It's been a year since all of this happened, and I know I should be so grateful, but I miss. I don't even have my memories from before. Remember the year and a half before it's gonna take.

I miss just having, like, a family unit and doing things together.

Yeah. Yes, I know. I know. And I think that now it's all kind of hitting you and the time you need that closeness and somebody there laying next to you. It's been my entire. This entire time that you've been going through this. I've been saying it, like, hate that you're really doing it alone. You don't have that partner right next to you, and it's going to make it a hundred times worse going through. And it just breaks my heart. And I hate to see you like this. And I w. I thought. You know what I thought about the other day, because, you know, this is your one year. This week is your one year anniversary. You know, we came home from super bowl weekend in New Orleans. Monday you went to the hospital. Tuesday you had your surgery. And I just. I thought, like, if I didn't have my family here, I would go move right over next to you so I could be with you every single day.

I mean, it's. It's so bizarre, like, because I think it happened so quick, and I know that I don't. I don't want to talk about this over and over again, but, like, you

can talk about it all you want if it makes you feel better.

But I think I just. Because I didn't expect it to happen like it was. You know, I thought I was having migraines, and then this happened. And in the past year, I just thought I was going to be better than I am now.

You're getting there, though. You're getting there. And I know that you've. I mean, I can't imagine being. Feeling like this for a solid year has got away heavy on you. And I. I wish I could be there for you more. But you know what? Before you know it, this is all going to be behind you. I promise you, it's going to be behind you. And you're gonna beat cancer's ass and you're going to be doing a lot of things, helping other people. You're going to be writing a book that I keep telling you you need to start on.

And I have immunotherapy today, and I'm, like, dreading it because they can't find my veins anymore. I don't want to have to get a port.

Like, really?

Yeah.

Is it. Where did they put. They put it on your arm, right?

[Tamara Judge]

They sometimes put it into my wrist.

Yeah. Is it just because your veins are very small or you dehydrated or.

No, it's because they've done it so many times.

Oh, honey, they understand. They do. I know you don't want to stress them out and tell them, like, mommy's not feeling great, but they'll understand.

I have immunotherapy today. And then. I think it's just. It's really weighing on me.

I. Of course it is. This is, you know, now that I'm physically getting better. Not great for you, you know.

Yeah.

But think of the. The positives. You. There is some positives. You are getting better, and there is no detectable tumors anymore. And you are going to beat this. Nobody said it wasn't going to be a struggle, but you're going to beat this. You're going to feel better. I don't know when. I wish I could tell you, but soon. Soon.

[Tamara Judge]

Yes, I do. I do. I think you probably feel right now like, when is this going to stop? When am I going to be back to myself?

[Tamara Judge]

Like, I'm not even a crier.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

I know you're. Trust me, I know. You're not. You're pretty tough.

[Tamara Judge]

Yeah. And I just feel, like, so worn down and exhausted and sad and lonely.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Mad, too. Like, yeah, when is enough? But you know what? You're. 90% of the time, you're very strong. So it's all right for you to break down.

[Tamara Judge]

Yeah.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Probably makes you feel a little bit better. It's okay to cry. And you know what else? It's okay. It's okay to talk about it.

[Tamara Judge]

Yeah.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

And I feel like you don't like talking about it.

I don't. Because then it.

Like, it's real.

Yeah. But maybe if you do talk about it more with your friends, it'll be a little therapeutic.

But I feel like then I'm such a hassle on people.

No, I think I just need to get through it. And, like, my dad was here this past week, and it was really nice, and I got to hang out with him, and, like, there's moments where I feel really good.

I noticed a spark in you when I was texting with you from San Francisco. Like, what are you doing? Like, oh, I'm going to dinner with my dad. Hanging out. I mean, like, every person says, oh, hanging out with Sean Penn and Bill Maher and John Mellon Melan. It's like, oh, Teddy. And you did say you were tired, but I just seeing you getting out and doing things, like, makes me feel so good that you're able to do that because stay. There's nothing more depressing than also staying home all the time.

Yeah.

Especially for someone like you. That's so active.

I know. And I just. I want to just get back to where I was before.

I was do. I did it for the 30 days straight, and then now I've been doing it probably like three times a week.

A video blasting the halftime show is the worst halftime show ever. Criticized the show for being largely in Spanish, saying she didn't understand it and thought it was inappropriate. Claimed the performance felt like a political statement. NFL sold out. Complained that bad bunny stage jester calling them unsuitable. Mocked Lady Gaga for her performance. Said she was unrecognizable because she had a facelift coming from her.

I haven't caught that yet, but what I have caught is the eye contact with Amanda and. And bend and Ben. I feel like there's some kind of spark there. At least the camera is making it look like that. And the camera doesn't lie.

Yeah. And I want to know, was that trip where they skinny dipped together, was Kyle there?

[Teddy Mellencamp]

I think he was there. I think she said there was a bunch of them that skinny dipped. So I don't know. Have you in skinny dipping in your 40s?

No, haven't done any time.

30s.

I don't remember the last time I skinny dips.

And you have a pool in your backyard.

Yeah.

I don't understand what the. I mean, unless you're, like, drunk and crazy. Skinny dipping. I've done that on the show. Broke my foot doing that. Like, I just would feel more comfortable with the bathing suit on. Just not one of those. That would just take my clothes off during the day and jump in my backyard and go swimming. Take a little dip.

Yep. Getting water in all those places.

Well, they all have a night out. Kyle says Amanda smokes weed. Okay, what about this was a little bit bizarre to me. So Kyle says Amanda smokes weed every day.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

By the way, as he's slurring his words. Yeah, he's slurring his words again. Like, every episode. Like, they just got to the bar and he's already slurring his words. It's I'm concerned for him.

[Tamara Judge]

Yeah. But he says that Amanda smokes weed every night and then passes out so they never have time for sex. He also accuses her of being a hoarder. Amanda walks up and KJ tells Kyle, we're here for you. So Kyle's forced to tell Amanda what he was saying.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Right. I mean, do you think kj, KJ did that on purpose or. He's like, we're here for ya. We're here for ya. Amanda's like, for what? And then Kyle's like, no, no. Like, shaking his head like, no, no, don't say anything. And then he was kind of forced to say it. By the way, the flashbacks of the marijuana in the ashtray and the hoarding didn't help Amanda out at all. Whatever. I'm all for cannabis, obviously, but the hoarding I cannot stand behind.

[Tamara Judge]

No.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Although, you know, New York, I don't know how big their apartment is. You know, how small they are. Like, it would be really for me. Wouldn't it be really hard?

[Tamara Judge]

Yeah. I mean, how are you going to cram all your stuff and everywhere and have it look nice?

[Teddy Mellencamp]

I don't know. But they don't have kids, so I

[Tamara Judge]

don't think they're gonna have kids now.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Yeah, I think that's off the table, right?

[Tamara Judge]

That's off the table. I think they're done. I think they're done there.

Could you imagine, like, being done and then having to film a TV show?

No, but this is my question. Do you think at this point they were already done?

Yeah, I have a feeling. Yeah. Are very close to being done. That's what I think. Then they get back from the bar and Kyle is, like, so drunk out of his mind. Like, he. They have to take him to his bedroom. Yeah. You know what's mind boggling to me? He got up the next morning and went jogging.

And like, how. How does he do that?

[Teddy Mellencamp]

I don't know. How do you do that? It's.

[Tamara Judge]

So he's a functioning alcoholic.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

I don't know. I don't know.

Because his skin also looks really good. Like, he doesn't look like a hot mess.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

I know. It's. I mean, he's struggling, and I think it's most likely. I mean, he always is a drinker, but I feel like it's worse this season so far. He's been slurring in every single episode. And I think that the demise of his relationship is playing a big role, is what I'm thinking. He's probably just leaning on alcohol, which is probably, like, the worst thing you can do when you're sad.

[Tamara Judge]

Yeah.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

It's a depressant. Right?

[Tamara Judge]

That's a depressant. And I think he also isn't. He hasn't really opened up about anything, and neither is she. Like, I feel like we're just thrown into all of this right now, but, like, there hasn't been any real conversations between the two of them. Like, it's always. There's always a third party involved.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Always. Like, I wish they would have shown, like, when they went home after the very first episode, like, a scene with them talking about this.

[Tamara Judge]

Yeah.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Because even Amanda's like, he didn't even talk about it when you got home with me.

[Tamara Judge]

Yeah.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Like, you just kind of blew it off. And they probably live separate lives, I would imagine, at this point. They're so disconnected. But how about Carl trying to make good impression on everybody, Getting them bagels and coffee in the morning? The two new girls are like, oh, my God, he's so dreamy.

I know.

What were your thoughts on how Sierra handled it with Kyle?

I think that he was being sincere at that time, like, apologizing, but it's like, too late. It's like, too late. Nobody believes you. Nobody cares. At this point, Amanda's just over there, like, rolling her eyes, like, oh, please. You should have done this, you know, last weekend, not now.

I don't know that she needed to get involved.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

She didn't.

She was a little bit rude.

Yeah. No, I agree. I mean, it wasn't nice. They shouldn't have done it. And then he gets up, he's like, I'm gonna go myself.

Yeah. How about when Sierra, Amanda, and Jesse are in bed? All I can think about, their faces were so close together. I'm like, I do not want to smell your morning breath.

I know the new trait. Three amigos. What do you call themselves? Trace Amigas or the three amigas.

Mm, that's funny. But how did they all get so close with him all of a sudden?

I don't know. Who's gonna end up with him this season?

I don't know.

And who's Lindsay gonna end up with?

Lindsay's gotta end up with somebody.

I know. So we finally get to see Lindsay Other than FaceTime. So Lindsay, Sierra and Amanda go to lunch. Kyle confided in Lindsay about his bad weekend. What. What were your thoughts about that? Like, and she's telling Amanda, I think. Of course I would tell Amanda. But, like, him reaching out to one of Amanda's friends to tell his side of the story.

[Tamara Judge]

Yeah, that's it. To me, it was one of those things where it was like, I think he's just grasping for straws, like, anything he can do to try to get attention.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Yeah. And then when Amanda tells everybody, or the girl is like, yeah, he fell asleep at a fan's apartment and didn't come back till 6:00am Yeah.

[Tamara Judge]

I mean, she's got to be checked out after that.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Yeah. Yeah.

I mean, who does that

now? It's quite clear now that we're probably going to see a limited Lindsay this season because she had said, well, I can go the following weekend because that's when Gemma's with her dad. So it looks like the times that she's the. Her daughter's with her dad is when she'll be coming. Because I'm like, what are we going to have? Are we going to have like, the baby there? Like, I don't think she wants to put her on TV because she covers her. She covers her face in all the Instagram stuff. Yeah. Y. Yeah.

Which I think is smart.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Yeah. So you just think that Kyle unloaded on Lindsay because he just needs someone to talk to.

[Tamara Judge]

I think he just needed someone to talk to. And I think he also is very stressed out financially as well.

Yeah. Later on we do find out that he's deejaying because he needs the money. I mean, it's not uncommon for a startup. You know, you don't take a salary. We take salary from Veena for years, you know, until you have to put so much money into a startup.

[Tamara Judge]

Yeah.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

You know, you spend a minimum of $1 million a year just on advertising and all the expenses. It's like just better just put the money back into the business. So it's not uncommon, but I got to believe he's making a pretty penny on Summer House, right?

[Tamara Judge]

Yeah. I mean, he's got to be making. That's a lot of years. Yeah.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Yeah.

[Tamara Judge]

But he said he had to do. What was it, 500,000 and deliver boy to save it. And he hasn't been taking a salary.

Maybe it's time for investors. Yeah. I mean, it's all over the show. We've tasted.

Everybody's drinking it.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Yeah. I don't. I don't understand what's going on there. But wish him well with that, because there's nothing worse than starting a business like that and having it fail. He'll pull himself out of it.

Do you believe Kyle's reasoning for becoming a dj?

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Well, that's another question too. Here's the thing. You want to go dj, go dj, don't drink, go home.

Yeah.

It's different story when you're DJing, you're getting drunk and you're ending up on fans, couches. Yeah. That's where, you know, I'm like, oh, come on. Come on. But the interesting thing was is that Kyle said, and again, I don't know if he really, truly feels this. He doesn't think the relationship is over at that point, and he can't imagine his life without her. But she's checked out.

[Tamara Judge]

She doesn't even look at him.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

She won't. You know, it's like dinner. They don't sit next to each other. She gets to the house, and she's like, oh, my God, I'm all alone. And he's like, I'm right here.

[Tamara Judge]

I'm right here.

Yeah, I'm right here. She's like, oh, yeah. And even the. The new girls were like, you have a best friend and you have your husband here. And she's like, oh, yeah.

How long do you think that this has really been going on?

[Teddy Mellencamp]

A long time. I feel like even last season, there looked like there was. Things were falling apart. Yeah, that's what I think. I don't know. It's hard to judge off reality tv, but now we're really, really seeing it.

Yeah.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Do you think they actually split up during filming?

[Tamara Judge]

I think they're split up right now.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

They're split up right now. But do you think it happened?

No, but I mean, right now during filming. Like, what?

Oh, you think? Wait, something tells me. I'm trying to remember. I think I heard her in an interview, Amanda in an interview, saying they split up before BravoCon. So if that's what she's saying, then they're acting like they're together all this season.

Yeah.

So I don't know. There was a lot of talk, remember, on social media, that she had her own house.

Yeah. But then she posted all those videos of her.

A dollhouse. And saying that. That. So I don't know why they would go into, like, that extreme if they really aren't together.

Yeah, the sex club where she says it took her out of her shell. I'm like, yeah, sex club would probably do that. And by the way, who's Mia? Is this another cast member? Because at this point, they have 20 cast members. I like her.

I like her, but I like her a lot.

Do you think they're bringing in a ton of new cast members because of the spin off they're making and they're going to transition some of the older cast members into the new show?

[Tamara Judge]

I think that's what they're gonna do.

That's what I think too, because I've never seen so many new cast members in one episode or one season.

And we still haven't even met Dara.

And I love when Amanda goes, you're making smart decisions one after another. She's so cutting. It's so great. I mean, it got the conversation going, and then Kyle got up and left. And then as he slurring his words, he stopped and he said a few things, and then I'm gonna go myself. And then he left.

Yeah. But I think. I do think he should have apologized to the. The way he was trying to apologize to the group, I think made sense, but I do think it doesn't make sense that they didn't have the conversation prior.

It feels to me, it kind of feels bad that the cast is enjoying messing with their marriage. So

I think that it's the elephant in the room. And I think when you're filming a reality show, I think that that's something that needs to be brought up. You know, it's most reality shows, nothing's off limits for the most part, and relationships aren't off limits. As much as we want them to be. They're not.

You know, I think Beverly Hills is The only show that gets away with not having to talk about their love life.

Why she puts up that hard exterior.

Yeah, absolutely.

So then we have Sierra Mia cook dinner for the house. At the table, Kyle tries to apologize for last weekend, but stops as Amanda and Sierra make fun of him. I mean, again, I think that his apology was sincere. It was just. It would be nice for him not to do it when he's drunk and do it to his wife first, like we said. And then as they're getting ready to cook dinner, did you see Amanda go Kyle outside? I'm like, what is he, a dog?

Yeah. I mean, they have. They feel like they have not no love for one another right now.

I know. I mean, she wouldn't even sit next to him at the dinner table.

No. But then I wondered if. Because Jesse said something along the lines of like, I'm center. I'm in the center. I'm moving up. So maybe they have a sun seating.

I don't know. I mean, at least have them across from each other.

I know they're like staggered, but they're sleeping in the same bed.

What do you think housewives would do if they had to cook all the dinners at the house?

Well, we saw in Beverly Hills when who was it was cooking the season for everybody?

Kathy.

Kathy didn't go very well. Took hours and hours and hours. And then Sutton was supposed to cook with the chicken and is like the main course and didn't even start it until after everything was done. So not well. Yeah, that's what I think.

Very unorganized. I could cook a dinner for sure. I think there's certain people that can cook a dinner. Vicky cooks, Shannon cooks. I don't know about the other shows, though. Yeah, I wouldn't want you to cook.
