I'm still in Rhode island, you know, just hanging out. I'm actually supposed to go meet a senator because she passed a law in Rhode island recognizing menopause in the workplace. So when you go to work and you're all fucking crazy flashes and crazy flashes crazy. Then you should be given some time or some grace. And I want to go shake her hand.

Yeah. Well, that's great that you're going. I can't wait to hear more information about that.

[Dolores Catania]

Yeah. I want to thank her. Young girl. She's in her late 30s. And, you know, because Perry. Menopause starts at 35.

Yeah. I think I'm in either Perry or real.

[Dolores Catania]

It's real, girl. It's all real.

Oh, my gosh. Well, Tam is going to be. So this is just a little housewife headline. Tam is going to be so upset that Karen Huger came out and she was glammed. I think she was glammed. I think she was glammed. I mean, she looked hot.

Would she do get glammed in the car? Because, you know, you. You go from the gate opens and you get into the car with whoever's, you know, I did.

Was Theresa Express. When she was leaving to go out, did they. Did they film that? Did they get pictures of that? I don't remember. So long ago.

[Dolores Catania]

No. You know, her lawyer picked her up, so I think it was her lawyer that. But she went right home to film. It was the. Remember, it was the first time the girls were seeing her after a year not seeing her, but being able to. She's home. She didn't tell them she was coming home. Oh, God. Even thinking about it was crazy.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Yeah. Nobody. For Karen Huger, they had, like, the cameras. You could see the cameras in these paparazzi pics. You could see her getting into the car, waving.

[Dolores Catania]

Listen, we've seen her on her worst. Yeah, I don't think what we saw, Teddy. Well, we saw that day on that video. You can do all the glam she wants because I will never get that out of my. I can't unsee that.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

That's true. That is very true.

[Dolores Catania]

Glam it up, because I'm still gonna see you and saying the things that you said. That made me laugh for five months. I love five months.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

I thought you were gonna say five minutes. Nope. Five months.

Five months. And I still will. I'll still watch it if it comes up. If the feed comes up somewhere, which it should. I'm still gonna watch it.

Well, now that we've talked about it, it's infiltrated into your phone, and you're good.

Come on, today. I could use a good laugh. I always. I'm always good for you for a laugh.

Yeah, I know. I miss you every week when I don't talk to you. Yeah, no, I'm a little. Yesterday I had immunotherapy.

[Dolores Catania]

I know that's hard, right.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

So they did that, and then they also gave me an iron.

[Dolores Catania]

Yeah.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Like an iron infusion takes forever, right? It takes forever. But I also. I've never had one, so I'm, like, kind of hyped up.

[Dolores Catania]

Girl. Enjoy that hype.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

I mean, like, whoa, whoa.

[Dolores Catania]

Yeah, well, that. That goes to show you how bad you needed it. Yeah. Really? Yeah.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

I've never had one before, so.

[Dolores Catania]

I have. Because I used to have very heavy periods, and then I had an ablation, so I didn't need one. But I was extremely anemic. Extremely. Like, I should have been hospitalized. But the thing is, it's such a slow drip, right?

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Yeah.

[Dolores Catania]

Yeah. But I. Is this your first one? You've never had it? I would think you would have needed it with all the immunotherapy that you've been through.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Well, yeah, I kept showing that I had low iron.

[Dolores Catania]

Low iron.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

And then I ended up going and getting my eeg, and they said, you know, like, each time she does her immunotherapy now, she should get the iron.

[Dolores Catania]

Amazing. Yeah.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

So now she's waiting on my EEG results, which.

[Dolores Catania]

How expensive it is. Insurance doesn't coverage, Teddy.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

It doesn't?

[Dolores Catania]

No. If your insurance doesn't, yours probably will. Mine was thousands of dollars. Oh.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

So I'm getting that good. Good.

[Dolores Catania]

You're getting that good shit?

I'm getting the good shit.

Well, I'm happy for you.

Oh, thank you. So I Hope that this time goes up. You know, I end up feeling better because this weekend it's Kyle's daughter's wedding.

Oh, that's right. Yeah.

Yeah. So I'm really hoping it'll be, like, my first time being up, like, past, you know, 9 o' clock A. So I'm like, you gotta have the energy. I hope that you keep feeling good, and I hope that, you know, the wedding's what, Saturday?

Yeah. Amazing. You'll be fine. This is great. It's such you. Even your skin, your coloring, everything. Beautiful. Always, anyway. But I'm glad you feel good.

Should I wig or no wig?

No wig. Girl, with a face like that, you don't need hair. And look at that. I cover that. You know, at my age, we got to put it in. Put it on cover as much as cover the arms. I cover the arms.

Yeah. My arms are. Now that I don't get spray tans, my arms are always covered. These days I'm like, let's cover these bad boys, these age spots. Here we go.

Well, this episode. So our season seven, episode 14. I was hoping for more. I really thought this was such a. You know, we talk about how we love when housewives fight, and then the housewives fight, and then they have resolution, but this wasn't even that. They just kept everybody separated.

[Dolores Catania]

Why, though?

[Teddy Mellencamp]

I don't.

[Dolores Catania]

Because they didn't want to make up? No.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Well, no, I think because they didn't want to mess up the virgin cruise. They didn't want to mess up their relationship with Richard Branson. But watching this episode, all I thought was, I want to go on a virgin cruise while wearing Anastasia of Beverly Hills makeup. Like, come on, paid posts. Get it together.

[Dolores Catania]

Let's go. Let's go. Speaking of cruises, you know my cruise is canceled. It is? They canceled my cruise? Yes. Why? I was supposed to be on with Shannon and Teresa.

Okay.

And the company said they are canceling for unseen circumstances, which maybe they just didn't sell enough tickets. Oh, gosh. So they. They rescheduled.

They rescheduled. Okay, well, get me on one of those soon.

Con. Yeah, the next rescheduled one.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Well, come on. Hopefully I'll be feeling better by then, but. The episode starts off with Marisol and Julia meet for lunch. Julia tells Marisol how in the past she has struggled with her relationship with her daughters. And then Julia tells Marisol that her daughters told her one of her daughters Told her, I love you, I love you, and how much it meant to her. I'm sorry, but Julia not telling her grown daughter she was adopting two boys is as weird as her hair in the scene.

[Dolores Catania]

I'm sorry, am I not supposed to be laughing? Because this is a fucked up scene. I'm sorry. I'm just gonna say I agree with you. So, I mean, I don't like to judge the way other people parent because if you ask, we never know. I mean, you know, it's every. Everybody's different culturally. She's different. You know what I mean? Like, they're just. Listen, she should have told them.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

She should have told them from the very beginning, thinking about it. Then they could have talked through it. Then by the time that she actually adopted the boys, they would have all been in a better place. But who knows? They could be annoyed at her about anything.

[Dolores Catania]

Well, like, you mean when she didn't know what school she went to?

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Yeah, I mean, that might have. That might have done it too.

[Dolores Catania]

There's some things I there. I mean, I don't do. We really don't know the full story. The kids could be just mad about the boys, but, you know, as they.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Could have been mad for a while.

[Dolores Catania]

They could have been mad for a while, but as an adult, kid, child, at some point you say to yourself, am I going to stop being mad at my parents who are. Do screwed up things and just get over it and just. And go with it. Okay, now we have two brothers. Let me not be mad and let me go embrace them. But that's gotta be on them. Of course I understand why they're upset.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Yeah. And also, you know, hopefully Julia is, you know, making a big effort with them to show them how much. Cause, you know.

[Dolores Catania]

Yeah.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Part of it could be they didn't know. Part of them could be, you know, they're feeling like, well, what about us? You know, all of those different feelings that kids have. I mean. And listen, I'm no perfect parent. Like, my daughter Dove this morning came in and I didn't answer with her within 10 seconds. And so she peed on my bedroom floor.

[Dolores Catania]

My dogs do that.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

Like, I'm not kidding. She goes, mom. And I go, yeah. And she goes, mom. And I was like, yes. And then she goes, well, you took too long. I just peed on your floor. I go, dove, you have a bathroom in your room. Go pee in there.

[Dolores Catania]

So she was asking to use your bathroom? Yes. But she didn't say yes when she doesn't even have to ask, Does She. No. She have to ask to use your bathroom? No, I think she just wanted an excuse to pee on your floor.

[Teddy Mellencamp]

I think she. But she did at least do it. Like, there's, like, a little area of rug, and then there's also the hardwood. She at least had the decency to do it just on the hardwood. Oh, do it on the hard.

That stains the hardwood. Well, okay.

That was an easy cleanup. But then the best is Cruz was sleeping with me. So then he gets up.

No, there's no. I was always the last mother at pickup. Always. I almost beat up one of the teachers for saying something about it. She quit the next day. It was a whole thing. Like, my kids can tell you stories, so I have to say that I will never talk about somebody else's parenting. It's so hard being a parent. It is so hard. You should have answered dove sooner.

Yeah, it's my fault. I should have said dove. What's up? Do you need to potty in my bathroom? Come on. That's just.

Like, what did she know? You only know what you know. And I think we've all come very far in parenting, but there's a lot to be said.

There's a lot to be said. But I did enjoy this scene almost as much as I was so awkwardly uncomfortable during the Lisa and Jody talking while Lisa pack scene. Why was that so awkward? Why? I was like, come in the room now. You don't know what's going on.

And, you know, it kind of reminded me of my scene when I asked Paul about his divorce. And he goes, if you think I'm gonna marry you, get on one Knee. And then the whole world jumped on him. Yeah, I. I mean, I wonder what kind of repercussion Jody's or she's gonna get or Jody's gonna get. He was just. It was so awkward. Oh, my God.

What about when she put her hand on his hand to quiet him during their group conf. Their couple confession?

Actually, he's like. He's like, well, we've. You're talking about engagement, but we're like, we don't even sleep in the same room sometimes. She's like, cut.

We fight so much. Sometimes we don't even sleep in the same room.

Are they denying it because they want it to be good camera or like, they want to seem like everything's good, or they're lying to themselves or they're in such, like, denial. Denial.

Yeah. So let me say something about this, and I'm not going to be very nice about it. Stephanie, let her talk. Just let this woman speak. She's absolutely brilliant. She's amazing. I think that while she was talking, Stephanie was listening, but so excited to hear herself talk that she really didn't let her finish. Like, is it Me or did I see? And it wasn't. I don't think Stephanie knows how to be calm and just take in what somebody's saying to her. She's always got to have that word.

She's like, why it would be like. While you were talking just then, all I was thinking about was what I'm going to respond to you.

Yeah, yeah. But then I didn't really understand. I. So they said they're splitting up the groups because they said they need to, like, talk. I thought that meant they were going to put people that have issues together, but instead.

No, but then one group. So there's dinner, group one, that's Julia, Julia, Lisa, Marisol, Alexia, and Adriana. And then dinner group two is Kiki, Stephanie, Larson, Gertie. I don't get it.

Yeah, what's the point?

I don't get it. I'm like, let's talk hints and big. When he's like, I don't get it. Like, I don't get it.

Well, Lisa makes a comment about them being late to dinner. And then Lisa tells the group Jody never did anything wrong, and Larson needs to leave Jody out of it. And then Alexia tells Lisa that Jody needs to leave himself out of it. And then Alexia thinks Alexia jumped on that.

Oh, Alexia was like, your boyfriend. Because you know why? Everyone's got a lot to say about Todd. Now it's her turn to say something about. But I don't remember Lisa saying a lot about Todd, do you?

I don't either. No, Lisa's too obsessed with Lisa, 100%.

So Alexia, like, who. Who's been, you know, very cordial considering, like, Stephanie. The first time Stephanie went off on her, I would have ripped her to shreds.

And she was, like, nice about it. After the fifth time, she finally spoke up. But but yeah. So Alexia went in on Lisa's. Jody.

Yeah, she went in on it. Alexia also was taking the late thing. She's like, just because I'm late one time and you're multiple hours late a bajillion times. Shut up. Just leave it. Sometimes you should know better.

She's sharing a bathroom with. With Marisol. Like, maybe they needed to take turns or maybe she wanted to take a poo. Leave her alone.

So what? So, you know, she's not three hours late like Lisa was for 10 years.

She's not making them sit on a shuttle. They're on. Like, don't make me sit on a.

I get really edgy on a shuttle. On a sprinter van. I don't like a sprinter van or a shuttle. And it's always hot in there.

Musty. But nothing really happens at this dinner, at either dinners for me. We still don't get really very much information about why Adriana shows up.

Maybe she's got to medicate through the birthday. I don't know. Maybe the French croissant left. I don't know.

And then she's feeling frisky and she starts like showing off her stuff.

And then she's counting down the minutes like so instead of thinking what she's going to say next, she's counting down how many hours until this trip is over.

It's the one time she's actually thinking of. Not about what she's saying next, but the minute she gets to step off this cruise.

But she shows up to Maricel's room in an 80s workout outfit with her mic showing, which drives me nuts. Like it was like poked out. Like I was like, should she have a third nipple? Because it was like a poke out right here. But then I was like, oh, it's the mic. It's the mic. But it was driving me nuts. But she gives one to Marisol. Marisol's like, I'm not working. I didn't bring shoes. Like, I'm going to have to wear my chocolates, which is flip flops. And Stephanie brings up what happened with Marisol and Alexia not coming on the plane. And Marisol tells her that she really likes her, but wants to know who she is, not what she is offering. That's a good way to put it. If only we were so eloquently spoken.

We're not. And we're. And we're criticizing Stephanie. Stephanie, I just want to say. I'm not saying it because I think I'm better. I'm just saying it because I expect you could be better. Yeah.

But also, Stephanie, I implore you, I beg you, start wearing your hair natural more often. Because I thought she looked beautiful. Just natural. I don't need, like, a severe boss bitch all the time. Because she looked so beautiful in that scene where she was, like, just in her workout clothes and it was, like, her natural hair. She looks stunning to me.

True. But then we get a flash forward to eight hours later of Alexia telling Stephanie how bothered Marisol was. Then a flash forward to the next day of Stephanie telling Adriana that Marisol is a jealous demon who disguised herself as a loyal friend. She tells Adriana that you're gonna come for her. You better hit a bullseye, because when it turns. When it's her turn, she doesn't miss. Oh, that's another one of those ones that I bet she was thinking about what she was saying when somebody else was talking. Yeah, I know. It was very close to something Bethany has said before. I think Bethany said, if you take a shot at this bee, you better not miss. So it's. It's kind of similar. Oh, yeah.

Someone's doing their homework. You think or.

I think nobody.

Yeah, but, I mean, listen, there's sayings that we don't own. If we say it once, it could be said again. But I think that Stephanie has spent time watching thing the show, and yeah.

Yeah, I think she's done her research, but either way, I'm happy to see that. That was in the flashback. Flash forward because it means that we're going to have a good episode next week.
