Hi, guys. Welcome to another episode of Two T's in a Pod with myself, Teddy Mellencamp and Tamara Judge. Teddy, how was your holiday, Tam?

[Tamara Judge]

It was good. I mean, it was pretty quiet. The kids came over. My mom was here. Well, we had like two Thanksgivings. So Sophia, now that she has a boyfriend, she spent Thanksgiving with him. So he came over the day before, and my mom was here, and Spencer came, and then we did it all over again the next day. Without Sophia?

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Yeah.

[Tamara Judge]

So she's like, mom, I really want to get us all together. Spencer hasn't met Nico yet. And I'm like, okay. And I'm like, when? She's like, when? Say, the day before Thanksgiving. And now I. Now I know what she was doing. She's like, well, his family really wants me over at his house. I'm like, just go.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Just go. It's fine. Just go. I know what you're doing. We. This isn't our first rodeo.

[Tamara Judge]

How was it? You're at your dad's house.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

At my dad's, it was great. I mean, but the flights were insane. Like, I've never been delayed so many times. Like, on the way. There we go, we took off. And then I was like, I think we're circling Catalina Island. Like, what are we doing?

[Tamara Judge]

Was that weather?

[Teddy Mellencamp]

No. Then all of a sudden, they're like, we're gonna have to do an emergency landing because one of the planes, like whatever this is called, that comes up and down. Hmm. Whatever, you know, like it was stuck.

[Tamara Judge]

Stabilizer or something.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Yeah, it was stuck down. So they're like, we're gonna need to land. So then we landed, got off the plane. We waited three hours, then got on another plane. Then that plane didn't have air.

[Tamara Judge]

Oh, stop it.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Yeah.

[Tamara Judge]

And you had all the kids.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

All the kids. Oh, but I had my nurse with me too, so. Yeah, it was the fact it was.

[Tamara Judge]

Like a 15 hour travel day.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Yeah, we got, we got into my dad's at 2 in the morning.

[Tamara Judge]

Dad can't just send you a private jet.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

No, dad can't. Apparently not.

[Tamara Judge]

Does dad private jet?

[Teddy Mellencamp]

It's. He himself does. Yeah.

[Tamara Judge]

Okay, dad.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

And then on the way back, it was similar type situation. We get on the plane and then all of a sudden it was a snowstorm. So then they had to defrost the plane. They gave us the option of getting off, but if we got off, we just had to stand on the tarmac.

[Tamara Judge]

Yeah. Not much to do.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Why would I want to do that? So then we just sat there for a bajillion hours. But other the flights, everything was great. It was good to see my sister.

[Tamara Judge]

I don't enjoy flying anymore.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Me neither. It's a pain in the ass every time.

[Tamara Judge]

It's a big pain in the ass. Always something. Always delays, cancellations.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

I know, it's, it's, it's getting to the point where I'm like, is it worth it? Like, I don't think I'm going to travel for Christmas now.

[Tamara Judge]

Yeah. Were you supposed to go back to your dad's house for Christmas?

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Well, my dad invited us to New York.

[Tamara Judge]

Oh, nice.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

But I just don't think I'm gonna do it because.

[Tamara Judge]

Ask him for a private chat.

Oh, that'll go for a while. Hey, dad, just, you know, I can't possibly come.

Well, when you're on your private jet, dad, just swing by LAX and just pick me up.

Yeah, well, he LAX from Indiana. I know.

How long's the flight?

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Um, the flight to Indiana is like four hours. Oh. Yeah.

[Tamara Judge]

So it's almost as long as going to New York.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Almost. Yep. But we made it safe and sound. And then yesterday I went in and had my scans done and I did immunotherapy and so that's where I am today.

[Tamara Judge]

So. Any update on the scans? Everything's still looking good.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

So this time they did like a scan of my whole body and they said there's things that lit up, but they believe them to be scar tissue, but they can't confirm it for sure. So.

[Tamara Judge]

So when you say lit up, are they in the. Do they light up in the places that you had tumors previously? Yes, different areas. Same area. Okay.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Same areas. So they can't say one way or another. But there's that everything's positive. Yeah, but I don't think I'm anywhere near stopping immunotherapy is what I kind of learned.

[Tamara Judge]

Like, what do you mean?

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Like, I think I'm, like, years into it. Like, I'm going to have to have years of immunotherapy. Why? Because they can't confirm 100% that it wouldn't come back or that, you know, all those things. So if it's keeping me at bay right now, they want to keep doing that.

[Tamara Judge]

Is there a certain amount of time they can continue to do that where your body can't take immunotherapy anymore?

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Well, that's what I asked. Because I said, why do I feel so terrible every time after? And they said, you have to imagine there it's attacking your body because it's thinking it's attacking cancer cells. So it's just your immune system is just so low.

[Tamara Judge]

So is it worse now? The more you do it, the worst side effects are?

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Well, I don't know. I won't really know until Thursday because normally it takes. Yesterday, I felt weird solely because I did all those scans, the ones where they, like, make you radioactive and, like, you feel like you're peeing your pants when you're in the thing, they inject you with whatever injection makes you hot. Like, am I peeing? But I mean, I feel. I still think I feel better, so. Than I normally do the day it's working. So, yeah. So I think maybe I'll just get more used to it as the time goes on.

[Tamara Judge]

Did they give you, like, it could be a year, it could be two years, it could be off and on the rest of your life?

[Teddy Mellencamp]

No, once.

[Tamara Judge]

I don't know if you know the answer to this, but once immunotherapy and radiation do its job, with the type of cancer you have, is there a strong likelihood that it can come back, or is it. They keep you on immunotherapy because they're afraid of that.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

But is there ever, like, a safe time where you can just go, okay.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

I think it's three years.

[Tamara Judge]

Three years without anything.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Without anything detected. I think it's three years, but I'm not. I'm not 100% sure. And, like, it's not some. When I go in and I ask, he's like, teddy, just focus on the fact that things are good right now.

[Tamara Judge]

Right, Right. But it's hard not to get ahead of yourself, you know, because originally it wasn't great news.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Yeah.

[Tamara Judge]

You know Like I remember the, the doctor telling us, well, normally it's like six to nine months, but immunotherapy's done wonderful. Were like, what? You know, so. And then it was like, oh, well, it's working. I'm that small percentage that's actually working. Like, it's all just such a roller coaster. I had a girl reach out to me that just this morning and she goes, I know you've gone through this, but how did you deal with like, my cousin was just diagnosed with stage four cancer. How did you deal with this? So I was just like giving her advice, like it's day to day and try to treat them like they're the same person and like there's a whole nother side to it that people don't understand. Like, you go through the worst part of it, but being an outsider, like, you don't know what you're supposed to do. What questions am I allowed to ask? Do you know, do I ask about how are you feeling? Or just like, what's up, sugar tits? You know, I like, what's up, sugar tits. Yeah, well, that I think. I'm sure everybody's different too, and I.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Think it just depends. But I mean, yesterday, I know, you know, our whole group chat was messaging like how the scans go, had whatever and I added nurse, my nurse to the chat so she could kind of give you guys the update. Because I knew I was going to be sleeping for like hours and hours and hours. But of course I went to sleep at like whatever it was 4pm and then I was up at 2 in the morning. I've been up since 2am I woke up at 3.

[Tamara Judge]

You should have called me. I've been going to bed, like literally laying in bed at 6 o'. Clock.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

I don't like when it gets dark so early.

[Tamara Judge]

I know, but it's like my whole mindset is different now. Like the obviously the end of the show was really difficult for me and it stayed with me for weeks and I just kept going like, why?

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Why?

[Tamara Judge]

Like, how did this happen? And then now I'm finally have put it out of my head and I'm like, I don't want to think about it. I don't even want to be on Instagram. I just. And then I'm like, well, geez, what am I going to do with all my time? I know. So I'm like, oh, okay, we'll go to bed at 7 o', clock, 6 o'. Clock.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

So nice though, right?

[Tamara Judge]

It is.

I mean, it's a lot nicer. Than the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which we've been watching. Holy crap.

[Tamara Judge]

I mean, they break the fourth wall so much that I feel like I'm just watching, like, behind the scenes of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

What was that show that was like.

Unreal, Is it called? Yes, yes. That was all the time.

I didn't even like Stasi's dress.

I didn't like any of the dresses.

I really didn't like any of them. I'm like. It was like, are we on Little House on the Prairie? Like, what are we doing here? And Jesse's so pissed off. She's like, I had the hot red dress and they made me change it $12 before. And you could tell, like, she hates her look. She hates it. She wants everybody to know she did not approve this look.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

She is like, I am not in charge of this look. I do not want this look. Jess is confusing me a little bit this season.

[Tamara Judge]

In what way?

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Just because I think like, okay, I mean, well, let's just break down the episode and then we'll kind of talk about it. Okay. So it starts out Jesse, Macy, Taylor and Michaela meet for brunch. Jesse asks what happened at Jordan's barbecue. Jesse says they're still separated and take turns staying at a hotel.

[Tamara Judge]

And the house, well, you're familiar with that. That's how you guys started out. I think that's kind of the new way of doing things.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

I think they're gonna be back together.

[Tamara Judge]

Yeah. So I'm at. Do you think they have a chance in hell or do you think it's just. I feel like everybody's relationship has fallen apart on this show. And you know what happens if you don't have a solid relationship and you go on a reality show and then, you know, somebody starts to become famous, it's all going to fall apart.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Yeah. And then, then you're going to realize that you want that person that's safe and blah, blah, blah. And I think that that's what's going to end up happening with them. I think she has.

[Tamara Judge]

Yeah, I probably. Well, I think time will tell. Who knows if it's going to happen for the long run. Do you think Taylor defends Jordan more than Jesse?

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Yeah, because I think some of the things that Jesse does are a little bit questionable. Then Whitney meets up with her two friends. The girls ask why she's filming again and Whitney says it's to audition for Dancing with the Stars.

[Tamara Judge]

She's all, forget sisterhood. I would come back for Dance with the Stars too.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

You gotta hand it to Whitney for showing up and being honest about her.

[Tamara Judge]

Attention so well, I'm just shocked that she was really. Do you think she really was gonna just walk away from the show? Because that's hard for girls that get a little. Or anybody that gets a little taste of fame and they're like, nah, it's not for me. Well, I, this is, this show is huge.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

This show is huge. It's everywhere. I mean the amount Lana Del Rey. Yeah.

[Tamara Judge]

Shane following me. By the way I checked.

I doubt she's following me.

I'm confused at what Whitney's look. She looks insane. Completely different than she does in person or in her confessionals or even with Dancing with the Stars.

Well, because I think this was before that when we're seeing her in scene as before Dancing with the Stars started.

And well, I think maybe some of her confessions little with her revenge body from working out so much.

Yeah, I agree. So I think that's why we were seeing this change.

I need to not see her with those two braids that come out of the back of her head again only.

I mean, considering Britney had a full blown mental breakdown and shaved her head in 2007 and then was in a mental hospital, I think it's a little insensitive.

I agree. Especially now that I am. I am up to date on all things Britney because I listened to the Kevin Federline book.

I don't know that I have. I feel like every event we go.

I didn't even notice Taylor's mom. But it's like one of those things. Do you think productions, like, no, we don't want to promote this Hydro Jug. We're not gonna do this. And then the girls. Because if the girls are all going to an event, like, why would they not be there? Why would they not be filming? That's when happens.

Because to me was there.

Well, how pissed off do you think production was when they found out that all the ladies were there, including Demi? I mean, they did a pretty good job of filming on our iPhones. And to me, going like this. Oh, yeah, with a Marciano. She is driving the air. She is driving me. But she's not doing herself any favors. She's really not. Like, at least try. Just try.

Just. And also, do you find it interesting we haven't seen her husband at all.

I mean, I think they are, but, like, it's weird.

I was kind of confused. So they go to these brand events. They do tick tocks as a group, and then they split the money.

I don't think they always split the money. I think sometimes they're so. I think, mom, talk it now, what I'm starting to get because they keep saying, like, you know, they needed or Whitney has to film hers for Stagecoach and blah, blah, blah. And this happens. I think that they all are together as a. As some sort of a group, and then the brands pick which person they want.

Can we also talk about. Do you think there was any issue because we haven't gotten to it yet. Do you think there was any animosity on who got chosen for Dancing Stars?

[Tamara Judge]

Well, did they show? Did. Did everybody interview or just girls that wanted it interviewed?

Well, we saw Whitney.

[Tamara Judge]

We saw Jen. Jen, yeah.

So only. Only the girls that were interested in it.

Yeah. Oh, and Jesse.

So all of them. So basically all of them.

Huh. Well, that lady, I believe, that was interviewing them also cast for Traitors. If I'm not mistaken, she casts for everything.

That's Dina Katz. Yeah, I. I mean, she is notorious, like, big, big time casting director. So does so many different shows.

[Tamara Judge]

Like, if I pull my phone up, I might have some or something with her in it, for sure.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

But then I wondered. Then I. This is. My mind goes all over the place because I'm like, okay, so they're interviewing for this. At what point Does Taylor get called into the Bachelor?

[Tamara Judge]

I don't know. These girls are getting. I think the Bachelor is more recent. This. Obviously, they filmed close to a year ago or eight months ago.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

True.

[Tamara Judge]

So it's more recent. I was just happy to see Devin the makeup artist working on some of the girls. I'm like, look at you, Devin. How did you get on that show? She's good friends with Chelsea and she's done my makeup before. She's really good.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Oh, she has. Well, they all little girl things.

[Tamara Judge]

Super cute.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Well, what about when the girls all arrive at the arcade from Miranda's birthday party, all dressed as her with the world's worst wigs?

[Tamara Judge]

I mean, at least she kept it real. She's like, I get dressed up all the time. She sounds like me. And, you know, we got dressed up. I had to get dressed up once this month. I can't do it again. So I just. I want. I'm wearing jeans and a crop top and I'm going to an arcade. What was it?

[Teddy Mellencamp]

I think it was like Lucky Strike or Buster.

[Tamara Judge]

Dave and Buster or something like that. Yeah, I thought it was cute.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

I thought it was cute. But then Michaela tells Jace she booked an EMDR appointment.

[Tamara Judge]

I did that on camera this year.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

You did?

[Tamara Judge]

I don't think they showed it, but I did mine with a light. I have a really hard time with emdr because you have to. You know, I have the light bar at where I go. And you go back and forth and back and forth. You're supposed to completely clear your mind. I cannot clear my mind. I can't do it. I think it worked for me one time, and I'm like, I just. I have to give up because I just. And I have paddles.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

I just give you more anxiety. Yeah. Yeah.

[Tamara Judge]

It makes me feel like, oh, shit, I got to think of something. Or I'm feeling. Because this is what I'm supposed to be doing. And there's 20 minutes, 20 seconds left, and if I don't say anything, I'm going to sound stupid. So that's what's going through my head instead of just focusing on the issue and putting everything else out.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Yeah. And then she's really hard to do. It's really hard to go because then she goes to her first appointment and the therapist suggests that she and Jace go to sex therapy.

[Tamara Judge]

Does Chase creepy out a little bit.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

He doesn't cream. Yeah, he just. I'm a little bit con. What I'm confused about in regards to this situation is like, we're. I get this, that there's like some sexual issues there because of her past and whatnot. But also she's pregnant right now.

[Tamara Judge]

I know.

Like nobody's. It could be.

And have you gone down the rabbit hole and read it about them?

Then everyone meets at Miranda's to have a conversation with Whitney. Whitney's planning on starting her own Montauk. And the girls start laughing at her.

Why would she want to start her own? She's already in this. She just needs to make nice with these girls. I felt like it was a little mean girlish for them to all laugh at her, but is what it is. The girls are determined to ice out Whitney for sure. Like, they don't want her anywhere near them.

They want to ice. They seem like they want to ice her out more than they want to ice out freaking to me. And that's crazy to me.

Well, I like Whitney. I really do. Honestly. I. I know this is not popular opinion, but out of all their tick tocks and Instagram, I love looking at her stuff.

I know, Me too.

You heard she's going to be on Broadway? She's. She's playing Roxy.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Yeah, no, I heard that.

Yeah. That's pretty impressive.

I mean, it's huge. She's really making something of this. Oh, okay. So back to Michaela. She was 16, but she said she lied about her age to him at first to date him.

And he was 21, right? 20. Something like that.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

I don't know, but I feel like. I feel like they're gonna be okay. I think just she's. She's pregnant and she's exhausted.

[Tamara Judge]

But I also think, like, relationships go up and down. But you know what she does have, like, she was. She started talking about. And we'll get into it, about her past and being, you know, molested as a child and stuff that has to leave long lasting scars on. On a woman or a man. And for her not to have dealt with It. And then being pregnant at 16 years old and starting a family that young, Like, I think she has a lot to work out.

I think so, too. And I think that's what. Remember when she met with us and she said, you know, there's a lot of things that I wasn't able to share yet. And now she is sharing it, and it's. It's. It's heartbreaking to watch.

Then also, like, I know they're young, but marriages go up and down. Sometimes you're banging like a screen door on a windy day, and other times you're like, I'll get you next month.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Yeah. And like, you know, especially when you're pregnant. Yeah, you're pregnant.

You have pregnant.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Yeah. Like, it's. Some people get all horned up. Horned up. But some people are like.

No, tired.

Tired.

Not just that she's pregnant. Like, she's really pregnant. And then she's got little kids. Like, it's a lot. Well, a lot of this seems like he seems like. Like he's understanding at this point. Until it gets a little bit worse.

Well, the date. We'll. We'll get into that once we get into episode seven, but that's a whole nother thing. But then the Mom Talk girls arrive in la. They see Marciano's post about being disinvited to the Hulu event. In an Instagram comment, Demi claims Marciano is a sexual predator. It does feel like Hulu is making a statement by disinviting Marciano after using him for the first half of filming the season.

But how do they make money off of this Mom Talk? How many followers do they have on TikTok?

But she had some valid points. She's like, okay, well, what you guys are posting about to me isn't very nice. And I'm just here trying to support her. Like you guys have pushed me and Demi out. Like I'm supporting her like you're supporting your girls. And they're caught. They're. I didn't feel that bad for her because the rest of them, because they both. They all do it to each other constantly. They're constantly talking about each other on social media.

Well, the one thing I could say about Whitney is no matter the circumstance, no matter the situation, she's going to make sure that she gets that content done.

And then back at the house, Jace and Michaela get into a fight. Michaela feels like there's guilt about their marriage and sexual intimacy. And I feel like we need more information on the backstory of their relationship. Like we need more information so that we can understand.

Where he's coming from.

Because right now I'm not understanding where he's coming from.

And then back in Utah, Jesse and Jordan talk about Taylor and Dakota's relationship. And then Jordan reveals that he talked to Dakota about a sexual relationship with Taylor's mom's friend.

Oh, it's Taylor's mom's friend. I couldn't figure out who it was. And then. Do you like how he did that? He's like, I'm going to tell her this because I'm going to score points with her about honesty. Well, he just wanted your friend under the bus.

I think he wanted to score points with her about honesty, but I also think he wanted some of the heat off of them. So if he caused drama somewhere else, then it goes somewhere else. Yeah, but, yeah, the show is all over the place. But it's three episodes that probably could have been condensed down to one.

It was they do like what, 10, 10, 11 episodes a season.

Yeah. And then we have the reunion.

So, I mean, they're probably already filming for season four right now, I would guess.

But I wonder if we're going to see the new Bachelor. The guy.
