Wells Adams
welcome in all you faithfuls and traders for the last episode of By Order of the Faithfuls. We are recapping episode 11 from season four and I guess episode 12, the reunion. I'm Wells Adams alongside Dolores Catania. Dolores, I know that everyone's kind of like listening to this, but if they are watching the social clips, I feel like you're in a new location every time we do this show. Where are you today?
Dolores Catania
My life is so crazy. Well, I can't take it. Bring me back to the castle and stick me in a room and forget about me. No, now I'm in my dining room. But I've been this week. I was stuck in Florida with the storm. I had to drive to a different location. It was like a four hour drive to get to another place from Miami to Sarasota. It was crazy. So I've been in the past week, three different hotels, and I even lost my wallet.
Wells Adams
Wells, you did.
Dolores Catania
And the Uber driver gave it back to me. So I got onto the Lyft app. I called the bank first to get rid of my bit to, like, my business account. And they were like, can't do nothing now. Sorry. I go, but somebody could write a check for a lot of money from my business account. And he's like, sorry, yeah, we can't do anything till tomorrow and tomorrow's Saturday, so we probably can't do anything then either. You have to wait till Monday. Whoa. I almost had a stroke. And then the cash, like, because Frankie's getting married, like, I'm putting cash away. Like, I'll, like, put it in this little envelope every once in a while to give it to him the day of his wedding so he could pay people and. And stuff just like, petty cash for him.
Wells Adams
You are the most Italian person I know. I. Not since, like, the Godfather have I seen, like, you know, last summer I'm
Dolores Catania
putting cash in an envelope away. It was like a little Louis Vuitton wallet.
Wells Adams
Anyway, something for you and for your troubles. Here you go.
Dolores Catania
Yeah, yeah, that's like, here, Frankie, pay them. Pay to tip. Pay the tip. Meanwhile, they don't even tip in Europe, so. So it's like that. So finally I got a call after my stroke and running around the lobby of the hotel throwing stuff out. It's the addition, no less. And I got a call back from the Uber driver saying, you just happen to get lucky today. Yeah, you got the right guy. But I was in three different Ubers.
Wells Adams
Oh, my God. Do you not have one of those, like, a apple tag or a neuro tag in your wallet? Oh, I'm glad you got your money back. Not everyone gets their money. All Mora. Let's get through into episode 11.
Dolores Catania
Talk about good deeds. Okay.
Wells Adams
I know.
Dolores Catania
So that happened to me.
Wells Adams
Mm.
Dolores Catania
And that person was rewarded, but Maura was not rewarded. Not yet, anyway. But we'll get to that. But this was Wells. What do you think?
Wells Adams
Like, I want to say a couple things. I want to pat myself on the back. I said in the beginning, I'm not seeing a lot of Johnny Weir. I feel like he's a big star. I'm not seeing a lot of Mark. I feel like he's going far. More is not saying much. She's going far. I was right about all those people getting to the end.
Dolores Catania
You predicted it. I did. The T. That was amazing.
Wells Adams
But what I didn't predict was what happened at the end. And we'll get there. But what a fun season. You know, we both were on season three. We've obviously watched all the seasons prior. Where do you rank this one?
Dolores Catania
Oh, it's. It gets better every year. It's the new. It's the new number one. I mean, I liked our season better. Mm. For the most part. But. But this was really good. I mean, this was the Traders. We had the Faithful season. This was the traitor season.
Wells Adams
Yeah. Absolutely. Yeah. I. You know, our season was one for the good guys. This one was one for the bad guys.
Dolores Catania
Exactly. That's what I'm saying. Yeah. So one, I'm. I wouldn't say one's better than the other, but it's just two different things that were both amazing.
Wells Adams
Mark gets murdered at the open of the episode. Were you surprised that's who Eric and Rob chose, or do you think that was the smart move?
Dolores Catania
So, because I'm a hopeless romantic, I wanted him to. To murder her. Murder Maura. I wanted Rob to murder Maura because I wanted to save her from what happened to her at the end.
Wells Adams
Yeah.
Dolores Catania
I wanted him to not use her right to the end to cut her some grace. And she was ready to go. When she was standing there and they were standing in front of that, she's like, it's me. I'm going. I'm going, I'm going. She would have been okay. I think that the finale is not the end for her. I think she's got some. She's got a. She's got to Work through some trust things now. And I think she was really hurt by this.
Wells Adams
Yeah, I'd say so. Listen, for all of Rob's faults, he is a very good chess player, and he was thinking down the line of my last piece, even calls her his queen. Like, my last piece is using Maura at the end of this. And he played it perfectly. But I do, I do hurt for Maura. I feel like I've. And she's so beautiful. So it's like, we're a weird thing to say, but, like, for whatever reason, she has been kind of like, dicked over on every TV show she's been on, it seems like, and it just happens again. And I don't know, like, at some point I'm, I'm rooting for her to have a win on one of these shows.
Dolores Catania
Well, it's not just on tv. It's in life also. But I can speak to a girl who's been through it.
Wells Adams
Yeah.
Dolores Catania
And Maura, eventually you'll get it.
Wells Adams
Yeah.
Dolores Catania
You're going to get it and you're going to say no. You're going to see the signs and you're going to run and you're going to see the red flags, and you're not going to play into just listening to what somebody tells you. Yeah, she, she fell into the charisma of it all. And by now, after going through what we know about her life and what we don't know about her life, you know, from the things we know about her and what she's kind of been through, you have to say, yeah. Learn to look past what's, like, the face value of it. But this is girl talk for me and her, if she wants it.
Wells Adams
Yeah. I mean, like, there's a part of me that's like, I'm so sad for her because I think one of her great qualities is her trust in people. And I feel like that's now going to be turned. But then there's also the, like, you know, fool me once, shame on you.
Dolores Catania
Fool me twice, shame on me. Yes.
Wells Adams
And so I, I, it's somewhere in between there, you know, the fables could
Dolores Catania
have won had she went with Johnny and Tara.
Wells Adams
Yeah. And that's. I was going to talk about, like, who was fooled for a very long time was Johnny and Tara. But they finally figured it out at the end.
Dolores Catania
Was it, they could have made it,
Wells Adams
Was it too late for them?
Dolores Catania
It wasn't too late. It was in time, had they had the right people to back them. But you see, Rob was always 20, was already 20 steps ahead with that one person he kept close to him. That was the deciding vote.
Wells Adams
Yeah. Well, and Eric also was his sacrificial lamb. I feel like I always felt that he was going to do what he did to Eric.
Dolores Catania
I always knew he was going to stab Eric in the back in the last minute. I knew it. I knew it. I knew it. And why Eric was surprised, I don't know. And to be honest with you, Rob played traitor from day one. Eric came in in the end. He didn't deserve really the win. He didn't deserve to have that split with him. I don't think he did. Anyway, as the Traders.
Wells Adams
Now it's in. It's interesting to see who Rob keeps around there at the end. Right. So he's got Eric, who is new to being a traitor and very naive and very sweet.
Dolores Catania
And you have Mora, and that's somebody he could over. He couldn't have got over on Mark like that.
Wells Adams
Absolutely not. And then he keeps more around, who is very naive and very sweet and very trusting. And then he also has Tara around, who is been wrong so much. Very naive, very sweet. And. Yeah, it was almost like he kept a bunch of. I don't want to, like, disparage them because they got much farther than I did, but, like, weak links left. And it made it easy for him to poach people off.
Dolores Catania
Well, he. He. Not one person standing at the end with him was the star players. The last one to go who kind of really got the game was Mark.
Wells Adams
Yeah.
Dolores Catania
And he murdered him in the smartest way. Like, he's like, this is the last time I'm getting to do this. He's going, you know.
Wells Adams
Yeah. Are you surprised that Tara's conversation with Maura didn't hold more weight with Maura? Because Maura also seems like she's kind of buying into it. And Is she playing a part here, or were you surprised? I.
Dolores Catania
To me, I don't feel bad for Maura when you say that.
Wells Adams
I kind of agree with that. Like, as much sympathy as I have for. At the, like, that final scene. Tara gave her so many opportunities to make the right call.
Dolores Catania
You know, I. I had that same conversation with Brittany, who was the traitor in the end, who was turning me on, trying to turn me on. Dylan. And I went to Dylan and I said. And I didn't trust that Brittany wasn't a traitor because of her and Danielle going at it the night before.
Wells Adams
Yeah.
Dolores Catania
So I thought she was a traitor, but she was trying to really convince me to turn on Dylan. And I went to Dylan and I went in his face, and I said, if I find out you're a traitor, I'm gonna kill you. I'm gonna drive to California in my truck, and I'm going to find you and I'm gonna kill you. And I was still like, you know what? You have to come to terms with your last. Your decision in the end, you know, and you really just don't know until the end. You're never 100% sure when you're. If you make it to that fire pit, you still don't know who you're standing across from. One of the three people that I ended with could have been a traitor. I really didn't think so. And I was lucky. We were all lucky. But Maura had more than enough chances to get out of that.
Wells Adams
Yeah. And I've said it before. It's been clipped and used on other shows, but she was just extremely diplomatized. And it just is what it is. And I feel. I do feel for her. You know, there are a couple things that we can rely on in life. Right. You have death, taxes, and the final mission will include a helicopter on Traders.
Dolores Catania
Good one. Would you have jumped in the water? I know you would have.
Wells Adams
I would have, yeah. I would have been like, I'm doing this.
Dolores Catania
I would have liked to seen Maura jump in the water and do something more than she did all season.
Sponsor/Announcer
Yeah.
Dolores Catania
But she couldn't screw it over. I know. It's funny. I wonder why Paul doesn't know how to swim either, really. It's not a really beachy place where they come from.
Wells Adams
Where is Paul from?
Dolores Catania
It's never. They're both from Ireland. He's from Dublin, but it's an island. Yeah, but the water's cold and the sun is never out. It's rained in Ireland right now for 60 days straight.
Wells Adams
Oh, wow.
Dolores Catania
Well, I mean, I've been to the beach in Ireland. I wouldn't be going anywhere.
Wells Adams
Not going. That water. Yeah.
Dolores Catania
No. And the sand is dark. Looks like mud.
Wells Adams
It's mud. I know you're not. You're not wrong about that. Would you. What would you have done? Would you have stayed on the dock or would you have gone in the helicopter?
Dolores Catania
Nobody has built in pools over there. Sorry. Go ahead.
Wells Adams
What would you have done? Would you go on the helicopter or did you stay on the dock or, like, in the boat?
Dolores Catania
I would have been on the helicopter and I would have jumped in the water, and I hate being cold, and I hate cold water, but I would have. Did that. Because that's an experience.
Wells Adams
Yeah, I agree. I will say this, though. You can tell how cold it is just by Johnny's shaking. Like a Chihuahua freeze.
Dolores Catania
It was unseasonably cold when we were there, too.
Wells Adams
Yeah.
Dolores Catania
And it was raining and it was cold and. Yeah.
Wells Adams
Yeah. To be honest with you, probably getting in the water warmed Rob up more than Johnny. Just being wet because a wetsuit traps all that water in there and then your body, he heats it up and then you feel fine. But because it looked like that Rob was much more comfortable at the end of it than Johnny was.
Dolores Catania
Well, Rob's like a, you know, a knock around guy. He's like hunting snakes. He can't be there shivering. He's gonna be like, I'm good. I'm standing. He's standing there with one shoe on. He had to be cold. I don't care. But he's gonna take it like a Alabama man.
Wells Adams
$20,000 extra for Rob jumping in there.
Dolores Catania
It's going to him. So.
Wells Adams
Yeah, everything he did was flawless. I've got to say.
Dolores Catania
No one has ever. I. I don't think. I think. I always say, like, this is going to be hard to beat.
Wells Adams
Yeah.
Dolores Catania
I don't know that anybody else is going to play as smoothly as him. And if you think about it, a big part of the way Rob handled everything was he never lost his cool.
Wells Adams
Yeah.
Dolores Catania
Never. He never got emotional because when you get emotional, you. You lose. Emotions don't travel in rational channels. So he never got himself emotionally into the game. Like when we were talking yesterday about Survivor, he said, you cannot. You're not gonna win if you get emotional and start crying.

Back at the Castle, Maura is playing both sides. She tells Tara that she'll vote with her or then assures Rob and Eric she's on their side at the final roundtable. It's a pretty interesting vote. Eric and Rob vote for Johnny. Johnny and Tara vote for Eric. Mora votes for Johnny. No one votes for Rob, which is surprising. But unfortunately for Johnny, it is his last round table. And you know what sucks is that when you get to this point of the game, you don't get to say if you're a faithful or a trader.
Dolores Catania
We have that. We had that because then and that makes sense for them to do because then you're going in front of the buyer pit and you're you're saying was There one? Were there two traders left? Was there only one? It just makes the game more intense. They should never, ever change that, which I don't think that they will.
Wells Adams
I know. I just, I. I could see where the faithful faithfuls were coming from. Well, it was really only Maura, I guess, but I could have seen Johnny being a traitor. I definitely could have seen that.
Dolores Catania
Oh, me too. I love their relationship, though. I have to say, I grew a love for their relationship separate from even the gang. Oh, yeah, I did. I wasn't sure that I liked them at first. I wouldn't have trusted them because they hid their friendship at first. You know, trust is something you earn and the fact that they lied right out of the box or they were sneaky about something and weren't transparent about something would have always bothered me about them.
Wells Adams
Yeah.
Dolores Catania
I wouldn't have been able to let that go because there's only so much you could hang on to in this game.
Wells Adams
Yeah. Understood why they played it the way they did. It just. It just ended up being good fuel for Rob to, you know, enact suspicion on them. So after the roundtable, they obviously don't know if they were successful. Right. Well, I guess Robin, Eric do. But Rob tells Maura that they need to get Tara out next. And then Maura also wants to go for Eric, so then they pinky swear, which is going to be something that bites.
Dolores Catania
And by the way, Maura.
Wells Adams
Yeah.
Dolores Catania
So did she want to get Eric out because she thought he was a traitor? Because then she should have voted for him at the roundtable. Did she get him out because she didn't want to split the money with him?
Wells Adams
I think. Can two things be true at the same time, Maura?
Dolores Catania
Yeah. Think about this. You could have voted for him at the roundtable and been a girls girl and stuck with Tara.
Wells Adams
Yeah.
Dolores Catania
But you didn't really think he was a traitor. You thought Johnny was a traitor. So now you're saying pinky promise. We're sticking together. We're going to get him out at the end and me and you run off with the money. So maybe a little bit you deserved it. A little bit.
Wells Adams
I don't disagree with you. In that moment in the kitchen when they make that pinky promise, they both think it's just going to be us at the end. We've made this plan and we're both going to win the money.
Dolores Catania
That's what they did to Mercedes the season. Season two.
Wells Adams
Yeah.
Dolores Catania
And that was a shitty move.
Wells Adams
I agree. Yeah. Because she doesn't. She. She doesn't believe Tara. In the beginning, she votes for Johnny, but then she believes Tara after they get rid of Johnny. I mean, I guess the argument is, is that, well, I thought the last two traitors were Johnny and Eric, but that has never been the dialogue. This is a good fire of truth. They have to, you know, decide if they want to end the game or continue to banish. For the first round, all four players want to banish.
Dolores Catania
When Rob threw red.
Wells Adams
Yeah.
Dolores Catania
Eric was like. It was so much like the scorpion and the toad story.
Wells Adams
Oh, yeah.
Dolores Catania
When the. When the scorpion promises him toad, get me across the river. And halfway through, he, like, stabs him in the back and the toad is like, oh, my God. Why'd you do that?
Wells Adams
Yeah, because I'm a.
Dolores Catania
Because I can't help myself. I'm a scorpion.
Wells Adams
Yeah, you're a scorpion.
Dolores Catania
So Rob's a snake. Yeah, Rob's a snake.
Wells Adams
There is a way that they could have gotten a traitor's owl. So the first. The first vote, if they had. If they had gotten Rob out using, let's say, Maura, Tara, and Eric's vote, that would have gotten Rob out, and then they could have voted again with three people and gotten Eric out and then have been the last two standing. There's the last two ladies. But that's obviously not. What went down, is they. They banished Tara. I just can't believe of all the mistakes of that Maura made in this, I'm amazed that she believed that Tara was a traitor.
Dolores Catania
She didn't. She just wanted. She just wanted to win with Rob.
Wells Adams
Yeah.
Dolores Catania
That was it.
Wells Adams
Yeah, you're right. You're 100% right. With.
Dolores Catania
She trusted Tara. She never thought Tara was. Was a traitor, but she was. She was playing. Playing mean in the end, and it backfired on her.
Wells Adams
It did.
Dolores Catania
So, you know, Rob played, like, an amazing psychological game, for sure.
Wells Adams
They end up voting Eric out. Eric is completely just, like, heartbroken about the whole thing.
Dolores Catania
But what if she said. And, you know, there was something that Eric said to Mora? Did you catch it?
Wells Adams
Yeah. Be careful who you trust. Right. So.
Dolores Catania
Yes. Yes. Yes. He kind of, like, gave her a hint. He wasn't mad at her.
Wells Adams
No. And. But it's so frustrating because he says it to her.
Dolores Catania
It's too late.
Wells Adams
You really believe that Eric's a traitor and he says that be careful who you trust. That means he knows something. And still it seems to fly over Morris head.
Dolores Catania
Well, that doesn't surprise me. But here Morris sits there and goes, something doesn't feel right here yeah. Oh, God. More.
Wells Adams
Finally, Maura reveals to Rob that she is a faithful. Obviously. And. And then Rob has to tell her that he's a traitor. Maura. I mean, her jaw drops to the floor.
Dolores Catania
She was waiting for him to say, just kidding.
Wells Adams
Yep.
Dolores Catania
Jk. Just kidding. Yeah. Oh, my God. Do I have a pimple? Oh, no, no.
Wells Adams
Skin is flawless and perfect.
Dolores Catania
Thank you. Thank you. You're so good. You're so sweet. Oh, my God. I would have followed you to the end. You told me my skin's flawless. Sometimes you tell me my hair looks good, and that's all. That's all it takes. And I'm 55, and I've been screwed over 9 million times in my life, and I'd still go for a kind word. I get it, Maura.
Wells Adams
You'd have been my Mora. Mora.
Dolores Catania
I'm not gonna be a hypocrite, sweetheart. I take it back. I get it. I get it.
Wells Adams
Maura, Rob are the winner of season four of Traitors, and I just got to. I got to give you a golf clap, my guy.
Dolores Catania
I do. I do. You know, he's a really nice guy in true life. His sister has special needs, and he takes care of her.
Wells Adams
Really?
Dolores Catania
Yeah. He just wants a simple life. He wants to get married. He doesn't want to screw around. Well, Rob, I hate to tell you, you just want traders. You're a heartthrob right now.
Wells Adams
Yeah.
Dolores Catania
You're going to make money. You got it. Your. Your simple life is going to be put on hold for a while because you have to make as much money as you can while you can. And if it's for your family, then that'll be your sacrifices. Not having that simple life you're looking for.
Wells Adams
Yeah. Make hay while the sun is shining. I didn't. You know, I didn't know that about his. His sister, and I kind of applaud him. He never used that as a storyline. Like, I really want to win because, like, try to pull at heartstrings with that story, but that's kind of. Now, I feel good that he won
Dolores Catania
all that money because I feel so good about it. He said he wants to help his family. I don't. You know, I think he comes from very humble means.
Wells Adams
Good for him. And well done, Rob. You. I think we'll see what happens going forward. But no trader has played as perfect of a game as you. Yes, you left some bodies lying in ditches behind you, but high body count. High body count. But he. You know, it's hard for a trader to last the entire time. He did that, you know, and he got rid of some big name traders. I mean, getting rid of, getting rid of Lisa Candice. Like, holy crap, you played an amazing game. But I do have a critique for him. Okay.
Dolores Catania
Or, oh, I'd love to hear this because I don't have one.
Wells Adams
You know, we go to this reunion, which is the reunion suck. Sorry. They're never that fun to watch. They're always like, you think there's going to be more, but there's. It's not.
Dolores Catania
We're used to, we're used to reality TV reunions.
Wells Adams
Yes.
Dolores Catania
Come on.
Wells Adams
Vanderpump reunions, housewives reunions.
Dolores Catania
I mean, it's a bloodbath.
Wells Adams
Yeah. And this is just not the case. But, you know, obviously, you know, Andy wants to needle in the question of, like, you know, it seemed like there was a showmance going on. Rob, between you and Maura. Like, what was going on? They kind of tiptoed around it. Obviously, Rob is now dating somebody. But Rob is still doing the thing that he was doing on the show. I feel like he's still like, well, maybe you never know to tomorrow. And it's like, stop. I, I, I, you go, you go,
Dolores Catania
Wells, you're a, you're a gentleman. You are a good guy.
Wells Adams
It's like you, you, you manipulated this poor girl all the way to the end. You knew what you were doing. You knew you were using.
Dolores Catania
You're so right, you know?
Wells Adams
And so, so then once you won, you need to be like, stop. But he goes on this freaking reunion show having a girlfriend. I feel bad for the girl being back home because it was like this thing of like, well, maybe you never know. Who knows what's going to, like, I'm going to buy you a Birkin bag. All this stuff. And I wanted to be like, rob, you got to stop.
Dolores Catania
Do you think he's going to buy her? I think he does deserve. She does deserve the bag.
Wells Adams
Absolutely. I wish that he at the end was like, you know what? I'm splitting this with you. Like, I wish he had. Like, I'm a trader, but I'm splitting this with you. Like, that would have made me feel
Dolores Catania
better because she got him to the end. She helped him win 100%.
Wells Adams
I mean, Maura is going to be hosting the next, like, reality TV dating show or she'll end up hosting Love
Dolores Catania
island, you know, make some money. She's going to do just fine.
Wells Adams
Just fine.
Dolores Catania
What's the. What would be her cut? Let's talk about this after taxes, you're really. You're. You're a numbers guy, Wells. I know you.
Wells Adams
I heard you before. I think it was 208, 500, right? So let's just say. Let's just say it was 200 to make math easy. So if you split it between the two of them, that's a hundred. And then let's say you got one. You have to pay Scottish taxes.
Dolores Catania
You got to pay two taxes.
Wells Adams
You got to pay two taxes. So let's say. Let's say that walking away with 60,
Dolores Catania
maybe she's in the game. She's making the money. This guy's just starting. He needs the money. He wants to take care of his family. You could buy your own bag more. Or you could buy. You could find 500,000 guys lining up to buy your bag because you're hot as hell.
Wells Adams
Yeah, like, he.
Dolores Catania
It was funny because he's like, how much does that cost? Yeah, startup is 10.
Wells Adams
Yeah, those are expensive bags. Trust me.
Dolores Catania
Let him. Let him keep his money, Maura. You'll be fine.
Wells Adams
Well, I did see that Rob and Lisa did, like, a Sonic commercial, and I'm sitting there being like, well, that's six figures for both of you guys. You know, like, they're gonna make more money off the show than they did on apparently more.
Dolores Catania
Just got a l' Oreal commercial.
Wells Adams
Yeah, she's a supermodel. What are we talking about here? She's amazingly beautiful.

We heard all these rumblings of like, what this reunion was going to be and that Colton had stormed off and Lisa went in on after that didn't happen. It was such a nothing burger and I'm annoyed by it.
Dolores Catania
You know, not Michael Rappaport bringing up the fact that I told him shut the up before he goes, oh yeah,
Wells Adams
clip it, clip it, clip it.
Dolores Catania
But what about Lisa did say, oh, keeping me held hostage. That was.
Wells Adams
Yeah, what does that mean?
Dolores Catania
I was kind of like, yeah, what do you think?
Wells Adams
I I mean, I listen, I know Colton. I'm friends with him. I'm. I've been critical of this whole situation of him. I thought this was a really good opportunity to be contrite, you know, to, to kind of like try to make it right with the audience. Right?
Dolores Catania
He did. I mean, I think he explained well himself as well as he could, but
Wells Adams
he also victimized himself a little bit. You know, I was going through a really hard time and you know, and all the in this stuff and. But there was also someone else that Was involved in that. That I think was hurt. Yeah, it was very hurt and scared and all that kind of stuff. And I. I wish that he had done a little bit more because I think that the audience wants to. From what?
Dolores Catania
I want remorse.
Wells Adams
They want remorse, but they also want to forgive you. They. They want you to admit that you were wrong. I screwed up. I never have had a platform to really be like you didn't.
Dolores Catania
We just wanted to hear you say that. Not that that would help. Maybe with some people. It doesn't matter. Time's done. You. You lost your chance to do it. That was your chance.
Wells Adams
I wonder if they edited some of it out. I'm not really sure. I think something.
Dolores Catania
No, we don't know.
Wells Adams
And it just didn't look like it.
Dolores Catania
Maybe the storm out was edited out.
Wells Adams
Yeah. Who knows? I mean, we've done that reunion together, and it is a long shoot day, and you kind of. You do break things up into like, it's time for lunch, you know, And I don't know if that's what happened. And maybe they broke for lunch and he got up and left.
Dolores Catania
Could have been. Could have been. Yeah.
Wells Adams
Yeah. I'm not sure. Candace claims Rob and Colton. Robin Colton cheated in the game, but both guys deny it. Who do you believe?
Dolores Catania
Well, can I ask you something? If Colton said to him. And this was what I was confused about, if. Why did Colton say that to Candace in the first place? I believe he said that to her. Yeah, but. But if Colton said Candace is a traitor, Rob's allowed to go along with that 100%. So what's wrong with it? I'm confused.
Wells Adams
Yeah. I think that the implication is. Is that it was a traitor. Like he was telling Colton. Having Colton know that he's a traitor, that Candace is a traitor. And I think that once you say well and. And Colton says it, he goes, well, I thought that Rob was a faithful. So Rob can say whatever he wants
Dolores Catania
to try to other traders, put other traders up all the time for. So where is this wrong? Where is this wrong? I don't know. He. Rob. No way was Rob gonna do that. Well, it fell flat. Nobody got in trouble.
Wells Adams
Yeah.
Dolores Catania
Thank God. You know? Yeah.
Wells Adams
I mean, you know, there are standards and practices, people watching everything to make
Dolores Catania
sure that the other thing too. You're right. That would have never.
Wells Adams
No, they'd probably shut the game down. They'd probably started it over. I don't know what would have happened.
Dolores Catania
One day, Wells knock on what? It didn't happen with us. Somebody's gonna up like that.
Wells Adams
Oh, yeah.
Dolores Catania
Somebody is gonna think they're cute and smart, and you are not getting over that. On. On. Don't even try it. You will get sent home. There will be a war, because they are on top of you, and they are watching you like a Hulk. You're not getting away with anything, and you're not smarter than them. Yeah, but we. You know what? We didn't talk about how when. When Maura found out, she, like, couldn't even stand up. She, like, leaned over and they panned over to Alan's face, and he was like. He was, like. Kind of felt so bad for her until Rob kind of. Until she started to speak and Rob started to speak, and then we were, like. We were all holding our breath from the pain of it. And then once they started to have this dialogue with each other, you were kind of like, okay, she's gonna live. Like, it almost like, thought you were gonna. She was gonna die from a broken heart right there.
Wells Adams
I mean, I think. I think her heart did break that in that moment. But, yeah, you could definitely see on Alan's face of like, oh, I don't know. All right, well, that. I mean, that's season four. A traitor's final thoughts for you, Dolores.
Dolores Catania
I think it was great. I think Rob played an amazing psychological game. I think Maura is being called, like, on the Internet. She's being called stupid and this and that. But listen, I get it. I get it. I get. I think, as a woman, we can all figure out why you followed him till the end. It's okay. You want to be the first and, honey, you're not going to be the last to be following him to the end of something.
Wells Adams
That's very, very true. Hold your head up high, Mora. You made it all the way to the end, which is not easy coming from a guy who was out after episode two. So. I'm proud of you. I. I got a feeling we'll be seeing more of Maura on our TV screens. As with Rob looking forward, it seems like the next Traders that we're going to get is going to be civilians, you know, people who aren't on reality tv. Are you excited about that, or do you want it to stay with the, like, the reality TV stars?
Dolores Catania
I don't. I don't mind having a break from the reality TV stuff. You know, a lot of people online today are upset the reunion and saying it was more housewife based than it was strategy based and game based because housewives are more interesting. Sorry. But, yeah, very true. You Know, the civilians game should be very interesting, too. But at the end of the day, we are really all just human.
Wells Adams
Yeah.
Dolores Catania
And we all act the same. Just take away our title of what we do for a living, and how are we any different? Because we know where to stand in front of a camera or what angle we want to get. Outside of that, how are we any different?
Wells Adams
I'm excited for it because you, as a civilian, aren't known to the other people playing the game, so you can really be whoever you want to be. That's one of the reasons why I really want more actors to be on the show. I've been talking about this a lot. Like, someone asked me, who do you want to have on the show? Who would be great? And I was like, I wish there was big actors. Not that Lisa isn't like a big actress and. And Steven as well, but I was like, Christian Bale. Right. Like. Or, you know, Daniel Day Lewis. These guys that, like, you don't really know who they are. You just know that they become these method actors on these movies that you watch, but you don't know how they are in real life. And someone who's a really good actor come in there and be like, I'm gonna play this character this entire time, which has nothing to do with me. But you guys don't know it, which is what the civilians, quote, unquote, can do, because no one knows who they are, what they. What they're about. They don't know what their real job
Dolores Catania
know anything about what they did in their life. So this. I did binge a lot. A lot of the. When I was asked to be on Traders and I was going there, as I was packing, I was watching all these shows on the way there on the plane, watching all these shows. And then two days before, there was a player, and I forget what season it was, it was a civilian player who lied about what she did for a living.
Wells Adams
Yeah, I remember that.
Dolores Catania
Remember that. Was she an actress or she was something in the business, but said she was instead a banker or some other type of.
Wells Adams
I totally remember that. I can't remember exactly what it was. I'm not sure if she said she was in the music industry. I don't remember, but I. I know you're.
Dolores Catania
She lied. She lied about what she was because she didn't want to be judged by any means. Which. Which, to your point, is good.
Wells Adams
Yeah.
Dolores Catania
Makes the game a little bit harder, doesn't it?
Wells Adams
It's gonna be fun. And one of these seasons, they're gonna Do I? I gotta believe. I've also suggested this, but, like, I gotta believe that one season they're not gonna let us in on who the traders are that we're just not going to see. Or like, you'll see them in the turret, but they'll blur their faces and their voices. I think that would be fun as an audience. I also wish that they would film. Would be an easy cut. You could film the show and put out a version that where you. Where you know who the traders are. Or you could put out a version where you don't know who the traders are and it's the same show except they're just like cutting around, going to the turret and you could decide on Peacock. Okay. I want to watch the, I don't know, version. I think that would be really fun.
Dolores Catania
That's pretty cool. That's really great. You should patent that.
Wells Adams
I really should be a producer on this show, I think.
Dolores Catania
I think you'd be a great producer on this show.
Wells Adams
Dolores. I love you so much.
Dolores Catania
So fun. What a journey. Yes.
Wells Adams
Yeah. And what a joy to get to look at your beautiful face once a week. I'm actually very sad that this is over because I've had so much fun hanging out with you and Tamara. But there is good news. Maybe people don't realize this, but we are now. Dolores and I are recapping episodes of Survivor season 50. Yes.
Dolores Catania
Yes. And we're gonna have people on. It's gonna be so exciting.
Wells Adams
And if you haven't want listened to our first episode, which is now turning into two episodes because it was so juicy and so good, we have the one, the only, the first winner of Survivor Season 1, Richard Hatch on who's got a lot of opinions about a lot of things that are happening this season. So please start watching Survivor with us and we'll be recapping that every single week. Dolores.
Dolores Catania
Guys, you can learn a lot from Richard Hatch. I just want to tell you, he's so brilliant and so smart. Imagine, just imagine being the first winner of 50 seasons.
Wells Adams
Yeah.
Dolores Catania
Of a whole phenomenon that. That began with him winning, not knowing the game, being the first to win. And. And he, you know, he's a. He's great. He's brilliant, brilliant guy. So tune into that and you're going to get hooked.
Wells Adams
Absolutely. I, you know, I. I watched that first season, I watched the first couple, then I kind of fell off. But getting to watch it again, I was like, oh, this is very, very fun. And, you know, you have a lot of big names there. Obviously being season 50. Mike White from White Lotus is back and he obviously got a trainer for this because he's got a six pack and six pack he's going to do well.
Dolores Catania
But he didn't get a tan. I hope that he 10 by the end because he's translucent. I mean, his abs would show up so much better if he was tan.
Wells Adams
Yeah. Let's oil up Mike White. All right.
Dolores Catania
We need a spray tan. Oil them up. Otherwise, like, yeah, he. That body deserves a tan.
Wells Adams
Yes. If you're not following us on social media, please do over on Instagram at By Order of the Faithfuls. Make sure you subscribe and yeah, and we'll be back again with some more recaps of Survivor. We might be recapping other reality TV shows as well. Dolores, I love you. Have an amazing.
Dolores Catania
Thank you. Thanks for a great season. Wells. Yeah, I mean, it was your, your point of view on everything was so good and, and I think you're just great. So thank you.
Wells Adams
I love you.
Dolores Catania
Thank you for it all. Love you. Bye.
Wells Adams
And thank you to all listeners out there. We'll see you very soon.
