TP
Sid. Really exciting weekend for me. I attended my godchild three.
Sid
You know, say hey first. Hey.
TP
No, because I just have to get straight into the story. It was humbling. Also, it made me, like, look at the world differently moving forward. I'm like, yeah, kids really are the future. Okay.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
My godchild, Luca, he turned three. Happy birthday to you, Luca. We had a monster truck birthday party at this, like, spacewalk place or just, like, a bunch of spacewalks. And were you involved with the party? I had nothing to do with the party planning. I. I just. I'm the godmother. I show up with, like, cool gifts and, like, I'm a good time. So, like, I. I am a gift, I guess.
Sid
Okay.
TP
So for all those. I guess spacewalk is like a Southern thing. It's called, like, a bounce house or, like, whatever you guys call it in other parts of the world. It's like an inflatable bounce house. Okay. So Luca is my. My college friend Tammy's son. Her. She played softball at lsu. Her teammate, her name's Lauren. She brought her daughter, and her daughter's name is Rhea. And Raya was like, hey, do you want to go play in the castle? And I was like, yeah, let's go play in the castle. So we go to the castle. Rhea is about, I would say, like, six maybe. So we're in the castle. She's immediately disappointed that I'm not, like, participating in, like, the jumping that's supposed to happen in the bounce house. I'm just kind of like, oh. She's like, let's do gymnastics. And I was like, oh, I don't know if I'm a gymnastics girly. Like, look at my stature alone. She was like, yeah, you're big. We're on the same page. So I was allowed to sit out of the gymnastics. We're having fun, and fun draws a crowd, right? So all of a sudden, it was me and Raya, and then now we have, like, five or six kids in the castle.
Sid
Did you also have the Last Dragon? That's a Raya last dragon joke.
TP
Thank you so much for that, Sid.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
No, there was just children, and it's me and the children. All the children are doing gymnastics. Everyone's hitting a gymnastics move, the Flamingo, where you stand on one foot, you have to go like this, and with your other hand, hold your foot behind you.
Sid
Oh.
TP
But each kid would go first, and they would announce their. Their move, their gymnastics move. And then everybody would, like, go one at a time and try to reenact
Sid
what gymnastics they were doing horse with the move.
TP
Gymnastics horse.
Sid
Gymnastics horse. Okay, all right.
TP
So everybody's having a really good time. We're all having fun. We get back to the front and this girl's like, I have a question. And she's like, are you a boy or a girl? And I was like, I'm a girl. What about you? And she said, I'm a girl. And all of a sudden, Raya, she was like, I'm a girl too. And then the third girl was like, I'm also a girl.
Sid
And then the next kid was like, I'm a girl.
TP
And this boy was like, I'm a boy. And then the girl was like, I'm a girl. So now we're back to the first kid and she's like, if you're a girl, then why is your voice so deep? I don't really know. And she said, okay. And then all of a sudden, we just got back to our gymnastics. Like, we just kept going. Like everybody. All questions were asked. Everybody, everybody was seen for who they were, and we all just kept on going. Gymnastics continued. It ended up being a really great party. And everybody got to be the gender of their choice. And it was so great.
Sid
I love kids.
TP
So shout out to the five and six year olds of the world. You are the future. Keep an open mind and a big heart. Let's bring it to the theme song. Y' all.
Guest Rapper
Sitting TMP in the mix and they be keeping it real on brand, off topic, out of pocket, anything you need, they got it. Why don't you shop when you know
Sid
they gonna block it?
Guest Rapper
When it's game time and you know I'm gonna black. And they recover everything like whoa, who harder than us? And yeah we looking down on haters. Cause they smaller than us and yeah my flow is so damn sick I be coughing it up. You said that we going flat more than I'm calling your blood.
Sid
So I was hanging out with my nieces and nephews, like my family all weekend. Cuz my sister's oldest daughter, Logan, she had a piano recital. Killed the el. Then my brothers, obviously oldest son sj killed it too. He did two songs. Yeah, they both been. Been in piano for like a couple years. They're just so impressive. Like, they do such a good job. So we would like go out to eat afterwards, you know, hang out. But I found out that my sister's youngest. Who's the youngest out of all the kids. So out of all five kids, he's 2 years old. He's a class clown.
TP
No way. You got your wish. You got very patient. Whoa.
Sid
I knew we were going. How do you.
TP
How do you know that he's a class clown? Like, for sure, though.
Sid
Okay.
TP
They're all kind of funny. They're all funny.
Sid
They're all funny. They're all hilarious. To give you a little insight, my sister's oldest daughter, I. I should have never started with her. I already told y' all about Logan before, but from the moment I walk into Simone's house, like, into their house, when my foot hits that first stair, she's talking shit to me. I mean, immediately it's jokes. She's freestyling on me. And this is my bad, because freestyling in Houston is, like, a very, like, common thing. When we leave a gathering, like, I'm a freestyle with my friends, and at the car in the parking lot or something, we playing some music or no music, whatever. Like, we're. That's just. That's how we do. I would make her, like, start practicing when she was young because it also. It just makes you quick. You got to know a lot of words. You got to know how to rhyme. Like, it's educational. She has twisted this on his head and used it against me. So she just talks. She makes jokes at me, but also talks shit about me. Through freestyling. My brother is education.
TP
You probably within the next three years, but, yeah, keep going.
Sid
So my brother's. My brother's oldest, sj. Very smart. Like, they're all very smart kids. But he's just very blunt and matter of fact in what he says. Like, the other day, they were saying that he told. He, like, laughed at a girl in class because she didn't know something. He was like, oh, my God. How do you not know that? And Simone asked his mom, Justin, like, well, what was it that the girl didn't know in class? He was like, she didn't know what is a fixed expense was. Mind you, they're 10, so there are adults who don't know what a fixed expense is. But that's just an example to you. Like, he's just gonna say what it is so it could come across mean. But he's funny to me. And then his little sister let me
TP
know the definition before I see sj, too.
Sid
Exactly. Exactly.
TP
Tighten that up a little bit.
Sid
His little sister is a riot.
TP
Hilarious.
Sid
So is my daughter's sister. But anyways, finding out that. That Lewis was a class clown, he's always, like, doing stuff like this in front of the class, and he gets in trouble, but they eat it up. I was like, this is really, really nice to hear that. The legacy.
TP
I mean, it also wasn't very shocking because, like, y' all look alike.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
You and Lewis, I feel like, are spitting images of one another. So it is kind of scary that he's now developing a very similar personality to you as well. Like, are we gonna have a city Junior, in the next couple years?
Sid
I don't know. I thought I was gonna have kids. I was getting nervous that there wasn't gonna be a clown. But there is. But I'm saying all that to say, like, I'm excited about it, but they're also. They're all wonderful kids. Like, I love them. My brother and sister and their spouses, they do a great job with them. And, you know, it's, you know, exciting. I don't want kids, but, like, I'm excited for the future because of kids like them. Like, if there are a lot of kids like them roaming around, I'm happy about it. What I'm not excited about is these sick fucks on the Supreme Court. Really, this whole administration.
TP
Let's get into it.
Sid
Let's get into it. I'm sure you saw the Supreme Court ruling. It was a six. Three decision.
TP
Six, three on party lines.
Sid
The Supreme Court ruled that Louisiana's congressional map, which created a second majority black district, was an unconstitutional. Unconstitutional racial gerrymander. The ruling effectively, effectively dismantled a key protection of the Voting Rights act that guaranteed communities of color the right to
TP
fair congressional districts, which happened in 1965 and also on my birthday. On your birthday in 1965. And this Louisiana map happened in 2024. We added one. One more black voting district. One district is causing this whole thing.
Sid
But it's very. It's very important to speak about it in that way. Like, you. Providing that timeline is. Is, like, very helpful because it really gets to the root of how evil these people are. We can go into detail about, like, what this means, but essentially, like, we talked about what this means for Louisiana, but they always do things that are going to end up is. It's like everything is, like, testing ground for them. Like, you just see something here and then. Cool. Like, we're about to do that in several other states, too. All of them, hopefully. I'm. What I'm so baffled by, by people who refuse to open their eyes to what's going on in America, is that these people will stop at nothing. Like you just said, there have been one district at it.
TP
It was one.
Sid
It was one. As soon as these people got back in Power.
TP
We still have a very red state.
Sid
But they said. They said, we don't want these voting. We don't want them represented. We don't want. This is the sort of shit that blows my mind when people. When people act like black people haven't been under attack and haven't been saying the things that these people are doing. They're essentially. Anytime, anytime that they're rolling stuff back for that that black people fought for, it's always just a matter of time until other people start to feel the effects of it. Like, we've. We've spoken about this several times on the show. These people are stopping at nothing if it. If it gives black people any upper hand in their eyes, which really isn't an upper hand. It's just starting to level. It's just starting to level the playing field.
TP
Exactly. Years later, hundreds. Hundreds of years later. But this is actually. This is such a threat to just democracy generally. And this is what white people are claiming that they're trying to protect is democracy, but by people removing rights and freedoms from other people is exactly what democracy is supposed to protect, which is exactly what you guys are tearing down. Democracy is supposed to be on the side of freedom and fairness for all. So we're getting into gerrymandering. There's multiple kinds of gerrymandering. There's racial gerrymandering and there's partisan gerrymandering. Racial gerrymandering is sorting voters based off of race, and it is illegal if it violates the Voting Rights act or improperly uses race as the primary factor. So what happened is they. The Supreme Court ruled out section 2. It's not completely dead, but it makes it very impossible moving forward for laws like this to be placed. Because they said that this one congressional map is illegal because of racial gerrymandering, because they built it around black people. And keep in mind, this is one district, okay? So what that is what's being said now is that you have to prove that there's racial gerrymandering. And it's very hard to prove something like this because there's also partisan gerrymandering and incumbent protections and just different ways that you have to be so precise and accurate in your wording on what's laid out. And also, we know that in America, wording in different ways can get you out of a lot of things as well, which is why we have orange in the presidency, which is why all these lies are being told, which is why gas is at a record high. Like all these things are happening how
Sid
high can they go?
TP
It can go higher because we're not even. This is the ceasefire. We're like, this is supposed to be the calm of the war and we already hit record highs. So what's very scary is that Jerry Mandering is now considered not illegal by definition. And everybody better buckle up because Louisiana, like Sid said earlier, is just a testing state. Alabama and Mississippi and South Carolina has hinted to the fact that they're going to be holding special, special legislative meetings to do the exact same thing in order to redistrict their voting maps. And this is going to be extremely problematic, not only as a black voter, but as a society, because again, and also people that wear the red hat, all the maggots of the world, y' all should understand what it, what voting or what cheating looks like, I guess, because you guys were claiming that, you know, Joe Biden cheated in the presidency, that he beat Donald Trump. So what, what's happening now is that the powers that be are now making cheating legal. They're legally redistricting these maps to make it legal so that you don't have to cheat, because it's now legal to just make it right or make it white, I should say. And so now, and everybody's worried about these midterms, right? And so now everybody's going to be redistricting their maps in hopes of doing this before the midterms. But who really knows where this is going to go? This is concerning because this law, by 2028, most states are going to try to redistrict their congressional maps in order to sit. And I saw quite a few examples of what these congressional redistricting maps, redistricting maps looks like. And pretty much it's freckles of blue. Freckles of blue.
Sid
Look, and last point. And we're going to move on to the next thing. But get these old ass Supreme Court justices the fuck out of there. Everybody in government, you can't be near what the life expectancy age is, still making decisions about things that were like, some of them were like teenagers when the Voting rights, Voting Rights act was passed. So you're, your relatives were probably racist. They probably instilled this in you.
TP
It's, it's not, it's not your world to be in anymore. It's not your world to judge. And certainly we don't want to follow those rules because your rules are quite racist.
Sid
All right, so W season's kicking off tomorrow and May 8, they're gonna be three games. We got D.C. versus Toronto, which you had something lovely to say about that.
TP
America versus Canada, baby. Show your colors, show your pride.
Sid
Absolutely not. And then Golden State. Golden State versus Seattle. Connecticut versus New York. Yeah, those going to be good games.
TP
I am so pumped, Sid. Like, I've been dying for WWE back. It's been really hard with only the MNBA on tv, but now we're back, baby. And this, this season, I feel like it's going to be more competitive and more exciting than ever before. And we got a lot, a lot of new looks, both free agency wise and just like new teams joining the W. It's good to see who's color.
Sid
Wait, whose colors do you like the best? Out of the way? Who are all the is. Portland, Toronto.
TP
Portland, Toronto.
Sid
That's it right now.
TP
Do you want to count the Valkyrie for last year?
Sid
Yeah, we can. Yeah. Out of the. Out of the expansion teams from the past.
TP
Okay.
Sid
Two years.
TP
Two years. Okay. So I'm going to have to go Valkyrie number one. That violet's just so cool.
Sid
Okay.
TP
And then I'm going to have to go with the tempo. Number two. I love. Oh, no, you got to cut.
Sid
No, you got to start, start, start. Binge cut.
TP
Okay. Start the Valkyrie. That violet is everything. Bench the tempo. I'm a big fan of the maroon, like pale blue colorway. I think it's cool. Metro, you can do a lot of like vintage looks with that too in Portland. Not that I don't like it, but red and black's just a little.
Sid
Is this easy?
TP
Yeah, I just feel like it's a little traditional. I feel like a lot of people go with red and black.
Sid
Oh, shots.
TP
I'm have to cut that one, unfortunately.
Sid
Shots. Portland. Fired.
TP
What about you?
Sid
I'd probably say I like red and black, so I'm gonna start super offended you just called me simple. But I think I'll start their colors and then I think I'm gonna have to bench Toronto as well. And then.
TP
Why? You're gonna cut the purple.
Sid
I'm gonna cut the belks. I'm so sorry. To the people I know there. It's not personal, but maybe it is. Kia, Kate. Tip. Natalie, Sugar. But I wouldn't overthink it.
TP
No, I. I would. Because here's some key facts for this upcoming evaluation. I mean, this upcoming season, 2026 franchise valuations came out and the Golden State Valkyries is sitting at number one. And they're worth $850 million.
Sid
Young moolah, baby.
TP
And you just cut them.
Sid
I know.
TP
So obviously I only cut their colors.
Sid
Shout out To Nat. I wonder if Nat is dropping F bombs.
TP
I wonder if Nat's not dropping apologizing.
Sid
I wonder if she's still dropping MF bombs like she used to with us. Need to ask?
TP
Probably not. We had to like break a lot of things down for not. We were like, hey, this is where you're supposed to laugh. Nat,
Sid
she was like, if it's not helping us win a championship, I really don't give a damn. Nothing's fun.
TP
What does it have to do with the four court press? Absolutely nothing, Natalie. But it's still funny.
Sid
What a firecracker. I miss her. Funny guy.
TP
We love them. So, you know, the WNBA is on the up and up right now. The Valkyries are worth 850 million. New York Liberty in second place at 600 million. The Fever at 560 million. And then in fourth place, we got the Seattle Storm at $425 million. These are numbers that the W has never seen before. We also haven't been seeing any splits outside of the Connecticut sun, so hopefully. Hey, y' all are working a lot more money. Let's see what you guys got going on over there. I'm just kidding. But it's really awesome to see these kind of numbers. Yeah, and speaking like about W teams, because not too long ago these numbers weren't even remotely in the picture for owning a W team or like seeing what evaluation for, you know, a W team is.
Sid
So I was, and I was one, I was like, what? What all goes in to it? That's what I wanted, I was curious about.
TP
So in the article it said that like revenue. The Valkyries last year generated a league record $78 million in revenue during their 2025 debut season, fueled by over 10,000 plus season ticket holders and a robust sponsorship portfolio. It's also ticket and sponsorships, media rights uplift and just a revenue multiplier. Which means the WBA now holds the highest valued revenue multiplier of any major sports league ahead of the NBA Hardwood Heroics for context ownership group that paid 50 million in expansion fee in 2023. That's a 17 time return in under three years. New expansion teams like Cleveland, Detroit, Philadelphia are now paying 250, 250 million to get in in a fivefold increase of what Golden State got paid. So that's crazy. These are crazy numbers for the W. And you know, as a league that we love to death, this is awesome to see. And just in time for the 30th year I know of.
Sid
W. That's crazy. It's like 30 years when you look at the things that have taken place. I mean, we both were in the bubble season, which was, you know, insane to be a part of, but also, we did some wonderful things there. Just like we should. Speaking out about injustices, getting Reverend Warnock, Loeffler. Yeah. Off her, out of her position and Warnock elected, like, it was just like a big moment in NW sports history. So now for it to be at 30 years, we just finished with a CBA that's historical. People don't, you know, always think about just how. How young the league is. You know, we look at it in comparison to what the NBA, what other leagues are doing. It's like, at this point in time, where were they? What were they doing? What were. What were they getting in relation to what, like, I don't know, the average person was making or something. But such huge things have happened in this league, you know, in a short time. So it's. It's exciting to see. It was exciting the, you know, to see the draft and see young players getting their opportunity because, you know, you have your funny story. I have my moment of what that felt like. So it's just cool. Like, people are. Are, you know, making such incredible salaries now. Like, you don't have to worry about. You can go overseas, like, in play, I guess, if you, you know, if you really want to. But it's not like you feel the need to, because financially you would be in dire straits, you know, like. Like you could just chill.
TP
So, for example, how Stewie left unrivaled, went straight to Fenner, and now she's back in the W. Stewie's cleaning up. Hey, Stewie, I could use a lunch every now and then. For real. Just hit me up with. That being said, though, I would like to announce that I will not be playing in the WNBA this season. Unfortunately, this year will not be my year. My health journey hopefully will be, you know, coming to. Is it an end? Like, do you end your health journey?
Sid
I mean, like, your health complications? Yeah, like, the complications.
TP
My health complications are hopefully coming to an end, as everyone knows. I've been, you know, dealing with a lot of things for the past year, and, you know, some things have really not gotten too much better for me, but, you know, you just gotta roll with the punches. And I finally got approved for what I've been referring to as a little hissy, which is otherwise medically known as a hysterectomy and hissy bit that will. I'm having a little hissy fit. And when that happens, that's actually going to be the start of my potential journey back to court, but definitely my journey back to living a healthy lifestyle. No more blood infusions, no more any of any of my health stuff, everything. And I can actually, like, walk around the world as a functional person again. And I. I'm. I'm really looking forward to it. And, you know, for all those who are struggling with something medically or just something emotionally, whatever your health thing is, mental health, physical health, whatever that is that you're carrying with you, I hope that, you know, this story you can find some kind of, you know, revelance to or just something that you can see yourself in, because it's not easy to be carrying around something, especially when it's not obvious to an outsider what that looks like or what you're dealing with. But just keep showing in the world, up in the world as a good person and, you know, keep manifesting good things, and here we are. So after a long time of trying to get medical clearance for this, I finally got it. And, you know, this is the start of my road to recovery. And I feel bittersweet. I think that, you know, there's a lot that goes into having a hysterectomy and a thought and just, like, the emotional place of, like, being a woman. And also, you know, removing a body part at my age is, like, really scary, and there's, like, a lot of emotions. But at the end of the day, like, I do feel like what's best for me is to handle this today or now. And I said, damn you, change it to today. Yeah, it's actually right after this. I've been fasting. But, you know, this is a. This is a good thing for me. It's a difficult decision. It's not easy by any means. And I hope no one takes this joke as, you know, something that I'm not taking lightly. It's been a long time coming, and I'm, like, actually really exhausted and bittersweet that this is happening. But shout out to my doctors and everyone who has been there for me along this journey. It's been a very, very, very long year. And I'm very excited to say that, you know, my health. I'm prioritizing my health, and so were my doctors, and we're finally doing something about it. And you handled it so well.
Sid
I mean, like, there's.
TP
Thank you.
Sid
I don't think there's a way to handle it poorly, really. But, I mean, as far as your, like, disposition, you didn't take it out on people like, you weren't mad at the world. Not that you couldn't have been like, you very well could be, but the way that you continue to just show up for other people and, you know, work on your mental and your physical as best you could, and I don't know, I'm just. I'm proud of you, and I really. I hope that this is the end of this. I pray and I believe that it will be. You're gonna be good. Please tell this joke and don't ever explain your joke again. People will be all right.
TP
I think that. I think that, like, having people like you around me as well, like, it hasn't been the easiest thing. And it's also not, like, the cutest thing to share with people around you about, like, what's going on and having somebody like you in my corner and also someone, you know, that was playing, got hurt and was in a similar position to me. It's been hard to see you go through a journey like this, but also the way that you've shown up for me through my moments and my struggles as well, like, as a friend, I really appreciate you.
Sid
Of course I love you, my dog.
TP
I love you too, dude. And I. I wouldn't be here with this mentality.
Sid
I know you're white, but sometimes I'm talking to you and I'm, you know, I don't know. You're not saying, like, real white shit, and then you'll do shit like that. I love you, my dog. No. Yeah, I love you too, dude. Totally
TP
gnarly. You know, you hang out as a white person, you hang out with black people for so long, but then your true roots just come out at some point in the best way possible.
Sid
Tell your joke. Tell your joke because I love it.
TP
Which one?
Sid
Your. Your hissy joke. You said you hope people don't.
TP
Huh? Yeah. So I'm having a little hissy, and I thought, you know, I didn't know how. How comfortable the doctors would be or how anybody would be, but it's my hissy, so I can do whatever I want. I told them I was going to go under the knife, and I want to be referred to as Teresa, but when I come out, I want to be referred to as Tyler moving forward. I'm just kidding. This isn't my announcement to transition. It's such a transitioning joke. But, yeah, no, I'm without uterus, but I'm still a woman. I'm a she, her pronoun woman. And I want to stick with that so. Thanks, y' all for understanding.
Sid
Thanks for understanding.
TP
Thanks y' all for dealing with my joke.
Sid
Yeah, in addition to that news, I'm going to just comment on it because people keep tagging me and stuff. Look, all my social media shit. I don't know where y' all got this confused. If I post something about a vacation, don't come asking me about work. I'm posting about a vacation. You either comment about that vacation or you wait for me to post about whatever topic it is that you want to talk about. If I don't post about it, I must not feel like talking about it. Right. That's usually how that goes. But with love. Saying that. With love. You all keep tagging me, asking, you know, just inquiring about W. Did you retire? No, I haven't retired. I don't know if y' all remember I had a bad ACL tear. I had a bad ACL tear in August of last season. I'm 36, so, yeah, I'm just taking the appropriate time to. To recover, if that's cool, everybody. I don't know, like,
TP
hey, no, I think you're good. I don't think that. I mean, maybe people are pressing you, and maybe the standard of you bouncing back should be of your freshman year in college when you came back after three months. So, yeah, so sorry about that. Everybody knows she's still nursing her knee back to health. It looks really good. Yeah, don't mistake her looking all great in her tick tocks and giving all these views and her, like, doing all these things as she's ready. She looks great. Yes, she does, everybody. But she's making sure she's crossing all our T's, dotting all our eyes.
Sid
Yeah, that's it. But thank y', all. So thank y'. All. Like, I appreciate you wanting me to have a job. I do. I do intend to still play. Like, you know, I'm gonna come back and be good for AU and, you know, hopefully get picked up by Houston. Shit. That's where I. I would love to just.
TP
Same H town, baby. Let's go.
Sid
That's the closest the team's been to you. I'm like, if I could just end my career there and I'm healthy and I can play. Go out playing a few minutes. What? What that would be.
TP
I'm about to.
Sid
That'll be nuts.
TP
Like, my body is about to go through a major transformation. Not only me being Tyler, but also me. Oh, if I'm Tyler, I can't be in the W. No, no, you're good.
Sid
You're good.
TP
Just tuck.
Sid
Hey, just tuck it.
TP
Yeah. No, we could go to H Town if you're listening. Ownership group. Hey, Sid and I, again are 100% on championships, and we're on the same team.
Sid
Yeah. Yeah, right.
TP
Take that as well. This body's about to go through a major transformation. I'm about to be a big body Benz coming back next year. I can already see if I'm ready for it.
Sid
You know, I can already see.
TP
But all this is saying is that we are available this WNBA season. And who knows? You might even catch sit in TP in a WNBA city near you. Question mark.
Sid
You might.
TP
All of a sudden, my summer looks pretty available. Hey, so, yeah, just keep your eyes peeled.
Sid
I was about to say, though, like, other people who have been, you know, obviously, we're not playing. We were seeing the news about other players that people were surprised didn't get picked up. You know, Tina Tosh hadn't been picked up. I think there were. There were a couple.
TP
Tierra McCowan, Kelani Brown, Kalani Brown. Tosh got picked up by the. By the Sky. And I honestly, I don't know how. I don't know how you feel, but for the sky, I think that's a good pick. Huge move. That's a really great move. They're. They need a point guard. They need a point guard that also plays on both sides of the ball. And I just think that especially while they're waiting on Sloot to get back from her injury, what a pickup that was. And congratulations to Taj. I know that probably took a lot longer than what she wanted. Congratulations to Ty Marsh and Chicago for making that deal happen. But everyone can stop worrying now. Tosh Cloud is on a team.
Sid
But the funny thing to me, I was seeing stuff and people were reporting, you know, because they were asking, was it. Was it Tasha's activism that got her in trouble or, you know, or, like, got her blackballed? And people were like, no, because they went around and they asked GMs, so how do y' all think blackballing works? Do you think that if somebody comes to you as the person doing the blackballing and asks, hey, are you blackballing somebody? That they're gonna say, yeah,
TP
yeah, that's what honesty means.
Sid
I was like, when people were responding that they're like, no, because several GMs, several such and such said that, yeah, babe. So that's what. That's what you should say. You're not gonna openly admit that. I'm glad to see her on a team, I think you need.
TP
It would have been. It would have been bad for the W to her see. Not her to Nazi. Oh, my God.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
To not see her on a team, it like, she's in the past. Especially in the past. Since. Since I've been in the league, Tasha's been a consistent. Probably like top three point guard in the W, especially playing on both sides of the ball at her side and
Sid
multiple guard in multiple positions. Like, I think people. I hate when people really underestimate defense and what it requires. They're like, it just requires just effort. No, it's not just effort. I worked very hard to be a good defensive player. Like, you have to be in shape for one, but you also have to be smart. The same skill that it takes. Not the same. It's a different skill set to be like a very good offensive player, but you have to be exacting. You have to be precise. You're getting the spots when you're on defense.
TP
You also have to understand your scout, too. You have to do homework before every game and understand where things are coming and where you're going to get hit.
Sid
Because one can argue that defending a really good player is a lot harder than having to score on somebody. Like, you can make that case. I'm having to guess at what you're doing. I'm having. I'm having to force you into positions and hope that you make a mistake based off of what I know statistically you're gonna do. I've seen enough film on you to know if I go here, you're gonna do this. But saying that to say, like, Tosh is a very, very good defender and she's done it against multiple positions and for multiple years that she's been playing. So to like, the point that we were making, to have a guard like her out of the league where a lot of people don't possess that full skill set that she has. Was looking interesting.
TP
Funny story. This just popped up in my head, too. Didn't plan for this. I was playing for the Washington Mystics.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
And we had seven healthy players. The league did not allow us to get a medical. What's it called? Like, a medical. A hardship. A medical hardship. Because Elena Deladon was able to put on her jersey, she wasn't allowed to play. But because she could dress out, we couldn't get a hardship. So technically, we had eight in Jersey. Okay. Keep in mind. Yes. So most of our post players are out. It's like me and one other post player that are still playing no. 2. Maisha. Maisha Hines Allen was one of the posters. Me, Maisha. And then one more post player. Maisha Hines Allen gets hurt in the game, like, in the first quarter, rolls her ankle. We're down to now six players in the first quarter against Atlanta, and we're.
Sid
What year is this?
TP
Oh, my God.
Sid
What year is this? Who's in? Who's on Atlanta?
TP
Who was on Atlanta?
Sid
Was it too.
TP
That game was such. It might have been. It might have been. This was right after the bubble, actually. 20, 21.
Sid
Okay, okay.
TP
So we. So we're playing. Tosh plays the entire game. Keep in mind, we have six players. Tosh is. We're subbing everybody out besides Tosh, because we could bump Tosh to the five if we need to. Taj was our five.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
Taj played one through five that whole game because we didn't have enough people to play. Literally, we didn't have enough people. One of our counted bodies was Elena, who, when Maisha got her, we were looking at the bench like, so can you tie your shoes a little bit?
Sid
Can you shoot threes?
TP
Hey, can you just stare in the corner? Corner to corner.
Sid
You don't have to guard nobody. Corner to corner, shoot.
TP
And we ended up winning that game against Atlanta. But so everybody gave. Obviously, everybody gave a lot that game. I actually. I had a crazy game. I had a really great game. I think I had, like, 25 or something like that. Humbly.
Sid
I just needed time, coach.
TP
All you needed was an opportunity, baby. And I was shooting the lights out of it. So this isn't about me. This was about Tox. But, yeah, Tosh played one through five that game, and it was actually insane. Insane.
Sid
But not too many people in the league do that. I cannot name on one hand. It's like Tasha and Gabby Williams.
TP
No, seriously, though. And maybe. I don't know, Brittany Sykes plays really good defense, and she's. She's very scrappy, but she's a little small. Maybe like a 1 through 5. Satsu probably good, capable.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
You know who could. Kareema Christmas Crema could guard everybody, literally. Oh, Kayla Thornton can guard everybody, for sure. Kayla Thornton.
Sid
Thornton's strong as hell, but, yeah, like, happy. Happy for Tosh. Like, obviously that meant that Haley Van Lith got. Got waved, but, you know, she's a good player. I'm sure somebody's gonna pick her up. She'll find. She'll find her way. I think she also just needs time.
TP
Probably she needs time.
Sid
But I think Tosh is a better Tosh is the, you know, better fit for that. For that team. I would say.
TP
I would say this is gonna be
Sid
the end of several notches to pick
TP
up, and this isn't the end of Haley's career. I could see Haley getting picked up almost probably immediately.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
Like, Haley's gonna do really, really well.
Sid
Yeah, for sure.
TP
But that. That was a good pickup for Chicago. Just trans. Transaction wise.
Sid
Yeah. Yeah.
TP
Just another W News ESPN, espnW, I guess, posted a top 50 list of who the top. This is the. The caption right here. It says, who are the top 50 WNBA players heading into the 2026 season? And the emoji of choice was, like, side eyes. So I'm like, are they trying to get a reaction out of people? Like, were they trying to stir the potential to start? Like, what's the deal? I could agree with number one, it's Asia Wilson. But just 1, 2, 3 is at Stewie. I mean, at Fee, Stewie is 1 through 4. Asia at Fee Stewie. And then, like, John Cole Jones is 18. Like, Gabby Williams is 24. We have, like, Ezzy 39, Tip Hayes, 40. It's like, who made this list? Who made this list? And what were the parameters on, like, yeah, what happened? Because I'm like, I'm looking at this list and I'm like, maybe they were just trying to stir the pot with the list. I don't know. But I can't tell some of these. I'm like, oh, cool. Yeah. Like, yeah. I could see Alicia gray being number seven. Awesome. Kelsey Mitchell number 11. Kelsey Mitchell's the 11th best player.
Sid
I'm like, she was literally. She was like, for Arab. She lied. Right? She literally. For Kelsey, she literally carried us to the point of exhaustion that she was, like, carried out in the semifinals. Like, what? In a game where if she's healthy, we probably go. We probably win.
TP
Upset the. The eventual champion.
Sid
Eventual champions.
TP
So I think with literally a fraction of their roster still that wasn't on ir.
Sid
So I'm like, I think she's deserving of a little higher than 11, I would say.
TP
Top five, probably. Anywho, I think it just. ESPN was trying to.
Sid
Yeah, stir the pot.
TP
Stir that pot. There's, like, quite a few names over here in the comments. Like, I'm looking at Dierka. I'm looking at Candace Parker. I'm looking at Mo Curry, Ty Young. Everybody's claiming rage bait.
Sid
So it is.
TP
I would have to say that this has got to be a rage bait post. But it is kind of crazy that in the Caption. They were using the side eyes.
Sid
Yeah. Yeah. They knew what they were doing, and people always fall for it. But I don't know if you saw some of the rookies who were waved. They were, like, making tiktoks and doing dances, like, inside of the locker rooms. And I was like, that's such a. Such a new thing.
TP
Because it was like, that's a Gen Z thing.
Sid
Yeah, we just. Well, we also didn't have social media like that. Like, it wasn't as popular as it is right now to do stuff like that, but.
TP
And by social media, do you mean fun?
Sid
Huh?
TP
And by social media, do you mean fun?
Sid
Right. We didn't have.
TP
You weren't allowed to have fun if you made the team or if you got cut from the team. If you showed anything other than. All right, I'm gonna give an example. I make the team, I'm gonna be like, oh, I'm gonna crush everybody else. And if I don't make the team, I have to be, like, distraught. My life's over. What am I gonna do without women's basketball? Like, I have to be the fact that we're making, like, yeah. Not on the team. Hey. Yeah. This is definitely a new day and age.
Sid
It's so new. It's hilarious to me, though. Like, no way. Y' all are in there making videos. But I. You know, they had a good experience. Like, they gotta have fun with it. It's funny.
TP
It is.
Sid
But it made me think about, like. Like you said, like, our younger days, there was stuff like, after losses and games. I mean, this is the W. In college, there's a. You get on the bus if you lost or, you know, get on the plane. Like, shut. Shut the up.
TP
Don't talk.
Sid
Don't be up there.
TP
Don't talk with any kind of, like, giggle or, like, any sign of happiness do not show.
Sid
Right? It's like, hey, can everybody chill? Like, we lost. We could have played better. But do I have to fake sadness on the bus? I'm not sad. Like, there are things that should have. We should have done this stuff better, y'. All. Like, come on, be accountable. Do what we supposed to do next game, play together. All those things. But do I have to be quiet? You know, it's hard for me to be quiet anyway.
TP
So hard. It's so hard. No, I was about to say no. It's so hard.
Sid
Especially if I didn't play. I can't talk.
TP
Yeah. I didn't mess up.
Sid
I didn't do.
TP
I didn't get checked in to mess up. I. I contributed 0% of this loss. I was cheering my ass off.
Sid
I didn't do nothing. So I can't get on the. I'm on the. I'm. I'm on the phone, getting on the bus, but I'm like, you know, somebody say something funny, you damn near can't laugh. I gotta laugh, though. I'm like.
TP
And I know I'm doing my conditioning tomorrow to make up for my. And y' all are gonna be laughing at me doing my conditioning. So I want to laugh right now if I have a good joke. Especially all you guys are acting like we just lost our firstborn. Looking around like, hey, yo, no, this was just a nail biter I saw like four times. We just could have made a good to great pass. It's so simple. It's so simple. But, hey, but.
Sid
You're an idiot. I'm done with you.
TP
Bounce that ass. Just like a friend. You know what? Outside of my health stuff, I do probably need a year to like, re. Regather my professionalism. I've been out the league for too long. I've been having too much fun with it.
Sid
I'm the wrong one. I'm the wrong one to be kicking it with.
TP
I've been hanging out with you. I. I have a game.
Sid
Huh?
TP
I have a game for you. Oh, and also, I don't think this is a game. I actually think this is a really sick moment. But you like to just make sick moments. Game. So for your definition of game, this is a game. Okay.
Sid
Yes, I love games.
TP
So I watched this documentary over the weekend. I guess this is somewhat of a spoiler alert. I watched a documentary over the weekend, and I want to present to you this hypothetical. Since you are the type of person that loves a hypothetical.
Sid
I love it so much.
TP
Okay, so I don't know if anybody watched, but there's this documentary out on Netflix right now called Should I Marry a Murderer? And it's a 3.3 part true crime docu series. And before I get into the docu series, and I'm barely going to touch on it, I'm just using this to ask Sid these questions.
Sid
Okay,
TP
so you and Marty have been dating for some time.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
Okay, so let's just say that you're today years old and you found out that, you know, Marty killed somebody. Okay,
Sid
Immediate question.
TP
And so let's just say that you found out that Marty killed somebody. And she killed somebody because she was driving home on a dark night and she hit a biker.
Sid
This sound like Beauty and Black. You seen Beauty?
TP
No.
Sid
Oh, all right.
TP
But it isn't my list. So would you stick with Marty in your relationship if you found out that she hit a biker on accident.
Sid
Yeah. And kept going?
TP
Yes.
Sid
A hidden run. She. They died.
TP
Yeah, they died.
Sid
That's how they're. The murder. Oh, no. What?
TP
What?
Sid
But I'm calling. I'm calling them folks on you right then and there.
TP
Okay? What, so you would just. Out of everything that you know about all the really great things that she's done, you're gonna let her accidentally hitting some man on a bike and just taking off be the end of it?
Sid
Not you casually saying her doing a hit, like killing somebody and doing a hit and run? No, I. I don't know that I would go turn her in immediately, but I'm looking for this case and I'm looking like, for this family to see what's going on with them in their life.
TP
Okay? So let's just say.
Sid
I'll say this. I don't know what happens, like internally when somebody. When you hit somebody and it. And it genuinely was an accident. I don't know, like how your mind is racing to see that you probably have killed a person. But I can't understand the mindset of leaving. So I'm scared. I'm scared of you. Because since that moment, we've been going on days, we've been kicking it, laughing a lot. And I was.
TP
This happened three years ago. She's like, three years ago, I accidentally killed. Killed somebody.
Sid
We've shared. So that's what I'm saying. We've been laughing so much for you to have this very dark secret. What the are you laughing about?
TP
Okay, so you're.
Sid
You're. You're psychology.
TP
Are you asking. Are you asking questions like, hey, like
Sid
I'm making it seem like it's no big deal probably so I can get out of there, because I can't. I can't trust your.
TP
Do you eventually go to the police?
Sid
Huh?
TP
Do you eventually go to the police?
Sid
Yeah.
TP
Let's just say also the site, the person that was hit on the bike was doing a hundred mile bike for charity, and all of a sudden he was struck in the middle of the night and they couldn't find this man. Nowhere to be seen for three years. It's just a big mystery how this man just disappeared off the planet.
Sid
This is too messed up. I. I don't. Oh, okay. Do you think that when people do something like this. You ever seen the movie Hereditary?
TP
No.
Sid
Oh, all right. This boy Was driving the car. Spoiler alert. Inside the spoiler alert, I guess. Oh, we never had one of those. So he's driving the car.
TP
Spoiler square.
Sid
Everything you say is funny. That should not have had me that week. Like, all right, so the boy is driving the car. His sister's in the back seat. The window's down. She's, like, looking out the window. I can't remember if music is playing or what. He's like, driving pretty fast. She. She gets decapitated. So he drives the rest. He's driving home. I think he must have turned to look like while he was still driving or either when he got home, he saw. But he got out the car, went in the house, went to his room. I believe he, like, went to sleep or something. The mom goes to the car because she's wondering where the daughter is, probably when she goes to check the room. And the daughter, obviously is in the car still. So the mom's, like, screaming. The next scene is like, bloody murder. Because you're seeing. But I'm saying all that to say, okay, the brother did something on accident or, like, you're driving, so you're responsible. You enter a state of, like, shock or something. I'm guessing that's a decapitation.
TP
Have to, huh?
Sid
I'm like, your mind has to do something. So I won't say that everybody's crazy who, like, reacts a certain way, but I just can't understand the mind that. That drives off. Because you got to have a thought to decide to drive off. He went in the house, I think went to bed or whatever. You probably just like, I don't even know how would I even go say this to my mom? Like, you shut down. But I don't know, the driving off and leaving the person just.
TP
Well, that scares me. In the documentary they did, they drove off, they. They came back and the guy was actually still alive.
Sid
He was alive.
TP
He was alive when they came back. And they just brought him to their property and, like, buried him on this huge estate. And there's a lot that went into this. It's actually really crazy because the person that is the main person, like, interviewed in this documentary, what her name is, she's a doctor. Her name is Dr. Caroline Muirheads. And she was dating this guy named Sandy. And this happened. He told her that he did this. She then, like, was secretly gathering evidence on him throughout the entire process of him finding out, I mean, about the hit and run. And she's just, like, uncovering bit by bit, she was talking to her parents about potentially marrying this guy before this happened. So all this was coming as, like, crazy information. Then she was secretly gathering evidence. This was happening in, like, I want to say, like, Sweden or one of the way.
Sid
She was a forensic pathologist.
TP
They said she's a forensic pathologist on top of that. And he was a, like, a professional hunter, so he knew how to, like, clean meat and, like, like, discard of blood from animals and, like, just do different things very, very well. And he really. He really trusted her. And it just shows how, like, the police was, like, using Caroline to get evidence, but they weren't actually emotionally or physically or any kind of support for her. And you just see her go through the spiral, and she also, like, recollects her time about, like, what it feels like to be put in danger, like, collecting evidence for the police, but the police not put into protective services or any kind of, like, no protection.
Sid
What?
TP
You just understand that she just goes through this mental breakdown and no one's there to support her. And also, there's no book or, like, science to talk about. Like, how do you handle a situation where your boyfriend previously murdered somebody?
Sid
Right?
TP
And. Yeah, so that's just a little game.
Sid
Hey, thanks for that game, girly. I like it, though. You're getting the hang of it. I love that.
TP
It was actually so sick. I was so scared for her. You.
Sid
She.
TP
She's just humanized in that video. You should check it out, though.
Sid
Okay, I'm a little scared, but.
TP
No, you should definitely check it out. It's pretty good.
Sid
Well, T.P. we're at the end of the app, buddy, but I know we got something special coming up on Sunday that our. Our babysitters hopefully have already thought about, but it's Mother's Day, y'. All.
TP
It is Mother's Day.
Sid
You know, I know y' all see, people say it, like, it doesn't have to be a mother who birthed you. It could be somebody who's just. Just a maternal figure in your life, you know, a guardian. It might not even be blood, but just somebody who has, you know, instilled things in you. You know, you feel like they, you know, inspire you to be. To be better, to. To consider the way that you act in the world, how you treat people. And you just. You know, for my mom, I love my mom so much. She's done so much for her kids, for her family. She's just an amazing and strong person. So smart, hilarious, talented, all these things. And, you know, I'm just going to make sure, you know, we'll go eat as a family and stuff, but then I'll just take time with my mom individually because I'm her favorite, as we figured out last episode or two episodes ago. And yeah, just have one on one time with my mom. Man, people gotta just cherish that when you have it. Just like you were talking about your health early in the episode is so, you know, when we have like a. You might wake up with a stuffy nose or you have a cold, and whenever you have a cold, you're just like cherishing the days where you didn't. You're like, I can't wait to have those days back. I'm going to appreciate them so much. I'm going to do everything with my days when I'm healthy.
TP
Like, yeah, you forget what you were feeling like when you were feeling bad.
Sid
Yeah. Like when you have people in your life who take care of you and love you and pour into you, like, value them, think about them in the way that you would if they were no longer present. And for the people who no longer have those figures present, like praying that you have some peace today and that you still find time to. To think of happy memories and celebrate
TP
the things that, you know, you found most cherished by your loved ones.
Sid
Yes.
TP
Because mothers are very special people. Biological, adopted, drag moms. Whatever you are, if you have been a maternal figure to somebody like you were, you're life changing and similar to you. Like, my mom is hilarious and smart and.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
So incredible. I love my mom to death and I. I wouldn't be in the position that I'm in. I wouldn't be the person that I'm in.
Sid
Yeah.
TP
Without her. And so special. Shout out to all the moms. The mom figures. Everyone that's doing the Lord's work on Mother's Day, thank you guys so much. And we love you and we celebrate you.
Sid
Yeah, we do. Well. Oh, I think we gotta do my favorite segment.
TP
It goes down in the dm. It go down. It go down in the dm. It goes.
Sid
All right, y'. All. So for this segment of down in the dm, it's not a dm, but y' all are hilarious. Somebody just tagged me on social media. Didn't attach any words to it. They didn't say. They just put my name on the, like in the comments of the video. And I started watching a video and it's essentially somebody getting annoyed. Like, if I'm listening to a podcast, I should be able to know everything that's going on. You shouldn't be Acting so much stuff out and not saying what's going on. Like, podcasts are for audio. Anytime you're including video, you're putting it on YouTube or wherever you put it. That's not just a podcast anymore. So I was like, no way. We got an audio listener. We got a baby. A babysitter who's an audio listener. Giving me attitude.
TP
A lot of attitude, it seems like.
Sid
Like, to not type any words either to me. Just let me just sit. Let me just put his name in this real quick.
TP
But to be fair, like, nothing did have to be. If you did take the time to watch that video, nothing had to be said. I think, like, it was just like,
Sid
hey, basically, stop talking to our audio listeners.
TP
It's like, ding dong ditch. Like, you opened up the door. Like, but to that video. Hey. So, hey, special shout out to the babysitters that are humbling us. One tweet at a time, one post at a time. We thank you guys.
Sid
Yeah, we love y'. All. Thank y'. All. But this is a great episode. Tp. I always enjoy talking to you. It felt like. I don't know, it felt like a long time since last episode for some reason.
TP
It really was.
Sid
I think as I was moving and stuff, that's probably why.
TP
Yeah, it felt like. And because. Because our rights are just, like, being lost one by one. So that makes time really go by quickly, too.
Sid
That's for sure. What it is, y', all. We love y'. All. If you got anything for us, whether it's drama, if it's advice you want from us, or you want to give us some, we'd like that, too. Or something amazing and kind that happened to you or you did for someone else. DM us. Share it with us. Let us know what y' all want us to talk about on episodes. Like, we really are trying to pay attention to the comments on social, on YouTube everywhere. Like, we want to talk about the things that y' all want to hear about, because, as you see, we could take it all around the world if you leave it up to us, but just DM us at unsupervised ctp and we can't wait to hear from you.
TP
And as always, you guys, don't forget to throw kindness around like confetti.
Sid
Love y' all.
TP
Next week. We love you guys. We'll see you around.
Sid
That's how much I like it.

they gonna block them?
Guest Rapper
When it's game time and you know I'm gonna block them? And we cover everything like whoa, who harder than us? And yeah, we looking down? Don't hate us? Cause they smaller than us? And yeah, my flow is so damn sick? I be coughing it up? You said that we going flat? Well, then I'm calling your blood?

Unsupervised with Syd & TP
Date: May 7, 2026
Hosts: Syd Colson ("Sid") and Theresa Plaisance ("TP")
In this vibrant and wide-ranging episode, Syd and TP alternate between lighthearted personal recaps and an incisive, impassioned discussion about the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision on gerrymandering, particularly focusing on Louisiana. They contextualize the ruling’s impacts, break down the mechanics of racial vs. partisan gerrymandering, and discuss what this means for Black voters and American democracy at large. The episode also features classic “Unsupervised” detours—life updates, a WNBA season preview, retirement/health updates, and quirky hypothetical games—delivering the trademark blend of humor and heart that defines the show.
"'If you’re a girl, then why is your voice so deep?' I don’t really know. And then… we just got back to our gymnastics." – TP (03:16)
"From the moment I walk into Simone’s house… she’s talking shit to me… she makes jokes at me, but also talks shit about me through freestyling." – Sid (05:22)
On the Supreme Court Ruling:
"Anytime that they’re rolling stuff back that Black people fought for, it’s always just a matter of time until other people start to feel the effects." – Sid (10:39)
On Racial vs. Partisan Gerrymandering:
"Jerry Mandering is now considered not illegal by definition. And everybody better buckle up…" – TP (13:01)
"They're legally redistricting these maps to make it legal so that you don’t have to cheat, because it’s now legal to just make it right—or make it white, I should say." – TP (13:10)
On the WNBA’s Growth:
