Tamara Judge
Hi guys. Welcome to another episode of two T's in a Pod with myself, Teddy Mellencamp and Tamara Judge. Today we are going to be talking about. Season 10 episod Summer House hi, Ted. Hi.
Teddy Mellencamp
Good morning. Are you okay? No. What's going on?
Tamara Judge (emotional segments)
I just feel really sad and lonely. Don't.
Teddy Mellencamp
I'm so sorry.
Tamara Judge (emotional segments)
It's been a year since all of this happened, and I know I should be so grateful, but I miss. I don't even have my memories from before. Remember the year and a half before it's gonna take.
Teddy Mellencamp
I know your family's all there for you. Do you mean you miss having your marriage?
Tamara Judge (emotional segments)
I miss just having, like, a family unit and doing things together.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah. Yes, I know. I know. And I think that now it's all kind of hitting you and the time you need that closeness and somebody there laying next to you. It's been my entire. This entire time that you've been going through this. I've been saying it, like, hate that you're really doing it alone. You don't have that partner right next to you, and it's going to make it a hundred times worse going through. And it just breaks my heart. And I hate to see you like this. And I w. I thought. You know what I thought about the other day, because, you know, this is your one year. This week is your one year anniversary. You know, we came home from super bowl weekend in New Orleans. Monday you went to the hospital. Tuesday you had your surgery. And I just. I thought, like, if I didn't have my family here, I would go move right over next to you so I could be with you every single day.
Tamara Judge (emotional segments)
I mean, it's. It's so bizarre, like, because I think it happened so quick, and I know that I don't. I don't want to talk about this over and over again, but, like, you
Teddy Mellencamp
can talk about it all you want if it makes you feel better.
Tamara Judge (emotional segments)
But I think I just. Because I didn't expect it to happen like it was. You know, I thought I was having migraines, and then this happened. And in the past year, I just thought I was going to be better than I am now.
Teddy Mellencamp
You're getting there, though. You're getting there. And I know that you've. I mean, I can't imagine being. Feeling like this for a solid year has got away heavy on you. And I. I wish I could be there for you more. But you know what? Before you know it, this is all going to be behind you. I promise you, it's going to be behind you. And you're gonna beat cancer's ass and you're going to be doing a lot of things, helping other people. You're going to be writing a book that I keep telling you you need to start on.
Tamara Judge (emotional segments)
And I have immunotherapy today, and I'm, like, dreading it because they can't find my veins anymore. I don't want to have to get a port.
Teddy Mellencamp
Like, really?
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
Is it. Where did they put. They put it on your arm, right?
Tamara Judge
They sometimes put it into my wrist.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah. Is it just because your veins are very small or you dehydrated or.
Tamara Judge
No, it's because they've done it so many times.
Teddy Mellencamp
Oh, Gotcha.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
I love you, Teddy.
Tamara Judge
I love you, too. I just.
Teddy Mellencamp
I'm so sorry you're going through this. I really am.
Tamara Judge
I just.
Tamara Judge (emotional segments)
I really wanted to be in a better place by now. And, like, I. It's weird. I can't even plan, like, little things that I used to love to do. Like, my kids have asked me three times, like, what are we doing for spring break? And, like, I can't even plan it.
Teddy Mellencamp
Oh, honey, they understand. They do. I know you don't want to stress them out and tell them, like, mommy's not feeling great, but they'll understand.
Tamara Judge (emotional segments)
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
Sorry. I love you so much. I want to go through the mic and hug you. So you have immunotherapy today?
Tamara Judge
I have immunotherapy today. And then. I think it's just. It's really weighing on me.
Teddy Mellencamp
I. Of course it is. This is, you know, now that I'm physically getting better. Not great for you, you know.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
But think of the. The positives. You. There is some positives. You are getting better, and there is no detectable tumors anymore. And you are going to beat this. Nobody said it wasn't going to be a struggle, but you're going to beat this. You're going to feel better. I don't know when. I wish I could tell you, but soon. Soon.
Tamara Judge
Do you think?
Teddy Mellencamp
Yes, I do. I do. I think you probably feel right now like, when is this going to stop? When am I going to be back to myself?
Tamara Judge
Like, I'm not even a crier.
Teddy Mellencamp
I know you're. Trust me, I know. You're not. You're pretty tough.
Tamara Judge
Yeah. And I just feel, like, so worn down and exhausted and sad and lonely.
Teddy Mellencamp
Mad, too. Like, yeah, when is enough? But you know what? You're. 90% of the time, you're very strong. So it's all right for you to break down.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
Probably makes you feel a little bit better. It's okay to cry. And you know what else? It's okay. It's okay to talk about it.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
And I feel like you don't like talking about it.
Tamara Judge
I don't. Because then it.
Tamara Judge (emotional segments)
Like, it's real.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah. But maybe if you do talk about it more with your friends, it'll be a little therapeutic.
Tamara Judge
But I feel like then I'm such a hassle on people.
Teddy Mellencamp
Not at all. Not on me. You're gonna get through. I promise. Promise. Anything I can do to help anybody? Anything anybody can do to help.
Tamara Judge
No, I think I just need to get through it. And, like, my dad was here this past week, and it was really nice, and I got to hang out with him, and, like, there's moments where I feel really good.
Teddy Mellencamp
I noticed a spark in you when I was texting with you from San Francisco. Like, what are you doing? Like, oh, I'm going to dinner with my dad. Hanging out. I mean, like, every person says, oh, hanging out with Sean Penn and Bill Maher and John Mellon Melan. It's like, oh, Teddy. And you did say you were tired, but I just seeing you getting out and doing things, like, makes me feel so good that you're able to do that because stay. There's nothing more depressing than also staying home all the time.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
Especially for someone like you. That's so active.
Tamara Judge
I know. And I just. I want to just get back to where I was before.
Teddy Mellencamp
Are you able to work out right now?
Tamara Judge
I was do. I did it for the 30 days straight, and then now I've been doing it probably like three times a week.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah, it's.
Tamara Judge
It's definitely taking a downshift.
Teddy Mellencamp
Maybe we need to have a one year celebration party for you. Pajama party.
Tamara Judge
Pajama party.
Teddy Mellencamp
I saw that you had a pajama party with your friends for Super Bowl.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
And who was the other?
Tamara Judge
Kelly.
Teddy Mellencamp
Kelly, that's right.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
Did you guys have fun?
Tamara Judge
We had fun. Cruz invited a bunch of his friends over to watch the super bowl, and
Teddy Mellencamp
so There was like 700 kids there.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
Did you watch Super Bowl?
Tamara Judge
No, I just watched the halftime show.
Teddy Mellencamp
Let's talk about the halftime show a little bit. Two of Bravo's finest sure put their foot in their freaking mouth.
Tamara Judge
Like, what are they doing?
Teddy Mellencamp
Taylor Armstrong and Jill Zarin posted about the super bowl halftime show through their stories on Instagram. Now Jill posted since deleted. She did delete it. A video blasting the halftime show is the worst halftime show ever. Criticized the show for being largely in Spanish, saying she didn't understand it and thought it was inappropriate. Claimed the performance felt like a political statement. NFL sold out. Complained that bad bunny stage jester calling them unsuitable. Mocked Lady Gaga for her performance. Said she was unrecognizable because she had a facelift coming from her.
Tamara Judge
Please.
Teddy Mellencamp
I had to zoom in to look at Jill's face.
Tamara Judge
I know.
Teddy Mellencamp
Like who is that? Is that a filter? And then Taylor Armstrong, I just oh my God. She made made a meme. Shared a reaction on Instagram stories using her infamous cat meme to voice her annoyance with this performance. Wrote that she's embarrassed for the NFL and Apple because the show being totally in Spanish and included this is the best part. What she thought was a Cuban flag. Which it wasn't. It wasn't. It was a Puerto Rican flag.
Tamara Judge
Yeah, no, I she I don't understand why they even commented on the whole thing.
Teddy Mellencamp
Idiots. Yep, very disappointing. Very, very.
Tamara Judge

Teddy Mellencamp
Lucy Letby has been found guilty.

The moment you look at the whole picture, the case collapses.

Well, you know what I'm happy about?
Tamara Judge
What?
Teddy Mellencamp
Summerhouse. It's good.
Tamara Judge
It's so good.
Teddy Mellencamp
It is so, so good. And it's like. I mean, obviously, so far, it's about the demise of Kyle and Amanda's marriage.
Tamara Judge
Yeah. So it starts out where Kyle's jealous of Amanda skinny dipping because he feels like she's been ignoring him. Amanda reminds him that they've been skinny dipping in this house for 10 years.
Teddy Mellencamp
Well, do you think, like, I under kind of understand where Kyle's coming from, but it's his own damn fucking fault because there's. You know, they've been doing it for years. However, it's hitting different right now because they're not really together.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
And now he's like, okay, there's this distance, and now there she's skinny dipping and there's single guys around her. I think it's his own insecurity getting into it.
Tamara Judge
I think Kyle subconsciously triggered by Ben.
Teddy Mellencamp
I haven't caught that yet, but what I have caught is the eye contact with Amanda and. And bend and Ben. I feel like there's some kind of spark there. At least the camera is making it look like that. And the camera doesn't lie.
Tamara Judge
Yeah. And I want to know, was that trip where they skinny dipped together, was Kyle there?
Teddy Mellencamp
I think he was there. I think she said there was a bunch of them that skinny dipped. So I don't know. Have you in skinny dipping in your 40s?
Tamara Judge
No, haven't done any time.
Teddy Mellencamp
30s.
Tamara Judge
I don't remember the last time I skinny dips.
Teddy Mellencamp
And you have a pool in your backyard.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
I don't understand what the. I mean, unless you're, like, drunk and crazy. Skinny dipping. I've done that on the show. Broke my foot doing that. Like, I just would feel more comfortable with the bathing suit on. Just not one of those. That would just take my clothes off during the day and jump in my backyard and go swimming. Take a little dip.
Tamara Judge
Take a little dip.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yep. Getting water in all those places.
Tamara Judge
Well, they all have a night out. Kyle says Amanda smokes weed. Okay, what about this was a little bit bizarre to me. So Kyle says Amanda smokes weed every day.
Teddy Mellencamp
By the way, as he's slurring his words. Yeah, he's slurring his words again. Like, every episode. Like, they just got to the bar and he's already slurring his words. It's I'm concerned for him.
Tamara Judge
Yeah. But he says that Amanda smokes weed every night and then passes out so they never have time for sex. He also accuses her of being a hoarder. Amanda walks up and KJ tells Kyle, we're here for you. So Kyle's forced to tell Amanda what he was saying.
Teddy Mellencamp
Right. I mean, do you think kj, KJ did that on purpose or. He's like, we're here for ya. We're here for ya. Amanda's like, for what? And then Kyle's like, no, no. Like, shaking his head like, no, no, don't say anything. And then he was kind of forced to say it. By the way, the flashbacks of the marijuana in the ashtray and the hoarding didn't help Amanda out at all. Whatever. I'm all for cannabis, obviously, but the hoarding I cannot stand behind.
Tamara Judge
No.
Teddy Mellencamp
Although, you know, New York, I don't know how big their apartment is. You know, how small they are. Like, it would be really for me. Wouldn't it be really hard?
Tamara Judge
Yeah. I mean, how are you going to cram all your stuff and everywhere and have it look nice?
Teddy Mellencamp
I don't know. But they don't have kids, so I
Tamara Judge
don't think they're gonna have kids now.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah, I think that's off the table, right?
Tamara Judge
That's off the table. I think they're done. I think they're done there.
Teddy Mellencamp
Could you imagine, like, being done and then having to film a TV show?
Tamara Judge
No, but this is my question. Do you think at this point they were already done?
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah, I have a feeling. Yeah. Are very close to being done. That's what I think. Then they get back from the bar and Kyle is, like, so drunk out of his mind. Like, he. They have to take him to his bedroom. Yeah. You know what's mind boggling to me? He got up the next morning and went jogging.
Tamara Judge
And like, how. How does he do that?
Teddy Mellencamp
I don't know. How do you do that? It's.
Tamara Judge
So he's a functioning alcoholic.
Teddy Mellencamp
I don't know. I don't know.
Tamara Judge
Because his skin also looks really good. Like, he doesn't look like a hot mess.
Teddy Mellencamp
I know. It's. I mean, he's struggling, and I think it's most likely. I mean, he always is a drinker, but I feel like it's worse this season so far. He's been slurring in every single episode. And I think that the demise of his relationship is playing a big role, is what I'm thinking. He's probably just leaning on alcohol, which is probably, like, the worst thing you can do when you're sad.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
It's a depressant. Right?
Tamara Judge
That's a depressant. And I think he also isn't. He hasn't really opened up about anything, and neither is she. Like, I feel like we're just thrown into all of this right now, but, like, there hasn't been any real conversations between the two of them. Like, it's always. There's always a third party involved.
Teddy Mellencamp
Always. Like, I wish they would have shown, like, when they went home after the very first episode, like, a scene with them talking about this.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
Because even Amanda's like, he didn't even talk about it when you got home with me.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
Like, you just kind of blew it off. And they probably live separate lives, I would imagine, at this point. They're so disconnected. But how about Carl trying to make good impression on everybody, Getting them bagels and coffee in the morning? The two new girls are like, oh, my God, he's so dreamy.
Tamara Judge
I know.
Podcast Narrator / Advertiser
Bailey.
Teddy Mellencamp
Bailey. He's so dreamy. Like, they're like. I'm like, oh, here we go. Another robot.
Tamara Judge
They're going to hook up.
Teddy Mellencamp
Someone's going to hook up. I could feel it. I'm wondering if it's going to be Sierra and Wes.
Tamara Judge
What were your thoughts on how Sierra handled it with Kyle?
Teddy Mellencamp
I think that he was being sincere at that time, like, apologizing, but it's like, too late. It's like, too late. Nobody believes you. Nobody cares. At this point, Amanda's just over there, like, rolling her eyes, like, oh, please. You should have done this, you know, last weekend, not now.
Tamara Judge
I don't know that she needed to get involved.
Teddy Mellencamp
She didn't.
Tamara Judge
She was a little bit rude.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah. No, I agree. I mean, it wasn't nice. They shouldn't have done it. And then he gets up, he's like, I'm gonna go myself.
Tamara Judge
Okay, you go yourself.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah. How about when Sierra, Amanda, and Jesse are in bed? All I can think about, their faces were so close together. I'm like, I do not want to smell your morning breath.
Tamara Judge
No. And especially hangover morning breath.
Teddy Mellencamp
I know the new trait. Three amigos. What do you call themselves? Trace Amigas or the three amigas.
Tamara Judge
Mm, that's funny. But how did they all get so close with him all of a sudden?
Teddy Mellencamp
I don't know. Who's gonna end up with him this season?
Tamara Judge
I don't know.
Teddy Mellencamp
And who's Lindsay gonna end up with?
Tamara Judge
Lindsay's gotta end up with somebody.
Teddy Mellencamp
I know. So we finally get to see Lindsay Other than FaceTime. So Lindsay, Sierra and Amanda go to lunch. Kyle confided in Lindsay about his bad weekend. What. What were your thoughts about that? Like, and she's telling Amanda, I think. Of course I would tell Amanda. But, like, him reaching out to one of Amanda's friends to tell his side of the story.
Tamara Judge
Yeah, that's it. To me, it was one of those things where it was like, I think he's just grasping for straws, like, anything he can do to try to get attention.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah. And then when Amanda tells everybody, or the girl is like, yeah, he fell asleep at a fan's apartment and didn't come back till 6:00am Yeah.
Tamara Judge
I mean, she's got to be checked out after that.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah. Yeah.
Tamara Judge
I mean, who does that
Teddy Mellencamp
now? It's quite clear now that we're probably going to see a limited Lindsay this season because she had said, well, I can go the following weekend because that's when Gemma's with her dad. So it looks like the times that she's the. Her daughter's with her dad is when she'll be coming. Because I'm like, what are we going to have? Are we going to have like, the baby there? Like, I don't think she wants to put her on TV because she covers her. She covers her face in all the Instagram stuff. Yeah. Y. Yeah.
Tamara Judge
Which I think is smart.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah. So you just think that Kyle unloaded on Lindsay because he just needs someone to talk to.
Tamara Judge
I think he just needed someone to talk to. And I think he also is very stressed out financially as well.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah. Later on we do find out that he's deejaying because he needs the money. I mean, it's not uncommon for a startup. You know, you don't take a salary. We take salary from Veena for years, you know, until you have to put so much money into a startup.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
You know, you spend a minimum of $1 million a year just on advertising and all the expenses. It's like just better just put the money back into the business. So it's not uncommon, but I got to believe he's making a pretty penny on Summer House, right?
Tamara Judge
Yeah. I mean, he's got to be making. That's a lot of years. Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah.
Tamara Judge
But he said he had to do. What was it, 500,000 and deliver boy to save it. And he hasn't been taking a salary.
Teddy Mellencamp
Maybe it's time for investors. Yeah. I mean, it's all over the show. We've tasted.
Tamara Judge
Everybody's drinking it.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah. I don't. I don't understand what's going on there. But wish him well with that, because there's nothing worse than starting a business like that and having it fail. He'll pull himself out of it.
Tamara Judge
Do you believe Kyle's reasoning for becoming a dj?
Teddy Mellencamp
Well, that's another question too. Here's the thing. You want to go dj, go dj, don't drink, go home.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
It's different story when you're DJing, you're getting drunk and you're ending up on fans, couches. Yeah. That's where, you know, I'm like, oh, come on. Come on. But the interesting thing was is that Kyle said, and again, I don't know if he really, truly feels this. He doesn't think the relationship is over at that point, and he can't imagine his life without her. But she's checked out.
Tamara Judge
She doesn't even look at him.
Teddy Mellencamp
She won't. You know, it's like dinner. They don't sit next to each other. She gets to the house, and she's like, oh, my God, I'm all alone. And he's like, I'm right here.
Tamara Judge
I'm right here.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah, I'm right here. She's like, oh, yeah. And even the. The new girls were like, you have a best friend and you have your husband here. And she's like, oh, yeah.
Tamara Judge
How long do you think that this has really been going on?
Teddy Mellencamp
A long time. I feel like even last season, there looked like there was. Things were falling apart. Yeah, that's what I think. I don't know. It's hard to judge off reality tv, but now we're really, really seeing it.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
Do you think they actually split up during filming?
Tamara Judge
I think they're split up right now.
Teddy Mellencamp
They're split up right now. But do you think it happened?
Tamara Judge
No, but I mean, right now during filming. Like, what?
Teddy Mellencamp
Oh, you think? Wait, something tells me. I'm trying to remember. I think I heard her in an interview, Amanda in an interview, saying they split up before BravoCon. So if that's what she's saying, then they're acting like they're together all this season.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
So I don't know. There was a lot of talk, remember, on social media, that she had her own house.
Tamara Judge
Yeah. But then she posted all those videos of her.
Teddy Mellencamp
A dollhouse.
Tamara Judge
A dollhouse. And saying that. That. So I don't know why they would go into, like, that extreme if they really aren't together.
Teddy Mellencamp
I think maybe keeping it quiet for the sake of the show, maybe.
Tamara Judge
Yeah. I don't know.
Teddy Mellencamp
I don't know.
Tamara Judge
But they go back to the house for another weekend. Sierra brings her good friend Mia, a realtor, but she worked at the Box, a sex club for a bit.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah, the sex club where she says it took her out of her shell. I'm like, yeah, sex club would probably do that. And by the way, who's Mia? Is this another cast member? Because at this point, they have 20 cast members. I like her.
Tamara Judge
I like her, but I like her a lot.
Teddy Mellencamp
Do you think they're bringing in a ton of new cast members because of the spin off they're making and they're going to transition some of the older cast members into the new show?
Tamara Judge
I think that's what they're gonna do.
Teddy Mellencamp
That's what I think too, because I've never seen so many new cast members in one episode or one season.
Tamara Judge
And we still haven't even met Dara.
Teddy Mellencamp
Who's she? I know there's another one.
Tamara Judge
Yes.
Teddy Mellencamp
Who do you think will go transition to the other show? The OGs, or do you think they'll throw in Jesse and West too?
Tamara Judge
I think Jesse, west and Ciara are gonna hold down the fort at Summer House.
Teddy Mellencamp
This is so funny because it's Lindsey, Carl, Amanda, and Kyle. Four people that are separated from each other. I mean, that's a recipe for a good show, right?
Tamara Judge
Yeah. I mean, this is Sierra's sixth season.
Teddy Mellencamp
Maybe she.
Tamara Judge
I don't know.
Teddy Mellencamp
She's still pretty young. I love her to death.
Tamara Judge
I do, too.
Teddy Mellencamp
I really do. God, she's beautiful.
Tamara Judge
Why do you think she's so mad at Kyle?
Teddy Mellencamp
Probably because, you know, like, same reason I get mad at people. People's significant other. Because your friend tells you what they say.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
You know, and so when your friend tells you, like, he's doing this and this and this, you know, as a girls girl, you're like, kim, I hate him now. You know, if I was sitting here telling you horrible things about Eddie all the time, wouldn't you be like, he's a dick?
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
You know, I think for Ciara, she's on a show, she's gonna voice her opinion. Was it a little unnecessary at the table? Probably, yeah.
Tamara Judge
The timing was a little bizarre.
Jo Winterstein
Hi, this is Jo Winterstein, host of the Spirit daughter podcast where we talk about astrology, natal charts, and how to step into your most vibrant life. And I just sat down with a mini driver.

China's Ministry of State Security is one of the most mysterious and powerful spy agencies in the world. But in 2017, the FBI got inside.
Tamara Judge
This is Special Agent Regal, Special Agent Bradley Hall.

This MSS officer has no idea the US Government is onto him, but the FBI has his chats, texts, emails, even his personal diary. Hear how they got it on the Sixth Bureau podcast.
Tamara Judge
I now have several terabytes of an MSS officer.
Teddy Mellencamp
No doubt, no question of his life. And that's a unicorn. No one had ever seen anything like that. It was unbelievable. This is a story of the inner workings of the MSS and how one man's ambition and mistakes opened its vault of secrets.

I'm Nancy Glass, host of the Burden of Guilt Season two podcast. This is a story about a horrendous lie that destroyed two families. Late one night Bobby Gumpright became the victim of a random crime.
Teddy Mellencamp
He pulls the gun, tells me to lie down on the ground.
Nancy Glass
He identified Jermaine Hudson as the perpetrator. Jermaine was sentenced to 99 years.
Tamara Judge
I'm like, lord, this can't be real. I thought it was a mistaken identity.
Teddy Mellencamp
The best lie is partial truth.

Tamara Judge
What about how Jesse brings up how drunk Kyle got last weekend, which causes a big argument between Amanda and Kyle.
Teddy Mellencamp
Was. Yeah. Was Jesse intentionally strange up there, or is he just. Probably. He's just making storyline, I would imagine. Like, that's the obvious conversation that they should have had at that table. We found out that Kyle was so drunk that night that he fell down.
Tamara Judge
Yeah. And hit his head.
Teddy Mellencamp
And I love when Amanda goes, you're making smart decisions one after another. She's so cutting. It's so great. I mean, it got the conversation going, and then Kyle got up and left. And then as he slurring his words, he stopped and he said a few things, and then I'm gonna go myself. And then he left.
Tamara Judge
Yeah. But I think. I do think he should have apologized to the. The way he was trying to apologize to the group, I think made sense, but I do think it doesn't make sense that they didn't have the conversation prior.
Podcast Narrator / Advertiser
Right.
Teddy Mellencamp
He should have apologized to his wife first at home, on camera, when they left, after they left.
Tamara Judge
But
Teddy Mellencamp
would Kyle, like, walks off and he's like, being married to Amanda is like being married to a cactus.
Tamara Judge
Like.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah. Yeah.
Tamara Judge
I just think last season they were talking about how they wanted to move to the burbs and, like, have kids.
Teddy Mellencamp
Kids and all that. Yeah. Well, things change quickly, as we know. I think that Kyle did say he apologized. Not on camera, but she's like, that was an apology.
Tamara Judge
Yeah. No, she's not interested. She is not interested.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah.
Tamara Judge
It feels to me, it kind of feels bad that the cast is enjoying messing with their marriage. So
Teddy Mellencamp
I think that it's the elephant in the room. And I think when you're filming a reality show, I think that that's something that needs to be brought up. You know, it's most reality shows, nothing's off limits for the most part, and relationships aren't off limits. As much as we want them to be. They're not.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
You know, I think Beverly Hills is The only show that gets away with not having to talk about their love life.
Tamara Judge
Oh, my gosh. We didn't even get to recap that one together this past week.
Teddy Mellencamp
We'll do. We're going to do double Beverly Hills this week.
Tamara Judge
Oh, God.
Teddy Mellencamp
But I think we got to get to know Sierra a little bit on a deeper level. When she was getting emotional talking about her parents divorced when she was five and everything she's gone through and given her mother grace for raising two daughters as a single mom. And, you know, maybe she wasn't always there for her and things like that, but she. I think I understand why she's as strong as she is. Doesn't put up with any.
Tamara Judge
Why she puts up that hard exterior.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah, absolutely.
Tamara Judge
It's fear.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah, it's fear.
Tamara Judge
But.
Teddy Mellencamp
So then we have Sierra Mia cook dinner for the house. At the table, Kyle tries to apologize for last weekend, but stops as Amanda and Sierra make fun of him. I mean, again, I think that his apology was sincere. It was just. It would be nice for him not to do it when he's drunk and do it to his wife first, like we said. And then as they're getting ready to cook dinner, did you see Amanda go Kyle outside? I'm like, what is he, a dog?
Tamara Judge
Yeah. I mean, they have. They feel like they have not no love for one another right now.
Teddy Mellencamp
I know. I mean, she wouldn't even sit next to him at the dinner table.
Tamara Judge
No. But then I wondered if. Because Jesse said something along the lines of like, I'm center. I'm in the center. I'm moving up. So maybe they have a sun seating.
Teddy Mellencamp
I don't know. I mean, at least have them across from each other.
Tamara Judge
I know they're like staggered, but they're sleeping in the same bed.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah, for now. I can imagine Kyle on the couch soon.
Tamara Judge
You can. You don't think he's going to be part of the Trace amigas?
Teddy Mellencamp
Oh, God. Maybe he'll go sleep with Jesse.
Tamara Judge
But why can't I help myself that all I want is CR and west back together.
Teddy Mellencamp
Me too. Can we talk about Wes's fashion?
Tamara Judge
I can't.
Teddy Mellencamp
I mean, you gotta respect the boys fashion. Like it's. I mean, it's not for me, but like, if Eddie walked out like that, I'd be like, go back inside and put on your big boy clothes.
Tamara Judge
Remove those shants and put on some pants.
Teddy Mellencamp
I know. I couldn't understand. Like, I was trying to figure out the outfit. It was a lot.
Tamara Judge
And then he put on like that crumbled up hat, huh?
Teddy Mellencamp
And somehow he pulls it off. I know he's gonna be walking runways soon. Just wait. Or he's gonna come out with his own clothing line.
Tamara Judge
Oh, I bet he may, huh?
Teddy Mellencamp
He would be smart. Someone's gonna be knocking on his door or be a spokesperson for some clothing line or something.
Tamara Judge
What do you think housewives would do if they had to cook all the dinners at the house?
Teddy Mellencamp
Well, we saw in Beverly Hills when who was it was cooking the season for everybody?
Tamara Judge
Kathy.
Teddy Mellencamp
Kathy didn't go very well. Took hours and hours and hours. And then Sutton was supposed to cook with the chicken and is like the main course and didn't even start it until after everything was done. So not well. Yeah, that's what I think.
Tamara Judge
Wow. Not well.
Teddy Mellencamp
Very unorganized. I could cook a dinner for sure. I think there's certain people that can cook a dinner. Vicky cooks, Shannon cooks. I don't know about the other shows, though. Yeah, I wouldn't want you to cook.
Tamara Judge
I wouldn't want me to cook either. I would want me to postmates.
Teddy Mellencamp
It's easier. That's for sure.
Tamara Judge
But I am really liking this. I am. I'm liking the show. I want more information. I want to know more about the newbies. I want to dig into them a little bit more.
Teddy Mellencamp
Okay, me too. I mean, so far, I think that the two is. Her name Bailey is made for tv. Yeah, made for tv. We saw she goes on the streets and interviews people. Street interview. I didn't even know that was like a real thing. Street interviewer.
Tamara Judge
I don't know why I have this feeling she's gonna make out with Carl.
Teddy Mellencamp
Oh, 100. Yeah.
Tamara Judge
I feel like it's gonna happen.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah, but.
Tamara Judge
But it's good. I like it. I'm into it. No complaints. I'm gonna start DJing and then
Teddy Mellencamp
I'll
Tamara Judge
be back later this week.
Teddy Mellencamp
There's DJ school that you can go to. I found that out when I took Sevilla to the music institute. Go to school to be a dj.
Tamara Judge
What about. How did you see that all the people were DJing this past weekend at super bowl parties?
Teddy Mellencamp
Who?
Tamara Judge
Dorinda.
Teddy Mellencamp
Oh, yeah, Dorinda. Probably Meredith.
Tamara Judge
Yeah, I think I saw Dorinda, definitely. But I don't know about Meredith. I think I also saw Kyle.
Teddy Mellencamp
Oh, I'm sure.
Tamara Judge
How much do you think they make DJing?
Teddy Mellencamp
I have no idea. But what if it's a lot of money? It has to be. It has to be, right? It's like. I would imagine it's like, okay, when we do an appearance fee. Yeah, I would imagine it would be something like that. Maybe a little bit more.
Tamara Judge
But how much talent do you think it takes to dj?
Teddy Mellencamp
I don't think any. Not for like what they're doing. I think if you're in Ibiza and you are like a big time.
Tamara Judge
Mixing tracks.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah, mixing tracks and doing all that. I don't know, I honestly, maybe it is as hard as that. I know nothing about DJing.
Tamara Judge
Me neither. But I can't wait till you get your license and you start DJing this season.
Teddy Mellencamp
Sweetie, I'm looking for a rocking chair to sit in. Just relax. That's what I'm looking for. My biggest issue right now is by nighttime endurance. I'm in bed by 8 o' clock sometimes, like my day's over at 6:30 and I'll just sit in bed and. And yeah, prep for the pod and you know, take my gummy and go to sleep.
Tamara Judge
Like I feel like you were just filming.
Teddy Mellencamp
I. That's how I feel too. I feel the same way. I'm like, didn't we just finish? Wasn't I just looking for a reunion dress?
Tamara Judge
Yeah, I feel like that was just yesterday that you were trying to quit and I was yelling at you for not.
Teddy Mellencamp
Yeah, I was two weeks into filming when you got diagnosed.
Tamara Judge
Oh yeah.
Teddy Mellencamp
Two weeks into film. No quitting. I won't quit if I'm not gonna quit. At my worst most depressed moment, I wouldn't. Never done it before.
Tamara Judge
So you're not gonna quit this year? No.
Teddy Mellencamp
All right, guys. Well, Summer house is off to a great start. And we'll see you next week.
Tamara Judge
See you next week.

Timestamps: 10:53 – 12:18
Timestamps: 17:04 – 45:38
The episode blends emotional candor (Tamra’s health), empathy, and best-friend banter with sharp, sometimes irreverent reality TV commentary. Teddi plays the supportive coach/friend; Tamra is both vulnerable and playfully biting, especially about Summer House relationships and housewives lore.
This episode weaves real-life struggle with lighthearted gossip and pointed reality TV analysis. Tamra and Teddi don’t shy away from difficult emotions but transition seamlessly into the drama and hilarity fans tune in for—from calling out Bravo D-listers to speculating on relationship meltdowns and making jabs about DJing housewives. For listeners who haven’t watched, the recap covers all major plot beats and cast changes, laced with the hosts’ signature wit and (at times caustic) honesty.
