it's Courtney from la. And it's Summer House Tuesday. And let's start off with a little breathing exercise. Mary, I want us to inhale, hold it for three seconds at the top, and then exhale. Okay, Ready? One, two, three, in.
Mary
I've been holding it the whole time since you said from the beginning.
Courtney
Inhale, 1, 2, 3, out. We don't have to be on the same timeline of doing it, but I do think it is helpful for us to get a little bit more oxygen to our brains, because I don't know what to do with myself. I am beside myself. I'm the biggest hypocrite I've ever met. I can't have any more leaks. I loved the first one. It was exhilarating. We were on vacation. The backdrop we had, we were getting snippets. I was like, oh, we are mad. Everyone's asking the questions. We're trying to figure stuff out. Yesterday, two of them come out, and I'm like, I have no willpower. The willpower I have is gone. I can't have a leak because now I obviously have to listen to them. And then I have to dissect every single part of it. And I'm recognizing the hard work that Bravo and production put behind this. Okay. And, you know, the integrity of the leaks is rude, but I can't not listen to it.
Mary
No, I mean, I 100% listen to League 2 and 3. League 3 is better than 2. League 2 did not do it for me at all. It's also kind of wild to think, like, that these leaks could maybe not even make it to the actual three hours that they've choose. Is this the same person doing the leaks? I thought they found them.
Courtney
That's a great question. Like Jennifer Lawrence.
Mary
Get on the case, Lawrence.
Courtney
Because it doesn't make sense. Who's leaking this? And then I'm like, if Bravo's gonna be litigious oh, honey, you are in trouble. Or burned all the ground.
Mary
Yeah. I'd be very curious if it's the same person doing it as it had. Right.
Courtney
There's so many people that are on a closed set, and obviously, I think they all sign NDAs. It's like, who knows? Like, somebody that same day could have sent the leak to their friends, and then this got out. Now, I do thank people for their service in a way, because, like, I am not any less of wanting to see the reunion. Like, I want the reunion. That is fine with me. There's nothing that I've heard that I'm like, well, I don't think I want to watch that. I want to watch everything unedited, uncensored.
Mary
Absolutely. This could be four parts for me. I want to know every little detail line. I mean, it was 10 hours of filming. I think this is getting people more excited about the situation, to be honest. I don't think this hurts Bravo in any way. However, I'm okay. If there's no more leaks, I think I can stop at three.
Courtney
Yeah, three feels good. I wanted one, and I was like, maybe a reunion. Look, maybe a hearsay, but the audio. Okay, here we are. It's three minutes. And I was thrilled. Thrilled. You said, courtney, there is an audio leak. I said, get me out of here. I'm off of this blackjack table. Get me out of here.
Mary
Went to the bathroom. And then my friend texts me, and I'm like, in the bathroom listening to it besides going onto the casino floor. And then I just, like, go, courtney, we got audio. And I like, send her this weird audio. The funny thing, it, like, didn't come from the Internet. I don't know where this audio came from.
Courtney
And then I audio file, like, yes.
Mary
And then I just go, I. I'm
Courtney
going up to bed.
Mary
I couldn't even deal with it at the time. And I, like, listened to it on the elevator up. And then I was like, I got to go to bed.
Courtney
Like, this is weird. I was like, where does your friend get this? Like, I don't know. I didn't ask. It was like, it was one of those things where this watergate baby and
Mary
I will protect my friend.
Courtney
Like, no, Naran, did I even tell
Mary
you the friend it was from?
Courtney
No. And I don't want to know. I. I don't want to be complicit in any part. Okay. I don't want to know. I. I'm going to delete it off my phone. I'm keeping it forever. Once somebody Gets like, that file or somebody gets a clip. How many times is it being sent through? Because I was sent these clips via Reddit, right? And then my friends, as it's gone, it's gone. And I'm like, okay, I don't like. You snooze, you lose people, okay? And snitches get stitches. We're Dr. Seuss in this all day long. But it's like, these things come through, and it's like, yeah, the integrity. The integrity in me is like, don't listen. Wait for the reunion. And then like, the devil me is like, if you don't press play right now. Like, if you don't. And then it's just like, I'm telling you, I am Lindsay Lohan and mean girls. When I was like, I could tell they were getting sick of me. If you cut her hair off, she'd be a British man. Like, I can't stop talking about this. And it's actually affecting me personally, because I. I'm obsessed, right?
Mary
Well, it's. It's okay. You have a passion.
Courtney
What's nice about is how we talked about it in Rhode island is it's so popular to, like, Bravo now is like, people I know that don't watch Bravo are also, like, in this, right? And they're like, oh, what's going on with this? Who is Amanda Batuglia? Who is this west guy? You know, everybod wants to know everything because it's really. It's just in times of darkness, we need to find light. And for them, it might be a dark time for us. Best time of my life.
Mary
I know it's a major, major scandal. Now do. How do you want to go over the leaks?
Courtney
I think we could, like, break down what happened in the league, share some highlights, share our thoughts on this. I would like to know your opinion on the leaks in general, like, what you took from them.
Mary
I mean, for league number two, the main theme is like, who made this statement? Did you guys get a PR team?
Courtney
No, obviously not. Wes says Wes, by the way, minimal talking. Minimal talking in both of these clips. All three, to be honest, minimal talking. You could tell from these clips west did not want to put out a joint statement at all. West did not want to have any part of this. He, I think, is annoyed that we even made it to the reunion and they were exposed before this. If there's anything I took away, is that when this was being threatened to be out there or whatever it was that he was like, what if we said nothing? Just like, I will Say at the reunion?
Mom (Verizon Ad Caller)
Nothing.
Mary
Right. Well, okay. Kyle points out, like, that statement was so bad, it's a word salad.
Courtney
Like, you are.
Mary
You are great with your words. Like, what the hell was that? And, you know, she's like, I. I agree with that. And then Bailey chimes in, and Bailey talks about how she saw Kyle and Amanda make out one night, and then she leave with West. And Amanda's like, no, no. I mean, I, like, pecked him. And then they're going over, like, a timeline.
Courtney
She said, I was joking. I kissed him jokingly. Like, you guys are still married jokingly. By the way, that sounds like this night, February 28th. Yeah, we. We get that at least twice in there. This is. Sounds like the night that they were saying Jesse and Kyle. I think this was after brunch. Maybe this was the brunch one. And then they went somewhere, and Weston, Amanda were there, and then they were with other friends. And so it sounds like everyone is at this event. And then I started thinking, is this the event where that rumor came from, where west and Amanda were holding hands under the table in front of Kyle?
Mary
Oh,
Courtney
and was this that one? And they. They were saying, I saw you kiss. Maybe Jesse said that. And then Jesse had asked Amanda, is there something going on between you and Wes? Are you guys hooking up? And she was like, no, Wes. Just my boy. So it was like, were they caught, like, having a kiss? Not like a makeup, but a kiss. And then Amanda was like, I need to overcompensate and go kiss a child. I think you're on Why I need a life, Mary. Okay. But it's like, I started thinking these things of, like, are you overcompensating because you've been caught? And so now you're like, oh, well, I'm just gonna kiss everyone because I don't know what to do. Like, I'll kiss my husband and my boyfriend. Situationship side, bitch. Like, I don't know.
Mary
But then they also talk about how west is, like, so wasted there, and he couldn't even talk. So that was kind of interesting, too.
Courtney
Kyle was going to order 300 of food, and everyone was just going to go back to West's apartment to hang out. The whole thing is so confusing. I hope we get, like, a better, more succinct timeline. Because then Lindsay, at one point, too, was like, hold on. Can we just, like, slow it down for a sec? Like, Lindsay's like, by the way, Andy, I'll take over hosting from here.
Mary
He was listening to her, though.
Courtney
He was like, what?
Mary
What do you want to say? Because I think it did get pretty chaotic. And the most important thing, I think, is the timeline. When did this all start transpiring? I need to know every single hookup date. And we get more dates. Go ahead.
Courtney
Lindsay's like, I want to backtrack because I want to figure out what's going on. Okay, so, like, January 7th, I think she says some. Some early January date. You were. You slept over at West. And Amanda's like, now I didn't. And, oh, my God. Amanda's screaming voice. But Amanda's like, I didn't stay over there. And then I think it's. Sierra was like, okay, well, you were there at an unreasonable hour because Sierra saw that she was there because she already probably had her suspicions.
Mary
And once again, don't give out your tracking.
Courtney
But anyways, so she's like, I wasn't there at unreasonable hours. We were watching a football game. And Wes, by the way, isn't really saying anything to the point where Amanda has to ask Kyle to defend her because Amanda's like, I was with my best friend Katie. Katie, who will be on in the city, by the way. She is a cast member. This is the woman who got married in Italy where Ben wanted to find f his mites. Mrs.
Mary
Right.
Courtney
Okay, we just got to connect all the dots here. And Kyle's like, yeah, Amanda did come with Katie, and she left with Katie. Like, Katie told me, s can't defend her, so she has to reach out to Kyle to defend her.
Mary
I think she also probably, like, made a conscious decision, like, not to sleep at his house multiple times.
Courtney
Do you think something had happened at that point in January? The conspiracy theorist in me wants to go further back, but realistically, I feel like it still is a recent thing because I can only think if you were a side for that long, that's embarrassing. I mean, this whole thing is embarrassing. But then to also have a length of time that's longer than, like, a month or two and not know what you guys are. That's crazy, too. But can we also talk about. Too. Can I interject something between these leaks? Because the day before the reunion last week, Mia from Southern hospitality was on watch what happens live. And she was asked about the west situation by Andy, and she was like, yeah, so Wes and I went out in September. We went on a date, and then Amanda at Bravocon. So if you guys recall, that's like 11:13. So November 13th that weekend, Amanda tells me, oh, yeah, I was pre gaming with west before your date. And Amanda had to tell me of that. I was trying to figure out, were they hooking up at that point, or was Amanda being, like, the number one best girlfriend girl's face friend?
Mary
Well, it has been edited to seem like possibly Amanda has had a crush on Wes for quite some time. And I'm saying that because of the text message from the group chat this week.
Courtney
Courtney, what is the group chat called? It's called bummer house season 10, and the emoji for it is a hot dog.
Mary
So I'm wondering if for a while, Kyle. She knew Kyle and her were not gonna work out, and she was just getting the courage to actually go. And I think going through the right process, like. Like going to couples therapy, she also starting this new show with him. Like, where does that leave them? You know? But I think she always had this, like, friendship with west and adored him. So then when her and Kyle actually break up, they continue this friendship, and then one thing leads to another over copious amounts of drinks and late nights and, you know, things happened.
Courtney
West and Kyle are very similar personalities, too. So, like, if she's drawn to Kyle, I see how you drawn to Wes. No, but just I think also, too, is, like, bad partners, great friends. Like, they're the life of the party. Like, you go and you see them, you're instantly attracted to their energy.
Mary
Yeah, that's polarizing.
Courtney
It's disarming and charming.
Mary
Yeah, that's. Yeah.
Courtney
And then someone said. And that's alarming, I think, too, she could have been leaning on Wes in a friendship way of Wes and the house and Sierra. I mean, Sierra on this week says, too, have you tried trial separation? And they're all thinking about each other. Like, Kyle's much better off this weekend because Amanda's not there. Like, they might just not be a right match. And so I wonder, too, if, like, Wes was being encouraging not for them to end things so that he could swoop in, but just because as a good friend, he's like, man, you guys are so much better apart than you are together. And so was that also part of the courage of her? Spending time with west and seeing, okay, someone's treating me nicely, and I've developed this crush now. I could leave my husband and, like, things would be okay. And, like, do I trust what Wes? I just start to think about, like, the mental fortitude of having to get to this point. And so what was the point of her telling that to Mia, though?
Mary
I don't think there's much there. I don't think they're like, hooking up in freaking September.
Courtney
No, but I also like her saying that to me at BravoCon. They weren't even really around each other at BravoCon. I can remember Carl saying to us that west and Sierra were hanging out a lot at Bravocom. The cast didn't notice that they were hanging out that much. Obviously. We know that Kyle and Amanda were trying to make it seem like maybe they were still together. And that's when the separation rumors had happened and they were sitting next to each other on the couch at the summer house panel. I just don't think it was.
Mary
They went on the plane together. He made it a point to talk about Amanda.
Courtney
Yes. Yes, you're right. When we saw him too, he like Beeline to tell us that he had flown with Amanda. It was important to let us know
Mary
they are trying to protect their jobs. Like, they want people to watch these shows. They want people to watch this new show. We don't even know if the city's gonna work out. Like, it might not get picked up again. Of course it will, but you don't know until you know. We got a little taste of the city this week at soft bar, meeting all the players.
Courtney
But I feel like with in the City, people are like, is this even worth a watch? Yeah. The main thing might have been Kyle and Amanda because we know what we know from that joint statement, but this is Lindsay's show. To me, Kyle and Amanda were one part of it. But this is Lindsay's show. There's like one hundred and fifty other cast members. So even if they start to edit it a little bit differently because we're not going to focus on their separation, there's plenty of drama to still go through in the city's gonna work and it's gonna be just fine. And I think everyone's going to be addicted to it. And so I was also thinking, while they were filming in the city in September, what if the pre game with Amanda was when they hang out and they say, hi, cutie. Hi, Mandy.
Mary
Hi, Mandy.
Courtney
What if. What if the pre game was for filming? So what if she told Mia and Mia just to say, like, Amanda told her that because they were filming, they filmed it before. Hmm, maybe. I'm trying to think of every conspiracy possible, which is why I say it's a problem. Okay, let's take a break and come back with leak number three.
Mary

So this is more Sierra talking and Amanda and Amanda talking about how she has an immense amount of guilt. Like, I was freaking out. Things were so fresh and new. I was confused. I didn't understand what was going on. And the last thing I wanted to do was sit down with Sierra in that moment and be like, I don't what the fuck is happening? Should I have done that? In hindsight? 100,000%. But I was terrified because I knew no matter what that this was going to be a friendship deal breaker for us. And that scared the shit out of me because I had already crossed the line.
Courtney
Okay, so something's happening to her, not the consequences of her own action. The line of, I was confused and I didn't understand what was going on. Babe, you did what you did. You acting confused and not knowing what was going on. You hooked up with west, who's her ex, and I don't care. Whatever level of X it is the betrayal here, and especially as we're seeing these episodes and the line between best friend and dating, which I think you brought up last week, too, but it's very much like you're watching all of this. Amanda, you are a front row seat to this. You're an active player in getting Wes and Sierra to mend the fences here, and yet you're still doing what you're doing. So, like, you knew by crossing that line, you were ruining the friendship and it was over. So, like, as soon as you did that, you were like, sierra and I are done now. You brought up many times a great point. If it happened once, shut the fuck up, take it to the grave and never mention it again. Yeah, except for the fact that you did it again. Yeah.
Mary
No, I mean, my whole thing with this, it's actually even crazier to watch this week's episode because I feel like, and this is just my opinion, I think Sierra was open to a relationship again with west, and her saying best friend and being besties again is not a friendship. I think she wanted to date him again. She literally said to Mia, he is my person this week. And I'm like, this is insane. She was still so in love with him, and everyone knew it. And I think west was, like, everyone's, like, kind of pushing this friendship really hard. And he didn't want to, like, go on a date with her or anything like that.
Courtney
But he's also perpetuating it on his side, too, like, constantly talking to her, giving her hugs, sitting next to her. So he's at fault for, like, blurring these lines. But I think it's just like, for me, what I grabbed from a lot of these clips, too is like, the vitriol. Unwarranted vitriol, by the way, from Amanda towards Sierra is crazy. She is talking to Sierra with such attitude because she's being held accountable. And so here's the first conspiracy theory that I. Yeah, okay. So in the third leak, Amanda, she is mad. Mad. And the way she's talking to Sierra is totally out of left field. I don't understand why. Why? Except for the fact that I think what happened because we get a little bit more of a timeline, too. I think that Sierra told Amanda, I have absolute proof. So she saw the intimate video was. That was alluded to in the first one.
Mary
Right.
Courtney
That we had heard about. And she was like, I know, I know. I have irrefutable evidence. You cannot lie to me anymore. I know. And Amanda freaked out because she was like, now we have to address this because I feel like someone's gonna say something like, there is a video out there. We have to get statement out. West was like, no, we don't. We don't have to do anything. Like, let's just, like, get through the next few weeks. We have the reunion. They wanted to get out over the reunion, get over that hump, then figure it all out. And Sierra basically fast tracked this affair for them to have to admit it happened. So Amanda has, like, this intense hatred for her for making it be exposed.
Mary
Okay, I'm buying in.
Courtney
Well, I just feel like a lot of people are like, well, Amanda's so jealous of Sierra, blah, blah. And it's like, that all might be true, but. But there's something about her being upset at Sierra for knowing. Okay.
Mary
Yeah, no doubt.
Courtney
Do you see what I'm saying there? Like, I. I definitely do. Yeah. I just.
Mary
She just should have gone into the reunion and just apologized, and maybe she will. We've heard seven minutes total. These are snippets. Yeah. And I'd be really curious if, like, how they're even going to kick it off. I mean, are we just jumping right into this? How are we going to talk about anything else?
Courtney
Well, it's going to be like this. Hi, guys. So as you can see, we are back at the country fair where we started the season off. Amanda west, why'd you do what you did? I.
Mary
Like, I. I'm just so curious how we're gonna jump into this and how are we going to talk about the rest of the season?
Courtney
Yeah. I think Andy has to start off of, like, obviously we have a lot to talk about, and we're going to get there. Let me say hi to everybody first. Let's just. Hello. Hello. You look great. Or maybe we don't even say hi. It's more just. It's going to be everybody coming on the stage, and then Amanda and West will be last.
Mary
I. I agree with that. Or is it Sierra last?
Courtney
No, Sierra's first.
Mary
She starts.
Courtney
I think she starts, but. Okay, let's talk more about this leak, too, because a lot of them are trying just to hold accountable, and Amanda, like, goes into this victim mode, which is like, you cannot be the victim when you're the perpetrator. That's just not how it works amand amanda. But we have to mention the fact that she, like, goes on the defense and she's like, well, why am I even here? I guess. I guess I'm not allowed to answer a single question. Sierra calls her out like, you are not a credible source anymore. You are lying. So why should we believe the things that you're saying? Like, we're looking for answers. And you were like, I'm confused. I'm a widow, baby. I. Those are my words. But then they also talk about, too. Sierra was like, imagine katie, which this is katie deluca that we talked about on the second link. Imagine Katie that kyle started hooking up with Katie. How would you feel? And she's like, well, katie would never do that because she's my best friend from third grade. So she's basically saying, sierra, you and I were never that good of friends. That's the implication there.
Mary
I feel. I feel like that's what's going to come out. And, like, we're going to talk more about that birthday dinner. And there it's going to be like, kind of like the dorit and kyle. Like, we were just friends on the show.
Courtney
It's not gonna go well because it's like, you guys needed to come. If you want to come in as a united front, fine, because it's either be done with each other or get married. Come in as, you know, front. But you needed to come with your tail between your legs. And I pose this question to you. Is it smarter to come to the reunion and not say anything a la west from what we've heard of these leaks?
Mary
Or.
Courtney
Or do you think that you should come in with these, like, word vomiting excuses and try to plead your case?
Mary
I mean, I think you come in with the facts and you say, this is what really happened. And I think she just needs to, like, admit everything and just know, like, you're in the wrong no matter what. And you just, like, take it. That's all. That's all you could have done. That's the only thing you could have done. Walk in there. This is not what I ever wanted to happen. I didn't anticipate this. We kept hanging out a lot. I was having the best time with him. And wes needs to chime in, too. We hooked up one night and we were like, we can never do this again, and maybe they will say all this. And then it kept happening, and we really like each other and we want to give this a shot.
Courtney
And this doesn't that's the problem.
Mary
But the only reason we did this is because we think it could be the real deal. And so we have to pursue it. Like they have to go that angle. And that's the thing is it's like,
Courtney
as I've said, it is clear in these small clips of Wes B. Basically speaking a line or two that he was like, she's not my girlfriend. I was just hooking up with a friend. It went he shouldn't have done it and it happened. But yeah, and I also think it might have been sort and maybe they will. And then these are follow up questions too of Amanda being like, look, we obviously have to give our side of the story. I am asking for five minutes of silence from everyone. Let me give you the timeline, Let me tell you what happened and then we can do follow up questions. Because I'm afraid that if I But no, really, like bring out a 17 page email alla Kyle that has the full timeline and say like, let me read this off to you because I want to be clear because she also says too in the leak where they were like whatever the date is. And she's like, no, it is important to have an understanding of what the dates are. So I'm like here, January 1st, we did like go down the line also.
Mary
Could you like imagine if this is your life that you have to like report to people and let them know every single time that you like someone.
Courtney
Here's my intimate list. You don't have to like even give like the full details of it. But I think the smart thing would be, as you said, you gotta be upset with yourself and upset that you ruined these friendships and just say I sorry will never be enough. I hope at one point that you will be able to forgive me. I am temporarily insane. I need to go to rehab. I need to figure out. I need to talk to a therapist and see why I've made the decisions I've made. Except for the fact that I don't think they think they've done anything wrong. They're two single people who hooked up. Yes, they have a past with other people, but apparently it was worth ruining the friendship for. And Amanda's separated.
Mary
It's also so annoying that like it. It is all falling on Amanda.
Courtney
I was gonna put you to put things in order for me. Where the level of most responsible to least responsible in this? Okay. Amanda betraying Sierra. Amanda betraying Kyle. Wes betraying Sierra. Wes betraying Kyle. How would you rank those four?
Mary
The exact way that you just said it.
Courtney
So it's Amanda betraying Sierra. Amanda betraying Kyle west betraying Sierra west betraying Kyle. Interesting. Would yours be different? Yes. Oh, I'm actually putting at the top Amanda Sierra. Obviously, I would say West Kyle because their relationship sounds a lot deeper than what we see. Then I would say Amanda Kyle because of the marriage stuff. And then. But it's kind of a tie with Wes Sierra, because I don't know what their relationship fully was if they were casually dating, hooking, up, whatever.
Mary
But at the same time, they have a past. I mean, they haven't talked for two years because of that.
Courtney
Yeah.
Mary
And then you're gonna go and hook up with one of Sierra's friends. Like, that's wrong.
Courtney
Of West.
Mary
Even if it wasn't Amanda, for him
Courtney
to, like, hook up with.
Mary
With any one of her friends is inappropriate. Yeah.
Courtney
So what was my order then? I just feel like the main thing is Amanda Sierra. But then I think, yeah, Wes, let's
Mary
hold west to the fire a little bit too.
Courtney
I mean, I agree, but that's what I'm saying. Is it better to be silent where it's just like, take it all. Because, you know, they say if you're silent, you're not as stupid as when you talk. I don't remember what the full line is, but there's something about saying silent is golden. But I just. In those order, like, they're obviously all bad, but I would love for people to tell us. Us what? The level of betrayal that they find. And I assuming number one would be Amanda Sierra.
Mary
I'd agree with that. Yeah. Yeah.
Courtney
Okay. But you're Amanda. Amanda West. West.
Mary
Yeah. Unfortunately.
Courtney
Yeah. No, and I. And I.
Mary
Because. Just because Amanda and Kyle were married, you know, and then so then Amanda also hooking up with a friend. Just inappropriate.
Courtney
The last three can be interchangeable. It is crazy. It's just. I just don't know what their strategy was of going into the reunion. Yes.
Mary
I don't think they had one. That was the problem.
Courtney
I know why, like, you had so much time to prepare, you guys, and maybe they did. Like you said, it's been 10 hours, and maybe they'd already given their rehearsed answers, and now they were, like, going off the cuff here because they had to answer more questions. Let's take a break and come back.
Mary

Mary
Tell me what Kyle said today.
Courtney
Oh, he just like hates West. Bravo and Cocktails had posted and they said west explicitly asked that any criticism or quote unquote heat be directed at him rather than Amanda on his podcast or Wes then proceeded to sit silent in all three audio clips that have been leaked. And Kyle responds, he's all PR and zero intention or integrity. The reunion was a brutal beatdown and I can't recall a moment when he had Amanda's back. Sad face emoji. Now a lot of people are saying, oh, there he is defending Amanda. And I'm like, I don't think it's him defending Amanda. I think he hates Wes with a thousand fiery sons. Like, he cannot stand this guy. He feels so betrayed by him that he's like, if you're gonna at least hook up with my ex wife defender.
Mary
I feel like we're gonna find out a lot more things about west. Just like them being like he was so wasted he couldn't talk. There's gonna be a lot of things, I think, that come out at the reunion that we're going to be shocked by about West.
Courtney
Do they make these reunions extended episodes on Bravo? It's like, if I'm an advertiser, I'm like, I will be paying for a commercial spot on Bravo. I think we'll get extended on Peacock unce. I don't feel like we've even heard the most of it. It's crazy that they're focused so much on the timeline, but it's because they don't want to focus on the betrayal.
Mary
Right?
Courtney
Like, they want to tell you why it was okay for them to do what they did because it shouldn't have actually hurt anyone because of the timeline where it's like it didn't matter the timeline.
Mary
Well, they have to own this situation because they did it, you know, and they're continuing to do it, so they have to keep going with it. If they're. They're literally still hooking up in real time. What are they going to do this weekend? End.
Courtney
Let's make a prediction. Okay. What do you think? They're gonna go see the matinee of Moulin Rouge. I'm just kidding. Okay. No, they're gonna be at a dive bar.
Mary
I'm trying to think.
Courtney
I also saw too someone said that they've seen west on Raya.
Mary
Oh, I'm. That's not shocking at all. They're not exclusive.
Courtney
No. I think what's so crazy to me too, I. I just keep thinking, like, okay, Amanda, you burned all of your cast friendships. I don't know what the friendship she has irl like Katie in the city. Like, I would love to know what the other in the city castmates are thinking because, like, we don't know them yet. Right. And so it's like, what are they saying about everything too? Like, are they pissed about this or do they think it's good? Because I still think it's good. I still think people are going to be tuned into in the city because they're going to be looking for clues with Kyle and Amanda, regardless of the timeline they give us, we will have three weeks of the reunion with three weeks of in the city.
Mary
Yes.
Courtney
And so it's like you go from the reunion to in the city looking for clues that had just happened in the reunion. But she's burned all of her cast friendships here. At least summer, Summer House, who knows in the city.
Mary
Sure.
Courtney
She has also, like, ruined professional opportunities for her because she's kind of a Persona grata right now.
Mary
But maybe not she. Can she go on House of Villains? Can she go on Traitors?
Courtney
Is she interesting enough to lean into the villain role?
Mary
I don't know yet.
Courtney
West is, I think, compelling as a villain.
Mary
I think Wes will go on Traitors.
Courtney
Not anytime soon, I don't think.
Mary
Really.
Courtney
Okay.
Mary
They had Tom Sandoval.
Courtney
I know, but they had Tom Sandoval like two, three years after Scandal. I feel like he was on last season.
Mary
They could fast track this. I.
Courtney
Well, who knows? We. He might be on Summer House. We don't know how the chips are going to fall. But not only that, she also ruined goodwill with the audience. And unfortunately, not that she's not most at fault for this. Sierra Betrayal. But unfortunately, just like the masses are meaner to a woman than they are to a man.
Mary
Completely.
Courtney
I was thinking about this. I'm like, west has it easier of that uphill battle, unfortunately. He has the complex side. He has the sports side. What does she have that's on her own that she can take? Are people going to buy her swimwear line? I don't think so.
Mary
They're definitely not.
Courtney
Yeah. And so it's like she's burned all these bridges. And then when this does fizzle, unfortunately, unless they're moving to New Jersey with that, that picket fence, what does she have?
Mary
I don't think this is the end game. Like, they're not end game. I'd be shocked.
Courtney
They don't even have a label right now for what we know what we know. Her uphill battle is so hard to try to win any sort of points. And I was thinking from the audience perspective, do you think there's anything she could be doing to win people back? Or do you think it's fade into the distance?
Mary
Fade into the distance, Take some time off. I mean, look at Stassi's comeback right now. She took it like five years off and she has her own show. I mean, it's not the same situation. Stassi went out for a bad, bad reason.
Courtney
You're saying cancel culture necessarily isn't real because everyone has the opportunity to have a comeback story.
Mary
They can't. They can.
Courtney
Yeah. Yeah. So in the. In current interim, there's really nothing that she could do.
Mary
No, I would say stay off social media.
Courtney
Don't go out with West.
Mary
I predict them being at a rooftop bar this weekend.
Courtney
If it's nice in New York, they've got to get out in that sunshine. It's mind boggling to think about because it's like, okay, yes, people hook up, whatever that happens. And that's what I feel like. They're just. They don't want to lean into. Is the betrayal aspect. Like, okay, yeah, I betrayed Sierra, but she's not my best friend since third gr. And it's like, so how are you going to trash this summer after literal statements from you about how Sierra is one of your best friends? You can't believe the loyalty she's given to you. You couldn't have gone through the summer without her. And then you're going to play a different story. And it's like, how much vitriol do you have for her? How mad are you at her? Because she's upset that you would do that.
Mary
I know. It's just not a good look all around. Can't get out of this one.
Courtney
Not at all. Well, should we start with the episode?
Mary
Yes.
Courtney
Okay, so what is the title? Tell us, because it kind of makes me laugh.
Mary
Ship happens. And when I was watching it back they were playing flashbacks from the week prior. And I don't remember Wes saying this. He said something like, I just hope that there's enough foundation that this up from last Saturday was just a blip. Did we see him say that? I don't thought okay.
Courtney
But it just seemed like it was something that he had said to her. A lot of people pointed out, too, that Wes wasn't giving icons contact to Sierra during the whole conversation. And it's just weird because you have to again, watch it with a different lens, right? So you're thinking too, is he doing this for the show? Especially as we continue to watch the episode and we're talking about what their future is. I'm just, like, thrown off by everything.
Mary
West went into that conversation thinking, we are never going to talk again after this. He thought this was the final conversation. He was shocked that she is actually saying, I want to be best friends with you again. And we still don't know what best friends means.
Courtney
Well, it's like they end with that hug last week, right? And then even on the car ride over, Jesse's like, well, I hope that they're, like, holding hands in the air to welcome us. And then they, like, literally do them. Like, he's been on point. You guys need to be nicer to Jesse Solomon, okay? This house, I will say, is full of whiplash, by the way. Everything that's happening at these house with these different relationships, I'm like, huh? What? Wait, where are we at? Huh? Oh, we're serious. Oh, okay. That them being, like, best friends again. After watching this episode, Mary's kind of right. It was an opening to say we could be more than friends.
Mary
I think a thousand percent. Like, she wants to be best friends with him. Like, is the end game. She says this is her person. I mean, I think the whole group shows up and there's like, they're holding hands. Kyle on the ride over, is like, is there a world that she acknowledges that. That she has lingering feelings. And he's like, I'm hopeless. Romantic, Helpless romantic.
Courtney
He starts off helpless. And Ben's like, no. And he's like, oh, is it hopeless?
Mary
And Mia's like, I think they're just gonna be friends.
Courtney
You know, I think she was like, I think this first convo is let's be friends. I'm like, oh, so there's a second one. Like, that's how I took away. It was like something more because you can see it. Like, he is disarming. He is charming. She knows when it was good. It was Good. It has to be so hard to be Sierra and being like, I'm mad at him, we aren't talking and then see him being the life of the party and being like, I wish we could just have fun like that. We had the best time. I have to be mad at him, but I don't want to be. And there's like this weight lifted off of her shoulder when they're like, we could be best friends. Right.
Mary
And she's also been mad at him for two years. It's a lot more energy to be mad at someone than it is to be friends with someone. And they have the same career, they understand each other, others jobs and business, which I think a lot of people can't relate to this, like, reality lifestyle. And like, they know it's gonna fade. This summer house, it has an expiration. It's crazy that it's even gone on for 10 seasons at this point. You know, when these people signed up for the show, I mean, how would you ever think Lindsay Hubbard would have a baby in this house? You know, it's truly insane. So they know that, like, they have to strike as it's hot right now.
Courtney
I think they also all acknowledge too, is this is the end of a certain summer house era. This season we're on the second to last weekend. I think Sierra's thinking I'm not on in the city either. I don't want to have another summer where I don't have who I think is my best friend Amanda Kyle. Like, these people I've been on this show with since I've been on season five. I don't want to have this hate for Wes. Like, I would like to be able to have a good time and move on, especially if it's going to be us and the house together. And like, Jesse west and I could be that threesome we were that first summer.
Mary
Yeah. No.
Courtney
You know, there's so many different layers, if you will, of how they're all handling this. And so just watching it and then knowing what we know today, like, wow, you guys.
Mary
But also, you know, because they show up holding hands. I'm sorry, do you hold hands with your guy friends? I. I don't hold hands with my guy.
Courtney
This house is so insane. I think they do. I think they all do hands. I was holding hands with everybody at the blackjack table. Okay. Sometimes you're wishing for luck. Okay. And it has to be done through human touch. Okay. I think it's more victory. We're okay, guys. We did it. Maybe.
Mary
Maybe.
Courtney
Okay. Well, let's take a break. I'm gotta go outside for a second, touch some grass. Let's come back, we'll talk the rest of the episode and we'll break it all down. Down.
