Teddi Mellencamp
Hi, guys. Welcome to another episode of Diamonds in the Rough with myself, Teddi Mellencamp.
Erica Jayne
And hey, I'm Erica Jayne. Hi, Teddi Mellencamp.
Teddi Mellencamp
Hi. What are you doing for. Thanks.
Erica Jayne
I'm hosting.
Teddi Mellencamp
You are? You're cooking? You're doing all.
Erica Jayne
Well, no, it's already cooked. So John and I are hosting. Yeah. At my house, so.
Teddi Mellencamp
Oh, that's nice.
Erica Jayne
Yeah, They've got people and dog. A dog. And, you know, the man and the whole thing. So it's nice that I love it.
Teddi Mellencamp
You and John are hosting.
Erica Jayne
Yep, Yep. I know. That's sweet. Isn't that sweet? I was just on the phone on the way here, I was like, so soon as I get back from podcast, we gotta go get these things from Bristol Farms? And he's like, yes. Okay. Make a list.
Teddi Mellencamp
Are you gonna get the Hawaiian bread that we all ate when we were kids like that?
Erica Jayne
I love those rolls.
Teddi Mellencamp
I love those rolls.
Erica Jayne
What about you? What are you doing?
Teddi Mellencamp
I'm going to my dad's.
Erica Jayne
Nice.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah, going to my dad's. Thanksgiving is figured out. Going to my dad's with the kids and then Christmas is still up in the air. Up in the air. So I haven't figured that out yet.
Erica Jayne
Me. Right.
Teddi Mellencamp
So we'll see.
Erica Jayne
But there's a lot of you for Thanksgiving, right?
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah, there's a lot of us. So we all go and we go to my grandpa's house. I mean, we're so lucky that I still have a grandpa.
Erica Jayne
That is cool.
Teddi Mellencamp
Or a great grandpa.
Erica Jayne
Oh, a great grandpa.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah. Great grandpa Richard.
Erica Jayne
So how many generations does that make you?
Teddi Mellencamp
So that's great grandpa. It's me, then my dad, then my grandpa Richard.
Erica Jayne
So that's 1, 2, 3, 4. And then Cruz would be 5. Yeah.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Erica Jayne
Or all your kids would be 5.
Teddi Mellencamp
So there's a lot of us. And then all of us come with our Kids to my grand. To Richard's house. We call him Richard. To Richard's house. And then, like, you kind of still wonder, as if you're my age, if, like, you're at the kids table or you're at the adults table.
Erica Jayne
It never feels like I graduated from the kids table, I don't think. I never feels like I graduated from the kids table.
Teddi Mellencamp
I feel like I'm gonna need to walk down to the basement and sit in my little spot before.
Erica Jayne
Right in the little table. Did you guys. The little table. Me too.
Commercial Announcer
Yeah.
Erica Jayne
Yeah. And then I. I still feel like I should be at the little table, but I also.
Teddi Mellencamp
Because I don't contribute, I'm not helping. Well, so then I'm like, it's okay.
Erica Jayne
Do you. Do you help prepare, clean, take away, serve? None of it.
Teddi Mellencamp
None of it. I just show. I just show up and then eat all the egg noodles. Do you guys have egg noodles?
Erica Jayne
No.
Teddi Mellencamp
They're so good.
Erica Jayne
But what are they?
Teddi Mellencamp
I mean, I know, but they're essentially like thick noodles.
Erica Jayne
I know what they are, but what. How are they prepared?
Teddi Mellencamp
I don't know, but, like, my aunts make them, and it's so good. And they're the first to go, so it's like the second you get there.
Erica Jayne
It'S like, you gotta grab the egg noodles. Yeah.
Teddi Mellencamp
Like, I'm like, give me the egg noodles. For me, it's. I need the egg noodles, and I need the white meat turkey.
Erica Jayne
Okay. What time does Thanksgiving begin? Because in my family, there was two rounds. So you went for lunch and dinner. Like, there's a couple of rounds. Cause you went to other people's homes.
Teddi Mellencamp
Oh, ours is at grandpa's. It's at noon.
Erica Jayne
Right.
Teddi Mellencamp
And then we'll go back to my dad's, and we'll all complain that we're hungry and then eat again.
Erica Jayne
And then eat again. That's the point I'm making. Is that it always. At least where I'm from, it started at noon. And then you would go visit everybody and eat again. So it was like two dinners in one day.
Teddi Mellencamp
Lots of pies, lots of treats.
Erica Jayne
Pumpkin pieces.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah, I'm more of, like, a cobbler person.
Erica Jayne
I love cobbler.
Teddi Mellencamp
Cherry, peach, any kind of cobbler.
Erica Jayne
Oh, my God, I love a cobbler. That's what I need to have done today.
Teddi Mellencamp
You need to figure out a cop. Know where they actually have really good cobblers?
Erica Jayne
Tell me. Really?
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Erica Jayne
Okay.
Teddi Mellencamp
Right next to my house.
Erica Jayne
Okay. All right.
Teddi Mellencamp
Zip into there and you'll get yourself a good cobbler.
Erica Jayne
Really?
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Erica Jayne
Okay.
Teddi Mellencamp
Really good cobblers, really good cakes.
Erica Jayne
Okay.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Erica Jayne
All right. I'll do that on the way home. Yeah, that's pretty easy.
Teddi Mellencamp
But I love that you're hosting.
Erica Jayne
I know.
Teddi Mellencamp
Will you get dressed up or will you be casual?
Erica Jayne
I will be. I will not be dressed up because I'll be working, but I'll be, like, polished. Does that make sense? Yeah, but not makeup. Just. I mean, my hair will be clean and blown out and I'll have on something decent, but I will not be.
Teddi Mellencamp
Like, see, I'll probably be in aloe soft clothes.
Erica Jayne
Well, that's fine.
Teddi Mellencamp
I'm like, eh, that's what it is, everybody.
Erica Jayne
You get a break. I mean, you're gonna get a Thanksgiving pass, I think. All right, you know what? How was your bravocon? Because you were working as much or more than I was.
Teddi Mellencamp
Bravocon was good. I didn't really have any complaints over bravocon. I thought I had some fun. There was some emotional times with Bravocon. There was.
Erica Jayne
Did you feel the love with the standing ovation?
Teddi Mellencamp
It's the first time I've been liked at bravocon, so it felt so strange to.
Erica Jayne
No. Well, she received a standing ovation and a lot of warmth. But you remember how you sat here in this chair and you were like, I'm concerned that I won't be able to read the teleprompter that I went. You did a beautiful job.
Teddi Mellencamp
Thank you.
Erica Jayne
You came alive. You really. And I think that's something that you know. And I was watching some of your pods back, just clips, and you were really vibrant, very present, and so you did a great job.
Teddi Mellencamp
Oh, thank you so much. No, it was good. How are you feeling about your bravocon?
Erica Jayne
My bravocon was good.
Teddi Mellencamp
You squashed the beef.
Erica Jayne
Yeah. I didn't know that I had to squash to be coming. I didn't think it was going to be a thing, but it was so.
Teddi Mellencamp
You made me laugh with Luann, when you're like, nope. Nothing else I gotta say here.
Erica Jayne
There is nothing to say. Yeah. So what? Okay, great. You know, I don't have anything to say. And as far as, like, the reading room with Angie K. I get asked the question. I mean, I got asked a lot of shady questions, and it's my job to respond in the way that you all want me to respond, so stop saying that.
Teddi Mellencamp
So she picked somebody. It is what it is.
Erica Jayne
Well, like, Phaedra looked at me and she said, somebody had to lose.
Teddi Mellencamp
Oh, yeah.
Erica Jayne
You know what I'm saying? Like, when everybody was having a breakdown, it's like, well, somebody had to lose. I got the question and I didn't even. All I said was I didn't like the color. Cause she's a pretty girl.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah. You know, and she won enough the night before it.
Erica Jayne
Who cares? We all lose. This is part of the if you can dish it, you can take it. If you can be up there on that stage, it doesn't matter. Even like when Reza. Reza, you know, said about Kyle being the most overrated housewife, he came over, he's like, hey, I'm really sorry about. I said, it's your opinion. You're allowed to do that. That's the game we're playing up here. Everybody calm down.
Teddi Mellencamp
But I feel like that's the second time he's done that.
Erica Jayne
No, but you know what he said? I have to stand by it.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Erica Jayne
He's like, I said it before. I'm gonna say it again. You know, this is how I feel. And you know what? Good for him. It's simply his opinion. This is what we get paid to do. And that's the. That's the name of the game. We're up there to do it. It's called the Reading Room. You know.
Teddi Mellencamp
Here's the thing about being a great gift giver. When you find something truly perfect for everyone on your list, you almost don't want to give it away.
Commercial Announcer
That's what happened with my quints. Order everything so soft and well made, I'm seriously tempted to keep all of it for myself.
Teddi Mellencamp
Quince pretty much has your whole list covered. Mongolian cashmere sweaters for $50 when you normally pay $200 or more, the kind you'll wear on repeat.
Commercial Announcer
Then there's the denim that goes with everything. Silk tops and skirts for when you need to look put together. Cashmere beanies and scarves and down jackets that actually keep you warm.
Teddi Mellencamp
The Italian wool coats, absolute top of my list. They look designer and are made with premium materials. But like everything at Quint's, the price won't make you. We're talking way less than other brands charge.
Commercial Announcer
By working directly with trusted factories that maintain high standards for both craftsmanship and ethical practices, and by cutting out the middleman and markups, Quince is able to pass those savings straight to you.
Teddi Mellencamp
I can't tell you how much I'm loving my new cashmere sweater. I will be wearing it a lot this holiday season and getting one for my daughter. Slate. Find gifts so good you'll want to keep them with quince.

Because on ebay it's not just shopping, it's a full on fashion pursuit. And when you find the thing that adrenaline hit is real. I recently found a dress I had been looking for since I was 19. Teddi Mellencamp
Did you have any tough run ins? Like, was there anybody that was kind of rude to you?
Erica Jayne
First of all, no. And number two, I don't care, because everybody's stressed out.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Erica Jayne
Not everybody has the time to be as gracious as you would want them to be.
Teddi Mellencamp
Well, there's a time where we all got back. We had just left the. Was it the Bravos? And we all get back to the wrong hotel room. There's like 20 of us on this, maybe 30 of us on this bus. And we're all like, where are we going? Why are we at the wrong hotel?
Erica Jayne
We were at the Mandala. Yeah. We got dropped off at the wrong thing. It's a whole busload of us. And it was just all bitching and.
Teddi Mellencamp
We'Re all just yelling out complaints. Finally somebody, like, yells over all of us and is like this. I think it was Shannon. She goes, this is the only place we can get dropped off where we have to walk the least amount. And then all of us were like, okay, okay.
Erica Jayne
But it's true. I mean, as much as, like, if, you know, we're on buses, like, we're getting shuttled around, we're doing things.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah, we are.
Erica Jayne
And guess what? We were in, you know, we were not close to our hotel, so we were confused. So we were fucking mad and had to walk around more than we had nine hours ahead of time. So listen, you know, we figured it out.
Teddi Mellencamp
We figured it out.
Erica Jayne
So you watched the premiere. I watched the premiere of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. What's your honest opinion? You can say whatever you want.
Teddi Mellencamp
It kind of felt like a breath of fresh air.
Erica Jayne
What?
Teddi Mellencamp
What? What? I know. I don't want you to feel frightened. I felt like a breath of fresh air. Tell me how are you feeling with the premiere coming up? Because I'm good.
Erica Jayne
I feel fine. Listen, this season was. Weird.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Erica Jayne
And I'll just leave it there.
Teddi Mellencamp
Okay.
Erica Jayne
I was feeling weird. Shit's getting weird.
Teddi Mellencamp
Shit's getting.
Erica Jayne
Shit's getting weird.
Teddi Mellencamp
All right, now we're getting into the reunion. I almost feel like we don't even need to, like, look at our notes because it's all the same things, but, well.
Erica Jayne
Okay. What do you think? I watched 2 and 3.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Erica Jayne
I just wanted to say that, like, where was the mat bomb? Like, I wanted more from Matt.
Teddi Mellencamp
That's what I said.
Erica Jayne
Is that what you said? Because I didn't. I wasn't able to do two with you. Is that what you said?
Teddi Mellencamp
That's what I said. I was waiting for Matt to bring it and, like, drop this bomb. And there was. Never happened. It never happened. There was no proof. There was no timeline. There was no nothing.
Erica Jayne
It was a little underwhelming.
Teddi Mellencamp
It was more just him seeming like one of the ladies, like, getting catty.
Erica Jayne
Yeah, a little bit.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Erica Jayne
I mean, he wasn't like Aaron scary, but he was catty.
Teddi Mellencamp
He was catty. Well, it starts out, the reunion continues. Gretchen says there's no excuse for her liking hateful comments. And then Gretchen said she was scrolling mindlessly at night and could have liked something or some of the posts. She apologized if she liked anything hurtful.
Erica Jayne
Hurtful, yeah. Tamara says that Gretchen followed over 200 hate accounts. Okay, That's a lot.
Teddi Mellencamp
That's a lot.
Erica Jayne
It's a lot, too. Yeah. It's not like, hey, I followed somebody.
Teddi Mellencamp
And then I realized it was a mistake.
Erica Jayne
I realized it was a mistake. Why? You know, that's a lot. That says.
Teddi Mellencamp
I feel like the girls were, like, kind of covering for her. Because then Heather jumps in and says, gretchen has always been kind to her family, but she's heard rumblings that Gretchen subscribes to this rhetoric.
Erica Jayne
It is true, though.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Erica Jayne
Gretchen has always been kind to Heather. And look, here's the thing. We're dealing with how I treat you to your face and then how I privately feel. But is it private? Because I'm liking these accounts. Do I know she also follows 4,000 people? You know, I could see mindlessly liking something not reading it all the way.
Teddi Mellencamp
But you could see mindlessly liking a picture.
Erica Jayne
That's right. Or something that once or twice or something like that. But following over 200 hate accounts. I'd like to know the definition of hate accounts, because, look, it's easy to say hate accounts like Is it just shady accounts or is it hateful? Yeah, you know, like saying, like, the pedophilia shit is just. That's hate. You know, that's hateful.
Teddi Mellencamp
Do you think that Andy, the women, and especially Heather were trying to help Gretchen get through this?
Erica Jayne
I don't know. I mean, I think everyone's kind of caught in the middle. What do you think?
Teddi Mellencamp
Well, I thought it was a quick.
Erica Jayne
I don't think that Andy would ever try to cover for someone's hair hate. Like, I don't. I don't believe that. I don't think the show would. I don't think that the network would. But that's me, in my opinion. But I. I also don't know these accounts. Like, I haven't gone and looked at what Gretchen liked.
Teddi Mellencamp
I mean, well, Gretchen then says she hired a cyber analyst to company to look at the post that she had liked. Gretchen says specifically the one post, homosexuals are pedophiles is fake. But the problem with this statement is, Gretchen, that the post you're saying is fake. The same guy wrote the same exact thing on his Twitter on the exact same date shown on the screenshot. So that would have been one hell of a coincidence.
Erica Jayne
I mean, it's. That's hard.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah. I kind of feel like. I don't know, as it continues on, you know, they. It goes back through the analysis and this and that, and then it switches to Tamara.
Erica Jayne
Well, then, yeah. I mean, what do you think about that?
Teddi Mellencamp
I do. I think that Tamara had a great season. No. Do I think that she deserved this? No.
Erica Jayne
But are you shocked that this is what she got? Knowing who she's dealing with, knowing that. Look, it's very clear that Gretchen and Tamara do not like each other, that this is what's going on. I would like to say I'm shocked, but I'm not. Because bad shit happens on all these shows to everybody.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Erica Jayne
So if I was being. And if I was Gretchen and Slade, I'd have time to recount, you know, to come back and say this stuff. I think it's all weird. I think that the.
Teddi Mellencamp
It's not what I want to be watching.
Erica Jayne
No. Well said. I don't want to watch it either.
Teddi Mellencamp
I don't care.
Erica Jayne
I don't care about naked, wasted. I don't care about 15 years ago. I don't care about Gretchen. I don't want to see Tamara and Gretchen again. I don't. I don't want to see it. No. I don't want to see it. And I don't want to do this, and I don't want to have cyber securities. And then I don't want to get the message that we got today about how someone works. We got a DM Okay. From some guy that works in cybersecurity that says that Gretchen shit is all fake and he can prove it. So I don't, as a viewer, like, I don't want to watch any of this shit.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah. No, I don't. To me, it just felt so.
Erica Jayne
It felt ugly.
Teddi Mellencamp
It felt yucky.
Erica Jayne
It felt like, Tamara doesn't look good. Gretchen doesn't look good. None of the women look good.
Teddi Mellencamp
The fans are unhappy.
Erica Jayne
Well, Gina was the only one that kind of spoke well about, hey, I don't like either one of this. I don't want to be involved in this. Like, it's just. How do the fans feel about this?
Teddi Mellencamp
The fans are kind of outraged in the fact that they're upset that. Why was it so quickly overlooked what Gretchen did? But now all of a sudden, we're supposed to believe this, like, robot man that's coming after Tamara? Like, how are we supposed to believe that?
Erica Jayne
Well, you're not. And you need to. I don't like this sort of anonymous accuser. If you've got something to say, reveal yourself. So you have the right to. You know, so Tamara has the right to confront her accuser. It's just. It's. I don't like any of this.
Teddi Mellencamp
And you could tell Tamara was genuinely, like, hurt about this. Like, she's looking at Andy. She's like, I would never do this.
Erica Jayne
I've been on the show 15 years. I would never do this.
Teddi Mellencamp
I would never do this. And in this instance, I 100% believe her.
Erica Jayne
Yeah. She looked very upset. Yeah.
Teddi Mellencamp
And I would be, too.
Erica Jayne
Very, very upset. I. I would come and clued.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Erica Jayne
That's my opinion.
Teddi Mellencamp
Emily and Tamara get into a heated argument. They both think that the other one is an asshole. Tamara mentions how when Emily's podcast left Tamara's network, they had to put Emily back on it because it tanked.
Erica Jayne
I don't like this exchange at all. It's ugly.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah. This is what happens when everything becomes online, and it's not about what we're actually dealing with. It's not about the friendships.
Erica Jayne
And that's what Heather was saying.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Erica Jayne
Is that this show is not about what's online. The show is not about bloggers. This show is not about content makers. It's not. It's about the friendships that happen inside this group.
Commercial Announcer
Yeah.
Teddi Mellencamp
And why should any of us believe some random analyst that Gretchen paid for. Allegedly.
Erica Jayne
Well, look, a paid analyst or a paid expert is simply that a paid expert.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Erica Jayne
So they're paid to come give their opinion in your favor.

Teddi Mellencamp
Oh, also, I watched another lie detector test on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Erica Jayne
Tired of that. Yeah.
Teddi Mellencamp
But it was a completely different experience. Experience. Why the person wouldn't be the lie detector taker wouldn't be shown.
Erica Jayne
Right.
Teddi Mellencamp
It took over 45 minutes to get or over an hour to get results.
Erica Jayne
Yeah.
Teddi Mellencamp
Like multiple things that were just so different than the one that we've always seen. Who's happy to show his face to do this? Like, it made it seem more legit.
Erica Jayne
Okay.
Teddi Mellencamp
But either way, it's all stuff that is just so. I want to see the relate. That's. I'm happy Vicki is back.
Erica Jayne
Wow.
Teddi Mellencamp
I'm happy.
Erica Jayne
Who are you?
Teddi Mellencamp
I know.
Erica Jayne
I don't mean that. No shade against Vicki, but, like, who are you?
Teddi Mellencamp
But I'm happy Vicki is back because I think Vicki is going to help bring the fun to the show, whether it's with Tamara, whether it's with Shannon, whether it's with Heather. Like, I think she's going to come on and she says, shit. That's just so. I mean, when she was on the podcast when we were at Bravo Con, like, she said some. That it was just so wild and out there. Like, you just have to laugh.
Erica Jayne
Right.
Teddi Mellencamp
And like, that's what.
Erica Jayne
So she's gonna bring.
Teddi Mellencamp
She's gonna bring levity to it.
Erica Jayne
Well, this is definitely not the way to go. Yeah, I didn't. I didn't like any of this.
Teddi Mellencamp
Because it's like, who's the biggest asshole?
Erica Jayne
But who's the biggest asshole? And then who do you believe? And you know, there's not. Here's the other thing. There's gonna be no answer here. Do you realize that? There's no answer here.
Teddi Mellencamp
There's no proof here.
Erica Jayne
There's no. For either side. This one's gonna say that this one's gonna hire the other one. You're a liar. You're a fucking liar. You're a liar. And then the audience is left to be like, who do you believe, you know the least? I don't know. I just didn't like it at all. And everybody's screaming and being mean to each other. And I know that that's part of the gig. I'm not saying it's not, but at least have.
Teddi Mellencamp
Have something that you're actually screaming about.
Erica Jayne
Well, if I. I mean, look, let's just say that. Let's just suspend this for a second and say that it's true on both sides. If I were Gretchen and I did not like these accounts, I would be very upset and screaming. If I were Tamra and I did not do these things, I'd be very upset and screaming because they have consequences, you know, like. But just. It's back and forth and pointing the finger back and forth is. Now I don't want to hear any of it.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah. Well, then. Andy shows a clip of Jen, Gina and Shannon. Emily sent Gina a screenshot of a message said that Tamara has been leaking details about the entire season throughout filming. Shannon says that Tamara had given Heather and Shannon's number out to get a prank call. Hold on. In regards to this prank call, do you remember when this was happening? This happened to a bunch of us. It's happening to. And it wasn't a prank call.
Erica Jayne
It was.
Teddi Mellencamp
Somebody got all of our phone numbers and would like randomly call, but I don't think anybody gave them out. But like, it happened to Andy, it happened to me. And then all of a sudden we're on this group text.
Erica Jayne
Oh, well, here's the thing. You're never going to catch me answering the phone if I don't know you. You ain't answer. I'm not answering. Just be sure of that. And I. I've seen those group texts.
Teddi Mellencamp
You've seen the group texts go around. So I'm wondering if that.
Erica Jayne
I mean, Camille's number was in there.
Teddi Mellencamp
I know.
Erica Jayne
Like somebody hacked all of it, all of the numbers.
Teddi Mellencamp
But the anonymous caller knew Shannon was upset for not being invited to the upfronts.
Erica Jayne
This is apparently which Andy tend. If I were Andy said, but there are details in here that no one would know. And he tended to believe this anonymous person.
Teddi Mellencamp
I know, but then show us the anonymous person and give us more stuff.
Erica Jayne
Yeah, why don't you just say who the fuck it is so we can move on with our lives?
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah, because this way it just looks like it's unfair because we're going to believe somebody that's this happened.
Erica Jayne
Like.
Teddi Mellencamp
No, I don't want to.
Erica Jayne
I don't want to either. I don't want to either. If you have something to say, reveal yourself and say it.
Teddi Mellencamp
Even though nobody wanted to. Like throughout the rest of the season when we're waiting for all these different reveals and all of these different things, it didn't come. It never came. It never came.
Erica Jayne
I also wonder how do you go forward here?
Teddi Mellencamp
Well, like in your opinion, who's gone.
Erica Jayne
Who'S going now that Vicki's back? Well, I think you're gonna keep your trace amigas, right?
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Erica Jayne
So those three will be there. I think Heather will stay.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Erica Jayne
And then you have Gina. Jen. I think Emily will stay.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Erica Jayne
I don't think Katie makes it.
Teddi Mellencamp
No, I think Katie's gone.
Erica Jayne
I don't think Katie makes it. How many do they.
Teddi Mellencamp
And then I think that Gretchen is gone too.
Erica Jayne
Yes, I think that Gretchen is gone as well.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah, that's the way I kind of look at it.
Erica Jayne
Almost like an Alexis situation.
Teddi Mellencamp
Do you think they would bring back Alexis? No, I don't think so either, no. Yeah, I think they just look to.
Erica Jayne
Their legacy flares to really revive because.
Teddi Mellencamp
It'S 20 years, right. And it has to be good.
Erica Jayne
But I don't want to hear about 20 year old beef.
Teddi Mellencamp
No fresh fights. We want fresh fights.
Erica Jayne
I want fresh present day conflict. Please do not refer back to 15 years ago when you looked very different, myself included. I'm not shading.
Teddi Mellencamp
No. We don't want to see so much of the past.
Erica Jayne
I don't know, like I left wanting something that I didn't get and I know that happens and I'm not saying that, you know, the anonymous shit is just, I mean, do we, do we respond to this dm?
Teddi Mellencamp
I mean the fact that somebody took the time to not just DM to cameo send us and then we have to write back. I don't know, I mean we could respond, but do we care?
Erica Jayne
No, that's the other thing. We don't.
Teddi Mellencamp
I just feel bad for fans watching.
Erica Jayne
See, this is really where it's at. What has been the response?
Teddi Mellencamp
People are annoyed, people are frustrated, people wanted answers, there's no answers now. We're just left two open ended things that haven't been dealt with that we don't. I don't care about them being dealt with at this point.
Erica Jayne
I don't either.
Teddi Mellencamp
Like I just want to start fresh.
Erica Jayne
So knowing that Vicky's Coming back for the next season, what do you think should happen?
Teddi Mellencamp
What would be your casting exactly what yours would be. I would just take those two away and then just keep in everybody else and then just go for it. And I think that things would change. I think the dynamics would change.
Erica Jayne
Did you enjoy your podcast with Vicki?
Teddi Mellencamp
She made me laugh.
Erica Jayne
Good.
Teddi Mellencamp
Multiple times.
Erica Jayne
Good.
Teddi Mellencamp
I don't know if she realizes she's making you laugh, but she does.
Erica Jayne
Right. But it was good between the two of you?
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah, we're totally fine between the two of us.
Erica Jayne
Great.
Teddi Mellencamp
And I'm happy she's back. When she slept with her orange and like took a picture, I thought it was cute. Like all of it. Like there was no. And I never had real issues, Vicky. Vicki had an issue with me and then it just spiraled, you know, back and forth via social media pettiness.
Erica Jayne
Right. Which is actually what we're talking about in this entire thing, which could just.
Teddi Mellencamp
Be handled on social media or in press. It never needs to be on the show.
Erica Jayne
Or how about just pick up the phone?
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah. It's unnecessary. It's completely unnecessary because now we're stuck here talking about something in circles because they gave us nothing.
Erica Jayne
Well, they talked in circles.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Erica Jayne
They gave us something that we can't resolve.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Erica Jayne
You know, I don't know what I looked at.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah, no, I don't.
Erica Jayne
And it's an open ended. And someone could say, well, this could continue on, but nobody wants it to.
Teddi Mellencamp
I don't want it to.
Erica Jayne
Well, the audience doesn't. And I can guarantee you the women don't either.
Teddi Mellencamp
And I most surely don't even care what the. What the answer is. Even if somebody is a cyber analyst, blah, blah, blah. I don't care. Yeah, don't care.
Erica Jayne
Yeah. Well, I hate that we have to wrap it up like that because, you know, here's the thing. Everybody works really hard to. To make a show and to be entertaining, but this shit got out of control with the content creators, the bloggers, the onlines and the, you know, hopefully lessons are learned. Yeah. Right. Just keep it amongst yourselves and stop trying to.
Teddi Mellencamp
Do you think this was a wake up call to production to kind of be like, okay, nobody cares about this stuff. We gotta stop it before it goes down. This.
Erica Jayne
I think it'd be nice.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah, me too.
Erica Jayne
You know, I think it would make a more. Look, we use this, we throw this word. Authentic. Right, Authentic. Show around this, you know, authentic word. But it would help.
Teddi Mellencamp
Yeah.
Erica Jayne
I agree to keep the story in house and keep it, you know, it's one thing to comment here and there, but, you know, like, I can't even tell you what's going on. You don't know what happened this season?
Teddi Mellencamp
No, I can't.
Erica Jayne
Beverly Hills, because I didn't fucking tell you. Yeah, you know, like, I told you a cute, a couple cute things that maybe you've like, you know, oh my God. But I'm not over here, like, laying it out for you, like planting seeds, like, help me out, girl.
Teddi Mellencamp
And then I'm not sitting there talking in a fake voice. Erica told me she had lunch with Bose, right?
Erica Jayne
No, Erica will tell you straight out, I had lunch with Bose and this is what was said.
Teddi Mellencamp
Oh my gosh. Well, thanks for tuning in to another episode of Diamonds in the Rough, guys. Oc's got to bring it next season. They've got big shoes to fill.
Erica Jayne
Well, I would just like to say this has been my second season doing this with you. I loved it very much. I'm kind of sad that we have to wrap this up on this side of the uneventful moment, but, you know.
Teddi Mellencamp
We'Ll find some other shit to talk about.
Erica Jayne
We'll find some other shit to talk about. I need. I mean, do we need closure? No. We don't want it.
Teddi Mellencamp
We don't need it. I don't need the answers. I just need it to get better.
Erica Jayne
Teddy needs it to get better. My name is Erika Jayne and this is Diamonds in the Rough.

True to the hosts’ signature blend, the episode is witty, irreverent, and unsparingly honest. Teddi and Erica avoid sugarcoating, volleying insider observations with exasperation over the franchise’s shortcomings and hope for its future.
This episode provides a raw and reflective critique of the current RHOC season and its reunion, arguing for less reliance on online scandals and a return to authentic, interpersonal drama among the women. Teddi and Erica end hopeful that new (and returning) cast members will restore the fun and bring renewed energy next season.
For fans and casual listeners alike, this summary captures the main conflicts, memorable moments, and honest commentary that define this Real Housewives recap.
