Courtney
it's Courtney from la. How you doing?
Mary
I'm all right. Everything is all right. Oh, that's a totally different rendition. Did that throw you off?
Courtney
Remix.
Mary
As I watch it now, I'm like, okay, so we need two lawn chairs
Courtney
for the opening credits.
Mary
We need water balloons. We need a truck.
Courtney
Like a Suburban. Like an SUV to clean.
Mary
Yeah.
Courtney
We need a barbecue, and I think we need, like, a picnic table. I know you're fixated on the water balloon part. I feel like that's the only part you can remember because it's the end.
Mary
It's like, sing your part.
Courtney
I'm all right Everything is all right that went a little too raspy, but I think you get it. I think at this point, if you don't know that we sing this every time this episode comes out.
Mary
I'm sorry, Then something's not all right with you.
Courtney
Yeah. Get it checked. What is it? Maybe it's your balls, because balls voyage. We're having vasectomies this week. And Danny is such an actor because he's like, oh, getting high on the nitrous.
Mary
Okay. That entire scene, I'm like, he's even annoying when he's getting surgery. But then I realized when you do the gas, I love gas. I get gas for cleaning. It's the best because it's like having two glasses of wine. That is the same buzz. And he's annoying drunk, so clearly he would be annoying on the gas, because it's the same gas is the best.
Courtney
I feel like he was performing because he wanted Zach to hear it out there. He wanted everyone to know. Hey, guys. Getting snipped. Snip, snappy, snippy, snap, snap.
Mary
And then I kind of thought about. I'm like, oh, maybe Nia can't be on birth control because of their religion. I don't know. That just came across my mind. I don't.
Courtney
I think she just doesn't want to take any chances. She is done. She wants her mommy makeover. She wants no more babies. The only reason Danny wants another baby is because he wants another son.
Mary
I know. And I have Been following Danny on Instagram and he only posts Instagram stories on Sundays and he's showing the church that he's a church going man.
Courtney
Okay, but you know what's like, crazy and I wish that. And reflection is so silly because none of them will do it. So, like, lol. But you watch this beginning scene about with Nia and Dani, not even the Mexico talk, but about the fact of like her going and judging Miss USA and they're taking care of the baby right there. And she's like, and you have child care here 7 to 7. And their relationship actually seems very nice there. I was like, oh, this is probably what people see when they put them on this pedestal of this perfect relationship. And I'm like, and that's why alcohol is a problem. Because where he's like, you're the perfect size. Like, he's very complimentary towards her. And then when he drinks, he's a different person. And yet he like, can't seem see the difference. Do you know what I mean?
Mary
He's just so tough to watch. I mean, even in his confessional, he's like, I know our marriage will always be strong, but this whole Attack Danny train is so freaking stressful. And it's like you make it stressful because you're the one that keeps bringing it up. Every single time, it's really on you. And every single time it's when you're drinking and then you are putting fuel on the fire. I cannot feel bad for this man.
Courtney
It's tough because he is the number one guy in his group at the church, in his family and probably his extended family. Like, everyone's like, Danny and Nia, they're the best. And then he comes to this group and some of them think they're the best, like Kristen and Luke, who are probably the biggest proponents. Jesse and Lacy, Zach. And it's all what Lala said too, right? You're in the comment section. You guys see where the audience is and that's why you're gravitating over there. It is all part of strategy. Jesse says that about Janet. I'm like, Jesse, the same be said about you. You guys are all strategizing, which makes this show a little weird, to be honest, because I can read through the lines of all of that of like, why I think some people are actually friends. And then I think some people are in an alliance.
Mary
Well, they've made Janet look great this season. I think the majority of people are probably Team Janet. We actually need to do a poll and the poll Needs to be like, who would you like to leave? Danny and Nia, Janet and Jason Both.
Courtney
Well, everyone will say both. You think you're telling me I have a choice of one? One or two? I'm taking two.
Mary
You think people would want both of them to leave, then that would leave like Kristen. Who's she gonna fight with? What's gonna be the drama?
Courtney
Just Luke.
Mary
Don't worry.
Courtney
She'll find someone. Don't think that Kristen won't figure out someone to have an issue with.
Unknown Male 3
Mm.
Mary
It's just so interesting. So because she read the comment section, she decided to protect Danny and Nia because she didn't like the vocabulary of sexual assault. So that's why she's protecting him.
Courtney
I disagree on that, to be honest. I. I think that's part of it. I think for Kristen, I think maybe Luke is like that. But I actually really think Kristen lives off. If you go watch any Vanderpump rules old episode, she latches on to one person, wants to wear them. Like last season's Versace. She gets obsessed. Her and ne were pregnant at the same time. I think she likes Nia, and I think she thinks that Nia is the person that I need to be besties with. I think she also saw that they were liked, so that was helpful. But I think the motherhood thing for the two of them is actually a reason of why she likes Nia. But the obsession she has with Nia is that she'll just defend her to the end. I think it's more people like Jesse, Zach, Jasmine in general. They're like, well, we got to get rid of Janet. Janet is the enemy. Nia's Kristin's number one, and Janet is the number one enemy. And it's either them or it's you guys.
Mary
I will say I felt like Janet was a little strategic this episode, especially at the end, going up to Jesse and being like, I really like Lacy. I should have given her a chance. When can we go on a double date? And Jesse's like, I am not buying this. I think this is all strategy. But I also like what Lala said in the episode where she's like, so like, Kristen, when are we gonna let this go? Because you kind of gotta let the mouse go, and that's Janet. If we're never gonna move on, then this show isn't gonna continue.
Courtney
Well, Kristen and Janet are more alike than Kristen thinks. And that's the crazy part, is all these things that she doesn't like about Janet are similar things that Kristen has done in Time. Janet is her bitch eating chicken salad. But it's like you guys were best friends for a reason. Like, Kristin, you literally hacked into James Uber account to see that he had gone to Jenna's house to sleep with him. Now, that's fine because your boyfriend was cheating on you. You went to, like, the ends for people. You are a detective Doty, too. You flew Miami Girl out. Come on. You are the same person of Janet of wanting to be right.
Mary
Maybe that's why she is so scared of Janet. Because she knows Janet has the bodies, because she knows she has the facts and the receipts because they used to do that together. This is a great theory. This is a great theory.
Courtney
I think you're correct on that. I think when you make the point of, like, is it Dani or Nia or, like, Janet or Jason? If Dani and Nia, let's say they get fired, I feel like that will light a fire up Kristen's ass that she's like, you got rid of my best friend. Now I have to reattach myself to Britney and fight to be Britney's number one. And that will piss her off that she'll still go after Janet. But if you get rid of Janet, Janet and Jason, then it's like there's gonna be this smugness from the other side that's like, we won.
Mary
Yep.
Courtney
And I don't want to see that either.
Mary
But is there any way where they all stay?
Courtney
The reunion will be very telling. I think Janet can move past it in a way where she can be in the same room with them and coexist. Because I think that if you want this to work, you guys have to figure out how to coexist. You have to figure it out. He also doesn't have Jason this season, too. Jason is out with an injury. He's on the fence.
Mary
I. I wrote in my notes, I'm like, we get a cameo from Jason. I forgot about Jason. I really did. And I like to look at Jason.
Courtney
I do, too. He's very handsome. With not having her partner, I think that's made her vulnerable too, where she's actually had to make up a lot of ground, which maybe has been in her benefit this season.
Mary
Good point.
Courtney
But I think that Danny and Nia and Kristen and Luke and I think that's what Lala is saying. Like, they're the ones who have to move past it. Stop bringing it up. Danny, you gotta stop drinking. Because if you give them nothing to talk about, guess what? They can't talk about it.
Mary
Exactly. Exactly.
Courtney
The whole thing's frustrating. And we're on what episode 16. Next week's not even the finale. How much more do we have?
Mary
I texted Courtney and I was like, it's not even the penultimate episode. Like, we still have more time to sing. I'm all right.
Courtney
It's like, oh, thank God. What would we do?
Mary
I was gearing up for it to get to the end.
Courtney
Oh, God, we have a Halloween party.
Mary
We still have time.
Courtney
I know. It just was like, oh, we still have things going on. Schwartz's girlfriend can maybe come for a hot second. Then she does have to get on a plane.
Mary
She does feel like she doesn't want to film. She doesn't want to be in the limelight, which I appreciate. She isn't with him for the fame.
Courtney
Sure. Or she's watched this show and she's like, so they're gonna come after us next. I'm not ready for that. Where are my sunglasses? She is like the girl, you know. You know what, Big daddy? When Adam Sandler gives a little boy sunglasses and he's invisible. Oh, that's Schwartz's girlfriend. She puts on the sunglasses, so she's invisible. And then she also. I wipe my own ass.
Mary
I do think Tom Schwartz is smart. Do you?
Courtney
Yes. He was pre med married.
Mary
I always think about that.
Courtney
I Schwartz. There is a lot of PTSD with Schwartz. I do think he needs a therapist if he doesn't have one. I do think that there's an energy, there's a dark energy within him that he's had to suppress. And he's gone through a lot. And I think he is so conflict avoidant because there's triggers for him at this point. There's something very sad about Schwartz, but I also think he's has empathy too. If we go into the balls voyage
Mary
at Boko Mountain, exactly where I'm thinking,
Courtney
how come we're not complaining about driving to the Valley, but when Jesse and this makes them look so bad, they bring up that. Janet has mentioned a lot of women have gone through situations with men that were inappropriate. He's like, well, why didn't she bring that up earlier? So, so sorry. She didn't want to talk about what happened to her. Jesse and I like what shorts was like, so we need to not talk about that because we don't even know what the trauma is. We don't know what Janet's referring to. It's not our place to speak on that. And I was like, smart. Smart.
Mary
No, exactly. I think he is very, very smart. And Jesse's like, just not fine. He's like, Janet is changing her story now. She is projecting her own hurt onto Danny. And why is this suddenly coming up? It felt very icky and gross. And what was also icky and gross was Danny being pissed that Nia has to work because he can't be babied.
Courtney
I like to be cared for, you know?
Mary
Oh, my God.
Courtney
That. That's why it's like, okay. When they have conversations together at the beginning of the episode, I was like, oh, like, this is nice. I actually feel like they're a team here. And then when he does that, I'm like, oh, because they're a team. Because she takes care of everything. Danny, you know, any good favor you have, I'm trying to benefit of the doubt. I'm trying to find a positive here. And you're really not helping. And so now everything's just going to be a negative. I'm sorry if you guys are yelling at your phone or radio, whatever. When I said that they could be a good couple. I'm sorry.
Mary
Even her being the person that's like. So I have found the child care for you while I'm gone 12 hours a day because the children will sleep the other 12 hours. Yeah.
Courtney
I was thinking like, okay, so he maybe has to put one kid to bed.
Mary
They probably all go to bed at 7.
Courtney
And then he'll have to be up if Adeline's not sleeping through the night.
Mary
He has Adeline. She has to take Adeline because.
Courtney
Oh, because the breastfeeding. Oh, okay. So he has the three kids.
Mary
Oh. Which that is a lot. I'm sure that's overwhelming. And people are probably having to go to different places and do different things if they're in activities and stuff.
Courtney
And sometimes also. How many days is this, though? Three maximum.
Mary
I have no idea.
Courtney
It feels like it's not that long of a trip. And then I thought too, we couldn't change the vasectomy date.
Mary
That and you guys. The stress of their home in their primary with all the. Everywhere. I was freaking out. I can't imagine how much laundry they have constantly. But I'm the type of person, like, I. I do want one load a day. And yeah, I am constantly folding it. I put it away as soon as it's done. Otherwise you get the pile up.
Courtney
I think actually you're in the minority there, and I think that's amazing. The washing and the. And the drying is not the hard part, Right? Not even necessarily the folding. It's like finding the place, the home for it, it's, you know, it's.
Mary
You haven't had the patula problem.
Courtney
It sounds like my second bedroom does get full of stuff and then someone comes and visits and I'm like, God damn it. I have to find a home for things. And usually the home is just thrown in a closet. I don't want to open that closet. It's going to be a wave of stuff. But wasn't that the whole reason they needed to move to the Valley was because they had too much in their two bedroom house in the Valley the first season? So they moved and it's like it's all still there and you know, you know, Danny's not doing any of it. So it's really just when Nia can find time and she doesn't have time. Collab with a closet organizer company. Yeah, Kyle Cook did it on in the City column.
Mary
Imagine it done.
Courtney
That's what it's called. Because I'm like, oh, I would like to imagine what it'd be like when it's done.
Mary
I would love to have one of those people come. Oh, I love a clean, organized situation.
Courtney
There's also, there's just times that you're like, I gotta find a home for it right now. And then that becomes the permanent home. And that's not the permanent home. Let's take a break.
Mary

Let's talk about Jasmine's wedding dress shopping. I feel like Bravo did a really good job because I don't think we've highlighted that many lesbian couples. I feel like we focus a lot on gay men on Bravo. And I feel like this is one of the first times we' celebrating two women getting married on Bravo, which I thought was very sweet.
Courtney
I do wish Zach wore a different outfit.
Mary
Oh, what did Zach wear?
Courtney
He was wearing an American flag hat backwards and then jeans and a T shirt. And there's just something. It felt me. You know what? I'm gonna back up. Maybe he had to wear a hat because he was hit in the head with a stoplight in Mexico. So I guess I'll give that to him. But you know who looked amazing?
Mary
Brie.
Courtney
Bring me in this black dress. I'm like, you need to buy this style dress. She looked fabulous. Like that was her cut.
Mary
I agree. She looked fantastic. I thought this was such a sweet moment. Jasmine's mom talking about people will have heartbreak and you cannot let it break you and you can never give up on love. And I prayed for God to send her down a man. And then I realized God needs to send her someone that will love her and take care of her. And her and Melissa are the perfect match. It was so, so sweet. I'm obsessed with her mother and seeing Jasmine feel so confident trying on these dresses.
Courtney
She's like, I didn't think I was
Mary
gonna look this pretty. I thought it was an endearing moment.
Courtney
I completely agree. I love the moment with her mom. I think that was really sweet. I do also have to comment, though, that we can never escape them because the name of the wedding store was called Jackson James.
Mary
Really?
Courtney
J, A X O N and then James. And I'm like, we can't escape these terrible men from Bravo.
Mary
Crazy James Kennedy.
Courtney
I love the lace tight dress on her. I thought her body looks so good. And she ended up with kind of an amalgam of the dresses that she was trying on here. She had like a sweetheart dress that was a little bit poofy with lace. I think you're right. I love that we are celebrating Jasmine. We haven't gotten a lot from her over the seasons and it feels like she's always been a side character and they're finally putting an emphasis on her relationship. I am sad that they didn't film her wedding.
Mary
Well, that was their own doing. They did it this summer.
Courtney
I do wish that there were cameras there. Maybe they didn't want it filmed. But now that I'm like. But we're seeing pieces of it.
Mary
Sure. Yeah.
Courtney
Okay. Though after the engagement party, Bravo was sharing photos of them and it did feel like an in memoriam for me.
Mary
See, I didn't get that vibe. I actually cried and I was so excited for them. Like, Lala's like, you know, usually you go to these engagement parties and you're like, well, they're not gonna last. She's like, I feel it for these two. Everyone seems to love them as a couple and are so excited about them. So I got teary eyed during the montage.
Courtney
It was the montage. I don't even think they can find clips from the show because they haven't highlighted them enough that they have to go to, like, their Instagram to pull pics for it. So that's why it was just a memoriam for me. We don't even have clips to show of them. We're literally showing Instagram videos and photos.
Mary
Okay, this is a valid point.
Courtney
Melissa also got so drunk at that
Mary
party when Jasmine had to take the mic from her, she's like. And yeah, happy birthday. Wrong event, babe. This is literally our engagement party. I will be taking the microphone from here.
Courtney
It made me laugh so hard though, because Britney kept saying, let's take shots. Who decided to give Britney the microphone? This was a nice party she threw. We didn't need her on the mic. She's like, jasmine's mom's here looking beautiful. Like the mic. We're blowing out the speakers.
Mary
Good time.
Courtney
At one point, Jason's on the couch and Zach and Benji come over and they're like, we gotta get the third injured person. We gotta find Brittany so we can all sit on the couch together. And then immediately after that scene, Jason's at a table and then Janet pulls up a different table to come sit next to Jesse. It was like the continuity. We know Jason can't move that fast.
Mary
He is on. He's on those crutches.
Courtney
He is on crutches. He's got a messed up patella.
Mary
Okay, let's talk a little bit about Kristen and Luke here. Kristen, she has this water jug that she's been carrying around. I think it's filled with alcohol. Her. Her and Luke are both having the same water bottle. I don't know why that came across my mind.
Courtney
She's just so excited about him being done with a three day bender.
Mary
Okay, maybe I'm wrong. I don't know. For some reason I was like, what's in those?
Courtney
I feel like Nia told her, oh, it's really important to hydrate, you need to carry a hydro jug with you. And she's like, nia said it.
Mary
You, you do. If you're breastfeeding. You are so thirsty the entire time. It's actually insane. But okay. I kind of. I felt bad for Luke in this moment because she's trying to like, pigeonhole him and be like, do you not want to get married? And he's like, I don't want to talk about a wedding right now. We literally hate each other, right? We can't figure this out right now. You want to get married? You want to start planning a wedding. We can't even take care of ourselves right now. We're only taking care of Kya. And that's kind of the problem. So, no, I don't want to plan a wedding. I'm exhausted. I don't even like myself right now.
Marketing Announcer
Okay.
Courtney
I think what she's trying to say, though, is because Jesse, the bearer of the message, said along the lines of we won't get married. That's what he's like telling Kristen. I think Kristen's trying to say, can you just tell me that down the line you want to be married to me? That's throwing me off. What are we doing if we're not end game, right?
Mary
No, that, that is true. But I Think Luke is just like, dude, let's get through this first year and then we'll talk about the wedding again. But, like, right now, we are not in a spot to be planning a wedding. And he does need to give her reassurance.
Courtney
Well, he's like, it feels a lot different than when I propose. Oh, is it? You had a whole baby. I would say that things feel different. I don't think Chris is saying tomorrow. I think Luke's like, well, if this continues, then no, we can't get married.
Mary
I think that is true.
Courtney
I think someone needs to tell Luke and Kristen, like, both of them, you guys are in the throes of parenthood right now. You just had a baby. Your life should be, at this point, 180 degree difference because you are on the other side of things. Sorry, you can't go out that you're mad that Kristen gets mad at you for going out till 3am Sorry, you can't go fishing. Yes, you need to make time here and there, but you also have to recognize that you guys need to be a team.
Mary
I think the thing that could potentially maybe break them up is I think in the back of his mind, compatibility. I think in the back of his mind, he's like, we are going to move. And I, for some reason, I think they want to move to Nashville now. And obviously she's not going to move until this show is done. Which also. What is the lifespan of this show, do you think? Honestly, a couple more years? Maybe?
Courtney
Say two?
Mary
Maybe?
Courtney
Yeah, I. I don't know. I don't. Yeah, I don't know. Because it's not captivating in a vanderpump rules sense. But then there's also people that I want to know what they're doing with their lives. I don't know what the lifespan is, but I think you're right. Is like. Like for Luke, he's like, well, we've talked about all of these other things. I'm like, luke, this show is paying your bills right now, right?
Mary
Well, we still never figured out what was his job before this.
Courtney
Exactly that, though. Exactly that. It's like this job. You moved to la. Kristen got you a job. You were on her podcast. I'm guessing they're not doing that right now. I don't know if that's in existence anymore. But Kristen gave you all these outlets to make money here if you wanted to be with her. And then you are like, well, we need to move, we need to move. Well, what's the game plan? She's going to Go do James May out there. I just. I'm going to be honest, I can't imagine she's selling a lot of James May T shirts.
Marketing Announcer
Okay.
Courtney
And making a big profit. And I don't mean that meanly. I just mean that as an observation. I can't imagine that James May is super profitable.
Mary
I'd agree with that.
Courtney
We had a photo shoot at one point. Was that last season? This season? The season been so long. I have no idea what's this? Our season two. But what's the plan to make money? Because I also don't think that Kristen's really leaned into. Not that she has to, but that she leaned into this mommy blogger, which I think would be the next next step, which is what Nia does a lot. But I feel like her path right now, she's on the GLP1 train. She's lost weight, she's getting back to herself. But I don't think that she's leaned into that mommy blogger, which to me would be the next step. If you're gonna leave your show and
Mary
move out of la, right? Oh, they're not. They're not. But Luke thinks they are.
Courtney
But is he like, yeah, Is there dulu. Sorry I said dumb, but I was actually searching for the word delusional.
Mary
I think he thinks there's light at the end of the tunnel. And he's like, we only have to do this for a couple more years and when Kaya is in kindergarten, we will be in Nashville. I'll be able to fish and hunt and things will be hunky dory.
Courtney
Okay.
Mary
Yeah, that's what I believe.
Courtney
I think you're right. I just don't know how realistic that is right now. Also, do they own their house?
Mary
Are they renting this house? Okay, they rent.
Courtney
Let's take one more break and come back with Lala and Kristin.

What's interesting about Lala is we haven't really gotten a ton about her personal life. She doesn't necessarily have like a storyline except in this episode and when she talks about her sweet baby Lily and how much Lily helped her and has been in every part of her life from Salt Lake City to LA to PJs to helping her get out of bed and have purpose in living and her having to make this really difficult decision to put Lily down. I was like, oh, it hurts my heart.
Courtney
I teared up at that because there's something about putting a dog. I don't even want to get it. I'm gonna start crying about it because I just put, you're horrible.
Mary
It's awful.
Courtney
I've had to do it before. And I just actually thought about it of Kristen coming over there and how Kristen and Lala just a couple of years ago were fighting because Lala didn't think that Kristin backed her up when Gigi said something mean about her on a panel. Do you remember this, Gigi from Shaws and how far that they come that now Lala says, you're a new mom. I want to do this journey with you. And I thought that Lala was being really vulnerable, but I thought lala gave good advice to Kristen.
Mary
Absolutely. And she's also telling Kristen, I cannot believe you're fucking defending Danny and Nia. This is embarrassing, the shit that comes out of that man's mouth. Why didn't you go to your husband? Like, that was an insult to me. And then his wife blocked me like a lineman in a prairie dress. Like, you are on the wrong side of history, babe. And Kristen's just like, yeah, like, I don't see it. I'm just in my mommy bubble. She's like, well, get out of the bubble, bitch, because you are on the wrong side.
Courtney
But that's so not Kristen. And to go back to what you said is like, is Kristen defending them because of the audience? I think the mom thing is the main thing, and I think she idolized their relationship. But I think when Kristin says, I just don't see that. And that's where I think she's in the alliance. That's where I think she's trying to make herself less culpable and will defend them to the end because she wants Janet gone.
Mary
The whole motive is to get Janet out. But you have been saying that idolizing Dani and Nia's relationship for a very long time. And I don't really buy that because I think Kristen is such a strong woman, and I think she's the person that wears the pants in her relationship.
Unknown Male 1
And.
Mary
And Nia feels very submissive to Daniel. So I can't imagine her idolizing that relationship because if she was idolizing that relationship, she would have to, like, quote, unquote, obey Luke, and she would never do that.
Courtney
She's also said that she Loves their relationship and wants to have her relationship be like that as well. So that's where I take it from.
Mary
Oh, it's her own words.
Courtney
It was like an after show or something. But I think that Kristen sees them and is like, look at that. They have the house, the white paper picket fence, the four kids. They love each other. They're a team. That's like, what she craves is what she thinks the perfect relationship is. And so when she sees anything negative, she chooses to believe that that's not true. So when she says, I don't see that, I don't see that, I think maybe she doesn't see certain things. But I'm like, Kristen, you were right there with her last week in Mexico defending her, saying, oh, you don't like that? She knows what she's doing. She's not dumb.
Mary
Oh. I mean, she knows reality TV more than anybody.
Courtney
Yeah, exactly. He raised us. We were raised at the same time. Yeah, I know we say this about the housewives, that they, like, raised us. I won't say that Kristen Doty raised maybe Lindsay Hubbard. I'm gonna pass on the Kristen Doty, though. They're also kind of similar.
Mary
I can see the comparison.
Courtney
The detectives.
Marketing Announcer
Yes.
Mary
Curious girls.
Courtney
Not nosy, but curious. Yeah, exactly. I liked Lala's advice, though. Like, as a mom was when she was saying, it gets easier. I know you want to stay in. And I think she was saying, like, this will also help your relationship, because you mentioned last week, they're on top of each other. They're always together. They need to find moments to be with other people. And I think that's also partially why Kristen gets mad at Luke, is because he does find these pockets. But then instead of going out for a little bit, coming home, he gets wasted, sleeps on the couch, and isn't a team player.
Mary
Yeah, I'd agree with that. He's escaping a bit.
Courtney
Lola, we're going to celebrate seven years of sobriety. That's amazing. It's also crazy because we saw her get sober on Vanderpump Rules.
Mary
I cannot believe that this has been seven years. And there was something about people drinking dirty martinis at her sobriety dinner that fell off. Sure. Out of the one time that we maybe didn't have to drink, a sobriety dinner would be one.
Courtney
You know, I see what you're saying there, and that does make sense. But I also think Lala is someone who encourages, like, have your fun. I don't really care. This restaurant was cracking me up because the menu's like, it's like a refrigerator. You open it, the lights turn on. And you know what? I thought our parents would love a restaurant like this.
Mary
Oh, it'd be so convenient for them to be able to read.
Courtney
My dad always bringing that flashlight out.
Mary
Oh, funny. My parents wouldn't know how to turn on the flashlight.
Courtney
This is, like, why I can't understand. We bring up that Janet likes Lacy. They ended up following each other after, while they were waiting at that airport. They all got along, and then Zach lost a bet, so he had to follow Janet. And then when he got home, he unfollowed her. I was like, that's such petty shit and so stupid.
Mary
Also, that takes so much effort and time to unfollow someone. This was so stupid. But he is. He's afraid of Kristen.
Marketing Announcer
Yep.
Mary
And that's why he did it, because he does not want to cross Kristen. We got, like, the flashback to him trying to explain himself for about 30 minutes. The way that this dinner ended was very abrupt as well. Like, this scene felt incomplete because at the end of the day, I am Team Janet on this one, and I'm Team Lala. Because they're like, kristen, at what point do you let people evolve from their mistakes? And Kristin's like, well, I just don't trust Janet. She likes to hurt people and be mean to people. And Janet is an asshole. And I just. I believe that. And I think you're right. It's because she knows Janet has the files, and she is scared of her because they used to do it together in the past. And Kristin's just like, I want this girl gone. I'm not gonna let this go. And this is gonna be my story, and I'm sticking to it. And I think the audience has completely turned on Kristin at this point. And it's just so funny because they don't know how this is gonna play out in real time. And she thought this was the right move.
Courtney
And it wasn't the point you make earlier where he's like, lala says, at what point do we let people evolve? Kristen always wants to say, I'm not that girl from Vanderpump Rules. I'm not the reason I got fired. I'm not that person. I've changed. And then when it's almost thrown back at her, it's like, well, it's like, rules for thee, not for me again. This is why we love these shows of these hypocrites. But also, Lala says to Kristen, you're saying all these things don't affect you. I'm telling you why I don't like Danny. He did all these things and then you're trying to say, but he didn't do that to me. But now you're also using that card against why you can't move forward with Janet. You have to choose Elaine. And at this point, you can't come to these dinners where we're having a good time, people are getting along, even Janet and Zach, who can coexist and they want to coexist, but he can't because you're here, Kristen. You're putting a damper on the fun. You're a fun sponge.
Mary
It'd be so interesting if, like, Zach flipped and became friends with Janet.
Courtney
It's just at this point, why not? You don't have to be friends. You guys followed each other. Who cares if you're following each other? That's what's so silly. He's like, mute her if you don't want to see her shit.
Mary
It's not that deep. Also, you're all on the same cast. Like you should know what people are promoting. You are doing the same thing together. It makes you look good to follow your castmates. Even if you don't like them.
Courtney
You don't have to tag them in things. I think it's perpetuating pettiness. And at this age. Now, look, will I unfollow someone? Maybe, maybe. But that's why I'm a hypocrite.
Mary
I do sometimes go through our two judgy girls and unfollow people.
Courtney
Well, yeah, but we're just updating some people. We just don't care to see what's
Mary
going on with them yet one hit wonders.
Courtney
Or sometimes it's like, oh, I didn't mean to follow that person. Let me unfollow because I meant to do that for my. Sometimes we treat it as our personal. I guess at the end of the day when it comes to this is like Zach, you having to explain for 30 minutes why you unfollow. Janet says more about you than the fact of just follow her.
Mary
It's more effort to unfollow than just leave it as it is.
Courtney
Emma, explain why you're explaining why you unfollowed her. And also, you know, you want to be friends. I also wonder what it would be like if Neo was at this dinner too.
Mary
Oh, I forgot that she wasn't there. Maybe that's a sign. If Lacey wasn't there.
Courtney
Lacey wasn't there. Are they friends? Are Lacy and Lala friends?
Mary
It seems like all the females of the cast were invited while Melissa wasn't there.
Courtney
Speaking of Lacy, though, I again cannot figure out the Jesse and Lacy relationship. Okay. Because she is telling Kristen and Luke a little funny line. She heard you ask, ask the guy what kind of material his suit is. They answer, and you say, no, no. It feels like husband material. And I said, you don't want to marry this man.
Mary
They fascinate me every single day. I know she's going to be on Kate Casey's podcast, so I will definitely listen to that.
Courtney
Why is she with him? And then she says a line like that, like she's leading him on. He thinks they're going to get married, and he now he wants to sign that paperwork next week with Michelle so that he can propose to Lacey. She's gonna say no.
Mary
I don't think he would put himself in the position to propose to Lacey. Well, first of all, he wouldn't have the funds for a ring. And I think she's probably made it super clear I'm not getting married again. Also, her divorce, I'm sure she's getting paid, like, alimony and such. So she's not gonna marry someone right now. Yeah.
Courtney
Because then that payment would stop, and then she'd have to support Jesse. Tough. I just laugh when I see the two of them together. I'm like, I don't get it. But I get it. But I don't get it.
Mary
I like them together. I think they have mutual respect and good banter and they seem funny together. Just can't pinpoint something about it, though. Yeah. Yeah.
Courtney
I do have to make one comment. And sometimes I just think these editors want to embarrass these people when they had to show the condensation in Britney's clear heels to show that her feet were sweating from the night. Why are you guys doing that?
Mary
I know. That's just mean.
Courtney
And should we not point it out? Probably, but we can't. You guys showed it to us. You wanted us to see that. Also, was the theme like, green and brown?
Mary
Oh, I'm not sure.
Courtney
All the women were wearing some shade of green or brown. But then I was like, are they just kind of those people?
Mary
Well, we know Janet only wears brown.
Courtney
Yeah, exactly. She was wearing brown. Here's a question I have for you based on this. What would you like to see? Because we obviously have, like, a line divided. I think Janet is trying to blur it a little bit more, trying to get people to get along. Like, I wonder if Lala told her, you gotta figure out how to make amends with people, you've got to figure out how to say sorry, move on, whatever it is, without having to do it with Danny and Nia. That I can understand. You can keep your distance, but the people who are on Danny and Nia's side, you need to make headway with them.
Mary
Right. I think at the end of the day, Danny and Nia have to go. And I'm shocked that I've enjoyed the most this season. Tom Schwartz and Lala. And maybe we do need to bring in Shina Shay because I want to see that Lala Sheena Shay makeup. It makes sense to bring them back.
Courtney
I kind of agree with you on Sheena. You guys, when I put these old Vanderpump Rules episodes on. And right now I've put on an episode with Sheena and Rob and that season when they go to Big Bear and then like when she puts that hard hat on at Tom Tom, and she's like, maybe I'll just wear this tonight. And he ignores her to drink a delicious drink that Sandoval has made him. So then she repeats the line again because she thinks maybe he didn't hear me. And he ignores her once more. God, I need it.
Mary
Seven minutes. Seven minutes, guys. It took him seven minutes to hang my tv. Nbd. Okay, I will never forget one of our, like, very first meeting, a quote unquote Bravo lab. Not we, you was me in San Francisco. Rob was here at some hotel. I don't even know what he was promoting, but I got to meet him and I was like, so nervous, like, shaking, like I'm meeting Sheena Shay's 7 Minute Man. It was such an exciting time. It was thrilling. This was probably 2018.
Courtney
I'm pretty sure we still have the highlight. Up, up. It's called Mary meets Rob. If you scroll on our highlights, March 8, 2018. Mary. If you go on our highlights on Instagram, scroll all the way to the right. It's the second to last one. It says Mary meets dot, dot, dot. You can see her interaction with Rob.
