle's like, I thought I would do this for five years. Luann's like, I didn't even know what reality TV was. Vicki was like, this is just like a diary of the last 20 years of my life. I'm like, weren't you like only on for 13 seasons or something? I'm not sure. Anyways, Kyle's like, I mean, celebrities watch me. I actually do think Kyle is very humble. What do you do you think?
Courtney
I was gonna agree completely. She recognizes how important this is in her life and how she's changed. I also think she's in a good point in her life, too. She's really happy right now. I'm representing Beverly Hills. I am Beverly Hills. I should feel so lucky. I do think she's kind of beta within this group in a good way.
Mary
Right? I know that's the Interesting dynamic, too, because all of these women have big personalities. They're used to being the center of attention, and they're used to people listening to them. So seeing them all on an even playing field, like Vicki on that yacht,
Courtney
like, listen to me.
Mary
I'm like, oh, my God, this is such a turn off.
Courtney
Yeah, totally. We open with Portia, but we're really opening with Portia because we're opening with Nene, and Portia knows how important Nene is. I think also the fact that we. Portia was let go from the franchise and then got to make a return. She recognizes how important it is to be on this show. And I just think there's something we keep saying, like the celebration of these women recognize how big of a deal this is and how they get to be the representative that Portia's like, nene, get your ass into my house with my own ass. That has its own area code.
Mary
When Nene was like, so what's been going on with you? I've heard you've been swimming in the lady pond.
Courtney
Between that and Portia being like, well, I have to keep my nails short. Because she's like, oh, that's because you're. Yeah, we'll talk about that later. And I said, get it, Portia. There's something about seeing Nene back on our screen, too, that I was like, this feels right. I loved her purse because it had all these little Nene isms on it. It said, like, so nasty, so rude. Just little quips that she had done over the years. And I think this was really was Bravo's way of saying, like, hey, we know you sued us. But we also do recognize that you are important to this and you are the Nene Leakes. It would not feel right. And I think that was just a nod to the fandom of, like, we know Nene is so important to Real Housewives, and they're listening to the fans
Mary
like, this is what we want to see. We want to see her part of it. And they made sure to include it right away, which I appreciated.
Courtney
Now, what do you think about the fact that they give us their map for the season? They're going to start in OC they're then going to Beverly Hills. They're flying over to Atlanta. Sorry, Salt Lake. They're going to Miami, which they're not adding a Miami housewife, but they will be going there. Then they're going to nyc, and then they're going to end up at Bluestone Manor.
Mary
I think we should have hit Salt Lake. It feels Important. Thank God they included Miami in some capacity. And I think a lot of the women are going to be there also. What a short period of time. They did this within two weeks.
Courtney
The fact that Vicky had to cut Giselle off after day one, I'm like, Vicki, you have 13 days left with Giselle. You can't cut her out. Like, what are you talking about? It's so quick now in my mind. And I know obviously they have to fly to these locations. There's not enough time. But I did want to see them in an rv, Road rule style.
Mary
You know what they should have done? They should have gone from New York and did a road trip into Rhode island, went to the place that the New York women with Martini Mike, and then went to Bluestone Manor.
Courtney
Mm, I see what you're doing there.
Mary
Yeah. You like the road tripping with Rosie.
Courtney
Oh, God, why can I never get that joke? I didn't get that one. God damn it. Every time you say that, I don't connect it to Rosie. And maybe that's why they didn't do that.
Mary
Also, when they filmed this, Rhode island hadn't aired yet. Although the Rhode island women will be at Bluestone Manor. Right.
Courtney
Should they have gone to Dallas? Do you recognize the franchises that aren't there? I know Chanel will be at Bluestone Manor, but, like, we don't talk about Dubai again. If your franchise starts with a D, you don't get included because D.C. yes. Also not recognized.
Mary
So I can understand D.C. and I can also understand Dallas, I think got pretty controversial towards the end.
Courtney
Well, Dubai would also be tough to get to on a road trip.
Mary
That would have been hard. That would have been hard. Yes.
Courtney
That would have been tough. So, I mean, it makes sense. But it feels strange that we're going to Miami without having a Miami housewife. And then I was like, I don't know if Alexi would be who I would choose for that.
Mary
Oh, so who would you have chosen?
Courtney
I almost would have loved to see Lisa on air. Or the problem is, is, like, you can't have Marisol or Adriana on it because they're not technically housewives. They're always friends up, even though Miami is totally different. So really, of the OGs, you have Lisa and Alexia, and obviously, I think Alexia makes sense. But I think I would have loved to see Lisa Hochstein on it too.
Mary
She, I think, would have really thrown things off a little bit. She would have been late to everything.
Courtney
That's true. That's true. Like, this cast makes sense. But then it's also, like, does it. People are saying too, like, Lisa Barlow kind of feels a little off because she's only been around for six or seven seasons. They're gonna start their seventh season. I'm. I actually think she's a perfect representative. I know Heather is seething. I know all of those women are seething because Heather, Whitney, Meredith, and Lisa are all OGs. I think Meredith's actually happy. But I know that Heather and Whitney are texting each other up, like, you gotta be kidding me.
Mary
It was probably between Heather and Lisa. I. I would think it was between those two. And then obviously, they got Baby G.
Courtney
So Lisa makes sense to me too. Heather, when she was on her ultimate Girlship, was too much of a fan girl, and her. Whitney had already had it. It made sense for Lisa to go. And I think she's fitting in perfectly with the group. And I think Lisa also very much recognizes why it's important to be on this trip. She is appreciative of it, where I'm like, I don't know if the other women would have represented it as well.
Mary
Also, it feels like they got all of their first choices. This is something you don't say no to. Or maybe you were, like, contractually also obligated in some way to do this.
Courtney
Do you think any of them would have said no? That's why I'm saying, like, I heard the rumor that Candy might have said no and, like, that there were some other people maybe that said no, which I can understand. But I'm like, it makes sense to me to have more active housewives right now to be on this, because then also, if you watch this, and maybe you don't watch Beverly Hills and you watch KYLO on this, and you're like, oh, I'm gonna go watch Beverly Hills now.
Mary
Completely. Yeah.
Courtney
Yeah. Okay. So we go to the Surf and Sand, which also, I don't know if you recall, but I want to say that this location is also famous for Laguna beach. When they. Their black and white party. I'm talking about, like, Laguna Beach. MTV's Laguna Beach. They. I believe they rented rooms at the Surf and Sand.
Mary
I bet you're right. I have no idea.
Courtney
Have to fact check that.
Mary
I would put money on this.
Courtney
If we were on a game show, you'd be okay with this?
Mary
I would.
Courtney
Okay, okay.
JBL Announcer
Yeah.
Mary
I trust it.
Courtney
But they arrive there, and Vicky's first, and she doesn't understand why she was fired in the first place. And, like, because. So Vicki, you also lied about cancer.
Mary
Vicki made me Feel so uncomfortable. She made the women feel so uncomfortable. She's like, okay, ladies, here is your snore machine. I was like, okay, this is a little gimmicky. Like, whatever. But I also feel like she was like, so if you're, like, bored or you don't want to be in conflict, you. You press my snoring. Then when she did the life insurance. But you guys, it's not as a joke. She's serious. She wants. Wants the business. I was like, this is too much. The girls are trying to be so polite. They're like, wait, so what is. So you want my Social Security number? How much I weigh? Like, no, I just. This was so cringe.
Courtney
She was trying for a moment, but it felt like she was trying for a moment. She was better than all of them. Whereas, like you said with Kyle, she's coming in humble. She's like, I can't believe I'm like, the longest running consecutive housewife. As she said in the beginning, I can't believe. Believe that, like, people come up to me. We are stars in our own right. We are part of the zeitgeist. Portia's coming in like that too. They're all coming in. Even like, when they're like, do we call you countess? And she's like, I'm just Lou. I'm Lou from Connecticut. Like, it's JLo from the hood. Jenny from the block. She's like, oh, whatever. It's like, so typical Lou. But, like, they're all coming in, even Tree, who she tries to humble herself, but chat GBT told her she's the most iconic.
Mary
I wonder, too. I'll type it most iconic Real Housewife. Because I wonder if it's like, because she uses it all the time, that it brings up herself. Because it starts to know you.
Courtney
Oh, on chat gbt. Oh, they're like, teresa, of course it's you.
Mary
Number one. It says depending, but number one is Nene leaks.
Courtney
I was gonna say it has to be Nene. Right?
Mary
And Teresa is number two. Bethany, three, four. Lisa Vanderpump, five. Vicki, six. Ramona, seven. Kyle.
Courtney
When was this list created?
Mary
I just asked. Right now. I know, I know.
Courtney
But I'm saying, like, it pulls from things, so I just wonder. But I would say Nene is, like, the ultimate, but maybe Teresa. And, like, longest running. I would say Kyle over Lisa Vanderpump. To be fair.
Mary
Courtney. It says next to Teresa. It says table flag lip plus longevity. Next to Nene's. It says most universally iconic.
Courtney
Yes, yes.
Mary
But it must Know who she is. So of course it's gonna spit out you, babe.
Courtney
Maybe Teresa asked of, like, who's still around.
Mary
Oh, okay. Yeah, she got specific.
Courtney
Yeah, I'd like to see the prompt. I just feel like, Vicki, you're trying to play the game of housewives, and we're not doing that. That we're, like, all enjoying each other. And I just feel like they do not like Vicky. But one of the best parts about this show is that being able to unite against a common enemy.
Mary
They were extremely turned off by her. Like, immediately Giselle being like, is Vicki gonna kill us?
Courtney
And then Vicky's like, we will all die one day even. I'll watch what happens live. Andy asks the women, like, so did any of you fill out the insurance form? And they're like. Like, I. No. And Vicki's like, well, when you're dead, don't come to me, Vicki. They're dead. They won't be. They're dead. Tell them she died sad. Vicki, the victim. You just gotta take her under your wing. We do have to recognize for who she is, but we also know she's annoying. Even though Teresa described Tamara the one word annoying.
Mary
This leg of the trip was a little bit tough. And everyone keeps on saying, like, when they go to Beverly Hills and the white party, like, everyone's saying, kyle throws the best part. So I think it kind of did have, like, a hard jumping off point. People felt uncomfortable by Vicki. Like, it started off with the life insurance. Then she did the seance to Gretchen and Slave. They're like, what are you doing? They felt uncomfortable.
Courtney
Yeah. And I think they had to start in OC because that's where it all started. But I wonder if they started in Beverly Hills and then went down to OC if she got, like, a day to feel comfortable, maybe, or just, like, get back into it. I think you're right. She's clearly a little rusty, and everything has to be about her. She wants the attention. Like, it's all me, me, me, me, me. But recognizing me as the number one. It's like, babe, you're not.
Mary
I know. I know you're not.
Courtney
Okay. The first thing that they do is they're going on a yacht. Seven different outfits, seven different parties. What are we wearing? Teresa's in a bathing suit. Lisa's in first.
Mary
It did not make any sense. Kyle's in, like, jeans and a splendid top. It was so bad. It was, like, nautical. Then literally, Vicki is wearing, like, a full leather outfit.
Courtney
Yeah.
Mary
It was so weird. And then, wait, when they Were driving over and Teresa's like, orange county reminds me of Jersey. And like, Vicki is like, what? This isn't even close to. She's so offended that she would say Orange county is like New Jersey. I think she meant strip malls.
Courtney
Yeah. I think she just meant like they were driving in Corona del Mar and then they went over to Lido. And I kept saying when I was in the Hamptons, we were staying in East Hampton. When we go into the little town right there, I was like, this reminds me of Lido so much. One similar stores, but just like the vibe of it. And that's where they went and caught this yacht. It's in Newport Beach. It's a small, like, quaint little area with these streets that have shops on it.
Mary
Do you think dinosaurs lived there?
Courtney
As someone who was born and raised in Orange County, I did not know this was the land of pterodactyls. But I'm glad that Lisa saw that. A billion years ago, I was like, I do want to talk to Lisa about Pangea. A billion years ago, things were a little different with land. Tectonic plates, the movement of land and shifting and how we used to be one, but now we've got different continents. God bless Lisa. The fashion was really cracking me up. And then I was wondering, like, who bought it off Revolve?
Mary
You know who loves Revolve? Well, we do, but Tamara does as well. It's just the best. I wore all my accessories from the Rugged party. I have this cute sparkle purse from them. My shoes. You can get everything in two days. That's the best part. I've been living in those Steve Madden pants. I have the linen ones now and a cargo. I'm obsessed. It's just from date night, dinners, weekends. You can seriously get it all. I know you wore some stuff in the Hamptons.
Courtney
I did. I had a couple of dresses from Revolve that were very highly complimented. So thank you. this year's girls trip to Telluride was the best. When they are walking to the yacht again, they're in Lido. This is like where Heather Debro's Nobu is that she loves so much. They film here often, but when the women were walking towards the yacht I was cracking up because Kyle at one point says this is the worst kept secret AKA Reho at filming. Because the crowd watching these women come down, the cameras are all out and they acknowledge the fans are what make makes this show. Kyle says, I get stopped and people ask for hugs like I feel like I know you. She's like, it's like you kind of do to watch the meta angle of them recognizing they're shooting this show and this really is a show for fan service.
Mary
What do you think would be a comparable fan base to Bravoaholics?
Courtney
Well, I think you have like the Bachelorette fan base. I think that that franchise has really built up. There's so many. But there's something different about this because I think what Housewives represents is women having a second life.
Mary
Yes.
Courtney
Especially when you look at this cast too. Maybe some are on their third to be real, but there's just something about watching these women. It is a show that promotes women. Yes, obviously there's fighting and conflict, but it's really about watching them come into their own and find who they are, whether they were in marriages that didn't really suit them or they felt like they could only really be housewives. The majority of the women who joined the show aren't actually married or were, but have divorced or found themselves. And so there's a celebration. And I think that this fandom has shown. Here are some real women who have maybe changed over the years, as we'll talk about with their cardboard cutouts, but also have really found their true selves from this show completely.
Mary
I mean, Lisa's the only person that started out on the show married and is still married to the same person. Teresa's the only one married on her second marriage. Everyone else, they were either married. Gisele started out single. It's just interesting to see.
Courtney
Do you think there's another fandom like this?
Mary
No. No, not even close. Not even comparable. I think the Bravoholics are insane, and you guys catch everything. And I love you so much. Our little detectives, little PIs. And it's truly crazy. I love it.
Courtney
Okay, so when they get on the yacht, and I don't know why, it cracked me up when Lisa was like, vicki, like, you go first. It's your yacht. And she's like, no, you. So I can watch your butt. Because I think Vicki wanted the surprise of the cutouts, and she wanted to be recognized for the moment of doing it.
Mary
They all look so different. Don't you agree? In a lot of ways, yes.
Courtney
Obviously, we say, like, you're not ugly, you're just poor. But truthfully, they all look different. And you know what they all look like? When I was looking at Lou, I was like, God, like, Lou looks better now. All of them look great. Great.
Mary
They all look fantastic. I mean, Teresa's like, I've only done the tip of my nose.
Courtney
We watch you get boobies.
JBL Announcer
Come on.
Courtney
Come on.
Mary
When someone was like, kyle has changed the least. She literally has a face transplant.
Courtney
She says, everyone thinks I have, like, we know you got a nose job for your deviated septum. She's like, no, it's just like this Botox. Lisa Vanderpump told me to get like, guys, come on. I'm also pretty sure the season of bangs, even though she says it was for Halloween, it was for a facelift. And look, Kyle, you look fantastic.
Mary
They all look incredible. Incredible. It's truly amazing. But I was like, this is the worst game you could play. Just start out. I did appreciate the game where they had to say, like, their most iconic moment. That was a lot safer of a game.
Courtney
Okay? But I felt like, as I mentioned earlier, I don't know, that these were all the iconic moments for the women. So go through those, and I want to tell you what I think their most iconic might be, and then you can tell me what you think.
Mary
Okay, so Vicki says, the college crashing
Courtney
keg stand, now, that is iconic, because that was amazing. But I would actually say that Vicki's was little family van. That, to me, is iconic. So much so that Kyle rents a little family van later in the episode because it's so iconic.
Mary
Okay. Kyle's is running out in Amsterdam with the cape. I don't think so at all.
Courtney
Great moment. But mine were either like, you're such a fucking liar, Camille. There's something so iconic about that, which really set the tone for that entire season. And then I'd also say Dinner Party from Hell is an iconic Kyle moment. I know she didn't say that, but, like, he'll never emotionally fulfill you. That.
Mary
No, for me, it's definitely not Amsterdam. I bet that's, like, the meme that she gets the most. Because it is a meme. It's like you running out with the cape. That's a meme.
Courtney
I don't see that that often, though.
Mary
It's like, you're the fucking liar. Camille. For me.
Courtney
Yeah.
Mary
Okay, then, Lisa, obviously, it's our hot mic moment. That is it.
Courtney
I think that's a great moment, but I also feel like Lisa has so many actual iconic lines. Hi, Baby Gorgeous. Though I think, think while it's not like an iconic moment, it's such an iconic line. She is synonymous with baby gorgeous.
Mary
17C.
Courtney
Such a good one. But I do think that the hot mic as a moment does stand strong.
Mary
I don't sit in coach, and I don't carry coach. Yeah.
Courtney
And coach is kind of having a moment again, though.
Mary
It really is. Yes.
Courtney
Yeah. Yep. Okay.
Mary
And then Portia brings up her and Kenya at the reunion, and having Kenya having the. The prop and how that changed reunions moving forward.
Courtney
I was surprised she mentioned this, but I would actually say Portia's strongest moment is the underground railroad commentary that she had. Where's the opening for the train? And just that, to me, is so quintessential Portia. Like, I always think that about her. So I would say that was. And when they were on Watch what happens live too, when they were playing this or that for the most iconic. I love that they were bringing up some of the moments. I thought, because I was like, yes, these are. I also do wonder if they brought up multiple moments, but because we had other moments throughout taping, if they just cut to make sure that it was mentioned, maybe.
Mary
Yeah. Yeah.
Chase Sapphire Cardholder
Okay.
Mary
Giselle's line. Wherever I sit, I'm the baddest bitch in the building.
Courtney
Now, that is iconic, but I would say that that's not, to me, the most memorable Giselle moment besides Monique bringing the binder to a reunion is. Is Karen and Giselle having that lunch when the mime shows up to give them an invite to the party? That is so freaking funny. And them both, like, being like, what the hell is this mime doing here? That, to me, is one of my favorite Giselle moments.
Mary
Yeah. It sticks out in your mind, obviously. Tree is the table flip.
Courtney
Yep.
Mary
Lou is the cool, uncool moment. But the way that she told that story was, was so good because she's talking like, we brought these hot ass guys home. And Kyle's like, no one on Beverly Hills has brought in a guy home. The worst we did was eat chips drunk.
Courtney
But Lou, to me, even though Giselle says it's just a Wednesday, Lou falling in the bushes has to be her biggest meme. Now be cool. Don't be all uncool. Iconic. And Andy also said too that one of his favorite Lou lines is when she says not really. I use not really like that so often in my life and I don't think people recognize it.
Mary
And even Louis Vuitton makes mistakes.
Courtney
Yes. But I would say Lou falling in the bushes, like, that's one of my favorite things. Out of all the falls in housewife history that has to rank number one fall down Friday.
Mary
It's on our highlight. Let's go back because Teresa starts talking about, about her taxes and she starts going into it and the women are like, wow, she's really opening up here. She's like, you know, I signed those papers. He didn't pay taxes for 10 years. She's throwing it all out there, feeling vulnerable to talk to them all about it. And Vicki's just like, what? Why you didn't pay your taxes? Ladies, we will have a financial lesson later this week. And I'm just like, no, you're so annoying. This was such a moment for her. She was trying to bond with you. Guys, guys. She has done jail time. They stopped the show because of her. Her ex husband is living in the Bahamas. It's a wild story.
Courtney
I know Teresa, you know, told her story here and there, but if I was one of those women and she was sharing, I'm like, I would love to know details. This is the time I can ask questions, you know, as opposed to reading an interview. And Vicki just can't stand not being the center of attention. She's like, hello, listen to me. Hello. And it's like, Vicki, you're not understanding understand this is not a competition right now. This is a celebration.
Mary
I know. I wonder if she's going to make it to season 21. What is the fans reaction to her right now?
Courtney
Are any of these women gonna make it to season 21? This is a tough season of Orange County.
Mary
Yeah. I don't know what they're gonna do there. That's for another pot.
Courtney
I love too. When Lisa was like, I don't understand, like Teresa's being vulnerable with us And Vicki's giving us a lesson in turbo test ax.
Mary
She's so obnoxious.
Courtney
Then they do a little twerking sesh and they are all really impressed by Kyle's twerking. I mean, they bring it up again on Watch what Happens Live. Kyle, she might not have as big of an ass, but she has a loose backbone. As Portia said on Watch what Happens Live, she's a.
Mary
A rideaholic.
Courtney
Okay, so then the night party. We're going to do a bunko party. Would you have done this funko or what? Yeah, if you're Vicki and you're going to be doing a celebration in O.C. now, I don't know how much Vicki got to do, but if I was Vicki, I'd be doing a sky tops party, right?
Mary
No. I thought this was a fun idea to recreate this funko night. But she gave so much credit to Slade and Gretchen here. It was so weird. And I loved what the women. So he is the pig. Slade is the pig. They were like, stop talking about this. You are giving this man so much credit right now. She was the worst dressed. Her wig was terrible, Spector. I mean, like her whole outfit, girl, you could have done better than Amazon. You know how these women are going to show up? They're going to look fantastic. They're dressing chic 80s and it was, well, nothing. Him, she's. She was Brett Michaels.
Courtney
Is that your Mrs. Roper wig?
Mary
They are gonna look good for this party. You know, like Teresa wearing old Roberto Cavalli.
Courtney
When she said the 80s were 20 years ago, I was like, Teresa, that's so cute. But as someone born in the 80s, knowing my own age, I wish it was 20 years ago. I wish it was Teresa.
Mary
But she got up on that microphone. It's like, do you really need a microphone? There was like 15 people here.
Courtney
And I think the microphone worked.
Mary
It was so embarrassing on so many levels.
Courtney
She gets up there to Debbie down. Now, when I threw the original bunko party, there was this man slate. And then I started thinking because, okay, remember at the party, the rehoget party we were at last week? I don't know if you guys remember, we went there, we kept saying these photos. So like the frame photos had these candles around them that it looked like immemorial. And then I watched this episode with the candles surrounding sounding Slade and I was like, was that a nod to the Slade ones? It's so freaking weird that you're even giving him attention to this as opposed to saying, hey, I had this Bunko party. It did not go well. I am owning the moment, and I'm going to replace the memory. That's all you had to say, Lou. Having to literally break the photo to be like, enough. Stop. It's so embarrassing. You literally don't know the game of Housewives anymore either. Stop. We're celebrating each other. You're setting the tone for this weirdness.
Mary
And then, like, Tamara perpetuates it even more. She's like, and congratulations, Vicki. Like, you got your orange back. And no one's gonna make fun of your looks today. I'm like, oh, what? What?
Courtney
But then they also start clipping. Like, look at her outfit. It's terrible. That wig is so bad. Heather was there to celebrate. And Heather's gonna do Heather. She's gonna bring the cake that the girl broke the bow on. She's going to make sure that she's part of this moment without taking over the moment. Whereas Tamara and Shannon, I think, are slightly pissed that they weren't asked to do this, even though they've also had their own moments. But they're like, we have to compete for a moment. Whereas Heather was there to celebrate the moment completely.
Mary
But I don't even think Shannon wanted to be involved in this. Well, also, this is all Giselle's fault.
Courtney
Say what you want about Gisele, but she's a fantastic producer. She asked the iconic lines. I believe she was the one who asked, who changed the mode. She was giving Tamara and Shannon a storyline for next season. She was stirring the pot. She did give us moments. And the girls took the bait.
Mary
They sure did. Because Giselle's like, so, Shannon, Tamara, do you guys hate each other?
Courtney
I didn't watch her last season, but what happened?
Mary
And Tamara's just, like, also has such a strong buzz, and she's like, well, you know, I tried with Shannon. And Shannon's like, like, that's not the truth. I filmed with you last year. I went away with you. I left with you. I wanted to move forward. And Tamara is just like, I am good. I have a husband. I have my kids going to college. I am the one that has everything. I'm not the one that is struggling. And then she does, like, the drinking motion, too, which she knows is going to fire up Shannon. She has a dui, if you guys don't know. And actually, I feel like Shannon did a really good job. She's like, she's just doing it again. She's saying, I'm a drunk. Meanwhile, she was the person that couldn't even Put the sentence together, like, she loves doing this. And the whole thing that Biggie said to Giselle on the yacht was that I get worried with Tamara because I don't know what she's going to say for the cameras, because she knows she turns it up for the cameras. And Giselle, she did a good job. Shannon and Tamara took the bait. Vicky didn't.
Courtney
I think you're actually right because while Tamara wanted to find a moment, she just drank too much. Even, like, Tamara's outfit was over the top. She wanted the attention from it. Right. I'm gonna come in roller skates in a G string. But you could tell Shannon wanted to be there for the celebration, but she also wanted to let Tamara know she doesn't like her. She's like, were G strings even a thing? It's like, of course they were. What do you mean? Shannon, we all know that this Bunko
Mary
party was from 2011. Tamara put up a side by side from the 2011 party in today. And I. I'm like, oh, my God, you just look fucking fantastic. 15 years has gone by.
Courtney
Was she wearing the same outfit?
Mary
Very similar. Very similar. And I'm just like, whoa, you look fantastic.
Courtney
I also wonder too. Was like, shannon, piss like, okay, well, it's at the Quiet Woman, and that is me. But I wasn't there for the Bunko party.
Mary
Oh, yeah, yeah, I'm sure. A lot of egos.
Courtney
Totally. Watching them all try to manage too. I found that, like, interesting. And then it was like, you had Gina, and Gina wanted to let you know, actually, the show was about my family. I'm technically the OG of the oc even though Vicki claims that. And Vicki did say on Watch what Happens Live they share the title. But I thought it was funny that Gina was trying to, like, also get in there too. Of like, no, this was my show.
Mary
No, I thought it was cute. It's like I started it off too, and I don't know, I appreciated that. But going back to the Shannon and and Tamara fight, because we knew we were going to see this fight.
Courtney
Right?
Mary
Were you underwhelmed?
Courtney
Yes.
Mary
Yeah, me too.
Courtney
Something else happened off camera because I don't know that this warranted not being invited as much. It maybe warranted a warning. You can come, but we're doing a celebration, not competition.
Mary
Yeah.
Courtney
I didn't think it was as crazy, but this party. Then when they did the Bunko, it was the underwhelming part for me. We don't need to play Bunko.
Mary
Right? Right. I guess they probably do as Much as they can to see what footage comes. Comes together. Yeah.
Courtney
I mean, there was some funny footage because Lisa. And Lisa, at the party, she told us, like, you need a good selfie light. And she was like, it's not worth taking a selfie if it's not going to be a good pick. And at the Rehook it party, there was this one guy whose professional job was to have this ring light with this camera. And she was like, we got to follow him. He has the good light.
Mary
The light. I need the light.
Courtney
She knew. I also loved her little rant about trolls.
Mary
Yes. Yes.
Courtney
And she was like, you and your little Cheeto fingers. It is true. Because I feel like there is a fine line of when people, like, go after. And now look, I do feel bad for Vicky because obviously that slave stuff really got to her. And I'm sure, like, the online and everything that was happening, and you feel a little bad, but then you're also like, don't bring it up. We understand why, right?
Mary
No, but I mean, God, she really is a Debbie Downer. It's like, you guys are all gonna die. I had to do this because of online bullying. And then even, like, this season, like, she's really mourning, I think, the dawn marriage, when it's like, you wanted to get out of that. She really is like, grass is greener type of person. But then at the same time, it's like, you are. Wants to stay out of the drama because then Tamara confronts Vicki, and Vicki's like, that. That's not what I said.
Back Market Announcer
It.
Mary
You heard something different. I love you or the trace of me. Guys, you know, I. I don't want to be in conflict. I want to live a good life. And. And stop. Stop getting Shannon. Stop talking about her drinking. Let Shannon deal with that. And they kind of come to, like, a good resolution. But now Giselle has a target on her back because obviously Vicki is going to confront Giselle. And I feel like Vicki will be rude to her the rest of the trip for the next 13 days.
Courtney
Days. But Giselle has a target. But none of the other girls are gonna back Vicki. I know Vicky thinks that she has all of this control because she's the OG of the OC but they're like, we are all the OGs of our franchise over here. Don't try it. Even Portia, who's not the og. She is the OG of the current franchise right now. While also recognizing the OG And Nene.
Mary
I. I feel like they're all just, like, biting their tongues with Vicki. They're like, don't say anything to me. Just hold it back, hold it back. It's 13 more days.
Courtney
I was thinking Vicki doesn't really have the relationships with any of the women. Not that Lisa really does either. But Lisa and Teresa quickly bonded. But it's like Giselle and Lou did love Hotel together. Kyle, Lou and Teresa did the first rehg it together. Was Vicki on that original rehog it?
Mary
No, no, no. She was on Bluestone Manor.
Courtney
Yeah. So they all have these different relationships with each other and I feel like Vicki is someone who wouldn't try to do that. That.
Mary
Yeah. I'm excited to see the remaining episodes. It's like a fun nostalgic flashback in good times. And I'm happy with the starting point.
Courtney
Watching them on Watch what happens live too. Like they were just having so much fun together and it really is a celebration of 20 years. We know in the previews too, they're standing up for Vicki. They all have this sisterhood and they all recognize the impact and their lives have changed. I'd say for the better. They're living their best authentic lives. Except for Vicky. She might not think her life has changed for the better. I hope she doesn't die sad. I hope we can change that narrative for her. But for the rest of them, I think that they're just like wow, wow. And I'm a part of it.
Mary
It's so cool. I can't wait to watch more. And yeah, we will be back tomorrow with Atlanta.
Courtney
Talk to you then.
Mary
Bye.

Girls trip to Telluride was the best. We went up to ourselves with my Sapphire preferred card and with 5x points on Chase travel plus 3 times points on vacation homes with top brands, we got this incredible cabin. It was a mansion and with three times the points on dining. We ordered a wagyu steak dinner and that pistachio gelato was too good. So where should we go next year? I've got ideas.
