Two T's in a pod with Teddy
Lisa Rinna
Mellencamp and Tamara Judge.
Tamara Judge
So now we are on our second part of the Lisa Rinna Twat Seat Seat.
Teddi Mellencamp
How does it feel to be in the Twat Seat.
Tamara Judge
You just won an award, by the way, on the twat seats.
Lisa Rinna
I did?
Tamara Judge
It's a really award.
Teddi Mellencamp
What did I win?
Lisa Rinna
You did. Oh, my God. I never win anything.
Tamara Judge
I mean, the twat seat is solely for our followers, so. But you should be happy to know that you. I've already forgotten what you've won.
Teddi Mellencamp
They want you back. They want you back.
Tamara Judge
Oh, yeah. You're the most wanted back.
Teddi Mellencamp
Most wanted back.
Tamara Judge
Yes.
Teddi Mellencamp
I say it all the time. I say it all the time.
Lisa Rinna
Come on. Are you kidding me? You know what? I do call someone in my book a twat?
Tamara Judge
You do?
Lisa Rinna
I call one person in my book a twat.
Tamara Judge
You'll have to read it.
Teddi Mellencamp
Call anybody a.
Lisa Rinna
No, just a twat. Just a twat.
Podcast Host/Announcer
Okay.
Lisa Rinna
There's one person in my book I call a twat, but you're going to have to read it to you.
Tamara Judge
But do I know her?
Lisa Rinna
You know her? Yeah.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah. Okay. Was she on your cast?
Lisa Rinna
No. Oh.
Tamara Judge
Oh, no.
Lisa Rinna
It's a surprise. Twat, actually. Sort of. Sort of. It was so fun to write that, though. For some reason I was like, I just want to call her a twat. And I did, and it worked.
Teddi Mellencamp
How long did it take you to write your book?
Lisa Rinna
It takes a long time. And it took a long time.
Teddi Mellencamp
Did you have help? Did you do it?
Lisa Rinna
I had help. I had a ghostwriter. Are you kidding?
Tamara Judge
So what is your thoughts on it? Well, you don't even watch Beverly Hills, so you don't even know about Amanda being.
Lisa Rinna
I know nothing. I haven't watched since the day I left. Okay.
Tamara Judge
So Amanda goes. Amanda's the new housewife.
Lisa Rinna
Okay. I've heard of her.
Tamara Judge
Which makes you like. It's beyond.
Lisa Rinna
I heard she's.
Tamara Judge
But she goes. Dorit was talking about having a ghostwriter. And she goes, why? You can't write your own book?
Lisa Rinna
No, I can't.
Teddi Mellencamp
Why, when you don't have a book?
Lisa Rinna
I'm not a good writer. No, I'm not. If I was a good writer, I'd write my own book.
Teddi Mellencamp
So how does it work with a ghostwriter? So you just give them, like, your thoughts?
Lisa Rinna
Yeah. I met with three people because I didn't really want to write the book. I wasn't really interested. And then everyone was like, you really should. I think it would be really good for you. Yada, yada, yada. And I was like, well, let me meet with three ghostwriters, and if I connect with one of them, I'll do it. Cause you don't wanna meet with too many. It's too overwhelming. So I met with three and I connected to dibs. And I thought they get my voice, you know, they're a fan. They know my whole career. And I just took.
Teddi Mellencamp
And that makes a difference.
Lisa Rinna
I took a risk and it really paid off.
Tamara Judge
And did you like the first time you got like your first set of book, like they did it?
Lisa Rinna
Yeah, and I had a great time doing it, so I knew that it was gonna be good.
Tamara Judge
How long did it take?
Lisa Rinna
It takes about six to eight months.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah, that's a long time. I keep telling Teddy she needs to write a book.
Lisa Rinna
Oh, yeah, you should. I think it'd be great for you. And I think it would also be
Teddi Mellencamp
cathartic because you have chronicles Therapeutic.
Lisa Rinna
Yeah, why not? Of course. You know, I'm very different than I was when I was writing the book. I have grown and evolved since then. So it's kind of nice now that it's coming out, I can look back on that time and say, wow, I have come a long way just from the time of writing the book.
Tamara Judge
And just so we know it's called you better believe I'm gonna talk about it. It's out February 24th.
Lisa Rinna
Do you remember when I said that you better believe I'm gonna talk about it?
Tamara Judge
Yes, I do Better Believe I'm gonna Talk about It. So I think I'm excited because I see you still talking to all housewives adjacent people. So you're not in too much trouble.
Lisa Rinna
Well, not yet. It hasn't come out yet. The book has not come out yet.
Teddi Mellencamp
Who do you think is going to be the most upset?
Lisa Rinna
Well, there's a handful that will not be happy, but they're already not happy with me. So does it really matter? No, but.
Teddi Mellencamp
No. Like family members or anything like that?
Lisa Rinna
No. No.
Teddi Mellencamp
So it would be mostly people in the industry.
Tamara Judge
Do you share about your daughters and stuff?
Lisa Rinna
I talk about Delilah's pandas.
Teddi Mellencamp
Okay.
Lisa Rinna
When she was really sick for 10 years, so.
Tamara Judge
Emily.
Lisa Rinna
I know, I know.
Teddi Mellencamp
Having that, I reached out to her. Oh, good.
Lisa Rinna
I didn't hear back. But I have lots of connections and advice for her.
Teddi Mellencamp
You're the second person I've talked to that said they've reached out and haven't heard back.
Lisa Rinna
Maybe she didn't get it. Or maybe she's not checking her DMs because she used to reach out or used to talk to me a lot.
Tamara Judge
Tell me she's too busy tiktoking.
Lisa Rinna
That's shady.
Teddi Mellencamp
That's shady.
Lisa Rinna
That was shady right there. Shady. Tell her that I Have a lot of information if she'd like it.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah, I'm sure she would love it.
Lisa Rinna
She's been through it.
Teddi Mellencamp
I mean, if I get a DM from Lisa Rinna, like, you answer right away.
Tamara Judge
She posted a picture of me yesterday. I reposted that in seconds.
Lisa Rinna
I was like, yes, answer everybody.
Teddi Mellencamp
In fact, I brought you a whole gift bag of products.
Lisa Rinna
Oh, yay. You know, I'm a big customer of hers. Yes, we are big customers of Veena. Can I say it?
Teddi Mellencamp
Yes.
Lisa Rinna
Vena, Vena, vena, vena, Vena. I take it every night.
Nancy Glass
Yeah.
Teddi Mellencamp
So I got you a couple of the gummies. I got you some of our new 10 milligram seltzers, which at nighttime, sometimes I just drink the seltzer because I
Lisa Rinna
don't drink alcohol too much anymore. Well, I do it at times, but not a lot, and I like that feeling. I need a little bit of a buzz on, but not too much.
Teddi Mellencamp
10 milligrams, it puts me to sleep. Sometimes I don't want to take a gummy. Sometimes I get sick of taking a gummy. So I just take a seltzer and I'm like, night, night time.
Lisa Rinna
Great.
Teddi Mellencamp
Night, night time. So I got it.
Lisa Rinna
I spend a lot of money with you, Tamara.
Teddi Mellencamp
Oh, I appreciate it.
Lisa Rinna
I do appreciate it.
Tamara Judge
We love your products. So how are Amelia and Delilah doing? I saw Delilah yesterday. She is so stunning, I can't even take it. And so kind. Like, she ran up to me when I was in. Like, it was cold yesterday.
Lisa Rinna
It was freezing. Oh, my God. Are you kidding? It was freezing.
Tamara Judge
It was freezing.
Teddi Mellencamp
Oh, I saw the pictures. You guys were where?
Lisa Rinna
In our backyard's backyard in this weather? Like, in between the rain.
Tamara Judge
But it was beautiful.
Teddi Mellencamp
So cold yesterday.
Lisa Rinna
It was beautiful. And we lucked out. It's. It started to rain at like 3:30, and so everyone ran in the house. It was really. It was really fun. The girls are great. I mean, blessed beyond, like. I'm so happy that they have turned out to be good human beings.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Lisa Rinna
Cause that's all you want.
Teddi Mellencamp
Where are they right now?
Lisa Rinna
One was in New York, One's here and one's in New York. Delilah's here, and Amelia lives in New York, but she's on a plane most of the time.
Teddi Mellencamp
For modeling.
Lisa Rinna
For modeling.
Special Agent Bradley Hall
Yeah.
Podcast Host/Announcer
Yeah.
Teddi Mellencamp
So she's all over the place.
Tamara Judge
But you've been doing a lot of modeling as well.
Special Agent Riegel
Yes.
Lisa Rinna
How did that all work out, Teddi? I have no idea. All I know is once I left Housewives, I got a call, like a Week later from my publicist. And he said, how would you feel about getting on a plane and going to Paris in four days?
Teddi Mellencamp
Twist my arm.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Lisa Rinna
I'm like, twist my arm. Yes. And I went and I sat at the Kenzo show, and I thought it was so fun. And then I said, well, why don't we just stay here and see maybe if some other shows come up? And I just went. Went to, like, four other shows. And that's how it happened.
Teddi Mellencamp
I mean, a lot of times Housewives leave and you don't really see them.
Tamara Judge
You never see them again.
Teddi Mellencamp
You never see them again. But you had a career for so long before Housewives.
Tamara Judge
I did, yes.
Teddi Mellencamp
And then you just didn't miss a step. You're like, I'm off.
Nancy Glass
Thank God.
Tamara Judge
I mean, it was. So Carrie made a speech about Rinna the other day, and he just was. The love that he has for her.
Teddi Mellencamp
And, like, well, you can tell he's been married forever.
Tamara Judge
But I think in the world of especially not one housewife being married in Beverly Hills.
Teddi Mellencamp
Right.
Tamara Judge
Like, he just really is proud of you.
Lisa Rinna
I know. It's so nice to have a mate who is. I mean, we're proud of each other. You know, I'm his biggest cheerleader. You know, I'm out there.
Teddi Mellencamp
You're best friends.
Lisa Rinna
Really nice.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah, that's nice.
Lisa Rinna
I mean, it's work. Listen, we have to work at it. You know, it's not easy all the time, but. That was a cute speech.
Teddi Mellencamp
Did you have a mourning period after leaving Housewives?
Lisa Rinna
Oh, yeah.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah, it was. It's rough, right?
Lisa Rinna
Oh, yeah. Because, you know, your identity is so wrapped up.
Amanda Knox
Yeah.
Lisa Rinna
For good. Or it's like you got better or
Teddi Mellencamp
worse out of the cool girls club. And then that you, like, you hear from no one. It's like crickets. It's like you have these production crews.
Lisa Rinna
Yeah.
Teddi Mellencamp
And, you know, everybody from Evolution talking to you all the time. Sally's always calling you, and all of a sudden it's like, hello? Hello.
Lisa Rinna
Yeah, it's me. It takes a minute.
Teddi Mellencamp
Hey, God, it's me.
Lisa Rinna
Yeah, it takes a minute. Definitely.
Teddi Mellencamp
And then what I did was I unfollowed the entire cast, and Eddie turned off Bravo. Like, we shut Bravo off from the show.
Lisa Rinna
I literally muted the entire Bravo universe.
Tamara Judge
Yes.
Lisa Rinna
I muted it. Not you. But, like, all the. What do you call them? All the sites that are Bravo fan sites.
Podcast Host/Announcer
Fan sites.
Lisa Rinna
Yeah. I had to. You have to really separate yourself from it. And that's the hard part, because it's everywhere, and that's why I didn't watch the show. I muted everything so that I could step away. And I remember when Eileen left the show and she did that, she said, it's the only way you can, like, get yourself back. And she's right, I think.
Teddi Mellencamp
Or just go off.
Tamara Judge
And I recently saw Eileen and she still kind of sticks by that.
Lisa Rinna
Does she?
Tamara Judge
Yeah, she's like, you know, I love. I don't have any anger or resentment towards the show, but, like, it's not like I watch it now or anything like that.
Lisa Rinna
Yeah. I think you really have to remove yourself from that, you know, hit of, like, heroin going into your arm.
Teddi Mellencamp
It's like a drug. It is.
Tamara Judge
Well, it's like when you have that shoot of energy, what is that called?
Lisa Rinna
Adrenaline.
Tamara Judge
Like an adrenaline rush.
Lisa Rinna
Of course it is. Exactly.
Teddi Mellencamp
Do you feel like, Teddi, you're over that now? I feel like. I think.
Lisa Rinna
But it took you a while too.
Tamara Judge
I think almost dying kind of jumped me out of it.
Teddi Mellencamp
Oh, Lord, here we go.
Lisa Rinna
Well, sometimes it takes that teddy.
Teddi Mellencamp
And then there's that.
Tamara Judge
But I think there was always a part of me that thought, like, I wasn't good enough.
Lisa Rinna
I know. And I felt bad about that with you. What you do, though, when you're ending
Tamara Judge
and, you know, we were a close group of friends, and so I. There was a part of me that thought I wasn't good enough. And then once.
Teddi Mellencamp
Well, the Internet didn't help you out either.
Tamara Judge
Yeah, I mean, that's beside the point.
Lisa Rinna
Yeah.
Tamara Judge
But, like, once all my medical stuff happened, I realized what's really important.
Lisa Rinna
That's right. And that's right.
Tamara Judge
It's for sure as hell not going and fighting on a housewife show.
Lisa Rinna
Exactly. Thank you. Amen. Yeah, that's right. We're all survivors.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yes.
Lisa Rinna
We're like housewives survivors right here. 3.
Teddi Mellencamp
There should be, like, a therapy called Housewife Survivor.
Lisa Rinna
Truly, because we're all trauma bonded. Yeah.
Tamara Judge
But there's been a lot of blurbs that have come out with. Come out about you, about your book. Is there anyone that's currently upset with you?
Lisa Rinna
Not currently, but there will be.
Tamara Judge
There will be. Who do you think will be the most upset?
Lisa Rinna
I mean, you know, the ones that
Teddi Mellencamp
I care about anyways.
Lisa Rinna
Yeah, well, the ones that deserve to be called out.
Tamara Judge
Can you explain to me this? You stated that you and Kathy were able to talk privately, but you feel like the two of you are in a good place now. But then there was something else you said in the book that made it seem like maybe not so well.
Lisa Rinna
No, I'm honest in the book with what happened, I felt that it was really important to mend that fence after it happened. And after I left the show, I sent her flowers because I didn't want to have to run into her and all the family members and have bad boogie.
Teddi Mellencamp
When did you send her flowers? Like, after the reunion?
Lisa Rinna
June. So January I left the show. So six months later, I was going off to do American Horror Stories with Ryan Murphy, and I just thought to myself, I cannot have any bad baggage. I gotta fix it. Which I've done with everybody that I ever had.
Tamara Judge
Did they have carnations in it?
Lisa Rinna
No, I don't believe so. I think it was really nice. And it was all white.
Teddi Mellencamp
Why did you ask that?
Tamara Judge
Because whenever people put baby's breath or carnations and flowers, they're cheap.
Lisa Rinna
Yeah. No, no, I spent money.
Teddi Mellencamp
Does she look like she's cheap?
Lisa Rinna
No, I spent money.
Teddi Mellencamp
She's Lisa fucking Rinna.
Lisa Rinna
I spent money. And this is what's interesting. You know, I didn't talk about it, but Kathy had mentioned that I had done that, and she called me right away. But she had. I had put down in my card that I wrote one number off on my phone, so she was calling a different number.
Teddi Mellencamp
That's so Kathy, isn't it?
Lisa Rinna
So, like, wild. And since somehow she gets ahold of someone that reaches me and says, kathy doesn't have your number, but she wants to call you anyway, I get it to her. She calls me right away and we have a. You know, we have a good call for 20 minutes, and we really agreed to, like, bury the hatchet and move on. Cause, you know, I knew Kathy for 30 years. I had a different connection to her. And I thought, I just don't need this. We don't need this.
Tamara Judge
I don't need to feel this way. There's no point to feel this way anymore.
Lisa Rinna
Exactly. And so I'm very happy that I did that. You know, the book may bring up a little bit, but I don't think so because I did that after I wrote the book or while I was writing the book. So I just basically, you know, the book is really about my side of the story, how I feel, what my opinion is.
Teddi Mellencamp
Are you the first one to write a book about your experience on the show?
Lisa Rinna
God, I don't know. Am I?
Teddi Mellencamp
I think you are.
Tamara Judge
I think Bethany did.
Teddi Mellencamp
Oh, Bethany's Bethany.
Tamara Judge
I mean, I feel like Bethany does everything she does the most.
Lisa Rinna
I just don't know. I think you are. I don't know. It'll be interesting to see.
Tamara Judge
It's definitely gonna be a New York Times bestseller.
Lisa Rinna
Oh, thank you.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yes, yes, I have no doubt. Talk about your book tour.
Lisa Rinna
Okay.
Teddi Mellencamp
So where are you going? Where are you gonna be so people can.
Lisa Rinna
It's big. It's just la. New York.
Teddi Mellencamp
That's fine.
Lisa Rinna
It's not so fancy anymore. But I have three. Three signings in New York. I've got one here at the Grove, so there's like four signings. Kathy Griffin's gonna do the hosting of the one on Saturday. Hilarious.
Tamara Judge
That's amazing.
Lisa Rinna
And then Gary's gonna do the one in New York.
Tamara Judge
Oh, Gary Jannetti.
Lisa Rinna
Gary Janetti.
Tamara Judge
Who? We love him.
Teddi Mellencamp
We love, love him. Now, you mentioned in the book that somebody recently had reached out to you about leaving the show. Leaving the show.
Tamara Judge
Leaving the show.
Teddi Mellencamp
Somebody getting a pay cut. Getting a pay cut.
Lisa Rinna
Yeah.
Teddi Mellencamp
And the network said they'd go broke.
Lisa Rinna
Yeah.
Tamara Judge
And then he decided. And they decided to come back.
Lisa Rinna
No, I don't say.
Teddi Mellencamp
Oh, you don't say who?
Tamara Judge
She doesn't say who does?
Lisa Rinna
No.
Teddi Mellencamp
Okay.
Tamara Judge
But then the person decides to come back to the show anyway.
Lisa Rinna
Yeah.
Tamara Judge
Can I ask you this?
Lisa Rinna
Yeah.
Tamara Judge
Would you say that the person was in the Fox Force Five?
Lisa Rinna
I'm not going to answer that.
Teddi Mellencamp
Well, they would have to be. There's only six people on the cast. What are you doing?
Tamara Judge
I mean, it would either be somebody from the Fox Force 5 or Denise Camille, because that was who was on that season. But it was. Was it that. The season after that?
Lisa Rinna
What's.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah. What season was it?
Lisa Rinna
Might have been a couple seasons. That's what I figured might have happened a couple times.
Tamara Judge
Have you spoken to Garcelle at all?
Lisa Rinna
No, never.
Tamara Judge
What do you think about what she did to Sutton and just never speaking to her again? Because I can say this about you. The day that I got the boot, like, you were calling me. You're at my house, like you were my true friend.
Lisa Rinna
I adore, you know, I love you. And I didn't make any housewife fake friends. I didn't. You know, that's not the game that I played.
Teddi Mellencamp
Don't get me started on that.
Lisa Rinna
The game that I play. So listen, I ruined all the friendships that I had beforehand. I don't have those anymore. But I have no fake friends from the show. And that's the truth.
Tamara Judge
Yeah. And it can have. Definitely.
Teddi Mellencamp
That's what we miss about you, that you call out the fakeness of the show and the people that are on the show. Like, you're the one and nobody's doing
Lisa Rinna
that well because everyone's scared. And I never been scared. You're not.
Tamara Judge
You're a good listener too.
Lisa Rinna
Oh, thank you.
Tamara Judge
So I think where a lot of housewives fail is they're, they're thinking in their head what they're gonna say next all the time. Right?
Lisa Rinna
You're right.
Tamara Judge
And so then they're not listening. So then whatever they say doesn't pack that punch.
Lisa Rinna
Right. And I'm right there listening to you. And then if someone says something that I just think is false, I'm like, no, I don't agree with that or whatever. I never had any fear of, you know, going on Twitter and finding out like, what the audience is saying and trying to go with that. Like, I didn't do any of that.
Teddi Mellencamp
A lot of housewives do that. I know they'll have a bad season and they go back and they just perform to the comment section of Twitter or Instagram.
Lisa Rinna
I rather slip my wrists than do this.
Teddi Mellencamp
I'm the same way.
Tamara Judge
Oh, and I hate that we have to bring her up, but we do.
Lisa Rinna
Okay, fine, do it.
Tamara Judge
The she has three initials.
Lisa Rinna
Oh yeah.

This is Special Agent Riegel, Special Agent Bradley Hall.
Special Agent Bradley Hall
This MSS officer has no idea the US Government is onto him. But the FBI has his chats, texts, emails, even his personal diary. Hear how they got it on the Sixth Bureau podcast.
Special Agent Riegel
I now have several terabytes of an MSS officer. No doubt, no question of his life. And that's a unicorn.
Lisa Rinna
No one had ever seen anything like that. It was unbelievable.
Special Agent Riegel
This is a story of the inner workings of the MSS and how one man's ambition and mistakes Opened its vault of secrets.
Special Agent Bradley Hall
Listen to the 6th Bureau on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Tamara Judge
Lvp.
Lisa Rinna
Mm.
Tamara Judge
You have some things to say about her in the book.
Lisa Rinna
I do. I'm very honest about everything I feel in that book. Yeah.
Tamara Judge
Is there any little tidbits you can give us for those that want to.
Lisa Rinna
Well, Teddy, I talk about exactly what happened during Doggy Gate puppygate. I talk about the time that we went to the hotel with all the producers to figure out, like, what's going on, because we're all mad that we're basically driving a story for a pilot for her dog show.
Tamara Judge
Oh, yeah.
Teddi Mellencamp
Remember, that would be frustrating.
Lisa Rinna
I tell a story about the producers sitting at the table, by the way,
Tamara Judge
where all those guys, now, a lot
Lisa Rinna
of them are gone. I mean, Baskin's the only one left.
Tamara Judge
Yeah, but, like, the dog show guys.
Lisa Rinna
Oh, long gone.
Special Agent Bradley Hall
Gone.
Lisa Rinna
Long gone. I mean, it was a failure anyway. The show, you know, it was on for two seconds. But I'll never forget, we're sitting at that table, and I look the producers right in the eye and I say, you are making a pilot. We're driving a pilot for her.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Lisa Rinna
And they were like, absolutely not. We are not. They lied right in my eyes. And Erica will always say, I remember you looking down at your feet, and you're just, like, meaning me trying to figure out, like, how to deal with this because you know that they are lying right to you.
Nancy Glass
Yeah.
Lisa Rinna
That's the worst. Yeah. I tell that story.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah. Now you say you don't get along with Virgos.
Lisa Rinna
Not really.
Tamara Judge
Guess what Tamara is.
Lisa Rinna
Are you Virgo?
Teddi Mellencamp
Well,
Tamara Judge
well.
Teddi Mellencamp
Same birthday as Camille.
Tamara Judge
They're scary.
Lisa Rinna
I don't get along.
Teddi Mellencamp
I have the same birthday as Camille, and the same birthday as.
Tamara Judge
These aren't things to brag about.
Teddi Mellencamp
Well, just listen.
Lisa Rinna
Lala.
Teddi Mellencamp
Same birthday as Lala.
Lisa Rinna
Oh, I like Lala.
Teddi Mellencamp
And then there's another Miami, I think, Housewife.
Lisa Rinna
All right, well, we'd have to, like, see, because I don't normally get along very well. Also, Rob Rauch is a Virgo. I just found out. I get along with him, but he did stab me in the back. Yeah. Now Virgos and Cancers cause I'm a Cancer. The Virgos on Housewives I did not get along with. How about we just keep it to that?
Tamara Judge
Because let's go through some past Virgos on Housewives. We've got Kim Richards.
Teddi Mellencamp
Okay, I'm nothing like Kim Richards.
Lisa Rinna
We've got Camille.
Tamara Judge
Camille.
Teddi Mellencamp
I'm nothing like Camille.
Lisa Rinna
Lvp.
Tamara Judge
Lvp.
Teddi Mellencamp
Really?
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Lisa Rinna
And who else? There's another one.
Tamara Judge
Was it Denise?
Lisa Rinna
Denise, probably, yeah.
Tamara Judge
Denise Richards, I think.
Lisa Rinna
And Garcelle's probably. I don't know.
Teddi Mellencamp
Garcelle's probably.
Lisa Rinna
She's Sutton. Oh, and Sutton, I think Sutton.
Teddi Mellencamp
Sutton is Virgo.
Lisa Rinna
Yeah. Yeah. So there you go.
Nancy Glass
Oh, great.
Lisa Rinna
I think that lines up great.
Tamara Judge
It lines up.
Lisa Rinna
I'm still good with you though, Tamara.
Tamara Judge
I know.
Teddi Mellencamp
I'm good.
Tamara Judge
We'll ruin that by the end of this episode.
Special Agent Riegel
No.
Tamara Judge
What are your thoughts on all these separations on the show?
Lisa Rinna
I think it's so sad.
Teddi Mellencamp
I mean, what about Kyle and Mauricio in particular?
Lisa Rinna
Devastating, I think to me it's sad because, you know, you know them as this couple and it's always sad. Cause I think, you know, divorce is one of the hardest things to ever go through.
Teddi Mellencamp
I think they're doing a good job for doing a job.
Lisa Rinna
I do too.
Special Agent Bradley Hall
Yeah.
Teddi Mellencamp
It's just like, are you getting divorced or you're not getting divorced? I think that's what most people want,
Tamara Judge
like, but I think it takes people time. I mean.
Lisa Rinna
Oh, no.
Teddi Mellencamp
Oh, no. If I see my soon to be ex out, like humping everybody. Soon to be ex. No, but I'm just saying, like, she sees Mauricio out with all these young girls and legs wrapped around his waist, I think that'd be enough for me to say, yeah, bye, bye.
Lisa Rinna
Same with me.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah, I wouldn't be able to handle that.
Lisa Rinna
But everybody has their own, you know, way.
Tamara Judge
I mean, I still live pretty much live in the same house with my ex and I see him every day.
Teddi Mellencamp
Your situation's a little different.
Lisa Rinna
Yeah.
Tamara Judge
Yeah. But it's still.
Lisa Rinna
It's odd.
Tamara Judge
But what about how I've never seen a housewife say that they loved their husband more and that's saying a lot saying to you than Dorit and pk.
Lisa Rinna
Yeah, we've never.
Tamara Judge
And we'd heard it out for hours.
Lisa Rinna
We did. Well, sometimes thou protest too much.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
Lisa Rinna
I think that's kind of where that
Teddi Mellencamp
it's always the ones that are constantly posting lovey dovey pictures all over social media and saying how great the relationship is. I just go, yeah, right, yeah, talk to me in five years.
Lisa Rinna
Most, as Vicki would say, yeah, most of the people that we know that did that are now divorced.
Tamara Judge
Would you say there was ever a tough part in your relationship because of the show?
Lisa Rinna
No, no, never does.
Tamara Judge
How much does Harry actually ask you about the show?
Lisa Rinna
Oh, he was so involved. He was so Great. Because, you know, he was studying to be a psychologist when he was in college. So he has a real kind of vast knowledge of people's psychosis and such. So he was fascinated by the whole thing and watched every show with me and would help me through it. And he was really quite amazing, I have to say. I don't think I could have done it without him.
Teddi Mellencamp
He didn't love being on the camera, though, right?
Lisa Rinna
No. You know, I made a deal with Bravo out of the gate because, you know, I never talked about it, but I wasn't going to let this show ruin his acting career.
Amanda Knox
Right.
Lisa Rinna
I mean, he was an actor. He had his own career. Right. And, you know, at the time I talked to Sherry Levine, I had to call. I had to call the bigwig and say, listen, Sherry, here's the deal. I have to protect my husband. I'm happy to give him to you three times a year.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Lisa Rinna
No big parties, little spurts. And they. They agreed to that.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Lisa Rinna
And that's how it works.
Tamara Judge
And it. And it was enough. Cuz you talked about him enough. We always felt like we knew Harry Hamlin. Yeah.
Lisa Rinna
Because I'm always talking about him.
Special Agent Bradley Hall
Yeah.
Lisa Rinna
But it was plenty. Because I think any more would have caused toxicity.
Tamara Judge
Because then all of a sudden, he's working for you.
Lisa Rinna
That's right.
Tamara Judge
Right.
Lisa Rinna
And he's going to these parties and the, you know, women are fighting and
Tamara Judge
whatnot, and you're ditching him.
Teddi Mellencamp
And he's like, get me the fuck out of here.
Lisa Rinna
I would not do that to Harry Hamlin. He's too good for that.
Tamara Judge
And that, like, you would not go and then ditch to come fight with.
Lisa Rinna
Are you kidding me?
Podcast Host/Announcer
No.
Lisa Rinna
And that I said right out, I said, I'll give you. We'll give you home things. We'll give you three moments. And I'm kind of surprised they agreed to it, but I think they really wanted Harry on the show.
Tamara Judge
I think they also really wanted you on the show.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah, they wanted you on the show. I think nothing good comes out of the men getting involved on the shows ever.
Tamara Judge
Do you have a biggest regret?
Lisa Rinna
I do. The only thing I do regret, and I don't regret much, the whole Yolanda going after her sickness and whatnot. That should have never happened. Yeah, never.
Teddi Mellencamp
What made you want to do that?
Lisa Rinna
Well, I didn't really want to. I was.
Teddi Mellencamp
What did you do with that?
Tamara Judge
Was that right after your mom? No, that was.
Lisa Rinna
No, no, no. That was in the first. Second year. Oh, second year when I was on. It was really driven by lvp. And that's why you're still on the web. Yeah, yeah, it was, it was driven by her.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Lisa Rinna
And you know, Teddy and I were real good soldiers and I was a very good soldier at that point and I would do what needed to be done. I take responsibility for it because I did it, but I wouldn't have done it. I wouldn't have come up with it on my own.
Tamara Judge
Yeah, yeah.

Amanda Knox
But what if we didn't get the whole story?
Lisa Rinna
The moment you look at the whole picture, the case collapses.

Tamara Judge
Now we've talked about it before because when I got myself into Puppygate once I realized I got myself in too deep. I went to Rinna and I was like, what do I do?
Teddi Mellencamp
What truly happened with Puppygate? Like what? Just bullet points.
Lisa Rinna
Like what?
Teddi Mellencamp
Somebody reached out to you?
Tamara Judge
LVP and her people called and told me this story about Dorit and the dog.
Teddi Mellencamp
So you would bring it up?
Tamara Judge
So I would bring it up. But they wanted me to bring it up at the dog place so the
Teddi Mellencamp
dog place would be shown.
Tamara Judge
So the dog place would be shown. And I did.
Teddi Mellencamp
I just.
Tamara Judge
I did. And then this is when I knew I had been had. She looked at me and said, teddy, please don't talk about this.
Teddi Mellencamp
I've had that happen to me.
Tamara Judge
And that was when I was like, I cannot believe I just fell for like. She went so over the top to, like, shocked at, like, my behavior that I would even speak.
Teddi Mellencamp
That's the type of housewife I cannot tolerate. I've had that happen to me before. Go bring this up. Bring this up. And then when I bring it up, they're like, oh, my God. Why would you say that?
Lisa Rinna
Yeah, it's something.
Teddi Mellencamp
And I'm like, you just use me.
Lisa Rinna
It's pretty sick. Shit.
Teddi Mellencamp
It's sick.
Lisa Rinna
So I was. I was able to really talk to Teddi about it because I'd been through it, and I was like, girl, this is what's happening to you. And you got to stop now.
Teddi Mellencamp
Was that your last season on the show?
Tamara Judge
No, next season I was pregnant, which might as well.
Teddi Mellencamp
No one ever gets pregnant on the shows.
Tamara Judge
Yeah, yeah.
Lisa Rinna
Or in grief after you've lost a. Grief is a parent.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Lisa Rinna
No.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Teddi Mellencamp
I was sad last year and I got my fucking ass handed.
Lisa Rinna
Yeah, you shouldn't be on the show. You should take a break.
Tamara Judge
Yeah. And what would you say was your best year and what would you say was your worst year?
Lisa Rinna
There was a year that I had basically said, I'm going to have fun this year. Don't come to me. Don't make me do anything. And they were like, you know what? We're gonna give her a break. Because she literally had Amsterdam and all this other stuff. So that was my most fun year, was that I also liked the year, the Provence year. That was fun.
Tamara Judge
We had so much fun that Provence year.
Lisa Rinna
That was the greatest year.
Tamara Judge
Were you making fun of me and Kyle for coming at Erica for nothing?
Lisa Rinna
Hilarious.
Tamara Judge
Like, we were hammered and we're like, listen, Erica, we think you don't like us that much. Like, we had nothing to say.
Lisa Rinna
Funny. Tequila, Teddy.
Tamara Judge
Like, we had not one thing to Erica. We think you don't like us because you wear your sunglasses at breakfast.
Lisa Rinna
And we were like, oh, my God, you guys. I know. We have to make a show. That year was fun. My worst year was my last year.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Tamara Judge
Yeah.
Lisa Rinna
It just was. I should not have done that year. I should have taken a break, come back the next year.
Tamara Judge
Was there a moment where you could have taken a break? Like, were you a negotiate, like.
Lisa Rinna
No, I was fully in contract and Mexico trip happened three days after my mom died. Yeah, like, that was insane. Somebody should have said, you know what? Take a. Take a week, take two weeks.
Teddi Mellencamp
And you probably felt obligated to go, right?
Lisa Rinna
Of course. I'm a. I'm a worker bee. I was like, I have a contract. And I knew that my mom would have said to me or would say to me, you go and you go to work, you do this. And so I had that in my head. But in hindsight, you weren't ready. You were grieving. Oh, God, I was in shock. I was great. Like, I was so.
Teddi Mellencamp
But don't you feel like when you're in that place, in that position, you get the worst freaking edit ever?
Lisa Rinna
That's what I got.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah, it's like when you are.
Lisa Rinna
I became low, villain, lowest. Yeah, they're like.
Tamara Judge
Because when you're sad, sometimes you can be mean.
Teddi Mellencamp
Don't judge me when I'm sad. Yeah, don't not judge me.
Tamara Judge
Sometimes when I'm sad, I can say really mean things that I don't mean.
Lisa Rinna
And when you're in grief, you are angry. That's the first emotion that comes out. And I will say that you know that when you're at your lowest, that is when they come. The sharks come. And they had been waiting. I mean, I had a good seven year run and those sharks were waiting. And the minute I went down and I was vulnerable, they hit and there was blood in the water and they fucking devoured me. And you know what? That's what happened.
Teddi Mellencamp
And when the fans jump on top of all that and then the death threats and all the things and then you're like, I'm out.
Lisa Rinna
And there you go. That is the trajectory of what happened right there. And you're like, life's too short.
Teddi Mellencamp
I saw it, I've lived it.
Lisa Rinna
I know. And you go, life's too short. I'm out. Yeah, I'm out.
Tamara Judge
Is there days you miss it?
Lisa Rinna
Never. I've not ever missed it because I still see you guys, the people I love, I see and talk to. So I have never missed the show. Not once. Not once. Because I mean, I worked so much beforehand. It's not like I go, oh my God. That was the be all and end all shows. Every show that ends. I always miss the people, but I don't miss the show necessarily.
Tamara Judge
But you've also been busy since.
Lisa Rinna
Yeah, I have.
Tamara Judge
And that's something we've talked about before. A lot of people. You end the show and that kind of your life ends. Other than like.
Teddi Mellencamp
But somehow some people weren't somebody before. Housewives. Right, right.
Tamara Judge
But like Rina has developed herself into like five different people since.
Lisa Rinna
Thank God. You know, thank God. Because you don't know how it's going to go. You know, you're a housewife, you were there for eight years, but you are an Actor. But you don't know if anyone's gonna take you seriously. So it's quite a crapshoot. And you just have to have faith. Thank God I didn't chicken out.
Tamara Judge
Was there a second where you thought, I'm gonna go back?
Lisa Rinna
Yeah, of course. You have moments of like, what am I gonna do? I don't have a paycheck. Oh, my God. And, you know, I almost did it at the reunion. I almost said while I was sitting there, you know what, guys? Thank you so much. I'm gonna go. But I chickened out to do that.
Teddi Mellencamp
I thought about it.
Lisa Rinna
I was ready. So you thought about that? Yeah, I was like, it's a big
Teddi Mellencamp
step like that when you do it there. That's the end.
Lisa Rinna
You do it. You're done.
Tamara Judge
It.
Teddi Mellencamp
There's no second guessing. It's done.
Lisa Rinna
But you've thought of it, too.
Teddi Mellencamp
Well, I've had some bad years, and sometimes, like, the emotional toll it takes on you.
Lisa Rinna
I know.
Teddi Mellencamp
So, yeah. And with social media, it's brutal.
Lisa Rinna
So much worse.
Special Agent Riegel
And then.
Tamara Judge
I mean, no offense, but both of you like to fight back a little bit on social media.
Nancy Glass
Really?
Teddi Mellencamp
You think I don't so much anymore.
Lisa Rinna
I don't either. Thank God.
Tamara Judge
But you did. There was a time where you did.
Lisa Rinna
During that time, I was a fucking mess. That's how I was acting out. I acted out online. Like, how stupid is that? But that's what I did.
Teddi Mellencamp
You live and learn, though.
Lisa Rinna
But, yeah, I have learned. But listen, if I need to, it's in my back pocket. Like with Colton. I just took my gun out and did one shot.
Teddi Mellencamp
It felt so good.
Lisa Rinna
I was like, I still have it.
Tamara Judge
You're like, I could go back and do this anytime.
Lisa Rinna
No, it's really. It's too easy.
Tamara Judge
And then before we close out, is there, like, any little sneak peeks you want to give us that we need to make sure that we don't miss in the book?
Lisa Rinna
Well, find out who I call twat.
Teddi Mellencamp
Oh, I definitely want to.
Tamara Judge
I need to know.
Lisa Rinna
Let me think. What would be the most surprising thing for you to read about me? Because you guys know a lot about me. I think when you read about my time on Days of Our Lives and, like, what happened there, I think there's some stuff there that people don't know about that I'm talking about.
Tamara Judge
Do you talk about your Jazzercising?
Lisa Rinna
I think I do. Yeah. I think I do. I don't remember, but I think I do. Yeah.
Tamara Judge
Because before Rinna did anything, she was like, a Jazzerciser.
Lisa Rinna
I know.
Teddi Mellencamp
I've seen the videos.
Lisa Rinna
I taught aerobics at Richard Simmons. Do you know this? Yes, I talk about that. Yeah. Oh, yeah.
Teddi Mellencamp
I still remember. I think it was maybe 2000, before my daughter was born. Maybe 2000. Two or three. You had a store, Belgrade. I bought. I was so obsessed with you that you had a reality show at that time, too, right?
Lisa Rinna
Harry loves Lisa for like, I bought a Von Dutch. Oh, yeah. You didn't know this?
Tamara Judge
Yes. No.
Lisa Rinna
Oh, you'll read the book and know about it. Yeah. For like, six episodes on TV land. Yes. Yeah, exactly. I bought.
Teddi Mellencamp
I bought a Von Dutch hat from your store. I was. Yes.
Lisa Rinna
Von Dutch was so hot at that time.
Teddi Mellencamp
So hot.
Lisa Rinna
Do you still have it?
Teddi Mellencamp
I don't have it, but I do have a new one.
Tamara Judge
I think I heard Von Datches coming back. Even though their documentary was.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah, there was a whole thing with your lips. Didn't you do surgery on your lips?
Lisa Rinna
Did you remove it? I had the silicone removed, and they showed it on the show. Like, that show is a disaster.
Teddi Mellencamp
That was probably, like, one of the first reality shows I really watched. Really? Yeah.
Tamara Judge
Wow.
Lisa Rinna
You're like one of five people who watched it.
Teddi Mellencamp
Would you do a reality show with your family now?
Lisa Rinna
I don't think so. I just don't. You know, people have come to us. A lot of people have come to us. And the girls are too busy, first of all. And I just don't have a desire to do reality.
Teddi Mellencamp
Would you do any other reality show?
Lisa Rinna
Yeah, probably.
Teddi Mellencamp
Competition show again?
Lisa Rinna
I mean, probably.
Teddi Mellencamp
Would you do special forces?
Lisa Rinna
No, that I would not do.
Tamara Judge
See, I would love to.
Teddi Mellencamp
That's a deal breaker for me.
Lisa Rinna
Me, too. Absolutely.
Teddi Mellencamp
No. I'm too old. I don't need to break anything.
Lisa Rinna
I was too old to do traders. Really? They should have been checking Dorinda and mine.
Teddi Mellencamp
Our blood pressure.
Lisa Rinna
I said that. I'm like, why is nobody checking our blood pressure and our oxygen levels? Like, Rob is 26, and we are not.
Teddi Mellencamp
I need a heart monitor, please.
Lisa Rinna
Those boys are running up the hill. You've got Colton, who's a football player. You've got the Olympic athletes. You got all the boys. And here's me, Dorinda, and Candace. Like, it's ridiculous.
Tamara Judge
Throwing out rocks even.
Lisa Rinna
Come on.
Teddi Mellencamp
I remember four days with and being so sick. I thought I was gonna be on a ventilator. And they're like, okay, if you don't come back tomorrow, we're gonna have to send you home. So I'm like, I can do this. Remember laying on the bottom of the shower and going, I can do this. I can do this. Then I had to run.
Lisa Rinna
No, I had to run. No, I couldn't get sick. I could not. I got sick the day I was banished. I got sick as a dog because Steven was sick in the castle, and I thought, yeah, Stephen was sick.
Tamara Judge
Do we love Stephen?
Nancy Glass
Oh, we love him.
Lisa Rinna
Oh, we love him because I loved
Tamara Judge
him on we love him.
Lisa Rinna
But he did get sick. And so my last night, I started to get sick, and then I was so sick for, like, a week. Oh, my God.
Tamara Judge
Well, thanks for tuning in to another episode of the Twats. We appreciate you guys.
Lisa Rinna
