This is a CBC podcast. I'm Stephen Chua. In 2017, I started a newspaper job in the mountain town of Squamish, British Columbia. Local news, civic politics, small town stuff. Just a few months after I got here, I A rock climber named Jesse James was found dead in his truck on a remote logging road. He was shot in the middle of the night. His truck burned beyond recognition. Jesse James was murdered. It is truly a mystery. It is truly a case of whodunit. Not only was Jesse's death a mystery, so was his life. And the discovery of his true identity would trigger a landslide. He was fundamentally a Nazi. Jesse James was actually Davis Wolfgang Hawk, an American neo Nazi on the run from his past. But that's not all. He grew up under another name, Andrew Britt Greenbaum. He believed explicitly and out loud in white supremacy and was also Jewish. Jesse the Vegan Van Life rock climber was a Jewish born niece neo Nazi. And there was even more. AOL had just won a massive judgment because he was one of the leading spammers in the world and he was selling penis enlargement pills. He was burying gold bars.
