Two T's in a pod with Teddy.
Tamara Judge
Mellencamp and Tamara Judge. Hi, guys.
Teddi Mellencamp
Welcome to another episode of two T's in a Pod with myself, Teddi Mellencamp and Tamara Judge. Hey, it's so weird to be so close to you.
Tamara Judge
I know.
Teddi Mellencamp
We gotta recap the first episode of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Tamara Judge
It's so good. So you got me turned onto it. You recapped it last year with Emily, and so I went back. Cause I didn't watch it. And so I went back and watched the first season binge watched it. And the first episode, I'm like, what the hell? Somebody gets arrested, Somebody gets divorced. Somebody gets this. Like, it's insanity.
Teddi Mellencamp
I mean, these girls are so good at narrating what's happening next. And I think because they're. The code that I've noticed is in Mom Talk. Are we gonna let them in? Mom Talk is like the new breaking the program.
Tamara Judge
Should we start our own Mom Talk?
Teddi Mellencamp
They have moves. We have zero moves.
Tamara Judge
Twat talk.
Teddi Mellencamp
Twat talk.
Tamara Judge
Yes. We can talk about.
Teddi Mellencamp
No. Twat talk.
Tamara Judge
We can talk about twat.
Teddi Mellencamp
No, we'd have to.
Tamara Judge
How's your twat?
Teddi Mellencamp
No, we'd have to do. I don't even. Not. They're not even reels.
Tamara Judge
They're tiktoks. Yeah, but that's.
Teddi Mellencamp
I don't even have TikTok on my phone. I had to ask some. Somebody that love for me.
Tamara Judge
But did they start out as a podcast or did they start out as a TikTok? I'm confused.
Teddi Mellencamp
They all joined the same tiktoks so that they could grow their followings. Either way, it starts out, we see a preview of what's to come in season two. The Mom Talk. Girls are fighting with each other. The husbands are fighting. The cops are involved. Why is there ever cops involved on Housewives?
Tamara Judge
Well, thank God.
Teddi Mellencamp
I love to watch cops involved. I was like, hold on. What is the. Do you remember Cops the show?
Tamara Judge
Yes.
Unknown
How did that.
Teddi Mellencamp
Bad boys, bad boys, what you gonna do? What you gonna do when they come for you? Bad boys, bad boys what you gonna do?
Tamara Judge
Yes. That was their whole. This has been their whole.
Teddi Mellencamp
I wanted that music to play as I was watching the episodes. I mean, guys, this show, we should.
Tamara Judge
Do a TikTok with them with that song.
Teddi Mellencamp
We should, but we gotta wait until we get one of the wives of. Oh, one of the husbands involved in the. In the fight. Oh, my gosh. And then we get to Vanderpump. There's so many things, but either way, we have opening credits where the girls are wearing the same white dresses and are filmed as though they are being baptized. And that song really hits you.
Tamara Judge
They have good music on their show.
Teddi Mellencamp
It's expensive to be mom talks.
Tamara Judge
I know, I know. And not to mention the press they're getting. Do you see all the press they're getting?
Teddi Mellencamp
They were on Jimmy Kimmel. Some of them are on Jimmy Kimmel. I reposted it. I was like, I am happy to zip up to Utah.
Tamara Judge
Hey, Hulu. What's up?
Unknown
Hulu, what's up?
Tamara Judge
You want to do some twat talk?
Teddi Mellencamp
Hulu, we're not afraid to create a scandal.
Tamara Judge
No, I'll have Teddy arrested.
Teddi Mellencamp
Listen, we're not. We're not afraid to fight. The Mon Talk Girls are kicking off Halloween at the Gracie Lou Cowboy Pillows Influencer.
Tamara Judge
No, they say, like, the, you know, the, the Halloween stuff is not like they're LDs, and in a lot of religions, Halloween is very off limits. And they're like, I don't give a shit.
Teddi Mellencamp
Not in this show. You can do Halloween. You can do.
Tamara Judge
You can swing.
Teddi Mellencamp
You can swing. You can dress.
Unknown
Dry hump.
Teddi Mellencamp
I mean, the girls that I know, that are true, true, like, deep into lds. I mean, they're wearing undergarments. I was so happy to see Whitney back. I didn't realize, really, she's gonna. You're not seeing it, but, I mean, you saw last.
Unknown
She's a troublemaker, right?
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah. We need troublemakers. Okay, so we've got Whitney coming back.
Tamara Judge
Troublemakers are very important to reality tv.
Teddi Mellencamp
Let me tell you why Tamara's plugging herself now. Then we've got.
Tamara Judge
Well, they got a new troublemaker that came in.
Teddi Mellencamp
I love Miranda. I'm obsessed.
Tamara Judge
And you know who's really happy that Miranda's in this group now?
Teddi Mellencamp
Who?
Tamara Judge
Whitney. She's like, there's a new villain in Utah.
Teddi Mellencamp
But I don't even see Miranda as the villain.
Unknown
I feel like, well, she might be a liar.
Tamara Judge
She might be a little bit of liar. She says there was no. She said it was just kissing and spinning the bottle. I, I, you know what?
Teddi Mellencamp
I spin the bottle in the fifth grade. So, like, what's the big deal? I did too big Dill, what was.
Tamara Judge
The other game we used to Say, who says dill?
Teddi Mellencamp
Whitney Rose. It's a big dill.
Tamara Judge
Dill.
Teddi Mellencamp
It's not a big dill.
Tamara Judge
The healing.
Teddi Mellencamp
The healing and the big deal.
Tamara Judge
The big deal and the healing.
Teddi Mellencamp
But then Miranda and her ex husband Chase were the couple involved in the swinging scandal. But Miranda claims they only played spin the bottle. Mom talk has grown immensely since season one, which is why we're happy.
Tamara Judge
Miranda, I need numbers. I want to know where they started, where they're at, how much their social media posts are getting, and how do they split that? Because it's very confusing to me. Because they have what one TikTok that they do the mom talk on or do they all have individual talks?
Teddi Mellencamp
They all have individual talks.
Tamara Judge
Who has the most followers?
Teddi Mellencamp
Oh, Taylor. Taylor, Frankie, Paul, obviously.
Tamara Judge
Taylor. I thought Taylor was gonna be here today.
Teddi Mellencamp
Taylor, Frankie Paul is the. She's the Tamara judge of talk.
Tamara Judge
Okay? I'll tell you.
Teddi Mellencamp
She's a Tamara judge of talk.
Tamara Judge
She's adorable.
Teddi Mellencamp
She is adorable.
Tamara Judge
She is absolutely adorable.
Teddi Mellencamp
She isn't afraid to show her emotions on camera.
Tamara Judge
No, she's not afraid to get arrested on camera either.
Teddi Mellencamp
That was last season. This season. But I just can't get over that, guys. She's sex dreams about our getting arrested on camera. Almost. Allegedly.
Tamara Judge
I can't wait to dig into the Dakota of it all.
Teddi Mellencamp
But Miranda joining the show after a successful first season is as shocking as Sheena joining the Valley after Pump Rules ended. She's get out of our comment section and then I'll leave you alone.
Tamara Judge
Wait, is Sheena mad at us again?
Teddi Mellencamp
She's mad at us again. But remember the last time Sheena got mad at us? She goes, that wasn't actually me. It was my social media managers. So Sheena's social media manager. We loved Sheena, but it was because the girl that you called AI is upset.
Tamara Judge
Oh, I mean, read all the other comments. The one we said wasn't bad at all. Listen, we love all the people on.
Teddi Mellencamp
The shows we love, and I know that things are. And here's one of the managers. Don't give away what's coming. Cause she said you guys are gonna take a turn. Well, great. We will take a. And we want to wait and watch it. And then we'll take a turn and.
Tamara Judge
We'Ll give her all the props she needs.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Tamara Judge
She has a podcast on Iheart, so we gotta be nice to her.
Teddi Mellencamp
You should listen. It's called pursuit of sassiness. Because maybe she shows a different side of herself.
Tamara Judge
Do you think she'll let us be on her pod.
Teddi Mellencamp
She's already asked me.
Tamara Judge
She didn't ask me.
Teddi Mellencamp
I'm just kidding.

Teddi Mellencamp
Can we talk about Jen and Zach?
Tamara Judge
Yes we can.
Teddi Mellencamp
Jen Affleck's second cousins.
Tamara Judge
That is the second cousin. I heard that was a lie.
Teddi Mellencamp
Well, we get into this more once the season continues, but Jen and Zach have been separated for a few months. She lives in Utah in an Airbnb and he is in Arizona for medical school. But shockingly he comes back once filming's up.
Tamara Judge
Yeah, and I was so happy he cut that hair.
Teddi Mellencamp
Oh well, he saw himself. At least he has some self reflection, right? Well, I know, but sometimes when you watch yourself on tv, like there are certain things, you know, the bangs, your sky tops.
Tamara Judge
No, the hair was so bad. But.
Teddi Mellencamp
But what about how Zach reached out to all the mom talk. Girls, how would you felt about that if Eddie were to reach out to all the girls without telling?
Tamara Judge
No, no, I wouldn't like that. But he reached out to them because there was a text message that made him look like a douche lord.
Teddi Mellencamp
Right? I'm like, you are a douche lord.
Tamara Judge
And so he figured that if he reached out to them, that would make things better. Now, he treated her like crap last year. And so this year, he's coming back because he wants his wife back or because he wants to be on tv.
Teddi Mellencamp
Well, clearly he wants to make money and be on TV because he's leaving med school.
Tamara Judge
I don't need that. I got Hulu.
Teddi Mellencamp
I don't need that. I got the Tiktoks. But now that TikTok's back.
Tamara Judge
But weren't you like, Jen? No. No.
Teddi Mellencamp
But now I'm starting to wonder about Jen. I feel like Jen is an undercover person that fights too, because you could see she's trying to produce him on camera. Like, she's like, no, Zach.
Tamara Judge
Well, don't we always try to produce our husbands?
Teddi Mellencamp
Because I do, but she needs to be a little bit more subtle about it. I'm sorry.
Tamara Judge
I know. If I could see it.
Teddi Mellencamp
I love a voice note more than anybody.
Tamara Judge
Yes, I know, Teddy.
Teddi Mellencamp
But I would have left Zach's on read.
Tamara Judge
Probably.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah. I don't need to respond to it.
Tamara Judge
Do we know what was said in the text messages about his wife or to his wife?
Teddi Mellencamp
Disgustingly mean.
Tamara Judge
Oh, hell no.
Teddi Mellencamp
Disgustingly mean. Then Taylor's at Macy's house so she can meet with Jenna, who hooked up with Dakota. When Dakota was seeing Taylor, this whole.
Tamara Judge
Thing, this made me sad. I mean, it was great. That Jenna, who. She's adorable. She came in and sat down and was nervous. And Taylor's like, just. Just give it to me. Show me your phone. Let me look at it. She had her phone out. She's comparing notes. She's like, he couldn't be with me that day. Cause he said he was busy. Clearly, he was with you.
Teddi Mellencamp
But then I think more to this story unfolds as the season goes on.
Tamara Judge
Oh, it gets worse.
Teddi Mellencamp
It gets. It makes. Here's the problem with you, Hulu, in the best possible way, is you make us see both sides of every situation. Then Dakota was taking Jenna out on dates during the day, while Taylor was the girl he'd meet up with at night to have sex with.
Tamara Judge
I know. And then Dakota was making Jenna sound so desperate to Taylor, and it's like, here's the Proof in the text messages right here.
Teddi Mellencamp
They're both beautiful girls.
Tamara Judge
They are.
Teddi Mellencamp
And Dakota clearly is. You know, at this point. This is very early on in their relationship, but I'm also wondering, taylor, I love you, but you're not gonna do anything about it. Once you do see it, you're gonna get another fight.
Tamara Judge
But let me ask you this timeline. Timeline. Was he.
Teddi Mellencamp
They were not exclusive.
Tamara Judge
Were they banging? He wasn't really banging Jenna. Right. He was just dry humping. Is that what he said he was?
Teddi Mellencamp
I mean, maybe he was bed jumping.
Tamara Judge
He said dry humping. I believe. Now, was Taylor already pregnant at this time?
Teddi Mellencamp
No, this is at the beginning. Beginning, beginning.
Tamara Judge
Okay, well then, I don't know.
Teddi Mellencamp
They weren't even in a relationship and Taylor's making the choice to.
Tamara Judge
Well now a year later, she's already had the baby. And now she's gonna go back a year when they were just started dating and it's like, I don't know.
Teddi Mellencamp
And if you want to feel like that. And I think they. We heard first season that they had sex night three, which I'm not judging her, go for it. But then like night three, you're not in a full blown relationship or date three.
Unknown
No.
Tamara Judge
So he can do whatever he wants.
Teddi Mellencamp
I mean, he. But you shouldn't lie about it if you're not hooking up.
Tamara Judge
So it's more about the lying. It's not the actual. The act of dry hunting.
Teddi Mellencamp
That's what I think it is. Then Whitney and Miranda meet up the park with their kids. Miranda is the one who brought Whitney into Mom Talk, so she thought it'd be best place for her to start with everyone. And I was like, you know what? I hate to be the bearer of bad news, Miranda. No one but me likes Whitney.
Tamara Judge
I don't, I don't like. I don't want to say I don't like Whitney. I just. There's something about her that kind of rubs me the wrong way. And I'm not saying that she shouldn't be on the show or anything like that, because I always like people that rub me the wrong. I'm sure I rub everybody the wrong way, but there's something about her that just doesn't mix with this group. I don't know what it is.
Teddi Mellencamp
Well, I think, you know, Whitney would love for Miranda to come back to Mom Talk so they can have a new villain, but it's not looking good for her that that's gonna happen.
Tamara Judge
Do you think that we're gonna see a different side of Whitney this Season.
Teddi Mellencamp
I think Whitney's probably gonna be the exact same.
Tamara Judge
What do you think about Whitney's husband?
Teddi Mellencamp
I think that they just had a baby and. Congratulations.
Tamara Judge
Oh, congratulations.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Tamara Judge
That's all you think about him. I can read between the lines.
Teddi Mellencamp
Then Macy, Michaela, Demi and Jesse go to a haunted house together. They do a lot of activities outside of eating, which is so nice.
Tamara Judge
Yeah. Do they ever show them at church?
Teddi Mellencamp
No, they can't show the church.
Tamara Judge
I was wondering. They show the outside of the building 24 times an episode.
Teddi Mellencamp
I know, but honestly. But then Mikayla's freaking out, but they make it through. Afterwards, Jesse and Demi get an alcoholic drink while Macy and Michaela stick to their non alcoholic sodas, which. I've had those sodas. I'm obsessed.
Tamara Judge
What are they?
Teddi Mellencamp
It's called swig and you can make it.
Tamara Judge
It's like a mocktail soda. No, it's just like.
Teddi Mellencamp
No, Swig has its own drive through with all different types of sodas that you can make any kind of formulation you want.
Tamara Judge
I'm a soda girl.
Teddi Mellencamp
Me neither.
Tamara Judge
I know. I mean, I just recently started drinking diet Coke, which I hate myself for it.
Teddi Mellencamp
Then Taylor's mom.
Tamara Judge
Breeze. Can we talk about Taylor's mom really quick?
Teddi Mellencamp
She wants to be a housewife.
Tamara Judge
Well, she suddenly has a facelift, a nose job, hair extensions and ozempic.
Teddi Mellencamp
And then says, I want to look like. And do I look younger than you?
Tamara Judge
Do I look younger? Yeah, like they are starting to look like the same person, clearly. And I don't know that she's on a zempic. I'm just putting it out there because everybody in the world's on a zempic. Obviously the first season has changed her.
Teddi Mellencamp
The first. No, she was kind of like this the first season, but now they've added.
Tamara Judge
She's morphing into her daughter.
Teddi Mellencamp
She's trying to morph into her daughter.
Tamara Judge
I know, I know. The first season she's like, no, Taylor, don't do this, Taylor, you're pissing me off. And now she's like, hey, Taylor, do I look like you? Hey.
Teddi Mellencamp
But I gotta tell you, I don't wanna hear the word clout ever again.
Tamara Judge
Okay?
Teddi Mellencamp
But then Taylor wants to walk away from her relationship with Dakota, but her mom thinks they should try to fight and work things out for the baby's sake. I mean, I hear what her mom is saying. I also feel like. Has her mom watched season one?
Tamara Judge
Her mom didn't want her to be with Dakota in the very beginning. Like her mom and her stepdad are like, no, like, you should not be with him. What are you doing? Why is he moving in? But then Taylor admits that she has daddy issues, and I think that that says a lot. Like, your picker's usually off.
Teddi Mellencamp
Well, I think she has a lot of shame, and I think when you have a lot of shame, sometimes you can feel insecure and you can do things that you wouldn't normally do. And now she's in over her head.
Tamara Judge
Yeah, but she's like, I met my dad when I was 4. And he's like, what's up, kid? I never saw him again.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah, that's sad. Then we see Dakota come by to move out all of his things. Dakota admits to deleting texts and hiding some truth. He breaks down in his confessional because he regrets what he's done. He wants to make this relationship work for their son. Like, did he go to the same school as Jack? On lines to say, then Jen and Zach are doing ketamine treatment together.
Tamara Judge
Okay.
Teddi Mellencamp
Alcohol. No. Ketamine. Yes.
Tamara Judge
Yes. Okay.
Unknown
Can we talk about that?
Tamara Judge
Is that something me and you need to do?
Teddi Mellencamp
Well, I mean, I think it's.
Tamara Judge
Did somebody just say yes?
Teddi Mellencamp
Someone said yes. Someone in the crowd said yes.
Tamara Judge
But they chose not to do couples therapy. But they're doing ketamine. And so what they do is because.
Teddi Mellencamp
They don't want to do the work on each.
Tamara Judge
But what does ketamine do to you?
Unknown
Take you back to when you fall out?
Teddi Mellencamp
Well, it deletes your past trauma, supposedly. I don't know.
Tamara Judge
They're trying to delete their past relationship.
Teddi Mellencamp
But it's gonna come back every single time, and we're gonna see it. I don't think Zach's changed. Just. I believe Zach's changed as much as I believe that Ben Affleck is his cousin.
Tamara Judge
I'm there with you.
Teddi Mellencamp
Then Miranda's hosting a happy hour at her house, complete with mocktails and a cheese board that says mom Talk. This is giving member when Denise had an ice sculpture at her house, and it was a diamond.
Tamara Judge
Diamond.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yes, ma' am.
Tamara Judge
I mean, and not to mention, there's enough cheese and croissants to feed, like, the whole state of Utah.
Teddi Mellencamp
Miranda claims her intention in wanting to rejoin Mom Talk is because she's a single mom and she misses the friendship she had. And she wants to get that bag.
Tamara Judge
She wants that bag.
Teddi Mellencamp
She wants that bag.
Tamara Judge
And Whitney, the villain, is just so happy. She didn't know they're.
Teddi Mellencamp
She's like, but either way, I love the show so much. I hope you guys are watching and will continue to recap the episodes soon.
