Sid
Pubic hair is in.
TP
Oh, my God. No way. That was your intro.
Sid
No, but. No, but it is in, though, because I was on social media and people are saying that women. Women are back to just showing their bush. It may not be huge, but you are going to see something in surrounding areas. So when I saw that, I said, yeah, let me bring that up to tp. So. So is that something that you would sport or something you would rock? Hey, by the way.
TP
Hey, hey, hey, how we doing? Also, while we're talking about trends, I'm gonna use this time to be supportive and be like, you have a bush.
Sid
All right, do it Supportive. But matter of fact, what I wanna tell you about that, though, is they said people doing those things you're training AI on, like, how to take Sarcome. Why would you have me redo it like, all the. I know. Actually, I don't want you to do
TP
it, but I do want to hear no. That's probably going to confuse AI even more than what it already is. Because I have been seeing people do it, and I'm like, that doesn't seem confused to me. That's giving.
Sid
Excited some people. I'm like, that's not that.
TP
Y' all need to work on your acting.
Sid
Yeah, y' all do. We're just, like, understanding of terms, right?
TP
Because I'm like, wow, tp, we gotta nail this.
Sid
We told them two to three minutes for the intro. We got. We gotta get it. Would you sport the.
TP
Damn you.
Sid
The bush.
TP
Really want to know about my. My bush?
Sid
I'm like, hey, would you look, tv? Is there a bush or not? Do you.
TP
Wow, this is really, really setting the tone of the episode. You know, I don't think that, like, bushes are bad. I'm not against bushes. I wouldn't say that. Like, George Bush hates black people. Georgia. Georgia Bush. Anyway, speaking of Georgia bush, I don't know if I, like, would ever have on the apparel that would actually, like, whether I had the bush or not. You would be able to know that I had the bush.
Sid
Okay.
TP
So my bush would be well hidden. I'd have a secret bush.
Sid
Okay. But when the water goes up. When the water goes up, though, when you drop in there, somebody might get a peek of it. Or when you're getting out of the.
TP
Right.
Sid
Like, if it gets caught on my
TP
upper thigh, I'm, like, walking out the wall with some trouble. Like, oh, there's a little something on your. Don't say anything. Don't say anything. Don't say anything. But, no, I don't think that. I don't think that I would be able to confidently rock the bush.
Sid
Okay.
TP
People that can. I'm proud of you. It takes a lot.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
To do that. It takes a lot to grow it, to stick with the growth of the bush. Takes is a while, but I don't think that I could do it personally. What about you?
Sid
Yeah.
TP
What's your bush status?
Sid
Yeah, I'm like, pretty chill on it. Like, I'm an adult, so I'm good with some hair. I don't mind showing it. And, like, if I'm already in a relationship, I really don't have anybody out in public to be impressing or anything. So, like, yeah, why not?
TP
No. You used to come into the locker room and give, like, daily updates on, like, oh, it's outgrown. It's outgrown its last self. Yeah.
Sid
I'll be like, y' all really need to go get a wax. And then it's like, a month later. I'm like, I still need to go get that wax.
TP
You're gonna have to trim it now before you go in. I think there's, like, a threshold. Never did it. Also shout out to the women that go get brazilians and stuff. Like, that couldn't be me.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
Also to the people that tried to get into. Really?
Sid
Yeah.
TP
I feel like the girly girls in the locker room. The girly girls in the locker room be like, oh, it's nothing. Like, it's so easy. Like, once you do it a few times, you get used to it. I played basketball in Italy, and one time I got my legs waxed because it was €12 for my legs. And I was like, you know what? If I'm going to try a wax, might as well do it on a budget. And, like, most of my legs were fine, but when they got down to my ankles, it was, like, really tender skin. And I was, like, going to donkey kick them off the table. So I just knew that I couldn't be spreading my own cheeks to be able to take away the hair from my crevices.
Sid
I don't mind it. I'm usually, like, knees to chest, and I'm like, so do you, like, do you love what you do?
TP
But how'd you get into this?
Sid
How'd you take it to the theme song, man?
Unsupervised
Unsupervised. Unsupervised, Unsupervised. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. We say what we want and yeah, we say what we feel Sitting tmp of the mix and they be keeping it real on brand. Off topic out of pocket, anything you need, they got it watch you shout? We know they gonna block it when it's game time and you know I'm gonna block them and we cover everything like who harder than us? And yeah, we looking down on haters? Cause they smaller than us and yeah, my flow is so damn sick I be coughing it up. You said that we gone flat. Well, then I'm calling your bluff.
TP
All right, Sid, now that we got past the bushes, um, we're hopping into W Wide Web. It was a really big week for the W. A lot happened. And I'd like to start with your appearance on. What was it?
Sid
ESPN Countdown.
TP
ESPN Countdown?
Sid
Yeah, it was WNBA Countdown for the Golden State New York game, which was the last game that day, which, before we even get to that. That. The quadruple overtime. Did you see that one with Washington and.
TP
No.
Sid
In Portland?
TP
No.
Sid
Yeah. They said it was like it was the second quadruple overtime in. In W history, like, in all the 30 years. And. And the other team, actually, Washington was involved in that game, too. I'm like, that's kind of crazy. Washington was involved. I think they played. They played Seattle, I think.
TP
I don't know, the most overtimes you've been in. Just that three overtime at AU with the buzzer beater.
Sid
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
TP
See, that just seems like so much basketball.
Sid
Like, I know they played an extra. They played a whole extra half. 20, 20 more minutes of play. Carla late, the point guard, she hit like a. Off the backboard. Three, I think, to send it in, like, to the second overtime. She may have hit an. I don't remember if she hit one for the third or if Bridget Carlton hit the one for the third, honestly. But then Carla late, had the ball again at the end of the clock in the fourth one, and she missed. She missed like a little floater or something. I think so. Too little, too late. Sorry.
TP
Also, I just have to say that I'm.
Sid
Or, no, this one's better. She did it early, she couldn't do it late. I think that's a better one. Okay. Okay.
TP
I just like to say. Not that. I mean, maybe if I was on a team that got into a quadruple overtime, depending on the year in the league that I was in, could have got some minutes there. But also, there was a very high chance that I would have been looking at an ndp. Wait, is it a npd?
Sid
Dmp. Dmp? But you're dyslexic. I wasn't gonna say anything.
TP
I went all.
Sid
I literally stopped myself Mentally, I was like, oh, my gosh, she's so dyslexic. But then I was like, that wouldn't be nice to.
TP
No. Shout out to the dyslexic community and all the friends that keep us honest.
Sid
This. Can dyslexic people even read the word dyslexic properly? Usually, probably.
TP
At times, I feel like it's all. At times, like, sometimes it's no problem. And sometimes you're just like, well, what happened there?
Sid
What changes? Yeah, what changes?
TP
The way they. I don't know. You. Like, you don't even know that. You're like, I. Confident. Someone had to tell me that I've read numbers wrong so many times that I know that I read numbers wrong to where I read it three times in my head and then I say it out loud twice to make sure that, like, I didn't mess up. It's too much.
Sid
Yeah. Okay.
TP
It's a struggle that we don't really talk about, but. But it is tough, you know?
Sid
Yeah. Thank you.
TP
No, no, thank you. And now back to what we were talking about. Your espn. I got those in order. Yeah, your big ESPN moment.
Sid
Okay, so it was a really good show, or did you have a question?
TP
No, I just really love. I love watching you on tv because I just feel like you're an entertainer through and through. Like, I don't know what's gonna come out of your mouth, but it's always something that I'm like, this is good. This is so good.
Sid
Oh, when we started, before we started the show too, the producer coming to me asking, like, what I was gonna say for a certain segment or, like, what my opinion was or perspective was. It was like, just, you know, keep in mind it's a family, you know, or like, this is Disney. I was like, hey, man, you gotta either straight up tell me you don't want me to say something, because what is appropriate to me is not always appropriate to the next person. Like, I ended up saying booty hole on. On air. I was. We were talking about Candace. That's pretty pg, you know, I've been pretty chill. And they were like, wow, Sid, like, you've done a good job. I was like, yeah, I think too good of a job. Like, I've. I think I've been too pg. Yeah. So I was like, all right, I can at least get to PG13, I guess so. I was like, yeah. Candace had told us in Game 4 at New York, like, when it was looking, like, when they were getting nervy, we were making Our comeback. She was like, every time we came to the timeout, she was like, they booty hose getting tight? Booty hose getting tight. I was like, yeah, y' all can go look. Y' all can go look at the. At the, like, footage, the replay when we're coming to the bench. If you see Candace doing this, you
TP
say, we're making a tight. That's what she want to punch anybody. She's just simply stating that they have tight booty holes. That's all.
Sid
They get nervous. That's all it is. But it was really, really. Whoa. Katie said, did you let them know we let you scissor on air? No, I didn't tell him that, but it was really good.
TP
That's probably why they gave you the. The warning ahead of time, because they saw that you're comfortable scissoring on air, and they probably didn't want that.
Sid
Yeah, no, that's valid. It was a good show. It was with Hannah Storm, Draya Cheney. Just easy. Like, they. They talk in a way and, like, lead you in a way to where it's really. It's no big deal. I think that's like sons of good analysts and just Canada does a good job leading it. So it was really fun. The game was good. I don't know if you saw a ref set a screen on. On Rebecca Gardner in that game after, like, a jump ball. Yeah, he was trying to get out the way, but I was like, you had room to get out the way you like you set a screen.
TP
I think Caitlyn Chen used that screen perfectly, though. I also think that he was a bit moving, so missed that call. Sorry. Rebecca Gardner. You did get hit with a moving screen and nobody called it.
Sid
And then they went to score, too.
TP
Yeah, that's always the worst.
Sid
It's like.
TP
That's called. What's it called? What's the assist?
Sid
Like, interference?
Unsupervised
No.
Sid
Oh, not a hockey assist, but like
TP
an assist that you didn't actually assist, but it was a part of the play that got to the point of scoring, so in a roundabout way. And assist. So shout out to the refs.
Sid
Yeah, it was shout out to him, but we watched that game, and so we just gave, like, you know, our prediction before the game. I think we did. We were talking about some of the things that we have on the. On the list today and then what else? That was it. It was just fun. Like, I hadn't done it, I mean, since 8, since AU, but that was doing. That was doing color. So this was cool to me in studio, everybody Was real nice and encouraging and complimentary. So I was like, okay, well, have me back.
TP
All right, see you guys next week. Yeah, you just fly out there, like, waiting outside of the studio, be like, hey, our call time was about 15 minutes ago.
Sid
That would be nuts.
TP
That would be.
Sid
But it was fun. I had a good time. I had a good time. What was I about to ask you? Oh, okay. So we were covering some big headlines that are happening or, like, big things in the W that week. And obviously y' all are going to hear this in a few days, but me and TP gotta talk about it. Cause we missed last week. Did you see the New York LA game? Like, the repeat of the very first game?
TP
Yeah.
Sid
That Neca hitting that shot. I know that had to be. I totally understood seeing it. Why she was so emotional, for sure, just knowing what her career was in la. She went away, made the decision to come back. These are, like, two of the biggest franchises in the W. And she said game winners and big games before. So I just. I know that was, like.
TP
It had to.
Sid
That was a lot.
TP
Because also she. She. Neca's always carried, like, the league on her back. And also she's an emotional leader as well. Like, I remember times, like, in the bubble where she would just, like, have migraines and, like, headaches because of, like, how much stress was on her plate. Like, basketball was supposed to be the main thing, but we, like, we were just carrying social justice and running the bubble and keeping our own health safe and worry about your family and everything else that's happening in the world around us. Neca's just done so much for our league, and her hitting that shot and her getting interviewed after the game almost felt poetic.
Sid
It did.
TP
And also her words that she used and the words. Neca always has a. A really perfect way of, like, articulating that moment or every moment that she talks about, but specifically that moment, I think it was really special that she was highlighting the people that were also watching the game. Like, I know a lot of people that were on the original New York Liberty and. And LA Sparks team were in the building. Lisa Leslie, Teresa Weatherspoon, a lot of huge names in there. And, you know, Neca, in her speech, gave a little nod to them saying that, like, you know, they never got the thanks and the praise and the money during their tenure in the W, but they for sure paved the way for, you know, this current CBA to happen and for players to be getting the. Not only the money, but the notoriety and the publicity that they Deserve. And it was. You know, you could just feel the emotion running through her body when she answered that question. And she just does a really great job of, like, representing us as a whole and also just, like, articulating those moments in a way that only Neca can.
Sid
Yeah, yeah. A very thoughtful speaker, but that was. That was really cool. Shout out to Neca.
TP
So I don't think that it would be crazy to think that we could see Neca on a Hall of Fame ballad moving forward. Like, not everything that she did on the court, but specifically everything that she's carried us through off the court. It just seems like she's got her name just ready to go for, you know, a Hall of Fame type ballad. Anyway, so, speaking of hall of Famers, we actually have two of our greats on the ballot this year, Candace Parker and Elena Deladon. And I must say that these players, yeah, were transformational to the game. There's never been a player or players like them outside of maybe like, the Stewie of the World or like a Jonquil Jones, but they were the first. And Candace, I mean, I was an LSU fan growing up, so, like, growing up learning how to appreciate Candace's game, but hated when she played against LSU was, like, really tough. And Candace would, like, just make it look easy. 65 with point guard skills. That ball was on a string, and it's like, it's never been done before in sport, but she won Rookie of the Year and MVP of the league all in the same year.
Unsupervised
Year.
TP
That's crazy to me. That's absolutely insane to me.
Sid
Wait, was she defensive that year, too?
TP
I'm not even sure or.
Sid
No, that came later. No, she's. No. Speaking of having a ball on the string, one time I'm in a game, I can't remember if it was when I was with San Antonio or in like, 2019 or something with the Aces, maybe. But Candace is playing for the Sparks, so we're at Staples. It's a transition play, and I'm like, oh, hell yeah. I'm finna steal the ball from Candace Parker. So she's like, on the, like, right slot coming past half court. And I think I was either I was like, running backwards or doing a thing where somebody's coming from behind you so you kind of got to turn. But I think I was facing her, but I was about to do, because, you know, when Biggs are bringing it up the court, like, smaller, quick, people like me, we're going to time it like, we're going to steal the ball. From you before you get to where you're trying to go. So I like had her turn once, so I think she was going to the left, but I knew she was gonna come back to the right. So I didn't finish fully trying to cut her off to the left. Cause I was like, once she goes to the right, I'm about to pick it and then I'm gonna get it the other way and go. When she went from left to right and I'm thinking I'm about to pick it and go. She pulled that bitch back. So nasty. Behind her back, across me, I just had to go. I was just like, fuck, man. I was just watching my opportunity go by.
TP
There it goes behind the back.
Sid
Yeah. Sub like, yeah.
TP
I was about to say, did you get pulled out after that one or probably though, like, what are you supposed to do?
Sid
Exactly. I was trying to have that moment because back then people weren't taking like clips and putting them on their social media or anything. But I would have been putting it on the social media yesterday when she.
TP
And that's another thing about Candace and Ella there. There was really. Social media was either non existent or at the very early stages of these people don't know. This is when you would like post on Facebook, like every single picture. Like, the uglier the better. You were like, oh, did you see city last night? And she has got like cheetos up her nose. And you got like, the worse the picture was, the more you were like, I have to post it without an edit, without anything. We went from authenticity to like super screening that stuff.
Sid
Like maybe to like Valencia filter or some shit.
TP
It depends on how you were feeling. Like just to keep it spicy. But even like Della, like I played with Dela for a year and we were both coming off a back surgery and you know, I was just. I was ready a little bit more than she was and she was practicing with us. And this is the crazy thing about Della is she didn't have to come to practice. Like some players take their physical therapy time during practice. Like if you know you're not going to play, if you're not, you know you're not going to join the team for some time. Like, you don't have to be at practice. You take your physical therapy time. But Della would do her physical therapy before practice and then come and stand and watch us practice and then finish her physical therapy after practice so she could just be a part of the team and have her hand in, like what we were doing as a mystics team and, like, she always. Always was looking out for everybody. And, like, she was just a really nice person to be around. And I think that Della had this phenomenal career that, you know, she, like, quit basketball in college, went to go play volleyball, dominated volleyball, and then was like, I'm gonna come play basketball again, dominate at basketball, and then jumped in the wnba. Like, I don't know many people that could just be so dominant. Yeah.
Sid
And then just leave when they feel like. It's like her and Maya were kind of just like. I mean. Yeah, but I got other stuff that. That I like. Y. Y' all got this. Absolutely. You got it. And you ain't seen players like them since, like. Yeah. Delon was just different. Where she. Her release. Her release, how high it was, her touch on the ball, her skill set, her touch. It was just her and Candace were seeing players like that. Like, they don't understand now in the league. Candace and Delon and Amaya Moore right now in this league might be averaging, like, 30.
TP
Oh, my God.
Sid
Averaging 30?
TP
Absolutely. Because they're act. They're actually generational talent. Like, I can't. You can't compare anybody to what they've done outside of, like, themselves. And honestly, like, Della played through, even
Sid
though other players are great at what they do.
TP
Yeah.
Sid
It's just different from how their game was. So different, because, you know, people gonna take it and clip it and be like, oh, okay. There's a lot of great players in the league. Obviously, it's like professional women's basketball. But what they did at their size and with their skill sets was not something that.
TP
That we had seen, because back also. Back then, we were playing a very positional game, and they kind of brought this positionless type of player to the game of basketball. And not only positionless in terms of, like, one through three, like, guards, you could play point guard, you could play wing. Like, you're talking about a post player that could play one through five in both of these scenarios, and it's actually really insane. And, you know, in the W, I kind of, like, wish that I would have been able to see more of Della play because she was so dominant and so good at everything that she did. And she, you know, struggled with some injuries, and it's like, she was so dominant, playing through so much with these injuries that I just wish she. I wish we could have seen Adela injuryless, because it just, like, even with her injury, she was so dominant, so talented. Like, was a one of one. I think she. I don't know her exact Stat. But, like, her free throw percentage, her three point percentage, and her field goal percentage were the overall highest.
Sid
It was like 50, 40, 90.
TP
Yeah, it was insane. It was insane. But we're talking about people that, you know, really changed the game for players like me, specifically. Like, when I was younger, I wanted to play. I wanted to play guard. So I developed some guard skills. And, like, when you're the biggest on the team, they're like, get on the block. Which is fine, but also, like, there's more to just post play than, like, being on the block. And because they set the tone for a positionless player, like, it helped people like me understand, like, my value and where I can fall in line in the league and, like, what I bring to the table. So shout out to Candace and Della. Huge congrats. I can't even imagine how excited you guys are, because this is a huge, huge accomplishment and so well deserved. So getting into it, Sid, we're about to tap into reality tp and I'm gonna start off by saying it is really hard to talk about reality tv, especially Love island, because the episodes are so frequent, and the way that we edit, it takes a few days for us to record on a Monday and then release on a Thursday. So what I'm going to talk to you about today, Sid, is my issues with Love Island.
Sid
Okay.
TP
In totality.
Sid
All right.
Unsupervised
Okay.
TP
So I've been watching Love island probably since, like, season three or four, I can't really remember. And it's progressively gotten more raunchy. Like, we've gotten to a point at Love island, us, where it feels like soft porn if we're being completely honest. And I have a hard time, like, watching shows like this because I think that, like, dating shows or, like, social experiments, it's not real life. Not in any type of situation. Do you, like, have a romantic connection with somebody that millions of people are watching. And also, you're, like, in a villa where all you do is spend time with these 12 people over and over and over, every single day, the same thing over and over. So it's a social experiment, but we make it reality dating. And my issue is what is manufactured production just to, like, tap into a moment and what's actually the relationship that's happening. So with Love island this year, Casa Amore just recently happened. And Casa Amore for you soon is, you know, the. The Love island villa. And they wait, like, through more than halfway through the season for them to bring in Casa More. And that's when they split up the original housemates. The guys go to one place, and the girls go to the other place, and they bring in people to date these people. And you don't know what's going on with the girls, don't know what's going on with the guys, and guys don't know what's going on with the girls. And historically, the guys go and they participate in Casa More. And the girls sit back and they're
Sid
like, I hope my guys like dummies.
TP
Like, I really hope that they're looking. Oh, my gosh. We just hope.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
So the girls always come back heartbroken. And the boys are like. And also, Sid, there's this thing later on this season called movie night, because, again, this is all taped for television. And these people seem to forget that
Sid
they're on themselves on movie night with the things that happen. So the. The girls are now seeing what they actually did, but out of context.
TP
So sometimes they, like, make it seem worse than what it is. Sometimes it's, like, not as bad as what it is. It's like, it just really messes up.
Sid
It seems like punishment yourself on a show like this.
TP
Like, it is gotta be little humiliation
Sid
ritual for some people. Maybe that's like. Maybe that's their kink. I don't. I don't shame people, I guess. Yes, I do. Listen, I do. If you tell me some wild. I do. I do, for sure. I don't know why I said that. Yeah.
Unsupervised
Okay.
TP
So this year, Love island produced a little bit differently. They sent Caso more. Everybody left. It also happens as a surprise. There's no, like, planning. You can't be like, oh, I love you so much. Like, don't leave me. Don't break up with me when I go away. Like, they separate the guys and the girls, and then they just, like, take one and remove.
Sid
I'm so embarrassed for everybody involved who's acting like that. How long is this show? Isn't it some. Isn't it a couple months?
TP
It's like. It's like two months. Yeah, yeah. Yep. So this is how they did Casa More. They brought the guys and they did, like, a challenge. And by challenge, I just mean, again, soft porn.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
And then this. This specific challenge is called the heart rate challenge. So, like, I guess guys have on a heart rate monitor, and the girls come in, like, try to raise their heart rate. And they thought. The girls in the villa thought that they were going to be the ones raising their heart rate, when really they come out and there's just a big present, and they're like, oh, the boys
Sid
left Us a present.
TP
The boys left us a present. The present opens and it's a TV screen of the boys participating in the Heart Rate Challenge with six new bombshells that come into the villa.
Sid
Not them presenting. I don't know that they're seeing it.
TP
The guy. The guys don't know that it's recorded. Yeah.
Sid
Or that it's being shown to them.
TP
They're thinking they're going to go back
Sid
and then things will be good.
TP
They're probably thinking that the girls are doing the same challenge with their group of guys, etc, but because of the way that Love island is produced and historically how things have gone in Casa Amore, they got a little bit smarter. This year was like, you know what? We're going to show what the guys are doing early, so maybe the girls will participate in Casa More. Okay. So they show the guys. The guys are acting like they're literally at a bachelor party. I. If I were the bombshell girls that were coming in there, I would have been, like, really offended because they were just like, acting like they were just like pieces of me just trying to.
Sid
How many days do they have with them?
TP
Like, three or four days in Casa More.
Sid
Okay. Yeah.
TP
And these guys are like, gripping, like, the girls were saying that, like, these guys were gripping these girls butts. And their fingers were so close to their buttholes, their booty holes, as you would say.
Sid
So what do you mean?
TP
I'm like, so, like, they would do the challenge. One girl comes down and like, skippy outfits. She dances on all of them. She tries to raise her heart rate. She picks one that she likes the most. Okay, but when I tell you that these are challenges and this isn't just like, oh, this sounds like a really raunchy challenge. Every single challenge.
Sid
So. So who. Who's directing it, huh? Who said?
TP
I have no idea.
Sid
No, and I'm a look while you talking, you keep going.
TP
But that is not the worst challenge. Like, one. This is how a challenge goes, okay? It's like, hey, this is the challenge. You have to go under this waterfall, make out. Then you have to hump each other in this bowl of jello. And then you got to come out and eat a hot dog off of a stick and then make out some more in the shower. And then when you're done, you got to, like, make out and hump each other on the ground. And then you have to pick one person to insult what is. And that's the challenge. It's like, okay, they read a card. They're like, who's Most likely to get voted out next week. And they're like, oh, this is so hard. And, you know, this person has drama with somebody, but they're, like, sincere. Like, I don't see you making it to next week. And sincere's like, that's so crazy. Like, you could have picked anybody here.
Sid
Like, now it's beef with that person. Like, what?
TP
So, yeah. And also, you live with them. Like, you literally. They all sleep in the same bedroom. They're all doing these things. So they produce casa more to. To, like, show the women, like, hey, these were the guys are doing during their time away so that they go
Sid
have sex with the guys or they. They go do stuff too. They just wanted everybody having sex on the show, basically.
TP
Pretty. Pretty much.
Sid
But I do think.
TP
I don't.
Sid
I do think this speaks to a larger problem with your average viewer, though. Like, people are very voyeuristic and act like they aren't. But, like, when I'm watching a show, I don't need to see all this sex all the time. Sometimes it can be implied. Sometimes you can open a. Whatever. That's an implication. Like, oh, the door opens, and then it closes. They were kissing and walking. We know what's about to happen. I feel like, Mm. People might take this the wrong way. Whatever. Some people like raunchy, trashy tv. I feel like it's weird to watch a show at this. At this level, because I think that the people making it think they're so stupid. We can't ever have any substance on this show. Like, they can't talk and get to know one another. Like, it's been. It's been 20 seconds. They got to have sex. It's like, whoa, I can hold my attention for longer than that. They can. They can just chat for a little.
TP
Like, then this is, like, something that's. This is my first time ever watching Love Island US and Love Island UK simultaneously.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
And there's a stark difference in the way that UK is produced versus the way that US is produced.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
US is hypersexualized. And every challenge has to do with, like, making out and slapping ass and, like, being raunchy. And uk, there are more so focused on, like, the friendship building, the relationship building. Like, the first challenge in uk, this is literally the challenge. Like, I'm not even gonna make this up. They squirted oil on themselves. They slid down a slide filled with water. They then got out. They picked a wine glass that said, like, a question, like, who do you think slept with the most partners? And then they have to, like, pick somebody and then they throw the glass on that person, then they rip it off. And if it's not that person, then they're like, oh, I can't believe it was you. They talk about it and they. There was no making out.
Sid
Wait, but do they.
TP
Okay, but this is just the first challenge. Like, this is. I just got to the first challenge and I'm like, not one person has kissed outside of a challenge yet. And in love. I literally America so trash doing soft porn. Like, it really is so intense.
Sid
Yeah. Yeah.
TP
Like, they were sucking toes in a challenge. What?
Sid
There was a man sucking toes at the New York City parade. He was sucking a woman's toes. And do you know how disgusting you have to be to be outside at a parade in New York when it was probably 80 something degrees? If she had on shoes before the shoes were sweating, if there were socks involved, I don't know the levels. I didn't see the beforehand to know if this deviant pulled off socks and a shoe to suck her feet like that. But you know how much you. You know how little respect you have to have for your mouth to put a stranger's feet in your mouth. But what were you saying, though?
TP
I. Yet what were you saying?
Sid
Just it all that pissed me off,
TP
I guess. Like, what I'm trying to get to is like, I feel like Love island is just a microcosm of like, what we feel just generally with misogyny like this. Also, this season hasn't been, like, quote, very good according to, like, people on the Internet. But I think it's because, like, we're not seeing men be chivalrous. We're not seeing men lay their all to try to pursue a woman that they're interested in. Men, especially men on Love island would rather not try than to get publicly rejected.
Sid
They're like red pills on there. They're like pushing red pill talking points, but they're with the girls, trying to sleep with the girls. It's like, wait, what?
TP
Like, there's Court, this guy named Corbin. Corbin. And Kenzie, to me, these are just names to you, but for everyone. Yeah, well, Kenzie just drops into a split anytime she gets and they both like, just make out with the next person that walks in the middle. And it's just like, kind of uncomfortable. It really is uncomfortable because I'm like, we're following these conversations. And again, this is why I'm bringing up, like, what's manufactured and what's real. Like, what are the producers drawing our attention to and making A storyline or is this the actual storyline? Because it's just really insane to see these people just move on from a, a connection. Also like a physical connection too. Like if you get to the point where you're kissing somebody, especially on tv, it's not like you can take this back. It's not like it's a secret. You and everybody in the villa and also millions of people watching know that you're partaking in this. It's not, it's not like a secret. So having, having like these men specifically just treat this situation like you don't know how to talk to women, you don't know how to communicate to women. You don't know how to not have a double standard on. If I do this and then she does this, why does she get checked and I don't get checked? Like in terms of maybe her talking to another guy when he went to talk to another girl or something like that. Like it's just not what and what in so many experiences and Love Island UK I feel like is more at least my speed because I'm not here for the voyeurism. I was just here because I like, I like to see what people do like in their free time. Also uk, I feel like target's a little bit older of a crowd.
Sid
Okay.
TP
US targets like people right out of college, like 21 to 25 year olds.
Sid
And UK is probably moving like 24. They want to see to 30.
TP
Yeah. And also UK, UK people have, they have regular jobs. Like there's a people, there's one girl that's a detective, there's another girl that's a, or one guy that's a detective or a girl that's a detective. One guy is a carpenter. Like you just have people that have regular jobs. And on us it's like I'm a model, I'm an influencer, I'm a physical trainer. Like it's very like physique and like looks based professions and like the people in UK are like really pretty as well, like really gorgeous people. But like they just feel like a lot more regular and you can sell in their conversation. Like it doesn't get us heated. Because also when like you get physical and like physical romance gets involved, I feel like especially for women that might take it to another level for you. But when you're bringing in people and you're making out with every member of the house and challenge, you can't differentiate.
Sid
Yeah. You can't tell who you like. You just sleeping with everybody, you attached to everybody. Maybe Have a conversation. What's his middle name?
Unsupervised
Hmm?
Sid
Did he ask you yours? Did he ask you about your upbringing? Do y' all learn a single thing of substance, or do you decide based on who had the best dick? And you decide based on who was the best lay, you know, out of the women? That's how you're. That's how people pick people in real life. And people are, like, confused when there are issues later. You don't. I don't know how else to say this. You don't know them.
TP
That's. You don't know if you can compatibly.
Sid
You have to go with, to me, a thinking person, a reasonable person. You need to go without sex for a little while, dealing with somebody so that I can ascertain do I like this person. Really? As simple as that? Without any thing physical involved. Hey, everybody stop where you are in your relationship right now. Decide whenever we are not having sex, do I like this person? I fear. Oh, my God.
TP
I feel.
Sid
You don't know this. If you don't like them when you're not having sex, that's not a good sign, and that might not be the person for you.
TP
So anybody watching this don't take Love island for dating advice. Like, don't think what they're doing on the show is good if you are dating. Please, please. Yeah, just actually, whatever they're doing, don't do.
Sid
Don't do. Whatever they're doing, don't do. Just. You know what, what we'll say is, respect yourself.
TP
Respect yourself. And when you have boundaries, have boundaries
Sid
and you'll be good.
TP
Communicate them. And also, don't let anyone, like, give you something less than what you deserve.
Sid
Love that. Love that. Okay, that was iconic. And speaking of icons, ooh, I like that transition. Lauren Hill got honored at the BET Awards. She got the Living Legend Icon award, as she should have. Wait, wait. She looks so good. She looks so good. Tierra Whack and Tim's did a performance. And so, you know, we had Archie girl, Tierra, y'. All, listen, listen, listen. This is why TP saying oh. Cause I called her pretty soon after. I'm staying at the hotel where all the BET Awards stuff is going on or, like, where all the people are staying. So. But I'm there for WNBA Countdown. So I was going down in the lobby to. I forgot. Do what? Go meet. Go walk over to Countdown. I saw Tim's like, you're coming out the elevator area. You know how it is at the jw. You're coming out the elevator area. When you make that left, like, then you're starting to see people. So I'm walking, and I see a group of black women walking toward me. But I can't tell who it is because it's like, the first figure, and they're kind of in V formation a little bit. The first figure, the way the lighting was, she was dark before she hit a certain point, and then she got lighter. So when she got lighter, I was right here. And when I looked, I. I did a. I did a double take. Cause I was like, that's Tim's. My mouth actually dropped.
TP
There was a glow to the light.
Sid
She was glowing. It was majestic. I did a double take, and my mouth did drop a little bit. I was like. And then I was like, what? Don't do that.
TP
We're obsessed with Tim's.
Sid
Pretty soon after we were on the phone, I was like, girl, guess who I saw.
TP
You have no idea who I just saw.
Sid
But anyways, I didn't get to y'.
Unsupervised
All.
TP
Just so you know, I was wrong.
Sid
Lauryn Hill's speech was so good. She was talking to. I mean, obviously, like, it's a BET Award. So she's talking to black people, and she's talking about how when she made this album, she was thinking of our people. She's like, I want y' all to know, when I made this, I was thinking of y'. All. It's about us as a people. It's about the love that I have for y', all, how I wanna see y' all live. What. How I want us to respect one another and use your art to have a message and to uplift people. Like, and she's saying all that to an audience of people who. I hope they're sitting there feeling like, damn, my art, my music don't mean shit. I don't never have a fucking message. Like, I hope y' all understood some of y'. All. She's like, you know, every now and then, you gotta say something of substance. There's no way you don't have shit to say. Like, so she's like, respect each other. Respect the art, the craft, and let your light shine, no matter how this world tries to dim it and not let us shine. And it was just. It was really powerful from somebody who wrote such an impactful album that this woman never had to make another album. She's so. She's so talented. Like, when you talk about timeless music, the miseducation of Lauryn Hill is really not to be fudged with. She just dipped she dipped like Maya, like, I'm good. You know what I'm saying? Like, I might pop out every now and then, but, like. And she acts. She's. She's just. She's gifted.
TP
She's. She's so gifted. And like, one of my favorite parts of her speech was she was just talking about, like, everybody has a gift, and she used her gift through music. But everybody has a gift. And somebody needs to hear your gift or see your gift to make their life better. So share your gift with others. It's so important to be able to. Yeah. Hone in on your talent and on your gift. But if your gift is music, if your gift is fashion, if your gift is hair, if your gift is art, if your gift is sport, if your gift is just compassion, if your gift is consoling somebody.
Sid
Yep. I love when she.
TP
You need to exercise that gift. Because we're in a place in the world where we're. We're not feeling these gifts, we're not seeing them, and we have a lot of negativity surrounding us. So, like, her message was just so powerful. And also this comes from a woman of substance. Her only album had so much substance in her lyrics and in. And the way that she poured her voice out into these songs like it is for everybody. My mom had a random playlist going. We were just going through random stuff. And she had so many Lauryn Hill songs. And I didn't know that my mom was a Lauryn Hill fan. My mom was singing every single Lauryn Hill. And my mom is. I can't say how old she is. Cause she'll slap me, but she's a white woman that's way older than me. My little bit mom. Love you so much. But the music can impact literally any single person. And it just shows that, like, a little bit can go a long way. And a resounding message of compassion and love can carry throughout decades and decades of hardship and trials and tribulations. And she's just a woman that just. You can just feel her power in the way that she stood on that mic and spoke. And, you know, it's crazy that she has like 23 year olds and like kids that just graduated from college.
Sid
Like, it's just really now the joy of my world is in Zion. We love you, Lauryn Hill.
TP
I would give yours like a B minus.
Sid
I'll take it.
TP
Yeah, no, it wasn't bad. I thought you was gonna say yeah, like Lauren Hills. And A. I'd give you B.
Sid
That thing. That thing. That thing.
TP
Okay. Are you still looking for grades or. B, that was more your octave.
Sid
So that was me. And that was me.
TP
Yeah.
Sid
Okay. Okay.
TP
It was a little strenuous on your vocal cords.
Sid
Oh, was it?
TP
Respectfully, yeah. Anyway. Shout out to you, Lauryn Hill. Shout out to you, Tierra Whack all of our favorite girls. Oh, man, what a weekend for you. You got to see Tims.
Sid
Oh, my God.
TP
We still got to go see her in concert. You know what, Thames, if you want to come on the pod, we'd love to have you.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
No, Tim, Sierra, Lauryn Hill, we love y' all so much. Please come and join us.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
That's really all we can say. I know you're so busy and stuff, but have you.
Sid
Okay, so, tp, I'm so excited for the fifth, because, you guessed it, we're coaching.
TP
Everyone's like, what are you guys coaching? Let me just tell you. It's not basketball.
Sid
Lacrosse, y'. All. We're doing the Women's Lacrosse League All Star game. For some reason, they wanted us involved, and we were like. I was like, hey, they know. We don't know about it. They're like, yeah, yeah, they're good with that. I was like, then I'm good with it. Yeah, we'll do it. What?
TP
We're gonna coach ourselves up the best that we can.
Sid
Yeah, we will. We will. We're gonna be the Faces of lacrosse.
TP
Oh, it's a. I mean, the face of the W. That was a hard title to carry. Now, Faces of the Cross, like or no?
Sid
Are we gonna. Are we gonna find the next Faces of the league in lacrosse?
TP
I think we can.
Sid
I think we could do that. That's what it was.
TP
I'm like, we're about to.
Sid
We can't go into the trap. Take over the trap. Yeah. Yeah. We're gonna be miked up, though.
TP
We're gonna be miked up. So it's gonna be live on July 5th on ESPN2. We'll be hosting or coaching, I guess you could say the Wll All Star Game. Team Izzy versus Team Humphrey. Team Izzy and I will be Team Humphrey, and we know nothing about lacrosse, really. But all I know is that, like, we're probably gonna win just the way that the rosters are looking and the coaches are looking. I just feel more confident and seem. Humphrey, do you even know the rosters? No.
Sid
More.
TP
So just talking about the coaching, I'm like. It kind of seems like a sport where, like. Yeah, I don't really know.
Sid
I don't know. I'm passionate that our team is going to win. Because I've never seen no shit like this. And when I was leaving from my hotel to walk to the subway to get here, you know, they got. In New York, they'll just randomly have. It's a basketball court, and then it's a building. It's like, damn. Like, they really just fit, you know that in there? So there was a basketball court, and there was another court right in front of it. A girl had her lacrosse stick, was throwing the ball against the wall and catching it, and I said, I'm gonna win this game. This.
TP
That girl inspired me.
Sid
That was a. If. If nothing else, TP When I tell you, never in my life have I seen anybody practicing lacrosse on their own. Outside. Yeah, I've never seen that. You see people playing pickup. You see people doing soccer, Some other stuff. Like, I've never seen this.
TP
But I do just want to tell you, like, I do know a little bit more about lacrosse than you do. Like, I know that there's a. I know that there's, like, cradle the ball
Sid
instead of dribble, like, for you things as well. Every. Everything that you said, I was already saying, like, you haven't said anything different that I didn't know about lacrosse beforehand. Every. Everything you just mentioned, I'm like, that's the thing. I knew Crest curly instead of to not dribble.
TP
No. It seems like we're gonna be pretty evenly matched going into these locker rooms.
Sid
I'm gonna hit up mirror, though, for some lingo.
TP
No, no, I'm gonna Mirror. No, I'm texting her right now. I'm actually gonna call her. Imagine, like, I'm trying to get to it as quickly as possible, but I just have, like, full belief in team Humphrey, and I'm gonna come up with some really good cheers. Like, I haven't been able to do two bits, four bits, six bits, a dollar, all for the Humphreys. Stand up and holler.
Sid
All right, what's something you're gonna do to hype your team up?
TP
Um, I'm just gonna, like, make sure I'm using, like, really inspirational quotes, such as, together, everyone. We all know it. We all know it. There's no I in team, but there's a me. You know, some of the greats, the ones that have been forever, put in movies, and we can always, like, go. I'm gonna actually have to rewatch the movie Rebound with Martin Lawrence to, like, get some really good coaching points. And if you haven't watched Rebound, make sure that you are watching it. Before next week. So you know what quotes I'm talking about. Bless you. Basketball Babies is one of my favorite. What about you? And you can't take any of mine.
Sid
Nothing. I'm just gonna tell them, y', all like, you're meant to be here. Unless you were an alternative and somebody got hurt and then they had to replace you with them. It wasn't meant to be initially, but you are still here. That matters. Let's go out there and get this shit done. Like, take this shit with some pride, you know?
TP
Well, it seems like we're going to be pretty evenly matched with our different coaching styles. Other really exciting news for us, sid, on Saturday, July 18th at 2pm, we will be doing a live pod at Fanatics Fest. We'll be on the dick stage, which is kind of ironic.
Sid
Sit on it. No, I don't want to sit on the stage. I'm scared to sit on the dick stage.
TP
So we might not actually show for it. But, hey, thank you for the opportunity.
Sid
We're just like, hovering over the stage. We never sit down. We're kind of just like. No, like, we good. We'll just.
TP
We're in front of the stage. We're just like hanging out with the babysitters. But yeah, if you're in New York for Fanatics Fest, come check us out. That's July, 2:00pm Say that.
Sid
Say, come fuck with us.
TP
Come fuck with us.
Sid
Don't say the teeth. Say, come with us.
TP
Can't fuck with us. Good, we'll work on it. So, Sid, it's our favorite time of the episode where we go down in the dm. It go down. It go down in the dm. It go down. Echo down.
Sid
All right, so we got a DM from coach Sarah Salama. Hey, Sidd and tp. I think I'm pronouncing that right. Hey, Sidd and tp. My name is Sarah. I'm a high school basketball coach in Texas and a huge fan of this show. I'm always trying to convince the players on my team to tune into the podcast. I'm basically a brand ambassador at this point. Thank you. We appreciate that.
TP
Thank you for your work.
Sid
Thank you for your work. I want to start off by saying, sorry, but you can keep that in. I want to start off because people burp. I want to start off by saying, I wish you all would make like six to eight hour long podcast episodes that I can listen, watch the pod all day long. I am not an audio viewer.
TP
Oh, no. Not stirring the pot.
Sid
I'm a video Watcher. Like a civilized human being. Y' all are the highlight of my week, and I feel like y' all are my real life friends, even though we don't know each other.
Unsupervised
That's love.
Sid
That's how it's supposed to feel. Let me get to my question, because I could go on forever about how amazing y' all are. Question. We do appreciate that. If you were arrested with no explanation, what would your friends assume you did?
TP
That's a. This is a hilarious question. And to be honest, like, I don't know what kind of crime I think that I would look guilty of. So sit. As my friend.
Sid
Yeah, yeah, yeah. You want to know what I think?
TP
Going to jail for.
Sid
I feel like you would go to jail for protesting something for, like, a cause I didn't even know that you were passionate about. I'm like, you're out here for this, like, squirrel.
TP
Save the manatees. No, for real. Save the manatees, though. They're so cute. But I've never protested that, you know,
Sid
But I feel like it would be something like that. I'm like, damn. Like, I didn't know TP was, you know, like, passionate about sea otters, but
TP
wildlife rights.
Sid
It's like, we told you. We told you how dangerous sea otters are, and you're. You got arrested for them. We told you. Marty told you they eat their babies for lunch, and you still protested for them and got arrested. I wouldn't bail you out either, Sarah. That's what she would be there for. And I'm not bailing her out because we told you.
TP
Okay, Sarah.
Sid
What would I do?
TP
I feel like this is, like, pretty simple. I could see you getting in trouble for, like, streaking. I don't even know why you would streak. You've never, to my knowledge, have streaked before in your life. But I just don't see you doing anything else besides doing that. So that's crazy.
Sid
That's a crazy go to.
TP
You know those people that, like, bet on them bet that there's gonna be a streaker at the game.
Sid
Yeah, it's me.
TP
And then bail themselves out with their winnings, and they're like, yeah, I still got to pocket a hundred thou, too. Like, thanks. I could see you potentially. Like, I think that you would streak with the purpose. You would streak with.
Sid
Like, there would be a message on my back, and there will be a message on my.
TP
Exactly.
Sid
Yeah. It's a call to action. It's like, a call to action, but it's too long. Like, it's too long. So people can't read it from so far. They're like, wait, what she want us to do?
TP
Bikini bushes are back, baby. You're, like, passionately running through the beaches of south beach and, like, you're, like, getting chased down by, like, overweight cops that, like, just can't. I love when they send the people that can't catch the person that's doing the crime. Like, that would be you because you're very agile and you're quick.
Sid
That's crazy. And then one of them, like, lunges at me to, like, catch me, but, like, rips my pubic hair off or something because they're, like, going for my leg to get me, but it yanks my hair. And then I just stand out running.
TP
You would just stunt you for a second. And then a pedestrian comes from the side, and a pedestrian completely takes you out and does the citizens arrest
Sid
also?
TP
I wouldn't find out through you. I would find out through TV of them, like, covering this incident. I'd be like, wow, what a freak.
Sid
Former disgraced WNBA player who averaged 0.4
TP
points of the league, showing the face of her body very forwardly. They say your nipples are the eyes of your body, so, hey, let them shine, baby.
Sid
Sarah, I hope this is Sarah.
TP
Thank you for your question. I learned a lot about Sid today.
Sid
Thank you. Thank you so much, Sarah. Y', all, please ask us more questions like that. We like random.
TP
That's hilarious.
Sid
Funny like that. And you just provided us with a laugh, which moves you up in our list of favorites for babysitter. Y' all have to know.
TP
And thank you for being an ambassador.
Sid
The more that we learn about y', all, there are favorites. When parents are like, no, I love them all the same. You can't.
Unsupervised
Okay?
Sid
You can't. So thank you, Sarah. Thank you. Babysitters, y'. All. You know what to do. If you want any advice, because you can tell we're sane people, just let us know. TP

Unsupervised
Unsupervised. Unsupervised. Unsupervised. Yeah. Yes.
Sid

Unsupervised

Watch you shop when you know they going to block it, when it's game time and you know I'm going to block them. And we cover everything like who harder than us and yeah we looking down on haters cuz they smaller than us. And yeah my flow is so damn sick I be coughing it up. You said that we going flat. Well then I'm calling your blood supervised. Unsupervised. Unsupervised,
