How Trump will Fix the Economy | Dr. Michael Busler
Dec 10, 202400:45:29Tap to summarizeToday, The Two Mikes spoke with Professor Michael Busler.Dr. Busler teaches at Stockton University in New Jersey. While Trump is not yet inaugurated, Dr. Busler said that, from an economic perspective, he is “extraordinarily optimistic for the economy going forward. Dr.Busler said that Trump has correctly targeted energy as a starting point for driving down prices and easing the budget problems of both businesses and consumers. On the business side, energy prices are directly responsible for 8-percent of the GDP, and indirectly contribute 30-percent. Trump, Dr. Busler said, demonstrated he can get the U.S. government out of the way of private enterprise and that his first-term policies provided “opportunities for all”, and ended his term with a national inflation rate of 1.4-percent. Professor Busler noted that the new Trump administration does face an economic challenge in the refusal of the Federal Reserve chief, Jerome Powell, a person, who over his tenure at the FED, made four serious and economy disrupting errors that insured the decline of the economy and also acted against its recovery. There is no easy answer as Powell and the FED are independent of the three branches of the federal government. The answer to the problem, of course, is to get rid of the Fed altogether – which has periodically savaged the U.S. economy since its creation by a congressional law. The Congress can pass a new law that eliminates the law of 1913 which created the FED. Afterward the administration of the U.S. economy would be handed the U.S. Treasury, where it always should have been. Dr. Busler, however, said that it would not be easy to get the Congress to pass a repeal of the 1913 law, as the FED has built its own sector of powerful supporters and lobbyists. Finally, Dr. Basler reminded Americans that the Biden Administration’s electrical-vehicle mandates and subsidies have nearly killed the U.S. industry. It is only the U.S. federal government that would provide enormous subsidies and illegal mandates to try to force the Americans to purchase cars that Americans do not want and cannot afford. Regarding the new Trump Administration. He said he expects to see a revival of the four concepts that made the American economy the envy of the world: (a) individual freedom; (b) individual responsibility; (c) low rates of taxation; and (d) limited government that stays out of the way of private investment and other economic activities. We reminisced a bit about the past, but mostly discussed how lucky we have been able to speak with so many really good and smart guests, men and women who taught both us and our listeners a lot about how the world really works when you talk to genuinely knowledgeable Americans and Foreigners who love the United States and understand the beauty and worth of the U.S. Constitution. We have gone toe-to-toe with a couple of our guests on some issues, but only one has ever refused to return. Almost needless to say we talked to that fellow about the events of January 6th, about which he knows a great deal, and we asked him to come back again, a request to which he agreed, but he never answered another of our emails. This fellow – who advertises himself as “Proud Jew” -- must have gotten a call from the ADL or AIPAC ordering him to stop speaking with the two old guys who -- unlike most recent presidents -- believe America is overwhelmingly more important than Israel. You can take it to the bank, that over our 500 podcasts we have encountered a goodly number of this guy’s brethren who will damn and condemn us but will not agree to discuss their gripes on a podcast. Here is a little part on his exceptionally insightful breakdown of current events: On January 10, 2023, the U.S. House of Representatives voted 365 to 65 in favor of a resolution to establish the Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party, chaired by Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI). The following information is worthy of further investigation by that committee. SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus responsible for the COVID-19 disease and pandemic, possesses a number of unusual structural features, which make a natural origin highly unlikely. The spike protein, which extends outward from the body of the virus and modulates the binding and fusion of the virus with the human cells, has components that appear to be unique to SARS-CoV-2 and not a consequence of a normal evolutionary process. Foremost among the unusual genetic features of the virus is a small structure called a furin polybasic cleavage site, which can be considered one of several pieces of “smoking gun” evidence for the laboratory origin of SARS-CoV-2. Already in 2005, subsequent to the first 2002-2004 SARS pandemic (SARS-CoV-1), furin and other protein cleavage processes were known to increase both the transmissibility and pathogenicity of coronaviruses. The presence of the furin polybasic cleavage site may enhance the ability for SARS-CoV-2 to infect multiple human organ systems.
