Welcome back to this week's episode of Unlocked. As you all know, we have a variety of different guests on this show, and I'm super excited for today. We have Haley Welch on welcome. Thank you.
Haley Welch
Thank you.
Host
Did I say your last name right?
Haley Welch
Yeah, Welch.
Host
Okay, good.
Haley Welch
You know, I like the gummies. Yeah, Welch's. Welch's.
Host
Welch's Gummies. I love it.
Haley Welch
There you go. They don't like me.
Host
Stop.
Haley Welch
They don't.
Host
Why?
Haley Welch
I don't know. We reached out to them. We were like, I want to do something together. This is perfect. Perfect. They're like, nah. And I was like, all right, me.
Host
I guess. Oh, my gosh. That is hilarious. Okay, so your story. First off, where are you from?
Haley Welch
Well, Belfast. I'll say Belfast, Tennessee.
Host
Okay. And you're how old?
Haley Welch
21.
Host
21. Okay. And what was. For people that may not know who you are, how did you become famous? You now have like 1.8 million TikTok followers. Instagram. Crazy following.
Haley Welch
Hot.
Host
Okay, so can you maybe tell the story?
Haley Welch
So where we go? CMA Fest? I'm pretty sure, but we went to CMA Fest. That was last year, I believe. But these guys on the street, they interviewed us and I told them a little joke and they ended up posting it. And now I'm here.
Host
So now I'm here. And so how did, like, how did that actually happen from the time that they interviewed you to when you kind of blew up and went viral?
Haley Welch
So they were on, like, the side of the road kinda, and everything was shutting down, like bars and stuff. And we were just out and seeing them and I was like, oh, these guys, these poor guys. Like, nobody's talking to them. They're probably bored out of their mind, so let's go be friends with them. They were like, we do YouTube videos. Like they post on YouTube. And I was like, okay, well, that's fine. I didn't think they were going to post a video. Well, they posted the video, so it ended up doing really good on their page. You know how, like, the Internet is.
Host
Oh, yeah.
Haley Welch
People clip it and make their own. And post stayed around for months. It's still out there.
Host
Oh, yeah, it's still every day. And so when that happened, like, who was the first person that reached out to you? Did you start making money from things or.
Haley Welch
No, not at first. So I had to go to sleep, like, pretty early, where I get up and go to work. I had to be at work at 5 o' clock in the morning, so I'd get up early, go to sleep Early.
Host
And what'd you do for work?
Haley Welch
But I worked at a factory.
Host
Okay.
Haley Welch
So I ended up going to sleep and then I woke up for work and all my friends done texted in our group chat. You know that four person girl group chat. Oh yeah, you don't want to be a topic in there. But I ended up waking up and they're like, oh shit. Like they seen the video and they're like, that's not good. The lights keep going up. And I was like, going to get big. It's, it's not going to be big. By the time my work day was over with, it was huge. Like it blew up. Had over a million views. Like, I was like freaking the hell out. I was like, this is not good.
Host
And why were you freaking out?
Haley Welch
I was like, my granny go here about this shit, she's going to want my ass. Oh shit. That's the only reason I cared otherwise. I was like, oh shit. But button. Yeah.
Host
So like your family, how did they react to it?
Haley Welch
They thought it was funny. They didn't think it was anything out of the ordinary. You can't tell what the hell I'm gonna say.
Host
So that's just like your typical everyday with you?
Haley Welch
I'd say so. Yeah. Yeah.
Host
So when obviously, because we all have seen the video, like it went viral, everybody in the world has seen it. I think what has been like, how do you handle the response from people who are the parents who are like, I didn't want my child seeing that or like that's not a positive role model? Like, how do you respond to that?
Haley Welch
Well, you can like it or you can love it or you could kiss my ass. I really don't care. There's so much on the Internet I see every day that I don't like. But that doesn't mean I have to sit there and be like, I hate this. Like, why would you post this? Just dwelling on other people.
Host
Yeah.
Haley Welch
Like if that makes you happy, do it, that's fine. But don't, don't come over here barking up my tree.
Host
Okay, I do get that. So with, after this happened, where did like your career go from there?
Haley Welch
I don't know. At first I just kind of ran with it. Like I started doing appearances. We done that. Let's see, what else did we do? We done a bunch of shit. Last year was packed, like I didn't even have a summer hardly last year. And then it just kept getting busy. Busier, busier. And then we ended up starting a podcast and that's where everything kind of, like, started straightening out a little bit.
Host
Yeah. To where it was more structured.
Haley Welch
Oh, yeah.
Host
And so what happened, obviously, with the whole coin fiasco, that was a hot ass mess. That was just tell you.
Haley Welch
And I've learned that something. I hate that it happened, and I hate the people that got affected by it, but that's something I needed to, like, open my eyes a little bit. You got to be so careful with what you put your name on.
Host
Oh, yes, without a doubt. So with. Is all of that said and done now or.
Haley Welch
I'd say so. Like, I mean, I got. I can't really talk too much, like, in depth about it. Like, I'd like to, but. So the feds up here, they come to my house and they're like, oh, like, we just want to talk to, you know, everything. So I done that, talked to them, fully cooperative, and then they ended up asking if they could have my phone for a few days. So I was like, yeah, that's fine. Like, I don't have anything to hide. So they full blown, like, took my phone. We literally sent it off in the mail, and it was gone for like four days before I got it back.
Host
That's insane.
Haley Welch
Swept the whole thing. They're like, this girl's a dumbass. She ain't got nothing on her phone. And I was like, well, I told you.
Host
But you know what? At least you were willing to do that and give your phone and cooperate. And was that so, like, you said, it was an eye opener on what you put your name on.
Haley Welch
Exactly. Right.
Host
How did you get involved with the person that did it?
Haley Welch
So the way it worked, they're like, okay, how? It got explained to me, they're like, this is like, really good. Everybody's gonna get a cut of it, like, whatever we raise out of it. And they're like, chelsea, like, you're gonna get this cut. And then, Haley, we're gonna take your cut and we're gonna donate it. And I was like, that's fine. Let's do that. For animal shelters. I have a charity, PA America, and we're going to take that and then we're going to use it to go in there and fund everything. Like, if we're going to a shelter, we can donate to them here. They're everywhere.
Host
Yeah.
Haley Welch
So. And they also made it out. Like, it was like, a really good idea to, like, get my followers engaged with it too. Like, the idea that we talked about was like, oh, one month, if you go and you adopt a pet from an animal shelter, you get so many Coins. But of course, I don't run that. I'm too much of a dumbass to run anything like that. So. But that was it. It was made out to be, like, a good thing. I was like, okay. Which at first, I was like, no, I don't want to do that. I've never heard anything good about that. Bitcoin or anything on the stock market. I don't know. I'm a girl. I don't know nothing about it.
Host
Bitcoin is, like, huge.
Haley Welch
Exactly. And I don't know anything about it. So I kept saying. I was like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Like, I don't want to do it. I don't know enough about it. And then they brought that up. So I was like, okay, well, you know, that's really not a bad idea. And I was like, if we're going to do it for something good, I was like, that's fine. So, yeah, I ended up giving in and it bit me in the ass.
Host
Well, that's unfortunate is the amount of people who just seek to take advantage of individuals and name and likeness. And that's really sad.
Haley Welch
It's. I don't know. This world is. It really concerns me.
Host
Oh, it does. I say that, like, this is the world that I'm gonna leave behind for my kids. So it's our responsibility to make it a better place. And it's. It is extremely frightening.
Haley Welch
You have to worry about everything nowadays.
Host
Oh, yeah.
Haley Welch
Especially this past week. This past week has been so messy.
Host
Oh, it's been awful. It's been awful. That's definitely something that hit close. Hit close to home for me, just because I was literally supposed to be with Charlie every weekend in October. Oh, really? Yeah. So it was tough. But I think it's, like I said, it's not a left or right issue. It's literally a humanity issue.
Haley Welch
Like, there's so much evil out in the world, and that's what nobody wants to talk about either. They're like, oh, it's a matter of you're left or right. No, it's not.
Host
It's just good versus evil.
Haley Welch
Exactly.
Host
That's literally all it is right now. It's good versus evil. And unfortunately, we're seeing a lot of evil in this world. But at the same time, I talk about social media and how terrible it can be and, like, detrimental, but at the same time, you then are, like, scrolling and you see so much positivity and so much just talent and artistic ability. And so there is a really good side to social media.
Haley Welch
But at the same time, it's not though. Yeah. Like you can't tell what's fake anymore and what's not.
Host
But that's very. Like, I've been scrolling on TikTok and I've heard my voice and it's not even you. No, I'm like, I didn't say that. Like, that's not me. And it's all AI, every bit of it.
Haley Welch
And it looks real too. It's.
Host
Oh, it's insane. So where now, like, where are you at with what's next for you?
Haley Welch
So we've had talks about a documentary we're working on that we have a producer picked out, but we're still kind of getting into detail with that. And it's supposed to be a surprise, so I can't tell too much. And then this month we done a show with Chad. I said, shit. I was fixing to call him Chad. Glen Powell, he's doing Chad Powers. So we were in it for like a little second. But like, that was so much fun. I had so much fun.
Host
That's awesome. So what is that?
Haley Welch
It's like a. It's like a jock show kind of. It's going to be a show on. I think it's Hulu, but he done a whole TV series, I guess, and we got to be in like a little bit of it. But it's fun. It was a lot of fun.
Host
That's awesome. That's so exciting.

Haley Welch
I don't know if we, I think we could end up doing it again if we really wanted to. But as of right now, we're just kind of like, ah, let's see where everything else is going for sure.
Host
What would you like to do? What's like your dream?
Haley Welch
I don't know. I like, I really have confidence that me and Chelsea could do it by ourselves. Like just me and her. Now if we ever wanted to have a guest, sure, that's fine. Like sometimes we'll have a guest, but it's, I don't know, it's kind of a hassle having to like plan it out.
Host
Yeah.
Haley Welch
Which you know.
Host
Oh. Without even know I have a guest on every single show, so.
Haley Welch
Exactly.
Host
Luckily though, I'm like, since I am right here in Nashville, there's so many people, but people will fly in and I think it's just about like you have to be organized and you have to have your Time. So this is when I'm gonna travel. And when I travel, I'm gonna get the most of it. I'm gonna do four shows a day.
Haley Welch
Plan it all out at once and.
Host
Get it over with for sure.
Haley Welch
So do you live here?
Host
Yeah.
Haley Welch
Oh, man, look at you. Local girl.
Host
I do, I do. I love it. It is so much fun.
Haley Welch
Oh, you got everything to pick from up here.
Host
Yeah.
Haley Welch
You got so much stuff.
Sponsor Announcer
So with you and your.
Host
So you were working in a factory when all this happened? When did you stop working there?
Haley Welch
Well, I was a little nervous. I have a hard time with, like, confrontation.
Host
Yeah.
Haley Welch
It's just. I'd rather not do it. If I can't do it, that's fine. I'm okay with not doing it. But it's about two weeks. No, I'd say it's probably a little longer than that. Because I was, like, mortified, like, when that video blew up. Because, I mean, it wasn't going away.
Host
No, it wasn't going away. And especially, like, in the South. I hate to say it, but that was like. My grandmother heard it, and I had to explain it to her.
Haley Welch
Me, too.
Host
It. I was like, oh, no, this is my worst fear. Yeah. I was like that. Just, you know, it's like, how are.
Haley Welch
You supposed to tell your grandmother that?
Sponsor Announcer
Yeah.
Host
Like. But also, like, in the world of only fans and in the world of all this stuff, like, everything. And in certain parts of the country, like, certain things are normalized, certain things aren't.
Haley Welch
And now here in the south, they're like, what the hell?
Host
Yeah. Like, they're like, exactly. And so you were two weeks in, and how did your job handle?
Haley Welch
So I worked with nothing but older people. Me and my cousin were probably, like, the youngest ones there. She was like, a year younger than I was. So I was like, they're not going to see this. Like, it's going to hit Facebook, like, weeks later. We're good. Well, the one guy I worked with, he ended up seeing it. He was like, that's you. And I was like, I don't know who that is. But it ended up getting to the point. My manager at the time, after I started working with him, he was like, okay, we're going to start planning to travel. And I was like, no, I got a job. How am I. How am I supposed to do that? You know? But we ended up talking about. And I was like, well, if I'm going to be making money while, like, traveling, I was like, I'll quit my job. I was like, it's gonna shit on 400 and something dollars a week anyways, so, I mean, why not? So we ended up doing that, and I finally talked to my boss. I was like, and this is the holiest man I've ever met in my life. Like, I mean, just Jesus is saying right here, like, he's a little old man. He's real quiet and sweet. Never said anything out of his way. Him and his sweet wife, you know? And I finally told him. I was like, yeah, I'm probably gonna quit. This will probably be my last week. He's like, that's okay. He's like, I knew it was coming. And I was like, all right, well, see you later. So that was it.
Host
That is amazing. So he made it easy for you.
Haley Welch
He did. Which I didn't think.
Host
He just.
Haley Welch
He's not a mad person. Like, he was always a real sweet. You know, he tried to care, but.
Host
You worked in a factory, and what were you doing?
Haley Welch
You know? Springs. Like a mattress spring. Like the ones in vending machines? Yeah, I shipped those out.
Host
Okay.
Haley Welch
And I, like, packaged them up in boxes and stuff.
Host
No kidding.
Haley Welch
I didn't mind it. I liked it. It was peaceful in there. I got to work in a corner by myself. I liked it.
Host
You got to be by yourself in a corner. Life would probably be much more enjoyable in a corner somewhere by yourself.
Haley Welch
I agree. I agree 100%.
Host
So how many siblings do you have?
Haley Welch
So I have two brothers.
Host
Two brothers. Okay. And how did they react?
Haley Welch
They know how I am. They thought it was funny. I didn't tell the oldest one. I was like. I waited for him to send it to me. He's like, that's you? And I was like, yeah. And then the middle brother, he thinks I'm hilarious. Like, I'm telling you, I could sit here and stare at him. He's going to laugh like he's just one of those. He thinks I'm. I'm just the funniest person ever. But he's the same way. He's funny, too, but he thought it was hysterical.
Host
I don't know why this just came to my mind. But in the midst of all of this, who was, like, the craziest person that slid into your DMs?
Haley Welch
Let's see. I don't know. I had a heart attack when little baby text me, like, I actually had a stroke. He was like, hey, with a cowboy hat. And I said, oh, shit.
Host
Oh, shit.
Haley Welch
He never said anything back. So I was like, okay, we're. We're good. Like, that made me Nervous. I was like, what the hell does he want? What does he want?
Host
Okay, who else?
Haley Welch
Let's see. Bhad Bhabie. I love Bhad Bhabie.
Host
Stop.
Haley Welch
She's fun. And then who have we been talking to? Whoa. Vicky. I like Wo. Vicky, too. She's funny, too. And then I've had.
Host
I feel like they've got somebody on their mind.
Haley Welch
Oh, Sexy Red. I should have broke when Sexyy Red text me.
Host
I don't know who half the people. I don't know who half these people are.
Haley Welch
You don't know who Sexy Red is?
Host
No.
Haley Welch
My coochie pink. My booty ho brown. Like you haven't ever heard that. I'm so ser. Serious.
Host
No, no, you've never heard.
Haley Welch
You've really never heard her. You've had to hear, like, heard. You've had to have heard one of her songs.
Host
I. I genuinely can say without a matter of fact. I. Yeah, no, I've never.
Haley Welch
What kind of music do you listen to?
Host
Country music and Christian music.
Haley Welch
Okay.
Host
Yeah.
Haley Welch
So you get the idea.
Host
Yeah, but she's.
Haley Welch
I didn't. Rapper. Rapper. I guess she's kind of like. You've ever heard of Glorilla?
Host
Who?
Haley Welch
Okay.
Host
Social.
Haley Welch
Female rappers. This is great. Okay, so we need to. We need us a bulletin board.
Host
Female rappers.
Haley Welch
Yes.
Host
Okay. Who. Who I've heard of.
Haley Welch
Yes.
Host
Cardi B.
Haley Welch
Okay, so they're kind of in that area, but they're a little more rapper ish, if that makes sense.
Host
Gotcha. So, like, a little more crude and. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Haley Welch
And then, let's see. Tana. Tana Mojo. Love that girl.
Host
Who's that? Who's Tana Mojo?
Haley Welch
I love you. It makes me feel so good. Everybody's like, do you know this person? I'm like, no. You made me feel so much better. Like, I know, like, all the, like, bigger people.
Host
Yeah.
Haley Welch
That everybody would talk about. Now, some of the other people, like Leo Skeppy. I didn't know who Leo Skeppy was.
Host
I don't know who that is either.
Haley Welch
You would love him. He is so funny.
Host
Really?
Haley Welch
Gosh. Yes.

So who was there any, like, anyone in the country music world that reached out to you?
Haley Welch
Luke Bryan. I've been to Luke Bryan's house.
Host
Stop it. He's a blast. He and his wife are amazing.
Haley Welch
They done like their. Their little charity thing?
Host
Yep.
Haley Welch
At their house. We do that this past year. It was a lot of fun.
Host
They're awesome then. Such good people.
Haley Welch
What is his name? Oh, goodness. Dirk Spentley. I was like, oh, goodness. It's sweet.
Host
What did he say?
Haley Welch
Nothing really. He was like, you just keep doing your thing, you know? And I was like, you too?
Sponsor Announcer
You too.
Haley Welch
I know. I was scared to talk to him. I get scared talking to men. It don't matter who they are.
Host
Why?
Haley Welch
I don't know. I think it's like a confrontation thing. I'm like, what are they gonna say?
Host
Have you. So like you. Are you dating anyone or.
Haley Welch
Yeah, girl, I got my pookie.
Host
Oh, dear God. And where's he from?
Haley Welch
He's from, I think Centerville, Tennessee. Oh, you think Centerville? Yeah, that's what I call. It's. It's boonies. It's worse than like, where.
Host
How long have you been dating him?
Haley Welch
It'll be a year next month on the 4th.
Host
Oh, look at you, keeping up with dates and everything.
Haley Welch
Yeah, I got to. I'll feel bad if I don't because it'll be like, happy anniversary. I'm like, huh. I'm bad about that, but.
Host
Okay. So you're 21. How old, tea?
Haley Welch
25. Oh, that's not terrible.
Host
Trust me, that ain't.
Haley Welch
I like a good, mature man.
Host
Yeah, you and me both.
Haley Welch
Well, do you got a boyfriend or anything?
Host
You know, I like men that are significantly older.
Haley Welch
Older. How older?
Host
You know, say about 20 years older. It works great.
Haley Welch
That ain't bad. I mean, they've had time to mature.
Sponsor Announcer
Thank you.
Host
Thank you. I'm not. I'm not looking to raise a baby. I'm not looking, you know, like. Meaning a man. Not looking to raise a man. Not. I just am at a certain place in my life to where. If you can't meet me where I'm at or higher, then hit the road.
Haley Welch
Thank you. That's what they say, that the fruits had more time to ripen. There you go.
Host
The fruits have more time to ripen.
Haley Welch
There you go.
Host
See, I like that saying.
Haley Welch
See, you can use it.
Host
See, I'm using that one. That one's a pretty good one, so. That is hilarious. I didn't know y'.
Sponsor Announcer
All.
Host
I didn't know any of the people that she said, like, I think of.
Haley Welch
Who else? None of them. Have you heard of Jessie Murph?
Host
Oh, I love Jessie.
Haley Welch
I love Jessie Murph. I've talked to her a little bit.
Host
Really? See, that is. Isn't it crazy that, like, a Hawk Tua thing has brought all these people messaging you?
Haley Welch
It's kind of insane. Like, what's. What good's it gonna do? You texted me, like, you're out here singing and stuff. That's why you're famous. What the hell you texted me for?
Host
So are you afraid that, like, this. This spotlight is going to die out?
Haley Welch
Not really. I mean, if it does, it does, and if it don't, it don't. But, yeah, I'm just happy. I mean, I've done more things this past year than most people ever get to do in a lifetime. I'm just grateful to be here. And, I mean, I've had a hell of an experience. It's great. I gotta take my friends with me everywhere. It's fun.
Host
That's awesome. So when. Where's. Where's, like, the best place you've traveled to?
Haley Welch
Hawaii.
Host
Okay.
Haley Welch
I love Hawaii. I was sick the whole time we went, but it's just. Oh, it's beautiful.
Host
Okay. That is because coming from a small town, it's.
Haley Welch
It's unusual going to like these different places. Like, when I went to California, it's so different from here.
Host
Yeah. How is that?
Haley Welch
I mean, the first few times when I was like, oh, this is so neat. Now I'm just kind of burn out. We go there so much and I'm like, I could never live up there.
Host
And what are you doing when you're in California?
Haley Welch
We'll do interviews and stuff with.
Host
Okay. And who's your favorite person that you've had on your podcast?
Haley Welch
Wiz Khalifa, for sure.
Host
Stop it.
Haley Welch
I love Wiz Khalifa.
Host
That is hilarious. And what was that experience?
Haley Welch
Like, I was fried. Like, I'm so serious. That man. Oh, my gosh, he was. He's so cool, though. He's like. He's got so much wisdom. Like, really, he's such a cool guy. You would never know it about him. But when he gets to talking, you're like. Like, this guy over here, he knows his stuff. Like, he's cool.
Host
That is hilarious. Wiz Khalifa. How did that even come about?
Haley Welch
I don't know. Our manager, he got a hoath of him one day. I was like, I think we're gonna get whiz on the podcast. And I was like, huh? Like, there is no way. Sure enough, he come and I was like, get a load of this guy. He was. He is such a cool dude.
Host
That is amazing.
Haley Welch
And then, let's see. Tana. You don't know Tana. I'm sure you've seen her on Tick Tock. You've had to, you know, she got the long blonde hair, boyfriend, lives in Hawaii.
Host
She's had a blonde girl that dated Bella Thorne.
Haley Welch
Yeah, See, that's what I knew her from too. I'm glad somebody else knows that. Okay. Thank God. But she's. She's cool too.
Host
Yeah.
Haley Welch
For the most part.
Host
Yeah. Yeah. I just struggle with the half nakedness all over social media.
Haley Welch
Yeah. Which I think she does. Only fans.
Host
Yeah, I'm pretty sure. Almost positive. Yeah. Which. Hey. I mean.
Sponsor Announcer
And no place to judge.
Host
But I also say, like, what you put online is there forever. Kids are gonna see it, and I don't know if I want them seeing my, you know, my goodies.
Haley Welch
Yeah, I'm about with you there. I had that offer brought to me a lot too.
Host
And I'm like, that's. I was gonna ask, have you. How have people approached you about that?
Haley Welch
Like, they'll message me on Instagram. They're like, oh, we'll sign up for this and we'll pay you this. I'm like, me personally, I'm not comfortable like that. I'm very insecure as it is. I was like, I'm not getting naked, getting paid for it. I'm sorry, but it's just not happening.
Host
What's the amount of. What's the most amount of money someone's offered you?
Haley Welch
Well, I had some money. What do you call it? They commented on my TikTok the other day, and I just make goofy tiktoks and post them because why not? Somebody asked, how much for a fart in a jar? And I was like, what? I was like, well, it depends how much you're gonna pay for a fart in a jar.
Host
Stop it.
Haley Welch
People are sick. Like, what are you gonna do with it?
Host
Like, feet pics, underwear, bras, like, what.
Haley Welch
Do you get out of that? Like, feet picks? I don't get that at all.
Host
No. Some freaks. What. When someone reached out to you about doing only fans, what did they, like, offer you?
Haley Welch
I believe it was like, start off, like the, what they call it a sign on. Sign on bonus is like $500,000. And then they're like, you're gonna make so much more than that on our platform. Like, we're gonna take you to the very top. And I'm like, man, that's all right. I'll do other stuff to get some money. I ain't comfortable doing that.
Host
I mean, because, like, what do you. The content has to eventually run out.
Haley Welch
Well, see, that's my thing too. Like, it could be like this sacred space. Like, people can get on and they can see it with their own eyes and they can't, like, save it or.
Host
Anything, but they can't in the world we live in.
Sponsor Announcer
All they gotta do is have a.
Host
Phone and take a picture of it.
Haley Welch
Exactly. And I don't. No, that's not right. I don't think that's right personally. So I'm like, which? If you do it, that's all to you? I'm sure you got a whole bunch of money and whatever else. If that's what you're in it for, you do that. If you're comfortable doing it, have at it.
Host
But me, no, no. I will never forget my 18th birthday. Playboy reached out. So this was 10 years ago and wanted me to do it. And I was like, number one, have.
Haley Welch
You lost your mind?
Host
Number two, my father would off me. Like, that would never in a million years happen. But it's so crazy how these big Corporations kind of like, what am I looking for, Aaron? What's the word? Like, they. How they go after these young kids? Like, it's like, yeah. Like, these big corporations are, like, predatory in a way to where it's like, all right, the moment you turn 18, let's capitalize.
Haley Welch
They done that with. Have you ever heard of Piper Rock Hill?
Host
What do you think?
Haley Welch
Yeah.
Host
No.
Haley Welch
Okay. No, probably not, but. No, we had Playboy reach out to us, too. And I was like, no. Like, I remember going to my granddad's house, and if you'd shut the bathroom door, he'd have, like, the posters. Not the posters, the calendars on the back of his door. And I was like, what's up with this guy?
Host
Like, what's up with this guy?
Haley Welch
I went home, I was like, granny, why's Papa got naked women on the back of his door? And she was like, huh? She didn't know. And they were still married at the time. They lived in separate houses. But.
Host
Stop.
Haley Welch
Now they're divorced, and they still live beside each other.
Host
How does that work? I don't know.
Haley Welch
They're friends. They do better as friends than they do, like, being together. He went to prison for, I think, eight years. No, he shot a few cop cars. Oh, yeah.
Host
I wouldn't recommend doing that.
Haley Welch
Yeah.
Host
No. But, hey, everybody's got their.
Haley Welch
He's a chill guy, I'll give him that. He's such a chill guy. Well, now.
Host
Now, Yeah. I think life probably has a way of doing that to you.
Haley Welch
Exactly right.
Sponsor Announcer
Dear God.
Host
That is you. Your story. I mean, that's. It's insane. But it also shows, like, the power of social media. Like, good, bad, and different. Like, how powerful it is. Like, that's what I've said over the past week. Like, you see all this negative stuff, but it's like, every day, the power of social media. Like, all you have to do is click send, and then it's out there for millions and millions everywhere. Like, it's. It honestly scares me. Like, do you think when you have kids, you're gonna. Do you ever think you're gonna look back and have any regrets?
Haley Welch
I think what I'm most scared of, they're gonna be like, what does that mean? And I'm gonna be like. You know, that's a conversation when you get, like, a little bit older. I want my kids to be able to, like, tell me everything. If I ever have kids, I want them to tell me everything, you know, and not be, like, a friend or anything, but I want them to, like, be Able to trust me and.
Host
Yeah. And.
Haley Welch
Yeah, tell me anything. Oh, you're wanting to go out here and sleep with this boy. Okay, well, let's go put you on some birth control or something. Just, you know, being safe and. I don't know. I wanna.
Host
Okay, well, I don't. I'm not necessarily gonna react that way.
Haley Welch
But you're like, all right, get your ass in there.
Host
Yeah, no, yeah, yes. Staying inside. But you're also still 21, so I would encourage you to maybe look at that a little differently, probably. Yeah, you will.
Haley Welch
I'm sure I will. I say this until I actually have kids. I'm like, oh, no, get in the house.
Host
Exactly, exactly. Okay. So do you have anything fun coming up, like, career wise, for people to.
Haley Welch
We. I don't know if I'm allowed to say this, but I'm gonna say it. If I don't like it, that's too bad. So I'm gonna start streaming on Twitch.
Host
The.
Haley Welch
I think the 29th or the 30th. No, Glenn Powell is the 29th and Twitch is the 30th, I'm pretty sure.
Host
Okay, so what is Twitch?
Haley Welch
It's like where you live stream. Like, you play games and you spend.
Host
So much money live streaming, you don't do anything.
Haley Welch
You just play games. You set a camera up where people can watch.
Host
You.
Haley Welch
See, I'm trying to think about this. I know how to play Grand Theft Auto.
Host
Yeah.
Haley Welch
And let's see. Sims. I like the Sims.
Host
Okay.
Haley Welch
And then I like Mario Kart. See, I'm so uneducated. I don't know anything. Like, I've never been one to, like, just want to go and play video games on a computer. But now I'm like, you know what?
Host
Can't you live stream doing other things or is it just video games?
Haley Welch
You can livestream doing anything. Like if I'm in the kitchen cooking or something, I can live stream that if I wanted to. You can do anything.
Host
And how do you make money off of it?
Haley Welch
Your guess is as good as mine, I guess. How many people watch it?
Host
Like donations?
Haley Welch
Yeah, this guy's got it.
Host
That's great. I've never liked a stranger enough to donate to him.
Haley Welch
Well, see, that's kind of my thing about. I think it's kind of silly if you think about it. So I'm gonna try it and see if I like it or not. Yeah, I'm open to anything I like.
Host
I like donating to charitable causes, like are going through hard stuff or hardship or whatever, but somebody playing a Video game.
Haley Welch
See, that's kind of my thing too.
Host
I'm like, but hey, it's worth trying.
Haley Welch
That's what I'm thinking.
Host
Suckers get lame every day. Every day.
Haley Welch
Maybe it's me.
Host
It's true. I'm like, hey, if you want to pay me, pay me. There's your money.
Haley Welch
I can't stop you, man.
Host
I'm dying. Well, this was probably the most entertaining podcast I think I've had.
Haley Welch
Good deal.
Host
And I didn't know any of the people that you told me about. And that's. That's. Yeah, I don't think you're gonna like.
Haley Welch
Any of them if you look them up. Like, I'm being so serious. I don't think you're gonna like any of them if you look them up. You're gonna listen to one song I suggested from her and you're like, yeah.
Host
I don't do all the, like, cussing.
Haley Welch
And, yeah, that's exactly what it is.
Host
I'm all set.
Haley Welch
Yep. Don't listen to it then. Don't recommend it.
Host
That's your advice? You don't listen to any of those people.
Haley Welch
That's my advice to you.
Host
Thank you for coming on.
Haley Welch
Yes, ma'.
Host
Am.
Haley Welch
Thank you for having me.
Host
You just called me ma'.
Haley Welch
Am.
Host
Oh, my God, I feel old.
